- 0:05Week 7, Education and Truth, has reminded us
- 0:09that the future of America will be shaped not
- 0:12only by what we teach, but by the truth we choose
- 0:17to stand upon. From the foundation of knowledge,
- 0:20to the generational classroom, to the influence
- 0:24education carries across society. to the future
- 0:28battles for truth in a digital world, every hour
- 0:32has pointed us back to the promise of John 8
- 0:35.32. You shall know the truth, and the truth
- 0:39shall make you free. Pastor David's message calls
- 0:44us to restore truth in our homes, in our classrooms,
- 0:47in our churches, and in the hearts of the next
- 0:50generation. Join us next week as America After
- 0:542 .50. The story continues, moves forward into
- 0:58its next chapter. Until then, stay prayerful,
- 1:03stay discerning, and stay committed to the truth
- 1:08that sets us free. This has been Voices of Life.
- 1:14Welcome to Voices of Life, a ministry of the
- 1:17Church for Life. I'm Pastor David, where faith,
- 1:20history, and the future of America meet. We are
- 1:25continuing our 26 -week journey through America's
- 1:27250. The story continues. Each week we explore
- 1:30a different pillar of national renewal, one truth
- 1:34that shapes both our faith and freedom. This
- 1:37week we turn to the subject that touches every
- 1:39generation, every community, and every home.
- 1:43Education and truth. Our scripture is John 8,
- 1:47verse 32. And you shall know the truth, and the
- 1:51truth shall make you free. Those words were spoken
- 1:55by Jesus to the world, searching for meaning.
- 1:59They are still spoken to us today, to a nation
- 2:02that has more information than ever before, but
- 2:05less understanding than ever before. Education
- 2:08is not just about learning facts. It's about
- 2:12discovering truth. And truth is not just about
- 2:17knowing. It is about being set free. In this
- 2:20episode, we will explore how education and truth
- 2:23have shaped America's past, how they are being
- 2:26challenged in present, and how they must be restored
- 2:30for the future. Because when truth governs education,
- 2:34freedom flourishes. But when truth is forgotten,
- 2:38freedom fades. Let's begin. Truth is not an opinion.
- 2:44It is not a trend. It is not a feeling. Truth
- 2:46is a reality as God defines it. In John 8 verse
- 2:5032, Jesus did not say you shall know information.
- 2:54He said you shall know the truth. Truth is personal
- 2:59because it flows from the person of Christ. He
- 3:03said I am the way, the truth, and the life. Education
- 3:07without truth becomes manipulation. Truth without
- 3:11education becomes isolation. But when truth and
- 3:14learning walk together, nations prosper. The
- 3:20foundation of education must be truth. Truth
- 3:23that liberates. Truth that enlightens. And truth
- 3:26that transforms. In scripture, knowledge is never
- 3:30neutral. It is moral. It is spiritual. And it
- 3:33is relational. Proverbs 1 verse 7 says, The fear
- 3:38of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. That
- 3:41means education begins with reverence, not rebellion.
- 3:46True learning leads to humility, not arrogance.
- 3:50It leads to wisdom, not to confusion. And it
- 3:53leads to freedom, not bondage. Knowledge without
- 3:57reverence becomes pride. And pride without truth
- 3:59becomes deception. And deception without correction
- 4:03becomes destruction. Education must begin with
- 4:08the acknowledgement that all truth is God's truth.
- 4:13In early America, education was rooted in scripture.
- 4:17The first schools were founded to teach children
- 4:19to read the Bible. The New England primer taught
- 4:23letters through verses. Harvard's motto was veritas,
- 4:28truth. Knowledge was seen as a gift from God,
- 4:33not a weapon against him. The founders believed
- 4:36that liberty required literacy and literacy required
- 4:39morality. They understood that the truth was
- 4:42the guardian of freedom. John Adams wrote, Liberty
- 4:46cannot be preserved without general knowledge
- 4:49among the people. But he also warned that knowledge
- 4:52without virtue would destroy the republic. Education
- 4:57was never meant to be neutral. It was meant to
- 5:00be noble. Today we face a crisis of truth in
- 5:04education. Information is abundant, but wisdom
- 5:08is scarce. Facts are accessible, but truth is
- 5:12contested. We have confused data with discernment.
- 5:17We have replaced conviction with convenience.
- 5:20We have allowed opinion to masquerade as truth.
- 5:25The result? A generation that knows everything
- 5:29about everything except why anything matters.
- 5:33Education has become a mirror of culture instead
- 5:37of a compass for the conscience. But truth is
- 5:40not determined by conscience. It is revealed
- 5:42by Christ. Education is meant to cultivate wisdom,
- 5:47not merely produce workers. It's meant to form
- 5:50citizens, not consumers. It's meant to reveal
- 5:53truth. and not obscure it. The purpose of education
- 5:57is freedom. Freedom through truth. When Jesus
- 6:01said, the truth shall make you free, he was describing
- 6:05the liberating power of understanding reality
- 6:08as God designed it. Freedom is not the absence
- 6:13of boundaries. It is the presence of truth. Education
- 6:18must teach children not only how to think, but
- 6:22how to discern. Parents are the first teachers.
- 6:26The home is the first classroom. Before a child
- 6:29ever enters school, they are already being educated
- 6:32by example, by conversation, by observation.
- 6:36Parents must teach children how to think, not
- 6:38just what to think. They must teach discernment,
- 6:42not just information. They must teach truth,
- 6:45not just tolerance. When parents abdicate education
- 6:48to culture, culture becomes the curriculum. The
- 6:52family must reclaim its role as the foundation
- 6:55of learning. Teachers are not merely instructors.
- 7:00They are architects of understanding. They shape
- 7:03minds, but they also shape hearts. A teacher
- 7:07who loves truth becomes a light in the classroom.
- 7:09A teacher who fears God becomes a guardian of
- 7:13wisdom. Education is sacred work. It is ministry
- 7:17disguised as a profession. Teachers must see
- 7:21themselves as shepherds of potential, not just
- 7:24managers of performance. The church must reclaim
- 7:28its voice in education, not to control, but to
- 7:33contribute, not to dominate, but to disciple.
- 7:37Christian education is not about isolation, it
- 7:40is about integration. It teaches children to
- 7:44see God's hand in history. his order in science
- 7:47his beauty and art and his justice in law when
- 7:52the church and the classroom walk together truth
- 7:55becomes visible we declare education will return
- 8:02to truth schools will honor the wisdom teachers
- 8:06will teach with integrity parents will lead with
- 8:09courage and children will learn with discernment
- 8:12the spirit of god is restoring education to its
- 8:16original purpose, to reveal truth that sets people
- 8:19free. So we laid a foundation now that is sacred.
- 8:24Truth is liberating and freedom depends on both.
- 8:27This is all part of renewal. Now let's look at
- 8:32open reflection of education before school. Because
- 8:37education does not begin in enrollment, it begins
- 8:39at birth. Long before a child sits in a classroom,
- 8:42they sit in a living room. They long before they
- 8:46hear a lecture, they hear a conversation long
- 8:51before they read a textbook and they read the
- 8:56lives of the people raising them. Every home
- 9:00is a classroom, every parent is a teacher, every
- 9:02moment is a lesson. And every generation is shaped
- 9:05by the generation that came before it. We're
- 9:12going to be talking about generational classroom,
- 9:14the place where truth is passed, identity is
- 9:16formed, and destiny is shaped. But there is a
- 9:21generational disconnect. How did we lose the
- 9:27bridge? Well, today's generational gap is not
- 9:30accidental. It's engineered by culture, accelerated
- 9:33by technology, and deepened by misunderstanding.
- 9:37for the first time in american history children
- 9:39are being raised in a world their parents cannot
- 9:41fully explain and their grandparents cannot fully
- 9:44recognize three forces widened the gap technology
- 9:49outpaced tradition children now learned from
- 9:52screens before they learned from elders algorithms
- 9:55became instructors entertainment became education
- 9:59culture replaced conviction culture tells youth
- 10:05to reject tradition, and elders to retire their
- 10:09influence. It celebrates independence, but discourages
- 10:12it. And busyness replaced togetherness. Families
- 10:15became overscheduled, overcommitted, and underconnected.
- 10:19We have time for everything, except each other.
- 10:23The result, generations that love each other
- 10:26deeply, but understand each other poorly. But
- 10:30scripture offers a remedy. Malachi 4 verse 6
- 10:34declares that God will turn the hearts of the
- 10:38fathers to children and the hearts of children
- 10:41to fathers. This is not nostalgia. This is renewal.
- 10:46Before there were classrooms, there were families.
- 10:48Before there were teachers, there were parents.
- 10:51Before there were curriculums, there were conversations.
- 10:54The family is the first school. The dining table
- 10:57is the first desk. And the home is the first
- 11:00campus. Children learn how to speak by listening
- 11:04to parents, how to love by watching relationships,
- 11:07how to trust by experiencing consistency, how
- 11:11to believe by seeing faith lived out. Education
- 11:15is not merely confined to buildings, it is lived
- 11:17in daily life. When families reclaim their role
- 11:22as educators, truth becomes natural, wisdom becomes
- 11:25normal, and learning becomes lifelong. There
- 11:32is a great power in example. Let's just call
- 11:37it the truth demonstrated. Children imitate what
- 11:41they observe. They learn truth by watching it
- 11:45lived. A parent's life is the most persuasive
- 11:49curriculum. A grandparent's story is the most
- 11:51persuasive textbook. A mentor's example is the
- 11:57most enduring lesson. Truth must... be demonstrated
- 12:01not just declared when parents model honesty
- 12:05children learn integrity when teachers model
- 12:08humility students learn respect when leaders
- 12:11model accountability citizens learn responsibility
- 12:14example is education in motion the generational
- 12:19classroom is built not on lectures but on lives
- 12:22now we move on to the generational blessing and
- 12:26passing the torch because In Psalm 145 verse
- 12:304 says, One generation shall praise your works
- 12:33to another. This is the rhythm of renewal. It
- 12:36is the passing of the torch. It is the handing
- 12:39down of faith, values, stories, and identity.
- 12:42Generational blessings is not automatic. It's
- 12:45intentional. It requires time, conversation,
- 12:49prayer example, and consistency presence. When
- 12:54generations worship together, truth becomes inheritance.
- 12:58When generations pray together, faith becomes
- 13:00legacy. When generations serve together, purpose
- 13:03becomes destiny. The generational blessing is
- 13:08the heartbeat of John 8, verse 32. Truth is not
- 13:12only learned, it is lived, shared, and passed
- 13:14down. We've all heard of mentors. Well, there
- 13:18is a mentorship that you as parents do. Mentorship
- 13:22is education through relationship. It is the
- 13:24truth taught through trust. It is wisdom transferred
- 13:28through witness. Every believer is called to
- 13:31be both student and teacher. Learning from those
- 13:35ahead and guiding those behind. Mentorship builds
- 13:40bridges that textbooks cannot. It teaches how
- 13:44to navigate life, how to discern truth, how to
- 13:47endure trials, how to walk in wisdom, and how
- 13:51to grow in faith. Mentorship is the generational
- 13:54classroom at its best. It is the living chain
- 13:57that connects past, present, and future. Let's
- 14:03think back about our grandparents again, our
- 14:05great -grandparents, and the role of elders.
- 14:07The living library. They are living books of
- 14:11knowledge. These elders of a living library of
- 14:15truth, they carry stories that textbooks can't
- 14:18tell you. They carry scars that sermons cannot
- 14:22explain. They carry wisdom. that Google cannot
- 14:25provide. In America's early centuries, elders
- 14:29were central to family life. They lived nearby,
- 14:31shared meals, told stories, and reinforced values.
- 14:34Today, many elders feel sidelined, treated as
- 14:38optional instead of essential. But scripture
- 14:41paints a different picture. Job 12 verse 12 says,
- 14:45Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in
- 14:51lengths of days. Elders are not relics. They
- 14:55are resources. They are bridges between memory
- 14:57and mission. They remind families where they
- 15:01came from so they can understand where they're
- 15:03going. When elders speak, generations listen,
- 15:07and destinies shift. And this all comes back
- 15:12to the family table. Because the family table
- 15:15is more than furniture. It is fellowship. It
- 15:18is where generations meet, where gratitude is
- 15:21spoken, and where stories... are shared and where
- 15:24truth is passed down in america's early years
- 15:27the table was the center of family life meals
- 15:29were moments of connection conversation and community
- 15:32today many families eat separately quickly or
- 15:35silently but renewal begins when families reclaim
- 15:38the table when parents ask questions when children
- 15:42share their hearts when grandparents tell stories
- 15:45and when scripture becomes part of the conversation
- 15:47the table is where generations learn to understand
- 15:50each other it is where truth becomes tradition.
- 15:54We declare generations will reconnect. Families
- 15:58will teach truth. Churches will disciple. Communities
- 16:02will learn together. And education will once
- 16:04again serve freedom. The Spirit of God is turning
- 16:09hearts again. He is restoring conversations.
- 16:12He is healing misunderstandings. He's rebuilding
- 16:14trust. He's renewing the connection. generational
- 16:18divide will not define America's future the generational
- 16:22bridge will so in this segment we talked about
- 16:28truth is generational it must be taught relationally
- 16:35lived consistently and passed intentionally the
- 16:37future of America after 250 depends on families
- 16:40who build bridges strong enough to carry a truth
- 16:43from one generation to the other So let's do
- 16:50a little reflection here. Education is not simply
- 16:54a personal experience. It is a national force.
- 16:57It shapes culture. It shapes conscience. It shapes
- 17:01character. It shapes the future. Every generation
- 17:03inherits the world that the previous generation
- 17:07was educated to build. If education is grounded
- 17:10in truth, society becomes stable. If education
- 17:12is grounded in ideology, society becomes fragile.
- 17:16And our society in the United States today is
- 17:19extremely fragile. We've had multi -generations
- 17:23of ideological professors and teachers putting
- 17:29their thoughts as truth, putting their history
- 17:34as fact, and that's what our children have learned.
- 17:39And again, what happens? We're very impressionable
- 17:41at young ages. We imitate. We believe. So if
- 17:47education is grounded in deception, society becomes
- 17:49dangerous. And we have a very dangerous society
- 17:53today. We have people that go out, commit acts
- 17:55of violence, make terrible threats, care nothing
- 18:00for our country, care nothing of the people in
- 18:04the country. And it is the people that make up
- 18:07this country. So we're going to explore how education
- 18:13influences the world around us. and how truth
- 18:16must govern that influence if America, after
- 18:19250, is to remain free. The purpose of education
- 18:24is meant to cultivate wisdom, not merely to produce
- 18:28workers. It's meant to form citizens. Citizens.
- 18:32That means you have a responsibility to yourself,
- 18:34to other citizens, and the country as a whole,
- 18:37which is made up of the citizens. And we're not
- 18:41consumers. It's meant to reveal truth, not obscure
- 18:44it. The purpose of education is freedom, freedom
- 18:47through truth. When Jesus said, you shall know
- 18:50the truth and the truth shall make you free,
- 18:53he was describing the liberating power of understanding
- 18:56reality as God designed it. Freedom is not the
- 19:01absence of boundaries. It is the presence of
- 19:04truth. Society teaches truth. A society that
- 19:10teaches truth produces citizens who can think
- 19:13clearly. discern wisely, and act righteously.
- 19:17A society that teaches confusion produces citizens
- 19:21who are easily manipulated, easily divided, and
- 19:26easily deceived. That's the weak -minded that
- 19:29buy all this stuff going on in culture today,
- 19:33that everything is free, everything is convenient,
- 19:38everything is handed to you. That's not the way
- 19:40the world works. I hate to say this, but this
- 19:43all started when in sports, 20, 30 years ago,
- 19:48there were some people that were upset that their
- 19:51children didn't get first place or second place
- 19:54or third place. They didn't get awards. So now
- 19:55everybody got an award for participation. What
- 19:59did that teach them? It teach them, oh, I just
- 20:03got to show up and I get an award no matter what.
- 20:06It doesn't give them the initiative. to try and
- 20:12strive to be better, to improve themselves. It's
- 20:16not so much about the sport itself. It's about
- 20:18them. It's about improving their mind, their
- 20:21wisdom. Where do they go? So education must serve
- 20:26freedom, and freedom must serve truth. Now, let's
- 20:29not forget about our wonderful media. Now, we
- 20:32have all these electronic devices. We see news,
- 20:34podcasts, all kinds of stuff, day in, day out,
- 20:3724 -7. The media has become the new classroom.
- 20:41Screens teach more than schools. Algorithms shape
- 20:45more minds than teachers, and entertainment influences
- 20:47more values than textbook. Children are discipled
- 20:52by what they consume. Their worldview is shaped
- 20:55by what they watch. Their identity is influenced
- 20:59by what they hear. Media is powerful, but families...
- 21:04are stronger truth must be louder than trends
- 21:07wisdom must be stronger than entertainment discernment
- 21:11must be deeper than distraction families must
- 21:15reclaim the narrative they must teach their children
- 21:19how to filter content how to recognize deception
- 21:22how to guard against their hearts being corrupted
- 21:27and how to anchor your identity in christ Media
- 21:32is a tool. It's a wonderful tool. But the truth
- 21:36is a foundation. Everybody today has been talking
- 21:41about government. Government should do this.
- 21:44Government should do that. Government should
- 21:46control our lives. Or at least run our lives.
- 21:52And that's not true. Government can support education,
- 21:56but it cannot define truth. It can fund schools,
- 21:59but it cannot... form souls it can regulate systems
- 22:03but it can't raise children truth is not legislated
- 22:08it is revealed a nation's strength is measured
- 22:12not by its policies but by its principles in
- 22:15america's early centuries government assumed
- 22:17families would teach values today government
- 22:20often tries to fill the gaps left by broken homes
- 22:23i mean they tried to fill in for the parent,
- 22:27try to do different things. They have early education.
- 22:31And one of the big things these days is children
- 22:34going hungry because parents don't provide them
- 22:38a good hot meal at lunch. So they even started
- 22:42having Saturday lunches open at schools, even
- 22:45though the school was closed. Well, the parent
- 22:48abdicated their responsibility. If you didn't
- 22:50want to be a parent, if you couldn't afford to
- 22:52be a parent, why did you become a parent? And
- 22:56if you cannot take care of your child, you cannot
- 22:59raise them the way the child needs the truth,
- 23:02the support, all the things that go along with
- 23:06that, you know, maybe you need to think about
- 23:10abdicating your responsibility there and giving
- 23:12your child up for adoption to some good parents
- 23:14that will take care of your child. Scripture
- 23:17tells us, and it's clear, the responsibility
- 23:21of raising children belongs to parents, not politicians.
- 23:25Government can protect families, but it cannot
- 23:27replace them. Education must be guided by truth,
- 23:31not by political pressure. So you the parent
- 23:35have that responsibility, and if you can't fulfill
- 23:37it, you need to find somebody that can. Your
- 23:40child deserves better. They didn't have a choice
- 23:44coming into this world. You made that choice
- 23:46for them. Schools are not factory formation centers.
- 23:51shape of how children think, how they reason,
- 23:54how they interpret the world, and how they understand
- 23:56truth. Schools must teach children how to evaluate
- 23:59ideas, how to question assumptions, how to recognize
- 24:04manipulation, how to pursue wisdom. I mean, our
- 24:09schools today don't even really teach them the
- 24:12reading, writing, arithmetic, the history. It's
- 24:14all about electives. It's all about special classes
- 24:17and the basics. In a lot of cases, disappeared.
- 24:22And that's why so many children can't read or
- 24:24write. And I'm not talking about sloppy handwriting.
- 24:26They just can't write. And they don't even teach
- 24:28cursive in schools anymore. It's all print. So
- 24:31schools must become guardians of understanding,
- 24:33not distributors of ideology. If a teacher has
- 24:38some thoughts that they personally believe, they
- 24:40need to keep it to themselves. The same for college
- 24:42professors. It is not their place to put their
- 24:46ideology on your child. or any of the other children
- 24:50now if they have their own children they can
- 24:52raise them any which way they feel is is best
- 24:54short of neglecting them or or doing something
- 24:57harmful to them so when schools aren't a truth
- 25:01students grow in clarity when schools ignore
- 25:04truth students grow in confusion truth must be
- 25:07a curriculum and children are always looking
- 25:11for belonging they're always looking for that
- 25:13family tie if not They find it elsewhere, whether
- 25:17it's in the schools, whether it's in a gang,
- 25:19it's somewhere else. They need that recognition.
- 25:23They need that identity. They need to feel part
- 25:27of something. The truth helps them do that. Of
- 25:31course, there's a lot of truths in this world
- 25:32that are not necessarily the real thing. But
- 25:34they don't know the difference unless you taught
- 25:37them how to discern the difference. Now, we here
- 25:40at the church, we have a role of conscience of
- 25:44culture. the church must be the conscience of
- 25:47culture because it speaks the truth in love it
- 25:51teaches wisdom with grace and models integrity
- 25:55with courage when the church educates society
- 25:58elevates the church must teach biblical literacy
- 26:02moral clarity spiritual discernment historical
- 26:06understanding and cultural awareness it must
- 26:10equip families to navigate a world of competing
- 26:12voices with confidence and conviction the church
- 26:18must not retreat from education it must reclaim
- 26:20its influence truth is the church's calling education
- 26:25is the church's opportunity and freedom is the
- 26:27church's responsibility and that's why we here
- 26:30at the voices of life our ministry of the church
- 26:33for life and we do more than just a sunday podcast
- 26:37we do a lot of historical podcasts throughout
- 26:41The week, in most cases. We go back in history.
- 26:44What were some of the turning points? What are
- 26:46the special days and why? We go back into history.
- 26:50So we do a lot of historical things. Because,
- 26:52you know, in school, some schools don't teach
- 26:55history at all. Some schools don't even teach
- 26:59social studies the way they used to. Again, going
- 27:02back to ideologies. And it depends on where you
- 27:05live, where the school is, who runs the school,
- 27:09who are the teachers in the school. That's who
- 27:12influences your children. Something to think
- 27:15about. And while we're thinking about that, let's
- 27:17broaden this to the role of the community. One
- 27:21of the politicians once said, you know, it takes
- 27:24a village. It takes a community. The community
- 27:28needs to be on board. It's all together. Because
- 27:32education is not... Just the job of schools alone
- 27:35is the responsibility of communities. Communities
- 27:38must create environments where truth is honored,
- 27:41wisdom is valued, and learning is celebrated.
- 27:44Libraries, churches, mentors, coaches, neighbors
- 27:48all contribute to the educational ecosystem.
- 27:51When communities invest in truth, children grow
- 27:54in strength. When communities neglect truth,
- 27:57children grow in confusion. Education is a shared
- 28:01calling and the truth is a shared foundation.
- 28:06The danger of ideology when education becomes
- 28:09indoctrination. This is what we've been leading
- 28:12to. Education becomes dangerous when it stops
- 28:15teaching children how to think and starts teaching
- 28:17them what to think. Ideology replaces inquiry.
- 28:23Narrative replaces knowledge and emotion replaces
- 28:26reason. Opinion. replaces truth and that is the
- 28:31truth that your children hear is opinion not
- 28:35the real truth when ideology governs education
- 28:38students become followers of culture instead
- 28:43of seekers of truth but jesus said you shall
- 28:46know the truth truth is not ideological it is
- 28:51eternal education must liberate minds not capture
- 28:56them do a prophetic declaration on truth will
- 28:59rise again we declare truth will rise again in
- 29:03education schools will honor wisdom teachers
- 29:06will teach with integrity parents will lead with
- 29:09courage children churches will disciple with
- 29:13clarity communities will support with unity and
- 29:18children will learn with discernment the spirit
- 29:20of god is restoring education to its original
- 29:23purpose to reveal truth that sets people free
- 29:27Truth will not be silenced. Truth will not be
- 29:30hidden. And truth will not be replaced. Truth
- 29:32will rise. Education is not isolated. It is influential.
- 29:38It shapes culture, defines values, guides conscience,
- 29:43and determines destiny. When education serves
- 29:46the truth, society flourishes. The education
- 29:48abandons the truth, society fractures. The future
- 29:52of America after 250 depends on education anchored
- 29:55in truth and truth anchored in Christ. This is
- 29:58why we do these podcasts. So let's get into our
- 30:02last segment here and we'll start off with some
- 30:06reflection on the road ahead. Education is always
- 30:11moving forward. It never stands still. It never
- 30:13pauses. It never freezes. Every generation inherits
- 30:16a new world. New technology, new pressures, new
- 30:20questions, new opportunities. And the future
- 30:23of America after 250 will be shaped by the kind
- 30:27of education we choose to build today. So we're
- 30:31going to look beyond the present moment and look
- 30:34into the horizon of the next century. A future
- 30:36where truth must remain the anchor in a world
- 30:39of constant change. Let's look at the future
- 30:43family classroom and the truth in... the digital
- 30:47world technology will continue to accelerate
- 30:49artificial intelligence is here they may try
- 30:53to slow it down some but it is here automation
- 30:56virtual reality augmented reality and digital
- 30:59ecosystems will reshape how families live work
- 31:03learn and communicate but technology cannot replace
- 31:07relationship it cannot substitute for presence
- 31:10it cannot imitate compassion and it cannot replicate
- 31:14covenant The future family must be intentional,
- 31:18intentional about time, intentional about conversation,
- 31:21intentional about boundaries, intentional about
- 31:25digital habits. Children will grow up in a world
- 31:28where information is instant, but truth is contested.
- 31:33Families must teach children how to navigate
- 31:36digital spaces with discernment, how to recognize
- 31:38deception, how to guard their hearts, and how
- 31:41to anchor their identity. Technology must serve
- 31:45the family, not swallow it. I mean, what's going
- 31:49on today, there's these lawsuits, class action
- 31:51lawsuits, where they're saying that technology
- 31:54companies made their technology addictive to
- 31:57their kids. Well, you know what the real problem
- 31:59was? The parents gave them electronic devices,
- 32:03the parents didn't monitor the electronic devices,
- 32:06and the parents gave them no schedule on how
- 32:09much they could use those electronic devices.
- 32:12So the parents want to beat up these technology
- 32:14companies. I don't see that. I see bad parenting.
- 32:19I see poor parenting. I see neglect. They need
- 32:23to look at themselves in the mirror. Because
- 32:26when you're involved in what your children are
- 32:28doing, we used to always get involved. We got
- 32:30involved in sports, right? We got involved in
- 32:32plays at school. Why are we not involved in their
- 32:35electronic work that they're doing on their laptops,
- 32:38PCs, phones, whatever it is? Why are we not involved
- 32:42in that? We should be. And there's even technology
- 32:46to help parents see what their children are doing
- 32:50or restrict to what their children can do. But
- 32:54you have to take that first step. You have to
- 32:56take an active interest in what your child's
- 32:57doing and not just say, oh good, they're keeping
- 32:59themselves occupied. That's not it. That's not
- 33:01what this is about. So let's look at the future
- 33:04classroom. Learning beyond walls. The classroom
- 33:07of the future will not be limited by walls. Learning
- 33:09happens everywhere in homes, communities, digital
- 33:12spaces, virtual environments, and collaborative
- 33:14networks. We have beyond regular public and private
- 33:18schools. We have charter schools now. We have
- 33:19home schools. There's all kinds of schools. But
- 33:23the danger of limitless learning is directionless
- 33:26learning. Education must remain anchored in truth
- 33:29even as it expands in format. When was the last
- 33:32time you... went through your children's books
- 33:35to see what the school is teaching your children
- 33:39at least look at the topics look at the chapters
- 33:41does it seem familiar or does it seem foreign
- 33:45to you that's how you know whether the school
- 33:49is teaching the truth or ideology but again that's
- 33:55a parent responsibility the future classroom
- 33:58must teach how to think critically, how to evaluate
- 34:02information, how to discern motives, how to recognize
- 34:04manipulation, how to pursue wisdom. Future classroom
- 34:08must be a place where truth is not only taught,
- 34:12but treasured and valued. The future of truth
- 34:16is a battleground. Truth will be one of the greatest
- 34:20battlegrounds of the next century. Culture will
- 34:23continue to redefine truth. Technology will continue
- 34:26to distort truth. Media will continue to manipulate
- 34:29the truth, and politics continue to weaponize
- 34:32truth. But Jesus said, you shall know the truth.
- 34:36Truth is not ideological, it is eternal. Truth
- 34:39is not invented, it is revealed. Truth is not
- 34:42subjective, it is sovereign. The future of education
- 34:45must be built on the unchanging truth of God's
- 34:48word. Truth must be the compass in a world of
- 34:52competing voices. Now we come to a very critical
- 34:56part. of our children's future. The future of
- 35:02identity. They have to know who they are. Identity
- 35:06will be one of the most contested subjects in
- 35:09the next century. Children will grow up in a
- 35:10world where identity is debated, redefined, reconstructed.
- 35:15Families must teach children who they are. Not
- 35:18because culture tells them, because God tells
- 35:21them. They must know they are created with purpose.
- 35:27designed with intention and love with eternity.
- 35:30Identity is not discovered. It is received. It
- 35:33is not invented. It is inherited from the Creator.
- 35:36Education must teach identity as God defines
- 35:41it. So many times in schools today, they try
- 35:44to teach them ideological things, whether it's
- 35:48in sexuality, it's about gender, all these things
- 35:52that we never got taught in school because It
- 35:56wasn't truth. It was ideology. And back 50 years
- 36:00ago, truth mattered. At least the school system
- 36:03I went to. Truth made a difference. We had very
- 36:07conscientious teachers, conscientious administrative
- 36:10staff. Now, I'm not saying we didn't come across
- 36:13some of that, at least canon one every now and
- 36:15then, that wanted to push a little ideology.
- 36:17But because the rest of the teachers throughout
- 36:22the time were so solid in truth. I was able to
- 36:26discern the difference. Today, they're starting
- 36:29in second or third grade teaching them things
- 36:31that make no sense to teach them because your
- 36:34children don't have the maturity yet to deal
- 36:37with it. They may understand in the general purpose,
- 36:41but the deep down harm that that ideology is
- 36:45doing to their mind, and it's kind of like sometimes
- 36:48people say, hey, I planted a seed in somebody's
- 36:50mind, I mentioned something to them. That's exactly,
- 36:53it starts with that. And then it comes back up,
- 36:56and then they start wondering, or some of their
- 36:57friends start talking about it. They should be
- 36:59talking to you. They say, hey, you know what,
- 37:01Mom, Dad, this is what they taught me on school
- 37:03day, and you need to be the interpreter of that
- 37:07information to set it straight. So the future
- 37:09calling is preparing children for purpose. The
- 37:12future family must prepare children not for careers,
- 37:16but for callings. A career is what you do, a
- 37:19calling is what you do. why you exist. Education
- 37:22must help children discover their gifts, their
- 37:24passions, their strengths, and their spiritual
- 37:27purpose. The next generation must be trained
- 37:30to serve, to lead, to innovate, to create, to
- 37:33heal, to build, and to bless. Proverbs 22 verse
- 37:396 is not about forcing a child into a path. It
- 37:43is about guiding them into the path God designed
- 37:46for them. The future classroom must be a launching
- 37:50pad for destiny. And when we're looking at futures,
- 37:53we have to look at the future of communities,
- 37:56rebuilding that social trust. America after 250
- 37:59will face a crisis of trust, trust in institutions,
- 38:03trust in leadership, trust in systems, trust
- 38:05in one another. Education will play a central
- 38:08role in rebuilding that trust. Trust is learned
- 38:11at home. Learn trust through consistency, through
- 38:16honesty, through compassion, and through forgiveness.
- 38:20When families model trust, communities heal.
- 38:23When schools teach integrity, society strengthens.
- 38:29And when churches preach truth, culture shifts.
- 38:33Education must rebuild trust by restoring truth.
- 38:37Which brings us to the culture that's trying
- 38:39to do this manipulation, all this pressure. But
- 38:43we have to stand firm without growing hard. So
- 38:47the future will bring cultural pressure, pressure
- 38:49to conform, pressure to compromise, pressure
- 38:52to remain silent, pressure to abandon truth.
- 38:55Education must teach children how to stand firm
- 38:58without growing hard. Strength without bitterness,
- 39:01conviction without cruelty, boldness without
- 39:03arrogance, and truth without honesty. The future
- 39:06classroom must raise children who can stand in
- 39:08truth and walk in love. The balance will be essential
- 39:11for the next century. Here's our prophetic declaration
- 39:14and truth will lead into the future. We declare
- 39:16truth will rise in education. Families will teach
- 39:20wisdom. Schools will honor integrity. Churches
- 39:23will disciple with clarity. Communities will
- 39:26support with unity. And children will walk in
- 39:30discernment. The Spirit of God is preparing a
- 39:33generation who will think clearly, live wisely,
- 39:36and stand firmly in the truth of Christ. Truth
- 39:40will not be silenced. Truth will not be hidden.
- 39:42Truth will not be replaced. Truth will lead the
- 39:46future. And remember, the future begins with
- 39:50truth. The truth is our future for America. And
- 39:55it has to be... everywhere. It has to be in our
- 39:59classrooms, in our homes, in our communities.
- 40:02Education must prepare children for a world of
- 40:04rapid change without losing the anchor of eternal
- 40:07truth. Truth must be the foundation. Truth must
- 40:10be a compass. Truth must be their inheritance.
- 40:14Because Jesus said, you shall know the truth
- 40:17and the truth shall make you free. And freedom
- 40:20is the future God intended for America after
- 40:24250. Heavenly Father, as we close this episode
- 40:28of Voices of Life, we pause to thank you for
- 40:32the gift of truth and the calling to teach it.
- 40:36Lord, you are the author of wisdom, the source
- 40:39of understanding, and a teacher of every heart.
- 40:42You have shown us that education without truth
- 40:44is empty, but truth with education is freedom.
- 40:48We ask you now, bless every parent, every teacher,
- 40:52every student, every leader. listening today
- 40:55let your spirit guide their learning guard their
- 41:00hearts and ground their minds in your world may
- 41:04our homes become classrooms of grace our schools
- 41:07become sanctuaries of wisdom and our nation become
- 41:11a place where truth is honored and freedom is
- 41:14preserved help us to raise a generation that
- 41:17knows you loves you and walks in your truth.
- 41:22And as we look toward the future, remind us that
- 41:27truth is not changing. It is eternal. It is not
- 41:30hidden. It is revealed, and it is not fragile.
- 41:32It is victorious. We thank you, Lord, for the
- 41:36promise of John 8, verse 32, that we shall know
- 41:41the truth, and the truth shall make us free.
- 41:45In Jesus' name, amen. Thank you for joining us
- 41:49on Voices of Life, a ministry of the Church for
- 41:51Life. I'm Pastor David. God bless you, and God
- 41:55bless the United States of America. You've been
- 41:58listening to Voices of Life, today's episode.
- 42:03Week 7, Education and Truth, has reminded us
- 42:07that the future of America will be shaped not
- 42:10only by what we teach, but by the truth we choose
- 42:14to stand upon. From the foundation of knowledge
- 42:18to the generational classroom, to the influence
- 42:22education carries across society, to the future
- 42:26battles for truth in a digital world, every hour
- 42:30has pointed us back to the promise of John 8
- 42:33.32. You shall know the truth, and the truth
- 42:37shall make you free. Pastor David's message calls
- 42:42us to restore truth in our homes, in our classrooms,
- 42:45in our churches, and in the hearts of the next
- 42:48generation. Join us next week as America After
- 42:52250. The story continues, moves forward into
- 42:56its next chapter. Until then, stay prayerful,
- 43:01stay discerning, and stay committed to the truth
- 43:06that sets us free. This has been Voices of Life.
