- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Everybody ready for Nelly at Tag September 11th.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: Do you have your tickets yet?
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: I'm I think we might give away a pair later.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Uh definitely gonna give a pair away later for sure.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: Look at that.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Go ahead.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: No, go ahead.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: I was gonna tell you we have new Gen Z terminology that I need everyone to be aware of.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: Oh, wait, wait.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: Before you do that though, we were talking about the woman who is at Dairy Queen and she splits an ice cream, a small ice cream five ways between her and her kids.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: I'm assuming this is either a blizzard or it's gotta be one of their, you know, one of their Sundays.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: And to me, I don't find this cheap because A, the portions are ridiculously huge.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: Not that I'm complaining about that.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: Um, but uh it it is it makes sense to me because any kid will not get through a ton of ice cream.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Well, we have two listeners that want to help you in two other places that's gonna help you with money, and so you don't have a bunch of leftovers that they're probably not gonna eat that you're gonna eat.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Sits in the freezer for weeks.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Go ahead.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: So this one from 1180.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: My grandma and I go out to Outback and we split a fillet and lobster with two baked potatoes, and then I get a wedge salad.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: She barely eats anything.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, this is Zach's mom.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: Zach's mom eats like a frickin' chicken.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: You get to an age, you know.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: We can both eat.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: I'm looking forward to that age.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: I know, right?
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: We both can eat really well for cheaper.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: I'd rather eat fresh twice in the week than have leftovers.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Then this one comes from 6693.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: I have two kids who like chicken and cheeseburgers.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Instead of listening to them argue over who's getting the McChicken and who is getting the burger, I get them the meal deal.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: This is the five for McChicken, six for burger.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: They each get their own drink, fries, nuggets, and half a chicken sandwich, half a burger.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: They call them the mom special.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: I'm telling you, it's the way to do it.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: They order the mom special while on vacation.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: It's the same.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: Zach and I just went to Libs, I don't know, this is about a month ago.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Okay, well, that's a bad example.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: Because if you don't walk out with a ton of food from Libs, you have clearly overeaten to the point you should drive yourself right to earn it.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Well, but what we did was because we first of all, we just weren't looking to spend a lot of money, and we didn't want to bring a bunch of leftovers home because I think we had something else going on.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: So we were like, we know we're not gonna be home for the weekend.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: So what we did was what we did, I know we're we're leaving on Saturday morning again.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Anyway, so what you gotta try sitting at home.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: You would have uh more than that money for your next trip.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: No, I'm just gonna just do dishes in New Orleans.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: That's what's gonna come down to.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: That's what it is.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: But we ended up getting that's really funny.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: We ended up getting the fillet meal, and it comes with, does it come with scampi?
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: We got the filet meal with the fillet and the scampi.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: And then, yeah, and then we both just got a side salad.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: It was more than enough.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: Now you do know at a place like Libs, they're gonna do an extra plate charge for sharing.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: We didn't get that.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: I thought that too.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: What says it on the menu?
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: I we did not.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: Maybe they knew it was you and they're like, well.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: We looked because I thought something definitely says that on the menu.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: I've read that like 10 bucks or something.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because I they know that their portions, specifically to their, they know their portions are inordinate.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: Now, the problem with it is I know also, since we're on the libs thing, there there's one thing I can never not get.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: I I have a standing order, and it's before the actual meal.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: I want the uh calamari and I want the uh shrimp scampi.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Now, here's the here's the thing.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: Could that have been my entire meal?
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: But of course, because I'm there, I can't stop.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: Sometimes, little hack for you, get their ground tenderloin.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: It is way cheaper than uh than some of their like you know, their other big meals.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: You can get it too with premium steaks.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: The big steak, but it tastes just as good.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: There's something about it.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: You can either get it with the red sauce and they they'll melt cheese on it, or you can get it with the peppers and onions, which is another way to do it.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: I like to just taste meat.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: Well, you could probably tell them the whole you know what?
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna leave that be.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: Some things you just let it alone.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: Listen to Scott and Allie.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: Scott and Allie's big three.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: Wow, EV Energy out in Bath.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: Thank God they're taking care of your uh propane fuel, your kerosene, and your home farm business fuel needs.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: They got it all.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Fuel oil, too.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: They are your no delivery fee company.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: You know how usually tropical storms and hurricanes will have real crazy names like Bertha or something like that.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: This one is just so pretty, but not doing not doing great things.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Tropical storm Lala.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: Lala.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, Lala really ripped up a Hawaii bad.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: Lala now, a hurricane, brought over 80 mile per hour winds and heavy rain with 71,000 people experiencing outages.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: And American Airlines says they're going to enhance their seatback screens and more premium seating, too.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: These new 4K screens will be installed on the Boeing and the Airbus planes starting in 2028, with the older planes retrofitted probably by 2030.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Enhancements will include a USB C fast charging port.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: Yes, thank you.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: And Bluetooth audio.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: And authorities have uncovered that Penn State fraternity pledges were involved in cutting and packaging cocaine for a drug ring.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: Go ahead.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: Did you see the head of it turned himself in?
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, yeah.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: At this point, you're not gonna be able to do it.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: You have to.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: I was a little bit surprised though.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: I was because some people wait around and this dude looks so nerdy that you are like, I mean, this is like Walter White.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: It was nerdier beyond nerd.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, this guy had a cocaine ring?
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, he probably isn't getting high on his own supply, but making a ton of money.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Man.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: So the operation was based in two off-campus fraternity houses.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: 14 individuals, including 13 current or former Penn State students, are facing charges.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: Just in case nobody's ever been in a fraternity before.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: Oh, I thought you were gonna say cocaine ring, sorry.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: Horace Rority.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: So pledges are people, they are not in just yet.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: They're going through the process.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: So this is your work.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: This is your hazing.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Is um, could you please cut and package my cocaine?
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: And you ruin somebody's life forever and ever because they just wanted to get it into the fraternity.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: I do hope that guy goes away for a long, long time.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: I do too.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: We also need to talk at some point an update on Hayden Panetary because her mom spoke out for the very first time, although her mom was estranged.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: So I always have a hard time when somebody estranged is speaking out.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: I'm like, you probably haven't talked to your daughter in years.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: Well, I what I want to know is did her daughter end up cutting her off?
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: Because that that is a very hard thing to do.
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: But one of the things that sometimes when you're dealing with an addict of some kind, either in any kind of remission or not, you have to just cut them off.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: Well, also, her mom was the one in like a recent interview, her mom was the one that kept pushing her into being a child star and all those pressures.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: So somebody might have guilt.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: It sounds like they didn't have a great relationship because of that.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'll tell you that Gen Z slang you should be aware of next.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: It's sure it's nothing too crazy, but just be aware they got a new word.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: Well, really, it's aware.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: You act like it's so you have to be aware.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: Well, when you hear it and you're just sometimes this happens.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: Like if you have a Gen Z daughter or you know, even a Gen Alpha.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: Actually, really, I have to get off the Gen Z thing.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: I think it's more of a Gen Alpha thing.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: Because sometimes a kid will say something to you be like, I'm sorry.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: Back that up.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: What is that?
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: I know that word is something different.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: What are you saying?
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: I've got one for you.
