  SPEAKER_01: Strong C V.
• 1:02
  SPEAKER_01: I remember once.
• 1:02
  SPEAKER_01: I don't mate, remember my C V.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_01: Sunland went to League One.
• 1:08
SPEAKER_01: Barnes were in League One.

SPEAKER_01: I was like, this is the class.
• 1:10
SPEAKER_01: Used to be like Sunderland Prem, Barnesy Champ.
• 1:14
  SPEAKER_01: One you're like, that's a distant CV.
• 1:16
SPEAKER_01: Don't always let it down.
• 1:17
SPEAKER_01: The only thing you get though, then it's just that.
• 1:19
SPEAKER_01: Down and down and down and Deathman.
• 1:21
SPEAKER_01: Um we recorded Dolly last week.
• 1:24
SPEAKER_01: Bro, we're not going to give anything away, but it'll be coming out in the upcoming weeks, and you've got to get on it.
• 1:28
SPEAKER_01: If you thought the bus head, Tales of a Kip Man was good, the physio, very, very good as well.
• 1:34
SPEAKER_00: It's very good, and he's just such a good lad, and I really enjoyed it.
• 1:37
SPEAKER_01: So before we go into the intro, etc., should we get Carl United out of the way right now?
• 1:42
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:43
  SPEAKER_00: Let's go.
• 1:44
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:44
  SPEAKER_00: Go on then.
• 1:46
SPEAKER_01: Do you want me to start?
• 1:47
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because you're like a region beast animal.
• 1:51
  SPEAKER_00: I'm alright now.
• 1:52
SPEAKER_01: I've had a couple of days to digest it.
• 1:56
SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna surprise you here.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_01: Decent enough season on account of how horrendous the last two or three have been.
• 2:05
  SPEAKER_01: So we've regrouped.
• 2:07
SPEAKER_01: There seems to be a bit of heart in the team.
• 2:09
SPEAKER_01: I know I'm asking for the bare minimum here, but it has been that bad the last two years through certain characters in the building and certain things that have gone on.
• 2:20
SPEAKER_01: But like probably every other supporter, when you've got 13, whatever, thousand there, and the other team, how good they are are coming off the back of 120 minutes.
• 2:30
SPEAKER_01: And when you study the body language of the players, when they get to Burton Park going, wow, you've got to hit them hard first 12 minutes.
• 2:38
SPEAKER_00: And it was a total opposite, wasn't it?
• 2:39
SPEAKER_00: I was sat with you.
• 2:41
SPEAKER_00: Um the atmosphere beforehand, and as the players come out was phenomenal.
• 2:47
SPEAKER_00: Um everything was good, and then the game started, and Kyler just retreated.
• 2:52
SPEAKER_00: And I just think when you've got such a big following, you've got to use it to your advantage by how you start start the game.
• 3:02
SPEAKER_00: I used to play, I go back to when I played for Barrow, Holker Street's a lot smaller, but when it was full, which is I don't know, four or five thousand is how a lot.
• 3:08
SPEAKER_00: But when a stadium's full, however the capacity is, and you're the home team, and you've got to use it to your advantage.
• 3:14
  SPEAKER_00: It's happened.
• 3:14
SPEAKER_00: You just want to make a tackle.
• 3:15
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's how if you're not a tackle.
• 3:17
SPEAKER_00: Exactly, it's how you start, and like and and they're just retreated and they let them have the ball.
• 3:20
SPEAKER_00: And it don't get me wrong, my opinion is Boringwood are a better football team than Carlisle.
• 3:25
SPEAKER_00: Carlisle are a much bigger club than Boringwood, but as as two football teams, I think Boringwood are better now.
• 3:31
SPEAKER_00: But as you say, using the the crowd share advantage, you've got to be in the faces to start with, and just get the crowd on side and get the get the place lifted.
• 3:39
SPEAKER_00: It just sucked the life out of the crowd.
• 3:41
SPEAKER_00: I was in the crowd and I thought this is just the total opposite how you want to start.
• 3:45
SPEAKER_00: And then they just some of their players under pressure, yeah, and they were just getting it, they were passing it round, they were getting it out to the wingers who are the danger men, especially the lad on the left.
• 3:53
  SPEAKER_00: What's his name?
• 3:53
  SPEAKER_00: Um Malik Malik.
• 3:54
  SPEAKER_00: Malik.
• 3:55
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, be up the park.
• 3:57
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he was he was a threat, but they kept letting him get the ball.
• 3:59
SPEAKER_00: Now, what I seen from Carlisle was their only hope was we need to either get Linny on the ball or Ajiboy on the ball, and hopefully they produce something.
• 4:07
SPEAKER_00: That's been the that's been the game plan the full season for me.
• 4:09
SPEAKER_00: But they're so deep they can't do it.
• 4:11
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and that like you say, I don't know what else they were looking at, and they were just so much more comfortable in every position on the ball.
• 4:17
SPEAKER_00: And I was a bit shocked to be honest, but I was really impressed by them.
• 4:20
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I honestly I couldn't believe that if that was a game plan, that was how what they were gonna do.
• 4:26
SPEAKER_01: They've had about three weeks when they knew that they were gonna finish for three, four weeks to kind of build up to this point, selling tickets on Twitter, get down, support the blues, fireworks, flags, a lot.
• 4:36
SPEAKER_01: Oh, they were unreal, and then the first half an hour, just go and sit and let them get their foot in the ball.
• 4:42
  SPEAKER_01: Like, honestly, I couldn't believe a player.
• 4:44
SPEAKER_01: The last thing you need for Bournemouth, the the most thing you want is a touch on the ball, isn't it?
• 4:48
SPEAKER_01: And every player had about six touches in the first five minutes, and they all just went, right, we're alright now.
• 4:54
SPEAKER_01: And see, you talk about tiredness, they play 120 minutes during the week.
• 4:57
SPEAKER_01: But see, see the first 20 when they've got loads of touches and stuff, tiredness is gone.
• 5:02
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 5:02
SPEAKER_01: They're thinking, right, we're in the game here, they're sitting offers, we can go do what we're doing.
• 5:06
  SPEAKER_01: I don't think we're fit enough.
• 5:08
SPEAKER_01: Off or not, or we're not athletic enough.
• 5:11
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
• 5:11
  SPEAKER_01: Is it fitness athletic?
• 5:12
SPEAKER_01: Because four of ours went down at the same time, yeah.
• 5:15
  SPEAKER_01: But it's Bowlwood you're playing though.
• 5:17
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 5:18
SPEAKER_01: Like, I get like if you're going and playing like top top teams where if you press them, you'll get picked off and get beat four or five.
• 5:24
SPEAKER_01: But you're playing Bowwood who decent on the ball, but there's gonna be mistakes.
• 5:28
SPEAKER_01: Put anyone under pressure, you'll make mistakes.
• 5:30
SPEAKER_01: Do you remember coming into a big game though?
• 5:32
SPEAKER_01: The the the build up all week, does that not take a bit out of you?
• 5:36
SPEAKER_01: I know it's good for the club, but the constant update of um tickets sold, the constant social media presence now.
• 5:42
SPEAKER_01: Some players, not me, some players don't like that, and the adrenaline is being used all week, and then it just as the game comes, comes out.
• 5:48
SPEAKER_01: Now I know I know what you're saying, but I don't think well for me, every time they've played one of the teams at the top decent on the ball, they've had the same game plan.
• 5:58
SPEAKER_01: They sit off, let them have the ball, be hard to beat, and then hopefully one or two boys up top come up with a bit of magic.
• 6:04
SPEAKER_01: So it's not really the boys look drained, they look they just it must have been the game plan to just go and frustrate them and be hard to beat.
• 6:12
SPEAKER_01: And like you said, they come and suck you in and pick you off, so that's probably subconsciously in the mind, the lads.
• 6:19
SPEAKER_00: It's not it's a different game, like we it it's a it's an it's an unusually massive crowd, like you say, they build up everything.
• 6:25
SPEAKER_00: That first 15-20 minutes is just so important to knock them out of the stride, yeah, like and not let them do that and just be total opposite how they started, be as up the pitch, all of you get in the faces, but you even got the the the the the deepest midfielder, he's getting it turning, his head's up, he's taking another touch, and he's still not getting closed down.
• 6:47
SPEAKER_00: You're like, how can that be?
• 6:48
SPEAKER_00: That's an absolute dream for a midfielder.
• 6:50
SPEAKER_01: Oh, on that on a circle.
• 6:51
SPEAKER_01: It's that big it's what you dream of.
• 6:53
SPEAKER_01: You know how big the occasion is in the game, get a chance to get to Wembley, and you're getting loads of touches and finding your finding your path, finding your range.
• 7:00
SPEAKER_01: I don't know if you watched it though, but how good were they?
• 7:02
SPEAKER_01: They found this extra man all the time.
• 7:04
  SPEAKER_01: Extra went through it.
• 7:05
SPEAKER_01: The lad at the back, Bush, he should go down with cramp.
• 7:08
SPEAKER_01: He must have had the ball more than anyone, but he didn't just uh pass it sideways, he was a people they were a good team.
• 7:14
SPEAKER_01: Uh Tom White, ex-Carlisle, love him, nasty little bastard.
• 7:19
SPEAKER_01: And he absolutely got on to like hammered his own players if they made a mistake or if they looked like they were going out, he's onto the bench going, he's knack I'd get them off.
• 7:27
SPEAKER_01: Like just didn't control it from the picture.
• 7:29
SPEAKER_00: We said, didn't we, in the first half, look how well coached they are.
• 7:32
SPEAKER_00: Um, and that's massive credit to that manager who I who I like a lot.
• 7:35
SPEAKER_00: Um, and he's so animated on the side, he's involved with everything they do, isn't he?
• 7:40
SPEAKER_00: Um, and he's onto them when they're not doing certain things that he wants them to do, and the next time they'll do it.
• 7:45
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know what I mean?
• 7:46
SPEAKER_00: Um, and unfortunately I didn't see that from from Carl's manager.
• 7:51
SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I just think the first 30-35 minutes was so disappointing, and they just look straight ahead of us as as a football team.
• 8:01
SPEAKER_00: And now you get it sort of gets masked by how many fans are there, what's going on in the fanzone, and all that's great.
• 8:08
SPEAKER_00: What they've done off the pitch is amazing.
• 8:10
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, um, the way they've they've done out all the East Stand and stuff, and and the match day experience is good, but when you just put in when you're just draw all that back and you go football team against football team, they were so much better.
• 8:25
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, uh well, I've got something here.
• 8:28
SPEAKER_01: Georgia Kelly, five months ago, we shouldn't be dominated 2-0 against Bowlwood away.
• 8:34
SPEAKER_01: And that was obviously the the interview he came out and said that we don't look coached, they're much better coached than the way they play and stuff like that.
• 8:41
SPEAKER_01: He wants chances, doesn't he?
• 8:43
SPEAKER_01: Stick him in the ball and wood.
• 8:44
SPEAKER_01: How many balls did they go across that?
• 8:45
SPEAKER_01: And he would just be on the end of the first half that ball across.
• 8:48
SPEAKER_01: The lad was the other winger, just didn't have that strike as in.
• 8:51
SPEAKER_00: I think you said to me in the first half, if they could just get that final, there could be three or four or much they were actually class, but then off it, the last passage.
• 9:00
SPEAKER_01: I was like, this they nearly walked it in at one point.
• 9:02
SPEAKER_01: He got the wrong pass to put it.
• 9:05
SPEAKER_01: But that was five months ago, yeah, yeah, and nothing's changed.
• 9:08
SPEAKER_01: Nothing, it's the exact same game.
• 9:09
SPEAKER_01: And you think, well, you've done that against all the top teams where you've sat in and eventually you've got beat.
• 9:15
SPEAKER_01: So with the crowd behind you, first 20 minutes, lads were going for it.
• 9:18
SPEAKER_01: So no gun hole, like that's man for man over the pitch, but at least put a bit of pressure on you.
• 9:22
SPEAKER_01: I mean, in their half, like make them make mistakes, get a corner, get a shot, get a goal.
• 9:26
SPEAKER_01: Crowd, 14,000 fans are like going mad, and they're thinking, right, winning a tie here.
• 9:31
SPEAKER_00: I felt a bit felini at times because he was getting the ball in positions where he doesn't want it, it's in his own half.
• 9:36
SPEAKER_00: He's thinking, I've got to get all the way up there, I've got to try and jinx in and out and basically do it on my own.
• 9:41
SPEAKER_00: You need him up as close to the final third where he can get in them and get his shot off the ball.
• 9:45
SPEAKER_01: I'm getting grief about his attitude, it's because he wants it.
• 9:48
SPEAKER_01: That Tom White, his attitude wasn't bad because he because he wants to, because he's a bit annoyed, doesn't get the point.
• 9:54
SPEAKER_01: But um, right, we're gonna go straight into it.
• 9:56
SPEAKER_01: Hughes, yes or no, stay.
• 9:57
SPEAKER_01: Do you want him to stay?
• 9:59
  SPEAKER_00: Me, no, I think it's I I would like to see a change.
• 10:02
  SPEAKER_00: Um if I'm honest.
• 10:05
SPEAKER_00: I just think that yeah, like like you said, it's been the season, they've got accumulate all these points, but when it's come when it's come to the to the crunch, I think they've been found wanting.
• 10:16
SPEAKER_00: Um I think they've been found wanting in a way that I don't think they necessarily haven't got the players.
• 10:22
SPEAKER_00: I just don't see a way of how they play.
• 10:24
SPEAKER_00: I just think they rely on the two best players to get on the ball and produce something.
• 10:28
SPEAKER_00: Um, and I don't think you're gonna get where you want to be, player like that.
• 10:32
SPEAKER_00: I think you've got to have a style of play.
• 10:33
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I agree.
• 10:35
SPEAKER_01: I thought regardless, even if they went up, the the they should be looking at a change, to be honest, and some something with a bit more identity about how you want to play.
• 10:44
SPEAKER_01: As you said, like it's kind of most of the league, you know.
• 10:48
SPEAKER_01: Well, let's Kaleo were always gonna be in the playoffs with a standard of the league.
• 10:52
SPEAKER_01: They were hoping to try win the league, but they were always gonna be in the playoffs, regardless.
• 10:56
SPEAKER_01: And then when it comes to crunch time, let's let's see what they're all about.
• 11:00
SPEAKER_01: And against the the teams at the top, they've they've not been good enough.
• 11:03
SPEAKER_01: Do you mean they've no they've no shown enough against these teams?
• 11:06
SPEAKER_01: You know, the weird thing is they probably if they keep this same team, the same squad, they'll probably finish well, they will finish first to third again next year.
• 11:15
  SPEAKER_00: 100% they will.
• 11:16
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 11:17
SPEAKER_01: So it's I can see the owners maybe saying, you know what, we've just got to add a couple.
• 11:20
SPEAKER_01: I think they need four players.
• 11:22
SPEAKER_01: Whatever, whoever comes in who've been there and done it, who'll play every week.
• 11:26
SPEAKER_01: Big hitters, release a few.
• 11:28
SPEAKER_01: Well, they've got Hayden out of contract, he'll go.
• 11:32
SPEAKER_01: Con Clark will go back if there's not a deal in place.
• 11:35
SPEAKER_01: Terrell Thomas, go for me.
• 11:38
  SPEAKER_01: Wike, happy retirement, yeah.
• 11:40
SPEAKER_01: Fair players from getting back and doing what he's done.
• 11:42
SPEAKER_01: He's been top class as in through his careers.
• 11:45
SPEAKER_01: Archie Davies, don't just know what happened with that, but he'll be let go.
• 11:49
SPEAKER_01: McCadam is out of contract, but they'll do the option, so he'll stay.
• 11:53
SPEAKER_01: Sam Murray, Bon, and Jake Allen, young lad, it's a shame, but injuries and stuff, and he's just the stuff that comes when he's up and promoted.
• 12:02
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's he's one of the young ones, isn't he?
• 12:03
  SPEAKER_00: It's tough for them, isn't it?
• 12:04
SPEAKER_00: The likes of him and Dan Hopper and stuff.
• 12:06
SPEAKER_00: We've had this sort of say this before that when they've not got like a sort of uh games behind them and an experience, and if they get released off Carlisle, what's next for them?
• 12:15
SPEAKER_00: Um and it's I think it's different when you live sort of in like Manchester area, or there's more options for them, but now it's it's all limited.
• 12:23
SPEAKER_00: But listen, really good young players, and and I wish them wish them the best, whether it's at Carlisle or something.
• 12:27
SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna give a shout out to Feeney, Linny, Armstrong, and Kelly.
• 12:31
SPEAKER_01: I thought they've done enough this, yeah.
• 12:33
SPEAKER_01: Seems like they they want it.
• 12:35
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 12:36
SPEAKER_01: Even I know that interview that Georgie done, probably the manager wouldn't have been too happy about, but there's a bit of passion there, do you know what I mean?
• 12:43
  SPEAKER_01: That's it.
• 12:43
SPEAKER_01: He wants more as well.
• 12:44
SPEAKER_01: I reckon when he's in his rehab, he didn't miss a day, like didn't miss a minute.
• 12:48
SPEAKER_01: No, he's caught like he is to be fair.
• 12:50
SPEAKER_01: He's an intelligent boy and he he works hard like in the gym and stuff, like he does all his own rehab and he's he's he's all in football.
• 12:57
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 12:57
SPEAKER_01: Feeney excellent at the weekend, a captain, love all that.
• 13:01
SPEAKER_01: He couldn't do any more, could he?
• 13:02
SPEAKER_00: I mean, he's even playing Montours on the edge of the box tickets back in it and and things like that, but he was yeah but they're probably wanting a wee bit more from the management team as well, probably.
• 13:11
SPEAKER_01: I think that as well.
• 13:11
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like they're no bad team.
• 13:15
SPEAKER_01: They're not a bad team, but they just probably and again we're not getting back to kind of like right get Hughes out and get somebody to come in and play total soccer and now because the contrast can be quite tough.
• 13:27
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but see if you get somebody in and add a few, and somebody's gonna be like, right lads, this is how we're gonna play and give them something.
• 13:34
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 13:34
SPEAKER_01: Like you've got good players there, but then now it's just kind of it's just kind of percentage football, like what happens, like we try defending and get good lads up on the ball, do you know what I mean?
• 13:43
SPEAKER_00: To see if they can produce, but yeah, yeah, but I agree on them four differently.
• 13:48
SPEAKER_01: Alright then, so another episode, as I said, here at Warwick Road, new and used furniture.
• 13:54
  SPEAKER_01: Yep.
• 13:55
SPEAKER_01: Um, so yeah, episode whatever, fine.
• 13:58
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 14:19
SPEAKER_01: So, sponsor raw insurance brokers.
• 14:23
SPEAKER_01: So, raw insurance broker, Kingmore Park, they are based and Kendall.
• 14:27
SPEAKER_01: They provide business insurance for all sectors and industries with particular expertise in construction, engineering, real estate, and agriculture.
• 14:35
SPEAKER_01: The grassroots support they've given over the years is to Carlisle Rivers, Man vs.
• 14:40
SPEAKER_01: Fat, Carlisle Border Green's mental health team, Carlisle City's men and grassroots, Carl United Ladies and more.
• 14:48
SPEAKER_01: Carlisle United support has various sponsorships over the years.
• 14:51
SPEAKER_01: So both Stephen Ward and Ryan are mad Carl fans, and Wardie's son Lewis plays left wing or striker for the under-11s at Gretna and Crusaders Blues, and they've made a final at Brunton Park on the 23rd of May.
• 15:07
  SPEAKER_01: Good luck.
• 15:07
SPEAKER_01: That's the guy everyone's at the Brunton Park pitch the finals there, wouldn't it?
• 15:10
  SPEAKER_01: So he'll be there.
• 15:11
SPEAKER_01: All the best, Louis, for Crusaders Blues.
• 15:14
SPEAKER_01: Depends who you're playing, but I hope you do well.
• 15:17
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, good luck.
• 15:18
SPEAKER_01: Just in case we know the other team.
• 15:20
SPEAKER_01: Um what about uh National News, Booking.com, didn't know what I'd hit it at 3 pm on Sunday.
• 15:26
SPEAKER_01: And from your ins getting cancelled all over the left, right, and centre.
• 15:30
SPEAKER_01: I got up, final whistle went, I was on the stairs, I went to uh done.
• 15:34
SPEAKER_01: Ah, I felt like I'd made money.
• 15:36
SPEAKER_01: Went out and spent it.
• 15:37
  SPEAKER_01: That's when I spent it.
• 15:38
SPEAKER_01: Took the message to the cinema.
• 15:40
  SPEAKER_01: Two hot dogs.
• 15:41
  SPEAKER_01: Good job.
• 15:41
SPEAKER_01: You get that um you get that that cooler off period without a uh but I everyone was just like ah, are you cancelled or are you cancelled?
• 15:49
  SPEAKER_01: Someone said, I haven't cancelled yet.
• 15:50
SPEAKER_01: But question for the pod.
• 15:52
SPEAKER_01: At what point do we seriously question the owners?
• 15:56
SPEAKER_01: Who knows where we'd be without them, given the debt the club had?
• 15:59
SPEAKER_01: But I don't think we'd have fallen this low with the previous owners.
• 16:04
SPEAKER_01: This is their biggest summer yet.
• 16:05
SPEAKER_01: We need to see there is a plan in place, and people like TNE need to step up and deliver.
• 16:10
  SPEAKER_01: Next week is crucial.
• 16:11
SPEAKER_01: Who stays, who goes, and what happens with Hughes?
• 16:14
SPEAKER_01: I hope there's a plan already in place, but I won't hold my breath strong words.
• 16:21
SPEAKER_01: Well, as we said, in the next day or two, there's got to be uh you know the release list's gotta happen, and the manager's gotta be sorting out if he's staying or going, get it done as quickly as possible.
• 16:30
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, draw a line on Dream.
• 16:31
SPEAKER_01: The plan where recruitment should be ongoing.
• 16:33
SPEAKER_01: You would have had two lists if you went up, if you stayed behind, they should be in place and the ball rolling straight away.
• 16:40
  SPEAKER_01: I think the chairman's released a statement as we're recording.
• 16:44
SPEAKER_01: I think I'll know pretty much what they'll say, but probably the supporters need a little bit more convincing.
• 16:50
SPEAKER_01: But as you said, Skip, the steadied the shit, they've steadied the club.
• 16:54
SPEAKER_01: We we have they have uh made mistakes, which hopefully they're learning from.
• 16:59
SPEAKER_01: We've got to go up next year.
• 17:00
SPEAKER_01: Let's let's get some proper players in again.
• 17:03
SPEAKER_01: And I don't hate that saying go again because there has to be a look into what went wrong this season, but I just hope it's it's a it's a better year next year.
• 17:13
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean you've got you you have got to give them credit for what they've what they've brought to the sort of the table, as we've said, off the pitch, but um the guide I think they need a lot more advice and guidance for what goes on the pitch, don't they?
• 17:27
SPEAKER_00: Um I mean they're throwing the money about to start with.
• 17:32
SPEAKER_01: And how much money they were sort of thrown about is well we know agents who and players who are saying get me to call that.
• 17:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's how I mean wasn't to come and play.
• 17:39
  SPEAKER_00: Wasn't it and live.
• 17:41
SPEAKER_00: It was it was to get weighed in with money, yeah.
• 17:43
SPEAKER_00: Um and they can't be labelled as a club like that, so things like that they've got to learn from.
• 17:48
SPEAKER_00: But they've been it they've been at the club how long now?
• 17:51
SPEAKER_00: Three three years, it's it's yeah, I think it's sort of long enough now to realise what what's right and what's wrong, and like you say, if they do learn from uh from the mistakes and like you say they do have to go up the share, but they've done a lot right.
• 18:04
SPEAKER_00: Um I know you keep saying off the pitch, and it's not off the pitch that catch it up the leagues.
• 18:08
SPEAKER_00: Um but yeah, like you say, the manager situation has got to be settled in the next week.
• 18:14
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, who's staying and who's going has also got to be got to be done.
• 18:18
SPEAKER_00: And then like you say, what's the plan that's gonna be in place?
• 18:21
SPEAKER_00: And like what you just said there, fans are gonna need really convincing of what the actual plan is and and if it's sort of a realistic plan and then is it gonna work?
• 18:31
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I agree as well.
• 18:33
SPEAKER_01: It's they've done a lot, as we said, off the pitch and and to be fair to them on the pitch as well.
• 18:38
SPEAKER_01: Like they've put a good like on paper, do you know what I mean?
• 18:41
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they've not like they've put their hand in their pocket and obviously they put their trust in certain people behind the scenes to to go spend it wisely, and some have, some haven't.
• 18:50
SPEAKER_01: And again, football decisions isn't really down to them.
• 18:55
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 18:55
SPEAKER_01: They can uh try now, give the money and let them spend it, and that's probably where the the question marks have been where are they getting enough for their money?
• 19:04
  SPEAKER_01: Probably not on paper.
• 19:05
SPEAKER_01: Where when you've got teams like Bullwood, they're coming and dominating.
• 19:08
SPEAKER_01: So they're the bit should be between their teeth and go, you know what, but what's the difference so then the question would be what's the difference between the two clubs?
• 19:16
SPEAKER_01: Nothing because the money the money usually is where the legaliser, I suppose.
• 19:21
SPEAKER_01: Like the ones that spend the most are usually near the top.
• 19:24
SPEAKER_01: So Norman could have the perfect storm with a good manager, a couple of players because they're gonna lose them players, whatever happens.
• 19:29
  SPEAKER_01: But this year, fantastic.
• 19:32
SPEAKER_01: Fans probably enjoying watching it and getting behind the team and a bit of passion.
• 19:36
SPEAKER_01: I mean, even this year, Kaleo obviously racked up a lot of points.
• 19:40
SPEAKER_01: But how many times during the season the fans are like don't like to watch it, don't enjoy watching it.
• 19:44
SPEAKER_01: The players are coming out not enjoying playing in it.
• 19:47
SPEAKER_01: So and that's not right when you're winning and you're up to the top of Z, it shouldn't be like that.
• 19:52
SPEAKER_01: No, right, let's have some fun.
• 19:54
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, anyway, a quick shout out to a cracking effort yesterday in Borough, Middlesbrough, from a few lads we coached.
• 20:01
SPEAKER_01: They were playing a year up and got to the final.
• 20:03
SPEAKER_01: So Toby Swales, Charlie Mahoney, John Thomas Hegge, Joseph Nicholson, George Bradley, and Archie Johnston.
• 20:10
SPEAKER_01: Well done, boys, and keep at it.
• 20:12
SPEAKER_01: We have a lot of them on a Monday night.
• 20:14
SPEAKER_00: I believe, yeah, and I believe they're a right good, um, right good bunch of kids and have got a real good team.
• 20:19
SPEAKER_00: And I do follow Adam on um on social media and you see they're doing really well.
• 20:23
  SPEAKER_00: And um, yeah.
• 20:24
  SPEAKER_00: Well done.
• 20:24
SPEAKER_00: Keep going, boys, and well done.
• 20:26
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 20:26
SPEAKER_01: We've had a little um message in from Kirsty Louise Stone.
• 20:30
SPEAKER_01: Hi, lads, this pod is golden.
• 20:32
SPEAKER_01: Nice to hear the truth behind being a pro and all the rubbish that happens behind the scenes.
• 20:36
SPEAKER_01: But if you ever run out of stories, you could run a dad's advice podcast.
• 20:41
  SPEAKER_01: I don't think so.
• 20:41
SPEAKER_01: I think we're gonna be starting asking people for uh I need to get my my daughter out of Asda.
• 20:48
SPEAKER_01: She just goes to the toy because she expects toy every time I go in there.
• 20:50
SPEAKER_00: Well, my missus is going to Edinburgh at the weekend on Saturday all day, and I've got Sophia all day, which is fine.
• 20:55
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, What do you want to do?
• 20:56
SPEAKER_00: And it was Smith's Toys.
• 20:57
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, we can't spend all day in Smith's Toys.
• 20:59
SPEAKER_01: Well, the only one next door, or we're not BM's.
• 21:02
  SPEAKER_00: Um BM.
• 21:03
SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I've got to sort of try and get that out of her because she just thinks I'm uh well, she knows I'm I'm wrapped around a little thing.
• 21:10
SPEAKER_00: So I'll probably end up in Smith's Toys, so I don't know what long did Sophia last at the game?
• 21:14
SPEAKER_00: Er, well, interested, about four minutes, and then she lasted till half time, and then I was trying to get her back up and she was having none of it.
• 21:22
SPEAKER_00: But she enjoyed waving the flag, she enjoyed the fireworks and stuff like that.
• 21:24
SPEAKER_00: A bit of a roar, and then the game started, she's like, She didn't have a clue what was going on.
• 21:29
SPEAKER_00: Then I heard YouTube's videos getting louder.
• 21:32
  SPEAKER_00: So loud.
• 21:33
SPEAKER_00: Luckily for me, your missus was there, she took it down for an ice cream and stuff, and then at halftime and said, Were you gonna come back up?
• 21:37
SPEAKER_00: And she was like, half ten kills and then I no chance.
• 21:43
  SPEAKER_01: Right, who am I?
• 21:45
SPEAKER_01: Two and a half to one and a half.
• 21:46
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right.
• 21:50
  SPEAKER_01: Sorted you out.
• 21:51
SPEAKER_01: Right, anyway, I'm gonna get to a certain point and then you're gonna ring the bell, and then we answer if you can, and if you don't, we go to the End and if you get it, it's half a point each.
• 22:01
SPEAKER_01: If not, I'll get a point if you can't get it.
• 22:03
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 22:04
  SPEAKER_01: Born in Shro right.
• 22:05
  SPEAKER_01: So who am I?
• 22:06
SPEAKER_01: Born in Shropshire in 1981.
• 22:08
SPEAKER_01: This player joined Hibbs in 2004, making his debut in April in a 3-0 win.
• 22:15
  SPEAKER_01: 43 goals in 156 games later.
• 22:19
SPEAKER_01: Earned him a move to Burnley, where his first competitive goals came in a League Cup win v Hartleypool.
• 22:25
SPEAKER_01: After Burnley were relegated to the championship, a 6.5 pound move to Wolves followed.
• 22:34
  SPEAKER_01: Oh no.
• 22:35
  SPEAKER_01: Killing McGee up.
• 22:36
  SPEAKER_01: To Wolves.
• 22:37
  SPEAKER_01: You got it, Scared?
• 22:38
SPEAKER_00: No, I was gonna say.
• 22:39
  SPEAKER_01: You're forgetting I'm born in the 90s.
• 22:41
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 22:41
  SPEAKER_01: You're taking next.
• 22:45
  SPEAKER_01: We ready?
• 22:45
  SPEAKER_01: Not got it?
• 22:46
  SPEAKER_01: No.
• 22:46
  SPEAKER_01: Obviously not.
• 22:47
SPEAKER_01: 22 goals and 61 matches for Wolves before forcing a move to Sunderland for£12 million.
• 22:53
SPEAKER_01: 23 goals and 94 appearances for the Black Cats with a loan spell at Marseille followed for a move to Championship Seth Wedd.
• 23:02
SPEAKER_01: Stoke City and two other clubs brought the curtain down.
• 23:06
SPEAKER_01: No, you should have it by now.
• 23:08
  SPEAKER_01: I know it.
• 23:09
  SPEAKER_01: Dundee United.
• 23:11
  SPEAKER_01: 660 matches, 171 goals.
• 23:16
  SPEAKER_01: It's rubbish.
• 23:18
  SPEAKER_00: I'm terrible at these.
• 23:19
SPEAKER_00: Who wants to take it on?
• 23:20
  SPEAKER_00: Me.
• 23:20
  SPEAKER_00: He's left footed.
• 23:21
SPEAKER_00: Um he's been at Wrexham has um the center.
• 23:25
  SPEAKER_00: I sent a forward.
• 23:26
SPEAKER_00: Man, left, left I'm gonna give you 10 seconds.
• 23:30
  SPEAKER_00: Left foot.
• 23:33
SPEAKER_00: You're gonna kick yourself in off.
• 23:36
  SPEAKER_01: I said Larpey.
• 23:37
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know why I said Larpey.
• 23:38
  SPEAKER_01: Larpey.
• 23:39
SPEAKER_00: I know it, I know it is.
• 23:40
SPEAKER_01: Three, I know it is Fletcher.
• 23:44
SPEAKER_01: Fletcher, Stephen, I knew it was Steve.
• 23:46
SPEAKER_01: Ah! You should know that, Dylan.
• 23:48
SPEAKER_01: You should have told me he was Scottish.
• 23:49
SPEAKER_01: Well, I knew you'd get it, but he was born in Scottish.
• 23:52
SPEAKER_01: No, but you should have said Scottish if you knew it.
• 23:54
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, right, right.
• 23:54
  SPEAKER_01: I didn't Shrewsbury, Stropsford in Scotland.
• 23:57
SPEAKER_01: That's the only thing I thought I'd get you with.
• 23:59
SPEAKER_01: Because if I said if I didn't put that in, I thought you would have had it.
• 24:02
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I actually thought when you when you said Latapey?
• 24:07
  SPEAKER_01: Is he?
• 24:08
SPEAKER_01: Do you know you think Stroxford is?
• 24:10
SPEAKER_01: I don't even know what it was, to be honest.
• 24:11
  SPEAKER_01: I didn't I forgot about that part.
• 24:13
  SPEAKER_01: Right, Stephen Fletcher.
• 24:14
SPEAKER_01: So that's two and a half each.
• 24:16
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 24:17
SPEAKER_01: The Bunley one threw me off.
• 24:19
  SPEAKER_01: I knew Will's.
• 24:20
  SPEAKER_01: Next one.
• 24:22
SPEAKER_01: Born in 1986, this player started his career at Manchester City and made his debut in September 2005 against Bolton Wanderers, coming on the 81st minute.
• 24:32
SPEAKER_01: In his first ever Premier League game, he was awarded the Man of the Match Award, starring against Everton.
• 24:37
SPEAKER_01: In 2009, he was named Manchester City's senior player of the season and secured a new five-year deal.
• 24:44
SPEAKER_01: In 2009, Mark Hughes was sacked and Roberto Mancini replaced him and signed a host of players from Europe which restricted playing time for our man.
• 24:53
SPEAKER_01: After 138 games and 16 goals for City, a transfer to Aston Villa was completed with part of the deal taking James Milner the other way.
• 25:03
SPEAKER_01: After a sore start, he was loaned to Newcastle United, where he only played twice.
• 25:12
SPEAKER_01: Decent Stephen Island, isn't it?
• 25:15
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 25:15
  SPEAKER_01: Nice.
• 25:16
  unknown: Yeah.
• 25:17
  SPEAKER_01: Nice.
• 25:18
  SPEAKER_01: Dickhead.
• 25:19
SPEAKER_01: I went and got that.
• 25:20
SPEAKER_01: On his return to Villa.
• 25:21
  SPEAKER_01: Just snapped his leg.
• 25:22
SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm getting on to this.
• 25:23
  SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
• 25:24
SPEAKER_01: On his return to Villa, he improved and won the 2011-12 Player of the Year, but soon fell out with Paul Lambert.
• 25:30
SPEAKER_01: A bit funny one, Lamba.
• 25:31
SPEAKER_01: He used to fall out with people loved him on.
• 25:33
SPEAKER_01: In 2013, he left for Stoke City.
• 25:36
SPEAKER_01: 46 appearances in four years.
• 25:38
  SPEAKER_01: That's poor, innit?
• 25:39
  SPEAKER_01: 46 appearances in 1840.
• 25:40
SPEAKER_01: He just fizzled out, didn't he?
• 25:42
SPEAKER_01: Brought the down the curtain on a turbulent career.
• 25:44
  SPEAKER_01: 246 games, 19 goals.
• 25:47
SPEAKER_01: As you say, Steven Ireland, injury at the weekend.
• 25:51
  SPEAKER_01: I won't watch it because I've I've read that in it.
• 25:54
  SPEAKER_01: You can hear us.
• 25:56
SPEAKER_01: I watched it this morning, it's brutal.
• 25:57
  SPEAKER_01: Stephen Island.
• 25:58
  SPEAKER_01: Good player.
• 25:59
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, good player.
• 26:00
  SPEAKER_00: Um do we?
• 26:05
SPEAKER_00: Three and a half, two and a half.
• 26:06
  SPEAKER_01: Well done.
• 26:07
  SPEAKER_01: Premier League.
• 26:08
SPEAKER_01: Arsenal have won the league.
• 26:10
  SPEAKER_01: It's done, isn't it?
• 26:11
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's done.
• 26:13
  SPEAKER_01: Is it?
• 26:15
  SPEAKER_01: Is it not?
• 26:16
  SPEAKER_01: Well.
• 26:16
SPEAKER_01: The fixture lists kind of.
• 26:17
SPEAKER_01: Oh, they were good against Fulham as well.
• 26:20
SPEAKER_01: See if they won the league and get to the Champions League final.
• 26:22
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, it's tonight, isn't it?
• 26:23
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 26:23
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 26:24
  SPEAKER_01: Second leg, yeah.
• 26:26
  SPEAKER_01: It's a big week for them.
• 26:27
SPEAKER_01: It's a really big week for them.
• 26:31
  SPEAKER_01: It's a lot of them.
• 26:31
  SPEAKER_01: Can't go.
• 26:32
  SPEAKER_01: It's all beach course, it's Gabriel.
• 26:35
SPEAKER_01: It's uh the fans, the fans.
• 26:38
  SPEAKER_01: Declan Rice.
• 26:39
  SPEAKER_01: Arsenal TV.
• 26:40
SPEAKER_01: Making sure the cameras are on.
• 26:41
  SPEAKER_01: I like Declan.
• 26:42
  SPEAKER_01: It's not over.
• 26:43
SPEAKER_01: But we need to keep Declan right for the World Cup.
• 26:48
  unknown: I know.
• 26:48
SPEAKER_01: Race care in your 20s.
• 26:50
  SPEAKER_01: Torture for us.
• 26:51
  SPEAKER_01: I'll be in bed.
• 26:51
  SPEAKER_01: I'll start work early.
• 26:55
SPEAKER_01: So we think in Tottenham have had a great result.
• 26:58
SPEAKER_01: West Ham back in it.
• 27:00
  SPEAKER_01: West Ham are gone.
• 27:00
  SPEAKER_01: Do you reckon?
• 27:01
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 27:01
  SPEAKER_01: Tottenham are still.
• 27:04
  SPEAKER_01: He did, I know.
• 27:05
SPEAKER_01: I've seen that and but it looks like it's coming right, isn't it?
• 27:07
SPEAKER_01: I think fixtures wise as well.
• 27:09
  SPEAKER_01: I think Tottenham's fixtures are alright.
• 27:11
SPEAKER_01: West Ham have got like Newcastle, Arsenal.
• 27:13
SPEAKER_01: I didn't say them being Villa away mine, but great result.
• 27:17
SPEAKER_01: Do you want to do Scottish football?
• 27:20
  SPEAKER_01: Hibbs got it.
• 27:22
  SPEAKER_01: Hibs, yeah.
• 27:24
SPEAKER_01: I think Celtic walked away with three points, didn't they?
• 27:26
SPEAKER_01: There was a lot of talk about lying down, weren't there?
• 27:29
SPEAKER_01: Because they don't want obviously Hearts winning the league, but they gave a good account I sell, but doubt of ten men Celtic got a job done.
• 27:36
  SPEAKER_01: I think I still think.
• 27:38
SPEAKER_01: So who's it next week?
• 27:39
  SPEAKER_01: Rangers Celtic?
• 27:40
  SPEAKER_01: Sunday, yeah.
• 27:41
  SPEAKER_00: Celtic Rangers.
• 27:42
SPEAKER_00: So it's uh is it Celtic Celtic Rangers?
• 27:44
SPEAKER_01: And then Hearts have got they play in the Saturday, I think.
• 27:46
  SPEAKER_01: Motherwell, yeah.
• 27:47
  SPEAKER_01: Saturday coming.
• 27:48
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 27:49
  SPEAKER_01: Rangers are gone now.
• 27:50
SPEAKER_01: Rangers are out, Rangers can't win it.
• 27:52
SPEAKER_01: What time Saturday's games three ish cancel that above the bar.
• 27:55
SPEAKER_01: I meant to be going with all right.
• 27:56
SPEAKER_01: I need to watch the Scottish football.
• 28:00
SPEAKER_01: Surely Rangers are going to be bang up for trying to stop and then winning the league, you know.
• 28:03
SPEAKER_01: This is one for you.
• 28:04
SPEAKER_01: Do you see the boy sent a half for Rangers last night?
• 28:06
SPEAKER_01: So basically they get beat, and that I think they can't win the league now.
• 28:10
SPEAKER_01: Like there's seven behind behind three games to go, seven behind, and Celtic and Hearts played each other.
• 28:15
SPEAKER_01: But the boy Jigger, I think his name is, set a half after the game, final whistle just went the hearts striker, high fives, laughing away.
• 28:23
  SPEAKER_01: No way.
• 28:24
SPEAKER_01: Seen it on Twitter saying and they were saying, like, what would Water Smith say about this?
• 28:27
  SPEAKER_01: So you're a ranger set a half.
• 28:29
SPEAKER_01: You've literally just been beat to put you out of the league with three games to go, and he's laughing and joking with the striker.
• 28:34
SPEAKER_01: Your head must be a good thing.
• 28:36
SPEAKER_01: This isn't even old school.
• 28:37
SPEAKER_01: It's like, come on, man.
• 28:38
SPEAKER_01: You imagine Barry Ferguson's and that, like a Water Smith'd Have they seen one in the centre half?
• 28:43
SPEAKER_01: You don't want to play again.
• 28:45
SPEAKER_01: You would never play again.
• 28:46
SPEAKER_01: People say, Oh, it's different, but that can't be different.
• 28:48
SPEAKER_01: That can't be the way of it.
• 28:48
SPEAKER_01: Like you can't be Do you think the money it's because they're settled now?
• 28:52
SPEAKER_01: Do you think it's that or just it's a just I don't think they live and breeze everyone knows each other now, don't you?
• 28:57
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what it is?
• 28:58
SPEAKER_01: Like they they it's too easy just to when the sign saying oh we are the people or a Celtic, whatever the whatever your weak tag thing is, right?
• 29:05
SPEAKER_01: And they put that in every post and the fans all love it.
• 29:07
SPEAKER_01: Ah he gets what he gets it, he gets it.
• 29:09
SPEAKER_01: That's that's when you you know that they don't get it.
• 29:12
SPEAKER_01: They don't get it, yeah.
• 29:12
  SPEAKER_01: They don't get it.
• 29:13
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 29:14
SPEAKER_01: Like not all not everyone, but they don't get it.
• 29:16
SPEAKER_01: You you can't like literally the final whistle just went and you're all high fives, laughing and joking, like covering your mouth, like laughing and stuff.
• 29:21
SPEAKER_01: You've just been beat for it.
• 29:23
SPEAKER_01: Like if Rangers won last night, they were probably one of my favourites for the league.
• 29:27
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, 100%.
• 29:27
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what it was massive?
• 29:29
SPEAKER_01: So it was huge, and then I honestly my head was gone with it.
• 29:32
  SPEAKER_01: No, I mean if you're a Rangers fan.
• 29:33
SPEAKER_01: I was uh getting updates because I was at the Michael Jackson film decent.
• 29:36
SPEAKER_00: Talking to social media, did you see Josh Windows put the worst day of my life as a professional football player?
• 29:41
SPEAKER_00: Just missed out on the playoffs and Hull got in.
• 29:43
SPEAKER_00: Ollie McBurney likes us today.
• 29:46
SPEAKER_00: I was like, he scored a nice free kick as well, didn't he?
• 29:49
SPEAKER_01: Why does Josh Windows hate Hull though?
• 29:51
  SPEAKER_01: Because his dad.
• 29:52
SPEAKER_00: No, no, like it was being them two to get in the playoffs.
• 29:54
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, right.
• 29:55
  SPEAKER_00: Oh god.
• 29:55
SPEAKER_00: And they've got in the worst day after the season it's been and all that, just to miss out.
• 30:00
SPEAKER_00: And Hull just got in, and Oli McBurney obviously plays for Hull, and he's he's liked it.
• 30:03
SPEAKER_00: I was just safe, unlucky.
• 30:04
SPEAKER_01: Football in general, Hugo Aston, my mate.
• 30:08
SPEAKER_01: So Sam Aston, I played it Sunland with him, and he went to like Satramia, Shrewsbury, etc.
• 30:13
SPEAKER_01: Settled in Shrewsbury, and his 15-year-old son uh made his debut for Shrewsbury at the weekend, came on as in 87.
• 30:19
SPEAKER_01: Seen that he knows so Sam knows the game and he knows off the pitch.
• 30:24
SPEAKER_01: I went, Sam, how bitter have the apprentices ma'ams WhatsApp?
• 30:29
  SPEAKER_01: Dad's gone.
• 30:30
SPEAKER_01: He went, Oh, it would have been poison.
• 30:32
SPEAKER_01: How's he playing instead of you know what I mean?
• 30:34
SPEAKER_01: Because he's he's made to the manager, but I've seen Hugo play like thrown in quick.
• 30:40
SPEAKER_01: It's a bit like his dad, but he's got a better touch.
• 30:43
SPEAKER_01: But uh, speaking of Sam, so Sam was only like 19, I was 17, and he lived on his own with his brother.
• 30:48
SPEAKER_01: So he lived in a flat in Benwell, Newcastle.
• 30:51
SPEAKER_01: Benwell used to train there.
• 30:52
SPEAKER_00: School boys rough, rough, yeah.
• 30:55
SPEAKER_01: So he's got in one day with the kit man, Harby Mick.
• 30:58
SPEAKER_01: So Hobby, so Mick Holland used to drop him off.
• 31:00
SPEAKER_01: But he goes, 'I'll come in for a cupper.' So he's gone ahead as Sam's getting like his bag out, and and and Nick's went, Sam, your doors open, like your doors open, and the area it's saying if your doors open, you're being done.
• 31:12
  SPEAKER_01: I don't even know.
• 31:12
SPEAKER_01: Mick walks upstairs, he went, Oh no, Sam, you've been absolutely ransacked.
• 31:17
SPEAKER_01: They've put everything, they've chucked food around, the mess.
• 31:20
SPEAKER_01: Oh close, you've got like your washing machine's gone.
• 31:24
SPEAKER_01: Sam came up and went.
• 31:25
SPEAKER_01: Oh, looks alright to be just normal, just normal.
• 31:30
SPEAKER_01: Two young kids living on their own.
• 31:33
SPEAKER_00: This is what we're living.
• 31:34
SPEAKER_01: He went, no, it's alright today.
• 31:36
  SPEAKER_01: Good eye.
• 31:37
  SPEAKER_01: Uh clown watch.
• 31:39
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'm sick of going on to Chelsea, but I'm gonna say getting Borrest's fourth choice team is a bit poor.
• 31:45
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it is.
• 31:46
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I've seen uh Forest Bench and you thought there's only gonna be one winner, but uh what have they lost six in a row?
• 31:51
SPEAKER_00: Is it talking through Palmer?
• 31:53
  SPEAKER_01: Palmer.
• 31:54
SPEAKER_01: I mentioned this by the way, about six episodes ago.
• 31:57
  SPEAKER_01: Cole Palmer.
• 31:58
SPEAKER_01: I was like, I'm not having it.
• 31:58
  SPEAKER_01: You're not having it?
• 31:59
  SPEAKER_01: Nah, not having it.
• 32:01
SPEAKER_01: I think he had one season when he was like unbelievable.
• 32:04
SPEAKER_01: He's got the World Cup to he.
• 32:06
SPEAKER_01: He he doesn't start, he doesn't start.
• 32:11
SPEAKER_01: He doesn't do enough, yeah.
• 32:12
SPEAKER_01: He doesn't like don't get me wrong, see when he's got the ball, he's quality, he's quality, but he's it's not enough, like it's too relaxed, and you see it like when you're not winning when you win the game, your relaxed style looks class.
• 32:26
SPEAKER_01: When you don't win the game, it can be picked up on yeah.
• 32:29
SPEAKER_00: Do you think he's that much of a like space cadet though?
• 32:31
SPEAKER_00: Like he's walks about like I don't I can't be like he's walking about like he's oblivious to what's going on around him.
• 32:38
  SPEAKER_01: Excuse me, love.
• 32:39
SPEAKER_01: What do you see in 30 millionaire foot or call Palmer?
• 32:45
  SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't know about that.
• 32:46
SPEAKER_01: Steve Harper at Newcastle that we had a Christmas deal for the other wives and that and Lee Boy I brought a las just like they'd never met her before and reckoned she was a worldie.
• 32:56
SPEAKER_01: And uh Steve Harper went, Tell me, Shinice or something.
• 33:00
SPEAKER_01: What do you see in multimillionaire football out of your pocket?
• 33:04
SPEAKER_01: You know Harp, so he's dry as dry as a come, isn't he?
• 33:07
SPEAKER_01: I reckon uh Graeme Soonis came back one summer.
• 33:10
SPEAKER_01: Like he's had like the scores there, so he's had a facelift or something, and he goes, Harpes is a senior man, like what do you think this dressing room needs?
• 33:19
SPEAKER_01: He went, Well, Graeme, I think it needs a major facelift.
• 33:24
  SPEAKER_01: That's bro, it's possible.
• 33:26
SPEAKER_01: That's his humour though, he's fully one.
• 33:28
SPEAKER_01: Can uh shout my pet peeves?
• 33:29
SPEAKER_00: Go flipping straight on, yeah.
• 33:31
SPEAKER_01: Oh you know, sorry, clown watch.
• 33:33
SPEAKER_01: Sorry, we got the clown watch, me of the clown watch, sorry, my other clown watch.
• 33:38
SPEAKER_01: Not to everyone, because I understand when you bring your kids on and stuff, I get it.
• 33:42
SPEAKER_01: Lap of honour, young single girls with some young single lads who haven't really kicked the ball all season.
• 33:47
SPEAKER_01: Get off the lap of honour.
• 33:49
SPEAKER_01: Stop getting your handbag on the touchline or in the goal mouth and getting a picture took.
• 33:53
SPEAKER_01: Gotta get on the ground, though, haven't they?
• 33:55
  SPEAKER_01: Get off the pitch.
• 33:56
  unknown: Yeah.
• 33:56
SPEAKER_01: I seen them the boyfriends who you said half of the minute, they've got their full tracking on, they've not even been involved.
• 34:02
SPEAKER_01: But the missus get the Chanel bag on the pitch.
• 34:04
SPEAKER_01: She's got four I've got four angles of the Chanel bag.
• 34:08
SPEAKER_01: Like, get off, like honestly, man.
• 34:10
  SPEAKER_01: Just yeah, I agree.
• 34:12
SPEAKER_01: You get when the kids come up.
• 34:13
SPEAKER_01: You told us the story off her though, didn't you, Scott Brown?
• 34:15
  SPEAKER_01: You never Yeah, yeah.
• 34:16
SPEAKER_01: Like, obviously, every every family's different, but he was obviously captain for how many years at Celtic?
• 34:21
SPEAKER_01: Like, his missus came in the games and but hardly ever seen her, never evolved, never like the spotlight.
• 34:26
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 34:27
SPEAKER_01: Um side of the pitch, his kids would run on like most people's would.
• 34:31
SPEAKER_01: The missus, not just stand at the top like stand at the dugout and get a few pictures like as they as they go round and stuff, but that's it, like leave it up to the players and the kids.
• 34:39
SPEAKER_01: Stephen Gerard's first ever book, he said, didn't he?
• 34:41
SPEAKER_01: He went, like talking about dating, and he goes, Yeah, he goes, There's ones I've took like for a drive and they've just not spoken how footy what which I love.
• 34:48
SPEAKER_01: He went, and I've took this other one to a restaurant just asking what every player's like.
• 34:52
  SPEAKER_01: Busy bitch.
• 34:53
  SPEAKER_01: So just do one.
• 34:55
SPEAKER_01: So you know what they're in it for with asking questions like that.
• 34:58
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so my clown watch is uh definitely the the girlfriends who run down from the stand, probably beating a one game and get on the pitch.
• 35:08
SPEAKER_00: They've got what they needed, aye, yeah.
• 35:10
  SPEAKER_00: I agree with that.
• 35:11
  SPEAKER_01: Any clowns?
• 35:14
  SPEAKER_00: I haven't got any.
• 35:14
SPEAKER_01: I got sent in a clown watch, but I'm not gonna go in there.
• 35:17
SPEAKER_01: So we like working to staying up, don't we?
• 35:19
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, love it.
• 35:20
SPEAKER_01: We like Billy Bar staying up.
• 35:22
SPEAKER_01: Some working fans are in the bore and what end on the I've seen that on Twitter.
• 35:25
  SPEAKER_01: Why though?
• 35:26
SPEAKER_01: Like that's not even a I don't think there's a there's nothing there seems to be Workington to Carlisle, but we always want Workington to do well, and Carlisle always provides friendlies for work.
• 35:36
SPEAKER_00: We'll root for them as well, you know, like to see warm and players and all this.
• 35:39
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 35:40
SPEAKER_01: Well I I think that's a bit well going on topic there about staying up.
• 35:44
SPEAKER_01: Teams obviously last couple of weeks you're in trouble and you eventually stay up in the last day, but I we obviously don't want any team to go down and get relegated, all this kind of stuff.
• 35:53
SPEAKER_01: But I've seen a few over the over the weekend where they've got pitch invasions for staying up, like the fans are actually on the pitch.
• 35:59
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, crap.
• 36:00
SPEAKER_01: Is it is it Harry Harry McCurdy?
• 36:02
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but to be fair, Harry took the pitch out.
• 36:04
SPEAKER_01: He wasn't the one on the dugout, though.
• 36:06
SPEAKER_01: There was two lads on the dugout dancing after staying at the city.
• 36:08
SPEAKER_01: But you've came back out and you're celebrating released, released them the crowd.
• 36:12
SPEAKER_01: Don't get me wrong, like go out and piss, like, because you know you're in a bad situation and you turn it around and you you make it a bit better, but it's nothing to celebrate.
• 36:20
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 36:20
SPEAKER_01: Like, lads, right, we've got ourselves out of it, but we need to go again.
• 36:23
SPEAKER_01: You know that a pitch invasion and the getting back out to see the fans after the game and stuff.
• 36:27
SPEAKER_01: You know, I was a bit pissed off on that season after the lead season playoffs.
• 36:31
SPEAKER_01: I was injured the whole season, and I knew the club had changed mentality-wise because your Kev Grey's had left.
• 36:37
SPEAKER_01: And I'm not saying I had a massive influence, but I was out the dressing room, a few new players, and we stayed up the last sea of the season against Nillerwall, which is a pressure environment, but like okay, celebrate.
• 36:47
SPEAKER_01: Fans came on the pitch, which they love to do.
• 36:49
SPEAKER_01: But there was a few players, like still an hour after the game, still walking around in a flip-flopped with champagne in the dressing room.
• 36:56
SPEAKER_01: I was like, No, is this not a reality check to you're mostly just standards, isn't it?
• 37:00
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's just standards, like you're you're celebrating what mediocre do you know what I mean?
• 37:04
SPEAKER_01: Like it's celebrated more like than we celebrated bloody winning leagues.
• 37:10
  SPEAKER_01: It was a joke.
• 37:11
SPEAKER_00: Remember once we went to Exeter when I played for Southport, and we were four points behind.
• 37:16
SPEAKER_00: And Peter Davenport remember Peter Davenport?
• 37:18
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he was a player, well, he was our manager, and he said to us, he said, promise you lads, he went, try and get three points today because if you win, you might stay up.
• 37:26
  SPEAKER_00: We're four points behind.
• 37:28
SPEAKER_00: So we're all going looking round, going, is this guy.
• 37:30
  SPEAKER_00: Go deference.
• 37:31
  SPEAKER_00: Coaches a point.
• 37:32
SPEAKER_00: As it happened, I think it was Halifax who went bust.
• 37:34
SPEAKER_00: If we did win, we would have stayed up.
• 37:36
SPEAKER_00: But instead of telling us that, he just like sort of said, get three points, and you might Did you win?
• 37:41
  SPEAKER_00: No, we're gonna.
• 37:42
  SPEAKER_00: Because he confused.
• 37:43
SPEAKER_00: I was like, what's he on about?
• 37:44
  SPEAKER_00: What's coming on?
• 37:44
SPEAKER_00: We're gonna like I think we got absolutely hammered, but yeah.
• 37:47
SPEAKER_01: Pet Peeves has absolutely escalated.
• 37:50
  SPEAKER_01: All right.
• 37:50
SPEAKER_01: It's escalated massive, it's escalated into icks as well.
• 37:55
SPEAKER_01: Well had something yeah, so Stu Nicholson, my mate, lives in Australia now.
• 38:00
SPEAKER_01: I've told you about him before.
• 38:01
SPEAKER_01: He played at West Brom, he was on the bench a lot of times, got a move to Shrewsbury.
• 38:06
  SPEAKER_01: Um, 20-year-old kid.
• 38:08
SPEAKER_01: He wanted to make away, so he told Shrewsbury he was going back to West Brom to train, and West Brom thought he was at Shrewsbury.
• 38:16
SPEAKER_01: So we thought we like it.
• 38:17
SPEAKER_01: But what a player he was.
• 38:18
SPEAKER_01: Son of the league, he used to play for us.
• 38:19
SPEAKER_01: But he should have still been playing it.
• 38:20
SPEAKER_01: But anyway, he was texting us the other day.
• 38:23
SPEAKER_01: So he was texting us early Sunday morning, so he walks his lass' dog every now and then.
• 38:27
SPEAKER_01: Um she works different shifts.
• 38:30
SPEAKER_01: So he talks to this lass every time and walks the dog.
• 38:34
SPEAKER_01: But his real lass is well, his wife's works patterns changed, so she's gone on the dog walk with him.
• 38:40
SPEAKER_01: So this lass is waved over and went, hi, yeah, from a distance.
• 38:44
  SPEAKER_01: And Stu's went, uh and he's a wife went, who's that?
• 38:47
SPEAKER_01: He went, almost be mistaken now.
• 38:51
  SPEAKER_01: You're not being a talking tar.
• 38:52
SPEAKER_01: So to round you've got to pass each other again.
• 38:54
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you have, yeah.
• 38:55
SPEAKER_01: So you've got to pass each other again, and then he's forgot, hadn't he?
• 38:58
  SPEAKER_01: It's just 20 hours.
• 38:59
  SPEAKER_01: He went, fuck.
• 39:00
  SPEAKER_01: Just coming towards.
• 39:02
SPEAKER_01: And uh they're on the left.
• 39:04
SPEAKER_01: Now you went to the bushes, and then as they come, Stu starts thinking the loop, the loop.
• 39:10
SPEAKER_01: He went, oh sorry, I'll get away with it somehow.
• 39:13
  SPEAKER_01: No, no.
• 39:14
  SPEAKER_01: Comes towards.
• 39:15
  SPEAKER_01: Hiya, Stuart, hiya, dimples.
• 39:18
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, to the dog.
• 39:19
SPEAKER_01: Hey, Stu, she's not grown in the last three months.
• 39:23
  SPEAKER_01: Oh fuck.
• 39:25
  SPEAKER_01: Ah, that's trouble.
• 39:26
SPEAKER_01: So his last text to me, let me have an updogan.
• 39:28
SPEAKER_01: I've got it all on here.
• 39:31
  SPEAKER_01: He's been absent.
• 39:33
  SPEAKER_01: He's been done.
• 39:33
SPEAKER_01: So obviously, listening from the gym one last week, he went, I've just got in the shit with my misses.
• 39:37
  SPEAKER_01: Listen to this.
• 39:38
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, he went, I got it all on, we'll speak later.
• 39:41
SPEAKER_01: I still not heard from him, so hopefully, Stu, you've sorted that out.
• 39:43
SPEAKER_01: But uh he's quite sirish, so it's probably getting good.
• 39:47
SPEAKER_00: Alright, good luck with that.
• 39:48
  SPEAKER_01: So, icks.
• 39:49
SPEAKER_01: We've had a lot of correspondence to the gym thing and the and the pet peeves and all that last week, but the the word an ick has come up.
• 39:56
SPEAKER_01: So my mate's partner over the weekend posted a picture of him or a video of him with a um VR headset.
• 40:03
  SPEAKER_01: Oh no.
• 40:04
SPEAKER_01: With a golf club, that's in it.
• 40:06
SPEAKER_01: And going through the motions, right?
• 40:08
  SPEAKER_01: Of golfing or something.
• 40:10
SPEAKER_01: So is is he see is he seeing a golf?
• 40:12
  SPEAKER_01: Ah, the golf club.
• 40:13
  SPEAKER_01: He's a simulator.
• 40:15
SPEAKER_01: So he's putting the ball.
• 40:18
SPEAKER_01: No, there'd been there'll be nothing there.
• 40:19
SPEAKER_01: He'll be putting the fucking he'd be taking the the rug away.
• 40:22
SPEAKER_01: Right, so she's put that, she's put a video up of him, just put new lick un new ick unlocked, and just put the spewy emojis.
• 40:29
SPEAKER_01: Let's call it that though.
• 40:30
SPEAKER_01: So I've showed Laura it and she's gone.
• 40:33
SPEAKER_01: Well, that's nothing compared to men who wear dressing gowns and slippers.
• 40:38
  SPEAKER_01: Do you?
• 40:39
  SPEAKER_01: No.
• 40:40
  SPEAKER_01: Do you?
• 40:41
SPEAKER_01: I have done in the winter.
• 40:43
  SPEAKER_01: I don't, I don't mind it.
• 40:44
  SPEAKER_01: I've got sloppers.
• 40:46

SPEAKER_01: So I went in ultra lively.
• 43:23
SPEAKER_01: So I've gone in, I've opened the door, pretty sure there's sawdust on the thing.
• 43:27
  SPEAKER_01: I didn't mean there's a barman.

• 43:41
  SPEAKER_01: He's licked the pen.

• 44:11
  SPEAKER_01: I agree.
• 44:12
  SPEAKER_01: But what about this?
• 44:13
SPEAKER_01: When my husband is watching videos on his phone, he listens at two times speed.
• 44:18
  SPEAKER_01: What the actual fuck?
• 44:19
SPEAKER_01: The noise goes right through me.
• 44:21
SPEAKER_01: I don't need to be listening to that monstrosity.
• 44:23
SPEAKER_01: Get your headphones on, you psychopath.
• 44:26
SPEAKER_01: He listens to three in the middle at normal speed, but I'm gonna assume that's because us northerners speak fairly quickly anyway.
• 44:32
SPEAKER_01: So two times would be intelligible.
• 44:34
SPEAKER_01: Love the pod, keep up the wall, good work, keyly bye.
• 44:37
SPEAKER_00: If I get a voice note, sometimes I'll 1.5 if it's quite long because you can still times two, mate.
• 44:43
SPEAKER_00: You know, you don't know what's getting said.
• 44:44
SPEAKER_01: What the actual from what the actual fucking this is this is divorced.
• 44:48
SPEAKER_01: Our message does that with his TikToks or something, like and she's some ghetto, I don't know, ranting about something, and it's like 0.2 or something, and it's how do you even you're not even listening to any of that?
• 44:59
SPEAKER_01: Like you're just looking at Watson, like nah couldn't be both.
• 45:03
SPEAKER_01: The um end of season, end of season now, end of season trips.
• 45:07
SPEAKER_01: Anyone remember any of them?

• 45:14
SPEAKER_00: Um scouses, well how much brown envelopes did the lads get at Accridon?
• 45:22
  SPEAKER_00: None.
• 45:22
SPEAKER_00: Um but John Coleman and Jimmy Bell were just like the lads anyway.
• 45:27
  SPEAKER_00: Ah, they were.
• 45:28
SPEAKER_00: Um and you've got like likes of Andy Mangan and Gary Roberts.
• 45:32
SPEAKER_00: These lads are scouses and they're not normal.
• 45:34
SPEAKER_00: Like crazy, yeah, and I was I'd not been there that long, but because I'd won the league, anything anything goes like it.
• 45:41
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I've seen a lot that week.
• 45:44
SPEAKER_00: But on the week's a long time.
• 45:46
SPEAKER_00: Well, no, five, no, sorry, five days, but still a lot of three four days.
• 45:49
SPEAKER_00: On the fourth, I think it was the fourth night, we got invited round to Franny Jess uh Jeffers villa.
• 45:54
  SPEAKER_00: Oh nice.
• 45:54
SPEAKER_00: I think he just had his move, maybe to Arsenal.
• 45:56
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and you know you got there and you're like, Wow.
• 45:59
SPEAKER_00: And uh, so that was a pie in his villa.
• 46:01
SPEAKER_01: My god, we yeah, madness.
• 46:03
SPEAKER_01: We went totally a few times we went to Marbia, and speaking of getting invited, uh Harvey Mick's Mick Holland got talking to some people in his bar in Marbella.
• 46:12
SPEAKER_01: But have you ever seen RZM Pet?
• 46:14
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, I loved it.
• 46:15
SPEAKER_01: So it was like the Rommins.
• 46:16
SPEAKER_01: He went at this bar, and it was like people who were like couldn't go back to England, but they used to congregate at this boxing bar.
• 46:24
SPEAKER_01: Honestly, it was like a secret knock we had to get in.
• 46:26
SPEAKER_01: There was about 15 Southern lads that went, and we're watching Man United via Tottenham on the last day of the season.
• 46:32
SPEAKER_01: You know, when Manu won the treble in 1999, yeah.
• 46:35
SPEAKER_01: Tottenham went one-null up, Cole scores that lob.
• 46:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and Becca, we were watching that, but you just knew it was like pictures up with Mike Tyson and Holyfield all signed, and we just sat there and it was intimidating.
• 46:47
SPEAKER_01: And then John Mullen and Martin Smith are next to me, and they went, Lummy, because I was a bit lively, I was a bit loud, and he went, just keep quiet.
• 46:53
SPEAKER_01: Went this lad that's behind you's eyeballing you.
• 46:55
  SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, fuck.
• 46:57
SPEAKER_01: They went, listen, he's he's eyeballing you, just keep quiet.
• 47:00
SPEAKER_01: So about half an hour they're going, that lad's not gonna quit, like, and I went, Oh god, they went, Don't turn, whatever you do, don't turn round.
• 47:07
  SPEAKER_01: Says right.
• 47:08
SPEAKER_01: Then about five minutes later, they went, I kind of shit and went, Alright, mate, went, let me just watch a celly once a word.
• 47:15
  SPEAKER_01: Turned round.
• 47:16
  SPEAKER_01: It's Jeremy Beadle.

• 47:18
SPEAKER_01: It was Jeremy Beadle, the actual man.
• 47:20
  SPEAKER_01: Of Beadle's about.
• 47:22
SPEAKER_01: It was, didn't want to fight now.
• 47:24
SPEAKER_01: They were just winding us up, it was behind us.
• 47:25
SPEAKER_01: Oh, would they wing you up?
• 47:27
SPEAKER_01: Have you been holding up as for years?
• 47:30
  SPEAKER_01: I can't look at it.
• 47:31
  SPEAKER_01: I'm getting filled then.
• 47:32
  SPEAKER_01: Well, I reckon I could have Beadle, couldn't I?
• 47:36
  SPEAKER_01: Good fight.

  SPEAKER_01: Good fight.
• 47:37
  SPEAKER_01: That's he didn't know.
• 47:40
SPEAKER_01: Get used to the mess fit.
• 47:42
  SPEAKER_01: Jeremy Beadles.
• 47:44
SPEAKER_01: But I and uh so like you're going away to Mar BR the end of the season, 19 year old, getting chased by Baalie for nicking the money and getting not getting the stereo.
• 47:53
SPEAKER_01: You're like watching John Gregory, Don Hutchinson.
• 47:56
SPEAKER_01: John Gregory went to John Hutchinson.
• 47:58
SPEAKER_01: Um John Gregory had like this pink shirt on, and uh he had hammered Don Hutchinson in the Sky Game about four weeks before, just said he died was all the time.
• 48:08
SPEAKER_01: So Hutchers went over and just brushed him and jumped it up for them on the floor in Gregory's dead submitted to Hutches.
• 48:14
SPEAKER_01: Well, I can't hear your shirt's too loud, mate.
• 48:17

• 48:19
  SPEAKER_01: Ah no, really.
• 48:20
SPEAKER_01: Um had a few like during the season, like winter breaks and stuff like that.
• 48:24
SPEAKER_01: But usually everyone's aware nationals and stuff like that teams that I've been to.
• 48:29
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they'll give him an old promise, like when we were at Sunderland playoff final.
• 48:33

• 48:35
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, promise Vegas.
• 48:37
SPEAKER_01: He had like the Vegas trips in that unbelievable, and we were promised that way.
• 48:41
SPEAKER_01: Obviously, a good a good bonus, a good kitty, but obviously Alaska could again.
• 48:45
SPEAKER_01: It's the most horrendous goal that concede ever that terrible proper Sunderland at that time.
• 48:49
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the um we got so speaking of Marbea one morning, I think it was the year after, a couple years after, we went out four years in a row.
• 48:57
SPEAKER_01: I've woke up the beach and Peter Reid and completed went, Lummy, come over.
• 49:02
SPEAKER_01: And I've sat down and not even looked for a couple, and I've looked, Andy Gray, no extra and they just talked football for like half an hour, and I was just like, and he said, if you could put a bet on Ravanelli's going to Derby, but in them days, Ravenelli was never going to Derby.
• 49:17
  SPEAKER_01: And he did.
• 49:18
  SPEAKER_01: He did, yeah.
• 49:19
SPEAKER_01: And he says, biggest transfer this summer, he went Viera's going to Manu.
• 49:23
SPEAKER_01: Did he went that can't happen?
• 49:25
SPEAKER_01: He went Vieira's going to Mariew, and apparently very, very close.
• 49:28
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it happened.
• 49:29
SPEAKER_01: But I just sitting there with Peter Reid, uh Adrian Heath, and bloody so would the manager go with the trip?
• 49:35
SPEAKER_01: Like, are we I guess that was the season, yeah.
• 49:38
SPEAKER_00: I guess the one I went on.
• 49:40
SPEAKER_00: You don't understand what these two guys are like, though.
• 49:41
SPEAKER_00: John Cut, he's just he's yeah, I know I know the assistant and Jimmy Bell.
• 49:44
SPEAKER_00: They just yeah, just like but talking to them in the season two is the York lads are having a right go, aren't they?
• 49:49
SPEAKER_01: They took everybody, they took everybody.
• 49:50
SPEAKER_00: Everything they shook the club shopping.
• 49:52
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the staff everybody's gone.
• 49:54
SPEAKER_00: I've seen a picture of them and go at it like soan beach.

• 50:02
SPEAKER_00: I've walked past it and never been in.
• 50:03
SPEAKER_01: I was can you imagine that's the end of the game?
• 50:05
SPEAKER_01: I used to love it.
• 50:06
  SPEAKER_00: He'd fit in, wouldn't he?
• 50:06
  SPEAKER_00: He'd fit in there.
• 50:07
  SPEAKER_00: Adam.
• 50:08
SPEAKER_01: I used to go out.
• 50:08
SPEAKER_01: I used to go away with my mates at Glasgow every year, three full days, every single year.
• 50:12
  SPEAKER_01: Did you?
• 50:13
  SPEAKER_01: Aye.
• 50:13
  SPEAKER_01: I loved it.
• 50:14
  SPEAKER_01: I loved it.
• 50:15
SPEAKER_01: Ever nick one of them orange cups?
• 50:17

• 50:17
SPEAKER_01: But I was in a beta last year, I didn't go, but snodgrass and that were the same hotel, hit Billy Painter and that.
• 50:22
SPEAKER_01: So snodgrass and that are quickly like pumping up.
• 50:24
SPEAKER_01: Billy's let out the glass of wine.
• 50:26
  SPEAKER_01: Looked a million dollars.
• 50:29
SPEAKER_01: And you know, they came back about eight hours later.
• 50:31
SPEAKER_01: All them like live in that.
• 50:33
SPEAKER_01: Billy just never changed, just complete like the same.

SPEAKER_01: Good tan on him as well.
• 50:37
  SPEAKER_01: Great tan.
• 50:38
SPEAKER_01: I've been in there with um Ocean Beach with Paddy McCoat and that.
• 50:40
  SPEAKER_01: I've had him.

• 50:50
  SPEAKER_01: As a player.
• 50:51
  SPEAKER_01: Who paddy?
• 50:53
SPEAKER_01: See if you've just gone on pure ability, best I've ever seen.
• 50:56
  SPEAKER_01: Really?
• 50:56
  SPEAKER_01: Ever.
• 50:57
  SPEAKER_01: Wow.
• 50:57
SPEAKER_01: Honestly, like ridiculous and ridiculous.
• 51:00
SPEAKER_01: Show Halty says the same.
• 51:01
SPEAKER_01: I'm sure he's at Rochdale with him.
• 51:02
  SPEAKER_01: I was.
• 51:04
  SPEAKER_01: Uh what's the crack?
• 51:05
SPEAKER_01: So we're sponsored by Warwick Road Bird Centre.
• 51:09
  SPEAKER_01: Furniture centre.
• 51:10
SPEAKER_01: But we're now in the furniture centre.
• 51:12
SPEAKER_01: So both shops, get your beds down at Warwick Road.
• 51:16
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 51:16
SPEAKER_01: Get your new and used furniture here.
• 51:18
SPEAKER_01: And as we've said earlier, free delivery and the take your furniture away, which is a godsend, to be honest.
• 51:25
SPEAKER_00: Can I just say it's what he's done to this place is phenomenal because I remember when he first got it, and it was he won my series a bit of a dump, so the way they've got it now is is impressive, and some of the stuff in here is really.
• 51:35
SPEAKER_01: Brook Street just off London Road.
• 51:37
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's right, isn't it?
• 51:39
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 51:40
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 51:40
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 51:41
  SPEAKER_01: Evening, chaps.
• 51:42
  SPEAKER_01: Works.
• 51:43
SPEAKER_01: Loving the podcast, and thanks for doing it.
• 51:46
SPEAKER_01: I'm still happily playing every week with a mixed ability, mixed age group, a couple of months short of my 58th birthday for a top draw, Dave.
• 51:54
SPEAKER_01: Even after playing all these years, I still have no clear understanding of the raised arm, left or right, or both from a corner taker.
• 52:03
SPEAKER_01: Is it a grade upon left means front post, right means back post before each game?
• 52:08
SPEAKER_01: Clarity on this before I hang my boots up would be great, thanks.
• 52:12
SPEAKER_01: Also, what the fuck does it mean when a team plays a low block?
• 52:15
SPEAKER_01: And whilst we're here, inverted fullbacks, the idea, like generally don't mind making a shan of myself for not knowing, but any help would be gratefully received.
• 52:24
SPEAKER_01: Keep it the quality work.
• 52:26
  SPEAKER_01: Best Dave and Narsborough.
• 52:28
SPEAKER_01: I saying that right, Kate and yeah, not well.
• 52:34
SPEAKER_00: I just found at different clubs, it was different.
• 52:36
SPEAKER_00: Like you'd go by what signals in it.
• 52:40
  SPEAKER_01: Borum would done this.
• 52:41
SPEAKER_01: If you're listening, Borham would uh Tom White touched the top of his head like a Mo Fower thing.
• 52:45
SPEAKER_01: Because I spotted that in the hell, didn't I?
• 52:47
  SPEAKER_01: I went, he's touching his end.
• 52:48
SPEAKER_00: So what I'm saying is it just depends where you're at, what club it can be anything, can't it?
• 52:52
  SPEAKER_00: Whatever you work on.
• 52:53
SPEAKER_01: Usually one hand up is usually in Matt's being front post.
• 52:56
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 52:57
SPEAKER_01: Two hands up is back post, usually.
• 52:59
SPEAKER_01: But obviously now they're doing like bounce the ball from their head.
• 53:03
SPEAKER_01: So they work on it during the week where they've got certain routines, like where what kind of area they're looking for, or whatever it is.
• 53:08
SPEAKER_01: But what about the routine out the window in the last minute when you've got to miss the first mana?
• 53:12
  SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
• 53:14
SPEAKER_00: Just hang out and you went to the corner.
• 53:18
  SPEAKER_01: It's brutal, isn't it?
• 53:20
SPEAKER_01: But even you hit one bad corner with a free kick, whipping in with pace, meat chance to 93rd minutes.
• 53:25
SPEAKER_01: I'm clearing the map and the edge of the box just to make sure I keep it away from the keeper.
• 53:29
SPEAKER_01: Keeper comes high, like I don't you dare keep that.
• 53:32
SPEAKER_01: You have to uh invert fullbacks and do it.
• 53:35
SPEAKER_01: No, yeah, come on, come on doing it.
• 53:37
SPEAKER_01: You've just educated raw lights.
• 53:38
SPEAKER_01: No, I don't know about educating, but I think obviously Pep, Pep's got a big a big role in this, isn't he?
• 53:43
SPEAKER_01: The the the the other ones like the low blocks and that that's just reinvented like buzzwords, in it really.
• 53:49
SPEAKER_01: It's like back to the.
• 53:55
SPEAKER_01: Basically, well, I would say by all count I was a mid-block.
• 53:58
SPEAKER_01: So I think see if you're crammed in your own half, defending your own box, kind of like a low block, like 11 men behind the ball, and it mid block I would say is kind of obviously self-expansive, isn't it?
• 54:09
SPEAKER_01: Like middle of pitch, kind of being solid, but and then hiding their faces high press, I would I would say, but um I guess where Graham Soon has got hammered because he was asking um the last, wasn't he?
• 54:20
SPEAKER_01: Katie Scott to explain it.
• 54:21
SPEAKER_01: And then I think is it Katie Scott who used to be on the BBC?
• 54:24
SPEAKER_01: Katie Scott Kate Scott, yeah.
• 54:25
SPEAKER_00: I think Jill Scott's the big tall one who's on the overlap.
• 54:28
SPEAKER_00: She's the presenter Alex Scott Alexander Scott.
• 54:31
  SPEAKER_00: That's it.
• 54:31
  SPEAKER_00: That's her sister.
• 54:32
SPEAKER_01: And she Alex Scott's the explainer, not the oh I might got the wrong person completely, it could be the one show and all that.
• 54:38
SPEAKER_01: Anyway, she got hammered with loads of questions about Graeme Sinus being disrespectful, and she went, No, like he's asking because it's different was it like patronising, like essentially.
• 54:47
SPEAKER_01: No, he wasn't, he wasn't asking, and she went, No.
• 54:50
SPEAKER_01: She went, Do you know how honour it is?
• 54:51
SPEAKER_01: In honour it is for him asking me these questions, yeah.
• 54:54
SPEAKER_01: Just and he goes, Well, because what he was saying was, all right, I get what you're saying now, but people were saying it was condescending, but it wasn't.
• 55:00
SPEAKER_01: It's just made up words now, innit?
• 55:02
SPEAKER_01: For like like a low block, it's just defending your box, yeah, innit?
• 55:06
SPEAKER_01: Like, and then obviously different terminologies, but I the inverted full back.
• 55:10
SPEAKER_01: I feel that's kind of something new ish in the last few years with Pep bringing mostly the left back in, then he c um can't remember his name, but they brought him in and made like an extra midfield and then Stones kind of did it.
• 55:21
SPEAKER_01: Stones has done it a few times, and again, so you see a lot of it filters down because I've seen teams in League One, League Two trying to do it.
• 55:28
SPEAKER_01: Do you know overload the middle pitch?
• 55:30
SPEAKER_01: Mike Williams used to call Jordan Williams a cheat code.
• 55:33
SPEAKER_01: I still don't know what the fuck he means.
• 55:35
SPEAKER_01: No, not a clue either.
• 55:36
  SPEAKER_01: I I honestly don't know.
• 55:37
SPEAKER_01: Can someone write in, get the interview up?
• 55:39
SPEAKER_01: How is Jordan Williams a cheat code?
• 55:42
SPEAKER_01: Oh, you might get some right answers.
• 55:45
SPEAKER_01: Cheat code, I'm just trying to think.
• 55:47
  SPEAKER_01: No, I don't know, it's not.
• 55:48
  SPEAKER_00: I don't either.
• 55:49
SPEAKER_01: Um right, thank you for that.
• 55:51
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Daz Gaffney.
• 55:52
SPEAKER_01: Great pot again this week, lads.
• 55:54
  SPEAKER_01: Great listen.
• 55:55
SPEAKER_01: Easily the best thing I'm listening to at the minute.
• 55:57
SPEAKER_01: Even got my boy Trent listening.
• 55:59
SPEAKER_01: Couple of questions for you, lads.
• 56:01
SPEAKER_01: Just wondering what your opinions were on the English manager coach situation, as in why we lack so much elite English managers.
• 56:08
SPEAKER_01: Plus, your thoughts on the coach and barge debate.
• 56:10
SPEAKER_01: Are they needed for someone to get a job?
• 56:12
SPEAKER_01: Are they a good idea?
• 56:13
  SPEAKER_01: Is it outdated, etc.?
• 56:16
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 56:17
  SPEAKER_00: Good question.
• 56:18
SPEAKER_01: I think um the English, the lack of English, it was always going to happen.
• 56:22
SPEAKER_01: It's like the lack of English players, but I think it'll come round again.
• 56:25
SPEAKER_01: It'll be uh a buzz to give English people a chance.
• 56:28
SPEAKER_01: Seems to be lower leagues, more English coming into it.
• 56:31
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think teams were having a little go with Americans, Germans, foreign, Norwegian, and that's I think it's coming back the other way.
• 56:38
SPEAKER_01: I think the Premier League's always been you know different from '92, '93, isn't it?
• 56:42
SPEAKER_01: Where you had the old Scottish manager and German.
• 56:45
SPEAKER_01: So do you think we've just kind of opened up a wee bit where like probably back in the day it was like a manager just managed.
• 56:52
SPEAKER_01: Now, now I feel like they're like a head, now they're head coaches, yeah, and now you're seeing all obviously Europeans and stuff like that, like all these people coming through, do you know what I mean?
• 57:02
SPEAKER_01: And doing like their education abroad, and now they're coming over here and having an identity, and now now owners are looking for that rather than just being like, Oh, we need that kind of old school manager who's just got to manage players.
• 57:13
SPEAKER_01: Do you think that because Europe done it loads before they had a sporting director for years having the ahead of yeah?
• 57:18
SPEAKER_01: So now these coaches are used to that.
• 57:20
SPEAKER_01: Whereas an English coach might go, I want to sign the players, so they're more equipped to do it.
• 57:26
SPEAKER_01: Now that era of phasing out, and the coaches coming through, know they've been trained on these, I don't know, licenses you go on that there will be probably a sporting director.
• 57:35
SPEAKER_01: How to how to have that relationship with them?
• 57:37
SPEAKER_00: Like managing up the way when it all goes wrong and then they revert back to Neil Warner, Sam Halladays when they try to ask you.
• 57:43
SPEAKER_01: It's just like trying to get into still everyone Carlisle play, play, play the other night, the other day, last minute, threw everyone up and had half a chance.
• 57:51
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
• 57:51
  SPEAKER_01: It's mad these games, isn't it?
• 57:53
SPEAKER_01: Like you watch it and it's like in my chest for 85 minutes, 90 minutes, and in the last five-10 minutes, that's usually where the goals come.
• 58:00
SPEAKER_01: Big chances when just throw it out the window.
• 58:02
SPEAKER_01: Coaching badges, they're they're a lot more in depth.
• 58:04
SPEAKER_01: You say they were doing a lot about psychological stuff.
• 58:06
  SPEAKER_01: Ah, it's it's a lot now.
• 58:08
SPEAKER_01: Like they put I wouldn't mind going on not for the footy bit, I wouldn't mind going on that sort of stuff.
• 58:12
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 58:12
SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't want to go the the classroom bit probably appeals to me more than the pitch.
• 58:17
SPEAKER_01: It's no, it's not that they just want to know that you're able to kind of it it's not what you're coaching, it's how you coach it.
• 58:24
SPEAKER_01: So it's like if you if you want somebody to do something that probably you wouldn't see in a football pitch, see as long as you deliver it properly and you believe in it and now and there's a structure, they're happy with it.
• 58:34
SPEAKER_01: They'll know that to say, well, that's wrong.
• 58:35
  SPEAKER_01: Can you feel it?
• 58:36
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 58:37
SPEAKER_01: You can feel it, aye.
• 58:38
SPEAKER_01: Even when you're paying what well, whatever you're paying.
• 58:40
SPEAKER_01: Aye, you can't no, you can feel it.
• 58:42
  SPEAKER_01: You can definitely.
• 58:42
SPEAKER_01: Is that just lack of graft though?
• 58:44
SPEAKER_01: Okay, so if you go a bit a bit uh on the grass, you can fail it.
• 58:49
SPEAKER_01: If if you've done like any sort of coaching and got the elbows behind you, you should be fine.
• 58:53
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 58:53
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 58:53
SPEAKER_01: Like you you know how to carry yourself, you you can see like big mistakes, so they call it like um live stoppages.
• 58:59
SPEAKER_01: So the game's gone on and there's something like wrong.
• 59:02
SPEAKER_01: So say you're working on cross and finishing, and the wire gets it, it goes to cross, it turns around and passes your full back, they expect you to be able to like step in in a training pitch and say, right, this is what we should have done, and all this kind of thing.
• 59:14
SPEAKER_00: Is this where a lot of people fall short though?
• 59:16
SPEAKER_00: Because they could do all the the classroom work, but they can't deliver yeah, like the sessions when they're out on the it is, it's it's tough.
• 59:24
SPEAKER_01: Like in the classroom stuff's tough as well.
• 59:26
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 59:26
SPEAKER_01: It is because for me doing it, obviously, I've just played football my career and not really done too much academically, but and then to go and now they're saying, right, you need to give us a 2,000-word document essay on this um two-hour two-hour video that we've sent you on like uh guy called Steve Sallas, does like a lot of kind of psychological stuff.
• 59:47
SPEAKER_01: Listen to him for two hours and do a 2,000 word essay on what you take away from it and how you would implement that and your team.
• 59:53
  SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
• 59:54
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 59:54
SPEAKER_01: Then you're like right, so it's quite a lot, innit?
• 59:56
  SPEAKER_01: It's in-depth.
• 59:57
SPEAKER_01: Like the bomb squad at Darlo.
• 59:59
SPEAKER_01: Um, this lad, two lads were coming in to do the final exam because Craig Bidler was one of the coaches of like who signed them off.
• 1:00:06
SPEAKER_01: Because lads just do us a favour, eh?
• 1:00:08
SPEAKER_01: He's just gonna do his session now, it's 15 minutes.
• 1:00:12
SPEAKER_01: So he goes, just make it realistic.
• 1:00:13
SPEAKER_01: So I'll pass the ball out to Conn.
• 1:00:15
SPEAKER_01: Conn's done a hundred step overs and done that thing I told you about, pushed it past like a fake mannequin and went, no, and then he's put the ball in, hit the mannequin.
• 1:00:25
SPEAKER_01: He went, Okay, now that mannequins like Gary Pallister, and the the blokes like come off the street, it's grassroots.
• 1:00:32
SPEAKER_01: It's like looking at these players who played thousands of games.
• 1:00:34
SPEAKER_01: Any con saying out, and Liz is like, Con, come yeah, because Lids was like the manager, but he played but con, so that like we can't that like he just went, I'm gonna fucking knock you off if you don't take this.
• 1:00:46
  SPEAKER_01: Do it right.
• 1:00:48
SPEAKER_01: Right, last one, and then I'm gonna leave you with something and the viewers for next week because I really want to get into it.
• 1:00:53
  SPEAKER_01: It's interesting.
• 1:00:53
SPEAKER_01: So, this is the last one.
• 1:00:54
SPEAKER_01: This is from I don't know how to say it.
• 1:00:58
  SPEAKER_01: The handle is S A17 I R E.
• 1:01:01
  SPEAKER_01: Saza.
• 1:01:02
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
• 1:01:03
SPEAKER_01: Really, really enjoying the podcast, lads.
• 1:01:05
SPEAKER_01: And I usually hate podcasts.
• 1:01:07
  SPEAKER_01: Fair play.
• 1:01:08
SPEAKER_01: By the time one by the time this one is out, my my team Harrogate will know their fate.
• 1:01:14
SPEAKER_01: Unfortunately for them, they went down air.
• 1:01:16
SPEAKER_01: If a player is out of contract and out on loan, if a manager is sacked after he's made the decision on the said player or the pros' future, does the player return and get a stay of execution or to prove himself to the new management?
• 1:01:32
SPEAKER_01: Not like we have to worry about that, the Simon Weaver in charge, meaning he'll never get sacked.
• 1:01:35
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:01:36
  SPEAKER_01: Just always wondered.
• 1:01:37
SPEAKER_01: So what he's saying is say Hughes has sent someone on load, say Archie Davis is at somewhere now, yeah.
• 1:01:44
SPEAKER_01: And he comes back in, he's out of the contract.
• 1:01:46
SPEAKER_01: Hughes leaves today, Bournemouth's manager comes in.
• 1:01:49
SPEAKER_01: Ball and Wood and his manager tries to take Archie Davis, I'm quite sure.
• 1:01:53
SPEAKER_01: Okay, yeah, in uh March.
• 1:01:55
SPEAKER_01: So does suddenly Bournemouth's manager go actually come back pre-season, or if you've been on loan, it's a tough one because I know people Michael Smith.
• 1:02:03
SPEAKER_01: So Michael Smith played for Rosham, Sheffwed, got loaded, Wimbledon got loads of Charlton.
• 1:02:09
SPEAKER_01: So with Darlington, he was released.
• 1:02:11
SPEAKER_01: Staunton got sacked, and Simon Davy came in and he went.
• 1:02:15
SPEAKER_01: I just don't know why I said it the same day.
• 1:02:16
SPEAKER_01: I went, There's a large just been released, Geordie Lar says, he's worth getting back in, you know.
• 1:02:20
SPEAKER_01: He says, There's two weeks left of the season, he's worth getting back in.
• 1:02:23
SPEAKER_01: He's seen him for two days, put him in, he scored two goals in the last two games for Dalton.
• 1:02:27
SPEAKER_01: Charlton came in for him, and that was it.
• 1:02:29
SPEAKER_01: And he was released two weeks earlier.
• 1:02:32
SPEAKER_01: So different managers give him his career, he was going back to like Whitley Bay and Asda, stacking Shelton.
• 1:02:37
SPEAKER_00: Just timing and that's timing, yeah.
• 1:02:38
SPEAKER_00: And like you say, like depends how long like you say, if the season's finished, but the Borumwood manager comes in and he previously likes him, yeah.
• 1:02:46
  SPEAKER_00: Could invite him back?
• 1:02:47
SPEAKER_00: That's up to him if he wants to do that and he wants to come like he can, can't he?
• 1:02:50
  SPEAKER_00: The training opportunity.
• 1:02:50
SPEAKER_00: But like you say, if there's a if there's a few games left and he really fancies him, get him back, and it could only just take that and a few games and you're and you're back in favour.
• 1:02:58
SPEAKER_01: That's where they kind of you need to kind of know who the manager is.
• 1:03:02
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 1:03:02
SPEAKER_01: Like who's making decisions, who's who we keep him, who we try to get out the door.
• 1:03:07
SPEAKER_01: Because the plan for next year starts Sunday night, isn't it?
• 1:03:11
SPEAKER_01: So let's say Terrell Thomas gets released today and Marquez leads tonight.
• 1:03:15
SPEAKER_01: Someone could absolutely love him this manager, and Terrell could go, well, I'm out of contract, uh bump it up, or yeah, it's a it's a it's a funny one.
• 1:03:24
SPEAKER_00: Like you say, time and time and bit of luck, who the managers all that comes into comes into play, doesn't it?
• 1:03:29
SPEAKER_01: Right, we'll wrap it up, but this is for next week, and this is for a few people who text in about and we know a lot of people involved in academies.
• 1:03:35
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 1:03:36
SPEAKER_01: So this is from Stephen Beck, and he's a sport agent, and I got this off LinkedIn.
• 1:03:40
SPEAKER_01: So I seen this week a 12-year-old kid going viral after being released by Liverpool, and it shows me that the academy system is broken.
• 1:03:49
SPEAKER_01: I honestly think that academies should start around under 12s, under 13s, with a couple of training sessions weekly until players are about fourteen.
• 1:03:57
SPEAKER_01: The sacrifices made by these young kids and their families are huge.
• 1:04:02
SPEAKER_01: Parents invest in time, taking time off work, sometimes take their kids to training or matches, spending money on boots, travel, etc.
• 1:04:10
SPEAKER_01: All to support their kid, hopefully becoming a full-time footballer at 16.
• 1:04:15
SPEAKER_01: Then they'll receive the news you're not good enough.
• 1:04:17
  SPEAKER_01: Thanks.
• 1:04:18
SPEAKER_01: Go back to being a kid with your mates who you've hardly seen over the years.
• 1:04:22
SPEAKER_01: I know everyone develops differently, but I joined Everton at 14, got off at approach 15, and then got picked for England at 16, 17, and 18 levels.
• 1:04:31
SPEAKER_01: Because I hadn't been in the academy setup for years, I was a different player to most of my age group when I joined.
• 1:04:37
SPEAKER_01: Gary Medine, Danny Graham, all the managers said I like them because they're different.
• 1:04:42
SPEAKER_01: I had my own personality on the pitch.
• 1:04:44
SPEAKER_01: I hadn't been overcoached to death and had my own playing style that I developed playing Saturday or Sunday with my mates in competitive leagues instead of the academy set up.
• 1:04:53
SPEAKER_01: I was lucky enough to play with Wayne Rooney from 14 to 17.
• 1:04:56
SPEAKER_01: If he was coming through now, he'd be in academy setup at about five years old, getting coached to death and coaches trying to change him.
• 1:05:03
SPEAKER_01: Now that is one of the best write-ups I've seen in a long time.
• 1:05:08
SPEAKER_01: I'm not portraying the trust, I won't mention them.
• 1:05:10
SPEAKER_01: There's a lad being released who I know very well in Carl L this week.
• 1:05:13
SPEAKER_01: And all it's been his family and parents and his life from the age of eight, and he's missed so much time with his maids, but that's what you've got to do to try and but I kind of agree.
• 1:05:24
SPEAKER_01: We'll go into it next week, but this is for the viewers and this is for us.
• 1:05:28
SPEAKER_01: We'll read it out again next week.
• 1:05:30
SPEAKER_01: But I just thought that is top draw thinking points.
• 1:05:33
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 1:05:34
SPEAKER_01: As I've said, I've played with players who come in after a week's trial at the same age of the YTS and they usually get signed.
• 1:05:41
SPEAKER_01: Kevin Kyle, Danny Graham at Middlesbrough, because he got tucked from Chester Street, Danny Gri uh uh guy Radine up here, Kevin Kyle at Sunderland.
• 1:05:48
SPEAKER_01: Ask the gaffers what the scene in him, they said because he's different.
• 1:05:53
  SPEAKER_01: No, it's a it's brilliant, isn't it?
• 1:05:54
  SPEAKER_01: And it's again, I don't think there's rights and wrongs.
• 1:05:57
  SPEAKER_01: I think it's just people's roots.
• 1:06:00
SPEAKER_01: So different, do you know what I mean?
• 1:06:01
SPEAKER_01: Than you mentioned Wayne Rooney there, like he played like a street street player, do you know?
• 1:06:06
SPEAKER_01: Not overcoached, not kind of just fitting into a system where everybody's the same and imagine how frustrated Rooney would have been on Sunday.
• 1:06:13
SPEAKER_01: For either team, in a way, waiting for that, but he would've he would have came off that way.
• 1:06:17
SPEAKER_01: Okay, we've sent it for one and played every single time.
• 1:06:21
SPEAKER_01: So could you imagine like spending the last couple of weeks like buzzing for this game?
• 1:06:25
SPEAKER_01: How like I just can't wait to get out there.
• 1:06:28
SPEAKER_01: And then before you go out, by the looks of how they set up, you're getting asked to kind of just sit in there mid-block.
• 1:06:34
SPEAKER_01: Someone sent me a video the other day, all the shots playoff semi-final, first minute.
• 1:06:38
SPEAKER_01: I've topped the lad, but I've topped Murph as well.
• 1:06:40
  SPEAKER_01: I'm not asked that he's there.
• 1:06:41
SPEAKER_01: It's probably because he sat with it in a crossword in the pub with these lifts.
• 1:06:44
SPEAKER_01: But uh I've topped the lad and top Murph and give him a dead leg, but everyone just lifts it the way.
• 1:06:50
  SPEAKER_01: That's what I was saying.
• 1:06:50
  SPEAKER_01: Just that's a lift the knee.
• 1:06:51
SPEAKER_01: Just one like I I've mentioned this before, like John McGinn was brilliant at this.
• 1:06:55
SPEAKER_01: Seeing we played games and like especially some of the big games, and you were under the caution when we weren't we weren't really at it, he would come up with like a tackle or a run when he'd run through a few people, win a corner, or create a chance, and then see that that just gave everybody else a lift in for the next part of the game.
• 1:07:11
  SPEAKER_01: We're we're on top.
• 1:07:11
SPEAKER_00: Do you know here's a question for you?
