- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 0:03Speaker 3: Happy Friday, friends. Thank you so much for starting it
- 0:06Speaker 3: with us. Let's make it a great day. Ricky Sanchez
- 0:08Speaker 3: has those three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 0:11Speaker 4: The in-game radio stations and podcasts for Grand Theft Auto
- 0:14Speaker 4: 6 have been announced.
- 0:16Speaker 5: Bad Bunny, my Benito.
- 0:19Speaker 4: And Puerto Rican singer right now have a show on Cocoteo,
- 0:24Speaker 4: which is going to be a station all for Latin music.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Backcountry Radio is going to have hosts like Morgan Wallen,
- 0:31Speaker 4: Lana Del Rey, and Jeremy Dufresne, which is her husband.
- 0:35Speaker 6: Yeah, that's weird.
- 0:36Speaker 5: Yeah, really kind of a fun ad there.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Four other stations are going to involve a variety of
- 0:42Speaker 4: different people. Trick Daddy and Trina are going to be
- 0:45Speaker 4: on the Dirty South Classic station. Burna Boy is going
- 0:48Speaker 4: to be on the Afro Bank station. There is a
- 0:51Speaker 4: pop station that's going to have Robin and model actress
- 0:55Speaker 4: Alex Kansani is going to be the people who will
- 0:59Speaker 4: be hosting on there. And there's going to be a
- 1:02Speaker 4: heavy metal station as well. So they're going to have
- 1:04Speaker 4: a little bit of everything for everyone. Hawker's Asian Street Food.
- 1:08Speaker 5: Is now open in Franklin. You can find the new
- 1:11Speaker 5: spot at McEwen Northside.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Some highlights are their chili crisp wontons and their bao buns.
- 1:17Speaker 4: They also offer both cocktails and mocktails. So whichever is
- 1:20Speaker 4: your vibe, they have it all for you. And there's
- 1:23Speaker 4: a new survey that found one in five young adults
- 1:25Speaker 4: leave home without knowing how to use a washing machine.
- 1:29Speaker 4: Nearly 70% of people admitted that doing laundry is something
- 1:34Speaker 4: that they.
- 1:34Speaker 5: Avoid after moving out.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Some of those who took surveys said that they wore
- 1:39Speaker 4: every item in the wardrobe before finally washing clothes.
- 1:42Speaker 5: And then others said.
- 1:43Speaker 4: They tried shortcuts like spraying their outfits with deodorant or
- 1:46Speaker 4: body spray to make them.
- 1:47Speaker 5: Appear to be fresh.
- 1:50Speaker 4: More than 90% of young adults reported that laundry disasters
- 1:53Speaker 4: have happened to them, from leaving stuff in their pockets
- 1:56Speaker 4: to turning whites into pinks. The survey found that young
- 1:59Speaker 4: adults also regularly call home for any kind of help
- 2:03Speaker 4: with cooking, chores, and budgeting.
- 2:06Speaker 2: So, you know.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Maybe lean into teaching your kids a little bit more
- 2:10Speaker 4: before they leave college. If you can, you know, take
- 2:13Speaker 4: that time. Because it seems like a lot of them
- 2:15Speaker 4: are struggling. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three
- 2:17Speaker 4: things you need to know.
- 2:18Speaker 6: Thank you very much, Ricky. It's really not that hard.
- 2:21Speaker 3: It's pretty easy to separate things and put them in.
- 2:23Speaker 6: For sure.
- 2:24Speaker 5: I mean, I was taught how to do laundry very young.
- 2:27Speaker 5: And it was one of those things that my dad
- 2:28Speaker 5: was like, you're going to learn how to do this now.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Although I will say.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Plenty of things I still call my parents for at
- 2:34Speaker 4: the age of 34, just for a little advice on.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Things, you know?
- 2:37Speaker 6: Do they still make doctor's appointments for you?
- 2:39Speaker 5: No, not like that.
- 2:40Speaker 6: Don't you wish they did, though? Don't you wish they did?
- 2:42Speaker 5: I kind of do. Can you just handle all of
- 2:46Speaker 5: this for me? Thanks so much.
- 2:47Speaker 6: Well, thank you, Ricky.
- 2:49Speaker 3: We've got these Jingle Ball tickets coming up in just
- 2:51Speaker 3: a few minutes, guys.
- 2:52Speaker 6: We've had these all week for the first caller. It's
- 2:54Speaker 6: a huge one. They're on the way.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 2:57Speaker 5: It's Friday. We're pumped for the weekend.
- 3:00Speaker 4: We're getting some rain on Saturday, which is good for us.
- 3:03Speaker 5: This is a good thing. Gerardo in Nashville, what do
- 3:06Speaker 5: you have planned this weekend? Oh, nothing much.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Just work.
- 3:10Speaker 6: Oh, work all weekend. What do you do, Gerardo?
- 3:12Speaker 5: I work at Amazon.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 3:16Speaker 5: Specifically, he thanks you.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Kevin may not thank you because he gets a lot
- 3:21Speaker 4: of packages on his doorstep because of his wife.
- 3:24Speaker 5: And I don't know that he's happy about.
- 3:26Speaker 6: That every time. Delete our address out of your system, Gerardo.
- 3:28Speaker 4: So you're going to be working in the rain. Do
- 3:33Speaker 4: you deliver or are you in the warehouse?
- 3:36Speaker 5: I'm in the warehouse.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Okay, okay. I, hey, thanks to everybody who works outside
- 3:40Speaker 4: because the rain and the wind is going to be
- 3:42Speaker 4: a little intense this weekend and it's not going to
- 3:44Speaker 4: be great. So I hope everybody's, you know, safe outside.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Gerardo's going to be safe inside. I'm going to be
- 3:50Speaker 4: safe on my couch. So I don't plan on doing
- 3:52Speaker 4: anything this weekend.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Good for you.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Ricky feels like she's maybe starting to get a little
- 3:56Speaker 3: bit sick.
- 3:56Speaker 6: So that's good. Just take the weekend, lay down, do nothing.
- 3:59Speaker 5: That's exactly the game plan. Gerardo, are you excited about
- 4:02Speaker 5: Jingle Ball coming to National?
- 4:03Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Okay, who are you most excited to see?
- 4:05Speaker 4: We got Alex Warren, Hillary Dove, Teddy Swims, OneRepublic, Nickelback,
- 4:10Speaker 4: Stella Lefty, The Beaches, and JYT.
- 4:12Speaker 5: I'm excited to see Nickelback.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:15Speaker 5: And One Republic. Nice choices.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Something for everybody on this lineup. Unfortunately, you're the second
- 4:21Speaker 3: caller of the day.
- 4:22Speaker 6: No, I'm kidding. You're the first caller of the day, buddy.
- 4:24Speaker 2: You're going to be there.
- 4:25Speaker 6: Congratulations.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 4:27Speaker 5: That was so mean, Kevin.
- 4:29Speaker 7: That was so mean. Did you hear him go, aw?
- 4:31Speaker 1: I know.
- 4:32Speaker 3: But then, think about how excited he got when he
- 4:34Speaker 3: found out he was the first.
- 4:35Speaker 6: You know, I mean, it's more exciting.
- 4:37Speaker 4: I apologize for my friend, Gerardo, but we're very excited
- 4:40Speaker 4: to have you there December 17th at Bridgestone Arena.
- 4:42Speaker 7: Congratulations.
- 4:43Speaker 5: Great way to start your weekend, even if you got
- 4:45Speaker 5: to work this weekend.
- 4:47Speaker 2: I'm just happy. Yeah, good.
- 4:48Speaker 6: I'm just happy right now.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Yay.
- 4:49Speaker 5: You're the best.
- 4:50Speaker 6: Thank you for calling, Gerardo. Appreciate you waking up with
- 4:52Speaker 6: this man. Have a great weekend. We will see you
- 4:53Speaker 6: December 17th.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Hang on the line, okay? We got to get your info.
- 4:57Speaker 6: You could be that excited, too. Maybe a little more.
- 5:00Speaker 3: If you buy tickets at 1075theriver. com, they are going fast.
- 5:04Speaker 3: They've been on sale for a week. They went on
- 5:05Speaker 3: sale last Friday to everybody. Stop procrastinating and get your tickets.
- 5:09Speaker 6: Before they're gone.
- 5:10Speaker 5: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 5:13Speaker 3: 107.5, the river, it's Friday. It is the Fridayest of Fridays.
- 5:17Speaker 3: It's going to be a little bit wet this weekend,
- 5:19Speaker 3: but that's okay. That's not going to stop the city
- 5:20Speaker 3: from doing cool things.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Every Friday, Zach runs down. Ricky, what did I say
- 5:25Speaker 6: that you didn't like? Stop making that face.
- 5:27Speaker 5: You said it's going to be wet this weekend. Well,
- 5:30Speaker 5: it's going to rain. It really just, no.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 5:34Speaker 5: It gave me the eebie-jeebies.
- 5:35Speaker 6: Anyway, back on track.
- 5:37Speaker 7: It's cookie season.
- 5:38Speaker 6: Zach on Fridays. Zach tells us what we can expect
- 5:41Speaker 6: from the weekend. What's happening, buddy?
- 5:43Speaker 7: Okay, well, actually happening today is Fridays by the River.
- 5:46Speaker 7: It's one of my favorite events that they do ever
- 5:48Speaker 7: in Shelby Park in East Nashville. So you can go
- 5:50Speaker 7: hang out by the Cumberland River, and it's a family-friendly event.
- 5:53Speaker 7: You can bring your dogs. It's really sweet, and it's
- 5:56Speaker 7: in partnership with East Nashville Beer Works. So they bring
- 5:59Speaker 7: good beer and really good food. So people like Nicoletta's,
- 6:03Speaker 7: Lady Dog's, Lady Bird Tacos, Kevin's favorite place.
- 6:06Speaker 6: My favorite.
- 6:07Speaker 7: The Mac Shack, they're all going to be there with
- 6:09Speaker 7: live music and a bunch of fun. So you can
- 6:11Speaker 7: go hang out, sit by the river. Yeah, definitely get
- 6:13Speaker 7: there early. If you want to go, get there as.
- 6:16Speaker 5: Early as you can.
- 6:16Speaker 4: It does get pretty packed, which is great. You want
- 6:18Speaker 4: it to get packed because it's all, you know, for
- 6:20Speaker 4: a good cause. But it does get packed. You want
- 6:22Speaker 4: to get there before everybody else so you can get
- 6:24Speaker 4: yourself like a.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Nice little area. Yeah, good spot.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Bring like blankets or, you know, fold up chairs, whatever
- 6:28Speaker 4: you need and be able to like Find your spot.
- 6:31Speaker 7: And a portion of the proceeds go to Benefit Friends
- 6:34Speaker 7: of Shelby, which is to help preserve, enhance, and promote
- 6:37Speaker 7: the Shelby Park and Bottom. So if you go, you're
- 6:40Speaker 7: doing a good thing for the park as well.
- 6:41Speaker 5: Highly recommend buying their merch as well because I've done that.
- 6:44Speaker 7: It's cute. We have a sticker too. But it's today
- 6:48Speaker 7: from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday by the Rivers in
- 6:50Speaker 7: Shelby Park. Also, this is happening tonight at 6 p.m.
- 6:54Speaker 7: at Ripa Villa in Spring Hill. It's called Movie at
- 6:57Speaker 7: the Mansion, and they're playing Hocus Pocus.
- 7:00Speaker 6: Love it.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Cute.
- 7:01Speaker 7: It's really cute. They're saying the movie will begin at dark,
- 7:04Speaker 7: but doors open at 6 p.m., so you can bring blankets, chairs,
- 7:08Speaker 7: your favorite snacks, and then get cozy and enjoy the
- 7:10Speaker 7: movie under the sky. So that is at Ripavilla in
- 7:13Speaker 7: Spring Hill tonight at 6 p.m. to go watch Hocus Pocus,
- 7:16Speaker 7: bring your family. It sounds really sweet. Before the storm
- 7:19Speaker 7: comes in tomorrow.
- 7:20Speaker 5: Get your outdoors in before it gets really rainy.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Kevin.
- 7:25Speaker 7: Also, if you want to do something inside, our friend
- 7:27Speaker 7: Phoebe Bridgers is at Bridgestone Arena this weekend, both Saturday
- 7:31Speaker 7: and Sunday night. She is there for the Lost Horse.
- 7:34Speaker 7: The show starts at 7.30 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
- 7:37Speaker 7: I thought this was really cool. Phoebe Bridgers is contributing
- 7:40Speaker 7: a dollar per ticket sold to a nonprofit organization called RAINN, R-A-I-N-N,
- 7:46Speaker 7: to support sexual violence survivors and prevention efforts.
- 7:49Speaker 5: Really amazing.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:50Speaker 7: So if you buy tickets, you're donating to a good cause.
- 7:52Speaker 5: And the show is going to be phenomenal.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:54Speaker 5: I'm bummed to miss it.
- 7:56Speaker 6: So, so good.
- 7:57Speaker 7: And then lastly, the Titans are playing Houston Texans at
- 8:00Speaker 7: Nissan Stadium at noon on Sunday. Hopefully the rain is
- 8:04Speaker 7: cleared up by then if you plan on going to
- 8:05Speaker 7: the game. And hopefully we actually do something good at
- 8:07Speaker 7: the game. Come on, Titans.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Oh, dang.
- 8:10Speaker 6: Thank you for that, Zach.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Get out there when you can. When you find your
- 8:13Speaker 3: pockets this weekend, take advantage of it.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 8:17Speaker 6: Let's go.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Just after 7 o'clock on this Friday morning.
- 8:20Speaker 6: Happy Friday, everybody. Ricky's got those three things presented by
- 8:22Speaker 6: Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 8:24Speaker 4: A Bridgerton spinoff about young Lady Violet is coming to Netflix.
- 8:28Speaker 4: It's currently untitled, but it's going to be just like
- 8:30Speaker 4: what they did with Queen Charlotte's prequel. And it's going
- 8:33Speaker 4: to be a limited series. We're going to get a
- 8:35Speaker 4: look into Lady Violet as a youngster and her romance
- 8:40Speaker 4: with the Viscount Edmund Bridgerton. who's not a part of
- 8:43Speaker 4: the Bridgerton series because he's passed by that time. The
- 8:46Speaker 4: show comes from Shondaland with Shonda Rhimes writing, executive producing,
- 8:50Speaker 4: and co-show running. So it's going to have all of the,
- 8:53Speaker 4: you know, everything that we expect from Shonda, we're.
- 8:55Speaker 5: Going to get through this. No date yet.
- 8:58Speaker 4: It is going to obviously, some people are upset, okay?
- 9:02Speaker 4: Because with this coming, it means that we're going to
- 9:05Speaker 4: push off some of the other characters from Bridgerton that
- 9:09Speaker 4: should get their next series. So it's exciting and also kind.
- 9:14Speaker 5: Of a bummer at the same time.
- 9:16Speaker 4: I think this is going to lend a lot of
- 9:17Speaker 4: information to what we don't know about young Lady Violet
- 9:20Speaker 4: and her relationship with the Viscount. So I'm excited about it.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Once they have a release date, I will let you know.
- 9:27Speaker 4: We're getting rain this weekend, which is good for us,
- 9:29Speaker 4: but also something that we need to keep in mind
- 9:31Speaker 4: to be very careful about. Hurricane Isaias is a Category
- 9:35Speaker 4: 2 level right now and will be impacting Middle Tennessee
- 9:38Speaker 4: to some degree as it continues to gain momentum and
- 9:42Speaker 4: is expected to hit Category 3 this afternoon.
- 9:45Speaker 5: There is a first.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Alert weather day tomorrow due to the risk of heavy
- 9:49Speaker 4: rain and high wind gusts. And there's a flood watch
- 9:53Speaker 4: that goes into effect at 1 a.m.
- 9:54Speaker 5: Friday night.
- 9:55Speaker 4: For several Middle Tennessee counties, it's going to last through
- 9:58Speaker 4: 7 a.m.
- 9:58Speaker 7: On Sunday.
- 9:59Speaker 4: It's looking like one to three inches of rainfall expected
- 10:02Speaker 4: over the weekend.
- 10:03Speaker 5: And other areas obviously are going to be more impacted
- 10:05Speaker 5: than even here.
- 10:07Speaker 4: Heavy rain should be finished by Sunday, hopefully, fingers crossed.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Something to keep in mind, though, is that NES is
- 10:13Speaker 4: saying to brace yourself. for any kind of power outages
- 10:17Speaker 4: that we may get. So make sure that all of
- 10:19Speaker 4: your batteries are good in all of your flashlights. Make
- 10:22Speaker 4: sure that you are ready just in case there is
- 10:25Speaker 4: a power outage.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Obviously, with a high wind gust, you just never know.
- 10:29Speaker 4: And Amazon's About You section is really creeping out customers.
- 10:34Speaker 4: It's a new feature that basically has Amazon making assumptions
- 10:38Speaker 4: about you through your purchases, through your Alexa shopping conversations,
- 10:43Speaker 4: any reviews that you leave, and other activity.
- 10:46Speaker 5: I don't know what other activity is, but I don't
- 10:47Speaker 5: like it. It's freaking me out.
- 10:49Speaker 4: So they said that it's to improve personalized recommendations. Users
- 10:53Speaker 4: are freaked out by how specific and sometimes awkward those
- 10:56Speaker 4: assumptions can be.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Though, about you.
- 10:59Speaker 4: So if you don't want it, you can edit the
- 11:01Speaker 4: information if something is wrong for you or your preferences
- 11:04Speaker 4: have changed.
- 11:05Speaker 5: You should go check it out, though. It's kind of weird.
- 11:07Speaker 5: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 11:09Speaker 5: need to know.
- 11:09Speaker 6: That's very weird. That's funny.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Thank you, Ricky.
- 11:11Speaker 3: We're going to play Ariana Grande, and then, my friends,
- 11:13Speaker 3: we are going to learn on this Friday morning Zach's
- 11:16Speaker 3: Facts on the way on the river.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Class is in session.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Zach's Facts, brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 11:24Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 11:26Speaker 7: I love this story so much. So, President Andrew Jackson
- 11:29Speaker 7: had a pet parrot named Paul, or Polly, and did
- 11:33Speaker 7: you guys know that the parrot had to be removed
- 11:35Speaker 7: from his funeral?
- 11:37Speaker 2: Why?
- 11:37Speaker 5: Removed from his funeral.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yep.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Why was the parrot at his funeral?
- 11:41Speaker 7: Because it was his pet. It was his BFF. All right,
- 11:43Speaker 7: all right, all right.
- 11:43Speaker 5: I've just never heard of such a thing.
- 11:45Speaker 7: Apparently, the parrot was screaming profanities at the funeral, so
- 11:49Speaker 7: it had to be removed from the funeral.
- 11:51Speaker 6: He was grieving.
- 11:52Speaker 5: I also feel like that's what he would have wanted.
- 11:54Speaker 7: Apparently, Andrew Jackson was known for having a really bad
- 11:57Speaker 7: temper and cussing a lot, so that's where the bird
- 11:59Speaker 7: learned it from.
- 12:00Speaker 6: Oh.
- 12:01Speaker 5: Very impressionable birds.
- 12:02Speaker 6: Yeah, I love it.
- 12:04Speaker 7: And there's your fact of the day.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 12:08Speaker 4: On 107.5 The River.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Teddy Swims will be with us in December at 107.5
- 12:13Speaker 3: The River's Jingle Ball presented by Capital One. Get your
- 12:16Speaker 3: tickets before they're gone, my friends. 107.5theriver.com is where you
- 12:19Speaker 3: do that.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Amazon has a new feature that's really freaking people out,
- 12:24Speaker 4: and I want us to dig deep into our Amazon
- 12:26Speaker 4: to see what it says.
- 12:27Speaker 5: It's an About You section.
- 12:29Speaker 7: I don't think I want to know what Amazon has
- 12:30Speaker 7: to say about me.
- 12:32Speaker 5: I'm really curious what they have to say about you, Zach.
- 12:34Speaker 4: All your deep, dark secrets of the things you buy
- 12:37Speaker 4: on the web.
- 12:37Speaker 6: I'm looking at mine right now.
- 12:38Speaker 3: It just says handsome and funny, so it's very accurate.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Right after Taylor Swift, Ricky and Zach, I want you
- 12:43Speaker 3: guys to dig into your About You sections.
- 12:46Speaker 2: God, I hate you. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 12:49Speaker 5: They're watching everything you do.
- 12:51Speaker 4: Amazon's got a new About You section, and it's kind
- 12:54Speaker 4: of freaky. It's Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning
- 12:57Speaker 4: on 107.5 The River. This whole section, people have found
- 13:00Speaker 4: that it's either spot on or really weird and creepy
- 13:04Speaker 4: because it's taken everything that you've bought through Amazon and
- 13:08Speaker 4: puts it into categories in your About You. They say
- 13:12Speaker 4: it's to make it so that you have better options,
- 13:14Speaker 4: but specifically tailored for you.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Sure.
- 13:16Speaker 5: I don't believe that at all.
- 13:17Speaker 6: I mean, it's like taking notes about you.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Like I saw one example online, somebody shared that it said,
- 13:23Speaker 3: has a flat buttocks. Yes.
- 13:26Speaker 7: Yes. That is the shade right there.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Ooh, you got a flat butt.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:30Speaker 5: And Kevin, you don't have the app or anything.
- 13:33Speaker 7: So you don't know.
- 13:33Speaker 6: Is that weird?
- 13:34Speaker 3: I don't do anything with Amazon. I don't ever, my
- 13:37Speaker 3: wife does a ton with Amazon. I like to buy
- 13:39Speaker 3: things in real life. I go to the stores and stuff.
- 13:41Speaker 3: I don't have Amazon on my phone at all.
- 13:43Speaker 5: I'm proud of you.
- 13:44Speaker 4: I'm about to delete mine because mine is pretty on point.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Although there's one that I'm a little confused about. So,
- 13:50Speaker 4: you know, it says all the things that I buy,
- 13:53Speaker 4: like my specialty snack foods.
- 13:55Speaker 5: Because I'm gluten free.
- 13:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Jewelry and accessories because I'm always buying random things online
- 14:01Speaker 4: that I need for my outfits. Sparkling water because I
- 14:04Speaker 4: love Spindrift. That specifically says, chooses Spindrift for sparkling water.
- 14:09Speaker 4: which is a little creepy, says prefers wine over other
- 14:13Speaker 4: alcoholic beverages, which is true. But then it gets into
- 14:17Speaker 4: this whole section where it says that I'm gradually building
- 14:22Speaker 4: home organization systems and that I'm very focused on maintaining
- 14:27Speaker 4: organized living spaces.
- 14:28Speaker 7: What did you buy for them to make you think that?
- 14:31Speaker 7: Did you buy hangers one time?
- 14:32Speaker 1: Yes.
- 14:33Speaker 5: That's why I'm like, that's a little much, guys. If
- 14:35Speaker 5: you walked into my home, you'd be.
- 14:37Speaker 7: Like, nothing about this is organized.
- 14:40Speaker 5: My closet is a disaster.
- 14:42Speaker 2: It's a mess.
- 14:43Speaker 3: I mean, they didn't say you're slowly working on the organization.
- 14:46Speaker 4: This is gradually building a home organization system.
- 14:50Speaker 5: So maybe, yeah, it's on to the fact that I'm trying.
- 14:52Speaker 5: I'm out here trying, but it just ain't working very
- 14:54Speaker 5: well for me.
- 14:54Speaker 7: Maybe it's because we bought little storage containers for the studio. Oh, maybe. Maybe.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm a lot more organized at work than I
- 15:03Speaker 4: am at home.
- 15:04Speaker 6: Zach, I'm almost nervous to know about yours.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Yeah, because you are the go-to person who buys random
- 15:09Speaker 4: things constantly online.
- 15:11Speaker 7: I will say if we went through my TikTok shop history,
- 15:14Speaker 7: that would be a lot more concerning than my Amazon.
- 15:16Speaker 7: Because my Amazon is like really simple. It's literally like, oh,
- 15:19Speaker 7: uses KitchenAid for kitchen tools.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Yep.
- 15:22Speaker 7: Consistently maintaining a spa.
- 15:23Speaker 6: I do have a hot tub at home.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Sure.
- 15:25Speaker 7: Cleaning supplies, home decor and organization. Like, there's nothing really
- 15:29Speaker 7: crazy on here except for, like, duh, hit the nail
- 15:32Speaker 7: on the head.
- 15:32Speaker 6: Department.
- 15:33Speaker 7: My number one department is technology and smart devices.
- 15:36Speaker 6: That is Zach.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:38Speaker 4: How many robots can Zach have in his home?
- 15:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I live in a radio shack over there.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 15:44Speaker 5: I really hate this game.
- 15:48Speaker 4: It's Kevin Mano's game of the day on 107.5 The River.
- 15:51Speaker 4: It's called What Else Does Teddy Do? For tickets to
- 15:54Speaker 4: see Teddy Swims at Bridgestone Arena on October 16th. It's
- 15:57Speaker 4: kind of a warm-up for our 107.5 The River Jingle Ball, which,
- 16:01Speaker 4: if you haven't bought tickets yet, head on over to 107.5theriver.com
- 16:04Speaker 4: and grab them.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Get them before they're gone. This game is all about verbs.
- 16:07Speaker 3: We all know that Teddy swims, so what else does
- 16:10Speaker 3: Teddy do?
- 16:11Speaker 6: That's the question. We have Josh in Bowling Green on
- 16:13Speaker 6: the line right now. What's up, buddy?
- 16:15Speaker 2: Not much.
- 16:16Speaker 6: Just heading into work.
- 16:16Speaker 2: How are you guys?
- 16:18Speaker 7: We're good.
- 16:18Speaker 6: Ricky's really good right now. She loves this game.
- 16:21Speaker 5: It's the dumbest game, Josh. I do not.
- 16:24Speaker 4: The one thing I will say is it's easy. It's
- 16:27Speaker 4: an easy game, which is nice. But like, my God, Kevin.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:30Speaker 6: Have you heard it at all this week?
- 16:32Speaker 2: Yep.
- 16:32Speaker 5: I've been listening.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Oh, good. Okay.
- 16:34Speaker 6: So you know how it works.
- 16:34Speaker 3: You got to get two out of three of them
- 16:36Speaker 3: right to get these tickets to see Teddy Swims. Josh,
- 16:38Speaker 3: we're going to make it nice and easy for you
- 16:40Speaker 3: on a Friday morning.
- 16:41Speaker 6: Your game starts right now.
- 16:44Speaker 3: What does Teddy do when he holds a rose or
- 16:48Speaker 3: peony or other flower an inch from his nose?
- 16:54Speaker 6: Teddy smells. Teddy Smells is correct.
- 16:57Speaker 5: Would you have also accepted Teddy Sniffs?
- 16:59Speaker 6: I swear to God, Ricky, I have it written down
- 17:01Speaker 6: right here. It says Teddy Smells slash Sniffs.
- 17:04Speaker 5: Okay, good.
- 17:05Speaker 7: I was thinking Sniffs as well.
- 17:06Speaker 6: I was thinking Sniffs.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Oh, okay, yeah.
- 17:08Speaker 6: Either would have worked.
- 17:09Speaker 5: All right, a point on the board, Josh. Big surprise.
- 17:12Speaker 6: This one might be a little harder.
- 17:14Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 17:15Speaker 6: We'll see how you do.
- 17:17Speaker 3: What does Teddy do automatically when he needs to lower
- 17:20Speaker 3: his body temperature on a particularly warm day?
- 17:24Speaker 6: Getting scientific here. Teddy Swim?
- 17:27Speaker 1: That's correct.
- 17:28Speaker 6: Teddy Swim.
- 17:29Speaker 7: Let's go, Josh.
- 17:30Speaker 6: Are you a scientist? Way to go.
- 17:32Speaker 3: You're going to see Teddy Swim next Friday at Bridgestone.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 17:36Speaker 8: Thank you all so much.
- 17:37Speaker 7: You're welcome, Josh.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Thank you for playing the worst game known to mankind.
- 17:42Speaker 4: We appreciate you and have so much fun at the concert.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Will do.
- 17:45Speaker 5: Thank you all.
- 17:46Speaker 6: Ricky, one just for you now.
- 17:47Speaker 3: What does Teddy do as he tosses a penny into
- 17:50Speaker 3: a water fountain?
- 17:53Speaker 5: Teddy Wishes?
- 17:53Speaker 6: That's right.
- 17:55Speaker 7: That one was cute. That one was cute.
- 17:57Speaker 6: We're going to end on that note that I had
- 17:59Speaker 6: more than I was. Since you both seem to like
- 18:01Speaker 6: that one.
- 18:01Speaker 5: Wait, what's the other one? I know it's worse than
- 18:05Speaker 5: Teddy wishes.
- 18:06Speaker 3: What does Teddy do when he needs to process information
- 18:08Speaker 3: before making a decision?
- 18:10Speaker 7: Teddy over thinks. Just thinks.
- 18:13Speaker 6: Over thinks works as well.
- 18:14Speaker 7: Teddy ponders.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Teddy ponders. Sure.
- 18:17Speaker 6: This is good, Zach.
- 18:18Speaker 1: This is good. Three things you need to know.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 18:22Speaker 6: And it's just after 8 o'clock on this Friday morning.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Ricky's got those three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Yesterday, police responded to a reported shooting at the federal
- 18:31Speaker 4: courthouse in downtown Nashville. Police say a courthouse security officer
- 18:34Speaker 4: fired shots at the suspect after they entered the building
- 18:38Speaker 4: armed with a pistol. The suspect reportedly tried to discharge
- 18:41Speaker 4: his gun, but it didn't fire. The suspect passed away
- 18:45Speaker 4: after being transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Since this
- 18:49Speaker 4: shooting happened on federal property, federal authorities will be in
- 18:52Speaker 4: charge of investigating what led to the shooting.
- 18:55Speaker 5: So as details come out, I will keep you updated.
- 18:58Speaker 5: Cat-sized Sophia is going to return to the girl group
- 19:01Speaker 5: in January.
- 19:02Speaker 4: This follows a hiatus where she took time to focus
- 19:04Speaker 4: on her mental health. It's been confirmed that she will
- 19:07Speaker 4: miss the group's upcoming North American Wild World Tour and
- 19:11Speaker 4: the remaining promotional activities that are attached to that.
- 19:14Speaker 5: Through the year, though.
- 19:15Speaker 4: So she thanked fans for their, quote, patience, grace, and
- 19:18Speaker 4: understanding in an Instagram story while sharing that she was
- 19:21Speaker 4: receiving care and working toward a healthier return.
- 19:25Speaker 5: All very good news.
- 19:27Speaker 4: And Air France announced a new direct flight between Nashville
- 19:30Speaker 4: and Paris.
- 19:31Speaker 5: This is awesome.
- 19:32Speaker 4: So starting Friday, May 14th, Air France will operate three
- 19:35Speaker 4: weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. And this is
- 19:39Speaker 4: adorable as a tribute to Dolly Parton. Flights between Paris
- 19:43Speaker 4: and the city will carry the flight number AF046, which
- 19:46Speaker 4: is a nod to 1946.
- 19:49Speaker 5: The year that she was born, which is really awesome.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Air France will be the only airline to operate nonstop
- 19:55Speaker 4: flights that serve Nashville from continental Europe.
- 19:57Speaker 5: So that's awesome news.
- 19:59Speaker 4: We love all the new flights that BNA is acquiring
- 20:02Speaker 4: over the time period that they are also expanding and
- 20:06Speaker 4: growing because... This place, man, it's getting packed with people,
- 20:10Speaker 4: and we want to go to new places without a
- 20:12Speaker 4: thousand layovers.
- 20:13Speaker 6: So this is all really good news.
- 20:15Speaker 5: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 20:17Speaker 5: need to know. I am people that I am talking about.
- 20:19Speaker 6: You are people. You are people.
- 20:21Speaker 5: I am the people we are talking about.
- 20:23Speaker 6: You fly more than most pilots. Thank you, Ricky. Appreciate it.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Don't forget, an hour from now, you can win $ 1, 000.
- 20:29Speaker 6: We've been paying your bills all week long. That continues.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Your first chance to win $ 1, 000 this morning comes at
- 20:34Speaker 3: 910 right here on.
- 20:36Speaker 2: the river ricky zach and mano in the morning we.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Do the leftovers every friday each of us gets 30
- 20:42Speaker 4: seconds to bring a topic or an idea that didn't
- 20:44Speaker 4: make the show this week i'll kick it off with
- 20:47Speaker 4: actually talking about true leftovers okay do you think leftovers
- 20:51Speaker 4: taste better Because according to science, changes in spices, sauces,
- 20:56Speaker 4: and starches may help some foods improve overnight. Researchers in
- 21:00Speaker 4: Australia did a blind taste test. They compared fresh and
- 21:03Speaker 4: reheated versions of four popular dishes. While there's something to
- 21:06Speaker 4: be said about the spices improving overnight, it does.
- 21:10Speaker 5: Totally depend on the dish.
- 21:11Speaker 4: Some of the dishes scored higher with the leftovers, and
- 21:14Speaker 4: some did not.
- 21:16Speaker 5: This is Australia. Pizza was not one of the things
- 21:18Speaker 5: on the list.
- 21:19Speaker 4: They don't know why this is, but they had a
- 21:21Speaker 4: few theories. Flavors can mellow overnight. Things like starches can
- 21:25Speaker 4: change over time, so the texture can kind of change
- 21:28Speaker 4: and have an impact on how it tastes the next day,
- 21:30Speaker 4: or the possibility of a psychological factor.
- 21:33Speaker 5: After spending hours.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Of taste testing and cooking, your palate can change and
- 21:38Speaker 4: kind of be tired of it by the time you actually.
- 21:39Speaker 5: Eat it fresh.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Fair.
- 21:41Speaker 4: So those are all some ideas as to why leftovers
- 21:43Speaker 4: do taste better.
- 21:44Speaker 3: I like it because they're more instant. You know, you
- 21:46Speaker 3: don't have to wait for something to get done cooking.
- 21:49Speaker 6: Or you don't have to wait for a delivery. Psychological factor. Like,
- 21:51Speaker 6: you just open your fridge, and it's right there. Boom.
- 21:54Speaker 5: Psychological factor.
- 21:55Speaker 6: I feel like they.
- 21:56Speaker 7: Taste better because, like, the seasoning has more time to marinate.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Sure.
- 21:59Speaker 6: Like, in the actual dish.
- 22:00Speaker 5: Something to be said about that.
- 22:02Speaker 4: You know, there's a possibility of that being the true
- 22:04Speaker 4: reason why.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Halloween costumes, the most popular one the year you were born.
- 22:08Speaker 3: For me, I was born in 1983. It was Michael Jackson.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Michael Jackson, most popular costume the year I was born.
- 22:14Speaker 7: Were you really born in 83?
- 22:16Speaker 6: Yeah, why? Because I look so good for my age.
- 22:20Speaker 5: I didn't say it this time.
- 22:22Speaker 3: 1990, when I was seven years old, my boy Marty McFly,
- 22:25Speaker 3: the most popular Halloween costume.
- 22:27Speaker 6: That's what my son was last year. He was Marty McFly.
- 22:29Speaker 6: You guys were both born in 1992?
- 22:30Speaker 1: Correct.
- 22:30Speaker 6: You want to guess?
- 22:34Speaker 5: I have no idea.
- 22:35Speaker 6: Barney.
- 22:36Speaker 7: It was Barney.
- 22:37Speaker 6: Wait, was it really? Ricky, that was a crazy guess.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Yes, it was Barney.
- 22:41Speaker 5: I was obsessed with Barney, so that's why I figured
- 22:44Speaker 5: it had to be Barney.
- 22:45Speaker 6: Just a few more.
- 22:46Speaker 3: 1993, Power Rangers. 1994, Bart Simpson. 95 was Lloyd Christmas.
- 22:51Speaker 6: And Harry Dunn from Dumb and Dumber. I love that.
- 22:53Speaker 5: The suits.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Oh, great.
- 22:55Speaker 6: And 96 was the Spice Girls. Those were the most
- 22:57Speaker 6: popular costumes.
- 22:58Speaker 5: All of those make sense.
- 22:59Speaker 6: Yeah, a lot of those.
- 23:00Speaker 5: Let's check out. I was a Power Ranger for many years.
- 23:02Speaker 6: Were you really?
- 23:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:04Speaker 5: I was a Power Ranger for many years. The pink
- 23:05Speaker 5: Power Ranger.
- 23:06Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 23:06Speaker 2: I love it.
- 23:07Speaker 6: Did you do moves and stuff? Oh, I'm sure I did.
- 23:10Speaker 5: I'm sure I did.
- 23:12Speaker 7: She was parkouring all over the place.
- 23:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm sure I did all of that, but I
- 23:15Speaker 4: really loved the Power Rangers a lot when I was little.
- 23:18Speaker 3: And now, Zach, to finish us off with the leftovers,
- 23:20Speaker 3: we're going.
- 23:21Speaker 7: To go back to food. So these cheap foods that, quote, unquote,
- 23:23Speaker 7: taste better than the expensive versions, I want to see
- 23:26Speaker 7: if you agree. The first one, Kevin, pizza.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Hey, yeah.
- 23:30Speaker 7: Do you prefer like a mid-range pizza place over like
- 23:33Speaker 7: someplace gourmet?
- 23:34Speaker 4: Dollar Slice in New York City is always going to
- 23:37Speaker 4: be my go-to.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Yep.
- 23:38Speaker 6: I'm kind of with you.
- 23:39Speaker 5: Size of your face.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:41Speaker 5: Dollar Slice.
- 23:41Speaker 6: I think pizza's pizza, and I like cheap pizza.
- 23:44Speaker 7: What about stuffing, like stovetop stuffing versus like homemade fancy stuffing?
- 23:48Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 23:51Speaker 5: It depends.
- 23:52Speaker 7: I love the box of stove top stuffing. I love
- 23:54Speaker 7: I could eat 15 boxes.
- 23:56Speaker 5: Yeah, I could eat it whenever, anytime. I can't anymore
- 23:59Speaker 5: because I'm gluten free.
- 24:00Speaker 4: But before I'm gluten free, anytime.
- 24:02Speaker 7: I know that you guys are going to agree with
- 24:04Speaker 7: this one. Tacos, the two dollar tacos from like a
- 24:07Speaker 7: Mexican taco stand versus like a twelve dollar taco from
- 24:10Speaker 7: a trendy place.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Tacos should never cost $ 12.
- 24:13Speaker 7: No, it drives me insane.
- 24:14Speaker 4: They should never cost $ 7. They should always be $ 2,
- 24:16Speaker 4: and that's the max.
- 24:18Speaker 6: A hole-in-the-wall place is always going to be the best place.
- 24:21Speaker 7: Always going to be the best.
- 24:21Speaker 2: 100%.
- 24:22Speaker 7: So we all agree. The cheaper versions typically taste better
- 24:25Speaker 7: than the more expensive, fancy versions.
- 24:27Speaker 5: Those be the facts.
- 24:27Speaker 6: We don't agree on much, but we agree on that.
- 24:29Speaker 6: And that concludes the Leftovers.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 24:33Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 24:35Speaker 6: It's time for the Daily Double Tap.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Every day about this time, we play some audio from
- 24:39Speaker 3: a video. This is very interesting and fascinating, this audio
- 24:41Speaker 3: that we have for you today. Zach found it.
- 24:44Speaker 6: It makes me sad.
- 24:45Speaker 7: A lot of people say that they don't let their
- 24:47Speaker 7: animals sleep in the bed because it disrupts their sleep.
- 24:49Speaker 7: But apparently a new university study shows that it's actually
- 24:53Speaker 7: good for your dogs to sleep.
- 24:55Speaker 5: In the bed.
- 24:56Speaker 6: Good for you, not for the dog, though.
- 24:57Speaker 7: Good for the humans, but bad for the dogs. It's
- 24:59Speaker 7: very interesting.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Here it is.
- 25:00Speaker 6: Here's to the double tap.
- 25:02Speaker 8: A new study shows that people who sleep near their
- 25:04Speaker 8: dogs don't experience any sleep disruption. If anything, researchers at
- 25:07Speaker 8: the University of Toronto have discovered that actually humans are
- 25:11Speaker 8: the ones disrupting dogs' sleep. NBC News first reported on
- 25:14Speaker 8: this study, and essentially they have activity trackers similar to
- 25:18Speaker 8: Fitbits that monitor the activity overnight of 25 humans and
- 25:22Speaker 8: 38 dogs in southern Ontario. And what it actually found
- 25:25Speaker 8: was you're more likely to disrupt your dog's sleep than
- 25:27Speaker 8: they are yours.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 25:29Speaker 5: Well, then why is the dog getting in the bed?
- 25:31Speaker 4: Pee-wee used to always jump right in the bed and
- 25:33Speaker 4: he didn't have time for sleep. And he used to
- 25:35Speaker 4: literally move the blanket with his arm to get under
- 25:39Speaker 4: the blanket and ready for bed.
- 25:40Speaker 7: Because they want to cuddle you and they want to
- 25:43Speaker 7: spend time with you, but you are ruining their sleep
- 25:45Speaker 7: at night.
- 25:45Speaker 5: This sounds like a toxic relationship.
- 25:47Speaker 6: Yeah, I think that's the part that makes me sad.
- 25:48Speaker 3: They're going to affect their sleep negatively, but.
- 25:51Speaker 6: They still want to do it. They want to be
- 25:52Speaker 6: with you.
- 25:52Speaker 7: It's so cute.
- 25:53Speaker 6: I miss my dog.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Everything about it is just kind of heartbreaking to me.
- 25:57Speaker 7: Yeah, so I want to say don't kick your dog
- 26:00Speaker 7: out of bed, but like, I guess do so that
- 26:03Speaker 7: they get a good night's sleep. I feel like conflicted
- 26:05Speaker 7: about it.
- 26:06Speaker 4: Yeah, this is a bad Daily Double Tap, Zach. I'm sorry.
- 26:09Speaker 5: I don't like it.
- 26:10Speaker 6: I also, I will say, don't believe it at all.
- 26:12Speaker 6: My dog slept sideways. He was kicking me constantly. He
- 26:15Speaker 6: would wake me up by licking himself.
- 26:17Speaker 7: Well, yeah, because you woke him up so many times
- 26:19Speaker 7: in the middle of the night. He couldn't sleep.
- 26:21Speaker 4: I can also vouch for Kevin because I have watched
- 26:23Speaker 4: his dog.
- 26:25Speaker 5: And he would wake us up as well.
- 26:27Speaker 6: Oh, my God. He had restless leg syndrome or something.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 26:33Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
