Transcript
- 0:00There it is. Chase Elliott is your winner.
- 0:01Everybody. Charlie, bring it home.
- 0:03There we go Chase Elliott in that white Napa 9 car, which is
- 0:08kind of sharp at at the beginning of that race, you had
- 0:10all the you had the white cars you had, you had Chase Elliott,
- 0:13you had Denny Hamlin and that Tyler Reddick unbannable Nike
- 0:17car which had a cool paint scheme.
- 0:19But yeah, the 2025 Clash winner is Chase Elliott, the the fan
- 0:25favorite, the seven time most popular driver wins.
- 0:27It looks like the the fans of the Madhouse are very happy
- 0:30about that term. Well, and this is a big what we
- 0:33call a Southern when you, you know, you're an Ohio guy.
- 0:36We're Midwest people. So the sirens going to go off in
- 0:40Dawsonville, GA. You know, this is in Winston
- 0:43Salem, NC is where this is. This is Winston Salem.
- 0:47This is a football field. And years ago, they put a
- 0:51racetrack around it. Now listen, Charlie, this has
- 0:54been done years ago, you know, Soldiers field where dumb bears
- 0:58play. They raced there, but the cars
- 1:02were smaller, they were lesser and it worked.
- 1:05Now the cars are bigger, faster, more power.
- 1:11But look, they're getting it done and and this is a big win.
- 1:14Let's see, Charlie, not too bad, 9/14 in St.
- 1:19Louis, MO. I think this was another win.
- 1:22It's only 1014 here in on the East, East Coast.
- 1:27You know, it's 1014. You go to the movie theaters,
- 1:30you watch a 715 movie, you know, this is about what time you're
- 1:35going to get out seven 15815. You know, you're going to get
- 1:39out at 8:45. But still, I think NASCAR, you
- 1:44know, and look, it's 10:15. You know, while look at this
- 1:48burnout, the Chase Elliott's doing beautiful burnout
- 1:51sideways, literally through the corner, still sideways through
- 1:55the grass. Yeah, I I I think that's the
- 1:59home. I don't see anything wrong.
- 2:01And I'm trying to. I'm trying right now.
- 2:03What? What is wrong?
- 2:05There's nothing wrong. It's on.
- 2:06It's on primetime Fox. They're promoting the Super
- 2:10Bowl. It's a hell of a race.
- 2:13We had a lot of spin outs. We had some good wrecks.
- 2:16Nobody got hurt. No tow trucks.
- 2:18That was big. The crowd stays afterward.
- 2:21Here, Charlie. Here we go.
- 2:24I got my volume down there he is Chase sell it.
- 2:28He's very happy well earned. They they come and took care of
- 2:32business. Charlie, they set QuickTime.
- 2:36So he earns it by QuickTime wins his heat race starts on the
- 2:40pole, gives it up. Now here's what I say that 100
- 2:45lap halftime break. I think I think that helps Chase
- 2:52because they might have made a chassis change.
- 2:55Hamlin OK, so give us the finish there.
- 2:57C1 more time. So you got the unofficial
- 3:01results here. Chase Elliott wins.
- 3:03Ryan Blaney, who again started last, started 23rd.
- 3:07He finishes second. This is unofficial, but Denny
- 3:09Hamlin third, Joey Logano 4th, Bubba Wallace 5th, Ross Chastain
- 3:146th, Austin Sindrick 7th, Tyler Reddick 8th.
- 3:19How about Shane van Gisbergen 9th and Chris Buscher 10th.
- 3:24And then your 11th spot is Ryan Priest and he was kind of the
- 3:28show last night. Herm with with spinning out John
- 3:32Hunter Nemechek to to advance. How about the fact that we
- 3:36didn't see a ton of that? We saw that last night and then
- 3:39I guess what you saw host of our you saw host of our in this race
- 3:45tonight, but you didn't really see a ton of wrecks.
- 3:48Well. Here, here's what I want to say,
- 3:50Charlie. Number one, I'm surprised that
- 3:52Chase Elliott is the only stand out at Hendrick.
- 3:56OK, so Chase Elliott stands out. Kyle Larson was way better but
- 4:04made the race, won the last chance qualifier.
- 4:06But my point is this. Chase Elliott is the only driver
- 4:11from the Hendrick stable to, you know, really get up there,
- 4:15right? So Kyle Larson doesn't get
- 4:18through the field. He makes his way up there, gets
- 4:20the 14th and then gets spun out. William Byron doesn't run very
- 4:25well either. So I do want to talk about
- 4:28Priests. That is a new team at, you know,
- 4:33Roush Fenway. So Ryan Priests in the 16th,
- 4:36good run. The other new driver, Chase
- 4:39Briscoe, took over for Martin Trucks.
- 4:42He showed up good until he got wrecked out.
- 4:46But I see I see Penske showed up because Cyndrick run good.
- 4:53So I'm thinking right now, you know, I'm kind of going to I'm
- 4:56going to give as far as the team win.
- 4:59Looks like the team wins going to go to Penske because you
- 5:03know, they showed up up there in the top ten.
- 5:07But yeah, whatever they had underneath that Hendrick car of
- 5:12Chase Elliott, I don't know if the message got relayed, relayed
- 5:16to William Byron and maybe it got relayed to Kyle Larson.
- 5:22But you know, Kyle just couldn't get through the field.
- 5:25And as we watched the race, Blaney cleanly got by Kyle
- 5:29Larson starting last. And that's another thing
- 5:33Charlie, is the tracks too small.
- 5:38It can't be too small because the guy that started last
- 5:41finished second and there's not a mark on his car as we're
- 5:44looking right now. Just donut marks, very little
- 5:48donut marks. The 9 don't look like there's a
- 5:50hell the 9 did more damage. It's now spinning through the
- 5:52grass. Not a mark on the 9, not a mark
- 5:55on the 9, not a mark on the 2nd place car.
- 5:59So once again, Charlie, we cover all the bases again.
- 6:02So respond right here everybody, but still don't see nothing
- 6:06wrong. Don't see anything wrong.
- 6:09We're trying. Do you think, do you think with
- 6:13Kyle Larson? So he's in the Last Chance
- 6:15qualifier and he wins it, but his car was pretty banged up.
- 6:19I mean, it was all taped up. You you think that played a part
- 6:23in in the fact that he already ran 75 laps and they were trying
- 6:26to just get that thing to the end?
- 6:28Yeah, definitely did not help. And I think that was an
- 6:32advantage because, you know, Blaney gets in on points right
- 6:35now as you listen to the broadcast.
- 6:37Blaney had problems yesterday, didn't handle good and the car
- 6:41was smoking. Jamie Little reported that this
- 6:45morning, the Penske team, you know, took Blaney's car, parked,
- 6:50found a hole and I believe the oil cooler changed all the oil
- 6:55cooler, you know, did all that. But one thing Blaney did, he
- 6:59didn't let his pride get in the way.
- 7:01He ran 5 laps in the Last Chance qualifier.
- 7:05That last chance qualifier was 75 laps.
- 7:08So basically Blaney goes out there, knows he's got the
- 7:11provisional. This isn't the Last Chance
- 7:13qualifier. Runs five laps, gets a little
- 7:16heat in the brakes, pulls off. So yes, his car was fresh.
- 7:22That's where Kyle Larson had to basically destroy his car, you
- 7:27know? Yeah, two cars move on.
- 7:28Charlie. You had Josh Berry, which was a
- 7:34a good feel because this is the home pretty much of the woods.
- 7:37You know, they're in western Virginia and, you know, so
- 7:41that's right. close. But when Josh Berry and Kyle
- 7:44Larson roll off the track from the last chance qualifier, it
- 7:48already looked like their car had been to demolition Derby.
- 7:54And by the way, I am, I am tired, Charlie and I do got
- 7:58coffee in here. It it doesn't hurt that we our
- 8:02new sponsor Sunoco, I put that decal on there.
- 8:05I think this yesterday morning. But yeah, yeah, looks good.
- 8:09I'll, I'll let you take a drink there.
- 8:11What, what have you thought so far?
- 8:12I, I watched a bunch of the press conferences from the media
- 8:16availabilities yesterday and no, no, big shocker.
- 8:20Denny Hamlin's always providing content.
- 8:23So the two big storylines that I, that I saw, and these were
- 8:27being talked about as well was so Bob Parker's asks him about
- 8:31the fact that his hauler doesn't have a lot of sponsors on it.
- 8:34And, and Denny Hamlin talked about how tough it is these days
- 8:37to get a sponsor. And then the other part was and,
- 8:40and we put this on our, our YouTube and on, on X Denny is
- 8:44not a fan of the the world class driver exemption.
- 8:47And he said it reeks of desperation.
- 8:50That was his quote. Yeah, I, I have a strong opinion
- 8:54on both things #1 we try very hard to lay off a politics.
- 9:00But when we went to high school, they taught us current affairs.
- 9:06The current affair in America is we have high inflation.
- 9:13You know, people are doing the best they can.
- 9:15There's not extra money out there.
- 9:18So and and until companies feel strong, you know, all these
- 9:26teams right now are living off their wealthy car owners.
- 9:30Let me be very clear. You know, Michael Jordan is
- 9:34making forty $44 million a year off tennis shoes.
- 9:39You know, any struggling that having to do now, I'm just that
- 9:42that's not what Denny's team, but I'm saying over here with
- 9:45the 23 team. I see we got some questions
- 9:49coming up. Let me finish this right.
- 9:51Here. No.
- 9:51Yeah, go. Ahead, when you look at somebody
- 9:55like the 2311 team, they got some big money from their car
- 10:03owner to field this deal, OK? You know, Michael Jordan, you
- 10:08know, personally is knocking down 4040 million, $44 million a
- 10:13year himself lives on a yacht, got it going on.
- 10:16OK. Now, when you go to Joe Gibbs,
- 10:18now I'm going to answer your question.
- 10:22Let me go back just a little bit.
- 10:24A lot of these teams that are struggling for sponsorships,
- 10:27their car owners are some of the wealthiest people in the world
- 10:30and in America. Rodger Penske, wealthiest man
- 10:34and one of the wealthy is men, you know.
- 10:36So, but when you get to Joe Gibbs, you know, I don't know if
- 10:41Joe's got a partner and you know, but that's not for Denny
- 10:48Hamlin to worry about. As you can tell tonight, Denny
- 10:51Hamlin showed up. One thing that and I want I want
- 10:55to stop comment. NASCAR's really making things
- 10:58right. This this this trophy that's
- 11:01being awarded the night is the Bobby Allison Memorial Trophy.
- 11:06Bobby Allison passed away a hero of the Wallace family.
- 11:10Bobby Allison helped us get to where we're at, but NASCAR
- 11:16neglected Bobby Allison for years and Mike Helton and Jim
- 11:22France said, look, we got to make this right.
- 11:24We got to give Bobby Allison his 85th win and that win was at
- 11:29Bowman Gray. So how right NASCAR even gets
- 11:33the trophy right? It's the Bobby Allison Memorial
- 11:38Trophy and they and they awarded Bobby his 85th win.
- 11:43And and that's a whole nother story.
- 11:45And we talked about it on the Kenny Wall show.
- 11:48But I want to say that. So let's get back to the
- 11:51question. Denny is struggling for
- 11:57sponsorship right now, not because of Denny.
- 12:00Everybody's struggling for sponsorship.
- 12:03I mean, you're you're getting teams with eight and 10 sponsors
- 12:06a year. I mean, I don't know how.
- 12:08I mean, the money for the fire suits for the, you know, if, if
- 12:11these teams are going to put new fire suits on these crew members
- 12:15every 10 races, these, these fire suits are 1500 three, $1000
- 12:21a pop, you know, times, I mean, you're looking at 30 grand in
- 12:26fire suits per race. So you know, OK, now you're just
- 12:32going to struggle on sponsorship right now because our inflation
- 12:38is so big, sponsors are looking at where they're going to spend
- 12:43their money and they want to deal.
- 12:45Denny, Denny Hamlin, you know the Joe Gibbs team, they're
- 12:48they're looking at 20 million a year.
- 12:50Some of these lesser teams are like, you know, our driver, he
- 12:53only makes, you know, some of these drivers are making 250,000
- 12:57a year. What?
- 12:58Denny's a $6 million a year guy. So you see what I'm saying?
- 13:03Spire Motorsports, they, they can use a lot less money because
- 13:07their driver don't ask for no money.
- 13:09You see what I'm saying? So why does it take the top
- 13:14teams so much money to operate because they got world class
- 13:17drivers as much crap as we want or, or you all want to talk
- 13:23about Danny Hamlin. He's a difference maker.
- 13:27He did all that talking and then he went out there and LED the
- 13:29race and finished third. You know, he he he's he's a
- 13:33gamer. So he he, he deserves that big
- 13:36money. Now, as far as the other
- 13:41question you asked me, Denny said that it is a gimmick, and
- 13:47he didn't say this, but it is a gimmick for NASCAR to allow
- 13:51Helio Elio. Elio.
- 13:55That's the way I was taught to say it.
- 13:57Elio, you're saying, and I say and I see Denny Hamlin says it
- 14:04is a gimmick NASCAR's doing to bring these world class drivers.
- 14:08Elio Castroneves automatically locked in.
- 14:11Now, I agree with him. It is a gimmick.
- 14:16That's it. And and it's got to be done
- 14:19because NASCAR it's got to light a Wick.
- 14:22They got to light a bottle Locket.
- 14:23They got to do something. And I've always said we don't
- 14:26have any superstar NASCAR drivers.
- 14:29Now Chase Elliott can keep this up.
- 14:32I mean, that that's the only thing that's going to turn
- 14:34NASCAR around. How many times has he won the
- 14:38most popular driver? Seven.
- 14:40Yeah. So see, he's a favorite.
- 14:43And. And fans are fickle.
- 14:45They're strange. If their driver wins, they love
- 14:47NASCAR. If their driver don't win, they
- 14:50hate NASCAR. It's just that silly.
- 14:52So if we can keep Chase up there, that big fan base is
- 14:56going to love NASCAR. You know, I mean, that's just
- 14:59the way it is. It's a joke with me and you.
- 15:01My driver didn't win. I hate NASCAR so I agree, but
- 15:08but listen, people got memory like an elephant and I said on
- 15:13the Kenny Wallace show what NASCAR is doing for this.
- 15:19You know you're automatically in if you're a world class driver.
- 15:23I don't, I don't I got no problems with it because I don't
- 15:26think it's a big deal. It's in.
- 15:27It's not like a world class drivers going to be running
- 15:30every event and even Danny said that, but but once again, Bob
- 15:35Pockras pokes the pokes the bull, right?
- 15:38You, you mess with the bull, you get the horn.
- 15:41So Bob messes with the bull, Danny gives him the horn.
- 15:45Don't ask a question if you don't like the answer.
- 15:48So I agree with Danny, but I my opinion is still the same.
- 15:53It's fine with me. It don't matter.
- 15:56It's fine with me. It don't matter because it's not
- 15:59like a world class driver is going to show up at every race.
- 16:03So yeah. Yeah, I was.
- 16:07I remember you and Schrader talked about this several weeks
- 16:10ago and, and and he said, look, it's the Daytona 500.
- 16:13That's not really the race that you need this for.
- 16:15And I I agree with him. It doesn't bother me at all, by
- 16:18the way, that Elio is in the Daytona 500.
- 16:20But I feel like if you have other races maybe where you
- 16:24don't have as much attention and promotion and we're talking non
- 16:28playoff races, maybe when you get through kind of like the the
- 16:31dog days of summer, that's where I feel like having a Max
- 16:34Verstappen or somebody like that can kind of bring some more
- 16:37attention. But you don't need any extra
- 16:40attention for the Daytona 500. No, I agree with that.
- 16:45Getting back to Denny saying it, it's desperation.
- 16:48Well, call it what you want, OK, But even if you say it's
- 16:53desperation, then OK, even if NASCAR said, look, we're a
- 16:58little desperate right now, don't make them look bad.
- 17:02You could call it a market. It's it's Charlie, it's
- 17:06publicity. It's marketing.
- 17:08It's publicity. It's marketing.
- 17:11You can call it anything you want.
- 17:12You can call it a gimmick. You, you know, usually those are
- 17:15just attack names. It's a gimmick.
- 17:20It's desperation. Oh, what?
- 17:22Oh, you hurt me. You know, NASCAR's not sitting
- 17:27there. Let's see Chris Blair.
- 17:29See what's Chris saying? Oh, Chris is funny.
- 17:32Chris has been Chris Blair is the he's in charge of the
- 17:39Worldwide Technology Raceway. Well, you know, they're, they're
- 17:42trying to do other things over there.
- 17:44You know, they got the road course, they got the drag strip.
- 17:47They're getting ready to, they're getting ready to have
- 17:51some wrestling over at the Worldwide Technology.
- 17:54So this is Chris Blair. Oh, nice.
- 18:01He, he went somewhere to promote wrestling at Worldwide
- 18:06Technology Raceway and they hit him in the face with a pie.
- 18:11So that's Chris Blair, who is the general manager at the
- 18:14Worldwide Technology and they just were awarded since Saint
- 18:19Louis is doing so good. That race, as we know, Charlie,
- 18:22is in September and it is a playoff race.
- 18:25So shout out to Chris Blair. Let me put it on.
- 18:30Let me see, Chris, period. We're live on YouTube and I just
- 18:34showed everybody this picture. As you say, promoters do what
- 18:40they got to do. Yep.
- 18:44Yeah, You know, you mentioned, you mentioned worldwide
- 18:46technology in Saint Louis having the the race in the playoffs.
- 18:49So no longer in early June, now it's in September.
- 18:52And there's a lot of people in the comments here that really
- 18:55liked the clash and I don't maybe it's because we're in it
- 18:59right now, but I don't know. I, I feel like a good positivity
- 19:03about the NASCAR season and maybe that's because what, it's
- 19:07year 4 of the Next Gen. car. I feel like they're figuring
- 19:09that out a little more each and every year.
- 19:12I mean, do you feel that? I know we have this lawsuit
- 19:14hanging over, but I feel like that was more of an offseason
- 19:17story. I don't, I don't know how many
- 19:18developments we're going to get during the year.
- 19:20I don't know. I, I can see a lot of positivity
- 19:22for this 2025 season. What do you think?
- 19:25Charlie and I'm not really most of the fans watching us right
- 19:30now. I want to thank you all so much.
- 19:31But right now, some of the the complaints by some of the fans
- 19:38is what we call white noise. These are, this is the, you're a
- 19:44remember, you're young. But there used to be this funny
- 19:47show to come out. There's 2 old men.
- 19:49They were Muppets and it yeah, the two old men, they just
- 19:53grouchy all the time, no matter what.
- 19:56And you know, it's kind of like Grinch, right?
- 19:59Grinch is never going to be happy.
- 20:02Well, the we got those people in our fan base.
- 20:06They love NASCAR, but they're sport.
- 20:09They love to talk crap. And they're they're like,
- 20:12they're like the muffin. They're like the two old men.
- 20:15So these people are starting to be drowned out a little bit.
- 20:21We saw it at the end of the year where there was this group that
- 20:24said, I don't like the playoff system, you know, And then when
- 20:28you broke it down, you like hold on.
- 20:31And now you see all the drivers coming out.
- 20:34I don't know if you saw it, but all the drivers coming out In
- 20:37Joey Logano's defense, you know what, he won three.
- 20:42He won like, you know, Joey Logano won four races last year.
- 20:46He he peaked in the playoffs. He he showed up in the playoffs,
- 20:50you know, this argument that well, but he didn't run good
- 20:52early in the years. Like what do you want me to do?
- 20:56You know, I mean, so some of these arguments, it's just like
- 21:02every year, some of the fans want everything changed and it's
- 21:06becoming white noise. What white noise is, is like,
- 21:09look, it don't matter. It don't matter.
- 21:12You just, you just still complaining.
- 21:15And there's and, and everybody's like God and, and, and people
- 21:19start knowing people too, because social media is, is the
- 21:23new place now. So you start going, oh, that's
- 21:26that guy. That guy's always bitching and
- 21:28moaning, you know what I mean? It's like, oh, that's that guy.
- 21:32He's, he always complaints. And I think that's what's
- 21:35happening is for the most part, it's, it's getting to be, that's
- 21:40the guy that always complaints. And then he'll light a fire,
- 21:42then he'll get his buddies to complain.
- 21:45But, but yeah, I listen. And let's face it, we, we've
- 21:51already admitted it. NASCAR is never ever going to be
- 21:56back to its glory days. So that's not even an argument.
- 22:01We all admitted that you're never, ever, well, we, we can't
- 22:05fit that many people because they took all the grandstands
- 22:07down, Charlie. So it's like, you know, all they
- 22:11fit, you know, the Daytona 501 year had 200,000 people, 250,000
- 22:17people. What, you're not going to put
- 22:19that many people in there anymore because they, they took
- 22:21out all the grandstands. It maxes out at 100.
- 22:25So they took out all the grandstands, realizing that the
- 22:29sport it, it was, it was a rare time in life and we'll never see
- 22:36it again. It was like, whoa, you know it,
- 22:40it was really big, you know it, and, and now it's not that big
- 22:43anymore. This is where it's going to be,
- 22:45but it's still a viable sport. And that's why you see NBC, Fox,
- 22:51That's why you see them spending billions.
- 22:55You know, if the sport is so bad, Charlie, you got to ask
- 22:58yourself why, why is Fox, why is NBC, Hulu, all these, why are
- 23:05they spending billions of dollars?
- 23:07It's because they see the analytics.
- 23:10They see that there's still 4 million people watching a race.
- 23:14I guarantee you this one here. Well, we have the Grammys on
- 23:17tonight, so that kind of diluted it.
- 23:20But you're I can tell you I left the Volusia Speedway, the dirt
- 23:23track, every single dirt racer was they was outside their
- 23:28motorhomes. It was good feel too.
- 23:31You know, the woods were in the background.
- 23:32You saw Denny Hamlin standing on the grass.
- 23:35It had that. It had that good short track
- 23:37feel. All the short trackers were
- 23:39happy, you know, all the local races.
- 23:42Oh look, it looks local. Looks like a local track.
- 23:46So that probably pretty good ratings, but.
- 23:49Yeah, I also think I just think NASCAR and racing in general
- 23:54also does really well on social media because all the clips and
- 23:58even if people aren't going to watch the whole race or even
- 24:00half the race, just the the clips that are shared on social
- 24:04media, look at last night, priests spinning out, John
- 24:08Hunter, Nemechek. Anytime there's a fight, anytime
- 24:11there's a wreck, those get played millions and millions of
- 24:14times all across social media. Platforms Charlie, did you see
- 24:19what happened? And I'm I'm answering your
- 24:22question. We're talking did you see
- 24:26WrestleMania in Indianapolis last night?
- 24:30WrestleMania. Now I'm going to throw a
- 24:32disclaimer. Those wrestlers are the most
- 24:35fantastic athletes in the world. They are way better than me.
- 24:40I admire them. I look up to them, but it's
- 24:43fake. The it's fake.
- 24:47It's a show and they literally sold out a fake act.
- 24:55It's like, it's like going to see a movie.
- 24:57You know, movies aren't real when they're real.
- 25:00They call them documentaries. We we go and watch movies and
- 25:04own. It's entertainment.
- 25:06So people want to be entertained and people like to get on social
- 25:14media and see what's up. So my point is, is that if
- 25:20wrestling can go over here with a staged act and NASCAR is all
- 25:28real, you got to start asking yourself, where are we at in
- 25:31entertainment today? Where are we in entertainment
- 25:35today? You know it.
- 25:38And another thing that's going on right now, I hate the NFL.
- 25:44They let the Chiefs win, then I hate the NBA.
- 25:49They're trying to shorten, you know, the game.
- 25:53I mean, everybody hates everything.
- 25:57You see what I mean about white noise?
- 25:59It's starting to wear. It's starting to wear now.
- 26:01Everybody hates everything. It's like, you know what I mean?
- 26:06It's one of those deals. It's like, oh, I get it.
- 26:08Everybody hates everything and it's a comedy.
- 26:13And then WrestleMania is over here with a staged act, sold
- 26:17out, standing room only crowd on feet.
- 26:20It's like it's funny. So we are in an entertainment
- 26:27sport right now and, and I'm still answering your question
- 26:31and I don't want to be political, but the first White
- 26:34House press briefing she got out there the new lady and she says
- 26:40we recognize that Joe Rogan played a part in Trump winning
- 26:46the election. So here in the White House press
- 26:50room for the first time in history, we got two seats and
- 26:55there's 10,000 of you out there. And if, if you are equality, if
- 27:00you're doing good. And so that tells you how strong
- 27:04social media is right now. And, and social media is about
- 27:08to entertain This AI stuff's taking over stuff, Charlie.
- 27:12It's like these goofy stuff on Instagram right now.
- 27:16But the bottom line is, is NASCAR is doing one hell of a
- 27:21job with TikTok. You know, I know for a fact
- 27:25TikTok, NASCAR's full effort is on TikTok because all them young
- 27:29kids live on there. I can't do it.
- 27:32You're doing it. I'm exhausted.
- 27:35I'm watching full blown productions from me, from race.
- 27:40OK, so the from the last chance qualifier there went to beat.
- 27:46There was about an the last chance qualifier to the A Maine
- 27:50was about an hour and a half and NASCAR already had full
- 27:53production shorts. Yeah, their editing team was
- 27:59already full production. So, you know, that's where we're
- 28:04at. The game has changed, Charlie,
- 28:07You know it, it's it's like coffee with Kenny.
- 28:11They don't make fun of me no more, Charlie.
- 28:14You know, they they don't make fun of me anymore because it's
- 28:18all about social media. It's all about it.
- 28:21You know, why is NASCAR going back to Bowman Gray?
- 28:24We got to change it up because what you know what, what the NBA
- 28:30used to do, it don't work anymore.
- 28:32What hockey did, it don't work anymore.
- 28:35We everybody's changing, everybody.
- 28:39Yeah, and I, I like most of NASCAR's changes and I read all
- 28:42the comments here on YouTube and it does seem like a lot of the
- 28:46old school fans maybe don't love all of the changes and maybe
- 28:50they're also an older demographic.
- 28:52And that's fine. But, and you spoke to this, but
- 28:55to get the younger people to pay attention, I do think what
- 29:00NASCAR is doing with the playoff, with stage racing, even
- 29:03if, even if some of the traditionalists don't love it
- 29:07and switching up things with the Clash, the Chicago street race,
- 29:11mixing up the, the tracks, Mexico.
- 29:14I think all of those things help grab the younger fan and the
- 29:19casual fan, which at the end of the day, NASCAR is trying to, to
- 29:22get back. And you said they'll never get
- 29:24back to whatever it was 2006, but they're trying to inch their
- 29:27way closer to that. And I, I think the, the
- 29:30advancements they're making are all targeting the casual fan.
- 29:34And I like, I like them all. And I, I would call myself
- 29:38before we started this YouTube channel, I would call myself a
- 29:40casual NASCAR fan. Now I'm a die hard, but like
- 29:44everything that they're doing, I feel like they're attracting the
- 29:47casual sports fan in a better way than they did before.
- 29:52Yeah, and, and I'm the one that are going to put my balls up
- 29:55here right now on the table. And I know what I'm going to say
- 29:58is controversial, but I'm going to call them all out.
- 30:01The fans that are doing all the moaning and complaining are the
- 30:04old people. They're just, they're sad.
- 30:06Charlie. I go on the Kyle Petty charity
- 30:09ride and they're wonderful people.
- 30:11They all got money and, and they go, they, they still love
- 30:14racing, but they look at me and I'll go, I don't like the sport
- 30:19anymore. They're just, they're just
- 30:20bitter. You know what I mean?
- 30:23It's all the old people. And, and what it is, is they're
- 30:26just sad that their drivers quit, you know, and, and, and
- 30:29the young crowd did not attach themselves to NASCAR.
- 30:34So you're right, Charlie, NASCAR knows that they've lost the old
- 30:38crowd just and it's over. And, and, and listen, we've done
- 30:44plenty of specials about this and I've watched those people
- 30:49take my excerpts and put them all over Facebook.
- 30:54The the old crowd is ass hurt. They're pissed.
- 30:58Tony Stewart's gone, Rusty's gone.
- 31:01I don't like NASCAR anymore. Those are the ones that do all
- 31:05the complaining. They just, they're avid
- 31:08complainers. And once again, you know, they
- 31:11probably got two or three accounts on the exit and they
- 31:14just love it. It's a sport they watch every
- 31:17race, but they like to complain now, the young kids, the young
- 31:22kids, you know, we've been watching something change in the
- 31:25last five months, if you know what I mean.
- 31:29And the the young kids are starting to change the world.
- 31:32And I think if we can grab them, you know, and that's why it's
- 31:38it's important for Chase Elliott.
- 31:40Ryan Blaney. Listen, we have, we have not had
- 31:43one driver stick yet. The most famous driver we got is
- 31:47Denny Hamlin because he's the one brave enough to do a little
- 31:50crap talk. Chase is just loved because of
- 31:56his father. You know, he's a little bit of
- 31:59got a little bit of Huckleberry Finn and they love that.
- 32:06Kyle Larson. Yeah, but Kyle don't move.
- 32:10Kyle is. Kyle's a legend, but Kyle
- 32:13doesn't move the needle like this.
- 32:18Chase Elliott does. Listen, I'm a lover and I'm
- 32:23going to say something that's going to smack people right in
- 32:25the face. If Kyle Larson was so damn
- 32:28famous, he'd be winning the most popular driver every year.
- 32:33Kyle Larson is loved by all the dirt racing people, and I love
- 32:38Kyle Larson. But you see, tip, tip, I don't
- 32:43fight losing battles. In other words, I'm like, no,
- 32:46you know, I look here, I look here and just because this is my
- 32:50guy, I don't go. I'm going to find this quote.
- 32:54I'm not going to waste time find it, but I'm going to find it.
- 32:57But the point is is yes, Kyle Larson is a superstar, but only
- 33:03on a only on a different level. Kyle Larson moves the needle in
- 33:07dirt racing. So how if Kyle Larson teams up
- 33:11with flow, he's going to pack Eldora Kyle Larson going to beat
- 33:16Eldora was going to be standing room only.
- 33:19But once again, if Kyle was so famous, and I mean it's nice if
- 33:26Kyle Larson was that famous, he would win the most popular
- 33:30driver award in NASCAR. See what I'm saying?
- 33:34Kyle Larson is all dirt racer. So that's why we need Kyle.
- 33:40It's famous as Kyle is. He's he still won't move the
- 33:42needle. We need those.
- 33:46We need those drivers where they need a bodyguard.
- 33:51Charlie, should we start answering some questions?
- 33:54Sure. You know, it's funny too, You're
- 33:55talking about just the the publicized drivers.
- 33:58I always find it interesting of, of who NASCAR puts on the
- 34:01graphics, right. So I was watching the Last
- 34:03Chance qualifier and they had that Daytona 500 preview and
- 34:07there was 5 drivers kind of in a pyramid and Joey Logano was at
- 34:11the top 'cause he's the defending champ.
- 34:13But you see, hey, like him or not, you see Bubba Wallace on a
- 34:16lot of those promotions. Well, a lot of them.
- 34:19And we know he's not one of the best drivers.
- 34:21He's he's OK, he's whatever top ten, top 15, but they do clearly
- 34:26market Bubba walls and and he does move the needle because a
- 34:30lot of people don't like him. Some people like him, but he is
- 34:33a lightning rod for the sport. OK, I'm, I'm going to be very
- 34:36controversial right now. I'm going to show you something
- 34:39that affected me so much that I that I, I took a picture and I
- 34:44put it in my phone. OK, Now here we go.
- 34:47I want to I'm going to keep it up here for a little bit.
- 34:49I want want to talk about this. Let me see, OK?
- 34:56Haters are all failures. It's 100% across the board.
- 35:00No one who is truly brilliant at anything is a hater from Joe
- 35:04Rogan. I agree 100%.
- 35:06So in other words, Rodger Penske, Rodger Penske does not
- 35:10take time to talk, you know, in other words, people that are now
- 35:17see Trump's a leader and and they they egg him on.
- 35:19So he just answers their question.
- 35:22But people that are, you know, people that own companies, they
- 35:26don't hate, see what I mean, that you might get sound bites,
- 35:31but you know, when, when you see people on social media that are
- 35:35constantly talking crap, well, they're losers, they're
- 35:38followers. They don't own businesses, you
- 35:41see what I mean? But that is a very, you know,
- 35:46that's very, that's a very big deal.
- 35:49Haters are all failures. It's 100% across the board.
- 35:53No one who is truly brilliant at anything is a hater.
- 35:58Winters are always trying to figure out how to make things
- 36:02better. They like, you know, like like
- 36:05me. I'm awesome, right?
- 36:06Because I what I just what I just said is look, yes, Kyle
- 36:13Larson is the greatest driver in the world, but I got to go hold
- 36:17on. He is the greatest driver in the
- 36:19world. But this kid over here for some
- 36:22reason moves the needle. You got to ask yourself why is
- 36:27Chase Elliott keep winning the most?
- 36:29It's not rigged people. It's that's the hater.
- 36:33That's that hater thing I just put up.
- 36:36It's not rigged. OK, That's that hater loser
- 36:39mentality. You got to ask yourself why does
- 36:44Chase Elliott keep winning the most popular driver every year?
- 36:49It's simple. If Chase Elliott, no if if Dale
- 36:57Junior was still racing, he would be the most popular
- 37:00driver. He still is, probably.
- 37:03Yes, they they they have Dale Junior souvenir trailer at the
- 37:08NASCAR Cup races based on that late model stock that he ran at
- 37:12Florence. The the fans that we have, they
- 37:20are Dale Earnhardt senior fans and they are Bill Elliott fans
- 37:24and they are sadly, Chase Ellie is our last big hope, you know
- 37:31what I mean? So that's why I always on the
- 37:33Kenny Walsh show, say we go, we don't have any superstars.
- 37:37The only one we got is Denny Hamlin, because he pisses
- 37:40everybody off so much that they come back.
- 37:43They come back, oh, I'm going to answer you, you know, but he's
- 37:47like an old Darryl Waltrip, you know, Denny runs that mouth, but
- 37:52then he shows up and leads the race and runs third.
- 37:55That's competition. You're not going to win them
- 37:58all, you know, that's competition.
- 38:02I. Feel like Kyle Busch, if Kyle
- 38:04Busch was running up front, he can get back into that category
- 38:08because obviously he likes to stir it up as well and he can
- 38:10play the villain role. Even though that's switched a
- 38:12little bit the last 2-3 years and some people are liking them,
- 38:15but I feel like there's there's another guy that people always
- 38:18say that whatever it is in, in football, you know, the sport is
- 38:22better when Notre Dame's good, the sport is better when Florida
- 38:25State's good. Whatever school you want to pick
- 38:26kind of the blue bloods. I feel like NASCAR is always
- 38:29better when Kyle Busch is is competing to win races, which he
- 38:33hasn't really done in the last year or so.
- 38:36Well, I'm going to go. I will go down this road with
- 38:40you, but I'm going to go down in a competitive manner.
- 38:44Kyle Busch wanted to keep making big money.
- 38:53And Joe Gibbs says I can't pay it out, but I can pay it a
- 38:57little less. And the little less is still
- 39:00like millions. And you know, so Kyle Busch
- 39:09believing in his talent, Kyle knowing he's one of the best
- 39:13drivers, he says, I'll go over here to Richard Childress.
- 39:18And if you remember right away, he won it at, at at Fontana.
- 39:21And it's like, oh, damn. And and Kyle Busch is a game
- 39:27changer. But now they come out with this
- 39:30new next Gen. car and it's all based on this new next Gen.
- 39:34cars, all based on engineers. So Kyle cannot make that up.
- 39:41So as great as Kyle Busch is, in a weird way, he's with the wrong
- 39:48team now. You see what I'm saying?
- 39:51He's with the wrong team now. Now, I think I'm not going to
- 39:58put words in Kyle's mouth, but I know for a fact, you know, that
- 40:04that Kyle Busch is worth as much money as Denny Hamlin.
- 40:09But you know, I know Joe Gibbs offered him as much as he could.
- 40:15And it just didn't work out. So I think there, you know,
- 40:19there again, Kyle Busch could be our superstar.
- 40:25He could be joining Danny Hamlin right now with the very big
- 40:30sound bites. But his car's not running fast
- 40:33enough. And that's all because Kyle's
- 40:36like, damn it, Joe, give me some.
- 40:38Give me some money. And you know it.
- 40:42It became a pissing match. So it it's sad that Kyle is not
- 40:47on a good horse right now. If you noticed, Austin Dillon
- 40:52didn't run good night. Neither did Kyle, but Austin
- 40:56wasn't transfer spot in that last chance race.
- 41:01And they started beating the hell out of each other, became
- 41:03desperate and yeah, getting getting back to superstars, you
- 41:08know, tonight couldn't have been any better.
- 41:11We had our most famous driver win and that's big.
- 41:14We've got listen, the head, the headline of the night is
- 41:19NASCAR's off to its best start in 20 years.
- 41:28NASCAR. I think I'll I should put that
- 41:30on X right now. Let me see.
- 41:34Now specifically, why do you think that?
- 41:36Is it because of the clash and it was so successful or other
- 41:39things as well? The reason I say that is because
- 41:43when we had the Clash at Daytona, nobody was in the
- 41:46grandstands and everybody hated NASCAR.
- 41:50Then they went to the LA Coliseum and it was considered
- 41:55not NASCAR country, you know what I mean?
- 42:00They they drink wine and eat cheese out there.
- 42:03They're not one of us. That's not country.
- 42:08You ought to bring it to Bowman Gray.
- 42:12Third time's a charm, Ben. This was all Ben Kennedy's
- 42:16ideal. I saw Ben in the Daytona
- 42:18airport. I landed here and and me and Ben
- 42:21had a nice talk and he was leaving early.
- 42:24But the reason I think this is NASCAR's best start in 30 years
- 42:29is because Daytona faded because they just tracks too big and
- 42:37then they'd wreck so much. They they didn't wreck tonight.
- 42:42They just spun out. They just, they spun out and
- 42:45kept going. They didn't tow nobody off
- 42:48tonight. They did not tow anybody off the
- 42:52track tonight. Now, there might have been a car
- 42:54to pull off Chase Briscoe and probably broke something.
- 42:59But you know, Daytona, you know, there's nobody in the
- 43:02grandstands and they're reckon and it's like, Jesus, finish
- 43:06this damn race. So they, the crowd got so bad
- 43:10for the Clash at Daytona, they said, we're done.
- 43:13You know, no different than them getting rid of Kentucky.
- 43:17They got rid of Kentucky Speedway because it was done
- 43:20then they clearly never overcame the debacle.
- 43:24Charlie, you're young. But when they first went to
- 43:26Kentucky, they opened up the racetrack a year too early and
- 43:30they didn't have enough parking. The race was halfway over and
- 43:34fans were still parking stuck on the highway.
- 43:37Never got over it. So they literally had to get rid
- 43:42of Kentucky. Never overcame that.
- 43:46The the the Chicago track, they had to shut it down and
- 43:52eventually the price of land one in California, they had to shut
- 43:57Fontana down. Guess who's still living the
- 44:01oldest track? Martinsville.
- 44:05You know, Bowman Gray. So you see, you see the pattern
- 44:11here. So it's like they just kept
- 44:14trying. And that's the reason I say that
- 44:19this is the best start for NASCAR in 30 years.
- 44:25Now. Now we got a week off.
- 44:27Let's get the Super Bowl over. We always say NASCAR season
- 44:31starts. You know, we used to have the
- 44:36Super Bowl, then the the shootout.
- 44:39This was a great this, this is another reason there I am.
- 44:42I'm talking to myself. This is another reason this is
- 44:45one of the best starts. Let's run the All Star.
- 44:48Let's run the clash now let we know nobody's bigger than the
- 44:52NFL. We can hyperventilate starting
- 44:56the night. It's all going to be about Super
- 44:59Bowl now. Get the Super Bowl cleared out
- 45:02because that's the biggest sport in America.
- 45:05And now NASCAR starts. But this was a good date to
- 45:10Charlie because there was there was nothing going on.
- 45:14I mean, football's over. Boy, that that was really good.
- 45:19What I just said, ain't it? You know what, you're right.
- 45:22I've I've thought about that. I've always thought that
- 45:25February is kind of the worst month of of the year for many
- 45:29reasons, Winter kind of blah, but also for the sports
- 45:32calendar, of course you have the Super Bowl.
- 45:36But besides that, NASCAR can really steal the headlines with
- 45:39the Daytona 500, with the Clash here.
- 45:42I mean, until until March Madness hits, there's not a lot
- 45:46going on in the month of February.
- 45:47So NASCAR can really steal a lot of headlines.
- 45:50And I think they did tonight, this weekend.
- 45:52Again, everybody takes the week off of the Super Bowl.
- 45:55Everybody in the world pays attention to the Super Bowl.
- 45:57But then if you have a great Daytona 500, I mean, the
- 46:00momentum just keeps building for NASCAR.
- 46:02I, I agree with you. I'm very excited for this
- 46:05season. NASCAR is off to its best start
- 46:09in 20 years. I love it, I love it.
- 46:13Bam, yeah, send it. I did.
- 46:18I sent it 'cause I 'cause we just broke it down for all those
- 46:21reasons. Well, now that now that we just
- 46:25thought about it, Boyd, NASCAR, they did do a good job at
- 46:30placing this race, didn't they? Because the playoffs, you know,
- 46:35the Chiefs and the Eagles, that deal finished last week, this
- 46:39week, crickets, nothing going on.
- 46:45And look at that. They put this thing on prime
- 46:47time. They showed a short track.
- 46:50They showed Denny Hamlin and people watching on a grass hill.
- 46:54They were interviewing drivers in the woods were right there
- 46:57next to him. And and all all the people that
- 47:01are local races are like, that's awesome, man.
- 47:04They're standing on the grass and like our track, I love it.
- 47:10It it just, you know, that's what I mean.
- 47:12We it was a perfect storm here. So, yeah.
- 47:18Did we have any people on here tonight?
- 47:21Oh yeah, we got 567 watching live right now on YouTube up to
- 47:27this minute and we've had so far 5300 people have been watching
- 47:35for this whole live stream. And it's interesting too,
- 47:37because we had about 500 the whole way through and even when
- 47:40the when the race ended, it picked up a little bit.
- 47:43But sometimes it's interesting to see is when people come over
- 47:47after after the race ends. But also there wasn't really a
- 47:50lot of controversy. It was a good race, but it
- 47:52wasn't real spicy. So if there would have been
- 47:55something crazy or a wreck, I think the numbers would have
- 47:57skyrocketed. You remember when I told you
- 48:00that there's people that make white noise, that they complain
- 48:03all the time? I'm going to call this guy out
- 48:06right now. Here, here's one of the guys.
- 48:12See that? Yeah, if you I don't follow the
- 48:16guy, but but he pops up all the time.
- 48:20So just like you know that Andrew Kirkland he's in meeting
- 48:25he says, you know, Noah Graxton, would you like to see this a
- 48:29points race and and and and Noah's like heck yeah, and and
- 48:35they're the guy is again, you know, being a smart ass.
- 48:39Can we just enjoy a gimmicky pre season exhibition race, please?
- 48:45What was gimmicky about it? They've been racing here since
- 48:491950. Why was it a gimmick?
- 48:52They race here every week. They, they, they run Bowman Gray
- 48:58every week. How can you consider that a
- 49:01gimmick if you race somewhere every week?
- 49:04How's that a gimmick? And like I just said, if you
- 49:08really wanted to make this a points race, you could by making
- 49:12the playoff points race basically 24.
- 49:17You know, you run, there's 40 cars.
- 49:20It's very easy to make this a points race.
- 49:22It'd be a it'd be a three day show.
- 49:25You know, you qualify on Friday, you bring in the modifieds.
- 49:32You know, you don't bring in the Bush series, you keep the home
- 49:35feel. You don't bring in the Xfinity.
- 49:37You know, that's another thing that was good.
- 49:39Did you see that crowd on Saturday morning for the mod
- 49:42race? The Mod?
- 49:44Yeah, so, so that's what I mean about the white noise.
- 49:47I want to go back to that guy that there's a here I am just
- 49:50giving you exact example. Just guy just talks crap, you
- 49:54know. So you thank you, Jackie.
- 50:00You you, you know, all you do is you come in on Friday, you
- 50:04qualify 40 cars Saturday morning.
- 50:08You run the mods, you bring in the local crowd, Burt Myers and
- 50:12all them guys are happy. And then you run, you run 2
- 50:17races with 20 cars in this race, 20 cars in that race, OK.
- 50:23And you get 24 cars and you start 24 cars in the A main
- 50:30right now, the guys that were the last ones out, they get 25th
- 50:34place points is if you were race in real, you know, right.
- 50:41See, Chris is right. A dude.
- 50:44Yeah. Charlie, let's answer some of
- 50:46these people. I know they're piling up, so
- 50:49read that one. So Chris Laney says this is in
- 50:53response to somebody calling it a gimmick.
- 50:55He says a dude ran from the tail of the field all the way to 2nd
- 50:58on 1/4 mile track. That was a good race, not a
- 51:01gimmick. Talking about Ryan Blaney, who
- 51:03started 23rd and finished second.
- 51:07Yeah, and let me. I got Rusty's TV sitting here
- 51:11saying dismiss and like, no, OK, Yeah.
- 51:15So I mean, it, it it it's it's actually an insult to the 10,000
- 51:21people that show up there every week.
- 51:23This is Bowman Gray. They race here every week.
- 51:27Doesn't even make sense to call this a gimmick.
- 51:30Why, Why? Why keep racing at Daytona when
- 51:33there's nobody in the grandstands?
- 51:34Let's put 17. Hey, like I said, one of the
- 51:39smallest crowds in NASCAR history, in modern history,
- 51:44modern, only 17,000 people there.
- 51:48But I guarantee you if they put stands in there, which they
- 51:51should never do, don't make it bigger.
- 51:54Just keep it at 17,000 and make everybody watch it.
- 51:58That's what will make it grow because it's better to save sold
- 52:02out than to put, you know, the work.
- 52:05That's the worst thing they could do.
- 52:06Not, you know, if they want to put in some sweets, that'd be
- 52:09fine, you know, but I wouldn't, you know, 17,000 sold out and
- 52:15big viewership, you know. And don't you think it looks
- 52:20better on TVI would rather see a packed 17,000.
- 52:24Look at some of the big tracks and it looks worse if you have a
- 52:28big track and the grandstands are half empty.
- 52:31And this is going to be a local analogy, but in Saint Louis.
- 52:35Saint Louis U basketball has Shafe.
- 52:38It's arena and it is not 20,000 people, it's about 10,000
- 52:42people. But it's intimate and when it's
- 52:45filled up it's really cool and it looks way better and it feels
- 52:48way better packed at 10,000 then if it was 2/3 full at 15,000 or
- 52:54look at enterprise centers 20,000.
- 52:56But like when it's packed, it feels special because it's
- 52:59smaller. Psychological One O 1.
- 53:02NASCAR knows this. That's why they got rid of the
- 53:05seats, and that's why they make those seats all those different
- 53:08colors, because what happens with the human mind is that
- 53:11people at home, they watch, they watch the race, and the first
- 53:15thing they do is go, look, there's nobody in the
- 53:17grandstands. So that convinces them that I'm
- 53:19not going. People want to go where things
- 53:22are packed. People want to go where things.
- 53:25It's like, it's like a good restaurant.
- 53:28Let's go to that restaurant that I can never get into.
- 53:30But I got to tell you nothing, Charlie.
- 53:32Texas Roadhouse aggravates the hell out of me.
- 53:35I I love Texas Roadhouse, but it makes me so mad that you got to
- 53:41get there 445 in the day just to get a seat.
- 53:45You know? It's all because of the damn
- 53:46rolls in butter. We know that and the peanuts.
- 53:50But you know what I mean. Thank you, Jan.
- 53:54I love you. I love Texas.
- 53:56Roadhouse very underrated. Yeah, but but it, like I say, it
- 54:01aggravates me that you can never get in the damn thing, but it
- 54:06keeps people coming back because they know it's that good.
- 54:10Look, here's the line. I think this is I think this is
- 54:12from Yogi Berra, who also was from Saint Louis.
- 54:16He says Ryan Lacortic says nobody goes there anymore.
- 54:19It's too crowded. I believe that's a a yogiism
- 54:23going back in the day. What do you think, Herm?
- 54:26You want to you want to close it down?
- 54:28We're we're over an hour. We're at 64 minutes.
- 54:31I know you got a big, you got a big day.
- 54:33We got a big day. We got the Herman Schrader
- 54:35tomorrow. Morning.
- 54:36Yeah, I'm tired. I'm tired.
- 54:39It's 11 O clock. Let's leave like this.
- 54:41So. So I said, I said NASCAR's off
- 54:45to its best start in 20 years. Now, remember I told you about
- 54:49those white noise people here, here.
- 54:52Jim says that was fun. The other person says what a
- 54:55race. The bumping and grinding, but
- 54:58still driving those beat up cars.
- 54:59That shorts track. Awesome.
- 55:02Now here comes the white noise. Don't worry, they'll shoot
- 55:05themselves in the foot with some controversy in the Daytona 500
- 55:10already going negative because that's the way they are.
- 55:13The other one, how will they F it up?
- 55:16If they keep coming back, they're going to have to add
- 55:20more seats. So that was pretty good.
- 55:22That was that was 7. That was four people, only one
- 55:26guy negative. So we're making gains,
- 55:28everybody. We're making gains.
- 55:31Hi, Charlie. So.
- 55:34There he is, Chase Elliott, the Bobby Allison Memorial Trophy.
- 55:39Good race, good weekend, good show, good live stream.
- 55:43Herm. Appreciate it.
- 55:44Thank you everybody for watching.
- 55:46Thanks for all the comments, the questions, the Super chats.
- 55:49Thank you to Jags. Jags, you saw the Sunoco Race
- 55:53fuel coffee mug as well. Kenny will be down there in
- 55:56Volusia. Sorry, Ormond Beach, right?
- 55:58All week, racing, podcasting. The guy never sleeps.
- 56:02He never stops working. I'm like you, Charlie.
- 56:05You work harder than me. All right, Charlie, will you
- 56:08just take it away, buddy? I love you.
- 56:10And by the way, everybody, that's the man right there.
- 56:13He's the one that asked me three years ago to do all this.
- 56:18And even this live stream was Charlie's ideal.
- 56:20About a month ago, he said should we start doing this at
- 56:23the end of a handful of races through the year?
- 56:25So Charlie, if if we both got energy, we'll try this a couple
- 56:30more times, maybe even the Daytona 500, maybe some of our
- 56:34races that make sense. For sure or or just a post game
- 56:38if there's a big if there's a big finish for sure.
- 56:40Yeah, All right. Thanks her and.
- 56:41We're both home. All right, there we go.
- 56:43No doubt. All right.
- 56:45See you guys. Thanks a lot.
