Latest / KSEV Mornings with Craig and Wayne / Hasan Piker on Talarico, Steve Hilton's Solar Panel Audit, and a Yankees Playoff Loss
Transcript
- 0:11And now, the mob guys Craig Coglianese and Wayne Dolcefino,
- 0:33On KSEV Radio.
- 0:37Well, you get one of the mob guys on KSEV Radio.
- 0:41My name is Craig Coglianese, or as you hear me say it still,
- 0:45when I fill in on the Dana show, Craig Coglianese.
- 0:47I'm just going to go by both names.
- 0:48Russell, I think it's going to be a, yeah, either or.
- 0:52People pick.
- 0:52At Radio Craig C on social media if you want to follow me.
- 0:55A lot of things to talk about.
- 0:56I will absolutely start by talking about the New York Yankees, even though I know I live in Houston,
- 1:01but they lost. And so I think people are happy when they lose. So this is like a fun thing. Yeah,
- 1:06I see Russell giving me like thumbs up. So everybody's happy about this. I am going to,
- 1:10I'm going to take issue with something you said on the press box. I don't think that the Rays got to
- 1:16Cam Schlettler as much as I think errors behind Cam as a young pitcher really rattled him. In the
- 1:24first inning, Russell, three errors.
- 1:27Yeah, he's holding his fingers up.
- 1:29Three errors.
- 1:29Three!
- 1:30I mean, and I don't know what happened there.
- 1:33I don't know why Jazz Chisholm didn't know
- 1:34how to throw the ball to first base.
- 1:35He looked like Chuck Knoblock from years ago
- 1:37as a New York Yankee who forgot how to do that.
- 1:40It was, it's horrible.
- 1:42Cause I really thought the Yankees had game two.
- 1:45Now luckily, and this doesn't matter to any of the Texans
- 1:48out there listening to the show,
- 1:49cause most of you want the Yankees to lose.
- 1:51Luckily they're one of the best teams
- 1:53coming back 2-0 in an ALDS in baseball.
- 1:57They've done it multiple times.
- 1:59Russell mentioned one of those said times recently,
- 2:01but they've done it before that.
- 2:02So they're good at this.
- 2:04And it does become a very simple whose pitchers are better.
- 2:08And in the first two games of that series,
- 2:10unfortunately, the Rays pitchers seem to be better.
- 2:12But I think Cam Schlettler is the best pitcher in the thing.
- 2:16And I think he'll win the Cy Young and prove that.
- 2:18And I think if he gets a shot at game five,
- 2:20He'll look different and hopefully the defense behind them looks different, but we got to get there.
- 2:25Max Fried is a great game three starter.
- 2:28No one's going to deny that.
- 2:30And then game four having Garrett Cole come back, which to me is, it's also ridiculous.
- 2:34I complained about this on Dana show.
- 2:35I know it's not a sports show.
- 2:37I know people don't care.
- 2:38And I complained about it in a way that would hurt my team.
- 2:42I don't like how spread out the baseball playoffs are now.
- 2:46And I know they do that for TV money.
- 2:48I know they don't want to have all the games happen on the same day every time they want to happen at night
- 2:52They want to make more money, but I don't think it's fair
- 2:55I think that baseball and the playoffs was better when it mimicked the regular season more which game every day and
- 3:01In the world of being a wild card team and not a team that gets a buy in the first round
- 3:05Which is also stupid. I don't think baseball should have a buy at all
- 3:09But now that they do the world the wild card team shouldn't be able to align their best pitchers to pitch twice
- 3:14That shouldn't happen.
- 3:16You should play so many days in a row that you just can't pitch the best guys multiple
- 3:20times.
- 3:20It should have been Carlos Rodin, and he shouldn't have pitched yesterday, should have pitched
- 3:24two days ago, but I digress.
- 3:26Nonetheless, I'm hoping the Yankees come back and win this thing.
- 3:30Not a lot of people in Houston are hoping for that, and they're getting beat up the
- 3:33same way they beat up the Red Sox.
- 3:36I did also think it was interesting.
- 3:37I was listening to the press box coming in.
- 3:39I forgot that the White Sox won their World Series here and they celebrated on the field
- 3:45I totally forgot about that for the 2005 team and so it is interesting to think that the White Sox
- 3:51They look better than I thought they would I think the Rays might if they beat the Yankees wind up in the World Series
- 3:57But the Red the White Sox are playing like a team of destiny
- 4:00Somewhat similarly to how they did when they won the World Series before but I guess I'll say one last thing about baseball before we get into
- 4:09You know, not baseball stuff and political stuff and Hassan Piker crap that's out there
- 4:15I will just say that I think the National League's gonna win the World Series no matter what I
- 4:19Don't even know if it matters which team gets in if it's the you know
- 4:23Dodgers the brain matters if the Rays get in you think the Rays can beat the Dodgers do I do
- 4:28Why do you think that their pitching is great and they their offense is very scrap very gritty
- 4:33I I'd like the Rays you like the raid. Okay, so you obviously think they're gonna beat the Yankees
- 4:38I do. I do. Okay. Do you think they're going to beat the Yankees in game three?
- 4:41Or are we going to get at least a game four?
- 4:44Hmm. That's tough. That was a tough. That's tough.
- 4:47Smacks freed, man. Come on. Yeah, they're going to sweep them.
- 4:49Oh, my God. Look at that. Fine. That's fine.
- 4:52I'm sure people will be happy about that.
- 4:53But, yeah, the Rays do look better than I want them to look.
- 4:56If the Yankees get through the Rays somehow,
- 4:58would you change your opinion and believe the Yankees would win the World Series?
- 5:01Yes, because of their pitching. Their pitching is great.
- 5:03Pitching will always beat good hitting, especially in the postseason.
- 5:05Don't the Dodgers have the best staff in baseball?
- 5:07Dodgers got to get by the Braves. That's no gimme right now.
- 5:10That's no gimme. That's true.
- 5:12The series taught at one, and now they're going to Atlanta.
- 5:14I think whoever wins that series will win the World Series.
- 5:16My opinion is whoever of those two teams...
- 5:18I like the Brewers. The Brewers are fine.
- 5:20But I think that those two teams are most likely to be the ones that are celebrating come November.
- 5:27Could be. Could be.
- 5:28We'll see.
- 5:28And I hate saying that, because just as much as a lot of people here hate the Yankees, I hate the Dodgers.
- 5:33I think they're a terrible, awful team.
- 5:35Because, well, to be honest, they're doing exactly what the Yankees did in the late 2000s,
- 5:39early 90s, or late 90s, early 2000s, when they bought all the best players.
- 5:43That is exactly how the Dodgers are succeeding, and it annoys me,
- 5:47because my team's not doing it anymore.
- 5:48All right, we have stuff to get to. I do. I have non-baseball stuff.
- 5:52I don't want to talk about that. I'd love to do, like, a two-hour baseball show.
- 5:57I wonder if, like, the Astros were in the World Series.
- 6:00He's the program director. I'll ask Russell this question.
- 6:03If the Astros were in the World Series, would this time slot, which is Salcedo and everybody
- 6:08before him, before us, be allowed to do a two-hour sports show or no?
- 6:13World Series Astros.
- 6:14That would be a lot of talk.
- 6:16I mean, Texas Super Bowl, whatever.
- 6:17I mean, yeah, it would be a lot of sports talk.
- 6:19All right, so the Texas Super Bowl is never going to happen, I feel like.
- 6:22That team looks-
- 6:22Not going to happen this year.
- 6:23They look horrible.
- 6:25Not going to happen this year.
- 6:26I heard you ask one of the listeners that called into your show about C.J.
- 6:29It is really fascinating to think how people felt about him coming into this year and how likely people are to feel about him right now
- 6:36I think that a lot of people would be just fine with CJ
- 6:40Going away after this year not being the court some people would yes, you're not of that
- 6:44I'm not I still think he's a good quarterback. I think he's played well. I mean, it's not his fault
- 6:49They're 0 and 4. I mean you put a couple games on him, but it's just true
- 6:52Yeah, some of those interceptions aren't his fault either. No, they're not and he's played well, you know, he played well against Dallas
- 6:58I mean you scored 30 points you should win. Yeah, that's true. So should when you have supposedly having a leap defense you should win
- 7:04Yeah, that's true. At least they won't be in the playoffs from the fumble seven times. At least that won't happen
- 7:09This doesn't look like they'll be in the playoffs. Hey, come on. What are the chances?
- 7:12How would they have this season would be?
- 7:14I just can't kick a team down just yet when they went 0-3 last year and ripped off 12 out of
- 7:18I know 12 wins out of the last 14 games
- 7:21I just yeah, but now they're one game worse than before. Yeah, the holes getting dug even deeper
- 7:27this year. All right fine. That was fun. Okay so two-hour show if the Texans are
- 7:32in the Super Bowl or the Astros are in the World Series and then I'd have to
- 7:36just be quiet for those two hours. I'd let Wayne and Russell do most of the show
- 7:39because I wouldn't be able to talk. He's not his head too because as a Yankee
- 7:44fan I'm unwelcome in that environment. All right let's play some of the audio
- 7:47that I have some of the other things. I mentioned Hassan Piker. I'm gonna play
- 7:51that first. This is probably the oldest thing that's out there and I meant to
- 7:56play it last week and I just didn't get to it or Wayne and I didn't get to it
- 8:00and it's fascinating to me and if you don't know who Hassan Piker is because I
- 8:06I debate how many people actually know who this crap fest of an individual is
- 8:11if you listen to Abdul Al-Sayed who let him campaign with that person running
- 8:16for a race in Michigan now he is just some twitch streamer out of California
- 8:21but when they were running the race together Hassan Piker was this
- 8:24incredibly influential person on the democratic side of the aisle because that is true.
- 8:29He is an influencer who is succeeding at getting a lot of people at least on the left to listen to the stupid things that he says.
- 8:35And so he was recently talking about James Talarico and about what happens if Talarico wins Texas, which he praised, I don't know, Allah.
- 8:44This is Hassan Piker, that it would occur.
- 8:47But here, I'll play this audio first. Now, I just, I can't get over the fact that like this is real and that these are the things they're saying.
- 8:54out loud into microphones in public on cameras.
- 8:57This is the stuff they should be hiding.
- 8:59This is the stuff that should take that hidden camera in James Talrico's church that shows
- 9:04his pastor saying how crazy he is or someone else saying how crazy he is, but it's not.
- 9:09This is out in the open, a version of how Democrats expect to do whatever it is they
- 9:13intend to do.
- 9:15All right, hold on.
- 9:15I actually got to hit this.
- 9:16I got to hit the right button over here.
- 9:18I like to screen my audio right before the show.
- 9:21Just one last check through to make sure that no horrible words are said because Jake Tapper occasionally drops an F-bomb
- 9:28And you don't expect that on the CNN, but here we go. Hopefully insha Allah after James Talariga wins, okay
- 9:34Yeah
- 9:36After I'm I allowed I feel like I shouldn't even say that I feel like in the state of Texas is no Sharia state
- 9:41They're gonna they're gonna throw me in prison
- 9:45But yeah, hopefully after
- 9:47James Seligman wins, we got to hold him to account.
- 9:50We got to make sure that he doesn't become another do-nothing Democrat, business as usual,
- 9:56and we got to keep up that pressure.
- 9:59And we have to remind him that we are the force that backed him both early on, and we
- 10:06are the force that allowed him to win this seat of power.
- 10:10Yeah.
- 10:10That's all I have for you.
- 10:10If you hear that again, what he's saying is we are the force is the Democratic Socialists of America, the communists, the crazy people.
- 10:17We're the reason that James Talarico could win Texas. We flooded Texas with a bunch of money to help him win a race that he fundamentally does not deserve to win because he does not possess any of the belief system that is a typical Texans belief system.
- 10:33He is so antithetical to the everyday Texan way of life and a lot of the things he says
- 10:40and does that even just the the vegan stuff, which I do love that President Trump keeps
- 10:45calling it vegan and not vegan.
- 10:47I'm very amused by that.
- 10:49But this is just continuation of the ludicrous nature of talking about Talarico like he
- 10:56could actually represent Texas.
- 10:59I want to play part of the audio that's also gone viral from a debate he did years ago
- 11:02where he says crazy things and people are like,
- 11:06wait a minute, this guy?
- 11:07And now for two months he claims
- 11:09he doesn't believe this stuff.
- 11:09But I just have to keep reminding people about this.
- 11:13You might feel like when you listen to the show
- 11:14and actually we're late for a break.
- 11:16So we can take a break first and then I can go back
- 11:17and play the Talrico audio.
- 11:19But I'll say this to everybody who's like,
- 11:21man, he talks about Talrico a lot.
- 11:23I don't know what else to do.
- 11:25I don't know how to better help you,
- 11:28whoever you are out there,
- 11:29understand the catastrophic failure that it would be if James Talarico can become a senator from Texas.
- 11:36Because he barely deserves to be elected as a senator from California.
- 11:40Because of how far left he is, and yet we might, knock on wood we won't, but we might elect him here.
- 11:46And I can't understand it.
- 11:48Quick break, a lot more.
- 11:49This is KSEV mornings, the voice of Texas.

- 12:24James said that Trump was the one who was ultimately responsible for the incident.
- 12:28I know he's somehow to blame.

- 14:37That's each Sunday at 9 a.m. right here on AM700 KSEV.
- 14:50Do you know any undocumented immigrants?
- 14:53No, I do not.
- 14:54When I was a teacher on the west side of San Antonio, I taught a lot of students who were
- 14:59undocumented and I don't want to stereotype, but those students tended to be the most patriotic,
- 15:07the hardest working students that I had in the classroom.
- 15:09Oh, that's amazing.
- 15:09And again, I haven't stated this enough to say this definitively, but there are interpretations
- 15:15of certain passages from the Torah,
- 15:18where some folks will even say that there is a,
- 15:21there is some subtle instructions
- 15:24for how to perform an abortion in the ancient world,
- 15:26certain things to drink, things like that.
- 15:29Before we go further, I want to acknowledge
- 15:30that our trans community needs abortion care too.
- 15:34They don't.
- 15:35Extending trade taxes is something we have to do every day.
- 15:38At the state capitol.
- 15:40And you better believe I'll be giving sermons on that too.
- 15:42I want us all to be aware of is that that modern science obviously recognizes that there are many more than two
- 15:50Biological there are six is both mass look I'll stop right there. You've heard a lot of this before I know you have
- 15:55It's just crazy to hear him say it like a month ago or a few months ago on some of this stuff and say it
- 16:01So definitively because one of two things has to be true
- 16:04He was trying to garner support from the far left by saying things
- 16:09he didn't believe a few months ago,
- 16:11or he's trying to garner support by the middle
- 16:13for doing the exact opposite now.
- 16:15I believe it's the latter.
- 16:16I think that he believes all the stuff he was saying
- 16:19when he was a representative in Austin,
- 16:21and now that he's trying to be a state senator,
- 16:23or excuse me, an actual senator of our state,
- 16:27he suddenly doesn't believe all this stuff.
- 16:29Like all this stuff isn't true anymore.
- 16:31But either way, he's a lying piece of you know what,
- 16:33because he definitely doesn't wanna tell you
- 16:35what he actually thinks.
- 16:36If either of those things
- 16:37don't get him elected into a position of power.
- 16:40All right, I'll move on,
- 16:41but Talarico is someone I do have to keep talking about,
- 16:43and you can call in and be a part of the show.
- 16:46I feel like I've poo-pooed that too much,
- 16:49so I don't know if people don't want to call in now
- 16:51because I told them I don't really take a lot of calls.
- 16:54That's not the point.
- 16:55281-558-5738 is the phone number.
- 16:59281-558-5738, I'm just not used to it.
- 17:02It's just when I do a lot of the radio I do,
- 17:04they don't take calls.
- 17:05So I apologize if I don't throw that number out more tell you to call in more of a 281-558-5738
- 17:12I want to play some Bill Maher audio that I thought was really interesting just shifting gears
- 17:17Bill Maher was talking about the plane that had a hijacker on it with the intention of crashing and killing a whole bunch of people
- 17:25in Israel
- 17:27Essentially, it could have been a version of what happened to us on 9-11 but happening there
- 17:32And the reason it didn't happen is because of the heroic efforts of the pilot who got stabbed by his co-pilot and some other people
- 17:40Involved in this situation, but but it is sort of amazing to hear Bill Maher just the other day on his show
- 17:46Talk about how this story like blipped as far as it was in and then out of the news ecosystem
- 17:52And he thought to yourself like why did that go so quickly?
- 17:55Because, of course, the takeaway from a story like that was uniquely sympathetic to Israel
- 18:01and to Jewish people that someone would target them by being a co-pilot on a flight, stabbing
- 18:06somebody and wanting to steer that plane into some sort of public place where they could
- 18:11do mass casualty damage.
- 18:13There was no alternative version of that story.
- 18:16If you covered it, you had to be sympathetic to Israel and to Jewish people, and a whole
- 18:21lot of media didn't seem to want to do that.
- 18:24Bill Maher seemed to understand that.
- 18:25I think of the airline hijacking this week.
- 18:27I thought it would be a much bigger story if you didn't see it.
- 18:32First of all, let's pause for a minute to say a routine flight of Israeli, almost completely
- 18:38a plane full of Israelis from the United Arab Emirates.
- 18:43A routine would not have happened five years ago.
- 18:46I mean, that was part of the Abraham Accords.
- 18:47This is, and of course it was what happened was one of the pilots was a jihadist, tried
- 18:52to hijack the plane, stabbed the other pilot, and then as in Let's Roll, the one that we
- 18:59stopped here in this country on 9-11, the passengers took over and landed the plane
- 19:04safely.
- 19:06Here's a dirty question.
- 19:07Do you think if that plane full of Jews had crashed, the McLemore's of the world would
- 19:13be celebrating it?
- 19:15I actually don't think that's a dirty question at all.
- 19:16I think it's an inspired question because I do think there's a portion of people who
- 19:21would celebrate.
- 19:21I don't know that Macklemore, the musician who came out pro-Palestine, which isn't a place,
- 19:28but pro the people who live in the Gaza Strip. But nonetheless, there are a lot of people who
- 19:33probably would praise that, and that's horrific. And honestly, and I'll say this, because I've said
- 19:38it before on this show or other shows, I think a portion of it is, and I know this is a reoccurring
- 19:44theme when this topic comes up for me, but I think a portion of it is just anger at something else.
- 19:49and people are so bad at figuring out what actually makes them angry,
- 19:53and also figuring out how to solve the problem that they're angry about.
- 19:57They might be mad that they don't have enough money,
- 19:59that they don't have a house at whatever age they're at,
- 20:02that they don't have the car they think they should be driving.
- 20:05They just don't have the opportunities that they thought that they deserved,
- 20:08and so they're mad, and they don't know how to solve that problem.
- 20:12So instead, they find something to scream and yell at that they think is controlling
- 20:17some part of society in a way that feels similar to how they feel out of control
- 20:21their own life. There's so few people.
- 20:31Like there are a lot and I should say that differently because people of different generations, older generations, the millennial Gen Z, they're better at this.
- 20:40But agency of your own life is something that I see really missing from a lot of people and I try to think about why.
- 20:49But I'd almost love to hear from you on this topic too, if you can figure out a reason why.
- 20:54The first thing I've come up with is that potentially people who see the opportunities
- 21:00in their life be connected to likes and comments on social media.
- 21:05You have to remember this.
- 21:06The youngest generation that is a professional now, the younger Gen Z people, grew up with
- 21:12social media and they watched people of their age, however old they were, because young people
- 21:18do this, that went viral, became famous in millionaires based on likes and clicks on
- 21:23social media. I mean, if you scroll through TikTok, and I don't know how many people that
- 21:28listen to this station and the show actually use TikTok, but if you scroll through TikTok,
- 21:32one unfortunate thing you will see a lot of is what sometimes appears to be underage,
- 21:38but mostly like 20 something women trying really hard to get attention by just being
- 21:44provocative because there are people that have a huge following that make a lot of money
- 21:49based on putting up pictures of themselves
- 21:52in scantily clad outfits and whatnot,
- 21:54that's always been the case on the internet.
- 21:56It more so seems to me to be what a young person's
- 22:00reality is as to what success looks like.
- 22:03And then as you get older, if you don't get likes
- 22:05and clicks yourself, or hopefully you don't sell yourself
- 22:09in some way that you'll regret and you shouldn't do it,
- 22:11so hopefully a lot of people wind up preventing
- 22:14that temptation from being a reality in their lives,
- 22:17but then you get to be older and you're like,
- 22:18well, why didn't I get the clicks?
- 22:19Why didn't I get the likes?
- 22:20Why am I not famous?
- 22:21Why don't I have millions of followers and tons of money
- 22:25and you blame something else?
- 22:27Because the algorithm, whatever the thing was
- 22:29on the internet that prevented you from being famous,
- 22:32which honestly, it's more like a lottery.
- 22:34Like so few people I think actually take off.
- 22:37And once you start to succeed,
- 22:39the internet feeds that success.
- 22:41If you put up videos that get 20,000, 30,000 views,
- 22:45in the first couple of weeks you're on social media,
- 22:48social media will prioritize the rest of your views because they think it
- 22:51benefits them. They're like look at this person taking off and so that's really
- 22:55at the heart of it. It's been at the heart of podcasting for a long time too.
- 22:59One of the reasons they say Joe Rogan is so successful is he's been doing it
- 23:02for so long that he built an audience that's very different than people who
- 23:07start out today. If you launch a new thing right now the odds of you
- 23:11becoming Joe Rogan in a few months are terrible. But I think that that's an
- 23:14interesting potential cause for young people to not blame themselves when they don't succeed.
- 23:21I put up the video.
- 23:23I thought I was going to get all the likes and hits and I become famous and it didn't
- 23:26work and that is the first version of someone else is in control and not me.
- 23:32And then they demand to be given things that they didn't earn, that they don't deserve.
- 23:36Because if you didn't get the interactions you wanted in whatever place it was, again,
- 23:40I'm couching a lot of this discussion
- 23:43Specifically in social media, but if you didn't get the interactions you wanted you're gonna blame everybody but you but maybe your content wasn't good
- 23:48Maybe the thing you were putting up just wasn't interesting to enough people that they didn't want to go check it out
- 23:54They didn't want to see it and you failed because you put a bad thing
- 23:58Or not a quality product out there in the world. You didn't fail because of somebody else. I hear that a lot too
- 24:04It's one last thing
- 24:05I'll say because this this does go way beyond generations to me
- 24:10I hear a lot of people talk about how how social media throttles them
- 24:13I
- 24:14Meaning they believe that their political opinion is the reason that social media
- 24:17Doesn't allow them to be seen by more people and that was absolutely true
- 24:21For a really long time on a lot of these platforms and still is true on some of them
- 24:26But there's platforms that are now an exception to that rule like X like like Twitter now owned by Elon Musk who definitely does not
- 24:34that silenced the right.
- 24:36And so it's kind of funny when I talked to like a buddy of mine like, oh yeah, man, I
- 24:38can't get going.
- 24:40You know, they just hate my opinion.
- 24:41Because I'm like, you're just picking the wrong platform.
- 24:44A rumble was built by conservatives.
- 24:46It's a reason that we are on YouTube and rumble and X. And I don't like really being on Facebook,
- 24:52because I think Facebook does still potentially screw you compared to the other ones.
- 24:57But whatever it is, like there's platforms for it.
- 24:59So try it, put it out there, you know, go gangbuster on the ones that allow it.
- 25:03and then bring it to the other places,
- 25:05because that quality also winds up speaking volumes
- 25:09and getting you the traction you want all over the place.
- 25:12But nonetheless, I'm not actually trying to coach people
- 25:14to be more successful in social media,
- 25:16because I do think it's the devil.
- 25:18I know I'm on it at Radio Craig C.
- 25:20You can follow me on all the platforms.
- 25:22I think it's one of the biggest things harming most of us
- 25:24in our society, and certainly young people.
- 25:26And I think that's one avenue how.
- 25:29We'll talk about that more maybe at some point
- 25:30later on the show.
- 25:31So I do want to talk about a ballot harvesting scam that was exposed via social media and
- 25:38a video with Steve Hilton that I thought was fascinating.
- 25:41All that and more in just a bit.
- 25:42This is KSEV Mornings on The Voice of Texas.
- 25:46My name is Craig Coglianese.
- 25:47Craig Coglianese, I'm solo today.
- 25:49More after this.
- 26:04the state of Texas versus Juan
- 26:07and Mary Sanchez, the charge?
- 26:09Child abuse for refusing to
- 26:11recognize their son as a girl.
- 26:14Sounds insane, right?
- 26:16Well, Gina Inahosa supports
- 26:17the radical policy of taxpayers
- 26:19paying for sex change surgery
- 26:21for kids and the assault
- 26:23on parental rights.
- 26:25And Inahosa believes schools
- 26:26should be able to transition
- 26:28children behind their parents' backs.
- 26:30But that's just the beginning.
- 26:32Gina Hinojosa supports allowing boys and girls sports
- 26:35and in their locker rooms.
- 26:37It's gross, unfair, and harmful to girls.
- 26:40And what does Gina Hinojosa say about it?
- 26:43Listen to this.
- 26:44I really don't understand how girls would be hurt by this.
- 26:47A threat to our little girls that doesn't exist.
- 26:51Gina Hinojosa, radical, dangerous.

- 28:40warm weather with the sun breaking through clouds sporadically reaching a high of 91.

- 28:55Joe Lundberg.
- 29:06Yeah, I know you can't hear the music on the Internet. At Radio Craig C, this is KSEV
- 29:14morning on The Voice of Texas. My name is Craig Coglianese. The guy that would be sitting
- 29:20across from me at least digitally is Wayne Dolcefino, but he's not here. He had a dentist
- 29:25appointment yesterday and he texted me this morning that it didn't go well. I think it
- 29:29went fine. I think he's okay. It's just the after effects of going to the dentist and
- 29:34then dealing with even the next day pain. I wouldn't want to do a radio show if I went
- 29:39to the dentist and had a procedure the day before. I'd want to skip a day. And so Wayne
- 29:43kind of told me he was planning on sleeping in. What I love about that, I'll just say
- 29:48this quickly because he didn't say it in his messages, but he could have, like he could
- 29:52show up halfway through. We could easily facilitate that. Russell and I, if Wayne doesn't want
- 29:57to be here at seven, but he wants to be here at 815, we can get that done. However Wayne
- 30:03Dolcefino wants to do it, it can happen. So at some point I'll tell him that, like he
- 30:07could do a fly by where he's literally here for like 20 minutes and then bounce. It's
- 30:12totally fine. For both me and Russell, we can we can figure that out. We can make that
- 30:17happen. We have all the buttons to press. So I probably need to tell them that. Before
- 30:20I get back to serious stuff, including I said a piece of audio I think is really informative
- 30:26when it comes to how some voter registration ballot harvesting voter fraud occurs.
- 30:33I'm going to do a quick-ish five or rapid fire, I think is what I'm now calling this on this show,
- 30:39which is where we do stuff that's not necessarily political news because I need the palate cleanser pretty bad.
- 30:45I saw a few things that went viral that I thought were crazy. The first one is this. It is a groom in
- 30:51Australia that forgot the name of the woman he was marrying and when he blurted out a name,
- 30:57It was the sister of the woman he's marrying. This is like a friends TV show moment kind of thing
- 31:03But it happened in real life and it went very viral
- 31:07And several people in social media asked the question like would you go through with the marriage?
- 31:11There's almost nothing you could do
- 31:12I think when you're at the altar marrying someone that could in that that's how to not show up that in that moment would cause
- 31:19You to no longer want to do it. This might be the other thing you could do
- 31:23Take B.
- 31:24Take B.
- 31:25I'm a gross pumper.
- 31:26Emily, gross pumper.
- 31:27Emma.
- 31:28Emma, gross pumper.
- 31:29Yeah, I know.
- 31:31Whoops.
- 31:31Whoopsie, whoopsie.
- 31:33It's the wrong person.
- 31:34You said the wrong person there.
- 31:35So do over, and then keep being married to this new person
- 31:39that you're getting married to.
- 31:41And I imagine the sister gets invited to less stuff.
- 31:43I also imagine if this guy and the sister
- 31:46go somewhere for some amount of time,
- 31:48that the brand new bride doesn't allow them to be alone.
- 31:52This has really happened.
- 31:53a guy flubbed the name and still gets married.
- 31:57I can't even fad, like I get in trouble with my wife
- 31:59for things that pale in comparison to this.
- 32:02If I ever once called her one of her sister's names,
- 32:04either sister, older or younger,
- 32:06I think I would be in trouble for weeks.
- 32:08I think I would sleep outside for maybe a month.
- 32:11Also this, I kind of find this interesting.
- 32:13And granted, I'm gonna assume a whole lot of people
- 32:16don't know the newer artists here for a musician.
- 32:19They might know the other artists in this.
- 32:22I'm assuming a lot of people actually know the other artist in this one, but this is not the
- 32:26first musician this year to be accused of stealing a whole lot of music from other people,
- 32:33famous people. There's another fairly new musician out there who's getting a lot of attention
- 32:37that's doing the same thing, like two women that are solo vocalists. And I'm going to make an
- 32:42assumption before I hit play on this. I think there's a lot of younger people in music right
- 32:48now who don't even really know how to play instruments.
- 32:51So they kind of come up with songs based on lyrics and maybe just singing the lyrics.
- 32:56And I think your brain, if you don't know how to play instruments, will probably just
- 33:00put your words to some other song.
- 33:03You might not even do it intentionally.
- 33:04You might very well do it intentionally, but I imagine you also could do it by accident.
- 33:08And then you find musicians, they play the music for you.
- 33:12Some of them should probably notice that it's eerily similar to something else.
- 33:15and then you put it out there and then you get in trouble.
- 33:18But this is Olivia Dean,
- 33:20who's being accused of borrowing heavily from Bill Withers
- 33:23because it sounds like she did.
- 33:25And she just won a Grammy as the best new artist.
- 33:29And she's pretty, and I think she actually
- 33:30either just came to Houston or will be coming to Houston.
- 33:34Even if you don't know who she is,
- 33:35I admit that as a vocalist, I think she's pretty talented,
- 33:38but you be the judge.
- 33:40I know this is the kind of thing
- 33:41we're not supposed to play on the internet, but screw it.
- 33:44I'll turn off the uh the ding from a youtube after the fact. You tell me if these songs sound too similar
- 33:50Um because they're by totally different people one of which is gonna pretend she wrote it when she definitely didn't
- 33:56I see the crystal raindrops fall and the beauty of it all is when the sun comes shining through
- 34:06I've heard it laced in every song
- 34:08Oh
- 34:09Still the words are coming wrong
- 34:11Uh-oh.
- 34:12Doesn't always answer when you call.
- 34:15I see the crystal raindrops fall and the beauty.
- 34:20Yeah, that's just the two of us.
- 34:21Both of us.
- 34:22I'll play a little bit more of it,
- 34:22but that's literally the same song.
- 34:25Different musician, different words, but nothing changed.
- 34:28When the sun comes shining through.
- 34:32I've heard it laced in every song.
- 34:35Still the words all come out wrong.
- 34:38Those are always awesome when you call.
- 34:42I'm going to admit something awkward on the radio show
- 34:44this morning, and I'm just going to do it,
- 34:45because that's what makes radio good sometimes,
- 34:47is oversharing.
- 34:49In high school, I wrote what, at first I thought,
- 34:52this was weird, it was lame.
- 34:54At first I thought it was poetry.
- 34:55So I wrote poems.
- 34:57And there was this girl that I liked,
- 34:58I wrote a poem about her.
- 34:59It helped me get her attention,
- 35:00so I kind of think that was a success,
- 35:02if I'm being totally honest.
- 35:03She liked the poem, and that's all that matters,
- 35:05because if you swing and miss there,
- 35:07you're definitely not gonna have a shot with a girl.
- 35:09You write a poem, you tell it to about her.
- 35:11She doesn't like you.
- 35:12She doesn't like the thing.
- 35:14It's over, but that's not how that went.
- 35:16And then I just turned it into music in high school
- 35:19and I would just like sing my lyrics or my words
- 35:23to like a few buddies who knew how to play instruments
- 35:26and they play the instruments around what I thought was good.
- 35:29And I wasn't very good singer.
- 35:30I'm not gonna pretend I'm a good musician,
- 35:33but looking back on any of that stuff,
- 35:35I'm almost certain that all of it was lifted from famous people like everything I wrote
- 35:40I just sang a Rolling Stones song and I just added my lyrics to it because I think that's what a lot of people do and
- 35:46I think in the digital the tick-tock whatever age if you don't know how to play an instrument and you do this
- 35:51There's a good chance you might sadly wind up fairly famous for a thing. You don't deserve any fame for it
- 35:57But she's not the only one
- 35:58I think Laufey is the name of the other girl that's been accused of doing this like six or seven times and she recently won a Grammy
- 36:04me too, so at least they're not alone.
- 36:07Let's go to some serious things.
- 36:09Let's do some actual news, or at least political news.
- 36:12Steve Hilton recently talked about a solar panel scam.
- 36:17It's a nonprofit that was getting people solar panels on low-income housing that really was
- 36:22designed to get you to sign up to vote and then probably get you to vote for a certain
- 36:27candidate.
- 36:27It was ballot harvesting, tremendous scam, one of several that exists out there, legal
- 36:33Illegal in some places, illegal in other places like in Texas, but unfortunately it is legal
- 36:38in some parts of our country.
- 36:40All kinds of crazy things, like California itself.
- 36:43And actually why don't we play that audio too?
- 36:44So I have audio of Scott Jennings crapping all over how California works as far as registering
- 36:49people to vote.
- 36:50So we'll do this one first from Steve Hilton, then we'll do the Jennings one.
- 36:54But when President Trump says that elections are fraudulent and stolen from him, I don't
- 37:00know if he's articulating it the way I'd want him to, because I'd talk about this stuff,
- 37:05this stuff that's legal in some places that definitely seems to intentionally get one
- 37:11side more represented in elections and in voting throughout the country.
- 37:15Here we go.
- 37:16They have this program from this scheme for installing solar panels on low income apartment
- 37:23buildings.
- 37:24It was $100 million a year since 2015.
- 37:27Right.
- 37:28So we use AI tools to audit this.
- 37:31So that's in by 2025, that's $1 billion.
- 37:35Billion bucks.
- 37:37We found of that $1 billion,
- 37:40the actual amount that you could find the invoices
- 37:43for solar panel installation, $72 million,
- 37:48$928 million, most of the billion dollars
- 37:50went to nonprofits doing environmental justice community.
- 37:56When you look at what that is, it's the same old story voter registration
- 38:01Ballot harvest so it's a scam doing is taking taxpayer money
- 38:06Putting it into these nonprofits that sound like they're working for good
- 38:12Policy objectives of course, but actually what they're doing with it is put it's building the political machine
- 38:18Yeah, and here's what I like about this because because as he described that there's a whole bunch of people who probably listen to this show
- 38:23And listen to Sal Sato for years
- 38:24They're like, duh, I know this.
- 38:26But you might not know this specific roadmap right now via the solar panel installation
- 38:33initiative that gets a billion bucks over 10 years and winds up doling out 920-something
- 38:38million of that to other nonprofits that are doing stuff completely different that essentially
- 38:42is just trying to get people to vote for Democrats any way that they can.
- 38:46And it's very similar to the Talrico audio from one of his campaign people, or I think
- 38:50a super PAC person that went viral that was saying that they were paying people 25 bucks
- 38:56to vote for Democrats.
- 38:57They were doing it in a roundabout way, but they were doing it.
- 39:00This stuff happens constantly.
- 39:02And then I actually also have Scott Jennings, as I said, crapping all over California on
- 39:07CNN because darn it, they deserve it.
- 39:09He's saying they mail out a lot of ballots in California and they have this system in
- 39:13California called ballot harvesting where someone can go to someone's house and carry
- 39:18that ballot to the polls.
- 39:19It's not the voter.
- 39:19This system ought to be punted into the Sun because they inherently this makes some ballots less secure
- 39:27It makes voting less secure the way they do it in California and their people on both sides of the aisle who agree that the system is
- 39:33Terror. Yeah, it's just one system. That's terrible when I was living in Chicago, Illinois
- 39:37I remember having a bunch of conversations and again with like lefties about how great
- 39:43Certain ballot harvesting initiatives were you could show up at a retirement home
- 39:47and this is legal in that state and in that city,
- 39:50walk through it, tell a bunch of older people
- 39:53who might not really know what they're doing
- 39:55to sign a document and vote for certain people
- 39:57and then go mail that ballot as a early mail-in vote.
- 40:03And it's crazy how often people did that.
- 40:05And honestly, some of the documentaries out there
- 40:07that got trashed for what people claimed
- 40:10was inaccurate information absolutely demonstrated
- 40:14one human dropping off like a hundred ballots into a ballot box in places throughout this
- 40:19country that doesn't seem right. And the same people, via some of that cell phone tracking data,
- 40:25did it multiple times a weekend or a month. Like one person was dropping off hundreds of ballots
- 40:30every day. And you're like, wait a minute, how does this person have access to so many nursing homes
- 40:34and how many of those ballots are on one side of the aisle? We know from mail-in balloting data in
- 40:40general that a vast majority of mail-in ballots go toward Democrats.
- 40:45Surprise, surprise to say the very least.
- 40:47But I just think that's really interesting.
- 40:49That when you have that conversation about an initiative that claims it's on the up and up,
- 40:54and this is the thing that Democrats get up in arms about and pretend Republicans are bad people for not supporting.
- 41:00Like how dare you not want to give cheap energy to people that are in low-income apartments.
- 41:06We can build solar panels on top of those apartments and give people a sweet, sweet relief from paying a bunch of money for their electricity.
- 41:14and then almost none of that money actually goes to that thing that also I
- 41:18didn't really care about to begin with. All right quick break we'll take a quick
- 41:22break we'll come back I have another piece of audio I do want to play Abdul
- 41:26Al Said he got leveled by Martha McCallum on Fox and I thought that was
- 41:30awesome so I want to play that audio and then also I do want to have a
- 41:34conversation about some of the other things going on beyond politics here in
- 41:38Texas or here in Houston but at the same time I thought Senator Betancourt was
- 41:43great. I interviewed him yesterday on Dana's show and we talked a lot about property taxes
- 41:50and how that's one of the many scams just like the solar panel scam that's out there
- 41:53right now. So we'll touch on that too. All that coming up in more in just a bit. This
- 41:58is KSEV mornings, the voice of Texas. I'm Craig Coglianese as your solo host.

- 43:06As a Texan, you deserve your court system to deliver justice that is fair, understandable,
- 43:11and within reach. Chief Justice Jimmy Blacklock says that starts with judges applying the
- 43:16law as written, so the rules don't change depending on who walks into the courtroom.
- 43:21But fairness also means a court system that works for the people it serves. Blacklock
- 43:25has called for reducing unnecessary delays and expenses, simplifying court procedures,
- 43:30and making legal services more affordable.
- 43:34Because a case should be decided on the facts and the law,
- 43:37not on who can afford the longest fight.
- 43:40Texas courts belong to the people.
- 43:41That means judges should be accountable,
- 43:43rules should be clear,
- 43:45and the system should be accessible to those who rely on it.
- 43:48For Blacklock, equal justice means more than a principle.
- 43:51It means a court system Texans can understand,
- 43:54trust, and afford to use.
- 43:56Chief Justice Jimmy Blacklock,
- 43:58Clear rules, accountable courts, equal justice under law.

- 45:13Hey, STV radio. This is the voice of Texas.
- 45:17My name is Craig Coglianese. That's my real last name.
- 45:20I sometimes go by Craig Coglianese as well on the radio still at least when I fill in on national shows
- 45:25I got to fix that too. I guess
- 45:27Part of your morning show Wayne Dolcefino on special assignment today
- 45:32I want to just quickly mention what I thought and what my wife thought were like explosions yesterday that were happening
- 45:38Oh, we live in Houston on the South West side
- 45:42Also, I don't get too specific
- 45:44But we heard a lot of like really loud noises and I haven't seen any report
- 45:48that that was actually a thing.
- 45:50Like I don't know if a truck just fell over.
- 45:52I don't know what happened,
- 45:53but there were like three times around nine o'clock at night.
- 45:56And I think the third one was the one that was most
- 45:59convincingly not just like an automobile,
- 46:01where like a huge boom happened.
- 46:04And I kept like wondering what news I would even go to
- 46:07to find it.
- 46:08Like we didn't immediately turn on the TV and switch to
- 46:10whatever the news station was.
- 46:12Cause I don't know that they'd cover it.
- 46:14Plus I was watching the Yankees.
- 46:15I was watching the Yankees get beat up,
- 46:16which was sad on another level.
- 46:18And I thought the first one would might have just been in my brain like the first of what the three noises were
- 46:22But I'm curious if anybody else heard that if anybody else that lives here in the Houston area of
- 46:29This signal heard what they also thought were like explosions that happened
- 46:35Please go ahead and call in
- 46:37Because I would like to hear from you and have you tell me what the heck it was because I'm still not aware of what
- 46:42It was but if not, then you know, we'll just keep going
- 46:46That's fine. And you can call in for any reason if you want.
- 46:49281-558-5738.
- 46:52281-558-5738.
- 46:54I do a bad job of asking for telephone calls,
- 46:57but I should probably try to do that a little more.
- 47:00Although I'm still not used to them.
- 47:02I'm still fine.
- 47:03Nope, I'm going to take away the thing I just said.
- 47:05All right, let's do other things.
- 47:06Let's move on immediately so I don't get myself in any trouble.
- 47:10Abdul Al Said was leveled by Martha McCallum.
- 47:12As I said, coming into this segment,
- 47:14I loved this. I thought this was incredible. Let's go and hit play on this
- 47:19All I'm gonna be talking about is get money out of politics. It starts with getting money out of politics
- 47:23The man's are also passionate about money out of politics and because the money in politics is about spending lots
- 47:30Okay, so here you are in Los Angeles with the Soros family
- 47:32So my question is how is this not taking money from billionaire?
- 47:37Marks and power brokers. So when individuals want to give to my campaign, I welcome their support. You know what? I don't do
- 47:43I don't call corporations. I don't call APAC.
- 47:46They spent, they spent, let me just finish my point.
- 47:48In my primary, I got outspent 11 to one,
- 47:5111 to one, $70 million from outside super PACs,
- 47:56from APAC, from corporations, Big Pharma, Big Tech,
- 47:58DT, our local utility company.
- 48:00You know who I've never called?
- 48:02I've never called one of them.
- 48:03Here's the difference.
- 48:04When you take their money and then you're in a position
- 48:08to govern on their issues, guess what happens?
- 48:10You turn a blind eye you vote 19 times to keep prescription drug prices high
- 48:14Individuals want to support a campaign that's different Mike Rogers
- 48:19How much money has he taken from corporate super PACs? How much money is he taking from a pack?
- 48:23This is how much money has he taken throughout his career?
- 48:25I think that there's a big difference here the argument you're making is one that I think resonates with a lot of people across the country
- 48:31I think people do feel that lobbyists and corporate money in politics is
- 48:35is really removing the process from, you know, representing your constituents and your state
- 48:40the way you want to.
- 48:42But you know, Chuck Schumer's path pack gave your campaign $30 million.
- 48:46Do you know where that money comes from?
- 48:47It comes from corporations.
- 48:48Of course it does.
- 48:49So I mean, sooner or later, you're taking money that is linking back to and you don't
- 48:54think that those interests, those people are going to circle back around to you.
- 48:58The question I'll stop right there.
- 48:59And I love that it started with George Soros too, because like Soros wants some stuff.
- 49:03I don't care if the money that's in huge numbers comes from a super pack or
- 49:07Human and a lot of the reasons it doesn't come from just some dude is they want to hide who they are
- 49:13They don't want you to know that like I'm George Soros and I'm handing all this money over
- 49:16But when you're in Abdul Al Said and you're like, I won't do it. I won't take from the super pack
- 49:22You just find other avenues around it. It's amazing to me to listen to people
- 49:27You know what here? Let me let me do it this way
- 49:31Here's what I envision being the way that people plan their talking points on the left.
- 49:37They ask the question first, what's the loophole to the thing I want to claim I'm against?
- 49:42And somebody else walks them through what the loophole is.
- 49:44They're like, oh no, it's fine.
- 49:46We can build solar panels, but then give all the money to other nonprofits that are trying
- 49:50to get people registered to vote for Democrats.
- 49:53They always know the version.
- 49:54Oh, you don't have to enrich yourself in the White House or in whatever version of, you
- 50:00know, political position you're in.
- 50:02If you're Joe Biden, you can just give the money to your niece and your family members.
- 50:06And Hunter can be worth a ton of money both times you're in office.
- 50:09Like, that's fine.
- 50:10That's totally different.
- 50:11That's not the same as enriching yourself.
- 50:13You're putting the money in a bank account that has somebody else's name on it.
- 50:16So very often I think how they do it is they go, all right, tell me the loophole first.
- 50:21Let me make sure that that makes sense so I can keep doing the thing I say that I'm against and now that I know about it
- 50:27Let me go say I'm against the thing that I'm still taking advantage of and this is case in point with Abdul
- 50:32I'll say you taking 30 million dollars
- 50:35From a Chuck Schumer backed organization and then claiming that you didn't get any corporate money is beyond stupid.
- 50:43And I loved even in the video if anybody's watching on social media and saw it on YouTube, we're on X, we're on Rumble, as far as the platforms that we stream on on a regular basis.
- 50:53But if you saw it, like Abdul said, he even made a face when she said, of course it came from corporations like it didn't.
- 50:59And by the way, these people who are incredibly rich own corporations.
- 51:03So even if they don't write the check through their company, they still write the check
- 51:07to you and assume that their company is going to get an attaboy, a benefit of some point
- 51:13to be truly, truly someone who's immune to the demands of the people who helped you get
- 51:17elected.
- 51:18And I played this earlier in the show and maybe I'll play it again in the second hour.
- 51:22There's also the Hassan Pikers of the world now who think that they're so important as
- 51:27an influencer that if they help you get elected, even without giving you any money themselves,
- 51:31that they're also going to want some stuff for you.
- 51:33But whoever it is that thinks that they're responsible for the thing you are now, they're
- 51:38going to want a slice and they're going to want the slice as soon as they can have it.
- 51:42Oh, which is a may, I'll say something about that.
- 51:44Because I've thought about that before in my own life.
- 51:48There are times where people give you a leg up, they give you an opportunity, whatever
- 51:51it might be.
- 51:52It happens.
- 51:53Someone will do you a favor.
- 51:54And what I find interesting are the people I know in my life who never act as though that favor
- 52:00Deserves to be reciprocated, you know, like and this is a mob guy mentality
- 52:05They'll throw out there on the mob guy show
- 52:06there are people that'll do something and just
- 52:09Assume that their part in the process is over and if you if you do a bunch with whatever they gave you awesome
- 52:15Like they don't care there are other people I know in my life or in my family even as the East Coast Italian
- 52:21that if you do them a favor or if they do you one,
- 52:25they're expecting one back
- 52:26and they're expecting it back pretty soon.
- 52:28And they kind of think you're a jerk if you don't do it.
- 52:31And I imagine most of these people
- 52:33who randomly support someone politically
- 52:35and don't even really do it for,
- 52:38in a line belief system.
- 52:40Like when they talk about President Trump,
- 52:41I'll just say this right before the break,
- 52:43at one point donating to Democrats,
- 52:46a lot of what people say when he was a business leader
- 52:49in New York and he was doing that,
- 52:50is that he was kind of getting himself in the system,
- 52:53that maybe he was spying on the bad guys
- 52:55in an interesting way.
- 52:57I doubt that's true.
- 52:58I'll tell you that he was probably doing
- 52:59a smart business thing in New York,
- 53:01that he was donating to people
- 53:03that might benefit him somehow politically
- 53:05when he's in the position he's in as an organization
- 53:08in a deeply blue place.
- 53:10He doesn't have to believe the things
- 53:12that he's writing the check for someone to believe.
- 53:14He wants his company to benefit the way
- 53:16anybody who owns a company would want them to.
- 53:18I think that's potentially what he did we see that all the time and we see it now even more so in the ways that they
- 53:25Try to go around the obvious route of doing it so they can claim they're against it. We're still benefiting from it
- 53:31We really do need to fix that
- 53:33We really do need to fix the people have disproportionate amounts of power because of the amount of money they can throw at anybody
- 53:40And yet, I don't know how we do to be honest a little bit of me
- 53:43Because if you have that much money and you want to throw it around to benefit your company
- 53:47I kind of think you've earned it.
- 53:49I kind of think you've earned that ability to do it.
- 53:50I'm not advocating for this system
- 53:52because I think it's good.
- 53:53I'm just saying that it's a byproduct
- 53:55of being incredibly successful and wealthy.
- 53:57You might get more of what you want
- 53:59by paying some people to do you some favors.
- 54:01That's a mob guy thing.
- 54:03I just wish it wasn't that case.
- 54:04All right, quick break, a lot coming up on the show.
- 54:07I'm thrilled to be with you as always
- 54:08on a morning here by myself today.
- 54:12Wayne Dolcefino, I think will be back tomorrow.
- 54:14I will play some audio from JD Vance
- 54:16coming up right after this on The Voice of Texas.
