- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Seems like we're only talking about what's changing and it's happening so quickly, people looking at artificial intelligence have a lot to really absorb.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: So we're going to talk about something that I heard today, kind of a new phrase, a play on words, if you will.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: If you're a local business, beyond a local business, corporate type, whatever it may be, and you have many locations or a single location, doesn't matter.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: So search engine optimization, SEO, that was the buzzword back in the day, the advent of the internet.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: People started getting that term associated with Google when Google really became the top-end search engine.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Now people are utilizing it as being search everywhere optimization instead of search engine optimization.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Cool.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: I forgot the cat that came up with this, but this was rather recent.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: But it's something that I guess kind of encapulate encapsulates encapsulates the entire thing.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: So what you need to know about this, whenever you're posting content, now we have moved beyond Google being the top performer in the field for your particular business.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: You want to be positioned everywhere.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: So it's not just Google now we have to pay attention to.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: And they actually had some really powerful algorithms in place that basically protected you and I from finding crap, the bad content, stuff that had nothing to do with what we were searching for.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: So it was very, very good at that.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: It gave us what we wanted to see.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: It gave us the proof in the pudding, and it gave us multiple answers that we could look at and decipher and figure out which one of these were most applicable, if not all.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: So that helped us.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: For your business, you would then have put together content reflecting that.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Now it's very different.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: That's not the only places people are searching.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: In fact, large language models are a place, your Chat GPTs owned by OpenAI, your Microsoft co-pilot with, of course, uh Microsoft, and also your Grox out there with the uh uh the Tesla Corporation or the Musk side of it.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: And then you also have Anthropics Claude.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: That's another fantastic model.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: Perplexity is kind of a package uh that's putting a lot of these things together.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: But these are different places where people are now utilizing these items to search for your business.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: So there's more things to start to bring in whenever I'm talking to a CMO at a company or maybe somebody that doesn't have a fancy title like that, but does the same basic job, maybe without all the people power below them.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: One of the things that we talk about is where their company is currently positioned, and then finding out where their competition has to be, happens to be in these other spaces.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Now it's easy for you to tell me where you are, but then we have to climb down the rabbit hole of finding out where your competition is and then seeing how they're placed.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: It could be that they're not even thinking about TikTok, they're not even thinking about Instagram, and you can own those particular venues, and as time goes on, they're uh the results that they churn out when people are searching for things are going to be much more powerful.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: Sometimes when you ask people if they recommend a product, a lot of times they will talk about not that they own it or they've ever tried it, but they'll talk about what happens to be in their TikTok feed with reference to that same product, and maybe they'll remember, maybe they won't, but they'll be able to reference it and send it to you.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: That's that proper placement depending on what kind of business you have.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: So you want to be present on there.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Also, the days of ignoring the content, and it used to be that that only worked on Google.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: A lot of these long-form blog posts are going to be very valuable as well.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: If you haven't done that, or you kind of abandon it and maybe you went all in on some kind of a pay-per-click strategy, abandoning organic search traffic, that's a major mistake.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: And of course, maybe paying for ads is the right thing to do, but that should be part of your strategy when it comes to trying to get your business or your boss's business out there in front of more eyeballs.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: So you have this search everywhere optimization.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Tied in with that, there's two other different factors that I talk about very frequently AEO answer engine optimization, which is going to ascribe to large a lot of the large language models, but also those people that are searching on those other social media systems out there, that's going to fall in line with that.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: And then AIEO, of course, is artificial intelligence engine optimization, which again is going to be those particular results that's going to be best searched or best found by them.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: And you do that by organizing organizing, organizing a particular post.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: So in some cases, when you are putting together content, you know, making it low-hanging fruit, but also having the depth in the blog post is important.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: And then tying that for to particular social media channels where you're sharing the same type of content is also important.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: So you get that validity across different spectrums.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: Now, not everybody is going to Google anymore and searching for your particular type of business or the things you provide.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: They're going to the different social media outlets and they're searching on those as well.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: Now, those searches aren't really fantastic yet, but I'm sure Meta and Facebook search when people are searching, it's it's really not great.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: But I'm sure they will jump on the bandwagon and probably start to refine that and make it stronger, especially because the large language models are starting to churn out the results that usually were only typical on Google.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: And of course, the results format they give you is a little bit different.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: They usually don't give you 50 choices, not like salad dressing at the supermarket.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: They're going to give you one or two, maybe just one.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: And then right now, that might be monetized in some way behind the curtain.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: We don't really know.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: But eventually, that placement's probably not going to be so much truth as it is being monetized for the people that are willing to pay to be in the result when people are doing some kind of a qualification search within the large language models.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: But the days of thinking about Google alone, not enough.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: You got to expand it.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: And now you're thinking about the other placement within the social media spheres and then how you're writing that content.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: That's super important.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: So you want to address the SEO strategies of old and still current, but also amplify that and put that into search everywhere optimization, which is like the overall umbrella of everything that is searched to be relevant in all spaces, not just on Google anymore.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: So you need to do that critical crawl and look for where you happen to be placed.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: And then if you're not there, also where maybe other businesses are that you might be in direct competition with, because that for you as a business could be low hanging fruit, and you could start scoring for that and increase your brand awareness.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: That's it.
