Latest / Fanatically Speaking with Kent / 4 of 4 The Diddy Doc - Episode Four: Sean Combs The Reckoning - Blink Again
Transcript
- 0:07didn't the episode of Fanatically Speaking. I'm
- 0:40Kent, the co -host and promoter. I am Log Off,
- 0:43the Log Off legend, the hater of social media.
- 0:45I'm the co -host and producer of the show. And
- 0:48this episode is the last episode, the part four,
- 0:52of the Diddy documentary on Netflix. And go ahead
- 0:54with the title. Yeah, episode four, titled Blink
- 0:58Again. Okay. And that actually, that name was...
- 1:03It put me off a little bit. When I saw it, I
- 1:06was like, I don't get that. And then it actually
- 1:08kind of tied things together to something that
- 1:11was alluded to in episode three that we discussed,
- 1:14which is where it seems like every time you blink,
- 1:17something bad's happening around Diddy. People
- 1:20are getting hurt. Tragic things are happening.
- 1:23And he's always seeming to escape out the back
- 1:26door unscathed. So that was just kind of the
- 1:29theme. The episode and funny enough. I don't
- 1:32know if you know if you notice this it was actually
- 1:34the longest episode of the series Yeah, I noticed
- 1:38they kept getting longer. So yeah Yeah, yeah,
- 1:42I did notice that This episode it kind of started
- 1:47with he's on the phone of or you know currently
- 1:51or the more current video of him before his arrest
- 1:54They have someone on the phone and she's You
- 1:59know, they got some proof or something of that
- 2:02the female Loved every minute. So again did he's
- 2:06trying to get proof that he's innocent and did
- 2:08not do these things That are accused that he's
- 2:12accused of Yeah, so again, he's trying to get
- 2:15you know what he's accused of which is, you know
- 2:19racketeering sex trafficking Transportation to
- 2:23engage in prostitution. Yes some of those eventually
- 2:29we know we find out he gets off on and some he
- 2:32is guilty of. This episode again started more
- 2:38again with that and then it gets into Capricorn
- 2:41Clark. Yeah his former assistant. She started
- 2:48as assistant in 04 and ended up being the global
- 2:54brand director manager by the time she left in
- 3:002012. She was in the weeds. Yeah, she was in
- 3:06the weeds. She saw a lot. She was big in this
- 3:09episode in the beginning and later. She tells
- 3:15the story that her first day was normal and then
- 3:20Puff took her out to Central Park with some guards
- 3:23at night. And she, allegedly she knew Suge Knight
- 3:31and was friends with his baby mama. And Puff,
- 3:35this is her story, Puff says that, you know,
- 3:39anything goes down, I'll have to kill you. And
- 3:45he said, this is how I would kill you. Dark in
- 3:50the park. Just letting her know that he knew.
- 3:54that she had been connected to Suge. And like
- 3:57I said, if stuff goes down, he was giving her
- 4:00just kind of a threat of saying, are you down
- 4:03with me or not? Because if not, and something
- 4:05does go down, this is exactly how I'm gonna do
- 4:08it. Yeah, and this is where a tie over from the
- 4:15last episode we recorded, we were just talking
- 4:18about just kind of, you know, the... the influence
- 4:21of someone with massive amounts of fame and power
- 4:24and power is subjective because a lot of people
- 4:27just kind of equate power to money but power
- 4:31is is a matter of influence that you have on
- 4:36groups of people to get your way and clearly
- 4:39at that point Diddy had some of it not to the
- 4:42magnitude he has now but like you said I mean
- 4:46in early 2000s he still had quite a bit of power
- 4:49And the interesting thing was, even after that,
- 4:53she still chose to continue to work for him.
- 4:57And it's a very, yeah, just dark. For me, it'd
- 5:02just be kinda like, ah, yeah, you know what?
- 5:05I don't think this is for me. Another thing I'll
- 5:08say is, I've had a couple jobs in my life where
- 5:11I started, and within the first day or two, it
- 5:14was clear, you know what? This isn't for me.
- 5:18First couple day or two was like, you know what?
- 5:19Yeah, this isn't a place I'm gonna work and It
- 5:23was for far less than someone alleging. Hey,
- 5:26if something goes down I'll end up killing you
- 5:30and I'm gonna tell you how I'm gonna kill you
- 5:32Now go ahead and keep on taking my money and
- 5:34come and work for my record label. It just yeah,
- 5:36it's That's a strange stuff And funny enough
- 5:39like says she ended up getting promoted but this
- 5:42at the time she was just going to be the assistant
- 5:44now She does talk about that. She's you know
- 5:47She kind of knew how to deal with puff and she
- 5:49kind of knew how to deal with people like puff
- 5:52so She seemed strong at the time that that didn't
- 5:56faze her you talk about puffing his power in
- 6:00early 2000s But again, dude is again. He's coming
- 6:04off clean off of everything. So that only builds
- 6:07your You know mindset that I can do anything
- 6:11right? And as compared to a lot of people a lot
- 6:15of celebrities who Again, they kept bouncing
- 6:18off bad things bouncing off bad things and eventually
- 6:21boom boom boom something bad really does happen
- 6:23and they get busted but in this case, it's he's
- 6:27bouncing off everything and So again, he thinks
- 6:31now I can do whatever that God complex Let me
- 6:34threaten this girl because I know she's connected
- 6:36to shug night and I'm just gonna let her know
- 6:39you like I said you're either with me and you're
- 6:41gonna work for me this house gonna go down but
- 6:43It could go down bad. Yeah, I couldn't imagine
- 6:46working for somebody after they threaten to kill
- 6:47me But at the same time then I'm like, well,
- 6:49maybe they'll kill me. I don't know. Yeah Well,
- 6:52that's the thing is if I say if yeah if I say
- 6:54no, do they kill me? It's like it and any Based
- 7:00on her allegations. It was if this if something
- 7:04to this magnitude happens I'll kill you it wasn't
- 7:08I'll just kill you just to kill you something
- 7:10would have had to proceed it and you know it's
- 7:13just it's just it's a very i don't know the whole
- 7:18thing was bizarre and and i and i liked her a
- 7:20lot like like listening to her speak it was a
- 7:23really good um a really good kind of inside perspective
- 7:27they had a lot of like behind the scene footage
- 7:29with her you know you know uh even with like
- 7:33you know puff and cassie and You know, like you
- 7:37said, strong leader. And there was a quote she
- 7:40said and I loved it, man. I should have written
- 7:42it down, but it was something to the effect of
- 7:45like she, you know, he was, he was like a mess.
- 7:51but she was like puff as a person was a mess,
- 7:54but she understood how to kind of navigate and
- 7:57steer his mess. She understood that that was
- 8:00her job. And it was very empowering to kind of
- 8:05hear someone say something like that. It's like,
- 8:06you know, everybody's not going to be perfect.
- 8:08But I know how to handle this person. This is
- 8:11my job. This is my responsibility. And this is
- 8:13why I kind of keep moving up the ladder. It's
- 8:16got nothing to do with me doing his dirt, but
- 8:18I'm here to, to, to, to make him look better,
- 8:22which is why he kept me around for so long. Yeah.
- 8:25And we'll, and like you said, we'll get into
- 8:27that where it comes back. She comes back. Like
- 8:30I said, she knew she was there with Cassie and
- 8:32stuff. So yeah, she said, like I said, she knew
- 8:35how to work with the chaos of puff. Yes. She
- 8:38knew how to deal with them. Again, strong woman,
- 8:40strong leader. And she worked her way up. She
- 8:43earned her time. And at this point in the doc,
- 8:47it just said she worked there until 2012. But
- 8:52yes, she understood Puff and could deal with
- 8:54them. And she had the mindset for it. But she
- 8:57also talked about him being good at mental games,
- 9:01attacking fears, and retaliation. But then that
- 9:06led into we get introduced to Little Rod Yeah
- 9:12Okay, so my take on this is It's probably gonna
- 9:21be a little controversial so I'm happy to let
- 9:24you go or if you just want to let me cook I'm
- 9:28fine, but That out of the entire documentary,
- 9:31that's the one that was probably the most confusing
- 9:34I'll have to cover a lot of ground to kind of
- 9:36land the plane But I mean it's up to you. How
- 9:38you want me to do this? How we want man like
- 9:41I said, he you know, they got it a little right
- 9:43like say he was hired eventually they said to
- 9:45work on the new and the newest album of Diddy
- 9:49and You know, he kind of gave his His story of
- 9:53what you know transpired with him and did he
- 9:55but yeah, go for it OK, so to set the table,
- 9:59so Lil Rod was a producer, relatively up and
- 10:03coming, kind of worked his way into the Bad Boy
- 10:08studio. Puff liked them. They worked together
- 10:11well. And according to Lil Rod, it was, hey,
- 10:17I want you to help me work on this album. And
- 10:20he pretty much moved him to Miami, moved Lil
- 10:23Rod to Miami with him to work on the album. Long
- 10:27days, long nights, he said some examples about
- 10:32how there was some complex sounds that Diddy
- 10:36was trying to get out of some of the music he
- 10:37was trying to make. And Lil Rod just kind of,
- 10:41he was the only person able to kind of crack
- 10:43the code and be able to get it to work. So Diddy
- 10:45was impressed by that and was like, you know
- 10:46what dude, yeah, I want you to help me make this
- 10:48album. You understand what I'm trying to do.
- 10:52There's all types of... I think there's, you
- 10:58know, days where I may have been drugged. You
- 11:01know, I was instructed to go to sex clubs and
- 11:05recruit women wearing a bad boy hat. You know,
- 11:11days where he said that, you know, he would wake
- 11:14up and there would be women in bed next to him,
- 11:17and then there's days he'd wake up and Diddy
- 11:19would be in bed next to him. And I'll just say...
- 11:27Fuck a little radio. And this is why. The crux
- 11:36of all of this came down to him. Surprise! He
- 11:41didn't get paid from Puff. Surprise! That's what
- 11:46Puff does. He signs you to these predatory ass
- 11:49contracts. He makes you wait and wait and wait
- 11:51and drags these out to where you don't actually
- 11:55get paid. You know, he played several voicemails
- 11:58from puff where puff is just kind of kicking
- 12:00the kicking the can down the road. And my problem
- 12:04with this is the entire time that he was there,
- 12:07he didn't have a problem with any of it. He didn't
- 12:11have a problem with the drinking. He didn't have
- 12:12a problem with the drug and he didn't have a
- 12:14problem with the sex clubs. He didn't have a
- 12:17problem recruiting the women. He didn't have
- 12:18a problem with any of that stuff when he thought
- 12:20that it was going to. financially benefit him,
- 12:24then all of a sudden he joins the Cassie lawsuit
- 12:29when she files her charges against Puff. When
- 12:34he realizes, hey, this has been going on forever.
- 12:37The album's done. I still haven't gotten paid.
- 12:40That was the one where, and we've talked about
- 12:44it, you know, the celebrity, the draw, the power,
- 12:47the influence that somebody like of a diddy has.
- 12:51But the entire time he was there, you don't just
- 12:54do that for several months away from your family,
- 12:59living in the house with this celebrity, and
- 13:01not have the wherewithal of what actually is
- 13:03taking place and being aware that you're being
- 13:06taken advantage of. And then the only time you
- 13:09want to scream and cry foul is when you don't
- 13:12get compensated in a manner that you thought
- 13:14you were agreed upon. It bothered me. I think
- 13:20it made him look terrible. I don't know what
- 13:23his plan is to work in the music industry after
- 13:26this, but it was a terrible showing of that you
- 13:32putting yourself in that situation as a grown
- 13:35ass man shows me the lack of character that you
- 13:39have as a human being because you're okay with
- 13:41the suffering when it involves everyone else,
- 13:44but when you think it benefits you, you got no
- 13:46words. So yeah, man, fuck Lil Rod. Fuck out of
- 13:50here. OK. Yeah, that's your take. I'm going to
- 13:57agree with you. I'm going to agree and disagree,
- 14:01or not disagree, but I'm going to give you another
- 14:04side. So I'll agree, because I was going to say
- 14:08this about it later, but 100 civil cases, somebody's
- 14:13got to be lying. I would think, again, you jump
- 14:19on the, you start seeing the cases come out.
- 14:23Some people are going to be like, wait a minute,
- 14:25this happened to me, let me come out. And some
- 14:28are going to be like, oh, let me jump on board,
- 14:30right? Yes. Not that Lil Rod's lying, but you
- 14:35could look at this a couple different ways. And
- 14:37before I get into that, I just want to hit on
- 14:38one thing that he did say, you know, he did say,
- 14:41and you alluded to this earlier, but in this
- 14:44episode is when Puff, Or did he? However you
- 14:49want to call him. His son Justin and a guy named
- 14:52G went into the bathroom at the studio. Yes.
- 14:56And then they shot him. Little Rod said he heard
- 14:59gunshots, goes in there, blood, good bleeding.
- 15:02They come out. They try to get help. He tries
- 15:06to help them. Tells them, tell the police, you
- 15:09know, the shooting didn't happen here. Security
- 15:13for Pup, they make sure, you know, that Everybody
- 15:16stays inside. They deal with the police and ultimately
- 15:20again another incident where you know did he
- 15:22came off? You know clean somehow the police just
- 15:26left and believed that the dude had got shot
- 15:29somewhere else and We don't even know what happened
- 15:32to the guy and then as he said the you know They
- 15:35told reporters and the reporters went with it
- 15:38the lie or whatever And everyone in the studio
- 15:41just carried on like nothing had happened. So
- 15:44that was kind of funny Just that, you know, something
- 15:47else, again, violent happened. Someone got shot.
- 15:51And again, did he come out clean? So, I'm gonna
- 15:57come back at you with a little bit here. You
- 15:59know, like some people could say, even though
- 16:02Lil Rod's a guy, he could be compared to Cassie,
- 16:06right? They say the same thing about Cassie,
- 16:07right? Like, why does she stay around? Was she
- 16:10being manipulated? Was she being held hostage?
- 16:13Was she, you know, was it the fame that kept
- 16:15her there? And the same like you just said about
- 16:17Little Rod, like why don't they just leave? And
- 16:19these things can be said about, you know, and
- 16:21that's what I want to just kind of like touch
- 16:23on it. I get what you're saying, right? That
- 16:27again, he said nothing and then all of a sudden
- 16:28he's like, oh yeah, this stuff happened. But
- 16:33people can look at that two different ways. That
- 16:35again, he was being promised 250 ,000 at one
- 16:41point, the house beside Diddy and producer of
- 16:44the year. And then of course he talked about
- 16:47again, ultimately he was only ever offered $29
- 16:50,000 and he never saw that. But he does, like
- 16:55he said, he did stay there and he was like, well
- 16:56I'm gonna finish the album, I'm already here.
- 17:00But to, like you said, he did stay there for
- 17:0313 months recording, they were doing this album.
- 17:07That's not as long as Cassie was with Diddy,
- 17:11but you know, he was still there in Miami. They
- 17:14were doing this whole thing So yeah, I mean like
- 17:18you said He's got the proof of the the voicemails.
- 17:22So obviously Diddy was not trying to pay him
- 17:25and Give him the runaround You know, he also
- 17:30you know Accused Diddy of sending him gay porn
- 17:35videos and messages that were weird and Then
- 17:40another funny thing happened and I'm all over
- 17:42the place here. I'll let you have it back Again
- 17:46again clowning Diddy's rapping ability Yeah,
- 17:52I mean But we know that like he was We know that
- 17:57he's never been a great rapper, but this was
- 18:00still funny They had video of Diddy getting upset
- 18:03because he just couldn't get it right. It was
- 18:05hilarious, man. And again, he don't have Mark
- 18:09Curry. He don't have these actual rappers there
- 18:11to help him. You know, he's trying to get it
- 18:13with a producer. And a dude trying to help, Lil
- 18:16Ross trying to help him. And he don't want to,
- 18:17you know, he's just like, it was funny. A couple
- 18:21of things was that it said eight bars took him
- 18:24seven months to record. And I was like, God dang.
- 18:31And Diddy compared himself to Jesus when trying
- 18:35to get it right. And I'm like, here we go with
- 18:38the God complex. He's comparing himself to Jesus
- 18:42when he's trying to rap eight bars. And by the
- 18:46way, in that, I've never seen Diddy heavier.
- 18:50He had he had titties And he was just listen
- 19:00man Watching him struggle was just one of those
- 19:04things. I mean he looked exhausted and You know
- 19:10it I Could I could see it it was like you said,
- 19:14you know in the previous episode just kind of
- 19:16just how beaten down he looked He looked terrible,
- 19:18man like he looked he looked like a defeated
- 19:22man just trying you know and he's and he's in
- 19:25this you know this um uh this mansion you know
- 19:32in Miami on the water trying to record this album
- 19:34just him and a producer just trying to get this
- 19:36one verse right uh that was pretty funny it did
- 19:39make me laugh but um i've i don't i don't like
- 19:45how hello rod just tried to normalize it man
- 19:48how it was just like, hey, this is what we do.
- 19:51This is how we're going to do things. That shit
- 19:53bothered me. And I don't want, I'm not going
- 19:56to let him skate. I can't, I can't allow it to
- 19:59happen. You saw all these things happen and you
- 20:02were okay with all of it when you thought that
- 20:04it was your come up. And then the second you
- 20:06realize you were going to get screwed the same
- 20:08way, call everybody. I mean, dude, this is the
- 20:11person who didn't even pay for Big's funeral.
- 20:15Yeah. I will agree with you here again, he noticed
- 20:21the hidden cameras and he stayed. That's kind
- 20:25of weird. Like I said, there's one thing, the
- 20:26freak offs, and it is kind of weird. Puff is
- 20:29not your normal father figure, by the way. The
- 20:32relationship with him and Justin also struck
- 20:33me. Not only are they shooting people, beating
- 20:36up people allegedly, they're also involved in
- 20:39freak offs. I was going to try to say this until
- 20:45a little later in the episode, but we're here.
- 20:48Yeah. All right. I, I'm going to make a comparison
- 20:55to Diddy and a Oscar winning acting performance.
- 21:04One that is one of the best ever. I'm going to
- 21:07compare him to Alonzo Denzel Washington's character
- 21:10in training day. Okay. Okay. I think that Diddy's
- 21:18position on things and how he's able to control
- 21:20people is he gets everyone wrapped up into his
- 21:24shit. And the premise is if I go down, we all
- 21:27go down. Oh, y 'all gonna try to get me on these
- 21:30drugs? By the way, y 'all been taking drugs for
- 21:33months and don't even know it. I've been drugging
- 21:35all of you people. You talked about the gunshot,
- 21:38you know, in the alleged bathroom thing with
- 21:40Lil Rod being there and all that. Justin was
- 21:43there. Diddy's got that on his own son. If it's
- 21:48true, he could say, Justin, I can just go to
- 21:50the cops and say you were the person that shot
- 21:52that dude in the bathroom that time. You were
- 21:54in there with me. So even if anything, you were
- 21:57an accomplice to what took place. Like, it's
- 22:01everything is, like you said, the recordings.
- 22:04It's like, oh, okay, I'm going to record this.
- 22:07I got a video tape of you with this guy, this
- 22:09guy, this guy, this guy. Oh, well, I was drugged.
- 22:11You can't prove you were drugged. You look like
- 22:13you were coherent in the video. Yeah. Having
- 22:17fun. Having fun. And you know what I'm going
- 22:18to do? I'm going to tape this tape and I'm going
- 22:20to send it to your mama. I'm going to send it
- 22:22to your family. I'm going to put this on the
- 22:24internet. It's just one of those things to where
- 22:26I feel like he always had a one -up just keeping
- 22:30everybody so wrapped up in his bullshit. to where
- 22:33if anything was to go wrong he had something
- 22:36on you because he's got you in the building doing
- 22:40something nefarious which even if you don't fully
- 22:44go down the way that he goes down it still it
- 22:48still ropes you in and brings you down as a character.
- 22:52You're an accomplice of some sort. You can't
- 22:55say, Oh, well, Diddy was taking drugs when you've
- 22:57got the same stuff in your system. Oh, well,
- 22:59Diddy was participating in freak offs when he's
- 23:01got videos of you sprawled out on a bed with,
- 23:03you know, people all over you. It's like, Oh,
- 23:05well, you were doing the same thing too. Um,
- 23:08and it's a, I don't know if it's a fair comparison,
- 23:14but it seemed to be a consistent theme. where
- 23:18everybody was involved in something. And like
- 23:22you said, with Curry, where he said the same
- 23:25thing, where it was like, where, I forgot, it
- 23:28was something that was taking place and he was
- 23:30like, oh, well, I'm gonna stay here and do this
- 23:32music. You guys can go. Y 'all can go. I'm gonna
- 23:35stay right here. I got to, that's recording now.
- 23:38No, that's when they went and yeah, beat up Steve
- 23:40Stout. Yeah, he was like, yeah, I'm gonna stay
- 23:42here. Y 'all do, y 'all go do that. Y 'all go
- 23:44take care of that. I'm gonna stay right here.
- 23:45I'm gonna go ahead and knock out these records.
- 23:47I need to finish this stuff up anyway. Yeah.
- 23:49He was smart. So, but, but again, it was, but
- 23:51even then he had to wear with all of some dumb
- 23:55shit's about to go down. I don't want to be a
- 23:57part of it, but I'm not going to leave bad boy.
- 24:00Well, he had already seen it. He'd already seen
- 24:02it. And even knew that. Yeah. If you're around
- 24:05them, something's going to happen. Something's
- 24:06going to happen. And even if, and even if he,
- 24:09and if he did go with him, Now, he's an accomplice.
- 24:14He's tied and attached to it. Now, it's Ann -Mark
- 24:17Curry beat up Steve Stout. You know what I mean?
- 24:19Now, his name is forever associated with it as
- 24:22opposed to him staying at the studio working
- 24:24on what he was working on. It's funny to me.
- 24:26It's hilarious. You're right. They briefly show,
- 24:34again, back to the recent videographer video
- 24:37and before the arrest or all this stuff coming
- 24:40down. This is very quick where, you know, it's
- 24:43Puff. It's, uh, his security, Fahim and Justin
- 24:46in there with the lawyer talking about a deal
- 24:49or something with, you know, about the case and,
- 24:53uh, you know, security for him. He was like,
- 24:55yeah, don't, you know, you're not supposed to
- 24:58be recording this. Yeah. We don't want to give
- 25:01away nothing. So, you know, so obviously they're,
- 25:05they're into the case. They cut back to Aubrey
- 25:09of Danny D. Kane. Where this is where she reads
- 25:14the affidavit from a woman Who says she walked
- 25:18in on puff in the security guard with Aubrey
- 25:20and Aubrey has no recollection of this Yes, and
- 25:24this woman again talks about Aubrey looking drug
- 25:27inebriated of some sort and they are allegedly
- 25:32raping her and You know, they kind of like dismissed
- 25:38it, you know, she told Conrad who worked for
- 25:40bad boy and produced any decaying and The woman
- 25:43did and you know, he told her mind her business
- 25:45and Aubrey again again another graphic another
- 25:49Explicit moment with Aubrey where you know, she
- 25:52doesn't even know this She doesn't remember it
- 25:54and she says she doesn't want to remember it
- 26:00Yeah, and the other thing was as she was reading
- 26:03it it was and kind of recounting it, it was vehement.
- 26:09Like, no, Aubrey, this happened to you. I saw
- 26:13it. 100%. 100%. I have no doubt in my mind. I
- 26:17know what I saw. Like, you may not want to hear
- 26:21it. Yes, this is terrible, but this absolutely
- 26:24happened to you. Yeah, I mean, it's sad, man.
- 26:27That's sad as hell. Yeah, and this is someone,
- 26:30again, not accusing him of doing it to them.
- 26:33This is... Like, no, I saw it happen to you.
- 26:36Yes. Yeah. And that's a little different. Yeah,
- 26:40very different, because it doesn't show... That's
- 26:47the empathy. Like, girl, I need to let you know
- 26:50that this is what happened to you. I don't benefit
- 26:53from telling you this, but I have to let you
- 26:56know. Yeah. And she came forward. Good for her.
- 27:00And I don't know if anything happened or will
- 27:02happen, but we'll see. It cuts again to Diddy,
- 27:06recent. He's looking for dollar -a -shard clips,
- 27:10talking good about him. He's trying to get anything
- 27:13he can to make him look good. He is ultimately
- 27:16arrested on September 16th, 2024. His hotel room
- 27:23is searched. Again, they found prescriptions,
- 27:269 ,000 cash in a fanny pack, more drugs, you
- 27:31know, ketamine. baby oil lubricant more baby
- 27:36oil uh nobel set and because he had an issue
- 27:44with contacting witnesses and people who had
- 27:49been uh subpoena yeah and the big one and the
- 27:54big one that he had contacted was kalina harper
- 28:00of dirty money yes She tells the story. This
- 28:06is this is kind of crazy again. You think about
- 28:08them Leaving everybody benefiting off of everybody
- 28:11and like you said You never had empathy. You
- 28:15never saw him helping anyone else But always
- 28:19raising himself She tells the story where she
- 28:22had reached out to him with help about a child
- 28:26custody battle She needed a lawyer. She needed
- 28:305 ,000 and said she would pay them back And he
- 28:36said no. But then he was reaching out to her
- 28:41for her good word to help him out in these allegations.
- 28:48What stood out to you most about that portion?
- 28:55That she ultimately spoke out in his defense.
- 28:59That's where I was going to go to. She's in tears
- 29:03about losing custody of her children. She's in
- 29:07tears of, man, I just need your help. She didn't
- 29:11come off as a beggar. You're in a position where,
- 29:18for him to have an attorney help her, and that
- 29:20case is nothing. It probably wouldn't even cost
- 29:23him any money to just call in the favor. For
- 29:25him to just call in the turn and say, hey, I
- 29:26need y 'all to go take care of that for me. And
- 29:27I ain't paying you shit. Just go take care of
- 29:30this for it. She the homie. Go take care of that
- 29:32for me. He could do that. He has that type of
- 29:35influence and power that we keep talking about.
- 29:39He didn't do it, refused to do it. It was only
- 29:42$5 ,000. Think about that. She was only asking
- 29:44for $5 ,000. $5 ,000. Yeah. Now, honestly - How
- 29:47much is he worth? 5 000, but here's the thing
- 29:50and even here and this is where I'm one of these
- 29:54people I would prefer if you need something from
- 29:56me I would prefer you to ask me for the thing
- 30:00as opposed to the money for the thing if that
- 30:02makes sense I got like I would rather you ask
- 30:05me to Lend you my car so you can drive my car
- 30:11as opposed to you to ask me the money to help
- 30:12buy you a car So but but for him He's so connected
- 30:18to where he could you telling me and especially
- 30:21him and all the nonsense that he's been wrapped
- 30:23up in I'm pretty sure he spoke it to a child
- 30:25custody attorney at some point in his life He
- 30:28knows somebody that he can call and even at her
- 30:32bottom at her worst She's still caped up for
- 30:35him now. It was never confirmed whether or not
- 30:38he actually gave her any money So I don't know
- 30:42whether or not it was a paper play thing where
- 30:44he asked her for the good word and for her cosign
- 30:47And he broke her off something that was never
- 30:50said or confirmed So I don't know and that might
- 30:53be a leap that I'm making But for her to write
- 30:57that out and for her to give him that to put
- 31:00out publicly to try to make him look better Damn,
- 31:04man. It's like y 'all got it bad She was in a
- 31:07tough spot This was mainly about the allegations
- 31:10from Dawn Richard. Yes, but she was like yeah
- 31:13with dirty money To her I mean, you know to her
- 31:18she was being about as honest as she could It
- 31:22was like she didn't see anything So that's what
- 31:26her story was because she could easily say, you
- 31:29know Well, I've hear all this other stuff and
- 31:31I don't know if he's a great person and yeah,
- 31:33he didn't help me out But I honestly didn't see
- 31:36anything Yeah, so when we talk about earlier
- 31:40about anyone having his back She's the only person
- 31:44Really that had spoken out to defend him. But
- 31:50again, she was just telling her story Then it
- 31:56goes into back to Capricorn Clark, yes She's
- 32:02talking to you know lawyers and she's telling
- 32:04the story What she witnessed and encountered
- 32:08not just witnessed but was a part of You know,
- 32:11we talked about her earlier being dragged to
- 32:13Central Park her first day told it she would
- 32:15get killed if anything went down Yeah Yeah, so
- 32:20she tells the story of Cassie Diddy's out of
- 32:24town Cassie stays with her Cassie goes out with
- 32:29Kid Cudi and stays the night Then the next day
- 32:34texter wants to go hiking those three She kind
- 32:39of tells Cassie, you know like Puff can cheat
- 32:42on you, but you can't cheat on him And it's gonna
- 32:46come back to me because I work for him now. Ultimately
- 32:49they do go hiking And she tells her like now
- 32:55you you've kind of implicated me like you you
- 32:57know, I mean I'm involved now A week later, Puff
- 33:01allegedly shows up, Clark says, shows up at her
- 33:05house about 6 a .m., 6 30 a .m., enraged with
- 33:09a gun, asking why she didn't tell him about Kid
- 33:13Gutty. She plays it off and says, oh yeah, that's
- 33:16Cassie's friend. Well, he was like, get dressed,
- 33:21we're going to kill him. So they go into that.
- 33:26And this is where, of course, she says that she
- 33:28was forced kidnapped to go with him, even though
- 33:31she didn't want to. Of course, he's got a gun.
- 33:33Go to Kid Cudi's house. She calls Cassie as Puff
- 33:37goes inside. Cassie says, Cudi's with her. Puff
- 33:42comes out. You know, basically, they get this
- 33:44whole thing of, well, he's not letting Clark
- 33:46go until Cassie comes. Cassie, of course, comes.
- 33:50And this is where, of course, she says he never
- 33:53hit Cassie in the face or anything like that.
- 33:56She was just crouched down on the ground and
- 33:58Puff just kicked the living daylights out of
- 34:00her. Just kicking her, yeah. Yeah. Tells Cuddy,
- 34:05you know, don't tell the police or he's killing
- 34:09all of them. So that happened. And then, of course,
- 34:14that was why Clark got fired or left in 2012.
- 34:21She claims she didn't come forward because she
- 34:23was protecting the culture. Um, it didn't make
- 34:28any public statement either about Diddy being
- 34:32the devil until Cassie, uh, you know, come out
- 34:35with her allegations. Yeah. And, and that's the
- 34:38thing. And she actually said that, uh, Capricorn
- 34:40Clark did where she, she made it. She's like,
- 34:44she's like, go back and look at my history guys.
- 34:46Like I never said anything bad about bad boy
- 34:49publicly. Like look at the records, like look
- 34:51at what I've done since I've left. I've always
- 34:53spoken glowingly about them. I've always spoken
- 34:56glowingly about bad boy and my experiences there.
- 34:59And she's like, but you know, when this type,
- 35:01like she was called as like, oh, she was a witness
- 35:03on the stand. And I kind of hate to fast track
- 35:07to the jury conviction side of things. Do you
- 35:13want to go ahead and move in that direction now?
- 35:16Yeah, because after this, after her story, of
- 35:18course, it cuts to the verdict in the trial.
- 35:21And it talks to, like you said, two jurors. And
- 35:24this is, of course, where he is acquitted on
- 35:28racketeering and sex trafficking, but guilty
- 35:31of... transportation to engage in prostitution.
- 35:37He had eight lawyers, so he had his own dream
- 35:41team. Johnny Cochran, RIP, was not here to help
- 35:44him this time. So his PR, they talk about the
- 35:49PR team doing work with, like you said, the jury.
- 35:56They were not sequestered. So they got to go
- 35:58home every day So, you know, they talk about
- 36:01it going to social media and things like that.
- 36:03I mean It was kind of interesting. I mean It's
- 36:08a different world. It was kind of weird You know
- 36:13about the jury like do you sequester them do
- 36:15you not there's a lot of information Social media
- 36:18is big now. So that was kind of crazy So and
- 36:21I'm you know, it's in my name log off I don't
- 36:25play those games on social media. If anybody
- 36:28listened to this, if you love social media, congratulations.
- 36:32That shit ain't for me. Fuck social media. I
- 36:36question, I'm not gonna question the, I'm not
- 36:41gonna question the influence that those social
- 36:46media post. And just for clarification, it was
- 36:49a lot of influencers that were kind of brought
- 36:52in to give, contradicting slash glowing Diddy
- 36:59perspectives on the case of what things were
- 37:01happening. And it was alleged that some of the
- 37:05things that they were saying on social media
- 37:06were just flat out not true. To where, when things
- 37:10would happen in court and it actually would hurt
- 37:14Diddy, they would go and put a spin on it that
- 37:17made it seem like it was actually benefiting
- 37:19him to make him appear less guilty. That's one
- 37:22thing. The part about it that I don't fully buy
- 37:27is whether or not it actually impacted the jury's
- 37:33influence as a whole. I think his celebrity and
- 37:38power as a record, a major record executive played
- 37:43a bigger role than what took place on social
- 37:45media now in terms of shifting the public perception
- 37:48shore i'll give you that that's the social media
- 37:50influences and all that stuff but the particular
- 37:52people that and especially the particular jurors
- 37:54that they had these are people who are actually
- 37:57on the jury they don't like people who were that
- 38:00tied to what's going on on social media anyway
- 38:03and the convictions in which they kind of dismiss
- 38:05these allegations It made it look like the state
- 38:13didn't do a great job bringing forth this case
- 38:17Yeah, and I agree with that like the social media
- 38:21stuff probably didn't affect the jury's like
- 38:23they're in the courtroom and I think the lady
- 38:26even spoke like Yeah, why we knew that wasn't
- 38:29what happened So they're not getting fooled by
- 38:32these things They spoke to they interviewed in
- 38:36the doc two jurors, you know woman and a man
- 38:40The woman knew who Diddy was, she grew up with
- 38:43the music, all that. The man did not know who
- 38:46he was, so he was coming in with a clear mind.
- 38:50Don't know about the rest of them. Yeah, I think,
- 38:57again, his lawyers probably did a better job,
- 38:59his defense. One of the things that struck me
- 39:03was, again, you have this video of Diddy and
- 39:08Cassie. But domestic violence wasn't a charge
- 39:11No, it wasn't and I don't know what the What
- 39:18the stipulations were and domestic violence is
- 39:20a tricky thing because it It wasn't domestic
- 39:26violence. It wasn't like a simple assault and
- 39:30I don't I don't I forget what state it took place
- 39:32in what jurisdiction But it wasn't like it's
- 39:35not a federal crime to assault someone And these
- 39:39were like major, like this was a Rico case. This
- 39:43was like racketeering. They made him out to be
- 39:47this criminal kingpin ringleader. They were going
- 39:52big. Yeah, they were going big. And if we're
- 39:55going to be honest, I know as damning as that
- 39:57tape was, I feel like that other evidence was
- 39:59pretty strong too, even though the tape is horrible
- 40:03for his public perception. And I will... tell
- 40:07you this, and this is just what I know from my
- 40:09limited legal knowledge. In a case like that,
- 40:14it's explicitly stated by the judge that outside
- 40:18other pending charges don't come into play. Right,
- 40:22it's it's expressed to them and and I've and
- 40:25I've actually sat on juries I think I've actually
- 40:26told you about that that one story I've actually
- 40:29sat on the jury and they're like listen all this
- 40:31other stuff like you can't you can't have this
- 40:33in your thought process When you're making a
- 40:35decision we're talking about what's taking place
- 40:37in here You listen to the defense you listen
- 40:39to the state you listen to one side You listen
- 40:42to the other and that's what you make your you
- 40:44take all your preconceived notions and toss it
- 40:46out the window That video that you saw on the
- 40:48internet that does not play a role here. So As
- 40:53damning as that video was, unfortunately, yeah,
- 40:56nobody actually brought him up on charges of
- 40:58that. No, and the other thing about the jury
- 41:03and especially the two jurors they talked to,
- 41:06they did not believe Capricorn Clark's story.
- 41:09that Diddy had kidnapped her and forced her to
- 41:13do all this. And they were just like, yeah, I
- 41:15didn't buy it. I didn't buy it. Yeah, she was
- 41:17crying. And how are you emotional over something
- 41:19that happened such as such years ago? It was
- 41:23crazy. It was really crazy. And listen, and I
- 41:26don't know, maybe that documentary painted Capricorn
- 41:29Clark to be far more believable than she was
- 41:32in a courtroom. Out of everyone that they interviewed,
- 41:36she seemed like the person that was on the least
- 41:39amount of bullshit. At least to me. Yeah. She
- 41:44was straight up, like you said, a strong woman,
- 41:46but this was the one that broke her down. This
- 41:49was the story. Like, and she kind of, like you
- 41:52said, for the culture, she was like, I must stay
- 41:54quiet, but then it's Cassie's time. If, if Cassie
- 41:59comes forward, then I'm going to, then I'm going
- 42:01to come forward. And, uh, and she did that. And
- 42:04again, it was about her, but it was also about
- 42:08Cassie. And it was also about another violent
- 42:13activity, event that involved Puff. So she was
- 42:17telling her story. And yeah, both of them were
- 42:20just, like you said, adamant that they just didn't
- 42:23believe her. That this could have never happened,
- 42:27like, kidnap, really. Like, well, if you're held
- 42:30with a gun and forced to go somewhere, That's
- 42:33kind of kidnapping. Yeah, but but also it also
- 42:37goes back to the the tropes that were repeated
- 42:42by the by both of the jurors that were interviewed
- 42:46The the tropes were kind of the same with both
- 42:51Cassie and Capricorn Clark Where it's oh all
- 42:57these horrible things happen to you over and
- 42:59over again for years and you still stuck it out.
- 43:04And now that it's over, you want to bring it
- 43:07to light. That was kind of what was, that's the
- 43:10correlation that both of the jurors seem to make
- 43:13where it's like, eh, are you really a credible
- 43:16witness here? Or you're just trying to go after
- 43:19the rich, powerful black man. It, yeah, it was,
- 43:22it was a little, it was unsettling. I was, yeah,
- 43:26I wasn't a fan of them. And I didn't like how,
- 43:29and, Damn it, Kent. Damn. The female juror that
- 43:38they interviewed. Yeah. Why the fuck you smiling
- 43:42so much? What you smiling so much for? Like like
- 43:49it was like the first the first thing that came
- 43:51to my mind was wow She's got some great teeth,
- 43:54and then I'm like wait. Why am I seeing her teeth
- 43:56so much? What's she smile? This ain't funny like
- 43:58this ain't a laughing matter like like yeah like
- 44:01like why is like why is everything you saying
- 44:04with a with a crest smile Like it was it was
- 44:09almost as if she was detached from the subject
- 44:11matter Altogether like no like this was some
- 44:14serious stuff And you're just casually, the dude
- 44:18was real laid back. And another thing I want
- 44:20to point out. Serious. Yeah, super serious. I
- 44:24think it was strategic. Again, man, Diddy's got
- 44:26some good lawyers. English was the second language,
- 44:29dude. Yeah. You know, English was the second
- 44:33language. For the female juror, not so much.
- 44:35She understood what was going on. And she also
- 44:38admitted that that was her era. No, yes. Like
- 44:43I said, she knew. He had no idea. He has no idea.
- 44:47Yeah, he doesn't listen to hip -hop. He's not
- 44:49He's not bad boy for life. No, he is not no He
- 44:53is not you know, can't stop won't stop take that
- 44:55take that but for her it threw me off I'm like,
- 44:59come on girl. Like like you do know this is on
- 45:02video, right? Like what you smiling so much for
- 45:06like this ain't funny like even though he got
- 45:10off and even if you're not gonna take this serious
- 45:12Read the room Yeah, she she definitely was really
- 45:18happy about being on the documentary very very
- 45:21happy yeah Yeah, and that brings me you know
- 45:26brings us to the next you know we go they come
- 45:28back with Kirk Burroughs Who was Diddy's right
- 45:31-hand man at bad boy and of course ultimately
- 45:34he you know he quit over the You know Diddy changing
- 45:39the contract to Biggie so his family wouldn't
- 45:41get as much money And they kind of painted him
- 45:45as like the main victim, even though I think
- 45:48there's probably bigger victims. But I mean,
- 45:51people did die in this whole span of Puff and
- 45:57Puffy, did he? But he is painted as a main victim
- 46:00because he helped build Bad Boy right there with
- 46:04Puff, godfather to Puff's son. But he ultimately
- 46:09also has filed a lawsuit. against Buff, and his
- 46:15case was dismissed. This was early on. And he
- 46:22basically said he was banished from the industry
- 46:24for the last 25 years. He had been homeless in
- 46:27shelters, never got back his 25 % stock. And
- 46:33this just, again, you can look at this different
- 46:38ways, like you pointed out, like the jury looking
- 46:40at Capricorn Clark. Is she just mad because she
- 46:43got fired? You know, anybody can look at this
- 46:47two different ways, right? You can look at everybody's
- 46:50story. Everybody's alleged like I'm a victim.
- 46:54This happened to me. And you got some people
- 46:58that you might just look at and say, well, you're
- 47:01mad because you got fired. Well, you're mad because
- 47:03you got, you know, he didn't use you anymore.
- 47:07You didn't get paid. But like you said. Like
- 47:11someone like Little Rod, he hang around. Cassie,
- 47:15again, you talk about the trial. I think ultimately
- 47:17what did her in was text messages or that she's
- 47:21the one doing the texting and the calling, getting
- 47:23the gigolo. And there was the getting back with
- 47:26Puff and that's a whole nother, like you get
- 47:29into domestic violence and, you know, whatever
- 47:33was going on between her and Diddy and this,
- 47:36you know, relationship. But then you've got the
- 47:41people like I said though. It's like it's still
- 47:43a pattern. It's still a theme of This was your
- 47:47guy at bad boy right and you just kicked him
- 47:52to the curb and went on to the next one or Biggie
- 47:57died and you just elevate yourself Danny decay
- 48:01Aubrey you're out Danny decaying is done. I'm
- 48:04going to dirty money or Like, yeah, you're gonna
- 48:08take the fall, now we're done. It's on and on
- 48:12and on and on. It's just another theme and the
- 48:15pattern of, again, just using people. So again,
- 48:19the jury can look at it however they want, right?
- 48:21And it's always the case when people come forward
- 48:24after the fact. It's always the question that's
- 48:27asked, you know, why didn't you say something
- 48:30then? Why didn't you say, you know, why did it
- 48:33take you so long? And there's a lot of different
- 48:35reasons and every situation I think is different.
- 48:38And like you said, for some people, it's you're
- 48:41like, this is fame. This is fortune. This is
- 48:44like, I worked for Diddy. I worked for bad boy.
- 48:47I can handle it. And then, you know, or yeah,
- 48:51I'm getting this deal or I'm, you know, it's
- 48:54kind of, and again, that's where you talk about
- 48:56maybe there was mental manipulation. Maybe there
- 48:59is some sort of control that he had on people
- 49:02or the threat of violence or the threat of anything
- 49:07so it's just the theme using others gaining power
- 49:14money popularity and then again going on to the
- 49:17next one and you know then they then they also
- 49:21spoke about cassie and others during this documentary
- 49:25during the trial who was spoken out against them
- 49:28you know will there be you know retribution uh
- 49:32from puff one day. Yeah and I mean and this is
- 49:37where classic does does this documentary ruffle
- 49:45so many feathers that there's more people looking
- 49:48into and and this is kind of a great recap on
- 49:54on the documentary as a whole, because if you
- 49:57go back to everything, we've already talked about
- 50:00all the instances of violence. We talked about
- 50:02the charity basketball game. We talked about
- 50:05the Tupac shootings, multiple Tupac shootings.
- 50:09We talked about the biggie shootings. We talked
- 50:12about the other gentlemen in the alleged recording
- 50:18studio shooting. the Kid Cudi stuff. And by the
- 50:26way, one thing, did they mention the whole Kid
- 50:29Cudi's car getting blown up thing? No, they didn't
- 50:33even mention that, right? Another glaring omission
- 50:38in all this. Where is the plaid -vested umbrella
- 50:44twirling Farnsworth Bentley? He was in like a
- 50:48picture. He was in one photo. He disappeared
- 50:51off the face of the earth. yeah so so my my my
- 50:56bigger big picture question is is there going
- 50:58to be more things that kind of resurface and
- 51:00dig this and dig up you know some skeletons that
- 51:05maybe he doesn't want revealed and you know i
- 51:09love to make comparisons kind of do some comparison
- 51:12shopping i i remember what do you remember what
- 51:17was the genesis of what took down bill cosby
- 51:24I don't, I'm not sure. Okay. The Genesis and
- 51:28this is my wheelhouse. It was a comedian. It
- 51:30was a Hannibal Burris. Oh yeah. And Hannibal
- 51:33Burris said some things about Bill Cosby and
- 51:38he didn't even say anything about any allegations
- 51:41about Bill Cosby. And the crowd was kind of giving
- 51:45him some shit. Oh man. What are you talking?
- 51:47You can't say that about Bill Cosby and Hannibal
- 51:50Burris is response. in a comedic set on stage
- 51:55on the recording with a microphone, why are y
- 51:58'all defending him? That dude's a rapist. Look
- 52:02it up. Bill Cosby, he just said it. And then
- 52:06that went viral. Hannibal Burress calls Bill
- 52:09Cosby a racist, a rapist, excuse me, a rapist.
- 52:12And then he looks at it and the people starting
- 52:14to dig into it and goes, holy shit. Did y 'all
- 52:17see all these allegations that Bill Cosby has?
- 52:21of drugging and raping women, I feel like this
- 52:25documentary could have that kind of legs, man,
- 52:29to where it's gonna just touch on so many things
- 52:32that people are gonna start coming out of the
- 52:35woodwork, people who are not Cassie, people who
- 52:39are not Capricorn Clark, people who don't have
- 52:42a stake in the game and go, you know what, man,
- 52:44I did see Diddy do that dirty shit, and I don't
- 52:46even want any credit, I just wanna see this motherfucker
- 52:49burn. It could start something like that. So
- 52:53I just want to throw that out there, too. Well,
- 52:56we don't know. Like you said, 77 cases are still
- 52:59pending. That's a lot, dude. We don't know who
- 53:02all those people are. I got another takeaway
- 53:08from all this. And this is not my final takeaway,
- 53:12but it is a takeaway. I think there's something
- 53:15to be said. about him changing his name so many
- 53:19times. Go. Oh, yeah, cook on that. Yeah, I'm
- 53:24curious. Yeah, what you got? So that kind of
- 53:27struck me, right? It's like, again, you talk
- 53:29about these events that happened. He didn't so
- 53:33much recreate himself. Again, he just kept getting
- 53:35larger and larger. But it's almost, you know,
- 53:39it's like, again, he is Sean Combs. He was Puff
- 53:43Daddy, or Puff. Then he was Puffy. P Diddy Diddy
- 53:49and it was kind of like Phases in his life. He
- 53:53kept on You know what I mean? Does that make
- 53:56sense? It's a I don't know if I'm really cooking
- 53:58here, but I took it as like The the the phases
- 54:04in his life in his career it changed with the
- 54:08name Almost almost like he was trying to shed
- 54:13his former self and leave that behind him. But
- 54:18yet he stayed consistent, though. OK. Does that
- 54:23make sense? I got you. No, it does make sense.
- 54:26And by the way, if you think about it, I was
- 54:30trying to think of instances of someone of his
- 54:33magnitude. I mean, he changed his name a lot.
- 54:37Yeah, I just rolled him off. But I'm trying to
- 54:40think of someone at his level. who, I mean like,
- 54:45I mean like 50 Cent, I know Curtis Jackson, Jay
- 54:50-Z, Sean Carter, Hove, but they never changed
- 54:56their name. That's, oh, hold on, Snoop did. Snoop
- 55:03changed his name, Snoop Lion. Yeah, but he didn't
- 55:08keep it. Yeah, and we just always called him,
- 55:10yeah, we always called him Snoop anyway. Okay.
- 55:14All right. No, no, that's a good point. You're,
- 55:17I mean, it makes sense. And, and then, and he
- 55:19would always, he never referred to himself as
- 55:24his past self. He like, like what, like when
- 55:28he changed his name to P daddy, he never went
- 55:30back, back to puff or puffy or puff daddy. Yeah,
- 55:33not really. Um, I'm going to make a little joke
- 55:37here. Uh, yeah, the best name change was, uh,
- 55:39old dirty bastard. Big baby Jesus. That is the
- 55:46one that makes me laugh the most. Yeah, you're
- 55:50right. I mean, I think everybody like us in this
- 55:53doc, I mean, I go back and forth, I'd say Diddy,
- 55:55but at the time he was Puffy, so I would just
- 55:57be like, I'm just saying like Puffy, Diddy, whatever
- 55:59you want to call him. We know who he is, right?
- 56:03But you're right. I don't think he ever went
- 56:05back. It was kind of like, yeah, I'm P. Diddy.
- 56:09And then it's like, no, I'm just Diddy. It's
- 56:13it's kind of funny. It's kind of weird And you're
- 56:17right. I just think you said he was trying to
- 56:20shed something But at the same time again as
- 56:24we talk about the things just kept happening
- 56:27That were the same violence bad things some was
- 56:30hurt. Someone's killed Something happened and
- 56:34he come out clean and even in this case I think
- 56:39he didn't get the worst of it, right? It could
- 56:42have been way worse. Life in prison. 50 months
- 56:46instead of life in prison. But as you said, when
- 56:49he comes out, it's not like coming out to nothing.
- 56:55It's 77 cases are still pending. And as you said,
- 56:58others may come out against him. And his days
- 57:02in the music industry could be over. I mean they
- 57:10kind of already were but as a as a There's there's
- 57:20a couple of things that can end your career in
- 57:23this day and age and One of them is when you're
- 57:30exposed as a lame when we thought that you were
- 57:33cool. I Think this documentary kind of did a
- 57:38lot of that, where it kind of exposed him as
- 57:40kind of a cornball. For sure. And, you know,
- 57:45the allegations that are surrounding him are
- 57:50as dark as they are and as consistent as they
- 57:54are. Ultimately, I think the thing that would
- 58:00ruin him would be one more allegation. I think
- 58:05it's going to be like an OJ situation where something's
- 58:10going to happen and it's like, oh, got you slipping.
- 58:13Yeah. Got him. Let's go ahead and get him up
- 58:16out of here. And now everything that's in that
- 58:19documentary and his public perception is so dark
- 58:22because this Diddy case is huge, not quite OJ
- 58:26level, but it's well known. It's pop culture
- 58:30and Now I think if one one small thing do what
- 58:37OJ ended up going to prison for was benign In
- 58:42comparison to a lot of things I see every day
- 58:45in real life and in on the news Yeah, I mean
- 58:50again if you again if you like we talk about
- 58:52the OJ documentary another great documentary
- 58:55the best as we've talked about Yeah, I mean that
- 58:59was kind of yeah That was kind of a city. Yeah,
- 59:03it was it was flimsy, but anything it was a it
- 59:06was a get -back So OJ did he should take some
- 59:09notes from OJ again one. He's gonna have to deal
- 59:11with these 77 cases OJ just couldn't lay low
- 59:17He just couldn't just not be involved in something
- 59:22Did he's gonna have to go live on an island or
- 59:25something? Here's the thing. You know what? I'm
- 59:27so glad you said that can't he ain't gonna do
- 59:30that shit Did you see the documentary? Did you
- 59:34watch all four episodes? I know he's not, and
- 59:37I try not to. There's no way in the world, man.
- 59:40This is consistently him and who he is. Even
- 59:48when he's in a mansion on South Beach, he can't
- 59:55be quiet. He still has to be the life of the
- 59:58party. He was smart enough not to send not to
- 1:00:01go to clubs himself to try to recruit women He
- 1:00:04sent somebody else to do it. But ultimately all
- 1:00:07of them came back to the mansion like it he's
- 1:00:11not gonna be able to turn that part off man,
- 1:00:13like this is who he is as a creature and Yeah,
- 1:00:17I think that's I think ultimately that's going
- 1:00:20to be his demise. I think that's what's gonna
- 1:00:22catch him slipping he I think they mentioned,
- 1:00:25I can't remember who mentioned it, but it's like
- 1:00:29he's, again, we talk about, he hasn't had a hit
- 1:00:32in a while. He was grabbing for straws with this
- 1:00:35newest album that he tried with Lil Rod. There's
- 1:00:41something to be said about, again, no one having
- 1:00:43his back. He looks like a broken man. He's also,
- 1:00:48what is he, in his 50s? Yes. Right? And he's
- 1:00:52trying to... Be a twenty -some year old With
- 1:00:58the women the drinking the drugs the party and
- 1:01:01it's kind of like do like you're in your 50s
- 1:01:04Like, you know, you're it ain't gonna be the
- 1:01:06same like you can't keep you're not gonna be
- 1:01:09able to go back and do that now He's hanging
- 1:01:11he's hanging out with his sons Like, you're getting
- 1:01:16turned up with your sons, and I know a lot of
- 1:01:20really close father -son relationships. Like,
- 1:01:23damn. And they still look up and idolize him.
- 1:01:29And one more thing, and I wrote this down. I'm
- 1:01:31not going to get past this. I didn't like how
- 1:01:37he was saying, well, God told me not to do nothing.
- 1:01:41But he didn't say that y 'all couldn't do it.
- 1:01:43Talking to his sons I'm not gonna do anything.
- 1:01:46I'm gonna sit back here. I'm not gonna do anything
- 1:01:48cuz that's what God told me to do But y 'all
- 1:01:51get on out there and get to work Yeah, what the
- 1:01:55fuck man? What are we doing? Yeah again My last
- 1:02:02thing yeah, yeah, like said his father the father
- 1:02:04figure is he is a way different I I consider
- 1:02:08myself a fun dad But I'm also a dad. I'm also
- 1:02:11a father. There's a line to be drawn. This is
- 1:02:15obviously way out there from any normalcy of
- 1:02:17anybody. The last thing I'm going to say, and
- 1:02:21it's not really about Diddy, but this comes up
- 1:02:26when I think about this. In this world, we look
- 1:02:29at obviously celebrities. We put them on this
- 1:02:32pedestal. We do it with athletes. I talked about
- 1:02:36this earlier. actors, actresses, anybody, obviously
- 1:02:44singers, musicians. If you don't take anything
- 1:02:48else away from this, just know, everybody listening,
- 1:02:54especially if you're young, your idols will let
- 1:02:57you down. Every single time. Every single time.
- 1:03:02They're all flawed human beings at the end of
- 1:03:04the day. And the internet has shattered the perspective
- 1:03:08that celebrities are better than us. They are
- 1:03:10not. Yeah, no, it is. Hopefully that's becoming
- 1:03:14more apparent. You know, like you said, there's
- 1:03:18smoke, there's fire. There's a lot of stuff in
- 1:03:20here alleged in the doc. There's a lot of stuff,
- 1:03:22though. There's little proof of you could take
- 1:03:27it for what it is and then grow with it your
- 1:03:29mind. But yeah, yeah, idols, humans, these people,
- 1:03:33they're just people. And again, we get, you know,
- 1:03:37as you get older, you do start to feel different
- 1:03:40about, uh, you know, celebrity and, uh, you know,
- 1:03:44athletes in anything who's up there, celebrities,
- 1:03:47whatever category. Um, but yeah, they will let
- 1:03:50you down because they're human. Yeah. Uh, nobody's
- 1:03:53perfect. And even though Diddy, you know, has
- 1:03:57a God complex and called, you know, compared
- 1:03:59himself to Jesus Christ, uh, the greatest human
- 1:04:04so yeah even though that's the case yeah they're
- 1:04:08gonna let you down uh you know don't put too
- 1:04:11much stock in them because again they uh everyone
- 1:04:15is imperfect uh i couldn't have said it better
- 1:04:18myself and yeah i i don't want to meet any of
- 1:04:21my heroes i just don't i'll continue to love
- 1:04:26them from afar yeah they they they will let you
- 1:04:29down and uh you learn that as you you grow up
- 1:04:33so Oh, yeah. You good? Yeah. So I'm good, man.
- 1:04:38I think that's a nice strong rap for the fourth
- 1:04:40episode. Yeah. So that was the fourth episode.
- 1:04:44We are finished with that and the whole series.
- 1:04:49Again, this is fanatically speaking. I am Kent,
- 1:04:52the co -host and promoter. I'm Log Off, the Log
- 1:04:54Off legend, hater of social media, co -host and
- 1:04:57producer of the show. Follow us everywhere. Facebook,
- 1:05:03TikTok, Instagram. Tell us what you think. Tell
- 1:05:06us what you think about our opinions. I know
- 1:05:09I said some things I probably shouldn't have
- 1:05:10said, but I believe them. It came from my heart.
- 1:05:13It came from my soul. And if you disagree, that's
- 1:05:17fine. Throw it into comments. I'm not on social
- 1:05:20media. I'm not gonna read it anyway, but it would
- 1:05:22make for great engagement. Maybe somebody else
- 1:05:24agrees with you. Maybe someone disagrees, but
- 1:05:27throw it in the comments, man. I'm curious how
- 1:05:29other people feel and think about it. I do think
- 1:05:32the documentary overall was well done. Not my
- 1:05:35favorite documentary ever, but it put a bow on
- 1:05:39a lot of things and opened my eyes to some things
- 1:05:42that I didn't know existed. So if we're going
- 1:05:45to do this where we give it a rating, Kent, I'd
- 1:05:47give this a strong seven and a half out of 10.
- 1:05:50What do you think? Yeah, I was going to say seven.
- 1:05:55I'll give it a seven and a half. That half is
- 1:05:59more for nostalgia. And people in the faces that
- 1:06:04I wasn't expecting to hear great stories and
- 1:06:07things from, that gives it an extra half. But
- 1:06:10yeah, I'll say seven and a half. You say seven.
- 1:06:12I think that's strong. Yeah. I'm down with it.
- 1:06:18Like I said, yeah, listen to us. For sure, listen
- 1:06:20to us. And then, yeah, on social, yeah, follow
- 1:06:22us, like us, share. tell others about the podcast.
- 1:06:28Again, we mainly do sports, but as we said, we
- 1:06:30like to do movies, we like to do pop culture,
- 1:06:33and music is a part of that, and this documentary
- 1:06:36is a part of that. And I think we enjoy doing
- 1:06:39this. Obviously, we were gonna probably watch
- 1:06:41the documentary anyways. So it would've been
- 1:06:44even better that we were able to watch it and
- 1:06:46then talk about it here on the podcast. But yeah,
- 1:06:49like you said, get out there, listen, like, follow,
- 1:06:52share. all that fun stuff. We are on all podcast
- 1:06:56outlets. So yeah, go for it. Yeah. Check us out.
- 1:07:00Yeah. And I think you said it best, a great way
- 1:07:02to end it. This documentary is absolutely forever
- 1:07:06ingrained in pop culture. It's a part of pop
- 1:07:08culture history. Like this thing will be brought
- 1:07:11up years from now as a documentary on a music
- 1:07:16mogul legend. It's good stuff. Yes. But yeah,
- 1:07:21man, that's it. That's all I got. You good? I'm
- 1:07:24good. That's all right. All right. Let's kill
- 1:07:25it.
