- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost in his podcast. Today
- 0:09Speaker 2: we are joined by a newly launched couple. It's Juliana
- 0:13Speaker 2: pascor Rosa, who you know from Grand Season, and her
- 0:17Speaker 2: new boyfriend Michael.
- 0:20Speaker 3: That was a good way of saying her last name.
- 0:21Speaker 3: I'm glad you took that.
- 0:23Speaker 4: I was gonna say it is right like that, right.
- 0:26Speaker 5: Yeah, he crushed it.
- 0:29Speaker 4: You guys are so cute together.
- 0:33Speaker 6: Think gosh, the last time we talked to Juliana was
- 0:37Speaker 6: the end of the year five, and you were kind
- 0:41Speaker 6: of hinting that there was somebody that you really liked.
- 0:44Speaker 4: And now, lo and behold, six months ish later, you
- 0:48Speaker 4: have moved.
- 0:49Speaker 3: In with him. We should ask that first.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, so cute. So well, you're living together
- 1:01Speaker 4: in New York and Juliana.
- 1:02Speaker 2: That's kind of big for you because you, well, we
- 1:06Speaker 2: know her from Grand Season. Michael, so like, forgive me
- 1:09Speaker 2: for bringing up her ex but he.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Was going to move to Boston.
- 1:13Speaker 2: But you like Michael so much that you decided to
- 1:15Speaker 2: move away from your family for him.
- 1:17Speaker 5: Yeah, it's crazy. I mean, I never thought I was
- 1:20Speaker 5: leaving Boston, but you know, he's worth it, so and
- 1:25Speaker 5: he's been so awesome about like going back and forth,
- 1:29Speaker 5: so I don't have to miss anything and I have
- 1:30Speaker 5: severe fomo and he's so awesome with that. So we've
- 1:34Speaker 5: been back to Boston a bunch already, and the summer's
- 1:36Speaker 5: packed with trips back to Boston and Cape Cod trips
- 1:39Speaker 5: with my family and all that good stuff.
- 1:42Speaker 3: So sequel right now, Michael, did you know Juliana's backstory
- 1:47Speaker 3: when you guys met.
- 1:49Speaker 7: Actually, no, I didn't.
- 1:51Speaker 1: We met in the Hamptons last summer and that was
- 1:55Speaker 1: the first time you know, i'd met, I'd heard of
- 1:57Speaker 1: Juliana's name, So yeah, I had no idea.
- 2:02Speaker 3: And when you found out, kind of what was your
- 2:05Speaker 3: internal reaction?
- 2:06Speaker 7: Good question. I don't know that I had one.
- 2:09Speaker 1: You know, I guess I'm around a lot of folks
- 2:13Speaker 1: that kind of come from the reality world. So for me,
- 2:18Speaker 1: I guess I didn't have any sort of crazy reaction.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I had already kind of we'd already had quite a
- 2:23Speaker 1: number of conversations by that point, so for me, it
- 2:26Speaker 1: really kind of didn't change much.
- 2:28Speaker 4: You know, Well, tell us your meat story, what's your meat?
- 2:31Speaker 7: Cute? Go ahead.
- 2:35Speaker 5: So I got invited to a few events in the
- 2:39Speaker 5: Hampton's and I was very hesitant to go, just because
- 2:44Speaker 5: it was like the first time I was going into
- 2:47Speaker 5: that world alone and like going into a weekend house
- 2:51Speaker 5: with like different people from reality TV and.
- 2:53Speaker 2: All daminating the Hamptons is itself. The Hamptons freaks me out,
- 2:59Speaker 2: I know.
- 3:00Speaker 5: I was like begging the people that were inviting me.
- 3:02Speaker 5: I was like, can I bring a friend? And they
- 3:04Speaker 5: were like no, And I wasn't even going to go,
- 3:06Speaker 5: And so it was super last minute that I ended
- 3:09Speaker 5: up getting there when they were still kind of like
- 3:11Speaker 5: setting everything up for the weekend before anybody else was there,
- 3:15Speaker 5: and he was there, and then we just ended up,
- 3:20Speaker 5: you know, spending the whole weekend together and going He
- 3:23Speaker 5: was at all the events that we were going to,
- 3:25Speaker 5: like set up the whole weekend, produce the whole you know, spiel,
- 3:30Speaker 5: and so I ended up spending a lot more time
- 3:33Speaker 5: with him, I think than most other people that I
- 3:35Speaker 5: was in the house with, and then.
- 3:39Speaker 7: That's how we met.
- 3:40Speaker 4: It was super cute and fun and flirty.
- 3:42Speaker 3: So I mean, give me some clarity there for those
- 3:45Speaker 3: that don't know, including myself, Michael, you set up the weekend,
- 3:50Speaker 3: Juliana says, what does that mean?
- 3:53Speaker 7: So I want a creative agency.
- 3:55Speaker 1: We worked with a number of different brands to build
- 3:58Speaker 1: out product launches, UH influencer houses, different events that they
- 4:02Speaker 1: do throughout the year. And so I had been part
- 4:06Speaker 1: of the particular influencer house that Juliana was invited to
- 4:10Speaker 1: last summer, So something that you know, we set up
- 4:13Speaker 1: for the month of June or July.
- 4:16Speaker 7: Was it July, and so just one of.
- 4:20Speaker 1: The weekends that that I had worked on when when
- 4:23Speaker 1: Juliana was invited out, I had been part of that event.
- 4:26Speaker 1: You know, it was my event that I was producing with,
- 4:29Speaker 1: you know, a media company, and so we we just
- 4:33Speaker 1: you know, from start to finished, we take care of
- 4:34Speaker 1: everything that that goes.
- 4:35Speaker 7: On in that house. And you as Juliana mentioned, she
- 4:39Speaker 7: kind of shown up early.
- 4:41Speaker 1: It was the first you know, I was kind of
- 4:43Speaker 1: still there, you know, making sure things were going well,
- 4:45Speaker 1: and when she came in, we just we had you
- 4:48Speaker 1: know a lot of time to kind of sit and
- 4:50Speaker 1: talk before all the chaos really and so like actually said,
- 4:53Speaker 1: you know, it can be intimidating in Hampton the summer
- 4:56Speaker 1: in and of itself, so you know, just we had
- 5:00Speaker 1: some times to just kind of avoid all that for
- 5:01Speaker 1: a little while and we got a chance to talk,
- 5:04Speaker 1: and you know, that's.
- 5:05Speaker 2: How we met doing on a How fresh out of
- 5:07Speaker 2: the relationship with the grant were you when you guys
- 5:09Speaker 2: met publicly?
- 5:10Speaker 5: I think it was like a month maybe so maybe
- 5:16Speaker 5: even like.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Three weeks timing there, Yeah.
- 5:19Speaker 5: Truly, I mean, and when I left, like I had
- 5:23Speaker 5: you know, we had such a fun weekend and we
- 5:26Speaker 5: exchanged like phone numbers and all of that, and I
- 5:30Speaker 5: was a bit hesitant still, like even though I knew
- 5:32Speaker 5: I liked him, and he was so like sweet and
- 5:34Speaker 5: kind to me and made me feel like so welcomed
- 5:37Speaker 5: and awesome throughout such a kind of emotionally crazy weekend,
- 5:42Speaker 5: just because of everything you do and all the people
- 5:44Speaker 5: year around and YadA, YadA, YadA, And yeah, I was
- 5:48Speaker 5: like I was hesitant to like start something new. I
- 5:51Speaker 5: don't love to like jump into anything. And you know,
- 5:54Speaker 5: pre Bachelor, I had been singing for a very long
- 5:57Speaker 5: time and it takes me a while to let anybody in,
- 6:01Speaker 5: which I think is like the opposite of what people
- 6:04Speaker 5: saw from me on The Bachelor. So it was like
- 6:06Speaker 5: kind of funny to feel like I was like nervous,
- 6:10Speaker 5: but that is like truly who I am, and Michael
- 6:13Speaker 5: was very patient and kind with me, while it took
- 6:16Speaker 5: me like a while to just be like, Okay, you
- 6:19Speaker 5: know what, I do really like him and I'm not
- 6:21Speaker 5: going to hold back anymore. And then you know, a
- 6:24Speaker 5: few months later we started really really dating.
- 6:28Speaker 3: You know, I want to drill into this a little
- 6:30Speaker 3: bit because Juliana, we did have you on I don't
- 6:33Speaker 3: know how long it was post breakup or whatever, but
- 6:37Speaker 3: you I remember that conversation vividly because you had an
- 6:42Speaker 3: enormous amount of empathy care consideration for the noise that
- 6:49Speaker 3: is this show when a breakup happens, and I just
- 6:52Speaker 3: felt like it was I remember Ashley and I got
- 6:54Speaker 3: off the interview with you and we said about that,
- 6:56Speaker 3: that's like one of the most mature interviews we've ever done,
- 7:00Speaker 3: because you cared so much at you. It was very
- 7:02Speaker 3: clear you had moved on and moved on fully, but
- 7:06Speaker 3: you cared, which doesn't always happen in this world. Yeah,
- 7:09Speaker 3: but there was also you know, the hint and the
- 7:12Speaker 3: sprinkling in that you were happy about something. It was new,
- 7:16Speaker 3: but you're happy. Were you nervous to bring up to
- 7:22Speaker 3: Michael though the details of the past, like the breakup
- 7:26Speaker 3: and the whole thing, since Michael didn't know that about you?
- 7:32Speaker 5: No, I don't know. I wasn't nervous because I think
- 7:36Speaker 5: the way I look at it is we met and
- 7:40Speaker 5: had such a good amount of time where we really
- 7:43Speaker 5: just got to like get to know each other that
- 7:47Speaker 5: you know, I don't judge somebody based off of their past,
- 7:51Speaker 5: and he didn't seem like that type of person to either. So,
- 7:55Speaker 5: you know, we talked about how it ended. I mean,
- 7:58Speaker 5: it's public, right, you could look it up. He probably
- 8:01Speaker 5: sees things online all the time about it, you know,
- 8:05Speaker 5: But I think it was the reality is he got
- 8:08Speaker 5: to know me as a person, and I just didn't
- 8:11Speaker 5: feel like he was the type of person that would
- 8:13Speaker 5: judge me because of, you know, the things I had
- 8:16Speaker 5: to go through with the public breakup, the relationship itself,
- 8:19Speaker 5: and you know, who I was presented to be like
- 8:22Speaker 5: on a show. He knew the real me already. I
- 8:25Speaker 5: think I did.
- 8:29Speaker 7: I don't think I. I think we talked about it
- 8:31Speaker 7: until maybe December January.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Yeah, and you met in July, So you guys like
- 8:37Speaker 3: dug in a few months in right.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I think, like Juliana said, there was there was
- 8:42Speaker 1: kind of that hesitation, you know, early on, you know,
- 8:44Speaker 1: we reconnected it up Otober November really started talking from there,
- 8:50Speaker 1: but it probably wasn't until January that I had kind
- 8:52Speaker 1: of known the full.
- 8:54Speaker 7: Kind of full details.
- 8:55Speaker 1: But you know, we had talked about it together, and
- 8:57Speaker 1: you know, like anything and change much.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Yeah, the hardest one, honestly. I mean, I remember my
- 9:08Speaker 3: wife and I met. I wasn't necessarily nervous to tell her.
- 9:13Speaker 3: I felt like she liked me enough that it wasn't
- 9:15Speaker 3: going to change things. I was really nervous to talk
- 9:16Speaker 3: to her parents about it.
- 9:18Speaker 4: About the experience.
- 9:20Speaker 3: They watched you, her parents, well, her mom watched me.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Dad would never.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Send you literally did nothing ever wrong. You were everybody.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Everybody wants you to be with their daughters.
- 9:33Speaker 3: It's still nerve wracking, though, it is because you're like this.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Dad probably thinks that I dated thirty women for every
- 9:43Speaker 3: reason that I think like a lot of men would
- 9:46Speaker 3: date thirty women, and like it was hard. Juliana, have
- 9:49Speaker 3: you talked to Michael's parents about it?
- 9:52Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 9:53Speaker 5: I think, you know, well, like they know you know,
- 9:56Speaker 5: I think and that was for sure are the most
- 10:01Speaker 5: nerve wracking part of like meeting the family, you know,
- 10:04Speaker 5: because it's just like they didn't watch, which I think,
- 10:10Speaker 5: you know, it wasn't anything that they like, they're really
- 10:14Speaker 5: interested in watching, and they do say they did say
- 10:17Speaker 5: to me, you know, they just couldn't imagine like seeing
- 10:20Speaker 5: me on reality TV because you know, it just you
- 10:24Speaker 5: think of what type of person when you don't watch
- 10:26Speaker 5: reality TV, like what was on and the motives and
- 10:28Speaker 5: all that that they might have behind it all, and
- 10:31Speaker 5: you know, I think it's a lot of a facade
- 10:34Speaker 5: when you don't like know somebody truly that's been on
- 10:37Speaker 5: reality TV. So I thought that was like a good compliment,
- 10:39Speaker 5: even though you know, I think all the girls that
- 10:42Speaker 5: were on our season are really genuine people anyways, like
- 10:45Speaker 5: I would say of them went on, you know.
- 10:47Speaker 2: And you're the cleanest bunch of reality TV out there. Yeah, yeah, Michael,
- 11:04Speaker 2: please de convince us, de influence us that you guys
- 11:07Speaker 2: aren't really married, because we think you're married because you've
- 11:09Speaker 2: been calling her wifey and then Juliana you.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Posted something about like I've gotten vows.
- 11:14Speaker 1: In my mind, there is a reason that camera is raised,
- 11:18Speaker 1: you can't see anybody's hands, and you're.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Trying on wedding dresses. So you guys are married.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Okay, we're just gonna say here are I guess tell
- 11:29Speaker 3: us the question like Ashley asked, are you married? Yes
- 11:32Speaker 3: or no?
- 11:33Speaker 5: I think we're just it's not that oh yes or no.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Yes, no they are we got al exclusive.
- 11:42Speaker 5: No. I think it's just you know, we're happy and
- 11:45Speaker 5: we are, like, I don't know, I've taken my time
- 11:50Speaker 5: with like sharing with the world our relationship at all.
- 11:54Speaker 5: Michael like totally hard launched us online, which was like
- 11:59Speaker 5: so funny because he didn't even realize what he had done.
- 12:01Speaker 5: And now it's just a matter of like being comfortable
- 12:05Speaker 5: with what we what we share because I don't know.
- 12:07Speaker 5: I like, I like our life and I like sharing
- 12:11Speaker 5: parts of it when I feel ready. And I have
- 12:14Speaker 5: such a big family and I love enjoying like life
- 12:16Speaker 5: with them. So we will not confirm nor deny.
- 12:21Speaker 3: It's amazing. Yes, okay, say you are married. You mentioned
- 12:28Speaker 3: that you are enjoying like keeping it kind of to yourselves.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Was that a conversation the two of you had together
- 12:37Speaker 3: to keep this between the two of you and.
- 12:39Speaker 5: Social media and conversation.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Oh goodness, this is so good.
- 12:46Speaker 7: It is so good.
- 12:47Speaker 3: I'm proud. I mean, I'm I'm all for it. I
- 12:51Speaker 3: just wish you would tell us here so I could
- 12:53Speaker 3: get the headline out of it. But that's fine if
- 12:54Speaker 3: you don't want to.
- 12:55Speaker 4: You guys basically already gave yourself the headline. So thank
- 12:58Speaker 4: you so much.
- 12:58Speaker 2: It'll be out there, especially on weekly I'm sure.
- 13:00Speaker 4: In a couple of hours.
- 13:03Speaker 2: And that would mean that you are already a step mom, Juliana,
- 13:06Speaker 2: because we have learned through you know, maybe a little
- 13:09Speaker 2: Instagram stocking that Michael is a dad.
- 13:14Speaker 7: That is true.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Yeah, and kind of goes back to, you know, some
- 13:18Speaker 1: of the conversations that we were open about and talked
- 13:21Speaker 1: about early on. That was something that I you know,
- 13:24Speaker 1: I brought up obviously right away, not something that you know,
- 13:27Speaker 1: I hide obviously I'm very proud of.
- 13:31Speaker 7: And so it was kind of both right. It's like,
- 13:33Speaker 7: you know, talking about your past.
- 13:35Speaker 1: And I obviously have one as well, so you know,
- 13:37Speaker 1: we're both very comfortable with that.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I wanted to dig a little bit to Michael.
- 13:42Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know if you share much about
- 13:44Speaker 3: but how old he's four years old. Four years old.
- 13:47Speaker 3: What a fun time. I mean, just like the coolest thing.
- 13:51Speaker 7: The fast time.
- 13:51Speaker 4: I have a four year old boy too.
- 13:53Speaker 7: There you go.
- 13:53Speaker 4: What's his name, Dawson? About you, Lucas all cute.
- 14:00Speaker 7: He's a really good time loves.
- 14:03Speaker 4: I've never seen two people so giddy before.
- 14:06Speaker 3: It is so fun. I want to be giddy me too.
- 14:09Speaker 3: I wish Ashley and I were in the same room
- 14:11Speaker 3: together with each other, just with you guys. It's exuding
- 14:17Speaker 3: through the camera here, Juliana. When you found out that
- 14:21Speaker 3: Michael was a father, obviously that is a big deal.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Uh to process quickly, right? Oh? I like this guy,
- 14:27Speaker 3: and you know there's something else coming into my life
- 14:30Speaker 3: and my world. How has that transition been for you
- 14:34Speaker 3: from you know, dating to I want to say marriage,
- 14:38Speaker 3: but I'll just say dating to now.
- 14:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean again, when we had first met, he
- 14:45Speaker 5: was very open about it, and I think it was
- 14:51Speaker 5: also one of the reasons that I kind of was
- 14:53Speaker 5: like a little hesitant, just because that is it is
- 14:57Speaker 5: nerve wracking, It's I don't know, I think it's a
- 15:00Speaker 5: little intimidating too. I haven't really been around like children
- 15:05Speaker 5: in my life I'm like the kind of on the
- 15:06Speaker 5: younger side of my cousins, and I have my sister's son,
- 15:11Speaker 5: my godson, and my nephew that I'm like obsessed with,
- 15:14Speaker 5: And so that was like my first, I don't know experience.
- 15:17Speaker 5: So I had a lot of conversation with my dad
- 15:20Speaker 5: after I went to We went to Florida together for
- 15:24Speaker 5: like kind of like the first trip, and I decided
- 15:27Speaker 5: to kind of like, you know, just like let go
- 15:30Speaker 5: of my fears of like rushing into something. I think
- 15:33Speaker 5: I had like enough time had passed, and my dad
- 15:36Speaker 5: asked me, like, you know, what did you like and
- 15:38Speaker 5: what did you learn from the experience? And I just
- 15:41Speaker 5: like came back from Florida and I was like so
- 15:44Speaker 5: utterly obsessed with him at that point, just because we
- 15:48Speaker 5: spent even more time together and he like proved to
- 15:51Speaker 5: me that he's such a.
- 15:52Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 15:53Speaker 5: I could go on and on about the way he
- 15:55Speaker 5: made me feel that weekend, and I said to my dad,
- 15:57Speaker 5: you know, I had this idea of the person I
- 15:59Speaker 5: would spend my life with, you know, and moving was
- 16:04Speaker 5: not a part of that list. And you know, having
- 16:07Speaker 5: a son, I didn't know if I would if if
- 16:11Speaker 5: you would like me like how that would go? It
- 16:14Speaker 5: just was so many like it's so much anxiety around that.
- 16:18Speaker 5: And you know, I think when I started to make
- 16:22Speaker 5: the trips out to New York, one of the you said, well,
- 16:25Speaker 5: you know, we're going to the band aid off of
- 16:26Speaker 5: this one and I met his son and it was
- 16:31Speaker 5: I don't know, it was life changing. You know, he's
- 16:33Speaker 5: a very he's he's so welcoming, he's so kind his son,
- 16:38Speaker 5: and you know, I think the transition is still like happening.
- 16:42Speaker 5: You know, it's not something that you just like pick
- 16:45Speaker 5: up on right away. I think there's a lot of
- 16:47Speaker 5: learning that comes with it. But it's been really fun
- 16:51Speaker 5: and it's it's made me really excited to, you know,
- 16:55Speaker 5: have have kids of our own one day. And you know,
- 16:58Speaker 5: it's like as I get to learn, I get to
- 17:01Speaker 5: learn a lot from him, and I'm really thankful to
- 17:04Speaker 5: be in that position.
- 17:05Speaker 3: It's so cool. It's it's a beautiful story. But your concerns,
- 17:09Speaker 3: I think are so valid, Like that's a huge thing
- 17:13Speaker 3: to like process quickly. Is am I ready? You can
- 17:16Speaker 3: like me? Uh, Michael, how did you introduce Juliana to
- 17:20Speaker 3: your son for the first time?
- 17:21Speaker 1: That's a great question. That we spent We've spent so
- 17:23Speaker 1: much time together with him now. I think the first
- 17:28Speaker 1: time was at my dad's house.
- 17:29Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, right, yeah, he.
- 17:31Speaker 7: Came, yeah, kind of flew in one weekend.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Yeah well, yeah, yeah, a whole bunch prior, as you
- 17:39Speaker 1: kind of already had known, you know, how he was
- 17:40Speaker 1: going to react just from from multiple you know, face times.
- 17:44Speaker 7: But obviously it's you know, it's not quite the same.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I picked Juliana from the airport one weekend.
- 17:51Speaker 7: You know, I don't I don't remember you got date
- 17:53Speaker 7: by now, but.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Yeah, you know I kind of eased into, you know,
- 17:59Speaker 1: because at four, I'm sure you can imagine, you know,
- 18:02Speaker 1: he's got a ton of energy, super excited.
- 18:04Speaker 7: You know, we'd already again met her on FaceTime.
- 18:07Speaker 1: We'd already kind of tried to, you know, explain the
- 18:09Speaker 1: situation to him to a degree. So we we actually
- 18:14Speaker 1: were at my we're at my parents' house, and he
- 18:18Speaker 1: had been there, and you know, I went to pick
- 18:19Speaker 1: Juliana from the airport and we kind of you know,
- 18:22Speaker 1: met my dad, my stepmom, my sisters, and you know,
- 18:25Speaker 1: my son all at the same time.
- 18:27Speaker 7: So it was kind of again like being the band
- 18:28Speaker 7: aid off, but it's also just kind of.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Helpful and and the fact like again he's he's you know,
- 18:34Speaker 1: he's he's four. He loves to run around, he loves
- 18:36Speaker 1: to do all these things, and so they kind of
- 18:39Speaker 1: helped us, like you know, navigate that first introduction and
- 18:43Speaker 1: and at dinner that night, and it was just it
- 18:46Speaker 1: was kind of hopefully very common for you, but yeah,
- 18:49Speaker 1: it was it was that was like the first the
- 18:52Speaker 1: first time, and then I think the day later we
- 18:54Speaker 1: kind of spent the day together, just the three of
- 18:56Speaker 1: us and got a chance to you know, see you
- 18:59Speaker 1: know how Juliana was going to react to this again,
- 19:02Speaker 1: you know, like you said that it can be obviously
- 19:05Speaker 1: very scary, and I felt that too. From my end,
- 19:08Speaker 1: I wanted to make sure that Guliana was comfortable with it,
- 19:11Speaker 1: and I, you know, I understand it's it's not the
- 19:13Speaker 1: you know, the most typical situation in the world, but obviously,
- 19:17Speaker 1: like I said, he fell in love with her right away,
- 19:19Speaker 1: and we're seeing that every single day now that you know,
- 19:22Speaker 1: we're together, that that he really you know, enjoys having
- 19:24Speaker 1: her here as much as I do.
- 19:27Speaker 4: And so cute. We know, you guys are living in
- 19:32Speaker 4: the Tri State area. But background looks like you guys
- 19:36Speaker 4: are a little bit more suburban. Where are you living.
- 19:39Speaker 1: It's a great should have covered that. We're all Long Island,
- 19:44Speaker 1: so we're just outside of the.
- 19:46Speaker 4: City and can I see your finger?
- 19:50Speaker 3: Actually not going to leave this alone.
- 19:54Speaker 2: The other hand, there's some hiding going on there, so
- 20:01Speaker 2: that's another clue for you guys. So you're living in
- 20:14Speaker 2: New York area, Long Island. What's the adjustment been like
- 20:18Speaker 2: since moving in? Because you guys have only been in
- 20:21Speaker 2: this place for two weeks or so together.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Is this a new place? Is it your place?
- 20:26Speaker 5: Actually?
- 20:27Speaker 3: I have this feeling that they only told us they've
- 20:29Speaker 3: been doing this for two weeks.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Well, no, we saw the moving process on Instagram, like
- 20:33Speaker 2: the drive from.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Boston to New York.
- 20:36Speaker 3: I think it was I mean it could have been faked. Yeah,
- 20:38Speaker 3: I think it was a trick.
- 20:40Speaker 7: You never know.
- 20:43Speaker 5: What's funny is I think, as Mike said, we've spent
- 20:46Speaker 5: so much time together, like when we came back from
- 20:50Speaker 5: our first trip in Florida in January, Like, I think
- 20:53Speaker 5: there was very minimal lengths of like stretches of time
- 20:57Speaker 5: that we didn't see each other. Whether I was here
- 21:01Speaker 5: or you were in Boston, So it does feel like,
- 21:05Speaker 5: you know, I did. I moved all my stuff in here,
- 21:08Speaker 5: which is like so fun and I don't know, it's it's, uh,
- 21:13Speaker 5: we've never had like a home like our own, and
- 21:17Speaker 5: so you know, going from an apartment to like a
- 21:20Speaker 5: full house has been really cool. But yeah, I mean
- 21:24Speaker 5: people keep saying like the first year of living with
- 21:27Speaker 5: each other is tough, and I can imagine, you know,
- 21:29Speaker 5: being realistic about it, We're going to have some moments
- 21:33Speaker 5: here and there where like things will disagree on or
- 21:36Speaker 5: whatever it is. But we've it has felt like to
- 21:39Speaker 5: me we've like already lived with each other, whether that's
- 21:42Speaker 5: been in Boston or here. Literally since January.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Yeah, we've spent you know, pretty long stretches in you know,
- 21:50Speaker 1: both areas. So you know, we've we've been here for week,
- 21:53Speaker 1: two weeks at a time. We've been there for for
- 21:55Speaker 1: even longer than you know, in Boston, for even longer
- 21:57Speaker 1: than that.
- 21:58Speaker 7: So yeah, it really.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Was more about just getting all the stuff here about
- 22:03Speaker 1: the feeling kind.
- 22:03Speaker 7: Of is it was already in place at least from yours.
- 22:07Speaker 5: Yeah, But I think something cool too, is like, you know,
- 22:10Speaker 5: this has been Michael's home for ten years.
- 22:14Speaker 7: Ish, Yeah, I bought I bought this house almost ten
- 22:18Speaker 7: years ago.
- 22:19Speaker 5: Yeah, so like what's really fun is like making this
- 22:22Speaker 5: like our home, you know, together, and he is you know,
- 22:26Speaker 5: I'll give him credit though he's not like a like
- 22:29Speaker 5: a usual dude. That I feel like is like no furniture,
- 22:34Speaker 5: like you know, no head over, you know, you you.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Really good taste.
- 22:38Speaker 5: I'm just making tweaks, is what I think you were
- 22:41Speaker 5: getting them together.
- 22:41Speaker 1: So it already looks significantly better I did. I mean,
- 22:45Speaker 1: I grew up with four sisters, a mom and stepmom. Like,
- 22:48Speaker 1: I'm kind of used to things being neater than average.
- 22:51Speaker 1: But it's already significantly better than it's been the last
- 22:55Speaker 1: ten years.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Neater than average goodness. I mean, and I love my
- 23:01Speaker 3: wife to death duest part, but I think my world
- 23:04Speaker 3: got a little messier when I got married. I feel
- 23:07Speaker 3: like I was probably too. Yeah, Jared's did all mostly
- 23:11Speaker 3: the kids, though.
- 23:12Speaker 7: I didn't say I had an influence getting Yeah, there's
- 23:16Speaker 7: there's it's wild.
- 23:18Speaker 3: I just had this side note here. I just had
- 23:20Speaker 3: this conversation with my buddy this morning, because there's something
- 23:23Speaker 3: about our wives that have like a shoe box and
- 23:26Speaker 3: they just stick it in the recycle when it's fully
- 23:29Speaker 3: still a shoe box, and I'm like, you can't break
- 23:31Speaker 3: that down. No, we don't.
- 23:33Speaker 4: We don't break the breaking down boxes is for the men.
- 23:35Speaker 7: I was just going to say, the first day in here,
- 23:38Speaker 7: we had.
- 23:39Speaker 1: A ton of hounds on packages boxes that we got. Now,
- 23:44Speaker 1: I got to attribute this to her dad, because I
- 23:47Speaker 1: know it's him to start, but every single box that
- 23:50Speaker 1: came in this house was broken down and it wasn't
- 23:52Speaker 1: me who did it.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Juliana, keep that up, don't don't stop. It's a big deal.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Really, when I knew, yeah, that I should or already
- 24:01Speaker 1: have proposed.
- 24:05Speaker 3: That leads me to my next question for you, Michael.
- 24:08Speaker 3: I think Juliana we've probably already answered this based on
- 24:11Speaker 3: our last interview with her. She was giddy. But when
- 24:14Speaker 3: did you know that Juliana was the one?
- 24:21Speaker 1: I mean, I would I could argue right away. You know,
- 24:23Speaker 1: I know that's probably hard to believe. You know, when
- 24:27Speaker 1: we talked about that Hampton's weekend, you know, she she
- 24:30Speaker 1: stepped into that, into that house, and you know, again,
- 24:34Speaker 1: I've I've been in that I've been in that world
- 24:37Speaker 1: for quite a long time, you know, in the experiential
- 24:41Speaker 1: space that I've I've worked in for years and years,
- 24:44Speaker 1: and I've met so many people that come in and
- 24:46Speaker 1: and just you know, either feel entitled to be there
- 24:51Speaker 1: or or just.
- 24:51Speaker 7: Enjoying, you know, their own time there, not that they
- 24:53Speaker 7: have to feel entitled to it.
- 24:55Speaker 1: But you know, Juliana just to me was was so genuine,
- 24:58Speaker 1: so authentic, and and we had so much fun that weekend.
- 25:01Speaker 7: And I had, you know, had a couple people come.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Up to me that were in the house that were
- 25:06Speaker 1: you know, friends of Juliana's, friends of mine, that were
- 25:09Speaker 1: you know, that had made comments like that just seemed different,
- 25:13Speaker 1: and you know, I had said at the time, It's
- 25:15Speaker 1: like it felt different to me. I was like that,
- 25:18Speaker 1: I really thought that there was there was something there.
- 25:21Speaker 1: And so when that, you know, that last the few
- 25:23Speaker 1: weeks after that or post you know, that weekend, when
- 25:28Speaker 1: things kind of didn't pan out right away, I.
- 25:29Speaker 7: Was like, you know, that was upset. I was like that,
- 25:32Speaker 7: I really thought that that was you know, something to me.
- 25:34Speaker 1: And so, you know, I think I felt that then
- 25:38Speaker 1: certainly when we had went on our first kind of
- 25:40Speaker 1: trip together. We were together for I think almost a week.
- 25:43Speaker 1: You know, we went on, we went, we had New
- 25:46Speaker 1: Year's together, we had you know, vacation, we had some
- 25:48Speaker 1: some you know post time together after coming back, and
- 25:52Speaker 1: you know, I think I knew at that point, you know,
- 25:55Speaker 1: where where this was headed. Again, I'm not you know,
- 25:57Speaker 1: I'm not twenty one. I'm in my thirties. Here, I
- 26:01Speaker 1: kind of know where I wanted things to go. And so,
- 26:06Speaker 1: you know, it wasn't like I was just kind of,
- 26:08Speaker 1: you know, there for no reason. I really kind of
- 26:11Speaker 1: I was hopeful that this would turn into something more,
- 26:13Speaker 1: and you know, thankfully it went exactly where I thought
- 26:16Speaker 1: it was.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Going to go.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Yeah, my last question for you is how did her
- 26:23Speaker 2: dad respond to asking for her hand in marriage so quickly?
- 26:27Speaker 2: Because we love her dad from the show. He's the
- 26:30Speaker 2: best Italian dude from Boston.
- 26:34Speaker 7: Sure, I'll have to ask him that to make sure.
- 26:38Speaker 7: How did he react. It's a good question.
- 26:44Speaker 2: So well last some other time and you guys are
- 26:46Speaker 2: more open about that element of your relationship.
- 26:50Speaker 3: It's it's so good. I mean, I'm just happy her
- 26:53Speaker 3: dad's happy, really because I loved him so much on
- 26:55Speaker 3: the show. I wanted him. I wanted him equally as
- 26:58Speaker 3: happy as I wanted Juliana happy. Honestly, that's that's all
- 27:02Speaker 3: I've wished for.
- 27:03Speaker 5: Yeah, my dad is truly, like I think, you know
- 27:07Speaker 5: I've said this before, is my dad made it almost
- 27:10Speaker 5: so hard for me to feel like there was going
- 27:13Speaker 5: to be someone out there that I could spend my
- 27:16Speaker 5: life with just because he's so amazing, and I don't know,
- 27:20Speaker 5: I think, you know, I'm now I feel so lucky
- 27:23Speaker 5: that I feel like I have found that because Michael
- 27:26Speaker 5: makes me feel you know, as supported and you know,
- 27:30Speaker 5: as chosen and loved as you know my dad has.
- 27:34Speaker 5: And it's of course a different kind of love, but
- 27:36Speaker 5: all the basics of when things are bad, you know,
- 27:40Speaker 5: I want to call Now, I'm like picking up the phone,
- 27:42Speaker 5: like do I call my dad or Michael? You know,
- 27:44Speaker 5: I've never had that before, Like when something so exciting, I.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Feel, well, my dad's still my emergency contact.
- 27:53Speaker 3: And that's okay, Sure you get used to it, trust me, fine, because.
- 27:57Speaker 7: I may I may call him first as well. He
- 28:01Speaker 7: is that he is that awesome. I'm going to be
- 28:03Speaker 7: calling you first.
- 28:05Speaker 3: It's so fun. What's next for the two of you
- 28:08Speaker 3: as we close up here? Anything new you've done a
- 28:12Speaker 3: lot recently. But what's next.
- 28:14Speaker 5: I think just some a lot of things, you know,
- 28:17Speaker 5: but a lot of really fun things. I think turning
- 28:19Speaker 5: you know, this house, like I said, into our home
- 28:21Speaker 5: is really fun. Learning you know, the area that I'm
- 28:25Speaker 5: in is going to be exciting. I have the best
- 28:28Speaker 5: tour guide, and I don't know, just lots of family trips,
- 28:32Speaker 5: lots of family moments and loving every every step of
- 28:37Speaker 5: the way.
- 28:38Speaker 7: Maybe planning a honeymoon, you know, yeah.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe, yeah, it would be planning a honeymoon. This
- 28:45Speaker 3: is the most fun. Actually, I don't know if you
- 28:46Speaker 3: can remember this chapter of life, but it was so fun.
- 28:50Speaker 3: It's so exciting. There's everything new that the rest is
- 28:54Speaker 3: super fun too. I have a blast. We're just in
- 28:56Speaker 3: bed at eight thirty now. Things the last.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Five years we fall asleep in our four year old's
- 29:02Speaker 2: bed together and it's a bed last night with him.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, so things change, but it's great. Hey, thanks
- 29:08Speaker 3: for jumping on. You know, it's really fun to talk
- 29:10Speaker 3: to you, to the two of you, Juliana, it's really
- 29:13Speaker 3: great to kind of see this go full circle from
- 29:17Speaker 3: the initial interview we did with you kind of like
- 29:20Speaker 3: hinting at things to the confidence and the excitement. Now, Michael,
- 29:23Speaker 3: it's great to meet you and we wish you the best.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Just do us a favor when you do come out
- 29:30Speaker 3: publicly about the news of the wedding, and this is
- 29:34Speaker 3: just between us here and all the listeners that will
- 29:37Speaker 3: be tuning in, come back on and talk to us
- 29:39Speaker 3: about all the details, will you.
- 29:41Speaker 7: You got it?
- 29:42Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 29:43Speaker 2: But you know there's going to be an actual wedding
- 29:44Speaker 2: because you've been trying on dresses and I feel like
- 29:46Speaker 2: you're a girly girl that would have to have the
- 29:48Speaker 2: dress moment and have to have your dad walked on
- 29:50Speaker 2: you down the aisle, so like we're excited for that already.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Well, guys, thank you so much. Until next time, I've
- 29:56Speaker 4: been Ashley and.
- 29:57Speaker 3: I've been Ben. We'll talk to you soon.
