Speaker 1: Welcome to today's edition of Reflection on the Word with
• 0:50
Speaker 1: Richard K. I'm Chuck Christie, and today we are asking
• 0:54
Speaker 1: you to spend a few moments of your time with
• 0:56
Speaker 1: us each day as Richard shares from God's Word with notes, quotes,
• 1:00
Speaker 1: and stories along with some of his own personal experiences,
• 1:03
Speaker 1: to confirm for you God's great love for us, that
• 1:06
Speaker 1: his compassion for us never fails, and that He has
• 1:08
Speaker 1: a great faithfulness toward us in every regard. In Lamentations
• 1:12
Speaker 1: Chapter three, verses twenty two and twenty three, we read,
• 1:16
Speaker 1: because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed,
• 1:20
Speaker 1: for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning.
• 1:24
Speaker 1: Great is your faithfulness. Now, if you miss a portion
• 1:27
Speaker 1: of today's broadcast or would like to recommend it to
• 1:29
Speaker 1: a friend, you can hear this program anytime online at
• 1:33
Speaker 1: Talknetwork Radio dot com. Well, now, here's Richard with today's reflection.
• 1:39
Speaker 2: Luke ten twenty seven states, love the Lord your God
• 1:43
Speaker 2: with all your heart, and with all your soul, and
• 1:46
Speaker 2: with all your strength, and with all your mind, and
• 1:50
Speaker 2: love your neighbor as yourself. How do we love God
• 1:56
Speaker 2: with our whole heart?
• 1:58
  Speaker 1: You know?
• 1:59
Speaker 2: In order to love God God with all our strength.
• 2:02
Speaker 2: We have to admit that we are weak, and by
• 2:04
Speaker 2: doing this we acknowledge God is the true source of
• 2:08
Speaker 2: our strength, and that in our weakness he is strong.
• 2:12
Speaker 2: We become strong as we become totally dependent upon Him,
• 2:17
Speaker 2: allowing his strength to work through us. As God shows
• 2:21
Speaker 2: his strength through us, we will find ourselves doing things
• 2:25
Speaker 2: we never thought possible. God promises we can do all
• 2:29
Speaker 2: things through Him. As he gives us his strength found
• 2:34
Speaker 2: in Philippians four thirteen, we will take steps of faith
• 2:39
Speaker 2: we never thought possible, and we will love others in
• 2:42
Speaker 2: a way we never imagine. As God supplies us with
• 2:46
Speaker 2: supernatural strength and energy, God wants us to need his
• 2:51
Speaker 2: strength and use it for his purposes. When we try
• 2:55
Speaker 2: to love and serve others with just our strength, we
• 2:58
Speaker 2: will inevitably fail. And that's okay, because God wants us
• 3:03
Speaker 2: to fail in our own strength so that we will
• 3:07
Speaker 2: start relying upon his strength. Too often, we think that
• 3:11
Speaker 2: we can do it on our own, and we only
• 3:15
Speaker 2: call upon his strength when we realize our failure. How
• 3:20
Speaker 2: much more would we be able to accomplish for the
• 3:23
Speaker 2: kingdom by reversing this process In times of trouble, Let's
• 3:29
Speaker 2: go to God first and do what he leads us
• 3:33
Speaker 2: to do. The apostle Paul came to recognize that when
• 3:37
Speaker 2: he was totally surrendered to God in God's way of
• 3:41
Speaker 2: doing things, he had an inexhaustible supply of supernatural strength
• 3:47
Speaker 2: to accomplish his mission. That same supply will meet all
• 3:53
Speaker 2: of our needs, for His strength is made perfect in
• 3:57
  Speaker 2: our weakness.
• 4:00
Speaker 1: Richard will be right back in a moment to wrap up.

• 5:05
Speaker 2: all your soul, and with all your strength, and with
