Prince Andrew Takes Police to Court Over Epstein Files Arrest (10/5/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to hop across
• 0:06
Speaker 1: the pond and get an update on the Joe Exotic
• 0:10
Speaker 1: of the Windsor family and his new push to take
• 0:13
Speaker 1: the police over in the UK to court over the
• 0:17
Speaker 1: Epstein Files arrest. And to do that, we have an
• 0:20
Speaker 1: article from The Telegraph. Headline, exclusive. Andrew takes police to
• 0:26
Speaker 1: court over the Epstein Files arrest. This article was authored
• 0:30
Speaker 1: by Martin Evans, Victoria Ward, and Tom Parry. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor
• 0:36
Speaker 1: has launched legal action against Thames Valley Police over his
• 0:40
Speaker 1: arrest in relation to the Epstein files. The Telegraph can reveal.
• 0:45
Speaker 1: The former Duke of York, who was detained in a
• 0:47
Speaker 1: blaze of publicity eight months ago, has asked a judge
• 0:51
Speaker 1: to determine whether the force's actions towards him was lawful. Yeah, because,
• 0:56
Speaker 1: you know, those emails, that's not probable cause or anything.
• 0:59
Speaker 1: There's nothing there to show the people of the UK
• 1:02
Speaker 1: that Prince Andrew was using his position to gain wealth
• 1:05
Speaker 1: and power. We didn't see any evidence of that, did we?
• 1:09
Speaker 1: Oh wait, there was a bunch of evidence of that?
• 1:12
Speaker 1: Got it. Never mind what Virginia told us. And listen,
• 1:15
Speaker 1: if he has evidence, let's see it. The same thing
• 1:18
Speaker 1: I say about all these people and anybody we talk about.
• 1:21
  Speaker 1: I don't have an axe to grind. I don't know
• 1:23
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew personally. I find his behavior irreprehensible. but I'm
• 1:29
Speaker 1: not just going to make stories up about the dude.
• 1:33
Speaker 1: So if he has some evidence that, you know, points
• 1:35
Speaker 1: to him not being involved in any of this, or
• 1:37
Speaker 1: that everybody is mistaken, let's see that evidence. But over
• 1:43
Speaker 1: the years, we've seen the opposite. We've seen a man
• 1:46
Speaker 1: that refuses to face reality. A man that refuses to
• 1:51
Speaker 1: stand by his word and do what he says he's
• 1:53
Speaker 1: going to do. And now, after he gets arrested... All
• 1:57
Speaker 1: of a sudden he wants to launch legal action against
• 2:00
Speaker 1: the police? Seems like a bold move, but maybe Andrew's
• 2:04
Speaker 1: team knows something we don't. He lodged the judicial review
• 2:07
Speaker 1: in connection with the search warrants that allowed police to
• 2:10
Speaker 1: raid his home on the Sandringham Estate and his former
• 2:13
Speaker 1: residence at Royal Lodge in Windsor. It's the first time
• 2:18
Speaker 1: a member of the royal family has challenged lawfulness of
• 2:21
Speaker 1: criminal proceedings against them since the trial of Charles I
• 2:24
Speaker 1: in 1649. Not exactly the kind of president you're looking
• 2:30
Speaker 1: to set as the Queen's son. Talk about an absolute embarrassment.
• 2:36
Speaker 1: And what does he think is going to come of this?
• 2:38
Speaker 1: Does he think he's going to like sway public sentiment
• 2:41
Speaker 1: or something? Because that's not going to happen unless he
• 2:44
Speaker 1: has some kind of bombshell evidence that none of us
• 2:47
Speaker 1: have seen before. But you would think if he had
• 2:51
Speaker 1: any evidence whatsoever, he would have presented that already. You know,
• 2:55
Speaker 1: instead of settling everything For $ 17 million, the former prince
• 2:59
Speaker 1: was arrested in February at Marsh Farm in Norfolk on
• 3:03
Speaker 1: his 66th birthday. After being driven to Alsham Police Station
• 3:08
Speaker 1: about 40 miles away, he was questioned for almost 12
• 3:11
Speaker 1: hours on suspicion of misconduct in public office before eventually
• 3:16
Speaker 1: being released under investigation. And we really haven't had too
• 3:19
Speaker 1: many updates on that investigation, have we? Now, we've had
• 3:23
Speaker 1: a couple of, you know, little tidbits, but nothing of substance.
• 3:28
Speaker 1: So it would be nice if we'd get an update
• 3:30
Speaker 1: on that. But now with these new proceedings, that's probably
• 3:33
Speaker 1: not going to occur. So we're all going to be
• 3:36
Speaker 1: in the dark. A photograph taken as he was driving
• 3:41
Speaker 1: away from the police station showed him looking shell-shocked and exhausted. Well, look,
• 3:46
Speaker 1: all things considered, you can't blame him for looking like that, right?
• 3:50
Speaker 1: Get arrested on your birthday? Sitting around in your chonies?
• 3:55
Speaker 1: Got the police come and kick in your door talking
• 3:57
Speaker 1: about We're arresting you for your behavior with Jeffrey Epstein. Oh,
• 4:01
Speaker 1: and by the way, we're also busting you for giving
• 4:05
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein state secrets. Happy birthday, Prince Andrew. So yeah,
• 4:09
Speaker 1: I could see why he'd be a little bit disheveled
• 4:11
Speaker 1: in that photo, right? I think any of us would be.
• 4:17
Speaker 1: Detectives also spent days searching Marsh Farm and Royal Lodge,
• 4:20
Speaker 1: removing documents and other items as part of the investigation.
• 4:24
Speaker 1: And again, We just don't know enough about what was found,
• 4:27
Speaker 1: if anything, to really dive in deep to that end
• 4:31
Speaker 1: of the pool. So we're just going off of speculation
• 4:34
Speaker 1: and what we've heard. And that really falls in line
• 4:37
Speaker 1: with what we've heard from the authorities over in the UK.
• 4:40
Speaker 1: They said that this was an investigation that was, you know,
• 4:44
Speaker 1: slowly making progress and continually growing. So it makes a
• 4:50
Speaker 1: lot of sense that we really haven't heard anything. And
• 4:53
Speaker 1: considering the nature of what we're talking about I doubt
• 4:55
Speaker 1: we will. But it's understood his legal team is keen
• 4:59
Speaker 1: to examine whether the search warrant granted by an Old
• 5:02
Speaker 1: Bailey judge following an application from Thames Valley Police were lawful.
• 5:07
Speaker 1: Loopholes and technicalities. Not that I'm innocent, but did you
• 5:11
Speaker 1: follow all the rules? And look, I get it. Procedure
• 5:14
Speaker 1: is important. And if the state is going to go
• 5:18
Speaker 1: after somebody, especially somebody like Andrew, they better have their
• 5:22
Speaker 1: ducks in a row. So I have no beef with that.
• 5:25
Speaker 1: but I'm not going to sit here and bullshit you
• 5:27
Speaker 1: and act like loopholes and technicalities aren't a huge part
• 5:31
Speaker 1: of what these rich people do when they're navigating the
• 5:33
Speaker 1: legal system. They have all the money in the world,
• 5:38
Speaker 1: and that means their lawyers have all the time in
• 5:40
Speaker 1: the world, so they're going to look for any weak spot,
• 5:43
Speaker 1: whether that's procedural or otherwise. Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor asked for permission
• 5:49
Speaker 1: to judicially review the decision earlier this year And his
• 5:53
Speaker 1: application was subsequently granted by a high court judge. Well,
• 5:57
  Speaker 1: that's a good first step. Like I said, let's get
• 6:00
Speaker 1: to the truth. Enough BSing around. And as far as
• 6:04
Speaker 1: the US goes, they should just give up the documents
• 6:06
Speaker 1: that the UK is looking for and give them up now.
• 6:10
Speaker 1: Why are we waiting? Why are you protecting Prince Andrew?
• 6:14
Speaker 1: And if he has nothing to worry about, then it
• 6:16
Speaker 1: shouldn't be a big deal, right? Release the documents and
• 6:20
Speaker 1: let the chips fall. where the chips are going to fall.
• 6:23
Speaker 1: The Telegraph has learned that there is to be a
• 6:25
Speaker 1: private hearing at the High Court later this week to
• 6:28
Speaker 1: determine whether to release certain court documents relating to the
• 6:31
Speaker 1: judicial review. Well, I hope they release those publicly, but
• 6:36
Speaker 1: I highly doubt it. Probably just going to release them
• 6:39
Speaker 1: to Andrew's team, right? Let them go over it, see
• 6:42
Speaker 1: what's what, and go from there. And look, I don't
• 6:45
Speaker 1: know what the discovery rules are like over in the UK.
• 6:49
Speaker 1: I'm sure that they have them. but I'm just not
• 6:51
Speaker 1: hip enough with the law to sit here and dive
• 6:53
Speaker 1: deep into it. And I don't want to give you
• 6:56
Speaker 1: guys the wrong impression, but I'm sure they have some
• 6:59
Speaker 1: sort of discovery process over there where both sides have
• 7:02
Speaker 1: to give over information, right? That would seem to be
• 7:05
Speaker 1: the proper course of action. So I'm guessing that there's
• 7:10
Speaker 1: been some sort of sharing of information already. Now, how
• 7:14
Speaker 1: much of that ends up going public? We'll have to
• 7:16
Speaker 1: wait and see. Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor's arrest followed the publication of
• 7:20
Speaker 1: material in the Epstein file suggesting he may have shared
• 7:23
Speaker 1: sensitive information with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein when
• 7:28
Speaker 1: he was the UK's trade envoy between 2001 and 2011.
• 7:32
Speaker 1: And I think that's what's going to end up sinking
• 7:35
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew, if anything does. Because I doubt he's ever
• 7:39
Speaker 1: going to be held accountable for what happened with Virginia.
• 7:43
Speaker 1: And I think a lot of people need to wrap
• 7:45
Speaker 1: their minds around the fact that the vast majority of
• 7:47
Speaker 1: these people... aren't going to be held accountable... for the
• 7:50
Speaker 1: most heinous crime. And I've brought the example up before...
• 7:53
Speaker 1: but I'll bring it up again. It's like Al Capone.
• 7:57
Speaker 1: Of course they wanted to get Al Capone... on murder.
• 7:59
Speaker 1: Wanted to get him... on, you know, all the other charges.
• 8:02
Speaker 1: But they settled for tax evasion. And at the end
• 8:05
Speaker 1: of the day... putting somebody behind bars... if they did
• 8:09
Speaker 1: something wrong... and something criminal... is what we should be doing.
• 8:14
Speaker 1: And if somebody like Andrew... who has been credibly accused
• 8:17
Speaker 1: of taking part in the abuse, well, that opens the door, right?
• 8:21
Speaker 1: So the allegations are there. People start digging deeper and
• 8:24
Speaker 1: they find other crimes or other alleged crimes like him
• 8:28
Speaker 1: passing information to Jeffrey Epstein. But this door was opened
• 8:32
Speaker 1: by the allegations made by Virginia. But that doesn't mean
• 8:36
Speaker 1: that you're going to end up getting somebody like Andrew
• 8:39
Speaker 1: on those charges. And that's when the legal game begins.
• 8:43
Speaker 1: What else can we get him on? Okay, so We
• 8:46
Speaker 1: have a good feeling and we're pretty confident that he
• 8:49
Speaker 1: did this, but we can't tag this charge on him
• 8:53
Speaker 1: for X, Y, and Z reason. However, have you taken
• 8:56
Speaker 1: a look at his bank account? And that's the kind
• 8:58
Speaker 1: of shit investigators do on a regular basis. And once
• 9:02
Speaker 1: they open the door, they're walking all the way through,
• 9:05
Speaker 1: at least under normal circumstances. When we're talking about Jeffrey
• 9:09
Speaker 1: Epstein and Epstein's friends, it has not been the case.
• 9:17
Speaker 1: It's been alleged that Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor forwarded reports to Epstein
• 9:20
Speaker 1: about visits that he made to Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam,
• 9:24
Speaker 1: and China, and allegedly sent him a confidential briefing note
• 9:27
Speaker 1: on investment opportunities in Afghanistan's Helmand Province. Wait a minute, Mr.
• 9:32
Speaker 1: Mossad Jeffrey Epstein? What's he doing over in the Helmand Province? Oh,
• 9:36
Speaker 1: that's right. He wasn't Mossad. Jeffrey Epstein was the biggest
• 9:42
Speaker 1: Me First motherfucker in the history of the world. All
• 9:46
Speaker 1: this dude cared about was more money, more power, collection
• 9:50
Speaker 1: of more information. That's it. Nothing else. Not state, not religion,
• 9:55
Speaker 1: and certainly not friendship. Everything was transactional with Jeffrey. Epstein.
• 10:00
Speaker 1: And if you think something like ideology or religion was
• 10:04
Speaker 1: ever going to hold Jeffrey Epstein back from doing what
• 10:06
Speaker 1: he wanted to do, you have not been paying attention.
• 10:11
Speaker 1: He's being investigated on suspicion of misconduct in public office,
• 10:14
Speaker 1: a notoriously complex common law offense that covers public officials
• 10:19
Speaker 1: who abuse their power for some sort of advantage. So
• 10:22
Speaker 1: they're going to have to prove what advantage Prince Andrew got.
• 10:25
Speaker 1: Did he get paid? Did he make some money one
• 10:28
Speaker 1: way or the other? How did he benefit? But there
• 10:32
Speaker 1: are claims the police investigation is in grave difficulty after
• 10:36
Speaker 1: the U.S. Department of Justice refused to hand over the
• 10:39
Speaker 1: unredacted versions of the Epstein files. So the cynic in
• 10:43
Speaker 1: me says, the U.S. Justice Department reaches out to Andrew's
• 10:46
Speaker 1: people behind the scenes. and says, look, we're not going
• 10:49
Speaker 1: to hand over these documents. You do with that what
• 10:52
Speaker 1: you will. And then Andrew goes on the offensive. Now look,
• 10:56
Speaker 1: that is me speculating. I don't know if that's true
• 10:58
Speaker 1: or not. But do you put it past these people? Unfortunately,
• 11:02
Speaker 1: I do not. So there's probably some willing and dealing
• 11:06
Speaker 1: going on behind the scenes. A formal letter of request
• 11:10
Speaker 1: for access to the relevant material could take more than
• 11:13
Speaker 1: a year to respond. With no guarantee, the U.S. authorities
• 11:16
Speaker 1: will comply. Meanwhile, friends of Mr. Mountbatten, Windsor, have said
• 11:21
Speaker 1: he feels he's living in limbo as he waits for
• 11:23
Speaker 1: the long-running investigation to conclude. Brother, even when the investigation concludes,
• 11:30
Speaker 1: you're wearing that scarlet letter. You might as well get
• 11:32
Speaker 1: on your magic carpet and ride your bitch ass to
• 11:35
Speaker 1: the Middle East. Because nobody wants you in the UK, bro. Nobody.
• 11:39
Speaker 1: And keep in mind, it's a bed that he made
• 11:41
Speaker 1: for himself. That disastrous BBC interview ruined everything for him.
• 11:50
Speaker 1: The former duke has effectively been in exile at Sandringham
• 11:53
Speaker 1: since his arrest, and earlier this year was allegedly chased
• 11:56
Speaker 1: and harassed by a man wearing a baklava while out
• 11:59
Speaker 1: walking his dogs. Why would somebody do that? Talk about
• 12:03
Speaker 1: being unhinged. Yeah, let me go and chase Prince Andrew
• 12:06
Speaker 1: around the neighborhood. That's going to end up well for you. Like,
• 12:10
Speaker 1: what are people thinking? And don't you know that's exactly
• 12:13
Speaker 1: what they want you to do? Be an unhinged lunatic?
• 12:17
Speaker 1: What they don't want you to do is think clearly.
• 12:20
Speaker 1: What they don't want you to do is leave your
• 12:22
Speaker 1: echo chamber. What they don't want you to do is
• 12:24
Speaker 1: stop fighting with your neighbor and start looking for common ground.
• 12:29
Speaker 1: Because they know when that happens, and the pitchforks and
• 12:31
Speaker 1: torches get together, that's when the castle gets stormed. You know,
• 12:35
Speaker 1: like in Frankenstein? That same kind of shit. And that's
• 12:39
Speaker 1: why they work so hard to keep people divided. And unfortunately,
• 12:42
Speaker 1: a lot of people keep falling for the same trick
• 12:45
Speaker 1: over and over again. In May, Thames Valley Police announced
• 12:49
Speaker 1: the investigation would also look at allegations of sexual misconduct
• 12:53
Speaker 1: and appeal for anyone with information to come forward. But
• 12:57
Speaker 1: this was interpreted by some as a sign of desperation
• 13:01
Speaker 1: by senior officers at the force, worried they had overplayed
• 13:04
Speaker 1: their hand by arresting the king's younger brother. And there
• 13:07
Speaker 1: might be some truth to that. If they made their
• 13:10
Speaker 1: move without having the right amount of evidence, then yeah,
• 13:14
Speaker 1: it's a big problem. But I would have to think
• 13:17
Speaker 1: that they had their ducks in a row before they
• 13:19
Speaker 1: moved on Andrew. They knew that this was going to
• 13:23
Speaker 1: be a political firestorm, and they knew what was going
• 13:25
Speaker 1: to come in the aftermath. So I have to believe
• 13:29
Speaker 1: that they have the goods, at least enough to get
• 13:32
Speaker 1: that door opened. He's the most senior member of the
• 13:37
Speaker 1: royal family to be arrested in modern times, an unprecedented
• 13:40
Speaker 1: development for the House of Windsor. One senior metropolitan police
• 13:45
Speaker 1: source has since expressed surprise at the arrest, questioning why
• 13:49
Speaker 1: Thames Valley Police did not simply invite him in, for
• 13:52
Speaker 1: questioning under caution. He told the Telegraph, I'm not sure
• 13:56
Speaker 1: if the Met had been leading this investigation, they would
• 13:58
Speaker 1: have taken the same approach, while the Mets protected Andrew
• 14:02
Speaker 1: every step of the way. How many investigations have they closed?
• 14:07
Speaker 1: We all know that Scotland Yard is directly in the
• 14:09
Speaker 1: pocket of the Crown. Stop it. Allies have long suspected
• 14:15
Speaker 1: the decision to arrest him at his own home, and
• 14:17
Speaker 1: on that particular date, was orchestrated by to cause maximum humiliation, well,
• 14:22
Speaker 1: he deserves that too. And frankly, how much more humiliation
• 14:27
Speaker 1: can be heaped on this dude? He's an absolute disgrace.
• 14:33
Speaker 1: Buckingham Palace has insisted the monarch did not receive any
• 14:36
Speaker 1: warning of his arrest. At the time, the king issued
• 14:39
Speaker 1: a written statement saying the law must take its course
• 14:42
Speaker 1: and expressing his deepest concern about the allegations. What now
• 14:46
Speaker 1: follows is the full, fair, and proper process by which
• 14:49
Speaker 1: this issue was investigated in the appropriate manner and by
• 14:53
Speaker 1: the appropriate authorities, he said. Since then, Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor is
• 14:58
Speaker 1: understood to have had no contact with the king, although
• 15:01
Speaker 1: his two other siblings, Princess Royal and Duke of Edinburgh,
• 15:05
Speaker 1: have been supportive. Well, whatever they want to do behind
• 15:08
Speaker 1: the scenes, great, it's their family member. I don't have
• 15:10
Speaker 1: any beef with that. My beef is this dude being
• 15:13
Speaker 1: in the public eye. You want to hang out with
• 15:15
Speaker 1: your family behind the scenes and play some Jenga? Go
• 15:18
Speaker 1: for it. The release in February of millions of documents
• 15:22
Speaker 1: gathered during investigations into Epstein exposed the former Duke to
• 15:25
Speaker 1: allegations that he used his role as UK trade envoy
• 15:29
Speaker 1: to share confidential information with the pedophile and others. Well,
• 15:34
Speaker 1: that all tracks. And the emails sure seem to line
• 15:37
Speaker 1: up with that allegation. So I feel like there is
• 15:41
Speaker 1: a lot of smoke there and there's probably a lot
• 15:44
Speaker 1: of fire and there's probably other people that he was
• 15:46
Speaker 1: handing off this information to. Lord Mandelson was also arrested
• 15:52
Speaker 1: that month amid claims that while working as a government minister,
• 15:56
Speaker 1: he had passed documents to Epstein. The former cabinet minister,
• 15:59
Speaker 1: who was sacked as the British ambassador to Washington in September,
• 16:03
Speaker 1: resigned from the Labour Party and quit the House of
• 16:05
Speaker 1: Lords after the files appeared to show that he had
• 16:08
Speaker 1: leaked market-sensitive information while a minister under Gordon Brown. The
• 16:14
Speaker 1: resulting scandal helped end Sir Akira Starmer's premiership. Lord Mandelson
• 16:19
Speaker 1: has never been charged and denies any wrongdoing. Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor
• 16:25
Speaker 1: alleged in his infamous Newsnight interview in 2019 that he
• 16:28
Speaker 1: last saw Epstein in early December 2010 to tell him
• 16:32
Speaker 1: that he was breaking off their friendship. Yeah, sure, buddy.
• 16:36
Speaker 1: Let me fly across the Atlantic to tell you that
• 16:38
Speaker 1: I can't be your friend anymore. But first, can I
• 16:40
Speaker 1: stay the night on your couch? Who believes that bullshit? However,
• 16:46
Speaker 1: emails released by the U.S. Department of Justice showed that
• 16:49
Speaker 1: on Christmas Eve that year, he messaged Epstein and sent
• 16:52
Speaker 1: him a confidential briefing about investment opportunities in Afghanistan's Helmand province,
• 16:58
Speaker 1: where reconstruction was being funded by the U.K. government. Can
• 17:02
Speaker 1: you imagine the grift and the graft and the amount
• 17:05
Speaker 1: of thievery that occurred? And not just by Andrew. Can
• 17:10
Speaker 1: you imagine by all the contractors that were in Afghanistan,
• 17:13
Speaker 1: in Iraq, You want to talk about fraud? Boy, I
• 17:18
Speaker 1: can only imagine. In October 2010, he forwarded official reports

Speaker 1: of his visit to Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen

Speaker 1: in China, written by Amit Patel, his then special assistant.
• 17:32
Speaker 1: The reports were sent to Epstein by Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor just
• 17:36
Speaker 1: five minutes after he received them from Mr. Patel. Does
• 17:39
Speaker 1: that sound like somebody that is not in the pocket
• 17:42
Speaker 1: of Epstein? So I owe you now, Jeffery. Here's this
• 17:46
Speaker 1: confidential information. Do with it as you will. Oh, and
• 17:50
Speaker 1: by the way, my piece of my half is about 5%.
• 17:56
Speaker 1: It emerged that the then Duke of York and Epstein
• 17:58
Speaker 1: planned to launch a business together in China years after
• 18:01
Speaker 1: Epstein was convicted of child sex offense and while Mr.
• 18:04
Speaker 1: Mountbatten-Windsor was still a trade envoy. I knew nothing about
• 18:08
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein or his behavior. I'm the Prince of England.
• 18:13
Speaker 1: Business discussions between the pair were conducted through David Stern,
• 18:16
Speaker 1: a liaison apparently continued for more than five years after
• 18:21
Speaker 1: Epstein was released from prison. Mr. Stern, an aide to Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor,
• 18:26
Speaker 1: first floated the business venture to Epstein in an email
• 18:29
Speaker 1: on July 24, 2010, when the pedophile was still under
• 18:33
Speaker 1: house arrest, if you want to call it that. House arrest, sure. Mr.
• 18:39
Speaker 1: Mountbatten-Windsor also appears to have shared An internal government memo
• 18:43
Speaker 1: about the Icelandic financial crisis with Jonathan Rowland, his close friend,
• 18:48
Speaker 1: and former chief executive of Bank Haviland, a bank that
• 18:51
Speaker 1: had bought assets from a failed Icelandic lender a year earlier.
• 18:55
Speaker 1: Insider trading much? Out here living his life like fucking
• 19:00
Speaker 1: Gordon Gekko. But of course, there is never, ever any
• 19:03
Speaker 1: repercussions for people like Andrew. And when you say that
• 19:06
Speaker 1: there's going to be, and you bring a case against him, well,
• 19:09
Speaker 1: now he's taking the police to court. because of course
• 19:12
Speaker 1: he is. It follows a separate high-profile court case earlier
• 19:17
Speaker 1: this year involving the Duke of Sussex, who sued the
• 19:20
Speaker 1: Daily Mail publisher Associated Newspapers over allegations of phone hacking.
• 19:25
Speaker 1: A judge found against the Duke and his fellow claimants
• 19:29
Speaker 1: on all of the allegations. Boy, the Crown sure is
• 19:32
Speaker 1: busy doing everything they can, but helping the people of England.
• 19:38
Speaker 1: And at some point, I think the monarchy... is due
• 19:41
  Speaker 1: for a big shake-up. And I don't think that King
• 19:44
Speaker 1: Charles is the guy to usher in this new era.
• 19:48
Speaker 1: I mean, they were barely hanging on with the queen.
• 19:50
Speaker 1: but now you have King Charles, Jimmy Savile's best buddy
• 19:54
Speaker 1: as the king. Yeah, I don't think that's going to
• 19:56
Speaker 1: work out in the long run. And I know that
• 19:58
Speaker 1: the royal family is an institution in the UK and
• 20:02
Speaker 1: they have a lot of support, but that support has
• 20:05
Speaker 1: been waning. And I think as we move forward, and
• 20:08
Speaker 1: not just because of this issue, by the way, But
• 20:10
Speaker 1: because of a whole host of things, I think that
• 20:13
Speaker 1: you're going to see the monarchy continue to get pared down,
• 20:16
Speaker 1: just like we've seen with other monarchies across Europe. And
• 20:20
Speaker 1: while I don't think that the Prince Andrew situation is the,
• 20:23
Speaker 1: you know, straw that broke the camel's back, it's certainly
• 20:25
Speaker 1: not helping. So it's going to be interesting to see
• 20:29
Speaker 1: where this all ends up and what happens with this investigation.
• 20:32
Speaker 1: And now with Andrew's lawsuit. So I'll keep my ear
• 20:36
Speaker 1: to the ground. And when we get some more information,
• 20:38
Speaker 1: we'll get it added. to the catalog. All the information
• 20:41
Speaker 1: that goes with this episode can be found in the
