- 0:17Speaker 2: coke zero.
- 0:18Speaker 3: It's just disgusting coke zero. How could you come and
- 0:22Speaker 3: now handle on the news?
- 0:25Speaker 4: Ladies and gentlemen, Here's Bill Handle.
- 0:28Speaker 3: KFI AM six forty. Good morning. It's Tuesday morning, June two.
- 0:35Speaker 3: It is a primary.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Election day and I'll talk more about that at seven
- 0:40Speaker 2: o'clock tomorrow. Of course, we'll talk about who won, we didn't,
- 0:44Speaker 2: and which way this election is going to go. And
- 0:46Speaker 2: it's a precursor, a harbinger, a heartbringer, a hairbringer. You
- 0:52Speaker 2: bring your rabbits of what's going to come in the
- 0:56Speaker 2: general election. A quick hello, Amy, Good morning.
- 1:01Speaker 5: Amy, Good morning. I just talked to your buddy Roger
- 1:03Speaker 5: Love a little bit ago.
- 1:05Speaker 4: That was all great interviewing.
- 1:06Speaker 5: Isn't that fun?
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yeah, he's going to come in on the nineteenth. He's
- 1:10Speaker 2: going to come into the studio. Roger Love is a
- 1:13Speaker 2: voice teacher. He helped me with my voice when it
- 1:16Speaker 2: went out.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I wouldn't don't I know, you wouldn't actually help some people?
- 1:21Speaker 2: Yeah, the Ntraig he the e n t doctor said,
- 1:26Speaker 2: he goes, you gotta any surgery? And I called Roger
- 1:29Speaker 2: and he goes no chance and literally within five section
- 1:32Speaker 2: sessions of Roger. And by the way, he has some credentials.
- 1:36Speaker 2: For example, he worked with Bradley Cooper have him sing.
- 1:41Speaker 2: He's worked with eminem He has worked with Paul Simon.
- 1:47Speaker 2: He just started up with Paul Simon. Remember Paul Simon
- 1:50Speaker 2: lost his voice completely. Paul Simon's going on a world tour.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Roger Love is scary, brilliant. Anyway, He's a he's a
- 1:59Speaker 2: good friend. I've known for many, many years. And he's
- 2:01Speaker 2: coming in on the nineteenth and he just did a documentary,
- 2:05Speaker 2: so I'm going to be picturing that like crazy.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Good guy really.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Gives over you when he goes down his client list.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Oh yeah, oh god, does he guy?
- 2:13Speaker 4: It sounds like a human garbage disposal.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Yeah, d yeah, he is. He helps people so much. On
- 2:20Speaker 3: the A list. I'm on the Z list.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Okay, there's Neil Morning Neil Good one, and there's uh
- 2:28Speaker 2: the Infants, Will Cole Schreiber, Will what does that T
- 2:30Speaker 2: shirt say?
- 2:30Speaker 3: I can't see it? Nebraska, Nebraska?
- 2:33Speaker 4: Why because I just visited there and.
- 2:37Speaker 3: On purpose somebody paid me to go there.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll bet, I'll bet not enough, Okay, Cono, good morning,
- 2:45Speaker 2: Good morning, Bubba.
- 2:46Speaker 3: And Bubba was my cell mate.
- 2:50Speaker 2: By the way, which is I've never had constipation since.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Okay, it's National Bubba Day, not the Prison Story Day.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:01Speaker 2: And Michelle in for the lovely Anne, who will be
- 3:06Speaker 2: here in a couple of weeks.
- 3:07Speaker 3: She's scheduled to come back. I think next.
- 3:09Speaker 5: Week she'll be back.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Yeah, good morning and goodbye.
- 3:12Speaker 5: I'm leaving. Oscar's going to take cover.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Oh, Oscars come again, and I will say, Oscar, who's
- 3:17Speaker 2: the assistant PD and operations guy?
- 3:20Speaker 3: What's what's Oscar's official title?
- 3:22Speaker 5: This morning?
- 3:23Speaker 3: Okay, APD? APD is good.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:26Speaker 1: But you know what's funny is you have like the
- 3:28Speaker 1: two highest managerial people having to fill in.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well, well New World, that's that's how much
- 3:37Speaker 2: you should appreciate.
- 3:38Speaker 3: And Bill, Yes, yeah, well I do.
- 3:40Speaker 4: I do.
- 3:41Speaker 2: There's a story that I'm following. It's just in the
- 3:44Speaker 2: La Times that it's just an aside. And all of
- 3:48Speaker 2: the entertainers who have dropped out of the two hundred
- 3:51Speaker 2: and fiftieth anniversary program that Trump has put together as
- 3:55Speaker 2: you know, and there as soon as they realize this
- 3:58Speaker 2: was more political.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Than now, they're just bailing like crazy.
- 4:02Speaker 2: And what the people are also upset two hundred and
- 4:06Speaker 2: fifty years the UFC White House fight, you know, you
- 4:11Speaker 2: the MMA fight in the cage match. Also, there are
- 4:16Speaker 2: going to be race cars. There's going to be a
- 4:18Speaker 2: race and the White House has said these are sports
- 4:24Speaker 2: that the American people love and it is one of
- 4:30Speaker 2: those things that we can't.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Ignore one of the biggest spectator sports in the world.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I'm not arguing that.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I'm just saying, you know, it's it's sort of taking
- 4:40Speaker 2: a spin away from what you would think at two
- 4:42Speaker 2: hundred and fifty anniversary is going to be where President
- 4:45Speaker 2: Trump said he is going to make it a rally
- 4:48Speaker 2: of which he is going to be.
- 4:49Speaker 4: The speaker because everybody, because.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Everybody is bailing out.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Here's I have an idea, you know for the Second Amendment, folks,
- 4:56Speaker 2: is they put up a fence.
- 4:59Speaker 3: On the South Lawn and release some deer.
- 5:04Speaker 4: And Kono's signing up right now.
- 5:09Speaker 2: You know, we could really do There's a lot can
- 5:12Speaker 2: be done all rights before you do.
- 5:13Speaker 6: That, though, I was going to tell you about that
- 5:15Speaker 6: UFC fight at the White House. Do you remember Morgan
- 5:18Speaker 6: who used to work for us and she got press
- 5:22Speaker 6: credentialed for that. She's going to the White House for
- 5:25Speaker 6: that fight.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Ah, then maybe you know what we can do is
- 5:28Speaker 2: I have her on, have her on afterwards, Uh talk about,
- 5:32Speaker 2: oh absolutely what it was like.
- 5:34Speaker 1: And I also heard that they're painting, you know, because
- 5:37Speaker 1: the White House, they're painting all the cars white and
- 5:40Speaker 1: it's going to be the white race.
- 5:42Speaker 3: M no, no, I jump, I kid, I kid. They
- 5:46Speaker 3: could although for the race.
- 5:50Speaker 2: You know how all the racers wear those outfits that
- 5:54Speaker 2: have the different sponsors names on them. It's all going
- 5:57Speaker 2: to be pictures of Trump, all of them. It's going
- 5:59Speaker 2: to be absolutely fantastic. There's so many visuals here that
- 6:02Speaker 2: you can have with this. All right, guys, let's do
- 6:05Speaker 2: it. It is time for handle on the news on this
- 6:09Speaker 2: Tuesday December or excuse me, June two.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Why December? I don't know.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Okay, here we go, lead story, everybody, jes Okay. Today
- 6:19Speaker 2: is election day for it's the primary day and in
- 6:24Speaker 2: California it gets kind of interesting because California. I'll talk
- 6:28Speaker 2: more about this, but the top two vote getters go
- 6:31Speaker 2: and it can be then go to the general assuming
- 6:33Speaker 2: no one gets the fifty percent plus one, and so
- 6:37Speaker 2: the top two are going to go in the general election.
- 6:39Speaker 2: They both can be Republicans, they both can be Democrats
- 6:42Speaker 2: or one or the other, which is probably gonna happen hopefully.
- 6:46Speaker 2: And a lot of races are nonpartisan. The DA's race,
- 6:50Speaker 2: the mayor's race is nonpartisan. You can't you don't put
- 6:53Speaker 2: down a party that you belong to, although everybody knows
- 6:57Speaker 2: there's Democrat and there's Republicans.
- 6:59Speaker 3: So to talk much more about that. At seven o'clock.
- 7:05Speaker 5: Free ride for election Day, Metro is offering free rides
- 7:11Speaker 5: on buses, rail service, bicycles, Metro micro all free of
- 7:16Speaker 5: charge to help get voters to polling places to cast
- 7:19Speaker 5: their ballots.
- 7:21Speaker 2: All right, so they're making it as easy as possible
- 7:24Speaker 2: for people to cast their ballots, which is kind of neat.
- 7:27Speaker 2: And here again is the fight between those folks that
- 7:31Speaker 2: are effectively saying that we're going to make it so
- 7:35Speaker 2: easy and I'll actually almost push people to vote, versus
- 7:39Speaker 2: Republicans who are arguing mail in ballots should either be
- 7:44Speaker 2: disallowed or at least limited to a great extent. For
- 7:48Speaker 2: political purposes, because Republicans tend to vote on the day
- 7:52Speaker 2: of the election far more than Democrats do. All right,
- 7:56Speaker 2: you want to take a break, Yeah, why don't we
- 7:58Speaker 2: take the sign for the La Metro says for those
- 8:02Speaker 2: dying to vote.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Huh, that's very strong, that's good.
- 8:08Speaker 4: On again, off again, on again.
- 8:11Speaker 1: So you've got escalated violence going on in the Middle East,
- 8:16Speaker 1: and what does this threaten everything? The people? It stalled
- 8:20Speaker 1: peace talks between Iran and the United States. Negotiations are
- 8:25Speaker 1: completely struggling, shaky ceasefire boom.
- 8:30Speaker 4: That's where we're at.
- 8:32Speaker 1: So Iran suspended talks with US the US on Monday
- 8:37Speaker 1: after Israel intensified attacks in Lebanon and.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Two different stories here.
- 8:45Speaker 2: The president says, we're about to sign a deal. They're
- 8:48Speaker 2: really negotiating. The Iran wants a deal desperately, and Ran
- 8:55Speaker 2: is saying, what are you talking about. We're suspending all
- 8:58Speaker 2: the talks and so getting weird stories from both sides,
- 9:03Speaker 2: and who do you believe?
- 9:04Speaker 3: None of them. I'm sure there's a little bit of
- 9:06Speaker 3: truth and a whole lot.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Of lying from both sides, and the attacks on Lebanon continue.
- 9:12Speaker 2: He calls Netanyahu, this is the President and is quoted
- 9:16Speaker 2: as saying, are you effing crazy?
- 9:19Speaker 4: Right? Yeah, this obviously has some some issues with it.
- 9:24Speaker 1: But I got to tell you, if I was Iran,
- 9:28Speaker 1: I'd be playing it this way too, just like, but
- 9:31Speaker 1: you make Trump look like an idiot in a country
- 9:34Speaker 1: where people think he already is and all they have
- 9:37Speaker 1: to do is go we never said that, and everybody
- 9:39Speaker 1: believes them.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it's just it's too weird, and Trump supporters
- 9:44Speaker 2: are still out there. I was listening to a congress
- 9:46Speaker 2: person being interviewed and he said, when this is over,
- 9:49Speaker 2: oil prices will drop to before the war's prices. It'll
- 9:55Speaker 2: be some of the cheapest oil or gasoline will ever had.
- 9:58Speaker 2: And then he was asked, yeah, when is the war
- 10:01Speaker 2: going to be over? When the war is over, I
- 10:04Speaker 2: can't tell you exactly when. Wait a minute, the war
- 10:07Speaker 2: was over day one. Remember, we obliterated their navy. We
- 10:11Speaker 2: obliterated their ability to enrich uranium. Although the negotiations now
- 10:16Speaker 2: are to enrich uranium or their their ability to rich
- 10:20Speaker 2: uranium in uranium program that they don't have. Okay, this
- 10:26Speaker 2: is completely crazy, but moving on. Oh that was the story.
- 10:32Speaker 5: Yeah, it was, Neil, you're up again.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Oh you you're just gonna want one, the one that
- 10:37Speaker 2: said that about crazy. Yeah, yeah, I can. I gotta
- 10:41Speaker 2: see Trump doing that. I can see him literally blowing up.
- 10:47Speaker 4: He goes people hate Israel? Right now? What are you doing?
- 10:50Speaker 3: And that's hanging out? Who doesn't care? Well, he just
- 10:53Speaker 3: doesn't care, not much. Why is he continuing on amy?
- 10:57Speaker 2: Why does he at this point just ignoring what Trump
- 11:00Speaker 2: has asked him to do.
- 11:03Speaker 4: It's principle.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I don't say it's they attacked Israel, right, I understand,
- 11:09Speaker 2: no question about it, no question about it. It's the issue
- 11:12Speaker 2: of how far you can go. For example, is there
- 11:16Speaker 2: any threat whatsoever from Hamas against Israel anymore? Does anybody
- 11:20Speaker 2: think Hamas is the threat? Israel is now about controlling
- 11:23Speaker 2: about two thirds of Gayza eyect me.
- 11:26Speaker 4: Is a hydra, you know that.
- 11:28Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Terrorism is a hydra. They're going to cut one head
- 11:32Speaker 4: another head.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Comes, Well, we'll see. And the problem is one hundred
- 11:35Speaker 2: thousand Palestinians have died. And that's a question. Is that
- 11:38Speaker 2: a bridge too far? A bridge has already been blown up.
- 11:42Speaker 2: I've told you this before. You had about three thousand
- 11:46Speaker 2: Americans die when Pearl Harbor was bombed and we killed
- 11:52Speaker 2: well over two hundred and fifty thousand people by dropping bombs.
- 11:58Speaker 2: That was a four year war, four year war in
- 12:02Speaker 2: which the Japan went all the way and killed as
- 12:07Speaker 2: many Americans as possible and tens of thousands and the
- 12:12Speaker 2: Pacific theater maybe even the hundreds of thousands of Americans.
- 12:16Speaker 1: That if Hamas had the power and the ability, they
- 12:20Speaker 1: would have killed more Jews that day, that's correct.
- 12:23Speaker 2: But they don't anymore. And you still continue on and
- 12:26Speaker 2: wipe out Gaza. That's the question. Okay, let's move on.
- 12:29Speaker 2: You and I can do this forever, all.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Right, Hey, don't worry about war. We got carstagens to
- 12:35Speaker 1: talk about. So this new study is looking at the
- 12:39Speaker 1: Eton fire zones the Palisade fire zones again back in
- 12:44Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. They say that some of these carcinogens
- 12:48Speaker 1: known as chromium six, that's a toxic metal and carstogen.
- 12:54Speaker 1: It affects per people's lungs. It's associated with asthma, bronchitis,
- 12:59Speaker 1: even lung can sir. They're showing that this from these
- 13:03Speaker 1: two fires spread to more than three million people as
- 13:08Speaker 1: it floated through the air even after the fire was
- 13:12Speaker 1: put out up to nine miles or so away.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Yeah, you're going to find you're going to analogize this
- 13:20Speaker 2: what happened nine to eleven, How many people were actually affected.
- 13:23Speaker 2: That's where my immediate that were not in the immediate
- 13:25Speaker 2: zone of the building's falling.
- 13:28Speaker 5: Okay, who's going to pay and how much? That's what
- 13:33Speaker 5: jurors are going to be deciding. Deliberations are scheduled to
- 13:36Speaker 5: get underway in a civil trial to determine the financial
- 13:40Speaker 5: responsibility for the deaths of eleven year old Mark Iskander
- 13:44Speaker 5: and his eight year old brother Jacob. They were hit
- 13:46Speaker 5: and killed crossing the street with their family in Westlake
- 13:49Speaker 5: Village in September of twenty twenty. Rebecca Grossman has already
- 13:53Speaker 5: been held convicted criminally for it. Now this is the
- 13:56Speaker 5: civil trial for jurors to decide how much responsible Rebecca
- 14:01Speaker 5: Grossman and former LA Dodgers Pitcher Scott Ericson bear for
- 14:05Speaker 5: the boy's deaths and how much money should be awarded
- 14:08Speaker 5: to their family. Damages sought in the hundreds of millions
- 14:12Speaker 5: of dollars.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it's going to be huge, by the way, if
- 14:14Speaker 2: they get one hundred million dollars, if they get hundreds
- 14:16Speaker 2: of millions. That's not going to go anyplace. That's the
- 14:18Speaker 2: symbolic number. The judge will, of course bring it way
- 14:22Speaker 2: way down. How much do you think she's worth? You know,
- 14:25Speaker 2: I don't know, but she's going to be cleaned out.
- 14:28Speaker 2: I'll tell you that. There's not going to be anything
- 14:30Speaker 2: left that she has. And they come from a fairly
- 14:32Speaker 2: wealthy family. She is part of the family. The Grossman
- 14:35Speaker 2: Burn Center and these are that's a major worldwide burn
- 14:39Speaker 2: center that's here in southern California. And on top of that,
- 14:42Speaker 2: as Amy just said, the jury is simply going to
- 14:45Speaker 2: determine how much money. There's no such thing as arguing
- 14:49Speaker 2: liability anymore other than trying to compare the two drivers,
- 14:53Speaker 2: because once you have a conviction, there's no defense anymore.
- 14:58Speaker 2: In a civil trial, you cannot argue a defense. The
- 15:01Speaker 2: only thing that's left is how much money is going
- 15:05Speaker 2: to be awarded, and it's going to be big, big money.
- 15:08Speaker 2: But again, what normally happens when you have huge awards
- 15:12Speaker 2: is the defendant immediately goes in front of the judge
- 15:15Speaker 2: and asks for something called remitter, and the judge looks
- 15:19Speaker 2: at it and brings it way way down because it's
- 15:23Speaker 2: it's not reasonable to you know, collect eighty million or
- 15:26Speaker 2: one hundred million. Maybe it is, depending on what the
- 15:28Speaker 2: judge thinks, but it will be the award will be massive.
- 15:34Speaker 2: And you're right, Neil, the award will be massive.
- 15:38Speaker 1: All right, stop giving giving your kids motor vehicles.
- 15:42Speaker 4: It's bad.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Authority is here in so Cal are warning parents yet
- 15:48Speaker 1: again about the dangers of teens illegally riding these et
- 15:52Speaker 1: bikes and these e motorcycles that we see all all
- 15:55Speaker 1: over the freaking place. There's this video going around. Fontana
- 16:00Speaker 1: Police Department sent it out. It shows two riders on
- 16:04Speaker 1: E motorcycles speeding through Hunter's Ridge neighborhood back in late May,
- 16:10Speaker 1: and the cops are saying both riders were seen performing stunts,
- 16:15Speaker 1: popping wheeli's, standing on their bikes, traveling through residential streets
- 16:20Speaker 1: and they saw the officers and just took off.
- 16:23Speaker 3: And yeah, that's all the chicks. But see that's the thing.
- 16:27Speaker 2: One of well, Lindsey's assister in law that knows a
- 16:32Speaker 2: lot of the kids, and you can see him around
- 16:35Speaker 2: here doing crazy ass stunts and to your point of
- 16:40Speaker 2: running away from the cops, that's part of the game
- 16:44Speaker 2: that when the cops show up. They now are running
- 16:48Speaker 2: away and think that is fun and terrific to avert
- 16:53Speaker 2: the cops, to make sure the cops it's just it's
- 16:56Speaker 2: sick stuff, and they do follow.
- 16:57Speaker 4: These kids are going to make it worse.
- 16:59Speaker 2: The kids are, you know, it's it's horrible. It's just
- 17:03Speaker 2: all of it in the scale. And I think we
- 17:05Speaker 2: talked to Jim. The number of injuries among these yeahs
- 17:09Speaker 2: has just gone astronomical.
- 17:12Speaker 5: Well, some of these bikes can go up to fifty
- 17:14Speaker 5: miles an hour. They're not really bikes, they're really motorcycles.
- 17:17Speaker 2: H Yeah, they are, and they you don't need a
- 17:19Speaker 2: license and just crazy, yeah yep.
- 17:23Speaker 1: And you can't be fifteen and ride them. That's the
- 17:29Speaker 1: issue is that they're they're not edally allowed to ride these.
- 17:33Speaker 3: I don't know, you know what, I don't know the
- 17:34Speaker 3: answer to that.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I think I don't think the motorcycle versions for show
- 17:38Speaker 1: maybe not.
- 17:38Speaker 2: But those are official motorcycles, not the ones that are
- 17:41Speaker 2: not d motorcycles.
- 17:43Speaker 5: Well, there's E bicycles and there's E motorcycles, right, and
- 17:46Speaker 5: there is bicycles can go up to twenty eight miles
- 17:49Speaker 5: an hour. The motorcycles can go faster, and kids under
- 17:51Speaker 5: eighteen are not supposed to be on them. That's why
- 17:53Speaker 5: they're they're bringing charges against parents now.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Yes, they're letting their kids ride as they should. I
- 17:58Speaker 2: just bought an e twice goal, not a bicycle. I did,
- 18:02Speaker 2: I did. I just bought it a couple of days
- 18:03Speaker 2: ago to run and only because I have no balance.
- 18:06Speaker 2: And if I tried to ride a bicycle and I'm done,
- 18:09Speaker 2: Neil has a video.
- 18:11Speaker 3: I have videos.
- 18:12Speaker 4: You tried to ride a bike?
- 18:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and I fell off it as long as a
- 18:16Speaker 2: canal when we were in France and I came this,
- 18:20Speaker 2: I mean I fell over and I came this close.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Uh really just drill a lot, just falling right into
- 18:26Speaker 2: the canal.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I almost went into the drink because he was trying
- 18:29Speaker 1: to close and I was behind him and on my hat.
- 18:34Speaker 4: I think I had a go pro.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I think clearly. Instagram posts of that.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I know I gotta find it. I gotta to find it.
- 18:41Speaker 1: It was high hilarious. I know how we can stop
- 18:45Speaker 1: this though. They need a police department with paintballs with
- 18:51Speaker 1: they just ride up alongside him.
- 18:55Speaker 4: That might work.
- 18:56Speaker 2: That might work anyway. The trike that I bought goes
- 18:58Speaker 2: I think up to twenty two mile per hour. And
- 19:01Speaker 2: since I'm fairly frightened to falling off even a trike,
- 19:04Speaker 2: I am going to be obviously in a helmet because
- 19:07Speaker 2: that's the law. And I'm gonna have shoulder pads and
- 19:09Speaker 2: knee pads. You ever been to a birthday party where
- 19:11Speaker 2: they have those Suma Wrestler Sumo wrestler costumes. I'll be
- 19:16Speaker 2: wearing one of those also when I ride the trunk. Yeah,
- 19:20Speaker 2: it's gonna be.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Jew in the world.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna be It's actually gonna be fun. It's
- 19:27Speaker 3: delivered on Friday.
- 19:29Speaker 5: Wait, you're serious. You really got one?
- 19:30Speaker 3: I really got one. I really got I can go.
- 19:33Speaker 5: And hang out with everybody in leisure world.
- 19:35Speaker 2: They all have true Thank you very much. I actually
- 19:37Speaker 2: got an e trike and my thing is bad. I
- 19:40Speaker 2: haven't had a balance. I mean, Neil has seen me
- 19:43Speaker 2: lose my balance over the years, where it's gotten worse
- 19:45Speaker 2: and worse. I started losing my balance while when I
- 19:49Speaker 2: was in my thirties.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Hmmm.
- 19:53Speaker 5: Pulling the plug on plus one seating for plus size passengers.
- 19:59Speaker 5: Southwest air Lines has reversed its policy that required people
- 20:05Speaker 5: who needed an extra seat to buy it. Now, they
- 20:09Speaker 5: will allow passengers to show up at the gate if
- 20:12Speaker 5: there's space on the plane. The ticket agent or gate
- 20:15Speaker 5: agent will say, okay, here you can have this seat,
- 20:17Speaker 5: and you can have this extra seat. But they also
- 20:20Speaker 5: are saying that it's probably still a good idea for
- 20:23Speaker 5: you to buy the ticket, and we'll reimburse it, reimburse
- 20:26Speaker 5: you for it.
- 20:27Speaker 2: I had once gone on a West Southwest flight and
- 20:30Speaker 2: this is the day's way. I weighed over three hundred
- 20:33Speaker 2: pounds and there were only there are very few seats
- 20:38Speaker 2: that were left, and there was a woman that weighed
- 20:43Speaker 2: about four hundred pounds sitting in a seat and I'm
- 20:48Speaker 2: three hundred pounds, and she took up one in three
- 20:50Speaker 2: quarter seat. And I went to the stewardess, female stewardess
- 20:55Speaker 2: and pointed, and they just started laughing. Everybody just started laughing,
- 21:01Speaker 2: and so they so, you were.
- 21:02Speaker 5: Three hundred pounds, she was four hundred pounds. You tried
- 21:05Speaker 5: to fat shamer.
- 21:08Speaker 2: No, no, well everybody started laughing. I just started laughing
- 21:11Speaker 2: because it was just ridiculous. Yeah, you're right. I started
- 21:14Speaker 2: pointing at her and starting to laugh and say a
- 21:17Speaker 2: lot of pretzels going into her, I was.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Just oki doki.
- 21:21Speaker 1: GLP one's going from you know, heavy set people on
- 21:25Speaker 1: flights to how to deal with it. Obviously a lot
- 21:29Speaker 1: of response, positively positive response to the GLP one medicines.
- 21:35Speaker 4: But now they're looking at another version.
- 21:42Speaker 1: It's an experimental weight loss drug caused people with obesity
- 21:46Speaker 1: is SHD on average twenty eight percent of their body weight.
- 21:51Speaker 1: And this is a huge step up in potency from
- 21:55Speaker 1: the existing crop of GLP one medications.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Yeah, this looks like it's gone from golp one, which
- 22:02Speaker 2: is reasonably healthy to get your weight down and avert
- 22:05Speaker 2: diabetes right into dangerous, dangerous levels. I just get too thin.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Well, in this case, maybe this is for people that
- 22:15Speaker 1: are much bigger. Obviously it would come with much more
- 22:19Speaker 1: supervision than the current golp ones. But patients on average
- 22:25Speaker 1: lost seventy pounds after eighty weeks at the highest dose.
- 22:30Speaker 1: So they're looking at this stuff, and you know, they're
- 22:32Speaker 1: finding all kinds of other things that it's helping with addiction,
- 22:38Speaker 1: other addictions other than food, and it's an interesting class
- 22:43Speaker 1: of drugs.
- 22:43Speaker 4: I'll be curious to see where that goes.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Maybe it's I think it's the magic bullet which they've
- 22:48Speaker 2: been looking for for so long in terms of weight loss,
- 22:50Speaker 2: it's pretty impressive stuff.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Okay, on Neil, my turn, No.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Fun, Amy's got to do the next two?
- 22:57Speaker 5: No fun? Okay. Forty eight percent of Americans say their
- 23:01Speaker 5: lives are currently lacking in fun. Twelve percent say they
- 23:05Speaker 5: can't remember the last time they had a full free
- 23:07Speaker 5: day to just enjoy themselves. People who do make time
- 23:12Speaker 5: for fun say it reduces their stress, they feel more motivated,
- 23:18Speaker 5: and eighty nine percent say fun strengthens relationships. I think
- 23:24Speaker 5: it's true.
- 23:25Speaker 3: There's actually been an on wake up call this morning. Yeah,
- 23:27Speaker 3: there's no fun in having fun, Yes, there is, you
- 23:30Speaker 3: have fun? A Disney fun is way overrated.
- 23:32Speaker 5: It is not. It is you seriously, like the sitting
- 23:37Speaker 5: there like belly laughing with not rolling out your nose
- 23:40Speaker 5: with your best friends isn't like the best thing ever.
- 23:43Speaker 2: No, it's just not running out my nose. That is
- 23:46Speaker 2: not connected to belly laughing. I don't laugh. I just got.
- 23:50Speaker 4: Laughing is the best.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I heard it you talking about this earlier, and I
- 23:54Speaker 1: was like that, I'm with you just being idiots.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Yeah, you should hear the kno and show off the air.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Big dummies. We just make each other laugh. That's what
- 24:04Speaker 4: we do.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Bro. Yeah, great fun laughing, yeah yeah, yeah yeah, it's
- 24:08Speaker 2: a lot of fun.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, all right.
- 24:12Speaker 5: The other one limits. The Defense Department has declared its
- 24:16Speaker 5: press office is now a classified space and is inaccessible
- 24:20Speaker 5: to journalists. The acting Press Secretary for the Pentagon as
- 24:24Speaker 5: Joel Valdez. He confirmed it saying on X there was
- 24:28Speaker 5: nothing controversial about that, and it is being done because
- 24:31Speaker 5: now speech writers who use classified material are occupying the
- 24:36Speaker 5: press office, and because they're occupying the press office, the
- 24:40Speaker 5: press can't have access to it because then they'd see
- 24:42Speaker 5: classified information.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Yeah, what a piece of work. Pete Hegseth is a
- 24:47Speaker 2: matter of fact. The story afterwards is another story of
- 24:50Speaker 2: Pete Hegseth.
- 24:52Speaker 1: This is an interesting one indeed. So going through the
- 24:57Speaker 1: promotions list, which he has the right to do, I suppose,
- 25:02Speaker 1: and promotions kind of go down. They're selected by a
- 25:06Speaker 1: board of senior Navy admirals, right, so they send that
- 25:09Speaker 1: list to hag Seth, and then hag Seth apparently has
- 25:14Speaker 1: disproportionately targeted women and minority officers and blocked them from promotions.
- 25:23Speaker 1: That is, that is the accusation, Well some accusation.
- 25:27Speaker 2: It happened, and this is a Secretary of Defense should
- 25:33Speaker 2: not get involved traditionally does not get involved in promotions,
- 25:38Speaker 2: follows recommendations, as Neil has said. And it's just he's
- 25:42Speaker 2: turning it around, I mean, just turning it all around.
- 25:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:45Speaker 1: No female officers were included in the new one star list,
- 25:50Speaker 1: despite the fact that women made up twenty one percent
- 25:53Speaker 1: of the active duty.
- 25:54Speaker 5: Maybe seventeen seventy six is about to eighty sixth. The
- 26:01Speaker 5: Trump administration has signaled that it's one point seven to
- 26:06Speaker 5: seven six billion dollar payout fund called the Anti Weaponization
- 26:10Speaker 5: Fund is on shaky ground. Republican lawmakers pushed the White
- 26:14Speaker 5: House to abandon the idea of reimbursing people who were
- 26:18Speaker 5: wronged by the Biden administration.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and and the problem is, oh, you talk about
- 26:24Speaker 2: the backlash on this one. Even Republicans are so offended
- 26:27Speaker 2: by this because who is open to getting money the
- 26:32Speaker 2: January sixth perpetrator of the overrunning of the Capitol.
- 26:40Speaker 3: But again, why did Trump do this?
- 26:42Speaker 2: Because they were not criminals, they were patriots and that's
- 26:47Speaker 2: and they were held hostage, the ones who in fact
- 26:51Speaker 2: were convicted, So no surprise, and it's falling apart because
- 26:56Speaker 2: it's so offensive to so many about Republicans. Every Democrat,
- 27:01Speaker 2: of course, is going to vote against it, but just
- 27:03Speaker 2: even the Republicans are just stunned by this. It's falling
- 27:07Speaker 2: apart very very quickly. Okay, we're done with that. Coming
- 27:11Speaker 2: up today is primary election day. What to know who's
- 27:15Speaker 2: running and the importance, and we've got a couple of
- 27:18Speaker 2: races here that have national import we'll be back with
- 27:21Speaker 2: all of that. This is KFI AM six point forty.
- 27:25Speaker 3: You've been listening to the Bill Handle Show.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Catch my Show Monday through Friday six am to nine am,
- 27:30Speaker 2: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
