A Phoenix judge just ruled that Arizona’s Secretary of State illegally described a ballot measure, saying voters can’t be told one proposition nullifies another before votes are cast. Proposition 145, meant to protect military family vouchers, includes a “poison pill” clause that voids the entire opposing measure, Prop 212 — but the judge said Fontes’ wording misled voters by implying Prop 212 was already law.
