- 0:00Speaker 1: What's better than two hours of Mark Simone? Three. The
- 0:04Speaker 1: Mark Simone Show. Now nine till noon weekdays.
- 0:10Speaker 2: 710WOR.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Well, I don't think it's going to work, but let's
- 0:13Speaker 1: see if the phone works here. Let's go to Bobby
- 0:19Speaker 1: in Salem.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Bobby, are you there?
- 0:21Speaker 3: Yes, we're here, Mark.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Yeah. Salem where? Oregon?
- 0:27Speaker 3: Salem, Connecticut.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Oh, there's a Salem in Connecticut? Where's that?
- 0:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it's Salem, Connecticut. All the witches escaped from Salem, Massachusetts,
- 0:35Speaker 3: came down to Connecticut, and they all harbored around this
- 0:38Speaker 3: place called the Devil's Hop Yard, which is East Haddam
- 0:41Speaker 3: in Salem. Anyway, that's not why I called.
- 0:44Speaker 1: All right.
- 0:44Speaker 3: The reason why I called.
- 0:46Speaker 1: You're happy you called. Sounds a little nuts, but we're
- 0:49Speaker 1: happy you called.
- 0:51Speaker 3: No, but that's the truth. They didn't have any people
- 0:54Speaker 3: burned at the stakes, but they did a lot of
- 0:56Speaker 3: animal work. sacrifice.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Ah, that's great. Sounds really nuts, doesn't it?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:03Speaker 3: What I was thinking about, look, the Trump administration, I
- 1:06Speaker 3: think what they, an idea I came up with that
- 1:08Speaker 3: they should do. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. I
- 1:10Speaker 3: think they should call for a suspension on all federal
- 1:13Speaker 3: taxes on all petroleum products for the next 90 days.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Everybody's complaining about gas.
- 1:18Speaker 1: You came up with that, huh?
- 1:20Speaker 3: Everybody's been saying that for a while.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Everybody's been saying that. No, it's a good idea. to
- 1:27Speaker 1: do that.
- 1:27Speaker 3: That's for the federal government. But then what they should do,
- 1:30Speaker 3: they should put out a list of all the states
- 1:33Speaker 3: that have the highest taxes on petroleum products.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Yeah. No, we got it.
- 1:37Speaker 3: We got it. We got it.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Bobby, it's a good idea. Let's get rid of Bobby.
- 1:41Speaker 1: It's a good idea. But you know who did it? Actually,
- 1:45Speaker 1: everybody's been talking about doing it. They should do that
- 1:46Speaker 1: in New York. The tax on gas is like 75
- 1:49Speaker 1: cents a gallon. Just lift it for 60 days. They
- 1:52Speaker 1: did it in Texas. Abbott removed The gas tax, I think,
- 1:55Speaker 1: for 60 days, and then he can keep doing that.
- 1:59Speaker 1: So let's try. Let me see here. Let me look
- 2:02Speaker 1: down this. Let's go to Cheryl in Farmingdale. Cheryl, how
- 2:06Speaker 1: are you doing? Cheryl?
- 2:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm here.
- 2:12Speaker 1: You're on. Cheryl, go ahead.
- 2:15Speaker 4: I have a couple of questions about the Lindsay Clancy case.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Yes.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Okay. How come she can talk to him but not
- 2:24Speaker 4: to the first three sponsors? That doesn't make sense.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Well, that's a good question.
- 2:28Speaker 4: When he supposedly found her outside underneath the window. Yeah.
- 2:34Speaker 4: And then she was a nurse. She would know where
- 2:36Speaker 4: the main artery is in her wrist.
- 2:38Speaker 3: You cut that, you bleed out.
- 2:39Speaker 1: That's a very good point. That's an excellent point. Yeah,
- 2:42Speaker 1: she claimed that she tried to commit suicide, but she
- 2:46Speaker 1: cut the wrong vein and she didn't know. But it's
- 2:48Speaker 1: a very good point. She's a nurse. she would have
- 2:52Speaker 1: known how to hit the right vein. So yeah, the
- 2:54Speaker 1: whole story, it's just crazy. Let's go to Chris in Manhattan. Chris,
- 3:00Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 3:01Speaker 2: I'm okay. How are you, Mark?
- 3:03Speaker 4: Good.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Good.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Listen, last time I called, you said I was a
- 3:07Speaker 2: reverse barometer because I said that we're going to get smoked.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You're a panicking and whatever he says never happens.
- 3:14Speaker 2: After that, Ann Coulter called up and used the word
- 3:17Speaker 2: bloodbath also. And you just had the other guy on
- 3:19Speaker 2: saying it doesn't look good that we're going to lose
- 3:21Speaker 2: the House and maybe the Senate. What do we do
- 3:25Speaker 2: to prepare for this?
- 3:26Speaker 1: Well, Ed Rollins I would worry about because he knows
- 3:29Speaker 1: his stuff. But if you say we're going to lose,
- 3:31Speaker 1: then we're probably going to win because, again.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Okay, well, I hope I'm wrong. But really, I mean,
- 3:36Speaker 2: everything that's going to happen to us was done to
- 3:38Speaker 2: us by Trump. I mean, when I think about what
- 3:40Speaker 2: his accomplishments now— I think of the gold in the
- 3:43Speaker 2: White House. I think of him building arches to himself
- 3:47Speaker 2: like Napoleon.
- 3:47Speaker 1: But that has nothing to do with the subject. That
- 3:51Speaker 1: doesn't mean it. It's like what color tie he wore.
- 3:53Speaker 1: It has nothing to do with anything.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I'm not so happy with him now.
- 3:56Speaker 1: You were never happy with him. You always were upset
- 3:59Speaker 1: with him.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I love him. I voted for him three times.
- 4:02Speaker 1: If you're worried about the ballroom, you're way off.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Or gold.
- 4:08Speaker 1: His decorating taste is silly. But that has nothing to
- 4:10Speaker 1: do with anything. Nothing to do with anything. His economic
- 4:14Speaker 1: achievements are amazing. We've had 80 records in the stock
- 4:18Speaker 1: market in the last year and a half. Wages are up.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Median income is up. Poverty level, lowest rate ever. The
- 4:27Speaker 1: border has been sealed. He's gotten a million criminals out
- 4:31Speaker 1: of the country. That's all pretty good stuff. The arch
- 4:34Speaker 1: is silly, but that doesn't matter. It doesn't mean anything.
- 4:36Speaker 1: It's just a little side stuff. So don't worry about it, Chris.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Let's go to Uh, let's go to
- 4:43Speaker 1: Steve in Brooklyn. Steve, how you doing?
- 4:47Speaker 4: Good, Mark. I got two points to make if, uh,
- 4:51Speaker 4: if I can make them and, uh, let's.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Hear the first one. Then we'll decide if we want
- 4:54Speaker 1: to hear the second one.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Yeah. Oh, okay.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Sure.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Okay. First thing is, um, the P Diddy. Yeah. We
- 5:01Speaker 4: were talking about P Diddy before, right? Yeah. Before, I
- 5:05Speaker 4: think you should always mention when you first that they dropped, uh,
- 5:11Speaker 4: two charges, beating his girlfriend and the gun charge, you're guaranteed,
- 5:16Speaker 4: especially the gun charge, where they want to prosecute anybody
- 5:19Speaker 4: for gun charges, but yet they drop it for him.
- 5:22Speaker 1: All right, not so fascinating, but give us the second one.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Okay, sorry. The second one is like, still don't see
- 5:32Speaker 4: anybody getting prosecuted for, especially politicians for crimes, especially what
- 5:39Speaker 4: they would lying for Trump and then, like, the fraud
- 5:44Speaker 4: with Medicare.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I know what you're saying. You know, the
- 5:47Speaker 1: problem is the criminal referral, whether it's a Fauci type
- 5:51Speaker 1: or something like that. But, you know, the problem is
- 5:53Speaker 1: it's D.C. You've got these left-wing judges. If you're a
- 5:56Speaker 1: Trump hater, they'll never prosecute you, and that's part of
- 5:58Speaker 1: the problem. Hey, let's go to Meryl in, what is that, Hardison,
- 6:03Speaker 1: New Jersey. Meryl, are you there?
- 6:05Speaker 5: Yes, I'm here. Hi, Mark.
- 6:07Speaker 1: How are you?
- 6:07Speaker 2: Good.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Good.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Long-time listener, a little nervous to call.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Don't be nervous. Don't be nervous. No reason to be nervous.
- 6:16Speaker 1: There's only a few million people listening. If you make
- 6:18Speaker 1: any mistake, you'll be humiliated and embarrassed for the rest
- 6:21Speaker 1: of your life. Don't be nervous. One slip and you
- 6:24Speaker 1: could be laughed at everywhere for years. Don't worry.
- 6:28Speaker 5: I'm more nervous.
- 6:29Speaker 1: No, don't be nervous.
- 6:30Speaker 5: I have a question. I keep certain liberal friends are
- 6:33Speaker 5: telling me that The Trump family has made billions since
- 6:36Speaker 5: he became president. And I tried to look it up,
- 6:39Speaker 5: and they keep all the articles sounding like corruption, which
- 6:42Speaker 5: I just don't believe.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Well, actually, they have made billions of dollars in the
- 6:47Speaker 1: last couple of years. What they forget to tell you
- 6:48Speaker 1: is before he was president, they were making billions of dollars.
- 6:52Speaker 1: They've been doing it all along.
- 6:54Speaker 5: Well, that's what I wondered. Is it from his investments
- 6:56Speaker 5: in the stock market?
- 6:57Speaker 1: Yeah, there's Bitcoin, and they're selling all kinds of stuff,
- 7:00Speaker 1: and they do that. Every president has got a brother,
- 7:04Speaker 1: an uncle, a cousin who's profiting off the presidency from
- 7:08Speaker 1: Billy Carter to Roger Clinton to whoever. It always happens.
- 7:12Speaker 1: The difference is they were all like bumbling idiots who
- 7:16Speaker 1: didn't know anything about business. In this case, these Trump
- 7:20Speaker 1: kids are like billionaires to begin with. They were billionaires
- 7:23Speaker 1: before Trump got elected. They're running a multibillion-dollar international business,
- 7:29Speaker 1: so they're always making billions. I mean, these two kids
- 7:33Speaker 1: are building hotels and resorts and golf courses. Go to
- 7:39Speaker 1: the Trump Organization website. Look at the hotels they have
- 7:43Speaker 1: around the world. They've got 100-story skyscrapers, hundreds of them
- 7:46Speaker 1: all over the world. You make billions when you do
- 7:49Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. They were already making billions. Hey,
- 7:52Speaker 1: when we come back, Ann Coulter, she'll be with us
- 7:54Speaker 1: next on 710WOR.
