- 0:01Hello, welcome to He's Hop. But something's off with me.
- 0:03Just Joey T First of all, I want to say thank you to everyone
- 0:07that's left the tip on my YouTube channel for these
- 0:10podcasts. There is a tipping feature on
- 0:15some YouTube channels. Mine's monetized so it's turned
- 0:18on on my channel, but I didn't even know because I've never
- 0:23usually go into the comments section for.
- 0:26Almost anything, but I learned really early on to not pay that
- 0:30much attention to comments that people make, especially
- 0:33something just like put out onto the Internet to like the public.
- 0:37So all my YouTube channels are public videos, so anyone on the
- 0:41Internet can just go and watch them, but they can also leave a
- 0:45comment. And when my videos got a little
- 0:48bit of popularity maybe like, I don't know.
- 0:52Four or five, six years ago. That's when I start to notice
- 0:55some of the comments are not super nice.
- 0:57So that's when I learned to not really go into the comments and
- 1:02pretty much just pay not much attention to them.
- 1:06But for these podcasts, it's a new thing I'm doing and I am
- 1:10posting them to my YouTube channel.
- 1:12Once in a great while when I remember to, I'll peek into the
- 1:15comments section for the video version of this podcast on
- 1:20YouTube. It's also available on Spotify,
- 1:21by the way, and there's been a couple of times where some of
- 1:25you have left me a tip in the comments for these podcasts,
- 1:30video podcast episodes on YouTube.
- 1:31So thank you so much for doing that.
- 1:33I really do appreciate it. The funny thing is, I've never
- 1:36gone a tip for any other video that I've ever posted.
- 1:40Not that I think so anyways, cuz I haven't really checked.
- 1:43But yeah, some of my most popular videos I've gone
- 1:46hundreds of thousands of views or something.
- 1:48I don't think I've ever gotten a tip for those.
- 1:50So yeah, just thank you so much. And I did have one listener
- 1:54asked me recently about, and I actually going to do the Patreon
- 1:59so I can talk them out, maybe some of the more juicy things.
- 2:02And it's something I really would love to do.
- 2:05And my response to that listener was, well, two things for right
- 2:08now, A1, I'm not sure if there's enough interest to do a Patreon.
- 2:14And if I were to do a patron, I want to make sure that this a
- 2:16patron is paid. You'd be paying like three or
- 2:19five or whatever amount of dollars per month for it.
- 2:22I want to make sure that if I'm taking your money, I can
- 2:25definitely give you all all the subscribers, something that is
- 2:31going to be worth your money every single month.
- 2:33I would like it to be a little bit more than just like an extra
- 2:36podcast every one or two weeks or whatever.
- 2:40But I'm not really done at Patreon before.
- 2:42I don't know what all the features and things are.
- 2:44I think there's a internal forum for all the members to.
- 2:50Like kind of chat and stuff like that.
- 2:51And I think I can interact directly with all the
- 2:54subscribers, something like that.
- 2:56But yeah, if you still want me to do a Patreon, I just want to
- 2:59make sure that. It's going to be worth people's
- 3:03money to sign up. And there's enough of you that
- 3:05might want to sign up to basically make it worth your
- 3:08while. You know, I want to.
- 3:09If I'm taking your money, I want to take it seriously.
- 3:11But yeah, leave a comment in, I guess the YouTube comment
- 3:15section for any of my podcast videos.
- 3:18Yeah, if you want that to happen.
- 3:19But I'm so interested in doing that now.
- 3:22One thing I've always wanted to talk about on the podcast was
- 3:27the gym, because I go to the gym all the time.
- 3:29I go like six days a week. Week and I have a lot of
- 3:34opinions on the gym in general, but let me preface it by saying
- 3:42this. I don't care what you're really
- 3:47doing at the gym in terms like the exercises.
- 3:50I am not a trainer, I'm not a fitness professional, I go to
- 3:54gym all the time. But that doesn't really give me
- 3:57much qualification on saying, oh, whether your form is good or
- 4:00not, or whether you're doing exercises properly, or whether
- 4:04you know those are the right exercises you should be doing, I
- 4:06mean. Everyone has like thoughts in
- 4:09their head, but for most people going through the gym, they
- 4:11should probably just keep those thoughts to themselves when
- 4:13they're looking at other people working out.
- 4:16But the one thing I will say about me at the gym personally
- 4:20is I give a lot of resting bitch face at the gym.
- 4:25Not intentionally, but when I'm at the gym.
- 4:29I have my spreadsheet that is the list of exercises I'm
- 4:33supposed to do that day. I know how many reps and sets of
- 4:36each exercise I'm supposed to do.
- 4:38I know the order of exercises to do a man.
- 4:40I know which piece of equipment I need to use.
- 4:43So for me, when I go to the gym, it's very much like, OK, go down
- 4:46the list, do these things and then leave.
- 4:49The gym is not a social place for me, I think.
- 4:55For a lot of people, they do know what have they have gym
- 4:59buddies or they know a lot of other people that go to the same
- 5:04gym. So like, they socialize.
- 5:05That's great. I'm not opposed to socializing.
- 5:10I should probably do more, honestly, because I'm such an
- 5:12introvert. I'm so independent.
- 5:14But when I'm at the gym already have this mindset that OK, I
- 5:18need to do these exercises and I need to hit these targets.
- 5:23And then once I'm done to the gym, I'm very tired.
- 5:24Even during the exercises I'm like very, very tired.
- 5:28But I'm trying to like push myself to do more reps or
- 5:31heavyweights or more sets every single time that I have at the
- 5:34gym. That's why I write everything
- 5:36down. I did maybe like 20 push ups
- 5:38this time. So next time I go I try to do 21
- 5:41or try to do 20-2, maybe I bench press like £150.00.
- 5:45So next time I try 155 hundred 60.
- 5:48So that's really kind of where my head is at whenever I'm at
- 5:52the gym. Which combined with my natural
- 5:56RBF and combined with like my just focus on like pushing and
- 6:01like all that stuff, does not, I think, make me look very
- 6:07approachable at the gym because I'm tired.
- 6:11I'm like trying to push really hard to like do better every
- 6:14time on each other exercises and my natural RBF I don't look very
- 6:18approachable. Maybe I even look a little
- 6:20angry, but that's not intentional.
- 6:23So if you ever like see me at the gym and I look like pissed
- 6:27off, well, I I could maybe be upset about something and I'm
- 6:31just channeled that energy, that negative energy into like my
- 6:34workouts, which for me I usually gives me pretty good physical
- 6:39results if I channel some sort of anger into my exercise.
- 6:43However, 90% of time just know that I'm not actually upset or
- 6:48angry or pissed off. I'm just.
- 6:51Well, natural RBF #1 and #2. I'm just probably focusing very
- 6:55hard on like the exercises themselves.
- 7:00I hope I'm not like scaring other people at the gym with
- 7:04like the way I look. The only thing that me
- 7:08personally that might upset me when I'm at the gym is people
- 7:14that don't have very good gym etiquette.
- 7:18Now there's no. There's not a lot of set rules
- 7:21like heart rules when you go to the gym, right?
- 7:24Like the gym itself might have rules for like certain things
- 7:29like you know, maybe like they don't want to have food on the
- 7:32floor of the on the on the in the gym or something like that,
- 7:35But I think. What's so much more impressive
- 7:39to me is not the Super muscular people that can bench press like
- 7:44£3000 or can do like a million push ups or anything like that.
- 7:48The people that are courteous at the gym, even if they don't look
- 7:52like they know what they're doing at the gym in terms of the
- 7:56exercises, or even if they're like not even using weights or
- 8:00like if they're using like the lightest weights possible or
- 8:02something. I don't care about that.
- 8:04Everyone's got their own fitness goals, but like what?
- 8:07I really admire and respect are the people who are courteous at
- 8:11the gym and realize that the gym is a public space that is shared
- 8:16with others. And you have a lot of equipment
- 8:18that everyone is wanting to use. And if you are like courteous
- 8:22and you're aware of that, you're respectful of others because it
- 8:25is a shared space, that is what is going to be most impressive.
- 8:29Like the guy who's bench pressing 1,000,000 pounds, I
- 8:31could give a toss about, you know that that doesn't impress
- 8:36me. Literally that.
- 8:38You know, like putting the weights back where they're
- 8:40supposed to be. Like there's a a rack where all
- 8:43the dumbbell weights are supposed to go.
- 8:46A lot of people don't put the weights back onto the rack.
- 8:49They're just like just leave them on the floor.
- 8:51Like that's, I consider it to be not great Jim etiquette, right?
- 8:57Like, put the weights back where they're supposed to be, you
- 9:00know, the weight the dumbbell rack is marked with.
- 9:03About exactly which weights are supposed to go where, but that's
- 9:06where people are going to look for the weights.
- 9:08You know you don't want to like leave it in some random corner
- 9:10of the gym because that's not very courteous because other
- 9:14people might want to use those weights.
- 9:15Those dumbbells is in a random corner of the gym far away from
- 9:18the rack and it's like no what else can use them.
- 9:21This sounds like common sense, but there have been times where
- 9:25like I find weights and equipment, I find dumbbells that
- 9:28are in like a random corner of the gym and some could have
- 9:31easily just. Pick those weights up and put
- 9:35them back on the weight rack. So it's stuff like that.
- 9:38That's what I mean by like the general gym etiquette.
- 9:42There's not like a hard rule that says you must put the
- 9:45weights back, Although pretty much every gym I ever went to
- 9:48have little signs where the weight rack is to remind people
- 9:51to please put the weights back when they're done with it.
- 9:55So things like that. It's where I'm like.
- 9:59I I get sometimes a little upset, you know, like it's it's
- 10:02a shared space, especially it's like rush hour.
- 10:04That's like a bunch of people at the gym.
- 10:06The gym. Sometimes it's tight.
- 10:08There are a lot of people that go at like 4 or five or 6:00 PM,
- 10:11but that's maybe the only time they can go.
- 10:13Just a little courtesy and just, you know, like put the weights
- 10:16back, you know, just little things like that.
- 10:18Wipe down the bench. You really sometimes are not
- 10:21aware how sweaty you are. So you know, just at least with
- 10:24your tower, like a wet wipe or something, just, you know, wipe
- 10:27down the wipe down the bench. Just little things like that.
- 10:30Those are the things that sometimes at the gym pisses me
- 10:34off just a little bit. The other thing about the gym
- 10:38is. At my gym, at least, there are a
- 10:42lot of gay guys that go there. It's the crunch in West
- 10:45Hollywood is one of the gayest gyms I've been to, and that's
- 10:49probably why I go anyways. There are sometimes when you're
- 10:54working out, you're just in the gym and sometimes you may like
- 10:58in advert eye contact with someone, and I can never tell.
- 11:04Well, maybe this is not maybe not gym specific.
- 11:07It's just like life in general. I can never tell if someone's
- 11:10looking at me because it was like an accidental glance or if
- 11:14they're looking at me because like I have a booger on my face
- 11:19or like I've got. I don't know, something is up
- 11:22with how I look. Or if like oh are they checking
- 11:26you out because all the looks are the same and especially in
- 11:31the gym situation I. Am too focused on my exercises
- 11:36to really know. First of all I'm not there to
- 11:38socialize like I said, and 2nd I'm like to focus on my
- 11:42exercises to decipher what kind of look someone's giving me.
- 11:46Are you giving me a look because like I left a bench dirty by
- 11:50accident or like that I spill my drink or something and I didn't
- 11:52notice Like I don't know what it is.
- 11:56So this is like something that I'm thinking about Sometimes
- 12:00this gives me anxiety in public, but at the gym I can definitely
- 12:04tell there are some there. A lot of the folks that I see at
- 12:08the gym are regulars, and I see them all the time.
- 12:11But because I'm not there to socialize, I don't actually know
- 12:13who they are and sometimes I can't tell.
- 12:16Are you looking at me but you're checking me out, or are you
- 12:18looking at me because I did something wrong?
- 12:21Are you looking at me because? You think the exercise I'm doing
- 12:25is funky or do I? Do I do.
- 12:27I have like some snack coming out of my nose so I I never
- 12:30really know. It is like because it's such
- 12:33like a gay gym. I feel like it is like a little
- 12:35bit flirty and thirsty. I heard some stories about.
- 12:40Some things that have happened at that gym in like the locker
- 12:44rooms for example, which I'm not going to go into, I don't think
- 12:48Spotify or YouTube or whatever would like me sharing those type
- 12:51of stories. Again, these are the types of
- 12:52things maybe I can talk about on a Patreon.
- 12:56But yeah, I've definitely heard some stories of some things that
- 13:00have gone on. So it is maybe like a slightly
- 13:02thirsty gym, but The thing is in the locker room.
- 13:06I'm there to, like, put my bag away and change.
- 13:09Usually I change in the house into my gym clothes.
- 13:12Then I walk to the gym. So when I go to locker room, I
- 13:15just put my bag away and lock it, grab my water bottle and
- 13:18gloves and I don't shower at the gym.
- 13:22When I'm done at the gym, go to the locker room, I grab my stuff
- 13:25and I just walk out. I don't even change.
- 13:27Once I get home, I'll change or shower or do whatever.
- 13:31I don't really see the point personally to like shower in the
- 13:37gym. 01 thing today I walked. I went to the gym today and.
- 13:43In the locker rooms and I was just walking down to where I
- 13:47usually pick a locker. And then there was this guy that
- 13:51had he was naked with a towel. He was about to shower or he had
- 13:56just showered I guess. And he had one foot like up on
- 14:00the bench like spread eagle and like the only thing kind of sort
- 14:04of covering it was like a locker door that was like open and.
- 14:11I saw it just like out of the corner of my eye, and I kind of
- 14:14make it a point to like, not look and stare in the locker
- 14:21room. Like if someone's like changing
- 14:22or whatever and my locker is nearby, I'll probably like face
- 14:25away. From them.
- 14:26Not because I think they're like nasty or discussing or whatever,
- 14:30but like, it's not a place where like you want to gawk and
- 14:34whatever, you know, like maybe some of the guys like it.
- 14:37Some of the guys are pretty thirsty in there, some of them
- 14:39actually pretty hot. But you know, I don't want to
- 14:42make it uncomfortable for anyone when all you're doing is just
- 14:44getting changed and I'm not there to like.
- 14:47Check out anyone's goods either so like, I try to like not stare
- 14:52or look at people like in the locker room if they're like
- 14:55changing or just in a tower naked or whatever.
- 14:58But like this guy, I guess he was on his phone or something
- 15:00and he just like one leg, just like propped up on the bench
- 15:03wide open, like, yeah, and like and.
- 15:08I grabbed the locker near by, but it was like facing away from
- 15:11him. So I was like grabbing my shoes,
- 15:13grabbing my gloves, you know, doing, doing my thing, just
- 15:15putting my bag away, putting something to the locker and
- 15:17probably like a minutes gone by. And then I kind of turned to
- 15:22like leave the locker room and she's still in the exact same
- 15:26post. He's got like one leg on the
- 15:27ground, the other legs on the bench, legs wide open,
- 15:31completely naked. He had a towel on, but I don't
- 15:33think his his tow was definitely not covering.
- 15:36The candy store, it was like around the back of his waist or
- 15:40like around his neck or something like that.
- 15:42And I was like is that a it's not a little too obvious that
- 15:46you're fishing for some action like that In no in in no way can
- 15:54that be like a natural pose that he inadvertently.
- 15:58Like took on by he was distracted by being on his
- 16:01phone. Like you can't be senator naked
- 16:031 lick on the bench licks wide open like spread out and that
- 16:07can't be like a natural post for anyone.
- 16:09So yeah, that was interesting to see.
- 16:14I mean there there are a lot of thirsty gay guys that go there.
- 16:17Anyways, changing topic now. I've been on this career break
- 16:20for a good seven or eight months.
- 16:25Now what I've realized this week is.
- 16:28I think I'm ready to go back to work like a nine to five.
- 16:32There are side hustles that I'm working on to bring in a little
- 16:36bit of money, which has been fun to kind of like concentrate on.
- 16:40But you know, a side hustle is just that.
- 16:42It's just a side hustle, a little extra money.
- 16:45It's not gonna like pay my mortgage or anything.
- 16:48And I am trying to start up a business, but it's not.
- 16:54So time and labor intensive, the business that it I I can't also
- 17:01have like a full time job at the same time as doing that.
- 17:04And I think I'm ready to go back to work.
- 17:08Yeah, I think I'm ready to do like a regular day job and to do
- 17:14like a nine to five. So I've been thinking about this
- 17:18a lot and I've been trying to not give myself.
- 17:23Too much guilt for taking this time off because I very much
- 17:29have this mindset, probably part of kind of growing up and I was
- 17:33taught to like always have like a steady paycheck.
- 17:36So when I don't have a steady paycheck, there's always this
- 17:40part of my brain that gets like very, very nervous.
- 17:42And it's telling me like your slacker, stop slacking off, go
- 17:45get a job and go get a paycheck, so.
- 17:50That is still always a little bit there and I manage it, but I
- 17:54think I'm at the point now where I can do a nine to five and not
- 18:00rip my hair out, which was the state that I was in back in
- 18:04December. I have been even like three or
- 18:08four months ago. I have been casually for a while
- 18:11now looking at different job postings.
- 18:14In the IT world and I think I would probably want to return to
- 18:17that type of IT rule I had before and but nowadays I think
- 18:22I'm ready to like step it up a little bit.
- 18:25Unfortunately, there hasn't been that many IT roles that I've
- 18:29been seeing that's kind of like what I want to do and I
- 18:33mentioned this once before, I think on the last podcast I'm
- 18:37going to be pickier about the type of company I work for.
- 18:41I can't just be like. For a lack of term like a boring
- 18:45company where I don't really feel a connection to what they
- 18:47do, it's going to have to be like something slightly
- 18:49interesting, something I feel some amount of passion about.
- 18:53I think this was talked about a lot in terms of millennials
- 18:58recently or maybe it's been a few years where they said.
- 19:02Must be written by people that are not millennials, but they're
- 19:05saying millennials a place more emphasis on working for an
- 19:10organization that they feel some sort of a passion about where
- 19:16they can get behind like the cause, quote UN quote, of that
- 19:20organization, of that company. You know, that's more important
- 19:22to millennials than a lot of other.
- 19:26Cohorts, especially all the cohorts, whereas maybe for some
- 19:30boomers or something, it's like, well, a job's a job, just go do
- 19:33it. So there are people that made
- 19:36fun of that. So it almost feels a little bit
- 19:40silly to say that now, but I really feel that that was true.
- 19:43This was last year when I was on the job hunt last summer.
- 19:47That's where I switched from my job to another.
- 19:49And when I was doing that job hunt, there was the Trevor
- 19:52Project actually I remember had. A job posting for a head of it
- 19:59that I thought, wow, this is like an organization I would
- 20:03love to be a part of. This is the type of role that I
- 20:07that's kind of up my alley that I would be like challenged on
- 20:11that I think do really, really well.
- 20:14They didn't get back to me which is like hey, like no, completely
- 20:18fine, right. You know you you do a job
- 20:20posting. You get hundreds of applicants.
- 20:21You know you can't reply to everyone.
- 20:23You know, no, it will. Obviously, I love the Trevor
- 20:26Project. I love what they do.
- 20:27But to be able to find some sort of organization where I really
- 20:31identify and kind of support what they do that has the type
- 20:37of role, which is the type of IT role that I want is a little bit
- 20:40difficult. But yeah, I think I'm ready to
- 20:43like look in a more serious capacity for a job.
- 20:47So what I'm telling myself is OK.
- 20:52We we're probably not going to find the the ideal dream job
- 20:55tomorrow or even maybe for like a few months, but we need to
- 20:58like put in some effort now but just don't stress out so much if
- 21:03nothing good materializes for like a few months.
- 21:07So I'm not pushing myself too hard to have like a hard
- 21:10deadline for when I need to have the job again.
- 21:13The side hustle is bringing in. Just enough money to have things
- 21:17be comfortable to not have that day job for a little while now
- 21:22and I'm just trying to not make myself feel bad that it will
- 21:27take a little bit of time before I will have that day job again.
- 21:31And in the meantime, I'm just trying to give myself permission
- 21:33to like. Just enjoy the summer basically.
- 21:38So I've got some trips coming up that I would like to take.
- 21:41Nothing set in stone yet. I would love to go onto the Med
- 21:47cruise, the Atlantis Mediterranean cruise in August
- 21:51slash September. So that's something I'm looking
- 21:54into right now. I wanted to go down to Sydney
- 21:57Ashley because it's winter in Sydney, the southern hemisphere.
- 22:01And I've got a lot of good friends down there and I
- 22:04thought, oh, it's offseason. Maybe the tickets will be kind
- 22:07of cheap. They're not as cheap as I
- 22:08thought. So unfortunately I had to Nix
- 22:11that idea. But I just just, I did just book
- 22:14a trip back to Vancouver to visit family in a couple of
- 22:18weeks. I'm thinking about maybe doing
- 22:20market days in Chicago, but I love market day so much is so
- 22:24much fun. I don't have that many, like of
- 22:29my closer friends that are going this.
- 22:31This year. But there's also other stuff
- 22:32going on. But I do know people, some
- 22:35people in Chicago. So I was like, oh, maybe I'll
- 22:36just fly there solo and just kind of make it a trip and just,
- 22:41yeah, have some fun. And I'm also thinking about
- 22:44trips further down the year as well.
- 22:46David Lam and I were just talking about White Party
- 22:48Bangkok for New Year's and that we actually did some bookings on
- 22:53that opportunistically this past weekend.
- 22:56Yeah. So it's a lot to look forward
- 22:59to. I do kind of I am at the point
- 23:02somehow that I think I'm, I'm ready to do the 9:00 to 5:00 and
- 23:11assuming I can find a company that I care enough for in terms
- 23:15of what they do in their mission.
- 23:16Assuming I have like a good manager, there's like a good
- 23:20team, there's good people and there's like a good culture, I
- 23:22think I could be happy again doing the IT and the 9:00 to
- 23:265:00. So that's like a little bit of a
- 23:29milestone. I was kind of sort of waiting
- 23:31for that point to come around ever since I started the career
- 23:35break because when I saw the career break, it was like, OK,
- 23:39I'm burnt to help doing the 9:00 to 5:00.
- 23:42The only thing I knew was I need to, like, stop doing this for my
- 23:45own sanity and for my mental health.
- 23:48And I took the break and I already had a few trips planned
- 23:52for the beginning of that break and then a few months in after
- 23:55all these trips were over. It was a little bit like
- 24:00purgatory. Kind of.
- 24:03I don't know if that's like, the right word or thing to compare
- 24:07it to, but it was like, OK, I'm on this break.
- 24:11I have kind of gone on a few vacations and had my play time
- 24:15for a few months now. What next?
- 24:19It was kind of sort of like floating in the ether for like a
- 24:21little bit from like March until now I have you know, like
- 24:27without that though, I wouldn't have had the idea to like try to
- 24:30start my own business. So that was one thing that came
- 24:33out of it. I wouldn't have been able to
- 24:35advance so my side hustles if I didn't have like the extra time
- 24:39and extra focus. I was able to kind of dedicate
- 24:42to the side hustle so there's that too but those are it wasn't
- 24:48really I was I kept on thinking what is like the goal what's the
- 24:52thing I'm trying to achieve now with the career break like
- 24:55what's what's going on like what's next you know so but I
- 24:59think I'm finally at the point now I don't know where it popped
- 25:03up. It was actually I couldn't tell
- 25:04you like this was something I was working towards.
- 25:06It was like a road map I was following because I was not
- 25:09following any road map. I was just.
- 25:11Like, blindfold on, just fooling around in the dark.
- 25:14I don't know what was happening, what was going on, but am I
- 25:16supposed to feel a certain way at a certain point of time?
- 25:19Yeah. But yeah, luckily this, this,
- 25:24this kind of milestone happened out of nowhere.
- 25:26And yeah, I think I'm ready to go back to work, which is great
- 25:31if you know any IT jobs. Can you come in the YouTube
- 25:34section for this video? And then maybe I will put them
- 25:38up. All right, I want to wrap up
- 25:42this episode of the podcast. Like, I wrapped up most episodes
- 25:45of the podcast, talking just a little bit about Ru Paul's Drag
- 25:49Race All Stars with some stars season eight.
- 25:52We've made it to the final two. And the previous episode that
- 25:57aired just now was the Fame Games talent extravaganza.
- 26:02And I thought it was great that all the Queens bar Heidi.
- 26:06Were able to come back and kind of have a whole episode just
- 26:10above them basically. And they were all each able to
- 26:14basically have some stage time to kind of do kind of whatever
- 26:18they want for like a minute. So that was like really, really
- 26:23awesome. I love seeing Lala Reeves
- 26:25performance. I really liked, I love Jessica
- 26:28Wild's performance as well. I love nature Lopez's
- 26:31performance. I also really liked as well the
- 26:34twist that they had with like. The two X3 X 4X points were like
- 26:38the top two of the returning Queens that Mama Root picked.
- 26:44I don't know how I feel about that it was.
- 26:49This might sound a little pessimistic, but it almost felt
- 26:51like this was production's way to basically control the
- 26:56narrative and. Heavily biased.
- 26:59The Fame games in favor of 2 Queens in particular is to give
- 27:04some like 2X and 3X as many points as everyone else.
- 27:08That's a huge, huge, huge advantage.
- 27:11So we obviously probably don't get to see what the tally is at
- 27:15the end. So I felt like this was maybe a
- 27:19way for production to be like, well, we want it to be like.
- 27:23One of these two people, or we wanted to be like this person,
- 27:27let's devise a quote UN quote twist that we can put into the
- 27:32show at this last minute so that it makes it look like to
- 27:37basically to have it as an excuse for when we pick one of
- 27:42these two winners, that it kind of still looks organic, right?
- 27:46Honestly, they didn't even have to like, do this twist.
- 27:49For that, if production wants someone to win the Fame Games,
- 27:51like they're just going to say, oh, the winner is so and so and
- 27:54like, but they never are going to review the tally of the votes
- 27:57for the Fame games anyways. But this extra twist, I felt
- 28:00like, I don't know if if it felt a little unnecessary.
- 28:05It almost makes it look like it's rigged.
- 28:10I mean, even if it is rigged, like you don't have to tell
- 28:12people just keep that silent, right?
- 28:14They could have just had everyone do their talent.
- 28:18And then, you know, everyone got the critiques and it was like,
- 28:21hey, go over the fame game. So like, I don't know how I feel
- 28:24about them doing this. Like top two fame game Queens,
- 28:272X3X points or whatever. I think I could have just have
- 28:31done without that, to be completely honest.
- 28:33All right. And that wraps up another
- 28:35episode of the podcast again. If you want me to do a Patreon
- 28:39and yeah, ideas for, like, juicy topics you would like to have me
- 28:44talk about or, yeah, it would just like the idea of me doing a
- 28:49Patreon, please let me know. Like, I will do it and I will
- 28:53put in the effort to make sure it's worth, like.
- 28:56All the time. Of all the people that would
- 28:57subscribe to it, I really would want to do like a really good
- 29:00job for you guys not so Remember we have the video version of
- 29:03this podcast on not just my YouTube channel, just Joey T,
- 29:07but also on Spotify as well. And to next time, bye.
