- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio. Hey everybody,
- 0:06Speaker 1: it's Trista with Deanna here, and we are back. We
- 0:09Speaker 1: had to break it up because we had a lot
- 0:13Speaker 1: to say, but we are back and we're ready to
- 0:16Speaker 1: talk about the Before the Final Rows special. When you
- 0:19Speaker 1: first met Taylor, had you watched Mormon Wives yet?
- 0:23Speaker 2: I did.
- 0:24Speaker 3: I have been jommling a lot for work, and some
- 0:26Speaker 3: of my girlfriends are like, oh my gosh, while you're
- 0:28Speaker 3: in the road, you have to watch the Mormon Wives.
- 0:30Speaker 3: And I'm like, what are you people talking about? And
- 0:32Speaker 3: I did give it a go, you know what I mean.
- 0:34Speaker 3: I was like, wait, these girls only drink soda, and
- 0:36Speaker 3: why are there twenty three different kinds of soda? And
- 0:39Speaker 3: why why do they all have the most beautiful hair
- 0:42Speaker 3: in the world, Like they all have the best hair height.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Maybe my new calling is to move to Utah, you know,
- 0:51Speaker 3: maybe I need to move and become a Mormon wife
- 0:55Speaker 3: and live in Utah. Except I hate the snow. But
- 0:57Speaker 3: they have such good skin and they have such good hair,
- 1:01Speaker 3: and like if they just get paid to like hang
- 1:03Speaker 3: out all day and talk about their cream soda, like
- 1:06Speaker 3: listen that, I feel like I'm there in life now, Trista.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Okay, do they talk about because I went to this
- 1:15Speaker 1: place the other day? Actually I was at the mall
- 1:17Speaker 1: with this place. I went to the mall the other
- 1:20Speaker 1: day and there was like a little stand where you
- 1:22Speaker 1: get the where you get SODA's and they had dirty
- 1:26Speaker 1: sodas or whatever, and I was like, well what do
- 1:28Speaker 1: I get? Do they ever talk about what their order is?
- 1:31Speaker 1: Because I really want to know what's good, Like, I
- 1:33Speaker 1: don't want to just just order they do.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Did you not start on season one? I haven't yet.
- 1:40Speaker 2: I'm so cool. I'm so mad at myself. Okay, you
- 1:43Speaker 2: got to start on season one.
- 1:44Speaker 3: So season one, I feel like did a really great
- 1:46Speaker 3: job of laying up these women, you know what I mean,
- 1:49Speaker 3: kind of what their lives are, what it entails in Utah,
- 1:51Speaker 3: and it is a very different lifestyle because traditionally, if
- 1:55Speaker 3: you are Mormon, you don't drink, there's no sex before
- 1:57Speaker 3: marriage and all of these things. And I believe that's
- 2:00Speaker 3: why Taylor Frankie Paul stood out because she was very
- 2:05Speaker 3: much a part of this mom talk group, but like
- 2:08Speaker 3: her life was not these things, Like she the whole
- 2:11Speaker 3: scenario where there was the swinging going on and that's.
- 2:15Speaker 2: So unheard of in their religion and culture.
- 2:18Speaker 3: And you know that she was divorced, and then there
- 2:21Speaker 3: was Dakota, and there's obviously sex out of marriage and
- 2:24Speaker 3: these kids, and so I believe that's why the attraction
- 2:27Speaker 3: to her started, because she seemed so real life like us,
- 2:32Speaker 3: whereas a lot of the other women are very traditional
- 2:36Speaker 3: Mormon and they're just prim and proper and pretty and
- 2:40Speaker 3: sweet and so like, so sheltered, it feels like at times.
- 2:45Speaker 3: So I actually found this show very fascinating in a
- 2:49Speaker 3: sense that like, these women had this social media following
- 2:53Speaker 3: for really the things that I'm telling you their mom
- 2:56Speaker 3: talk account, and then they went on reality television and
- 3:00Speaker 3: just like any of us who have been on reality TV,
- 3:02Speaker 3: you don't necessarily know what to expect when you do it.
- 3:05Speaker 3: And I knew by the end of season one. I
- 3:07Speaker 3: was like, this is hot. There's gonna be like seven seasons.
- 3:09Speaker 3: It's the New Kardashians, you know what I mean. The
- 3:12Speaker 3: Kardashians for me are played out. I haven't watched it
- 3:14Speaker 3: in years, but like, this is the New Kardashians. So yes,
- 3:18Speaker 3: and they do a lot of social media too. Trista
- 3:21Speaker 3: A lot of them talking about their soda order, like
- 3:24Speaker 3: what they get. Like I see Jesse a lot running
- 3:26Speaker 3: through and she's like, oh, today, in.
- 3:27Speaker 2: My coffee I got.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Like they're not supposed to even have caffeine, so like
- 3:31Speaker 3: the fact that they're like coke float is the highlight
- 3:33Speaker 3: of their day. I'm like, damn, I wish I lived
- 3:35Speaker 3: a simple life like that, Like what a joy it
- 3:39Speaker 3: must be to only stress over what's gonna be in
- 3:41Speaker 3: your fruity soda at the.
- 3:42Speaker 2: End of the day, Like take me along, just let
- 3:45Speaker 2: me come and visit.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Well, it's funny, Heather, our producer, just said that Taylor's
- 3:51Speaker 1: order is doctor Pepper, coconut cream, vanilla, and a squeeze
- 3:54Speaker 1: of lime.
- 3:55Speaker 2: And you know what's funny.
- 3:56Speaker 1: That day when I needed a soda, I was craving
- 3:59Speaker 1: it and I don't drink caffeine normally, but I had.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I got a Doctor Pepper with coconut cream, so I
- 4:06Speaker 1: was halfway there. If I just had gotten the vanilla
- 4:09Speaker 1: and squeeze of lime, I would have been there.
- 4:11Speaker 3: So listen, I don't like like sweet things, Like I
- 4:14Speaker 3: could probably go the rest of my life without dessert.
- 4:18Speaker 2: You know, I have Coffeeah, you like savory. I do.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I am a very savory human being, and I put
- 4:22Speaker 3: just a little bit of like the lowest amount of
- 4:24Speaker 3: sugar creamer in my coffee. So when I was reading
- 4:28Speaker 3: Heather's message, doctor pepper, coconut cream, vanilla and a squeeze
- 4:31Speaker 3: of lime, I'm like gagging. Trista, Like that just sounds
- 4:34Speaker 3: like sugar overload to me, Like, do you know that
- 4:37Speaker 3: as women we are only supposed to have twenty five
- 4:39Speaker 3: grams of sugar? I think, Okay, don't quote me on that,
- 4:42Speaker 3: but I think it's twenty five grams of sugar a day.
- 4:45Speaker 2: A day.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I would be like, I would be so jacked up
- 4:49Speaker 3: that Nope, my dog wouldn't even want to be around me.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I just can't.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Yeah, sorry, I have like twenty five grams a breath.
- 4:56Speaker 3: You know, life, What sweet life it is to worry
- 5:01Speaker 3: about your soda.
- 5:02Speaker 2: So, so your time before her.
- 5:05Speaker 3: First episode next week is to catch up on the
- 5:08Speaker 3: Mormon Wives.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Yeah, that believe too.
- 5:10Speaker 3: That will give you so much more of a background,
- 5:12Speaker 3: not just on our girl Taylor Frankie Paul, but also
- 5:15Speaker 3: on all of the women. There's a lot of story,
- 5:19Speaker 3: you know, on each of them. There's a lot of drama.
- 5:23Speaker 2: You know, and sometimes people are like, oh my gosh,
- 5:24Speaker 2: the drama. The drama. Well, I don't know. You take
- 5:27Speaker 2: seven or eight women like that.
- 5:30Speaker 3: You know, in any day to day life, there is
- 5:32Speaker 3: drama you cannot have. And you said it when we
- 5:35Speaker 3: started this episode, You're not gonna love everybody, right, You're
- 5:38Speaker 3: going to try to like people, but.
- 5:39Speaker 2: You're just not. You're just not.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Everyone doesn't have to be your cup of tea. I
- 5:44Speaker 3: don't have to be everyone's cup of tea. That's just
- 5:46Speaker 3: the way it is. So I imagine it is the
- 5:48Speaker 3: same scenario for these women. They're not all each other's
- 5:51Speaker 3: cup of tea. And there is drama. And somebody's on
- 5:54Speaker 3: Dancing with the.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Stars, somebody's on the Bachelorette.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Somebody's not getting famous, someone has too much facework and
- 6:00Speaker 3: regrets it. Like there's all of this stuff, and I
- 6:02Speaker 3: believe like the good news is like we get to
- 6:04Speaker 3: be viewers, Trista, and as a viewer, it's really good TV.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Well, and also I feel like a lot of it,
- 6:12Speaker 1: from what you're saying, we can relate to, like family issues,
- 6:16Speaker 1: you know. I feel like her father didn't her father,
- 6:20Speaker 1: her father passed away right.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yep.
- 6:22Speaker 3: She has a really tough relationship with her mom, and
- 6:24Speaker 3: that plays out on the show in the first well
- 6:27Speaker 3: in every season, but you know, for sure you get
- 6:29Speaker 3: to know it in the first couple of seasons, that
- 6:32Speaker 3: sticky relationship. You know, it's, yeah, here's what I Here's
- 6:36Speaker 3: the other thing. I'm gonna say. The other thing that
- 6:38Speaker 3: I can really appreciate is like Taylor Frankie Paul hasn't
- 6:45Speaker 3: been anything that she's not. She shows up as a
- 6:48Speaker 3: bachelorette on The Mormon Wives as herself good and bad, and.
- 6:54Speaker 2: I like love people like that. I gravitate.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I have a no bullshit meeter, like I don't want
- 7:00Speaker 3: any part of that. And I do appreciate that good
- 7:03Speaker 3: or bad. With everything that she's been through, the arrests,
- 7:06Speaker 3: the drama, the drinking, the sexcapades, all of the things,
- 7:11Speaker 3: she's pretty consistent with who she is, not just on
- 7:15Speaker 3: the show, but I felt when we filmed the you know,
- 7:18Speaker 3: the Bachelorette special as well, but also on her social media,
- 7:21Speaker 3: like she comes yeah as she is good or bad,
- 7:26Speaker 3: and I'm like, I'm here for that. I would much
- 7:29Speaker 3: rather hang out with someone like that versus like someone
- 7:32Speaker 3: who sweeps that shit under the rug and pretends like
- 7:35Speaker 3: life is perfect. I would much rather be on the
- 7:38Speaker 3: other on the other side.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Of it same.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I was just having this conversation with one of my
- 7:43Speaker 1: best friends about I am just craving like deeper relationships.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I don't the superficial stuff.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I'm just like, I mean, it's fine, it's fine to have,
- 7:56Speaker 1: you know, I'm I have. I have good friends that
- 7:59Speaker 1: we just talk about mostly superficial stuff. But I want
- 8:02Speaker 1: to get into the deep conversations, the like being vulnerable
- 8:06Speaker 1: with each other. And that's who she is, Like, she
- 8:09Speaker 1: is vulnerable. It's laid out for all of us to
- 8:12Speaker 1: see and judge, even though we shouldn't. But I feel
- 8:15Speaker 1: the same way. I even not watching Mormon Wives. Going
- 8:19Speaker 1: to the special and meeting Taylor, I know that, or
- 8:23Speaker 1: I knew going into it that she was like controversial,
- 8:26Speaker 1: but I was like, well, good for her for just
- 8:29Speaker 1: being her and not giving two shits about anything, like
- 8:34Speaker 1: just being like, listen, this is me, Take me or
- 8:36Speaker 1: leave me.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I really don't care.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I'm going to do this because they're asking me to
- 8:40Speaker 1: and I would like to find love. And if you
- 8:43Speaker 1: want to watch, go ahead. I would love for you
- 8:45Speaker 1: to watch, but if not, that's fine too.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Even when we film the special, like I I'm with you,
- 8:51Speaker 3: I have no capacity for surface level. I am a
- 8:54Speaker 3: deep human being, Trista. I crave at my core deep
- 8:57Speaker 3: relationships you.
- 8:58Speaker 2: When we get together, it is never surface level, you
- 9:01Speaker 2: know what I mean?
- 9:02Speaker 3: Like we have great conversations and talk about difficult things
- 9:05Speaker 3: and wonderful things, but I have no capacity for surface
- 9:09Speaker 3: level at all. And even when we filmed this special,
- 9:12Speaker 3: and I'd love to get into that more because it
- 9:13Speaker 3: was such a great day. She showed up as herself,
- 9:17Speaker 3: Like she walked in and I know they didn't show it,
- 9:19Speaker 3: but she looked at us all and was like, I'm
- 9:21Speaker 3: so nervous right now. I'm really anxiously overwhelmed. There's a
- 9:24Speaker 3: lot of you and one of me. Like I thought
- 9:27Speaker 3: she did a really good job of advocating for herself
- 9:29Speaker 3: and walking into a room of women who have gone
- 9:31Speaker 3: before you, which is really intimidating, but also showing up
- 9:35Speaker 3: as the new bachelorette and trying to find her feet
- 9:37Speaker 3: on her own. I thought she did a great job
- 9:40Speaker 3: of that, of that being like, I'm nervous, I don't
- 9:42Speaker 3: know what to say, I don't know how to give toast.
- 9:44Speaker 3: I don't know how to be this person that men
- 9:47Speaker 3: want like.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I don't know. I thought she did a great job.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I love that about her.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Totally agree, And honestly, she was so genuine you could
- 9:55Speaker 1: tell like she was in it. She wanted to learn
- 10:00Speaker 1: everything she could from all of us. She wanted to
- 10:02Speaker 1: hear everything that everyone had to say. She had great
- 10:06Speaker 1: questions and they were genuine. They weren't like it wasn't
- 10:11Speaker 1: like a producer was feeding her a question. And maybe
- 10:14Speaker 1: they were, but she truly like thought about it and said, yes,
- 10:17Speaker 1: I want to know the answer to this question. And
- 10:21Speaker 1: she asked and would look you in the eye and
- 10:24Speaker 1: listen like she wasn't there to be performative. She wasn't
- 10:27Speaker 1: there to just be the bachelorette, you know on camera.
- 10:31Speaker 1: She was there to learn from everybody.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Mind you, she flew in that morning. I'm pretty sure
- 10:37Speaker 3: we were told she flew in that morning. So you're
- 10:38Speaker 3: walking into how many of us were there? Trista eighteen
- 10:41Speaker 3: nineteen women. I thought it was sixteen, but it's something
- 10:43Speaker 3: I've seen or whatever. Yeah, we all got a good
- 10:45Speaker 3: night's sleep. We're not filming NonStop right now, we got
- 10:50Speaker 3: to go in visit with each other, have dinner, have
- 10:53Speaker 3: a coffee, get her hair and makeup done.
- 10:55Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure they told us that she flew in
- 10:57Speaker 2: that morning.
- 10:59Speaker 3: She must have been exhausted and showed up that day
- 11:02Speaker 3: to a bunch of happy women who are just going
- 11:04Speaker 3: to do this one day and go back home and
- 11:05Speaker 3: sleep at her own comfy beds, and she still had
- 11:07Speaker 3: to finish filming a show like she I'm sure she
- 11:10Speaker 3: was exhausted, and probably don't you remember this about filming
- 11:13Speaker 3: just being like mentally tapped.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I took naps on pretty much every date.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I swear I did too.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I mean I literally fell asleep in Ryan's lap in
- 11:23Speaker 1: the limo on the way to SeaWorld, or maybe on
- 11:25Speaker 1: the way back.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I was so tired.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Thank god, my guys were, especially Ryan, were very patient
- 11:31Speaker 1: with me and how exhausted I was. But okay, so
- 11:34Speaker 1: let's get to the mansion. So we get to the mansion,
- 11:36Speaker 1: and I thought it was so cute. I walked into
- 11:38Speaker 1: the mansion with Katie Thurston. She was around me, and
- 11:42Speaker 1: it was the first time she had been at the
- 11:44Speaker 1: mansion because she's.
- 11:45Speaker 2: So film there I almost was shocked to hear that Trista.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I was like, wait, what, You've never been here and
- 11:50Speaker 3: she was like, no, it was COVID. I was like,
- 11:52Speaker 3: oh my god, girl, let's go.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Let's go, I know, and then walking into it with
- 11:58Speaker 1: it had been renovated from the show I had just
- 12:03Speaker 1: I just found out about the Bachelor mansion takeover renovation
- 12:07Speaker 1: on HDTV. When we got there and it looked amazing.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I mean it was very different, Like walking in there,
- 12:14Speaker 1: You're like, whoa this is this is a huge change
- 12:19Speaker 1: and no more purple walls.
- 12:20Speaker 3: There were parts of the house that I had never
- 12:22Speaker 3: seen before, like the rose ser ceremony room, Like I
- 12:25Speaker 3: had no idea that there was that in.
- 12:27Speaker 2: The rose ceremonies.
- 12:29Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no, no I have I'm just saying
- 12:30Speaker 3: I didn't realize. Well, again, my back was always to
- 12:33Speaker 3: that side of the wall. But there's a whole bar
- 12:35Speaker 3: right there and a wine cell that I didn't even
- 12:37Speaker 3: know existed, you know. But again my back was always
- 12:40Speaker 3: to it because I was handing out roses.
- 12:42Speaker 2: But yeah, or maybe they had So this was.
- 12:44Speaker 1: On your season, So the first season was it? Brad
- 12:47Speaker 1: Wellmack's season was the first season where the Bachelor Mansion.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Brad okaved in one of Mike Flice's homes and the
- 12:54Speaker 3: women lived in that home. That was the first season
- 12:56Speaker 3: that we actually lived in that home. Got it.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Oh, it was so.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Funny because I saw somebody, maybe it was Ali, posted
- 13:04Speaker 3: a video last night walking through and she's like, oh
- 13:06Speaker 3: my god, if these walls could talk, I thought, well,
- 13:08Speaker 3: shoot me and my girls were the first ones to
- 13:10Speaker 3: film there, and I can remember walking in and seeing
- 13:12Speaker 3: five or six girls in that shower and I was like,
- 13:14Speaker 3: what in the world have I gotten myself into?
- 13:16Speaker 2: There were six girls in one shower. Yeah, that was
- 13:19Speaker 2: one master.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Shower that was so big, And we filmed my season
- 13:23Speaker 3: of the Bachelorette there and that shower was so gross.
- 13:25Speaker 3: It didn't drain Trista it was and I remember that
- 13:28Speaker 3: was like my bedroom and they'd be like okay, And
- 13:30Speaker 3: the door didn't walk either, So when I would be
- 13:32Speaker 3: naked in the shower, production would accidentally walk in and
- 13:35Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, lipping's sake, could I just have a
- 13:38Speaker 3: little privacy.
- 13:39Speaker 2: I just want a shower.
- 13:40Speaker 3: It wasn't like it wasn't like they did it on purpose.
- 13:42Speaker 3: It just was everybody is busy and setting up for
- 13:45Speaker 3: the next thing, and I would be trying to get
- 13:46Speaker 3: ready and that shower, I swear to God, was the
- 13:49Speaker 3: grossest thing I've ever experienced in my life.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Trista.
- 13:52Speaker 3: There was like five or six inches of sitting water
- 13:55Speaker 3: in that shower.
- 13:55Speaker 2: I was like, this is this is like not healthy.
- 13:58Speaker 3: This is so gross, so gross, gross, so gross.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Okay, so who were you excited to see? Oh my god,
- 14:06Speaker 2: won't you But I've gotten to see you so much.
- 14:08Speaker 3: You know when we said this, you take a group
- 14:11Speaker 3: of women and put us all together, You're not gonna
- 14:13Speaker 3: love everybody. I have love for everybody, but I am
- 14:17Speaker 3: really close to you, Desiree. I just like we are
- 14:20Speaker 3: cut from the same cloth. And I love her. Ashley,
- 14:25Speaker 3: She's just the most fun, sweetest girl. Andy Caitlin. You
- 14:29Speaker 3: can't help but laugh and be around her.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Becca totally see. I'm gonna run through the list because
- 14:34Speaker 2: I love them.
- 14:34Speaker 3: I have love, you know, I have love for everyone.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I genuinely do. Rachel. I was beyond thrilled that Rachel came.
- 14:44Speaker 3: I know that she has distanced herself from the Bachelor
- 14:49Speaker 3: and Bachelorette franchise.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I know she has, but I do. I love everyone.
- 14:54Speaker 3: I love Rachel and when she was going through such
- 14:56Speaker 3: a hard time and her divorce it was after Minds.
- 15:00Speaker 3: I made a point to reach out to her all
- 15:01Speaker 3: the time because I just flipping no and all the
- 15:03Speaker 3: headlines and everything that was going on.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I just love her.
- 15:06Speaker 3: And I was really thrilled that she came to be
- 15:09Speaker 3: a part of the group because I know that's not
- 15:11Speaker 3: something she really wants to do anymore, so I was
- 15:14Speaker 3: thrilled to see her.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Meredith, I'm so glad she came.
- 15:18Speaker 3: It's so nice to not be the star of the
- 15:19Speaker 3: show anymore either, because we can all just show up
- 15:21Speaker 3: and get pretty and visit with our friends. Like literally,
- 15:24Speaker 3: I could have cared less Trista if they put me
- 15:27Speaker 3: on camera with Taylor Frankie Paul. I was so happy
- 15:29Speaker 3: just sitting upstairs in the bedroom. We had all of
- 15:31Speaker 3: the chairs around in a circle and the women who
- 15:33Speaker 3: weren't filming at the time, and Emily.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Emily is so funny. She's gold. She is so funny, funny.
- 15:41Speaker 3: The show did not do her justice when we filmed
- 15:44Speaker 3: that real and she said, I'm a backwoods Virginia hood rat.
- 15:47Speaker 3: I was like, I like love her. I want her
- 15:50Speaker 3: and all of her children to move into my tiny townhouse,
- 15:52Speaker 3: and I just want to spend every day with her
- 15:54Speaker 3: because she is so funny.
- 15:56Speaker 2: But that's the parts that I wish that it was.
- 15:59Speaker 3: You know more, or that people can see all of
- 16:01Speaker 3: us sitting in that bedroom with our chairs surrounded each other,
- 16:04Speaker 3: just catching up on life, just catching up on things
- 16:07Speaker 3: and talking and.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Where we are and laughing.
- 16:10Speaker 1: There was so much, yes, so much laughter, and sitting
- 16:15Speaker 1: in the big bathroom that's connected to that big bedroom
- 16:20Speaker 1: with Carrie Fatman and Gina and I love each and
- 16:26Speaker 1: every one of those girls for all different fun reasons,
- 16:30Speaker 1: but gosh, it was so epic.
- 16:34Speaker 3: How much fun did we have that in the same
- 16:36Speaker 3: room after we were done films.
- 16:37Speaker 2: In this how much fun did we have? And then yes,
- 16:41Speaker 2: so we film all day long.
- 16:42Speaker 1: We did probably ten twenty six tiktoks, Like how many
- 16:47Speaker 1: tiktoks did we do?
- 16:48Speaker 2: And that I was there for every single one.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I was like, yes, I want to do everything. I
- 16:54Speaker 1: know I'm the old lady, but I am so here
- 16:57Speaker 1: for this because it was just like I felt young
- 17:00Speaker 1: and youthful and just it's so fun.
- 17:04Speaker 4: It's just it just makes me so happy.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Okay, let's tell this little story. We were done filming
- 17:24Speaker 3: and it was my birthday the next day when we filmed,
- 17:27Speaker 3: and so I'm like, let's go out. Well, the only
- 17:31Speaker 3: people who wanted to go out was me, myself, Trista Caitlin,
- 17:35Speaker 3: and one of the producers, Katie I know, a couple
- 17:37Speaker 3: of girls Emily joined us for a little bit, but
- 17:39Speaker 3: then everybody went to bed and for us animals right,
- 17:42Speaker 3: and we're still wearing our red sweatsuits. And I am
- 17:45Speaker 3: laughing because I went to my profile grid yesterday and
- 17:48Speaker 3: it absolutely gives Handmaid's Tale, Like all the pictures of
- 17:52Speaker 3: all of us.
- 17:52Speaker 2: In are red and we're smiling and pretty, and we're like,
- 17:54Speaker 2: oh my god.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Anyway, we all go out that night and we're sitting
- 17:57Speaker 3: at a table and this guy comes over and he's like,
- 18:01Speaker 3: why are you guys dressed like that? And I'm like, oh,
- 18:03Speaker 3: we're part of a dodgeball team and he was like wow, really,
- 18:07Speaker 3: and I was like, yeah, we're really really, really really
- 18:09Speaker 3: good and he was like, oh my gosh, like where
- 18:11Speaker 3: And I just like loosely came up with this whole story.
- 18:14Speaker 3: He's not he's it is That's the fun thing about
- 18:17Speaker 3: being sober is that you don't have to you don't
- 18:20Speaker 3: have to worry about all these people who are so wasted.
- 18:23Speaker 3: He wasn't looking at my shirt where it literally had
- 18:26Speaker 3: my name in my season, or the fact that it
- 18:27Speaker 3: said the Bachelorette across the back.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Totally.
- 18:30Speaker 3: And we had this whole story going on with this
- 18:33Speaker 3: noodle in the bar because he was so drunk he
- 18:36Speaker 3: could not I love it.
- 18:38Speaker 2: You just called him a noodle. Oh my god, he's
- 18:40Speaker 2: a noodle.
- 18:41Speaker 3: We laughed so hard, Trista, did we not laugh so
- 18:46Speaker 3: hard at this guy?
- 18:47Speaker 2: The whole scenario going on.
- 18:48Speaker 3: How I was the coach, Trista was the assistant coach
- 18:52Speaker 3: that we play out in Westlake Village and it's every Tuesday.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Night or whatever night of the week it was. And
- 18:56Speaker 2: this guy was like wow. And then finally, like fifteen
- 18:59Speaker 2: minutes later, he was like, are you bullshit me? And
- 19:01Speaker 2: I was like, absolutely not. Why would I be bullshitting you? Yeah, totally.
- 19:07Speaker 3: So I will tell you one of my favorite things
- 19:10Speaker 3: about the episode last night, like top top favorite thing. Oh,
- 19:15Speaker 3: I was watching baby Trista and baby Ryan canoodle in
- 19:19Speaker 3: the hot tub, just being sweet little lovers as you are,
- 19:26Speaker 3: just just all the basking in the water in the moonlight,
- 19:30Speaker 3: whispering how much you love each other.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Oh no, we didn't do that, but what we did
- 19:35Speaker 1: do I love that it caught like the little banter
- 19:39Speaker 1: that we have. We have a very sarcastic, like funny relationship.
- 19:43Speaker 1: We're constantly like giving each other shit for whatever. And
- 19:49Speaker 1: and you know, I asked him, Oh, do you want
- 19:50Speaker 1: to get in the hot tub?
- 19:51Speaker 2: And he's like sure.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I was like, go right ahead, yeah, Trista, I twist
- 19:58Speaker 1: my own and I was like, oh, yeah, sure, I'll
- 20:03Speaker 1: do that or whatever.
- 20:04Speaker 3: I love watching you naked and I'm sorry, not naked
- 20:09Speaker 3: but shirtless.
- 20:10Speaker 2: And a hoto. No. I mean it was him like
- 20:13Speaker 2: he was like sure whatever.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Anyway, So last night the special ends, Blakesley was out
- 20:20Speaker 1: to dinner with her boyfriend and his family. She gets
- 20:24Speaker 1: home and I'm like, so, do you want to watch
- 20:26Speaker 1: the little parts? Because you were on TV last night
- 20:29Speaker 1: when you were a baby, but you were on TV
- 20:30Speaker 1: last night, and she's like, I know, one of my
- 20:33Speaker 1: friends texted me and just said, oh I saw you
- 20:35Speaker 1: at TV's so cute. Anyway, So she watches it and
- 20:40Speaker 1: you know, the parts where we're talking about the family
- 20:44Speaker 1: and whatever and how I'm grateful and of course that's
- 20:46Speaker 1: all really sweet and everything, and oh and she had
- 20:50Speaker 1: never seen when we first met, when he got out
- 20:54Speaker 1: of the limo and walked to me and said, you
- 20:57Speaker 1: look ravishing, And.
- 20:58Speaker 3: She goes, how freaking cool I know that we have
- 21:05Speaker 3: that Ryan is wordy anyway, which.
- 21:07Speaker 1: I said, He has said that he has never spoken
- 21:11Speaker 1: that word. He had never spoken that word before. He's like,
- 21:14Speaker 1: I have no idea where that word came from. But
- 21:17Speaker 1: she was like, it was so funny.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Because she was like, ravishing, What did he say?
- 21:20Speaker 3: I love that because it genuinely describes what he felt
- 21:24Speaker 3: in that moment. And what it was going to say
- 21:26Speaker 3: is how beautiful is it that you guys have that
- 21:29Speaker 3: you know forever, you have the moment that the two
- 21:32Speaker 3: of you laid eyes on each other. And I've said
- 21:34Speaker 3: this a thousand times. I believe some people it is
- 21:38Speaker 3: just their story. You guys were meant to meet on
- 21:41Speaker 3: a television show and be married and have these children
- 21:44Speaker 3: and have this life, like it just was meant for
- 21:46Speaker 3: the two of you. But how freaking cool is it that,
- 21:50Speaker 3: like your kids can watch that that people can still
- 21:53Speaker 3: watch it to this day. There are so many comments
- 21:54Speaker 3: on my posts of being like, oh my god, Trista. Also,
- 21:57Speaker 3: she doesn't age, do you know me? People said she
- 21:59Speaker 3: doesn't she doesn't age a bit. Okay, she does not.
- 22:03Speaker 3: She is gorgeous, but that's not true. They don't see
- 22:05Speaker 3: me when I smile and I've got those those lines
- 22:08Speaker 3: are important.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Those are lived in.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I know, and I and I like to laugh and smile,
- 22:14Speaker 1: be sure.
- 22:15Speaker 2: And then and then we get to the hot tub scene.
- 22:19Speaker 1: And Blake slep and we were literally sitting right next
- 22:22Speaker 1: like touching arms. Okay, so we were connected, and she
- 22:26Speaker 1: was like.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Eh, like she made this. Okay, they're touching. Eventually they
- 22:32Speaker 2: have to have sex because I was born like.
- 22:36Speaker 1: She was like ew, I.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Like she did not want to watch that.
- 22:40Speaker 1: She was not about watching her parents be like, oh,
- 22:44Speaker 1: we're hot and heavy, and I was like, I think
- 22:46Speaker 1: I need to go jump in that really cold water.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Like immediately he said, oh, that was.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Actually really funny. Who wants to like talk about their
- 22:56Speaker 1: parents being I know, but it's really beautiful.
- 22:59Speaker 3: It's really beautiful full circle, you know what I mean.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Look at the life you've built, the life that you
- 23:03Speaker 3: have your children, Holy cal Blakesley has a boyfriend. I
- 23:06Speaker 3: can't even but like just everything that you have from
- 23:09Speaker 3: a television show, none of us really knew that's what
- 23:11Speaker 3: was going to happen. And you were the first bachelorette.
- 23:14Speaker 3: No one knew how the show was going to take off,
- 23:16Speaker 3: and it's been on for how many seasons now? You know, right,
- 23:19Speaker 3: us early women on the show, I don't think we
- 23:24Speaker 3: grasped the popularity of what the show was and really
- 23:28Speaker 3: truly trust to how it would change the trajectory of
- 23:31Speaker 3: our lives. And you and Ryan are proof of that.
- 23:33Speaker 3: You know, I'm not with the person that I chose,
- 23:35Speaker 3: but you and Ryan are. And look at the life
- 23:37Speaker 3: that you lived, look at the memories that you have made,
- 23:40Speaker 3: and the things that you have done that without the show,
- 23:42Speaker 3: that wouldn't have happened.
- 23:44Speaker 2: And I just think that that's just.
- 23:45Speaker 3: A beautiful part of your story and a beautiful part
- 23:48Speaker 3: of life. And now there's you know, this whole world
- 23:51Speaker 3: on social media that people who love the show, genuinely
- 23:54Speaker 3: love the show, can follow you and Ryan and keep
- 23:57Speaker 3: up with you and see how life is going and see.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Where you are. All of us really for that matter.
- 24:04Speaker 2: It's just it's really beautiful.
- 24:05Speaker 3: It is. And I'm circling back to your share last night,
- 24:08Speaker 3: like what a grateful, full heart that I have from
- 24:10Speaker 3: my experience on the show and my friendships and the
- 24:13Speaker 3: people that I am with and the opportunities that I
- 24:16Speaker 3: still get to do to this day, like filming that
- 24:18Speaker 3: special and recording podcasts with you and seeing you so
- 24:21Speaker 3: much in the last year, whereas like my life was
- 24:24Speaker 3: chaos and my God knew that I needed to be
- 24:26Speaker 3: surrounded by people that I loved in moments where I
- 24:29Speaker 3: couldn't carry myself, just like the beauty of life. And
- 24:32Speaker 3: I'm like you, my heart is overflowing with some gratitude
- 24:35Speaker 3: and some gratefulness.
- 24:37Speaker 2: But this isn't it.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Now we get to see each other in a week
- 24:39Speaker 3: and we get to be cool again and get all
- 24:41Speaker 3: dressed up and walk a red carpet and go to
- 24:44Speaker 3: a premiere party. So I feel like we should regroup
- 24:47Speaker 3: here again next Monday for another episode so that we
- 24:51Speaker 3: can talk about the premiere here in Los Angeles, Like
- 24:55Speaker 3: how fun that we get to do that? Are what
- 24:58Speaker 3: are we wearing? Are we getting our make up done?
- 25:01Speaker 3: I'm in this like era Tristo where I need to
- 25:04Speaker 3: like look hot, like I want to be like, Okay,
- 25:06Speaker 3: I was cute, then I was married, and now I
- 25:09Speaker 3: want to be hot.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Oh well you are, so there's no worries there. I
- 25:25Speaker 1: love the history of this show. I love how it
- 25:30Speaker 1: has It is such a huge part of my life,
- 25:33Speaker 1: even if it doesn't factor into my everyday life. I
- 25:38Speaker 1: love that we have this sisterhood. And even though like
- 25:42Speaker 1: thank you for the very sweet words about you know,
- 25:44Speaker 1: Ryan and I and our family and and all of that,
- 25:49Speaker 1: and everyone's really family even if they didn't end up
- 25:53Speaker 1: with the person from their show. But what we did
- 25:55Speaker 1: end up with is a sisterhood, and I love that
- 26:00Speaker 1: we get to we got to be part of this reunion.
- 26:04Speaker 1: It was so fun and so happy and joyful and
- 26:11Speaker 1: no drama, like, no drama drama, Yeah, just really great
- 26:15Speaker 1: girls being girls and sharing love for the next girl.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Who yes, who who? I'm just so excited for.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:27Speaker 3: The laughter, I'm so glad that you said that. We
- 26:28Speaker 3: laughed so much. We laughed so much that day. We
- 26:32Speaker 3: laughed so much. And then there was a dinner afterwards
- 26:34Speaker 3: and going out and the next day seeing everybody as
- 26:36Speaker 3: they were leaving.
- 26:36Speaker 2: It was I'm with you, Trista. I echo every bit
- 26:39Speaker 2: of that. It was a really great day.
- 26:40Speaker 3: So oh my god, we should do this again next
- 26:44Speaker 3: week because we're going to have to discuss not just
- 26:48Speaker 3: what you and I wore, but what tailor war, who
- 26:52Speaker 3: else was at the premiere, what happened, who fell off
- 26:56Speaker 3: their barstool, like all of the things.
- 27:00Speaker 2: You know what.
- 27:00Speaker 3: I so, there were a lot of things on social
- 27:03Speaker 3: media about people who were not there, and I believe
- 27:06Speaker 3: as viewers are people who see it, maybe they want
- 27:08Speaker 3: to create drama like as to why they weren't there.
- 27:10Speaker 3: But I know Jen wasn't there. Jen Scheft was not there,
- 27:14Speaker 3: and also Gabby Wendy, but that's because she was busy
- 27:17Speaker 3: filming a new show, which Trista I am so excited about.
- 27:21Speaker 3: She's hosting this new show called Love Overboard, and we
- 27:27Speaker 3: are going to be doing a new podcast talking about it.
- 27:29Speaker 2: You should come on. That's got to be okay.
- 27:30Speaker 3: So you've got to get through it, Mormon wives, You've
- 27:33Speaker 3: got to get through that. Then you also have a
- 27:35Speaker 3: little homework get through Love Overboard. I'm not sure what
- 27:38Speaker 3: you've got going on in the next couple of weeks,
- 27:40Speaker 3: but they're both on Hulu. You could just like spend
- 27:43Speaker 3: a few days binging it out, tell Ryan to cook dinner,
- 27:46Speaker 3: love it and oh he always does, okay, okay, and
- 27:49Speaker 3: then call it a day.
- 27:50Speaker 2: So we have so much like, we have so much
- 27:53Speaker 2: to do over the coming week. I love it. So
- 27:55Speaker 2: you're recapping Love Overboard.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's hosted by Gabby Wendy, So I'm very excited. Okay,
- 28:01Speaker 3: I haven't gotten to meet her yet, have you?
- 28:04Speaker 1: No, huh, she didn't come. Well, actually she wasn't a
- 28:08Speaker 1: bachelorette yet on the last reunion. But no, I have
- 28:11Speaker 1: not met her yet in all of the circles. I
- 28:15Speaker 1: feel like she is more of a New York person.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Actually, she lived in Denver. What am I talking about?
- 28:20Speaker 2: Do you know when I met her?
- 28:22Speaker 1: And I assume that I met her. Blakesley was a
- 28:26Speaker 1: junior Denver Bronco cheerleader when Gabby was a Denver Bronco cheerleader,
- 28:31Speaker 1: and she she helped with the little minis when she
- 28:35Speaker 1: was a Broncos cheerleader. So I know we were in
- 28:39Speaker 1: the same room one hundred percent.
- 28:41Speaker 2: That's so fun.
- 28:42Speaker 1: I just don't know if we officially met each other
- 28:44Speaker 1: because Blakesley wasn't with her exactly like they have you know,
- 28:48Speaker 1: people that they're.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Under anyway, what a small world. Yeah, so fun.
- 28:52Speaker 3: Well, we'll be recapping it on Almost Famous. Heather, our
- 28:56Speaker 3: producer is going to be doing it with me. She's
- 28:58Speaker 3: multi talented. Oh yes, she very You'll have to come
- 29:02Speaker 3: on and tell us what you think. I'm also like
- 29:04Speaker 3: really excited for a little bit more of a dirty show,
- 29:06Speaker 3: you know what I mean, in the sense that like
- 29:09Speaker 3: The Bachelorette is just so I mean, there's drama within
- 29:13Speaker 3: the contestants a little bit, but like it's it's really
- 29:16Speaker 3: like g rated when it comes actual Louie.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I don't know that the season is going to be
- 29:21Speaker 1: And honestly we didn't ever talk about this, but with Taylor,
- 29:26Speaker 1: with the preview that they showed last night after the
- 29:28Speaker 1: before the first rows, I'm intrigued. Like if I hadn't
- 29:34Speaker 1: ever met her and just would be watching the show,
- 29:37Speaker 1: I'd be like, oh, I'm all in, get me in
- 29:39Speaker 1: front of my television on Sunday nights to watch this
- 29:42Speaker 1: show because it seems like she's like rules are out
- 29:47Speaker 1: the window if you if you mess with me, I'm
- 29:51Speaker 1: taking your Rose back, like I cannot wait to see
- 29:54Speaker 1: that episode of when it seems like she takes all
- 29:58Speaker 1: the roses that she gave. I'm like, yes, and I
- 30:02Speaker 1: am here for that, here for us, I'm here for it.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Yes.
- 30:05Speaker 3: It makes me wish I tried very hard not to
- 30:07Speaker 3: live in the in the past of things, but it does, like,
- 30:10Speaker 3: you know, because because I was on you were on
- 30:12Speaker 3: so long ago, it does make me think, Man, I
- 30:15Speaker 3: wish that I had a little more experience or a
- 30:17Speaker 3: little bit more balls, to be true to myself.
- 30:21Speaker 1: I don't think you could have. I really don't think
- 30:24Speaker 1: you could have. In my season, I could a teeny
- 30:27Speaker 1: bit because the producers and I were both figuring it
- 30:32Speaker 1: out right, and so like one guy came out of
- 30:35Speaker 1: the limo and and Lisa Levinson was like, that's the
- 30:40Speaker 1: guy I picked for Trista till the end. And I said,
- 30:42Speaker 1: at the end of the rose ceremony, he's going home,
- 30:45Speaker 1: and she's like, no, why, And I was like, he's
- 30:47Speaker 1: going home. I'm not keeping him because he looked right
- 30:49Speaker 1: at the camera when he got out of a limo. Anyway,
- 30:52Speaker 1: she didn't fight me on it, and in your season
- 30:56Speaker 1: or any season after that, I feel like she would
- 30:58Speaker 1: have been like, it's not your decision. He's staying, you
- 31:01Speaker 1: don't get to decide this one guy that did, That's
- 31:05Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So I feel like, even if you
- 31:07Speaker 1: wanted to, I don't think you could have. And so
- 31:11Speaker 1: I love that it has evolved into this where they
- 31:15Speaker 1: are allowing the leads a little more personal decision making leeway,
- 31:22Speaker 1: you know, and they can break the rules every now
- 31:25Speaker 1: and then, which I like, and I'm here for that
- 31:28Speaker 1: for Taylor's season. So anyway, I feel like it's gonna
- 31:31Speaker 1: be a it's not a it's not a clean it's
- 31:34Speaker 1: not as clean of a show and as innocent as
- 31:37Speaker 1: obviously back in the day. But even you know, last year,
- 31:40Speaker 1: I just feel like this season is going to be different,
- 31:43Speaker 1: and I'm so I'm so excited for it and so
- 31:47Speaker 1: excited that we could have been part of the special
- 31:50Speaker 1: and the reunion. Everyone pay attention, listen up for Almost
- 31:56Speaker 1: Famous the love Overboard recapping with Deanna, and also hopefully
- 32:02Speaker 1: we can get more people on here for almost Famous
- 32:04Speaker 1: ogs and you know, it's so funny I have to
- 32:08Speaker 1: say an og thing so Ali, they posted all the
- 32:11Speaker 1: pictures of each of the bachelorettes from the reunion and
- 32:15Speaker 1: Ali was in the like OG section. It was me
- 32:20Speaker 1: and you and her and Meredith I think, and she
