- 0:00Speaker 1: This is 710WOR, where the Mark Simone Show starts now!
- 0:08Speaker 2: Oh my god, I can't believe it's Monday. Hey, it's Monday!
- 0:12Speaker 2: Welcome to the show. We've got a great show for
- 0:14Speaker 2: you today. Lots to get to today. Now, this coming weekend,
- 0:21Speaker 2: there's a lot going on this weekend. Now, it's Halloween,
- 0:25Speaker 2: Saturday night. Sunday morning, it's the New York Marathon that's
- 0:29Speaker 2: going to screw up all the traffic all over New York.
- 0:33Speaker 2: And then Sunday night. Oh, no, wait a minute. It's
- 0:36Speaker 2: Saturday night. Saturday night, Sunday morning is when we go
- 0:40Speaker 2: off daylight saving time. So Sunday is going to be bad.
- 0:45Speaker 2: It's going to be dark out like at 430, 445,
- 0:49Speaker 2: 5 o'clock maybe. So it's a big weekend. You got Halloween.
- 0:54Speaker 2: As soon as you get home. You'll get an extra
- 0:57Speaker 2: hour because you set your clock back. And then you'll
- 1:00Speaker 2: wake up Sunday morning. New York City Marathon will be
- 1:02Speaker 2: all over the place in all five boroughs. So don't
- 1:07Speaker 2: think of driving into New York on Sunday. But a
- 1:10Speaker 2: lot happening in between now and the weekend. You got
- 1:13Speaker 2: elections in Israel tomorrow. Too close to call. Netanyahu, who
- 1:20Speaker 2: knows what could happen. He's up for reelection tomorrow. And
- 1:24Speaker 2: then our election, midterm election, the gubernatorial election, eight days
- 1:29Speaker 2: from now, eight days from now, it's very close. Blakeman, Hochul,
- 1:33Speaker 2: it's deadlocked. It's tied. This will all be about turnout.
- 1:38Speaker 2: If Republicans turn out, if you like Blakeman and everybody
- 1:41Speaker 2: here does, you got to turn out. You got to vote.
- 1:44Speaker 2: And you know what? Do it today or tomorrow. Do
- 1:47Speaker 2: early voting. One thing about Democrats, they're great at early voting.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Democrats come out in Huge numbers to early vote. For
- 1:56Speaker 2: whatever reason, Republicans are still in the habit of waiting
- 1:59Speaker 2: until Election Day. Early vote. It's much easier. If you
- 2:03Speaker 2: do the early voting, when you get there, there won't
- 2:05Speaker 2: be a line. You'll just sail right through. Early voting.
- 2:08Speaker 2: A lot of people did it Saturday. You can do
- 2:10Speaker 2: it all week long. Any day this week, do the
- 2:13Speaker 2: early voting. Again, it's all about turnout. When you say, well,
- 2:17Speaker 2: a Republican can't win. Yeah, a Republican can win easily
- 2:20Speaker 2: if you turn out. If there's turnout. The final week.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Of the election, there's going to be a lot of
- 2:28Speaker 2: things going on. Bruce Blakeman now spending $ 400, 000 a day.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Campaign getting very serious. Hochul running around all over the
- 2:38Speaker 2: place to rally with Mamdani. Blakeman pointing out, I would
- 2:43Speaker 2: love to, she just appeared with Mamdani every day. Just
- 2:47Speaker 2: link yourself more and more to Mamdani. Blakeman will be,
- 2:50Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman will be with us later in the show.
- 2:53Speaker 2: But go vote for him. Do it now. Do it
- 2:55Speaker 2: in the early voting. Don't wait until Election Day. And
- 2:59Speaker 2: don't forget this Attorney General's race. You've got this crazy,
- 3:02Speaker 2: awful Attorney General, Letitia James, who Hochul assigns her to
- 3:07Speaker 2: the Cornell case, which makes no sense at all. Letitia
- 3:11Speaker 2: James has no experience as a prosecutor. She's never handled
- 3:16Speaker 2: a criminal case. She did go to law school, but
- 3:20Speaker 2: her whole career before attorney general was cheap politics. She
- 3:23Speaker 2: was on the city council. She was the public advocate
- 3:26Speaker 2: in New York City. That's basically a no-show job. So
- 3:28Speaker 2: she's got no experience prosecuting anything. And she has finally
- 3:34Speaker 2: realized she can't handle a case like this. So she's
- 3:37Speaker 2: looking for a prosecutor. She can't do it. She knows
- 3:40Speaker 2: she's not qualified or competent. So they've narrowed it down
- 3:44Speaker 2: to a couple of choices. They'll hire a professional prosecutor.
- 3:47Speaker 2: prosecutor to run the Cornell case for the state of
- 3:51Speaker 2: New York. So a lot of stuff going on campaign-wise
- 3:56Speaker 2: all weekend. President Trump out there campaigning, working a brutal schedule.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Every day he flies to another state. Every afternoon he
- 4:07Speaker 2: gets on an airplane and flies to another state. I'm
- 4:11Speaker 2: looking for today's schedule. I forget where he's going. I
- 4:14Speaker 2: can't even keep track of it. I can't even remember
- 4:15Speaker 2: where he's going. Let's see later today. Mississippi. He's going
- 4:21Speaker 2: to Mississippi later today. The weekend, he was in Florida.
- 4:25Speaker 2: He was in Georgia. He was in three or four states.
- 4:28Speaker 2: I can't even remember them all, but it's a brutal schedule. Michigan,
- 4:32Speaker 2: El Sayad, Ohio. You got to remember something. These fake polls,
- 4:38Speaker 2: the media polls, the college polls, they're all fake polls.
- 4:42Speaker 2: And they have one mission, and that's to keep Republicans home.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Make sure they don't go out. Discourage them. Make them
- 4:49Speaker 2: feel like the election's over. There's no point in voting.
- 4:51Speaker 2: They're called suppression polls. That's why they do it. So
- 4:58Speaker 2: when you keep hearing, Blakeman has no chance. He's 20
- 5:02Speaker 2: points behind. It's supposed to make you stay home. The
- 5:05Speaker 2: fact is, in the real polls, Blakeman and Hochul are deadlocked.
- 5:08Speaker 2: They're tied. So get out there and vote. You can
- 5:11Speaker 2: make the difference. And these college polls are absolutely ridiculous. Quinnipiac,
- 5:16Speaker 2: that last poll they put out last week on Blakeman
- 5:18Speaker 2: and Hochul was so ridiculous. They had Republicans at 20%
- 5:22Speaker 2: of the sample. It was just a sample of Democrats.
- 5:25Speaker 2: And they didn't use voter rolls. Nobody knows who the
- 5:29Speaker 2: hell they surveyed. And Quinnipiac, as our friend Larry Kudlow
- 5:33Speaker 2: points out, Go study the whole history of Quinnipiac. They've
- 5:36Speaker 2: never had a Republican in the lead anywhere for anything
- 5:39Speaker 2: ever at Quinnipiac. It's the most biased, slanted, ridiculous suppression
- 5:44Speaker 2: poll ever. So ignore the polls. They don't mean anything.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Get out and vote. Michigan is a tough thing for Al-Sayed.
- 5:53Speaker 2: He is not too successful with the black voters. Black
- 5:57Speaker 2: voters are a huge part of the electorate in Michigan.
- 6:00Speaker 2: So if you happen to got any traction with them,
- 6:03Speaker 2: and you're a Democrat, you're in real trouble. Ohio, they
- 6:06Speaker 2: had everybody. Obama was in Ohio trying to rescue Sherrod
- 6:12Speaker 2: Brown and the other Democrat candidates. Now, Ramaswami is running
- 6:17Speaker 2: against Amy Acton. Ramaswami is the one that got Amy
- 6:22Speaker 2: Acton's mother to do a commercial denouncing her own daughter,
- 6:25Speaker 2: saying she's a liar, she's always lied, you can't trust her,
- 6:29Speaker 2: she can't even help herself, how's she going to help you?
- 6:31Speaker 2: So Democrats went crazy. This crossed the line. This is
- 6:35Speaker 2: out of bounds. This is inappropriate. Even these fake Sunday
- 6:39Speaker 2: shows yesterday on the networks, the fake Sunday shows, the
- 6:43Speaker 2: totally corrupt Meet the Press, Kirsten Welker. I'm just so
- 6:48Speaker 2: happy my old friend Tim Russert isn't alive to see
- 6:50Speaker 2: what they did to his show. So she does a
- 6:53Speaker 2: whole segment on how having a candidate's relative, using them
- 6:58Speaker 2: as a political pawn to denounce the candidate. is so inappropriate.
- 7:03Speaker 2: It crosses a line. She forgets. They did it on
- 7:06Speaker 2: Meet the Press. You remember Trump had that crazy cousin, niece,
- 7:09Speaker 2: what are the niece, Mary Trump? They had her on everywhere.
- 7:13Speaker 2: On Meet the Press, they had her on every NBC, everything.
- 7:17Speaker 2: MSNBC had her on 24-7. They had her on to
- 7:20Speaker 2: denounce Trump. Remember when RFK Jr. was running? They had
- 7:26Speaker 2: everybody in his family, the whole Kennedy family, would record
- 7:28Speaker 2: commercials denouncing him. So this is a Democrat tactic. They've
- 7:32Speaker 2: used it constantly. But this is the double standard Democrats
- 7:39Speaker 2: are famous for. So Ramaswamy had to respond to all this.
- 7:42Speaker 1: These people are lying to you, but I trust you
- 7:44Speaker 1: to see through it. We ran an ad about Trump.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Lying.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Amy Acton is lying. She has been lying this entire
- 7:53Speaker 1: campaign about me, about her record, about her history in
- 7:57Speaker 1: this state. The irony is they're lying about an ad
- 8:01Speaker 1: that is about lying. That is the truth of the matter.
- 8:05Speaker 1: It had nothing to do with childhood abuse, which I
- 8:08Speaker 1: will be the number one governor to prosecute when I
- 8:10Speaker 1: am the governor of this state because it is wrong,
- 8:12Speaker 1: and we together will fight against that.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Yeah, his whole campaign is that Amy Acton is lying,
- 8:17Speaker 2: that she's lying about this, lying about she's always lying.
- 8:19Speaker 2: So if you can get her mother and they didn't,
- 8:23Speaker 2: you know, know about the mother until the mother started
- 8:26Speaker 2: doing public appearances, speaking about how much her daughter is
- 8:30Speaker 2: a liar. So that's when they asked her to do
- 8:31Speaker 2: the commercial. But it's a tactic that Democrats have used many, many, many,
- 8:36Speaker 2: many times. In fact, when Trump had a relative denouncing him,
- 8:40Speaker 2: they put her all over television. They put her in ads.
- 8:42Speaker 2: They put her on interviews. They put her on every show.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Rachel Maddow would do a whole hour with her. So
- 8:48Speaker 2: it's their tactic, and all of a sudden it's wrong.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Obama was all over the place campaigning like crazy. You
- 8:56Speaker 2: could see he's a great speaker. He's a great orator,
- 9:00Speaker 2: one of the best in America. So you could see
- 9:02Speaker 2: he felt cooped up. You know, a guy that's that
- 9:05Speaker 2: good at that wants to get out there. It's like
- 9:08Speaker 2: a racehorse. He can't just sit in a stable. He's
- 9:10Speaker 2: got to go out there and run, and that's Obama.
- 9:12Speaker 2: You could see he was dying to get back out
- 9:13Speaker 2: on the, campaign trail that's what you.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Get a chance to do in 10 days after two
- 9:19Speaker 3: years of chaos and cruelty and corruption.
- 9:28Speaker 2: By the way you notice uh when obama normally speaks
- 9:31Speaker 2: he's a highly educated ivy league guy normally sounds like
- 9:33Speaker 2: demosthenes but uh When he's speaking in the Midwest, all
- 9:37Speaker 2: of a sudden he's got this Midwest Southern kind of accent.
- 9:41Speaker 2: All of a sudden he loses the Ivy League sound. Confidence.
- 9:46Speaker 3: The likes of which we have not seen in modern times.
- 9:50Speaker 3: You get a chance to say enough's enough.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Yeah. All right. Now, he had some good moments. He
- 9:57Speaker 2: had some good moments. This wasn't bad. Take a listen.
- 10:00Speaker 3: To this. What's up with the gold?
- 10:04Speaker 2: Oh, we're missing the first part. This was pretty good.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Whoever wrote this for him, he said, he'd gone through
- 10:11Speaker 2: a litany of what President Trump is wrong about on
- 10:13Speaker 2: the issues. And then he said, I don't think he's focused.
- 10:16Speaker 2: He seems to spend all his time on home renovations.
- 10:20Speaker 2: He should be on Home and Garden television. All right,
- 10:24Speaker 2: that wasn't bad. He's building a ballroom. He's building a
- 10:27Speaker 2: rose garden. He's building now a helipad. He forgot to
- 10:31Speaker 2: mention the ballroom is badly needed. Many presidents have talked
- 10:35Speaker 2: about that. They don't have a room where they can
- 10:37Speaker 2: throw a big event at the White House. In the past,
- 10:40Speaker 2: they've had to set up a tent out on the lawn.
- 10:44Speaker 2: So world leaders who are, their events are in, palaces.
- 10:48Speaker 2: World leaders would come here for a major event at
- 10:50Speaker 2: the White House, and they'd be sitting on the grass
- 10:53Speaker 2: in a tent like it was a bar mitzvah out
- 10:56Speaker 2: in Long Island. And the helipad was badly needed. You know,
- 11:02Speaker 2: Trump's a great builder. So as he's in the White House,
- 11:04Speaker 2: he's watching all the crap that goes on there. Do
- 11:08Speaker 2: you know when that helicopter would land? It's not a
- 11:10Speaker 2: regular helicopter. It's an enormous, extremely heavy military helicopter with
- 11:16Speaker 2: these military engines that produce a tremendous amount of heat.
- 11:19Speaker 2: They would just burn the grass right up and crush
- 11:22Speaker 2: the grass when it landed. So what they would do is, uh,
- 11:26Speaker 2: you ever noticed when the, that Marine one comes down,
- 11:29Speaker 2: it doesn't come right down smoothly. It jerks around a little. Well,
- 11:32Speaker 2: that was because what they had to do is put
- 11:35Speaker 2: these big steel plates out on the lawn for them,
- 11:38Speaker 2: one for each wheel. And then the, uh, so it
- 11:42Speaker 2: wouldn't tear up the grass and destroy the grass. So
- 11:44Speaker 2: the helicopter had to aim carefully and move around, jerk
- 11:47Speaker 2: around a little to hit those plates. And Trump looked
- 11:49Speaker 2: at this as crazy. Build a helipad. So he built
- 11:53Speaker 2: a big, huge granite helipad. And the Rose Garden, the
- 11:57Speaker 2: same thing. It was on grass. They'd have these events
- 12:02Speaker 2: all the time in the Rose Garden. Sometimes it rained.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Sometimes it was muddy. And then, Every time after the event,
- 12:09Speaker 2: 200 people trampled on the grass, it was a mess afterwards.
- 12:13Speaker 2: So he put a beautiful, beautiful stone out there. It's
- 12:17Speaker 2: a beautiful deck. So it was all great. Obama's totally wrong.
- 12:24Speaker 2: On this part coming up, he might not be wrong
- 12:26Speaker 2: about this. The way he redecorated the Oval Office, it
- 12:30Speaker 2: is a little crazy. It's nice to put a few
- 12:34Speaker 2: more paintings up, but not 250 paintings on the wall.
- 12:36Speaker 2: It's And the gold trim was a very good idea,
- 12:41Speaker 2: but not every inch of every wall. It's a little Liberace-ish,
- 12:44Speaker 2: so Obama may have been right here. What's up with
- 12:48Speaker 2: the gold?
- 12:52Speaker 3: I mean, he's got the wife looking like Saddam Hussein
- 12:56Speaker 3: opened a cheesecake factory.
- 12:58Speaker 2: It's just gold everywhere. Okay, that was good, except it
- 13:04Speaker 2: caused him two problems. Obama now has two problems. One,
- 13:09Speaker 2: Everybody pointing out online that he is no position to
- 13:12Speaker 2: talk about Trump's decorating skill because he, Obama, is the
- 13:16Speaker 2: guy that just built the single ugliest building in the
- 13:20Speaker 2: history of America, Obama's presidential library, considered literally the ugliest
- 13:27Speaker 2: building ever built. There are neighbors who live near that
- 13:30Speaker 2: park who are suing because it's such an eyesore. So
- 13:35Speaker 2: that's problem number one. Problem number two, when he said
- 13:41Speaker 2: it looks like Saddam Hussein built a cheesecake factory, a
- 13:46Speaker 2: lot of people, especially in the Midwest, they took that
- 13:48Speaker 2: the wrong way. He's demeaning the cheesecake factory like it's
- 13:55Speaker 2: some junky little place. It's a tacky place. Well, to
- 13:59Speaker 2: people outside of the elite D.C., Manhattan circles, Cheesecake Factory
- 14:05Speaker 2: is a wonderful place. It's not just even a regular place.
- 14:08Speaker 2: It's like a special place. A lot of people, it's
- 14:11Speaker 2: like something you save up for. It's like a big
- 14:13Speaker 2: event to go to the Cheesecake Factory. Obama, the elitist,
- 14:17Speaker 2: Ivy League elitist, wouldn't know that. So that has cost
- 14:21Speaker 2: him a little in the Midwest. But he went on
- 14:24Speaker 2: and on about the crowd.
- 14:26Speaker 3: People are so ready for something new. So hungry for
- 14:30Speaker 3: something better.
- 14:32Speaker 2: So sick and tired of being sick and.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Tired that everywhere you go, it feels like change is
- 14:38Speaker 3: in the air.
- 14:40Speaker 2: And Michigan, that's what I'm feeling right now.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:44Speaker 2: I see. Does that fake voice that I'm feeling y'all
- 14:47Speaker 2: I'm feeling, uh, you know, you think such a, you
- 14:51Speaker 2: got to talk to these people. Then, uh, he gets
- 14:53Speaker 2: back on the plane and says to the guys, what
- 14:55Speaker 2: a bunch of rubes down there. So, uh, we'll see
- 14:58Speaker 2: if it helped. We'll see if it helped. Uh, again, uh,
- 15:01Speaker 2: you need the black vote in Michigan. It's a huge
- 15:03Speaker 2: part of the population. And El Sayed is not successful
- 15:08Speaker 2: with the black vote. So that's one reason Obama was
- 15:10Speaker 2: there to see, but, but he didn't, I don't know
- 15:14Speaker 2: if he really helped because he just ran down everything
- 15:16Speaker 2: he hates about Trump. Instead of promoting El Sayed, he
- 15:20Speaker 2: was very careful not to promote El Sayed. And he
- 15:23Speaker 2: was very careful not to directly address black voters, which
- 15:26Speaker 2: is the whole reason he's there to get them out.
- 15:29Speaker 2: So I don't know how much good he did. I mean, he,
- 15:31Speaker 2: You can see he was enjoying himself. President Trump just
- 15:34Speaker 2: put out a truth social. I think the longest one
- 15:37Speaker 2: he's ever put out. It's 1,300 words. It's not a tweet.
- 15:42Speaker 2: It's like a magazine article. It's all denouncing Bill Maher. Now,
- 15:47Speaker 2: I don't know exactly why Bill Maher had his second
- 15:51Speaker 2: dinner at the White House. And then on his Friday
- 15:53Speaker 2: night show, he said some nice things about Trump. He said,
- 15:56Speaker 2: you know, when you get into the White House, he's
- 15:59Speaker 2: a really nice, gracious guy. You can say whatever you
- 16:02Speaker 2: want to him. He doesn't pull rank on you. He listens.
- 16:05Speaker 2: And they said it went on for a couple of hours.
- 16:08Speaker 2: You remember there was this old myth, Democrats kept pushing
- 16:10Speaker 2: this myth. He said, no, he doesn't listen. He never
- 16:12Speaker 2: listens to anybody. Well, you listen to Maher and Stephen A. Smith.
- 16:15Speaker 2: They said they talked to him for two, three hours,
- 16:17Speaker 2: and he listened very intently. But I don't know, something,
- 16:20Speaker 2: Trump didn't like some of the things Maher said on
- 16:24Speaker 2: Friday night. So I can't even read you this thing.
- 16:26Speaker 2: It's like way too long. It goes on. It's like pages,
- 16:29Speaker 2: this thing. Truth Social about how Maher's a loser, an idiot,
- 16:33Speaker 2: a loser with a very low-rated show. Well, that's true.
- 16:36Speaker 2: On a very low-rated network. Okay, well, that's true. HBO,
- 16:39Speaker 2: once great. Okay, that's true. There's a guy who's like
- 16:45Speaker 2: one of the showrunners who runs the Bill Maher show
- 16:48Speaker 2: behind the scenes. He had been on The Apprentice. In fact,
- 16:51Speaker 2: his work on The Apprentice, and Trump points out, The
- 16:54Speaker 2: Apprentice became a big number one show, so everybody on
- 16:57Speaker 2: the show went on to big careers. That's how this
- 17:00Speaker 2: guy got to be with Bill Maher. So he has
- 17:03Speaker 2: a relationship with Trump. Trump says, this is the guy
- 17:06Speaker 2: that kept calling and calling and calling, begging Trump to
- 17:09Speaker 2: have Bill Maher back, that Bill Maher wanted another dinner.
- 17:12Speaker 2: He was begging and begging. Now, this is Trump's version.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Who knows if it's really true? But then he said,
- 17:18Speaker 2: this part may not be wrong. He said, Maher's got
- 17:21Speaker 2: a lot of problems. He's a mess. He wanted a drink.
- 17:24Speaker 2: As soon as he got there, he walked around with
- 17:26Speaker 2: a drink the whole time. He looked a little drunk.
- 17:28Speaker 2: He's a pothead. He's not entirely wrong about this, but
- 17:36Speaker 2: he said, I learned nothing from him. It was a
- 17:37Speaker 2: total waste of time. It's just basically a long denouncement
- 17:41Speaker 2: of Bill Maher. I don't know what set this off.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Bill Maher had Caroline Leavitt, the press secretary, on Friday night,
- 17:47Speaker 2: who defended Trump. I guess Trump didn't like the fact
- 17:51Speaker 2: that Maher kept attacking him with her, and he kept
- 17:55Speaker 2: pushing all the Democratic myths There was this Democratic rumor
- 17:59Speaker 2: that he was going to tear out the press room
- 18:02Speaker 2: and bring the White House pool back. And he said
- 18:05Speaker 2: that was never, ever, ever, ever thought of, discussed. There
- 18:08Speaker 2: was never any thought of that. It's just a Democratic lie.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Why was he repeating it? Which makes sense. He does
- 18:13Speaker 2: want to move the press out of the main building
- 18:16Speaker 2: to another building. But he's not a big swimmer. In fact,
- 18:20Speaker 2: the number of times he's been swimming in his life
- 18:22Speaker 2: is zero. Zero.
- 18:26Speaker 3: So.
- 18:26Speaker 2: He's not a guy that's going to put a pool
- 18:28Speaker 2: in the middle of the White House. And nobody really
- 18:31Speaker 2: uses it there. If you had young kids, maybe, but
