- 0:00Welcome to Pause the World for Peace, our September twenty first annual celebration in
- 0:07Times Square in New York and throughout the world. All right, Tammy,
- 0:13Uh, you're gonna This is Tammy Scarlett. Tammy's with Unify, Who's broadcasting
- 0:19this show. Who's some years ago got two billion views Take it over.
- 0:26That was in twenty sixteen with the un and it's been growing and growing since
- 0:30then. Thank you all for being here. I'm Tammy Scarlett, executive director
- 0:33of Unifi. Proud to partner on this event. Here with me, I
- 0:36have a founder of Crown Sterling, host to the TV series Code x and
- 0:42which is an Amazon Prime and Gaya show, Orion creator and Unifi advisor Robert
- 0:46Grant. Hi. Thank you, Tammy. It's such a privilege to be
- 0:50here. I'm so happy to be here because world peace is such a critical
- 0:55thing for the world right now where we are. And as a creator of
- 0:58Oriyan Messenger, the app that will protect you and your data for your free
- 1:03speech as well as your freedom of thought, I think if we can actually
- 1:07get back to free thought and free speech and have empathy for each other,
- 1:11we'll actually have be able to achieve a free world and a peaceful world,
- 1:15and we're greatly privileged to be here. And I'll turn it back over to
- 1:19Tammy. Thank you so much. We're so honored as Unified a partner with
- 1:23Orian on this and we want we're here to honor the legacy peacekeepers. Real
- 1:27quick, before we do that, I want you to meet Data from the
- 1:30World Academy of Art and Science, who's partnered with the un on the Human
- 1:34Security Initiative. That's right, bird, Thank you Temmy so much. It's
- 1:38really an honor to be here today. Unfortunately, I will not sing,
- 1:42i will not dance like all the incredible artists before me, but I'm here
- 1:46to deliver a very important message, and that is message of our campaign Human
- 1:49Security for All. The message is that here now. It's a crucial timing
- 1:55to realize that human security is not military, it's not nation state borders.
- 2:01Human security starts within every individual. And the only solution how we can solve
- 2:07global burning problems is to forget about the borders, forget about our differences,
- 2:13and to unite and to solve them together, because that is the only way
- 2:16we can solve it. And our campaign Human Security for All by the United
- 2:21Nation Trust Fund and World Academy of Fart and Science is doing exactly that.
- 2:24So please join the moment, join us and become part of this global moment.
- 2:30Thank you. So Dana and Robert are here today so that Unify,
- 2:37along with this beautiful event, can give a moment of honor to the legacy
- 2:40peacekeepers who have come before. And we have a video. We're going to
- 2:44play a few of them for you, one now, one later, so
- 2:46that you can hear from some of the people who've been doing this piece work
- 2:49for years that we are literally standing on their shoulders doing this now. Thank
- 2:54you so much. Hello everyone, This is Ben Boler from Unity Earth,
- 3:04proud partners in Peace Week and proud partners in this incredible event, the International
- 3:09Day of Peace Live Concert from Times Square, the center of the world,
- 3:15going out all around our planet. Congratulations to Paul and all the organizers with
- 3:19this inspiring coming together in such an awesome way on this amazing day, the
- 3:23most widely celebrated and commemorated day for all humanity, the International Day of Peace.
- 3:30What a power, What an incredible uplifting and inspiring or inspiring power when
- 3:36we come together with a common objective, when we come together with a shared
- 3:39intention for peace, peace within peace without peace on earth, peace with earth.
- 3:46Nothing can stop us, despite all the challenges, despite all the obstacles,
- 3:50and there are so many. When we come together, something unstoppable comes
- 3:54into play, and that is the collective will of a human family on a
- 3:59unit admission, one aim, one destiny, one journey, and one intention
- 4:03full peace, in peace and with peace. Thank you for everything you're giving
- 4:09to make this possible. Blessings on this day in Times Square and around the
- 4:13world. As we go through this journey of peace week in the ninety nine
- 4:16days of peace or unity coming to its culmination, nothing can stop us.
- 4:21Thank you, friends, Blessings and gratitude. Thank you. Yes, not
- 4:28a game yearning for and that's what belief speaks to, the yearning for something
- 4:33greater than yourself. Should we do how to be sense aware? If they're
- 4:39aware of themselves, and I'm talking to quite in their mind, they'll be
- 4:46peaceful and ultimate believe peace will only be created by those who are peaceful.
- 4:49Otherwise we have angry peace activists. We take on peace. It takes me
- 4:58back to when I was a kid in Liverpool and we were in the shadow
- 5:02of world War two. I remember once talking to my father about whether people
- 5:10wanted peace, because it seemed like there was so much war and so much
- 5:15stress in the world that maybe I thought people didn't want peace. He said
- 5:19to me, I remember very clearly, he said, people want peace.
- 5:24Everybody. Everyone wants peace. He said, it's the governments, the politicians
- 5:28who want the fights. So the idea of having a peace day where we
- 5:33can set aside all of that and allow barriers to come down, allow people
- 5:40to get in with much needed aid and medical supplies, there's a fantastic idea
- 5:46that I support wholeheartedly. Hi, I'm Dean Warwick and we're standing in front
- 5:58of the incredible Statute of Monte Irving of the Giant. I've been asked to
- 6:02speak to you about love. You're going to be watching people who know about
- 6:09love, who have given love from their hearts, and not only their hearts,
- 6:13but of their actions. I was taught about love when I started singing
- 6:16about it. How David wrote the word is what the world needs now is
- 6:20Love's sweet love, And I totally agree. I was also taught at a
- 6:26very early age by my grandfather, who was a minister, and he taught
- 6:30all of me and my siblings. That love is God, and I truly
- 6:38believe that. So put little love in your hearts. Know that love is
- 6:44God, and show it. We need love around the world and especially now.
- 6:51Hi. My name is Jonathan Granof. I'm the president of the Global
- 6:56Security Institute. I'm coming to you from a meeting at the un it's International
- 7:05Day of Peace Youth event. I have a simple message. Love people,
- 7:12use things, States are things, people are universal. We're one human family.
- 7:18We have to realize that human unity. To protect the climate, to
- 7:23protect the rainforests, to address pandemics, to get rid of nuclear weapons.
- 7:29We've got to move from mutually assured destruction with the weapons to mutually assured security.
- 7:34Is this going to be easy? Is this going to be fast?
- 7:38Absolutely not. But if we don't have the compass point of the principles that
- 7:43we are one human family and the principles that we are here to learn to
- 7:46love one another and use things, and never to love things and use people,
- 7:53but always to love people and use things, will be okay? Will
- 7:58it be easy now? But we're in this together and that's what International Day
- 8:05of Peace is. And last but not least, you're not alone and peace
- 8:16begins with you and me. Thank you. What if peace on Earth was
- 8:24actually possible? What if it was not only possible, but could be achieved
- 8:30by twenty thirty. What if enough people playing a game could tip the world
- 8:35into this reality. We are building a movement of dream keepers, those who
- 8:46believe peace on Earth is possible and are committed to making it a reality,
- 8:52empowered with the seven actions that enabled the First Earth Run to unite the world
- 8:58and create peace on Earth over its eighty six day journey. These seven actions
- 9:03are designed as a global game that will take place between twenty twenty and twenty
- 9:07thirty. The planet's wisdom keepers tell us that when one half of one percent
- 9:16of humanity wholeheartedly believe peace on Earth is possible, that's forty million people.
- 9:22There will be enough coherence of thought and emotion to shift our collective consciousness to
- 9:28make this a reality. With the torch held high, we will experience the
- 9:35world we most want in our hearts coming into existence and witness the dawning of
- 9:41a new future for humankind. Play the game and have fun, make friends,
- 9:48create community, make a difference, celebrate our common humanity. At this
- 9:58critical time when we are becoming more and more divided. This game serves us
- 10:03deep medicine to heal that which separates us. We invite you to be one
- 10:11of the planet's dream keepers and accept this sacred fire as a torch bearer for
- 10:16our future as a species. I'll carry the torch, will you. Hello,
- 10:35my friends, this is David Gershan. Thank you for this recognition of
- 10:41our work over these four decades trying to bring peace on Earth to our beautiful
- 10:46planet. Let me share a little bit of our history. In nineteen eighty
- 10:52six, we passed a torch of peace around the world. A billion people
- 10:58witness the torch circle the Earth. Twenty five million people participated, forty five
- 11:03heads of state in sixty two countries, and wherever the torch of Peace went,
- 11:11the world was united as one and all wars stopped. This inspired in
- 11:18me the belief that we are more able to create the kind of world that
- 11:22we dream of than we give ourselves credit for. And so I was inspired
- 11:28to build on that learning and take the seven strategies that came out of the
- 11:33First Earth Run and create the Peace on Earth. By twenty thirty, game
- 11:39and movement, and it has been launched, and we've now had over fifteen
- 11:46hundred people play. They've taken ten thousand actions. They've transformed their communities into
- 11:54creating what we call peace on Earth zones. We'd love you to join us.
- 12:00We really truly believe that this daring idea, whose time has come,
- 12:05can transform humanity's trajectory on this planet. We can create peace on Earth by
- 12:11the end of this decade, but we need your help. We need you
- 12:16to come and play and create this in your community. If enough of us
- 12:20say yes, then this becomes our reality. And what a reality this can
- 12:28be. So please join us. We'd love to have you be part of
- 12:35this grand adventure. Thank you, Enjoy the rest of your beautiful International Day
- 12:41of Peace, this marvelous moment when we honor humanity's aspiration or peace on Earth.
- 12:58It is wonderful that today we are able to celebrate International Peace Day.
- 13:05Today we need peace more than ever. To be able to create world peace,
- 13:16we must be able to achieve inner peace. I have a vision to
- 13:22establish world piece to inner peace. As we embark on our journey of life,
- 13:31it is very important for all of us to realize that our life is
- 13:37very precious and everyone's life is very precious. Not only the lives of human
- 13:43beings are precious. Lives of animals are precious, lives of our environment is
- 13:50precious. Liers of trees are precious, lives of oceans are precious. So
- 13:58in this it is very important to realize that we must be able to live
- 14:05life in a meaningful way, because life is not a rehearsal. I would
- 14:13like to share with all of you that my vision to establish universal peace destination
- 14:20where everyone will be able to find refuge. This is where I'm establishing Universal
- 14:28Peace Sanctuary in Lumbini. From Lumini, we would like to see that peace
- 14:35is spread all over the world. Each and every human beings, each and
- 14:41every sension beings are able to live freely with finding peace within and being able
- 14:50to realize peace in the world. Thank you for having me here to say
- 14:56a few words, because this is something that I sincerely feel from my heart.
- 15:01Today, there is a possibility for us to even create world economy on
- 15:09the basis of peace. Until now, the wars ravaging all countries and the
- 15:18cities and towns around the world. Now is the time for us to truly
- 15:24seize this moment to actualize peace within and peace in the world. May peace
- 15:31prevail on Earth. May everyone join me, May everyone when you come together
- 15:41to truly celebrate peace as we are embarking on this historic journey to establish peace
- 15:48in the world and establish peace within. Thank you very much. Frankly,
- 15:56I'm Sister Jenny from the Brahma Commis and Washington and the host for America Meditating
- 16:03Radio. I'm asked to share my message of peace for Peace Day of the
- 16:08World, and I still grapple with why in the world, thousands of years
- 16:15later, we haven't understood how powerful peace is. There's still nations fighting with
- 16:21each other. There's still genocide. There are people who no longer feel that
- 16:26they like each other, and they could be living in the same house or
- 16:30right next door. What is it about this valuable commodity called peace that we
- 16:37throw away so easily because of the way you look at me, because of
- 16:42what you said, because of what you didn't say, or because I expected
- 16:48you to do this for me or to behave in this way? What is
- 16:55peace? I believe it's in a awakening in your spirit. There is a
- 17:02knowing that my present and my future will be best if I offer the best
- 17:08of who I am to my relationships to the situation in front of me.
- 17:15Now, the best could vary for different people, but if your best has
- 17:18maintained your inner peace, it's got to be good. The results have to
- 17:22be good. And so two suggestions for peace within you, which I think
- 17:30is really where peace begins. It won't start outside until it has started on
- 17:36the inside. First thing, practice looking at each other as if you were
- 17:41just brand new babies. It has helped me so many times to just look
- 17:48at the innocence of another person and to come from your own innocence. The
- 17:56second practice we're sold to be benefited. Example, I wish you to be
- 18:03benefited in life and that your deepest and purest wishes will come true. And
- 18:14every time I practice this, I feel so at peace with myself. So
- 18:21my message to you for Peace Day in the world, practice being at peace
- 18:26with yourself by emerging your innocence one and secondly, spreading beneficial thoughts for others.
- 18:36Thank you so much, it may peace be with you. Imagine a
- 18:48global community walking into a new future together with a collective attention and a clear
- 19:00tension focused on change. This September, we'll gather to walk for the world,
- 19:11uniting countries and cultures, and a live international walking meditation. When we
- 19:18walk is one mind and one heart, a higher consciousness emerges. We move
- 19:25and sync in cooperation rather than competition. We walk as in with hearts and
- 19:36eyes wide open, releasing the old stories to become an evolved version of ourselves.
- 19:45We embody the future that we want to experience. At the end of
- 19:52every walk, we arrive at a new beginning with a commitment to carry a
- 19:57new vision of the world into the present moment, a moment by moment,
- 20:07day by day. When we change as individuals, we can truly change the
- 20:15world. Each one of us is part of the whole. When you grow,
- 20:27we grow. When you are joy, we are joy. When you
- 20:34are love, we are love. What's possible? We let go of anger
- 20:40and hatred, resentment and judgment, fear and pain. What's possible? We
- 20:48trade fear for compassion, anger for love, division for unity. What's possible
- 20:56of a collective community from around the world comes together for a walking meditation.
- 21:07One walk, one step could change everything. Change. Join us and walk
- 21:21for the world. Big shoes, big change? Wa o the world?
- 21:37Wo? Who am I going to be? What I gonna see? Walk?
- 21:52Greetings? Everyone. I'm so grateful to join you for world peace day
- 21:56to day, coming together to create inner peace for outer peace. And I
- 22:02wanted to take a moment to personally invite all of you to join us for
- 22:04a walk for the world, a global walking meditations create change for the world.
- 22:11I think there is a real energy when we make up our minds to
- 22:15change something about ourselves or our lives. It's when we become aware or conscious
- 22:19of a new possibility or a new way of being, and somehow we see
- 22:23that future that can become a reality for us. And I think we've all
- 22:27done this at least once in our life. And as we set an intention
- 22:32to make that vision or reality, many of us come out of our resting
- 22:36state and we feel the emotion of the future experience before it happens. And
- 22:41I think because we feel it, we can believe it. And the stronger
- 22:45the emotion we feel, the more we remember our intention. And it's when
- 22:49we combine a clear intention with an elevated emotion that we're changing our energy.
- 22:56And it appears that nothing changes in our life until we change our energy.
- 23:00And when we change our energy, our life begins to change. So what
- 23:06if we all came together with a clear intention combined with elevated heart centered emotions
- 23:12in order to share the energy of change, not for us as individuals,
- 23:18but for the world. What if we gather enough people together from all over
- 23:22the world in the spirit of change, can we begin to change the world
- 23:26as a collective network when we change ourselves. There's such profound scientific evidence that
- 23:33shows that it is collective networks of observers or individuals that determine reality. So
- 23:40it's not enough to meditate on peace or change. Is time to demonstrate it.
- 23:45It's our opportunity to show the world what grace, peace, love,
- 23:49kindness, care and compassion looks like. Our present world needs a divine intervention,
- 23:56and that means the world needs you. It's because every individual represents the
- 24:03whole. So when you change, the world changes. And if we can
- 24:07change enough people, we can change the world. And it's important to demonstrate
- 24:11this change every single day in our lives. So I'm excited to invite this
- 24:17community across countries and cultures to walk for the World this Saturday, September twenty
- 24:22third, ten am Eastern Time. Now for anyone who is unfamiliar with walking
- 24:29meditations, it's a very active experience, and this is a guided meditation.
- 24:34It's an opportunity for us to practice becoming the very change we want to see
- 24:38in the world with your eyes open, so you can take that change into
- 24:42your life. The meditation is free of charge. It's about fifty minutes long,
- 24:48and it's available for people of all skill levels, and it's translated into
- 24:52eight different languages. There'll be instructions that'll be given with the meditation recording,
- 24:57so invite your family, your friends, your neighbors, your coworkers. The
- 25:03hope is that we continue to walk as It together as a collective consciousness to
- 25:08create global change, a global coherence with a higher consciousness and energy for all.
- 25:15Join us on September twenty third, and if you're inspired to be part
- 25:18of change, register at walkfurthert World. I'm so grateful for your support for
- 25:25a renewed future and for what is possible. I hope you'll join us.
- 25:29Thank you so much.
