SPEAKER_02: I have to play something for you that is I I know you're a daring person.
• 0:04
  SPEAKER_01: It can be, yeah.
• 0:05
SPEAKER_02: But I don't know that you could do this.
• 0:06
SPEAKER_02: Like, uh you know, you have skydived.
• 0:09
  SPEAKER_01: Yes.
• 0:09
  SPEAKER_02: Uh once, twice?
• 0:10
  SPEAKER_02: Just once.
• 0:11
  SPEAKER_02: Just once?
• 0:11
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 0:12
SPEAKER_01: I would totally do it again, though.
• 0:13
  SPEAKER_02: All right.
• 0:13
SPEAKER_02: Well, yeah, but you'd probably do it still in tandem with another person, right?
• 0:17
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
• 0:18
SPEAKER_01: I think you have to I don't know if it's six or seven.
• 0:20
SPEAKER_01: There's there's so many that you have to have under your belt as a minimum before they release you by yourself.
• 0:26
SPEAKER_02: Shove you out the door by yourself.
• 0:28
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 0:28
SPEAKER_02: You're probably not going to jump off the space needle though and take a uh uh parachute down, would you?
• 0:34
  SPEAKER_02: No.
• 0:34
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that seems like it's a little much more dangerous because at least with a plane, you're higher up, you you know, it's wide open.
• 0:41
SPEAKER_01: One of the things that I want to do is do base jumping, but I can do it where where I would love to do it is in West Virginia at the New River Gorge, because they have a base jumping.
• 0:51
  SPEAKER_01: Right, exactly.
• 0:52
SPEAKER_01: That that I I don't want to be the first one, is what I'm saying.
• 0:55
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 0:55
SPEAKER_02: Well, and the Space Needle, you're really not supposed to, but Seattle police now, and they're this is interesting to me because they're searching for two men who climbed over the glass wall of the Space Needle on Friday, flipped over the edge, and then parachuted down the 605-foot structure.
• 1:11
SPEAKER_02: I have a witness I'm gonna play for you.
• 1:13
SPEAKER_02: There are cameras everywhere now.
• 1:15
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 1:16
SPEAKER_02: How do you not see somebody that look, they got Mangioni in New York just like that?
• 1:21
SPEAKER_02: You know, by the way.
• 1:22
SPEAKER_02: I mean, it took a minute, but it took a minute, but I mean, you would think a couple parachutes looking like a James Bond or a Tom Cruise movie would you'd be able to somebody would see something, like there'd be witnesses.
• 1:33
SPEAKER_01: Doesn't it remind you of every kind of movie where there's that goofy cop that's trying to chase after him, but like he's pulling up his pants and he's he's running really slow?
• 1:40
  SPEAKER_01: I guess there's a little bit of that.
• 1:42
SPEAKER_01: How slow are you moving?
• 1:43
SPEAKER_01: Because if you see somebody who parachutes off this, then all of a sudden it's like, oh my god, I would think that everyone would swarm in.
• 1:50
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, me too.
• 1:50
SPEAKER_00: Here they burst through the door, and at first I was like, what the heck?
• 1:53
SPEAKER_00: Because they kind of like shoved past me and Emerson.
• 1:55
SPEAKER_00: So I was like, Well, what the heck is going on?
• 1:56
SPEAKER_00: Like, why are you pushing past me and my kid?
• 1:58
SPEAKER_00: They were running towards the glass and they jumped up.
• 2:00
SPEAKER_00: Now some Jacob was like, they're climbing up, they're climbing up, and I'm like, oh my god, go watch Emerson, go.
• 2:04
  SPEAKER_02: She got excited.
• 2:06
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so yeah, as you can see, like there was enough time that she saw what was going on.
• 2:10
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 2:11
SPEAKER_02: Maybe not enough time to react and call 911, but I also would have thought, okay, I don't know the last time you were in the Empire State Building, uh, but I'll give you a good example.
• 2:21
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 2:21
SPEAKER_02: So uh a couple years ago, when Tiffany and I went to New York, we had an old engineer.
• 2:26
SPEAKER_02: He actually does a lot of work for radio station transmitters that are stationed inside the Empire State Building.
• 2:32
SPEAKER_02: And he said, Scott, come on up.
• 2:35
  SPEAKER_02: I'll give you a tour.
• 2:37
SPEAKER_02: And he literally knows that he has a key to the back door.
• 2:41
SPEAKER_02: It's a special elevator that takes you to the observation deck.
• 2:45
SPEAKER_02: And here's what's interesting about the observation deck of the Empire State Building.
• 2:49
  SPEAKER_02: What?
• 2:49
SPEAKER_02: There are ushers everywhere for a number of reasons.
• 2:53
SPEAKER_02: Mainly one, they don't want you to climb over and jump, but you know, to also guide people through in that.
• 2:59
SPEAKER_02: And when our elevator door, which is kind of like a well, I mean, it was not a secret elevator door, but it was not used by the tourists.
• 3:06
SPEAKER_02: So let's put let's put it that way.
• 3:07
SPEAKER_02: When our door opened, instantaneously one of the ushers turns around and goes, Oh, oh, hey, how are you?
• 3:14
SPEAKER_02: He knew the engineer right away, but he was in a position where he was able to immediately like he was alerted enough to go, Well, that door doesn't normally open.
• 3:23
  SPEAKER_02: Who are these people?
• 3:24
SPEAKER_01: Well, that the other thing that I was thinking is they must have had some gear on them.
• 3:29
SPEAKER_01: Maybe it was in a book bag.
• 3:30
SPEAKER_02: But I'm sure it looked like a backpack, yeah.
• 3:33
SPEAKER_01: But but also anytime anyone moves past my camera in the front of my house, I'm alerted right away.
• 3:39
  SPEAKER_01: I see it, I get it.
• 3:40
SPEAKER_02: The trees move at my house and the stupid camera goes off.
• 3:43
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 3:44
SPEAKER_01: How is it that these guys they didn't get caught?
• 3:47
SPEAKER_01: I mean, there's like you said, not even just cameras, but the motion of like if I see somebody on camera, maybe there's so many cameras and not enough security people that they just didn't see that one camera.
• 3:58
SPEAKER_01: Because I imagine that the security at the Space Needle looks like they're in a room with like 80 TVs.
• 4:03
  SPEAKER_01: You're right, right.
• 4:04
SPEAKER_01: And maybe they just didn't see the one where they were in the shop.
• 4:07
SPEAKER_02: But then as they're floating down, you're over a major populated city.
• 4:12
  SPEAKER_02: I know.
• 4:13
SPEAKER_02: Again, I just and then when you land, you know this from parachuting out of a plane.
• 4:18
  SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
• 4:18
SPEAKER_02: It doesn't self-retract in three seconds like a movie.
• 4:22
SPEAKER_02: You know, it's a large flowing blanket of a parachute.
• 4:26
SPEAKER_01: Well, that, and then you have to grab it and roll it, don't you?
• 4:30
SPEAKER_01: Well, that, but uh, they might have left their parachute, but I'm not sure on that.
• 4:33
SPEAKER_01: But anyway, but when you land, you also, it's like a bump, bump, bump, bump.
• 4:37
SPEAKER_01: You know what I'm saying?
• 4:38
SPEAKER_01: It's not, it's not land and jump up.
• 4:41
SPEAKER_01: It's you're kind of like bumping on your butt.
• 4:43
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
• 4:44
SPEAKER_01: And then you stand up.
• 4:45
SPEAKER_01: It's a way to because you lift your legs up.
• 4:47
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 4:48
SPEAKER_01: And and like you almost are when you're coming down to ground, it's like you're sitting.
• 4:53
  SPEAKER_01: Really?
• 4:54
  SPEAKER_01: Yes.
• 4:54
SPEAKER_01: So I bumped my butt and then you kind of like jump up and do it.
• 4:59
  SPEAKER_01: I got you.
• 5:00
SPEAKER_01: So that's also the weird thing because it's not just it's not like land, okay, I'm up.
• 5:04
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, right.
• 5:05
SPEAKER_01: It's kind of a process to get your bearings.
• 5:08
  SPEAKER_02: That one really struggle.
• 5:09
SPEAKER_02: I struggle with that one.
• 5:10
SPEAKER_02: I'm like, wow, nobody was able to get that.
• 5:12
SPEAKER_01: I super struggle with that one.
• 5:13
SPEAKER_02: I need you to hold on just a couple seconds.
• 5:15
SPEAKER_02: I know you have a struggle with AI.
• 5:17
  SPEAKER_01: I do.
• 5:18
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 5:18
  SPEAKER_02: Moral hatred.
• 5:19
SPEAKER_02: So does this person, and it's for the dumbest reason.
• 5:23
SPEAKER_02: And I'll see if I can't help you with this in a minute.
