- 0:02Speaker 1: me out on a Bulet Cab podcast, Boutlet Cab Show
- 0:08Speaker 1: Special guests in here. Just drop the nice little four
- 0:11Speaker 1: piece on the due Bulet cav Blast is back, baby, Yes, sir,
- 0:16Speaker 1: what's up? Just for clarity out right now? Oh taping
- 0:19Speaker 1: shout already, shout out lerke Jie and Mustard. I feel
- 0:22Speaker 1: like Martin, you and Roddy Rich together is like it's
- 0:26Speaker 1: like the fucking mighty Morphin Power Rangers of like La Hooks.
- 0:30Speaker 1: That's good compliment. I like that. I like that. I
- 0:33Speaker 1: feel like people was waiting on this, but I feel
- 0:35Speaker 1: like it was per perfect time and too. Everybody was
- 0:38Speaker 1: like when are y'all going to little song together? That
- 0:40Speaker 1: was like the one guy. I feel like everybody was like, Man,
- 0:42Speaker 1: a Roddy and Blast record would be fucking nuts. Yeah,
- 0:46Speaker 1: perfect time, man, how does that work? Does that work? Where?
- 0:49Speaker 1: Like you send him the record because I know you
- 0:51Speaker 1: like to work on your own, usually at the house, right. Yeah, Well,
- 0:55Speaker 1: I did a record with Roddy a minute ago that
- 0:58Speaker 1: I just produce actually, but yeah, I just sent him
- 1:02Speaker 1: a beatpack for this. I sent it to Keifa. Actually,
- 1:04Speaker 1: they were sitting on it for a minute, and then
- 1:06Speaker 1: Roddy was like, I got something perfect for us, sent
- 1:09Speaker 1: that through. That was the one passionate. So how long
- 1:12Speaker 1: ago did you have to beat with Roddy? Because you,
- 1:15Speaker 1: for people don't know. I mean we talk about this
- 1:16Speaker 1: a lot, but you're like a og out here for sure.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Obviously you've taken off the last year or four years,
- 1:21Speaker 1: but before that you were producing a lot, Yeah, for sure.
- 1:24Speaker 1: So I mean that's pretty much how I got my
- 1:26Speaker 1: name amongst the city locally, just producing like the song
- 1:29Speaker 1: Forcano for real, for real, right with it? Yeah, most
- 1:33Speaker 1: of Beano's early catalog. But the Roddy situation, I'm kind
- 1:40Speaker 1: of tripping on the initial question. I was gonna say.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You said that you had originally produced a beat for
- 1:44Speaker 1: Roddy back in the day. Oh yeah, yeah, just being
- 1:46Speaker 1: around organically. How long ago was that though? That was
- 1:49Speaker 1: probably four years ago at this point, because I knew
- 1:52Speaker 1: Roddy a minute and the first time my medal was
- 1:55Speaker 1: in Compton, you know Womanton Arms projects. Just randomly it
- 1:58Speaker 1: was like yo, you do music, and I know his people,
- 2:01Speaker 1: you know, we just connected like that. So just to
- 2:04Speaker 1: see his grind and see everything come full circle like
- 2:06Speaker 1: he's seen me before. I was anybody too, And I
- 2:09Speaker 1: feel like this was a dope moment to you know,
- 2:12Speaker 1: link up. But uh, they've been sitting on that beaf
- 2:14Speaker 1: for like three four years. Oh damn. So the beat
- 2:17Speaker 1: that you just dropped he got three years ago. Yeah,
- 2:21Speaker 1: oh shit, damn. And then you could tell too, because
- 2:25Speaker 1: the sonics of the sound is like my six tape
- 2:28Speaker 1: one type vibes, like the early things I did with Beano.
- 2:31Speaker 1: It's the same type of sonics. And now, okay, so
- 2:35Speaker 1: the original beat that you produced for him, did that
- 2:37Speaker 1: ever come out? No? I never came out. Never even
- 2:38Speaker 1: dropped a whole different vibe too. That was a whole
- 2:41Speaker 1: different vibe, but it never came Yeah. Well look, man,
- 2:45Speaker 1: I do feel like you kind of have You do
- 2:46Speaker 1: make timeless music. So a three or four year old
- 2:49Speaker 1: song still sounds good. Absolutely not the song. The song
- 2:54Speaker 1: was recorded more recently, but the beat was made three
- 2:57Speaker 1: or four years ago. You go, there, are you still
- 2:59Speaker 1: recording at home a lot? Absolutely? I feel like I'm
- 3:02Speaker 1: like I'm used to recording that. Huh. That's like my
- 3:05Speaker 1: safe space. You know how to engineer yourself if it
- 3:08Speaker 1: ain't broke while I fix it. So like, will you like,
- 3:11Speaker 1: if you're out of town and you go to the studio,
- 3:13Speaker 1: are you like sitting at the board recording yourself or
- 3:15Speaker 1: do you use the other engineer for the studio? Yeah?
- 3:18Speaker 1: I still, you know, oping myself to work with other
- 3:20Speaker 1: engineers and things like that. I got a couple that
- 3:23Speaker 1: I work with. Shout out to the lance, shout out
- 3:26Speaker 1: Chris at Paramount. But for the most part, yea, I'm
- 3:30Speaker 1: outside the booth. I'm sitting like this with him. You know,
- 3:33Speaker 1: I need that genuine often of connection when I'm recording,
- 3:36Speaker 1: and it feels like I'm at home when I record
- 3:38Speaker 1: like that, versus standing in the booth and feeling disconnected
- 3:42Speaker 1: with the you know, I know you had said before
- 3:45Speaker 1: that you were recording a lot of these early records
- 3:47Speaker 1: on just that road like kit that you would get
- 3:49Speaker 1: a guitar center if you're at Paramount, what Mike you
- 3:52Speaker 1: picking see I'm not even that tapped into the names
- 3:55Speaker 1: and stuff. But I like the Norman U eighty seven. Mike,
- 3:58Speaker 1: that's what I just got hipped on to shout out tick.
- 4:00Speaker 1: He just bought me that mic. It's a great MIC's
- 4:02Speaker 1: like a three thousand mic. Yeah, I love it. There's
- 4:06Speaker 1: that one, and then I think the other one everyone
- 4:08Speaker 1: likes is that the eight hundred to Sony, that big
- 4:11Speaker 1: black one. Yeah, with the big booty on the back,
- 4:14Speaker 1: yep for sure. How often, like, okay, you, I feel
- 4:20Speaker 1: like you've had a pretty insane run. When we think
- 4:23Speaker 1: about just some of the legends you've been able to
- 4:25Speaker 1: record with, You've been on records with nas Rick Ross,
- 4:27Speaker 1: we can go on and on and on. How often
- 4:31Speaker 1: are you able to kind of like step out of
- 4:33Speaker 1: the moment and kind of appreciate the journey that you've
- 4:37Speaker 1: been on in just the last three or four years.
- 4:39Speaker 1: It's been crazy to see. Yeah, I don't think I
- 4:42Speaker 1: ever well this far as far as I've been recording,
- 4:47Speaker 1: I don't feel like I ever got to that moment
- 4:49Speaker 1: because I feel like I'm still living a dream. Bro
- 4:52Speaker 1: Like I can't even nas is like my uncle's favorite rapper,
- 4:57Speaker 1: you feel me, Kendrick is like my favorite rappers. It
- 5:00Speaker 1: was like, all this shit is unreal. I'm still trying
- 5:03Speaker 1: to unpack it off, still trying to create a name
- 5:05Speaker 1: for myself, still setting my foundation, my infrastructure. So it's
- 5:09Speaker 1: just I don't know. I just look at it as reinsurance.
- 5:12Speaker 1: You know that I'm that I'm on the right path
- 5:15Speaker 1: over everything. I love it. Man, How for you, like,
- 5:19Speaker 1: I feel like you're still hop like popping in on
- 5:22Speaker 1: people's projects. But I feel like the last like six months,
- 5:25Speaker 1: so you've been a little quiet. I'm like getting on
- 5:27Speaker 1: other people sit. Is it because you're in an album mode? Yes,
- 5:29Speaker 1: definitely in album mode. Okay, we're cooking up. I've been
- 5:32Speaker 1: on tour, Hella, you're on tour. Yeah, you feel me.
- 5:35Speaker 1: So I went to Australia for the first time. What
- 5:38Speaker 1: we did around out there Melbourne is crazy. I heard
- 5:42Speaker 1: that that's the best city I've ever been to so far.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I heard all the women look like Iggy. I actually
- 5:48Speaker 1: hear that, and I actually listen. I have friends who
- 5:51Speaker 1: have gone there who are African American, and they say,
- 5:53Speaker 1: if you look like us, you're getting all the pussy.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I can't vouch for it a lot, but they did
- 5:59Speaker 1: treat us like real here, and they just embraced the
- 6:03Speaker 1: LA culture too. I feel like they knew about artists
- 6:05Speaker 1: like Kayling. Yeah for real, for real. It was a
- 6:08Speaker 1: group of girls liked there. To me, like we're kaling Man.
- 6:11Speaker 1: That's how they said it. Accent. I can't do the accent,
- 6:15Speaker 1: but I'm not feeling look crazy trying to do it either,
- 6:18Speaker 1: is it? I heard if you say Melbourne, they get mad.
- 6:20Speaker 1: It's supposed to be like Melbourne, Melbourne, Melbourne. Yeah, make
- 6:23Speaker 1: sure I stay it the right way. Jesus put some
- 6:26Speaker 1: respect on them. So you were just in Australia living
- 6:28Speaker 1: your best life. Yeah, we did Australia Run. We did
- 6:31Speaker 1: like five four or five cities out there. How was
- 6:34Speaker 1: the food in Australia? Said the same. Is it kind
- 6:36Speaker 1: of like just America? But like not, I really don't recall.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It was in and out. You feel me in terms
- 6:44Speaker 1: of the vibe of Australia, is it like an American
- 6:46Speaker 1: vibe or is it like do you feel like you're
- 6:48Speaker 1: in like a whole other place. You definitely feel like
- 6:49Speaker 1: you're in a whole different place, just even driving by
- 6:53Speaker 1: certain sites of buildings, the infrastructures of buildings, everything just
- 6:57Speaker 1: like different. So Melbourne is your favorite city been to? Yeah?
- 7:00Speaker 1: So far? Just the people outside of everything, just the
- 7:04Speaker 1: way they embraced us, the way they actually genuinely was fans.
- 7:08Speaker 1: We did like an after party after It was cracking,
- 7:11Speaker 1: Like everybody that came to the show was at the
- 7:13Speaker 1: after party too. It was lit. Any tour stuff coming
- 7:17Speaker 1: up this year, it's gonna be a light year. I
- 7:19Speaker 1: felt like I definitely am dedicating this year to be
- 7:25Speaker 1: more creative. You feel me. It gave my debut album. Yeah,
- 7:28Speaker 1: but I'm gonna do select dates, different festivals and college shows,
- 7:32Speaker 1: things like that. So I'm still outside. But we're not
- 7:35Speaker 1: even considering you having any albums out yet. Yeah, call
- 7:42Speaker 1: it what you want. But I felt like I haven't
- 7:45Speaker 1: put out an album yet, Like I haven't sat down
- 7:48Speaker 1: and genuinely been like album mode. Everything I've been making
- 7:52Speaker 1: been on the move. So like now you put out
- 7:54Speaker 1: the four pack just to kind of appease everybody yet, like, yo,
- 7:57Speaker 1: I got these four where you did it before obviously, Yeah,
- 8:00Speaker 1: this is kind of the appetizer to the debut albums,
- 8:03Speaker 1: the advertizer, and you can tell too, I'm staying true
- 8:06Speaker 1: to my sound, but for the for the album, it's
- 8:08Speaker 1: gonna be more experimental. Definitely still standing true to my
- 8:12Speaker 1: sound for the album too, but it's an elevator version
- 8:15Speaker 1: of that. So I'm excited for the fans. So I
- 8:17Speaker 1: feel like they can predict what I'm doing. But I'm
- 8:19Speaker 1: feel hit on with a left jab real quick. I
- 8:21Speaker 1: was gonna say, how are you experimenting? Because I do
- 8:23Speaker 1: feel like you have your signature sound. Yeah, you have
- 8:28Speaker 1: your I feel like you have your pocket. If we
- 8:30Speaker 1: think of like what a blast bpm is, like we
- 8:33Speaker 1: kind of know what your pocket is. How are you
- 8:35Speaker 1: expanding the sound? How are you experimenting? Man? For me,
- 8:39Speaker 1: it's just opening my mind to different creators as well.
- 8:42Speaker 1: A lot of the times I be in the house
- 8:44Speaker 1: by myself, Like it's only so much inspiration you can
- 8:46Speaker 1: pull from a bedroom and isolation, right, So I'm opening
- 8:52Speaker 1: my mind with different writers, different producers, different creatives, even
- 8:55Speaker 1: just people with good conversation. I'm just you know, putting
- 8:58Speaker 1: myself more out there. I'll be to myself a lot,
- 9:01Speaker 1: so you know, it's a challenge for me, but I'm
- 9:03Speaker 1: willing to go over that hump. Would you say you're
- 9:05Speaker 1: an introvert, I'm like an introvert extrovert, Like if you
- 9:09Speaker 1: know me, you know I'm goofy. You know I'm extra
- 9:11Speaker 1: talking and playful. But you know, the people I'm not
- 9:14Speaker 1: really comfortable with. It may take some time for me
- 9:16Speaker 1: to get open with you. You You and Righty Richard very similar. Definitely, Yeah, yeah,
- 9:21Speaker 1: we just we just shot the video to passion it
- 9:23Speaker 1: and it was like y'all got to open up more.
- 9:25Speaker 1: He was like, you know, we two niggas, you know,
- 9:27Speaker 1: like turn down video shoot shout out Righty, that's good people, Yo,
- 9:32Speaker 1: this is an amazing jacket. Shout out to Jeff Hamilton.
- 9:34Speaker 1: You said this is accustomed, Jack Hamilton. Jeff Hamilton, Man,
- 9:37Speaker 1: we did a you know, a custom piece for the
- 9:39Speaker 1: before you go to our merch so fans bought this too. Yeah,
- 9:43Speaker 1: what's that? At least a rack twelve hundred and fifteen hundred?
- 9:46Speaker 1: You feel that leather man? No, no, listen, I know
- 9:48Speaker 1: I'm a regular degular. He made a son's jacket and
- 9:51Speaker 1: I put it on at my boys shop guest list
- 9:53Speaker 1: in Phoenix and then he was like it's twelve hundred
- 9:56Speaker 1: and I took it right off and put it back.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I said, shout out to Jack Man out Jeff Man.
- 10:01Speaker 1: He good people. Yeah for you. How are you guys
- 10:04Speaker 1: expanding the Eagle brand because if it's gonna be kind
- 10:07Speaker 1: of a quiet year for you after this four pack?
- 10:10Speaker 1: Working on the album, Are you guys gonna be putting
- 10:14Speaker 1: out artists? I know we've talked to you guys, have
- 10:16Speaker 1: had you guys signed artist? Obviously we talked about that
- 10:18Speaker 1: last time. Is there gonna be any music coming out?
- 10:20Speaker 1: It's gonna be a lot of things coming out us.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Vict like likes to say, we like to keep the
- 10:24Speaker 1: channel noisy, right. So we got the venture side of Eagle,
- 10:28Speaker 1: We got the publishing side of Eagle, We got the
- 10:31Speaker 1: label side. We got artists like Jay Million that we're developing.
- 10:36Speaker 1: We got producers and artists like Grandmaster, Vic j Pilot,
- 10:40Speaker 1: so we pushing them out in different endeavors as well.
- 10:42Speaker 1: They're gonna be working on my project too. But and
- 10:45Speaker 1: then we got the you know, the investment side of things.
- 10:48Speaker 1: We were heavy on that side too. Are you guys
- 10:51Speaker 1: investing in We got the Creative Wreck in Philly? Okay,
- 10:54Speaker 1: what's that Philly Reck? Philly? It's a creator for gems.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I mean it's a jail for creators. My bad. So
- 11:00Speaker 1: when you say it's a gym for creative yeah, it's
- 11:03Speaker 1: like where people who are creative go to like lift weights.
- 11:07Speaker 1: It's like it's like a workshop for creatives. So you
- 11:10Speaker 1: may go in. You may want to know. You could
- 11:12Speaker 1: come here, you can lift weights. No one's gonna judge
- 11:15Speaker 1: you if you got paid on your hands and ship. Nah,
- 11:18Speaker 1: it's like a gym for creator. So when I say that,
- 11:21Speaker 1: it's like a workshop where you may link with somebody
- 11:24Speaker 1: who know how to print up some merch. You may
- 11:27Speaker 1: link with somebody who's a producer, or you know, somebody
- 11:29Speaker 1: who's on the brander side of things. Yeah, so it's
- 11:32Speaker 1: like a hub for that. But they also just partner
- 11:35Speaker 1: with a with Diddy for Miami Wreck as well, So
- 11:38Speaker 1: we're part of that, or you're just part of the
- 11:40Speaker 1: Philly location. We're part of the whole thing. Oh yeah,
- 11:43Speaker 1: so check you out in business with Diddy? Kind of yes,
- 11:46Speaker 1: you can say literally, you can say that. Have you
- 11:48Speaker 1: ever talked to Diddy? No? Not personally? Why not? I
- 11:53Speaker 1: mean never, It's just it hasn't been a hard encounter yet.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure we're gonna run into each other something.
- 12:00Speaker 1: He's supposed to be putting out an R and B album. Man,
- 12:02Speaker 1: he's going crazy. He going crazy with jos Zy too,
- 12:05Speaker 1: Shout out Joe Love Records. They're going stupid. You gotta
- 12:08Speaker 1: be on the Diddy R and B album I work
- 12:11Speaker 1: with Jazz shout out jos Zy. Have you uh, because
- 12:14Speaker 1: I do feel like you're kind of like when we
- 12:18Speaker 1: think of like West Coast the last five years or so,
- 12:20Speaker 1: it's really like you and Roddy Rich in terms of
- 12:24Speaker 1: commercial success. Do you feel like, really, I really, I
- 12:28Speaker 1: mean commercials we leave out Tyler the creator. Yeah, you're right,
- 12:32Speaker 1: Fuck everyone does that, including me, apparently just I would
- 12:35Speaker 1: say this, it's literally Tyler, yeah, and then Tyler. We
- 12:39Speaker 1: gotta put Tyler number one of these. I just got
- 12:41Speaker 1: to his own festival, the Drama's listening party, and I
- 12:46Speaker 1: was like, Bro, every time we speak about the West,
- 12:48Speaker 1: I don't know why people leave your name. I don't
- 12:50Speaker 1: even like mentally see him as even like I didn't
- 12:53Speaker 1: mention Kendrick right now, I guess I'm thinking like I
- 12:56Speaker 1: don't though, Yeah, I understand what I'm talking about, like
- 12:59Speaker 1: the new generation. Like I feel like you and Roddy
- 13:01Speaker 1: have obviously each kind of hit your stride in the
- 13:04Speaker 1: last five years. But do you feel do you feel
- 13:07Speaker 1: like the pressure of like kind of like because when
- 13:10Speaker 1: we think of LA, I think a lot of people
- 13:12Speaker 1: who aren't from LA feel like LA has a certain
- 13:16Speaker 1: sound that isn't necessarily palatable nationwide a lot. But then
- 13:21Speaker 1: you got guys like yourself and Roddy who come through
- 13:24Speaker 1: and are making these like anthems that everybody all over
- 13:27Speaker 1: the world are being able to like consume. And like,
- 13:29Speaker 1: do you feel like any pressure in terms of just
- 13:31Speaker 1: representing the West on that scale or do you not
- 13:33Speaker 1: even think about it? You're just making music. I don't
- 13:35Speaker 1: even think. I don't even think that deep into it.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I just do me for the most part. But I
- 13:40Speaker 1: get it though, you know, But I also feel like
- 13:42Speaker 1: it starts with the producers as well, Like we have
- 13:46Speaker 1: a certain sonic that we are, you know, like not
- 13:50Speaker 1: letting go at all. So we just got to get
- 13:52Speaker 1: more experimental, and the producers got to be more mindful
- 13:56Speaker 1: of that as well, and also collaborating with the artists.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Got to collaborate producers outside of LA Yeah that part.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Get on them YouTube beats man that use a lotsarati
- 14:05Speaker 1: success you. I mean, they couldn't box some men from
- 14:07Speaker 1: the jump, so you can't predict what you're finna do.

- 19:32Speaker 1: to the interview. Has anybody made any blast hooks through
- 19:36Speaker 1: artificial intelligence yet? The AI? Have you seen this? I've
- 19:40Speaker 1: seen that you're talking about, like where you kid like
- 19:44Speaker 1: he just did a whole verse. He wrapped it as
- 19:46Speaker 1: himself like he was Kanye, and then he ran it
- 19:49Speaker 1: through artificial intelligence and it's it sounds like a fucking
- 19:52Speaker 1: Kanye song. So people can literally be out here with
- 19:55Speaker 1: bootleg blast versus I swear cap. It'll be probably it's
- 19:59Speaker 1: probably easier raps, but like singing, I don't know, man,
- 20:03Speaker 1: we gotta let you find out a singer AI singer.
- 20:07Speaker 1: If someone like hypothetical situation, somebody puts up a fake
- 20:11Speaker 1: blast record. Yeah, and it goes crazy, right, they write it,
- 20:16Speaker 1: they sing it, then they put their own verses on it.
- 20:19Speaker 1: It goes crazy, though, are you making them take it down?
- 20:24Speaker 1: I mean, if I could be a part of it,
- 20:25Speaker 1: let's get this back. Okay, like yo, get that bag.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I'm not gonna hate on it, but I gotta be
- 20:30Speaker 1: a part of it for sure. Do you ever look
- 20:32Speaker 1: up blast type beats on YouTube? Yeah? Dude? Ever anything fire? Yeah,
- 20:37Speaker 1: you may come across something. I always wanted that. Like,
- 20:40Speaker 1: I'm like, heo, if I'm a rapper, I'm just like
- 20:42Speaker 1: type beating myself on YouTube or pause all the time.
- 20:48Speaker 1: You got a sick one. No, I'm just saying. I mean,
- 20:51Speaker 1: I can't talk about beating myself on the internet. Nah, Nah,
- 20:53Speaker 1: I don't. I don't think it's like I feel like
- 20:55Speaker 1: you gotta go to the originator for that, for the
- 20:57Speaker 1: blast type beats, you know, with shout out all the producers,
- 21:00Speaker 1: that's you know, taking as sauce and running with it.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Would you say in twenty twenty three, because I do
- 21:08Speaker 1: feel like being a producer, it's a very heavily saturated
- 21:11Speaker 1: game and unfortunately, as a producer, I feel like you're
- 21:15Speaker 1: kind of underappreciated in the same way that photographers and
- 21:18Speaker 1: videographers are underappreciated in it producers the same way. Like
- 21:21Speaker 1: what would be some advice you would give producers in
- 21:24Speaker 1: twenty twenty three, whether it's having their business right or
- 21:27Speaker 1: you know, I think some people chase placements as opposed to, like,
- 21:31Speaker 1: you know, there's other routes to monetize your talent. You
- 21:34Speaker 1: know what I love and shout out to hip Boy
- 21:37Speaker 1: because I feel like he's pinpointing this. But like producers
- 21:41Speaker 1: that work with that artist and just build a whole sound,
- 21:45Speaker 1: a whole sonic, like what he did with Benny the Butcher.
- 21:48Speaker 1: What are you doing with nas? Things like that? I
- 21:50Speaker 1: feel like we need to get back to that, like
- 21:52Speaker 1: Timolin and miss Yelli, Like we don't really get those
- 21:55Speaker 1: full bodies of work like that. So that's what I'm like.
- 21:58Speaker 1: If you're up becoming producer in like Indiana or something like,
- 22:01Speaker 1: find a dope artist that's in your city and like
- 22:03Speaker 1: try to build a sound. I think that's doper than
- 22:06Speaker 1: just getting that one hit record with that popular artist already.
- 22:09Speaker 1: It's like it's better when you build something from the
- 22:11Speaker 1: from the mud. Well you checked Riddy off the list
- 22:14Speaker 1: of artists that people want to see you work with.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Is there anybody else you really want to work with it?
- 22:19Speaker 1: For whatever reason, it just hasn't aligned yet. Uh, nobody specifically.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I mean I always say for real, but that's like
- 22:26Speaker 1: more so I want him to executive produce a project
- 22:29Speaker 1: later down the line if I'm able to, if he's
- 22:32Speaker 1: able to. But nobody specifically right now, I'm trying to
- 22:35Speaker 1: focus on myself. Yeah, nobody on the R and B side, Nah,
- 22:41Speaker 1: pretty much work with a lot of people. I gotta
- 22:44Speaker 1: get back to the blast story for sure. Yeah, I
- 22:48Speaker 1: mean I've been going for I've been I've been feeling
- 22:50Speaker 1: like t Pain last year feature crazy Future Crazy. Nowadays,
- 22:55Speaker 1: let's say major label calls it's a new artist they signed.
- 23:00Speaker 1: You have no idea who it is, but they're on
- 23:02Speaker 1: Atlantic and they want that blast sauce. That fucking what's
- 23:06Speaker 1: that hitting for? You know? I never charged for a
- 23:09Speaker 1: feature ever ever. No, really, So you're doing it only
- 23:14Speaker 1: if you truly want to truly like the song. You
- 23:16Speaker 1: have to like the song, you have to like the artist. Yeah,
- 23:20Speaker 1: I'm talking about up front. It's a back end cause
- 23:22Speaker 1: but if I like the song. I'm not gonna give
- 23:24Speaker 1: you that hash So you feel me? The back end
- 23:26Speaker 1: is just like the bag or is it the It
- 23:30Speaker 1: may be the video, it may be the wardrobe for
- 23:33Speaker 1: the video, things of that nature. You feel me. You
- 23:36Speaker 1: still got to show up as Blast. I'm still a brand,
- 23:38Speaker 1: I'm still a company. But on the front end, I'm
- 23:41Speaker 1: not fee to be like I need fifteen just to
- 23:42Speaker 1: record the first I need you know. Yo. It sucks
- 23:45Speaker 1: too because a lot of artists will pay that to
- 23:47Speaker 1: these features and then the song doesn't get clear. Yeah,
- 23:51Speaker 1: it's cold games. They got the money. Hey, get your money?
- 23:55Speaker 1: How you get it? Couldn't be met a What about
- 23:57Speaker 1: you and T Pain? That'll be crazy? I love T Paying.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Have you seen his any of his covers? He just
- 24:04Speaker 1: did a whole album. Yeah, I've been watching that. He
- 24:06Speaker 1: didn't get the Ozzy Osbourne war Pigs, Yeah he did.
- 24:11Speaker 1: He did at Sam Cook, Sam Cook, he did Chris
- 24:14Speaker 1: Stables in the country guy, Oh come man. Yeah, T
- 24:17Speaker 1: Paying a legend. You guys have never connected never can.
- 24:20Speaker 1: I think we were supposed to. I think I know
- 24:21Speaker 1: his manager actually, but he never got on the table officially.
- 24:26Speaker 1: You gotta make that happen. Man. Yeah, because you're kind
- 24:28Speaker 1: of like the hook guy now, you know. Yeah, I
- 24:30Speaker 1: need some songs. I need to ask him a thousand questions.
- 24:33Speaker 1: When I did the video of Rick Ross, I asked
- 24:35Speaker 1: him a thousand questions. What questions did you ask a cross?
- 24:38Speaker 1: I was like, what did you do with your first million?
- 24:41Speaker 1: What are you saying? It was like the first thing
- 24:43Speaker 1: I did, I saved it. But he was telling me
- 24:47Speaker 1: it was like because I told him I lived in
- 24:49Speaker 1: la He was like, that's the worst place to buy
- 24:50Speaker 1: real estate. Get something in Atlanta. Atlanta's for sales. It's
- 24:54Speaker 1: a lot of land. So also the state taxes here suck. Yeah,
- 25:00Speaker 1: tell me about it. Are you realizing that now that
- 25:01Speaker 1: you're rich? I wouldn't say that, but you've got that
- 25:06Speaker 1: guy Vic over there. He will give you some terrible
- 25:08Speaker 1: tax advice. According to Fuck with Viral, you could write
- 25:12Speaker 1: your drawer. You know how many CPAs were that he
- 25:17Speaker 1: cleared it up on the last interview. You know what
- 25:20Speaker 1: you gotta do. You gotta set up the address in Nevada,
- 25:23Speaker 1: buy a house out there, just let it sit or
- 25:27Speaker 1: just have some people rent it. But all the bills
- 25:28Speaker 1: are in your name. Hey, I take all the advice
- 25:31Speaker 1: and then you past no state tax because Nevada's that's
- 25:34Speaker 1: what you do. No, but a rapper who you have
- 25:37Speaker 1: a lot of songs with does that? Yeah, he's from
- 25:41Speaker 1: La and like a lot of songs more than two. No,
- 25:45Speaker 1: I think you only have one or two with them, Okay,
- 25:47Speaker 1: I think yes, whatever, Yeah, not a lot of songs.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Speaking of a lot of songs. Have you talked to
- 25:52Speaker 1: Mazzi if you wrote him since he's been in jailer,
- 25:54Speaker 1: I haven't. Haven't talked to Mazzi free Mazi man. I
- 25:56Speaker 1: talked to Davo though, and uh, you say, you know
- 25:59Speaker 1: he good spirits. So when he gets out, I think
- 26:02Speaker 1: you guys should do another like dude, just for clarity
- 26:05Speaker 1: three just all Mazzi features. That'd be crazy. Nah. I
- 26:08Speaker 1: definitely want to check that off my list sooner or later,
- 26:10Speaker 1: like a Mazi some type of project, whether it be
- 26:14Speaker 1: four songs, ten songs, something, because I feel like the
- 26:17Speaker 1: chemistry we got we ain't missed yet. I feel like
- 26:20Speaker 1: to Mazzi was like an early believer in you in
- 26:22Speaker 1: terms of like just like collaborating, and you know, I
- 26:25Speaker 1: feel like Mazi has a huge following and I feel
- 26:27Speaker 1: like he put you on some shit that you know
- 26:30Speaker 1: at that time. I remember a lot of people found
- 26:33Speaker 1: you through MAZZI definitely shout out Dava for really making
- 26:37Speaker 1: a play, but I always stay between Mazi and Eric Bellinger.
- 26:40Speaker 1: That was the first two artists that gave me that platform.
- 26:44Speaker 1: What did Eric do for you? He gave me a
- 26:45Speaker 1: feature early. This was before Beno. Eric's great. Yeah, he
- 26:49Speaker 1: gave me a hook early on. He give you a
- 26:51Speaker 1: hook early, just through to you. Well we swapped, you know,
- 26:54Speaker 1: I gave him a hook as well. Has he put
- 26:56Speaker 1: yours out? Yeah? Okay, I didn't know if he was
- 26:59Speaker 1: like holding on to you because I've been hearing random
- 27:01Speaker 1: hooks or years they are like four years old. When
- 27:03Speaker 1: rappers play me songs, they'd be like, yeah, I got
- 27:05Speaker 1: a record with Blast. I'm like, I was like, yeah,
- 27:07Speaker 1: we did this shit in like twenty seventeen, right right right?
- 27:10Speaker 1: Why haven't you released it? Did you ever like have
- 27:14Speaker 1: to take shit down online because it's old or unauthorized?
- 27:18Speaker 1: I did that early on. I did that early on.
- 27:21Speaker 1: I had a lot of you know, unpolished music up
- 27:25Speaker 1: and I felt like as a brand, it wasn't you know,
- 27:27Speaker 1: I mean, I mean like an artist who maybe has
- 27:29Speaker 1: had a hook for like oh no, no, no no, well,
- 27:33Speaker 1: I don't know that they've never had to drop on somebody.
- 27:38Speaker 1: I feel like we are tight knit company. We don't
- 27:41Speaker 1: really leak too much. We have a small circle anyway
- 27:44Speaker 1: as far as the creative team, So none of that
- 27:47Speaker 1: ever happened to me. They did try to leak the
- 27:51Speaker 1: The Passionate record though, me and Roddy before it came out.
- 27:53Speaker 1: It was like two days before it came out. Really, yeah,
- 27:56Speaker 1: but it was also on the Insecure show, like maybe
- 28:00Speaker 1: a month or two prior so, somebody had it. It's
- 28:02Speaker 1: been through a lot of hands, yeah, it was, yeah,
- 28:05Speaker 1: but we got it under control. Yeah. Once it's on
- 28:07Speaker 1: a TV show. Who knows how many people have touched
- 28:09Speaker 1: the song or had it in their email at that point. Yeah,
- 28:12Speaker 1: pretty much. Damn. I remember I used to shout I
- 28:15Speaker 1: got my name because I used to get the lead
- 28:18Speaker 1: and made a whole brand off of it, stealing met
- 28:22Speaker 1: seventeen studios and everything. He doing a bit you're the
- 28:25Speaker 1: rich one. No no, no, no no, no, you're the rich one.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Ever since you got that that platinum plaque behind you,
- 28:31Speaker 1: E've ben running up the bag yeah, what's the next
- 28:33Speaker 1: song that's about to that? I can get a plaque
- 28:35Speaker 1: for what's the next song? You gotta have some more certifications.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Have the the die hard mm hm plaque. That'll be legendary.
- 28:45Speaker 1: They have they done plaques for that. Not that yet,
- 28:48Speaker 1: but yeah, that's a legendary situation right there. I'm excited
- 28:52Speaker 1: for that one. Is it already platinum? We can look
- 28:56Speaker 1: it up and do the math, but I haven't. Hey,
- 28:59Speaker 1: we got to stop the interview real quick to tell
- 29:01Speaker 1: you about our family at odd Socks. Baby, that's right,

- 31:02Speaker 1: when I was you came out? Did you come out
- 31:04Speaker 1: with Kendrick at Staple or at Crypto? I didn't, Okay,
- 31:07Speaker 1: maybe that's what. Maybe I remember being disappointed that you
- 31:10Speaker 1: didn't because I went to two of the shows. I
- 31:12Speaker 1: was there at. That show was Legend. I was like,
- 31:15Speaker 1: this would be a great opportunity to bring Blast out,
- 31:17Speaker 1: but it was such a like very unique set. I
- 31:20Speaker 1: feel like it'd be kind of weird to like implement
- 31:23Speaker 1: like a yeah, the way that show was, it was
- 31:26Speaker 1: so like choreography and it was very and I was
- 31:30Speaker 1: on tour at the same time too. We actually performed
- 31:33Speaker 1: in London. I want to say back to back dates
- 31:36Speaker 1: like and his venue was right across the street from mine.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Oh too? Did he give you any advice in terms of, like,
- 31:42Speaker 1: you know, Rick Ross told you to move out of
- 31:43Speaker 1: California Kendrick alone, I'm gonna hit him when when I
- 31:47Speaker 1: really really really need his advice, But i know he'd
- 31:50Speaker 1: be in his own world, so I'm gonna treat that
- 31:52Speaker 1: relationship sacredly. There it is, man So album on the way,
- 31:56Speaker 1: the four pack is out. Now you got a song
- 31:59Speaker 1: with Larry June. Yeah, who's been killing shit? How long
- 32:03Speaker 1: have you been hip to Larry's movement? Because he's been
- 32:06Speaker 1: for the better part of the last ten years building
- 32:08Speaker 1: an independent powerhouse. Right. I actually got put on Larry
- 32:11Speaker 1: Jones from VIC. Yeah, he put me onto his music,
- 32:15Speaker 1: and I really just liked how he branded everything, his
- 32:18Speaker 1: aesthetic organic. It's all very consistent. Yours is too, though.
- 32:23Speaker 1: You guys are very purposeful in terms of the branding
- 32:25Speaker 1: and the aesthetic of all your I feel like all
- 32:27Speaker 1: your art, everything just flows together right, and I feel
- 32:30Speaker 1: like it was only right. And I pay attention to
- 32:32Speaker 1: the comments too, as far as like with the fans
- 32:35Speaker 1: be wanting from me and stuff, and they always preached
- 32:37Speaker 1: about Larry Jones. I got a heavy fan base in
- 32:40Speaker 1: the Bay, so it was perfect. You guys do a swap.
- 32:43Speaker 1: No we didn't. We didn't not yet you gotta do
- 32:46Speaker 1: one for him, now, yeah, that's inevitab. We definitely gonna
- 32:48Speaker 1: cook up some more. Even he just he just popped
- 32:51Speaker 1: out of my Ja's residency at the in Vegas. Right.
- 32:55Speaker 1: I forgot you're doing now, yeah, you're rich. What do
- 32:59Speaker 1: we talking about? You're you gotta They don't be giving
- 33:02Speaker 1: Dre's residencies. They no lightweights out here. We're building the relationships.
- 33:06Speaker 1: That's all I could say. How is it like doing
- 33:09Speaker 1: because I've been to Dre's a million times, and when
- 33:13Speaker 1: you perform at Dre's, you're performing for your fans, but
- 33:16Speaker 1: you're also performing for just like tourists that are in town. Right,
- 33:19Speaker 1: So is it different like when you do a Dre's show?
- 33:22Speaker 1: Like how because is it kind of like doing a
- 33:24Speaker 1: club show or is it it's like that pocket right
- 33:28Speaker 1: in the middle of a like an actual show in
- 33:31Speaker 1: a club show, but the crowd it felt like it
- 33:33Speaker 1: was nothing but blast fans up in there the way
- 33:35Speaker 1: that was screaming word for word. How often are you
- 33:38Speaker 1: doing it. Well, we just did the first one earlier
- 33:42Speaker 1: this year. I have another residence residency out there right
- 33:46Speaker 1: now at daylight. But we're cooking up right now. We're
- 33:49Speaker 1: just building a relationship for the most part. Do you
- 33:50Speaker 1: gamble when you're in Vegas? Slightly at the tables? What
- 33:54Speaker 1: do you play? Though? Cras Craps is the best funniest
- 33:57Speaker 1: game you could win, really one when you lose him though,
- 34:00Speaker 1: because you can lose fast exactly, Man Craps, You'll be
- 34:04Speaker 1: fucking on a run and they'd be like, let me
- 34:06Speaker 1: buy all the fucking numbers. That's seven in Still. Yeah,

- 34:11Speaker 1: play sale. You know who's really good at crabs. Who
- 34:13Speaker 1: taught me was DJ Head. He's a degenerate gambler. He
- 34:15Speaker 1: would never let you picture him gambling, of course, not
- 34:19Speaker 1: because he's perfect, but he is a that is his
- 34:21Speaker 1: one black mark. He got something on him. He's a gambler.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Motherfucker on the trap table. It's like watching Tiger Woods
- 34:28Speaker 1: play golf. That's crazy. I just I never knew how
- 34:31Speaker 1: to play crabs until me and Head went to Vegas
- 34:32Speaker 1: and it was like watching art. Yeah, he's amazing. At crabs.
- 34:36Speaker 1: I don't know if you could be good at craps,
