- 6:41Speaker 3: I realize my husband has not been wearing his wedding ring. Well,
- 6:45Speaker 3: so where I asked him about it? Well, and I'll
- 6:50Speaker 3: tell you what he told me. Well in just a
- 6:52Speaker 3: few minutes. All right, stay right there, Washington's Variety of
- 6:55Speaker 3: the eighties. Now he's in today with us, Toby and
- 6:58Speaker 3: Chilly in the morning. You good, Thanks for you. He's
- 7:00Speaker 3: in ninety seven point one Wash FM today. Alright, Chilly,
- 7:04Speaker 3: this wedding ring. I detected something in your voice. You're
- 7:08Speaker 3: feeling some sort of way about it. Tell us what's up.
- 7:10Speaker 3: I was cleaning our bedroom the other day and noticed
- 7:13Speaker 3: that my husband's wedding ring was in the night stand drawer,
- 7:16Speaker 3: and it was surprising because he had never removed it
- 7:20Speaker 3: since the day I slid it on his finger, made
- 7:23Speaker 3: twenty second, twenty eleven.
- 7:24Speaker 2: That's thirteen years ago, give or take.
- 7:26Speaker 3: A long time ago, right, And I kind of paused
- 7:31Speaker 3: and thought, why is he wearing it? And I asked
- 7:33Speaker 3: him about it, and he reminded me over two months
- 7:35Speaker 3: ago when he had emergency gall bladder surgery and had
- 7:37Speaker 3: his gallbladder remove that he had to have it taken
- 7:40Speaker 3: off at the hospital because he can't be wearing no rings.
- 7:42Speaker 3: And they almost had to cut it off because he
- 7:45Speaker 3: had never removed it, so his fingers have gotten a
- 7:47Speaker 3: little bit chunkier.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Well, yeah, you know, yeah, you grow over time.
- 7:51Speaker 3: And we had to really work it off because he
- 7:53Speaker 3: didn't want it to be cut off. We used lotions
- 7:55Speaker 3: and potions, and he never asked for it back when
- 7:58Speaker 3: after the surgery, and I said, well, why didn't you
- 8:01Speaker 3: just ask me where it was? Because I was keeping
- 8:03Speaker 3: it for you, and I think a part of him
- 8:05Speaker 3: was paranoid that it wasn't going to fit again. And
- 8:08Speaker 3: I said, well, we could just get a silicone one,
- 8:10Speaker 3: because that's like trendy, you know, those little rubber ones
- 8:12Speaker 3: that yeah, guys.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Nine.
- 8:15Speaker 3: But no, that's not what he wanted. So yeah, I
- 8:18Speaker 3: shoved it back on his finger.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Two months went by and you didn't notice it.
- 8:21Speaker 3: I'm not that type of person that reads into stuff
- 8:24Speaker 3: like that. S The only reason I noticed is because
- 8:25Speaker 3: it was sitting in his Yeah.
- 8:27Speaker 2: But I mean that's very out of character from what
- 8:29Speaker 2: you just described for him to not wear it. Correct. Yeah,
- 8:32Speaker 2: so the ring is now back on the finger. Did
- 8:35Speaker 2: you say I do all over again when you put
- 8:38Speaker 2: it back on?
- 8:39Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, I did, and I had
- 8:41Speaker 3: our son watch. I said, hey, Donato, this is how
- 8:44Speaker 3: he came on the first time. Of course, it was
- 8:45Speaker 3: a lot tougher to get it back on now, but
- 8:48Speaker 3: it's back now.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Did he kiss the bride?
- 8:52Speaker 3: Mm? No, I don't think so.
- 8:54Speaker 2: What it's ninety seven point one watch chef. Then well,
- 8:57Speaker 2: the ring is safe and soundback on Don's finger and
- 9:00Speaker 2: they all lived happily ever after. Now coming up in
- 9:02Speaker 2: just minutes with Toby and Chilly in the Morning. Top
- 9:04Speaker 2: stories at the top of the hour. Chili, what can
- 9:07Speaker 2: we expect?
- 9:07Speaker 3: Well, we know a lot of people who do intermittent
- 9:09Speaker 3: fasting and skip breakfast to lose weight, but a new
- 9:12Speaker 3: study suggests that meal timing is what's actually linked to
- 9:16Speaker 3: your body weight. I'll explain more. Coming up in just
- 9:19Speaker 3: a few minutes.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Congratulations to all the teachers who won five thousand dollars
- 9:24Speaker 2: to give their classroom a bit of a glow up

- 9:50Speaker 4: Coming up on Top Stories, Top of the Hour.
- 9:52Speaker 3: The President says the US Navy will begin a blockade
- 9:56Speaker 3: of the Straight of Horror Moves this morning. We've got
- 9:58Speaker 3: the latest on that story on the way with Toby
- 10:02Speaker 3: and Chile in the morning on ninety seven point one
- 10:05Speaker 3: wash FF.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Top Stories, Top of the Hour.
- 10:10Speaker 3: The President announced yesterday that the US Navy will begin
- 10:13Speaker 3: a blockade of the Strait of Horror Moves today after
- 10:15Speaker 3: peace talks with Iran collapsed. The move follows failed negotiations
- 10:20Speaker 3: over Iran's nuclear program and also rising tensions in the region.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Arlington County police asking for the public's help and finding
- 10:28Speaker 3: his sixteen year old Toby Obi Koya, who was last
- 10:31Speaker 3: seen Thursday afternoon near North Stafford Street. Authority say that
- 10:35Speaker 3: search efforts have recently focused on the Shurlington area well.
- 10:39Speaker 3: The President has reportedly proposed painting the historic Eisenhower Executive
- 10:44Speaker 3: Office building near the White House. Supporters say the specialized
- 10:48Speaker 3: white paint could improve durability and appearance, while critics warned
- 10:52Speaker 3: that it could actually risk damage to the one hundred
- 10:54Speaker 3: and forty year old structure's granite exterior. Fans packed Capital
- 10:59Speaker 3: On Arena yesterday, creating an emotional atmosphere for what may
- 11:03Speaker 3: have been Alex Ovechkin's final home gang with the Capitals.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Caps beat the Penguins three to nothing, and Ovi says
- 11:09Speaker 3: he'll decide this summer whether he's coming back for another year.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Speaking of sports, Rory McElroy secured his second straight Masters
- 11:18Speaker 3: Championship yesterday, becoming the first back to back winner since
- 11:22Speaker 3: Tiger Woods did it back in two thousand and one.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Two thousand and two, Britney Spears has reportedly checked into
- 11:28Speaker 3: rehab after she was urged by several people close to her.
- 11:32Speaker 3: She was arrested back last month in California for a
- 11:37Speaker 3: dui and according to a recent study, people who fast
- 11:41Speaker 3: longer overnight and eat an early breakfast tend to have
- 11:44Speaker 3: lower body weight, likely because it aligns with the body's
- 11:48Speaker 3: internal clock. Now. In contrast, skipping breakfast as part of
- 11:51Speaker 3: intermittent fasting didn't really show the same benefits. Forecasts today,
- 11:56Speaker 3: we've got partly cloudy skies, highs around eighty two right
- 11:59Speaker 3: now sixty two in Ashbourn.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Don't forget to tell five friends, did you get your
- 12:04Speaker 2: news with Toby and Chilly in the Morning? Top stories
- 12:06Speaker 2: at the top of the hour here on ninety seven
- 12:08Speaker 2: point one wasch FM and then we delve into the
- 12:10Speaker 2: news over the weekend the Masters, huge golf tournament, but
- 12:14Speaker 2: for people who might have been there, there were some
- 12:16Speaker 2: pretty barbaric rules and maybe if you were thinking about
- 12:19Speaker 2: going to the Masters next year, you're gonna have to
- 12:21Speaker 2: keep these rules in mind. So barbaric their word, not mine.
- 12:27Speaker 2: What are the barbaric rules? We'll we'll tell you and
- 12:30Speaker 2: we'll talk about them coming up in just a few moments.
- 12:32Speaker 2: And by the way, this does bring up a very
- 12:34Speaker 2: good question for you to think about. Have you ever
- 12:37Speaker 2: interrupted a quiet moment or an event? What went down?
- 12:42Speaker 2: Stay there, We're getting into this. Next is Toby and
- 12:44Speaker 2: Chilly in the Morning. Continue, got to get your take
- 12:47Speaker 2: on this story. Eight sixty six, nine two, seven forty
- 12:49Speaker 2: three sixty one Toby and Chile in the Morning. It's
- 12:52Speaker 2: ninety seven point one wastch FM. Over the weekend, the
- 12:55Speaker 2: Master is wrapped up down in Augusta, Georgia, and boy
- 12:59Speaker 2: the rules rules that they have for people who attended
- 13:03Speaker 2: the Masters, or who might be thinking about attending the Masters.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Some people are calling it barbaric.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Yeah, well, if they've got certain rules in place because
- 13:12Speaker 3: it is a very established tournament and they want a
- 13:17Speaker 3: strict dress code. They've got a bag policy, no outside
- 13:21Speaker 3: food or drinks. None of this seems too barbaric to
- 13:23Speaker 3: me as I'm looking through it. Anything stick out to you.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Music and yelling are prohibited. Well, obviously they don't want
- 13:31Speaker 2: anybody yelling anything after the shot.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Hey nice shot, No heckling.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think that I would last at the
- 13:38Speaker 2: Masters because I would not be able to keep my
- 13:40Speaker 2: mouth shut.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't have cell phones, can't be taking pictures
- 13:44Speaker 3: or video. None of those things were allowed. Well, Tiger
- 13:47Speaker 3: wasn't there, so you know, maybe people wouldn't be as
- 13:50Speaker 3: tempted to get some shots of him.
- 13:51Speaker 2: But I will talk it around. Is somebody chilli who
- 13:54Speaker 2: plays golf? You know, there is something to be said
- 13:56Speaker 2: about maintaining decorum and maintaining that silence. It's it's kind
- 14:00Speaker 2: of an unwritten role, you know. The these golfers have
- 14:03Speaker 2: to focus at the Masters. There is a lot of
- 14:05Speaker 2: money at stake and a lot of stuff up for grabs.
- 14:08Speaker 3: It's interesting that people who show up because you guys
- 14:11Speaker 3: can only see the area that you're standing in. You
- 14:15Speaker 3: don't get to watch that one player from beginning to end.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Like any other sport, you're out in the heat or
- 14:20Speaker 3: whatever the weather might be. And if I were to
- 14:23Speaker 3: ever go, I would be really paranoid because of course,
- 14:25Speaker 3: inevitably I'd have a coughing fit and everybody would be
- 14:28Speaker 3: looking at me like, lady, shut up.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Excuse me, ma'am. You're gonna have to come with us.
- 14:33Speaker 2: That coughing fit has distracted Rory McElroy and we're not
- 14:37Speaker 2: having that.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Yeah, because I couldn't bring any los engins in.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Because I can't, ma'am, I can't bring You're at the
- 14:42Speaker 2: Masters where Augusta. Perhaps you've heard of us our house
- 14:45Speaker 2: are man, there are times when sometimes you interrupt a
- 14:50Speaker 2: silent moment, so call us tell us about a time
- 14:53Speaker 2: when you did. If it's easier for you, the talkback
- 14:55Speaker 2: microphone is on if you're signed in listening on your
- 14:58Speaker 2: iHeart app. This morning, we're going to get to your
- 15:01Speaker 2: stories about interrupting these quiet moments. Coming up with Toby
- 15:04Speaker 2: and Chilly in the morning. The Master's wrapped up over
- 15:06Speaker 2: the weekend. Toby and Chilly in the morning at ninety
- 15:08Speaker 2: seven point one watch FM, and it came out during
- 15:13Speaker 2: the Masters that there are some pretty barbaric rules their words,
- 15:16Speaker 2: not ours, that fans of golf have to follow if
- 15:21Speaker 2: they're going to go and watch. Well.
- 15:23Speaker 3: I think strict rules is probably more accurate. I know
- 15:26Speaker 3: we were talking about how probably the most challenging thing
- 15:28Speaker 3: is to really stay very quiet is them golfers don't
- 15:31Speaker 3: want any noise out in the crowd. But there comes
- 15:35Speaker 3: a time in our lives where we may have ruined
- 15:38Speaker 3: a very quiet moment.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Yep eight sixty six ninet two seven forty three sixty
- 15:42Speaker 2: one is the number, if you want to call it.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Jump in Crystal in North Potomac. You know that part
- 15:46Speaker 2: of Gaithersburg they call North Potomac. You interrupted a quiet moment?
- 15:50Speaker 2: What happened?
- 15:50Speaker 5: I was getting my first massage, and I don't do anything.
- 15:54Speaker 4: With quietness or grief.
- 15:56Speaker 5: And I was supposed to get ready and ring the bell.
- 15:58Speaker 5: When I was laying on the bed and ready pree
- 16:01Speaker 5: quiet area. Everyone was relaxing getting their massages. And when
- 16:05Speaker 5: I hopped up on the bed and threw the sheet
- 16:06Speaker 5: to the side. I threw the bell across the room
- 16:08Speaker 5: and it knocked into the wall.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Well, that doesn't sound good.
- 16:12Speaker 5: It was very loud, and the girl who was supposed
- 16:14Speaker 5: to be doing the massage came to check on me.
- 16:16Speaker 3: And make sure I was okay.
- 16:17Speaker 2: I was.
- 16:18Speaker 3: I just threw the bell.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Well she had to come check on you because you
- 16:20Speaker 2: know what, if you would have fallen off the table,
- 16:22Speaker 2: that's not good for business at all. Yeah, chrystill, thank
- 16:25Speaker 2: you for checking in this morning. Now let's go talk
- 16:28Speaker 2: to Sandra. She's in dun Kirk. What did you do?

- 22:09Speaker 3: We're going to share a story we think will make
- 22:11Speaker 3: your Monday. A standing room only crowd gathered at a
- 22:14Speaker 3: library in Arlington for a very powerful unveiling that's giving
- 22:18Speaker 3: transgender youth a new way to share their voices and
- 22:21Speaker 3: be seen.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Don't go anywhere You're not gonna want to miss this.

- 22:37Speaker 2: think might just make your Monday. Let's go back to
- 22:41Speaker 2: Wednesday night last week the auditorium in Arlington Central Library.
- 22:46Speaker 2: It was packed, standing room only people. They showed up
- 22:51Speaker 2: for the unveiling of something very very personal of the community.
- 22:54Speaker 3: It was a ten foot wide quill that was slowly revealed,
- 22:58Speaker 3: and each of the eighty eight squares told a different story.
- 23:01Speaker 3: More than half were created by transgender and non binary youth,
- 23:06Speaker 3: while the surrounding panels were stitched by parents and allies,
- 23:10Speaker 3: rapping those young voices in visible.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Support Equity Arlington led the project. It had been in
- 23:16Speaker 2: the works for about six months. The idea simple but powerful,
- 23:22Speaker 2: create a way for trans and non binary kids to
- 23:26Speaker 2: express themselves freely without having to step into the spotlight.
- 23:30Speaker 2: And as the crowd settled in, there was a short
- 23:32Speaker 2: film that played and it showed the quilt coming together
- 23:36Speaker 2: piece by piece.
- 23:37Speaker 3: And for a lot of people in the room, the
- 23:39Speaker 3: quilt felt like a statement of visibility and also protection
- 23:42Speaker 3: at a time when some feel that those communities are
- 23:45Speaker 3: being pushed to the margins. Soon, the quilt will remain
- 23:48Speaker 3: at the library permanently, which is going to be a
- 23:50Speaker 3: lasting reminder of the voices it represents and the community
- 23:53Speaker 3: that's committed to making sure that those voices are seen
- 23:56Speaker 3: and heard.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Putting together that quilt, literally peace by piece, stick it
- 24:00Speaker 2: together with love is a story which really does make
- 24:04Speaker 2: our Monday. And if you want to read more, feel

- 29:06Speaker 2: I'm just trying to figure out what kind of common

- 29:13Speaker 3: Thankfully, as far as I could tell, it didn't blow off,
