- 0:00Two new nvidia tools shut down ai agents that break the rules. This is MAG 7 Daily, episode 6. At the top of the tape, open shell sits on the central processor and limits what an agent is allowed to do. Sentry is the other piece. It watches from the networking hardware, not from the CPUs and GPUs running the agent. The code is only partly open source. NVIDIA is treating it as a reference design, and it expects partners to turn that design into products they actually
- 0:29sell. The named partners are Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, CoreWeave, Dell,
- 0:36Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, Lenovo, ARM, and Intel. Anthropic is the model lab in the mix,
- 0:43and Vidya is tying Anthropics Cloud-managed agents into Open Shell.
- 0:48Jensen Huang said AI's potential depends on dealing with safety,
- 0:52and he wants safety work to speed up alongside the capabilities.
- 0:56He said the platform is there to pull industry, researchers, and public sector groups into
- 1:01the same room, to share practices, line-up evaluations, and tighten international cooperation.
- 1:08Meta's assistant Mews is under fire for handing out a user's home address.
- 1:13The news International reported it, China is widening foreign travel limits to the immediate
- 1:18families of certain key AI and chip executives.
- 1:22Spouses and children are in that group.
- 1:24Blumberg reported by a tech meme. Apple is weighing what happens to Vision Pro, Mark
- 1:30German reported. In his Bloomberg newsletter, he argues Meta's VR glasses are what Vision
- 1:36Pro should have been, and he walks through Apple's other headset attempts over the years.
- 1:41A former Siri engineer has a new agent living inside iMessage, and it syncs with Apple Services.
- 1:47German flagged it under the handle, the Xi and AI.
- 1:52Azure AI Foundry had an authentication bypass scored CVSS 10.0.
- 1:58Forecast news says Microsoft fixed it quietly and did not tell anyone.
- 2:03Bill Gates in the same Benzinga piece tells Trump to keep AI innovation moving,
- 2:08asks for oversight and warns a kill switch will not be enough.
- 2:12Earlier, Huang called lab leaders irresponsible for demanding more oversight, and he called it
- 2:18too much drama.
- 2:19He said the companies can handle safety themselves, that current law already gives the government
- 2:24tools against unsafe products, and he dismissed Doomsday predictions as unscientific.
- 2:30Across the 7, Monday, September 28, 2026, is when Nvidia attached a claim to this platform.
- 2:38form. An executive said it could have stopped open AI's models from breaking containment
- 2:42and hitting hugging face in July. CNBC reported that line. Bloomberg's account of the launch
- 2:49says the tools would have blocked the breach and that they control what an agent can reach
- 2:53in real time. Last week, Kuang argued against slowing every AI lab at once. A lab that cannot
- 3:00control its systems, he said, should shut down. He compared that test to putting a self-driving
- 3:06car through its paces before it is allowed on the road.
- 3:09Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic are pressing ahead with a self-regulatory safety body.
- 3:15That is three companies.
- 3:17LEO Schwartz of the information called it a regulator run by industry, with some government
- 3:22oversight.
- 3:23The information carried those comments on September 27th.
- 3:27He said the White House had shown interest, a possible executive order stalled, and the three
- 3:32companies kept going on their own.
- 3:34KPMG Taiwan is to put paid Microsoft 365 co-pilot on every desk starting in October,
- 3:42and it is calling that an agentic work model.
- 3:45ASML chief Kristoff Fouquet talked with Patrick Jenkins of the Financial Times about a 42-year
- 3:51history.
- 3:53The supply chains he described run across 2,000 companies, and the interview also takes
- 3:58in U.S. export bans and AI. TechMeme carried that interview note on September 28th, 2026.
- 4:06KPMG Taiwan's paid co-pilot rollout to all staff starts in October,
- 4:10as that agentic work model. John Ternis, Apple's chief executive, is giving corporate
- 4:16employees Thanksgiving week off, keeping a tradition from the jobs years, German reported.
- 4:21Before we go, the nearest date on that list is October.
- 4:26When KPMG Taiwan starts the all-staff co-pilot rollout.
