- 0:17Speaker 1: We're Sure to Glory podcast Hunter and Sorry for Naked.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Austin rose to Coda three like Jackson weeks back, joining
- 0:23Speaker 1: us on the pod. It's Rutgers week. Nebraska's four and one.
- 0:29Speaker 1: That feels great to say Ruggers or no Dak and
- 0:34Speaker 1: I had the recap pot on Sunday. Austin, we missed
- 0:38Speaker 1: you syday after that thrilling win over Purdue, I can tell.
- 0:48Speaker 2: That the podcast probably just wasn't the same. We probably
- 0:50Speaker 2: lost a couple of fans, you know, worried that I
- 0:53Speaker 2: wasn't coming back, But you know, being in the ones
- 0:56Speaker 2: of Michigan wasn't too bad either.
- 0:58Speaker 3: I can't believe you missed after All Time Football Game
- 1:02Speaker 3: batt'ld be on ESPN Classic for years.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I'm sure I did. I listened to it on the
- 1:08Speaker 2: radio because we didn't have enough perception to actually get
- 1:11Speaker 2: actually able to watch it, so we were able to
- 1:15Speaker 2: turning on the radio and girl some Venison Burgers sitting
- 1:18Speaker 2: out in the woods. So it's pretty good.
- 1:20Speaker 1: A lot of radio listeners this week. I was a
- 1:23Speaker 1: radio listener.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I kind of like it. It's fun.
- 1:27Speaker 4: I'm actually withy on that one.
- 1:29Speaker 2: I just don't like Damon. If Damon could just not
- 1:32Speaker 2: be our color guy, that'd be great. Not a fan.
- 1:35Speaker 5: I don't like Damon Benning.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I don't like Damon Benning. No, it's bad, too positive
- 1:43Speaker 2: and he tries to be clever and it just did
- 1:46Speaker 2: not work. His his number stick this year for some reason.
- 1:49Speaker 2: It's bad trying to add up the Jersey numbers to
- 1:52Speaker 2: make six.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Did Davison get booted because the whole Scott Frost thing or.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I don't know if they were actually officially there was
- 2:02Speaker 2: ever a good story about that.
- 2:03Speaker 1: But he's a nil guy. Now he's the head of
- 2:06Speaker 1: the collective nineteen ten collective, working hard.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Get that.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Jack's sure you watched the game?
- 2:15Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 2:16Speaker 1: Today, Give us your thoughts. I guess we haven't talked
- 2:19Speaker 1: to you for a few weeks. Give us your thoughts
- 2:20Speaker 1: and where we're at.
- 2:22Speaker 5: I feel yeah so far for and one Yeah, I
- 2:26Speaker 5: mean gotta win. Boy. The first half was frustrating. It
- 2:31Speaker 5: just I was. I was.
- 2:33Speaker 6: I wasn't very happy. I probably wasn't very fun guy
- 2:36Speaker 6: to be around. In the stands. I so sitting next
- 2:38Speaker 6: to Arnie. He was to my left, and usually he
- 2:42Speaker 6: doesn't like it too much when you are negative but
- 2:44Speaker 6: he wasn't very happy either, and then my fiance was
- 2:48Speaker 6: on my right and.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Hats off to Perdue.
- 2:51Speaker 6: I mean, I was in a majority Nebraska section, but
- 2:54Speaker 6: it I mean it was a sellout. It was there's
- 2:57Speaker 6: a lot of people there are read too, Okay, so
- 3:01Speaker 6: get this. So that's all people ask me, Like, was
- 3:04Speaker 6: it forty percent Nebraska? I'm colorblind, so I.
- 3:07Speaker 5: Like, I'm looking.
- 3:08Speaker 6: I can tell if you're a Nebraska fan, if you're
- 3:09Speaker 6: right next to me looking out in the stadium and
- 3:12Speaker 6: saying it's majority red over black, like red and black
- 3:14Speaker 6: just blends into me.
- 3:15Speaker 5: So I'm like, God, I don't know.
- 3:18Speaker 6: But no, it was first half obviously frustrating. You know,
- 3:23Speaker 6: I will say this. I thought about this on the
- 3:24Speaker 6: drive over here. I looked and Buddy from Beatrice was
- 3:29Speaker 6: there too, Jesse gainrich San.
- 3:30Speaker 5: I looked at her. I said, we're not going to
- 3:32Speaker 5: win this game. We're just there's no way we're going
- 3:34Speaker 5: to win this game.
- 3:34Speaker 6: When it was zero to zero and we had the
- 3:36Speaker 6: debacles on special teams, I was like, we don't win
- 3:39Speaker 6: this game.
- 3:40Speaker 5: We're not.
- 3:41Speaker 6: We usually don't, So, you know, I guess if there's
- 3:44Speaker 6: a silver lining to it, as we ended up winning
- 3:46Speaker 6: by eighteen. I mean, I would take any team on
- 3:50Speaker 6: the schedule we play for the rest of the year
- 3:52Speaker 6: and the rest of the time that Nebraska fields a
- 3:54Speaker 6: football team that we win by eighteen every game, I
- 3:56Speaker 6: take it. So you know, all's well, that ends well.
- 3:59Speaker 6: The first half frustrating, it was. I mean, gosh, it's frustrating.
- 4:03Speaker 6: The first half wasn't very much fun. I didn't even
- 4:05Speaker 6: watch the last drive before halftime. I went, I had
- 4:08Speaker 6: to go to the bathroom and needed some refreshments. I said,
- 4:10Speaker 6: this is a good time to go. I don't even
- 4:11Speaker 6: want to watch. So I didn't watch the last dry
- 4:13Speaker 6: before halftime because I was so mad. And it turned
- 4:17Speaker 6: around pretty quick. It was fun in the stadium. It
- 4:19Speaker 6: was a lot of fun. When Bullet got that pick six,
- 4:21Speaker 6: that was fun. That was a memory that I'll remember
- 4:25Speaker 6: about Huscar football for a long time because it was hot.
- 4:27Speaker 6: And then and another funny this is funny, but when
- 4:33Speaker 6: Nebraska went up seven to three in the third quarter,
- 4:35Speaker 6: went up seven to three perdue, fans started leaving.
- 4:38Speaker 5: I'm not joking. They started leaving seven three, but it
- 4:40Speaker 5: got to be fourteen three. Everybody was leaving. And then
- 4:43Speaker 5: there's a lot more space in the stadium, is a
- 4:44Speaker 5: lot more comfortable.
- 4:45Speaker 6: And it was a weird day because it like rained,
- 4:47Speaker 6: it got chilly, it got hot, so it was it
- 4:51Speaker 6: was a weird college football game. But I'm glad we
- 4:53Speaker 6: came out on top of four and one. You know,
- 4:56Speaker 6: you think about how many good teams don't play well
- 4:59Speaker 6: throughout the season, and I just hope to God that
- 5:02Speaker 6: that that was our game where it's like, yeah, we
- 5:04Speaker 6: didn't play well, but we still want I mean, how
- 5:06Speaker 6: many how many good teams, how many teams that are
- 5:08Speaker 6: going to play in a high level bowl game, are
- 5:10Speaker 6: going to play for some this year are gonna look
- 5:11Speaker 6: bad from week to week or you know, look at
- 5:15Speaker 6: the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 5:16Speaker 5: My god, you know, so I hope that's us.
- 5:19Speaker 6: I can't say with what did Trev Alberts say, there's
- 5:23Speaker 6: no empirical evidence that it will be Is that the
- 5:26Speaker 6: right word? But got the win reform and one.
- 5:30Speaker 1: The Yeah, I mean winning a game like that is
- 5:33Speaker 1: what really matters. And you're not going to remember all
- 5:36Speaker 1: the details. I mean we might, but in the grand
- 5:39Speaker 1: scheme of things, you're gonna remember if you won or
- 5:41Speaker 1: lost the game, and I think.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Remember that horrible first half, but you won't remember why
- 5:45Speaker 2: it was horrible.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Yeah, you can just remember zero zero.
- 5:49Speaker 4: You don't remember why it's horrible, why it was horrible.
- 5:52Speaker 1: The thing that rule I think is trying to instill,
- 5:56Speaker 1: for sure in the players, and he's outwardly speaking this
- 5:59Speaker 1: to the me, but I think a little bit in
- 6:01Speaker 1: the fans too, is that and we know this. Each
- 6:03Speaker 1: Big Ten game is a grinder and you've got to
- 6:07Speaker 1: come out winning these games. And yeah, we're not in
- 6:10Speaker 1: the top tier of Big Ten teams. I also would
- 6:14Speaker 1: say maybe we're not in the bottom. Purdue's probably in
- 6:17Speaker 1: that bottom tier. But it's not like Purdue is a
- 6:21Speaker 1: cake walk like a some of these other teams that
- 6:25Speaker 1: are on people's schedules. So like, you have to come
- 6:27Speaker 1: out and win, and if you win the game, you're
- 6:29Speaker 1: not going to really remember it, which is a good thing,
- 6:33Speaker 1: and I think that's the message he's trying to pre
- 6:35Speaker 1: Just don't overlook anybody anymore, especially in the Big Ten. Clearly,
- 6:40Speaker 1: we have our hands full here in the next couple
- 6:41Speaker 1: of weeks, games that I'll use this word again, should win,
- 6:45Speaker 1: could win because we're favored. That's kind of where that's
- 6:49Speaker 1: coming from. You know your your favorite. That means you
- 6:53Speaker 1: should win according to Vegas. And we have another one
- 6:56Speaker 1: here on Saturday against Rutgers. I wanted before we move
- 7:01Speaker 1: it into Ruggers a little more heavily here. I want
- 7:05Speaker 1: to talk about the special teams a little more. That
- 7:07Speaker 1: is the talk of the town on every Husker podcast.
- 7:11Speaker 1: We already talked about it on Sunday. We're gonna talk
- 7:13Speaker 1: about it again. It just seems to be that lingering
- 7:18Speaker 1: thing that hangs around that we can't get over. And
- 7:22Speaker 1: it's been a variety of things, right, It's not just
- 7:25Speaker 1: been a part of the special teams. You know, you
- 7:28Speaker 1: think that the kicking and the kickers need to do
- 7:31Speaker 1: a better job, Well, then now it's the holders and
- 7:33Speaker 1: the snappers, and you know the punning maybe is looking better,
- 7:37Speaker 1: but then who she needs still next nineteen yards on
- 7:40Speaker 1: a really fantastic pump because our COVERA team doesn't get
- 7:42Speaker 1: down there. Just a culmination of everything. I guess my
- 7:45Speaker 1: question for you guys, and Austin will start with you,
- 7:49Speaker 1: who's responsible? Like, who is responsible for first? I guess
- 7:55Speaker 1: would you agree that special teams are not good? I
- 7:58Speaker 1: would agree special team who's responsible and then how do
- 8:01Speaker 1: we fix it?
- 8:03Speaker 2: Well, it was interesting rules press conference yesterday he was
- 8:06Speaker 2: talking about He's like, hey, he wasn't calling anyone out,
- 8:10Speaker 2: but he's basically said players got to play, you know,
- 8:13Speaker 2: during games, or like, we're hitting these we're getting these
- 8:16Speaker 2: snaps in practice, we're hitting these kicks in practice. I
- 8:19Speaker 2: can't make them perform on game day if they're performing
- 8:22Speaker 2: in practice and then not performing in the games. That's
- 8:26Speaker 2: not word for word what he said, but that's kind
- 8:28Speaker 2: of the gist of what I understand unless you guys
- 8:29Speaker 2: interpreted it differently differently, So, I mean, if you're going
- 8:34Speaker 2: to put it on someone, who's got to be the players,
- 8:36Speaker 2: because I mean, you can coach it, but I mean
- 8:44Speaker 2: you're missing in so many different ways with you know,
- 8:48Speaker 2: is it the players?
- 8:48Speaker 1: Now?
- 8:49Speaker 2: I'm starting to think about it as I'm talking about it,
- 8:50Speaker 2: because it's if it's systematic where both kickers are having
- 8:54Speaker 2: these issues, is it? Could it be the coaching? I
- 8:59Speaker 2: don't Kicking specifically is interesting because it's such an individual
- 9:05Speaker 2: role and there's not that much variation in what you're coaching.
- 9:08Speaker 2: You're not coaching situationally for the most part, outside of Hey,
- 9:11Speaker 2: you're going to kick to this side. You're going to
- 9:13Speaker 2: kick to this side, You're going to kick it through.
- 9:14Speaker 2: That's pretty much it. So you're coaching technique, but I
- 9:21Speaker 2: feel like it's just going to come down to the
- 9:23Speaker 2: players actually executing. I mean, there's only so many ways
- 9:25Speaker 2: you can teach someone to kick a ball.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Oh I oh boy, it's on God damn. I can
- 9:37Speaker 4: decide Sunday either.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I didn't think you were gonna ask Hunter.
- 9:42Speaker 4: It's on the players. You got to make the kicks.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Like like you said, it's an individual spot of the
- 9:51Speaker 3: game and you go out there. I mean, you can
- 9:53Speaker 3: practice all you want, but you just gotta go out
- 9:56Speaker 3: to make kicks. And the background kicking is their head cases.
- 10:00Speaker 3: You miss one of these guys are mental midgets, and
- 10:02Speaker 3: they just they're gonna miss the rest of the year.
- 10:04Speaker 4: So at that point it gets to coaching though, So.
- 10:11Speaker 3: I don't know, just open try out At this point,
- 10:13Speaker 3: both kickers suck and you know it, just fucking open
- 10:16Speaker 3: try out of it again.
- 10:20Speaker 6: Yes, all right, well cut me off when you need
- 10:22Speaker 6: to cut me off here, But ultimately, who's responsibility is it?
- 10:26Speaker 5: Here's who's response it? Ultimate?
- 10:28Speaker 6: Okay from a coaching standpoint. Okay, it's Ed Fooley's job
- 10:31Speaker 6: to get the special teams right. Ultimately, who's responsibility. It's
- 10:34Speaker 6: Matt Rules responsibility. Okay, it's Matt Rules responsibility to make
- 10:38Speaker 6: sure that the product that we see on the field
- 10:40Speaker 6: on Saturday is a quality one, okay, and to make
- 10:43Speaker 6: sure that we don't get beat in those areas. And
- 10:46Speaker 6: here's the thing the last two get well, Illinois and
- 10:49Speaker 6: UH and Purdue. Here's the thing that just drives me
- 10:52Speaker 6: nuts Nebraska football. It's if it's not one thing, it's another.
- 10:55Speaker 5: Okay. So I get text.
- 10:57Speaker 6: Message and people telling me, oh, chill out Jackson, like
- 11:00Speaker 6: not really chill at you, but but.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Hey, we fix the turnovers. Look how good?
- 11:04Speaker 2: Okay?
- 11:05Speaker 4: Great?
- 11:05Speaker 5: Like that.
- 11:06Speaker 6: That's what I mean. Ultimately, that's what winning teams do. Like,
- 11:09Speaker 6: but Nebraska football, it just seems like if it's not
- 11:12Speaker 6: one thing, it's another.
- 11:13Speaker 5: Okay.
- 11:13Speaker 6: It seems like so I don't know, there's a there's
- 11:17Speaker 6: an underlying issue somewhere that something's not being done quite
- 11:21Speaker 6: right or or as effectively as possible. Because you know,
- 11:25Speaker 6: all season long, what was our emphasis all off season,
- 11:28Speaker 6: all off season.
- 11:28Speaker 5: It was turnovers.
- 11:29Speaker 6: Turn I mean every drill they did was if your
- 11:32Speaker 6: defender get a turnover, if you're on offense, protect the ball. Okay,
- 11:36Speaker 6: that's why we're good at it this year because it's
- 11:38Speaker 6: a point of emphasis. Those things that get you beat
- 11:41Speaker 6: and that win you games have to continue to be
- 11:43Speaker 6: a point of emphasis. They don't just get fixed. Now
- 11:47Speaker 6: that's fixed. No, you got to continue to work on it.
- 11:50Speaker 6: You got to continue to emphasize it. So I think
- 11:52Speaker 6: the product falls suarely on the coaches from a coaching standpoint.
- 11:57Speaker 5: Now, you can't say that.
- 11:59Speaker 6: I mean, coaches say that publicly, and players probably think
- 12:02Speaker 6: it's on them coaches, you know, whatever the case may be.
- 12:04Speaker 5: But but you got.
- 12:05Speaker 6: As the head coach, as the special teams coach, you
- 12:07Speaker 6: have got to take care of that stuff.
- 12:09Speaker 5: That's your job, Okay.
- 12:11Speaker 6: And when it comes back back to players, I don't
- 12:14Speaker 6: believe and and I mean I'm not there at practice obviously,
- 12:18Speaker 6: so I can't say with certainly, But I don't think
- 12:20Speaker 6: that that the specialists are putting enough time in. I mean,
- 12:24Speaker 6: after you got a lot of apologists for what happened
- 12:28Speaker 6: in the first alfagance Purdue, Okay, national media get oh,
- 12:31Speaker 6: other teams miss kicks blah blah blahlah blah.
- 12:32Speaker 5: Okay, what happened.
- 12:34Speaker 6: What happened in that Purdue game was a disaster. It
- 12:37Speaker 6: was an absolute disaster. I'm not mad at anybody, not
- 12:40Speaker 6: even point. But bottom line is, I don't think our
- 12:43Speaker 6: specialists are putting enough time in. Okay, tell me how
- 12:45Speaker 6: many k our snappers? What do they do on offense?
- 12:50Speaker 6: What do our snappers do on defense?
- 12:51Speaker 5: Okay?
- 12:52Speaker 6: They have one job to snap the ball. Okay, how
- 12:55Speaker 6: many snaps can get in this week and be fresh?
- 12:58Speaker 4: Okay?
- 12:59Speaker 5: How many?
- 13:00Speaker 6: In my mind, those snappers should be snapping a thousand times,
- 13:03Speaker 6: and the security guards at tom Osborne Sports Complex or
- 13:06Speaker 6: whatever it's called should have to kick those guys out
- 13:08Speaker 6: of the facility. There's just no reason for it.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Okay.
- 13:12Speaker 5: And I'll tell you one thing, and this is I
- 13:16Speaker 5: come up with it. I drove. It was an eight
- 13:17Speaker 5: hour drive home, so I thought about it a long time.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Okay.
- 13:20Speaker 6: Bushini played a heck of a game, maybe his best
- 13:22Speaker 6: game as a Husker. He had two maybe touchdown saving tackles. Okay,
- 13:27Speaker 6: a big hit on a kickoff got the guys fired
- 13:30Speaker 6: up coming out of second half. Okay, those holes he
- 13:33Speaker 6: had when when the kicks were blocked. It was a
- 13:36Speaker 6: heck of a job by Boushini to get to get
- 13:38Speaker 6: those down and have him a chance. I mean that
- 13:40Speaker 6: was that was incredible.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Okay.
- 13:43Speaker 6: And then he's got five kickoffs for touchbacks through the
- 13:47Speaker 6: end zone.
- 13:47Speaker 5: Okay, I don't know why we mess around with that.
- 13:49Speaker 6: Why are we you know, we try to figure out
- 13:52Speaker 6: who the best kicker is kick it through the end zone. Okay,
- 13:54Speaker 6: there's just the chances and you're it's called mitigating risk. Okay,
- 13:58Speaker 6: the chances of something bad happens and you kick it
- 14:00Speaker 6: through the end zone.
- 14:01Speaker 5: It's zero to the end zone.
- 14:04Speaker 2: So we had five you're putting out there.
- 14:07Speaker 6: Right, He had five touchbacks, five kicks for touchbacks, and
- 14:10Speaker 6: then he had three punts inside the ten, one inside
- 14:13Speaker 6: the five, and one inside the one that should have
- 14:15Speaker 6: been down at the one. I mean the gunner fell
- 14:18Speaker 6: down or whatever that's The gunner falling down is to
- 14:22Speaker 6: me not near as big a deal as hey, he
- 14:24Speaker 6: pinned inside the one, like the gunner's got to execute,
- 14:27Speaker 6: but machine out of that day. So to me, to me,
- 14:31Speaker 6: Mashini is about my age is he's probably in his thirties.
- 14:34Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 14:34Speaker 6: It looks like it was his wedding ring on the field.
- 14:38Speaker 6: Those He's got to be the leader and get those
- 14:40Speaker 6: guys and say, hey, guys, let's get obsessed. Let's get
- 14:43Speaker 6: obsessed with the process. Let's get in the facility. Let's
- 14:46Speaker 6: be in the facility longer than anybody else, and let's
- 14:49Speaker 6: have it.
- 14:49Speaker 5: Can be fun. Let's have a blast seeing how good
- 14:52Speaker 5: we can get. Let's do it.
- 14:53Speaker 6: And I mean rule said in his pressed with the
- 14:56Speaker 6: guys are doing what they're supposed to do it. They
- 14:58Speaker 6: got to put an extra work. They gotta do extra work,
- 15:01Speaker 6: you know, give them a get on Google and find
- 15:05Speaker 6: a placekicker program and find a placeholder program and find
- 15:08Speaker 6: a long snapper program and do it over and over
- 15:11Speaker 6: and over again. Okay, and that's how you that's how
- 15:14Speaker 6: you fix those things.
- 15:15Speaker 1: We're gonna start Google and stuff a couple of weeks
- 15:17Speaker 1: ahead of Indiana. We better be careful not to google
- 15:21Speaker 1: Indiana coach's name cigar. Uh. Yeah, A lot of good things.
- 15:28Speaker 1: So I I'm with Jackson. I do think and this
- 15:31Speaker 1: obviously comes from a coaching background. It falls into coaches.
- 15:35Speaker 1: It falls ultimately unrule to add to what you're saying,
- 15:39Speaker 1: and talking about how rules responding. I'm getting a little
- 15:44Speaker 1: sense that rules get in the little nancy with our
- 15:47Speaker 1: Nebraska media fan base reactions that things. With regards to
- 15:52Speaker 1: the Special team's talk, you know, I think he wants
- 15:54Speaker 1: to talk about the positives, which I don't blame him
- 15:57Speaker 1: because he did bring up all the specifics. Jackson just
- 15:59Speaker 1: me and then you know, the Mazuka thing brings up
- 16:02Speaker 1: and he's like trying to just shut it down immediately constantly.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I feel like rule and I don't know if this
- 16:09Speaker 1: is good or bad. I don't know, but early on,
- 16:12Speaker 1: you know, he's like, it's on me, It's on me
- 16:13Speaker 1: to figure this out. To I'm me to. He did
- 16:16Speaker 1: throw a little bit back at the players this week,
- 16:18Speaker 1: which I thought was interesting. It is on the coaches, though,
- 16:23Speaker 1: and I hope that we're not we're not getting the
- 16:25Speaker 1: Scott Frost level. I'm not saying we are, because that
- 16:27Speaker 1: was that was clearly they's got to be able to
- 16:31Speaker 1: make the play on the field. You know, we're doing
- 16:32Speaker 1: everything we can. I don't know that we're fully there,
- 16:36Speaker 1: but the coaches need to figure out how to get
- 16:40Speaker 1: this fixed. And like we said, we don't know what
- 16:43Speaker 1: they're doing in practice. But I agree, like, put in
- 16:46Speaker 1: the time, do it until you're sick of it and
- 16:49Speaker 1: you don't know any better. Like there's no excuses out
- 16:53Speaker 1: of Division one Power five program that we can't execute
- 16:59Speaker 1: something that that's your only job at New Week.
- 17:02Speaker 6: So maybe that I mean from a competitive mindset, like
- 17:06Speaker 6: everyone in the country, I mean, it's just hype. Everyone
- 17:09Speaker 6: in the country thinks you guys suck. You guys sucked
- 17:12Speaker 6: in this gate. Everybody thinks you guys think you suck.
- 17:15Speaker 6: Right now, Okay, who cares? Have fun with it. Go
- 17:18Speaker 6: have a blast. Proven people wrong. Go see how good
- 17:21Speaker 6: you can get. To me, that sounds fun. I get
- 17:23Speaker 6: fired up talking about it.
- 17:24Speaker 5: Go see, go prove people wrong. See how good you
- 17:27Speaker 5: can get by the end of the year.
- 17:29Speaker 1: And I think these guys hopefully want to do that.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I think they need to see a little success. And
- 17:39Speaker 1: that's the whole chicken before the egg thing is. If
- 17:42Speaker 1: they're not gonna see it, you know, it's hard for
- 17:44Speaker 1: their minds to get right in doing it well. To me,
- 17:47Speaker 1: that's all kind of bullshit. If you just put them
- 17:49Speaker 1: the time, I think you're gonna see the results come.
- 17:53Speaker 1: And again I don't know what they're doing in practice.
- 17:56Speaker 1: So I don't want to spend too much time on
- 17:57Speaker 1: special teams. But I do think that, like in a win,
- 18:03Speaker 1: it's easy to say, you know, everybody misses kicks, we
- 18:06Speaker 1: lose that game, you lose, But we've lost how many
- 18:09Speaker 1: games because of kicks? You can argue that the Illinois
- 18:12Speaker 1: game was lost potentially because of the kick. I mean,
- 18:16Speaker 1: it is it is a problem. We can't overlook its
- 18:18Speaker 1: People are trying to say, this is really a problem.
- 18:20Speaker 1: It's a problem.
- 18:21Speaker 6: Again, there's some there's some issue. I mean, think about
- 18:25Speaker 6: Timmy Cole. How many years or two years ago he
- 18:27Speaker 6: was the big ten kicker of the year and comes
- 18:29Speaker 6: back and just loses it, Like what what is going on?
- 18:33Speaker 6: Like to me, it's get sick with the reps and
- 18:36Speaker 6: I know we've got to move on here. But I'll
- 18:37Speaker 6: say one more thing about coach rule. I really believe
- 18:40Speaker 6: in coach rule. I really like him. I I mean
- 18:44Speaker 6: when somebody says something bad about him, I shut him up.
- 18:46Speaker 6: I really believe in coach rule. So after the game,
- 18:50Speaker 6: I said, guys, I'm like a little kid around Husker football.
- 18:53Speaker 6: Let's walk down the locker room and tell the guys
- 18:54Speaker 6: good job as you're walking.
- 18:55Speaker 5: Okay.
- 18:55Speaker 6: So we walked down the locker room. Rule passes me
- 18:58Speaker 6: on a golf cart, okay, and my fiance him goes, hey, Jackson,
- 19:02Speaker 6: there's rule right that. I didn't see him.
- 19:03Speaker 5: There's a rule right there. So I stopped, chased him out. Coach.
- 19:06Speaker 6: Coach, coach and kind of looked at me and I said, hey,
- 19:08Speaker 6: good job, coach, And maybe I caught him off guard
- 19:11Speaker 6: or he thought I was going to say something bad
- 19:13Speaker 6: to him, but he was visibly like he was talking
- 19:15Speaker 6: to another guy, and I was like, gosh, he's not
- 19:16Speaker 6: in a very good mood. Two seconds later, when he
- 19:19Speaker 6: got to the postgame press conference, he changed his tone. So,
- 19:24Speaker 6: you know, I think he's I believe that Rule has
- 19:27Speaker 6: a plan. So when he kind of gets on people
- 19:30Speaker 6: in the media or or kind of is you know,
- 19:32Speaker 6: his tone with the media has changed a little bit,
- 19:34Speaker 6: I think he's got a plan in place.
- 19:36Speaker 5: I guess that's what I believe, you know.
- 19:38Speaker 6: So I think he's trying to challenge the players to
- 19:40Speaker 6: the media a little bit, and I'm seeing the cup
- 19:43Speaker 6: half full with him because I believe in him, and
- 19:45Speaker 6: I could be wrong, but that did happen. I thought,
- 19:47Speaker 6: I was like, gosh, he's not very happy, and then
- 19:50Speaker 6: two seconds later he totally changed his tone.
- 19:52Speaker 1: So and that with the media conversation too. What ultimately
- 19:55Speaker 1: matters on who's listening to the media. No one gives
- 19:57Speaker 1: a crap about what the media members the fans truly,
- 20:01Speaker 1: I mean the fans a little bit because they're your
- 20:03Speaker 1: donors and the nil on that side. But ultimately, when
- 20:07Speaker 1: Rule talks, he wants to make sure the message is
- 20:10Speaker 1: coming out well for his team so they can come
- 20:12Speaker 1: out and perform yep week after a week. So I
- 20:15Speaker 1: think he knows. I think you're right. I think he
- 20:17Speaker 1: knows that, and he's strategically saying things to make sure
- 20:22Speaker 1: that goes well. Okay, Rutgers, I'm gonna throw in Dana
- 20:28Speaker 1: in here, but I said at the beginning of the year,
- 20:32Speaker 1: these two games, I mean all these games here to
- 20:34Speaker 1: me are more important than any games in the rest
- 20:37Speaker 1: of our schedule. I know we talk about every game
- 20:40Speaker 1: is important, but seriously, these two games could flip the
- 20:45Speaker 1: momentum one way or the other. Specifically this week against
- 20:49Speaker 1: Ruggers at home, undefeated team they're not ranked. People thought
- 20:54Speaker 1: they maybe weren't going to be were seven point favorite.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I'm at home. They beat Howard Akron both whooped him.
- 21:04Speaker 1: They won on the road of Virginia Tech, who is
- 21:07Speaker 1: underperforming this year, by three, and then they beat Washington
- 21:11Speaker 1: last week, also by three. They are led, and I'm
- 21:17Speaker 1: gonna start running back because that's gonna be the talk
- 21:20Speaker 1: of the week. Like Kyle Manongai, he is averaging I
- 21:24Speaker 1: believe twenty four attempts per game. He's already got over
- 21:28Speaker 1: five hundred yards. He was a leading Big ten rusher
- 21:30Speaker 1: last year. That's who's getting the ball. The scary part
- 21:36Speaker 1: is the quarterback is eighth in Calik Manis. Dad, go
- 21:40Speaker 1: ahead and say thank you. This team reminds me, and
- 21:48Speaker 1: not just because of ak forty seven, but it reminds
- 21:53Speaker 1: me of that Minnesota team last year where we were
- 21:56Speaker 1: so focused on the run game and then kaliak Manis
- 21:58Speaker 1: actually had a pretty damn good game through the air
- 22:00Speaker 1: and with his legs a little bit. I don't think
- 22:03Speaker 1: potentially he's as good as Luke Altmeyer. I don't think
- 22:06Speaker 1: they have this talent that Illinois had from a skill
- 22:09Speaker 1: position standpoint, But manon guys, for sure, the best running
- 22:12Speaker 1: back that we've seen. They don't have their receivers. Guys,
- 22:15Speaker 1: they're going to run the ball and everybody knows it.
- 22:20Speaker 1: The concerning part with the Rutgers, and I'm going to
- 22:23Speaker 1: name some few stats here, is they play smart, efficient football.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Second in red zone defense, fifth in the country, and
- 22:33Speaker 1: penalties are these are country numbers, fifth in the country,
- 22:36Speaker 1: and penalties eighth in the country. Time of possession twelfth
- 22:39Speaker 1: in the country. Rushing offense seventeenth in the country, third
- 22:43Speaker 1: down conversion percentage, it's scary like we're playing Iowa East.
- 22:51Speaker 1: This is the formula that counters all of these one
- 22:57Speaker 1: score losses that we've had the past few years. And
- 23:01Speaker 1: that's why I don't feel great about this game at
- 23:03Speaker 1: all until we prove that we can win a close
- 23:05Speaker 1: game against a team like this. Now Iowa we've come
- 23:08Speaker 1: up damn close because it is Yeah, I agree Iowa
- 23:12Speaker 1: East like it's it's it's similar. They know their identity
- 23:16Speaker 1: Schiano Gregiana, their head coach, has been there, kind of
- 23:21Speaker 1: let go and is now back like he knows exactly
- 23:26Speaker 1: what he wants to do. They're not this flashy football team,
- 23:32Speaker 1: but they're gonna They're gonna beat you if you make mistakes.
- 23:36Speaker 1: They're gonna play the way that they know how to play.
- 23:39Speaker 1: We got to stop the run most importantly in this ballgame,
- 23:44Speaker 1: Dak will throw it to you. I guess to hype
- 23:47Speaker 1: up your boy AK forty seven.
- 23:51Speaker 4: Yeah, they're definitely gonna run the ball game.
- 23:54Speaker 3: But so last week, I think you played the least
- 23:57Speaker 3: improved quarterback in nation. This week, I think you might
- 23:59Speaker 3: play with won the best improved. Last year, he had
- 24:02Speaker 3: fourteen touchdowns, nine picks. He has seven touchdowns one pick
- 24:04Speaker 3: already on the year. So which it could be coaching
- 24:08Speaker 3: to PJ. Fleck, I don't think he knows that coach quarterback.
- 24:11Speaker 3: I think they're using AK forty seven, right, So, yeah,
- 24:16Speaker 3: they're gonna run the ball. But I I'd still be
- 24:18Speaker 3: worried about him passing. He looks he's a solid quarterback,
- 24:21Speaker 3: that's what. He's not even as good as Altmeyer, but
- 24:22Speaker 3: he's better Hudson Card. He's he's a solid quarterback. He's
- 24:26Speaker 3: not turned the ball over like you said.
- 24:28Speaker 4: I'd still be a little bit worried about him.
- 24:30Speaker 3: You gotta you can't stack the box full lead.
- 24:35Speaker 2: I mean, I think the biggest argument against you know,
- 24:39Speaker 2: the stats sound good. But they're four and oh. But
- 24:42Speaker 2: the three of the teams that they definitely should have
- 24:45Speaker 2: beat Ackron's not very good.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Howard sucks.
- 24:49Speaker 2: I mean, I'm not very good. And you could argue
- 24:52Speaker 2: that Washington beat themselves last week. Washington probably should have
- 24:57Speaker 2: won that game and then they kind of ended up
- 24:59Speaker 2: killing themselves. They're four and oh, but I don't think
- 25:02Speaker 2: they've played for very good teams, So I think the
- 25:04Speaker 2: stats might be a little bit of misleading. But I
- 25:07Speaker 2: agree offense are going to run the ball. We know
- 25:09Speaker 2: what they're going to do, and we just can't get
- 25:11Speaker 2: burned like we did against un I specifically for their
- 25:16Speaker 2: offense against our defense.
- 25:18Speaker 6: Dak, I one hundred percent agree with you. The narrative
- 25:22Speaker 6: is that we got to stop the run.
- 25:24Speaker 5: Stop the run. I'm a little bit nervous.
- 25:25Speaker 6: About caliak Manitts doing some of the Altmeyer RPO stuff
- 25:31Speaker 6: where we're just they're just wide open out there and
- 25:34Speaker 6: like the like dink and dunk stuff. I'm a little
- 25:36Speaker 6: bit worried about that, kind of like Illinois did to us.
- 25:41Speaker 6: But I'll tell you what about this game. To be
- 25:44Speaker 6: real honest with you, I told h when I told
- 25:48Speaker 6: who I rode back with When we on the way home,
- 25:50Speaker 6: they asked what will the spread be? I said, I
- 25:52Speaker 6: think Ruggers will be favored by three and it would
- 25:54Speaker 6: be generous because we're at home. I'm surprised we're favored,
- 25:57Speaker 6: and to be favored by a touchdown. I don't know
- 25:59Speaker 6: where that came from. So I didn't think we should
- 26:03Speaker 6: be favored. Now now I feel like we got a shot.
- 26:05Speaker 6: I got some hope, but I thought we I didn't
- 26:07Speaker 6: think we'd be favored. I think this game is going
- 26:10Speaker 6: to tell us way more about our team than any
- 26:13Speaker 6: other game all year. I think it's gonna be a
- 26:15Speaker 6: toughness game. It's gonna be which team is tougher. Hey,
- 26:18Speaker 6: you know what what Rugger's gonna do. They're gonna try
- 26:21Speaker 6: to bleed the clock. They're great on third down. It's
- 26:24Speaker 6: gonna it's gonna be a toughness game. Are we tough
- 26:27Speaker 6: enough to go toe to toe with these guys and
- 26:29Speaker 6: beat them?
- 26:29Speaker 2: And?
- 26:30Speaker 6: Uh, you know, Rutgers is so tough to is one
- 26:34Speaker 6: of those teams that they get the game in their tempo,
- 26:36Speaker 6: they keep it in their tempo and when teams are
- 26:38Speaker 6: good at getting it in to slow it down, grind
- 26:40Speaker 6: it out tempo. It's hard to it's hard to flip it.
- 26:43Speaker 6: It's easier to get it to slow down. There is
- 26:45Speaker 6: to speed it up unless you're just way better offensively.
- 26:47Speaker 6: And I think we got maybe some better weapons on
- 26:50Speaker 6: the edges. But but I just think this game is
- 26:53Speaker 6: gonna come down to toughness. And not to say that
- 26:55Speaker 6: we're not tough, but that scares me. That scares me
- 26:58Speaker 6: a lot.
- 27:00Speaker 4: Yeah, you guys have saw it. It gave for them
- 27:03Speaker 4: a couple of times. He's quicker and what you think
- 27:05Speaker 4: he can run the ball too?
- 27:06Speaker 2: He can.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I'm curious how we will attack them offensively like I
- 27:12Speaker 1: have been. I guess every week we know they're going
- 27:17Speaker 1: to try to control time of possession. They're damn good
- 27:19Speaker 1: at it. Are we just going to try to go
- 27:23Speaker 1: right at them? Similarly, we have not proven really this
- 27:26Speaker 1: year that we can play that style of football running
- 27:30Speaker 1: mainly with our running backs. You know, obviously Ryola has
- 27:33Speaker 1: not been a running quarterback for us this year. Are
- 27:37Speaker 1: we going to try to match that and play with
- 27:40Speaker 1: that or are we going to try to counter that?
- 27:42Speaker 1: We know what could happen though if you counter that,
- 27:46Speaker 1: because if you go three and out and your defense
- 27:49Speaker 1: is out there for seven minutes trying to stop the run.
- 27:52Speaker 1: You know, we anticipate maybe they're being some more subbing.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Like you, you tire out by the time you get
- 27:58Speaker 1: to the third and fourth quarter. So can we can
- 28:01Speaker 1: our offense stay on the field enough to where we
- 28:06Speaker 1: give our defense some rests, and then can we keep
- 28:08Speaker 1: the ball and Dylan Ryle's hands as much as we
- 28:11Speaker 1: can without you know, going three and out. I think
- 28:17Speaker 1: that what we're gonna see is not tempo. We're not
- 28:20Speaker 1: gonna see a lot of fast paced offense. We're gonna
- 28:22Speaker 1: see winding the clock down. But I do think we
- 28:25Speaker 1: got to utilize our playmakers that we have at a
- 28:28Speaker 1: Dana Jeh, I'm on the opfensive side of the ball
- 28:30Speaker 1: that we've seen right now, we're still waiting for a
- 28:33Speaker 1: running back to break out from the pack like we
- 28:35Speaker 1: have been kind of all year. I thought maybe dal
- 28:37Speaker 1: Dell was that guy early on. Emmett looked good this
- 28:41Speaker 1: last week, so we're kind of waiting to see maybe
- 28:44Speaker 1: this is the game that one of them is. You
- 28:46Speaker 1: know what, No, I'm gonna I'm gonna make a couple
- 28:48Speaker 1: of twelve fifteen sixteen yard runs because man on guy,
- 28:52Speaker 1: that's what he's best to doing. He knows how to
- 28:56Speaker 1: take six yard runs put him into twelve. A run
- 29:00Speaker 1: for one yard moves it to four, like Tony White
- 29:04Speaker 1: talks about that in his press conference. He's the best
- 29:05Speaker 1: at doing that. There's a reason why he's one of
- 29:08Speaker 1: the best running backs in the Big Ten. So, yeah,
- 29:10Speaker 1: I want to know how we're gonna counter it on
- 29:12Speaker 1: the opposive side because the tempo and the managing the
- 29:15Speaker 1: game we've seen it with some of these Big Ten teams.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Rutgers is gonna do it. I do agree. They're probably
- 29:23Speaker 1: gonna maybe use caliac Manus and some other things we
- 29:26Speaker 1: haven't seen, but for the most part, it's gonna be
- 29:29Speaker 1: try to control the game on Saturday afternoon. That like
- 29:34Speaker 1: he's a Jackson toughness.
- 29:36Speaker 6: Yeah, I think I couldn't agree with you more. I
- 29:38Speaker 6: think it's gonna be really interesting what we do.
- 29:40Speaker 5: But here's why.
- 29:41Speaker 6: Okay, So you hear the critics talk about how our
- 29:44Speaker 6: run game or lack or criticize our run game. To me,
- 29:48Speaker 6: sometimes I'm like, I don't know, because Ryle is our
- 29:51Speaker 6: best player. Okay, So not to make the Mahomes comparison.
- 29:55Speaker 6: But when when the Chiefs need to get going and
- 29:58Speaker 6: Mahomes hands it off, I go, like, put it in
- 30:01Speaker 6: Mahome's hands and let them go make a play. That's
- 30:03Speaker 6: what Ryola is doing for us right now. I know
- 30:05Speaker 6: that I'm not making a silly comparison here, but when
- 30:07Speaker 6: when Riola hands it off, that may not be our
- 30:12Speaker 6: best strategy. Our best strategy might be Riola making plays
- 30:15Speaker 6: because right now, that's that's saving our bacon. Don't don't.
- 30:19Speaker 6: Don't crosshairs on that. That's so that's a that's that's
- 30:23Speaker 6: exactly my thought. I said, well, how do we attack
- 30:25Speaker 6: these guys if we're going to try to grind it
- 30:26Speaker 6: out with them? But but that's not that that doesn't
- 30:30Speaker 6: necessarily play to our strengths and our best players, our quarterback,
- 30:33Speaker 6: you know, So that's good that that's that is a
- 30:35Speaker 6: tricky question.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I will. I think my biggest concern for us
- 30:39Speaker 2: offensively is you know, you talked about that second in
- 30:43Speaker 2: the nation in red zone, and then we just got
- 30:45Speaker 2: done dragging our special teams through the mud. You know,
- 30:48Speaker 2: what's really good to have when a team's really good
- 30:50Speaker 2: in the red zone, a kicker that's going to put
- 30:52Speaker 2: the ball through the pipes. So that's a little bit
- 30:55Speaker 2: concerning where it's like, Okay, these guys are really good
- 30:57Speaker 2: at a short field. When you want to put a
- 30:59Speaker 2: kicker out there, you get stopped on third down and
- 31:02Speaker 2: we might get put in a position where we're just
- 31:03Speaker 2: gonna have to go for it on fourth down because
- 31:05Speaker 2: we don't trust our kickers out there. That's what worries me.
- 31:09Speaker 6: And I'll tell you this, it would be absolutely monumental
- 31:13Speaker 6: to get the lead. If we can get the lead,
- 31:16Speaker 6: if we can get a touchdown lead, and we can
- 31:18Speaker 6: be playing and every time our offense is out there,
- 31:20Speaker 6: it's either to go up by more or it's tied.
- 31:23Speaker 5: That is huge, so huge. We can get the dang lead.
- 31:27Speaker 6: Just get the lead and then you know their time
- 31:29Speaker 6: of possession and they're bleeded out. Grind it out, and
- 31:31Speaker 6: what we do on offense is not is not It's
- 31:35Speaker 6: still important, but it's not as not all that pressure
- 31:38Speaker 6: is on you. It's not as important. So get the
- 31:40Speaker 6: stinking lead.
- 31:43Speaker 3: There's one factor we haven't talked about yet, and it's
- 31:45Speaker 3: gonna it's gonna factor in the temple and subs the
- 31:48Speaker 3: weather it's gonna be hot as.
- 31:49Speaker 5: Hell, how it is.
- 31:53Speaker 4: I don't I don't think you want to run temple
- 31:54Speaker 4: at all.
- 31:57Speaker 1: And we have. We haven't shown much tempo yet this
- 31:59Speaker 1: Year's why we would. But I mean, I agree, it's
- 32:02Speaker 1: gonna be windy, too hot and windy for October night.
- 32:04Speaker 4: That's good for your kicking.
- 32:08Speaker 1: All right, Well, Dak, let's get to your picks here
- 32:13Speaker 1: as we close out the pod. You went eight and
- 32:18Speaker 1: seven last week. I believe you are thirty eight and
- 32:22Speaker 1: thirty seven and one on the year, but you are
- 32:28Speaker 1: four and two unlocks.
- 32:30Speaker 4: Hey, put one hundred bucks on those. You're up to
- 32:32Speaker 4: two hundred dollars. So there you go. Put one hundred
- 32:34Speaker 4: bucks on my lock this week.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Great math. All right, reminders, say your other team they're playing,
- 32:43Speaker 1: and let the people hear your picks.
- 32:48Speaker 4: All right, Yeah, let's start it out.
- 32:50Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 32:50Speaker 3: Plus two and a half against tex A and m Wisconsin.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Plus minus fourteen against Purdue Boston College, plus one against Virginia,
- 32:58Speaker 3: maybe minus ten against Air Force Nebraska, minus six a
- 33:01Speaker 3: half against Rutgers. This is my locker right here. Clemson
- 33:04Speaker 3: minus fourteen against Florida State. Florida State sucks ass by
- 33:08Speaker 3: the way DJU is ranked higher than Roland the n
- 33:10Speaker 3: C double A game. Okay, Minnesota plus eight against usc
- 33:16Speaker 3: UC minus two and a half against Florida, Kansas plus
- 33:19Speaker 3: two and a half.
- 33:20Speaker 4: I did not put their plan all right.
- 33:22Speaker 3: Arkansas plus thirteen against Tennessee Vandy plus twenty three against Bama,
- 33:26Speaker 3: Tulane minus fifteen against the a B. Auburn plus twenty
- 33:29Speaker 3: four against Georgia, Indiana Min's fourteen a inst Northwestern and
- 33:32Speaker 3: Sam Houston against your boys, Utip minus ten.
- 33:37Speaker 2: You do fifteen again?
- 33:38Speaker 1: Yep, what I was gonna ask you, what's up with
- 33:42Speaker 1: the fifteen?
- 33:44Speaker 4: He's gotta keep it even. That's why he's the first.
- 33:46Speaker 6: No.
- 33:46Speaker 4: Second week you got.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Maybe if you shortened it throw and you know, gave
- 33:50Speaker 1: your maybe five to seven favorite ones, your record would
- 33:52Speaker 1: be a little better.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Nope, you gotta do fifteen. The locks all that matters.
- 33:59Speaker 3: Everybody listens to put one hundred bucks on it and
- 34:01Speaker 3: if they lose. I didn't say it, Jackson said it.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Yeah, Uh Survivor picks. We had some close calls this.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Week, really freaking close.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Austin had two of them. Yeah, with Boston College and
- 34:23Speaker 1: Miami of Ohio. I had the Miami of Ohio close call,
- 34:28Speaker 1: and then Dak tried to pick LSU two weeks in
- 34:33Speaker 1: a row. So on the pod through LSU out there,
- 34:38Speaker 1: I mixed that. He said give me the U, and
- 34:42Speaker 1: then Dak had to make a last minute phone call
- 34:44Speaker 1: to make sure the refs overturn that call on Friday
- 34:47Speaker 1: night to make sure he survives survivor pool.
- 34:52Speaker 3: Yep, you know forgot I had the utail. Now, I
- 34:56Speaker 3: think that's a bullshit call. We can get in that
- 34:57Speaker 3: some other time. Virginia Tech won that game.
- 34:59Speaker 1: But all right, Okay, my four this week that I took.
- 35:05Speaker 1: I have Penn State against UCLA. Boy, Ucla, it's gonna
- 35:13Speaker 1: be rough for them the next few weeks. This week
- 35:16Speaker 1: especially Boise State. I have them against Utah States, Yukon,
- 35:21Speaker 1: I don't love it. Scares me. I have them against Temple.
- 35:25Speaker 1: I do think Temple is really bad. I don't think
- 35:27Speaker 1: Yukon's very good either, but that one scares me. TCU
- 35:31Speaker 1: I also don't love it. I'm trying to stay a
- 35:33Speaker 1: little bit aggressive here and keep some of my big
- 35:38Speaker 1: teams for the end, but it might cost me at
- 35:39Speaker 1: TCU against Houston as my fourth one.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I'm taking the same approach as you, trying to keep
- 35:46Speaker 2: all of my big ones for the end. I got
- 35:48Speaker 2: Jacksonville State over Kenesas State, Bowling Green over Akron. I
- 35:54Speaker 2: also took Yukon over Temple, and then I got Norther
- 35:57Speaker 2: Nolla Way over U Mass. We're gonna go against U
- 35:59Speaker 2: Mass for the third time in six weeks, so they
- 36:03Speaker 2: almost burned me last week. One of these times they're
- 36:05Speaker 2: gonna get me.
- 36:07Speaker 4: All Right, you guys gotta start losing.
- 36:08Speaker 3: I'm running out of teams that I'm gonna start picking
- 36:10Speaker 3: hunderdogs here, all right, Clemson against Florida State, Navy against
- 36:15Speaker 3: air Force, to Lane against you a bat and James
- 36:18Speaker 3: Massing and somebody did not put what they play.
- 36:20Speaker 1: But they'll win Louisiana Monroe because I had that written down.
- 36:23Speaker 4: Yes, that one scares the piss out of me. That's
- 36:26Speaker 4: that's when I was like.
- 36:27Speaker 1: I'm calling it. You're losing it on air Force this week.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Really, like I said, I've watched before we start, I said,
- 36:35Speaker 3: I've watched Navy all this whole year.
- 36:37Speaker 4: They are awesome. They're very well rounded team.
- 36:39Speaker 1: That's not what you said. You said, I have not
- 36:41Speaker 1: watched Navy at all and all. All you know is
- 36:45Speaker 1: what you've heard. Give give me air Force money line,
- 36:52Speaker 1: all right, air Force Academy unders Tour predictions. I don't
- 37:00Speaker 1: I don't love.
- 37:01Speaker 6: I don't.
- 37:01Speaker 1: I just I did not feeling good, Guys, I either.
- 37:04Speaker 1: I I want to say we're gonna win a one
- 37:06Speaker 1: score game, but I thought maybe we're gonna do Purdue
- 37:12Speaker 1: one score game that that didn't happen. I'm gonna go Rutgers.
- 37:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it. Rutgers twenty one, Nebraska seventeen.
- 37:26Speaker 6: Peace Jackson Berrgo Okay, I'm gonna Gosh, Hunter, I just
- 37:33Speaker 6: got quiet. Actually, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go to
- 37:36Speaker 6: Nebraska twenty four Rutgers fourteen. It cannot be a three
- 37:40Speaker 6: point game for obvious reasons. That's a joke, you know,
- 37:45Speaker 6: just real quick here, Oh go ahead.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Guys, I got Nebraska twenty one, Rutgers twenty.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Four, Nebraska twenty eight, Ruckers seventeen.
- 37:56Speaker 5: Hey, hey, Hunter, what are you doing on Monday night?
- 38:03Speaker 5: The game Chief Saints sts? Hey?
- 38:06Speaker 6: The good contrast is bad Refts on Saturday, great Rafts.
- 38:09Speaker 6: Because I'm a Chiefs fan on Sunday and Monday. So
- 38:11Speaker 6: that's a joke that I wanted to say.
- 38:13Speaker 1: That go be grad, go gred.
- 38:17Speaker 4: You are member Singer School d
