- 1:14Speaker 2: If you are looking to connect with other Hallmark fans,
- 1:19Speaker 2: come visit our Girls Gone Hamewark Facebook group. We have
- 1:22Speaker 2: a nice group of people over there who know a
- 1:25Speaker 2: thing or two about Hallmark movies.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Indeed they do. Let's head right into a synopsis for
- 1:30Speaker 3: the Jane mystery.
- 1:32Speaker 2: The Jane Mysteries Murder at Moseby, Jane goes undercover at
- 1:36Speaker 2: her alma mater to help her college boyfriend soalve the
- 1:40Speaker 2: crime he may have witnessed years ago during the annual
- 1:44Speaker 2: Edgar Allen Poe Festival.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Marco Duphimia returns to direct this installment, adding to his
- 1:50Speaker 1: twenty seven directing credits he held both previous movies, and
- 1:53Speaker 1: is set to direct the fourth, premiering on September twenty six.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Paula Tiberius penned the script, making this is her eleventh
- 2:00Speaker 2: writing credit and her first for a Jane movie. Her
- 2:04Speaker 2: previous work includes The Heiress and the Handyman, a campy
- 2:09Speaker 2: thriller called Hunting Housewives, and Christmas in Big Sky, all
- 2:15Speaker 2: produced by brain Power Studio.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Jody Sweeten stars as Jane DeSilva and Stephen Whosar as
- 2:21Speaker 1: Detective John Cameron. Both serve as executive producers on this movie,
- 2:25Speaker 1: as well as the others in the series.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Paris Jefferson returns as Aunt Sadie. Jefferson has forty four
- 2:30Speaker 2: acting credits and will return for the next Jane movie.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Fun Fact. Jefferson appeared in two music videos at the
- 2:38Speaker 2: very beginning of her career in nineteen eighty seven. The
- 2:41Speaker 2: two music videos were for the Australian band called Ice House,
- 2:46Speaker 2: and the songs were called Crazy and Electric Blue. By
- 2:49Speaker 2: name only, you wouldn't recognize them, but if I played
- 2:52Speaker 2: them for you here, you would absolutely recognize these songs.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Fire them up on my way home, yep, Rainbow Son.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Franks plays Anthony Germain, his fifty seventh acting credit, and
- 3:01Speaker 1: has appeared in the Netflix series I Woke Up a
- 3:04Speaker 1: Vampire and The Umbrella Academy, as well as the Hulu
- 3:08Speaker 1: series High Fidelity. An underrated series if there ever was one.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Did you watch that series?
- 3:14Speaker 2: No, Zoe Kravitch, It's great one season.
- 3:17Speaker 3: It's a bummer that it's only one season. It's great.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I didn't watch it. Randy Thomas plays Dean Simpson. Thomas
- 3:24Speaker 2: has eighty one acting credits, including Everything Puppies, Filling, Butterflies,
- 3:28Speaker 2: and Maybe It's Cold Inside for Hallmark. I recognize his
- 3:31Speaker 2: face immediately because Randy follows and engages with our girls
- 3:35Speaker 2: go Hallmark Instagram quite often.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Nice.
- 3:38Speaker 4: Yes.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Speaking of feeling butterflies, one of my neighbor's children was
- 3:42Speaker 1: talking to me about silly Hallmark movie titles and their plots,
- 3:46Speaker 1: and he was like, yeah, one's called Butterfly Feelings and
- 3:48Speaker 1: it's about and I was.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Like, I'm a stuck it there.
- 3:51Speaker 2: You No, you did not. I'm an expert in the field.
- 3:55Speaker 2: It is called Feeling Butterflies.
- 3:57Speaker 1: And by the way, the two stars of that movie
- 4:00Speaker 1: are buried to each.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Other, Kevin McGarry and what's his wife's name, Kayla? Did
- 4:04Speaker 2: they just get married?
- 4:06Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 4:07Speaker 2: Exciting.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Johncelyn Zuko plays Sylvia. Zuko has forty nine acting credits
- 4:11Speaker 1: and has appeared in only one other Hallmark project, a
- 4:14Speaker 1: Christmas movie from twenty twenty one called A Royal Queen's Christmas.
- 4:19Speaker 2: My Host. Suzuki plays the role of Nami Hissako. This
- 4:23Speaker 2: is her twentieth acting credit and first project for homework.
- 4:26Speaker 1: What's your first impression of the j Mysteries Murder at Moseby.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I need more heat between Jane and John.
- 4:35Speaker 1: My first impression is you lost me at Edgar Allen
- 4:38Speaker 1: Poe Festival.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Really, I don't.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Know what it is, but I can't stand Edgar Allan Poe.
- 4:47Speaker 1: If I hear a raven reference or a tailtale heart,
- 4:50Speaker 1: I'm out.
- 4:51Speaker 3: I'm out. I don't care. I don't like it.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Okay, well, don't watch. Don't watch One Tree Hill then, because.
- 4:58Speaker 3: I believe they do a Halloween episode.
- 5:02Speaker 2: No, no, no no. They talk about the raven a lot.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I'm gonna need somebody who has watched and rewatched that
- 5:10Speaker 2: series to email us and tell me what the connection
- 5:13Speaker 2: is there. It's been a long time since I've seen it,
- 5:15Speaker 2: so I can't really remember.
- 5:16Speaker 1: But Girls Gone Hallmark Facebook group member Very active Facebook
- 5:20Speaker 1: group member Georgia said she just realized that the reason
- 5:23Speaker 1: the NFL team, the Ravens from Baltimore is called the
- 5:26Speaker 1: Ravens is because of Edgar Allan Poe, which I also
- 5:28Speaker 1: did not know.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Poe is originally from Baltimore.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Okay, did you like anything about this movie?
- 5:34Speaker 3: I like a few things about this movie.
- 5:36Speaker 1: As much as I don't like a post storyline, I
- 5:38Speaker 1: did think it was.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Well maintained throughout the movie. They stayed true to the theme.
- 5:44Speaker 1: This event occurred during the Poe Festival. It's now many
- 5:50Speaker 1: years later, and I do think that Lens is spooky fun.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yes, a spooky season movie.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Really.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I like that.
- 6:04Speaker 1: The first scene in which we see John Steven, who's
- 6:08Speaker 1: our come on screen. Yeah, it's when Jane and Anthony
- 6:12Speaker 1: are reconnecting and he kind of like walks in on them.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Nothing's happening, but there's that vibe of like, who's this guy?
- 6:18Speaker 4: Right?
- 6:19Speaker 3: Yeah, well dick measuring contest happens right there.
- 6:21Speaker 1: But Stephen, who's our walks on screen and the man
- 6:24Speaker 1: looks jeffed. I don't know if you noticed, but I
- 6:27Speaker 1: was like, whatever, this like off duty police officer polo
- 6:33Speaker 1: shirt vibe you got going on it?
- 6:34Speaker 3: It was working for him.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I'm telling you, I really like him in this role.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 2: I was never really a big fan of his, but
- 6:41Speaker 2: I like him in this sort of serious dry m m.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I'm into it. And you're right, he does look jacked.
- 6:53Speaker 2: He I feel like he has thinned out but also
- 6:56Speaker 2: like bulked up at the same time.
- 6:58Speaker 1: He's got that like trying goal upper box, like broad shoulders.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Yeah sure, Oh my god, Okay.
- 7:07Speaker 1: You act like you're not over here objectifying Victor Webster
- 7:11Speaker 1: at every opportunity.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I love Victor Webster and he's missing from countdown to Christmas.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I'm not happy about it.
- 7:16Speaker 3: We're going to be at the Kansas City Experience, like.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Dag you sir, oh my god, bring your games.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Can I make a sign or something like no, you
- 7:27Speaker 2: don't want me to.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Show us what you're working with you and making the
- 7:35Speaker 1: same as we'd get canceled immediately.
- 7:37Speaker 3: But whatever, you're not thinking the same thing, listeners.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Let me talk about how gorgeous I think Brooke door
- 7:43Speaker 2: Say is, or let me talk about how these are
- 7:47Speaker 2: very pretty people for sure. I'm just admiring their looks
- 7:52Speaker 2: and talent. Yes, okay, calling back to your spooky season,
- 7:57Speaker 2: I was super into this eerie storyline.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 8:03Speaker 2: The Poe thing doesn't bother me. But if you've ever
- 8:05Speaker 2: watched the original Pretty Little Liars, they have like the
- 8:10Speaker 2: same kind of like tension and tone they use in
- 8:14Speaker 2: their episodes, especially at the Halloween ones. I thought it
- 8:17Speaker 2: was very similar, and that's like what drew me in immediately.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I love the opening scene with Jody singing in her
- 8:26Speaker 2: little mask and are like that was her best hat
- 8:29Speaker 2: and all of that stuff. Was really into that. I
- 8:33Speaker 2: thought it was salantine and yeah, yeah, yeah, and the
- 8:37Speaker 2: scene where she is kidnapped, like when they I think
- 8:40Speaker 2: they put a bag over her head and she's like yelps,
- 8:43Speaker 2: She's like nobody else is behind the stage.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Like, well, how was that screen louder alert someone?
- 8:50Speaker 2: Jody. I thought that scene was quite scary, scary.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I thought that was scary too.
- 8:54Speaker 1: And I thought it was real creepy that scene when
- 8:56Speaker 1: she's in her home and she's kind of deconstructing the
- 8:59Speaker 1: murder board.
- 8:59Speaker 3: And we see the show.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Yes, I think they really leaned in and I'm glad
- 9:05Speaker 2: that it probably was a coincidence when they were gonna
- 9:09Speaker 2: air this. I don't know when they filmed these movies,
- 9:11Speaker 2: but like Halloween season.
- 9:13Speaker 3: I thought it was good.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I thought it was perfect timing for this movie. I
- 9:17Speaker 2: loved this is such a throwaway. I loved Jody's pajamas.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Can I tell you.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I took a phono on my phone and then I
- 9:28Speaker 1: went to Google image search.
- 9:30Speaker 2: It the dark burgundy ones with like the leopard or
- 9:33Speaker 2: lion or whatever was on yaw a lion.
- 9:35Speaker 3: I couldn't find them.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I tried to find them too. That's so funny. Can
- 9:39Speaker 2: you see us on the cruise with our like matching
- 9:41Speaker 2: Jody Sweeten Jane to Silva pajamas?
- 9:45Speaker 1: Yes, I've been I've been searching for some cruise pajamas.
- 9:52Speaker 2: I even requested to follow the costume designer for this
- 9:56Speaker 2: because I wanted to find out where those pajamas are from.
- 9:59Speaker 2: She hasn't got back to me yet.
- 10:01Speaker 3: She's not going to after what I have to say next.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Okay, I have others? Do you have any other likes?
- 10:09Speaker 3: Keep going?
- 10:10Speaker 2: Okay for me? I liked the mystery in this.
- 10:16Speaker 1: So much better constructed than the first episode.
- 10:20Speaker 2: I think so too. And what I really liked about
- 10:22Speaker 2: it it wasn't it was an old, an old crime.
- 10:26Speaker 2: It wasn't something that had just happened, like you know,
- 10:30Speaker 2: when we get Hannah Swinson and Curious Caterer, it's always
- 10:33Speaker 2: like something like a fresh murder.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Who we're going to die in the proximity of these people.
- 10:38Speaker 2: All the time? Right, So I'm glad I know she's
- 10:41Speaker 2: like a Is she considered actually a PI? Jane de Silva,
- 10:46Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I mean, she's a singer who just happened to like
- 10:50Speaker 1: luck into her grandfather's.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I think it's her uncle's.
- 10:55Speaker 3: I think it's his.
- 10:56Speaker 2: She's not a detective. I don't know if she's like
- 10:58Speaker 2: a PI or exactly what her role is, but I
- 11:03Speaker 2: was like, okay, this this makes more sense here. She's
- 11:07Speaker 2: trying to deal with an old case that has brought
- 11:10Speaker 2: to her. It's not like something that's like a one
- 11:12Speaker 2: hundred percent agrees.
- 11:13Speaker 3: And to your point, I was.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Next week's episode too much to lose?
- 11:23Speaker 3: Actually to this week's episode. As we're recording this.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I had been wondering because this episode kind of sets
- 11:29Speaker 1: us up for like an additional mystery. However, next week's
- 11:35Speaker 1: synopsis does not seem to be in service of that,
- 11:37Speaker 1: so never mind. Oh, because I thought, Okay, now we're
- 11:41Speaker 1: really getting into the story of her mom. And yes,
- 11:44Speaker 1: we were setting up, which I liked that me too,
- 11:47Speaker 1: tell me more about that, going into your backstory, And
- 11:49Speaker 1: so I thought, Okay, now we're.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Kind of setting up for this next movie. But this
- 11:52Speaker 3: next movie is not about that.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Well maybe they're just sprinkling that in while dealing with
- 11:58Speaker 2: like other.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Yes, but I am going to get some immediate resolution.
- 12:02Speaker 2: I don't think so. But I agree with you, Like
- 12:04Speaker 2: I like that we're diving deeper into the mystery surrounding
- 12:08Speaker 2: her mom's death. Like I obviously we didn't see the
- 12:11Speaker 2: first episode, so I don't even know if it was
- 12:12Speaker 2: like addressed in that movie, but at least going forward,
- 12:17Speaker 2: I like having this through line, like it doesn't have
- 12:19Speaker 2: to be solved right away. Let's pick at it over
- 12:22Speaker 2: the next couple of movies and see if we get
- 12:24Speaker 2: closer to some.
- 12:25Speaker 3: Sort of resolution.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I like that. I thought there were some really funny
- 12:30Speaker 2: moments in this movie. And they come between Detective John
- 12:34Speaker 2: and Aunt Sadie, and there's this great line. Sadie presents
- 12:38Speaker 2: John and Jane with like some information and John goes, where'd.
- 12:43Speaker 3: You get this the Internet?
- 12:44Speaker 2: And it was so funny because he's so deadpan dry. Yeah,
- 12:48Speaker 2: it just makes me laugh out loud.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, and I love Sadie.
- 12:53Speaker 2: There was not enough Sadie. There was not enough Aunt
- 12:55Speaker 2: Sadie in this movie for me either.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Yeah, she figured much more prominently last week's movie.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Yeah, kind of disappointed by that.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it was almost like the introduction of the Anthony
- 13:06Speaker 1: Jermaine character took over because he was doing some of
- 13:11Speaker 1: the detective work himself.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and I don't need him to come back for
- 13:14Speaker 2: a future role.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I don't anticipate that he will, although he is staying on.
- 13:19Speaker 2: At Mosby right, he was already like he was going
- 13:22Speaker 2: to take over profess her.
- 13:24Speaker 3: There before that. I thought he was going to take
- 13:26Speaker 3: over for the guy.
- 13:26Speaker 2: For the dean. The Dean, Yeah, huh, I don't know.
- 13:31Speaker 2: I thought Sylvia was a great addition. She was funny,
- 13:34Speaker 2: She was super into true crime podcasts, and so she
- 13:37Speaker 2: kept like referencing like.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, she's the admissions yes worker.
- 13:42Speaker 3: I just I mean I know.
- 13:44Speaker 2: That was wasn't like a pivotal like character, but I
- 13:49Speaker 2: thought I loved him.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Like she was like, oh, they're kept off site, and
- 13:53Speaker 1: we're thinking, like she doesn't want them to get into
- 13:55Speaker 1: those files and we just learned that it's just a mess,
- 13:57Speaker 1: and she's like, I don't want you to see that.
- 13:58Speaker 3: I have absolutely not been maintaining this.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Area all the way. I related to that. No, I
- 14:06Speaker 2: don't have any bulls you can borrow because I don't
- 14:08Speaker 2: want to get under the cabinet there. There's eighteen hundred
- 14:11Speaker 2: other things shoved in there. The last thing I thought
- 14:14Speaker 2: was really cool was the choir. I thought the singing
- 14:17Speaker 2: in this movie. The music was really good.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Yeah, that secondary storyline of the performer who had stage fright,
- 14:26Speaker 1: the actual singing was really well done. And these movies
- 14:30Speaker 1: do kind of serve as a vehicle for Jodie Sweeten
- 14:32Speaker 1: to be able to sing, but she's.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Got a great voice.
- 14:36Speaker 4: I know.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Let's talk wishes. Okay, What in the pattern mixing is
- 14:41Speaker 1: happening with Jane's wardrobe?
- 14:43Speaker 3: Why? I was in the shower this morning thinking there's got.
- 14:46Speaker 1: To be a deeper reason why her wardrobe is so
- 14:50Speaker 1: bold and there's so many patterns, Like the girl does
- 14:54Speaker 1: not wear a neutral throughout this entire series, and I
- 14:58Speaker 1: know you bumped on it last time. I think her
- 15:00Speaker 1: wardrobe ages for a little bit. In one of the
- 15:03Speaker 1: first scenes, she's in like a green leather jacket with
- 15:06Speaker 1: and she has a patterned shirt and a patterned shirt
- 15:08Speaker 1: and they don't match.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and I don't know why, Like why do we both.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Her hair and her wardrobe adds a decade that I
- 15:18Speaker 1: don't think she deserves.
- 15:20Speaker 2: She's younger than us, right, Yeah, she's like a lot
- 15:22Speaker 2: younger than us. It's so funny because when I was
- 15:24Speaker 2: originally doing my notes, I was like, oh, I really
- 15:26Speaker 2: like her wardrobe, and then I was like, wait a minute.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I liked the pajamas and I liked one outfit. It
- 15:31Speaker 2: was like a white pant with a patterned like green
- 15:35Speaker 2: and black shirt that I really liked. That that that
- 15:37Speaker 2: was the most subdued of everything she's wore. But there
- 15:40Speaker 2: were some interesting mixing and matching happening.
- 15:44Speaker 3: And I just was singing, I wonder what it is.
- 15:47Speaker 1: It feels to me like there's got to be a
- 15:49Speaker 1: reason why they've made this choice for her, And I
- 15:52Speaker 1: don't know what it is, a metaphor that I'm not understanding, Okay,
- 15:57Speaker 1: I mean maybe I just wish maybe it hadn't been
- 16:00Speaker 1: that easy for her to get a professorship, like here,
- 16:02Speaker 1: you work at this college.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Boom, come, Yeah, I'm putting a good word for you
- 16:06Speaker 3: and you can take over.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Yeah, before my heart's position where you think you would
- 16:10Speaker 1: need some sort of proof that she has any ability.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean she jumped right in, though she was like,
- 16:18Speaker 2: even if I'm just faking it here, I am, and
- 16:20Speaker 2: if it work, I'm invested.
- 16:21Speaker 4: In these kids.
- 16:22Speaker 3: And then, so what else did you wish for?
- 16:26Speaker 2: Okay? The pacing felt a little bit slow, sleepy at times,
- 16:31Speaker 2: oh boy, But on the flip side, like I don't
- 16:34Speaker 2: need it to be fast paced, like the cases of
- 16:36Speaker 2: mystery Lane, Like they're not throwing jokes at us, you
- 16:38Speaker 2: know what I mean. They are unraveling like a crime
- 16:43Speaker 2: or whatever, it's not just gonna come. And especially like
- 16:46Speaker 2: an old crime a what do they call those? A
- 16:50Speaker 2: cold case?
- 16:50Speaker 1: It's not like you know. This is one of my
- 16:53Speaker 1: biggest issues with this movie, and with many movies i'd
- 16:56Speaker 1: see this happen. Anybody who listened to this podcast knows
- 16:59Speaker 1: that I quickly. I process information quickly. I like to
- 17:03Speaker 1: receive information quickly, and I turn up the speed at
- 17:05Speaker 1: which I listen to audiobooks.
- 17:06Speaker 3: I find the cadence of.
- 17:07Speaker 1: This movie and other movies, not just the pacing of
- 17:11Speaker 1: the storytelling, but the cadence of the speaking to be
- 17:14Speaker 1: slow and frustrating at times.
- 17:16Speaker 3: And I don't know what it comes down to.
- 17:19Speaker 1: There's one scene where Jane and John and Sadie are
- 17:24Speaker 1: speaking in front of the murder board, and each character
- 17:28Speaker 1: is being shot from a different angle. So whether they're
- 17:30Speaker 1: shot at different times or they're shot from three different
- 17:33Speaker 1: cameras at the same time, I don't know. I suspect
- 17:36Speaker 1: based on the angles are shot at different times, but
- 17:38Speaker 1: there is a pause between each line.
- 17:41Speaker 3: We should go look for this person. Yes, I think
- 17:44Speaker 3: that's a good idea. Why don't you go?
- 17:47Speaker 1: Obviously I'm making else up? Is it in the editing.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Is it in the speaking, Is it in the amount
- 17:53Speaker 1: of material that they can't cut that closer? Or is
- 17:57Speaker 1: that just the way that this director likes to play
- 18:00Speaker 1: things out.
- 18:01Speaker 3: I don't know, but it felt frustrated.
- 18:05Speaker 2: It's not it's because you're not watching a natural conversation happening. Yeah.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Now I have a question, do you get frustrated at
- 18:12Speaker 2: me because sometimes it takes me a long time to
- 18:15Speaker 2: find my words?
- 18:15Speaker 1: Are you like, I edit this podcast and there are
- 18:18Speaker 1: many times where there's a long pause between what I
- 18:20Speaker 1: am saying Because I'm not talking about the difference between
- 18:24Speaker 1: just like now, being able to find your words and
- 18:26Speaker 1: many pauses in conversation. I just think in natural conversation,
- 18:32Speaker 1: responses flow more quickly.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Maybe it's wish friend enough.
- 18:36Speaker 2: I was like, maybe it's just the director who knows
- 18:40Speaker 2: I don't direct or even pretend to know anything about directing,
- 18:44Speaker 2: and maybe they have to who knows. I don't know.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I said it at the top. I need I need
- 18:50Speaker 2: Jane and John to figure it out if they're gonna
- 18:53Speaker 2: like get together or not, because it's a real slow
- 18:57Speaker 2: burn if anything. Yeah, And in yesterday's movie review, I
- 19:02Speaker 2: was like, did I just not say, like it's okay
- 19:05Speaker 2: to be platonic, but for this movie, I feel like
- 19:09Speaker 2: we're headed down that road, but like, give me something.
- 19:13Speaker 1: I think the only bit you get in this movie
- 19:16Speaker 1: is when John appears and finds Anthony and Sadie excuse me,
- 19:22Speaker 1: Anthony and Jane having a conversation in her home, and
- 19:24Speaker 1: he's like, was this dude here? Right?
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yeah? And I believe that's her home, but it's also
- 19:29Speaker 2: like their their detective place. I know it's not a
- 19:33Speaker 2: detective place, their PI place or whatever the foundation I
- 19:37Speaker 2: think they call it. Does he just stroll on in
- 19:41Speaker 2: in the middle of the night. Well, she's in her Jammy's.
- 19:44Speaker 3: With Sadie in that moment.
- 19:46Speaker 2: How about some did you see?
- 19:47Speaker 3: That's okay?
- 19:48Speaker 1: I want you to hear this in the in the
- 19:50Speaker 1: way in which I intend it, which is not to
- 19:52Speaker 1: be snide.
- 19:54Speaker 3: There is a children's book called Miss Nelson is Missing.
- 19:57Speaker 2: I know that book.
- 19:58Speaker 1: And in the book, Miss Nelson's students are annoying, and
- 20:05Speaker 1: so she returns as the substitute, Miss Viola Swamp, and
- 20:10Speaker 1: she's got a wig, and she's made herself unattractive and
- 20:12Speaker 1: she's mean, and so that when Miss Nelson comes back
- 20:15Speaker 1: all of a sudden, her children.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Will love her and be sure.
- 20:18Speaker 1: I don't think Jodie Sweeten looks like Viola Swamp. However,
- 20:22Speaker 1: the transition from Jane to her singing teacher alter ego
- 20:29Speaker 1: gave me Miss Nelson as missing, but.
- 20:32Speaker 3: It's all insane. She's that was so much more attractive.
- 20:36Speaker 3: I don't think she looks like.
- 20:38Speaker 2: The dark caricature. The dark wig did into any favors.
- 20:42Speaker 1: I don't. It wasn't so much that it didn't do
- 20:44Speaker 1: her any favors. It was just such a stark contract. Yeah,
- 20:47Speaker 1: obviously blonded to black.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Why did she need a wig?
- 20:51Speaker 1: I think because she's known as Jane the Performer.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Oh okay, okay, okay, that makes sense. I did think
- 20:58Speaker 2: it was kind of funny that, like how much they
- 21:01Speaker 2: talked about wigs in this movie, considering like the Heiress
- 21:07Speaker 2: and the Handyman and everything. Like I found an article
- 21:10Speaker 2: online yesterday about like fans freaking out about Jodie Sweeten's
- 21:14Speaker 2: wig in this movie, and I was like, oh, that
- 21:16Speaker 2: is so funny, Like.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Yeah, because I think Homework did her dirty, or Johnson
- 21:20Speaker 1: or whoever made that movie did her dirty with that
- 21:23Speaker 1: win because she was so pretty and that wig doesn't.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Move, no, I know. But then like it's mentioned the
- 21:31Speaker 2: dark wig, like, oh, I think I can. I don't know.
- 21:34Speaker 2: It just was funny. It was funny. I know. There's
- 21:38Speaker 2: absolutely no coincidence there. There can't be. Maybe there can be.
- 21:44Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 21:45Speaker 3: I don't think it's intentional if that's what you're saying.
- 21:46Speaker 3: That's what I was. They're not like winking a nod
- 21:48Speaker 3: to the camera.
- 21:49Speaker 2: No, no, no, I'm sure I'm not the only one.
- 21:53Speaker 2: But I did spot the faculty sticker on the car
- 21:57Speaker 2: involve like gigantic. It was huge, right, yes, And I
- 22:02Speaker 2: was like, how can you? I mean, that's a super
- 22:05Speaker 2: huge clue, dude, and you totally missed it. But then
- 22:08Speaker 2: I thought, well, was that intentional? Because it is kind
- 22:11Speaker 2: of fun for your audience to maybe be one or
- 22:15Speaker 2: two steps ahead of the investigator, So maybe.
- 22:21Speaker 3: It was intentional.
- 22:23Speaker 2: But then like when the Dean kidnaps Jody, he also
- 22:27Speaker 2: has a huge ass faculty sticker on his car too.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Uh yeah, yeah.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I was like, bro, are you literally trying to kidnap
- 22:37Speaker 2: this woman? Like when there's a million people around in
- 22:41Speaker 2: a car that is giving it a way that it's
- 22:43Speaker 2: faculty driving it.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, doesn't make any sense to me.
- 22:51Speaker 2: This okay. The opening scene when Jody is singing love
- 22:56Speaker 2: the scene I already told you I did, but it's
- 22:58Speaker 2: supposed to be fifteen years earlier. And I noticed that
- 23:01Speaker 2: Miss Jodie Sweeten had a little blemish on her face. Yes,
- 23:06Speaker 2: that I saw again later in the movie, and I
- 23:08Speaker 2: was like, you know, like continuity purpose, that sucks, but
- 23:13Speaker 2: you know, skin stuff happens.
- 23:15Speaker 3: Sure, So she's like, can't I just live? Please? Seriously?
- 23:19Speaker 3: Is bad enough?
- 23:20Speaker 4: With that said, though, I don't want any anybody finding
- 23:23Speaker 4: videos of me and being like, well, look at your
- 23:26Speaker 4: skin here, because even in that recent countdown to Christmas
- 23:29Speaker 4: video that we just did, woof, I'm.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Looking way puffy. So please don't send your emails to me,
- 23:37Speaker 2: because I already know send your eye patches. This episode
- 23:42Speaker 2: is sponsored by Bird's Bees.
- 23:45Speaker 1: W Anyway, that's how I got What did you rate
- 23:51Speaker 1: the Jane Mysteries Murder at Moseby.
- 23:53Speaker 3: You're gonna freak out? I give it three stors.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Smell is wrong with You? The same score to this
- 24:00Speaker 1: as Falling Together.
- 24:01Speaker 2: I liked both movies.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Wow, two stars for me. I'm sorry I didn't enjoy
- 24:05Speaker 1: it that much. Okay, And in fact, I know I'm
- 24:08Speaker 1: alone because I posted about it on our Facebook group
- 24:10Speaker 1: and everyone was like.
- 24:11Speaker 3: What are you talking about? This movie is amazing?
- 24:13Speaker 2: So amazing might be a little bit, but I liked
- 24:17Speaker 2: the vibes of this movie.
- 24:19Speaker 4: Cool.
