- 0:00Speaker 1: Ah, it's time to make a love match. It's that
- 0:02Speaker 1: time of season. It is cuffing season. Let's help him out.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Dylan is on the line. Dylan and Meriden went on
- 0:08Speaker 1: a first date getting ghosted.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Good morning, Dylan.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Morning.
- 0:11Speaker 2: So, tell us about this great first date.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Uh, well, yeah. She's beautiful, first of all. And, um,
- 0:18Speaker 3: I'm still just like, can't believe how much fun I had.
- 0:21Speaker 3: We went out, you know, we met on dating app. And, uh,
- 0:26Speaker 3: you know, I took out to dinner and, um, We
- 0:31Speaker 3: went to this corn maze nearby. It was a good time.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:34Speaker 3: And I don't know. Conversation was really great. I didn't
- 0:39Speaker 3: feel like there was any breaks in the conversation.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Okay.
- 0:41Speaker 3: I just felt like there was a real connection there.
- 0:45Speaker 2: All right. So you went to, that's like a nice
- 0:46Speaker 2: fall date. Was it romantic? You're at a corn maze.
- 0:50Speaker 3: I thought it was really romantic.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Okay.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I can't, you know, it's one of those things where
- 0:55Speaker 3: obviously something happened. And I keep looking back, though, and
- 0:59Speaker 3: I'm like, I don't know. I can't think of anything.
- 1:01Speaker 2: All right, so you did the corn maze, you did dinner.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Did she have the proper footwear for said corn maze?
- 1:07Speaker 2: Oh, gee. Was that, like, sprung on her? Because I
- 1:12Speaker 2: know sometimes ladies get a little difficult.
- 1:15Speaker 3: That's a good question. It was sprung on her. But
- 1:17Speaker 3: she was wearing good footwear for this, so. Okay. All right. Yeah,
- 1:22Speaker 3: that wasn't the issue at all. Definitely not.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Did you drink too much at dinner?
- 1:28Speaker 3: Another good question. And I would say no. I went
- 1:31Speaker 3: down the whole list.
- 1:32Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:33Speaker 1: The fact that you've been racking your brain and you
- 1:34Speaker 1: can't even come up with one thing.
- 1:36Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Yeah.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I think we just need to call her and ask her.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Just be upfront and ask her.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Are you ready to find out?
- 1:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Let's just get right to it. I want to find
- 1:45Speaker 3: out what it is.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Sounds like a nice guy. I think I know the problem.
- 1:50Speaker 2: What's the problem? I think he talks a lot. Like
- 1:54Speaker 2: you were trying to talk and he kept cutting you
- 1:55Speaker 2: off and he's mansplaining. That's the worst. I hope that's
- 1:59Speaker 2: not it. Hello? Hi, is Victoria there?
- 2:02Speaker 4: This is she. May I ask who's calling?
- 2:05Speaker 2: Yep, this is Courtney. Hey, Victoria, it's Walmart Jeff. Hey, Victoria,
- 2:09Speaker 2: it's Savannah. I'm here too. We're calling from Kiss 95.7.
- 2:11Speaker 2: You're on the radio.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Stop it.
- 2:18Speaker 2: What's up? Good morning. Well, listen, Victoria, the reason we're calling.
- 2:24Speaker 1: You, obviously, you listen to the show, so you probably
- 2:27Speaker 1: are very aware.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Of a second date update. You are on second date update. Okay,
- 2:35Speaker 2: so apparently, you know what we do on Second Date Update?
- 2:37Speaker 2: You get ghosted, call us, we get answers. You're doing
- 2:40Speaker 2: the ghosting.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You went on a date with a guy named Dylan.
- 2:42Speaker 1: He has called us, Victoria. He said the date was great.
- 2:45Speaker 1: You went to a corn maze and out to dinner.
- 2:47Speaker 1: And he, for the life of him.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Can't figure out why you're not responding to his messages.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Well, I mean, if there's a time of year to ghost,
- 2:57Speaker 4: it's now, right?
- 2:58Speaker 3: Yeah. Correct.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I don't know if that was supposed to be a joke,
- 3:01Speaker 2: but that was pretty funny. No, I like it. I
- 3:03Speaker 2: love it.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Well, it was better than the jokes I had to
- 3:06Speaker 4: listen to during the entire date. The date was not good,
- 3:11Speaker 4: you guys. Like, he's a nice person, but definitely.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Not my type. Okay, because....
- 3:18Speaker 4: Where do I start? We did a corn maze and
- 3:21Speaker 4: the guy left me in the corn maze.
- 3:23Speaker 2: No.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Left me in, yes, it could have been a romantic
- 3:27Speaker 4: notebook moment, you know, all cozy and like chilly out
- 3:31Speaker 4: and romantical and killing me in the corn maze.
- 3:35Speaker 2: So he leaves you in the corn maze. So you go,
- 3:37Speaker 2: so then you go to dinner.
- 3:39Speaker 4: And the whole time, all he did, you guys, was
- 3:43Speaker 4: tell like really bad dad jokes.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Okay, was he nervous? Like, maybe he was nervous.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Yeah, but he also, like, never asked me a single
- 3:56Speaker 4: thing about myself. So even if you're nervous, you can
- 3:58Speaker 4: always say, tell me about yourself. What do you like
- 4:01Speaker 4: to do for fun? Did you grow up here in Connecticut?
- 4:05Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of mansplaining.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Like, he could have asked me anything, and all he
- 4:09Speaker 4: did was tell really cheesy jokes.
- 4:11Speaker 2: It just felt like.
- 4:13Speaker 4: He's an aspiring comedian that's clearly never going to make
- 4:16Speaker 4: it because they were really bad jokes. But it was like,
- 4:18Speaker 4: he needed all the attention. He needed to be like
- 4:20Speaker 4: a prankster. Yeah, Victoria, did he make any like that
- 4:24Speaker 4: corn maze was real corny kind of jokes? Oh my God,
- 4:28Speaker 4: you're going to make me throw up.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Okay, I'm sorry.
- 4:31Speaker 3: I apologize.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Can I just jump in?
- 4:32Speaker 1: I want to bring, he's been listening, but Savannah had
- 4:34Speaker 1: mentioned maybe Dylan talked too much and it sounds like
- 4:37Speaker 1: he might have talked too much about himself.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Dylan, are you there?
- 4:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm here. God, I feel so bad. I thought
- 4:44Speaker 3: it was funny, the corn maze. I wasn't trying to
- 4:48Speaker 3: make you uncomfortable. You, yeah. It was funny. You literally
- 4:51Speaker 3: left me there. Yeah, that was a good time. It
- 4:55Speaker 3: was funny.
- 4:56Speaker 4: No, it's not funny. That's like somebody, like, dumping out
- 4:59Speaker 4: a bag of spiders on your bed and being like,
- 5:01Speaker 4: ha ha, it's.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Funny, ha ha.
- 5:03Speaker 4: No, it was not funny. It was not funny. It
- 5:06Speaker 4: was really scary, actually.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Spiders are funny.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Hey, Dylan, I consider myself a funny person.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Do you have any of these jokes that you are
- 5:14Speaker 1: rattling off at dinner?
- 5:16Speaker 3: All right, all right. Did you hear about the leaf
- 5:18Speaker 3: whose bank closed? It had to find another branch.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Okay. All right, let's just try another one.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Why are dads so good at fall puns?
- 5:31Speaker 2: I don't know why.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Because they're so corny.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Let's just do one more. One more.
- 5:38Speaker 2: He's warming up. He's warming up. Now he's really nervous.
- 5:41Speaker 2: He's on the radio. He's warming up. This is going
- 5:43Speaker 2: to be the one. Go ahead, Dylan.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Here we go.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Okay, okay. Why did the tiny pepper wear a sweater? Why?
- 5:50Speaker 3: Because it was a little chilly.
- 5:53Speaker 2: I mean, that one's cute.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Okay. All right.
- 5:56Speaker 2: So Dylan was the problem. So Dylan. Thank you.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I usually offer to pay for another date. And I
- 6:04Speaker 1: know you've apologized, Dylan. I know you feel bad about it.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I do now. I mean, yeah, we don't have to
- 6:10Speaker 3: go to corn maze.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Do you want to go on another date and I'll
- 6:13Speaker 2: pay for it, guys?
- 6:14Speaker 4: I'll go on another date without him.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Oh, without him.
- 6:17Speaker 4: You like that joke, Dylan?
- 6:19Speaker 2: All right.
- 6:20Speaker 3: That wasn't really funny.
- 6:22Speaker 4: It was funny to me. Okay, you guys.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Listen, I'm glad, Dylan, you got the answers.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Victoria, I mean, you know, I wish you guys both
- 6:32Speaker 1: the best. Thank you for being so honest with us.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Well, thanks for having me and love you guys.
