- 0:05Speaker 1: Launch Control, this is Houston.
- 0:07Speaker 2: We are going to launch.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Five, four, three, two, one.
- 0:13Speaker 2: That's Chris X Radio.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Chris X Radio.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Chris X Radio.
- 0:21Speaker 4: What we need right now is a clear message to
- 0:24Speaker 4: the people of this country. This message must be read
- 0:27Speaker 4: in every newspaper, heard on every radio, seen.
- 0:29Speaker 5: On every television.
- 0:30Speaker 4: This message must resound throughout the entire interlink.
- 0:34Speaker 2: And now, your host.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I believe this is going.
- 0:36Speaker 6: To be our finest hour.
- 0:38Speaker 7: Chris X.
- 0:53Speaker 8: And welcome back to The Voice of Texas. Thanks for
- 0:56Speaker 8: joining us on a Tuesday drive home afternoon. You don't
- 1:01Speaker 8: have the X-Man on the radio today. You have the
- 1:03Speaker 8: Strew with the view, Ben Strewzan, subbing for the X-Man
- 1:07Speaker 8: and taking all your comments and questions. So give us
- 1:10Speaker 8: a call, 281-558-5738 or pound KSEV for our Verizon callers.
- 1:16Speaker 8: I see my buddy Lucas is sitting in the driveway.
- 1:20Speaker 8: Main chair today. Lucas, I don't think you have ever
- 1:23Speaker 8: done a show. Well, I know you've done them for
- 1:26Speaker 8: the Amigos before, right? But this is the first time
- 1:29Speaker 8: you and I have ever done a show. And, you know,
- 1:31Speaker 8: I had your colleague on, you know, maybe six or
- 1:35Speaker 8: eight months ago, the last time I did a show
- 1:37Speaker 8: with the professor who now has his own show, between
- 1:41Speaker 8: five and six, right after the Chris X-Man show. And
- 1:44Speaker 8: I challenged him to come up with.
- 1:46Speaker 3: A little better music.
- 1:48Speaker 8: Than what he was providing for Chris X. So I'm
- 1:52Speaker 8: making the same challenge to you. You know, it's just
- 1:56Speaker 8: a question of taste, but what can I say? I
- 1:59Speaker 8: have great taste.
- 2:00Speaker 3: You know that, right? I do.
- 2:01Speaker 8: So I think you need to come up with some
- 2:05Speaker 8: really good music going in and going out. You can
- 2:08Speaker 8: always default to some of our Amigos music.
- 2:12Speaker 3: I always approve of that.
- 2:13Speaker 8: But I'm sure you can find some great stuff that,
- 2:17Speaker 8: You know, we'll probably, you know, forget the Metallica, you know, sound.
- 2:22Speaker 8: I don't particularly like that. Or, you know, I do
- 2:25Speaker 8: kind of like the, well, I would say country western because,
- 2:30Speaker 8: you know, I do like that. But, you know, we
- 2:33Speaker 8: don't have to go there. But maybe some of the,
- 2:37Speaker 8: you know, 80s and 90s stuff.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Got it. You know, the good stuff.
- 2:41Speaker 9: Okay.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Some of the good stuff. Play the good stuff, Sam.
- 2:43Speaker 10: The good stuff.
- 2:44Speaker 7: I'll be looking.
- 2:44Speaker 3: The good stuff, Sam. You know what I'm talking about.
- 2:46Speaker 11: Yes, sir.
- 2:46Speaker 7: Okay.
- 2:47Speaker 3: You've seen that movie?
- 2:48Speaker 12: I have.
- 2:49Speaker 13: All right.
- 2:49Speaker 14: All right.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Great.
- 2:50Speaker 3: All right, folks.
- 2:52Speaker 8: In any event, thanks for joining us on the Chris
- 2:54Speaker 8: X Show and on KSEV 700. We have so many
- 2:59Speaker 8: ways now for you to listen.
- 3:01Speaker 3: To the KSEV broadcast.
- 3:03Speaker 8: My favorite one is to go to ksevradio.com and listen
- 3:10Speaker 8: to our show and watch our live streaming simultaneously. which
- 3:16Speaker 8: is why they call that a simultaneously streaming live broadcast.
- 3:22Speaker 8: And we have that going on right now on Twitter,
- 3:25Speaker 8: or you could call it X if you are so inclined. Facebook,
- 3:29Speaker 8: for those of you that are kind of, what, is
- 3:33Speaker 8: that considered too old, Facebook?
- 3:35Speaker 3: Is that an older crowd?
- 3:37Speaker 10: It's getting there.
- 3:38Speaker 15: Okay.
- 3:39Speaker 8: And, of course, YouTube, I've done that before, sitting in
- 3:42Speaker 8: my living room watching television. And want to find out
- 3:45Speaker 8: what they're talking about at KSEV.
- 3:47Speaker 3: So I just.
- 3:48Speaker 8: Click over to the YouTube and I watch it. YouTube.com
- 3:52Speaker 8: on KSEVradio.com. So we have some great ways.
- 3:56Speaker 3: And, of course, Rumble.
- 3:57Speaker 8: I can't forget that one. I don't know if we
- 3:58Speaker 8: had it anymore or if that's what we're using right now.
- 4:01Speaker 16: That's everything we've got.
- 4:02Speaker 10: You covered it.
- 4:02Speaker 3: That's what we're using.
- 4:04Speaker 8: And we have a new download on our app. So
- 4:08Speaker 8: I'll tell you right now, if you have the old
- 4:10Speaker 8: app and if you want to listen live, you could
- 4:13Speaker 8: still do that. For the most part, people have been
- 4:16Speaker 8: able to convert from the old app to the new
- 4:18Speaker 8: app without too much trouble. I had to actually delete
- 4:22Speaker 8: the old app and just download the new app from
- 4:26Speaker 8: the App Store.
- 4:26Speaker 3: I have an iPhone, and if you have an iPhone,
- 4:29Speaker 3: it's easy to get.
- 4:30Speaker 8: We're still working on the Android version, but you can
- 4:34Speaker 8: listen to us on our website, or you can just
- 4:37Speaker 8: download the new app and listen to us.
- 4:39Speaker 3: It is really, really something great. to check out.
- 4:45Speaker 8: And you can push a button on our new app
- 4:47Speaker 8: and actually watch live streaming of the show going on
- 4:50Speaker 8: right now. So best not to do that when you're
- 4:53Speaker 8: driving in the car, but if you're like me, you
- 4:56Speaker 8: connect your phone to your software via Bluetooth in your car,
- 5:02Speaker 8: and you just hit your KSEV app and hit play,
- 5:05Speaker 8: and presto change-o, you're listening to the Chris X Show,
- 5:11Speaker 8: which is... temporarily and one day only, hosted by myself,
- 5:15Speaker 8: Ben Struzan, the Stru with a Vue.
- 5:18Speaker 3: All right, so I got all of that out of
- 5:20Speaker 3: the way, and let's go.
- 5:22Speaker 8: For something that we're really looking forward to later on
- 5:27Speaker 8: this evening. Do you know what I'm talking about, Lucas?
- 5:30Speaker 8: Do you have any idea what I'm talking about? What
- 5:32Speaker 8: is going to happen later on this evening? You need
- 5:35Speaker 8: to pop your feet up, sit in a recliner, grab
- 5:39Speaker 8: some popcorn, grab a couple of brewskis, turn on the TV,
- 5:44Speaker 8: and what are you going to be watching?
- 5:46Speaker 17: No, I actually don't know. I'm very sorry.
- 5:48Speaker 16: What do we got?
- 5:49Speaker 8: You and me and the rest of the world are
- 5:52Speaker 8: going to be watching the Indiana Fever play the New
- 5:55Speaker 8: York Liberty.
- 5:57Speaker 3: That's right, folks.
- 5:58Speaker 8: A WNBA game, also known as WWE basketball, where we
- 6:04Speaker 8: can find all the players that we like and love
- 6:08Speaker 8: duking it out with all the ones we don't. And
- 6:11Speaker 8: I'm really looking forward to that, what they used to
- 6:14Speaker 8: call that, a celebrity death match?
- 6:17Speaker 16: Yes, on MTV.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Yeah, celebrity death match with the WNBA.
- 6:23Speaker 8: And we're going to get our sports WNBA superstar, know-it-all
- 6:29Speaker 8: guy in here in the second hour, Craig Collins, who's
- 6:32Speaker 8: going to update us on everything going on in the NBA.
- 6:35Speaker 8: And I'm sure he caught that story about, what is it,
- 6:37Speaker 8: the attorney general in Florida saying, may file charges against
- 6:41Speaker 8: whatever that lady's name was that did the, they called
- 6:47Speaker 8: it a hard foul, but it looked, you know, more
- 6:49Speaker 8: like a, well, I'd call it more.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Like a, in football, what do you call it?
- 6:57Speaker 8: Like a hairline tackle or a clothesline tackle with an arm,
- 7:01Speaker 8: stiff arm. Clothesline tackle around the neck on Sophie Cunningham
- 7:08Speaker 8: that certainly put the WNBA in the news. You know,
- 7:11Speaker 8: on some level, they've got to be loving this, right?
- 7:13Speaker 8: I mean, they're sitting there having this quandary over whether
- 7:19Speaker 8: or not to allow transgender men to compete in women's
- 7:25Speaker 8: basketball and the rest of the world could care less
- 7:28Speaker 8: about the basketball industry.
- 7:30Speaker 3: And only cares about what their decision is going to be.
- 7:33Speaker 3: In the meantime, you.
- 7:34Speaker 8: Have former NBA players raise their hand and say, I'm
- 7:40Speaker 8: feeling really female today. I want to enter the WNBA
- 7:46Speaker 8: and extend my career. So they're waiting in the wings
- 7:51Speaker 8: for the WNBA.
- 7:53Speaker 3: To make that decision. Of course, we'll be covering it live.
- 7:56Speaker 8: On KSEVradio.com and on KSEV. And as always, as I said,
- 8:02Speaker 8: you can join the conversation, 281-558-5738 or pound KSEV for
- 8:08Speaker 8: our Verizon callers. Now, let's get into some of the
- 8:13Speaker 8: politics that are going on around the state. I'm getting
- 8:16Speaker 8: really concerned about the upcoming November elections, the polling for Trump.
- 8:24Speaker 8: nationwide is very bad. It's been getting worse over the
- 8:28Speaker 8: last two weeks. I think part of it is the
- 8:31Speaker 8: way that Republicans are dealing with the issues.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Part of it has to do with the issues themselves.
- 8:40Speaker 8: So we're going to get into some of that right
- 8:43Speaker 8: after this break, and we'll talk about some of the
- 8:45Speaker 8: new polling. We'll talk about some of the ideas that
- 8:49Speaker 8: I have, I think, that can turn it around before
- 8:53Speaker 8: the election. I'm not sure we can save the day entirely,
- 8:59Speaker 8: but we certainly can do a better job helping to
- 9:03Speaker 8: elect more Republicans here in Texas and more Republicans nationwide.
- 9:09Speaker 8: And a lot of it has to do with the
- 9:11Speaker 8: way we talk about the issues that are affecting people
- 9:16Speaker 8: and the way they view what's going on. So we're
- 9:18Speaker 8: going to deal with that. I'm going to play these clips.
- 9:21Speaker 8: You know, I like Harry... He's the pollster on CNN.
- 9:25Speaker 8: Don't like CNN. We know their message is bias and
- 9:30Speaker 8: in the tank for the Democrats, and they're the media
- 9:32Speaker 8: allies of the Democrat Party. But sometimes they get a good,
- 9:37Speaker 8: honest person on, and he covers both sides of the story.
- 9:40Speaker 8: So I'm going to play a couple clips from Inton
- 9:44Speaker 8: on what some of that polling is like, and then
- 9:46Speaker 8: we'll get in to what's going on here in Texas,
- 9:49Speaker 8: which is also very concerning to me. And I'm going
- 9:53Speaker 8: to play a clip, I think, why we have such
- 9:56Speaker 8: a problem here in Texas.
- 9:57Speaker 3: So we'll take your call. and comments when we come
- 10:01Speaker 3: out of the break. Ben Struzan, subbing for the X-Man
- 10:04Speaker 3: on The Voice of Texas.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Chris X Radio Radio.

- 13:18Speaker 3: Chris X Radio. Lucas, this is what you come up with?
- 13:40Speaker 3: This is the best you could come up with?
- 13:41Speaker 16: I tried rock and country.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Did it not mix?
- 13:47Speaker 3: Is that what this is? Is this some AI creation? No,
- 13:51Speaker 3: this is Rebel Yell. Rebel Yell.
- 13:55Speaker 9: Okay.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Is that a song?
- 13:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:57Speaker 9: I'm trying to think of.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Who's the artist?
- 14:00Speaker 15: Billy Idol.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Billy Idol. Okay.
- 14:03Speaker 9: That shows you.
- 14:06Speaker 3: what I know.
- 14:08Speaker 8: All right, folks, welcome back to The Voice of Texas.
- 14:10Speaker 8: Ben Struzan, something for the X-Men, taking your calls and comments.
- 14:14Speaker 8: So give us a call, 281-558-5738, or pound KSCV for
- 14:19Speaker 8: our Verizon callers. So one of the things that is
- 14:22Speaker 8: very concerning to me is the polling here in Texas
- 14:27Speaker 8: in the U.S. Senate race, and that is going to
- 14:30Speaker 8: be a barometer, I think, for what happens everywhere down
- 14:34Speaker 8: ballot as well. As you are aware, there was a
- 14:38Speaker 8: bitter primary battle between John Cornyn, the incumbent U.S. senator,
- 14:42Speaker 8: and our Attorney General Ken Paxton.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Paxton won in a runoff.
- 14:47Speaker 8: And since then, he has been struggling, I think, prominently
- 14:51Speaker 8: with fundraising.
- 14:52Speaker 3: You may have noticed that Tallarico, who.
- 14:56Speaker 8: Is his Democrat opponent, is running a lot of advertisements
- 15:01Speaker 8: on different media outlets online.
- 15:03Speaker 3: All over the state. And he is building a lead
- 15:06Speaker 3: in the polls.
- 15:08Speaker 8: And I again, when I talk about polls, I don't
- 15:12Speaker 8: necessarily refer to what the overall poll numbers say, whether
- 15:17Speaker 8: it's like 45, 43, 47, 44. That doesn't that doesn't
- 15:21Speaker 8: concern me as much as what direction the polls are moving.
- 15:25Speaker 8: So when I see a Fox poll, for example, that
- 15:30Speaker 8: had Tallarico and Paxton tied two weeks ago, and now
- 15:35Speaker 8: I see the same Fox poll that shows Tallarico with
- 15:39Speaker 8: a two- or three-point lead, I come to the conclusion
- 15:42Speaker 8: that the wind is blowing in Tallarico's direction, and that's
- 15:46Speaker 8: not a good thing. And so when I look at
- 15:49Speaker 8: the reasons behind what's going on, I think the first
- 15:54Speaker 8: and foremost reason has to do with the amount of
- 15:57Speaker 8: money being spent on media all over the state of Texas.
- 16:02Speaker 8: And we know that Paxton is behind in the fundraising department,
- 16:09Speaker 8: and I think we expected him to be behind in fundraising.
- 16:14Speaker 8: I think the numbers I saw were something on the
- 16:18Speaker 8: order of Tallarico for the last six months has raised
- 16:20Speaker 8: roughly $ 70 million, and Paxton's only raised $ 16. 5 million, but
- 16:25Speaker 8: keep in mind that, you know, Paxton had a primary
- 16:28Speaker 8: and a runoff to go through, and that.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Wasn't over until June.
- 16:33Speaker 8: So he's only had, you know, he spent all that money,
- 16:36Speaker 8: and then he's, you know, essentially starting over again. But
- 16:39Speaker 8: it is a big problem and is becoming a bigger
- 16:42Speaker 8: problem as August goes. We go into August, we get
- 16:46Speaker 8: closer to September and October, and Paxton is falling behind
- 16:51Speaker 8: in the media and the fundraising department.
- 16:53Speaker 3: The two are definitely linked together.
- 16:55Speaker 8: So Paxton was actually interviewed on Maria Bartiromo's show on
- 17:03Speaker 8: Fox over the weekend. So let's play clip number three,
- 17:07Speaker 8: which I think really hits the nail on the head
- 17:09Speaker 8: when– Maria asked Paxton this question.
- 17:13Speaker 2: So tell me about the Republicans in the Senate.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Are they helping you right now?
- 17:18Speaker 11: Are you in touch with Senate leadership?
- 17:21Speaker 2: They've been very supportive.
- 17:22Speaker 23: I've talked to Senator Thune, I've talked to Senator Scott
- 17:25Speaker 23: and many others, been very supportive. They are planning on
- 17:29Speaker 23: spending money here is my understanding. I don't control that.
- 17:31Speaker 23: We can't necessarily coordinate with them. So I'm optimistic that
- 17:34Speaker 23: they'll come in soon because as we're raising money, we're
- 17:37Speaker 23: working our way back into October, which is where we
- 17:40Speaker 23: can spend money, and we're trying to work our way
- 17:41Speaker 23: back to September. But we need help now because James
- 17:44Speaker 23: Tallarico has been spending three or four million dollars a
- 17:47Speaker 23: week on TV for the last month.
- 17:49Speaker 3: So I want to compete.
- 17:50Speaker 23: I want to be able to tell people exactly what
- 17:52Speaker 23: he believes, because I am convinced when Texas know that,
- 17:55Speaker 23: know those issues and know what he actually believes, he
- 17:58Speaker 23: will not be elected in the state of Texas.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Big, big problem.
- 18:04Speaker 8: We knew that Paxton was going to be behind in
- 18:07Speaker 8: the fundraising department primarily because the Cornyn supporters and the
- 18:11Speaker 8: big Cornyn donor base was not going to immediately or
- 18:19Speaker 8: easily just flip around after the contentious primary battle and
- 18:25Speaker 8: write a check to Ken Paxton. We knew that was
- 18:27Speaker 8: not going to happen. So we had this gap period
- 18:30Speaker 8: where Republicans have not come home yet to Paxton and
- 18:36Speaker 8: have not put any money behind Paxton yet. yet Tallarico
- 18:40Speaker 8: is not having that problem. He's outspending Paxton quite prominently
- 18:46Speaker 8: here in the state. So that gap has to close,
- 18:50Speaker 8: and Paxton cannot wait. Paxton's talking about raising money now
- 18:55Speaker 8: to be able to spend it in September.
- 18:57Speaker 3: He needs to raise money now to be able to
- 19:00Speaker 3: spend it in August.
- 19:01Speaker 8: Now, most campaign folks will tell you, You need to
- 19:05Speaker 8: make sure you spend the most money, you know, in
- 19:07Speaker 8: October before early voting starts. And that's just kind of
- 19:12Speaker 8: campaign 101.
- 19:14Speaker 3: But, you know, there is no way.
- 19:17Speaker 8: Paxton can afford to wait till October to start spending money.
- 19:22Speaker 8: So the question is, who's going to fill in this gap?
- 19:26Speaker 8: Who has hundreds of millions of dollars to spend?
- 19:29Speaker 3: And I'll tell you that answer. And that is Donald Trump.
- 19:33Speaker 8: Who has hundreds of millions of dollars to spend, and
- 19:36Speaker 8: the Republican National Senate Campaign Committee, which spends money on
- 19:42Speaker 8: behalf of Republican candidates. Now, they supported John Cornyn, but
- 19:47Speaker 8: they know what's on the line.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Control of the U.S. Senate.
- 19:52Speaker 8: They need to step to the plate. And to all
- 19:55Speaker 8: those Cornyn supporters that didn't like writing a check to Paxton,
- 20:01Speaker 8: that don't want to write a check to Paxton, well,
- 20:04Speaker 8: you could help out by writing a check to the
- 20:09Speaker 8: because that many get split up amongst Republican candidates everywhere.
- 20:13Speaker 8: And if it makes you feel better, then fine, write
- 20:16Speaker 8: a check to them. But all the marbles are on
- 20:19Speaker 8: the table here, and we could lose everything in November.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Now, you may... like the feeling of being able to
- 20:28Speaker 3: say something.
- 20:29Speaker 8: Like, we told you so, but it will not feel
- 20:32Speaker 8: very good in January, I can guarantee you, if we
- 20:36Speaker 8: walk out of here in November and Democrats have control
- 20:40Speaker 8: of the Senate. It's going to be a Herculean task
- 20:45Speaker 8: to maintain control of the House of Representatives. It is
- 20:51Speaker 8: a less Herculean task.
- 20:54Speaker 3: And more doable... to.
- 20:55Speaker 8: Remain in control of the Senate as opposed to the House.
- 21:01Speaker 8: But I want to play this clip from Harry Etienne
- 21:06Speaker 8: from a couple of days ago. And let's play number one.
- 21:11Speaker 8: Harry Etienne is the pollster on CNN. I respect his judgment.
- 21:16Speaker 8: I think he does a good job of telling things straight.
- 21:20Speaker 8: even when the Democrats don't want to hear it.
- 21:22Speaker 11: This is the best looking polling for Democrats in the
- 21:25Speaker 11: Senate race since really the 20th century. You're going to
- 21:29Speaker 11: have to go back probably the late 80s.
- 21:31Speaker 3: They won a Senate race.
- 21:33Speaker 11: Out there when it was Lloyd Benson winning in 1988.
- 21:36Speaker 11: Because just take a look here. This polling looks so
- 21:39Speaker 11: much different than it did eight years ago. You take
- 21:41Speaker 11: a look here, James Tallarico, the latest poll against Ken Paxton.
- 21:44Speaker 11: He's actually up by three points. Look at where the
- 21:46Speaker 11: race was between Beto O'Rourke and Ted Cruz at this
- 21:49Speaker 11: point in the 2018 cycle. Ted Cruz was a hit
- 21:51Speaker 11: by six. This is very different. The Democrat here is
- 21:54Speaker 11: doing nine points better. And what is supercharging that? Look
- 21:57Speaker 11: at this. Independents move from tie to plus 39 points
- 22:02Speaker 11: for James Tallarico. Independents, the name of the game, shifting
- 22:06Speaker 11: significantly to the left camp and supercharging James Tallarico. It
- 22:10Speaker 11: could be real. Every single time I look at the poll,
- 22:12Speaker 11: I'm going, hmm, this can't be right. This could be very,
- 22:15Speaker 11: very real. Democrats have a real shot in Texas. So
- 22:17Speaker 11: 26 different than 2018.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Ted Cruz, again, who.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Won, but was very, very close.
- 22:24Speaker 11: Less than three points. How is Ted Cruz different than Paxton?
- 22:27Speaker 11: How is Ted Cruz different than Ken Paxton? Simply put,
- 22:30Speaker 11: Ted Cruz is popular. Kemp Paxton is not popular at all.
- 22:33Speaker 11: That is, I think, one of the biggest differences in
- 22:36Speaker 11: this race. Take a look here. The GOP nominees, net favorability.
- 22:39Speaker 11: In July of 2018, Ted Cruz was eight points above water.
- 22:42Speaker 11: His favorable was eight points above his unfavorable rating. Look
- 22:45Speaker 11: at this side of the screen. Very different indeed. Kemp Paxton,
- 22:49Speaker 11: six points underwater with, get this, among independents, 47 points underwater.
- 22:54Speaker 11: No wonder, no wonder that you're seeing major issues for
- 22:58Speaker 11: Kemp Paxton in this race so far.
- 23:00Speaker 3: All right.
- 23:00Speaker 8: So look, I'm not I'm not trying to be a
- 23:03Speaker 8: Debbie Downer here, but I am trying to wake people
- 23:06Speaker 8: up and not make an assumption that just because this
- 23:10Speaker 8: is Texas, a Democrat cannot win.
- 23:12Speaker 3: A Democrat can win in Texas.
- 23:15Speaker 8: And it starts out looking the way this election looks,
- 23:21Speaker 8: which is Republicans sitting on their hands. There's no enthusiasm
- 23:27Speaker 8: amongst our base to turn. to get out there and
- 23:31Speaker 8: try to prevent Democrats from winning. Everybody knows what's at stake,
- 23:36Speaker 8: yet we're not getting the job done, and it's showing
- 23:41Speaker 8: up everywhere. And there's a big fundraising gap going on
- 23:44Speaker 8: here between Paxton and Tallarico that Tallarico is exploiting, and
- 23:50Speaker 8: that gap has to close.
- 23:51Speaker 3: So the question becomes, you know, who's out.
- 23:54Speaker 8: There that normally finances Republican candidates in Texas. Well, you
- 24:00Speaker 8: know who you are and you know whether or not
- 24:05Speaker 8: you have got out there and supported Paxton or the
- 24:09Speaker 8: Republican ticket. And if you haven't done so, we're looking
- 24:14Speaker 8: at a real form of disaster if we don't get
- 24:17Speaker 8: that changed around. So I think it's time to get
- 24:22Speaker 8: off the fence and and to get out there and
- 24:25Speaker 8: write that check because, you know, Tallarico has so much
- 24:30Speaker 8: money that the Houston Chronicle is reporting today that Tallarico
- 24:36Speaker 8: is writing checks out.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Of his campaign account to.
- 24:40Speaker 8: State House Democrats and the state House Campaign Committee to
- 24:46Speaker 8: elect Texas House Democrats.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Now, if you've got so.
- 24:51Speaker 8: Much money in your campaign war chest, that you can
- 24:54Speaker 8: afford to write checks for $ 250, 000 or $ 500, 000 to help
- 25:00Speaker 8: elect other Democrat candidates, then you're doing something right. And
- 25:06Speaker 8: you are very confident that you're going to have more
- 25:09Speaker 8: money to spend later on in this election cycle. And
- 25:13Speaker 8: that's exactly what Tallarico is doing. He's writing big checks
- 25:17Speaker 8: to House Democrats in the state of Texas.
- 25:20Speaker 3: So wake up, people. I'm telling you.
- 25:23Speaker 8: There's a big downdraft and a tidal ocean storm, a
- 25:27Speaker 8: tidal wave coming, and we've got to do something about that.
- 25:31Speaker 8: We've got to stop it now. You cannot wait till October.
- 25:34Speaker 8: Ken Paxton cannot wait till October. All right, folks, we're
- 25:38Speaker 8: going to take a quick break, and when we come back,
- 25:40Speaker 8: we'll get into a couple of the issues that I
- 25:44Speaker 8: think are causing this big downdraft.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Here in Texas and across the country.
- 25:49Speaker 8: Ben Struzan, The Strew of the View, summing for the
- 25:52Speaker 8: X-Man on The Voice of Texas.

- 29:04Speaker 27: Meteorologist Jason Catarina.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Chris X radio.
- 29:14Speaker 17: This isn't bad.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Not too shabby.
- 29:20Speaker 17: Lucas, our producer.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Yeah, not too shabby. Lucas, our producer.
- 29:40Speaker 8: Ben Struzan subbing for the X-Men, The Strew of the View.
- 29:44Speaker 8: Got my own little icon now on the.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Streaming service. We have that. Can we put that up,
- 29:51Speaker 3: that little icon? Can we make it flash in front
- 29:54Speaker 3: of the screen? The Strew of the View. like a
- 29:58Speaker 3: little business card.
- 29:59Speaker 8: And of course, uh, if you want to join the conversation,
- 30:02Speaker 8: you can give us a call two, eight, one five, five, eight, five, seven, three,
- 30:06Speaker 8: eight or pound KSCV for our Verizon callers. You can
- 30:10Speaker 8: do it that way. Hey, you know, my favorite way
- 30:12Speaker 8: to listen now is a KSCV radio.com. And we had
- 30:16Speaker 8: this new app and you can just, you know, download it. Uh,
- 30:22Speaker 8: if it doesn't convert automatically, you can download it. And, uh,
- 30:26Speaker 8: It's got a live streaming button on it, or you
- 30:29Speaker 8: can just hit a listen button. And I connect it to,
- 30:32Speaker 8: I take my iPhone. I always connect to my car anyway.
- 30:36Speaker 8: You know, when you're calling people, you know, you have
- 30:39Speaker 8: hands free. So it's connected by Bluetooth. So you can
- 30:42Speaker 8: just open that app and hit live stream or live listener.
- 30:48Speaker 3: We have either choice.
- 30:49Speaker 8: So don't watch the show while you're driving. That's a
- 30:53Speaker 8: bad idea. So just listen to the show. When you're driving, ksevradio.com.
- 30:59Speaker 8: I use Twitter.
- 30:59Speaker 3: You can use YouTube or one of the other things,
- 31:03Speaker 3: you know.
- 31:04Speaker 8: So we were getting into the whole subject of, I think,
- 31:07Speaker 8: what is dragging Republicans down. I was talking about the
- 31:11Speaker 8: monetary gap between Paxton and Tallarico and how a lot
- 31:15Speaker 8: of the big donors are holding off, not contributing to Paxton,
- 31:20Speaker 8: didn't like the primary contest.
- 31:22Speaker 3: They don't want Paxton involved. I didn't want him to
- 31:24Speaker 3: be the nominee. They were all in for Cornyn.
- 31:27Speaker 8: But I'm hoping that once they realize what is at stake,
- 31:31Speaker 8: which is control of the U.S. Senate, because I fundamentally
- 31:36Speaker 8: believe that without a Republican win in the U.S. Senate
- 31:43Speaker 8: here in Texas, that Republicans will not win the Senate.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Nationwide. We will lose the Senate.
- 31:52Speaker 8: And even though the Democrats need, I think, to win
- 31:58Speaker 8: seven out of eight, if I'm not mistaken, or is
- 32:01Speaker 8: it six out of seven?
- 32:02Speaker 3: I can't remember. We have the tiebreaker.
- 32:04Speaker 8: So six out of seven of the toss-up seats, one
- 32:07Speaker 8: of which is in play is in Michigan. We'll get
- 32:09Speaker 8: to that in a minute because, you know, the polling
- 32:13Speaker 8: is pretty bad for– what's the guy's name?
- 32:19Speaker 16: You know what?
- 32:20Speaker 3: He said don't pronounce his name.
- 32:21Speaker 8: Right. That guy who won the Democrat socialist.
- 32:26Speaker 3: Yeah, him, him. He said, so I just call him
- 32:29Speaker 3: the Hamas supporter.
- 32:30Speaker 8: And so the Hamas guy, he he's going to have
- 32:35Speaker 8: some trouble in Michigan. In fact, I got Harry ETM
- 32:38Speaker 8: talking about that race. We'll play that clip in a minute.
- 32:41Speaker 8: But I did want to talk about some of the
- 32:43Speaker 8: issues there and the way we're dealing with them. The
- 32:47Speaker 8: biggest issue, of course, is the economy and. the fact
- 32:52Speaker 8: that most Americans do not support the war and what
- 32:56Speaker 8: Trump has done. And when it comes to the Middle East,
- 33:01Speaker 8: what I think he's failed to do is convince voters
- 33:06Speaker 8: that higher gas prices and all the knockoff effects that
- 33:11Speaker 8: they are feeling are worth what they're paying, that we
- 33:19Speaker 8: will eventually get the benefit out of it, and that
- 33:22Speaker 8: we have prevented something really bad from happening. And most
- 33:26Speaker 8: politicians do not get credit for preventing bad things from happening,
- 33:31Speaker 8: you know, bad things like.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Nuclear weapons or war and things like that.
- 33:35Speaker 8: Most of the time what happens is in politics there's
- 33:40Speaker 8: an event, something bad happens, and then politicians react to
- 33:44Speaker 8: it and they either solve it or they fix it
- 33:47Speaker 8: or they don't. And if you went into this election
- 33:51Speaker 8: in 2024 when Trump was elected and you asked voters
- 33:55Speaker 8: who was better at dealing with Iran, Trump would probably– well,
- 34:02Speaker 8: I know for a fact that Trump would win that
- 34:05Speaker 8: debate by 26 points over Kamala Harris. And he was
- 34:09Speaker 8: better– American people, American voters felt he was much better
- 34:14Speaker 8: qualified than Kamala Harris.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Now, they've turned against the war.
- 34:18Speaker 8: They've been against the war from the very beginning. I
- 34:21Speaker 8: think that's the failure on the part of Trump and
- 34:24Speaker 8: all Republicans in leadership to convince the American people that
- 34:29Speaker 8: what they are paying in higher gas prices, in higher
- 34:33Speaker 8: prices overall, is worth it and is worth the war,
- 34:41Speaker 8: is worth paying that in order.
- 34:43Speaker 3: To prevent bad things from happening.
- 34:46Speaker 8: Now, you've probably seen a lot of the justifications that
- 34:49Speaker 8: were initially rolled out, you know, a 47-year regime that's
- 34:53Speaker 8: killed Americans left and right, yet it's vague on details
- 34:57Speaker 8: and it's vague on Trump going back and forth about
- 35:02Speaker 8: what is, you know, it's over, it's not over, we've won,
- 35:05Speaker 8: we have an agreement, prices come down, they go up.
- 35:09Speaker 8: You know, I think that it's been a complete waste
- 35:13Speaker 8: of time hurt his credibility, hurt Republicans' credibility. There's no
- 35:18Speaker 8: such thing as a memorandum of understanding with the Iranians.
- 35:21Speaker 8: There simply is. And you either do it or you
- 35:26Speaker 8: don't do it, and you either have to stand up
- 35:30Speaker 8: and be counted or you're not.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Or there's another saying about something in a pot.
- 35:36Speaker 8: So at the end of the day, what's the one
- 35:39Speaker 8: about BS walks and somebody talks?
- 35:43Speaker 3: You know, I got a million of them, you know.
- 35:46Speaker 8: All hat, no cattle. I like that one because I'm
- 35:48Speaker 8: from Texas. Nobody cares anymore. The Iranians don't care. The
- 35:53Speaker 8: American people don't care. So it's time to move on
- 35:56Speaker 8: and just show them what you can do. And I
- 35:59Speaker 8: fundamentally believe that the price we are paying, the price
- 36:06Speaker 8: we have paid in both money and higher gas prices,
- 36:11Speaker 8: And unfortunately and tragically, in the loss of American military personnel,
- 36:17Speaker 8: I think that they have performed a great service for
- 36:21Speaker 8: this country. And they have changed the entire dynamic of
- 36:28Speaker 8: what was the historical context of what was likely to
- 36:32Speaker 8: happen over the next 10 or 20 years. And we'll
- 36:35Speaker 8: see how this eventually plays out. But whether or not
- 36:39Speaker 8: the Democrats want to admit this, whether or not the
- 36:42Speaker 8: media and their democratic allies want to admit this, and
- 36:46Speaker 8: whether or not the Iranian mullahs want to admit this,
- 36:50Speaker 8: we have the upper hand, and I'll tell you why.
- 36:53Speaker 3: That blockade, if.
- 36:55Speaker 8: We prevent Iran from exporting any oil and prevent them
- 37:01Speaker 8: from importing and exporting any other trade and goods that
- 37:07Speaker 8: are likely to.
- 37:10Speaker 8: Help their economy, we cut off their source of money
- 37:15Speaker 8: that they use to maintain their regime. That's how they
- 37:19Speaker 8: pay the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
- 37:22Speaker 3: They sell oil.
- 37:24Speaker 8: They sell it despite the sanctions that are imposed on
- 37:28Speaker 8: them internationally because the sanctions are very leaky. And they
- 37:32Speaker 8: take that money and they maintain and they bolster the regime.
- 37:37Speaker 8: They pay the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps with it. They
- 37:40Speaker 8: pay the secret police with it. They pay the religious
- 37:43Speaker 8: police with it. And once it's cut off, and that
- 37:47Speaker 8: includes eliminating their ability to sell oil with that shadow
- 37:51Speaker 8: tanker fleet and cutting off their main export and import
- 37:58Speaker 8: control points, they will run out of money and their
- 38:02Speaker 8: oil storage will fill up and they'll be shutting in production.
- 38:06Speaker 8: And once we get to that point and they get
- 38:08Speaker 8: to that point, They will come to the table. Now,
- 38:13Speaker 8: they won't come to the table and surrender. Nobody is
- 38:16Speaker 8: going to surrender. But we will have a much better
- 38:19Speaker 8: deal once we have all the pressure. And when we
- 38:23Speaker 8: have all the pressure, it'll be six months from now
- 38:26Speaker 8: or eight months from now. But we will have eventually
- 38:30Speaker 8: all the leverage. And it's just a question of time.
- 38:34Speaker 8: The question really is, are the American people patient enough?
- 38:38Speaker 8: Right now they're voting no, and I think it's because
- 38:41Speaker 8: we haven't sold it. So let's go to the phones
- 38:46Speaker 8: and let's grab, who's that, Mark? Mark, appreciate you holding. Lucas,
- 38:50Speaker 8: why don't you grab him? Mark, appreciate you holding. Thanks
- 38:53Speaker 8: for joining us on The Voice of Texas.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Go ahead, Mark.
- 38:56Speaker 20: Yeah, you hear me, Stu?
- 38:57Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 38:58Speaker 8: And it's strew and not stew, but go ahead.
- 39:01Speaker 28: Oh.
- 39:02Speaker 20: Sorry about that, Stru.
- 39:03Speaker 25: Okay.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Have at it.
- 39:05Speaker 20: I want to make a comment. You were talking about
- 39:08Speaker 20: the lack of enthusiasm in the base right now, particularly
- 39:11Speaker 20: in the state of Texas, when it comes to Paxton.
- 39:14Speaker 20: And I think what's going on, I mean, you know,
- 39:17Speaker 20: we expected a lot when we went into Trump. When
- 39:23Speaker 20: he became president in 25, he had the House, he
- 39:26Speaker 20: had the Senate. And you look back, very little has
- 39:29Speaker 20: been done. legislatively. I mean, they got the big, beautiful
- 39:32Speaker 20: bill signed, and that's been about it. You know, we
- 39:36Speaker 20: expect he ran on election integrity. He ran on eradicating
- 39:44Speaker 20: waste and fraud. But he's gotten no help, particularly from
- 39:48Speaker 20: the Senate. Republican senators. I mean, this whole emphasis on
- 39:56Speaker 20: the attempt to get voting integrity with requirement to show citizenship,
- 40:02Speaker 20: requirement to show, you know, to prevent non-citizens from voting,
- 40:08Speaker 20: the whole movement of the Save America Act has gone nowhere.
- 40:11Speaker 20: And that's with a majority Senate of Republicans. I mean,
- 40:14Speaker 20: we've got We got two Republican senators that flat out
- 40:18Speaker 20: didn't vote for his attorney general last week. So, I mean,
- 40:22Speaker 20: you can't convince people to get excited about a Senate
- 40:25Speaker 20: position when they see for the past two years a
- 40:28Speaker 20: Senate that's in there right now doesn't even support Donald Trump.
- 40:32Speaker 25: They really don't.
- 40:32Speaker 20: I mean, and the other thing you think about the
- 40:34Speaker 20: financing that's going on with these races in Texas, they
- 40:38Speaker 20: spent over $ 100 million trying to get Cornyn to defeat Paxton.
- 40:43Speaker 9: Right.
- 40:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:43Speaker 20: And now how much is left over to support Paxton?
- 40:46Speaker 20: I don't think he's getting help from Thune.
- 40:48Speaker 8: Well, that's what that's what Paxton. In fact, we just
- 40:51Speaker 8: played that clip. If you hang on, I'll play it
- 40:53Speaker 8: again in the top of the hour. But Paxton was
- 40:57Speaker 8: saying in a national interview on Fox over the weekend
- 41:01Speaker 8: that they haven't started kicking in yet, but he believes
- 41:04Speaker 8: they will. And he's only basically working backwards and got
- 41:08Speaker 8: himself funded for October. And I'm saying if he's got
- 41:11Speaker 8: October and he doesn't have September, He needs to be.
- 41:13Speaker 3: Worrying about August right now. So they need to come in.
- 41:18Speaker 3: That's how I started this show. So they absolutely need
- 41:22Speaker 3: to come in.
- 41:23Speaker 20: They do, but I still don't think he has the
- 41:25Speaker 20: support of a good chunk of senators. I don't think
- 41:28Speaker 20: Thune wanted him. I know he didn't. He was– Cornyn
- 41:33Speaker 20: was his boy, and they put in $ 100 million against Paxton, right?
- 41:39Speaker 15: Yep.
- 41:39Speaker 20: So there's probably some still black bad blood there where
- 41:43Speaker 20: you got guys like that really don't want support, Paxton.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Well, that's what I think.
- 41:47Speaker 8: That's what I'm concerned about is somehow that that spills over.
- 41:51Speaker 3: But, you know, these guys are realists in Washington, too.
- 41:55Speaker 3: And they may and we may view them as more.
- 41:57Speaker 8: Of like the institutional Republican establishment because they've been there
- 42:01Speaker 8: for decades.
- 42:03Speaker 3: And, you know, I won't get into that.
- 42:05Speaker 4: But.
- 42:06Speaker 8: They do add and subtract, and they do know that
- 42:12Speaker 8: if they lose a Senate seat in Texas, it'll be
- 42:16Speaker 8: a disaster. So I think they will come in and
- 42:21Speaker 8: they will support Paxton, but they can't wait too much
- 42:25Speaker 8: longer because I think Paxton, he's peddling uphill.
- 42:31Speaker 3: There's this big downdraft against Trump.
- 42:34Speaker 8: Lack of enthusiasm, we talked about it, whereas the Democrats
- 42:38Speaker 8: have a lot of enthusiasm. I mean, this is like,
- 42:41Speaker 8: I don't want to compare the Democrat Socialists to the
- 42:44Speaker 8: Tea Party, but in a lot of respects, this is
- 42:48Speaker 8: sort of the antithesis of what we experienced in 08
- 42:52Speaker 8: and 2010 and a little bit more in 2012 with
- 42:54Speaker 8: the Tea Party, where we felt like it was just
- 42:57Speaker 8: time to do something. And everybody got up at once
- 43:01Speaker 8: and said, you know, let's go to the polls again.
- 43:03Speaker 8: and we were able to stop Obama. We had just
- 43:06Speaker 8: gotten steamrolled on Obamacare. We were paying other people's mortgage payments.
- 43:12Speaker 8: We hated it, and so we got out of our
- 43:15Speaker 8: chairs and we did something. Democrats, they've got all that
- 43:18Speaker 8: fire right now. We're sitting back and trying to hold
- 43:21Speaker 8: back the floods, which is not a fun position to
- 43:24Speaker 8: be in, but I think once it dawns on everybody
- 43:30Speaker 8: that the Democrat socialists, they are ascendant in the Democrat Party.
- 43:35Speaker 8: And all these things, you know, all these wacky ideas
- 43:39Speaker 8: that they have, everything from, you know, banning Thanksgiving to,
- 43:44Speaker 8: and we'll play that clip later, banning Thanksgiving to, you know,
- 43:48Speaker 8: getting rid.
- 43:49Speaker 3: Of the, you know, D.C.
- 43:51Speaker 8: And Puerto Rico, four more Democrat states, packing Supreme Court,
- 43:56Speaker 8: you know, all the stuff they want to do to
- 43:59Speaker 8: rig the rules so that we never, ever, have another chance.
- 44:02Speaker 3: To win again.
- 44:03Speaker 8: Once people begin to realize that that's what you're going
- 44:06Speaker 8: to get, if they win in November, then I think
- 44:11Speaker 8: we'll start to see Republicans come home. Right now, they're
- 44:16Speaker 8: just kind of sitting on the sidelines and not paying attention.
- 44:22Speaker 8: But while we fall farther behind, I might add. So
- 44:27Speaker 8: I'm trying to perform a public service here. And I'm
- 44:30Speaker 8: trying to wake people up a little bit and say, look,
- 44:34Speaker 8: we're falling behind. We have to do something now. And
- 44:37Speaker 8: when you see Tallarico writing big campaign checks out of
- 44:41Speaker 8: his campaign account, that means he's not worried about October money.
- 44:44Speaker 8: He thinks he can write a check now to members
- 44:48Speaker 8: of the Texas House and win more Texas House seats,
- 44:51Speaker 8: and that'll help him win more Democrat seats because the
- 44:54Speaker 8: person that's going to vote for a Texas House position
- 44:57Speaker 8: is also going to vote for Tallarico.
- 44:59Speaker 3: Yeah, last chance.
- 45:00Speaker 8: A couple more words, and I've got to go. I've
- 45:02Speaker 8: got to take a break, but finish this out.
- 45:04Speaker 20: Last comment, and then I'll let you go. We've got
- 45:07Speaker 20: to– Paxton's campaign in the Republican Party has got to
- 45:11Speaker 20: do a really good job of letting everyone know who
- 45:14Speaker 20: Tallarico really is.
- 45:15Speaker 3: I agree.
- 45:16Speaker 20: Because you go back and look at his message from
- 45:20Speaker 20: him as a state representative, he's insane.
- 45:22Speaker 8: Yeah, and I've got one more thing for you, and
- 45:25Speaker 8: that is Paxton has– to put the Democrat socialist agenda
- 45:31Speaker 8: around Tallarico's neck.
- 45:33Speaker 25: Yes, 100%.
- 45:34Speaker 8: And we cannot let him convince voters that I'm not
- 45:38Speaker 8: those people and I'm not going to vote with those
- 45:41Speaker 8: people and I'm from Texas and I'm normal and I'm
- 45:44Speaker 8: a moderate and I'm not going to vote for statehood
- 45:47Speaker 8: and I'm not going to vote to back.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Bull corn on that.
- 45:50Speaker 8: He is absolutely going to vote for those things, and
- 45:54Speaker 8: that's what you're going to get.
- 45:55Speaker 3: And I'm telling you, he cannot get a pass on that. Cannot.
- 45:59Speaker 4: Nope. Nope.
- 46:00Speaker 28: Agreed.
- 46:01Speaker 3: All right, Mark.
- 46:01Speaker 12: Thank you, sir.

- 50:12Speaker 10: I think so.
- 50:13Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 50:14Speaker 3: That's right. And welcome back to The Voice of Texas.
- 50:21Speaker 8: Ben Struzan, The Strew with View 7 for the X-Man,
- 50:24Speaker 8: taking your calls and comments. So give us a call,
- 50:27Speaker 8: 281-558-5738 or pound KSCV for our Verizon callers. I want
- 50:33Speaker 8: to try to wrap this up, and I apologize for
- 50:36Speaker 8: rambling earlier.
- 50:38Speaker 3: But I want to get my point across.
- 50:40Speaker 8: And I think that where Trump has made a mistake
- 50:43Speaker 8: and where Republican leadership can do better is by convincing
- 50:47Speaker 8: the American people that the higher gas prices, the higher inflation,
- 50:53Speaker 8: the pain that they are feeling, what they are paying for,
- 50:56Speaker 8: that it's worth it because it is worth it to
- 51:01Speaker 8: prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. It's worth it
- 51:05Speaker 8: preventing Iran from killing Americans. It's worth it to prevent
- 51:08Speaker 8: Iran from being the largest state sponsor of terror in
- 51:15Speaker 8: the world. And right now, Americans don't believe that it's
- 51:19Speaker 8: worth it. And I think that's the main problem. And
- 51:23Speaker 8: instead of trying to convince Americans that, well, the war
- 51:26Speaker 8: is going to be over tomorrow, when you and I
- 51:28Speaker 8: and everybody else knows it's not, or that gas prices
- 51:32Speaker 8: are going to be dropping immediately– as soon as the
- 51:36Speaker 8: Strait of Hormuz opens up. And by the way, there's
- 51:39Speaker 8: a lot better things we can do to get gas
- 51:41Speaker 8: prices down. We can produce more. That'll get gas prices down.
- 51:47Speaker 8: We can convoy ships. That'll get gas prices down. So
- 51:50Speaker 8: that's in the cards if the administration chooses to do it.
- 51:54Speaker 3: But what they.
- 51:54Speaker 8: Really need to be doing is to convince the American people, you,
- 51:57Speaker 8: the voters out there, that the prices that you are paying,
- 52:01Speaker 8: the higher prices, that you are paying for everything, they
- 52:05Speaker 8: are worth it because you are preventing something really terrifying
- 52:10Speaker 8: from occurring. And the Democrats don't think it's worth it.
- 52:15Speaker 8: And I'd be willing to have that debate with a
- 52:18Speaker 8: Democrat any day of the week. So if Tallarico and
- 52:22Speaker 8: Paxton want to debate and have a debate about whether
- 52:25Speaker 8: or not higher gas prices and the events in the
- 52:30Speaker 8: Middle East and what we're doing there, are worth the
- 52:33Speaker 8: higher gas prices. I think Paxton should have that debate
- 52:37Speaker 8: rather than, I don't want to say the word apologizing,
- 52:40Speaker 8: but rather than trying to convince people that it's just
- 52:45Speaker 8: kind of short-lived and it'll all be over soon and
- 52:48Speaker 8: it'll all be back to where it was before. And
- 52:52Speaker 8: even if those things occur, they will still end up
- 52:55Speaker 8: with a bad taste in their mouth come November. So
- 52:58Speaker 8: I think that's a better way for us to go
- 53:01Speaker 8: is by showing folks that the higher prices they are
- 53:05Speaker 8: paying are preventing something really terrifying from occurring. All right,
- 53:09Speaker 8: Ben Struzan taking your calls and comments. When we come
- 53:12Speaker 8: out of the break, join the conversation, 281-558-5738 or pound

- 53:52Speaker 16: The Voice of Texas.
- 53:55Speaker 33: News this hour from Town Hall. I'm Pete Peters in Washington.
- 54:01Speaker 33: Houthi rebels have targeted the coastal Makkah and the central
- 54:04Speaker 33: province of Marib with missiles and drones.
- 54:07Speaker 34: The Houthis have attacked the Yemen government port city of
- 54:10Speaker 34: Makkah on the Red Sea coast and other areas of
- 54:13Speaker 34: the country, deepening fears over threats to key shipping routes
- 54:17Speaker 34: and a potential return to civil war in the region.
- 54:20Speaker 34: With the Strait of Hormuz effectively shut by Iran, there's
- 54:23Speaker 34: been a renewed focus on the Red Sea and the
- 54:26Speaker 34: Bab el-Mandeb Strait at Yemen's southern tip. An alternate route
- 54:30Speaker 34: for Saudi Arabia to ship its oil to open oceans,
- 54:33Speaker 34: Iran's foreign minister has underscored Tehran's stance that the Strait
- 54:37Speaker 34: of Hormuz cannot be reopened until the U.S. ends its
- 54:40Speaker 34: blockade of Iranian ports and meets other demands. I'm Charles
- 54:45Speaker 34: de la Desma.
- 54:45Speaker 33: Authorities in Yemen now say at least six people were
- 54:48Speaker 33: killed when Iran-backed Houthi rebels fired missiles on a vessel
- 54:52Speaker 33: in the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. The deadly vessel strike came
- 54:56Speaker 33: amid renewed attacks on government-controlled areas in Yemen. One Arab
- 55:01Speaker 33: country says that it is abolishing the death penalty.
- 55:04Speaker 32: Lebanon's parliament has abolished the death penalty, becoming the first
- 55:09Speaker 32: Arab country to replace it with life imprisonment and aggravated
- 55:13Speaker 32: hard labor in a move that Lebanon's justice minister calls
- 55:16Speaker 32: a historic step. Cash-strapped Lebanon is also debating a controversial
- 55:22Speaker 32: general amnesty law, the largest since the end of its
- 55:26Speaker 32: 15-year civil war in 1990, that could reduce sentences or
- 55:29Speaker 32: even release convicted militants and drug dealers, with some exceptions
- 55:34Speaker 32: from the country's overcrowded prisons.
- 55:36Speaker 2: I'm Lisa Dwyer.
- 55:38Speaker 33: On Wall Street, the Dow down by 184 points, the
- 55:39Speaker 33: Nasdaq dropping 159.
- 55:44Speaker 3: The S & P.
- 55:45Speaker 33: 500 lower by 24 oil around $ 83 a barrel. More

- 55:57Speaker 35: Do you feel like you're running on a financial treadmill,
- 55:59Speaker 35: making payment after payment, month after month, yet never getting ahead?
- 56:03Speaker 35: If you're tired of watching your hard-earned money disappear into
- 56:05Speaker 35: interest charges, there may be options available to help you
- 56:08Speaker 35: take back control of your finances. At Total Financial Freedom,
- 56:12Speaker 35: they'll show you what qualified consumers may be able to

- 56:55Speaker 33: Here's the Wall Street Business Report.
- 56:57Speaker 36: Trump Media is scrapping some of its new businesses to
- 57:00Speaker 36: head off potential losses.
- 57:01Speaker 32: The parent of Truth Social says it is abandoning several
- 57:05Speaker 32: new businesses, crypto, online betting, and financial services to refocus
- 57:10Speaker 32: on building up its social media platform. Part of that
- 57:13Speaker 32: effort is a new paid service for Wall Street traders
- 57:16Speaker 32: who want sneak peeks at the president's market-moving posts. Parent
- 57:19Speaker 32: company Trump Media and Technology detailed its new plans Monday
- 57:23Speaker 32: after posting higher losses in the last quarter.
- 57:26Speaker 2: I'm Lisa Dwyer.
- 57:27Speaker 36: Higher interest rates and high prices conspired to slow the
- 57:31Speaker 36: sale of previously occupied U.S. homes again in July. Record
- 57:34Speaker 36: high prices and the highest mortgage rates in more than
- 57:37Speaker 36: a year proving to be insurmountable for some would-be buyers
- 57:41Speaker 36: and sellers. At the close on Wall Street, the Dow
- 57:43Speaker 36: was down about 160 points, the Nasdaq off by 70.

- 58:30Speaker 5: Call 281-441-4179.
- 58:34Speaker 2: From KSEV, here's political contributor Ben Strewsand.
- 58:39Speaker 8: Most polling shows that Republicans are going to have a
- 58:42Speaker 8: tough time winning majorities in both houses of Congress in November.
- 58:47Speaker 8: Voters blame Trump for inflation and believe that many of
- 58:50Speaker 8: the necessities they need to purchase have become unaffordable. Two
- 58:54Speaker 8: out of three voters don't believe that preventing Iran from
- 58:58Speaker 8: building a nuclear weapon is worth the higher gas prices
- 59:01Speaker 8: that they are paying. Voters never give a president credit
- 59:05Speaker 8: for preventing bad things like a nuclear war from happening.
- 59:09Speaker 8: President Trump should realize by now that the Islamic Republic
- 59:12Speaker 8: will never agree to a deal that results in a
- 59:15Speaker 8: Trump win. The mullahs read the polls and see the
- 59:18Speaker 8: domestic political pressure to end the war. It's part of
- 59:21Speaker 8: their strategy. We should stop.
- 59:23Speaker 3: Chasing a bad deal.
- 59:25Speaker 8: This does not mean that we should resume unlimited airstrikes,
- 59:28Speaker 8: but rather targeted decapitation strikes against their leadership, as the
- 59:33Speaker 8: Israelis used effectively. If Iranian leaders won't cut a deal,
- 59:38Speaker 8: then let's.
- 59:39Speaker 3: Get new ones.
- 59:40Speaker 8: The real leverage we have against Iran is economic. We
- 59:44Speaker 8: destroyed what Iran took decades to build, their defense industrial
- 59:48Speaker 8: base used to manufacture drones, missiles, and nuclear weapons. Inflation
- 59:54Speaker 8: in Iran is running at 40%. The blockade collapsed the
- 59:59Speaker 8: revenue stream used by the Revolutionary Guard Corps, their security services,
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: and all the government infrastructure. If our blockade is allowed
- 1:00:08Speaker 8: to continue and not stopped by Democrats... and a few
- 1:00:13Speaker 8: lame-duck Republicans in Congress, we can eliminate the mullahs' leverage
- 1:00:18Speaker 8: over its people. We don't need regime change to pressure
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: them into a better deal for us.
- 1:00:24Speaker 17: Just perseverance.
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: Intercepting what leaks out via Iran's shadow tanker fleet will
- 1:00:30Speaker 8: speed the process.
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: The best guess is this pressure will take six months
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: to show results, right around the time of the elections.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: I'm Ben Strewsand, and that's my view.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Ben Strewsand, only on AM700 KSEV.
- 1:00:52Speaker 15: Thank goodness our weather experts are providing us with hurricane
- 1:00:55Speaker 15: tracking charts and reminding us to be prepared for big storms.
- 1:00:58Speaker 15: But they overlook one very important thing, the damage and
- 1:01:01Speaker 15: destruction from broken limbs and uprooted trees. Call Lewis Flory
- 1:01:04Speaker 15: at Ability Tree Experts today. My friend for nearly 40 years.
- 1:01:08Speaker 15: At 281-441-4179 and let him explain how this problem can
- 1:01:13Speaker 15: be minimized with professional pruning. You see, when the tree
- 1:01:16Speaker 15: canopy is too thick and dense, the tree can be
- 1:01:19Speaker 15: completely blown over and tree limbs broken, causing terrible damage
- 1:01:22Speaker 15: to the tree and maybe your home. Where tree limbs break?
- 1:01:26Speaker 15: Sap will ooze, and that attracts harmful insects. So you
- 1:01:29Speaker 15: need to call Louis Flory today at 281-441-4179 and have
- 1:01:36Speaker 15: his experts come out and professionally prune your trees to
- 1:01:39Speaker 15: withstand sudden storms that are so frequent this time of year.
- 1:01:42Speaker 15: Visit their website at AbilityTrees.com. That's 281-441-4179. Ability Tree Experts,

- 1:01:58Speaker 1: We are going to launch. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: That's Chris X.
- 1:02:09Speaker 28: Radio.
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: Chris X Radio.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: Chris X Radio.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: What we need right now is a clear message to
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: the people of this country. This message must be read
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: in every newspaper, heard on every radio, seen on every television.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: This message must resound throughout the entire intelligence.
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: And now, your host.
- 1:02:27Speaker 6: I believe this is going to be our finest hour.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: Chris X.
- 1:02:45Speaker 8: And welcome back to the Voice of Texas. Thanks for
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: joining us on a Tuesday drive home afternoon. Ben Struzan,
- 1:02:53Speaker 8: the Stru with a View, joining you this evening and
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: taking the place of Chris X. He'll be back tomorrow.
- 1:03:00Speaker 8: Had to attend some family matters and we hope everything's
- 1:03:04Speaker 8: okay with Chris and he'll be back tomorrow. So I'm
- 1:03:11Speaker 8: just filling in for a day, having some fun with
- 1:03:14Speaker 8: All our listeners, as always, if you want to join
- 1:03:17Speaker 8: the conversation, give us a call.
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: 281-558-5738.
- 1:03:20Speaker 8: Our pound KSEV for our Verizon callers. I was talking
- 1:03:26Speaker 8: a little bit in the first hour about the polling,
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: how bad it is. We're kind of paddling uphill. We're
- 1:03:34Speaker 8: feeling it in Texas. We're watching Tallarico get a couple-point
- 1:03:39Speaker 8: lead on Paxton. Again, it's not the overall number, like 45, 47.
- 1:03:45Speaker 8: Don't worry about that. What you got to look at
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: is which way the winds are blowing and the winds
- 1:03:50Speaker 8: blowing in Tallarico's favor. And the reason, I think, is
- 1:03:53Speaker 8: because of all the money he's spending and the lack
- 1:03:55Speaker 8: of money that Paxton has. And I was really trying
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: to make an appeal to the Republican donor base to
- 1:04:02Speaker 8: try to step to the plate here. And if you
- 1:04:04Speaker 8: don't want to help out Paxton directly, then you write
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: a check to the Republican Senate Campaign Committee or another
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: PAC of your choice. because we cannot afford to lose
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: the Senate seat in Texas, because if that occurs, well,
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: it will be bad news, and I think Republicans will
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: lose the Senate overall. Now I'm going to go to
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: the phone. So Tom, just hang on for a second.
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: Do we have the clip from Harry DTN on the
- 1:04:35Speaker 8: Michigan Senate that I sent? Because I do want to
- 1:04:39Speaker 8: play this because as you are probably aware, about 10
- 1:04:44Speaker 8: days ago, Michigan Democrat voters elected a Democrat socialist. He said,
- 1:04:51Speaker 8: if I don't know how to pronounce his name, don't
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: pronounce his name. So I'm not going to try to
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: pronounce his name. But he's this Hamas guy running for
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: the– as a Democrat in Michigan. And so Harry did
- 1:05:06Speaker 8: some polling on that race, and he was on CNN
- 1:05:10Speaker 8: talking about And so let's play that clip.
- 1:05:13Speaker 11: Once El Sayed became the favorite for that nomination, and
- 1:05:16Speaker 11: now that he's actually become the nominee, Democratic chances have
- 1:05:19Speaker 11: fallen dramatically. You can see it right here, cash and
- 1:05:22Speaker 11: prediction odds. Take a look here, chance to win the
- 1:05:24Speaker 11: Michigan Senate race. You go back to April at this
- 1:05:26Speaker 11: point in the month, Dems had a 79% chance.
- 1:05:29Speaker 17: Look how that.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: Number has fallen dramatically.
- 1:05:31Speaker 17: Down we go into Lake Michigan.
- 1:05:33Speaker 11: Now we're talking about just a 59% chance, while Mike Rogers,
- 1:05:37Speaker 11: the Republican nominee, look at this, 21% chance, basically doubling
- 1:05:41Speaker 11: now up to a 41% chance. So the people who
- 1:05:44Speaker 11: are putting their money where.
- 1:05:45Speaker 10: Their mouths are.
- 1:05:46Speaker 11: Quite skeptical at this point, or at least significantly more skeptical,
- 1:05:50Speaker 11: that Democrats will be able to hold on to the
- 1:05:52Speaker 11: Michigan Senate seat with El-Sayed as the nominee, though I
- 1:05:56Speaker 11: still should note he is the slight favorite here, but
- 1:05:58Speaker 11: given Michigan being a purple state and given where Trump's
- 1:06:01Speaker 11: approval rating is, I think it's quite surprising that his
- 1:06:03Speaker 11: numbers are not significantly higher.
- 1:06:05Speaker 8: So that's that CNN pollster I like to quote occasionally,
- 1:06:09Speaker 8: and I think he does a pretty good job even
- 1:06:11Speaker 8: telling CNN the bad news, although CNN is sort of
- 1:06:14Speaker 8: in the tank for Democrats and supportive of all their
- 1:06:17Speaker 8: media allies, but we cannot.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: Trade Texas for Michigan, folks. It doesn't work that way.
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: If we can pull this out in Michigan, we still
- 1:06:26Speaker 8: have to retain Texas, and right now we got a problem.
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: So I was talking a little bit about the reasons.
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: I think it has to.
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: Do with the way that Republicans and Trump are dealing
- 1:06:38Speaker 8: with what's going on in the Middle East and all
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: the knockoff effects in terms of higher gas prices and
- 1:06:46Speaker 8: everything else. Let's find out what some of our listeners think. Lucas,
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: I'm going to press this button and hope Tom comes
- 1:06:52Speaker 8: on the phone. Tom, appreciate you joining us on The
- 1:06:56Speaker 8: Voice of Texas.
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: Go ahead, Tom.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Yes, sir. Okay, I guess you pushed the right button.
- 1:07:01Speaker 13: I did. I, too, have.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: A view about Iran, even though I'm not as true.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I believe the only solution to this problem is the
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: mostly extermination of the IRGC. In other words, you cannot
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: negotiate with these people. The only way they will behave
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: is when they are dead.
- 1:07:23Speaker 8: So, Tom, let me just chime in real quick with you. And,
- 1:07:28Speaker 8: you know, we have these true views.
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: You may have heard them.
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: I did this minute and a half, two-minute commentary, and
- 1:07:33Speaker 8: I write. And one of the points I make is
- 1:07:35Speaker 8: that one of the most effective solutions is in dealing
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: with the IRGC is if you don't like the leadership,
- 1:07:42Speaker 8: let's get new leaders. And I agree with you in
- 1:07:46Speaker 8: totality that I don't think widespread bombing campaign works. I
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: don't think attacking infrastructure works.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: I don't think.
- 1:07:56Speaker 8: Imposing those costs on the Iranian people, I don't think
- 1:08:00Speaker 8: we should be doing that. But I do think you
- 1:08:03Speaker 8: have these maniacs who are in power who They are
- 1:08:05Speaker 8: homicidal maniacs who have a proven history and track record
- 1:08:09Speaker 8: of killing Americans. And I feel no sympathy or shame
- 1:08:13Speaker 8: if we go after them Israeli style.
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: So I think I agree with you. They have a
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: whole new crop of leaders in there.
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: Let's just go in and make it our duty to
- 1:08:22Speaker 8: take them out. And between that and the blockade, I
- 1:08:27Speaker 8: think we'll get a much better deal and they'll be
- 1:08:29Speaker 8: much more willing to negotiate.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Well, may I have another maybe?
- 1:08:33Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: No, absolutely. Take all you want here.
- 1:08:37Speaker 9: Okay.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: I have a proposal for my limited amount of information,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: of course, but I believe one million care packages might
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: do it. And what these consist of is one AK-47
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: rifle on one parachute with 200 rounds dropped simultaneously in
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: all areas where there is severe unrest among the So basically,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: give them the weapons to help them defend themselves. You know,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: that's a Ronald Reagan move, and it worked in Afghanistan
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: in the 80s, and it's not a bad idea. And
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: I think the difference... There's been some talk about how
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: apparently they just dropped a bunch of pallet loads of
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: rifles to the Kurds, and they just kept them. But
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: if you drop these things all over like a snowstorm,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: like manna from heaven, then the right people are going
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: to get those rifles.
- 1:09:29Speaker 8: Yeah, well, I don't know what the correct delivery method is,
- 1:09:32Speaker 8: but I think in terms of your idea about arming
- 1:09:35Speaker 8: the Iranian opposition, I am all for it.
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: And again... I don't.
- 1:09:40Speaker 8: Think most Americans appreciate or understand the character of the
- 1:09:45Speaker 8: people that we're dealing with. And it is all about character.
- 1:09:49Speaker 8: And if you give a bunch of homicidal maniacs who
- 1:09:52Speaker 8: want to achieve martyrdom in the name of Allah, if
- 1:09:56Speaker 8: you let them have nuclear weapons, it's an exceedingly bad idea.
- 1:10:01Speaker 8: So you have to convince the American people that when
- 1:10:04Speaker 8: they are paying higher gas prices and everything costs more,
- 1:10:08Speaker 8: that is worth it, that it's worth it for them
- 1:10:11Speaker 8: to pay that to prevent these bad things from happening.
- 1:10:15Speaker 8: And so that's the failure of the Trump administration.
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: And Republican leaders. They have not convinced the American people
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: that it's worth it. And I'm sorry, go ahead.
- 1:10:26Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: I think a lot of people have lost their little
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: bit of their enthusiasm for Donald Trump, who I'm a
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: I'm a big fan of his, but I'm not a worshiper.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: I don't go to that point. But I think many
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: people kind of believe that he's called wolf too many
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: times on this Iranian thing.
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: Yeah, of course. It's obvious.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: If something is resolved, that's going to help also going
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: to help the election.
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:50Speaker 8: Look, I would not count on anything getting resolved because
- 1:10:54Speaker 8: the Iranian, the mullahs, they read the polls. They know
- 1:10:59Speaker 8: what the domestic political score is. They are never going
- 1:11:03Speaker 8: to hand Trump any kind of a settlement between now
- 1:11:06Speaker 8: and the election.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: It's a complete waste of time.
- 1:11:09Speaker 8: So the best thing you can do is go the
- 1:11:12Speaker 8: other way, max the pressure, but don't go in with
- 1:11:17Speaker 8: a massive bombing campaign on water plants and electric utility.
- 1:11:23Speaker 8: You just have to hit them where it hurts, and
- 1:11:25Speaker 8: that is their leadership.
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: And economically, really. And it's not going to happen before
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: the election. It's just not.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Well, I would think that's... The other ways are going
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: to take too much time, and then somebody else will
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: be the president, and it will be just kicking the
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: can down the road again.
- 1:11:45Speaker 8: Well, I think if you measure it in a two-month
- 1:11:50Speaker 8: or three-month time frame, you're right. If you measure it
- 1:11:54Speaker 8: in the space of a year or two, probably not.
- 1:11:56Speaker 8: But I'm not talking about a war, okay? I know
- 1:12:02Speaker 8: it looks like a war, but it's a very low-level.
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: Kind of war, what I'm talking about. I mean, if
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: the Iranians and their.
- 1:12:09Speaker 8: Allies, the Houthis— and by the way, one of the things
- 1:12:12Speaker 8: that needs to happen is that the Houthis, who are
- 1:12:16Speaker 8: isolated on the Arabian Peninsula and border Saudi Arabia on
- 1:12:20Speaker 8: the Red Sea, that Joe Biden allowed to capture that
- 1:12:24Speaker 8: important piece of real estate— If the Saudis ever grow
- 1:12:27Speaker 8: a pair, they'll invade Yemen and take them out and
- 1:12:32Speaker 8: eliminate one of the Iranian key allies, and that would
- 1:12:35Speaker 8: be another death blow to the Iranian regime.
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: There's no way the.
- 1:12:39Speaker 8: Saudis should let them dictate what's going on in the
- 1:12:42Speaker 8: Red Sea. But maybe that's a conversation for another day.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: The whole thing was complex, but thank you anyway for
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: letting me make my suggestions. I know you've got limited
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: time for each caller, so I guess I'll let it go.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: Appreciate it. Call back Friday.
- 1:12:57Speaker 8: All right, folks, we'll take the rest of your calls
- 1:13:00Speaker 8: and comments when we come back. And we'll talk a
- 1:13:04Speaker 8: little bit about what's going on in Wisconsin. And then, boy,
- 1:13:08Speaker 8: I don't know, but you better get ready for one
- 1:13:11Speaker 8: of the biggest brawls, one of the biggest sporting events
- 1:13:16Speaker 8: in U.S.
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: History, folks.
- 1:13:18Speaker 8: I'm not talking about the Super Bowl. I'm not talking
- 1:13:21Speaker 8: about NBA games. Basketball, I'm talking about the Indiana Fever
- 1:13:26Speaker 8: versus the New York Liberty tonight live on ESPN, the WNBA,
- 1:13:33Speaker 8: the WWE of basketball. We're going to have our sports know-it-all,
- 1:13:39Speaker 8: our WNBA expert, one Craig Collins, in here.
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: I'm going to ask him to join me.
- 1:13:45Speaker 8: We're going to give you a full rundown of everything
- 1:13:47Speaker 8: going on in the NBA, and we're not going to say.
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: Anything about basketball.
- 1:13:52Speaker 8: The Strew of the View will be right back on the.
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: Chris X Show.
- 1:14:06Speaker 28: The open enrollment period for medical plans is right around
- 1:14:09Speaker 28: the corner, so get some facts and your options. In
- 1:14:12Speaker 28: response to COVID-19, rates are expected to rise as high
- 1:14:15Speaker 28: as 40% in some states. Are you already paying exorbitant
- 1:14:18Speaker 28: Obamacare or COBRA rates? Are you paying ridiculous rates for
- 1:14:22Speaker 28: your family on your work group plan? Are you going
- 1:14:24Speaker 28: without insurance because you can't find anything reasonable? Your search
- 1:14:28Speaker 28: is over. Listen to your pal Chris Salcedo. How does
- 1:14:30Speaker 28: a zero-deductible, no-copay nationwide PPO plan sound? And you can
- 1:14:35Speaker 28: get it at half the cost. keeping your hard-earned money
- 1:14:37Speaker 28: where it belongs, in your pocket. American Medical Plans will
- 1:14:40Speaker 28: tailor a plan that best fits you as well as
- 1:14:42Speaker 28: your budget. American Medical Plans are local guys. Their goal
- 1:14:45Speaker 28: is to give you peace of mind and the utmost
- 1:14:47Speaker 28: in health care. Call American Medical Plans today to see
- 1:14:50Speaker 28: if you qualify and start saving 30% to 60% now.
- 1:14:52Speaker 15: Call 833-500-PLAN.
- 1:14:53Speaker 10: That's 833-575-26 or go to AmericanMedicalPlans.com.
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: That's AmericanMedicalPlans.com. It's a quality plan chosen and managed by you.
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: not the government.
- 1:15:07Speaker 15: Thank goodness our weather experts are providing us with hurricane
- 1:15:10Speaker 15: tracking charts and reminding us to be prepared for big storms.
- 1:15:13Speaker 15: But they overlook one very important thing, the damage and
- 1:15:15Speaker 15: destruction from broken limbs and uprooted trees. Call Louis Flory
- 1:15:19Speaker 15: at Ability Tree Experts today. My friend for nearly 40 years.
- 1:15:23Speaker 15: At 281-441-4179 and let him explain how this problem can
- 1:15:28Speaker 15: be minimized with professional pruning. You see, when the tree
- 1:15:31Speaker 15: canopy is too thick and dense, the tree can be
- 1:15:33Speaker 15: completely blown over and tree limbs broken, causing terrible damage
- 1:15:37Speaker 15: to the tree and maybe your home. Where tree limbs break,
- 1:15:41Speaker 15: sap will ooze, and that attracts harmful insects. So you
- 1:15:44Speaker 15: need to call Louis Flory today at 281-441-4179 and have
- 1:15:50Speaker 15: his experts come out and professionally prune your trees to
- 1:15:54Speaker 15: withstand sudden storms that are so frequent this time of year.
- 1:15:57Speaker 15: Visit their website at AbilityTrees.com. That's 281-441-4179. Ability Tree Experts,
- 1:16:05Speaker 15: Houston's leading tree care professional.
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: Hi, this is Michael Miller.
- 1:16:13Speaker 25: Join me this weekend for the Backyard Bay Radio Program
- 1:16:16Speaker 25: presented by Miller Pools and Texan Pools. Now at our
- 1:16:20Speaker 25: new time, every Saturday morning at 9 a.m. And what
- 1:16:24Speaker 25: we do here on the Backyard Bay Radio Program is
- 1:16:27Speaker 25: talk about your backyards. And this time of year, wow,
- 1:16:32Speaker 25: it's so hard not to just spend all your time
- 1:16:35Speaker 25: out in the Backyard Bay. And I know sometimes you
- 1:16:38Speaker 25: have questions. That's why we do the Backyard Bay radio program,
- 1:16:42Speaker 25: to get you good, solid answers to any kind of
- 1:16:45Speaker 25: questions that you may have concerning your swimming pools. Or
- 1:16:49Speaker 25: I'm looking to build a new swimming pool. Join me
- 1:16:54Speaker 25: this weekend for the Backyard Bay radio program, now at
- 1:16:58Speaker 25: our new time, every Saturday morning at 9 a.m., right
- 1:17:02Speaker 25: here on The Voice.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: And now, back to Chris X Radio on The Voice
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: of Texas.
- 1:17:31Speaker 8: What is this, some kind of Saturday Night Fever thing
- 1:17:34Speaker 8: going on here, Lucas?
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: I don't know where you got that one. How about
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: a little Van Halen or something?
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: I mean, you know.
- 1:17:41Speaker 8: All right, folks, welcome back to The Voice of Texas.
- 1:17:44Speaker 8: Ben Struzan, the strew with the view, subbing for the X-Men.
- 1:17:47Speaker 8: He's taking care of some family business today, but he'll
- 1:17:50Speaker 8: be back tomorrow and sitting back in the seat. I'm
- 1:17:53Speaker 8: just trying to fill in and do as good a
- 1:17:55Speaker 8: job as he does. And we've been talking a little
- 1:17:59Speaker 8: bit about Iran and how to message it and why
- 1:18:04Speaker 8: I think we're losing this public debate about what's going
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: on in the Middle East. And it's the Democrats have
- 1:18:10Speaker 8: framed it about affordability. And I think there's something much
- 1:18:15Speaker 8: more deeper and much more important than just affordability, and
- 1:18:21Speaker 8: that is preventing something terrible and horrible from happening and
- 1:18:27Speaker 8: in some cases continuing to happen. And I mean the
- 1:18:30Speaker 8: death of Americans because the Iranian regime and the mullahs
- 1:18:34Speaker 8: are really good at killing Americans. They've killed a lot
- 1:18:39Speaker 8: of Americans over the last 47 years. So I have
- 1:18:42Speaker 8: no sympathy for them. And I am not in the
- 1:18:47Speaker 8: category of those who believe. that if you just leave
- 1:18:52Speaker 8: these people alone that they won't bother you and that
- 1:18:54Speaker 8: they will just go on their merry way and resort
- 1:18:59Speaker 8: to peaceful and non-life-threatening schemes. So Anyway, let's take a
- 1:19:09Speaker 8: couple of quick calls. Is that Doc on line three? Lucas,
- 1:19:13Speaker 8: grab him for me. All right, Doc, appreciate you joining
- 1:19:17Speaker 8: me on The Voice of Texas.
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: Go ahead, Doc. Do we got him?
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: I'm here.
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: Oh, I'm sorry. Go ahead. Yes, please.
- 1:19:29Speaker 6: Yeah, listen, I'm just following up on what you're talking
- 1:19:32Speaker 6: about with Attorney General Paxton's race for the United States Senate,
- 1:19:36Speaker 6: just as a reminder, if we lose that Senate race
- 1:19:41Speaker 6: and they take over the control of the Senate, the
- 1:19:43Speaker 6: Senate is the one place where the trial will be
- 1:19:45Speaker 6: held for the impeachments on President Trump. And we all
- 1:19:49Speaker 6: know that the House of Representatives have impeachment orders already
- 1:19:53Speaker 6: drawn up. They're just waiting for the opportunity to introduce it.
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: And he will be impeached if that happens, and then
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: he'll go over to the Senate for the trials. And
- 1:20:02Speaker 6: there are probably no way to stop it then if
- 1:20:03Speaker 6: they have control of the Senate. And we'd end up
- 1:20:06Speaker 6: losing the presidency right along with the Senate and the House.
- 1:20:11Speaker 8: Well, let me just add a couple of caveats in there.
- 1:20:14Speaker 8: First of all, in the Senate, it takes 67 to
- 1:20:17Speaker 8: convict a president in an impeachment before he would be
- 1:20:20Speaker 8: removed from office. And if that were to occur, which
- 1:20:23Speaker 8: I do not believe they will ever get the votes
- 1:20:26Speaker 8: for that to occur, but I've been wrong before. and
- 1:20:30Speaker 8: then it would go to J.D.
- 1:20:32Speaker 25: Vance.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: But then we'd have an election.
- 1:20:36Speaker 8: In 28, and who knows what would happen then.
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: So I just wanted to kind of clarify, but go ahead,
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: please make your point.
- 1:20:46Speaker 6: No, you're talking about chaos. So if you want to
- 1:20:49Speaker 6: upend the economy in this country, let's put the president
- 1:20:52Speaker 6: on trial and see what happens to his economy. It'll
- 1:20:55Speaker 6: be the most unfortunate thing we've experienced in our lifetimes.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: It just can't happen.
- 1:21:01Speaker 8: Yeah, I agree with you completely. And I just don't
- 1:21:04Speaker 8: want to see us lose the Senate. The race in Texas,
- 1:21:11Speaker 8: the prediction markets, which are binary choices, win, lose, win, lose,
- 1:21:15Speaker 8: not by how much win, lose, but they still are
- 1:21:20Speaker 8: showing or the people, the betting is still on a
- 1:21:22Speaker 8: Paxton victory.
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: So that's, but it's narrowing. It keeps narrowing every week.
- 1:21:29Speaker 8: And I think a lot of that has to do
- 1:21:31Speaker 8: with the media and the money and what's being spent
- 1:21:33Speaker 8: here and the lack of response by Paxton. And we
- 1:21:38Speaker 8: have to do a better job of defining Palo Rico
- 1:21:42Speaker 8: and tying the socialist agenda around him like a boat anchor.
- 1:21:47Speaker 8: And anybody that believes that he is not going to
- 1:21:50Speaker 8: support some of these nutty, quacky socialist policy ideas– uh, that, well,
- 1:21:58Speaker 8: they are completely wrong. And in fact, uh, I'm going
- 1:22:00Speaker 8: to bring, uh, Craig Collins in right now, uh, because
- 1:22:04Speaker 8: he's got some, uh, wacky, crazy, uh, Democrat socialist ideas.
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: It was funny.
- 1:22:10Speaker 8: Uh, Craig, Craig does the show after Chris X, his,
- 1:22:14Speaker 8: his show starts at six o'clock. And so I said, well,
- 1:22:17Speaker 8: just come on a little early. And Craig, I, is
- 1:22:20Speaker 8: your mic on? You might have to hit the button.
- 1:22:22Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: Let's get it on.
- 1:22:24Speaker 10: And, um, Still– there we go. Now we got it.
- 1:22:27Speaker 10: Now we're winning.
- 1:22:28Speaker 8: All right. And so I sent out this email to
- 1:22:32Speaker 8: you and Chris X, and I said, hey, let's get
- 1:22:34Speaker 8: a sort of this montage of crazy, wacky, Democrat, socialist
- 1:22:39Speaker 8: candidate comments.
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: So that people can hear what they support and oppose.
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: And you had already done that. I didn't hear it.
- 1:22:47Speaker 3: I've never heard it before, but you're going to bring
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: it and play it for me, right?
- 1:22:50Speaker 37: Yeah, you said that you wanted all three together. So
- 1:22:52Speaker 37: I had done this while filling in for Chris Salcedo
- 1:22:54Speaker 37: last week and then on my show. I call it
- 1:22:56Speaker 37: the top three Democratic socialists of the day. We can
- 1:22:59Speaker 37: do it every single day, but here's one.
- 1:23:01Speaker 8: And we have this primary today, that wacky socialist in
- 1:23:06Speaker 8: Wisconsin– is running for governor.
- 1:23:08Speaker 10: Francesca Hong.
- 1:23:09Speaker 3: Hong, yeah, and she wants to ban Thanksgiving.
- 1:23:12Speaker 37: She does, but then she also changed her mind and
- 1:23:14Speaker 37: she says it's her favorite holiday.
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 1:23:16Speaker 37: So she's done both of those in the last few months.
- 1:23:18Speaker 37: We also have El Saeed in this one.
- 1:23:20Speaker 8: Oh, that's the Hamas guy whose name I cannot pronounce.
- 1:23:23Speaker 10: Yes, and then finally we have one more. I think
- 1:23:25Speaker 10: it's Chris Rabb out of Pennsylvania.
- 1:23:26Speaker 16: All right, let's hear him.
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 1:23:29Speaker 37: This is going to come out of the 360 for
- 1:23:30Speaker 37: Lucas if he needs to turn that up on the board.
- 1:23:33Speaker 15: All right.
- 1:23:34Speaker 5: Understand right now, though, that we don't live under capitalism.
- 1:23:37Speaker 5: We live under corporatism. You have huge corporations that have
- 1:23:41Speaker 5: used their power, in effect, to try and buy politicians
- 1:23:44Speaker 5: so that those politicians will turn around and help them
- 1:23:47Speaker 5: use government to protect their position in markets. That is anti-capitalist.
- 1:23:52Speaker 38: Thanksgiving is also a time that's incredibly painful for many
- 1:23:55Speaker 38: people in our communities.
- 1:23:57Speaker 8: My favorite holiday is.
- 1:24:02Speaker 11: Thanksgiving.
- 1:24:03Speaker 39: Long before there was any notion of policing, we had
- 1:24:07Speaker 39: founders that did not even understand that term. Policing is
- 1:24:10Speaker 39: something that's evolved over time. Ultimately, what we want is
- 1:24:14Speaker 39: to have communities that are safe. And 99% of what
- 1:24:17Speaker 39: police do are not going after the bad guys.
- 1:24:20Speaker 37: That is my favorite, the Chris Rabb one out of Pennsylvania,
- 1:24:23Speaker 37: because he's saying police need to go away.
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: Well, they all favor or defend the police.
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:24:27Speaker 37: And instead of that, they want social workers to show up.
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: But they don't want to say it. You're right. It's
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: like they want to be divorced.
- 1:24:33Speaker 11: Not anymore.
- 1:24:33Speaker 9: Right.
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: They've won their primaries.
- 1:24:35Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: They don't want to use the defund the police, abolish ICE.
- 1:24:38Speaker 22: Yes.
- 1:24:39Speaker 8: And they're trying to get away from that.
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: But we still have them on tape.
- 1:24:43Speaker 8: Like we have Tallarico with the doormat comment about welcoming
- 1:24:49Speaker 8: people to the country and inviting everybody in.
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:24:53Speaker 10: We want to welcome out at our border.
- 1:24:55Speaker 31: Yes.
- 1:24:55Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: So, but I tell you what, why don't we take
- 1:24:59Speaker 3: a break?
- 1:24:59Speaker 8: And when we come back, the reason why I want
- 1:25:01Speaker 8: to meet you on the show is because you are
- 1:25:04Speaker 8: like our station expert, all things WNBA.
- 1:25:08Speaker 34: Right.
- 1:25:09Speaker 8: And tonight is the New York Liberty versus the Indiana Fever.
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: I'm going to grab some popcorn and a brewski.
- 1:25:16Speaker 31: Correct.
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: I'm going to put my feet up. I'm going to
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: watch that and get ready for a little WWE action.
- 1:25:21Speaker 8: I'm hoping to see a few clothesline, hairline tackles or
- 1:25:24Speaker 8: something like that. So why don't we take a quick break?
- 1:25:27Speaker 8: Ben Struzan, subbing for the X-Men on The Voice of Texas.
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: You're listening to Chris X Radio on The Voice of Texas.
- 1:25:42Speaker 14: If you have roof problems, you can sure see them
- 1:25:45Speaker 14: when it rains. This is Deb Tejada from Tejas Roofing.
- 1:25:48Speaker 14: If you see a leak, call me immediately.
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: 281-251-0304.
- 1:25:53Speaker 14: I'll send over the Tejas Roof Repair Truck.
- 1:25:56Speaker 40: That truck has everything our experienced crew needs to fix
- 1:25:59Speaker 40: your roof, right then and there.
- 1:26:00Speaker 14: The Tejas Roofing Crew has been working together fixing leaky
- 1:26:03Speaker 14: roofs for 15 years.
- 1:26:05Speaker 40: It's not a pretty truck, but it has everything we
- 1:26:07Speaker 40: need to get the job done. I kind of like
- 1:26:09Speaker 40: the way it looks.
- 1:26:10Speaker 14: Most roofing repairs cost less than $ 500.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: Why?
- 1:26:13Speaker 14: Because we find the cause of the leak and repair
- 1:26:16Speaker 14: that leak. We won't try to sell you services you
- 1:26:18Speaker 14: don't need.
- 1:26:19Speaker 40: And we'll fix it right away because everything we need,
- 1:26:21Speaker 40: it's in our truck.
- 1:26:22Speaker 14: Don't put off fixing a leaky roof. Call me at
- 1:26:25Speaker 14: Tejas Roofing, and I'll send over the truck.
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: 281-251-0304.
- 1:26:30Speaker 14: When you think of roofing repairs or a new roof,
- 1:26:32Speaker 14: think Tejas Roofing, your Houston roofing company.
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: 281-251-0304.
- 1:26:35Speaker 10: That's Tejas Roofing, 281-251-0304.
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: Start your mornings with the Chris Salcedo Show.
- 1:26:45Speaker 17: Let's go to New York where David is standing by.
- 1:26:47Speaker 7: Hello, David.
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: Welcome to the Salcedo Show.
- 1:26:48Speaker 10: What do you say?
- 1:26:49Speaker 9: I'm going to say Donald Trump is a backstabber and
- 1:26:51Speaker 9: you never call him out.
- 1:26:52Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 1:26:52Speaker 17: I didn't understand what you said. Give me an example
- 1:26:54Speaker 17: of a lie.
- 1:26:54Speaker 25: I don't know.
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: It doesn't matter what you say.
- 1:26:57Speaker 30: It is just like the folks over there at CNN
- 1:26:59Speaker 30: and at MSNBS.
- 1:27:00Speaker 16: Blind hatred.
- 1:27:02Speaker 9: And one other thing with that jerk from New York, David.
- 1:27:05Speaker 12: That's why I left New York.
- 1:27:06Speaker 28: These guys are real mamaloo.
- 1:27:08Speaker 14: Ah.
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: 7 to 9 a.m.
- 1:27:12Speaker 30: This is Kevin O'Hara with O'Hara & Company Real Estate
- 1:27:15Speaker 30: in O'Hara Homes. I'm going to pose some questions that
- 1:27:17Speaker 30: you might want to research. Why was JFK assassinated? Did
- 1:27:21Speaker 30: we really land on the moon? Is Earth really a
- 1:27:24Speaker 30: globe and is it the size they tell us it is?
- 1:27:26Speaker 16: Did 9-11 happen the way we were told?
- 1:27:29Speaker 30: Are pharmaceutical companies really there to cure diseases? Who are
- 1:27:32Speaker 30: doctors trained by? Did God create everything on Earth that
- 1:27:36Speaker 30: we need to stay healthy? Is fluoride in our water
- 1:27:38Speaker 30: really helping us? What are those long trails of clouds
- 1:27:42Speaker 30: left by airplanes and what's in them? Did all the
- 1:27:45Speaker 30: astronauts die in the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion? And is
- 1:27:48Speaker 30: Elvis really dead? I search answers for everything. And if
- 1:27:52Speaker 30: you're searching for a real estate company, give O'Hara Company
- 1:27:54Speaker 30: Real Estate a call at 281-373-3393.
- 1:27:55Speaker 16: Again, that's 281-373-3393.
- 1:27:56Speaker 30: Or look us up on the web at oharare.com. I
- 1:28:06Speaker 30: have a special guest with me, my granddaughter, Bailey.
- 1:28:09Speaker 6: God bless America, God bless Texas, and God bless my pop.
- 1:28:13Speaker 41: From the KSEV Weather Center this afternoon, expect a mix
- 1:28:16Speaker 41: of clouds and sunshine with isolated thunderstorms possible. The temperature
- 1:28:20Speaker 41: will reach a high of 95. Tonight will be mainly
- 1:28:22Speaker 41: clear and humid with a low of 79. Tomorrow will
- 1:28:24Speaker 41: be very warm with a blend of sunshine and a
- 1:28:26Speaker 41: few clouds reaching a high of 97. Thursday brings mostly
- 1:28:30Speaker 41: sunny skies and continued warmth with a high of 97.
- 1:28:33Speaker 41: On Friday, anticipate a mix of sun and clouds with
- 1:28:35Speaker 41: a chance of afternoon thunderstorms as the temperature climbs to 95.
- 1:28:39Speaker 41: With the KSCV Weather Center forecast, I'm AccuWeather meteorologist Joe Lundberg.
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: And now, we return you to your regularly scheduled dose
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: of common sense. Chris X Radio. Chris X Radio.
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: What the heck? What is it, Lucas? Come on. Oh,
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: it's Tom Sawyer. This is not Van Halen. It's not.
- 1:29:17Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:29:18Speaker 8: Welcome back to the Voice of Texas.
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: Thanks for joining us on the X-Men show. I was
- 1:29:24Speaker 3: hoping to at least bring a little better music with me.
- 1:29:29Speaker 37: By the way, Lucas, this happens to everybody.
- 1:29:31Speaker 10: It happened to me.
- 1:29:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I did it too. And that's Chris Collins.
- 1:29:35Speaker 11: Craig.
- 1:29:35Speaker 3: Craig. Excuse me, Craig. That's okay.
- 1:29:37Speaker 10: I'll go by Chris.
- 1:29:39Speaker 8: Craig Collins, who is on the Chris X Show with me,
- 1:29:42Speaker 8: who's on right after the Chris X Show.
- 1:29:46Speaker 3: You'll be hearing Craig Collins.
- 1:29:47Speaker 8: And, of course, all your calls, 281-558-5738, or pound KSEV
- 1:29:53Speaker 8: for our Verizon callers. We hope you're listening. on ksevradio.com,
- 1:29:58Speaker 8: where we're live streaming on Twitter, on Facebook, on YouTube.
- 1:30:02Speaker 8: And Chris Collins is– Craig Collins is.
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: Chris Collins.
- 1:30:07Speaker 10: That's fine, man.
- 1:30:07Speaker 3: No, that's the wide receiver for the Bengals, right?
- 1:30:11Speaker 10: Plus, we have a Chris morning show, a Chris afternoon show.
- 1:30:13Speaker 10: I should just go by Chris.
- 1:30:14Speaker 8: But Chris Collins is the wide receiver for the Bengals,
- 1:30:17Speaker 8: and he's on the football show.
- 1:30:19Speaker 34: Oh, yeah.
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:30:20Speaker 3: So I brought you on for a number of reasons.
- 1:30:25Speaker 28: Uh-huh.
- 1:30:26Speaker 8: But one of the big ones was to talk about
- 1:30:28Speaker 8: you're our station expert on all things WNBA.
- 1:30:33Speaker 11: Oh, man.
- 1:30:34Speaker 8: And as I said earlier, I am going to kick
- 1:30:39Speaker 8: back tonight, grab some brewski, watch.
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: The Fever play the Liberty on ESPN.
- 1:30:45Speaker 7: Sure.
- 1:30:45Speaker 8: Hope to see some really knock-down, drag-out fouls and fighting.
- 1:30:49Speaker 3: A little black-on-white, white-on-black coverage.
- 1:30:52Speaker 16: Crime.
- 1:30:52Speaker 10: Mostly.
- 1:30:53Speaker 3: Is that white privilege? Is that what you call white privilege?
- 1:30:57Speaker 10: I love the Babylon Bee.
- 1:30:58Speaker 37: They have this fake headline of Caitlin Clark doing an
- 1:31:01Speaker 37: interview where she says, white privilege feels a whole lot
- 1:31:04Speaker 37: like black women beating me up.
- 1:31:05Speaker 10: Because that is what it feels like. She gets beat
- 1:31:07Speaker 10: up a lot.
- 1:31:09Speaker 8: And I always get on Paul about this. Let's do
- 1:31:11Speaker 8: just a brief reset of the events of the last
- 1:31:15Speaker 8: two or three weeks. And let's even go back because
- 1:31:18Speaker 8: A lot of people don't know who Caitlin Clark is.
- 1:31:21Speaker 37: Yeah, so Caitlin Clark is very famous for playing in
- 1:31:25Speaker 37: the college basketball world.
- 1:31:27Speaker 8: Phenomenal basketball star. From all I can tell, straight, obviously white, white, straight.
- 1:31:34Speaker 10: Straight white woman.
- 1:31:35Speaker 3: Superstar, comes into the league.
- 1:31:37Speaker 10: Yeah, she's got a boyfriend.
- 1:31:38Speaker 3: I said the short version.
- 1:31:39Speaker 10: Her fiance or something.
- 1:31:40Speaker 37: She got drafted three years ago, infused a ton of
- 1:31:43Speaker 37: money in the WNBA.
- 1:31:45Speaker 10: As you said, I'm the expert on the WNBA, just barely.
- 1:31:48Speaker 37: I don't really care very much about it, but it
- 1:31:50Speaker 37: certainly seems to be a thing where more and more
- 1:31:53Speaker 37: people are paying attention to this because of Caitlin Clark.
- 1:31:56Speaker 37: But anyway, she's been getting beat up by a lot
- 1:31:58Speaker 37: of people. One of her teammates, Sophie Cunningham, has been
- 1:32:00Speaker 37: getting beat up a lot by people. And somehow refs
- 1:32:03Speaker 37: keep calling fouls on them, on the two white women
- 1:32:06Speaker 37: who were in the league. Not on everybody else. So
- 1:32:08Speaker 37: Clark even had a technical get rescinded the other day.
- 1:32:11Speaker 10: So that would have caused suspension.
- 1:32:12Speaker 8: So I we had this conversation about three or four
- 1:32:16Speaker 8: weeks ago with the judge is a Democrat.
- 1:32:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:32:18Speaker 8: And we asked him, you know, judge, you know, to me,
- 1:32:22Speaker 8: it's obvious. But this is a question. Is it, you know, black?
- 1:32:27Speaker 3: Versus white? Is it a racial thing?
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: And he said, yeah, well, I think it's it. Plus,
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: she's new. And I said, well, there's also this other
- 1:32:34Speaker 3: thing going. She's straight, and they're all lesbians.
- 1:32:37Speaker 37: 75% of the WNBA is lesbians.
- 1:32:40Speaker 3: That's a public statement. I think that has a lot
- 1:32:44Speaker 3: to do with it.
- 1:32:44Speaker 10: I think so, too.
- 1:32:45Speaker 8: So now comes along her teammate on the Indiana Fever,
- 1:32:50Speaker 8: Sophie Cunningham, who is— Sort of an attractive blonde lady.
- 1:32:55Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:32:55Speaker 8: And she's not a superstar basketball player, but she's good.
- 1:32:59Speaker 10: No, she's a bench player in the WNBA.
- 1:33:02Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:33:02Speaker 10: And we talk about her right now in the world
- 1:33:04Speaker 10: of sports and politics.
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: Yeah. And she comes on.
- 1:33:06Speaker 16: She says, look.
- 1:33:08Speaker 8: She makes what is, to me, an obvious observation. She's
- 1:33:14Speaker 8: saying we, meaning WNBA, shouldn't have to play against men.
- 1:33:18Speaker 8: So there should not be transgender men playing in a
- 1:33:23Speaker 8: women's basketball league. And you'd have thought the world came
- 1:33:26Speaker 8: apart for that league. Because they just went ballistic.
- 1:33:31Speaker 10: Yeah, there are people been protesting.
- 1:33:32Speaker 37: I can play the clip back from July of Sophie
- 1:33:35Speaker 37: Cunningham saying that it's not fair for biological men to
- 1:33:38Speaker 37: play against women in sports. And then also going on
- 1:33:41Speaker 37: to say she doesn't hate anyone. She's not trying to
- 1:33:43Speaker 37: be mean to anybody. She just thinks that women's sports
- 1:33:46Speaker 37: should be women. If we want to play that clip.
- 1:33:47Speaker 10: That's that's a must get it.
- 1:33:48Speaker 3: You covered it. You covered it. OK, I'm trying to
- 1:33:51Speaker 3: do the short.
- 1:33:51Speaker 10: No, it's OK.
- 1:33:52Speaker 8: OK, now then, of course, there's the famous incident where
- 1:33:56Speaker 8: a couple of Sophie's fans were who agree with her, kids.
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: Holding up signs, sitting down on the court.
- 1:34:05Speaker 8: And they go, Sophie, thanks for speaking out.
- 1:34:09Speaker 3: And one of the owners of.
- 1:34:10Speaker 8: The Seattle Storm, who is a lesbian also, decides she
- 1:34:15Speaker 8: can't tolerate a couple of signs and kids with that message.
- 1:34:20Speaker 3: And she runs over there and.
- 1:34:22Speaker 8: She throws a fit and does a screaming and a
- 1:34:24Speaker 8: yelling and drops a bunch of expletives and tries to
- 1:34:28Speaker 8: kick them out and goes off on the fans.
- 1:34:32Speaker 3: She gets a five-game suspension.
- 1:34:35Speaker 8: And as I famously said on this show, that wasn't enough.
- 1:34:40Speaker 8: They need to hang her up by her balls. And,
- 1:34:43Speaker 8: of course, that didn't go over well.
- 1:34:44Speaker 3: In the WNBA either.
- 1:34:46Speaker 10: Yeah, Celeste Keaton, by the way, is that woman's name.
- 1:34:48Speaker 3: Yeah, okay.
- 1:34:49Speaker 8: So let's bring it forward now to what happened within
- 1:34:53Speaker 8: the last 48 hours.
- 1:34:54Speaker 37: So within the last 48 hours, Sophie Cunningham was clotheslined
- 1:34:57Speaker 37: by someone from the Chicago Sky.
- 1:34:59Speaker 10: That's a tackle, basically.
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: She was running for the basket.
- 1:35:03Speaker 37: Right, and just absolutely demolished.
- 1:35:05Speaker 8: What they would call a hard foul, only the— This lady,
- 1:35:10Speaker 8: what's her name, Marjan Cunningham or Dijon Cunningham?
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: Yeah, something like that.
- 1:35:13Speaker 10: Dijon, I think.
- 1:35:13Speaker 8: Yeah, took her arm and just went straight for her
- 1:35:16Speaker 8: neck and knocked her over to the side.
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: And she got a hard foul, a technical, threw her
- 1:35:21Speaker 3: out of the game. And, of course, what does the
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: lady do?
- 1:35:25Speaker 8: What does she put on Twitter right after she gets
- 1:35:27Speaker 8: cooked out using the words at Indiana Fever.
- 1:35:32Speaker 10: On her Twitter account? So two things.
- 1:35:34Speaker 37: Dijon Carrington was her name, and she put up white
- 1:35:37Speaker 37: privilege as what she thinks was the reason that she
- 1:35:40Speaker 37: got kicked out of the game for clotheslining a white player.
- 1:35:43Speaker 37: And actually, this is also crazy within the world of
- 1:35:45Speaker 37: the Indiana Fever. The head coach of the Fever defended
- 1:35:48Speaker 37: Dijon Carrington. She did not defend her own player, so
- 1:35:51Speaker 37: now there's calls for Stephanie White to be.
- 1:35:53Speaker 10: Fired, the head coach of the Fever. Well, no, no,
- 1:35:55Speaker 10: for the opposite.
- 1:35:56Speaker 37: She defended the black woman that clotheslined her player because
- 1:36:00Speaker 37: she used to coach her, I guess, in a previous team.
- 1:36:03Speaker 10: So it's kind of crazy. All of it's insane.
- 1:36:06Speaker 8: And then I saw that the AG in Florida wants
- 1:36:08Speaker 8: to fall charges.
- 1:36:09Speaker 10: Yes, assault charges, which is amazing.
- 1:36:11Speaker 16: All right, guess what?
- 1:36:13Speaker 3: The Senator Ben Gordon. I don't know why he wants
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: to comment on this.
- 1:36:16Speaker 25: Do it, Paul.
- 1:36:17Speaker 3: Let's get him on the show.
- 1:36:19Speaker 8: El Senador. Thanks for joining us on The Voice of Texas.
- 1:36:22Speaker 8: You know what we're talking about, right?
- 1:36:25Speaker 9: Hey, not only am I commenting, I'm going to take
- 1:36:28Speaker 9: the clip we had from last week and post it
- 1:36:31Speaker 9: on Facebook in the morning.
- 1:36:32Speaker 2: Oh, nice.
- 1:36:32Speaker 9: So you guys are geniuses.
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: Nice.
- 1:36:36Speaker 10: Fantastic.
- 1:36:39Speaker 9: And look, and Craig, you're right. That coach... Stephanie White
- 1:36:43Speaker 9: has continuously taken her ownership view, not supported Caitlin.
- 1:36:50Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:36:50Speaker 8: And now.
- 1:36:51Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:36:52Speaker 9: Just she's always against her own players. And and especially
- 1:36:58Speaker 9: on any type of policy issue is whatever you want
- 1:37:01Speaker 9: to call this.
- 1:37:02Speaker 3: Are you talking about the Indiana Fever?
- 1:37:04Speaker 10: Yes, the Indiana Fever.
- 1:37:06Speaker 8: I thought she defended Caitlyn and said that about three
- 1:37:10Speaker 8: weeks ago.
- 1:37:11Speaker 10: Stephanie White has somewhat defended Caitlyn Clark.
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: Because she's getting beat up.
- 1:37:16Speaker 37: Not gone far enough, as Senator Betancourt is saying. And
- 1:37:18Speaker 37: then when it comes to Sophie Cunningham in the clothesline,
- 1:37:21Speaker 37: the head coach of the Indiana Fever defended the woman
- 1:37:24Speaker 37: who clotheslined her player. Dijon Carrington, yes, because she used
- 1:37:28Speaker 37: to coach her for some other teams.
- 1:37:29Speaker 3: Oh, that's disgusting.
- 1:37:30Speaker 8: I mean, you can watch it on you can watch
- 1:37:32Speaker 8: the clip. It's obviously it's terrible.
- 1:37:35Speaker 9: I mean, no, she I mean, she took her head off. Now,
- 1:37:38Speaker 9: the other thing is, and Craig, correct me if I'm wrong,
- 1:37:41Speaker 9: the the ownership of the of the fever is GLBTQ, whatever.
- 1:37:48Speaker 34: Right.
- 1:37:49Speaker 9: Am I missing that?
- 1:37:50Speaker 10: Yes, GLBTQ, whatever.
- 1:37:52Speaker 3: Oh, the Indiana ownership is?
- 1:37:54Speaker 10: Yes, and the head coach is also, I think, a
- 1:37:56Speaker 10: lesbian woman.
- 1:37:57Speaker 8: Because I know the Seattle Storm coaches and owners are.
- 1:38:00Speaker 37: It's not a made-up stat that 75% of the WNBA
- 1:38:04Speaker 37: is gay women.
- 1:38:06Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:38:07Speaker 8: So they've got to make a decision if they're going
- 1:38:09Speaker 8: to allow transgender men to play in a WNBA basketball game.
- 1:38:14Speaker 8: They are now going to have to— they' re going to be
- 1:38:16Speaker 8: forced to make that decision.
- 1:38:18Speaker 9: Well, they are, because who is the guy? I was
- 1:38:24Speaker 9: watching his announcement. He was just having fun with it.
- 1:38:27Speaker 3: Oh, the former NBA player, right?
- 1:38:30Speaker 9: Yeah, the guy from Turkey.
- 1:38:32Speaker 4: Oh, dude, yeah.
- 1:38:32Speaker 21: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:38:33Speaker 16: The dude.
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: He's a conservative.
- 1:38:34Speaker 9: He was having a blast with it. But so the
- 1:38:37Speaker 9: problem they've got is they're being hosted, if you pardon,
- 1:38:41Speaker 9: on their own batard. And what I love about your,
- 1:38:44Speaker 9: what did you say last week? is whether they have
- 1:38:47Speaker 9: the balls to do the right decision. I can't remember.
- 1:38:50Speaker 8: It's something like that. What I said was that the
- 1:38:58Speaker 8: Seattle Storm coach only got a five-game suspension for trying
- 1:39:04Speaker 8: to eject and screaming and yelling at a bunch of kids.
- 1:39:07Speaker 8: And as far as I was concerned, that was not enough.
- 1:39:10Speaker 8: They ought to hang her by her balls.
- 1:39:12Speaker 2: True.
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: I think that's my exact point.
- 1:39:15Speaker 4: Obviously.
- 1:39:16Speaker 9: That's your exact quote. Well, then we're going to post
- 1:39:18Speaker 9: that in the morning.
- 1:39:19Speaker 37: Well, and by the way, anybody who's offended by that,
- 1:39:22Speaker 37: she does not have balls, is Ben's joke, so go ahead.
- 1:39:25Speaker 3: You had to explain it?
- 1:39:26Speaker 10: I wanted to, just in case. We got comments from
- 1:39:29Speaker 10: people offended.
- 1:39:29Speaker 7: Really?
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: We got really?
- 1:39:31Speaker 10: Yeah, just one.
- 1:39:31Speaker 11: Okay.
- 1:39:33Speaker 12: Okay, can we.
- 1:39:34Speaker 9: Can we hit a rim shot.
- 1:39:36Speaker 3: Now to make it clear? I don't know. I don't
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: have that thing turned on.
- 1:39:40Speaker 9: It's number two, Ben.
- 1:39:41Speaker 3: No, it's not on, Paul.
- 1:39:42Speaker 9: It's number two.
- 1:39:43Speaker 3: I don't use that thing.
- 1:39:44Speaker 9: All right, whatever.
- 1:39:45Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:39:45Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:39:46Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:39:46Speaker 8: You got anything serious first today or what?
- 1:39:49Speaker 9: Well, the serious swirl on all this is that they
- 1:39:54Speaker 9: are running out of options to come out with a
- 1:39:57Speaker 9: rational plan.
- 1:39:58Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:39:59Speaker 9: And here is the money of this. For the first time,
- 1:40:04Speaker 9: this league has not lost money when this year because
- 1:40:08Speaker 9: of Caitlin Clark and all the publicity that she's brought it. Now,
- 1:40:13Speaker 9: what's happening with Cunningham is being the defender, I mean,
- 1:40:18Speaker 9: they're trying to take her head off too. And let's
- 1:40:23Speaker 9: call it what it is, the woke NBA, for lack
- 1:40:26Speaker 9: of a better description.
- 1:40:27Speaker 11: Sure.
- 1:40:28Speaker 9: Okay. They're going to have to decide... whether or not
- 1:40:32Speaker 9: making a profit is more important than all this other
- 1:40:37Speaker 9: woke nonsense, because that's what they've been preaching, because that's
- 1:40:43Speaker 9: what their employees want to hear. But the reality is,
- 1:40:49Speaker 9: is that if you believe in making money and having tolerance,
- 1:40:55Speaker 9: and you don't care what you look like, who you
- 1:40:58Speaker 9: sleep with, where you're from, as long as the value
- 1:41:02Speaker 9: of work performed means, are you scoring goals and getting
- 1:41:06Speaker 9: rebounds or whatever else and assist? And that's the real
- 1:41:10Speaker 9: problem because now actually it's been exploded into the national
- 1:41:15Speaker 9: consciousness that Caitlin Clark is the best player on the,
- 1:41:20Speaker 9: in the league. And she happens to be a straight
- 1:41:23Speaker 9: white kid as opposed to some hatchet LGBTQ.
- 1:41:28Speaker 3: And the rest of the league is offended by it,
- 1:41:30Speaker 3: of course.
- 1:41:31Speaker 37: And we really do need to understand that when Caitlin
- 1:41:33Speaker 37: Clark plays, the WNBA averages two and a half million viewers.
- 1:41:37Speaker 8: Hey, and tonight they're playing and I'm going to be
- 1:41:39Speaker 8: kicking back, drinking a beer. popping some popcorn, watching the
- 1:41:44Speaker 8: Indiana Fever play the New York Liberty.
- 1:41:48Speaker 10: When Caitlin Clark doesn't play, it's half a million.
- 1:41:50Speaker 37: So it's a 500% increase in viewership when Caitlin Clark
- 1:41:55Speaker 37: is playing.
- 1:41:56Speaker 10: Correct.
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:41:57Speaker 9: So anyway, I'll leave you with I'm posting that clip
- 1:42:01Speaker 9: in the morning.
- 1:42:01Speaker 15: Awesome.
- 1:42:01Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:42:04Speaker 3: Let's promote it.
- 1:42:05Speaker 11: There we go.
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: Let's do whatever we can.
- 1:42:06Speaker 9: Let's juice it.
- 1:42:07Speaker 10: Let's do everything we can.
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:42:11Speaker 3: We'll take the rest of your calls and comments.

- 1:45:46Speaker 2: On the voice of Texas.
- 1:45:52Speaker 3: I think that's how we knock the cameras off.
- 1:45:57Speaker 31: My bad.
- 1:46:06Speaker 3: And welcome back to The Voice of Texas.
- 1:46:08Speaker 8: Thanks for joining us on a Tuesday drive home afternoon.
- 1:46:13Speaker 8: Been the strew with the view, the soul man. Subbing
- 1:46:16Speaker 8: for the X-Man today. He'll be back tomorrow taking... A
- 1:46:19Speaker 8: little time off to deal with some family business. We're
- 1:46:22Speaker 8: wishing them well. And we'll just close out the show here.
- 1:46:27Speaker 8: We've got the next guy in line. Craig Collins is
- 1:46:31Speaker 8: on with me. He, of course, does the show right
- 1:46:34Speaker 8: after this one from 6 to 7. And we've been
- 1:46:38Speaker 8: talking a little bit about the NBA. He's our expert
- 1:46:40Speaker 8: on all things NBA. And let's get Emily on the
- 1:46:44Speaker 8: line who's been holding. Emily, appreciate you holding. Thanks for
- 1:46:47Speaker 8: joining us on The Voice of Texas.
- 1:46:49Speaker 3: Go ahead, Emily.
- 1:46:51Speaker 38: Yes, thank you all for hosting today. Before, I want
- 1:46:54Speaker 38: to bring up a really key point that I think
- 1:46:56Speaker 38: we can win the strategy with the Senate race. Before
- 1:47:01Speaker 38: I do, I want to give a call out to
- 1:47:03Speaker 38: Lucas and Craig. Y'all are so talented. If you combine
- 1:47:07Speaker 38: your talent with Chris X, with the music idea, listen
- 1:47:10Speaker 38: to your segment about the music. You can take back–
- 1:47:14Speaker 38: there's a void in radio with the losing sense of humor,
- 1:47:17Speaker 38: and there's no music that really captures that like Rochelle
- 1:47:20Speaker 38: Lombard did. If you guys work together, I would like
- 1:47:23Speaker 38: to see your talent. I'd like to see what you
- 1:47:24Speaker 38: do with the music. So I back you up on that,
- 1:47:27Speaker 38: and I hope you can collaborate.
- 1:47:29Speaker 3: Okay. Hey, Emily, hang on one second. Don't tell anybody,
- 1:47:36Speaker 3: but what she's talking about with the music, is that like.
- 1:47:39Speaker 10: The AI music stuff that we're doing?
- 1:47:40Speaker 3: Oh, you mean like... No, I've heard a little.
- 1:47:42Speaker 38: Bit, but I think you can do a lot more.
- 1:47:44Speaker 5: We could.
- 1:47:44Speaker 38: I write parodies, and I can send you material, and
- 1:47:46Speaker 38: I think you could do a lot more with the
- 1:47:48Speaker 38: video and music and fill that void.
- 1:47:50Speaker 37: You're talking about the parodies that Rush Limbaugh used to do.
- 1:47:53Speaker 41: Yeah.
- 1:47:55Speaker 3: Hang on, hang on, hang on, Emily. Hang on, hang on.
- 1:47:59Speaker 3: What is she talking about?
- 1:48:00Speaker 10: Well, Rush Limbaugh used to do a bunch of parody
- 1:48:02Speaker 10: music and stuff.
- 1:48:03Speaker 3: Making fun of.
- 1:48:05Speaker 37: Some of the AI music that we've been making and
- 1:48:08Speaker 37: that I've been making actually does include some parody stuff
- 1:48:11Speaker 37: and jokes.
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: Really?
- 1:48:13Speaker 10: Yeah, there's a way to push even further.
- 1:48:14Speaker 3: How am I missing that?
- 1:48:15Speaker 10: Why it's it's relatively new.
- 1:48:17Speaker 8: But okay well send it to me so i can
- 1:48:19Speaker 8: understand all right now you may proceed yes.
- 1:48:24Speaker 38: Yeah since you're a strategist you know i want to
- 1:48:26Speaker 38: you know encourage like i think we can unite with
- 1:48:29Speaker 38: the christian democrats who are horrified about the woke agenda
- 1:48:34Speaker 38: taking over And Fetterman has stood up and is not
- 1:48:37Speaker 38: afraid to stay within the party and put this down.
- 1:48:40Speaker 38: There's a strategy. Salazar, a Republican in Florida, I think
- 1:48:44Speaker 38: she's from Florida, wrote a resolution that got past the
- 1:48:47Speaker 38: House denouncing the horrors of socialism. So we unite with
- 1:48:51Speaker 38: the parties and write something that declares the Democratic Party
- 1:48:55Speaker 38: that your socialism is a political religion, and it is
- 1:48:58Speaker 38: unconstitutional to abuse government to promote these things. And we
- 1:49:02Speaker 38: sign a resolution. If Tallarica will not sign it and
- 1:49:06Speaker 38: other people will not sign it, we'll expose them. So
- 1:49:09Speaker 38: even if they win, we will have created enough people,
- 1:49:13Speaker 38: like the libertarians are against it. My anarchist Christian friends
- 1:49:16Speaker 38: are against it. If we can unite, we can have
- 1:49:19Speaker 38: a group that will check every single thing that they post,
- 1:49:23Speaker 38: that they try to pass this legislation, and we can
- 1:49:26Speaker 38: strike it down if we unite. So we can start
- 1:49:28Speaker 38: doing this before the election and start exposing which people
- 1:49:32Speaker 38: are with us and which people are allowing this to
- 1:49:35Speaker 38: take over when it is unconstitutional and really find out
- 1:49:39Speaker 38: who are the real Christian constitutionalists that are willing to
- 1:49:42Speaker 38: unite and bring our parties together on what we have
- 1:49:45Speaker 38: in common.
- 1:49:46Speaker 8: So, Emily, I'd like to, just to put it in sequence,
- 1:49:51Speaker 8: I'd like to get everybody to unite in order to
- 1:49:54Speaker 8: prevent it from happening in the first place.
- 1:49:57Speaker 3: That would be my primary objective. And in order to
- 1:50:01Speaker 3: do that, I agree with you that.
- 1:50:05Speaker 8: We need, and when I say we, we play a
- 1:50:09Speaker 8: very small part here on KSCV, but in terms of
- 1:50:12Speaker 8: the Republican leadership.
- 1:50:15Speaker 3: We need to.
- 1:50:18Speaker 8: Demonstrate and show the American people what their plans are
- 1:50:24Speaker 8: and then make sure that Democrat candidates cannot run away
- 1:50:30Speaker 8: from it. So in Texas, Tallarico has, it's an advantage
- 1:50:37Speaker 8: and disadvantage. His advantage is he can always claim that
- 1:50:42Speaker 8: the wacko in Michigan is too extreme and he would.
- 1:50:46Speaker 3: Never do that.
- 1:50:47Speaker 8: And whatever it is, but that's really not what's going
- 1:50:51Speaker 8: to happen.
- 1:50:52Speaker 3: If he wins, if he wins, he's going to support
- 1:50:55Speaker 3: it all the way down the line.
- 1:50:57Speaker 8: But you still have to capture him and you have
- 1:51:00Speaker 8: to you have to force him to commit.
- 1:51:05Speaker 3: One way or another on some of these.
- 1:51:07Speaker 8: Insane agenda items in the Democrat socialist agenda. anathema to
- 1:51:23Speaker 8: people in Texas that are moderates. We can demonstrate his
- 1:51:28Speaker 8: voting record and then all the comments that he's made
- 1:51:31Speaker 8: over the years.
- 1:51:33Speaker 3: But right now, it's not.
- 1:51:35Speaker 8: Being consumed because it's not being played in the media
- 1:51:39Speaker 8: because Paxton is at such a fundraising deficit. And the
- 1:51:43Speaker 8: primary cause for that are that Republican check writers, the
- 1:51:49Speaker 8: business community, the contributors are have not contributed to Paxton
- 1:51:54Speaker 8: because they don't like him and they were primarily Cornyn supporters.
- 1:51:59Speaker 8: And that's where we're at. And if they dither too long,
- 1:52:02Speaker 8: we're going to lose this thing. So we have to
- 1:52:06Speaker 8: get people to wake up. And if they don't want
- 1:52:08Speaker 8: to write a check to Paxton, they can still write
- 1:52:11Speaker 8: a check to the Republican Senate Campaign Committee, who can
- 1:52:15Speaker 8: then write a check to Paxton or help Paxton out,
- 1:52:19Speaker 8: along with defeating that wacko in Michigan, where we have
- 1:52:22Speaker 8: a chance to pick up a Senate seat. So that's
- 1:52:24Speaker 8: kind of my cosmic view of what you said.
- 1:52:27Speaker 3: We've got about a minute left. I'll let you have
- 1:52:28Speaker 3: a couple more words, and we'll have to tune out.
- 1:52:32Speaker 38: Yes, I support you on that. I think if we,
- 1:52:35Speaker 38: the resolution, like we write something where we denounce, that
- 1:52:38Speaker 38: we recognize that these are unconstitutional things and they require
- 1:52:42Speaker 38: consent of the public. You can agree with medicine, but
- 1:52:45Speaker 38: it has to be written where you agree where the
- 1:52:48Speaker 38: line is drawn and not create Obamacare that crossed that line.
- 1:52:51Speaker 38: So if we form a council, we agree, whoever gets elected,
- 1:52:55Speaker 38: we form this council to check and balance and make
- 1:52:58Speaker 38: sure any of.
- 1:52:58Speaker 3: This agenda crosses the line. All right, Emily, we've got
- 1:53:02Speaker 3: to go. Keep us posted, okay? Craig Collins, you're up next.
- 1:53:06Speaker 3: What do you have planned for us?
- 1:53:08Speaker 37: I got a lot of stuff planned, including more Democratic
- 1:53:10Speaker 37: Socialist insanity and actually a big take on Tallarico and Paxton,
- 1:53:14Speaker 37: what Paxton said about spending money.
- 1:53:16Speaker 3: More insanity! I know, more insanity. Okay, I'll listen on
- 1:53:20Speaker 3: the way home. Have fun. All right, we'll talk to
- 1:53:22Speaker 3: you later.
