- 0:09Speaker 1: What a Sunday it was. Welcome to the Favorites. I'm
- 0:13Speaker 1: your host, Brandon Kravitz, joined by my fellow favorites, Michel Padres,
- 0:18Speaker 1: Kendra Middleton, and the Prime Minister himself, Stucky. The one
- 0:22Speaker 1: pms well over the four pms on the East Coast
- 0:25Speaker 1: wrapped up just now as well. We have a lot
- 0:28Speaker 1: to break down. Joe Burrow injured, the Giants and the
- 0:31Speaker 1: Cowboys overtime classic. We have goofiness and silliness from the
- 0:36Speaker 1: Dolphins and the Patriots. Kendra, Let's try and see if
- 0:40Speaker 1: we can encapsulate all of this in the next forty
- 0:43Speaker 1: five minutes. Welcome everybody to the show. I let us
- 0:47Speaker 1: down with the Three Musketeers parlay. We'll talk about that
- 0:49Speaker 1: as well. But how is your Sunday viewing experience for
- 0:52Speaker 1: week two?
- 0:53Speaker 2: I fucking hate the Jacksonville Jaguars so much? Why does
- 0:59Speaker 2: Jake Brown own us? I don't understand. I BTJ looks
- 1:04Speaker 2: like he went on an ayahuasca retreat in the offseason.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Travis Hunter looked lost. Trevor Lawrence and Liam Cohen are
- 1:11Speaker 2: fighting on the sidelines. The only good thing that happened
- 1:14Speaker 2: to me this week was that I had the baseial
- 1:15Speaker 2: tutin over on yardage. Other than that this game sucked,
- 1:19Speaker 2: I feel like they're the same old Jags.
- 1:22Speaker 3: I just I the fact that it wasn't even.
- 1:25Speaker 2: A loss to Joe Burrow just grinds my gears, grinds
- 1:29Speaker 2: my absolute gears.
- 1:31Speaker 1: When he went down, I said that you just can't
- 1:33Speaker 1: lose this game if you want to be taken seriously.
- 1:35Speaker 1: And then they go out and they do exactly that,
- 1:38Speaker 1: And you know, you have that play towards the end
- 1:40Speaker 1: where Liam Cohen decides with just under four minutes to go,
- 1:45Speaker 1: he decides we're going to go for it fourth and five.
- 1:48Speaker 1: You kick a field goal, you go up by six. Now,
- 1:49Speaker 1: the Bengals did go down the field and score a touchdown,
- 1:52Speaker 1: but still still plenty of time left. Give yourself an
- 1:55Speaker 1: opportunity to be the last team with the ball stuck.
- 1:57Speaker 1: You would you make of that decision? That drop as
- 2:00Speaker 1: much on Brian Thomas Junior as it was on t
- 2:03Speaker 1: law But Trevor Lawrence pretty uneven today outside of what
- 2:06Speaker 1: his box stats tell you.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I like I like going forward there. I mean
- 2:09Speaker 4: think I think you have to. I mean, you just
- 2:11Speaker 4: got to catch the ball. That's sometimes that's just what
- 2:13Speaker 4: a football game comes down to. You can you can't
- 2:15Speaker 4: lose that game. You're up and then Burrow goes down.
- 2:19Speaker 1: You had to lead.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Browning comes in. Uh, yeah, you just can't lose that game.
- 2:23Speaker 4: That's a win that you're gonna want to have in
- 2:25Speaker 4: your pocket at the end of the season. As far
- 2:27Speaker 4: as moving forward for the Bengals, Browning's probably in market,
- 2:32Speaker 4: probably worth like when you're trying to account for what
- 2:34Speaker 4: a quarterback's worth, obviously basic stuff, it's as far as
- 2:37Speaker 4: like the overall premise, it's not only how valuable the
- 2:40Speaker 4: quarterback is, it's the drop off to his replacement. Browning's
- 2:44Speaker 4: not the worst replacement. He threw too many bad picks today,
- 2:48Speaker 4: but he has played before and has been okay. So
- 2:51Speaker 4: I think Burrow is probably worth like in market, maybe
- 2:53Speaker 4: like five five and a half points of the spread.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Your your high end quarterbacks where the drop off is enormous.
- 2:59Speaker 4: It's going to be like your touchdown, like Lamar Jackson
- 3:01Speaker 4: if it would be like a touchdown. So but yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 4: he awful loss with the Jags. I was thinking of you, Kendra. Uh,
- 3:09Speaker 4: it was rough.
- 3:11Speaker 2: The Damie Brown drop was honestly more painful than any
- 3:14Speaker 2: of btj's.
- 3:16Speaker 3: But honestly, I don't even know if I agree with.
- 3:19Speaker 2: The fact that, like you can box score watch Trevor
- 3:21Speaker 2: Lawrence all you want, neither of those interceptions were his fault.
- 3:25Speaker 2: In my opinion, I thought he was their best player today.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Yeah, the offense. It was the defense, Like you couldn't
- 3:33Speaker 4: get a stop when you need too against Jake Browning.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Yep.
- 3:37Speaker 4: And Hunter still is a while to go on offense,
- 3:38Speaker 4: Like you see like he's being coached on the sidelines,
- 3:41Speaker 4: like to what to do, where to go. He's more
- 3:43Speaker 4: of like a decoy right now, but uh, he might
- 3:46Speaker 4: get there, but he's still still a little row.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I thought I kind of hosed with that pass interference
- 3:51Speaker 1: call on that score.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Speaking of which, the reps today were horrendous. I mean,
- 3:57Speaker 4: sitting in I don't I gotta go back and look
- 3:59Speaker 4: at the total mount of pen But just watching Red
- 4:02Speaker 4: Zone a couple of their games, I felt like I
- 4:04Speaker 4: saw refs the Like the Giants. There was like four
- 4:07Speaker 4: penalties on one play in the Giants game. There was
- 4:10Speaker 4: loot the end of that Panthers game. Yeah, a penalty
- 4:13Speaker 4: every single I mean, it was insane. The Colts win
- 4:16Speaker 4: because of a penalty, uh, the old leverage. That was insane,
- 4:20Speaker 4: and I guess good, good call Kenzra on your on
- 4:23Speaker 4: the Panthers almost miraculously almost miraculously one out.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I was sweating that out on with Matt
- 4:31Speaker 2: Mitchell the last ten minutes of that game.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I do want to talk about that.
- 4:34Speaker 2: But the last thing I want to ask you, guys,
- 4:36Speaker 2: what do you think about Trevor Lawrence and Liam Cohen
- 4:39Speaker 2: getting into it on the sidelines. What does that mean
- 4:41Speaker 2: for both of them early together in their career, Like,
- 4:44Speaker 2: do you guys put any stock in that or is
- 4:45Speaker 2: it just like a oh, who cares type of moment
- 4:47Speaker 2: for you?
- 4:49Speaker 4: I don't Uh, I didn't say it, so I don't
- 4:51Speaker 4: know how bad it was. Is that when he like
- 4:54Speaker 4: waved him off.
- 4:55Speaker 2: And then yeah, Liam was like telling him to hit
- 4:57Speaker 2: people in the chest and Trevor just goes like this
- 4:59Speaker 2: to him and turn around.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:00Speaker 4: I mean usually those things are a little overblown, but
- 5:04Speaker 4: maybe there's something more to it. But usually that's just
- 5:06Speaker 4: like it's not nothing personal, it's just in the heat
- 5:09Speaker 4: of the moment and they're like just getting used to
- 5:12Speaker 4: each other. So I wouldn't read too much into it,
- 5:13Speaker 4: but who do the Jags gone next?
- 5:17Speaker 1: Wellech They have the Texans on Sunday at one on
- 5:20Speaker 1: the East. They're favored by one and a half points.
- 5:22Speaker 1: An interesting early line on that one. We'll see what
- 5:24Speaker 1: the Texans look like on Monday night. You're right, that's
- 5:27Speaker 1: gonna be one of those things that gets blown up,
- 5:29Speaker 1: certainly in my neck of the woods. I do Orlando
- 5:31Speaker 1: Sports Talk Radio. We broadcast around the state, and I
- 5:34Speaker 1: know that that's gonna be one of those hot topics.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I like the fact that Liam Cohne's willing to get
- 5:40Speaker 1: on him because Trevor Lawrence has been propped up as
- 5:44Speaker 1: as the face of the franchise, the untouchable in Jacksonville,
- 5:48Speaker 1: and I think it's good that he has a coach
- 5:50Speaker 1: that's willing to push him like that live in the moment.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I think it's something that Trevor needs to get used
- 5:55Speaker 1: to more than anything else. I was gonna bring with
- 5:58Speaker 1: me at three Moskets, you know, kind of following the
- 6:02Speaker 1: footsteps of the Zaxby's box that we got on the
- 6:05Speaker 1: last episode, but I'd nuked our parlay, so I felt
- 6:08Speaker 1: like it was in bad taste because the Jets were
- 6:11Speaker 1: my nominee at plus six and a half, felt great
- 6:14Speaker 1: about it. Total flop. They get blasted by twenty, were
- 6:18Speaker 1: never in it. They even bloodied Josh Allen's nose early
- 6:21Speaker 1: on in the game. They were down so bad in
- 6:24Speaker 1: that game, I think Mitch Trubisky would have continued the blowout,
- 6:27Speaker 1: and of course Josh Allen, being the tough son of
- 6:29Speaker 1: a bitch that he is, comes back in and they
- 6:33Speaker 1: make quick work. I think the Jets may have been
- 6:35Speaker 1: one of those teams, even at a loss last week,
- 6:38Speaker 1: we said collectively, this is a team that we look
- 6:41Speaker 1: at as an upgrade. I'm right back into the cellar
- 6:44Speaker 1: with the New York Jets.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean like I had a Jets too. I mean,
- 6:48Speaker 4: technically it was a good bet because a plus seven
- 6:51Speaker 4: O closes five and a half. But that's just to
- 6:53Speaker 4: see lv Trov who cares it was a bad bet,
- 6:56Speaker 4: didn't get to the window. Even Trubisky even came in
- 6:58Speaker 4: on like a third long completed. That's how bad it
- 7:00Speaker 4: was for the Jets today. But I definitely fell for
- 7:03Speaker 4: a trap that I try to avoid, Like I felt
- 7:07Speaker 4: for that what I saw, and I upgraded the Jets,
- 7:10Speaker 4: and I was like, oh, this new offense in Engstrand
- 7:12Speaker 4: and it looked good with fields. But generally speaking, you
- 7:16Speaker 4: don't want to overreact to anyone week, but especially a
- 7:18Speaker 4: week one. It's more prudent, more often than not, to
- 7:22Speaker 4: stick more to your priors going into week two. So yeah,
- 7:26Speaker 4: I definitely overreacted, and that was It wasn't the best
- 7:29Speaker 4: spot for the Bills, but they just thoroughly dominated.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Like the Panthers. You gotta talk to me, but what
- 7:38Speaker 1: you nailed it? I mean then that was your play
- 7:41Speaker 1: within our three musketeers parlay, and I thought it was
- 7:45Speaker 1: dead in the water. I thought you were going to
- 7:47Speaker 1: join me in my misery when we hopped on together here,
- 7:49Speaker 1: and nope, your squad came barreling all the way back.
- 7:54Speaker 1: They were down twenty seven to three in this game.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I'm assuming at some point you lost hope and then
- 7:59Speaker 1: just kind of tripped back into it.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Yes, yes, we did, like a meet and greed at
- 8:04Speaker 2: a brewery today that I was there watching all of
- 8:06Speaker 2: the games with a bunch of people, and it was
- 8:09Speaker 2: they were down. They had scored three points when I left,
- 8:11Speaker 2: and it was like a forty five minute drive back
- 8:13Speaker 2: to my house.
- 8:14Speaker 3: I had the audio on in the car.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I was listening to Red Zone in the car, and
- 8:18Speaker 2: when I got home, I joined the zoom, was talking
- 8:21Speaker 2: to Matt, and Matt watched me sweat that out the
- 8:24Speaker 2: penalties at the end all of it. Bryce Young, I'm sorry,
- 8:28Speaker 2: big dog. I'm out on you. You look like ass today,
- 8:32Speaker 2: but thank you for covering.
- 8:34Speaker 3: I love you.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Cuba Hubbard, Ted Aeroa McMillan might actually be okay. If
- 8:38Speaker 2: they had somebody even remotely, like remotely decent at the
- 8:43Speaker 2: quarterback position, I think that they would be a dangerous team.
- 8:46Speaker 2: I don't understand how the falloff happened from them playing
- 8:48Speaker 2: in a Super Bowl to where they're at now in
- 8:50Speaker 2: you know, less than ten years, but holy crap, what
- 8:54Speaker 2: a backdoor.
- 8:55Speaker 4: I mean, don't trust them too much. He played well late,
- 8:59Speaker 4: Patty stacked at it late. I think you ended up
- 9:01Speaker 4: throwing it like fifty five sixty times for over three
- 9:03Speaker 4: hundred yards. But yeah, and their defense is still rough,
- 9:06Speaker 4: you know what. I'm not to overreact to just two weeks,
- 9:11Speaker 4: but the Colts offense might be real.
- 9:15Speaker 2: I want to circle back on a take of mine,
- 9:17Speaker 2: speaking of the justin Fields thing. We had a conversation
- 9:21Speaker 2: earlier in the week where we were saying, the next
- 9:23Speaker 2: you know, maybe Sam Darnold Baker Mayfield, Gino Smith type,
- 9:26Speaker 2: your nomination was justin fields.
- 9:28Speaker 3: I gotta say my Daniel Jones thing cooking.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, they got lucky with them leverage. I
- 9:34Speaker 4: thought they got a little too conservative late, but they
- 9:37Speaker 4: had four hundred and eighty yards. They averaged seven point
- 9:40Speaker 4: one yards per play against what many think is one
- 9:43Speaker 4: of the best defenses in the NFL. Their d was awful.
- 9:45Speaker 4: They had injuries in the secondary, but you can't not
- 9:49Speaker 4: come away impressed with that offensive performance. I also thought
- 9:53Speaker 4: part of the reason they settled for that sixty yarder,
- 9:56Speaker 4: and this is like an overarching theme of their early
- 9:59Speaker 4: season is with these new kickoff rules, they're impacting the
- 10:02Speaker 4: game in a lot of different ways. But you have
- 10:03Speaker 4: to be so cognizant of, Okay, if this team gets
- 10:06Speaker 4: the ball back, they're so much closer to potentially so
- 10:10Speaker 4: much closer to field goal range. So we have to
- 10:12Speaker 4: worry about burning the clock. And then if you play
- 10:14Speaker 4: a team like the Cowboys and there's seventeen seconds leftlets
- 10:18Speaker 4: like they got to get one first down and they
- 10:20Speaker 4: can kick a field goal, and Aubrey did and hit
- 10:22Speaker 4: it from what sixty three sixty four with Russ throwing
- 10:26Speaker 4: for like five hundred yards, and the Giants still lose.
- 10:29Speaker 4: It's got to suck to be a Giants fan.
- 10:32Speaker 1: They kind of do this. Daniel Jones have.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Swag, Yes, yes, he always has.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Yes, I wouldn't go that far, but they have all
- 10:44Speaker 4: the pieces and like maybe it was just the problem
- 10:47Speaker 4: was the Giants. I don't know, but there's something to
- 10:49Speaker 4: this offense. I mean, Jones finished twenty three to thirty four,
- 10:53Speaker 4: three sixteen, a touchdown, no mistakes, and then Nicoles even
- 10:58Speaker 4: went like they got hosed a couple of calls early.
- 11:01Speaker 4: I think they went oh of two on fourth down.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Like I mean, yeah, they all game gender for seventy
- 11:07Speaker 4: three to three twenty. So they deserve that win, even
- 11:11Speaker 4: if they got a bit lucky. But that offense might
- 11:13Speaker 4: be real and the Colts definitely have life in that
- 11:15Speaker 4: division they do.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Sitting at two and o right now, they're feeling good
- 11:19Speaker 1: and they it looked like they weren't even gonna get
- 11:22Speaker 1: that last kick, but the the refs came in nice
- 11:27Speaker 1: little late flag for him, Colts get a second shot
- 11:30Speaker 1: and two and oh for the first time since two
- 11:32Speaker 1: thousand and nine for the Indianapolis Colts. You mentioned these
- 11:36Speaker 1: resurgent quarterbacks, Can I nominate that? Since the Justin fields
- 11:40Speaker 1: one is already dead? Can I nominate another that's playing
- 11:43Speaker 1: inside of the same exact stadium. Russell Wilson, I don't
- 11:48Speaker 1: know what Brian da Ball was doing in the fourth quarter, going, hey,
- 11:52Speaker 1: I think I have packages for Jackson Dart even though
- 11:55Speaker 1: we're in this thing that was bar very bizarre.
- 11:59Speaker 4: And it doesn't like is that the tank package? Like,
- 12:01Speaker 4: oh shit, Russell's on. We got to make sure that
- 12:03Speaker 4: we don't win this game. I did. I couldn't come
- 12:05Speaker 4: up with an explanation for I mean, Russell Wilson, was
- 12:08Speaker 4: that that throw that should have been the game winner?
- 12:12Speaker 4: That throw to Neighbors was I mean it was a
- 12:15Speaker 4: great us. Yeah, one of the best ball throwers of
- 12:20Speaker 4: all time.
- 12:20Speaker 1: But that throws that one like pushed him into the
- 12:22Speaker 1: Hall of Fame, you know, if he was on the
- 12:23Speaker 1: borderline that.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Throws like, OK, you guys, Russell Wilson gives me the ick.
- 12:30Speaker 2: I hate him so much. The fact that the teams
- 12:33Speaker 2: that he's on. Can't listen to future in the locker
- 12:35Speaker 2: room because that's Sierra's baby Daddy is the craziest thing
- 12:38Speaker 2: of all time.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Well, yes, I mean very icky individual. But the moon
- 12:44Speaker 1: ball is still there and now he's got Molak neighbors
- 12:47Speaker 1: to throw the wall to.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Aros's going off ugh his you know, mister unlimited dangerous stuff.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Oh my god, give me a break, old man.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Four fifty three touchdowns, twenty three yards rushing. Russ is back.
- 13:03Speaker 1: But yes, Brandon Aubrey, mister automatic, he gets the win
- 13:07Speaker 1: for the Dallas Cowboys. How about some lotes and some goats.
- 13:10Speaker 1: So the greatest of the day, the worst of the day.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna go off. I'm gonna go off
- 13:17Speaker 1: the board. Here a team that we did not see
- 13:20Speaker 1: today that I think gained major street cred as if
- 13:23Speaker 1: they needed it would be the Green Bay Packers. They
- 13:27Speaker 1: held the Lions to thirteen points in week one, three
- 13:30Speaker 1: point eight yards per play. One week later, the Lions
- 13:33Speaker 1: score fifty two eight point eight yards per play. This
- 13:37Speaker 1: Packers defense is for real. They made Jaden Daniels look
- 13:41Speaker 1: foolish on Thursday night, and this Lion's offense I mean,
- 13:44Speaker 1: I guess it wasn't. We all wanted to see, was it,
- 13:47Speaker 1: Ben Johnson? Was it not? It clearly was not. This
- 13:50Speaker 1: Lion's offense is gonna be fine, So you can go
- 13:53Speaker 1: ahead and upgrade the Packers and upgrade the Lions while
- 13:56Speaker 1: while you're at it as well.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Dan Campbell, he was running that up on Johnson. He
- 14:02Speaker 4: was he was not taking his starters out of that game,
- 14:05Speaker 4: and he was going to get as many points as
- 14:07Speaker 4: he possibly could.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Imagine wanting to stick it to your former coworker who
- 14:11Speaker 1: all he did was just take a job that was
- 14:13Speaker 1: great for his personal life.
- 14:15Speaker 4: I mean, that's just the Campbell mentality. But yeah, GoF
- 14:18Speaker 4: I mean goth indoors against the that's that's where he's
- 14:21Speaker 4: most complement. Their offense did look great, the play calng
- 14:23Speaker 4: was better today, and the Bears defense was completely lost,
- 14:28Speaker 4: like it was nowhere to be found.
- 14:33Speaker 2: I didn't understand the hatred towards Ben Johnson in his
- 14:36Speaker 2: return from his former offensive players, Like did you guys
- 14:39Speaker 2: see am and Rossa that they were going to boo
- 14:41Speaker 2: him during like commercial break. I don't know if it
- 14:44Speaker 2: was like during commercial break, but they were going to
- 14:45Speaker 2: boo him doing during the return like that's aggressive to me.
- 14:49Speaker 3: But I guess you talked your shit. You won the game.
- 14:51Speaker 2: I think the Lions draft so well that it doesn't
- 14:53Speaker 2: matter for them contractually, like they just keep reloading and
- 14:56Speaker 2: keep reloading in the draft. I just don't know if
- 14:58Speaker 2: Jared Goff can win the big one. That's my only
- 15:01Speaker 2: knock against this Lions team, and that division is just
- 15:04Speaker 2: going to eat each other to death through the entire season.
- 15:10Speaker 1: How well you guys, where do you sit as far
- 15:11Speaker 1: as the greatest of the day?
- 15:14Speaker 3: She s Eagles?
- 15:16Speaker 4: No, But who's your great Like? Who is I guess
- 15:18Speaker 4: well you already yours is been McMillan, or whoever got
- 15:21Speaker 4: the pack?
- 15:22Speaker 1: Yeah, Bryce Young, Touba.
- 15:23Speaker 4: Hobbard, whoever got the Panthers back?
- 15:25Speaker 1: Dave can Alice, Uh, Dave Tepper.
- 15:30Speaker 3: You can hate on the sad Cats all you want.
- 15:32Speaker 3: It's okay.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I bought in live because you sold me on him,
- 15:36Speaker 1: so I was able to eat out a small profit.
- 15:39Speaker 1: But uh, all krudos goes to you for that one goat.
- 15:43Speaker 4: My goat is probably Flacco for the fumble and the interception,
- 15:48Speaker 4: because I got very lucky getting that over which looked
- 15:50Speaker 4: dead the entire first half. My wote is me I
- 15:54Speaker 4: lost all all three of my sides today, But the
- 15:57Speaker 4: real wote it's Travis Kelsey, which I could go on
- 16:03Speaker 4: and on about that game, but I mean that obviously lost.
- 16:05Speaker 4: The game was over when that happened. You can't just
- 16:07Speaker 4: drop a ball. It's gonna be a touchdown and it
- 16:10Speaker 4: leads to seven otherwise a fourteen point swing and the
- 16:12Speaker 4: game where no one could score. But there's the Eagles
- 16:14Speaker 4: had out won that game on the margins. So like
- 16:16Speaker 4: Elliott made a fifty eight yarder, Butker missed a fifty
- 16:19Speaker 4: eight yarder, And the Eagles are able to get one
- 16:22Speaker 4: yard whenever they need it. It was evident in that
- 16:25Speaker 4: game and ended up running out the clock. It ended
- 16:28Speaker 4: up keeping drives alive. And it's the story of the
- 16:30Speaker 4: Eagles all the time. But the Chiefs can't because the
- 16:32Speaker 4: Chiefs don't sneak it. And I thought Andy Reid had
- 16:35Speaker 4: a really poor game overall. One he going forward on
- 16:41Speaker 4: that fourth down in his own territory. I thought it
- 16:44Speaker 4: was a terrible decision. Like number one, you don't sneak it,
- 16:49Speaker 4: so you're gonna have to try to run it. And
- 16:51Speaker 4: like against that Eagles front, but the game was just
- 16:54Speaker 4: a stalemate. No one was doing anything that the Eagles
- 16:58Speaker 4: had one hundred and fifteen yards. Then the Eagles get
- 17:00Speaker 4: have a two yard drive, kick another fifty plus yard er.
- 17:03Speaker 4: They're up three. So then you're at the the Eagles
- 17:08Speaker 4: ten yard line. You end up going for it and
- 17:09Speaker 4: getting it, but then you throw a pick. Hindsight's twenty twenty.
- 17:12Speaker 4: But if they just punted there and it's a stalemate, guarantee,
- 17:16Speaker 4: Reid kicks the field goal there to go up thirteen
- 17:18Speaker 4: to ten, So just all unfolded from there. I also
- 17:20Speaker 4: wouldn't have punted late when he did. You're just not good.
- 17:23Speaker 4: The Eagles are just gonna get like they're gonna get
- 17:26Speaker 4: ten yards more often than not, and if they get
- 17:28Speaker 4: nine then they're they're definitely getting ten on fourth down.
- 17:31Speaker 4: So I thought Reid had a really poor game, although
- 17:34Speaker 4: I will say the NFL needs to look into the
- 17:38Speaker 4: Toush push and that the Eagles go false start on
- 17:40Speaker 4: that thing all the time, and they did it on
- 17:42Speaker 4: the last one, which should have been called and they missed.
- 17:44Speaker 4: But there it's already a huge advantage and you're only
- 17:47Speaker 4: going to stop it. I don't know what like ten
- 17:48Speaker 4: percent of the time, but when their offensive guards are
- 17:51Speaker 4: firing off early before the snap, and it's even harder
- 17:54Speaker 4: to get any leverage. But yeah, I thought I thought
- 17:56Speaker 4: Sirianni actually out coached Read and that the Eagles just
- 18:01Speaker 4: did all the things in the margins, like the Elliott
- 18:03Speaker 4: was better than Butker on those fifty eight yarders, which
- 18:05Speaker 4: were enormous in a game like that. And the Chiefs
- 18:08Speaker 4: just need to They need to figure out something like
- 18:10Speaker 4: if Mahomes isn't gonna do it because you're afraid he
- 18:12Speaker 4: got hurt, like how many other how many other players
- 18:14Speaker 4: have you seen get hurt on QB sneak like that,
- 18:17Speaker 4: That's that's why they don't do it. Then get someone else.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Everyone look at the Eagles, you know they're gonna sneak it.
- 18:23Speaker 4: They still sneak it, and they still get it. It
- 18:25Speaker 4: doesn't like, So train someone else to do it and
- 18:28Speaker 4: come in when it's fourth and inches and sneak it
- 18:30Speaker 4: with that person. It doesn't matter if the defense knows.
- 18:32Speaker 4: It's better than turning around, handing it off to your
- 18:35Speaker 4: shitty batfield and getting stuffed.
- 18:38Speaker 1: But I feel like you just nailed it, Like that's
- 18:40Speaker 1: the answer. That's the thing that they have not been
- 18:43Speaker 1: willing to do to help this offense. I think Mahomes
- 18:45Speaker 1: looks uneven, and this is now going on. We're going
- 18:48Speaker 1: on year plus of Mahomes not looking like the best
- 18:51Speaker 1: quarterback in the NFL. I think clearly, if you know,
- 18:55Speaker 1: you have to take the Super Bowls out of it,
- 18:56Speaker 1: because he's got the accolades and he's done all these
- 18:59Speaker 1: great things. Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson look worlds better
- 19:02Speaker 1: than he does right now, just the eye test. They
- 19:06Speaker 1: they look worlds better than Mahomes does.
- 19:08Speaker 4: But they also have a they have a running game,
- 19:10Speaker 4: but they exactly like that. We're balanced the chiefs on
- 19:12Speaker 4: of any running game. And then, to be fair, my
- 19:14Speaker 4: home's supposed to have Worthy and Rice, which will obviously help.
- 19:18Speaker 3: That's three points.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Though, Yeah, they don't.
- 19:21Speaker 4: They don't run it. They don't run it, they don't
- 19:22Speaker 4: invest in their backfield, and like they just have no
- 19:24Speaker 4: running game to help him out.
- 19:25Speaker 1: It's just so easy in today's NFL to just, you know,
- 19:29Speaker 1: trade a second round pick and bring in some superstar
- 19:32Speaker 1: running back on some bad team. You know, go get
- 19:35Speaker 1: Jonathan Taylor when he's available. Whatever it is, rather than
- 19:39Speaker 1: relying on Isaiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt looks so washed.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I mean he makes he makes Travis Kelcey look like
- 19:46Speaker 1: he's still in his prime. He's so washed.
- 19:48Speaker 4: I've seen Kelsey catch up all one hundred out of
- 19:50Speaker 4: one hundred times. I can't believe he dropped that and
- 19:52Speaker 4: then it bounces right in to mccouba. I thought mccoba
- 19:55Speaker 4: had a good game right into his hands, and uh,
- 19:59Speaker 4: that was the ball game once it happened. But I
- 20:01Speaker 4: thought read out a bad game.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Worthy and Rice are worth those three points though, Like
- 20:06Speaker 2: I think if both those guys are playing that, that's
- 20:08Speaker 2: a little bit different of a game.
- 20:09Speaker 3: And you know, talking about like someone that could go
- 20:13Speaker 3: out and get on on the low.
- 20:14Speaker 2: I really do believe that the Miami Dolphins are going
- 20:17Speaker 2: to become sellers and.
- 20:19Speaker 4: You're finally on board, You're finally of the off the Dolphins.
- 20:22Speaker 2: And a Chaine might be available for them, like to
- 20:25Speaker 2: be honest, both options.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Oh, I'm so off the Dolphins.
- 20:29Speaker 2: That was such a kick in the balls living up here,
- 20:33Speaker 2: such a kick in the balls.
- 20:34Speaker 1: I'm so glad I didn't lose money on that team
- 20:36Speaker 1: today because it was just all the signs were pointing
- 20:39Speaker 1: to you know, you gotta take Miami in this spot. No, no,
- 20:42Speaker 1: thank you. I wanted no part of that. And they
- 20:44Speaker 1: should have won, and they could have won on a
- 20:45Speaker 1: walk off. Devon a Chan would have walked. He walked
- 20:48Speaker 1: right into the end zone, but he stepped out of bounds,
- 20:50Speaker 1: and then you know two is gonna ta. That's where
- 20:53Speaker 1: I feel like Tua and Trevor for me, look very
- 20:56Speaker 1: similar statistically great. When I need you, you two be
- 21:00Speaker 1: at your best at the end of these games. I'm
- 21:04Speaker 1: left wanting more, even more so with Tua than anybody else.
- 21:08Speaker 1: How is no one going to nominate for aote? Caleb
- 21:11Speaker 1: Johnson of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He just gave the Seahawks
- 21:14Speaker 1: a free touchdown today. I wound up taking Seattle plus
- 21:17Speaker 1: three late, So thank you Caleb Johnson for that, But
- 21:20Speaker 1: not knowing the new kickoff roles totally unacceptable. It was
- 21:23Speaker 1: a backbreaker for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Roger looked. Rodgers looked
- 21:27Speaker 1: terrible today. But Caleb Johnson is I think he'd be
- 21:30Speaker 1: my number one vote. He basically handed a win to
- 21:33Speaker 1: the opposition. Can't do that as a rookie. We probably
- 21:36Speaker 1: don't see him again.
- 21:38Speaker 4: I mean, look, you look at the Steelers through two weeks.
- 21:42Speaker 4: They sure lost last week to the Jets in a shootout. Well,
- 21:46Speaker 4: looking back after what we saw today, yikes. And then
- 21:50Speaker 4: Sam Darnold, who looked horrendous last week, rips up with
- 21:55Speaker 4: that defense. What did he throw? Did he throw a
- 21:56Speaker 4: three hundred? Yeah, he was twenty two of thirty three,
- 21:59Speaker 4: two ninety five two touchdowns. He had that that pick
- 22:03Speaker 4: that was tipped up in the air. But the Steelers defense,
- 22:06Speaker 4: we walk around for over one hundred and then you
- 22:09Speaker 4: look back and you say, oh, well, they snuck out
- 22:11Speaker 4: the win against the Jets, but making the Jets offense
- 22:15Speaker 4: look like that, and then the Seahawks offense look like
- 22:17Speaker 4: that today there's a and then you see the Jets
- 22:21Speaker 4: against the Bills where they can't even get a first down.
- 22:24Speaker 4: There's some things that he worried about with Pitt And yeah,
- 22:27Speaker 4: I guess is this the year the voodoo ends? They
- 22:29Speaker 4: got to last week?
- 22:30Speaker 2: But yeah, I was just gonna say, wouldn't it almost
- 22:33Speaker 2: be poetic if Aaron Rodgers was the reason that Mike
- 22:37Speaker 2: Tomlin finally goes under five hundred and rides into the sunset,
- 22:41Speaker 2: Like what's that meme of like the doors with like
- 22:44Speaker 2: the blood on it and it's the Grim Reaper. Just
- 22:46Speaker 2: like that would be Aaron Rodgers' way to go. And
- 22:50Speaker 2: to be honest, I think that if Mike Tomlin coached
- 22:52Speaker 2: in a bigger market, he would have been gone years ago.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Like if he was in a New York, a Boston
- 22:58Speaker 2: like something like that. Places in northeast of Philly, they
- 23:01Speaker 2: don't tolerate middling like that.
- 23:03Speaker 3: But he's lucky that he's somewhere like Pittsburgh.
- 23:05Speaker 2: I do think he's a great coach, But it would
- 23:06Speaker 2: just be so poetic for Aaron Rodgers as the Grim
- 23:10Speaker 2: Reaper to finally be like his final takedown is Mike
- 23:14Speaker 2: Tomlin finally going under five hundred with him as his quarterback.
- 23:18Speaker 1: That's the long play for Aaron Rodgers. He's trying to
- 23:20Speaker 1: take all all these guys.
- 23:24Speaker 4: Yeah, where would he go next? I'm trying to think
- 23:26Speaker 4: who needs a quarterback?
- 23:27Speaker 1: The Dolphins, back to the Jets.
- 23:30Speaker 3: I was going to say the Browns.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Yeah, but they're probably gonna draft one. But yeah, the Saints,
- 23:35Speaker 4: the Saints, Yeah, go down to New Orleans.
- 23:39Speaker 1: He's got to ruin someone's career. It's got to be
- 23:41Speaker 1: some aging coach, like what if bo Nicks turns out
- 23:43Speaker 1: to suck? He can go and Sean Payton's.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Career, Shanahan, that's it.
- 23:48Speaker 1: That's the one, because with San Francisco the whole time
- 23:51Speaker 1: he grew up a Niners fan.
- 23:53Speaker 2: That would be poetic because brock Perty, I gotta be honest,
- 23:57Speaker 2: I don't think he's him.
- 23:58Speaker 4: I mean, I think he's serviceable enough for them, but
- 24:01Speaker 4: they had.
- 24:02Speaker 1: The contract, and today was telling I think this is
- 24:06Speaker 1: a very nice time to smoothly transition into your world's
- 24:10Speaker 1: worst least favorite person. Mac Jones was awesome today, Hate
- 24:15Speaker 1: to tell you Mac Jones.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Somebody told and they said, what if BTJ is only
- 24:23Speaker 2: good at catching touchdowns from Mac Jones? And I wanted
- 24:26Speaker 2: to take a shot right then and there. That is
- 24:29Speaker 2: my nightmare. That is my literal nightmare. Did you guys
- 24:32Speaker 2: see the outfit that he wore to the game the.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Last two weeks?
- 24:35Speaker 2: Last week he wore some like velvet, bright red Santa
- 24:38Speaker 2: Claus suit, and then this week he showed up dressed
- 24:41Speaker 2: like a head coach from like an eighties movie.
- 24:43Speaker 3: What is his vibe? Why is he like this? Why
- 24:47Speaker 3: I hate him so much? Why are you like this?
- 24:50Speaker 4: Yeah, Jags lose to Jake Browning and mac Jones gets
- 24:54Speaker 4: a win.
- 24:54Speaker 2: If I have to watch him beat the Jaguars in
- 24:57Speaker 2: two weeks, I will oh.
- 24:59Speaker 3: No, I as.
- 25:03Speaker 4: They said, Party is like two to five weeks.
- 25:05Speaker 3: I think, so he's playing, he's playing that week.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Well, that's the thing that goes back to the party
- 25:09Speaker 1: conversation that is never ending. But I think when you
- 25:13Speaker 1: talk about the drop off of Burrow to Browning is
- 25:17Speaker 1: probably somewhere in the neighborhood of five six points from
- 25:22Speaker 1: Party to mac Jones. We talked about Perty's worth is
- 25:26Speaker 1: about three and a half points to the spread, and
- 25:28Speaker 1: the number reflected that. But yeah, I think that was
- 25:31Speaker 1: an overreaction.
- 25:33Speaker 4: I have it at like four, but I might have
- 25:35Speaker 4: been too low.
- 25:37Speaker 1: After watching mac Jones. What would you adjust that to?
- 25:40Speaker 1: Just off the top of your head.
- 25:43Speaker 4: Maybe three three and a half, but I'd have to
- 25:44Speaker 4: I'd have to look take in a little bit more
- 25:46Speaker 4: to the game. But they did play the considering who
- 25:50Speaker 4: he the stints aren't a great defense, but considering who
- 25:53Speaker 4: he was working with, right that the forty nine ers
- 25:56Speaker 4: are depleted at wide receiver, and they didn't have Kittle,
- 26:00Speaker 4: so that makes it a bit more impressive. And then
- 26:05Speaker 4: you obviously just get he's gonna get a bump. We've
- 26:07Speaker 4: seen this before with some of these quarterbacks who go
- 26:12Speaker 4: and work with a great quarterback offensive mind, and he's
- 26:17Speaker 4: just in a better position with better game plans, better
- 26:21Speaker 4: play calling. So he definitely benefits from that as well.
- 26:24Speaker 4: But I mean, I had it like around four I think,
- 26:27Speaker 4: so maybe it's three three and a half. It's definitely
- 26:29Speaker 4: an impressive performance.
- 26:31Speaker 2: So their next few games, they play the Cardinals at home.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Next Sunday they play the Jags at home, and then
- 26:38Speaker 2: they have the Rams.
- 26:39Speaker 3: So that would be four weeks.
- 26:41Speaker 2: The fifth possible week, which I doubt he'll need, they
- 26:43Speaker 2: would be away at Tampa Bay. But like that's not
- 26:45Speaker 2: a bad schedule for him to miss. To be honest,
- 26:48Speaker 2: I think mac Jones can beat the Cardinals, and if
- 26:51Speaker 2: I know the Jacksonville Jaguars the way that I think
- 26:53Speaker 2: I know the Jacksonville Jaguars, he can beat the Jacksonville
- 26:55Speaker 2: Jaguars at home.
- 26:56Speaker 1: It's one of the reasons a lot of people really
- 26:58Speaker 1: liked San Francisco coming into the Sea not so much
- 27:01Speaker 1: because of Purdy. They lost a lot of pieces, But
- 27:03Speaker 1: that schedule is one of the easiest in the NFL.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Yeah, takes a deal. Like if they start four and oh,
- 27:10Speaker 4: which is very realistic, you have Arizona and Jacksonville. I mean,
- 27:13Speaker 4: if I had a guess, they probably split them. But
- 27:14Speaker 4: even starting three and one, with how easy their schedule
- 27:19Speaker 4: is and all the injuries they have, they they would
- 27:22Speaker 4: be extremely happy because they could have They could have,
- 27:24Speaker 4: like today, the Saints had the ball late, they could
- 27:27Speaker 4: have lost to the Seahawks. So getting those two wins
- 27:29Speaker 4: to start, just get at least one more at home,
- 27:32Speaker 4: start to get healthier, and they're going to be scary.
- 27:36Speaker 4: But their their schedule obviously sets up well for them
- 27:38Speaker 4: all season.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Turf toe variant got kender going on the last episode.
- 27:44Speaker 1: We have another turf toe situation. Joe Burrow is going
- 27:47Speaker 1: to be out. It looks like multiple weeks. I don't
- 27:49Speaker 1: think that's an official report just yet, but I would
- 27:52Speaker 1: prepare mentally to not see Joe Burrow out there with
- 27:55Speaker 1: Cincinnati for the next couple of weeks. Well, an epidemic.
- 28:00Speaker 4: The Bengals, they everything goes wrong for them in the
- 28:04Speaker 4: first two weeks and it did. But they are somehow
- 28:08Speaker 4: too and O they had what three yards in the
- 28:10Speaker 4: second half against the Browns, but get field goal misses,
- 28:13Speaker 4: they get a Jake Browning comeback victory.
- 28:17Speaker 1: And then they covered.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Uh yeah, that's if you have the if you have
- 28:20Speaker 4: the Jags plus three and a half, that's that was.
- 28:22Speaker 1: That's a brutal beat. That might be the worst beat
- 28:24Speaker 1: of the day.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Rough you mind.
- 28:29Speaker 2: The Bengals schedule the next couple of weeks. Let's say
- 28:32Speaker 2: let's say he's out the full five right at Vikings,
- 28:37Speaker 2: at Broncos, home against the Lions, at the Packers, and
- 28:41Speaker 2: then home against the Steelers.
- 28:43Speaker 3: They are cooked.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Yeah, it depends how long he's out, because their schedule.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Coming up is even if he's out two weeks cooked,
- 28:53Speaker 2: those defenses not like you're not No, I'm sorry the Bengals.
- 28:57Speaker 3: I'm panicking, yeah, because their defense is bad too.
- 29:00Speaker 4: Yeah, how long Burrow is out because you're you're in
- 29:02Speaker 4: the a f C, You're in the a f C North.
- 29:03Speaker 4: It's not going to be easy to get the double
- 29:07Speaker 4: digit wins. You don't if he's out like four weeks
- 29:09Speaker 4: and you go, oh and four, I'm not saying you
- 29:12Speaker 4: can't come back from that because they're.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Sched last season, I guess, yeah, but you would.
- 29:18Speaker 4: Rather have Browning for the their schedule when it goes
- 29:22Speaker 4: to Jets, Bears, Steelers, Patriots. So yeah, how long did
- 29:28Speaker 4: they say he's out for?
- 29:31Speaker 1: Yeah, the projection is is three to five, but I
- 29:34Speaker 1: don't think they've officially announced that yet. But whatever, I mean,
- 29:37Speaker 1: they're gonna push it. It's Joe Burrow. They're gonna hope
- 29:40Speaker 1: to stay alive. They started to and O it gives
- 29:42Speaker 1: them a little bit more more wiggle room even in
- 29:45Speaker 1: their tough division's.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Constantly getting killed in the pocket though, So like, I'm
- 29:49Speaker 4: not surprised that it happened, and he just he hangs
- 29:53Speaker 4: in there as well as any quarterback. But I guess
- 29:57Speaker 4: there was a pretty high probability at some point Burrow
- 30:00Speaker 4: was gonna miss time. And you just get he's back
- 30:02Speaker 4: there getting killed constantly.
- 30:04Speaker 3: How had they not changed anything for him on that line?
- 30:07Speaker 4: I just don't understand him and the receivers got all
- 30:09Speaker 4: the money and then and the owners are cheap. They
- 30:11Speaker 4: just that's how it is. And since he but two
- 30:14Speaker 4: and oh there too, I mean, you gotta be happy
- 30:16Speaker 4: if you're a Bengals fan, because he's easily could be
- 30:19Speaker 4: oh and two with Burrow out coming up on a
- 30:23Speaker 4: hard schedule, and then their season would be like completely over,
- 30:27Speaker 4: like I mean five and six maybe if he's out
- 30:31Speaker 4: for a month. If they didn't if they lost those
- 30:33Speaker 4: two games, and arguably should have, so at least they
- 30:36Speaker 4: got those two two in the back of their pocket.
- 30:39Speaker 1: I don't know that there's a Bengals fan listening to
- 30:41Speaker 1: this that's happy right now, just given the the Joe
- 30:44Speaker 1: Burrow news, but you can definitely feel some relief for
- 30:47Speaker 1: that two and oh best and worst bed of the day.
- 30:50Speaker 1: I had a two way teaser had the the Lions
- 30:55Speaker 1: down to basically a pick against the Bears that was easy,
- 31:00Speaker 1: nice little rocking chair, and then the Colts up to
- 31:03Speaker 1: plus seven and a half. So I had that one
- 31:06Speaker 1: in the app. Make sure you follow all of us
- 31:08Speaker 1: in the Action Network app, all of the plays that
- 31:11Speaker 1: we put out there, basically even on the day, so
- 31:14Speaker 1: to a wash. And then the Jets bet was just
- 31:17Speaker 1: absolutely brutal. What about you, Stucky.
- 31:20Speaker 4: I had a horrible day. Everything. All my bets were bad.
- 31:23Speaker 4: I mean, the Chiefs game I thought was like a
- 31:25Speaker 4: coin flip, so it wasn't a great bet.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Did you have the over in that Saints forty nine
- 31:29Speaker 1: Ers game? Yeah?
- 31:30Speaker 4: I did okay on totals. I think over in the Ravens,
- 31:32Speaker 4: but I thought I got lucky there. I mean that
- 31:35Speaker 4: was like ten ten three at the half. Lamar Jackson
- 31:38Speaker 4: covers in the first half. Again, it's insane at this point.
- 31:43Speaker 4: I think he's like, I wonder if Evans on this
- 31:45Speaker 4: called it he has as those numbers, but and even
- 31:48Speaker 4: as a favorite of six plus in the first half,
- 31:52Speaker 4: he's like, I think now thirteen and two against the spread.
- 31:55Speaker 4: But my worst bets were the Jets. Talked about that
- 31:57Speaker 4: earlier Titans were back. I lost money on the Titans,
- 32:02Speaker 4: so that's all. I didn't have many sides to that,
- 32:04Speaker 4: and love love the Car. My two favorite bets are
- 32:08Speaker 4: the next two nights, so hopefully the UH Texans and
- 32:13Speaker 4: the Falcons coming up here in a bit and salvage
- 32:16Speaker 4: Salvage of the week. But it was pretty pretty deserved.
- 32:20Speaker 4: Bad day.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I went five hundred on the day.
- 32:23Speaker 2: I would say my best bet of the day was
- 32:26Speaker 2: Basial tooton Revenge game. Had him on the over on
- 32:29Speaker 2: his yard age that hit pretty quick, and then my
- 32:31Speaker 2: worst bet of the day had to be the Dolphins.
- 32:34Speaker 2: I mean the Dolphins just absolutely depressing. I was in
- 32:39Speaker 2: a room full of Patriots fans, and the fact that
- 32:42Speaker 2: I have to go to work and deal with this
- 32:43Speaker 2: all week now just really is twisting the knife even more.
- 32:47Speaker 4: So, you went, You went from chirping on.
- 32:50Speaker 3: The yep yep I for a touchdown.
- 32:53Speaker 4: Yeah, and then you got shut up within forty seconds when.
- 32:58Speaker 1: This yeah it was while. Was it known in the
- 33:01Speaker 1: bar that you were on the Dolphins?
- 33:03Speaker 2: Oh yes, oh yes, because it was a bar full
- 33:05Speaker 2: of people that listened to me on the radio. And
- 33:07Speaker 2: on top of that, my Jaguars were losing, like at
- 33:11Speaker 2: the same moment that was all going on, so I
- 33:15Speaker 2: literally wanted to crawl under the bar and hide.
- 33:20Speaker 3: So that was how my Sunday went.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Literally a room full of Patriots fans as I'm sweating
- 33:23Speaker 2: out a Dolphins bet and I'm watching Jake Browning repeatedly
- 33:27Speaker 2: kick me in the dick.
- 33:28Speaker 3: So that was great. I had such a fun time.
- 33:31Speaker 3: They did have pickle flavored beer, though, and.
- 33:33Speaker 2: That was my saving grades. Thank you, Jake Browning. I
- 33:35Speaker 2: hate you and Mac Jones.
- 33:38Speaker 1: God, why why You'll always have the Panthers though, Kendra.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Me me, and that's my real sad cat. That's me
- 33:47Speaker 2: and my sad cat forever, love love the Panthers. Maybe
- 33:50Speaker 2: I'll become a miserable Panthers fan instead. They've at least
- 33:52Speaker 2: been to a Super Bowl.
- 33:53Speaker 4: By the way, who in their right mind wants to
- 33:55Speaker 4: bet the Dolphins on Thursday night against the Bills.
- 33:58Speaker 1: The line has already I've already seen the line move
- 34:00Speaker 1: by a point. It opened at eleven and a half,
- 34:02Speaker 1: I see it twelve and a half. Now.
- 34:04Speaker 4: I'm trying to think, if there's always a price, no
- 34:06Speaker 4: matter what, any tea, I'll play any team.
- 34:08Speaker 1: I would need two touchdowns.
- 34:11Speaker 2: McDaniel's getting fired, question mark is mcackie's out.
- 34:15Speaker 3: It's gonna get the Bills.
- 34:17Speaker 4: It's gonna give her off for Miami. They host the
- 34:21Speaker 4: Jets in two weeks, there's a and then they're at
- 34:24Speaker 4: the Panthers. So maybe I mean they're as did look
- 34:27Speaker 4: better today, But their defense there's there's no stove on
- 34:30Speaker 4: the defense. The offensive line is still a mess. The
- 34:32Speaker 4: Patriots defense has issues.
- 34:34Speaker 3: By the way, did you guys see Rabel running down
- 34:36Speaker 3: the sideline? That was crazy.
- 34:39Speaker 4: Yes, I love watching on the sideliness a maniac.
- 34:43Speaker 1: That defense is awful. I would I would bet right now.
- 34:46Speaker 1: I don't know. This isn't out there. I'm just gonna
- 34:48Speaker 1: see if I can create a market for it. Patriots
- 34:51Speaker 1: never score thirty three again this season. This was their
- 34:54Speaker 1: high water mark.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Twenty twenty two that they've scored thirty points Bailey's appy.
- 35:00Speaker 2: That did it fun fact twenty twenty two Patriots the
- 35:03Speaker 2: last time they scored thirty points with Bailey's appy.
- 35:07Speaker 4: The Patriots ain't Gonzalas back. I don't know what's going
- 35:09Speaker 4: on with him, Like, hasn't he not I'm string, yeah,
- 35:11Speaker 4: but like he hasn't practiced since July? Is that true?
- 35:14Speaker 3: July twentieth? Second? Or yeah? Yeah that week of that.
- 35:18Speaker 4: Yeah, that seems like a.
- 35:21Speaker 2: It's how how people think it's contract. I don't think
- 35:25Speaker 2: I do.
- 35:27Speaker 4: You just think it's like the worst hamstring pool of
- 35:29Speaker 4: all time.
- 35:30Speaker 2: No, okay, So I don't know if you guys remember
- 35:33Speaker 2: the draft his year. What happened was I think the
- 35:36Speaker 2: Patriots had the fourteenth pick traded back to seventeen. He
- 35:40Speaker 2: was the guy Bill wanted, which is why Bill traded
- 35:42Speaker 2: back took him, and the reason that he allegedly fell
- 35:45Speaker 2: back in that draft was because teams had toughness concerns
- 35:49Speaker 2: about him. So I think that it's just maybe he's
- 35:52Speaker 2: not a dog.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Okay, straight up.
- 35:54Speaker 4: Doesn't have that dog in him. No, yeah, you know, yeah,
- 35:58Speaker 4: I did in the last two weeks because.
- 36:00Speaker 3: It was his big knock in the draft was that
- 36:01Speaker 3: he was not a tough guy and RAB was all
- 36:04Speaker 3: about tough guys.
- 36:06Speaker 4: Interesting stuck.
- 36:07Speaker 1: You do you see the stat popped up in the
- 36:09Speaker 1: chat Evan is on it, Lamar our first half ats
- 36:13Speaker 1: sixty two, forty and two against the AFC North twenty
- 36:17Speaker 1: ten and one.
- 36:19Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not just a Lamar stat, it's a Harball
- 36:22Speaker 4: stat as well. I think Harball is pretty good with Flacco. Also,
- 36:27Speaker 4: I felt I felt for Flacco today. It just it
- 36:30Speaker 4: was just weird seeing him and as I'm a Ravens
- 36:33Speaker 4: fan and seeing him in Baltimore of them celebrating and
- 36:37Speaker 4: then him just getting destroyed. Even though he did get it.
- 36:41Speaker 4: He had the luckiest touchdown pass that we'll see all season.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Did you see that on fourth down? Where the Ravens
- 36:47Speaker 4: went to pick to intercept it on a fourth down
- 36:50Speaker 4: and then it just popped up in the air and
- 36:51Speaker 4: then landed right in the Browns receiver's hands.
- 36:54Speaker 1: I can get them.
- 36:55Speaker 4: I felt for Flaco, But yeah, the Ravens world. Who oh,
- 37:00Speaker 4: you want to talk about You gotta have someones to
- 37:05Speaker 4: bet this. You want to sell high on a team,
- 37:09Speaker 4: you want to buy low Packers go to Cleveland next week.
- 37:15Speaker 4: Who in the right mind wants to bet the Browns.
- 37:17Speaker 1: The fact that that number is not double digits is
- 37:20Speaker 1: mind boggling.
- 37:21Speaker 4: I gotta see what I make it, but I didn't jump.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Let me just let me just say, you do not
- 37:25Speaker 1: need to bet that right now. If you want to
- 37:27Speaker 1: be on the Browns. Wait, wait till Sunday. Everybody is
- 37:30Speaker 1: going to have this in their teasers, in their parlays.
- 37:34Speaker 1: There's not gonna be There's gonna be a couple of
- 37:36Speaker 1: psychos that end up taking the Browns. That number is
- 37:40Speaker 1: going to creep up to ten. That just you're at
- 37:43Speaker 1: least gonna get another point on that.
- 37:46Speaker 4: I was. I was at six point three, but that
- 37:52Speaker 4: was before this weekend, so and.
- 37:56Speaker 1: The Packers have extra rest.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Come on, that's gonna be.
- 38:01Speaker 4: I don't think they will get the seven. I don't
- 38:02Speaker 4: think I'll come back to I don't. I don't think
- 38:04Speaker 4: that'll that'll drop, so you might as well wait. But
- 38:06Speaker 4: I've been wrong before.
- 38:08Speaker 1: The one that stands out to me for next week
- 38:11Speaker 1: is the Ravens and the Lions. I have upgraded the
- 38:16Speaker 1: Lions a lot after what they did this week. It
- 38:18Speaker 1: was nice to see them return to form. Five and
- 38:21Speaker 1: a half feels like too much. That game should be
- 38:25Speaker 1: really close, should be high scoring between the Ravens and
- 38:28Speaker 1: the and the Lions. That's next Monday night. I think
- 38:31Speaker 1: that would be I haven't bet anything yet for next week,
- 38:33Speaker 1: but I'm going to take a look at that see
- 38:35Speaker 1: what the market does with it. But at five and
- 38:38Speaker 1: a half, I would I would love to get that.
- 38:39Speaker 1: At six, I just don't think it's ever gonna touch
- 38:41Speaker 1: that number, So I would take it at five and
- 38:43Speaker 1: a half now if it's still available and we hop
- 38:45Speaker 1: off of this this recap show, I think I'm gonna
- 38:49Speaker 1: end up on the Lions.
- 38:50Speaker 4: I would wait, I disagree with you. I think the
- 38:52Speaker 4: Ravens role in that game golf outdoors against that defense
- 38:57Speaker 4: has ended poorly before in Baltimore.
- 39:00Speaker 1: But even in the decent weather like this, it's not
- 39:03Speaker 1: like it's.
- 39:05Speaker 4: Even if there's a little breeze, God, he turns into
- 39:08Speaker 4: a pumpkin. The but yeah, I would wait. So if
- 39:11Speaker 4: it's five and a half, you might as well wait.
- 39:14Speaker 4: I would imagine the rains could may take money, but
- 39:16Speaker 4: you might as well wait. The drops the five. It's
- 39:18Speaker 4: not as detrimental as potentially getting a six or better.
- 39:22Speaker 4: The Yeah, what else did I look at for next week?
- 39:26Speaker 2: The Vikings are staring at me in the face right now.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Joe burrow out four and a half feels kind of nice.
- 39:35Speaker 4: Yeah, that won't be that anymore. I also gonna see
- 39:39Speaker 4: all healthy the Bikings are. The Bikings have a ton
- 39:40Speaker 4: of injuries right now. I how about the Sunday night game?
- 39:47Speaker 4: Is the O and two Chiefs against the O and
- 39:49Speaker 4: two Giants?
- 39:51Speaker 3: Oh? Do we think the Giants are good or bad?
- 39:56Speaker 3: I think I think they're kind of okay.
- 39:58Speaker 1: I think these are some spread cover fools. I would
- 40:01Speaker 1: want to be on the Giants.
- 40:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean the Giants have fifth pieces. That's just
- 40:06Speaker 4: their offensive line.
- 40:07Speaker 1: I think the chefs don't cover. They just don't cover
- 40:10Speaker 1: big spreads.
- 40:11Speaker 4: Yeah, they're off. Their offense is just not capable. They
- 40:15Speaker 4: gotta go like it. It's a it's a painful I
- 40:19Speaker 4: bet on them today. It feels it's the most painful
- 40:22Speaker 4: experience watching them try to get a first down now,
- 40:24Speaker 4: like they got to go four yard pass, three yard pass,
- 40:29Speaker 4: third and three because they have no running game and
- 40:32Speaker 4: then you got to complete a short pass over the
- 40:34Speaker 4: middle or mahomes. Their best offense is Mahome scrambling, and
- 40:38Speaker 4: that's that's basically what it comes down right now. They
- 40:40Speaker 4: need Worthy and Rice back obviously. But I could get
- 40:44Speaker 4: the talking to the giants there, but uh yeah, I didn't.
- 40:47Speaker 4: I haven't played anything yet. I have to update everything
- 40:50Speaker 4: after today. But we'll we'll talk about that on Tuesday
- 40:52Speaker 4: and Thursday.
- 40:53Speaker 1: For sure.
- 40:54Speaker 2: I might get in on the vikings now, just because
- 40:57Speaker 2: that's not going to get any better.
- 41:00Speaker 4: Is that up? I doubt it's up.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Let me say, where do you have where do you
- 41:03Speaker 1: have that number?
- 41:04Speaker 3: There's a four and a half right now on bet
- 41:09Speaker 3: three six five.
- 41:11Speaker 2: There's one on Caesars, there's one on fan Duel.
- 41:14Speaker 4: That's gotta be outdated. That we there's no way that
- 41:18Speaker 4: that numbers up. Of course, my phone dies right now.
- 41:22Speaker 1: The action app is tracking that at a five and
- 41:24Speaker 1: a half, so it's definitely on.
- 41:27Speaker 4: There's probably just like because it's probably just been pulled,
- 41:31Speaker 4: I would assume, but it's just showing.
- 41:33Speaker 2: That that I just I just refreshed our website and
- 41:36Speaker 2: now it's at three and a half and there's some
- 41:37Speaker 2: threes out there, so I'm like, go ahead and do
- 41:39Speaker 2: that now.
- 41:40Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's that. I think that that's just an
- 41:41Speaker 4: outdated line that it's pulling from. I don't think it's
- 41:45Speaker 4: still up. But like I said, we'll talk about that
- 41:48Speaker 4: on Tuesday and Thursday.
- 41:51Speaker 1: All right, well, let's go Falcons. I'm tailing Stucky on
- 41:56Speaker 1: this one.
- 41:56Speaker 4: And if you're right, hold on your you are right, Kenja,
- 41:59Speaker 4: there's a four. I'm seeing a four.
- 42:03Speaker 3: I'm probably gonna do that now. I'm not even gonna
- 42:05Speaker 3: lie to you guys.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Let's see the early bird gets the worm.
- 42:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I guess where is that is that?
- 42:13Speaker 4: In Minnesota?
- 42:16Speaker 1: In Minnesota?
- 42:20Speaker 4: I mean I would make it like six with with
- 42:24Speaker 4: with browning, So it's not egregious. I'm just surprised I
- 42:27Speaker 4: didn't pull it. But yeah, we'll see. Bikes have a
- 42:32Speaker 4: ton of injuries, so that's worth watching tonight. Thinking's about
- 42:34Speaker 4: to start, right yeah.
- 42:35Speaker 2: That's my only fear is that God forbid something insane happens.
- 42:38Speaker 2: Although Max Brosmer My King, I think that he's gonna
- 42:41Speaker 2: be an okay back up in this league.
- 42:45Speaker 4: I like Brosmer me too.
- 42:48Speaker 1: So let's get this Falcon spread. We are profitable today
- 42:53Speaker 1: if the Falcons cover three and a half and it
- 42:57Speaker 1: sounds like we're all pretty much floating in the middle.
- 43:00Speaker 1: So if Kendra, are you are you following? Are you
- 43:04Speaker 1: are you gonna? Are you group thinking this with us?
- 43:07Speaker 1: The favorite Sunday night spread?
- 43:10Speaker 2: I I don't think so no, because here's the thing.
- 43:15Speaker 3: You guys don't know this.
- 43:15Speaker 2: About me, But I have a theory where the game
- 43:20Speaker 2: after a quarterback becomes a dad, they go fucking nuts.
- 43:25Speaker 3: They go crazy. It's a working theory of mine.
- 43:28Speaker 2: I want to say it's just over five hundred, but
- 43:31Speaker 2: I might be there. I might get real djen and
- 43:36Speaker 2: even have a JJ McCarthy anytime. If I grow a
- 43:39Speaker 2: set in the next three minutes, just because I'm like
- 43:41Speaker 2: big dad energy kind of love it BD, let's go.
- 43:44Speaker 4: I will counter. My only thing is I don't have
- 43:46Speaker 4: date on New Dads. Maybe it's maybe there's something to
- 43:49Speaker 4: that hopefully I'm gonna be a dad soon, So maybe
- 43:52Speaker 4: there's a bump in my my betting week that week.
- 43:55Speaker 4: But I will say he was a short week, and
- 43:58Speaker 4: then he had a kid and he was away the
- 44:00Speaker 4: teams and he's still and he's basically a rookie, So
- 44:03Speaker 4: maybe that has some negative impact not being able only
- 44:06Speaker 4: this week.
- 44:07Speaker 2: The only time it's bit me in the ass was
- 44:09Speaker 2: after McVeigh became a new dad and they sucked for
- 44:12Speaker 2: like three weeks because he didn't sleep at all.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Right, I think it's probably different for coaches. I remember
- 44:17Speaker 1: sitting up in the hospital. What of sweating a Magic
- 44:21Speaker 1: Nicks wine that night my son was born and we
- 44:26Speaker 1: cash that. So add that to the system. That's gonna
- 44:29Speaker 1: do it for us Tonight. The Favorites will return on
- 44:31Speaker 1: Tuesday afternoon right here on the Action Network YouTube page
- 44:35Speaker 1: talking about Week three in the NFL. Good luck tonight,
- 44:39Speaker 1: Let's go Falcons. We'll see you back here on the
- 44:42Speaker 1: Favorites podcast.
