- 0:18the coffee plant's remarkable longevity, a living

- 0:25that what we call a coffee bean is actually the
- 0:28pit of a small fruit. That a coffee bean is the

- 0:34for every cup. So now you know. And now it's

- 2:53against the Trump administration to recover $20
- 2:56million in federal funding that was revoked last
- 3:00year for street upgrades in Roxbury. The funds
- 3:03were intended to enhance roadway safety, traffic
- 3:06flow, and public transit accessibility, including
- 3:09electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Mayor
- 3:13Michelle Wu, supported by U .S. Representative
- 3:16Ayanna Pressley, has requested a federal judge
- 3:19to reinstate the grant, which was initially allocated
- 3:22in 2022. The Trump administration claimed the
- 3:26funding was inconsistent with its priorities,
- 3:30while the Biden administration's guidelines allow
- 3:32for such projects. The lawsuit targets the US
- 3:36Department of Transportation and its officials,
- 3:39emphasizing the project's importance for the
- 3:41community. Now onto sports. Last night on Monday
- 3:51Night Football, the Chicago Pairs handled the
- 3:54Philadelphia Eagles 27 -7 at Soldier Field. With
- 4:00Caleb Williams sidelined by a hamstring injury,
- 4:0338 -year -old Case Keenum made his first start
- 4:06since 2023 and delivered 24 -34 for 247 yards
- 4:13and two touchdowns, no interceptions. Chicago
- 4:18scored on its opening drive and never trailed.
- 4:22Philadelphia's only points came as the clock
- 4:24expired in the first half and Jalen hurts, and
- 4:28that offense never found the rhythm, Keenum,
- 4:31set from the other sideline. Both teams sit at
- 4:34two and one through three weeks, but the bigger
- 4:37question is in Chicago, where Williams is expected
- 4:40out three to four weeks with a grade two strain.
- 4:44That means the Bears have to figure out how long
- 4:46they can sustain this level of play before their
- 4:49starter returns, while Philadelphia heads home
- 4:52to sort out what went wrong against a backup
- 4:55quarterback. In local sports, the Red Sox open
- 5:00the postseason tonight at Yankee Stadium, first
- 5:03pitch at 8 o 'clock. It's game one of a three
- 5:07-game series. Boston finished 87 -75. and dropped
- 5:12its last game to the Cubs, 6 -2, but the slate
- 5:16is wiped clean. Rookie lefty Peyton Tully gets
- 5:20the opener, a real show of trust from manager
- 5:23Chad Tracy. Kam Schlittler goes for the Yankees.
- 5:28Game 2 is tomorrow night at 8 o 'clock, and game
- 5:313 is Thursday at the same time. Wintonite and
- 5:35the pressure shifts to New York. On the ice,
- 5:39the Bruins open the season tonight at TD Garden
- 5:42against the Rangers, puck drop at 8 o 'clock.
- 5:46David Pasternak skates as captain for the first
- 5:49time, the 28th in franchise history, counting
- 5:52off a fourth straight, 100 -point season. Charlie
- 5:57McAvoy keeps an A, but is serving a six -game
- 6:00suspension for the slash on Buffalo's Zach Benson
- 6:03last April. That is a big hole on the blue line.
- 6:09Morgan Jicke, who led the team with 39 goals,
- 6:12is back. Watch special teams and watch Jeremy
- 6:17Swamen in goal. A strong opener would settle
- 6:20a lot of nerves. In top news, SpaceX launched
- 6:26the company's Super Heavy Starship on its first
