- 0:09Speaker 2: She said, she likes it that I've cut my head
- 0:11Speaker 2: down and I don't look.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Like a famous basketball player.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Baron Something, Baron Davis Wilde.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Yes, you Baron Davis.
- 0:20Speaker 2: She said, Tyson Chandler, who's a light skinned fellow. But
- 0:23Speaker 2: then it made me realize, Oh, my wife thinks Tyson
- 0:25Speaker 2: Chandler's handsome one too. Oh ship, my wife knows a
- 0:28Speaker 2: little bit about basketball. Okay, okay, I like it. Thank you.
- 0:36Speaker 2: First of all.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Yeah, so much to talk about.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I miss you, guys. It's been each other, miss you.
- 0:44Speaker 2: When's the last time we saw each other. It's been
- 0:46Speaker 2: like a week, right, yeah.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Yeah, we took we took, we skipped to day, so
- 0:51Speaker 1: it's been a long time. I was thinking about you guys.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I miss you.
- 0:56Speaker 1: We have so much we haven't talked about. Are you recording? Donald?
- 0:59Speaker 2: Of course I'm recording.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Also, also real quick, exactly did you did your did
- 1:03Speaker 3: your recorder at all get bumped in transit? You were
- 1:06Speaker 3: a tiny bit loud on today's episode What do You
- 1:08Speaker 3: Want It on?
- 1:08Speaker 1: It's on six point five.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I don't think. I don't think he was loud. I
- 1:13Speaker 2: think he was drunk. Maybe I wasn't drunk. Dude, you
- 1:17Speaker 2: sound fucking the last episode.
- 1:22Speaker 1: It wasn't that bad. But it wasn't that bad. But
- 1:26Speaker 1: I'll confess something to you and our listeners. I had
- 1:29Speaker 1: had more than one acceptable but no, I listened to
- 1:38Speaker 1: it too, and it was funny. I was laughing. But
- 1:40Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, I need to not drink
- 1:43Speaker 1: lots of wine.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Do this as he SIPs wine right now.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Yeah, but we were funny as hell.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I had a lot of fun I had a lot.
- 1:49Speaker 1: It was a good one.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Now see, now I want to go downstairs. I know
- 1:53Speaker 2: we started already and I said I was gonna see
- 1:55Speaker 2: what you were doing. And now that you drink it,
- 1:57Speaker 2: I wish I would have got a drink.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Now, man, well you can run and get one if
- 2:00Speaker 1: you want. Run Tell that, run, tell that dude.
- 2:04Speaker 2: They hooked us up.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Oh did you see that?
- 2:07Speaker 2: You're the one that said it to me.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Yeah. The guys from the Ramp song.
- 2:12Speaker 2: They also did. They also did the run and tell
- 2:14Speaker 2: that homeboy. They also did He's climbing in your windows.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Nat Danielle people.
- 2:19Speaker 1: That's the same guys. Oh well, they took all of
- 2:23Speaker 1: me and Donald's versions of singing on the podcast, and
- 2:26Speaker 1: then they cut a video together of the Ramp song
- 2:29Speaker 1: with our versions. It's fire. Pretty cool those guys. Those
- 2:36Speaker 1: guys are talented fellas.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, when when it comes to auto tune
- 2:39Speaker 2: and writings, they should write originals man ship because they're taking,
- 2:44Speaker 2: they're taking.
- 2:44Speaker 1: They found a niche.
- 2:45Speaker 2: They found a niche, but they're taking, they're taking gibberation
- 2:49Speaker 2: turning it into fire.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Actually write a pop song, you know what I mean? Yeah,
- 2:54Speaker 1: I mean they.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Took some meaningful words and turned it into listened.
- 2:57Speaker 1: All these famous people are releasing big track and I'm
- 3:00Speaker 1: not walking around singing any of them. I'm walking around
- 3:03Speaker 1: singing the Ramp song.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Down the Ramp trending number one.
- 3:12Speaker 1: We have to talk about the wop? Is that how
- 3:15Speaker 1: you say it? Wop?
- 3:16Speaker 2: You got to write? I'm glad you questions. I want
- 3:20Speaker 2: to talk about it.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Let's do it.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Let's get into the.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I I need your All three of you are are
- 3:29Speaker 1: pop pop culture knowledgeable.
- 3:31Speaker 2: We're very we're all very much hip hop heads too,
- 3:34Speaker 2: So you're in our lane right now.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Okay, now is the point of the song too, in
- 3:40Speaker 1: addition to being funny, because it's obviously provocative and it's
- 3:43Speaker 1: obviously funny, I found the lyrics are very funny to say, like,
- 3:49Speaker 1: fuck you to the patriarchy. We women can talk about
- 3:53Speaker 1: our sexuality just as aggressively and in your face as
- 3:57Speaker 1: men do. So while you're talking about your big dicks,
- 4:00Speaker 1: we're tired of hearing about it. Let's talk about my
- 4:02Speaker 1: wet ass pussy.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Yeah now, yess.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Yeah, because then an energy since Chrina, it's it's a
- 4:09Speaker 5: little kim our foremothers laid after of just being openly,
- 4:15Speaker 5: you know, proud of our sexuality, of our sexual desires.
- 4:20Speaker 5: Like it's just all out there and in your face.
- 4:22Speaker 5: And I feel like that's just hip hop culture. And
- 4:24Speaker 5: people sometimes get weirded out when women do it. They're like,
- 4:26Speaker 5: I don't know what all of this, like taking charge
- 4:28Speaker 5: of your own orgasm is.
- 4:29Speaker 4: It scares me, Ben Shapiro.
- 4:34Speaker 2: It's really interesting because women in hip hop first started
- 4:37Speaker 2: off as like conscious rappers and stuff like that, and
- 4:39Speaker 2: that's all you would hear was, you know, don't you
- 4:42Speaker 2: put your hands on me or you know, shit like that.
- 4:45Speaker 2: And now it's like look, man, if deedch fuckers can
- 4:49Speaker 2: say it, If dudes can say it, why can't I
- 4:51Speaker 2: say it? And what makes my lyrics different if I
- 4:54Speaker 2: say that shit?
- 4:56Speaker 1: Right? But these days are there, And forgive me for
- 4:59Speaker 1: knowing so little about him, but fortunately I have you
- 5:01Speaker 1: guys these days. I know that rappers say a lot
- 5:04Speaker 1: of crazy stuff, But is it? Is it as sexualized
- 5:07Speaker 1: these days as as the female version in wop?
- 5:12Speaker 2: Absolutely yes. If you listen to Snoop Dogg's Doggy Style
- 5:17Speaker 2: on the radio, you can't even play the whole thing.
- 5:19Speaker 2: It's just like and they're not saying sniggittty niggity the
- 5:26Speaker 2: shizzled are like they have to you know what I mean?
- 5:30Speaker 2: And he's talking about you know, the first record is
- 5:33Speaker 2: called Doggy Style, you know what I mean?
- 5:35Speaker 1: Right? But that's I guess that's an old album I'm
- 5:38Speaker 1: talking about. Like, these days, do rappers still talk about
- 5:40Speaker 1: sexuality as much as they seem to use?
- 5:42Speaker 5: Gucci Man's b sides are typically pretty like, oh that's foul,
- 5:47Speaker 5: but I love it, So it's there, It's out there.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I don't think I'm gonna I'm gonna say I don't
- 5:53Speaker 2: think it's as much nowadays. I think because of uh,
- 5:58Speaker 2: the climate, it's not as much nowadays. But I am
- 6:00Speaker 2: all for what Cardi b and Meg the Stallion are
- 6:04Speaker 2: representing with wop Man. That shit is. That's one it's
- 6:07Speaker 2: fire to you know, who doesn't like a wop.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I'm just curious about because the country. I mean, she's
- 6:16Speaker 1: obviously a provocate tour and she did a great sorry
- 6:19Speaker 1: they are Provocaos's tours whatever, and I think they did
- 6:24Speaker 1: a great job getting the world's attention with it, and
- 6:27Speaker 1: not just for what they were saying. I mean, obviously
- 6:29Speaker 1: they looked great and the set was shot really cool.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I thought it was cleverly done, but it got all
- 6:35Speaker 1: the attention they could have possibly wanted, and I just
- 6:38Speaker 1: wanted to I thought we could have a conversation about
- 6:40Speaker 1: what is it that they're triggering in people. I guess
- 6:42Speaker 1: when people like Ben Shapiro, they're triggering people who conservatives
- 6:46Speaker 1: who might say, how dare these women say this kind
- 6:49Speaker 1: of thing to young kids?
- 6:51Speaker 5: Right, It's easy to think that this message is for children,
- 6:55Speaker 5: Like it's wild to be like these women have to
- 6:58Speaker 5: all of the time be represent is for young women,
- 7:01Speaker 5: and that's just absolutely not the case. Like there are
- 7:03Speaker 5: they're grown women doing grown women shit like that's always
- 7:06Speaker 5: going to be appropriate and in their lane.
- 7:09Speaker 4: I mean, I'm not a parent, but you have parental blocks.
- 7:11Speaker 2: And it has the sign the shit says explicit, which
- 7:15Speaker 2: means it's not for children. The fact that the fact
- 7:18Speaker 2: that anyone's thinking, yo, this is you know, you're you're
- 7:21Speaker 2: setting a bad example for kids. Kids aren't supposed to
- 7:24Speaker 2: be listening to this, So shame one those parents who
- 7:27Speaker 2: are get letting their kids listen to this.
- 7:29Speaker 1: By the way, the lyrics are crazy. I watched the video.
- 7:31Speaker 1: The lyrics are crazy. I watched the video on YouTube,
- 7:33Speaker 1: so it was mostly censored, and then I went and
- 7:36Speaker 1: I was screenshotting the lyrics and Sam mc donald because
- 7:38Speaker 1: I was laughing so hard at how hardcore and crazy
- 7:42Speaker 1: the lyrics are when you actually see a non censored version.
- 7:46Speaker 2: But She's like the other. Her and Meg are like
- 7:49Speaker 2: the other examples of what hip hop is. A lot
- 7:54Speaker 2: of these rappers started off as drug dealers. That's just
- 7:58Speaker 2: what it is, right, That's what it is, and they've
- 8:01Speaker 2: taken that negative and turned it into a positive. Jay
- 8:04Speaker 2: Z's a great example. Most rappers, you could go through,
- 8:06Speaker 2: all male rappers, and that's most likely where they started.
- 8:09Speaker 2: And here we are now and they're freaking spitting positive
- 8:12Speaker 2: messages or they're spinning this is how you get out.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Cardi B started off as a stripper Meg thee Stallion.
- 8:19Speaker 2: I don't know her background, but she shakes her ass
- 8:22Speaker 2: very well.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 8:24Speaker 2: She got skills. I'm just saying, if you could take,
- 8:28Speaker 2: if you could take all right, this was a part
- 8:30Speaker 2: of my life. I learned a lot from it. Not
- 8:33Speaker 2: only did I learn business from it, but I learned
- 8:35Speaker 2: that this is what all of you dudes really want.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Like she's literally all you dudes that are listening and
- 8:41Speaker 2: bopping at this shit or are looking at my ass,
- 8:43Speaker 2: I know this is what you want. And you know
- 8:44Speaker 2: what it's gonna do. It's gonna make me some money,
- 8:47Speaker 2: it's gonna put food on the table, it's gonna do
- 8:49Speaker 2: all of these things. It's gonna it's gonna give me
- 8:51Speaker 2: a bigger platform later on. Go for you. That's what
- 8:55Speaker 2: this is. That's what hip hop is about. That's what
- 8:57Speaker 2: rap is, that's what it's Ask.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Your question up, did you ever watch BET's the Basement
- 9:02Speaker 4: back in the day.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Of course I watched the basement.
- 9:04Speaker 4: See, isn't this much more?
- 9:05Speaker 5: Like this is so much less provocative that I think
- 9:08Speaker 5: people are acting like the nineties and early aughts never
- 9:10Speaker 5: happened like back in the day, Like you would just
- 9:13Speaker 5: legitimately be at a strip club, like with a like
- 9:16Speaker 5: old camera. It's dark, you can hardly see anything. People
- 9:19Speaker 5: are in states of undress like this to me seems
- 9:21Speaker 5: so much more tame than.
- 9:23Speaker 2: The Well, it's way more. It's way it's brighter, if
- 9:27Speaker 2: that's the way to say it. It's like shit, it's
- 9:29Speaker 2: like you've taken it was dingy back in the day.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Now that ships all in four K you know what
- 9:34Speaker 2: I mean right now, and that is like wow, and
- 9:41Speaker 2: look at that they got freaking look at the color
- 9:43Speaker 2: like it's it's it's it's it's fluorescent almost you know.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it wasn't an nWay that had a song that
- 9:50Speaker 1: was like, it's the World's biggest dick, don't matter. Just
- 9:53Speaker 1: don't bite it.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Dude, they n w A do you remember that song?
- 9:58Speaker 2: But you know what, let's take it back.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I never really listened. I just remember that. I just
- 10:02Speaker 1: remember that only lyric It's the World's biggest dick, don't matter.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Just don't bite it.
- 10:06Speaker 2: We could take it all the way back to Salt
- 10:08Speaker 2: and Pepper. I think Salt and Pepper are really worthy
- 10:11Speaker 2: beginning of what we're seeing right now, because before that,
- 10:14Speaker 2: I don't know if they really I don't. I can't
- 10:16Speaker 2: recall women that talked about sex the way Salt and
- 10:19Speaker 2: Pepper did. Then let's talk about sex. Baby. That one
- 10:23Speaker 2: got yo look. And this was controversial back then. You
- 10:25Speaker 2: know what I mean? You make me want to shoop
- 10:27Speaker 2: was controversial if you listen to the lyrics and shoot
- 10:30Speaker 2: song is phil they're talking about. You know, they're talking
- 10:33Speaker 2: about I saw a dude on the beach. His dick
- 10:35Speaker 2: looked big and made me want to shoop, made me
- 10:37Speaker 2: want you know what I mean.
- 10:39Speaker 1: So you're saying, shoop shoop shoop is about bucking.
- 10:42Speaker 2: No, not the Whitney Houston shoop shoop shoop shooo. Not
- 10:49Speaker 2: that one I'm talking about. You make me want to
- 10:52Speaker 2: shoop shoop shoop shoo.
- 10:54Speaker 6: B Ask ask.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Sarah the lyrics she was. Sarah knows the lyrics to them,
- 11:02Speaker 2: to that song. That song was about Sarah.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Chuck probably has no idea If there's sexual window. I
- 11:07Speaker 1: doubt Sarah went over her innocent ears.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I disagree with you one hundred percent.
- 11:11Speaker 5: I want to thank your mother for a BUTTL, that's
- 11:14Speaker 5: not a line that can easily go over there.
- 11:16Speaker 2: I want to know how does it hangs saying this
- 11:20Speaker 2: in the song dude? And there's a hit songs and
- 11:23Speaker 2: what a man? What a man? What a man? What
- 11:25Speaker 2: a mighty? Do that shit? Ain't talking about the dude
- 11:29Speaker 2: being a good dude to talk about this dude knows
- 11:31Speaker 2: how to fuck. That's what the song's about. Yeah, dog, Yeah.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I didn't know Dog Dog, probably song. I didn't know.
- 11:42Speaker 1: There's probably so many songs that we were bopping our
- 11:44Speaker 1: heads to and didn't know what the innuendo was about.
- 11:47Speaker 2: I always knew what the innuendo was Every R and
- 11:49Speaker 2: B song, Yeah, every ship the fucking song. The songs
- 11:54Speaker 2: in the nineties R and B songs were blatant as hell.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I mean they were straight up in your face. I
- 12:02Speaker 2: wanna sax you. That was right to it got right
- 12:06Speaker 2: to the point your let's do it.
- 12:09Speaker 1: You know what song? You know what song has more
- 12:12Speaker 1: sexual innuendo than any other? Donald the theme song to
- 12:15Speaker 1: fake doctors want to.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Count sender in that case from stories that show we
- 12:23Speaker 2: made about a bunch of talks and nurses.
- 12:28Speaker 7: I said, he's a storyes nets No, so gander ra
- 12:35Speaker 7: here yander here we show is.
- 12:43Speaker 1: So when I sing and a janitor who loves to hate,
- 12:46Speaker 1: what I'm really saying is, let's fuck im that they're
- 12:53Speaker 1: sexual innuendo in that j who knows really loves hate.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Let's fuck we gotta put that into the song. Stories
- 13:10Speaker 2: about a show we made about a bunch of doctor
- 13:15Speaker 2: nurses and janitor who loves to hate. Let's fuck that story.
- 13:25Speaker 2: So gathering round to here, let's fuck gather let's both
- 13:30Speaker 2: gather around to here? Arev watch show doggy style?
- 13:35Speaker 1: All right? That's the explicit version now available.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Now available as a ringtone.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Lots of get let's get into this episode. It was, uh,
- 13:43Speaker 1: I don't know what do you think about this one?
- 13:45Speaker 2: I liked this episode. It had a lot of really
- 13:47Speaker 2: cool guest stars in it.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Yes, Van Dyke and the legendary do his deal Hulley
- 13:54Speaker 1: wear colored contacts in this episode.
- 13:57Speaker 2: No, those are his eyes.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I believe he has magnificent eyes.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Then very handsome man, very very very handsome.
- 14:03Speaker 1: But I couldn't. He's one of those people their eyes
- 14:06Speaker 1: are so entrancing that you're like, are those contacts? Are
- 14:10Speaker 1: those lights?
- 14:11Speaker 2: They're very very light. Yes, he has light eyes. He
- 14:15Speaker 2: must have. He must have when he was younger. I'm
- 14:17Speaker 2: sure he worked it when he was in high school.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Look at his eyes. Works his whole life, no doubt.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Did you know D. L. Hughley at all as an
- 14:26Speaker 1: actor before you?
- 14:27Speaker 5: Uh?
- 14:28Speaker 1: He came on the show.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, he had a show back in the
- 14:31Speaker 2: day on NBC called The Hugles. Do you remember this?
- 14:35Speaker 1: I remember the title. I never saw an episode of it.
- 14:36Speaker 2: I don't know if it was on NBC or ABC. Right,
- 14:39Speaker 2: So I had met him before, but you know, when
- 14:45Speaker 2: he came in to play my brother, this was like
- 14:47Speaker 2: the first time where you know, now when I see him,
- 14:49Speaker 2: I can be myself around him and act like who
- 14:53Speaker 2: I am, Whereas when I had met him before, I
- 14:55Speaker 2: was very high. I'm Donald, It's nice to meet you.
- 14:59Speaker 2: I enjoy your work. Where now if I see him,
- 15:02Speaker 2: it's like, what's up, man? You know what you've been
- 15:04Speaker 2: up to and we have questions and you know, and but.
- 15:08Speaker 1: But when you guys, when he came on to do
- 15:09Speaker 1: the show, you didn't have a relationship.
- 15:10Speaker 2: No, we didn't have a relationship like that, no, but
- 15:13Speaker 2: I were so excited.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Everyone was very geeked about Dick van Dyke, obviously, I
- 15:18Speaker 1: mean we grew up on Dick Van Dyke and he
- 15:23Speaker 1: was just so warm and loving and Donald played music
- 15:26Speaker 1: with him, right, Don, what was that story?
- 15:28Speaker 2: So? Uh, you know, one of the first songs I
- 15:31Speaker 2: ever learned how to play on my guitar was I
- 15:35Speaker 2: got a book from like Disney, and Disney doesn't make
- 15:37Speaker 2: the book anymore, but it's one of the best books
- 15:40Speaker 2: ever made. It's literally guitar tabs on how to play
- 15:45Speaker 2: every one of their songs in the whole catalog, and
- 15:49Speaker 2: somewhere along the line it got lost, and so now
- 15:52Speaker 2: when I play the song, I only play it from memory.
- 15:56Speaker 2: But it was the it was the theme show, well
- 16:01Speaker 2: not the theme song, but the my in my opinion,
- 16:04Speaker 2: the best song in Mary Poppins Jolly Holliday, and I
- 16:08Speaker 2: learned how to play it, and uh, it just so
- 16:13Speaker 2: happened that Dick Van Dyke was on the show and
- 16:16Speaker 2: I couldn't believe it, and I was like, dude, I
- 16:18Speaker 2: know how to play that song, and he was like really,
- 16:21Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, I know how to play it.
- 16:22Speaker 2: He was like, well, okay, and then Zach, being the
- 16:25Speaker 2: brave person that he is when he meets like I
- 16:27Speaker 2: was just gonna leave it at that. Zach was like, Dick,
- 16:30Speaker 2: he's going to bring the guitar to set and you
- 16:31Speaker 2: got to sing. And I was like, Zach, you can't
- 16:33Speaker 2: be telling don't. Don't fucking boss Dick Van Dyke around and.
- 16:37Speaker 1: He's like, no, you gotta sing this.
- 16:39Speaker 2: You were very aggressive with it, and you were like,
- 16:41Speaker 2: you know, he's gonna do it.
- 16:42Speaker 1: He's gonna do I'm all about making my best friend's
- 16:45Speaker 1: dreams come true, and that means if that means embarrassing myself,
- 16:49Speaker 1: I'm willing to do it.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Well, you did it twice now because you did it.
- 16:52Speaker 2: You did it here, and then you with my wife,
- 16:54Speaker 2: you went up into the you went up into the
- 16:58Speaker 2: group of girls that she was hanging out with at
- 17:00Speaker 2: the club, gaggle, the gaggle to point me out to her.
- 17:04Speaker 2: So once again, thank you, you are you are by far
- 17:07Speaker 2: one of the best wing men.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Well, I think a friend, I thank you. I think
- 17:11Speaker 1: a friend needs to sometimes go oh my god. You know,
- 17:14Speaker 1: it would make Donald's like life if he got to
- 17:17Speaker 1: play that song, and Dick Van Dyke sang it like,
- 17:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna go make that happen.
- 17:22Speaker 2: If you can make one last thing happen, you and
- 17:24Speaker 2: I will be best friends forever.
- 17:25Speaker 1: I know what it is, and I'm already working on it.
- 17:27Speaker 6: I know.
- 17:27Speaker 2: I appreciate you very much. It's Star Wars, guys. It's right,
- 17:29Speaker 2: it's Star Wars anyway.
- 17:30Speaker 1: God don't don't give him the BNGO chips so early
- 17:33Speaker 1: in the show anyway.
- 17:34Speaker 2: So Dick Van Dyke, I go to set. I go.
- 17:36Speaker 2: First of all, we were at lunch when this happened.
- 17:38Speaker 2: So I go to my dressing room and now I'm practicing.
- 17:41Speaker 2: So I played a shit like I said to myself,
- 17:43Speaker 2: I could play it ten times straight without sucking up.
- 17:46Speaker 2: We're good. No no, no, no, no no, And I do
- 17:50Speaker 2: it and I go up there and I'm like in
- 17:52Speaker 2: my head, I'm like, I'm thinking maybe i'll sing on
- 17:55Speaker 2: verse and then he'll sing a verse. Whatever however it goes,
- 17:57Speaker 2: and he goes, you're ready, kid, and I'm like, yeah ready.
- 18:00Speaker 2: And nobody knew what we were gonna what was about
- 18:03Speaker 2: to happen, but we hadn't started shooting yet, and we
- 18:06Speaker 2: were at video village and so I start boom THEMMP,
- 18:11Speaker 2: don't boom, bun boom, don't ount, don't boom, don't out,
- 18:16Speaker 2: and he just jumps right in. Ain't it a glorious
- 18:18Speaker 2: day rise the morning in May? I feel? And now
- 18:24Speaker 2: at this point everybody notices, oh shit, Dick Van Dyke
- 18:28Speaker 2: singing jolly Holiday. All the attention goes from uh, getting
- 18:34Speaker 2: the shot ready for this for the scene to me
- 18:37Speaker 2: and now sound is like yo yo yo, turn turn up,
- 18:41Speaker 2: turn up, turn up. And now I got a boom
- 18:43Speaker 2: mic over me and Dick Van Dyke, and we're at
- 18:46Speaker 2: the point where we're at like you know, uh, he's
- 18:49Speaker 2: he's at I feel like I could fly, don't boom boom?
- 18:55Speaker 2: Have you ever seen? And to me it sounded like
- 18:59Speaker 2: he was singing it with the accent, but I'm sure
- 19:01Speaker 2: he was like have you ever seen sing? Right? And
- 19:05Speaker 2: so we finished the song and everything like that, and uh,
- 19:09Speaker 2: you know, there's a.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Big on video everywhere. I remember everyone flipped out. It
- 19:12Speaker 1: was so special. But I don't know if anyone ever
- 19:13Speaker 1: captured on video.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I don't think it was captured on it might have
- 19:17Speaker 2: been no, no, no, I think the steady camp. Whoever
- 19:19Speaker 2: was working the camera zoomed in and.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Sound oh everyone sort of flipped the cameras around.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Yeah, we and we kind of you know what I mean,
- 19:26Speaker 2: but it's nowhere to be found. I think Joe would
- 19:29Speaker 2: have it if he I think, wasn't he the sound
- 19:33Speaker 2: guy at the time.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Joe is our sound mixer.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so he might have it.
- 19:38Speaker 1: But anyway, it was a really special moment because Donald
- 19:40Speaker 1: was just like, you know, he loves the song. Anytime
- 19:43Speaker 1: Donald picks up a guitar, he plays this song, it's.
- 19:45Speaker 2: My it's my go to.
- 19:46Speaker 1: And there was Dick Van Dyke singing along with him.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I love how he was like, you're ready, kid, let's
- 19:50Speaker 1: do it.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Let's go Boom doom doom do and he and he
- 19:54Speaker 2: put on a show too, like he looked around at
- 19:56Speaker 2: everybody while he was singing it. It was like, yeah,
- 19:58Speaker 2: you know, when the attention, when the lights are on,
- 20:00Speaker 2: Dick Van diagnos how to freaking he turns up baby.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Yeah. We had aspired to get him on, but I
- 20:05Speaker 1: don't think we ever reached his people, did be Joelle.
- 20:08Speaker 1: We couldn't get an answer, sorry, fan, But also, I mean,
- 20:12Speaker 1: I have no idea what sort of what he's like
- 20:16Speaker 1: these days. He must be quite an older fella, so
- 20:19Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Well, he's playing an older fella in this episode, so
- 20:24Speaker 2: twenty years ago. Yeah, twenty years ago, So I imagine that.
- 20:27Speaker 1: He mean, I don't know how old he is. How
- 20:28Speaker 1: old is he? Joel?
- 20:29Speaker 2: You know he's got to be in his eighties. He's
- 20:31Speaker 2: got to be old. I think older than eighties.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I would say he's ninety. Really, let's see if
- 20:39Speaker 1: I'm right.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Drum roll please, ninety four ninety four.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Wow, he's up there with my grandfather. My grandfather is
- 20:46Speaker 2: around that age too.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Oh, and your grandfather's still alive.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess.
- 20:51Speaker 1: It would be weird if you're like, my grandfather's ninety four,
- 20:53Speaker 1: is he life? No, he's dead.
- 20:54Speaker 2: He's just he's ninety ninety four.
- 20:56Speaker 1: People really stopped counting keeping track of ages when when
- 20:59Speaker 1: people die? Some people just realize that. I just t people,
- 21:02Speaker 1: I have a good question, tribuat question before you end
- 21:05Speaker 1: the episode. And I've been thinking about this for all
- 21:06Speaker 1: of you. Are you ready and you the audience will
- 21:08Speaker 1: play along, the First thing I'm gonna say is, guess
- 21:12Speaker 1: my question when I give the qualifier that is this
- 21:17Speaker 1: other than Empire Strikes Back and Godfather to Comma.
- 21:25Speaker 2: What's the best sequels? What are the best sequels ever made?
- 21:28Speaker 1: A sequel that's better, better than the original Aliens?
- 21:35Speaker 4: I disagree wellheartedly.
- 21:36Speaker 2: But you think Alien is better than Alien?
- 21:39Speaker 4: Yes, it's about a mother, Okay.
- 21:40Speaker 5: You think this wonderful film about a monster as a
- 21:43Speaker 5: mother and how we view ourselves as like women in
- 21:45Speaker 5: motherhood and turned into an action film, which is fine.
- 21:47Speaker 5: It's a good movie, but it does not hold up
- 21:49Speaker 5: to Alien. I fight my father on this too. It's fine,
- 21:53Speaker 5: it's fair.
- 21:55Speaker 2: We have problem because you said the end of Toy
- 21:59Speaker 2: Story three is the best ending of all movies ever.
- 22:03Speaker 4: Let's go yes, this is where this is.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Okay, this is where Joel and I defer. Okay, best
- 22:11Speaker 2: ending to a movie so far in my lifetime. M
- 22:17Speaker 2: I gotta think I had to think about it. I
- 22:19Speaker 2: really had to think about it. But I really truly
- 22:22Speaker 2: believe Endgame has one of the best endings ever to
- 22:28Speaker 2: a movie ever.
- 22:30Speaker 1: In you're going on a digression from my digression.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Can you no, no, no, no, no, no no.
- 22:35Speaker 1: We're not trying to go down in an Endgame run
- 22:37Speaker 1: hole right now.
- 22:38Speaker 2: But this is the conversation that Joel and I need
- 22:40Speaker 2: to have before we move forward. I say, Endgame has
- 22:44Speaker 2: a pretty good ending, and I think that's why because
- 22:47Speaker 2: the movie is all right until the end when all
- 22:50Speaker 2: of that shit goes down.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I don't even think Toy Story three, well, no, I
- 22:54Speaker 2: take that back. I think Toy Story three is the
- 22:55Speaker 2: best of all the toy stories. Actually, if I really
- 22:57Speaker 2: think about it.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Here's another one on the list found that I agree with.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I think, do you want to hear another one? One
- 23:04Speaker 1: on the list because I googled what people had thought, please,
- 23:07Speaker 1: and one that I I might agree with. This might
- 23:08Speaker 1: be controversial, but Terminator two mm T.
- 23:12Speaker 4: Two is definitely better.
- 23:13Speaker 2: You think it's better one? Yeah, that's tough. Now, that's
- 23:17Speaker 2: a tough one for me because one is so one
- 23:19Speaker 2: was so scary for me, and two just became like
- 23:22Speaker 2: you said, it was just an action, was like a.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Toy Story two. Toy Story two.
- 23:26Speaker 3: That was gonna be my answer. Toy Story two, I
- 23:28Speaker 3: think it's better than story one, but.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Three is better than two.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Okay, I've never seen which is an incredible series. I've
- 23:35Speaker 1: never seen a Blade movie but they're saying Blade two
- 23:38Speaker 1: on this list.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Okay, well, you know, until Marvel came out with all
- 23:42Speaker 2: with Iron Man and stuff like that, Wesley Snipes had
- 23:45Speaker 2: the best superhero movie or a comic book superhero movie
- 23:50Speaker 2: period until.
- 23:52Speaker 4: Better than Superman.
- 23:53Speaker 5: Four where he goes flies around the earth in turns
- 23:57Speaker 5: of backwards.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Right, that's one. That's that's one. That's one.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Okay, the Gremlins two is on here.
- 24:05Speaker 2: There's no way Gremlin's two was better than Gremlins one.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I don't agree with that either. Donald, You'll feel passionately
- 24:11Speaker 1: about this. This list is saying Indiana Jones and the Temple.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Of Doom was better than Raiders.
- 24:17Speaker 1: I'm just saying, this is a list that's interrupt.
- 24:19Speaker 2: I don't think so it got it got crazy after that,
- 24:22Speaker 2: and then they reeled it back in when they got
- 24:23Speaker 2: Sean Connery. Uh in part three. I remember when I
- 24:28Speaker 2: was two.
- 24:28Speaker 1: It's saying Superman two.
- 24:30Speaker 2: I like Superman two better than one. Not your enough
- 24:33Speaker 2: to comment, you don't know enough about it.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Okay, I've not watched all the Superman movies.
- 24:38Speaker 2: There are there are there are, but there are several
- 24:40Speaker 2: different versions of Superman one and two. There's the long versions,
- 24:44Speaker 2: there're the short versions.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I got one other trivia for you that's really good. Ready, okay,
- 24:48Speaker 1: and then we'll and then we'll move on. This is
- 24:50Speaker 1: all I was thinking about while I was separated from
- 24:51Speaker 1: you guys, Like fun trivia questions for for people that
- 24:54Speaker 1: love movies. What's a what's the worst sequel following the
- 25:00Speaker 1: greatest film? That is the disparity between their goodness and
- 25:04Speaker 1: badness is the biggest one that came to mind. I
- 25:09Speaker 1: haven't even seen it, to be honest, but it's always
- 25:11Speaker 1: notoriously mocked. Would be Jaws two. Ah w interesting? You
- 25:18Speaker 1: guys got any ideas? Yeah, film was so ethically good,
- 25:22Speaker 1: and they made a sequel that was so horribly shite.
- 25:27Speaker 5: So not quite to those specifics, but the Fantastic Beast
- 25:31Speaker 5: sequel was so bad I had to walk out, and
- 25:33Speaker 5: I was like, this has completely derailed one of my
- 25:36Speaker 5: most beloved franchises of all time.
- 25:39Speaker 4: I'm devastated. Uh, I never walk out of a movie.
- 25:43Speaker 4: I left.
- 25:43Speaker 3: I got an answer. I might get torn up by
- 25:45Speaker 3: a Disney people for it. I think Frozen two is
- 25:49Speaker 3: markedly worse than Frozen.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Oh yes, yeah, I hope that goes.
- 25:54Speaker 1: I mean some people would say it goes without saying.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Some people would be like.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I will see you in your Mention's Friend.
- 26:02Speaker 3: So it was like there were so many bad tropes
- 26:05Speaker 3: in there, and there was some really really you know,
- 26:07Speaker 3: kind of shady suggestions.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Well the music wasn't It's just like whoa. The music
- 26:12Speaker 2: was was definitely not as good as it.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Was close You let it Go. And Frozen two there.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Was no Well, my favorite song in Frozen one was
- 26:21Speaker 2: olof song Bees Will Buzz, Kids will blow Down, They're
- 26:25Speaker 2: lion fuzz and I'll be doing whatever Snow does in
- 26:29Speaker 2: summer and in the sequel there was nothing that could
- 26:34Speaker 2: compare to that in my opinion.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Right, well, that's today's Game of Trivia, presented by Fake
- 26:40Speaker 1: Doctor's Real Friends.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I still feel like Toy Story three isn't the best ending.
- 26:46Speaker 4: I think let's let's bench this conversation.
- 26:48Speaker 2: I think Turn of the Jedi has a better ending.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I think Buttern of the Jedi was a better ending, But.
- 26:53Speaker 5: Then they have a better overarching arc throughout all three movies,
- 26:56Speaker 5: which would make its conclusion better. The end of the
- 26:58Speaker 5: third movie is the exactly ending as the first movie.
- 27:01Speaker 4: It's a loop and.
- 27:02Speaker 5: So you don't get that same as the next trajectory
- 27:05Speaker 5: of the three parts of Toy Story.
- 27:07Speaker 2: But well, yeah, because you know Andy has to give.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Andy has to lose those toys eventually. Exactly. I agree
- 27:14Speaker 2: one hundred percent. And you know what, you know what, Joelle.
- 27:18Speaker 4: We're gonna space to have these.
- 27:20Speaker 2: I cried, I'm not gonna lie though. I cried like
- 27:23Speaker 2: a baby at the end of Toy Story three when
- 27:26Speaker 2: he's on the freaking outside in the grass with the
- 27:29Speaker 2: girl playing with the toys, and then she's finally like
- 27:33Speaker 2: she goes to grab Woody and he's like, oh no,
- 27:35Speaker 2: this is this is nope, and then he realizes I
- 27:38Speaker 2: can't keep this forever. I need to keep im about
- 27:41Speaker 2: to tear up right now.
- 27:48Speaker 4: His mom at room I was undone.
- 27:51Speaker 1: I was like, you watch Toy Story four.
- 27:53Speaker 2: It's not the best. It's not as good as all.
- 27:56Speaker 1: I really thought it was boring as well. It was sweet,
- 28:00Speaker 1: all right.
- 28:02Speaker 2: All right, so get the time a ready, here we go,
- 28:04Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 28:04Speaker 1: All right, hold on to get right time? Are ready?
- 28:07Speaker 1: Warming it up? Warming it up? Okay, and here we go.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Donald will now summarize the episode in thirty seconds.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I don't know about summarize, Here we Go and Go.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Dick Van Dyke and d. L. Hughley guest star in
- 28:22Speaker 2: this episode. Both characters are there to be a form
- 28:25Speaker 2: of stability for Turkey and JD, while Elliott is left
- 28:28Speaker 2: fending for herself against Cox and Jordan. Carla has a
- 28:30Speaker 2: decision to make, and she fears what she decides could
- 28:33Speaker 2: haunt her for the rest of her life, but doctor
- 28:36Speaker 2: Kelso has the most important task to deal with. Sometimes
- 28:39Speaker 2: the right thing to do hurts us, but if it's right,
- 28:43Speaker 2: shouldn't it be worth the sacrifice?
- 28:46Speaker 1: Fire Wow, fucking twenty eight seconds, powerfully worded. It is
- 28:54Speaker 1: about something I'm sure comes up for real in hospitals.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I'm sure this probably came from real JD idea that
- 29:00Speaker 1: some doctors eat if they're not keeping up with the
- 29:03Speaker 1: latest medicine, have to retire because the ship gets antiquated
- 29:08Speaker 1: real quick.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh. And it doesn't necessarily have to be age
- 29:14Speaker 2: or anything like that. It really has to be. It
- 29:16Speaker 2: really is do you have the stamina to continue? You
- 29:20Speaker 2: know what I mean? If you have the stamina to learn?
- 29:22Speaker 2: And because once you once you're out of med school,
- 29:24Speaker 2: that doesn't mean learning is over for you. You still have
- 29:28Speaker 2: to learn what's new, and you know, new procedures and
- 29:31Speaker 2: and and that's what all these seminars and new uh
- 29:34Speaker 2: new uh medicine, that's what all of these seminars are for.
- 29:38Speaker 2: And also have the stamina to do that.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Then he also even says, like five years out of
- 29:42Speaker 1: med school, half of what you learned is obsolete. Somebody right, right,
- 29:46Speaker 1: So Ken was really good in this episode. It was
- 29:48Speaker 1: it was sort of the most human uh uh you know.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Ken when he was on the podcast was talking about
- 29:54Speaker 1: how he felt he was so cartoonish in season one,
- 29:57Speaker 1: and he was, and Bill had sort of told him like, look,
- 29:59Speaker 1: we're gonna to help you build a character that is
- 30:02Speaker 1: more than just the devil eyed bad guy. And I
- 30:06Speaker 1: thought this episode he had some funny lot of funny jokes,
- 30:09Speaker 1: but also particularly the scene at the end where he
- 30:11Speaker 1: has where he confronts Dick Van Dyke's character, I thought
- 30:16Speaker 1: that it was I was I was taken it back
- 30:19Speaker 1: by going, oh, this is this is a real moment
- 30:22Speaker 1: for Ken. He's really showing compassion, you know, and and
- 30:26Speaker 1: they're letting Ken act beyond being the spooky, scary bad guy.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Well that was one of my notes, Ken really does
- 30:33Speaker 2: shine in this episode. And it's not just it wasn't
- 30:36Speaker 2: just the end of the episode that that he really
- 30:40Speaker 2: that he really comes through. It's also when you come
- 30:42Speaker 2: into the office. When j D comes into the office
- 30:45Speaker 2: and rats on Dick Van Dyke's character and Ken is there.
- 30:51Speaker 2: You know, someone like me would be like, really is
- 30:56Speaker 2: this is this? So did you actually do this in
- 30:59Speaker 2: front of the person, Like that's where I have like
- 31:02Speaker 2: no couth, I guess uh, I might call the person
- 31:06Speaker 2: out in front of the person that was ratting on him,
- 31:09Speaker 2: But he waits. He waits until it's clear it's it's
- 31:14Speaker 2: you know, and then he makes his move to talk
- 31:17Speaker 2: to his friend because he knows one, this is gonna
- 31:19Speaker 2: hurt my friend. Two I don't want to embarrass him.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Yeah, and he definitely he definitely makes a conscious choice
- 31:26Speaker 1: that I'm not going to do this in front of
- 31:28Speaker 1: the young kid out of respect to him. But I
- 31:31Speaker 1: thought it was cool that he was like, hey, when
- 31:33Speaker 1: he confronts him in the ICU, he says, hey, we're
- 31:35Speaker 1: not doing that technique like you're doing it. You know,
- 31:39Speaker 1: our policy here is now we do it this way,
- 31:41Speaker 1: And he's like, oh, okay, and he's like, there's a
- 31:43Speaker 1: guy in bed too who needs one. I want to
- 31:45Speaker 1: see you do it. And it was like, oh yeah,
- 31:49Speaker 1: and uh clearly he clearly hadn't learned the new way
- 31:51Speaker 1: of doing the procedure.
- 31:53Speaker 2: You know. Yeah, it was very, very very I thought
- 31:57Speaker 2: I thought Ken was amazing in this episode.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Yeah. He Actually the first laugh I wrote down was
- 32:01Speaker 1: when at one O four but Ken walks in and
- 32:04Speaker 1: he's talking to me. He goes, don't think I have
- 32:06Speaker 1: anything against ugly people? And I go, why would I
- 32:09Speaker 1: think that? And he looks at me and he goes, uh,
- 32:12Speaker 1: no reason. I'm called ugly. By the way, for JD Slash,
- 32:16Speaker 1: Zach Braff was called ugly several times in the SUP.
- 32:19Speaker 2: And here's the kicker. And I you see have you
- 32:22Speaker 2: seen a picture of Brad Pitt's brother.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Yeah, he looks like me.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys look almost identical.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Dude, he hasn't looked like Brad.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he does look like no sense, No, yeah, I've
- 32:37Speaker 2: seen he looks just like Brad.
- 32:39Speaker 1: I've seen a meme that's like Brad Pitt mixed with
- 32:43Speaker 1: me makes his brother or something like that.
- 32:46Speaker 2: How is that not a handsome thing?
- 32:48Speaker 1: I know, I just I feel like I have one
- 32:51Speaker 1: of those faces people think I look like so many people.
- 32:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna say, he's been a part of my ever
- 32:55Speaker 1: since I got in, you know, became known. It's been
- 32:58Speaker 1: a thing. Like there was I don't know if it's
- 32:59Speaker 1: still up. There was like a blog Tumblr page that
- 33:02Speaker 1: was like men who look like Zach Braff dot com. Yeah,
- 33:06Speaker 1: because here's the thing.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Here's the thing. Dax Shepherd looks more like you than
- 33:11Speaker 2: you look like him. You know what I mean.
- 33:13Speaker 1: I thought you're gonna say, Dak Shepherd looks more like
- 33:16Speaker 1: me than I looked like me.
- 33:17Speaker 2: No, no, no, Dax Shepherd looks more like you than
- 33:20Speaker 2: you look like him. So like if you were to
- 33:22Speaker 2: take his face and put it on you, you would see
- 33:26Speaker 2: Zach Bratt, But if you took your Dax, she wouldn't
- 33:29Speaker 2: be like, Oh, that's that's you know what I mean.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Dax has become the most extreme and I actually see
- 33:33Speaker 1: the dakx thing. Obviously we look like we could be brothers.
- 33:36Speaker 1: But other than Dax, there's been so many people in
- 33:39Speaker 1: my life. I told you the story about Anne Hathaway's
- 33:42Speaker 1: old boyfriend, and and uh, obviously Ray Romano and and
- 33:47Speaker 1: uh and now Brad Pitt's brother and what are you
- 33:49Speaker 1: laughing about?
- 33:50Speaker 4: Joel say, it's hilarious.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Yes, it is. Apply look like Leon Trotsky, which is
- 33:57Speaker 1: hilarious to me. Somebody you don't you guys, You guys
- 34:00Speaker 1: are both on the You guys are both on the webaite.
- 34:02Speaker 1: I know Tribolta was one of them.
- 34:04Speaker 5: Yeah, Travolta from the seventies is on here. I what,
- 34:08Speaker 5: Oh my god, this is so funny.
- 34:11Speaker 1: People listening at home. You guys can play along at
- 34:14Speaker 1: home by going to men who look like Zach Brath
- 34:16Speaker 1: dot com. Then we'll probably shut them. Shut the tumblr
- 34:19Speaker 1: page down if you walk at the same time.
- 34:21Speaker 4: It's a blog spot page.
- 34:23Speaker 5: It'sft dot blogspot dot com. And there's a letter from
- 34:26Speaker 5: the editor which says, the editorial board of this website
- 34:30Speaker 5: doesn't always agree on who's braffy and.
- 34:32Speaker 3: Who's how big is the editorial board of that website.
- 34:39Speaker 1: They must have annual meetings to discuss if someone's brafian.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Oh my god, dude, you're a business man.
- 34:46Speaker 1: You're a business man. Well all right, he does a
- 34:51Speaker 1: big arrival at one o six.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Amazing, it's one of the best. Uh in Scrubs history.
- 34:58Speaker 2: In my opinion, it's just so many. Uh you know,
- 35:01Speaker 2: we all we all have that moment where we walk
- 35:04Speaker 2: through that hallway. I think his is up there with ours, you.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Know what I mean, like, yeah, no one beats our pimplok,
- 35:11Speaker 1: but he's up there.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it's up there though, you know what I mean,
- 35:14Speaker 2: especially everybody.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Loves but Ted's ban and oh that was great. That
- 35:18Speaker 1: was great. He sings with Ted's band briefly, and then
- 35:20Speaker 1: the janitor, who we've never seen really love anyone, just
- 35:24Speaker 1: says thank you for being you, and then he gives
- 35:27Speaker 1: him a big hug. Yeah, and then they hug yeah.
- 35:30Speaker 2: And then you get invited into the brain Trust because
- 35:33Speaker 2: Van Dyke's character bouchers for you what is his name, Towzy? Uh.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Yes, so the brain Trust. I don't think it's called
- 35:40Speaker 1: the brain Trust but yet. But this is the first
- 35:42Speaker 1: appearance of the brain Trust in an episode of Scrubs. Now,
- 35:46Speaker 1: that was Bobby our dolly grip.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Yeah, the late Robert Foster, his father.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Well, yeah, so Bobby Foster was a dollar group for
- 35:56Speaker 1: the length. And for those of you know, the dolly
- 35:58Speaker 1: is the thing that cameras on when it's gliding around
- 36:01Speaker 1: or moving up and down, and sometimes it's just rolling
- 36:05Speaker 1: on the floor. Sometimes it's on tracks. It has a
- 36:08Speaker 1: silent hydraulic lift in it so that the camera can
- 36:11Speaker 1: kind of move up and down without making any noise.
- 36:14Speaker 1: And it's a very very skilled position on the set
- 36:17Speaker 1: because you have to be able to hit lots of marks.
- 36:19Speaker 1: You have to be able to be moving it left
- 36:21Speaker 1: and right while it's going up and down at the
- 36:23Speaker 1: same time. It's a really important position and for the
- 36:27Speaker 1: length of the show he was our a camera dolly
- 36:30Speaker 1: grip and this was his cameo as a brain Trust member.
- 36:34Speaker 2: As a brain Trust member and his dad, late Great
- 36:37Speaker 2: Robert Froster.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Yeah, they go, so he summoned some of his dad's skills.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Now we're jumping ahead, but there's a really funny moment
- 36:44Speaker 1: in twelve twenty four when Neil was just riffing. It
- 36:48Speaker 1: was really funny and you can see crazy eyes Margo,
- 36:53Speaker 1: who I think he came up with that Neil, And
- 36:55Speaker 1: then he said, Troy's gonna stop spitting in your food.
- 36:57Speaker 1: That's the favor that Troy's going to do for me.
- 37:01Speaker 1: And then if you look at the end, you guys,
- 37:04Speaker 1: if we go back and link the episode. Kneel it
- 37:06Speaker 1: like thirteen ten, starts just laughing because he's praying. I
- 37:11Speaker 1: think he made all this up, the prayer and the
- 37:13Speaker 1: praying and everything. He's like, Lord, please help Margo to find.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Your way home away tonight.
- 37:19Speaker 1: And it looks like he looks like he tries to
- 37:21Speaker 1: play it off, like he's like getting like gonna cry. Yeah,
- 37:25Speaker 1: but he's fucking about to laugh. And that was rare
- 37:28Speaker 1: for Neil that he would ever break character.
- 37:32Speaker 2: That was very funny. I laughed very hard at that.
- 37:36Speaker 2: I always thought that this was the first episode where
- 37:38Speaker 2: you said chocolate bear and it wasn't. I was proven
- 37:41Speaker 2: wrong obviously. Yeah, but this is the second time you said.
- 37:43Speaker 1: It only second. I'm wondering if I just came in
- 37:47Speaker 1: in the first episode, the last episode and did it
- 37:49Speaker 1: and we all thought it was so funny that we're
- 37:51Speaker 1: just like, oh, that's gonna be a thing.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Now, let's do it again, right, A lot of.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Todd power walking through the hospital. He loves it. Now.
- 38:03Speaker 1: That's had me.
- 38:04Speaker 2: You didn't laugh at that.
- 38:06Speaker 1: I did. I just didn't understand how So I've paid Todd,
- 38:09Speaker 1: or I've offered Todd money to go do the I
- 38:11Speaker 1: bet you that if you such and such and such,
- 38:14Speaker 1: and you know, if Karl doesn't say yes, then I'll
- 38:17Speaker 1: power walk naked through this hospital singing Janice Joplin. She
- 38:20Speaker 1: obviously hasn't said yes yet. And then so I offer
- 38:23Speaker 1: Todd money to do it. He doesn't want the money,
- 38:25Speaker 1: He just loves doing it.
- 38:26Speaker 2: His line is, no, I don't need the money that
- 38:29Speaker 2: was for me.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going back out there, and.
- 38:32Speaker 2: He goes, I'm going back. Hey, I'm going back out.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Now. You later say that you recognize me, not from
- 38:40Speaker 1: Todd having a ripped body that's nothing like JD's. No,
- 38:43Speaker 1: I just know what you're noticing. My puffin stuff is
- 38:46Speaker 1: what you call it?
- 38:47Speaker 2: Right? Yeah?
- 38:48Speaker 1: And then I say, wait, what did I say to that?
- 38:52Speaker 1: I wrote it down? Oh you go A three twenty four?
- 38:56Speaker 1: You go, I can pick your puffin stuff out of
- 38:57Speaker 1: a lineup, and I go, it's it changed since you
- 39:01Speaker 1: saw it? Got it, got a haircut, which means that
- 39:05Speaker 1: I've done some manscaping. But I just don't understand why
- 39:10Speaker 1: you do you manscape? Do you do you maintain your
- 39:13Speaker 1: your situation?
- 39:14Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 39:14Speaker 2: You know, nobody likes it. I mean maybe some people
- 39:17Speaker 2: do I could be wrong. Hold on, I don't want
- 39:19Speaker 2: to step over the line and say that you know what.
- 39:21Speaker 1: We should want. You know, we just go to break.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Let's just go to break.
- 39:25Speaker 1: When we come back, we're going to talking about manscaping.
- 39:33Speaker 1: All right, let's get back to manscaping. Donald, do you manscape?
- 39:37Speaker 1: I think personally it's important to cut the hedges back
- 39:41Speaker 1: every now and then. If you know what I'm.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Saying, yeah, you know, it makes things look grander.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. That's true. It also makes your house
- 39:49Speaker 1: look larger if you cut down your hedge.
- 39:52Speaker 2: You know what I mean, your power source. Yeah, the
- 39:54Speaker 2: power source. Uh. I will say this, Yes, I do.
- 40:01Speaker 2: At one point I didn't because uh I didn't know. Yeah,
- 40:08Speaker 2: and you told you Casey, No, I was out with
- 40:11Speaker 2: you and Jessica Mercado, remember Jessica Mercardo.
- 40:15Speaker 1: To go to your friend, Yeah, your friend from from
- 40:17Speaker 1: the old.
- 40:18Speaker 2: Yeah. I've known her since I was three years old.
- 40:20Speaker 2: And we were at Joseph's one night and somehow nanscape. Yeah,
- 40:24Speaker 2: and somehow manscaping came up and I was and I
- 40:27Speaker 2: said no, and I showed you guys my uh Harry bush.
- 40:33Speaker 1: You took out your bush at the nightclub.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Well, I just pulled my pants down a little bit,
- 40:38Speaker 2: and you guys were all like and I remember being
- 40:43Speaker 2: like ill. I was like, let me see yours, and
- 40:47Speaker 2: none of you guys would show me yours.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Well, I'm not the person that's going to do that
- 40:52Speaker 1: at a nightclub. But I had been drinking.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Okay, Well I had been drinking. We all had been drinking,
- 40:56Speaker 2: so at this point, inhibitions were out the window.
- 41:00Speaker 1: So well, I think it's important for men out there
- 41:03Speaker 1: to be open to to bringing it back, to bring
- 41:07Speaker 1: it in the hedges a little bit.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Shave that woman or bunk man is for real. When
- 41:11Speaker 2: you got hair down there, that bunk is for real.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Man. Listen, you're woman or man, whoever you're, whoever you're with.
- 41:17Speaker 1: They might not have the courage to tell you, but
- 41:21Speaker 1: you know, ladies, gentlemen. Is another edition of the more
- 41:24Speaker 1: you know, dan prepare, the more you know music. If
- 41:27Speaker 1: your bush is too big, trim it back.
- 41:31Speaker 2: There are some people that that don't mind big bush.
- 41:34Speaker 1: I'm not talking about women, Okay, I wouldn't have the
- 41:36Speaker 1: audacity to talk about that. I'm saying I think there
- 41:38Speaker 1: are some men out there that that just let it
- 41:41Speaker 1: all go crazy, and I think that they need us
- 41:44Speaker 1: to tell them to rein it in.
- 41:47Speaker 2: But how do you rein it in? Do you take
- 41:48Speaker 2: scissors to it?
- 41:49Speaker 1: I take one of those, you know, the clippers. Would
- 41:52Speaker 1: it have the spacer thing on it so you can
- 41:55Speaker 1: choose how long you want your.
- 41:57Speaker 2: Your Here's another question. Is it just a of the
- 42:00Speaker 2: junk or do you get balls? And I do balls?
- 42:04Speaker 1: Shaft and get in between that?
- 42:06Speaker 2: Do you get in between? Do you get the tank area?
- 42:07Speaker 2: Do you shave?
- 42:08Speaker 1: Yeah? I do taint. I do taint sometimes, Joel is,
- 42:16Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm trying to get a public service announcement.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Two men out there?
- 42:19Speaker 2: Do you do one?
- 42:21Speaker 1: Yeah? I do the whole area. I do with the
- 42:22Speaker 1: whole region because.
- 42:23Speaker 2: No one would be you know, it would be great
- 42:25Speaker 2: is if I wasn't scared to wax, that would be amazing.
- 42:29Speaker 2: But like like most people, I can't shave with a
- 42:32Speaker 2: straight razor because I get I have sensitive skin and
- 42:35Speaker 2: I get razor bumps and I'm afraid that that would
- 42:37Speaker 2: happen down there. And that's the last place where I
- 42:40Speaker 2: want to ingrown hair is like in my butthole. You
- 42:44Speaker 2: know what I mean?
- 42:44Speaker 1: You know you can go have your anus and inside
- 42:47Speaker 1: your cheeks waxed if you want, especially since we live
- 42:49Speaker 1: near West Hollywood, where I'm sure there's a place on
- 42:51Speaker 1: every corner.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm just saying that would be Man, why
- 42:54Speaker 2: are you.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Pluting your head? You do that? I'm saying, that's a
- 42:56Speaker 1: good idea.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Okay, do you wax your asshole?
- 42:59Speaker 5: That?
- 43:00Speaker 2: Dan?
- 43:01Speaker 1: Dan? Dan, Dan Dan play the More you know music again,
- 43:05Speaker 1: Dan wax's asshole.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Okay, So if we're talking about waxing, let's get into bleaching.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Would you bleach your asshole?
- 43:15Speaker 1: Why would I bleach my asshole? That's like, that's for
- 43:17Speaker 1: people that want a certain coloring to their asshole. Mine's
- 43:20Speaker 1: mine's fine. I'll take whatever God gave me on that.
- 43:23Speaker 1: I'm just saying that, Like, you know, when you get
- 43:25Speaker 1: to be a hairy person, you know you gotta you
- 43:29Speaker 1: can't let your your lawn take over the neighbor's yard.
- 43:37Speaker 2: And the more you know right there, that's the more
- 43:40Speaker 2: you know right there, Dan, that was the more you
- 43:42Speaker 2: know of break right there? Anyway, And also, Dan, waxhole.
- 43:47Speaker 1: We should try it though, Donald, you think when when
- 43:49Speaker 1: COVID's over, do you want to go get our Buttholes
- 43:51Speaker 1: waxed with me.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Absolutely, we'll do it, and we'll do it online.
- 43:54Speaker 1: We'll do it on a we'll record it, we'll record
- 43:56Speaker 1: the audience, the scream that come from out That would
- 44:01Speaker 1: be great content. By the way, if when the world reopens,
- 44:04Speaker 1: if you and I do go out and go out
- 44:06Speaker 1: on the street for some of this, like on today's episode. Yeah,
- 44:09Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about the show, but we also have
- 44:11Speaker 1: a pre taped segment where Donald and I went and
- 44:13Speaker 1: had our anuses.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Wax, I love it, damn COVID ruining all that, all
- 44:21Speaker 2: the fun.
- 44:21Speaker 1: I'll be there. Daniel will take us to his guy.
- 44:24Speaker 1: All right, how about it? When Kelso goes to me
- 44:30Speaker 1: at five something, he goes, uh, he goes, I go,
- 44:34Speaker 1: come on, sir, tell me a story from the oldiges.
- 44:36Speaker 1: He goes, well back in sixty eight, I don't like you.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah moment. Yeah, I laughed at that. I have
- 44:44Speaker 2: that real fun so yeah, fuck once again, Sarah Chuck
- 44:50Speaker 2: very funny in this episode. Yeah, has some great moments
- 44:53Speaker 2: with that's a good that's a that's another good question
- 44:56Speaker 2: for everyone out there. You know, I personally wanted to
- 44:59Speaker 2: know that sex of my baby when they were before
- 45:02Speaker 2: they were born, just so we could give them all
- 45:06Speaker 2: ninety two of them, just so we could get the
- 45:10Speaker 2: nursery right and the clothes right, so that we wouldn't
- 45:14Speaker 2: have to take things back, and the colors were all
- 45:17Speaker 2: you know. Uh. But there are a lot of people
- 45:19Speaker 2: out there that don't that they'd want to be surprised.
- 45:23Speaker 2: How do you feel about that?
- 45:25Speaker 1: That do you want to be surprised? I think it
- 45:28Speaker 1: would be crazy to not know. I think when someone knows,
- 45:31Speaker 1: I want to know. I understand. I understand some people
- 45:34Speaker 1: say that like, wells.
- 45:35Speaker 2: With you, here we go.
- 45:38Speaker 4: That finish your thought.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Well, I just think that if the doctor's sitting there
- 45:43Speaker 1: of three feet away from me and she or he
- 45:46Speaker 1: or she knows, I would want to know. I don't,
- 45:48Speaker 1: but I understand the people saying, look, there's not that
- 45:51Speaker 1: many life changing surprises that will blow your mind like
- 45:54Speaker 1: this one, go and enjoy it. I don't know. I
- 45:58Speaker 1: feel like I just want to know.
- 46:00Speaker 8: No.
- 46:00Speaker 5: I first of all, like the gender to be is
- 46:04Speaker 5: like the last thing is the baby here is good?
- 46:06Speaker 2: Like let's go whatever is most important obviously.
- 46:09Speaker 4: Yeah, but but beyond that, like I just think.
- 46:12Speaker 5: Yeah, just what an amazing surprise, like, oh my god,
- 46:17Speaker 5: it's a baby. I just think it would just be crazy,
- 46:19Speaker 5: Like I don't know how, I don't know. I don't
- 46:20Speaker 5: think i'd want to know. I both me and my
- 46:22Speaker 5: brother were a surprise for my parents, and I think,
- 46:24Speaker 5: should I choose to have children, that is definitely the
- 46:26Speaker 5: path I would go because it's just got to be
- 46:27Speaker 5: such a fun day.
- 46:29Speaker 1: What about you, Dan, h Do I want to know
- 46:31Speaker 1: the gender of the child before it's born. Yeah, I
- 46:35Speaker 1: don't know if I have an opinion on that, to
- 46:36Speaker 1: be honest.
- 46:37Speaker 2: With you, because there's so many like, there's so many like, uh,
- 46:40Speaker 2: you know, we have all of these ginger reveal parties
- 46:43Speaker 2: and stuff like that where the parents learn.
- 46:45Speaker 1: I don't want to do that. I mean, I'll say this,
- 46:46Speaker 1: you can miss me with that, but.
- 46:48Speaker 2: I can certainly, Yeah, I could.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Certainly. I'd be open to the conversation. I would definitely
- 46:52Speaker 3: want to talk to my partner about it, and I
- 46:54Speaker 3: would probably let her lead the way.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Okay, Well that's a question.
- 46:56Speaker 1: The gender reveal party thing, because I've never been to
- 46:58Speaker 1: one and it all sounds horrible to me.
- 47:00Speaker 2: I think that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of
- 47:01Speaker 2: my parents don't know. Yeah, it's the dumbest thing ever.
- 47:05Speaker 2: It's like everybody else pretty much knows what it's gonna be.
- 47:09Speaker 2: The baker who baked the cake, or the person who
- 47:12Speaker 2: put the colors in the balloon that you're about to pop,
- 47:15Speaker 2: you know what I mean, knows before you know, and
- 47:18Speaker 2: that kind of feels a little weird, you know what
- 47:19Speaker 2: I mean. If the doctor knows and then asks you
- 47:23Speaker 2: do you want to know and you choose to find out,
- 47:26Speaker 2: I think that's where it should be, and then it's
- 47:28Speaker 2: up to you to you know what I mean. But
- 47:29Speaker 2: if if the dude that made a cake that you
- 47:32Speaker 2: never met before, you know what I mean, It.
- 47:35Speaker 1: Wasn't like one of the biggest milabu fires ever started
- 47:37Speaker 1: by a gender reveal party.

- 48:02Speaker 1: they've got a fake belly on. But Christa here you're

- 52:05Speaker 5: my favorite childhood game. Uh so yeah, shout out to
- 52:07Speaker 5: the video game people. If you guys want to say the.
- 52:09Speaker 1: Worst, you never know, you never know what.
- 52:14Speaker 2: You know what? You know what? I mentioned a golf
- 52:16Speaker 2: simulator in one of the podcasts. Nobody reached out to
- 52:20Speaker 2: me from the golf simulator industry?
- 52:22Speaker 1: Is that why you mentioned your golf simulator hoping someone
- 52:24Speaker 1: would send you one.
- 52:25Speaker 2: No, I mentioned it because I truly want a golf simulator.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Well guess what you're getting for hanakkah.
- 52:33Speaker 2: Oh Hankakah's coming up, Zach, don't you freaking start this.
- 52:36Speaker 1: I will get you one.
- 52:37Speaker 2: Don't you start to make me believe you And.
- 52:39Speaker 1: You're gonna treat it like the breaking scooter I brought you,
- 52:42Speaker 1: Sasha Gray, Remember how you treated the scooter.
- 52:44Speaker 2: I treated it like the Wait, there was a joke.
- 52:48Speaker 2: I'm not going to go there. Anyway, let's get back
- 52:50Speaker 2: to the episode.
- 52:50Speaker 1: Le's get back to the show. I wanted to say
- 52:52Speaker 1: the next thing. I laughed, Oh, I want to explain
- 52:54Speaker 1: that a great cowboy switch. We've mentioned this a few
- 52:56Speaker 1: times to you guys on the show, when the stuntman
- 52:58Speaker 1: does something and then without cutting, the real actor pops
- 53:02Speaker 1: up out of frame as though they did it. So
- 53:03Speaker 1: when JD takes the ladder away and walks in and
- 53:06Speaker 1: then and it looks like the janitor falls to the
- 53:09Speaker 1: ground and then Neil pops up. So that was a
- 53:10Speaker 1: stuntman who did a big fall from the roof, and
- 53:13Speaker 1: then Neil was lying in wait or I guess he
- 53:15Speaker 1: probably had to crawl in because I walked through. But
- 53:17Speaker 1: I thought that was funny, very funny. He's like, why
- 53:20Speaker 1: do you keep doing this to me? But also knowing
- 53:25Speaker 1: that JD there's a ladder that's probably the janitors. Why
- 53:28Speaker 1: the hell is JD moving the ladder? Just leave the ladder, dude,
- 53:31Speaker 1: you're asking for trouble.
- 53:33Speaker 2: I think everybody in the in the who was watching
- 53:36Speaker 2: the show when he moved the ladder new Okay, JD's
- 53:38Speaker 2: gonna be get in trouble.
- 53:39Speaker 1: For this one right now exactly. It's like watching Wiley
- 53:42Speaker 1: Coyote receive the package from Acme. You know it's gonna
- 53:46Speaker 1: get And.
- 53:46Speaker 2: If it were in a black movie theater, he the
- 53:49Speaker 2: audience would be like, don't you open that package?
- 53:54Speaker 1: I laughed when I go, sir, can I call you
- 53:56Speaker 1: Townsy and he goes no, Dick Vantig goes no, and
- 53:59Speaker 1: then the voice of I go, I was having a
- 54:01Speaker 1: great time working with Townsy. I beard Fasse is the
- 54:09Speaker 1: fucking patient? Makes no sense?
- 54:11Speaker 2: Was he?
- 54:12Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 54:12Speaker 2: The didn't pay attention to that.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Oh dude, And I thought I noticed it, and then
- 54:18Speaker 1: I'm on scrubs Wiki they mentioned it. So beard Fasse
- 54:22Speaker 1: the famous background doctor. I guess someone didn't show up
- 54:27Speaker 1: today to be a sick patient in bed and beard
- 54:30Speaker 1: Fasse got the job.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Amazing.
- 54:33Speaker 1: He's the one that I cut open his carotid artery
- 54:35Speaker 1: and the blood spurs that's Fasse. That's beard Fasse's blood. Oh.
- 54:40Speaker 2: I love that we call him beard Fasse. When it's
- 54:42Speaker 2: a beard face.
- 54:44Speaker 1: He says, it's beard Fasse. Damn it.
- 54:46Speaker 2: No, but we called him beard face.
- 54:49Speaker 1: Yeah, doctor beard face, doctor beard face. Now do you
- 54:53Speaker 1: think in the world of Scrubs show that doctor Beard
- 54:56Speaker 1: Face just got sick or is it just meant to
- 54:59Speaker 1: be like a different guy.
- 55:00Speaker 2: Let's just say he got sick. That's good. That's a
- 55:02Speaker 2: good question to ask Bill Lawrence.
- 55:04Speaker 1: But Bill doesn't want to be asked those anymore, right.
- 55:06Speaker 2: He says, Well, but he's not calling in enough.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I don't know how we're gonna you know, everything Bill
- 55:11Speaker 1: said was so nice on paper, but I don't know
- 55:13Speaker 1: how it's going to get.
- 55:13Speaker 5: Executed coordinated with him. I have to reach out in advance,
- 55:18Speaker 5: let him know what shows we're recording. He has to
- 55:20Speaker 5: come up with the question so.
- 55:23Speaker 4: We can launch it to you. I'm gonna try, damn it.
- 55:25Speaker 4: I'm good. We're gonna make it work.
- 55:27Speaker 2: Well.
- 55:27Speaker 1: The good news is, Joelle, the good news is with Bill,
- 55:29Speaker 1: he really likes you, and I think if you use
- 55:31Speaker 1: your charms on him and or make sure you're seeing
- 55:36Speaker 1: his assistant, you might be able to get it done.
- 55:38Speaker 1: But it's gonna be You're gonna have to put a
- 55:40Speaker 1: little effort into it because I don't. He's definitely not
- 55:42Speaker 1: gonna go ooh, I'm gonna go take care of that.
- 55:46Speaker 4: I'll work on it. I'll work on it.
- 55:48Speaker 5: Me and his assistant are like this where you're really
- 55:49Speaker 5: getting to know each.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Other good the fund. The sweet thing about it is
- 55:54Speaker 1: that Bill was saying he wanted to be a more
- 55:56Speaker 1: active part of it other than just answering questions, and
- 55:58Speaker 1: everybody loves that. On the show.
- 56:01Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, you guys, you're getting something that not
- 56:04Speaker 2: a lot of podcasts can deliver, you know what I mean.
- 56:07Speaker 2: I don't know that. What is that they're getting The
- 56:09Speaker 2: creator of Scrubs, the show that we talk about, right,
- 56:15Speaker 2: he's so invested in our little podcast, And that's so awesome, man.
- 56:20Speaker 2: It's that's a that's a perk to you know that
- 56:23Speaker 2: you get when you listen to fake doctors and real friends.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Yes, again, you're selling to the audience who's already listening,
- 56:29Speaker 1: but I love it.
- 56:30Speaker 2: Faked doctor's real friends.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Rowdy first time in the hospital. D L Huy decides
- 56:39Speaker 1: to bring Rowdy to the hospital. I'm not sure why.
- 56:42Speaker 2: Well, he didn't want to leave it and he couldn't
- 56:44Speaker 2: leave it in the cab.
- 56:46Speaker 1: And then d L hwy picks up a woman at
- 56:49Speaker 1: the first of all, I don't understand this, You guys
- 56:51Speaker 1: get drunk thing at all?
- 56:52Speaker 2: Okay, So why do you get drunk?
- 56:55Speaker 1: His wife hat? Then you want right? Then you want
- 56:58Speaker 1: cowboy western music?
- 57:00Speaker 2: Yeah, because when you get drunk, who doesn't want to
- 57:03Speaker 2: listen to country music? You ever heard of Kane Brown?
- 57:07Speaker 2: You ever heard of Kim Brown? No, Came Brown is fired, dude,
- 57:11Speaker 2: and everybody out there who has ever listened to Came
- 57:13Speaker 2: Brown knows he's fire. This dude is he is the
- 57:18Speaker 2: new wave if you ask me of country music, So.
- 57:22Speaker 1: You put on country music. I didn't know that about you.
- 57:24Speaker 2: I listened to Kane Brown. I listened to old school.
- 57:29Speaker 2: What's the dude married to Faith Hill? What's his name?
- 57:31Speaker 4: Garth?
- 57:32Speaker 8: Is that right?
- 57:33Speaker 2: No? I listened to Garth Brooks sometimes, but Came Brown.
- 57:36Speaker 2: What's his name?
- 57:37Speaker 1: Uh?
- 57:39Speaker 2: Tim McGraw, Tim McGraw, I listened to Tim McGraw.
- 57:43Speaker 1: You know Casey's doing I'm assuming.
- 57:45Speaker 2: Yeah. You know she's opened me up to Waite. You
- 57:48Speaker 2: know how you opened my mind to folk h slash,
- 57:54Speaker 2: singer songwriter, singer songwriter music. She's opened my mind to
- 57:57Speaker 2: like all music. Casey was like talked about earlier she
- 58:01Speaker 2: was in the music industry, and so because of that
- 58:04Speaker 2: her catalog when I listened to when We're in the
- 58:06Speaker 2: car and she's just putting on random songs. Her catalog is, uh,
- 58:12Speaker 2: it's big, And so I listened. I've had the opportunity
- 58:15Speaker 2: to hear new music and when I was away and
- 58:21Speaker 2: it sounds like I went to jail or something like that.
- 58:23Speaker 2: When I was upstate. No, when I was doing the
- 58:28Speaker 2: television show in Jersey, I somehow stumbled onto Caane Brown
- 58:33Speaker 2: and he and I mean his music is to me,
- 58:36Speaker 2: it's banging.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Okay, got it? What's your favorite? Do you have a
- 58:41Speaker 1: favorite country yardst other than came Brown? Is there someone?
- 58:43Speaker 2: Oh?
- 58:44Speaker 1: Actually, let me ask this. Who's Casey's favorite country yardist?
- 58:47Speaker 2: Oh that's a good question. I don't know.
- 58:49Speaker 1: She listened so much segment called asked Casey.
- 58:53Speaker 2: She ain't here right now, so I can't ask her.
- 58:56Speaker 2: She stepped out.
- 58:58Speaker 1: You let her out of the house again.
- 59:00Speaker 2: She gets out every now and then, you know, I
- 59:03Speaker 2: let her see some sunlight. I let her see some
- 59:05Speaker 2: sunlight every now and then. I think it's good for
- 59:08Speaker 2: her skin. I think it's good for you know, her health,
- 59:12Speaker 2: her mental health.
- 59:13Speaker 1: So so tell me about this party. I'm just trying
- 59:15Speaker 1: to understand the party of the bar. You steal. Okay,
- 59:17Speaker 1: so woman is very The woman is very nice. She
- 59:19Speaker 1: doesn't you rip a hat off a woman's head, and
- 59:21Speaker 1: she isn't like, what the fuck are you doing? She's
- 59:24Speaker 1: like laughing along with you, which I thought was nice
- 59:26Speaker 1: of her.
- 59:26Speaker 2: And then you Yeah, the point of the party is that,
- 59:31Speaker 2: you know, Turk, he is thinking about himself the whole
- 59:35Speaker 2: time that his brother's there. He even invites his brother
- 59:38Speaker 2: to come visit him to help him close with Carla,
- 59:41Speaker 2: so Carla can see. You know, the Turks were such
- 59:44Speaker 2: good husbands, you know what I mean. Not only are
- 59:47Speaker 2: we good husbands, we're good family men. So you don't
- 59:49Speaker 2: have anything to worry about. You should marry me because
- 59:52Speaker 2: our life can be like my brother and his wife.
- 59:55Speaker 2: But it turns out my brother's wife has left him,
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: and instead of seeing the pain that my brother is
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: in that Turk's brother is in, Turku is thinking only
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: about himself. And so the party at the end is
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: Turk realizing, you know what, I need to put the
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: whole me wanting to wanting Carla to answer my engagement
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: question on hold for a bit, and I need to
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: cater to my brother's feelings because one I love him two. Uh,
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: you know, if I'm if anything, he needs to pick
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: me up right now. And so that's what the whole
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: party thing is about. Granted it's definitely you know, out
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: of out of place. The things that Turk does are
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: definitely like, what the fuck it was weird? This makes it?
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: Then?
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: Why is why does Carla get so mad when you
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: come home? And I mean, you guys bring home a girl,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: but that girl was with.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: No, it's Carla. The reason why we find out in
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: this episode, the reason why Carl is hesitant to marry
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: to say yes to Turk's engagement proposal is because she
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: feels like he's immature and he'll never necessarily grow up. Like,
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: you know, she got pissed off. It's one of the
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: funnier lines in the show. She got she got a
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: little not pissed off, but it struck her wrong. When
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: Turk was couldn't stop laughing at the fact that he
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: had to go operate on mister Weenie. A patient's name
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: was mister Weenie and Turk Wiener, yeah, whatever it is.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: And Turk thinks it's so right exactly, and turn thinks
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: it's so funny, and she's like, he needs to grow up.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: He needs to mature, and him bringing a girl home
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: drunk on his brother's shoulders doesn't necessarily so imature.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: I see by the way the girls holding Rowdy. What's
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: the plan for the girl? Dlhwy's gonna hook up with
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: the girl at the house? Is that the plan? Well?
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: No, the obviously they bought the girl home thinking, uh,
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: you know, I don't think they thought anything would happen.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: Things like that sometimes happen when you're drunk and stuff
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: like that. Somebody needs to carry Rowdy because I gotta
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: carry my brother. So can you bring up?
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: Oh? I see she But don't you think that d. L.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Hewy's character was gonna try and hung up with her.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Oh? Sure, I'm sure he was eventually, And.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: He's supposed to be like a guy who's going through
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: a divorce, so he's gonna.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Pe Sure, maybe that was gonna happen. But for the
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: most part, she was there to help them bring Rowdy upstairs.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: She was a friend that they met at the bar,
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: or a girl that they met at the bar. Nothing
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: necessarily is gonna happen. But look, my brother's so drunk.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: I can't carry Rowdy and my brother up the steps.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: Can you help, right, we have a caller.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Yeah, let's go to the colleg Should you need a commercial first, youell,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: or go right to the caller commercial.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: Please, we'll go right.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: We'll be right back with a fan listener calling in
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: to fake doctors, real friends.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: And we're bad and we're bind. Let's let the caller in,
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: ladies and gentlemen give it.
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: Up for Richard.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: Hey, buddy, Hi, Richard, how are you very well?
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: Look at all of you? Thank you very much.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: Look at you, you handsome devil.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I like your accent. You know, we're very popular in
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: the United Kingdom, Donald, Oh.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: You are are we? Yeah? Oh?
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Yeah? Oh huge?
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: Is that where you're where you are right now, Richard?
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: In the UK?
- 1:03:35Speaker 6: Yeah? I am yeah, I'm just outside of Manchester United.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: Yes? Is that the team well played?
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: Donald?
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Ys that.
- 1:03:46Speaker 6: It was the choice of two and you picked the
- 1:03:48Speaker 6: right one.
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: But if I would have said Chelsea, if I would
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: have said Chelsea, you would have hated me. Huh a
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: little bit?
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Donald, you don't follow.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: When I was doing Kickout, when I was doing kick
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: Ass too, I learned a little bit about rivalry that
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: goes on in uh football over there?
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: All right, Richard? Thanks for coming on the show, Joelle.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Did you say that there was some story about Richard
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: that we needed to know?
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: Oh?
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: Yeah, So Richard was going to propose to his partner
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: on the show. He had also off, he's gonna go
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: to a park. He's like signed out. He's been a
- 1:04:25Speaker 5: surprise you guys, the whole thing. H We had to
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: push back a little bit. Richard was like, cool, I
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: just have to actually pop the question. So I'm gonna
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: go do that. And I was like, that's totally fine.
- 1:04:36Speaker 5: Come tell us about like how magical and romantic it was,
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: and we'll also surprise your partner still with the gift
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: of Sack and Donald.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Yes, what a gift. What a gift.
- 1:04:44Speaker 6: She still doesn't know. So she's workings exciting, Yeah, she's
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: working currently. We both work from home.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: I have asked.
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: I've asked already. Okay, well I did. I have kind
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: of thought about it, since she never actually said yes.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: We can't.
- 1:05:02Speaker 6: It's just kissed put the ring on, and it was okay, yep,
- 1:05:05Speaker 6: that's it.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: If she put the ring on, it on the show. Listen.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: If she put the ring on, that's a yes. I'm sorry.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: So, how are Richard, how are we getting her on
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: the zoom call right now?
- 1:05:17Speaker 6: She's just working. I'm going to go and grab her.
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: She doesn't know that she's coming on, and I've told
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: her what are you going to tell? I told her
- 1:05:23Speaker 6: to expect a surprise, that she needs to take a break.
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: So I'm going to go and grab her now. I
- 1:05:27Speaker 6: will bring you with me.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: I don't know if I look good. This is an
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: important I need more light on me. This is a
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: big deal. Did you guys see me.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: Barely? Dude? You're not you like my mustache? It looks good.
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: And so there's some people that want to say congratulations,
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: do you hey?
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Grad gratulations? Did she hear us? Richard?
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: I think I did good?
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: Can you hear us?
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: She can hear you?
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: Can you hear her?
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: No? I just want to be clear you did say yes? Right?
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: Oh, just making sure because Richard wasn't sure. You know,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: he knew you put the ring on, but he didn't
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: know that you actually said yes. He's a bit in shock.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: I think, Donald, do you.
- 1:06:20Speaker 9: Want to take some time going and we'll look love
- 1:06:22Speaker 9: a bit of chat. Okay, don't work, you're busy.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: Oh, it's so exciting to see us. I I I understand.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: I'll never get over that reaction. That was an amazing reaction.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: It was like one of those things. She was like,
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: what the heck is it? What the.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: I think?
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: I think it took her a second because of the bid.
- 1:06:51Speaker 6: Donald probably think.
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: It's kind of like we're both wearing disguises.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: We don't look that same anymore.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: I've been working hard on this guy.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Dude, this is quiet. This was all quarantine.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Yeah, but I think it's good without your patchy receiving
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: hairline hair.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: To be honest, you can eat a dick. The thing is,
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: you did have a question for us.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: Wait before you asked, Richard the question, I want to clarify.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: I think that the hair wasn't as glorious as the beard.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: And never mind, here she is.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: So's your face, Richard, Richard, Richard?
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: What is your fiance's name? Again?
- 1:07:32Speaker 6: Louise?
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Louise.
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, please give it up for Richard and Louis.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Okay, all right, all right, all right, how are you guys? Congratulations?
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: How exciting? How did you do it? Richard? How did
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: you what's the romantic way that you did it.
- 1:07:53Speaker 6: And so we traveled on Thursday, about an hour north
- 1:07:58Speaker 6: of where we are currently, up to the coast. We
- 1:08:02Speaker 6: would really luck ei the weather was perfect, so we
- 1:08:04Speaker 6: got a really nice sunset. We were set up on
- 1:08:06Speaker 6: a cliff top, this private little area, so we had
- 1:08:09Speaker 6: a bit of a picnic, and I knew I was
- 1:08:14Speaker 6: going to be doing it obviously. I thought I was
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: going to be doing it on the show with you guys,
- 1:08:18Speaker 6: which actually worked out for the best because it turned
- 1:08:20Speaker 6: out the signal there wasn't great, so it probably wouldn't
- 1:08:22Speaker 6: have worked in anyway. But either way, I knew that
- 1:08:26Speaker 6: I was going to do it at a particular time
- 1:08:28Speaker 6: because of, you know, potentially coming on the show. So
- 1:08:31Speaker 6: we were sitting there having a picnic, nice romantic time,
- 1:08:35Speaker 6: just the two of us, and then literally about five
- 1:08:37Speaker 6: minutes before I was ready to do it, a load
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: of other people turned up to come and check out
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: the sunset and talking about their normal, you know, whatever
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: problems they were having with their dogs or something that day,
- 1:08:49Speaker 6: and I was just sitting there like, oh, please leave.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: Were you afraid to do it in front of them?
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: It wasn't that moment, wouldn't be intimate with just the
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: two of you.
- 1:09:00Speaker 6: Yeah, it was because literally we'd been sat there and
- 1:09:02Speaker 6: it had just been the two of us for like
- 1:09:04Speaker 6: a good hour and a half two hours, So it
- 1:09:07Speaker 6: was typical that literally as I was about to do it,
- 1:09:10Speaker 6: a load of other people turned up, so.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: They kind of you were up. Let me. I just
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: want to be clear on all of this. You were
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: up on the cliff for two hours just hanging out.
- 1:09:19Speaker 6: Yeah, we were having a picnic.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: Yeah. Now do you do like this often?
- 1:09:25Speaker 6: Very rarely?
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: So I have to ask her. I have to ask
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: her force were you a little suspicious at this point?
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: Oh bit?
- 1:09:34Speaker 8: Because like a week before, it's like, bantomly it's like
- 1:09:37Speaker 8: you're book first, y'all.
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: For work, don't you, don't you?
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: And I was like, okay, sure, why not?
- 1:09:44Speaker 6: So a little bit when it when it was like
- 1:09:46Speaker 6: how romantic it was, And then the part of me
- 1:09:48Speaker 6: was like, if he doesn't do it now, I will
- 1:09:51Speaker 6: remind him of this moment for the rest of our lives.
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: Yeah, because like, what the hell are you doing on
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: a cliff for two hours? Dude? Yeah, exactly.
- 1:10:01Speaker 7: It was.
- 1:10:02Speaker 6: It was a bit of a one off for me,
- 1:10:04Speaker 6: but obviously, with with everything that's going on and the lockdowns.
- 1:10:08Speaker 6: We've kind of just been stuck in the house the
- 1:10:10Speaker 6: last a few months, as is everyone right, So I thought,
- 1:10:13Speaker 6: even if yeah, even even if I bottle it and
- 1:10:16Speaker 6: don't go ahead with it, it's still gonna be like
- 1:10:19Speaker 6: a nice date night. Well we'll get out. And literally
- 1:10:23Speaker 6: we had an hour's drive up there, and all the
- 1:10:24Speaker 6: way up the two of us were sitting in the
- 1:10:26Speaker 6: car singing, We're gonna.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: Date now, right, that's sweet, that's so sweet in your mind?
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: Would you?
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: Did you know she was going to say yes?
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:10:38Speaker 6: I think there was a little bit of nervousness as
- 1:10:41Speaker 6: it got closer to the time. I thought, what if
- 1:10:43Speaker 6: she doesn't like what? I don't know what I'm I
- 1:10:45Speaker 6: haven't considered what I will too if she says no.
- 1:10:50Speaker 6: But no, I think it's been We've been together four
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: and a half years now, so it's been a long
- 1:10:56Speaker 6: time coming. To be honest, it's I probably should have
- 1:10:59Speaker 6: done it sooner. We were supposed to do it earlier
- 1:11:01Speaker 6: this year. I say we, I was supposed to do it.
- 1:11:05Speaker 6: We were going we had a holiday booked to go
- 1:11:07Speaker 6: to Amsterdam and one of Louise's friends, who's a photographer,
- 1:11:11Speaker 6: lives over there, so I was going to get her
- 1:11:13Speaker 6: to take the picture, and literally a week before we
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: were due to leave, that's when the lockdown kicked in
- 1:11:19Speaker 6: and we couldn't go.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: I really do like Amsterdam as a place to go
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: propose because you could get bucked up. And yeah, well
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: that was it's not the way. When it's not the absence,
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: it's for real, will you marry me?
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: Well, I'm sorry we couldn't be a part of it,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: but it sounds like it worked out for the best
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: and and we're glad that you're on the show today.
- 1:11:43Speaker 6: Yeah, thank you very much for having us.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Do you guys have a question of form for us,
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: anything that we can any trivia you'd like answered anything
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: about the show at all.
- 1:11:54Speaker 6: I have one, but I'm gonna I'm going to succeed
- 1:11:57Speaker 6: to my Beyonce. Oh and see if she's got one.
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: Oh no, no, I'll ask mine. Mine was for Scrubs,
- 1:12:13Speaker 6: obviously being a comedy show. One of the things and
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: you guys have talked about people on the podcast was
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: you did have some really quite heavy storylines. But the
- 1:12:25Speaker 6: thing that I loved most about it was they were
- 1:12:27Speaker 6: never or rarely confined to a single episode, They would
- 1:12:30Speaker 6: generally tend to be put over a couple of episodes
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: in therefore you you'd handle the fallout of it and
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: things like that. So my favorite of that was when
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: doctor Cox lost three patients and then the following episode
- 1:12:42Speaker 6: is all of you going around trying to pick him
- 1:12:44Speaker 6: back up because he's really suffering with it. So mine
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: was really just is there any of those kind of long,
- 1:12:54Speaker 6: longer storylines that went over a couple of episodes where
- 1:12:57Speaker 6: that are either your favorite or you wish you actually
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: could have been involved in if it wasn't your storyline.
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: Well, the Brendan Fraser one, you know the problem for me,
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: and it's not it's not it's not a bad thing.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: It's just the way storytelling goes on television is you know,
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: you have somebody who you follow through the show and
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: most of the most of the things that most of
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: the things that come to the show happened to that person,
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: and everyone else on the side deals with something else,
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: like a b storyline. So Brendan Fraser being on the
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: show is a JD and Cox storyline, not necessarily a
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: Turk storyline. And you know, I've always you know, had
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: I always want to work with, you know, big stars
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: or people who are veterans of this industry and stuff
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: like that. And so for me, there are a bunch
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: of episodes where I'm like, damn, I wish I could
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: have been a part of that. When I when watching
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: the show, you know, Zach, we're doing the episode with
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: Dick Van Dyke and d L Hugelely. Now I love
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: DL right, I love him tremendously. I would have also
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: liked to have worked with Dick Van Dyke because he's
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: one of my He's one of my favorite people on
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: the planet, you know what I mean. So for me,
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: there's a bunch of I could I could go down
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: the list of storylines where I was like, Wow, I
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: wish I could have been a part of that. But
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: one that's real is the Brendan Fraser one I had.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: He was on the show for three episodes, and I
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: think I encountered him interacted with him in one scene
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: out of all of it.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: I don't know that I have a really answer for that,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: because I was I usually got to be involved with
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: a longer if, especially if it was an episode that
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: was a theme that was going to continue for a
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: few I feel like I was involved in it. But
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: but I agree with you. I liked it when they
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: would span. I noticed this episode actually kind of has
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: an abrupt ending. I think it goes like the yeah,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: heally must have done another episode, because it just kind
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: of abruptly ends.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: And it's funny because I wonder in syndication if they
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: show them in order or completely out of order.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: I don't know. You know, Season one of Scrubs was
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: one of those things where you could just turn it
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: on at any time and it doesn't matter where we are.
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: You kind of it's it's Scrubs. As we go further
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: on into the series, you notice that, you know, if
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: you missed one episode, you might could get lost.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: And the good thing about it is you can still
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: kind of follow it. I've been watching a lot of
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: BoJack Horsemen, by the way, which is so good. I
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: don't know if you guys have watched BoJack Horseman, And bizarrely,
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: I've been in I've been in the show as myself
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: a few times. In fact, the spoiler they actually feast
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: on my on my corpse at some point, hm hmm.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: But I and I had seen a few I said
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: yes to be on the show and wanted to be
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: on the show because I the few I saw were hilarious,
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: but it's such a now that I'm in quarantine and
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: sort of binging it and it's so incredibly smart, and
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: I think if you're a fan of Scrubs, you'll you'll
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: like it because it's so surreal and wacky sometimes, but
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: then also has this really deep social commentary and can
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: get quite dramatic for an animated show. I don't think
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: I've ever seen an animated show get so deep. And
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: the theme song is fire. Whenever I'm watching it and
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: the little Netflix thing comes up that's like skip intro,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: I'm like, how dare you, sir? We will not be
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: skipping this fire intro? Now we were gonna Donald, I
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: didn't even bring this up to you, but I thought
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: we could start a new segment. I don't know if
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Joelle warned you guys, Richard, but if there's anything in
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: your life that you need us to fix a problem.
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: Are you trying to Are we going to be shrinks?
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: Are going to be shrinks?
- 1:16:58Speaker 6: No?
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: I or not gonna shrinks.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: I'm not good at handyman work either, though.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: No, it could be anything Richard could say. We have
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: a drain that won't go down, and we tried everything.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: What do you guys think? Or he could say, how
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: do we tell my soon to be mother in law
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: that we don't want her to x y Z. The
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: point is is like we're gonna quickly give advice.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: We're going to fix your life. Yeah, what kind of
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: problems are you guys having?
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: This is a new segment called fix your Life. Yeah, Richard.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: It could be small, it could be big. It could
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: be like my doorknob keeps falling off of my door.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Whatever it is, we're gonna fix it right now.
- 1:17:36Speaker 6: Well, I think the best thing to ask for that
- 1:17:40Speaker 6: would be obviously with us having just got engaged. Donald,
- 1:17:45Speaker 6: obviously you're married and to your lovely wife, by the way,
- 1:17:51Speaker 6: and you should.
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: Have seen your wife's face when you said kill you.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: It's like the ring's not even dry.
- 1:18:03Speaker 6: And I know you obviously you had it zach it
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: at your house as well. But also from a wedding
- 1:18:10Speaker 6: planning point of view, like what would be your best
- 1:18:12Speaker 6: advice for planning?
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: Ah, take your time and it's you know, that's that's
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: one thing that you have to do. Look for deals
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: because that shit gets expensive as fuck. If you got
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: friends that can hook shit up, let them do it.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: You know what I mean. It's all right if you
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: don't get me the It's all right you don't get
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: me the freaking coaster. I appreciate anything you can do
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: to make this magical day happen, if you have friends
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: that can support you in that way, you know what
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: I mean. Also, you know, I don't know about you,
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: you know, getting married. I'm fine going to the Justice
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: of the peace. My wife was not alright with that.
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: She wanted to party, and so I was like, yo,
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: however you want to do it. I would say this,
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: it's a fantasy that needs to be lived out, and
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: in order for that to happen, you both have to
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: be honest with what you want, you know what I mean.
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: So if if if Richard, you have a certain idea
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: of what you're looking at for a wedding, you need
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: to express it. And Louise, if you have a fantasy
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: that you had for your wedding, you need to express
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: it and then you guys need to come to a compromise. Unfortunately,
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: this could take a really long time to compromise what
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: it is you want. But at the end of the day,
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: you only get You only get one I mean depends
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: on how well your marriage is, but you really only
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: get one time to get married, you know, first time
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: to get married divorced.
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: So you got a chance.
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: That's fine, But listen, you only get one chance to
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: You only get one chance to have a first wedding,
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: and so.
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: You will get one chance to have a first wedding.
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: It's what it is.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: My advice, all right, My advice from someone who's never
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: had a wedding but gone to many, is that the
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: music is the most important thing. Well, if you're gonna
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: get a DJ, like, make sure that it's the kind
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: of music you like. Don't just trust the DJ to
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: pick the vibe for your wedding party. Pick music that
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: you guys love. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: He's right about that, because we had a DJ and
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: a band, and the band was cool when we were
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: singing with the band, Like I sang two songs with
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: the band at my wedding and that was the coolest.
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: That was really cool. But then when the band was
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: performing by themselves, nobody was dancing, and then the DJ
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: turned up and then everybody was on the dance floor.
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: So it's really important as danel he knows.
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: Also don't have a cash bar. I went to a
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: wedding with a cash bar. That's a really bad look.
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: That's a bad look.
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: Like if you if you can't afford the bar tab,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: then invite less people. But don't make me, don't make
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: me go where's Yeah? Don't Yeah, I would say I
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: think weddings are better smaller. I mean, as someone who's
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: been to a bunch, I think when weddings are really big,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: it's you don't really have much personal contact with people.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: I don't. I mean, I personally don't like the big
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: ballroom thing of like everyone in a hotel. I think.
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: I think what we did for Donald was, you know,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: I don't have a big, fancy backyard. I have a
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: nice backyard, but it was like it was basically in
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: a backyard and there was a dance floor and there
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: was it was beautifully designed and everything with the way
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: that Casey had it decorated. But I mean, I just
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: think smaller. Better put that money that you saved from
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: not having too many people into great great decorations and
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: great music and great food, because it.
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: Has to be the best party of your life, you
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: know what I mean.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: It has to be now as part of thee as
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: part of the segment. I mean, you guys need to
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: answer whether or not we fixed your life successfully, and
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: I really almost there's one answer we prefer, but you
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: obviously have a choice of guess and no, I think,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: so do you think?
- 1:21:44Speaker 8: Sam?
- 1:21:45Speaker 6: I think definitely the one chance to make it what
- 1:21:49Speaker 6: we wanted to do is absolutely what we what we
- 1:21:51Speaker 6: want and definitely, and Zach, from a music point of view,
- 1:21:55Speaker 6: we've actually already started putting together a playlist of what
- 1:21:59Speaker 6: songs we want and do you want to say what
- 1:22:01Speaker 6: our first answer is going to be, Oh, that's so
- 1:22:06Speaker 6: sweet that you know.
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: Something that Richard, Louise, You're welcome.
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you, very thunderous applause. Dan, we fixed their life,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: We fixed their fixed their life, We successfully fixed their life.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: You guys will always know that you're the first couple
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: whose life we ever fixed. You're welcome, Thank you, You're
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: we thank you guys for coming the show.
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: Good luck, thank you, good luck.

- 1:23:11Speaker 1: That's Joel and Daniel. Hi, Joel Dell pas to meet you.

- 1:23:34Speaker 2: in Yeah, I do. Do you want to shout me
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: out of what these oils are? Because they were delicious?
- 1:23:41Speaker 8: Girl. I mean, all I can say, Donald is, you're
- 1:23:44Speaker 8: just going to put some olive oil and two clothes
- 1:23:47Speaker 8: of garlic in one and then then another one. You're
- 1:23:49Speaker 8: gonna do olive oil, chili flakes and a little bit
- 1:23:52Speaker 8: of pasta. It's going down, and then you're going to
- 1:23:56Speaker 8: put the oil on before you put the pizza in
- 1:23:59Speaker 8: the oven. And then you're to put it on the.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Crust and you drizzle it.
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: Oh, oh my god, I can't wait.
