- 0:00Speaker 1: Hi, Catherine. Hi, Chelsea.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Hi, he just had beautiful three days of skiing love Doug.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Doug is in doggy daycare.
- 0:09Speaker 2: My friend told me about this dog walker and she's like, oh, yeah,
- 0:13Speaker 2: she's great. I send my dog once a week. And
- 0:15Speaker 2: so the dog walker came over to my house and I'm.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Like, how many days are possible? She's like, we do
- 0:21Speaker 1: it seven days a week.
- 0:22Speaker 2: I'm like, I'll take five. He needs a lot of
- 0:25Speaker 2: fucking exercise, this dog. And he is such a moose.
- 0:27Speaker 2: He's like my sister said, it's a cross.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Between a gorilla and I. I was a lion.
- 0:33Speaker 3: I've got a lions, like a full lions man.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I know, he's so funny looking. Oh my god. So
- 0:39Speaker 1: now I'm training him. I am training him.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I have a parenting coach, I have a dog walker,
- 0:44Speaker 2: and I'm also taking parenting classes with my friend for
- 0:48Speaker 2: her kids.
- 0:48Speaker 1: It takes a village, Chelsea. So I am literally deep in.
- 0:52Speaker 2: I don't know what has happened in my life, but
- 0:55Speaker 2: I'm learning a lot and a lot of really good
- 0:57Speaker 2: stuff about parenting in case I ever have to parent
- 1:00Speaker 2: a vagabond, which apparently I do.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, the thing is a tired dog is
- 1:05Speaker 3: a good dog, so getting him in playdates and everything,
- 1:07Speaker 3: that's perfect.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, he's very friendly.
- 1:11Speaker 2: She said, he's very She sent me a text to
- 1:12Speaker 2: dog Walker and she said he is one of the
- 1:14Speaker 2: most compassionate, compassionate, caring dogs I've ever met. And I'm like,
- 1:19Speaker 2: what a funny thing to say about a dog compassionate?
- 1:23Speaker 2: How did he just demonstrate that compassion.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Whose soul is in him? He must be an old
- 1:28Speaker 1: time I don't know. Maybe it's my mom. She's got No,
- 1:31Speaker 1: it's definitely not my mom. She wouldn't be like that.
- 1:33Speaker 2: But anyway, it's pretty cute and Bertice is really perking up.
- 1:36Speaker 2: She tries to play with him and then she like
- 1:38Speaker 2: barks at him, and it's pretty cute.
- 1:40Speaker 1: They have a nice relationship and it'll keep changing too.
- 1:43Speaker 3: It's like they say, like the first three days the
- 1:45Speaker 3: dog is like adjusting. The first three weeks, they're like
- 1:48Speaker 3: getting to know whoever else is in the house. In
- 1:50Speaker 3: the first three months, like after three months they're sort
- 1:52Speaker 3: of like in the home. And you know, even today,
- 1:55Speaker 3: like Mimsy and Wendell are like snuggling and they just
- 1:59Speaker 3: started doing that.
- 2:00Speaker 1: This week and it's just lovely. That is cute.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah, so yeah, I had a full house this weekend
- 2:05Speaker 2: in Whistler. I had about nine people sleeping out my house,
- 2:08Speaker 2: and my house doesn't really fit nine people, so it
- 2:10Speaker 2: was close quarters and fun and a lot of my
- 2:13Speaker 2: friends I have just kid It's like a daycare here.
- 2:15Speaker 2: There's just kids running through my house all the time.
- 2:18Speaker 2: It's so funny.
- 2:21Speaker 1: But you love a.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Teenager, and you know what, teenagers I think love you too,
- 2:24Speaker 3: because you're not afraid to talk about this stuff like
- 2:26Speaker 3: their parents won't talk about with them anyway.
- 2:30Speaker 2: So I have shows this weekend, That's what I'm doing.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I have a show tonight in Saskatoon, so I'm heading
- 2:36Speaker 2: out soon. And then I have a show tomorrow night
- 2:38Speaker 2: in Winnipeg, Canada. And then we added another Sydney show,
- 2:43Speaker 2: we added another Vancouver show Awesome, and we're adding a
- 2:47Speaker 2: bunch of shows.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Well, Los Angeles has floated away over the last several days.
- 2:53Speaker 1: That's what's happening over here. Was it really bad?
- 2:56Speaker 3: The river at the La River is like a monster.
- 2:59Speaker 3: It's crazy, and apparently a lot of parts in the
- 3:01Speaker 3: valley are totally flooded.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Oh god, I don't know it. It would rain for
- 3:05Speaker 2: a week last week, so there was no skiing here.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Now it's sunny, but it's like an ad for climate change.
- 3:10Speaker 2: The mountain it's so bear and you're like, I mean,
- 3:13Speaker 2: you can ski, but it's like it's not what it's
- 3:14Speaker 2: supposed to be.
- 3:15Speaker 1: So yeah, it's a bummer. Anyway.
- 3:18Speaker 2: We have a very funny guest on the show today.
- 3:20Speaker 2: She's a comedian. She's a hot mess. I met her
- 3:24Speaker 2: on Instagram as I meet all my young lovers, and
- 3:28Speaker 2: you should follow her because she does a really good
- 3:29Speaker 2: impersonation of Chris Jenner. That's how I first found her.
- 3:33Speaker 2: But she does a lot of impersonations. Her name is
- 3:35Speaker 2: Anna Roysman. Hi, Anna, Hi, Where are you Anna?
- 3:39Speaker 4: I'm in New York.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Oh is this where you hail from New York?
- 3:43Speaker 5: I hail from Philadelphia, but yeah, I'm in New York mostly.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Right now, Catherine, I don't know if you're familiar with
- 3:49Speaker 2: Anna and in the way that I am, but I
- 3:51Speaker 2: found her. I discovered her because she does these ridiculous
- 3:54Speaker 2: impersonations of the Kardashians. Ye, well, of Chris Well, Chris
- 3:59Speaker 2: really Jenna, right, is the one that from the Kardashians
- 4:02Speaker 2: do you do all of them or do you just Chris.
- 4:04Speaker 5: I just do Chris. I could probably do the other ones.
- 4:06Speaker 2: But yeah, well you do a lot of you do
- 4:08Speaker 2: Steve from Sex and the City do a lot of
- 4:10Speaker 2: other impersonations too. But what caught my eye was the
- 4:14Speaker 2: Chris jenneral one because I forwarded it to Chris Jenner.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I was like, have you seen this fucking girl? You
- 4:18Speaker 1: look like an asshole?
- 4:19Speaker 4: I died.
- 4:20Speaker 5: I know, I flew across the country as her, which
- 4:23Speaker 5: was psychotic.
- 4:24Speaker 2: That's really really funny. But you do a great impersonation.
- 4:27Speaker 2: And I like any impersonations of all the because there's
- 4:30Speaker 2: so many TikTok Instagram impersonations of all the Kardashians and
- 4:33Speaker 2: some are obviously cream of the crop.
- 4:35Speaker 1: So kudos to you, Anna, And I know you're a comedian.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I saw you at my one of my shows at
- 4:40Speaker 1: the Beacond.
- 4:40Speaker 4: We met there, yes, which was so fun. I was
- 4:43Speaker 4: a killer show.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Ah, thank you.
- 4:45Speaker 2: So you're a comic and I'm just learning about you
- 4:47Speaker 2: and I want to learn more about you.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 4:50Speaker 5: First of all, I'm so honored to be on here,
- 4:52Speaker 5: and I just have to say when you shared that
- 4:54Speaker 5: Chris Jenner video.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Last year, I.
- 4:56Speaker 5: Was in like my darkest time ever and I literally
- 4:59Speaker 5: said to my Boyfri and I'm gonna I'm gonna just
- 5:01Speaker 5: i wanna go to the airport as Chris.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Like she would never fly a commercial. This will be
- 5:04Speaker 4: so funny.
- 5:05Speaker 5: And then I obviously thought I'd do it for like
- 5:07Speaker 5: twenty minutes, and I stayed in it the whole flight.
- 5:09Speaker 5: And then you shared it and I was like it
- 5:10Speaker 5: was worth it.
- 5:11Speaker 4: He wanted to kill me. We're like on the plane
- 5:13Speaker 4: and I'm wigged and I'm like, excuse me, I have to.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Go to the bathroom. Like I'm like walking down the aisles.
- 5:18Speaker 5: And when you shared it, I was like I cried.
- 5:20Speaker 5: I was just like, oh my god. So many people
- 5:22Speaker 5: were so nice to me. They were like, I don't
- 5:23Speaker 5: know you did this, blah blah blah.
- 5:25Speaker 4: So thank you. You really picked me up at a
- 5:27Speaker 4: bad time.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Oh well, I'm happy to listen. Every time we're in
- 5:30Speaker 2: a dark place. This has happened to me so many
- 5:32Speaker 2: times in my life. A stranger literally will come out
- 5:35Speaker 2: of the fucking sky and tell you how much you
- 5:37Speaker 2: mean to them, or do something that lifts you up.
- 5:40Speaker 2: That is like the way the world works like the
- 5:42Speaker 2: universe has your back. Like just when you think you're
- 5:45Speaker 2: not you don't have it anymore, someone will say you
- 5:47Speaker 2: changed my life, or you did this or did do that.
- 5:49Speaker 2: So you always have to pay attention to those things.
- 5:51Speaker 2: That's something I used to think was corny, and now
- 5:53Speaker 2: as an older woman in the midst in the mid
- 5:56Speaker 2: sunset of my life, I love all the signs that
- 6:00Speaker 2: you get that are reminders of like you're on the
- 6:03Speaker 2: right track. Everything is only temporary. When you're going through
- 6:06Speaker 2: a bad phase. That's only a bad phase. It doesn't
- 6:08Speaker 2: have to be permanent, and it won't be permanent whether
- 6:10Speaker 2: you want.
- 6:10Speaker 1: It to be or not.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so true.
- 6:12Speaker 5: Do you like when people come up to you out
- 6:14Speaker 5: of the blue and they're like, you know, when you're
- 6:16Speaker 5: out to dinner or something and they stop you.
- 6:18Speaker 1: I mean, I don't mind.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I don't really care as long as people don't ask
- 6:21Speaker 2: me to get up when I'm like seated at a
- 6:23Speaker 2: dinner table like I once had a guy, like I've
- 6:25Speaker 2: had many guys do this, go come over here. It's
- 6:28Speaker 2: like like I'm a prostitute or something. I mean, that's
- 6:31Speaker 2: not even okay for a prostitute.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Really.
- 6:32Speaker 2: It's it's like, why would I get up for my
- 6:34Speaker 2: dinner with my fucking family when I'm spending to go
- 6:38Speaker 2: take a.
- 6:38Speaker 1: What do you think I work for you? It's just
- 6:40Speaker 1: so stupid.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:42Speaker 1: The other thing is when people try to take pictures
- 6:44Speaker 1: in bathrooms.
- 6:44Speaker 2: I try to deter people from that behavior, but I
- 6:46Speaker 2: do find that it's always.
- 6:48Speaker 1: A nice message.
- 6:49Speaker 2: When you're feeling down or something bummed you out, or
- 6:52Speaker 2: you heard something you didn't like about yourself, there's always
- 6:54Speaker 2: a reinforcement right around the corner to validate you and
- 6:57Speaker 2: tell you like you are loved. That is happening all
- 7:00Speaker 2: the time in my life right now, so I'm very
- 7:03Speaker 2: attuned to it. So I would advise you to pay
- 7:06Speaker 2: attention to those things too.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:08Speaker 5: I had a guy who once messaged me on Instagram
- 7:10Speaker 5: after I'd be like, I just saw you walking around
- 7:12Speaker 5: New York and I didn't say hi because you were
- 7:14Speaker 5: much shorter than I thought you'd be.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I was like, Okay, one of the dumbest things people
- 7:20Speaker 2: say to you, you're so small everyone, You're so small
- 7:23Speaker 2: in person.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm sorry that that thank you.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I think I think thank you, or you're so much prettier.
- 7:29Speaker 2: You're so much prettier in person.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I love that one. And you're like, Akay, how.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Big and ugly was I online for you? On a screen?
- 7:37Speaker 1: For you?
- 7:37Speaker 7: I know? I know?
- 7:39Speaker 1: So what's your story? Anna? Tell me?
- 7:41Speaker 2: Like how you got into comedy and like what you
- 7:43Speaker 2: want to do and where you're headed?
- 7:46Speaker 4: I mean, how I got into comedy. It's funny.
- 7:48Speaker 5: I grew up thinking i'd be a very serious Broadway actress, like.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Will you look like you could be a veterinarian a doctor?
- 7:55Speaker 2: Like you look like a more serious person than you are.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 7:59Speaker 5: It's the glasses, you know, and they gave me a complex.
- 8:02Speaker 5: When I first started auditioning, my agents literally would say like, hey,
- 8:06Speaker 5: so this one they actually want someone funny, so make
- 8:08Speaker 5: sure you wear your glasses.
- 8:09Speaker 4: And I was like the Tina fe effect, like what
- 8:12Speaker 4: I was like.
- 8:13Speaker 5: And then they'd be like, actually, they're looking for a
- 8:14Speaker 5: pretty girl, so if you could just wear contacts for
- 8:17Speaker 5: this audition, And.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Then I'd be like, who am I?
- 8:22Speaker 5: They do that much to your face? No, I thought
- 8:25Speaker 5: i'd be a Broadway actress. I moved to New York
- 8:26Speaker 5: City and I was like, they're waiting for me. I
- 8:29Speaker 5: am I am a singer.
- 8:31Speaker 4: I am here. I think the first sign should have
- 8:33Speaker 4: been I didn't go to college for musical theaters, so,
- 8:35Speaker 4: like you know, I.
- 8:36Speaker 5: Went for TV production and I wrote a lot and
- 8:39Speaker 5: I did theater, but I didn't like study it. My
- 8:41Speaker 5: parents were like, wait, why do you have to go
- 8:43Speaker 5: to the college, just saying we don't need that's that's
- 8:45Speaker 5: not a real degree.
- 8:47Speaker 4: And then I meant.
- 8:47Speaker 5: I went to New York and everyone was like trained,
- 8:49Speaker 5: and I was like, oh shit, I'm not.
- 8:51Speaker 4: I'm not one of these.
- 8:52Speaker 5: Like no one else wore like a leather jacket and
- 8:54Speaker 5: sneakers to this audition.
- 8:56Speaker 4: They're all in like character shoes and like dresses. And
- 8:58Speaker 4: I felt so out of place. And I started taking
- 9:00Speaker 4: classes at UCB, and I like met some cool.
- 9:02Speaker 5: People and I was like, oh, these are like more
- 9:05Speaker 5: people like me, you know, a room full of people
- 9:08Speaker 5: who start in their high school theater and then.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Moved to New York thinking they'd be a star, and
- 9:12Speaker 4: they're in an improv class.
- 9:14Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 9:14Speaker 2: It's funny how so many of us think like wait
- 9:17Speaker 2: till I get like. That's how I felt when I
- 9:19Speaker 2: moved to LA when I was nineteen I was like,
- 9:20Speaker 2: wait till they see me.
- 9:22Speaker 8: I was like, wait until everybody gets alone to this.
- 9:26Speaker 8: I know, like so delusional, but also you know, kind
- 9:30Speaker 8: of not. It's kind of nice to think that highly
- 9:32Speaker 8: of yourself.
- 9:33Speaker 4: You need to be delusional to do something like that.
- 9:36Speaker 2: To move to one of us exactly, you have to
- 9:39Speaker 2: be like, I'm not gonna be the biggest star.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Whatever the fuck you think you're doing.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I mean, my goalposts are always like moving based on
- 9:46Speaker 2: what I'm doing, because I really have no long term plan.
- 9:47Speaker 2: I'm always just very in the moment, like, oh, what
- 9:50Speaker 2: looks like fun this year?
- 9:51Speaker 1: But I like that. I like that Hubris?
- 9:54Speaker 4: Yeah right?
- 9:54Speaker 2: And how are you finding Like let's talk about the
- 9:56Speaker 2: industry and like being a woman and being a comedian
- 10:00Speaker 2: and having all of these things, like how have you
- 10:02Speaker 2: found your way in?
- 10:03Speaker 1: How old are you? I'm old?
- 10:05Speaker 4: I'm thirty seven.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Okay, well I'm forty eight, So why don't you shill
- 10:10Speaker 2: that fuck up?
- 10:11Speaker 7: Wait?
- 10:12Speaker 5: I listened to ze Way's episode and I was like,
- 10:13Speaker 5: should I just say nineteen?
- 10:15Speaker 4: Like she's gonna ask me, should I just say it?
- 10:17Speaker 1: I never said what about ze Way? What a bitch?
- 10:19Speaker 1: See Way?
- 10:19Speaker 2: I was like Seaway, You're a fucking asshole. She lied
- 10:21Speaker 2: to me about her age a hook line and sinker.
- 10:24Speaker 2: By the way, I fucking fell for it.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I was like, I usually know bullshit, but I was like,
- 10:28Speaker 1: I don't know. And I was sober that day.
- 10:29Speaker 2: I wasn't even Stone Catherine, So what's It's almost like
- 10:32Speaker 2: when I'm sober, I'm at a disadvantage, you know what
- 10:35Speaker 2: I mean, Like for me to level up, I've got
- 10:37Speaker 2: to either have an edible or a cocktail.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I love it, but yeah, ze Way.
- 10:42Speaker 2: For everyone listening, she was our guest and she said
- 10:45Speaker 2: she was nineteen, and I believed her, and then we
- 10:47Speaker 2: share the same manager. So afterward I was like, I
- 10:50Speaker 2: can't believe zee Way's nineteen, and she's like she's not.
- 10:52Speaker 1: You idiot. Of all the people she could have lied to,
- 10:55Speaker 1: you took it.
- 10:56Speaker 3: I was like, Oh, she would have gotten her showtime
- 10:59Speaker 3: show at like six, started writing at like thirteen.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, Well, kudos to her forgetting, for being believable.
- 11:07Speaker 1: You know, you gotta give credit get beautiful.
- 11:09Speaker 5: I did think i'd be that successful by nineteen, you know.
- 11:12Speaker 5: I was like, there's no way I'm going to be
- 11:14Speaker 5: an adult and I'm.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Not like rich yet.
- 11:16Speaker 2: And here I remember I remember having this age line,
- 11:19Speaker 2: and I remember I used to look at how old
- 11:21Speaker 2: Jennifer Aniston was when she got friends because that was
- 11:24Speaker 2: my age threshold, like and she was thirty two, I believe.
- 11:28Speaker 1: So I remember going like, okay, I haven't until thirty two.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Because I waited tables for like seven or eight years,
- 11:33Speaker 2: and I was very I was good at it, but
- 11:35Speaker 2: I was, you know, a big bitch, so a lot
- 11:37Speaker 2: of people, you know, there was a lot of arguments
- 11:38Speaker 2: and confrontations.
- 11:41Speaker 4: I was the worst server too. I did it for
- 11:43Speaker 4: seven years.
- 11:44Speaker 2: I was fine with the service and like being effective
- 11:47Speaker 2: and like quick and I could remember everything.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I just didn't want the human interaction, like the people
- 11:52Speaker 1: were like.
- 11:53Speaker 2: I was just like, don't talk to me, you know
- 11:54Speaker 2: what I mean, Like I'm gonna get your food, like,
- 11:56Speaker 2: let's not get it twisted.
- 11:57Speaker 5: I would lie to the tables and they'd order a
- 11:59Speaker 5: certain wine and if it wasn't a twist off, I'd
- 12:01Speaker 5: be like.
- 12:01Speaker 4: Oh, I think we're like out of it.
- 12:03Speaker 5: I actually I recommend this one. They'd be like, you're
- 12:06Speaker 5: supposed to upsell. I'm like, I just want to do
- 12:08Speaker 5: the ones that twist off.
- 12:09Speaker 4: I really hate opening wine at the table.
- 12:12Speaker 2: I did the same thing at Chaia Brasserie in Venice, California.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I couldn't open bottles of wine like I just would
- 12:18Speaker 2: suck it up. So I told the staff at Chaia
- 12:21Speaker 2: Venice that I was allergic to grapes, so that I
- 12:23Speaker 2: wasn't allowed to serve fie. There is no grape allergy, like,
- 12:27Speaker 2: no one has it. But I didn't know that, and
- 12:29Speaker 2: neither does anybody else. Oh my god, see Way probably
- 12:32Speaker 2: has it a grape allergy.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Actually she definitely does. Yeah, that's so funny.
- 12:37Speaker 2: It's like, I'm not going to bring a tray with
- 12:39Speaker 2: a bottle and a bunch of glasses over and not
- 12:41Speaker 2: fuck that up.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I'm not domesticated.
- 12:43Speaker 5: No, And I also would never pick up more than
- 12:45Speaker 5: one plate at a time.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Yeah, when you come over a but take one plate
- 12:49Speaker 2: and then come back five minutes later. So what has
- 12:51Speaker 2: your experience back to that question, what has been your
- 12:54Speaker 2: experience navigating this industry because it's a totally different medium
- 12:57Speaker 2: than when I came up, Because you know, you're very
- 12:59Speaker 2: well known from your social stuff, and it's different now,
- 13:03Speaker 2: like it's not like you get fame necessarily for being
- 13:06Speaker 2: on television.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Yeah, it's crazy. I started to feel that, like the
- 13:10Speaker 4: video bug.
- 13:11Speaker 5: I feel like a long time ago when I first
- 13:13Speaker 5: started doing stand up, which was like ten years ago,
- 13:15Speaker 5: I guess, and I would do.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Shows and then there would be some shitty shows where.
- 13:19Speaker 5: I'm like, oh, they give me like six minutes all
- 13:21Speaker 5: these fucking gross guys who have nothing nice do. They
- 13:24Speaker 5: don't even like bring you up on stage properly. And
- 13:26Speaker 5: I was like, or I could make a video and
- 13:28Speaker 5: it could go viral on YouTube and that would be
- 13:30Speaker 5: so funny and hundreds of thousands of people would see
- 13:32Speaker 5: it instead of the twenty people at this comedy club
- 13:35Speaker 5: in New York.
- 13:36Speaker 1: So, I don't know.
- 13:37Speaker 5: I started doing that like a while ago, and I
- 13:41Speaker 5: loved it.
- 13:42Speaker 4: And then I guess I hosted a game show. I
- 13:44Speaker 4: don't if you know this. I hosted a game show
- 13:45Speaker 4: for three years that like changed my life.
- 13:47Speaker 1: No, what's it called.
- 13:49Speaker 5: It was called HQ Trivia. It was like on your
- 13:51Speaker 5: phone and it was super popular. It was like twice
- 13:53Speaker 5: a day it was live. Millions of people would tune in.
- 13:56Speaker 5: We had like celebrities host like The Rock hosted, like
- 14:00Speaker 5: it was. It was crazy and it was like four
- 14:03Speaker 5: or five hundred thousand people a night playing this game
- 14:06Speaker 5: that I would host, and it just ended.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Like a year and a half ago.
- 14:09Speaker 5: I came back in the Pandemic, but that was on
- 14:12Speaker 5: an app and so like I was like posting every
- 14:14Speaker 5: night about that, and then in the Pandemic, I just
- 14:17Speaker 5: I accidentally did an impression and that went viral. It
- 14:21Speaker 5: was an accident. I didn't plan it at all and
- 14:23Speaker 5: it went kind of viral. And then the La Times
- 14:25Speaker 5: called me a TikToker and I was like, oh my.
- 14:27Speaker 1: God, so much pressure. You're like tktok.
- 14:31Speaker 5: I know I didn't even I don't even know if
- 14:32Speaker 5: I had to, I might have had like done a
- 14:34Speaker 5: couple things on TikTok, but nothing major. And I was like, wow,
- 14:37Speaker 5: I guess they didn't do their research. I'm just a
- 14:38Speaker 5: TikToker to the La Times.
- 14:40Speaker 4: Now that's cool. And I just I leaned in, you know, I.
- 14:44Speaker 5: Started making more videos daily like a crazy person. You
- 14:48Speaker 5: know the fact that my boyfriend hasn't left yet and
- 14:50Speaker 5: he's filmed a lot of my videos is a blessing.
- 14:53Speaker 1: What's the story with your boyfriend? How long have you
- 14:55Speaker 1: guys been together.
- 14:56Speaker 4: We've been together almost eight years.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Which oh, oh it was too long.
- 15:01Speaker 4: That's so long.
- 15:03Speaker 5: People gave up after your three or four They're like,
- 15:05Speaker 5: why aren't you getting married yet?
- 15:07Speaker 4: Now they don't even that's not even a question.
- 15:09Speaker 1: You know you're not getting Are you not into the marriage?
- 15:11Speaker 4: I never cared. I was never obsessed with marriage. I
- 15:13Speaker 4: never wanted kids. My mom is like, she's your hero,
- 15:16Speaker 4: Chelsea's your hero, because.
- 15:17Speaker 5: Like I have nieces now, and I'm like, they think
- 15:19Speaker 5: I'm the coolest person in the world, and I love
- 15:21Speaker 5: that role.
- 15:22Speaker 4: And I'm like, I never wanted my own kids, you know.
- 15:25Speaker 5: I love being like, Okay, good night, bye, now your
- 15:28Speaker 5: parents deal. Yeah, So my boyfriend and I and that
- 15:31Speaker 5: was something I told him straight up. I wasn't looking
- 15:34Speaker 5: for a boyfriend. I had gotten out of a breakup
- 15:35Speaker 5: and it was like a couple of years of me
- 15:37Speaker 5: just I was like the forty year old virgin again.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Like it was so fun being single.
- 15:42Speaker 5: Because I was with someone for eight years from like
- 15:45Speaker 5: college to twenty seven.
- 15:46Speaker 1: So you're you're you're you like long term relationships, I guess. Yeah,
- 15:52Speaker 1: it's nice though.
- 15:53Speaker 2: It's refreshing to hear that, like, you know, so many
- 15:55Speaker 2: young girls are like girls that are younger than me,
- 15:58Speaker 2: that are being honest about out what they want with
- 16:01Speaker 2: marriage and children, and like actually identifying it is such
- 16:04Speaker 2: an empowering and powerful thing to know and recognizing yourself
- 16:09Speaker 2: what you want, because I think that's such an issue
- 16:12Speaker 2: for so long. I think women for so long were
- 16:14Speaker 2: held so back, you know, and like housewives and da
- 16:17Speaker 2: da da, that you're like, you don't even think you
- 16:19Speaker 2: have a choice.
- 16:20Speaker 1: You just do what you're supposed to do.
- 16:22Speaker 2: So now to see all these women like, no, I'm
- 16:24Speaker 2: not getting married, I'm not having children.
- 16:26Speaker 1: That's not for me.
- 16:27Speaker 2: It's very like it's just a sign of like the
- 16:30Speaker 2: times that we live in, and there's it feels like
- 16:32Speaker 2: there's like some sort of female awakening that's been at
- 16:35Speaker 2: play for the last you know, fifty years, and we're
- 16:38Speaker 2: cruising into this really sweet spot, especially abudding up against
- 16:42Speaker 2: Roe v Wade being overturned and the way men are
- 16:45Speaker 2: and you know how stupid most of them can act
- 16:48Speaker 2: at times, and embarrassing it is as a society that
- 16:52Speaker 2: men get away with such nonsense behavior and we're we're like,
- 16:56Speaker 2: we're over here, we've had our shit together. This whole time,
- 16:58Speaker 2: and nobody has been giving us the wheel to drive.
- 17:02Speaker 2: So I'm true, Yeah, that's really refreshing. How do you
- 17:05Speaker 2: feel about children the same way you feel about getting married?
- 17:08Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 17:08Speaker 5: I never wanted kids. I love kids, kids like me,
- 17:10Speaker 5: but I never wanted to have kids of mine.
- 17:12Speaker 1: You say, I mean, do you have proof if that
- 17:14Speaker 1: children like you?
- 17:16Speaker 4: Yes?
- 17:17Speaker 5: Because I always have candy on me, and my sister's
- 17:19Speaker 5: three year old thinks I'm like the fucking.
- 17:21Speaker 1: God, like you know, or a child molester.
- 17:25Speaker 4: I know it's a candy on me. Watch out.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I actually speaking of child molesting. I got a ride
- 17:31Speaker 2: home from a child last night. I was flew in
- 17:34Speaker 2: from I. So I flew in from LA to Whistler.
- 17:38Speaker 2: I'm back in my I have a little ski a
- 17:40Speaker 2: situation of whistle that I'm obsessed with skiing. So I
- 17:44Speaker 2: came back yesterday and I stopped at my friend's house,
- 17:46Speaker 2: which is like forty minutes away, and she had dinner
- 17:48Speaker 2: and friends over and then everyone kind of fell asleep.
- 17:51Speaker 1: But I'm like, well, I don't want to sleep here,
- 17:53Speaker 1: like I just got home. I want to go to
- 17:55Speaker 1: in my bed. And this like nineteen year old kid was.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Like I'll drive you to Slirt's like forty minutes and
- 18:01Speaker 2: I was like, are you are you?
- 18:03Speaker 1: Do you have a license? I was like, how old
- 18:05Speaker 1: are you? Can you drive in the snow? He's like
- 18:08Speaker 1: I'm nineteen and I was like okay.
- 18:11Speaker 2: And then I like, you know, observed him for a
- 18:13Speaker 2: good forty five seconds and thought, yeah, actually this is
- 18:16Speaker 2: the guy I want to drive me home.
- 18:18Speaker 4: You were like, let me set you up in Z
- 18:19Speaker 4: way I know another nineteen year old.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Said, I only hang out with nineteen year olds these days,
- 18:23Speaker 2: so I want to introduce you to someone.
- 18:26Speaker 1: But yeah, he drove me home and it was really cute.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I had my dog, Bernice because my friend was dog
- 18:30Speaker 2: sitting and he drove me home and it's like a
- 18:32Speaker 2: forty minute drive, and uh yeah, it was really funny.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I was like, he's like, I could give you ride
- 18:36Speaker 2: anytime you need one.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Chelse Ll.
- 18:40Speaker 4: You have a new driver, and I know I have
- 18:43Speaker 4: a new.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Nineteen year old driver. That's something I would totally do well.
- 18:46Speaker 3: And he's not legal drinking age, so it's definitely likely
- 18:48Speaker 3: to be over.
- 18:49Speaker 1: He doesn't drink at all. We talked about lots of
- 18:51Speaker 1: drugs and alcohol on the way.
- 18:52Speaker 7: Home.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, he doesn't. A lot of kids don't drink.
- 18:54Speaker 8: Now.
- 18:55Speaker 1: It's weird. Yeah, it's funny. They're all straight edge.
- 18:57Speaker 2: They're not into it because I think alcohol is, like,
- 19:00Speaker 2: you know, it's seen its finest hour.
- 19:03Speaker 1: There's so many other.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Avenues to explore with mushrooms and microdosing, and I think
- 19:07Speaker 2: people are more on that train.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Yes, kids these days think that alcohol is boomer technology
- 19:12Speaker 3: is what they call it.
- 19:13Speaker 1: And I think that's oh, just great. I think am
- 19:15Speaker 1: I a boomer?
- 19:16Speaker 2: I'm the opposite of a boomer, but I am a
- 19:18Speaker 2: boomer probably. No, I think I'm younger than a boomer.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Yeah. By the way, Catherine, I like that merch hat
- 19:22Speaker 1: that dear Chelsea hat. I needed a black hat today,
- 19:25Speaker 1: and here we are.
- 19:25Speaker 4: That's so cute.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Where's our merch at Chelseahandler dot com, Chelsea Handler dot com.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Okay, quick shout out to merch.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Okay, so you know, okay, did you get the lowdown
- 19:34Speaker 2: of what we're doing today. We're basically gonna have fun
- 19:37Speaker 2: with our callers. They call in for real shit and
- 19:39Speaker 2: we give them real advice.
- 19:40Speaker 4: I can't wait, I've listened.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Okay, great, all.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Right, so we need to take a break, and then
- 19:44Speaker 2: we're going to be right back. Okay, and we're.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Back, We are back, We're back okay, and uh, these
- 19:53Speaker 3: are all going to be centered around things that you
- 19:56Speaker 3: have something to do with or you've talked about.
- 19:58Speaker 2: And so, okay, are you comfortable with questions about anal penetration?
- 20:02Speaker 1: Anna?
- 20:03Speaker 4: Absolutely?
- 20:03Speaker 3: Yeah, perfect, There is one about porn. So that's why
- 20:07Speaker 3: I was like, wait, they're they're not all about you.
- 20:08Speaker 3: But did you know I've post my ass all over Instagram?
- 20:11Speaker 1: Though I know that you wake up and do anal
- 20:13Speaker 1: every morning.
- 20:14Speaker 2: I mean, anyone worth their salt does that. That's the
- 20:16Speaker 2: first thing on the menu.
- 20:18Speaker 5: I promise my Instagram followers when Pennsylvania turned blue, I
- 20:20Speaker 5: would do ten photos of my ass on Instagram and
- 20:23Speaker 5: amazing I did.
- 20:24Speaker 2: And I was like, I love when we can combine
- 20:27Speaker 2: politics and sex. That's my favorite two of my favorite
- 20:30Speaker 2: topics interpersonal relationships. Well, I like the emotional psychodrama that
- 20:34Speaker 2: goes with it. Two, but I love sex and I
- 20:36Speaker 2: love politics.
- 20:38Speaker 4: There you go, you would love that post. It was, Yeah,
- 20:40Speaker 4: I think my ass turned Pennsylvania blue.
- 20:42Speaker 1: I did it.
- 20:45Speaker 2: It's like the opposite of blue balls. It's like blue
- 20:47Speaker 2: ass smurf ass.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Well very appropriately. This email starts, am I the asshole? Probably,
- 20:57Speaker 3: Zan says Dear Chelsea, Am I the asshole? That's what
- 21:00Speaker 3: I'm needing reassurance on I was in a relationship for
- 21:03Speaker 3: six months. We started talking in May, met in June,
- 21:06Speaker 3: and became official in August. We ended New Year's Eve.
- 21:10Speaker 3: In short, he felt as though I was not integrating
- 21:12Speaker 3: into his life. The first incident came in the form
- 21:16Speaker 3: of a wedding in October. He told me his cousin
- 21:18Speaker 3: was getting married in January. It was a big moment
- 21:20Speaker 3: for the family and he wanted me to attend. I
- 21:23Speaker 3: told him it made me feel uncomfortable to meet the
- 21:25Speaker 3: entire family so soon into the relationship. I felt steps
- 21:28Speaker 3: were being skipped, such as meeting individual members beforehand, and
- 21:32Speaker 3: given that it's a destination wedding, the cost included felt unreasonable.
- 21:36Speaker 3: He did not take it well. Ultimately, I bought a ticket,
- 21:39Speaker 3: but he never forgave me for hesitating. The second incident
- 21:43Speaker 3: involves his friends. Being thirty three, I've phased out of
- 21:46Speaker 3: the twenty somethings enjoyment of alcohol. Him being twenty six
- 21:50Speaker 3: hasn't their idea of a good time as to be expected,
- 21:53Speaker 3: always involves drinking. Because of this, I don't fully enjoy
- 21:56Speaker 3: the moments we're all together. And when I asked him
- 21:59Speaker 3: if there was ever a time he and his friends
- 22:00Speaker 3: got together and didn't drink, he couldn't really give me
- 22:03Speaker 3: an answer, but he said I was being selfish and uncompromising.
- 22:07Speaker 3: I feel like I am and was being rational, But
- 22:09Speaker 3: his voice in my head and the accompanying guilt make
- 22:12Speaker 3: me question myself.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Am I the asshole? Zan is Xana gay Man is Zanna? Yes? Yes, oh,
- 22:18Speaker 1: z Zan, You're not being an asshole at all. That's
- 22:21Speaker 1: like good.
- 22:21Speaker 2: All the red flags you identified them, You hesitated when
- 22:25Speaker 2: you didn't want to go to the wedding.
- 22:26Speaker 1: You for the right reasons.
- 22:27Speaker 2: There's nothing wrong with being like circumspect about meeting people's families.
- 22:32Speaker 2: They're being overwhelmed, and also the cost that was put
- 22:34Speaker 2: into it. No, I don't think you were an.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Asshole at all.
- 22:37Speaker 2: I think you were actually had boundaries and were stating them,
- 22:42Speaker 2: and you were being told that your boundaries aren't going
- 22:44Speaker 2: to be respected.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Yeah, six or seven months, because it sounds like, you know,
- 22:48Speaker 3: they started talking in May and this wedding was in January,
- 22:51Speaker 3: like six or seven months kind of feels like plenty
- 22:54Speaker 3: of time.
- 22:54Speaker 4: To meet the family.
- 22:55Speaker 3: And I get that it's like overwhelming being all at once,
- 22:58Speaker 3: but I think it's okay to be uncomfortable. But that
- 23:01Speaker 3: feels like pretty appropriate timeline.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Yes, it is appropriate, But if the person doesn't want
- 23:05Speaker 2: to do that, then the person doesn't want to do that.
- 23:07Speaker 2: You can't make someone go and you're going to meet
- 23:10Speaker 2: my whole family all in one fell swoop.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I can imagine a lot of people. That would make
- 23:13Speaker 1: a lot very nervous.
- 23:14Speaker 2: First of all, I would fucking run towards that wedding
- 23:16Speaker 2: because I love shit like that. But I have a
- 23:18Speaker 2: different personality type, right, Like I get it, Like if
- 23:22Speaker 2: that's overwhelming to some people, some people have serious like
- 23:24Speaker 2: social anxiety and whatever.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I don't know. I think it's valid to not do
- 23:28Speaker 1: anything you don't want to do.
- 23:30Speaker 5: I agree with you one thousand percent. I think it's
- 23:32Speaker 5: like you were honest with this person.
- 23:34Speaker 4: If they made you feel bad, then that's on them.
- 23:37Speaker 5: If you're like, hey, I don't know how I feel
- 23:39Speaker 5: about meeting your whole family, that's okay, you know, and
- 23:41Speaker 5: then you know it's not going to work.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Out.
- 23:43Speaker 5: I guess if they can't understand where you where your
- 23:46Speaker 5: boundaries are. I made my boyfriend meet my parents three
- 23:49Speaker 5: weeks into dating, so I'm no one.
- 23:52Speaker 4: I'm bad.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I never have any like rules around that.
- 23:55Speaker 2: But also when you ask if you're an asshole, usually
- 23:58Speaker 2: the assholes.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Aren't asking that question.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, so we'll problem solved and they're not the
- 24:05Speaker 2: Zan Zan zan.
- 24:07Speaker 5: Oh, and I wanted to address the drinking thing. That's ridiculous.
- 24:10Speaker 5: If Zan doesn't want to have a drink, who gives
- 24:12Speaker 5: a ship?
- 24:13Speaker 1: Yeah? No, one's what are you in.
- 24:16Speaker 4: The DARE program where they're like, come on, I had
- 24:18Speaker 4: a drink? Are you not? Are you a loser? You
- 24:20Speaker 4: can't hang out with us?
- 24:21Speaker 1: No?
- 24:21Speaker 3: Yeah, right right yeah, And I think that is just
- 24:25Speaker 3: sort of a clear sign that you're not in the
- 24:26Speaker 3: same place in life as this other guy.
- 24:29Speaker 4: So well, thanks Anne, I'm glad Zan got out.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, okay, what's next? Next up?
- 24:37Speaker 3: Our next one is a caller, and this is Elena.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Elena is currently in Puerto Rico. She's on vacation, but
- 24:44Speaker 3: she's calling in. Dear Chelsea, I heard you answer a
- 24:47Speaker 3: question about porn in your last interview with ze way,
- 24:50Speaker 3: and it brought up another question for me. I haven't
- 24:52Speaker 3: felt comfortable talking about it because the second a woman
- 24:55Speaker 3: brings up porn in any questioning way, I feel like
- 24:57Speaker 3: we're labeled as prudes. I'm not against using porn. I
- 25:02Speaker 3: completely believe in and support healthy porn consumption. But I
- 25:05Speaker 3: recently found out that my boyfriend of two years has
- 25:08Speaker 3: several OnlyFans subscriptions, paying for these girls monthly, even messaging them,
- 25:13Speaker 3: talking to them, and tipping them for custom nude sets.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Oh.
- 25:17Speaker 3: To me, this feels adjacent to cheating, though obviously not physically.
- 25:23Speaker 1: It feels like a betrayal, and I was really hurt
- 25:25Speaker 1: by it.
- 25:26Speaker 3: When we talked about it, he said he didn't think
- 25:28Speaker 3: it was a big deal at all and quote people
- 25:30Speaker 3: in healthy relationships do this all the time. It felt
- 25:33Speaker 3: like a shitty response. Honestly, my gut says it's not
- 25:36Speaker 3: normal or fine. To me, this crosses a line for me.
- 25:39Speaker 3: With the payment and messaging. Looking at a potential future
- 25:42Speaker 3: with him as a possible husband makes me really nervous
- 25:45Speaker 3: after this, and I don't want to deal with this
- 25:47Speaker 3: when I'm six months pregnant with his kid.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I've gotten mixed advice.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Women tell me to run, some men say give him
- 25:52Speaker 3: another chance, and other men even say this type of
- 25:55Speaker 3: porn consumption is totally normal and natural. I'd love to
- 25:58Speaker 3: hear your advice on this. I appreciate your show and
- 26:01Speaker 3: all of your advice.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Elena.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Hi, Elena, Hi, Hi, this is Anna, she's our special
- 26:07Speaker 2: guest day Anna Roysman.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Hi, Elena, I'm with you.
- 26:11Speaker 1: I don't. I don't like that. I'm not into that
- 26:13Speaker 1: paying's messaging what.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that is like that's flirting with if it was
- 26:17Speaker 2: if it weren't an oly fan site and he was
- 26:20Speaker 2: messaging anyone on the side, wouldn't you.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Be put off by that? That's that is kind of cheating.
- 26:26Speaker 2: It's flirting with another person when you're in supposedly a
- 26:29Speaker 2: monogaous Does he know he's in a monogamous relationship?
- 26:32Speaker 9: Yes, And I'd even asked him after I found this out,
- 26:36Speaker 9: whether or not he wanted to continue a monogamous relationship
- 26:39Speaker 9: or do something else, and he doubled down he said, yes,
- 26:43Speaker 9: I would I want to maintain a monogamous.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Relation, of course, because he's getting to watch porn and
- 26:48Speaker 2: flirt and tip other women. No, it's like it's icky.
- 26:51Speaker 2: I mean, I listen, I might be old fashioned, but
- 26:53Speaker 2: I don't think so. I think I'm pretty fucking with it.
- 26:56Speaker 2: And it's like that, especially even if he wasn't paying
- 26:59Speaker 2: them and he was DM some girls flirting with them
- 27:01Speaker 2: that would feel bad to you, and for sex, like
- 27:05Speaker 2: watching them whatever they do on OnlyFans, right, is it
- 27:08Speaker 2: all sex or is it just like sometimes you show
- 27:10Speaker 2: like your vagina?
- 27:11Speaker 1: What happens?
- 27:12Speaker 2: I don't have any OnlyFans accounts that I follow. I've
- 27:15Speaker 2: been trying to get on it, but I have someone
- 27:16Speaker 2: blocked me.
- 27:17Speaker 9: No, No, I am all for the girls on only
- 27:20Speaker 9: Fans and so support them.
- 27:22Speaker 1: But and so does your boyfriend. So last night very much.
- 27:26Speaker 9: Very much. It's mainly, honestly, just been like nudes from them.
- 27:30Speaker 9: It hasn't been like custom videos or anything like that.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's all gross.
- 27:36Speaker 9: Yeah, it's like, I don't know, I want to like
- 27:38Speaker 9: support his desires nothing.
- 27:41Speaker 1: No, no, no, that's that's not a landing or too nice.
- 27:44Speaker 2: You're being a little naive and you're being a little
- 27:46Speaker 2: bit too nice. You don't need to support his porn interest.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Right, It's not like he's picking up a guitar or
- 27:51Speaker 3: like learning another language.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Like that's not your responsibility a and like, yes, of
- 27:57Speaker 2: course kudos to anyone who has an only Fans, But
- 28:00Speaker 2: if you want your boyfriend or your partner like that
- 28:03Speaker 2: doesn't feel good to you, clearly because you're calling and
- 28:07Speaker 2: it's just it key behavior and there's nothing no no,
- 28:11Speaker 2: I think you need to move on from him, and
- 28:14Speaker 2: also you need to have like a little bit more
- 28:18Speaker 2: and better understanding of what you are and what you're
- 28:20Speaker 2: not willing to like put up with within a relationship.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Yeah right.
- 28:25Speaker 5: I also wanted to say, when you called in, you
- 28:27Speaker 5: give this whole description of like porn and porn, watching porn,
- 28:31Speaker 5: putting on porn. I mean porn, I'm gonna say, you
- 28:33Speaker 5: know it's art, right, it's a form of art in
- 28:35Speaker 5: the but in only Fans where you're having a connection
- 28:39Speaker 5: with someone who's sending your nudes personally and you paid
- 28:41Speaker 5: them for it, that's a different that's not necessarily a porn,
- 28:45Speaker 5: you know, that's totally I mean people people are dating
- 28:48Speaker 5: online today, you know, that's the same thing as like
- 28:49Speaker 5: having these like online relationships. I don't know, I think
- 28:52Speaker 5: it's it's a different level than like him, if you
- 28:54Speaker 5: walked in you're like, he's watching porn again on his computer.
- 28:57Speaker 5: That's different than paying for someone to message him.
- 29:00Speaker 9: Definitely. I have just asked different people's advice on this,
- 29:04Speaker 9: as I mentioned in my email, and you know, a
- 29:07Speaker 9: lot of women say the same thing, run get out.
- 29:11Speaker 9: A lot of men have mixed advice, like some say,
- 29:15Speaker 9: pill girl. I am so so sorry. I'm staying at
- 29:19Speaker 9: a friend's house and the cat is no, I'm so sorry.
- 29:23Speaker 2: First of all, stuff apologizing. You need to like boost
- 29:26Speaker 2: up your self esteem. You're too nice. That's a very
- 29:29Speaker 2: nice quality, but you need to have a little bit
- 29:31Speaker 2: more like gumption and a little bit more.
- 29:34Speaker 1: You are like a beautiful.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Kind, caring individual who is thinking about a person, and
- 29:40Speaker 2: you need to be thinking about yourself. Actually, you're giving
- 29:42Speaker 2: him a little bit too much credit in this area.
- 29:44Speaker 2: This is really about how you feel. It doesn't make
- 29:46Speaker 2: you feel good, so it's not going to work for you.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Yeah, right, thank you. Yeah, it's not gonna work for you.
- 29:53Speaker 5: Yeah, you don't need to support his habits of messaging
- 29:57Speaker 5: women for naked photos.
- 29:58Speaker 9: Yeah, him like a year into a stating I've been
- 30:02Speaker 9: doing for almost two and a half years and about
- 30:04Speaker 9: a year and I asked him, because I was having
- 30:08Speaker 9: some feelings. I wasn't sure if he I just had
- 30:11Speaker 9: a sense there was something going on only fans wise,
- 30:15Speaker 9: so I asked him, are you you know only fans,
- 30:18Speaker 9: no judgment, it's fine, but I just want to know
- 30:20Speaker 9: for me, for my future. And he was really adamant
- 30:24Speaker 9: about it. He said, no, absolutely not. Why would I
- 30:27Speaker 9: pay for something like that. So I think it's more
- 30:31Speaker 9: frustrating too that he lied about it.
- 30:34Speaker 2: You know, and you gave him an opportunity and then
- 30:36Speaker 2: he blew it, so he lied to you. So no,
- 30:39Speaker 2: you deserve better than this. This isn't going to be
- 30:41Speaker 2: good enough for you, period. So are you ready to
- 30:44Speaker 2: break up with him?
- 30:45Speaker 1: Because you should?
- 30:46Speaker 9: Thank you, Chelsey, I've honestly been confused by a lot
- 30:50Speaker 9: of advice that I've gotten, Like men say, it's actually
- 30:52Speaker 9: it's just porn. It's fine, and actually it's more ethical
- 30:56Speaker 9: because it's from only fans, like you're controlling where the
- 30:59Speaker 9: money goes. But I think I think there's a good
- 31:02Speaker 9: percentage of women on only vans who are still trafficked,
- 31:04Speaker 9: Like you.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Know, yeah, that sounds like guys who love only vans
- 31:07Speaker 3: only men would say that it's ethical gonna cheat anyway,
- 31:10Speaker 3: so it's better that he's just cheating with someone online.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Like whatever.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Don't listen to men and give advice to women about
- 31:17Speaker 2: fucking anything. You need to listen to women, and right
- 31:20Speaker 2: now you need to listen to us. I can see
- 31:23Speaker 2: this fixture very clearly. I'm sorry that you wasted two
- 31:25Speaker 2: and a half years of your life, but there is
- 31:27Speaker 2: somebody out there for you that is gonna appreciate and
- 31:29Speaker 2: love you. It's actually it's a sea of men. They're everywhere.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Everywhere you go, there they are.
- 31:35Speaker 5: And you're gonna be stronger because of this situation. You're
- 31:38Speaker 5: gonna know what you want when you don't want.
- 31:40Speaker 1: And you need to also use your voice.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Like your voice, I want you to use that as
- 31:44Speaker 2: a tool for yourself, and I want you to write
- 31:46Speaker 2: that down, like you need to get stronger in your voice,
- 31:50Speaker 2: and I mean that actually audibly. And you know you
- 31:53Speaker 2: need to like do some vocal exercises in the morning
- 31:56Speaker 2: to like ground yourself because you're being This is what
- 31:59Speaker 2: I see when I look at you, somebody who's just
- 32:01Speaker 2: like in the air that is like kind of being directed,
- 32:04Speaker 2: like you're like a hot air balloon. That it doesn't
- 32:07Speaker 2: know where to land because you're kind of being directed
- 32:09Speaker 2: by someone who doesn't have your best interest.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and you want to be grounded in who you are.
- 32:14Speaker 2: You want to be a woman like you're a woman
- 32:17Speaker 2: and you're powerful, and you have all of these amazing
- 32:19Speaker 2: things going for you in your life. And I don't
- 32:21Speaker 2: know half of them, but I already know that's true
- 32:23Speaker 2: because it's true for every one of us.
- 32:25Speaker 1: And this outward focus on that no, no, no, I
- 32:28Speaker 1: don't like that at all. And you're better than that.
- 32:31Speaker 9: Thank you, Chelsea.
- 32:32Speaker 3: To Chelsea's point about you need to listen to women
- 32:35Speaker 3: about this, it's not because women are always right all o.
- 32:38Speaker 1: We usually are.
- 32:38Speaker 3: It's because the women in your life are echoing what
- 32:41Speaker 3: is coming up for you, what's coming from your gut
- 32:44Speaker 3: and what your gut is telling you, and the men
- 32:46Speaker 3: in your life are trying to like dissuade you from that.
- 32:49Speaker 1: It sounds like the women.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Are telling you exactly how you're feeling, and that's why
- 32:54Speaker 3: you should listen to them.
- 32:55Speaker 9: Thank you all so much. This is really helpful. It's
- 32:58Speaker 9: so great to get your advice on this.
- 33:00Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 33:01Speaker 6: Well.
- 33:01Speaker 1: I'll be thinking about you, honey, follow up with us. Okay,
- 33:03Speaker 1: let us know how it goes.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Let us know when you break up with your boyfriend,
- 33:05Speaker 2: because you will and keep us posted.
- 33:08Speaker 1: We'll have you on our matchmaking segment.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Yes, oh that's fun. Yeah, I will put you on
- 33:13Speaker 2: our matchmaking segment.
- 33:14Speaker 1: I love that.
- 33:15Speaker 9: Thank you so much.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Okay, bye, Len, good luck bye.
- 33:19Speaker 1: I love men. It's better.
- 33:20Speaker 2: It's more ethical to watch porn when you're fucking so stupid.
- 33:24Speaker 1: I love my brother.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Over Christmas this year, he was like, Chelsea, let me
- 33:28Speaker 2: I go no, no, let me tell you. Don't don't
- 33:32Speaker 2: tell me anything, and don't start any sentence with let
- 33:35Speaker 2: me no, no, no, I don't let you anymore.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Don't talk to me like that.
- 33:41Speaker 3: But I think this is such an interesting question. Brad
- 33:43Speaker 3: and I, my husband and I were just having this
- 33:45Speaker 3: discussion the other day. We were watching ninety Day Fiance
- 33:48Speaker 3: and there was a similar situation, and it's like, where
- 33:50Speaker 3: is the line? And I think the line has to
- 33:52Speaker 3: be like when you start having direct conversations, like it's
- 33:55Speaker 3: not just porn when you start like I mean, yeah,
- 33:58Speaker 3: giving someone money, but even if you're not giving them money,
- 34:00Speaker 3: if someone's sending you nudes and the DMS, like, no,
- 34:03Speaker 3: that's not just like this is for fun and so
- 34:05Speaker 3: I can jerk off. This is something more. That's yeah,
- 34:08Speaker 3: that's too personalized.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:10Speaker 4: I got mad at my boyfriend of the pandemic.
- 34:11Speaker 5: He had a weekly D and D zoom game dungeons
- 34:14Speaker 5: and trackets, and I was like, this is worse than port.
- 34:17Speaker 5: I would feel better if you were actually like girl
- 34:20Speaker 5: and jerking out. I'm like you and your your fourteen
- 34:23Speaker 5: other like high school friends. They're all like men in
- 34:26Speaker 5: their forties and they're like playing characters on their Zoom.
- 34:29Speaker 1: I can't. I cannot with men in video games. I mean,
- 34:32Speaker 1: it is a boner killer. It is a boner killer.
- 34:36Speaker 5: I was like, have you heard of OnlyFans I made?
- 34:39Speaker 2: Fuck, that's a boner lift your upper and this is
- 34:41Speaker 2: a boner killer. It's just so like boners and you
- 34:44Speaker 2: don't know which direction they're headed east, west, north or south.
- 34:48Speaker 4: I was such a bitch. I'm like, let me play
- 34:50Speaker 4: my saxophone. Remember when I used to do that.
- 34:53Speaker 5: I'd be like, I'm I'm rehearsing in the other rooms.
- 35:01Speaker 3: Well, our next question comes from Hobby and he'll be
- 35:04Speaker 3: joining us on the phone as well.
- 35:06Speaker 1: He is currently unemployed, and I thought that this would be.
- 35:09Speaker 3: A perfect question for you since you had a podcast
- 35:11Speaker 3: called Unemployed and you know about transitions. So yes, Hobby
- 35:16Speaker 3: says Dear Chelsea. I'm currently working as a reality TV producer,
- 35:21Speaker 3: and while I love the work, the short term contracts
- 35:23Speaker 3: have been causing me some anxiety. Additionally, I had to
- 35:27Speaker 3: move back to Miami to care for my sick mother
- 35:29Speaker 3: he was living in LA, which added another layer of
- 35:32Speaker 3: complexity to my life. I admire the stick with itness
- 35:35Speaker 3: and resilience in the entertainment industry you have, and I'm
- 35:38Speaker 3: curious to know if you have any advice for someone
- 35:41Speaker 3: like me who feels at a crossroads. How do you
- 35:43Speaker 3: navigate the uncertainty of short contracts and do you have
- 35:46Speaker 3: any recommendations for building a backup plan or creating other
- 35:49Speaker 3: income streams. Furthermore, given my current circumstances in my life,
- 35:54Speaker 3: I'm contemplating whether I should consider moving back to LA
- 35:57Speaker 3: or explore other options. I'd appreciate any insights or wisdom
- 36:01Speaker 3: you could share based on your own experiences.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Have HI havevey?
- 36:06Speaker 7: Hey? How's it going good?
- 36:09Speaker 1: How are you?
- 36:10Speaker 7: I'm good good, I'm chilling, okay.
- 36:13Speaker 1: So Okay, break it down.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Well, Anna, this will be good for you too, because
- 36:16Speaker 2: we're all like that in this business. That's what it's like,
- 36:19Speaker 2: so we can relate for sure. It's like job to
- 36:21Speaker 2: job to job to job. No job security ever, ever, ever, No.
- 36:25Speaker 6: Four oh one K, no paid time off, none of that.
- 36:29Speaker 6: And right now that's sounding like mighty tempting. It feels
- 36:33Speaker 6: like I'm missing out on something.
- 36:34Speaker 1: You know, you mean by not having a four oh.
- 36:37Speaker 6: One K yeah, yeah, exactly, yeah, or just like steady
- 36:41Speaker 6: income throughout the year. Right now, Catherine knows, I'm unemployed.
- 36:45Speaker 6: I've worked it out where I have two shows that
- 36:47Speaker 6: I work on that kind of fill up nine months
- 36:49Speaker 6: out of the year, and now these three months January
- 36:52Speaker 6: to March, I'm just kind of hanging out, you know,
- 36:56Speaker 6: and applying for gigs and crossing my fingers but nothing yet.
- 37:00Speaker 4: Have you been doing it for a long time.
- 37:02Speaker 6: I've been working in reality TV for like five years
- 37:05Speaker 6: or so, producing like two ish years.
- 37:09Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 37:11Speaker 5: Okay, I want to say Mozeltov to you for having
- 37:14Speaker 5: a job nine months in a creative industry nine months
- 37:17Speaker 5: out of the year.
- 37:18Speaker 2: I'm like, oh god about that.
- 37:21Speaker 5: That's like teachers, you know, they get like a summer off.
- 37:23Speaker 4: I guess, I'm like, you're kind of living their schedule.
- 37:25Speaker 5: But I'm like, if I was employed for nine months
- 37:27Speaker 5: this year, I'd be like, you know, on a beach somewhere.
- 37:29Speaker 5: I'd be in Miami with you. No, not to I
- 37:33Speaker 5: understand though, that this lull, the three months is it
- 37:35Speaker 5: feels slow and you have no idea what to do.
- 37:37Speaker 6: But yeah, I feel slow, and then the demons start,
- 37:40Speaker 6: you know, creeping back in and telling me that I'm
- 37:43Speaker 6: never going to have a stable anything, never going to
- 37:45Speaker 6: be able to buy a house, never gonna you know.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Well, that's not true, that's not true.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Those are your thoughts, Like, that's your just like shadows
- 37:51Speaker 2: self telling you your That's what all of us have
- 37:54Speaker 2: and experience when we don't have a lot going on,
- 37:57Speaker 2: is our voices saying are you good enough?
- 37:59Speaker 1: Are you going to this happen? That's bullshit.
- 38:01Speaker 2: So first and foremost, we need you to spend these
- 38:03Speaker 2: three months that you have off in a very much
- 38:06Speaker 2: more productive way. And you sound like you have since
- 38:09Speaker 2: you have a steady income for those nine months out
- 38:11Speaker 2: of the year before you have something more that you're working.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Maybe eleven months out of the year.
- 38:15Speaker 2: I mean, it's a pretty good gig if you can
- 38:17Speaker 2: swing working nine months out of the year and keep
- 38:19Speaker 2: it that way.
- 38:20Speaker 1: I would just say, but you need to put money.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Aside in every paycheck first of all, for your own
- 38:24Speaker 2: four oh one k for your own You have to
- 38:26Speaker 2: start all of that shit yourself, and because then you're
- 38:29Speaker 2: an island taking care of yourself and you're feeding yourself
- 38:32Speaker 2: before you put yourself out there anymore. And there's a
- 38:34Speaker 2: lot of self esteem that comes with managing your money
- 38:37Speaker 2: in a very thoughtful, futuristic way.
- 38:40Speaker 1: You're preparing for the future. You can't just like burn
- 38:43Speaker 1: through everything and it feels.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Very good, and you're going to feel a lot safer
- 38:46Speaker 2: and like grounded and protected when you are looking out
- 38:50Speaker 2: for yourself. And there's all sorts of accounts you could
- 38:52Speaker 2: drop and they can take money from your paycheck. You
- 38:55Speaker 2: can put it in yourself like you can design it
- 38:57Speaker 2: however you want. But you need to start doing that anyway.
- 39:00Speaker 2: You know, you're a brown man and you should be
- 39:02Speaker 2: preparing for your future.
- 39:03Speaker 7: Absolutely. Yeah, yeah, I do.
- 39:05Speaker 6: I have a rough ira and I do have a
- 39:06Speaker 6: good amount of savings, but it's like I don't know.
- 39:09Speaker 6: I don't know if it's like the Cuban I'm Cuban
- 39:11Speaker 6: and the trauma of coming from parents who came from nothing,
- 39:15Speaker 6: Like I'm like, you gotta keep saving more, you gotta
- 39:17Speaker 6: keep saving more, you know, Like, but I hear you.
- 39:20Speaker 1: A lot of people feel that way.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Like a lot of people feel exactly the way that
- 39:24Speaker 2: you do. It's not as I did, to do with
- 39:25Speaker 2: being Cuban. It has to do with the human experience,
- 39:28Speaker 2: you know, you're I mean, not many people go through
- 39:30Speaker 2: life going I'm going to be great this whole time.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Everything's going to go my way.
- 39:34Speaker 7: Yeah, true, true.
- 39:35Speaker 5: Well are we gonna say Anna, I was gonna say, well, yeah,
- 39:37Speaker 5: as a Jew, you know, my parents, they they I
- 39:39Speaker 5: feel sorry for them that I did this, you know
- 39:41Speaker 5: what I mean.
- 39:42Speaker 4: I'm always broke and I'm always I feel for you
- 39:44Speaker 4: because this is where I am today this morning. Even.
- 39:47Speaker 4: But I was gonna say, you're a producer, and you.
- 39:49Speaker 5: Don't have to put yourself in a little category of
- 39:51Speaker 5: just a reality.
- 39:52Speaker 4: TV producer, because that's a hard job. You're a producer.
- 39:55Speaker 4: You could produce. You know how many people need producers,
- 39:57Speaker 4: like on a podcast.
- 39:59Speaker 5: Or first or film or you knows your name out there, Yeah, commercials, advertising,
- 40:05Speaker 5: even social media people need people to produce videos for
- 40:07Speaker 5: Like it's there's so much more work I think as
- 40:10Speaker 5: a producer, because you're obviously organized. You know how to
- 40:12Speaker 5: like book a place or guests or whatnot. You know,
- 40:16Speaker 5: like you know how to get people together. So I
- 40:18Speaker 5: think just exercise that and you might find something that
- 40:21Speaker 5: you like. Even you're like, wait, reality TV, that's so
- 40:24Speaker 5: of the past, Like look at me, I'm running you know,
- 40:27Speaker 5: six podcasts now. I always think, take whatever skills you enjoy,
- 40:31Speaker 5: because you obviously went in a creative route, you chose
- 40:34Speaker 5: not to go into like a corporate job. Like take
- 40:37Speaker 5: those skills and just go and try something else with it,
- 40:39Speaker 5: because I think you seem.
- 40:41Speaker 4: Like you could do that.
- 40:43Speaker 7: Thank you, thank you.
- 40:44Speaker 6: Yeah. I also have this like feeling that like I've
- 40:46Speaker 6: got to be out in La you know, that's where
- 40:48Speaker 6: I kind of like set up my like network of people.
- 40:50Speaker 6: I lived there for two years, and like I wrote
- 40:53Speaker 6: in the email, like I've been back home with Mom
- 40:55Speaker 6: who's been sick. I have my ninety three year old
- 40:57Speaker 6: grandfather here who I'm also like helping out, you know,
- 40:59Speaker 6: make you know, a doctor's appointment to whatnot. And my
- 41:01Speaker 6: dad is a truck driver who's gone half the time.
- 41:04Speaker 6: And so I feel like a little bit of a
- 41:06Speaker 6: how to be home right now here in Miami. And
- 41:08Speaker 6: I'm sure there's a ton of ton of work here,
- 41:10Speaker 6: But again, my network's kind of like in La. So
- 41:13Speaker 6: I'm kind of like again at that's like cross roads.
- 41:15Speaker 2: But first of all, you can you can reach out
- 41:17Speaker 2: to your network in LA and I guarantee you they're
- 41:19Speaker 2: going to have connections in Miami.
- 41:21Speaker 1: You can reach out to, you can. There's so many
- 41:22Speaker 1: proactive things you can be doing.
- 41:23Speaker 2: And I think being there for your family is so
- 41:25Speaker 2: important and meaningful that it's great that you're doing that.
- 41:29Speaker 2: We spend so much time thinking about what we're not
- 41:31Speaker 2: doing instead of.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Thinking about what we're doing.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Like you are doing something very profound and meaningful by
- 41:36Speaker 2: being available for your family. That is meaningful, And I
- 41:39Speaker 2: would choose that any day over the week, over you know,
- 41:42Speaker 2: any of this business.
- 41:43Speaker 1: The reality is you have to work, but you can
- 41:45Speaker 1: have it both ways.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Like everything is possible, you just have to actually put
- 41:49Speaker 2: in the work, which might be a little bit of
- 41:51Speaker 2: like trying to figure out who would have a connection
- 41:53Speaker 2: in Miami. And yes, I love Anna's advice about trying
- 41:57Speaker 2: different things, because yeah, you could get a couple days
- 42:00Speaker 2: on another job doing something completely different, on a modeling
- 42:03Speaker 2: shoot or print shoot campaign and and and it'd be like, oh,
- 42:08Speaker 2: I could make a couple I could do this five
- 42:09Speaker 2: days a month when I'm here in Miami, or twenty
- 42:12Speaker 2: days a month. You can find other avenues where you're
- 42:14Speaker 2: making money. You're still in the industry you want to
- 42:17Speaker 2: be in, but you're getting another look at kind of
- 42:19Speaker 2: like various different parts of the industry, and they're.
- 42:22Speaker 4: Gonna love that you have LA experience on your and
- 42:26Speaker 4: they're gonna be like, oh, wow, he's the real deal.
- 42:28Speaker 5: Okay, he lived in LA and produced reality shows like
- 42:31Speaker 5: that's that's big.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it's cool.
- 42:36Speaker 4: You know.
- 42:36Speaker 3: I want you to see these three months not as
- 42:40Speaker 3: like downtime. We are not making money, but we all
- 42:43Speaker 3: know how busy a producer's life can be when you're working.
- 42:47Speaker 3: So I want you to take these three months and
- 42:50Speaker 3: think bigger, not what job could I be doing, but
- 42:54Speaker 3: what's my next career move? I mean, maybe you are
- 42:56Speaker 3: at the point where it's hard to save, but you
- 42:58Speaker 3: know what I think you need to be looking at
- 43:00Speaker 3: this more creatively. This is your moment to think about
- 43:04Speaker 3: what show do I maybe want to pitch, What ideas
- 43:08Speaker 3: do I have? How can I level up my career
- 43:11Speaker 3: to the point where I am making enough money that
- 43:13Speaker 3: it's easy to put money into a four oh one K.
- 43:15Speaker 3: I would also say a book I'd recommend for you
- 43:18Speaker 3: is You Are a Badass at Making Money by Jensen Cero,
- 43:21Speaker 3: who's been on the podcast before, and that.
- 43:24Speaker 1: I wrote that book? Did I write it? You're very
- 43:27Speaker 1: good at it.
- 43:28Speaker 4: I need to read this book too.
- 43:29Speaker 6: Now.
- 43:30Speaker 4: It's great.
- 43:30Speaker 3: It's kind of less about like what specifically to do
- 43:33Speaker 3: and more about changing your mindset around money and fixing
- 43:36Speaker 3: especially the scarcity thing that you have going on. You've
- 43:38Speaker 3: got like very much a scarcity mindset and turning that
- 43:42Speaker 3: into like training your mind to think in terms of abundance.
- 43:46Speaker 2: And I'm going to get to you got to start
- 43:47Speaker 2: meditating too. Like I say this to almost everybody, but
- 43:50Speaker 2: it sucking. Makes such a difference to just constantly like
- 43:54Speaker 2: there's all these mantras, guided mantras about you, and there's
- 43:58Speaker 2: I promise you if you meditate for like five days
- 44:00Speaker 2: in a row, you're going to just start to feel
- 44:02Speaker 2: a lightness and a groundedness that you didn't feel because
- 44:05Speaker 2: you're actually giving yourself that time to surround yourself with
- 44:09Speaker 2: whatever imagery like calms you or lights or whatever, your
- 44:13Speaker 2: whatever makes you feel protected, and like just visualizing what
- 44:18Speaker 2: is your safest environment and telling yourself, like, you've got this.
- 44:21Speaker 1: You're the reason why you've gotten this far to begin with.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Like you're on your own team, so just make sure
- 44:27Speaker 2: that you're always working for that team.
- 44:30Speaker 7: Yeah. Absolutely, I used to meditate it a lot and
- 44:33Speaker 7: I need to pick it back up. You're absolutely right.
- 44:35Speaker 7: And I think I need to go to therapy again.
- 44:36Speaker 7: I know you would say that.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean everyone should be in therapy. I just
- 44:40Speaker 2: got off the phone with my therapist this morning, you guys.
- 44:42Speaker 2: I just had a nice one hour session with my
- 44:44Speaker 2: new therapist. I fucking love this woman.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Yes, send me your contact, Okay, And right now you
- 44:50Speaker 1: have the time.
- 44:51Speaker 4: I wanted to say one other thing.
- 44:52Speaker 5: You're never going to look back at this time and
- 44:54Speaker 5: regret being with your family, you know, like in the
- 44:57Speaker 5: future you'll look back and be like, need to do
- 45:00Speaker 5: that dumb gig in La for like a weekend and like,
- 45:02Speaker 5: you know, stress myself out, like you'll always look back
- 45:04Speaker 5: at loving the time with your family.
- 45:06Speaker 7: So absolutely, no, you're so right, And just.
- 45:08Speaker 2: To remember, like I always like to think open instead
- 45:11Speaker 2: of contract, like when you're thinking about career stuff and
- 45:13Speaker 2: like dabbling in different things.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Don't think you only do one thing.
- 45:17Speaker 2: Think oh, what else can I do that I don't
- 45:19Speaker 2: know that I can do yet, Like what else is there?
- 45:21Speaker 2: And be very open to all the possibilities and maybe
- 45:24Speaker 2: even if it's a job opportunity, like a couple of
- 45:26Speaker 2: days work here and there on some sort of production
- 45:28Speaker 2: that isn't reality based or that you're not that familiar with,
- 45:32Speaker 2: even if it doesn't sound appealing, like I would beseech
- 45:34Speaker 2: you to just try it. You know, you don't know
- 45:37Speaker 2: what all the stuff that's out there that you're gonna
- 45:39Speaker 2: like until you do it, and you can cross it
- 45:41Speaker 2: off and go that's not for me.
- 45:42Speaker 1: This is for me.
- 45:43Speaker 7: Yeah, it's that improv rule. Yes and yes, yeah.
- 45:47Speaker 5: Yeah, So Ariana Grande's latest song, Oh yeah.
- 45:52Speaker 1: What is it? What is it? I think I listened
- 45:54Speaker 1: to it yesterday, yes, and yes, okay, there you go, Okay.
- 45:59Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 45:59Speaker 1: She went to say city.
- 46:02Speaker 5: This is traumatizing for people in comedy. Why does she
- 46:04Speaker 5: need I Likedriana Grande until this song. I'm like, I can't,
- 46:07Speaker 5: I can't.
- 46:09Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, all right, well, thank you also so so much.
- 46:11Speaker 6: I'm taking this all to heart.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Okay, and wey bye, Honey, take care great, Harvey's taken
- 46:20Speaker 2: care of wonderful.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Yeah, this is like I like what you said Anna
- 46:23Speaker 3: about like it's like a teacher, like this is the
- 46:25Speaker 3: time he gets to focus on himself, do some soul searching.
- 46:30Speaker 4: All that stuff.
- 46:31Speaker 5: Oh my god, I wish I could work nine months
- 46:33Speaker 5: out of the year. I was like, that sounds amazing. Unemployed.
- 46:35Speaker 4: What I'm sorry, We're.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Going to take a break and we're going to be
- 46:40Speaker 2: right back to wrap it up, and we're back.
- 46:46Speaker 1: We're back. Well.
- 46:48Speaker 3: Our next question comes from Brittany, and this one's just
- 46:50Speaker 3: an email. Brittany says, Dear Chelsea, I work in a
- 46:54Speaker 3: male dominated environment, and it's all too common to hear
- 46:57Speaker 3: about committed men having affairs on their partner. I recently
- 47:01Speaker 3: learned about a guy from work, let's call him John,
- 47:03Speaker 3: who was sleeping with a girl from my work, let's
- 47:05Speaker 3: call her Jane. Neither John nor Jane are friends of mine. However,
- 47:10Speaker 3: I was part of a wedding party this summer with
- 47:12Speaker 3: John's wife, let's call her Sam. At this point, I
- 47:15Speaker 3: knew about John and Jane's affair, but I was under
- 47:18Speaker 3: the impression that it was short lived and had been
- 47:20Speaker 3: over for a few months. Before this wedding, I was
- 47:22Speaker 3: not friends with Sam and didn't feel like it was
- 47:24Speaker 3: my place to say anything. But then I had a
- 47:26Speaker 3: great bonding experience with Sam at the wedding and we
- 47:29Speaker 3: said we should keep in touch, and I recently learned
- 47:32Speaker 3: that John and Jane's affair is still ongoing. I feel
- 47:36Speaker 3: terrible for Sam. She's a wonderful person, working mother of five,
- 47:40Speaker 3: and I feel more inclined to say something at this point,
- 47:43Speaker 3: but I'm still not sure if I'm the right person
- 47:45Speaker 3: to do it, or that I should be getting involved
- 47:47Speaker 3: at all.
- 47:48Speaker 1: I just know that if it were.
- 47:49Speaker 3: Me in this situation, I'd want to know that my
- 47:51Speaker 3: husband was having an affair. So should I tell Sam
- 47:54Speaker 3: or should I stay out of it? Best regards brittany An,
- 47:58Speaker 3: I'll let.
- 47:58Speaker 1: You go first on this.
- 48:00Speaker 5: Really, yeah, I I feel like you have to tell her.
- 48:06Speaker 5: I don't know unless it's been so long you think
- 48:08Speaker 5: she even knows.
- 48:09Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 48:09Speaker 5: Obviously she's writing in right, it's on her chest and
- 48:13Speaker 5: she knows that deep down she probably should tell her,
- 48:16Speaker 5: but it wants to feel like, well, maybe if I don't,
- 48:18Speaker 5: life will move on and it'll be better.
- 48:20Speaker 1: This brought back.
- 48:21Speaker 5: I literally am like, oh my god. I had a
- 48:23Speaker 5: friend and I knew her boyfriend. She had said, I
- 48:25Speaker 5: think he's cheating on me, cheating on me. And literally
- 48:27Speaker 5: two years later I met a friend in LA and
- 48:30Speaker 5: she was the one he was cheating on. And I
- 48:32Speaker 5: connected these dots and I was like, oh, oh my god,
- 48:36Speaker 5: do I tell my friend? Like I know, she didn't
- 48:38Speaker 5: know who it was. And I'm like, oh my god,
- 48:40Speaker 5: it's someone I know. That's awful, but and I think
- 48:43Speaker 5: about it still. I ended up saying it after everyone.
- 48:46Speaker 4: Was broken that no one was with the sky anymore.
- 48:48Speaker 5: But I was like, yeah, if you know something and
- 48:51Speaker 5: you respect this person, I would say, you know, be
- 48:54Speaker 5: there for them and support them, and I would tell
- 48:55Speaker 5: them maybe I'm I don't know, it's gonna.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Be hard either way.
- 48:59Speaker 2: I couldn't agree with more listen as a woman, there
- 49:01Speaker 2: needs to be more honesty in this world not less honesty.
- 49:04Speaker 1: As a woman, it is imperative.
- 49:06Speaker 2: That we are honest with each other because we have
- 49:09Speaker 2: been short shrifted our entire existence and lie to And
- 49:13Speaker 2: as a woman, I would tell a stranger if I
- 49:15Speaker 2: knew something about her life because I would want her
- 49:18Speaker 2: to know, and she can do Listen, it's a new friend.
- 49:21Speaker 2: It's not your close friends, so whatever. If she doesn't
- 49:24Speaker 2: want to be friends with you after, then that's fine too.
- 49:26Speaker 2: But I think this is an opportunity for you to
- 49:29Speaker 2: show up for someone in a way that is meaningful,
- 49:31Speaker 2: because it is not fair for her to have five
- 49:34Speaker 2: children and a husband who's having an affair while she's
- 49:37Speaker 2: fucking doing everything.
- 49:38Speaker 1: It's just not fair.
- 49:39Speaker 2: And I don't think it's in being an interloper when
- 49:42Speaker 2: you're telling someone the truth, Like and I've had friendships
- 49:45Speaker 2: end because of telling the truth, you know, But I
- 49:48Speaker 2: will never stop telling people the truth, and I will
- 49:50Speaker 2: never stop telling women the truth. There's a feeling inside
- 49:54Speaker 2: of me, and I think many of us can relate
- 49:56Speaker 2: to it. I'm sure I know both of you are
- 49:58Speaker 2: going to agree with me that there is a sisterhood
- 50:01Speaker 2: and we all owe it to each other to think
- 50:04Speaker 2: of each other first before some guy. We need to
- 50:07Speaker 2: be on each other's team, and that requires sometimes difficult conversations,
- 50:12Speaker 2: but moreover, honesty.
- 50:13Speaker 1: There is no way you can go wrong with being honest.
- 50:17Speaker 5: Yeah, and it'll be hard at first, but you know
- 50:20Speaker 5: she'll be better for it, Like it will, she'll learn
- 50:23Speaker 5: to handle this.
- 50:24Speaker 2: It's not going to get where she might be like
- 50:26Speaker 2: fuck you and I don't want to hear this and
- 50:28Speaker 2: I don't believe you, and it might ruin your relationship, but.
- 50:31Speaker 1: I still would do it. I would. I would say
- 50:32Speaker 1: it's more important to be honest.
- 50:34Speaker 3: Do you think there are any safeguards that she could
- 50:37Speaker 3: take in telling because she works with this guy, Like,
- 50:41Speaker 3: my one concern is that this is going to affect
- 50:43Speaker 3: her career negatively because she'll be known as like the
- 50:46Speaker 3: person who outed John like for having this affair.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that's going to be an issue.
- 50:53Speaker 2: But they're just colleagues, right, Yeah, it's not like he's
- 50:55Speaker 2: her boss or something that.
- 50:57Speaker 1: Yeah, not as far as I mean, Yeah, I don't know.
- 50:59Speaker 2: You know, when you get into like don't tell them
- 51:02Speaker 2: I told you, like that is all very Yeah.
- 51:05Speaker 1: It's like it's irrelevant.
- 51:06Speaker 2: It's almost like, yeah, I'm telling on you and you're
- 51:09Speaker 2: gonna hate me, so you're gonna just have to pony
- 51:12Speaker 2: up to that. Yeah, I'm sorry, but I'm not gonna
- 51:15Speaker 2: watch this happen. It's gross. I want to see it,
- 51:18Speaker 2: you know.
- 51:19Speaker 3: And I think sometimes when we're carrying the weight of
- 51:21Speaker 3: someone else's secrets, we don't give enough weight to how
- 51:23Speaker 3: that affects us. Like I know someone who kept a
- 51:26Speaker 3: very similar secret to this for years, for a long
- 51:29Speaker 3: long time about something that was going on, and it
- 51:32Speaker 3: really truly impacted her.
- 51:34Speaker 1: Health in a in a huge way.
- 51:36Speaker 3: So I think we can't really underestimate how how impactful
- 51:40Speaker 3: carrying someone else's secrets can be.
- 51:42Speaker 1: M Yeah, I mean she.
- 51:44Speaker 4: Lost me when she said she had five kids, Like
- 51:46Speaker 4: she's home caring.
- 51:47Speaker 5: For five kits and off a holiday party like looking
- 51:50Speaker 5: up with someone like stakes are raised.
- 51:52Speaker 2: Yes, Yeah, I just don't understand these women either that
- 51:55Speaker 2: have affairs with men who have five children and have
- 51:57Speaker 2: a wife at home, Like what are you telling yourself
- 52:00Speaker 2: that this is a good this is a good karma
- 52:02Speaker 2: for you and for there's there's children involved, Like, It's
- 52:05Speaker 2: just it's gross.
- 52:08Speaker 3: So yeah, anyway, brittany time to tattle okay.
- 52:13Speaker 1: Anna Roisman, You've been such a delight. Anna. Tell everyone
- 52:16Speaker 1: how they can watch you find you all of your shit.

- 52:31Speaker 5: like it. When they don't like it. It's a little
- 52:33Speaker 5: touch and go. But you know, for the most.
- 52:35Speaker 1: Part, do you get a lot of feedback from celebrities
- 52:37Speaker 1: who don't like it?
- 52:38Speaker 7: You know.
- 52:39Speaker 4: I used to get blocked from Instagram a lot.
- 52:41Speaker 5: I get warnings a lot, and I think someone was
- 52:43Speaker 5: reporting me, which was scary. And that's Hilaria Baldwin. And
- 52:47Speaker 5: I'm okay with it now, you.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Know, Laria Baldwin, what a mess.
- 52:52Speaker 4: People think I'm her on diktok. It's a little scary.
- 52:54Speaker 5: That was an accident. We do look alike, I guess
- 52:57Speaker 5: you can say. But oh, and I want to say.
- 53:00Speaker 5: You can listen to my podcast. It's called Big Wigs.
- 53:03Speaker 5: My friend Andrea and I do impressions together. We do

- 53:11Speaker 5: have fun.
- 53:12Speaker 3: Hearing you two like do Chris and Courtney together at
- 53:15Speaker 3: each other is hysterical.
- 53:17Speaker 4: Thank you.
