- 0:00Speaker 1: All right. Welcome back to ACC football addiction. We've got
- 0:04Speaker 1: Louisville and wake this week. I had Louisville with a
- 0:07Speaker 1: big win against SMU last week. I've got my buddy
- 0:10Speaker 1: Jeremy back on to chat about all of it. We
- 0:13Speaker 1: are presented by price picks. We're all new users who
- 0:15Speaker 1: play a $ 5 lineup and win get $ 150 in lineups instantly.
- 0:19Speaker 1: If they use code HMA, Jeremy, a massive win last week.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I told you I liked Louisville. I liked Louisville going away.
- 0:24Speaker 1: So Um, I, and I know you like Louisville too,
- 0:27Speaker 1: and like you're, you're built to like Louisville.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Sure. But I did predict a double digit victory as
- 0:33Speaker 2: well on the show.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yeah. I, I liked, no, I tell you, I was,
- 0:36Speaker 1: I was in Tuscaloosa watching the score up on the stadium.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I saw, I saw Louisville was up. Then I saw
- 0:41Speaker 1: this immediately and I was like, uh, hopefully that wasn't
- 0:42Speaker 1: just like the early barrage, but then. got out and
- 0:44Speaker 1: watched the end of it. And so I, yeah, I
- 0:48Speaker 1: was impressed when I rewatched the game. I was really impressed.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I didn't think Louisville was perfect by any means, but
- 0:52Speaker 1: they were by far the better team and got the
- 0:54Speaker 1: job done, which is what you want. You want that
- 0:57Speaker 1: nine more times and then we'll see what happens. But overall,
- 1:01Speaker 1: I thought Louisville going into that game was the more
- 1:04Speaker 1: consistent team. I thought if either team was going to
- 1:06Speaker 1: make more mistakes, it would probably be SMU. And it
- 1:10Speaker 1: kind of played out that way. Really good team. I
- 1:13Speaker 1: thought there were good teams on both sides. I thought
- 1:14Speaker 1: it was a lot of fun. But, you know, massive
- 1:17Speaker 1: win for Louisville, and now you turn your sights to Wake.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Absolutely. And it's like I was saying last week, the
- 1:22Speaker 2: key to the game was going to be defense. If
- 1:24Speaker 2: we could play the type of defense that we've played
- 1:26Speaker 2: all year, and I know it's a small sample size,
- 1:29Speaker 2: if we could force Jennings to make stupid decisions, which
- 1:32Speaker 2: we did, And we could come up with a couple
- 1:35Speaker 2: other miscues that this was going to be. The penalties
- 1:39Speaker 2: still had a buttload of penalties, but thankfully they did too.
- 1:44Speaker 2: So that didn't really play that big of a part.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Our running game was on point. The King host is just,
- 1:52Speaker 2: I don't know, man. I know we've talked about the
- 1:54Speaker 2: last couple of weeks and I was like, well, you know,
- 1:55Speaker 2: it's just one game. It's just like two games.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Well, now it's like three games.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Now it's like four games. It's like, well, wait a minute.
- 2:02Speaker 2: This guy, can throw the ball. He's a great decision maker.
- 2:06Speaker 2: He's like, and I know a lot of little fans
- 2:07Speaker 2: for whatever reason, like to crap all over a plumber,
- 2:11Speaker 2: but he made great decisions. If, if he had Lincoln's feet, uh,
- 2:16Speaker 2: ability to run, if you will.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I think he would have been able to, to be
- 2:22Speaker 2: the standard bear here, but he's still at double digit wins.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, we crapped the bed and the title
- 2:28Speaker 2: game to you all, but whatever. Um, But no, Keenan
- 2:31Speaker 2: Holtz is showing me stuff that I've never seen here
- 2:33Speaker 2: before at Louisville, and I love it.
- 2:38Speaker 1: The game this weekend, although there seems to be some
- 2:42Speaker 1: concern around Wake Forest's quarterback, I was ready. Okay. I
- 2:47Speaker 1: was just saying your praises for a few minutes.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I'm going to go the other way for a minute
- 2:52Speaker 1: and see how much you disagree. I don't worry about
- 2:55Speaker 1: Louisville in games like SMU or I know you mentioned
- 2:59Speaker 1: the ACC championship, but I don't worry about Louisville in
- 3:02Speaker 1: games like SMU or Florida state or Clemson. Like I
- 3:05Speaker 1: know they're going to show up, you know, where I
- 3:06Speaker 1: worry about.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Louisville, wait, Virginia, Boston college.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Wait, wait for it. You said that with a quarterback,
- 3:13Speaker 1: like on the Cal Stanford couple of years ago, like, yeah, it's,
- 3:18Speaker 1: it's not the big ones.
- 3:19Speaker 2: It's.
- 3:19Speaker 1: And, and, and to be fair, like that, that happens
- 3:22Speaker 1: with a lot of teams. it's hard to get up
- 3:24Speaker 1: emotionally 12 times. I understand that I was, and still am.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Cause I don't think he's been ruled out. We'll see
- 3:31Speaker 1: what happens with their QB, but I thought wake put
- 3:35Speaker 1: a heck of a performance on against Miami a couple
- 3:37Speaker 1: of weeks ago or no, just last week, last Friday.
- 3:41Speaker 1: And you got at Louisville coming off of a big
- 3:44Speaker 1: emotional game. You've got wake. That feels like maybe they
- 3:47Speaker 1: left a little bit on the table and could have
- 3:49Speaker 1: maybe played Miami even closer than that. 13 points. and
- 3:52Speaker 1: really had a chance to knock them off. And so, man,
- 3:56Speaker 1: they get another shot with an extra day of rest
- 3:59Speaker 1: to go out and then, okay, well, we couldn't beat
- 4:01Speaker 1: number one. Let's go beat number two. I worry about
- 4:04Speaker 1: this spot in general for Louisville based on what we've
- 4:08Speaker 1: seen from them the last few years. All of that
- 4:11Speaker 1: is undone if their QB can't go. I take it
- 4:14Speaker 1: all back if he's not there and doesn't play because
- 4:16Speaker 1: he's a difference maker. I really like that kid.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I don't know, man. Look, it's funny you said that
- 4:20Speaker 2: because on my way home, I was like, You know,
- 4:23Speaker 2: we pretty much have went blow for blow with Miami
- 4:28Speaker 2: since being in the ACC. Actually, I think we had
- 4:29Speaker 2: the upper hand on them, including last year's victory. Florida
- 4:34Speaker 2: State has been pretty even. Since we've been in the league,
- 4:38Speaker 2: maybe we're up 6-5 or maybe we're down 6-5. It's
- 4:42Speaker 2: been pretty close. And then Clemson, that's just been an anomaly.
- 4:47Speaker 2: But if you would have told me coming in, Wake
- 4:50Speaker 2: Forest– Virginia, and Boston College, and NC State. Let's throw
- 4:55Speaker 2: them in there too. I was salivating coming into the
- 4:58Speaker 2: ACC because I was like, those four teams are on
- 5:01Speaker 2: our schedule every year. That will just be like, that
- 5:04Speaker 2: would be great. We just need to split Florida State
- 5:06Speaker 2: and Miami, win those four games. We've had the most
- 5:11Speaker 2: problems with those teams. And that's so weird as a
- 5:15Speaker 2: Louisville fan because normally we– get up for the big games.
- 5:20Speaker 2: And it falls in line with what you were saying earlier.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I mean, the Sugar Bowl, the Orange Bowl, the Fiesta Bowl.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I mean, those are all games that we came into
- 5:32Speaker 2: and people didn't give us a chance and we went
- 5:34Speaker 2: out and we did our thing in those games. So, yeah,
- 5:38Speaker 2: I hate that, but you're right on that. It's the
- 5:41Speaker 2: lower echelon of teams that we've had the issues with.
- 5:44Speaker 2: It's inexplicable. I've been watching Wake Forest, Louisville. I sent
- 5:48Speaker 2: you the link to our story that had all the
- 5:51Speaker 2: Wake Forest games. If you would have told me coming
- 5:53Speaker 2: into this that our biggest rival would have been Florida
- 5:57Speaker 2: State and Wake Forest, I would have said, yeah, okay,
- 6:00Speaker 2: love the Florida State one. No, never Wake Forest. But
- 6:04Speaker 2: you've got the defensive game, which was the 20-19 game
- 6:07Speaker 2: that Louisville tried to give away multiple times, but it
- 6:09Speaker 2: picked six in the fourth quarter, I believe, by Walker,
- 6:14Speaker 2: sealed that victory for us. You've got the six turnover
- 6:17Speaker 2: in the third quarter game against Sam Hartman and crew. Uh,
- 6:21Speaker 2: you've got the, uh, Evan Conley game in 2020 or 2021,
- 6:26Speaker 2: I believe where our starting quarterback gets knocked out. We
- 6:29Speaker 2: knocked their starting quarterback out. Hartman comes in for them. Yeah.
- 6:34Speaker 2: We bust him up. The starting quarterback gets back in.
- 6:37Speaker 2: We beat him up again. And then we end up
- 6:40Speaker 2: with our third string quarterback, 45 yard touchdown, uh, with, with,
- 6:46Speaker 2: Just a couple minutes. I mean, there's just so many.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Lamar beat the tar out of them. That wasn't really contestable,
- 6:54Speaker 2: but they also beat us really bad, too. So that
- 6:57Speaker 2: team is a team. You could tell me they're starting quarterback,
- 7:01Speaker 2: starting running back, and starting everything was out this game.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I would still be concerned about them because those are
- 7:09Speaker 2: the type of teams. And I don't know why. I've
- 7:11Speaker 2: known multiple players on all these teams that have had
- 7:14Speaker 2: these struggles with the teams. At the lower echelon teams.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And they say they don't know what happens. They don't
- 7:22Speaker 2: prepare any less. They don't prepare any differently. And it
- 7:27Speaker 2: just goes that way. Last thing really quick about Wake Forest,
- 7:31Speaker 2: for right now anyway, I was talking with Deion Branch
- 7:34Speaker 2: yesterday and telling him, man, just make sure we don't have,
- 7:40Speaker 2: because even with Deion, when Deion was here, and that's
- 7:43Speaker 2: when I met Deion, Back in 2001, we had a
- 7:47Speaker 2: pretty decent year and then came out in the bowl
- 7:49Speaker 2: game against Colorado State of all teams and lost. You
- 7:54Speaker 2: put a good team in the bowl game, we're going
- 7:56Speaker 2: to play pretty well against them. You put a medium team,
- 7:58Speaker 2: it's a coin flip. So just the focus. And when
- 8:03Speaker 2: we talk about how many penalties that we've committed this
- 8:06Speaker 2: year so far, focus is the thing I'm concerned with.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I'll get right back to chatting with Jeremy, but first
- 8:12Speaker 1: let me just give some quick love to Alumni Hall.
- 8:15Speaker 1: If you're shopping for Louisville gear, if you're shopping online

- 8:38Speaker 1: for that code, go subscribe to us on audio podcasts,

- 8:49Speaker 1: You don't have to subscribe to the podcast, but go
- 8:52Speaker 1: save some money with alumni hall. Appreciate them for their support.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Now back to Jeremy.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I just, I wonder if it is, you talk about
- 8:58Speaker 1: like reasoning and stuff. I just wonder if it is
- 9:00Speaker 1: like truly getting up. Like, I think it's easy to
- 9:02Speaker 1: get up. when SMU comes, it'll be easy next Friday
- 9:06Speaker 1: when Florida state comes, no matter where they're at, you know,
- 9:08Speaker 1: kind of in their season, just because of the logo,
- 9:11Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, wake forest deserves every bit of
- 9:12Speaker 1: the respect right now. I think Jake Dickard's a great coach.
- 9:16Speaker 1: I think Gio Lopez, hopefully, I mean, you know, for,
- 9:19Speaker 1: for Louisville sake, maybe you'd rather I'm not, but like,
- 9:21Speaker 1: I think Gio Lopez is a really good quarterback who is,
- 9:26Speaker 1: you know, looked really good at times against Miami. It'll
- 9:29Speaker 1: make that game more entertaining and, If he's there, now again,
- 9:32Speaker 1: for Louisville, you'd love for him to rest up, man.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Be ready for the rest of the season.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Chill out, chill out.
- 9:37Speaker 1: But yeah, no, I think they deserve a ton of
- 9:39Speaker 1: respect because he's built something pretty special there. He did
- 9:43Speaker 1: a good job coming in from Washington State and then
- 9:45Speaker 1: coming over. So I think they do present a challenge.
- 9:50Speaker 1: One of the things you talked about, I mean, that
- 9:51Speaker 1: feels pretty pertinent is if Louisville wants to get to
- 9:55Speaker 1: the places it needs to get to this year, the
- 9:58Speaker 1: penalties last week, the mistakes, were somewhat counteracted by SMUs
- 10:02Speaker 1: and then Jennings' mistakes too, obviously. But that does need
- 10:05Speaker 1: to get cleaned up. And you would hope that against
- 10:07Speaker 1: an opponent that you are favored pretty good against, whether
- 10:09Speaker 1: Lopez is there or not, you'd hope that you can
- 10:11Speaker 1: get some of that stuff kind of cleaned up this week.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Absolutely. And the stuff we're doing now, again, we talked
- 10:17Speaker 2: last week, there's good penalties and bad penalties. We had
- 10:20Speaker 2: a couple times where we hit, not a couple times,
- 10:24Speaker 2: we had one time where we hit Jennings late. I
- 10:26Speaker 2: was okay with that because you can put their leader
- 10:30Speaker 2: out of the game. Sure, maybe the second string guys,
- 10:33Speaker 2: we've seen it before. Evan Conley come in and threw
- 10:35Speaker 2: for like a million yards. We scored 63 points, 100 touchdowns. Now,
- 10:39Speaker 2: only one of those things are true, but you just
- 10:43Speaker 2: never know. But you can give yourself a better chance
- 10:45Speaker 2: if you knock out one of their star players. It's
- 10:48Speaker 2: the false starts. It's the procedural stuff. It's all the unnecessary,
- 10:55Speaker 2: blocking the bag, just all that stuff that just drives
- 10:59Speaker 2: you crazy. And I played football. I played football at Louisville.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I played football in high school. I knew when– and
- 11:06Speaker 2: I'm not saying I'm perfect or I was perfect, but
- 11:10Speaker 2: I knew not to do certain things. And it seems
- 11:13Speaker 2: like some of these guys are– are still doing it anyway,
- 11:18Speaker 2: and I don't know, man. I'm not at practice every
- 11:21Speaker 2: day of the week. I'm there quite often. It doesn't
- 11:24Speaker 2: seem like these things are happening at practice. It seems
- 11:27Speaker 2: like maybe guys are getting too amped. You see things
- 11:31Speaker 2: like late hits, and you're like, man, come on, man.
- 11:33Speaker 2: You should know. I know you do that, too. Just
- 11:36Speaker 2: every game, it seems like there's multiple times for us
- 11:38Speaker 2: this season so far. We're like, no, don't do it.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Oh, crap.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Come on, man. But, again, we knocked Ole Miss' quarterback
- 11:49Speaker 2: out a couple times, and they're running back out, and
- 11:52Speaker 2: we knocked Jennings out. Now, Jennings came back. But, yeah,
- 11:57Speaker 2: it's just the focus has to be there, and we
- 12:01Speaker 2: will be favored in every game going down the stretch.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Got to make the most of it. Can't have a–
- 12:08Speaker 2: they call it– now, I don't call it this, but
- 12:11Speaker 2: they call it a Brom blunder game. And Purdue, he
- 12:14Speaker 2: had one every year. He's had one at Louisville so
- 12:17Speaker 2: far every year. I've given him the benefit of the doubt.
- 12:24Speaker 2: This year, if we're serious about being a college football
- 12:28Speaker 2: playoff team, we cannot have a Brahm blunder this year.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Are we better than the rest of the teams on
- 12:35Speaker 2: our schedule? I truly believe we are. We've got to
- 12:38Speaker 2: play like it, and that includes focus.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Last week, Rafael ran for 197 yards for SMU. He
- 12:47Speaker 1: did have the big chunk of 40, but that was
- 12:51Speaker 1: on 24 carries. He averaged over eight yards a carry,
- 12:53Speaker 1: so it's not like he just had two long explosives
- 12:55Speaker 1: and then you bottled him up for the rest of
- 12:57Speaker 1: the night. He was pretty consistent. It didn't take him
- 12:59Speaker 1: 40 rushes to get there. Wake's got, is it Clark
- 13:03Speaker 1: there at Wake right now? I mean, they've got some
- 13:06Speaker 1: running backs that can that can, you know, move fairly well.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I also think that with with Wake's passing game, which
- 13:12Speaker 1: is where I maybe have a little bit more confidence
- 13:15Speaker 1: in Louisville, Wake's passing game also not bad. So just
- 13:20Speaker 1: thoughts around, you know, being able to be a little
- 13:23Speaker 1: bit better. in the trenches on the ground, uh, against, uh,
- 13:27Speaker 1: I don't think wake has an elite running game by
- 13:29Speaker 1: any means, but I think they do a decent job
- 13:31Speaker 1: with yeah. Ty Clark, the third, um, who honestly only
- 13:34Speaker 1: had one carry against Miami, um, but has, has led
- 13:37Speaker 1: their team in rushing this year and has a pretty
- 13:39Speaker 1: good average too.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Absolutely. Look, I know it takes some running backs 28
- 13:43Speaker 2: times to get that amount of yards. I mean, he
- 13:45Speaker 2: wanted only took him 12, but whatever, uh, Isaac, it
- 13:49Speaker 2: would take him less than that. If we could get
- 13:51Speaker 2: him going, but I'm of the mindset that I would
- 13:54Speaker 2: rather give up the yards on the ground than the
- 13:57Speaker 2: yards to the air. And I said that in a
- 13:58Speaker 2: pregame show last week, I said, if we can force
- 14:01Speaker 2: Jennings to hand the ball off more and not make
- 14:04Speaker 2: as many plays through the air, that's going to run
- 14:06Speaker 2: time out. That's going to run the clock. That's going
- 14:09Speaker 2: to go to our favor. If we can make them
- 14:12Speaker 2: make mistakes, we can methodically just take this game away
- 14:17Speaker 2: from them while the ball is in their hands. And, um,
- 14:22Speaker 2: that's what i'm still that same mindset if we let
- 14:26Speaker 2: the running back get a little loose it's okay um
- 14:30Speaker 2: but we have a really good rush defense so i'm
- 14:32Speaker 2: not really sure what happened i think we were so
- 14:35Speaker 2: focused on jennings last week that we let rafael uh
- 14:39Speaker 2: have a little bit more maybe we didn't think he
- 14:41Speaker 2: or maybe we were okay with him him getting what
- 14:43Speaker 2: he got just as long as it wasn't jennings leading
- 14:48Speaker 2: 40 second drives down the field so um not really
- 14:53Speaker 2: too familiar with Wake Forest's run game. But at this point,
- 14:58Speaker 2: with the quarterback being questionable, you just don't know. This
- 15:03Speaker 2: could be, we could come out and win 69 to nothing,
- 15:07Speaker 2: or we could come out and it'd be 28-24. It's just,
- 15:12Speaker 2: you don't know. Again, I worry about the focus. I
- 15:16Speaker 2: worry about them. And this is not just Louisville, any team.
- 15:20Speaker 2: When you're Ohio State playing FIU, you're going to be like, ah,
- 15:24Speaker 2: we can make a couple mistakes. If you're Michigan playing
- 15:27Speaker 2: Central Michigan and you get an extra second at the
- 15:30Speaker 2: end of the game, if you're playing a team that
- 15:35Speaker 2: on paper you should beat by a billion, you did
- 15:40Speaker 2: it my high school year, last game senior year of
- 15:42Speaker 2: high school. We had a chance to set the best
- 15:44Speaker 2: record that our school had ever had at 9-1. We
- 15:47Speaker 2: played the 0-9 Iroquois Raiders. Shout out to Iroquois. They
- 15:52Speaker 2: deserve my shout outs for a lifetime for this. And
- 15:57Speaker 2: we were out there, and we had a couple sloppy drives,
- 15:59Speaker 2: but we were out there playing. We were just out
- 16:01Speaker 2: there playing backyard football. We were like, well, this team
- 16:04Speaker 2: can't beat anybody all year. But they took advantage of
- 16:09Speaker 2: our mistakes in the second half, Because there was no
- 16:13Speaker 2: play clock here in Louisville at that time. They just
- 16:17Speaker 2: ran the ball, ran the clock out the second half.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Didn't have a chance. So that's what I'm worried about.
- 16:22Speaker 2: I'm worried about us not taking them seriously. But in
- 16:25Speaker 2: the same thing, I'm also not as worried about that.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Because as I said, talking to Deion, Deion said he
- 16:33Speaker 2: was going to make sure they were focused. Make sure
- 16:37Speaker 2: he talked to the guys about being overzealous and overconfident.
- 16:41Speaker 2: So I'm not too worried about a close game this
- 16:45Speaker 2: week as I would be in a different week because
- 16:49Speaker 2: these guys know that Wake Forest is legitimately, I would say,
- 16:55Speaker 2: behind Miami and Florida State, our number three rival. We've
- 17:00Speaker 2: beaten them when they were ranked. I'm sorry. We've beaten
- 17:05Speaker 2: them when they were ranked and we weren't ranked. They've
- 17:08Speaker 2: done really well against us when we were ranked and
- 17:10Speaker 2: they weren't. It's just, I can't explain it. It's just
- 17:14Speaker 2: an odd feud, odd rivalry, if you will. I'm not
- 17:18Speaker 2: sure it's a feud. But it's an odd rivalry, and
- 17:22Speaker 2: it's one that you've got to take serious. Because, again,
- 17:25Speaker 2: you could lay out all the records for all the teams.
- 17:28Speaker 2: There is not, to me, there is not a week,
- 17:33Speaker 2: a perennial week team in the ACC, whereas you could
- 17:36Speaker 2: look to a conference like, let's go ahead to the
- 17:38Speaker 2: Hot Topic Conference, the SEC, You've got two teams that
- 17:42Speaker 2: are normally doormats every year. It's either Vandy or it's
- 17:45Speaker 2: that blue team down the road normally. In the Big Ten,
- 17:49Speaker 2: it's normally Purdue. It was IU. I still cannot stand.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Or Illinois. You know, there's always a couple. I don't see.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Maybe that's conference homerism in me. I don't intend for
- 18:03Speaker 2: it to be that way. But just by going through
- 18:06Speaker 2: the experience, I have not experienced a team that I've
- 18:09Speaker 2: been like, we're going to destroy them every year when
- 18:12Speaker 2: we play them. It's just not there.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Wake, Louisville won the first four games of this all-time series.
- 18:18Speaker 1: It's three and three in the last six, so it
- 18:20Speaker 1: does kind of speak to some of what we were
- 18:22Speaker 1: talking about. They certainly have been more competitive since 2017.
- 18:24Speaker 1: They won the first two, then you guys won two,
- 18:26Speaker 1: then they won one, and you guys won in 2022.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I do like Louisville in this one. I think Keenholz
- 18:32Speaker 1: is too good. I think Brown presents too big of
- 18:34Speaker 1: a problem for them. Brown is through the first. Rafael
- 18:38Speaker 1: had a good game last week. But yeah, through the
- 18:41Speaker 1: first three games of the year, I think Brown's probably
- 18:43Speaker 1: my leader for running back in this conference. And the
- 18:46Speaker 1: Miami guys have kind of been held down and banged
- 18:48Speaker 1: up at times. So Brown's my leader in the, in
- 18:50Speaker 1: the conference at running back. Keen holes is a, to me,
- 18:52Speaker 1: a top three quarterback in the league as well, which
- 18:54Speaker 1: with some really good quarterback play all over. So I
- 18:56Speaker 1: think you guys will be too much. I do think
- 18:58Speaker 1: you win. It might be closer because I do think
- 19:01Speaker 1: that this is a close game that both teams play. Well,
- 19:04Speaker 1: it'll be close to me. If geo plays, if geo
- 19:05Speaker 1: doesn't play, then I think Louisville kind of wins going away,
- 19:08Speaker 1: and the game is less intriguing. So for me, selfishly,
- 19:11Speaker 1: I'm hoping he does play. But do you have a
- 19:13Speaker 1: score in this one?
- 19:14Speaker 2: I do. First off, I want to say this year
- 19:17Speaker 2: is one of the first times in a long time
- 19:18Speaker 2: where I feel like we legitimately have a top three
- 19:20Speaker 2: quarterback in the conference. Brown was the running back we thought,
- 19:24Speaker 2: but it's not the same Brown. Isaac Brown we thought
- 19:27Speaker 2: was going to be the guy that was leading this team,
- 19:30Speaker 2: and they've doubled and triple teamed him, and Kiwan's been
- 19:33Speaker 2: able to get in there. Kiwan's more physical. Isaac's more
- 19:37Speaker 2: of a running running back, if that makes sense. And
- 19:41Speaker 2: we've got a top three defense, too. I really feel
- 19:44Speaker 2: like you could line our defense up against anybody, and
- 19:47Speaker 2: we would hang really tight with them. At the beginning
- 19:51Speaker 2: of the week, I was leaning more towards 38-27, but
- 19:57Speaker 2: if the quarterback don't play, I think 42-17 should be
- 20:01Speaker 2: the ending margin there. I think that our guys are
- 20:05Speaker 2: getting used, again, Golly, man, thank you all so much
- 20:08Speaker 2: for letting McCoy go. We talked about this last week.
- 20:13Speaker 2: He made another play this week where he caught the ball,
- 20:16Speaker 2: and then it looked like he was playing on an
- 20:17Speaker 2: Etch-A-Sketch out there.
- 20:21Speaker 1: He's unreal.
- 20:24Speaker 2: That makes that guy that said something to you on
- 20:26Speaker 2: Twitter a couple weeks ago look even more stupid. Show
- 20:30Speaker 2: me a wide receiver tandem in the ACC that's as
- 20:34Speaker 2: good as Richardson and McCoy. Show me a second. Scratch that.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Show me a number two receiver that's as good as McCoy,
- 20:44Speaker 2: and I will argue that until I can get blue
- 20:48Speaker 2: in the face. He is one of the best route
- 20:50Speaker 2: runners I've ever seen. And don't forget, I've been around here.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I've been around Deion. I've been around Iben Green. I've
- 20:58Speaker 2: been around Devontae Parker, Jalen Smith, Des Fitzpatrick, Tutu Atwell.
- 21:06Speaker 2: This guy, Mario Urrutia, if I leave him out, he
- 21:10Speaker 2: will call me and he'll cuss me out. But it's true.
- 21:13Speaker 2: I mean, those guys are all... Harry Douglas, all fantastic.
- 21:16Speaker 2: McCoy's right up there as far as.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Yeah, he's so smooth. It's so natural for him. Yeah,
- 21:22Speaker 1: I don't think this is too lofty of a comparison. So.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Somebody don't clip this, but just the way that AB
- 21:30Speaker 1: used to look smooth running routes. Like, I don't think
- 21:34Speaker 1: he's Antonio Brown, right? Like as much as I'm over
- 21:36Speaker 1: the moon about McCoy and his talent, AB is an
- 21:38Speaker 1: NFL hall of famer. Let's give McCoy a couple of
- 21:40Speaker 1: years before I'm giving him a gold jacket, but route
- 21:44Speaker 1: running specifically, like the, the way that he looks fluid
- 21:48Speaker 1: in running routes is, is the first comparison I make again,
- 21:52Speaker 1: I'm not calling him AB. Don't jump down.
- 21:54Speaker 2: That road for that. Hold on really quickly. I'm creating
- 21:56Speaker 2: a thumbnail that says Florida State expert says the most outlet.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:59Speaker 2: So TJ is saying.
- 22:01Speaker 1: I tried to back that comparison off a little bit,
- 22:04Speaker 1: but somebody will be like.
- 22:04Speaker 2: TJ is saying McCoy is way better than Antonio Brown. Yeah.
- 22:07Speaker 2: I'm writing that down. We'll talk about that on our show.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Antonio Brown is a poor man's Luane McCoy. Okay.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Fair enough.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Fair enough. Jeremy, where can people follow you? Oh, so
- 22:16Speaker 1: what's your score? Oh, you already gave me that. No, no, no.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Where can people follow you? Where can they find your work?

- 23:11Speaker 1: a lot of, a lot of, a lot of discussion
- 23:13Speaker 1: as this year goes on. They're going to win a
- 23:14Speaker 1: lot of games. There's going to be a lot of talk.
