- 1:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Happy Halloween, Happy Halloween. We're gonna get a Halloween
- 1:36Speaker 2: weather man. This is a nice have nice cool weather.
- 1:39Speaker 2: It was actually chili as hell this morning.
- 1:40Speaker 5: It's actually this is what we should be experiencing in January.
- 1:44Speaker 5: Really yeah, I mean we didn't even make it to
- 1:47Speaker 5: seventy today.
- 1:47Speaker 3: No, no, no, it's great.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Yeah, it's the coldest air we've had since early March.
- 1:51Speaker 3: I got on my bike and started I was halfway
- 1:53Speaker 3: down the block. I'm like, whoa, I can use long sleeves. Yeah,
- 1:57Speaker 3: am I doing here?
- 1:58Speaker 2: Put on like I had to put on like socks
- 2:00Speaker 2: and like a long sleeve shirt in the house this morning.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Wow, it was great. I am very the house that big.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I couldn't afford that.
- 2:07Speaker 5: Seriously, right in a little room. I wonder do you
- 2:11Speaker 5: do you? You know, lock off the west wing and
- 2:14Speaker 5: just use kidding, but I am proud. I did not
- 2:17Speaker 5: put the heat on yet.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't do that. We don't do that for
- 2:19Speaker 3: a while.
- 2:20Speaker 5: I will do that.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Well, we don't use that.
- 2:22Speaker 2: That doesn't come on for a little bit, because we'll
- 2:24Speaker 2: wheel pajama up or you know, will will sweat pants
- 2:26Speaker 2: and socks.
- 2:27Speaker 3: We'll do that thing until until we turn the heat on.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Because I don't tell you. I'm gonna be honest with you.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I don't like the way it smells.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Well, it's just that first hit.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't like the way that they always say
- 2:37Speaker 2: that you're addicted.
- 2:39Speaker 5: Well, you know it's funny is that I haven't used
- 2:42Speaker 5: our heat necessarily. But what I have used is our
- 2:44Speaker 5: little Dura flame insert for the fireplace. We can't use
- 2:49Speaker 5: our fireplace space heater.
- 2:51Speaker 3: It's great. It heated up the.
- 2:53Speaker 5: You know, got it up to seventy four in the
- 2:55Speaker 5: house this morning. Very please buy.
- 2:56Speaker 2: That power bill. Probably want to be affected by it
- 2:58Speaker 2: at all?
- 2:59Speaker 5: No, not compared to putting the heat on.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Well, honestly, I don't care for it because again, the
- 3:05Speaker 2: way it smells like here I am, and it's it
- 3:08Speaker 2: just has that burning, electrical burning smell to it. I
- 3:12Speaker 2: don't care for.
- 3:12Speaker 5: It's just the dust being burnt off your coil.
- 3:15Speaker 2: And I would I would rather be cold than be
- 3:18Speaker 2: warm comfortable in my house with artificial heat for some reason.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Do you know what I'm saying?
- 3:22Speaker 5: I do because I know a lot of folks who
- 3:24Speaker 5: didn't grow up with AC feel the same way about
- 3:26Speaker 5: artificial cold air. Right, Okay, so let me ask you
- 3:28Speaker 5: if they'd rather keep the windows open.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Let me ask you a really stupid question. I did
- 3:32Speaker 2: I our hurricane stupid the other day. Let me do
- 3:35Speaker 2: let me do heating and cooling stupid today? Okay, okay,
- 3:37Speaker 2: allowed me. Is a coold seventy two degrees the same
- 3:44Speaker 2: as a warmed seventy two degrees?
- 3:47Speaker 5: I do not believe so, because I know I am
- 3:49Speaker 5: comfortable with a cool seventy two degrees, but the environment
- 3:53Speaker 5: in our house changes a lot when that switches over
- 3:55Speaker 5: to heat.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Do you understand what I'm saying, Jack, heat it to
- 3:58Speaker 2: get it seventy two or cool it to get seventy two.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Yeah, it's different. That's a different seventy two. So like
- 4:04Speaker 3: what so in your home, figure electric heat what it's doing.
- 4:09Speaker 3: The air coming out doesn't have the same, has no humidity,
- 4:12Speaker 3: has no humidity. It's so it's a different air. It's
- 4:17Speaker 3: gotta it's different. It's got what it is. It's different.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It might not be different, but I think the humidity
- 4:23Speaker 2: level is what really drives that. And and I don't
- 4:26Speaker 2: like hot air in my face, right, And when I
- 4:28Speaker 2: get that hot air, like if I bring that, if
- 4:30Speaker 2: I turn the heat on and to get it up
- 4:32Speaker 2: to like seventy two degrees or something like that, I
- 4:34Speaker 2: would much rather have it a cold seventy two.
- 4:36Speaker 5: Well, if only I could figure out which way I'm
- 4:39Speaker 5: supposed to turn the fans on my uh, the blades
- 4:43Speaker 5: on the fans.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Your ceilings, exactly, it's supposed to be reversed in the summer.
- 4:47Speaker 3: It's exactly, but I can't remember which one it is.
- 4:49Speaker 2: It's opposite of what you think. Right, It doesn't make
- 4:51Speaker 2: any sense. So you would think blowing the air cool
- 4:54Speaker 2: down to you keeps you cooler. But I guess the
- 4:56Speaker 2: whole idea is because right is to pull hot air
- 5:00Speaker 2: up away from you.
- 5:01Speaker 5: That's what I'm assuming. I just can't figure out which
- 5:04Speaker 5: which way to hit that switch.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I gotta tell you, my stealing fans do not care
- 5:08Speaker 2: for that switch. No, they don't for some reason. When
- 5:10Speaker 2: I hit them, they go, then they'll go. They can
- 5:14Speaker 2: do a little like a little remix before they go.
- 5:16Speaker 5: They don't care for you stop them completely before you
- 5:19Speaker 5: flip the switch. Right, Hell no, Okay, Well then there
- 5:23Speaker 5: you go.
- 5:23Speaker 3: You just answered your own questioning down the block. I'm
- 5:26Speaker 3: gonna throw my car. I know it's not good. Is
- 5:32Speaker 3: that my transmission?
- 5:35Speaker 6: Oh?
- 5:36Speaker 5: I do like doing that in my six speed?
- 5:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but it was nice waking up this morning when
- 5:39Speaker 2: the nice little really was.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:41Speaker 7: I know.
- 5:41Speaker 2: We're gonna get an update from the the News Junkie
- 5:45Speaker 2: Roast last night. Jack was there along with our buddy
- 5:47Speaker 2: our boy Ross who performed there last night, Ryan Holmes, Angel.
- 5:51Speaker 2: They were all there last night at Judson's live sold
- 5:54Speaker 2: out show. So we'll get a report from Jack on
- 5:55Speaker 2: that a little bit later in the program. He was there,
- 5:58Speaker 2: I was it was fun.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Remember most today, that's not that's a good time.
- 6:02Speaker 2: He got at least two old fashions purchased for him.
- 6:05Speaker 2: He was bragging this morning.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Really he was three old fashions in a two hour period.
- 6:11Speaker 3: For how I didn't drink much.
- 6:12Speaker 5: That's explains why his car was still here when I
- 6:15Speaker 5: got here this afternoon.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Really, well, of.
- 6:18Speaker 5: Course is lovely, uh, miss Amy bradshaw Don.
- 6:21Speaker 2: You you can't drop a guy off drunk in his car,
- 6:23Speaker 2: can you?
- 6:24Speaker 3: When did you get here? I was here?
- 6:26Speaker 5: No, that was last night, and I was like, oh,
- 6:28Speaker 5: that's got a lot of real radio. I know who's
- 6:33Speaker 5: ah someone going on Taiwe own dude, Uh du duh.
- 6:37Speaker 2: All right, so we have a bunch of fun stuff
- 6:39Speaker 2: to talk about today. I want to know your best
- 6:41Speaker 2: background TV show, because I think one of the best
- 6:44Speaker 2: background TV shows got canceled today. Yeah, I'm telling you
- 6:49Speaker 2: one of my wife and I have used this show
- 6:51Speaker 2: for background four years. Like when we travel almost because
- 6:55Speaker 2: almost every television offering and almost every hotel that we've
- 7:00Speaker 2: ever traveled to offers this show. Stop don't don't guess, okay,
- 7:05Speaker 2: but we but I will tell you what it is.
- 7:07Speaker 2: And I want to know what your background TV show
- 7:09Speaker 2: of all time is. And I got flipped today on
- 7:12Speaker 2: something that I've been a staunch hater of for years,
- 7:16Speaker 2: and I got flipped today.
- 7:18Speaker 5: You're a Democrat.
- 7:19Speaker 3: I didn't stop.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I don't know what happened, and I don't know why
- 7:25Speaker 2: it happened to thank you, Mark. I don't know why
- 7:28Speaker 2: it got happened today or what happened today, but today
- 7:30Speaker 2: it happened.
- 7:31Speaker 5: You had a pumpkin spicette.
- 7:33Speaker 2: It is food related, but it wasn't a pumpkin spice Lotte,
- 7:36Speaker 2: and I don't mind those.
- 7:37Speaker 3: I just can't tell you out loud. Oops a food thing? Huh?
- 7:42Speaker 2: What did I have for lunch?
- 7:42Speaker 3: To think?
- 7:43Speaker 5: I don't know Chick fil A? Chick fil A all right?
- 7:47Speaker 2: For years, four years, right when they would say my pleasure,
- 7:53Speaker 2: I would say screw. The drive through was so fast
- 7:56Speaker 2: today I never even stopped. They literally had him my
- 7:58Speaker 2: food while was rolling. Really it was that good. It's
- 8:01Speaker 2: an art form.
- 8:03Speaker 3: I don't know who.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Needs to study what Chick fil A does, but I'm
- 8:06Speaker 2: saying it's every business.
- 8:08Speaker 5: In America, like starting with the d m VA.
- 8:10Speaker 3: I don't mindy dude, I don't know how they do it.
- 8:12Speaker 2: It's like they have esp It's like they know what
- 8:15Speaker 2: I'm gonna order before I pull up, and it's already
- 8:16Speaker 2: ready to go.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Come on, now, you know they have a direct link
- 8:19Speaker 5: to God.
- 8:19Speaker 3: I have a source and another fast drive through that
- 8:23Speaker 3: it's not quite at Chick fil A levels. But Starbucks
- 8:27Speaker 3: they don't. Like if you order a pumpkin spice latte
- 8:29Speaker 3: at Starbucks, they're told not to ask howter cold it
- 8:32Speaker 3: comes hot unless you say cold cold. Yeah, they don't
- 8:37Speaker 3: say hot or cold because they don't want the drive
- 8:41Speaker 3: through person to slow down the line, would rather remake
- 8:47Speaker 3: a wrong drink, I ask you. That is so.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Today I get my Chick fil A right, right, and
- 8:55Speaker 2: I always get the same thing. It's like four piece
- 8:58Speaker 2: meal with the fries and a sweet tea. I upgrade
- 9:01Speaker 2: it so I get the bigger fries in the larger drink.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Right. And I noticed that my fries had a lot
- 9:07Speaker 3: of those.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Chick fil A ends, Oh I love those. I hated them,
- 9:10Speaker 2: the potato butts. But today, for some reason, it's that's right. Today,
- 9:16Speaker 2: my fry order was loaded with those little potato butts,
- 9:22Speaker 2: and I was so pissed off, and that's already eating them.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I'm like, God, I started eating again, and I'm like,
- 9:28Speaker 2: all I want now is potato butts. So I don't
- 9:30Speaker 2: know if they do that, but all I want now
- 9:32Speaker 2: is potato butts.
- 9:34Speaker 3: And the I don't know what it is.
- 9:35Speaker 2: The way they fried them today, they were super crispy
- 9:38Speaker 2: on the outside, but like gushy on the inside.
- 9:40Speaker 3: That's what dog. They were perfect the bat I'm saying,
- 9:43Speaker 3: I got flipped.
- 9:46Speaker 5: Every time you say that, I think you get flipped off,
- 9:48Speaker 5: And then I think to myself, but have you seen
- 9:49Speaker 5: yourself drive?
- 9:51Speaker 3: I gotta flipped today of that. Every time he says
- 9:54Speaker 3: I got flipped, I thought he finally met the right
- 9:56Speaker 3: gay guy. Exactly.
- 9:58Speaker 2: I made a bunch of really nice gay dudes in
- 10:00Speaker 2: my life. None flippable, but a lot of them sweet dudes.
- 10:04Speaker 7: For sure.
- 10:04Speaker 2: We have a lot of stuff to talk about today
- 10:06Speaker 2: though it is Halloween. Yeah, I don't know what your
- 10:09Speaker 2: big plans are out there. I wouldn't mind hearing that.
- 10:11Speaker 2: You can do that via the texting service at seven
- 10:12Speaker 2: seven zero three one or with a talkback and there's
- 10:15Speaker 2: a little controversy, and I'm kind of interested to see
- 10:18Speaker 2: how you feel about it, Deborah mean, yeah, we're gonna
- 10:20Speaker 2: talk about this a little bit later. Have you seen
- 10:23Speaker 2: the embrace that JD Vance and Erica Kirk had on
- 10:27Speaker 2: stage at the Turning Point thing that they did here recently?
- 10:30Speaker 2: I think it was either last night and the night before.
- 10:31Speaker 5: I did not.
- 10:32Speaker 2: It's just getting a little bit of controversy. Now, again,
- 10:34Speaker 2: this is not slamming anybody. This is not a political
- 10:37Speaker 2: take at all. It's how they hugged, all right, and
- 10:40Speaker 2: then where she put her hand when they were hugging there.
- 10:44Speaker 2: It's everywhere today.
- 10:46Speaker 5: So I won't look until we do the Please Storry.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Please don't because I want to ask you what you
- 10:50Speaker 2: think about that, because you know there are ways. Because
- 10:52Speaker 2: obviously their friends, Charlie Kirk and JD Vance were very close.
- 10:56Speaker 5: Frosts and have known each other since I believe Kirk
- 10:59Speaker 5: was a freshman in college, like back to two thousand
- 11:01Speaker 5: and seven.
- 11:02Speaker 3: I'm absolutely a long long sign.
- 11:05Speaker 2: So they're very good friends. So obviously Erica Kirk and
- 11:08Speaker 2: JD Vance have known each other for a very long time.
- 11:11Speaker 5: So beyond just casual friends.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Way beyond casual friends, right, And they have an embrace
- 11:15Speaker 2: on stage. I believe he introduces her to come out.
- 11:17Speaker 2: She comes out, They have an embrace, and they move
- 11:19Speaker 2: on to the to the speech. It's the embrace that's
- 11:22Speaker 2: getting some attention. And I wanted to know what the
- 11:25Speaker 2: rule is from a woman. All Right, you and I
- 11:27Speaker 2: are workmates, Like you have a fiance. I've been married
- 11:30Speaker 2: for twenty years. And I'm interested because it really is.
- 11:33Speaker 2: It's kind of a company thing. Like I have a
- 11:36Speaker 2: way that I like when we take pictures or we
- 11:38Speaker 2: meet fans or whatever. I have a thing that I
- 11:41Speaker 2: do with my hands to make sure there's never a
- 11:44Speaker 2: question of what is happening or what could be happening or.
- 11:47Speaker 5: Well, after you give the elbow, it's definitely very yeah. Yeah,
- 11:50Speaker 5: it's the elbow first, and then the hands.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Oh yeah. His hands are always clenched in the fast exactly,
- 11:56Speaker 3: so his fingers aren't doing anything nothing.
- 11:58Speaker 2: I stick him up in the air like I just
- 12:00Speaker 2: holed over in Pine Hill. I act like there's a
- 12:03Speaker 2: sun rooven up them straight up in the air, not.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Doing anything wrong.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Yeah, you're like you're a black man who just got
- 12:09Speaker 2: pulled over exactly.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I'm just holding up this invisible thing. Just take the picture.
- 12:15Speaker 3: All right?
- 12:15Speaker 2: Uh, what do you got for news? Got a bunch
- 12:17Speaker 2: of stuff talk about today as well?
- 12:18Speaker 7: Well.
- 12:18Speaker 5: I have a real trick or treat for a newscast
- 12:21Speaker 5: coming up. First, we're going to cover the serious stuff,
- 12:24Speaker 5: a federal judge making a decision on snap funds, things
- 12:27Speaker 5: are returning to normal and Orlando International Airport. We're also
- 12:31Speaker 5: going to talk about what the top streaming horror movies are.
- 12:34Speaker 5: But I also have a true life crime fighters story
- 12:38Speaker 5: that you are You're just not ready to hear this?
- 12:40Speaker 3: Oh really, I like you.
- 12:41Speaker 5: You're not ready to hear who's joining the ranks of
- 12:43Speaker 5: search and rescue? Oh really, it's unbelievable. But we'll tell
- 12:47Speaker 5: you about that and more coming up next during JCS news.
- 12:50Speaker 2: You gotta do't forget check is your three o'clock keyword,
- 12:52Speaker 2: that's cgck. You just slide over to real Radio dot
- 12:55Speaker 2: FM and send that away for your chance at one
- 12:57Speaker 2: thousand dollars back with Dev's News and more than Jim
- 12:59Speaker 2: Colbert Show after this.
- 13:01Speaker 8: Sh Hey, guys, so there isn't a cool seventy two
- 13:06Speaker 8: degrees and a hot seventy two degrees feel different is
- 13:09Speaker 8: because in order for you to get to seventy two degrees,
- 13:12Speaker 8: it's got to be colder than seventy two degrees blown out.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Agree see unit.
- 13:17Speaker 8: Saying goes for heat, it has to be above seventy
- 13:19Speaker 8: two degrees blown out to heat up the rest of
- 13:22Speaker 8: your house.
- 13:23Speaker 3: So they're vastly different.
- 13:24Speaker 8: Temperature is going out from athy versus heat.
- 13:29Speaker 2: We know that, Yeah, we understand that. Dare you think
- 13:33Speaker 2: we're dumb?
- 13:33Speaker 3: But if you're in the other room, so it's colder
- 13:37Speaker 3: than seventy two outside, if the heat warms your house
- 13:40Speaker 3: to seventy two, or if it's hotter and it cools
- 13:43Speaker 3: it to seventy two, does that seventy two in your
- 13:46Speaker 3: house feel identical in both places? Yeah?
- 13:48Speaker 2: And I think we know that's not true. And I
- 13:49Speaker 2: don't care what this guy says.
- 13:50Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 13:51Speaker 2: If I don't care if he invented both sides of that,
- 13:53Speaker 2: you're never going to convince me that's true, all right?
- 13:56Speaker 3: Or seven?
- 13:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna be I'm gonna be straight up illogical
- 13:59Speaker 2: about this one, all right? Four oh seven nine one
- 14:01Speaker 2: six one four one text seven seven zero three one
- 14:04Speaker 2: check is your three fluck. You were at CGC cave.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Of course, go to real radio out of fidments and
- 14:09Speaker 2: that away for your chance in one thousand bucks.
- 14:11Speaker 3: I'm Jim. Jack is right over there and Deb has
- 14:13Speaker 3: your news.
- 14:15Speaker 1: It's time for JCS news. Wow, this guy got to
- 14:20Speaker 1: put his name on everything.
- 14:21Speaker 2: It's in my contracted here's the news on the Jim
- 14:24Speaker 2: Cober Show and Jason.
- 14:26Speaker 5: JCS news is brought to you by that mortgage guy
- 14:29Speaker 5: Don While you're toodling around tomorrow morning, give him a
- 14:32Speaker 5: listen when he's host of the Home Loans radio show.
- 14:35Speaker 5: A federal judge says the Trump administration must decide on
- 14:39Speaker 5: how they will release SNAP funds by Monday. The food
- 14:42Speaker 5: assistance program is set to expire tomorrow unless the government reopens,
- 14:46Speaker 5: impacting forty two million low income Americans who are enrolled.
- 14:50Speaker 5: The Massachusetts judge said the Trump administration must decide whether
- 14:53Speaker 5: to fully or partially fund SNAP using emergency funds. The
- 14:58Speaker 5: judge said she'll make a ruling regarding the funds once
- 15:01Speaker 5: she hears the White House's decision. The lawsuit was brought
- 15:04Speaker 5: by twenty five Democratic led states. It's not known if
- 15:07Speaker 5: the White House will appeal her ruling problem with a
- 15:11Speaker 5: bridge is disrupting residence in Lake County. Eustace's spring Ridge
- 15:16Speaker 5: Estates was evacuated last night after part of the bridge
- 15:19Speaker 5: to the neighborhood fell off and hit a pipe. Oh my,
- 15:22Speaker 5: as a precaution, the water to the neighborhood was shot
- 15:25Speaker 5: off and over twenty homes were evacuated. Fox thirty five
- 15:28Speaker 5: spoke to Eustace fire chief Michael Swanson's.
- 15:31Speaker 8: What's going on right now is the erosion is continuing.
- 15:34Speaker 2: The water is still running underneath the culvert.
- 15:37Speaker 3: That's the real problem that's undermining this.
- 15:39Speaker 2: As it drops every in it takes more support out
- 15:43Speaker 2: of it.
- 15:43Speaker 5: Yeah, and unfortunately the bridge is the only roadway leading
- 15:47Speaker 5: to that section of spring Ridge Estates that ends in
- 15:49Speaker 5: a cul de sac. The county is making arrangements for
- 15:52Speaker 5: residents to stay in hotels until repairs are made. Those
- 15:56Speaker 5: repairs are expected to begin today, but take a while.
- 15:58Speaker 3: You know what I read today.
- 15:59Speaker 2: The reason why they're really not they're not allowing people
- 16:02Speaker 2: to traverse the bridge is of course the bridge is,
- 16:04Speaker 2: but they said it because it was unsafe, because they
- 16:06Speaker 2: couldn't get fire and rescue in there in case something happened. Well, yeah,
- 16:10Speaker 2: I mean that was part of the whole thing, Like
- 16:11Speaker 2: you know, that's what I read first thing this morning.
- 16:13Speaker 2: It wasn't even about the structure of the bridge so much.
- 16:15Speaker 2: It was about like they couldn't get a fire truck
- 16:16Speaker 2: in there if a fire started, Well sign a waiver.
- 16:19Speaker 5: And another thing too, that.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Just because they got water under their Colbert.
- 16:25Speaker 5: The bridge, of course is owned by the ho Way,
- 16:27Speaker 5: so they've been working with the h Away. I was
- 16:29Speaker 5: interested about that too, because when they were talking about
- 16:32Speaker 5: the evacuations, they were talking about when I say, they
- 16:35Speaker 5: local newscasters seeing residents carrying everything from suitcases and pets
- 16:39Speaker 5: to babies and strollers, and I'm thinking, man, that must
- 16:42Speaker 5: mean it can't even handle the weight of their cars.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Rhight yeah, yeaheah. So all right.
- 16:47Speaker 5: In the meantime, Mount Dora is still dealing with the
- 16:49Speaker 5: effects of flooding. The city has been under a local
- 16:51Speaker 5: state of emergency since Sunday's heavy rainfall. Boil water notice
- 16:55Speaker 5: by the Way still in effect, although it was expected
- 16:58Speaker 5: to end some time today. I still haven't gotten any
- 17:01Speaker 5: word yet, but that was what I had heard yesterday.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Downtown businesses are seeing a big drop in revenue. One
- 17:08Speaker 5: woman tells Fox thirty five her business is down about
- 17:10Speaker 5: fifty percent compared to last year. And Chris said that
- 17:14Speaker 5: they've been getting a lot of calls because all people
- 17:16Speaker 5: are seeing is Wolf Branch Road right and Donnelly Street,
- 17:19Speaker 5: and they think the whole city has been destroyed by
- 17:21Speaker 5: all of that range.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Last weekend, just literally one entrance into the city closed
- 17:25Speaker 2: and that's it.
- 17:25Speaker 7: You know.
- 17:26Speaker 2: One of the things I saw this morning was and
- 17:27Speaker 2: obviously it must be bad because on every local news
- 17:30Speaker 2: station there was a blurb and uh saying, hey, look.
- 17:33Speaker 3: You know man, we're all come on in.
- 17:36Speaker 2: I mean, even though there's some flooding, we're all ready
- 17:39Speaker 2: to go.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Yeah, they need to work on some marketing. Maybe we
- 17:42Speaker 3: can like ID eight here, like maybe all this water
- 17:46Speaker 3: come to Mount Dora. Because all this water washed the
- 17:49Speaker 3: smell out.
- 17:52Speaker 2: They didn't get big blinking lights like they have when
- 17:55Speaker 2: they have big uh they have like when real radio
- 17:57Speaker 2: is there and they have all those lights. They put
- 17:59Speaker 2: those that on four forty. Want to let you know,
- 18:01Speaker 2: that's what they need to do.
- 18:02Speaker 5: There is a big event. Mayor James Holmitch is looking
- 18:04Speaker 5: on the bright side. He tells Spectrum News thirteen. The
- 18:07Speaker 5: city is fully opened. There's a plant and garden festival
- 18:09Speaker 5: this weekend and trick or treating downtown.
- 18:13Speaker 3: So that's a good mayor. I will tell you that
- 18:15Speaker 3: he is a good mayor with great taste.
- 18:17Speaker 5: That is a good mayor.
- 18:18Speaker 9: He I was going to say.
- 18:20Speaker 5: It has nothing to do with him being a p one,
- 18:21Speaker 5: doesn't Jack Hey, Along with Vince the city manager, he's
- 18:26Speaker 5: also a big.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Time listener, quality guy. There another one.
- 18:29Speaker 7: All right.
- 18:30Speaker 5: The FAA says things are returning to normal.
- 18:32Speaker 3: I'll believe it when I see it.
- 18:34Speaker 5: At the Orlando Airport after a morning of flight delays
- 18:37Speaker 5: and cancelations. We talked about this during you heard it
- 18:40Speaker 5: here first last night, delays ranging from three to twelve hours.
- 18:45Speaker 3: I heard six and a half.
- 18:46Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Mind numbing.
- 18:47Speaker 5: It mind numbing, especially if you have a connecting flight.
- 18:51Speaker 5: They were reported yesterday due to a lack of air
- 18:54Speaker 5: traffic controllers. We had storms in the northeast, and of
- 18:56Speaker 5: course the government shut down. Orlando International Airport says the
- 19:00Speaker 5: average delay was about two and a half hours.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Wouldn't even know how to react to that. I got
- 19:04Speaker 2: called one delay in my life coming back from Colorado.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Man the delay was two hours and I was already
- 19:09Speaker 2: tying in news with my wife's leggings.
- 19:12Speaker 3: I wanted it to end.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I'm I don't want to be in this airport even
- 19:16Speaker 2: one more second those leggings find me something about eight
- 19:20Speaker 2: to nine.
- 19:22Speaker 5: The FAA is reminding travelers really check your flight status
- 19:26Speaker 5: before even bothering to head to the airport.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Right for ten hours exactly, you could take a Spirit
- 19:34Speaker 2: flight to Chattanooga.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Just to find out it's canceled. All right.
- 19:37Speaker 5: In the other flight, news and investigation is underway after
- 19:40Speaker 5: a Jet Blue flight from cane Kun to Newark made
- 19:44Speaker 5: an emergency landing in Tampa.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Dude going to Newark, Yeah, felt the same way a
- 19:49Speaker 2: couple of weeks ago.
- 19:50Speaker 5: No due to a sudden drop in altitude.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Twelve thirty candy drunk. We've been handy drunks at eleven
- 20:01Speaker 2: ten This morning.
- 20:01Speaker 5: Flight twelve thirty was met by medical teams and at
- 20:04Speaker 5: least fifteen passengers were taken to hospitals with non life
- 20:07Speaker 5: threatening injuries.
- 20:09Speaker 11: We've got three people.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Ever, seemed like maybe elastoration in the head.
- 20:14Speaker 5: So Jeff Blue removed the aircraft from service for inspection,
- 20:18Speaker 5: and FAA confirmed a flight control issue.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Have you ever been on a plane that has had
- 20:23Speaker 2: a pretty bad drop?
- 20:24Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I watched a couple of them.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Ratch on our on a plane one time that I
- 20:31Speaker 2: think dropped one hundred feet at once.
- 20:33Speaker 3: In April two thousand and one, ying into Chicago on
- 20:36Speaker 3: a on the Miami Hurricanes charter flight. Yeah, a plane
- 20:40Speaker 3: so old.
- 20:40Speaker 2: I had ash trays in the in the Wow it
- 20:43Speaker 2: was you you left off the back of the thing.
- 20:45Speaker 3: You went out of its ass. Oh yeah, onto the tarmac.
- 20:48Speaker 2: That's how old this plane was. And we literally, I
- 20:50Speaker 2: mean it was the worst thing ever. It was. You
- 20:53Speaker 2: could charge people to ride that. They liked it because
- 20:55Speaker 2: it was like the best rollercoaster ever. That thing was
- 20:58Speaker 2: moving in directions planes that were not supposed to do that.
- 21:01Speaker 5: The only time I experienced that was flying back from England.
- 21:04Speaker 5: We got diverted to Miami because do you guys remember
- 21:07Speaker 5: there was that I want to say it was Harvey
- 21:08Speaker 5: was a huge hurricane back in the nineties. It was
- 21:11Speaker 5: the first time that Walt Disney World ever closed.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 21:15Speaker 5: So they diverted our flight to Miami thinking that they
- 21:17Speaker 5: were going to avoid the storm. Guess where the storm
- 21:19Speaker 5: went by Miami and as we're landing on the tarmac,
- 21:23Speaker 5: We're dropping so many feet so quickly that I'm thinking
- 21:28Speaker 5: there's no way we're not going to crash onto the runway. Somehow,
- 21:32Speaker 5: those pilots were able to land that plane without anything
- 21:36Speaker 5: bad happening. And when we walked off the planet, I said, hey,
- 21:38Speaker 5: will you those guys that just landed that American Airlines flight?
- 21:41Speaker 3: You said, yeah, yeah, thank you. Yeah.
- 21:44Speaker 2: We were flying with coaches who had been in the
- 21:46Speaker 2: NFL and been in professional coaching for years and had
- 21:49Speaker 2: taken thousands of flights, and they all said collectively that
- 21:52Speaker 2: was the worst one they'd ever been on. Really, well,
- 21:54Speaker 2: we all, I think we saw almost the wing hit
- 21:57Speaker 2: the ground as we were about to land, did.
- 21:58Speaker 3: We, I mean, did we not?
- 22:00Speaker 2: Three hundred pound lineman like almost ripping the seed out
- 22:03Speaker 2: in front of him?
- 22:05Speaker 3: Really? Oh yeah? Yeah, oh no.
- 22:07Speaker 2: And the whole time our buddy Jeff Howell making jokes
- 22:09Speaker 2: about it, and Daniel Dennis, famously hates flying, was on
- 22:13Speaker 2: that fly.
- 22:14Speaker 5: Oh no, oh no, I bet that didn't help him
- 22:16Speaker 5: at all. Well, officials say a full investigation will determine
- 22:19Speaker 5: what caused the incident. Now, the drop did happen as
- 22:21Speaker 5: strong winds moved through the area following a Colt front.
- 22:26Speaker 5: Marcos Lopez's estranged wife is accused of lying about her finances.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Marco's Lopez and half.
- 22:33Speaker 5: A David was filed last week claiming that Robin Severance
- 22:36Speaker 5: Lopez didn't disclose she has almost twenty thousand dollars in
- 22:40Speaker 5: the bank. Now. The problem with that is that she
- 22:43Speaker 5: had claimed she was so broke she couldn't afford the
- 22:46Speaker 5: ten dollars a day it costs for her GPS monitor.
- 22:50Speaker 3: I every think it's ten a day? Is it? Is
- 22:52Speaker 3: it tena day? I think, well, even if it's ten
- 22:54Speaker 3: a day? Dude?
- 22:55Speaker 5: Does a judge last week revoke Severance Lopez's bond. She
- 22:59Speaker 5: and Marcos Lopez are accused of running an a legal
- 23:01Speaker 5: gambling ring while Lopez was sheriff in Osciola County. He's
- 23:04Speaker 5: now suspended. She's now going to be probably in jail
- 23:07Speaker 5: until trial time when they've got all this video of
- 23:11Speaker 5: her going in and depositing funds at various banks. Why
- 23:14Speaker 5: would you take that kind of chance?
- 23:16Speaker 2: Man? I just I don't get it because you're a sleezebag.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Yeah, there you go, Dan, Dan Ding, all right, a
- 23:23Speaker 5: new police chief in Orange County is making history. I
- 23:26Speaker 5: think this is a really really cool story. Lavetta Quinn
- 23:30Speaker 5: Henry was sworn in yesterday as a Popka's first female
- 23:34Speaker 5: police chief. What makes the story extra special is she
- 23:38Speaker 5: replaces Michael McKinley, who retired. Now, Quinn Henry is from
- 23:41Speaker 5: a Popka and she graduated from a Popka high school
- 23:45Speaker 5: and now she's their very first female police chief. Very cool, that,
- 23:48Speaker 5: isn't it, she tells New six. It feels amazing and surreal.
- 23:53Speaker 7: All right.
- 23:54Speaker 5: When you think of divers who go into the water
- 23:57Speaker 5: for search and rescue missions, you like you think of humans, right.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Yeah, sure, like Navy seals and people of that nature.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Let's send ai, No, but maybe not just humans.
- 24:08Speaker 12: For long, we miss more recoveries than we get working
- 24:11Speaker 12: on loan visibility diving and forensic diving, and so I'm
- 24:15Speaker 12: trying to put the odds in our favor so we
- 24:17Speaker 12: get more recoveries. And that's that's what the otter is for.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Yeahs otters.
- 24:21Speaker 5: You hear that cute squeak in the background.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's right. Michael for sure is going to
- 24:26Speaker 3: be underwater drones.
- 24:30Speaker 5: Michael Hadzel of Peace Rivers Search and Rescue tell CBS
- 24:34Speaker 5: twelve in South Florida that Splash the otter is helping
- 24:38Speaker 5: law enforcement across the state to find human remains.
- 24:41Speaker 3: That's incredible, isn't it. Yeah?
- 24:43Speaker 5: That is The non nonprofit has trained Splash, who Hatzill
- 24:47Speaker 5: suggests is the only kidaver otter in the world. Damn
- 24:52Speaker 5: coldaver audit word that super smart, tremendously smart and so
- 24:58Speaker 5: can I take you?
- 24:59Speaker 2: I don't know in the animal kingdom, I don't know
- 25:02Speaker 2: that there's anything cuter than a mama otter turned over
- 25:05Speaker 2: with a baby otter off bell on its belly and
- 25:08Speaker 2: groomy that you know what, serial killers.
- 25:12Speaker 3: We'll get a.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Small glim exactly, a small glimpse of human when they
- 25:18Speaker 2: see that.
- 25:18Speaker 5: You can't, you can't. It's just cuteness. Feel good about
- 25:22Speaker 5: life now. Splash has participated in over twenty missions so
- 25:27Speaker 5: far and spent some time with law enforcement from Palm
- 25:30Speaker 5: Beach and Martin Counties. This week had some plans on
- 25:33Speaker 5: training another otter next year. All right, this is pretty
- 25:36Speaker 5: cool for a local story. The Kia Center now runs
- 25:39Speaker 5: on one hundred percent solar energy.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Amazing, that's pretty cool.
- 25:45Speaker 5: It is It's a major milestone for the city of Orlando,
- 25:47Speaker 5: which aims to be the most sustainable city in the Southeast.
- 25:51Speaker 5: So the achievement means that all activities at the Kia
- 25:54Speaker 5: Center are powered by the Sun. Orlando is on track
- 25:57Speaker 5: to achieve one clean energy for all all operations by.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Twenty twenty seven.
- 26:02Speaker 2: That's pretty cool.
- 26:03Speaker 5: That's very very cool.
- 26:05Speaker 7: All right.
- 26:06Speaker 5: Keeping trick or treating the little pedestrian safe is always challenging,
- 26:09Speaker 5: but holding a Halloween on a Friday makes it especially hazardous.
- 26:15Speaker 5: Doctor Patrick mulroney with John Hopkins All Children's Hospital in
- 26:18Speaker 5: Saint Petersburg says that's because kids are competing for street
- 26:22Speaker 5: space with grown ups.
- 26:24Speaker 3: We're gonna have families with young kids who are out,
- 26:27Speaker 3: you know, attempting to trick or treat, while we have
- 26:29Speaker 3: other people who are using those same roads to get
- 26:32Speaker 3: to parties or other events.
- 26:33Speaker 5: Yeah, Friday is also high school football.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Night in many areas.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Yea, let's just come on the Saturday closest to Halloween.
- 26:42Speaker 5: No, no, no, mulroney says drivers need to stay well
- 26:48Speaker 5: below the speed limit and residential areas tonight, especially for us.
- 26:51Speaker 5: You guys will be getting home like at the height
- 26:53Speaker 5: of trick or treating.
- 26:54Speaker 3: I'm always careful driving down my block. Yeah, on Halloween
- 26:58Speaker 3: because these they.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Just get they which says, hey, they got full candy
- 27:03Speaker 2: bars over here.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Next thing you know, everyone's running across the street.
- 27:06Speaker 2: They're not looking. No, And that's why I text and
- 27:08Speaker 2: drive tonight more than ever.
- 27:09Speaker 5: Yes, he encourages parents to add reflective tape to costumes
- 27:15Speaker 5: or some kind of illumination such as glow bracelets, but
- 27:18Speaker 5: poison control centers have said they've seen a dramatic increase
- 27:21Speaker 5: and then a number of phone calls made about those
- 27:23Speaker 5: glow products. Oh really, I guess kids, Yeah, licking the
- 27:27Speaker 5: glow stuff inside.
- 27:28Speaker 7: Dude.
- 27:28Speaker 5: We have to tell people not to eat laundry.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Podas or just say it's something you chew on, just
- 27:33Speaker 3: naturally chew on that that plastic is, you know, whether
- 27:37Speaker 3: it's the necklace, biting on it. Next thing you know,
- 27:41Speaker 3: you pierce it and you get that in your mouth.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Mom starts freaking out to have a sticker on it.
- 27:47Speaker 5: Just says this, don't be dumb.
- 27:49Speaker 2: What other glowing things do you eat? And then dot
- 27:53Speaker 2: dot dot dumbass.
- 27:57Speaker 5: Center of the year.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Right now, I see that you rob Sheryl's candy beads. Oh, sorry,
- 28:01Speaker 2: you blanker, you better taken all the twigs Deborah, Deborah,
- 28:05Speaker 2: I'm telling you right now, If I leave this studio
- 28:07Speaker 2: in three minutes and I walk over to Cheryl's office
- 28:10Speaker 2: and there's on a green Twigs bar waiting for me,
- 28:12Speaker 2: I'm coming over this counter, okay, in the green Twigs pack.
- 28:16Speaker 2: It's just a it's just a singular Twigs bar.
- 28:18Speaker 5: All I know is I got the last pack of Skittles,
- 28:21Speaker 5: and I'll fight all of you, all of you. You know,
- 28:24Speaker 5: you can have all the Twigs bars you want, but
- 28:26Speaker 5: I'll beat your ass.
- 28:27Speaker 3: You know, I'm so old school, you know what I
- 28:29Speaker 3: sifted out of that? But she has these new flavored
- 28:33Speaker 3: tutsi rolls. I went for the original little chocolate Midgies. Okay, yeah,
- 28:39Speaker 3: I don't know what it is, but I like them.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Did you have a phil Did you have a filling
- 28:43Speaker 2: you need to get rid of?
- 28:44Speaker 3: No, that's no, that's.
- 28:45Speaker 5: What sugar Daddy is, no doubt all right now, that's
- 28:50Speaker 5: not all is Daylight Saving time ends and standard time begins.
- 28:53Speaker 5: This Sunday, fire departments across Florida urging residents to check
- 28:56Speaker 5: and replace batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
- 29:00Speaker 5: as well. Working alarms can cut the risk of dying
- 29:04Speaker 5: in a home fire by half, according to National Safety Data.
- 29:07Speaker 5: Officials recommend testing alarms monthly, replacing units every ten years,
- 29:11Speaker 5: and installing them on every level of the home, or,
- 29:13Speaker 5: like most of us with a fire extinguisher, just hope
- 29:15Speaker 5: the damn thing works when you need it, or.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Just teach the kid how to put the reset button.
- 29:19Speaker 5: It's also a good time to check those fire extinguishers
- 29:22Speaker 5: and weather radios to stay prepared for emergencies. And did
- 29:25Speaker 5: you know dentists also say it's a good time to
- 29:28Speaker 5: change your toothbrush.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Really yep, And I know that it's about time for
- 29:32Speaker 3: every six months. Man me change claws at any.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Stray filament this morning? It's time for a new one.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Anything on a six month schedule, they you know, they
- 29:39Speaker 3: link it to when we change our cloth.
- 29:41Speaker 5: Exactly, anything to remind us, right, all right. The list
- 29:44Speaker 5: of America's most haunted states is out to study conducted
- 29:47Speaker 5: by legal US poker sites dot com.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Ok, whatever, don't even.
- 29:53Speaker 5: Know where has this state in first place?
- 29:55Speaker 3: Massachusetts?
- 29:58Speaker 11: Most o?
- 30:00Speaker 3: We just did this, yester did the city? What was
- 30:01Speaker 3: the city? It was a weird one. Oh, it was
- 30:05Speaker 3: like Chicago or something. New Jersey.
- 30:11Speaker 5: It was New York and Jersey City, Los Angeles, Chicago,
- 30:15Speaker 5: and Las Vegas.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Read the title again, what is it again?
- 30:18Speaker 5: So these are the most haunted states. Pennsylvania Okay, he
- 30:23Speaker 5: said New York. You said New York. I said Massachusetts,
- 30:26Speaker 5: and Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I said New Orleans yesterday.
- 30:30Speaker 5: Well it's California. According to the survey, California has this
- 30:36Speaker 5: many reported ghost sightings. I don't know, nearly four thousand,
- 30:42Speaker 5: rounding out the top five. Don't look at me like that,
- 30:44Speaker 5: Jimmy or touch my skittles. Delaware, Texas, New York, and Nevada.
- 30:52Speaker 5: Think the mining towns, right, California, the gold Rush, you know,
- 30:56Speaker 5: all of that kind of stuff.
- 30:57Speaker 2: West Virginia has one of the most haunted places out there.
- 30:59Speaker 2: That that's old old uh insane asylum. That penitentiary, Oh yeah,
- 31:02Speaker 2: or is it a prison? It's supposed to be gnarly.
- 31:05Speaker 5: Isn't that the one they based uh shawshank on something
- 31:08Speaker 5: like something like that. All right, and then finally, horror
- 31:10Speaker 5: movies are a big thing this time of year. Of course,
- 31:13Speaker 5: and analyst site just watch has a list of the
- 31:15Speaker 5: ones we're streaming the most.
- 31:16Speaker 2: At the top of the list is I'm streaming it, yep, Conjuring.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Jack the one and most.
- 31:24Speaker 5: We've been talking about it a lot this week. Oh yes,
- 31:30Speaker 5: it is during Demi Moor is a fading celebrity who
- 31:33Speaker 5: turns to unto orthodox methods to regain her fame.
- 31:35Speaker 3: No spoiler. I'm watching it and it's not but it's
- 31:38Speaker 3: not a Halloween but it's still horror. Yeah, really Halloween.
- 31:43Speaker 5: I didn't seen it.
- 31:44Speaker 2: I haven't, you know, but I know it's on halloweeny.
- 31:47Speaker 5: You have a Halloween also on the list this year
- 31:50Speaker 5: are Talk to Me twenty eight days later, Long Legs,
- 31:54Speaker 5: the Menu, Sinners, Late Night with the Devil, Nope, Pearl
- 32:01Speaker 5: and X.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Wow, dude, Pearl and X. I have a daughter that
- 32:04Speaker 2: says those two are they're they're kind of together, kind
- 32:06Speaker 2: of like Planet.
- 32:07Speaker 3: X and that Terror Dome.
- 32:09Speaker 5: Ever heard of them?
- 32:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's it's wild there. I think they kind
- 32:12Speaker 2: of go together a little bit. It's weird that none
- 32:14Speaker 2: of the classics are in there.
- 32:15Speaker 5: I know, isn't that crazy?
- 32:16Speaker 2: That's why it's like the one of the first lists.
- 32:17Speaker 2: I remember the Exorcist or any of those did not
- 32:20Speaker 2: make the list.
- 32:21Speaker 5: I might delve a little bit into the Lost Boys.
- 32:24Speaker 2: You really, yeah, that's born than Halloween and I know it.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Uh huh yeah, we know. Look that dumb laugh tells
- 32:35Speaker 2: us all we know what you're doing.

- 34:06Speaker 3: You're welcome, budd.
- 34:08Speaker 2: You guys have to be absolutely ganked up there for
- 34:12Speaker 2: this baseball team. I got almighty, my god, almighty man,
- 34:16Speaker 2: what a series? What a series this has been though, dude,
- 34:19Speaker 2: you know, win, loser, draw, How good has this baseball been?
- 34:22Speaker 13: It's been great, honestly great, great television, great teal. I
- 34:26Speaker 13: think the ratings. I was talking to Jack earlier. He
- 34:27Speaker 13: was saying, the ratings are really good, and like, yeah,
- 34:30Speaker 13: it's I like the international flavor of it all. It's
- 34:33Speaker 13: just been really fun to watch. But it has to
- 34:34Speaker 13: end tonight.
- 34:35Speaker 7: There's no more. It has to end to night.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean you guys have had some really.
- 34:39Speaker 2: I mean the pitcher that just came out as a rookie,
- 34:42Speaker 2: I guess his last savage, his last start was an
- 34:45Speaker 2: a ball or something like that.
- 34:47Speaker 3: And he started the season today ball here in Vilorida.
- 34:49Speaker 3: I think he's got less than ten games in the
- 34:52Speaker 3: major leagues and he is just wow.
- 34:55Speaker 13: Eight starts, eight starts, having more. He has more starts
- 34:58Speaker 13: in the postseason than then the break.
- 35:00Speaker 2: So one of the best of not depress performance of
- 35:02Speaker 2: a rookie in the World Series. And then you have
- 35:04Speaker 2: all the stuff that Otani's doing, and then you have
- 35:06Speaker 2: just the team that is Toronto. A lot of a
- 35:09Speaker 2: lot of offense in this series, which has made it
- 35:11Speaker 2: really fun to watch. So a real good, a real
- 35:14Speaker 2: good series. And tonight is game six, looking forward to it.
- 35:18Speaker 2: It has to then tonight tonight. Yeah, you don't like
- 35:21Speaker 2: it if it goes past to night, big dog.
- 35:22Speaker 7: No, no, no, no, no no, no.
- 35:24Speaker 13: I think I've already had I think I've had three
- 35:26Speaker 13: silent heart attacks. I'd probably have to go to those
- 35:28Speaker 13: doctors who as I get back to Orlando. But no,
- 35:30Speaker 13: I can't stand.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Whenever your team has a chance to close it out
- 35:34Speaker 3: in game six and doesn't, then the pressure's back on you.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Then then you're you're a mess.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's tonight in Toronto. I don't know, Yes
- 35:41Speaker 2: it is, Yeah, you for sure. Yeah you gotta win
- 35:45Speaker 2: tonight for sure. Buys calls in every Friday to give
- 35:47Speaker 2: us a heads up on the things happening in the
- 35:49Speaker 2: culinary world here in Central Florida. Drinks and eats, they're
- 35:52Speaker 2: all out there. Let's get to the review. We do
- 35:53Speaker 2: that first. The Outpost Tavern, Outpost neighborhood tavern.
- 35:58Speaker 13: I would post Outpost Neighborhood tavern. Speaking of sports, it's
- 36:02Speaker 13: it's in the in the old per Simon Hollow brewing
- 36:05Speaker 13: space on the Sinkhold shores of Lake Iola there. And
- 36:09Speaker 13: you know, it's a sports bar that's been very tastefully
- 36:12Speaker 13: queer eyed. And that's because out the Outpost is a
- 36:16Speaker 13: gay sports bar.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Is it really?
- 36:18Speaker 13: And it is. It builds itself as as a fabulous
- 36:23Speaker 13: place for dining, drinks, drag and sports and and and uh.
- 36:28Speaker 13: It definitely gives equal billing to both Rinaldo and Rue Paul,
- 36:32Speaker 13: as I said in my in my review. But but
- 36:35Speaker 13: the cuisine, it's interesting. The cuisine is less sports bar
- 36:38Speaker 13: fair and more like Grandma's country kitchen. There are there
- 36:42Speaker 13: are like as I said in my read, there are
- 36:44Speaker 13: as many Southern flourishes on the menu as Bear Bryant
- 36:48Speaker 13: had in his wardrobe.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, you'll be.
- 36:52Speaker 7: The only one who found that funny because you're really
- 36:53Speaker 7: really old.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Old hounds to pancakes.
- 37:00Speaker 13: See, you're the only one who gets this, you old
- 37:04Speaker 13: ass man.
- 37:06Speaker 7: That's right, that's right.
- 37:07Speaker 13: And so anyway, so the fair black eyed pea hummus,
- 37:11Speaker 13: deep fried collared green chips. There's a whipped feta with
- 37:14Speaker 13: the con mit and these are the appetizer got us
- 37:17Speaker 13: excited for the heavy hitters, as it were, and some
- 37:22Speaker 13: of it were.
- 37:23Speaker 7: The Southern Comfort burger.
- 37:24Speaker 13: It has pimento cheese in there, it's got hot honey,
- 37:27Speaker 13: it's got a chow chow and I'm telling you it's
- 37:29Speaker 13: one of the better burgers I've had all year.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Wow.
- 37:32Speaker 7: Really, Yeah, it was very good.
- 37:34Speaker 13: There's corn dogs with an Alabama white barbecue sauce and
- 37:38Speaker 13: more of that pimento.
- 37:39Speaker 7: Also great.
- 37:40Speaker 13: There are hardy meat loaf meatballs that are glazed in
- 37:45Speaker 13: the s guava barbecue and the served over a it's
- 37:48Speaker 13: a coconuts well, it's a coconut plantain mashed potatoes and
- 37:52Speaker 13: those are also I think they said there in my review,
- 37:55Speaker 13: I said something to the effect that there was as
- 37:56Speaker 13: substantial as Jimmy Johnson's quaff.
- 37:59Speaker 7: I try to put a lot of sports references in
- 38:02Speaker 7: there we can, and cair references too.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:05Speaker 7: Yeah, for the gay audience.
- 38:06Speaker 13: And anyway, there's also a fried chicken that's it's got
- 38:09Speaker 13: like a pickle juice brine. And you know, I appreciated
- 38:15Speaker 13: the pickle juice brine and trying to make it very Southern,
- 38:17Speaker 13: and it just didn't really suit our particular tastes, so
- 38:20Speaker 13: it made others that had to sort of bite that,
- 38:22Speaker 13: you know, we we.
- 38:24Speaker 7: Didn't care job.
- 38:25Speaker 13: Yeah, yeah, I know other people do like it, but
- 38:27Speaker 13: it will sert what they with the sweet potato corn
- 38:31Speaker 13: bread with the warming spices and that we absolutely love.
- 38:34Speaker 13: And and of course there is there is a Sunday brunch.
- 38:36Speaker 13: It's a drag brunch. I believe it takes place from
- 38:38Speaker 13: eleven to two, and yeah, people people seem to love
- 38:43Speaker 13: it with the gay abandon I guess gay. But anyways,
- 38:47Speaker 13: it's sports bar with a lot of a lot of
- 38:48Speaker 13: queer cheer it's it's fun. It's not just obviously not
- 38:52Speaker 13: just for you know, the lgbtwo Q plus community. It's
- 38:54Speaker 13: for everybody. It's a great sports bar. It's got a
- 38:56Speaker 13: great vibe, and I think it's really going to galvanize
- 39:02Speaker 13: I think the dining scene there in Lake Iola very cool.
- 39:06Speaker 2: That's awesome news. I did not know that it was
- 39:07Speaker 2: going to be a gay like, you know, a gay
- 39:09Speaker 2: themed sports bar or a it's like theme though, right,
- 39:12Speaker 2: I mean it actually it's not theme. Yeah, yeah, it's
- 39:14Speaker 2: not theme. That's not the right word.
- 39:16Speaker 13: Yeah, and I you know, I mean hesitate to call
- 39:18Speaker 13: it again. It's just a sports bar, got it that
- 39:21Speaker 13: that happens to be that happens to maybe cater to
- 39:24Speaker 13: gay to the community. But it's for everybody, obviously.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Very nice.
- 39:27Speaker 3: All right, we have some breaking news.
- 39:29Speaker 7: Well, okay, we do have some breaking news.
- 39:31Speaker 13: But I have breaking breaking news that I'm really not
- 39:33Speaker 13: allowed to talk about this breaking news, but I can.
- 39:36Speaker 3: Oh, let's talk about it.
- 39:37Speaker 13: That it's a big like it's like a celebrity chef
- 39:40Speaker 13: that's that's sort of well known here in Orlando and
- 39:44Speaker 13: and and across the nation, and they'll be opening up something.
- 39:50Speaker 13: What can I say something really exciting, maybe bar focused
- 39:54Speaker 13: with food in Mills fifty, okay, and my Mills fifty.
- 39:59Speaker 13: I mean maybe in that sort of Mills Park area.
- 40:03Speaker 13: That's all I can say. That's all I can say.
- 40:05Speaker 13: I'll tell you more next week. But yeah, I'm not
- 40:07Speaker 13: really really allowed to talk about it. But I do
- 40:10Speaker 13: have some additional breaking news, and that's Proto Prato there
- 40:13Speaker 13: in Winter Park on Park Avenue will reopen November the fourth,
- 40:17Speaker 13: and it's reopening after they took a little bit of
- 40:19Speaker 13: a break and they called it a riposal, which is
- 40:22Speaker 13: Italian for repose or rest or, and they've got a
- 40:25Speaker 13: refreshed interior, they have a revamped beverage program, and they're
- 40:30Speaker 13: adding additional items to the menu. So it'll be interesting
- 40:33Speaker 13: to see. They open Tuesday, November the fourth.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Very nice, Okay, very good. Let's go move on to
- 40:37Speaker 2: the Glass Knife opening their second location.
- 40:39Speaker 7: Yeah, also on Park Avenue. So there.
- 40:42Speaker 13: Their original location there is on South Orlando Avenue, but
- 40:45Speaker 13: they've just opened their brand new second location in the
- 40:49Speaker 13: in the former Financie Bistro space on Park Avenue.
- 40:52Speaker 7: I believe it's I think it's.
- 40:53Speaker 13: Two twelve, two twelve North Park Avenue two twelve South
- 40:57Speaker 13: Park Avenue there, I believe.
- 40:59Speaker 7: Yeah. And if if there's ever if if there's ever
- 41:01Speaker 7: been a you know, a bakery.
- 41:03Speaker 13: Or a or a business that really belongs on Park Avenue,
- 41:06Speaker 13: it's the Glass Knife.
- 41:07Speaker 7: You know, it's got that whole oh yeah sort of vibe.
- 41:10Speaker 13: Yeah, if anyone's been to the Glass Knife, and you
- 41:12Speaker 13: know what I'm ting, it's like going.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Into a roll leg store where you walk in there's
- 41:15Speaker 2: like five pastries are all thirty one hundred dollars apiece.
- 41:18Speaker 2: It's like they're all under glass. You can't really buy them.
- 41:20Speaker 2: You just paid a look at him and walk buy
- 41:22Speaker 2: them for a minute. It sounds like I'm joking, but
- 41:25Speaker 2: that's the vibe of it. But I mean every one
- 41:27Speaker 2: of those pastries is a piece of art. I mean
- 41:29Speaker 2: you feel bad eat some of this stuff.
- 41:31Speaker 13: Yeah, it's true. There there are there are works of art.
- 41:33Speaker 13: And the coffee too, the Bionyx Coffee Lab. You know,
- 41:36Speaker 13: they're one of the few places in town that offer
- 41:38Speaker 13: that coffee. They're gonna obviously have like a breakfast lunch
- 41:41Speaker 13: and evening fair weekend brunch, which will also be interesting
- 41:44Speaker 13: to see because right up the road as Brier Patch.
- 41:46Speaker 13: You know, I think I think more another brunch option
- 41:49Speaker 13: is fine for Park Avenue. I think they'll it'll be
- 41:50Speaker 13: able to sustain it. But yeah, so they've just opened,
- 41:53Speaker 13: so check them out. They obviously have all the cakes
- 41:55Speaker 13: and pastries and everything that you were just talking about.
- 41:57Speaker 7: I love their donuts.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I mean really everything is great. I mean,
- 42:00Speaker 2: if you want a next level everything, you go to
- 42:02Speaker 2: the Glass Knife and you find out what exactly would
- 42:04Speaker 2: happen in France when it comes to whatever. I mean,
- 42:06Speaker 2: they just know what they're doing. Let's move on to now.
- 42:09Speaker 3: It says Buffalo Boss, but I'm not really is it
- 42:11Speaker 3: a wing joint? It is.
- 42:13Speaker 13: Buffalo Boss is a new wing joint that just opened
- 42:15Speaker 13: downtown at three thirty three North Orange Avenue. It's right
- 42:19Speaker 13: next to Tacos El Roncho, and it's it's by a
- 42:22Speaker 13: gentleman whose name is Jamar White, and Jamar White happens
- 42:25Speaker 13: to be the first cousin of Jay Z and so
- 42:29Speaker 13: and so. The wing joint has a whole sort of
- 42:31Speaker 13: like hip hop vibe flavor kind of thing. And it's
- 42:34Speaker 13: open late night. It's open till three am, I believe,
- 42:36Speaker 13: and I think I read somewhere that they may be
- 42:38Speaker 13: considering opening up till four am, but damn for sure
- 42:41Speaker 13: they're open till three am.
- 42:42Speaker 7: So and that Thursday's to Saturdays.
- 42:44Speaker 2: I think that's cool because I don't think we lost
- 42:46Speaker 2: them yet. But I know that during the storms during
- 42:49Speaker 2: we had a there was a ceiling collapse at Flyers
- 42:52Speaker 2: Wings and Gorillaver in Pine Hills, which was still one
- 42:55Speaker 2: of the best wing joints in the entire city. I
- 42:57Speaker 2: would I only the only thing I can really parallel
- 42:59Speaker 2: it with is the places up and Long with Papa Bees,
- 43:01Speaker 2: Mama Bees. Like that's your favorite, like the that's the like,
- 43:04Speaker 2: that's the o G Buffalo wing right, that's you know,
- 43:07Speaker 2: fried crispy with that peppery sauce.
- 43:09Speaker 3: That's exactly what Flyers.
- 43:11Speaker 10: Used to do.
- 43:11Speaker 2: And they had a collapse of their ceiling. I hope
- 43:13Speaker 2: they're doing okay. But uh, there's always space in Orlando
- 43:16Speaker 2: for wing joints. I mean, if we can have a
- 43:18Speaker 2: thousand chicken finger places, we can damn sure have a
- 43:20Speaker 2: bunch of wing joints.
- 43:22Speaker 13: Yeah, and evidently you know this guy Jamar White was
- 43:24Speaker 13: it was like a wing freak and he put all
- 43:27Speaker 13: his energies into like you know, crafting, like what he
- 43:30Speaker 13: what he thought was like the perfect wing. And there's
- 43:32Speaker 13: like another actually there's another Buffalo Boss and it happens
- 43:34Speaker 13: to be of course in Brooklyn at the Barkley Center
- 43:37Speaker 13: where where the Brooklyn next place. So this is the
- 43:40Speaker 13: only the second other, the only the second location of
- 43:43Speaker 13: of of what's it.
- 43:44Speaker 7: Called Buffalo Boss.
- 43:45Speaker 2: There you and we'll ended up with some news about
- 43:47Speaker 2: one of the great I would say when you agree
- 43:50Speaker 2: that maybe this brand is one of the one of
- 43:52Speaker 2: the shining stars of the brands that come out of
- 43:54Speaker 2: Flora Central Florida, like Foxtail and Tijuana Flats and uh
- 43:59Speaker 2: Jeremiah Italian Ice all of those are great Orlando brands.
- 44:02Speaker 2: I have to add Kelly's Homemade ice Cream to that
- 44:05Speaker 2: brand as well. I think they're you know, along with
- 44:07Speaker 2: four Rivers. They've done a really good job taking a
- 44:10Speaker 2: local business and franchising it, or not franchising it, but expanding.
- 44:14Speaker 3: It and maintaining the quality.
- 44:16Speaker 2: That's the number one thing that happens when small businesses
- 44:19Speaker 2: try to expand like this, they're not able to really
- 44:22Speaker 2: keep the quality level high and they suffer this. They
- 44:25Speaker 2: really haven't experienced that the ice cream is still delicious.
- 44:29Speaker 7: It still is.
- 44:29Speaker 13: So we're talking about Kelly's Homemade ice Cream and they're
- 44:31Speaker 13: going to be opening their seventh free standing location in
- 44:35Speaker 13: Lake Mary in early December. So it's finally coming up
- 44:37Speaker 13: to Lake Mary. And I believe the address is three
- 44:39Speaker 13: eight zero one West Lake Mary Boulevard. And yeah, like
- 44:43Speaker 13: what you were saying, Kelly, Kelly Sidel, who's the owner
- 44:45Speaker 13: of It's a great story, a great like local story.
- 44:48Speaker 13: She started out there in Audubon Park right there on
- 44:51Speaker 13: carin Drive and now she's expanded and in fact, when
- 44:54Speaker 13: this one opens, it will be like the fiftieth if
- 44:56Speaker 13: you count all the Kelly's ice creams that are inside
- 44:59Speaker 13: Fox Steale, it'll be the fiftieth Kelly's operation.
- 45:04Speaker 7: So that's that's that's a seminal moment for the business.
- 45:07Speaker 2: And what's amazing about this When I first started Primetime Kitchen,
- 45:10Speaker 2: and you know, as I started talking, we started kind of,
- 45:12Speaker 2: you know, finding these places. When Kelly opened this place,
- 45:15Speaker 2: I think up until the fifth place opened, she was
- 45:17Speaker 2: still an active nurse, was she not. She was actually
- 45:20Speaker 2: still working as a nurse and then running this freaking
- 45:23Speaker 2: ice cream empire.
- 45:25Speaker 3: Never really I think she is.
- 45:26Speaker 7: She still nursing.
- 45:28Speaker 13: I'm actually not sure I'll find out, but yeah, I
- 45:31Speaker 13: mean this thing is I don't know if she expected
- 45:33Speaker 13: it to like blossom into into the kind of business
- 45:36Speaker 13: it is today, but I mean it should be hard
- 45:38Speaker 13: pressed to carrying, you know, handling both those jobs, you know,
- 45:41Speaker 13: like running Kelly's ice Cream and being a nurse. But
- 45:43Speaker 13: I'm not sure. I'm not sure if she is. But
- 45:46Speaker 13: they do have some new flavors for October. By the way,
- 45:49Speaker 13: you know, I'm always I'm always a big fan of
- 45:51Speaker 13: their Mexican chocolate and their banana putting ice cream.
- 45:53Speaker 7: But something in October.
- 45:55Speaker 13: It's called what is it? It's like a dark chocolate, dark
- 46:00Speaker 13: chocolate dolt chic cookie. I think, damn, and that thing
- 46:03Speaker 13: really cut miney. But they have new flavors for October.
- 46:05Speaker 2: For Halloween, I will tell you that you could get
- 46:07Speaker 2: Scott Maxwell to do a swan dive off a building
- 46:10Speaker 2: into a concrete pool for some of that toasted coconut
- 46:13Speaker 2: ice cream, which.
- 46:14Speaker 3: Is a game changer.
- 46:15Speaker 2: If you haven't been to Kelly's and had their toasted
- 46:17Speaker 2: coconut ice cream, I would urge you to get over
- 46:20Speaker 2: there and start with that flavor and then work your
- 46:23Speaker 2: way through the case because that's a special product.
- 46:25Speaker 3: It's so damn good it is.
- 46:28Speaker 13: Yeah, and it's and it's like I said, it's a
- 46:29Speaker 13: great local story. I wouldn't I wouldn't be surprised if
- 46:32Speaker 13: they expanded outside the state, they went national. I mean,
- 46:35Speaker 13: it seems like that's the logical next step, you know.
- 46:38Speaker 13: It's kind of like Jeff's bagel run. Right, that's ano
- 46:41Speaker 13: another very similar story. Right, they started small and now
- 46:44Speaker 13: they've like expanded. So yeah, good for her very location
- 46:48Speaker 13: fiftieth overall.
- 46:49Speaker 2: Well, fye, it's cool. It's always good talking to you, buddy,
- 46:51Speaker 2: Go Blue Jays. We hope you get I hope you
- 46:53Speaker 2: got to win.
- 46:53Speaker 3: I don't have a dog in this hunt, so I'll
- 46:55Speaker 3: root for you. Go Blue Jays. Just remember George Springer
- 46:59Speaker 3: is still a cheater. He's part of the Houston NaSTA,
- 47:02Speaker 3: yet booed every time he came up to.
- 47:04Speaker 7: Good bomb, all right, do it for don Mattingly, Donnie h.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Give it up, bas garay, all right, fight as we'll
- 47:13Speaker 3: see you soon.

- 48:00Speaker 14: S Good after born in Colbert Cabrew. All right, So
- 48:05Speaker 14: DeLay's airports, I've been there, done that. I was flying
- 48:08Speaker 14: out of Syracuse and had a layover in Atlanta, but
- 48:11Speaker 14: unfortunately plane was delayed missed my layover. I was in
- 48:15Speaker 14: the Atlanta airport for a total of eleven hours. The
- 48:20Speaker 14: only thing that saved my sandy was thank god they
- 48:23Speaker 14: sold those little smoking boxes so I could go smoke away.
- 48:26Speaker 14: My anger at Delta for having a broken windshield wiper
- 48:29Speaker 14: coming out of Syracuse picked me out.
- 48:32Speaker 7: I went from Orlando to DC on Tuesday.
- 48:34Speaker 15: My flight back was on Thursday at five o'clock with
- 48:37Speaker 15: the layover in Nashville.
- 48:39Speaker 3: As soon as I ordered the plane.
- 48:40Speaker 15: They said your flight was delayed eight hours, and I
- 48:43Speaker 15: got an email fifteen minutes after that save my flight
- 48:45Speaker 15: was totally canceled. So my flight is until nine pm tonight,
- 48:49Speaker 15: and I've been in Nashville for almost entire day.
- 48:52Speaker 7: But it's a happy accident. This place is pretty cool,
- 48:55Speaker 7: but Rotlanto's better.
- 48:57Speaker 10: Hannah, Happy Yoloha Friday.
- 48:59Speaker 4: Oh.
- 49:00Speaker 10: Coming out of Honolulu, going into Saint Louis, going over
- 49:03Speaker 10: the Rockies, you're always gonna get turbulence. But I watched
- 49:06Speaker 10: the wingtips of the seven forty seven. These things you
- 49:09Speaker 10: wouldn't think structurally able. Flight attendant's voice cracked. That hicked
- 49:14Speaker 10: everybody out. She hit the ceiling, couldn't get buckled in
- 49:17Speaker 10: in time. They had to take her off in a
- 49:19Speaker 10: stretcher when we landed. Damn, it was harrowing.
- 49:25Speaker 2: Aloha Aloha seven seven zero three one. That's how you
- 49:30Speaker 2: text us. If you'd like to leave a talk back
- 49:31Speaker 2: as well, that's easy. Grab the iHeartRadio app, go to
- 49:33Speaker 2: Real Radio and use that mic to send your comment
- 49:36Speaker 2: over to Jack forklike he with his bills b I
- 49:39Speaker 2: ls again, slide of red Real Radio.
- 49:40Speaker 3: Send that away for your chance one thousand bucks. I'm Jim,
- 49:42Speaker 3: there's deb Hello. Jack is here as well. Yeah, Big
- 49:46Speaker 3: Team mentioned the smoke boxes in Atlanta, and I'll never
- 49:49Speaker 3: forget the first time I had to go through Atlanta.
- 49:51Speaker 3: I'm walking through the concourse and seeing this giant plexiglass
- 49:55Speaker 3: room filled with people and smoke and you can can
- 50:00Speaker 3: see it. It's almost like it was a commercial for
- 50:04Speaker 3: not smoking. And I it was just people wall a
- 50:08Speaker 3: wall in this box and then just smoke that you
- 50:11Speaker 3: could see through clear walls. And it's I was amazed
- 50:15Speaker 3: that people would willingly walk into this space.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Never smoked a cigarette before, I've smoked you know, cigars and.
- 50:23Speaker 3: You know stuff. Can you can you get the can
- 50:27Speaker 3: you get the same.
- 50:29Speaker 2: Like a reaction. If you were to walk into a
- 50:31Speaker 2: room and just inhale that secondhand smoke, could you would
- 50:35Speaker 2: you get the same I mean, I know it won't
- 50:37Speaker 2: be exactly the same as like smoking a cigarette directly,
- 50:39Speaker 2: but you get any of that at all just by.
- 50:41Speaker 3: Breathing in just the cancer?
- 50:43Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it's grows too, right. Yeah, that smoke has
- 50:46Speaker 2: been in somebody's body.
- 50:47Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, fire up my own.
- 50:50Speaker 5: Thanks.
- 50:51Speaker 2: I mean, how bad would it have to get for
- 50:53Speaker 2: you to dip in there and grab and grab a
- 50:54Speaker 2: huffer real quick?
- 50:55Speaker 14: Now?
- 50:55Speaker 2: And by the way, do you do you have something
- 50:57Speaker 2: that you bring on airplanes or something with you, like
- 50:59Speaker 2: if you were to go on a long flight.
- 51:00Speaker 5: Would I mean nicotine patch or nicadeen patch? Not really,
- 51:03Speaker 5: I mean you just know you can't. No, you just
- 51:05Speaker 5: know you can't smoke.
- 51:06Speaker 2: They war some people don't have that willpower the.
- 51:08Speaker 3: No, I know. They warn you do not go vaping
- 51:10Speaker 3: in the bathrooms either.
- 51:12Speaker 5: And what's amazing is that recently there was a story
- 51:15Speaker 5: of a young man I think he's like twenty three,
- 51:16Speaker 5: twenty four who was on a two hour flight and
- 51:21Speaker 5: literally could not wait the two hours and went and
- 51:24Speaker 5: vaped in the bathroom and then tried to blame it
- 51:27Speaker 5: on the flight attendants for opening the door when it
- 51:29Speaker 5: was vaping. And it's like, and that's when I always say,
- 51:31Speaker 5: you know, in those cases, I know a lot of
- 51:34Speaker 5: the cartridges, they'll tell you what the nicotine level you're getting.
- 51:37Speaker 5: But again, I could go eight hours and have trans
- 51:40Speaker 5: atlantic flights. Yeah, I mean, you just know when you can't,
- 51:43Speaker 5: you can't.
- 51:44Speaker 3: We did a we did one of these flyaway trips.
- 51:46Speaker 2: I forget. It may have been to Jamaica. I'm not
- 51:48Speaker 2: a hundred on that, no, Jack, I think it was
- 51:50Speaker 2: one of the I think it was one of the
- 51:52Speaker 2: flyways for the Predators, Okay, And we had a Predator
- 51:56Speaker 2: fan that we went to like Vegas for their Predator
- 51:58Speaker 2: Bowl or whatever it was. There the ball and on
- 52:01Speaker 2: the way back, this dude could not do it, and
- 52:03Speaker 2: he stepped into the bathroom and lit up a real
- 52:06Speaker 2: cigarette and took a couple of huffs and snuffed it.
- 52:09Speaker 2: They called the marshals on him. Oh yess, scored it off.
- 52:13Speaker 5: The plane and then probably banned for life.
- 52:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, from that.
- 52:16Speaker 5: Particular, a massive fine exactly. It's just it's just not
- 52:19Speaker 5: worth it, all.
- 52:20Speaker 2: Right, four oh seven nine one, six one o four one.
- 52:22Speaker 2: You always call us there. If you want to text us,
- 52:24Speaker 2: we accept those as well. Seven seven zero three one
- 52:27Speaker 2: is the number. All right, So let's talk about this
- 52:29Speaker 2: JD Vance and Erica Kirk thing real quick, because I
- 52:32Speaker 2: find it interesting. And by the way, this has nothing
- 52:33Speaker 2: to do with politics at all. This is just an
- 52:36Speaker 2: embrace that people found kind of.
- 52:38Speaker 3: Odd, and I wanted to ask you, as a female,
- 52:41Speaker 3: what is what is?
- 52:43Speaker 7: What?
- 52:43Speaker 2: Have you looked at the video?
- 52:44Speaker 3: By the way, I have not.
- 52:45Speaker 5: In fact, I was just going to tell you that
- 52:46Speaker 5: while I was trolling Instagram during the commercial break and
- 52:49Speaker 5: a couple of them came up.
- 52:50Speaker 7: I was like, no, no, no, no no no no no
- 52:51Speaker 7: no no.
- 52:51Speaker 3: I'll want you to go and look at it. Actually YouTube, Jack,
- 52:54Speaker 3: have you seen it?
- 52:54Speaker 2: I'm looking at it now. Yeah, so look at it now.
- 52:56Speaker 2: He calls her out on stage. They're at a turning
- 52:59Speaker 2: point of and I guess he's as the opening thing,
- 53:02Speaker 2: and then he brings Erica Kirk out because I believe
- 53:05Speaker 2: it's you know, it's a I think it was at
- 53:07Speaker 2: the University Mississippi.
- 53:08Speaker 3: I'm one hundred percent sure there. I saw the story,
- 53:10Speaker 3: yesiry right, yeah, So let me do a story.
- 53:12Speaker 2: So when she walks up and they have an embrace,
- 53:15Speaker 2: and again, they've known each other for years. Charlie Kirk
- 53:18Speaker 2: was one of Jade Vance's best friends, so they would
- 53:21Speaker 2: have been not integrated by any means, but their families
- 53:23Speaker 2: would have been quite familiar with each other.
- 53:27Speaker 3: What so, what do you what do you think about that?
- 53:29Speaker 7: Okay?
- 53:30Speaker 3: Okay, So her hand is on the back of his
- 53:34Speaker 3: head that she's there embracing. Is that what you're talking about?
- 53:37Speaker 2: Not to mention. Look where his hand is. His hand
- 53:40Speaker 2: is on her waist and it's like I would say,
- 53:43Speaker 2: on or below her belt line, on her waist. And
- 53:46Speaker 2: then she reaches up and not just puts her hand
- 53:49Speaker 2: on his head, she like runs her fingers into his hair.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Kind of Now, I don't know if that was on purpose.
- 53:55Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say that. I don't say anything that
- 53:57Speaker 2: could be misconstrued as being malicious. I don't want to
- 54:00Speaker 2: do that. But when she puts her hand on his head,
- 54:03Speaker 2: you know, people are saying that was that was kind
- 54:05Speaker 2: of odd for people who are friends to embrace like that.
- 54:09Speaker 2: And I wanted to know that if at any point,
- 54:12Speaker 2: like you were approached by somebody that works here, and
- 54:16Speaker 2: they were to give you a hug, if they were
- 54:17Speaker 2: to place their hands in those positions on you, even
- 54:20Speaker 2: if they've known you for many years, like I've known
- 54:22Speaker 2: you for what.
- 54:23Speaker 5: My friend Robert would not touch me like that.
- 54:26Speaker 3: Right, isn't it? And deb is the person most likely
- 54:31Speaker 3: to hug anything anything. You can't take the girl out
- 54:36Speaker 3: of the Midwest?
- 54:36Speaker 2: Jack, what do you think about Bratchaw?
- 54:39Speaker 3: Do you think it?
- 54:40Speaker 2: Do you think it looks a little into I think
- 54:43Speaker 2: if another woman was hugging me like that, and I
- 54:46Speaker 2: think my wife's eye would go bird.
- 54:48Speaker 5: Oh, you'd have some misplaining as soon as you got
- 54:50Speaker 5: in the car.
- 54:51Speaker 3: So two things would happen.
- 54:52Speaker 2: Yeah, if I hugged a woman like that, my wife
- 54:55Speaker 2: would kill everyone within.
- 54:56Speaker 3: Thirty feet of us.
- 54:58Speaker 2: He's not kidding, Man, wife hugged a man like that,
- 55:01Speaker 2: I would have a very long involved talk with how
- 55:05Speaker 2: she interacts with other males that are not her husband.
- 55:08Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say it's inappropriate, because that would be
- 55:11Speaker 2: drawing a conclusion that there's something happening there. But I
- 55:14Speaker 2: do find that really kind of a unique embrace for
- 55:17Speaker 2: people who are not like together. Right to intimate partner, right,
- 55:21Speaker 2: who are not intimate partners.
- 55:22Speaker 5: Because that that those are intimate.
- 55:25Speaker 3: It seems to be that way it is.
- 55:27Speaker 5: Wouldn't when you touch up another person's head like that,
- 55:29Speaker 5: I mean, it wasn't the side of his face like
- 55:32Speaker 5: thank you, that's so sweet of you. That's again, that's hair,
- 55:36Speaker 5: That's that's sensual. That's intimate pulling someone in exactly you're
- 55:41Speaker 5: you're holding them closer to your face. I wouldn't.
- 55:44Speaker 7: Yeah know.
- 55:44Speaker 2: So the only friends I have that I've known that
- 55:47Speaker 2: long are Code Black and his wife Kelly, and you know,
- 55:49Speaker 2: and we are. At one point our families were damn
- 55:51Speaker 2: near integrated. Literally, it was when we lived next to
- 55:54Speaker 2: each other. We would have dinner as a family together
- 55:57Speaker 2: like three times a week because scheduling wise, it was
- 56:00Speaker 2: much easier for either me to cook dinner when my
- 56:02Speaker 2: wife was working, or Kelly to cook dinner. We would
- 56:05Speaker 2: just kind of agree during the day who was going
- 56:06Speaker 2: to make dinner for everybody, and we did that three
- 56:08Speaker 2: times a week for quite a while. I've known her
- 56:10Speaker 2: for a really long time and we are really close friends,
- 56:14Speaker 2: vacation friends. When hurricanes stuff like that hit, we know
- 56:17Speaker 2: all of our secrets. We are friends friends friends, you know,
- 56:20Speaker 2: swing or stuff. I mean literally that close. We're just
- 56:24Speaker 2: shy of that. But he wouldn't touch her hair, No, no, no, no,
- 56:26Speaker 2: But I would never ever hug her like that. No,
- 56:29Speaker 2: not a million years. I would never run I would
- 56:31Speaker 2: And if my wife saw her, say, if my saw her.
- 56:35Speaker 3: Put her hands and where my hair should be.
- 56:38Speaker 5: Yeah, I was just about to ask, how would your
- 56:41Speaker 5: better haves react if you hugged someone else of the
- 56:44Speaker 5: opposite sex in the same way and then looked up
- 56:47Speaker 5: and looked over at them, What do you think you
- 56:48Speaker 5: would see?
- 56:49Speaker 2: It would be bad news, dog, Yeah, it would be
- 56:51Speaker 2: bad news. I would have a lot of splaining to do. Yeah,
- 56:54Speaker 2: like Lucy would say, Jack.
- 56:57Speaker 3: Would Naomi Bradshaw act?
- 56:59Speaker 2: Adversely, if you were hugged like uh by a female friend.
- 57:03Speaker 3: Like that, like I just said, I think she would
- 57:05Speaker 3: definitely raise an eye if I was hugging another woman
- 57:08Speaker 3: and that type of the hand on the head and.
- 57:15Speaker 5: Again his hands are a little bit too close to
- 57:18Speaker 5: the top of her buttocks. Yeah, I'm a little comfortable
- 57:22Speaker 5: with the position of his hands as well.
- 57:23Speaker 2: And the weird and the weird thing is is like
- 57:25Speaker 2: you know, of course, you know you can't draw a conclusion,
- 57:28Speaker 2: of course, on how friends were.
- 57:30Speaker 3: Don't stop the internet from doing it already.
- 57:33Speaker 2: It already is. They're already, they've already been. I don't
- 57:35Speaker 2: even care about the rumors the remembers, don't really. But
- 57:37Speaker 2: this thing particularly was interesting because people do have embraces
- 57:41Speaker 2: with people who aren't their loved ones, who aren't their mate,
- 57:44Speaker 2: you know, whether it be at a coming time, the
- 57:47Speaker 2: Christmas story of the Christmas parties are coming up soon.
- 57:50Speaker 2: You're telling me that co workers are going to be
- 57:51Speaker 2: embracing during Christmas or maybe even during Thanksgivings like we
- 57:54Speaker 2: have here the building.
- 57:55Speaker 3: We have a friends Jesus Christ. I'm trying to make
- 57:59Speaker 3: it here. I'm simply saying I like those events.
- 58:03Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know so hey you.
- 58:05Speaker 3: But you know there's there's a lot of people you
- 58:07Speaker 3: don't see all the time.
- 58:09Speaker 5: Yeah, but you're not You're still not going to go
- 58:11Speaker 5: in with a headhold and a little bit above the buttocks.
- 58:14Speaker 5: It's gonna be a old, you know, close fist on
- 58:16Speaker 5: the back, a little doubt.
- 58:18Speaker 2: I'm not gonna walk up to Melitan older from a
- 58:20Speaker 2: j R and dipper, you know, and just grab her
- 58:22Speaker 2: like a dipper like we're dancing. I mean, you know,
- 58:24Speaker 2: you get you get.
- 58:25Speaker 5: The kiss, do you give the high hug high hug?
- 58:27Speaker 2: You do the high hug crotches apart, right, yes, or
- 58:30Speaker 2: a little off to.
- 58:31Speaker 5: The side, right, there is exactly there is no contact.
- 58:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 58:36Speaker 2: I found a little weird and the internet like that first.
- 58:41Speaker 2: One of the first things I saw this morning is like, hey,
- 58:42Speaker 2: check this out.
- 58:43Speaker 5: Well, because it's it doesn't belie what their relationship is, right,
- 58:48Speaker 5: They're they're very good friends. That's just those are intimate moves. Yeah,
- 58:53Speaker 5: that that was that spoke of intimacy. And someone texted
- 58:56Speaker 5: and said, my wife would cut me and the check right.
- 58:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it would be looked at oddly, that's for sure,
- 59:02Speaker 2: because but again, you don't know how close their relationship is.
- 59:05Speaker 2: You don't know anything about them, and this could be
- 59:08Speaker 2: the way that they interact all the time, you know,
- 59:10Speaker 2: it really could. I just I know that I don't
- 59:13Speaker 2: believe that I would have the I would have the
- 59:17Speaker 2: latitude to have an embrace like that with someone who's
- 59:20Speaker 2: done in my life, don't we know you wouldn't. Yeah,
- 59:23Speaker 2: I don't think I'd be able to do that. I
- 59:24Speaker 2: don't think she would either. I'm praying that she wouldn't.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Please God, don't let her ever do it?

- 1:00:06Speaker 2: It's coronasigar dot com. It's a very easy website, so

- 1:00:28Speaker 16: I loved the song that Jack played earlier today, that is,
- 1:00:31Speaker 16: until I have been overheard me singing it and slightly
- 1:00:34Speaker 16: asked me to find me the title for the song
- 1:00:36Speaker 16: really required. Yes, I knew it is called where is
- 1:00:39Speaker 16: the Senator? Which he nicely told me the correct word
- 1:00:43Speaker 16: the song and we got a good laugh at it. Besides,
- 1:00:46Speaker 16: that was not the first time that has happened. I
- 1:00:48Speaker 16: guess I'll just continue singing in.
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: My far by myself.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: Have a happy Halloween. You guys too.
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: Who do.

- 1:01:43Speaker 3: I'm Jim. There's deb no is here as well.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: Yeah, Jack, last night was the News Junkie roast of
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Sean Watson at Judson's down there at the Doctor Phillips Center.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: It was a sold out event. There were many many
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: roasters on site that we've known for a while. Ross
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: our Man was one of them. Pink also, Josh Fowler
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: from a number of things, Sunday Morning coming down.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: He sits in on the News Junkie quite a bit.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: Sabrina there ceiling there, Angel from the Monsters, Ryan Holmes
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: from the Monsters.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: That's right, not Angel, but Ross McCoy was there.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Oh I thought Angel went. No, Ross McCoy was themc
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: Fritz was there.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: Our buddy Jeff. He was a DJ, and he also
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: did some production and created some music for the event,
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: because that guy cannot stop creating music, with special introductions
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: by Moses DeWitt himself. Nice Amy Kaufel sent a video
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: and she absolutely nailed it. It was hysterical. That's good.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: Tuttle was there as well. Wow. Yeah, yeah. So it
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: was a fun night, so funny. I was laughing the
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: entire time. I was also drinking, but I think even
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: without drinking, I would have been laughing. Shout out to
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: Prince of the Eye Islands for buying me the old fashioned.
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, a couple of those, right.
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: He sent one over for me and one for my
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: wife and since she doesn't drink, I scooped that up
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: very nice. Yeah, so that was good. Who whit the hardest? Honey?
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: You here's the thing with the roast, you know, especially
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: when you're roasting somebody.
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: That you know.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: It's different for people who I hate saying for people
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: who don't know, because it's always assuming that nobody knows it.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: But when you see the celebrity roast, like those people
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: don't know those people, correct, you know, they they talk
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: to a lot of the roasters they've never met, like
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: Jeff Ross.
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: Jeff Ross are not hanging out yet.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: But Jeff Ross is the king of this and he's
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: hardly ever met any of the people he's asked a roast.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: Anthony jeffs Nichol was part of him a couple of times.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: He never met those people, never spoke to him afterwards.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: So you know, this is way different. You know, this
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: is the person that we've worked with for many, many years,
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: some of their friends and family, so it's really it's
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: really odd to be asked to do one of these things.
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: It's it's hard to be mean to someone you like.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: Exactly right, you're going to see in the hallway again. Yeah.
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, as Ross was going over
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: some of his material before he went, you and I
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: were kind of saying, you're really gonna say that, Yeah,
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: you're really going to.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: Say that about the nicest guy in the building, and
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: other people would.
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: So you know it was fun. First of all, everyone
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: on stage did a great job. Yeah, but I believe
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: there was a standout performance and that was Josh Pinkman Fowler.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: He just it was the callbacks. It was just funny. Yeah.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: And of course they do the secret shows together, so
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: I mean he knows Sean very well. They've worked together
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: all the time.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 1:04:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought Ross McCoy did a great job. But
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: you know, I mean it wasn't his first time doing this, No, No,
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: he was very seasoned and executed it very well well.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: He hosted a comedy show for years down at the
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: Bull and Bush, The Sandwich Show, which ran for god forever.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: My wife and I used to go all the time,
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: loved it. Matter of fact, that's where one of the
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: places where Cam Patterson, who's now on S and l
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: got his cut. His chops is right there in that
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: little comedy show that raw she used to promote our
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: buddy Ross killed as well. And he he he built
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: it up, had a great closer and he described it
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: to us on Tuesday. He can you know, tell you
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: what it was, but he was. It was just really funny.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: He got He got the whole room with that one.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: Uh interesting moment because Mo de Witt was up there,
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: uh to introduce uh the next comedian. And when Mo
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: is up there, he was dressed as a priest and
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: he came in and then then he showed his certificate
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: that he is now a reverend and can legally marry
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: and actually had rings and tried to put Sean on
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: the spot to marry his lovely girlfriend Courtney he's.
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: Been with for years. Right, Oh wow, that's hardcore.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: Right, it's so uncompating because everyone's now looking at Courtney
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: and she's sitting there being talked about, and you know,
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: people catch strays.
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: It's like something said about me, nothing too bad, but
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: you know it's just by you're by association naturally. If
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: people are gonna understand the joke, then it's fodder.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, And It's weird because even if the
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: person who's being roasted tells you, hey, man, go as
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: hard as you want, I don't care.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: That's a lot, Yeah it is.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: I don't care. I mean, I don't care how much
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: you like somebody. If they say something that hits you
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: hard personally, it's going to it's gonna cut a little bit.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: It was really you know, it's a really unique thing,
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: and I'm very I mean everybody that went and did
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: their thing, God bless them. Good on them.
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: That's great.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: I'm glad it went well.
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: And some people are more sensitive than others, right, yeah, sure, yeah,
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: you know that. There's a couple of people where you're like,
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: they're probably still stealing about that. Now.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: The one of the usual things when happens is you
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: have your deis and the people who are gonna come
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: up and do that. How many people roasted him like
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: six seven eight?
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: Yeah, let's see three six six, and then you had
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: pre like the presenters were just they were still roasting
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: as well.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: It was just shorter periods. So you know, I mean
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: in total, I think maybe nine yeah, okay, so you know,
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: eight or nine people, even in the professional ones, there
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: are more their days can be up to like fifteen
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: sixteen people, whatever the case may be. But almost always
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: he's at the end of the night, somebody will invite
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: the person the roast to come up and then they
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: will take their shots at the daist. They you know,
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: they'll they'll go one by one and take at least
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: one shot at each person.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: Did that happen? Absolutely? How did he do? Oh? Sean? Yea,
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: he did great.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: Did he go in hard on some money?
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: Uh?
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: I mean, not too bad. It was funny, you know
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: it was. It was funny on all of them. Nothing mean. Yeah,
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: that's great, nothing mean.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: Because one of the things we talked about yesterday is
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: Ross is writing jokes and he's sitting in there on
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: the floor. We're kind of going in and writing jokes
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: a little bit, trying to help out any way we can.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: You know, he does a ceiling joke and I'm like, dog, yeah,
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: like you're coming at one of the the most respected
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: like dudes in our building. And then the audience also,
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: this dude is like one of the most endeared cats
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: on the air in Orlando. I don't know that any shot,
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: how good, bad, are indifferent in him is going to be.
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: Received and plenty of people took shots at Sea Lane
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: and he laughed and everyone laughed as well, that's great man.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: Yeah, well, there's no question he would laugh because see
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: that dude's got the best sense of humor. But you know,
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: just get taken a shot at a guy that kind
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: of nice is difficult.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: Seawn's son Dylan was there to introduce him, so he
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: took Yeah, and that was funny. He did a great job.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: That's a great man.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: That's great.
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: He did a great But if you asked me who
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: went the hardest, who was the meanest out of everyone
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: on there, it was I would say easily Ryan Holmes.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: Really well, that's his thing. Ryan can get very dark. Yeah,
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: oh it was dark. And not only that.
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: He was the first one was really he's very nice.
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: I love homes. I think he's great. All right, I'd
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: let it went well, that's awesome. Congratulations on a successful
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: event for sure, all right. Four oh seven nine one
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: six four one text us at seven seven zero three one.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: The best background show of all time got canceled today.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: I'll tell you what it is.
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: And I'm dying to know what your favorite background show.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: The show it used to be Forensic Files, right, and
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: when I'm going to bed, it's Forensic Files because I
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: love Peter Thomas's voice and that voice will just kind
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: of lowy to sleep. But when we're just hanging out
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: in the house, we would always put this show on
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: because it is completely inane and even if you miss
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: some of it, it doesn't really matter. And I'm dying
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: to know what everybody else is. You can text us
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: seven seven zero three one or leave us a talk back.
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: That's easy as well. Just grab the iHeartRadio app, go
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: to real Radio and use that mike to send your
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: comment over to Jack. We'll do that next s.
- 1:09:48Speaker 18: Hey, guys, I love the show, been listening for a
- 1:09:51Speaker 18: long time. Doesn't show that I listen to in the
- 1:09:53Speaker 18: background to lull me my suiting show gets The Crown,
- 1:09:57Speaker 18: specifically seasons one and two. One thing about the accents,
- 1:10:01Speaker 18: the voice, the orchestral music, you know, just I love it.
- 1:10:06Speaker 18: I love Claire Foy, Matt Smith, and that's the Kirby.
- 1:10:10Speaker 18: Their voice is just they loll me. That's what I
- 1:10:13Speaker 18: need in the background when I just don't want.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: To hear anything. I love that you too, have a
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: good Halloween.
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: They still making the Crown and are they going to
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: have an Andrew character.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: Oh man, you mean old Andrew windsor yeah, yeah, oh
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: Andy Wends Andy windsor oh man.
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: He doesn't have a crown.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: Yeah, you're five o'clock. Keyword is money.
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: M O N E Y.
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: Go to real Radio dot FM andson that'll for your
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: chance of a thousand bucks.
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: I'm Jim.
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: There's deb Hello, Jack is here as well. Whoa yeah, man,
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: what a crash that is?
- 1:10:42Speaker 7: Uh?
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: That thing is?
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: That story has been pretty big news now for four
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: or five six days. It just won't stop.
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: You know, Sarah Ferguson, who is who is his ex wife?
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: They live together in that property called the Lodge, which
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: is many royal properties around London and England in the
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: area there. And you know, of course, you know use
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: the word lodge. You think of some log cabin with
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: a couple with a couple of bedrooms where you can
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: chill out and get away from the world. It's not
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: that it looks like any It looks like the Barely
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Hillbillies mansion and it's just one of their many properties.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: He's banished from that and has to move out. And
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: I guess Sarah Ferguson, you know, his ex and she
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: gets to keep her titles, and so do his daughters.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: They keep the they keep their titles. But that dude
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: is out. I guess there's another property he's going to
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: get to stay in, but it's considerably smaller, uh than
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: he had before. And I was telling Debb yesterday.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: If it's not a tiny home, can show ye the queen.
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: In fact, even if it is a tiny home, shut up.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: The queen loved him so much. I was telling Debb
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: yesterday I read how much do you how what do
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: you think they charged him for the least per year
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: at the lodge? It was almost symbolic one peppercorn?
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: Oh nice?
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, So he cost one peppercorn per year to
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: live in the lodge and that's all expenses paid, plus
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: he gets a They get compensated for being part of
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: the family. Do they not like a stipend of something?
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: I believe?
- 1:12:03Speaker 11: So?
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I wish I could pay my mortgage with one
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: pepper corn.
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: Yeah, you and everybody listening.
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: It depends on how you use it, and with the
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: right only fans audience, you can get it done.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you, man, you know that's that's tough
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: on his kids. I mean, like anything where you know,
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: one of the family members does something crazy and you
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: know the children have to live with it, and you
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: we're just talking about the BTK Killer and his daughter,
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: you know, living with that for the remainder of her life.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: I mean, I think this really, you know, not as
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: bad as the BTK Killer for sure, but man, oh man,
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: you know your dad being a sexual predator in it,
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: being out and being part of the royal family and
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: banished from that, understanding what level of abnormality that is.
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: That's that's that's got to be stinging a little bit.
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: I think they're in their twenties, mid twenties, maybe a
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: little maybe older than Yeah, yeah, kind of wild. Anyway,
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: So the TV show that was canceled today, it was
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: so funny because I picked I saw this come across
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: my phone as I'm prepping for the show this afternoon,
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: and by prepping for the show, I mean sleeping, and
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: it popped up and I looked at it and I
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: was like, oh no, I got to tell my wife.
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: And I opened my.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: Phone to text my wife. She'd already text me the story. Really, yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: the show is ridiculousness. Never heard of it, never heard
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: of Ridiculousness. How many seasons do you think it's been on?
- 1:13:15Speaker 5: I just saw the numbers, so twelve forty six? Oh
- 1:13:18Speaker 5: my god, how did I never hear the show?
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: Forty six seasons. It was run by a skateboarder named
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: Rob deer Dick. He actually started out with Robin Big,
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: which he had a security guard. His name was Big.
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: It was a big black dude. They were very good friends,
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: and he ran this skateboarding kind of warehouse thing and
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: they shot the show there. The show turned into something
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: else called Ridiculousness, which was basically a clip show. It
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: was basically no different than America's Funniest home videos, but
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: with more severe videos. They with people like getting.
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: You know, oh, people getting hurt. Well, here's what they
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: would say.
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: They would when they would play a video and it
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: was obviously somebody got banged up pretty bad.
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: It was okay. They would come back in really.
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: Yeah, he's okay, he's okay. We checked he's fine, and
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: then they would move on to the next video pretty quick.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: But it was it was one of those things. It
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: was so easy to watch. They would it was him
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: and a guy and a girl named god what was
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: her name? Rebecca, no Joanne. It was Penelope. It was
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: she had part of a city in her name or
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: something like that. I can't remember her name, but anyway,
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: she would laugh at everything and the guy that like
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: a co host type thing, and they would play the
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: videos and they would invite people on to sit and
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: go over the videos. And it was actually kind of
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: fun because it was no matter where you were in
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: your day, you could just turn it on and it
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: was just the next video. You didn't have to know
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: what happened before that.
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: Hana Louise, Oh god, what was her name? Helena?
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: I can't remember it for the same I can't remember
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: her name because she I want to say it to
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: Janelle or something like that.
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: She's not on the show anymore.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: She had been on the show for years.
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: But where was this show on where V?
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: I was on MTV. It was MTV. Actually it was
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: like one of those channels where you turn it it's
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: like you know with forensic files, Yeah, which is.
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: What what is that?
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: That's hln HLN right, And MTV was basically replays of
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: ridiculousness and then road rules or whatever it was. Yeah,
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: but it was the best show to put in the
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: background because it didn't matter what you were doing, you
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: could always hear the always called something West.
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: Coast Channel, West Coast.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: Chanel West Coast.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: There you go, Yeah, Chanel West Coast, that's what that
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: was our name.
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: And but yeah, it was just one of those shows
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: you could put on the background and it would always
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: be there.
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: Do you have something like that Forensic Files?
- 1:15:32Speaker 19: Is it?
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: Really? Yeah?
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: We did that for Friends, Like for a while we
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: were kind of just watching because there's another channel that
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: just plays Friends, replays almost all the up en till
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: like ten o'clock at night. That's all they do is
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: play play episodes of Friends.
- 1:15:43Speaker 5: Bar Rescue is another one. Really, Yeah, just put that
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: in the background and listen to him tof for just
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: yell at people.
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: Yeah, Jack, you have any of that? No background shows? No,
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: because you don't. Do you guys watch a lot of TV? Well,
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: we do, but if we're watching TV at least I'm
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: watching television, right, I'm kind of focused on that. If
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: it's if I'm getting I'm doing something and it's on
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: it could be sports like something that you don't.
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, mash maybe oh gott oh mighty.
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: Really, I didn't see an.
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: Episode of mass.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: If you're on one of the streaming channels, it's like
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: so now like almost every show that we grew up
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: with has its own channel where it's just looped right.
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it's whole episodes all the way around.
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: Yeah, And TV land has all those ultiate matter of fact,
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: if you want to do you guys are watch Tubo
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: or any of the free TV thing. Do you ever
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: go onto that channel at all? Dude, I gotta tell
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: you you should probably never sleep on that free TV channel.
- 1:16:41Speaker 5: Oh yeah, no, those look good. I just haven't.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: You can go to their movie section and dial up
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: like action movies, horror movies, and the selection is surprisingly good.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: Like if you go there tonight, if you were if
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: you're to go to the Free TV or the two
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: BO or whatever it is tonight, and you would go
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: to the horror section. Bet money, they're gonna have four
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: or five or six if I can't remember how many
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: channels there are, four or fives, and it's gonna be
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: classic horror movies like Halloween, the Freddy stuff, the Jason
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: stuff and all that older stuff.
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: It's awesome.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: I mean, you can and it's all just all the time.
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: They're bringing those movies up.
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: That's free form?
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: Is free form another free channel or whatever?
- 1:17:17Speaker 5: No, it's usually the one. We're all my animated movies.
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: Yeah, it's no sven Gooli. I don't even know what
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: that is. Really, is that a channel? Oh that says
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: Saturday Night thing. I think it's like on the one
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: of those me TV's old throwbacks. But he hosts old movies,
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: usually old horror movies. So it's like Mystery Science Theater
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: three thousand. He does all the intros to the scenes
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: and they talk about the movies. Yeah, and he does
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: skits and stuff and makeup and he's you know, is
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: it good? Yeah?
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's free Yeah that shows. Did you ever
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: watch Mystery Science Theater three Oh?
- 1:17:56Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: God, dude, whatever happened to that guy? He was a
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: stand up for a while. His name was Joel Something.
- 1:18:01Speaker 5: Right, I have no idea.
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: Yeah he was.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: His name was Joel Something. They didn't stand up. Then
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: he got that job, and then something happened. They hired
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: somebody else to do it, and then he came back
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: and they tried to fire it back up again. But man,
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: it was savage. It was so funny back in the day.
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: It was I used to love watching that.
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: So sveng Gooli has been on nationally on me TV
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: since twenty eleven, but his character has been He's been
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: a premiere horror show icon in Chicago since the late seventies.
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: Really, yeah, people are saying, like ice road truckers like this,
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: all those shoots like Parinormal caught on camera a Cursed Island. Yeah,
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: that stuff it was at the Curse of Devil is.
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: How it's made is good for that.
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: Yeah, how it's made is really Yeah, dude. I when
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: I worked the mornings, I would come home at eleven
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: o'clock after being up since you know four o'clock in
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: the morning, and I would was almost always put on
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: how It's made to take a little nap? Oh really,
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: because I mean it was just and I love stuff
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: like that anyway. I mean because I like finding how
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: stuff works. When I would get a toy as a kid,
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: just play with it for five minutes and then tear
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: it apart, Gotta find.
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: Out how it works.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: Will and Grace, King of Queen's never seen an episode
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: of either. One of those Ancient Aliens is a good
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: one too, But gotta like the ancient Aliens, all right,
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: four oh seven nine one six one four one text

- 1:19:26Speaker 2: my wife and I been together twenty years. I wonder
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: if you think your relationship would pass the bird theory.
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: There's a test to see if your relationship is in
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: a good spot. It's called the bird theory. Stay tuned.
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: I'll tell you exactly what the bird theory is and
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: you can find out if your relationship is good enough
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: as well.
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: I failed.
- 1:19:44Speaker 20: Oh hey, jcs crib what's going on? This is Ray
- 1:19:53Speaker 20: Mellow heading over to my gig tonight at the EMFETS
- 1:19:56Speaker 20: in Mount Dora. The show that I watch in the background,
- 1:20:01Speaker 20: and I usually do this when I'm cooking dinner, and
- 1:20:03Speaker 20: I usually answered the questions correct his Wheel of Fortune
- 1:20:07Speaker 20: and Toby has a lot of great classic shows. They
- 1:20:10Speaker 20: have like the Danny Thomas Show, Dick Van Dyke, and
- 1:20:13Speaker 20: even in prime video they have like old school Perry
- 1:20:16Speaker 20: Mason Colombo. So I tend to watch those. Talk to
- 1:20:19Speaker 20: you later, have great weekend.
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: Bye you got a bit what a right? I didn't
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: get where he was playing.
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: I'm really good to just my music the inmbit THEMB.
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: I don't I'm not familiar with that.
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not.
- 1:20:31Speaker 20: Hey J C Cret, what's going on? This is Ray
- 1:20:33Speaker 20: Mellow heading over to my gig tonight at the Embits
- 1:20:35Speaker 20: in Mountain Dotta.

- 1:20:44Speaker 3: Except to do tonight. Hey, Serri, where's the I don't
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: think you have it right? You're five o'clock.
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: Heyward his money m O n E Y go to
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: real radio dot fiments and then I'll for your chance
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: of one thousand bucks. I'm Jim. There's dead and Jack
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: is here as well. Yeah, series telling me it's ember tattoo.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: I don't. I don't believe her.
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: Very good viral trend. This is a TikTok thing, but
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: it's based on a relationship theory. It's called the bird theory. Right,
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: Jack's already mad.
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: I don't like it, alright.
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: You first coined in twenty twenty three by a TikTok
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: user named Alyssa.
- 1:21:20Speaker 3: That's why I don't like.
- 1:21:21Speaker 5: I was going to say, and then I'm gonna put
- 1:21:23Speaker 5: absolutely no stock in this.
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: It is meant to people. Well, you know what, I
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: gotta tell you. I don't care about Alyssa.
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: If she's I will I think this has I think
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: this is a valid test, all right, And when you
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: hear it, you will probably agree.
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: Despite the fact that you learned about it from TikTok
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: Alyssa on TikTok.
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: This is a story I saw in yaho dot com,
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: so I didn't. I mean, this is like they pulled
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: it and this turned into a thing. It's meant to
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: help people determine if the relationship is going to go
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: to distance. In other words, if you fail this test,
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: you should just quit.
- 1:21:53Speaker 5: Yeah, there you go.
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: They would just drive straight from this test right to
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: the divorce court. And I think we have an answer.
- 1:21:59Speaker 3: Am thatam? Oh?
- 1:22:02Speaker 10: Good?
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: No? What is that?
- 1:22:04Speaker 5: The am Vet's lodge?
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: Oh it's the vets lost? Yeah? Man, good drinks. I
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: don't know.
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: I don't think I can go in. I think you
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: have to be with a VET to go in. What's
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: that because you're a draft dodger?
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:22:19Speaker 5: Yeah, no, But I mean, check it out. They'll text
- 1:22:21Speaker 5: us and let us know. But it's if it's the
- 1:22:23Speaker 5: am vets. I've been to parties there before good time, Dude,
- 1:22:26Speaker 5: I went to.
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: The lodge up in Placke. Let me tell you what
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: that was an interesting scenario.
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: I looked over. I looked over.
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: I was with my buddy Chuck and his dad and
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: his sister, and I looked over the guy sitting the bar.
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: I said, man, that guy looks like he's familiar.
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: And he goes.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: That guy's been here's in seventy nine.
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: That guy's drinking redlines.
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: Here you got glass cag But yeah, man, I don't
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: but I don't think I can go. I don't think
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: you with any of the lodges. I think you have
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: to have some former military experience or something right, or.
- 1:22:58Speaker 5: A buddy that's there, you know, swalk in and say Joe,
- 1:23:01Speaker 5: you know, I don't.
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: Know if you can do that. Isn't that? Isn't it?
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not. It's not a stolen valor thre
- 1:23:06Speaker 3: thing by any means.
- 1:23:07Speaker 5: But we'll wait and see the answer. Because we do
- 1:23:10Speaker 5: have the smartest audience.
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: It's a veterans group, but where their rules are yeah,
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: because you don't want to roll in there and and
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: be like, well where'd you fight?
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: And you're like high school Valencia do right? All right?
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: So to pour him this test, one person has to Okay,
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: let me the bird.
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: The bird, the bird. This is the bird. It's a
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: relationship test.
- 1:23:32Speaker 5: It's for the birds.
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: You got from TikTok. It's the bird theory.
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: I didn't get it from TikTok.
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: I got from trying to.
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: See whether it says people are filming themselves doing this
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: with their partner.
- 1:23:43Speaker 5: That's absolutely unwise.
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it's really we need content.
- 1:23:47Speaker 5: I guess that's not going to be it all right?
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: So what, by the way, what do you think the
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: bird theory is?
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: What do you think it is? What do you guys
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: think it is? Before I bust this out? It could
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: be so anything. It would be virtually impossible for you
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: to get. But it's a really simple test.
- 1:24:06Speaker 5: I would imagine how you deal with strife.
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: No, it has nothing to do with that at all.
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: What do you think, Jack, what do you think the
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: bird test is? The bird theory?
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: I think your wife says, hey, listen, what do you hear?
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: And if you say, if you know anything other than
- 1:24:24Speaker 3: the birds that are chirping. Then you fail. Jack's the closest. Really,
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: I'm the only one who ventured against Jack. I know that.
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: Guess Jack's the closest. Here's what the bird theory is.
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: Okay, right, And this, by the way, isn't It isn't
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: either equal or unequal to or inequal to men or women.
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: In other words, a man could do it to a
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: woman and a woman could do this to a man,
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: and it would hold the same value.
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: It isn't.
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: It isn't a gender specific I should say, Okay, here
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: we go.
- 1:24:53Speaker 5: So is it about gooping out about birds?
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: No?
- 1:24:55Speaker 3: No, because I did.
- 1:24:56Speaker 5: See barnowel on the sign on the we're fourteen.
- 1:25:02Speaker 3: Someone's going to die. It does have to do it.
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: Let's say let's say you and I were a relation
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: in a relationship, deb we did this.
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: I love these type of imagining the two of you.
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: It ain't gonna be Jack.
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: And that's.
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: Fingers deep into the hair and and I look at you,
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: and I go and we're sitting there and we're hanging out,
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: and I go, I said, oh wow, check it out.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: That's a that's a bird. Look at that bird over there.
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: How do you respond?
- 1:25:31Speaker 10: To that.
- 1:25:34Speaker 5: Probably by going, well, what kind of bird do you
- 1:25:36Speaker 5: think it is?
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: You would ask me that question? Yeah you pass? Oh, okay,
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: what it is?
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: The bird theory is this, if you have an insignificant
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: kind of thing that you're into, Like let's say I'm
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: washing dishes and I look over and I see a bird.
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: I go, oh, I'll be damn look at that bird.
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: And my husband is like at the table, and the
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: husband goes cool and isn't interested in what you're seeing
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: or saying. The whole idea is and this girl does
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: it in real time to her boyfriend. She goes, I'll
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: be down look at that bird, and the guy goes,
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: what kind of bird is it?
- 1:26:07Speaker 3: Did you take a.
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: Picture of it?
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: Where was it sitting?
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: So hitting engaged on a simple little thing that she
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: saw or said or experience, and rather than just going
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: oh cool, she he actually tried to engage on something
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: that she said. The theory is is if you do
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: like I do and go awesome, that it ain't gonna work.
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: And that's something I've had.
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: To really work on as a mate, is paying attention
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: to the nuance of the things that my wife pays
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: attention to, and vice versa. You know, I mean if
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: we're watching a game or something like that and I go,
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: holy crap, and she just goes and she doesn't even
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: respond by going what happened?
- 1:26:50Speaker 3: What happened?
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: Why is that such a big deal that apparently that
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: is you failing the bird theory.
- 1:26:55Speaker 5: Well, it's interesting, of all the examples you used, you
- 1:26:59Speaker 5: couldn't have picked. I guess Alyssa from TikTok couldn't have
- 1:27:02Speaker 5: picked a better one, because I'm a nature nerd, right right, right,
- 1:27:05Speaker 5: So it's I mean, just this last week, I've seen,
- 1:27:08Speaker 5: like I said, the great horned owl on the sign
- 1:27:11Speaker 5: on the four fourteen last night. Earlier this week, I
- 1:27:13Speaker 5: saw bald eagle flying into work. And then I saw
- 1:27:16Speaker 5: my second hummingbird ever.
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: Really, and when I showed me, isn't seeing humming bird?
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: Hummingbirds a sign of something someone's gonna die?
- 1:27:26Speaker 3: Oh my god?
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: John, But Chris, God bless him, will engage about that
- 1:27:32Speaker 5: to make me happy. That's a tough to tip mouse
- 1:27:34Speaker 5: or whatever. I will do that with sports.
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's and that's exactly what they're saying about
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: with sports.
- 1:27:40Speaker 5: I'll call something back that he taught me about baseball, right,
- 1:27:44Speaker 5: and I'll say, but then you taught me this and
- 1:27:45Speaker 5: said this, and he was like, yeah, you listened.
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: Yeah exactly, that's that is exactly what they're talking about,
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: Like it's easy to listen and engage on somebody when
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: you're right across from each other in dinner. But as
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: you were interested in if you don't, you look like
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: at But what it says here is has it says.
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: To perform the test, one person has to point out
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: something insignificant, like a bird perched outside. The goal is
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: to have your partner respond with genuine curiosity. The response
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: could be as simple as where or when did you
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: see the bird. That's a really good sign that your
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: relationship will last a long time because it shows that
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: your partner is engaged and is interested in what you're
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: seeing and what you find interesting. Yeah, exactly, they care.
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: It's having a renaissance. By the way, this whole idea
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: of small paying attention to small things that your spouse
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: does is having a great renaissance.
- 1:28:33Speaker 5: Well, isn't it always said? Divorce isn't about usually something big,
- 1:28:38Speaker 5: it's about the cat being left off the toothpaste, when
- 1:28:41Speaker 5: too many times it's the little things that kneel at you,
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: that build up, that create resentments. You know. Of course
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: it can take a big catascalsmic cataclysmic event to cause
- 1:28:51Speaker 5: an end of a relationship, But a lot of times
- 1:28:53Speaker 5: it's those not being acknowledged.
- 1:28:56Speaker 3: I think maybe there's somebody in these rooms.
- 1:28:58Speaker 7: Who's got awful a bird theory.
- 1:29:02Speaker 3: His name rhymes with Jack Branshaw. Hey, there's a fish fry.
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: You you have to you, you have to be the
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: worst of this. There's a fish fry, a fish fry.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: You filled the bird desk.
- 1:29:15Speaker 3: Where's a fish fry?
- 1:29:17Speaker 9: Who's doing it?
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: It's had tonight from five to seven in Mount Dora.
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: Ray Mellow starts at six. The fish fry goes until
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: seven at the Mount Dora. Yeah, let's go.
- 1:29:29Speaker 9: Good.
- 1:29:29Speaker 5: Fish fry is a good time and way to avoid
- 1:29:31Speaker 5: the question over there. Bird game.
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: I can't imagine it with fish fry.
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: I can't imagine if Nami Branshaw dot com pointed out
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: something that she found interesting that you would be, uh,
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: you'd be very interested.
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: Oh, how little you guys know me. My wife just
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: happens to be a birder. My wife talks to me
- 1:29:48Speaker 3: all the time about the bird with birds it does.
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: It doesn't, Yes, it does. I know to pretend to
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: be interested. So there.
- 1:29:58Speaker 5: Oh does she have the Merlin apt she does love that.
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: We also have the bird feeder with the motion camera
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: that's in it so you see the birds feeding. Unfortunately
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: I connected it. I put that bird house in a tree,
- 1:30:13Speaker 3: so really we just get a lot of video of
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: the acidvist squirrel leaving after they got all the food. Right,
- 1:30:21Speaker 3: so I gotta have to mount it on a pole
- 1:30:24Speaker 3: like away from like the fence, and exactly the squirrels
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: won't get it.
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: There's a cottage industry and getting squirrels not to eat
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: your stuff. I mean there are like some Rube Goldberg
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: looking machines to keep squirrels from getting your bird feeding.
- 1:30:39Speaker 10: Oh.
- 1:30:40Speaker 3: Oll the Solana wants me to build this squirrel obstacle. Course, yeah,
- 1:30:44Speaker 3: and apparently someone and I don't want.
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: To everything everything from greased poles? Do they put a
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: slinky over the pole? Oh yeah, yeah, that's that was
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: one of the other ones. A slinky? What was the
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: other one too? There was another one that was But man,
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: they're so clever and I mean so unbelievably athletic.
- 1:31:02Speaker 5: Yeah, everyone's got to eat now let me ask this question, Jack,
- 1:31:08Speaker 5: howdid Naomi Bradshaw dot com get How did she receive
- 1:31:11Speaker 5: that that bird feeder with the camera on it? Did
- 1:31:14Speaker 5: she buy it or did someone I don't know buy
- 1:31:16Speaker 5: it for Yeah, it was a gift.
- 1:31:18Speaker 3: For her from Christmas, from our oldest daughter alone.
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: Oh very nice, Yeah, it says, but I thought about it,
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: it says, I.
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: Saw the ads on Facebook.
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: Less explains here that if your partner ignores the mention
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: of the bird, it's a bad sign.
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: She said.
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: Healthy responses might sound like oh cool, while a partner
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: who avoids acknowledging the bird altogether could be signaling emotional disinterest.
- 1:31:40Speaker 5: Yeah, and in some cases we'll use those little quips
- 1:31:43Speaker 5: or those little asides as a way of oh kind
- 1:31:46Speaker 5: of just like I don't.
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: Care, and you know, and because I listened to the
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: macro and not the micro. My wife will always I mean,
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: she says, like I just I just said that, and
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: but it'll be a different way, and I just won't
- 1:31:56Speaker 2: it won't.
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: It won't resonate.
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: Do you mean, like me when I've just done a
- 1:32:00Speaker 5: story and then you'll tease.
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: It next topic, next topic.
- 1:32:09Speaker 3: Do I do that a lot?
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: For real?
- 1:32:11Speaker 5: Not anymore. Oh really, yeah, not not as much in
- 1:32:13Speaker 5: them anymore.
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: By the way, that's the way you hugged me. That's
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: why I got more respect for you now that you
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: run your fingers to my scalp.
- 1:32:22Speaker 5: Don't put that out there, man, I don't need that
- 1:32:25Speaker 5: kind of bird when I get home.
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: That heat, I don't know exactly. Ain't nobody believe in it.
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: Ain't nobody believe in you tolerated for five seconds, trust me,
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: not tell you.
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: We're perfectly good at there? All right?
- 1:32:35Speaker 2: For our seven nine one six one o four one
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: text us at seven to seven zero three? When do
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: we get tolder whether or not I can go to
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: uh am vets. Can I go to a veteran based
- 1:32:43Speaker 2: party tonight?
- 1:32:45Speaker 5: I'm wondering if it's a fundraiser.
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: I think no, you don't think so for me? No,
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: because bred of Matt said he called them and they
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: told him they don't have any events going on. And
- 1:32:56Speaker 3: I am right now looking at their Facebook page that
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: says they have it that going on. So I think
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: they're putting the word out and they're like, all right, now,
- 1:33:04Speaker 3: what is it?
- 1:33:04Speaker 5: It's it's somebody said, as long as you go as
- 1:33:06Speaker 5: a guest of a vet.
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: You're good, Yeah, I don't. I mean, my daughter's a VET,
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: but she is not in on this side of town.
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: I would not want to go to a fish fry anyway.
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: It's gonna end before you get off the air. Oh yes,
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: Oh that sucks. I'm sorry, thanks for getting our hopes up. Ray,
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: but Ray mellow at six? He may play past seven,
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: you can go Ray. Actually, the Voodoo Gypsies are playing
- 1:33:30Speaker 2: eaton Abby tonight. Ooh yeah, but I bet it's gonna
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: be stacked. Do adults still go out on Halloween night
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: and not do Halloween stuff?
- 1:33:38Speaker 7: Like?
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: Do you think all the bars are going to be
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: packed tonight? They say you could wear a costume, but
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: you don't have to.
- 1:33:43Speaker 5: I would imagine they would be.
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: Do you think every I mean, are most people gonna
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: be taking their kids like trigger treating? That's early though, right,
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: You're usually done with that by like eight thirty, aren't you.
- 1:33:52Speaker 3: If you don't have kids or kids young enough to
- 1:33:54Speaker 3: go trick or treating, I think you're more likely to
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: go out on Halloween than if it was a Friday
- 1:33:59Speaker 3: that wasn't Halloween, you think or do you think people
- 1:34:02Speaker 3: would be like?
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: Oh, this could be crowded out there because everybody's gonna
- 1:34:05Speaker 2: be doing Halloween stuff.
- 1:34:06Speaker 3: I'll go out on Saturday night to avoid the crowd.
- 1:34:08Speaker 3: I feel compelled to stay home to hand out candy.
- 1:34:10Speaker 2: Yeahah yeah, And I do not feel compelled to do that.
- 1:34:13Speaker 3: I'm not. Yeah, we know.
- 1:34:15Speaker 5: I don't know how many trigger treaders are going to
- 1:34:17Speaker 5: get because by the time we do get home, I mean,
- 1:34:20Speaker 5: that's pretty much the tail end of the little kids.
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: And I'm not excited about the teenage. I just know.
- 1:34:25Speaker 3: The bag of candy I bought at Costco started with
- 1:34:27Speaker 3: one hundred and sixty pieces, and by the time I
- 1:34:30Speaker 3: left for work, we're at least down to one thirty.
- 1:34:33Speaker 3: Do you really yeah? Do you guys?
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: I mean, if you were sitting out there and teenagers
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: come up, will you just tell them no?
- 1:34:39Speaker 5: No, I would still give them candy.
- 1:34:41Speaker 2: I did at Baldwoin Park.
- 1:34:43Speaker 3: I told him no. I said, you're too old to
- 1:34:44Speaker 3: get out of here. I wanted to move out the candy.
- 1:34:45Speaker 3: I just before the show, we talking to co workers
- 1:34:51Speaker 3: who they were taking their family to Baldwoin Park. To
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: someone who lives in Baldwom Park and she was explaining
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: how the first year she lived there, she bought three
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: hundred full sized candy bars and was out by six thirty.
- 1:35:06Speaker 5: It's just like Jimmy's story.
- 1:35:07Speaker 3: Now buys about two thousand dollars two No, two thousand
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: pieces of candy, Like she'll get a two thousand. I
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: bought one one hundred and sixty piece bag, and I
- 1:35:18Speaker 3: know that's more than enough.
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: Oh there that was. I mean, I had pillowcases full
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: of candy and it went like it's going. I mean,
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: we had lines outside our door. At Baldwin Park. There
- 1:35:26Speaker 2: were fifty people deep. They say for two hours. It's
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: going to be in Baldwin Park.
- 1:35:31Speaker 3: Specifically, you won't be able to park after a certain
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: time and there will be thousands of people thousands.
- 1:35:37Speaker 2: But I have to tell you when it comes to
- 1:35:39Speaker 2: people watching and costume watching, the great thing about Baldwin
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: is it's well lit. There are you a street lights everywhere,
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: so it's very safe as well.
- 1:35:47Speaker 5: Yeah, but we've got Halloween decorations.
- 1:35:50Speaker 3: But uh, well, you know, I mean it's that's a difference.
- 1:35:52Speaker 3: Out of town.
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: You'll get plenty of action, don't.
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: You usually get a lot of action.
- 1:35:55Speaker 5: It's been funny It's like I said, you know, like
- 1:35:57Speaker 5: the second year, you know, when we lived at on
- 1:36:00Speaker 5: the street we're on now, we got great groups of
- 1:36:02Speaker 5: kids walking through, not a lot, but some. And then
- 1:36:04Speaker 5: last year they just old no, the parents just pulled
- 1:36:08Speaker 5: the car up, back door opened up, kids got out,
- 1:36:10Speaker 5: came up the steps, and came back down. It was like, sucked.
- 1:36:13Speaker 5: Feel a little bit like a drive through.
- 1:36:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that sucked you. I feel cheap. You got to
- 1:36:17Speaker 3: park in a neighborhood, right and then roll through the neighborhood.
- 1:36:20Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a safe neighborhood. So I'm hoping we get
- 1:36:23Speaker 5: some trigger treaters tonight because the other side of remote
- 1:36:27Speaker 5: work is that there just aren't enough people in the
- 1:36:29Speaker 5: office to eat your old Halloween candy.
- 1:36:33Speaker 3: About.
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: I'm about to raid Cheryl's bowl. She has no idea
- 1:36:38Speaker 2: what's coming.
- 1:36:38Speaker 5: You better hope she's still here, dude.
- 1:36:40Speaker 2: She keeps that door up, and I believe Yeah, well
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: sometimes she leaves the candy out.
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: She will. I was just there in the last break
- 1:36:45Speaker 3: and I got one of those green uh quicks and
- 1:36:49Speaker 3: there were the cookie inside is green. Yeah, you're gonna
- 1:36:53Speaker 3: bite it in half to know you Halloween, You're not
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: going to say it wasn't the.
- 1:36:56Speaker 5: Same thing with the Snickers bar. The nugat was green.
- 1:36:59Speaker 3: I saw one, and then I pointed out to someone.
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: I said, you should get that before Jim comes in.
- 1:37:03Speaker 5: And by the way, I don't know you know when
- 1:37:05Speaker 5: he said he notices the macro and not the micro.
- 1:37:10Speaker 5: Earlier this afternoon, when you threatened me about grabbing the
- 1:37:13Speaker 5: very last TwixT bar from Sheryl's candy bowl, I went
- 1:37:19Speaker 5: ahead and pulled it out of my own stash and
- 1:37:22Speaker 5: had put it over here by your keyboard. I see
- 1:37:25Speaker 5: about micro micro exactly right. And he didn't even notice it,
- 1:37:29Speaker 5: didn't even thank me.
- 1:37:30Speaker 2: You didn't formally offer it to me. You just sat
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: it off to the side. When I gave you a
- 1:37:34Speaker 2: sweet when I handed you tater tots yesterday, I grabbed
- 1:37:38Speaker 2: the tatter tots and I extended my hand like a
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: claw machine and I hold you and you opened up
- 1:37:43Speaker 2: your palm like a little coon, and I dropped him
- 1:37:45Speaker 2: right in there, and you eat those such.
- 1:37:47Speaker 5: A dude thing. Hey, look, I want credit for this.
- 1:37:51Speaker 2: Toilet we're throwing a parallel to I made the bed.
- 1:37:56Speaker 3: Did you see I made the bed. I made the bed.
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: You're a nightmare.
- 1:37:59Speaker 5: My twists back.
- 1:38:00Speaker 2: I would never hug you with my hand on your ead.
- 1:38:02Speaker 3: Congratulations you passed the bird brains past bird Brain new
- 1:38:08Speaker 3: show title?
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: All right for one four one text seven seven zero
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: three one. It's time let's do pick the porn.
- 1:38:13Speaker 3: We'll do it next.
- 1:38:14Speaker 7: Is your twist?
- 1:38:15Speaker 2: Do you want to play a game?
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: Good Jim Colbert Show trivia is not next call now
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: four oh seven nine one oh four week.
- 1:38:43Speaker 17: Hey, dab, I was curious you said you've been with
- 1:38:47Speaker 17: Chris now for twelve years, and if I'm memory is
- 1:38:51Speaker 17: serving me correctly, you've been engaged now for four years.
- 1:38:56Speaker 17: Is there a wedding coming soon? And if so when
- 1:39:02Speaker 17: we'd all love to know.
- 1:39:03Speaker 3: We never talk about it so personal.
- 1:39:06Speaker 17: But have a happy Halloween, all of you.
- 1:39:09Speaker 3: Thank you. Bye. Yes.
- 1:39:11Speaker 5: April twenty twenty six. Nice April twenty fifth.
- 1:39:16Speaker 3: Not a town.
- 1:39:17Speaker 5: Oh you're not, but if you are, I don't want
- 1:39:20Speaker 5: to hear it from you.
- 1:39:22Speaker 3: Got dog, dude, I'm doing the bird test that day.
- 1:39:29Speaker 11: Ward.
- 1:39:29Speaker 3: That Honeywood just saved money on four people.
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it was always like, oh you can't make it,
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: Oh my god, oh my god. One less chicken din,
- 1:39:40Speaker 2: one less drink baggage.

- 1:45:25Speaker 2: nightmare b I b I. Oh, that one was hard

- 1:45:37Speaker 2: and Tickle is an actual one. And then lastly is
- 1:45:40Speaker 2: Tales from the Zipper. Yeah, there's one tale that's coming
- 1:45:44Speaker 2: out of that zipper. Yeah yeah, yeah. That horror section
- 1:45:50Speaker 2: of the Old the old adult film world is very interesting, Yeah,
- 1:45:54Speaker 2: very scary. They just used they used the word horror
- 1:45:58Speaker 2: a lot, and it's just like they put like any movie.
- 1:46:01Speaker 3: There's like of horrors. That's literally half the categories.

- 1:46:26Speaker 5: your homework?
- 1:46:26Speaker 2: He did, but I did not get to it this week,
- 1:46:28Speaker 2: so I'm just gonna have to tell him I'll have
- 1:46:29Speaker 2: to get it to it next week. I did not
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: get a chance to play any this week, which sucks.
- 1:46:32Speaker 2: But I do have something though. Do you guys have
- 1:46:34Speaker 2: YouTube TV?
- 1:46:36Speaker 3: No, no you don't.
- 1:46:36Speaker 2: Have you heard what's going on with it?
- 1:46:39Speaker 3: They raised in their price again.
- 1:46:40Speaker 2: No, I'll tell you what it is next.
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: Hey, everybody, Deputy Scott Pappy Halloween. He's got like the.
- 1:47:06Speaker 8: Wist of special twenty eighth wedding anniversary to my beautiful
- 1:47:09Speaker 8: bride today.
- 1:47:11Speaker 4: I love you very much and we don't need no
- 1:47:13Speaker 4: birds to tell us that we should be together.
- 1:47:15Speaker 3: Bye bye, buddy, congratulations.
- 1:47:18Speaker 5: Bird is a word.
- 1:47:20Speaker 3: Bird is a word. Bird, Bird trains his damn song
- 1:47:26Speaker 3: that is.
- 1:47:27Speaker 2: A weird song. A lot of weird songs in that era.
- 1:47:29Speaker 5: It was a lot of joke songs for a people leader, Jack.
- 1:47:34Speaker 3: Is that a mask? Is that part of that thing,
- 1:47:36Speaker 3: isn't it? That's a pullover costing. Yeah, well it's a
- 1:47:39Speaker 3: hoodie that zips up and continues to zip. Look, so
- 1:47:44Speaker 3: this is the hood of a hoodie? What the ass
- 1:47:48Speaker 3: a skeleton is that?
- 1:47:50Speaker 2: That's crazy. I've never seen one of those. That's a
- 1:47:52Speaker 2: pretty bad.
- 1:47:53Speaker 3: Ass reatally sketchy too.
- 1:47:55Speaker 5: Wait do you find out how he's going to put
- 1:47:56Speaker 5: into action later?
- 1:47:58Speaker 4: Kay?
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: You know some of us, you know, embrace the holidays
- 1:48:03Speaker 2: and get dressed up for Halloween, unlike YouTube party poopers.
- 1:48:06Speaker 3: Yeah, not at all. I'm a serial killers exactly. You're
- 1:48:11Speaker 3: supposed to be someone different though for Halloween.
- 1:48:15Speaker 5: I still love your breadshaw.
- 1:48:16Speaker 2: I'm going as the uncomfortable hugger. It's really hard to
- 1:48:21Speaker 2: tell until we get close. Then you really know.
- 1:48:24Speaker 3: By then it's too late.
- 1:48:26Speaker 2: All right, you're six o'clock, Heyward his dollar d O
- 1:48:29Speaker 2: L L A R. Slide over to real radiodut of
- 1:48:32Speaker 2: M and send an off for your chance at one
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: thousand bucks. Remember, if you're playing the game. Got to
- 1:48:35Speaker 2: turn that phone on, got to turn it up, and
- 1:48:37Speaker 2: of course you have to answer it. Even if you
- 1:48:39Speaker 2: do not recognize the number that's coming through, you got
- 1:48:41Speaker 2: to pick it up. That's how they tell you.
- 1:48:43Speaker 5: One most likely it's going to say no caller ID.
- 1:48:45Speaker 5: Just take your chance. Somebody texted us last week and
- 1:48:48Speaker 5: said they picked up that call that said no caller
- 1:48:50Speaker 5: ID in one one thousand dollars.
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: That's right, it didn't news.
- 1:48:52Speaker 3: You have a winner today, monsters. It was ten a m.
- 1:48:55Speaker 2: We had a winter this morning. Very nice, right, good
- 1:48:58Speaker 2: for those guys. That's awesome. And this is next week?
- 1:49:00Speaker 2: Is the last week or one more after that? I
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: think two more weeks?
- 1:49:02Speaker 3: Yeah, very good. Welcome back on Jim, there's dead Hello
- 1:49:05Speaker 3: Jack is here as well?
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, today was a big, big This story was
- 1:49:09Speaker 2: a gigantic story. By the way, millions of YouTube TV
- 1:49:13Speaker 2: subscribers lost access to ESPN and the Disney Network. Yeah,
- 1:49:19Speaker 2: like out of nowhere you. And the thing is, it's
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: weird because a lot of people either like, what do
- 1:49:24Speaker 2: you use for regular TV?
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: Hulu?
- 1:49:26Speaker 2: So I do as well, Jack, you what do you use?
- 1:49:28Speaker 2: I don't have a regular TV? You don't have your
- 1:49:30Speaker 2: I have an INTENDA for over the air. I get
- 1:49:32Speaker 2: the networks over the air, and the only thing that
- 1:49:35Speaker 2: I miss I miss out.
- 1:49:36Speaker 3: On is ESPN is ESPN.
- 1:49:38Speaker 2: Well it says, uh, they lost access to Disney and
- 1:49:41Speaker 2: ESPN after Google and Disney cannot reach an agreement deal. Now,
- 1:49:44Speaker 2: usually these things go a couple of weeks or a
- 1:49:46Speaker 2: couple of days or whatever, and they come to an
- 1:49:48Speaker 2: agreement of some sort and then they'll kind of hammer
- 1:49:50Speaker 2: it out. But not one hundred percent shore that's going
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: to happen this time, And that's gonna be a bitch, man,
- 1:49:54Speaker 2: because I mean, if you have a kid, a channel
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: package that you like, and it happens to have the
- 1:49:59Speaker 2: packckage and then they drop one, especially the Disney channel,
- 1:50:02Speaker 2: well both of.
- 1:50:02Speaker 5: Those ESPN, especially tonight Game six right yea, the Sports
- 1:50:06Speaker 5: Center tomorrow morning.
- 1:50:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right, it's it's Network TV though for the Yeah,
- 1:50:11Speaker 3: so that's Fox. You know.
- 1:50:12Speaker 2: So you got an antenna your set, I mean getting
- 1:50:16Speaker 2: an antenna last minute. Yeah, But I mean sometimes you
- 1:50:18Speaker 2: can get that stuff over the air, even with that
- 1:50:20Speaker 2: little thing that will hook to the back of your
- 1:50:21Speaker 2: like just to be wire.
- 1:50:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:50:23Speaker 2: According to the New York Times, YouTube claimed that Disney
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: threatened to remove its content if a new deal to
- 1:50:28Speaker 2: play Disney more money wasn't complete before a midnight deal
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: deadline on Friday. Boy, they're playing hardball over there. Think
- 1:50:35Speaker 2: about that. I mean, in corporate that's Disney, right, saying hey, look,
- 1:50:38Speaker 2: you need to pay more money or you can't play
- 1:50:40Speaker 2: our stuff on your YouTube channels. That's hardball, right, That's
- 1:50:44Speaker 2: what you do use your leverage in business.
- 1:50:47Speaker 6: Oh.
- 1:50:48Speaker 2: YouTube is the largest internet TV provider in the US,
- 1:50:52Speaker 2: with over nine million subscribers. Ulu, which is owned by Disney,
- 1:50:56Speaker 2: has roughly half that many subscribers. Do you think maybe
- 1:50:59Speaker 2: the the reason people maybe subscribe to YouTube more than
- 1:51:02Speaker 2: Hulu is just simply because of name recognition, or do
- 1:51:05Speaker 2: you think they really shot out the package.
- 1:51:08Speaker 3: I don't know I took. When YouTube tv first came out,
- 1:51:14Speaker 3: I signed up and was I don't know, it might
- 1:51:16Speaker 3: have been thirty thirty five dollars a month. I believe
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: it's what double that now? Yeah? Yeah? And what I
- 1:51:22Speaker 3: just I kept saying it go up five dollars or
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: five dollars, and then suddenly it's like, well, I gave
- 1:51:29Speaker 3: up cable TV. I mean, the only thing, right, The
- 1:51:32Speaker 3: only thing difference is the physical coaxial cable or you
- 1:51:36Speaker 3: have internet, you know, so other than that, it's the same.
- 1:51:40Speaker 3: So I did away with that and that was the
- 1:51:42Speaker 3: last cord I cut. Yeah, so I you know, I
- 1:51:46Speaker 3: have many of the streaming packages, not all of them.
- 1:51:48Speaker 3: I've been cutting back on those, and the antenna for
- 1:51:52Speaker 3: over the air, but I also have what is fire
- 1:51:56Speaker 3: TV recast, So the antenna goes into that that connects
- 1:52:00Speaker 3: to you know, then that Wi Fi connects to my
- 1:52:04Speaker 3: TV and so I can record over the air stuff.
- 1:52:07Speaker 3: That's cool.
- 1:52:07Speaker 5: Well, that's cool.
- 1:52:08Speaker 3: Yeah, that's really cool.
- 1:52:08Speaker 2: That's my DVR. How much do you spend on like,
- 1:52:11Speaker 2: how many streaming.
- 1:52:12Speaker 3: Services do you use? We have quite a few, do
- 1:52:14Speaker 3: you really?
- 1:52:14Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:52:15Speaker 2: We do HBO, Max, Paramount, Netflix and Hulu primarily. I
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: think that's our I think we have the Disney Channel.
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: We just don't watch it very often because you know,
- 1:52:27Speaker 2: give it well. I mean, the thing is is it
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: has like Ted Lasso and a couple other shows we
- 1:52:30Speaker 2: probably should at least try. But we have on Apple.
- 1:52:33Speaker 2: Oh yeah, do you have that Apples what I was
- 1:52:35Speaker 2: talking about. I don't have Disney.
- 1:52:37Speaker 3: I have Apple. Apple is the one where because it's
- 1:52:39Speaker 3: connected to my it goes through your iPhone or the
- 1:52:42Speaker 3: Apple account whatever to the app store, and then I
- 1:52:45Speaker 3: get that push notification once a month when it charges
- 1:52:48Speaker 3: my card and I look at it. Did I even
- 1:52:50Speaker 3: watch that this month? Did I go a whole month
- 1:52:53Speaker 3: without watching? And I'm still paying for this stupid thing?
- 1:52:55Speaker 5: Well, you're still paying for PBS and you don't mind that.
- 1:52:59Speaker 2: Maybe I AMBS so you don't have to pay for
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: a PBS.
- 1:53:04Speaker 3: He saw, Well, you donate because they run on donations,
- 1:53:08Speaker 3: especially now that the federal government is saying, hey, we're
- 1:53:10Speaker 3: not donating. Yeah, but that was an old credit card.
- 1:53:14Speaker 3: It was no longer have that credit card.
- 1:53:15Speaker 5: It was a what'd you do?
- 1:53:16Speaker 3: That's new?
- 1:53:17Speaker 5: That required Jack to lay out some money member the
- 1:53:20Speaker 5: oh yeah, Scintillating cat documentary Signed documentary.
- 1:53:23Speaker 3: Yeah, but it was on demand, but only if you
- 1:53:26Speaker 3: at a certain subscription level. Yeah, and so I signed up,
- 1:53:29Speaker 3: but then lost a password and couldn't stop donating, I
- 1:53:32Speaker 3: think for a couple of years.
- 1:53:34Speaker 2: I think the last package I had with bright House
- 1:53:36Speaker 2: or Spectrum at the time when I when I quit
- 1:53:38Speaker 2: them when we moved out of because it wasn't even
- 1:53:41Speaker 2: in Geneva. The last Spectrum package we have was in
- 1:53:43Speaker 2: Baldwin Park and I think, you know, we had some
- 1:53:45Speaker 2: of the movie channels and whatnot. I think it was
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: like one hundred and thirty or forty or something dollars
- 1:53:49Speaker 2: a month for what we got there. And I was like, oh, well,
- 1:53:52Speaker 2: the streaming thing will work. I pay that much or
- 1:53:54Speaker 2: more now because of all the packages I have, because
- 1:53:56Speaker 2: every one of them was like twenty two dollars. Okay,
- 1:53:58Speaker 2: didn't Netflix, just Jack theirs as well. I like, I
- 1:54:01Speaker 2: like avoiding breaking the law. However, I knew there was
- 1:54:05Speaker 2: a button.
- 1:54:06Speaker 3: Yeah, so I went on my trip. I'm in New
- 1:54:09Speaker 3: Hampshire and we're watching the Patriots play, because that's all
- 1:54:13Speaker 3: they do in New England. They is watched the Patriots
- 1:54:16Speaker 3: or the Red Sox or the Bruins, what the Celtics. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:54:20Speaker 3: However they had it was a little box that they
- 1:54:24Speaker 3: had and all the NFL games were there and everything
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: else on. All the channels you want to see are
- 1:54:31Speaker 3: on this little box. And what'd you do with that box?
- 1:54:33Speaker 3: I don't want to get that box.
- 1:54:35Speaker 2: I thought, you they have the breaking the wall thing,
- 1:54:37Speaker 2: they have a b no, but I have a feeling
- 1:54:40Speaker 2: when you get a box like that, you are broking,
- 1:54:43Speaker 2: you think, so, I think when you buy the box,
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: not when you're using it. Maybe buying the box or
- 1:54:47Speaker 2: maybe selling the boxes legal.
- 1:54:49Speaker 3: I want one of.
- 1:54:49Speaker 7: Those bo so.
- 1:54:52Speaker 2: I knew a guy back in the day.
- 1:54:53Speaker 3: I will not tell you who it is.
- 1:54:56Speaker 2: But used to be able to jail break fire stick.
- 1:55:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, really yeah, the jail broken fire stick.
- 1:55:03Speaker 3: But they would.
- 1:55:03Speaker 2: What happened was is they would send out some kind
- 1:55:06Speaker 2: of code like every two weeks or something like that,
- 1:55:09Speaker 2: and it would it would just kind of bust it up.
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: It would jam up the jail break or it would
- 1:55:13Speaker 2: send a signal that would render it useless anymore. Then
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: you'd have to rejail break it. After a while, this
- 1:55:18Speaker 2: person did not want to jail break the things anymore.
- 1:55:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:55:22Speaker 5: Somebody just texted us at seven seven zero three one
- 1:55:25Speaker 5: reminding us the Florida Georgia game is tomorrow on ESPN.
- 1:55:29Speaker 5: Lots of people going to be mad. A wow, huge game.
- 1:55:35Speaker 2: A lot of bars tomorrow.
- 1:55:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:55:37Speaker 5: Yeah, go to Frogers exactly for convenient Areia location.
- 1:55:40Speaker 3: You'll be able to watch the game there frogers dot com.
- 1:55:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's crazy man, that they would just kind of
- 1:55:46Speaker 2: I mean, look, I guess you understand that. I mean,
- 1:55:49Speaker 2: Disney wants to get the most for their their content,
- 1:55:51Speaker 2: and I'm sure that on that YouTube TV package that
- 1:55:54Speaker 2: Disney's got to be one of the more popular channels.
- 1:55:56Speaker 5: But here's the part that sucks, right because once again,
- 1:55:59Speaker 5: the consumers take it in the shorts. Because Disney may
- 1:56:01Speaker 5: get more money for its programming of Disney ABC and ESPN,
- 1:56:06Speaker 5: doesn't mean Disney's going to turn around and say, Okay, folks,
- 1:56:08Speaker 5: your streaming bill is going to be less now because
- 1:56:11Speaker 5: we got more money for our content. So we're still
- 1:56:14Speaker 5: end up holding the bag. You end up having to
- 1:56:15Speaker 5: go somewhere to watch a big college football game because
- 1:56:18Speaker 5: you're well streaming service all of a sudden doesn't carry it,
- 1:56:21Speaker 5: and then you're not going to look at getting you know,
- 1:56:23Speaker 5: reduced prices.
- 1:56:24Speaker 3: Well, what you have an option to do is then
- 1:56:27Speaker 3: just buy the bundle from Disney TV and get the
- 1:56:30Speaker 3: bundle of Disney Hulu and ESPN. But the ESPN, I
- 1:56:36Speaker 3: mean I think that alone is thirty dollars a month.
- 1:56:40Speaker 5: I mean, that's why we do the T mobile thing
- 1:56:42Speaker 5: a lot, because I mean, at least has how it
- 1:56:45Speaker 5: has been the last couple of years with that MLB
- 1:56:47Speaker 5: package that the money you saved.
- 1:56:50Speaker 3: So on they have with T and each I believe
- 1:56:53Speaker 3: each cell carrier kind of at least the bigger ones, right,
- 1:56:56Speaker 3: they give you the discount streaming to keep everyone from
- 1:56:59Speaker 3: going the cellular in the cheaper one. Yeah yeah right.
- 1:57:02Speaker 3: But with T Mobile now.
- 1:57:04Speaker 2: We get the Baseball package for free, Soccer MLS package
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: for free, and Netflix.
- 1:57:10Speaker 5: Yeah exactly, exactly, dude.
- 1:57:12Speaker 2: Google did not f around with their statement about this,
- 1:57:14Speaker 2: by the way, it says the Sports Business Journal also
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: receive a statement from Google that Red and Pard quote.
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: Last week, Disney used the threat of a blackout on
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: YouTube TV as a negotiating tactic to force deal terms
- 1:57:25Speaker 2: that would raise prices on our customers. They're now following
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: through on that threat, so spending their content on YouTube TV.
- 1:57:32Speaker 2: This decision directly harms our subscribers while benefiting their own
- 1:57:37Speaker 2: live TV products, including Hulu plus A Live TV and Fubo.
- 1:57:42Speaker 2: YouTube added in their statement that subscribers can receive an
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: offer of a twenty dollars credit on YouTube TV if
- 1:57:47Speaker 2: Disney content stays off the platform for an extended length
- 1:57:50Speaker 2: of time. In other words, YouTube TV will bonus back
- 1:57:53Speaker 2: the cost of what the Disney channel would cost them
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: if it stays gone for a while.
- 1:57:58Speaker 5: Still, though, you're inconvenienced into having to figure out which
- 1:58:01Speaker 5: Roger's location you can go to tomorrow to watch the
- 1:58:04Speaker 5: Florida Georgia game. You can't just sit on your couch.
- 1:58:06Speaker 5: Like what if you were having a big, you know,
- 1:58:08Speaker 5: big party at your house and everyone was coming over
- 1:58:10Speaker 5: to crush again. And now you've got to call everybody
- 1:58:15Speaker 5: up and say, well, I mean, can you get another
- 1:58:18Speaker 5: streaming service sometime?
- 1:58:19Speaker 3: You can streaming service you could get in minutes, right,
- 1:58:23Speaker 3: so you do a one month subscription or Sling TV.
- 1:58:26Speaker 3: That's what I every October. And I forget this every October.
- 1:58:30Speaker 3: This happens to me. And when I look at my passwords,
- 1:58:32Speaker 3: I realize that I've used every possible email address. I
- 1:58:36Speaker 3: have to get diffree trials. But I do Sling TV
- 1:58:39Speaker 3: every October because the past several years the Major League
- 1:58:43Speaker 3: Baseball playoffs, at least in the American League have been
- 1:58:46Speaker 3: on like FS one. I don't get FS one. That's
- 1:58:49Speaker 3: a cable channel or you know. So it allows me
- 1:58:53Speaker 3: to do that. And you can also get ESPN on
- 1:58:57Speaker 3: Sling TV. So in a situation like that and slim
- 1:59:00Speaker 3: TV offers, we used to do something the end of
- 1:59:02Speaker 3: this week.
- 1:59:03Speaker 2: That's opening commercials.
- 1:59:06Speaker 3: Yeah, they offer a twenty four hour package. I think
- 1:59:09Speaker 3: it's like seven dollars. You get it for night, but
- 1:59:12Speaker 3: it's a limited amount of channels. But if it has
- 1:59:15Speaker 3: the channel you want, you can get it for like
- 1:59:17Speaker 3: seven bucks for a day, fourteen bucks for a week,
- 1:59:19Speaker 3: or you can do the weekend. That's cool. You can
- 1:59:23Speaker 3: spend a nominal small amount of money.
- 1:59:25Speaker 5: And save your football party.
- 1:59:27Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:59:28Speaker 2: The Associated Press noted that the breakdown could affect the
- 1:59:30Speaker 2: coverage of some college football games on Saturday, NBA, NFL
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: and NHL games as well.
- 1:59:35Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, there's a lot of sports going on
- 1:59:37Speaker 5: this week, and you've got Game six of the World
- 1:59:39Speaker 5: Series tonight. You've got college football all this weekend, all
- 1:59:43Speaker 5: the NFL games.
- 1:59:44Speaker 2: I was gonna watch the substance tonight, but they got
- 1:59:47Speaker 2: Game six of the World Series.
- 1:59:49Speaker 3: You gotta watch that. I gotta watch that.
- 1:59:51Speaker 2: By the way, I just got to bleep a blip
- 1:59:53Speaker 2: from a Clickorlando dot com saying this is the coldest
- 1:59:56Speaker 2: Halloween since nineteen ninety three. So for over thirty years.
- 2:00:00Speaker 2: This is the coldest Halloween in thirty years, and that
- 2:00:03Speaker 2: is the last time that the Toronto Blue Jays won
- 2:00:05Speaker 2: the World Series.
- 2:00:06Speaker 5: Oh wow, wow, that's right. I heard that stat last night.
- 2:00:10Speaker 5: I couldn't believe that that's been that long for them.
- 2:00:12Speaker 3: Oh that's crazy, yees.
- 2:00:13Speaker 5: Sunsets night's going to be six forty one.
- 2:00:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:00:16Speaker 5: Yeah, So let's see tempts right now, we're looking at
- 2:00:19Speaker 5: what do you think it is?
- 2:00:20Speaker 3: Right now? It's six fourteen and that's six forty one.
- 2:00:22Speaker 3: You'd all you have to do is switch hot to numbers.
- 2:00:24Speaker 3: Oh man, that's sixty two degrees.
- 2:00:25Speaker 5: It's sixty six right now, very nice?
- 2:00:28Speaker 2: Seven seven zero thirty one. That's how you text us
- 2:00:30Speaker 2: your six o'clock. Hey, word, does dollar d O L

- 2:00:59Speaker 4: Hey, Deborah, I think you might need to check with
- 2:01:02Speaker 4: Tori first, because you know how Jim does you blame
- 2:01:07Speaker 4: it on her setting a cruise data one of your
- 2:01:12Speaker 4: day that you're getting married. See, you better do that
- 2:01:15Speaker 4: this is Scott from Tennessee.
- 2:01:16Speaker 2: That you guys, thanks, but I appreciate that so much.
- 2:01:19Speaker 5: Scott Tennessee.
- 2:01:20Speaker 3: He makes a very good point, though, Deb, he does,
- 2:01:22Speaker 3: all right, very good this way, it's.
- 2:01:23Speaker 5: April what now, twenty fifth?
- 2:01:26Speaker 2: All right for US seven nine one four one text
- 2:01:28Speaker 2: US seven seven zero three one dollar is your six o'clock.
- 2:01:31Speaker 3: You are d L L A R.
- 2:01:32Speaker 2: Slide your ass over to real Radio dot FM and
- 2:01:34Speaker 2: send that on for your chance at one thousand of
- 2:01:36Speaker 2: those dollars. I'm Jim, there's Deb. Hello, Jack is here
- 2:01:40Speaker 2: as well, Yo. Day before we get to Jay and
- 2:01:42Speaker 2: I have to laugh. I was laughing as we came back.
- 2:01:45Speaker 2: I look over here to the right, and when you
- 2:01:47Speaker 2: see our texting service, it has the text that comes in,
- 2:01:50Speaker 2: there's the number it's associated with it, and then we
- 2:01:52Speaker 2: can respond to you if we'd like. When you respond,
- 2:01:55Speaker 2: there's a little envelope that shows that it's been responded to.
- 2:01:58Speaker 2: I look over and said, look up. Superboxs had it
- 2:02:01Speaker 2: for about three years now, occasionally had issues, but not
- 2:02:03Speaker 2: very often. Approximately three hundred and fifty dollars no monthly fees.
- 2:02:07Speaker 2: Somebody responded to that.
- 2:02:09Speaker 5: Actually the top three that all had to do with
- 2:02:13Speaker 5: hookup streaming TV channels bundled for ninety dollars every six months.
- 2:02:17Speaker 2: That's funny, all responded to. I wonder, Yeah, I mean,
- 2:02:19Speaker 2: did you respond to a Texas break?
- 2:02:21Speaker 11: No?
- 2:02:21Speaker 3: I did because he sent me the Holy Chattels for free,
- 2:02:24Speaker 3: and I'm like, well, I would like to know about that.
- 2:02:26Speaker 3: Then they said more information than I think. Yeah, very good.
- 2:02:29Speaker 3: All right, let's do eight bit update. It's game time
- 2:02:33Speaker 3: on Real Radio.
- 2:02:34Speaker 1: Get ready for the your quick hit on gaming news
- 2:02:39Speaker 1: reviews and a little chaos as Pop Pomp tries Gaming.
- 2:02:44Speaker 9: Fit update with Jayden's starts.
- 2:02:46Speaker 5: Now, everybody excuse me, it's batman.
- 2:02:51Speaker 3: Yayamanaman.
- 2:02:54Speaker 9: I don't Mandy, you're watching you like the costume?
- 2:02:58Speaker 2: I do like the costume. I would rob somebody in
- 2:03:00Speaker 2: front of you.
- 2:03:01Speaker 9: I would stop you. I'm fighting crime tonight?
- 2:03:04Speaker 3: Or are you going to be creating crime tonight?
- 2:03:07Speaker 9: I could be who knows?
- 2:03:08Speaker 3: Are you going after this for real?
- 2:03:09Speaker 5: Is?
- 2:03:10Speaker 11: No?
- 2:03:10Speaker 9: Absolutely not. I just wanted to wear it today, dude.
- 2:03:13Speaker 3: Is this something you had around?
- 2:03:15Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 2:03:15Speaker 19: I wore this at high school to a Halloween party
- 2:03:18Speaker 19: like two years ago, and I was like, what a
- 2:03:20Speaker 19: perfect time to bring out the Batman costume.
- 2:03:22Speaker 2: Let me tell you how old I feel. He goes
- 2:03:25Speaker 2: awore this in high school. In my head, I'm thinking, oh,
- 2:03:27Speaker 2: you can still fit in that. Then he drops it's
- 2:03:28Speaker 2: you a year ago, like a year ago.
- 2:03:32Speaker 9: Okay, it's like two years ago. If that makes you
- 2:03:34Speaker 9: feel good.
- 2:03:35Speaker 2: Jayden drops by on Fridays around six point thirty two
- 2:03:38Speaker 2: kind of share what's going on in the world of gaming.
- 2:03:40Speaker 2: We have a lot of friends and family out there
- 2:03:42Speaker 2: and listeners who game and stuff. I'm kind of beginning
- 2:03:45Speaker 2: to get in there now. I'm gonna give you adds
- 2:03:46Speaker 2: up right now. I did not get a chance to
- 2:03:47Speaker 2: get to your game this week.
- 2:03:48Speaker 9: It's all right, I need to give you a new
- 2:03:49Speaker 9: one because I knew you did it.
- 2:03:50Speaker 2: Yeah, please don't because there's no reason to do that.
- 2:03:53Speaker 2: I will be able to get to it this weekend,
- 2:03:54Speaker 2: so I have some free time. This week was a
- 2:03:55Speaker 2: really tough week, so I did not get a chance
- 2:03:57Speaker 2: to get in there. But what do you have first
- 2:03:59Speaker 2: this week?
- 2:03:59Speaker 3: Big Doug?
- 2:04:00Speaker 19: All right, So I saved this for the very special
- 2:04:02Speaker 19: day of Halloween. Of course, Halloween. Michael Myers is getting
- 2:04:05Speaker 19: a video game, a Slasher video game.
- 2:04:08Speaker 9: It comes out next year.
- 2:04:10Speaker 2: Sadly, is this the very first one that has Really
- 2:04:13Speaker 2: it's weird that I don't see many video games that
- 2:04:16Speaker 2: have like themes like that. I think a Halloween video
- 2:04:18Speaker 2: game would be pretty bad ass, like a horror based.
- 2:04:20Speaker 9: So there's been a couple.
- 2:04:21Speaker 19: Friday the Thirteenth had a game that was really successful.
- 2:04:24Speaker 19: It popped off, it was alive for years. But I
- 2:04:28Speaker 19: don't know if you know this. All these slasher characters
- 2:04:30Speaker 19: have the worst like contracts, and no one knows who
- 2:04:33Speaker 19: owns these characters.
- 2:04:35Speaker 2: So in other words, it's hard to license the character
- 2:04:37Speaker 2: to create something around.
- 2:04:38Speaker 9: Yes, it's so hard.
- 2:04:39Speaker 19: You can't even buy the Friday the Thirteenth game and
- 2:04:41Speaker 19: got nuked off the internet because of that.
- 2:04:43Speaker 3: You know, I know that's correct, dude.
- 2:04:44Speaker 2: We did a trivia about Texas Chainsaw massacre a while
- 2:04:47Speaker 2: back and that very thing came up. Not many of
- 2:04:50Speaker 2: the actors or people worked on it made any money
- 2:04:52Speaker 2: because of the way the deal was constructed, because it
- 2:04:54Speaker 2: could be one word that could separate you from getting
- 2:04:58Speaker 2: your money. But those people know how to do that stuff.
- 2:05:00Speaker 2: So that makes perfect sense because that they ran through
- 2:05:02Speaker 2: that very same thing.
- 2:05:03Speaker 19: That's that was my another example the Texas Chainsaw had
- 2:05:06Speaker 19: a video game. It was a live It was doing
- 2:05:08Speaker 19: good for maybe three weeks, and I don't even think
- 2:05:10Speaker 19: you can buy it now.
- 2:05:11Speaker 2: Oh really yeah, yeah, man, that was a That was
- 2:05:14Speaker 2: a really interesting part of that story, because you would
- 2:05:16Speaker 2: think it's such a low budget movie that who would
- 2:05:19Speaker 2: pay attention to that. They didn't think it was gonna
- 2:05:20Speaker 2: do anything, And of course then it became a phenomenon
- 2:05:23Speaker 2: and then everybody cared and they made tens of millions
- 2:05:26Speaker 2: of dollars off the licensing of that. And it was
- 2:05:28Speaker 2: these two mob dudes.
- 2:05:29Speaker 3: That's I didn't know that, that's correct.
- 2:05:32Speaker 2: I think the entire thing was kind of almost taken
- 2:05:33Speaker 2: over by these two mob guys. If you read the
- 2:05:35Speaker 2: story about Texas Chainsaw is actually very cool.
- 2:05:37Speaker 9: This is why I dress up as Batman. I got
- 2:05:39Speaker 9: to stop the mob.
- 2:05:40Speaker 3: Get them, get them Batman.
- 2:05:42Speaker 19: So it's it's gonna be like the Friday thirteenth, the
- 2:05:45Speaker 19: Texas Chainsaw games. It's a it's a one v four
- 2:05:47Speaker 19: So there's one Michael Myers versus four survivors. You gotta
- 2:05:50Speaker 19: do tasks to get out of the town or tail
- 2:05:53Speaker 19: Michael Myers, whatever, whatever the objective is.
- 2:05:56Speaker 9: But we got to wait a whole year for it.
- 2:05:58Speaker 19: I don't know why they would announce it coming up
- 2:06:00Speaker 19: to this Halloween and announce it for next Halloween. It
- 2:06:03Speaker 19: doesn't it's it's such bad marketing. I don't it's not
- 2:06:07Speaker 19: bad marketing. I just don't understand the timeframes when it
- 2:06:09Speaker 19: comes to these videos.
- 2:06:10Speaker 2: Do you think they do? You think that users just
- 2:06:12Speaker 2: kind of understand the time it takes to develop a game,
- 2:06:15Speaker 2: and it's important for the developers to let people know
- 2:06:17Speaker 2: that we have this cooking right now. Is that what
- 2:06:19Speaker 2: do you think is going on?
- 2:06:20Speaker 9: Probably because it takes a while to make video games.
- 2:06:23Speaker 19: Now. Back in the day, you could have made a
- 2:06:25Speaker 19: whole trilogy of video games in a span of two years.
- 2:06:28Speaker 2: Yeah, because, I mean it just the users didn't really
- 2:06:30Speaker 2: expect a whole lot.
- 2:06:31Speaker 19: Yeah no, And it wasn't that hard to make a
- 2:06:33Speaker 19: video game compared to now where you have all these engines,
- 2:06:36Speaker 19: all these graphics, everything everyone wants super realistic stuff.
- 2:06:39Speaker 2: Is how do you guys explain like the popularity of
- 2:06:42Speaker 2: games like, uh, like, it's not roadblocks, it's the other
- 2:06:46Speaker 2: one Minecraft, Minecraft being so rudimentary, and then other games
- 2:06:51Speaker 2: to sell they have to have the most amazing graphics
- 2:06:53Speaker 2: and sound and everything like that. Is that just an
- 2:06:55Speaker 2: age difference thing?
- 2:06:56Speaker 19: You could put that as an age difference thing, But
- 2:06:58Speaker 19: I just feel like everyone so picky and it has
- 2:07:02Speaker 19: to be a good game for people not to care
- 2:07:03Speaker 19: about the graphics nowadays, like Minecraft.
- 2:07:06Speaker 9: Play Minecraft all day?
- 2:07:07Speaker 3: I really like it's fun.
- 2:07:08Speaker 9: Oh yeah, dude, I play Minecraft to this day.
- 2:07:11Speaker 3: Do you really?
- 2:07:12Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 2:07:12Speaker 19: Okay, it's not like I play it all the time.
- 2:07:14Speaker 19: But once a year I'll be like, oh, Minecraft, that
- 2:07:16Speaker 19: sounds fun, and I'll play it for like a month.
- 2:07:17Speaker 2: Isn't that usually played by I mean, I'm not dogging
- 2:07:19Speaker 2: you here. Isn't it usually like played by kids, like
- 2:07:21Speaker 2: under an age of twelve, thirteen years old or whatever?
- 2:07:23Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 2:07:23Speaker 9: Yeah, for sure.
- 2:07:24Speaker 19: I grew up with Minecraft, Huge Minecraft kids. So when
- 2:07:26Speaker 19: I go back to it, it's like, oh man, I'm
- 2:07:28Speaker 19: reliving a childhood thing, right.
- 2:07:29Speaker 5: You remember that's a year or two?
- 2:07:31Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 2:07:31Speaker 19: Yeah, this was like like six months ago.
- 2:07:35Speaker 9: Maybe it wasn't that long.
- 2:07:36Speaker 5: Stuff that you're still making us feel bad.
- 2:07:40Speaker 19: I told you guys about a Call of Duty movie
- 2:07:42Speaker 19: not too long ago. Well we got a little more
- 2:07:45Speaker 19: news about it. It's gonna be a paramount film. I'm assuming, yeah,
- 2:07:48Speaker 19: that's great. I mean it's gonna have some fun to
- 2:07:50Speaker 19: get yeah, exactly, I'm assuming it's gonna be a streaming
- 2:07:53Speaker 19: movie compared to an actual theaters movie.
- 2:07:55Speaker 2: It doesn't matter anymore.
- 2:07:57Speaker 9: It really doesn't.
- 2:07:58Speaker 2: I don't think it matters anymore at all. I mean
- 2:07:59Speaker 2: I used to think that was a big deal, no matter.
- 2:08:01Speaker 19: Which is so sad because the movies are one of
- 2:08:03Speaker 19: my favorite things ever in life, and.
- 2:08:05Speaker 2: There have been a number of very successful video games
- 2:08:09Speaker 2: turned into movie franchises. You know, a tomb Raider just
- 2:08:13Speaker 2: starting there.
- 2:08:14Speaker 19: But a bunch of them, right, Yeah, Resident Evil had
- 2:08:16Speaker 19: a couple, Assassin's Creed had some, hit Man had some.
- 2:08:19Speaker 19: Now I didn't name the best movies, but their video
- 2:08:22Speaker 19: game movies. Yeah, they still work. But they got the
- 2:08:25Speaker 19: co co creator of Yellowstone. I have not seen Yellowstone
- 2:08:29Speaker 19: Hurts a great TV show, though, so I have some
- 2:08:31Speaker 19: faith in this movie.
- 2:08:32Speaker 3: I'll be damn. I didn't know that.
- 2:08:33Speaker 19: Yeah, this just came out within the last day or so.
- 2:08:36Speaker 19: But the movie again, the Call of Duty.
- 2:08:38Speaker 5: Movie, Oh yeah, I've been hearing a lot about that.
- 2:08:40Speaker 19: Yeah, I didn't think there was like actually gonna get
- 2:08:43Speaker 19: going I've been hearing about this since I was in school,
- 2:08:45Speaker 19: like elementary school, but now it seems like it actually
- 2:08:47Speaker 19: has funding and everything going behind it.
- 2:08:49Speaker 9: So yeah, my bad, I'm sorry.
- 2:08:51Speaker 2: They could do a Yellowstone game. Hell of red Dead.
- 2:08:55Speaker 2: They could do a game they you already have it.
- 2:08:56Speaker 19: It's Red Dead is what it is, pretty much, which
- 2:09:01Speaker 19: is the greatest game of all time?
- 2:09:02Speaker 7: Thank you?
- 2:09:03Speaker 3: Is it really? Yes?
- 2:09:04Speaker 2: That's so wild that you guys say that considering most
- 2:09:07Speaker 2: people believe like most people my age, I should say,
- 2:09:09Speaker 2: believe that the gaming community is just basically shooting, just
- 2:09:13Speaker 2: balls out shooting everybody. But yet Red Dead is that?
- 2:09:16Speaker 2: Is that a common thought process that the Red Dead's
- 2:09:18Speaker 2: the best game ever?
- 2:09:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's up there, and it has better graphics. But
- 2:09:22Speaker 3: you talked about like Minecraft and the simpler games, why
- 2:09:25Speaker 3: are they still being played? And it's finding that balance
- 2:09:29Speaker 3: where gamers who play all the time, like Jayden here,
- 2:09:34Speaker 3: or older people who might not be as quick on
- 2:09:37Speaker 3: the controller.
- 2:09:39Speaker 2: And me, thank you, but be able to enjoy because
- 2:09:42Speaker 2: the game meets you where you are, where it adapts
- 2:09:46Speaker 2: to your skills and allows you to have that enjoyment
- 2:09:50Speaker 2: in it, and it's such an immersive environment in Red
- 2:09:53Speaker 2: Dead where you get to catch digital fish and ride
- 2:09:57Speaker 2: a digital horse and rob a digital bay. Oh yeah,
- 2:10:00Speaker 2: I like that bart, you know, and sleep with digital hookers. Easy,
- 2:10:05Speaker 2: yea tuberculosis?
- 2:10:06Speaker 3: How does it?
- 2:10:07Speaker 7: My heart?
- 2:10:08Speaker 2: How graphic does that get? You just kind of go
- 2:10:09Speaker 2: into a room and just assume it's done. I mean,
- 2:10:13Speaker 2: are you literally? Are you literally humping.
- 2:10:15Speaker 3: With the joystick?
- 2:10:16Speaker 2: And Grand theft Auto the car you'd see the back
- 2:10:19Speaker 2: of a car and the car would vibrate, but your
- 2:10:21Speaker 2: controller vibrates as well.
- 2:10:24Speaker 9: Back in the day, granted Auto.
- 2:10:26Speaker 19: On the PS two they had this thing called the
- 2:10:28Speaker 19: Hot Coffee Mod and there was a mini game where
- 2:10:30Speaker 19: you for real had.
- 2:10:31Speaker 9: Had sex with your girlfriend. It was crazy, way really Yeah,
- 2:10:34Speaker 9: they got.
- 2:10:34Speaker 3: It cost them a lot of money, so much money.
- 2:10:37Speaker 19: They got moved up to an adult rating. They got
- 2:10:38Speaker 19: taken off shelves, so they had to remove it completely.
- 2:10:41Speaker 3: Wow, it wasn't that added. Did they know that was
- 2:10:44Speaker 3: in there? They did. They built it into the game,
- 2:10:46Speaker 3: and I watched this whole documentary about it. Then they
- 2:10:50Speaker 3: they buried it. But they lied about it. They lied
- 2:10:54Speaker 3: about it, and they were going to release it in
- 2:10:56Speaker 3: the PC version, but hackers found out about that it
- 2:11:00Speaker 3: became public. Then they had to deal with it and
- 2:11:03Speaker 3: it cost them all the profits they made it.
- 2:11:05Speaker 19: That Yeah, I mean, but now since then have re
- 2:11:08Speaker 19: released that game about eight times and have made that
- 2:11:10Speaker 19: money back and double. So they're okay, NBA Street, you
- 2:11:15Speaker 19: don't have NBA Street.
- 2:11:16Speaker 3: It was maybe, how do you talk to me like that?
- 2:11:18Speaker 9: I've just said, I was thinking you are.
- 2:11:21Speaker 3: You're right when you look at me, you think street.
- 2:11:23Speaker 9: That's og gym right though, og right?
- 2:11:25Speaker 2: Yeah. I have no idea what NBA streets like a
- 2:11:28Speaker 2: street ball game kind of yah.
- 2:11:30Speaker 9: Yeah, it's three exactly, three on three. You jump off
- 2:11:33Speaker 9: the walls, you do all these crazy yeah, you do all.
- 2:11:35Speaker 2: The trady things like karate basketball.
- 2:11:36Speaker 19: Yeah, karate basketball. But it's with NBA players. They haven't
- 2:11:40Speaker 19: made an NBA Street since early two thousands. We finally
- 2:11:43Speaker 19: have somewhat a new version of it coming back.
- 2:11:47Speaker 9: It's a little vibe like it. It's called NBA the Run.
- 2:11:51Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:11:52Speaker 19: I don't really like the name to it, but we
- 2:11:54Speaker 19: don't know much about it. It's expected to come out
- 2:11:56Speaker 19: twenty twenty six all platforms. The graphics look good. It's
- 2:12:00Speaker 19: kind of like a cartoon mixed with real life.
- 2:12:02Speaker 2: And they license the players from the NBA and put
- 2:12:04Speaker 2: them in there, so you can be yokick, you can
- 2:12:06Speaker 2: be wimby.
- 2:12:06Speaker 9: Give me any of the guys, literally, anyone.
- 2:12:08Speaker 19: I don't like two K. Two K is so boring
- 2:12:10Speaker 19: to me. It's been the same game forever, has it?
- 2:12:13Speaker 3: Really?
- 2:12:13Speaker 19: Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of two K like
- 2:12:15Speaker 19: I used to be, so I'm actually very excited for
- 2:12:17Speaker 19: this something new.
- 2:12:18Speaker 9: When it comes to basketball.
- 2:12:19Speaker 2: It's so wild that it's that much time between the
- 2:12:22Speaker 2: releases of these games. I mean, you would think if
- 2:12:24Speaker 2: they're successful, they immediately would start kind of developing the
- 2:12:27Speaker 2: next level of it. But San you're saying, like these
- 2:12:28Speaker 2: these have like decades between them. That's crazy.
- 2:12:31Speaker 3: They do that with like Madden. So Madden has been
- 2:12:33Speaker 3: known they have a game every year, right, and so
- 2:12:36Speaker 3: they just keep you know, printing them. They'll make some
- 2:12:40Speaker 3: modifications and do another one. But when you have a
- 2:12:43Speaker 3: game that's a little more advanced, like Grand Theft Auto
- 2:12:46Speaker 3: and so immersive, it and so the same have success
- 2:12:51Speaker 3: and so the next one they're like, well, people are
- 2:12:53Speaker 3: going to be expecting more, so we have to make
- 2:12:55Speaker 3: it better. So now that the time gap is just
- 2:12:58Speaker 3: going greater and greater in between games. But also what
- 2:13:02Speaker 3: they've done to allow them to do that is they
- 2:13:04Speaker 3: found a way to fight to to generate money by
- 2:13:08Speaker 3: in game purchases, and then that pays for all those
- 2:13:13Speaker 3: years in between. So now they don't have to rush
- 2:13:15Speaker 3: a game out just to sell the game, because they
- 2:13:18Speaker 3: can sell you on stuff inside the game you're already playing.
- 2:13:21Speaker 10: Cool.
- 2:13:21Speaker 19: Yeah, And a lot of these sports games sell their
- 2:13:23Speaker 19: rights to like EA. For example, with Madden, only EA
- 2:13:27Speaker 19: can make.
- 2:13:27Speaker 9: A football game.
- 2:13:28Speaker 19: When it comes to the NFL and the college like
- 2:13:30Speaker 19: they they they're really weird with sports rights.
- 2:13:32Speaker 3: They don't know that.
- 2:13:32Speaker 19: Yeah, they just sell them off and they E I
- 2:13:35Speaker 19: think just extended their deal with the NFL for Madden too.
- 2:13:38Speaker 3: Wow.
- 2:13:38Speaker 19: Yeah, so EA would keep making those games. There's a
- 2:13:41Speaker 19: new game on the Horizon called Dispatch. It's kind of
- 2:13:44Speaker 19: like a Telltale game Telltale games where the story games
- 2:13:46Speaker 19: you pick all the choices that. Yeah, it's like a
- 2:13:49Speaker 19: movie really that you control. So I love those games
- 2:13:52Speaker 19: so much. This one's like a superhero workplace comedy.
- 2:13:56Speaker 9: But the main character is Aaron Paul, Is it really?
- 2:13:59Speaker 3: Yeah? God, haven't heard one from Breaking Back?
- 2:14:01Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 2:14:02Speaker 9: The best show ever, so, I'm so excited for this.
- 2:14:05Speaker 3: That's super cool. You sho to watch that back in
- 2:14:07Speaker 3: high school or middle school?
- 2:14:08Speaker 9: It was high school. It was high school.
- 2:14:09Speaker 3: Don't worry.
- 2:14:10Speaker 2: It was the beginning of high school. It was the
- 2:14:13Speaker 2: beginning of high school on line.
- 2:14:15Speaker 9: Come on, it was junior year.
- 2:14:17Speaker 2: It wasn't junior It could have been junior year, but
- 2:14:19Speaker 2: the series was already done by that.
- 2:14:21Speaker 19: Way long god, yeah, way, I was way behind, but
- 2:14:24Speaker 19: I still watched it.
- 2:14:25Speaker 2: You weren't waiting for episodes, Doug, I was not. I
- 2:14:29Speaker 2: can't tell you the last you were getting changed.
- 2:14:32Speaker 9: I was watching them in class.
- 2:14:34Speaker 19: Yeah, so, yeah, we Aaron Paul is the main character.
- 2:14:38Speaker 19: They have a bunch of different YouTubers for that game.
- 2:14:40Speaker 19: I don't know what the budget was for that, but
- 2:14:42Speaker 19: they got like high profile YouTubers to voice people. Oh really, yeah,
- 2:14:45Speaker 19: so I just kind of came out of nowhere. It
- 2:14:48Speaker 19: seems like a fun game, though, I definitely buy it. Yeah,
- 2:14:50Speaker 19: I love those games.
- 2:14:51Speaker 2: It's just wild. It really is a changing of the guard.
- 2:14:54Speaker 2: I mean to think that they're going to hire YouTubers
- 2:14:57Speaker 2: to do voiceovers when back in the day that would
- 2:14:59Speaker 2: be actors or actresses only because those would be the
- 2:15:01Speaker 2: only names that people would recognize, But now the younger
- 2:15:04Speaker 2: generation probably recognizes way more online personalities than they ever
- 2:15:07Speaker 2: would from mainstream entertainment.
- 2:15:09Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:15:09Speaker 19: This guy on Twitch, his name's Penguins. He showed how
- 2:15:12Speaker 19: much money he's made on streaming and it's well over
- 2:15:15Speaker 19: five million dollars and he's like, yeah, I'm done with donations.
- 2:15:17Speaker 9: I don't need your money anymore.
- 2:15:19Speaker 2: Thank this guy that's crazy name.
- 2:15:21Speaker 19: Yeah, don't worry, I'll throw it in there Now's okay, cool,
- 2:15:24Speaker 19: but I need the money first, so we'll have to
- 2:15:26Speaker 19: like fifty fifty ye. I told you guys about Fallout Day.
- 2:15:29Speaker 19: Fallout Day was horrible, no good announcements. They came out
- 2:15:33Speaker 19: with stuff for Fallout seventy six. No one cares about
- 2:15:35Speaker 19: Fallout seventy six. It's been years. And then they teased
- 2:15:38Speaker 19: a new Vegas remastered and it wasn't a remastered. It
- 2:15:41Speaker 19: was just people saying thank you for playing this fifteen
- 2:15:43Speaker 19: year old game. Here's the same game, but you get
- 2:15:45Speaker 19: a statue when you buy it, this time.
- 2:15:47Speaker 3: A statue only game.
- 2:15:49Speaker 9: No, like you can put it on your desk, you
- 2:15:51Speaker 9: get out of it.
- 2:15:52Speaker 19: Yeah, dude, fifteen year old game sixty dollars you get
- 2:15:54Speaker 19: a statue with it?
- 2:15:55Speaker 9: Are you kidding me?
- 2:15:56Speaker 3: Wow?
- 2:15:58Speaker 2: But it seems to me like the Grand Theft autos
- 2:16:01Speaker 2: would be the most difficult to make because they change
- 2:16:03Speaker 2: the location of those games all the time, so they
- 2:16:05Speaker 2: have to reboot the entire look of the game, whereas
- 2:16:08Speaker 2: opposed to some of these other games like NBA or
- 2:16:10Speaker 2: NFL or whatever, it's still just a football game. All
- 2:16:13Speaker 2: you have to do is really update the names and
- 2:16:14Speaker 2: the teams and things of that nature, right, I mean, yeah,
- 2:16:17Speaker 2: So it'd be easier for them to put one out
- 2:16:18Speaker 2: every year as opposed to a Grand Theft, or they
- 2:16:20Speaker 2: have to change it from Miami to the Chicago or
- 2:16:22Speaker 2: LA or whatever the case may be.
- 2:16:23Speaker 9: Right, Right, I completely understand that.
- 2:16:25Speaker 19: But when Fallout New Vegas is a fifteen year old
- 2:16:28Speaker 19: game and you hype it up like it's going to
- 2:16:29Speaker 19: be a brand new game and then you just give
- 2:16:31Speaker 19: me the same garbage.
- 2:16:33Speaker 2: There's a lot of that in that industry, right, There's
- 2:16:35Speaker 2: too much. And the reason why is because people buy it. Yeah,
- 2:16:37Speaker 2: people pay attention to it because so they're ganging so
- 2:16:40Speaker 2: bad exactly their new stuff that they'll do anything to
- 2:16:42Speaker 2: get a touch. They used to like the iPhone thing, like, dude,
- 2:16:45Speaker 2: we wait outside the store for an iPhone, like for hours, like.
- 2:16:48Speaker 9: Sleep over night, Hey, like it's gonna be there tomorrow, dog, Exactly.
- 2:16:51Speaker 19: It's it's the stupidity of people, and they will keep
- 2:16:54Speaker 19: buying it and buying it and buying it and buying it.
- 2:16:56Speaker 19: I don't understand. This is my last thing here. Sure,
- 2:16:59Speaker 19: battle Field six, I've been talking about.
- 2:17:01Speaker 2: It all You've been waiting for this, like crazy.
- 2:17:04Speaker 19: Yes, I love Battlefield six. It's a very fun game.
- 2:17:06Speaker 19: But they came out with the Battle Royale. No one
- 2:17:09Speaker 19: cares about a Battle Royale. Like five years ago, it
- 2:17:12Speaker 19: would have been popular, would have been cool, but it's
- 2:17:14Speaker 19: just not a game mode people play anymore. Stop wasting
- 2:17:16Speaker 19: your money on these game modes people won't play, and
- 2:17:18Speaker 19: just make your multiplayer phenomenal.
- 2:17:20Speaker 9: It already is, but you can make it even more phenomenal.
- 2:17:22Speaker 2: So Battlefield a shooting game, yes, okay, So wait when
- 2:17:25Speaker 2: you say royale, what does that mean?
- 2:17:27Speaker 19: I mean you versus like one hundred different people, and
- 2:17:30Speaker 19: you're just it's like a survival you have to find
- 2:17:31Speaker 19: loot on the ground, and it's not a fun game mode.
- 2:17:35Speaker 9: No, one cares for it like they used to waste
- 2:17:38Speaker 9: the money.
- 2:17:38Speaker 2: How matter of fact he is about that, he sucks.
- 2:17:43Speaker 3: No one likes.
- 2:17:44Speaker 9: I give you the real answer, Hey.
- 2:17:46Speaker 3: Craig, job today. As always, we appreciate it.
- 2:17:48Speaker 10: You guys.

- 2:17:59Speaker 9: I'll give way awesome. It's phenomenal. I love it. They
- 2:18:02Speaker 9: set me up in the arena. It's it's so dope.
- 2:18:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:18:04Speaker 2: For people who don't know, he's now producing the Right
- 2:18:07Speaker 2: the Pregame show with Brandon Kravitz and and.
- 2:18:09Speaker 9: Jake Jake Chapman.
- 2:18:10Speaker 2: Jake Chapman is awesome in that job, by the way,
- 2:18:13Speaker 2: pregame halftime and then of course post game.
- 2:18:16Speaker 7: Ye.
- 2:18:17Speaker 2: And you're the producer for that, Yes, sir, very cool.

- 2:19:33Speaker 3: it today head on to one Firm for life dot com.
- 2:19:45Speaker 21: Hey guys, you guys should really check out Hulu Live.
- 2:19:47Speaker 21: It's got FS one, ESPN plus PM two, three, four ten,
- 2:19:53Speaker 21: you name it.
- 2:19:54Speaker 3: Acc acc n.
- 2:19:57Speaker 21: I'm a huge deep blue Devil fan, so I to
- 2:20:00Speaker 21: get Hulu. Sling is a little too costly, but Hulu
- 2:20:04Speaker 21: gives you everything that Sling does for its premium and
- 2:20:08Speaker 21: top for the ninety dollars.
- 2:20:10Speaker 4: Non.
- 2:20:10Speaker 21: That sounds a little much, but it's Hulu.
- 2:20:13Speaker 3: Lie, that's what I used, dude. It's good. Yeah. But
- 2:20:16Speaker 3: so since we've been talking about this, and this is
- 2:20:18Speaker 3: what we do. We talk about things, we want more
- 2:20:20Speaker 3: info and then our listeners they don't drop the ball
- 2:20:24Speaker 3: and take that opportunity and they give us the info.
- 2:20:27Speaker 3: And they are telling me these alternate online streaming services
- 2:20:33Speaker 3: that appear to be legal claim they're legal, but when
- 2:20:38Speaker 3: you pay, they accept bitcoin or cash app. It's not
- 2:20:43Speaker 3: a good sign. That's what you call a bad sign,
- 2:20:45Speaker 3: red flag. But this they so many people saying there
- 2:20:50Speaker 3: it's fifty four dollars every three months. We have TV TV.
- 2:20:55Speaker 3: And then I was looking at the other one, which
- 2:20:57Speaker 3: is uh, I forget what one is? Yeah that one
- 2:21:01Speaker 3: looks promising. Yeah, yeah, they're good.
- 2:21:03Speaker 2: All right, Welcome back to the Jim Colbert show. We're
- 2:21:05Speaker 2: already one oh four point one. I am, Jim, Debb
- 2:21:08Speaker 2: and Jack are here as well, stepping out tonight. I
- 2:21:12Speaker 2: just got the heads up. I don't know where it's
- 2:21:13Speaker 2: gonna be though. Oh really, I'll be roaming around Lake
- 2:21:16Speaker 2: County somewhere. If you see me running over or give
- 2:21:18Speaker 2: me a high five, buy me a buy me an
- 2:21:21Speaker 2: old fashion.
- 2:21:22Speaker 3: Like somebody buys Jack because they like him, But that's
- 2:21:24Speaker 3: because I'm a nice guy. Jimmy, you have is what
- 2:21:26Speaker 3: it is? You have to change your approach? Is that
- 2:21:28Speaker 3: what it is? You got to go to a handlebar.
- 2:21:30Speaker 3: We went there before. I got to tell you.
- 2:21:32Speaker 2: I feel like a chaperone in there.
- 2:21:34Speaker 3: Do you really? Yeah?
- 2:21:35Speaker 2: I mean it's it's an interesting mix of people in there.
- 2:21:38Speaker 2: It's a younger crowd, a lot of younger people there.
- 2:21:41Speaker 5: Well good you should be you know, go up there
- 2:21:42Speaker 5: and feel young, have an old fashion.
- 2:21:44Speaker 3: They do a great job. I think you have an
- 2:21:46Speaker 3: old fashion. It's quite funny. But when he goes to
- 2:21:50Speaker 3: hang out with a young crowd, I don't think he
- 2:21:52Speaker 3: feels young. He is actually feeling they.
- 2:21:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm bringing the uh, I'm bringing the crowd up.
- 2:21:58Speaker 3: That's when I'm doing that.
- 2:21:59Speaker 2: I'm making from my wife. They had called the cops
- 2:22:03Speaker 2: on me. I'm sure. Let's do yarn ear first.
- 2:22:07Speaker 1: Great time for you heard it here first on the
- 2:22:11Speaker 1: Jim Colbert Show.
- 2:22:12Speaker 3: All Right.
- 2:22:12Speaker 5: The death toll from Hurricane Melissa continues to rise. Reports
- 2:22:15Speaker 5: say at least fifty people are dead after the storm
- 2:22:19Speaker 5: left a trail of destruction across the Caribbean, including Jamaica, Haiti, Cuba,
- 2:22:23Speaker 5: and the Dominican Republic. Melissa made landfall as a Category five,
- 2:22:27Speaker 5: even though they're saying it was. Its intensity was beyond
- 2:22:31Speaker 5: a category five in southwest Jamaica on Tuesday and moved
- 2:22:34Speaker 5: slowly from there. The storm brought torrential rain, damaging winds,
- 2:22:38Speaker 5: left hundreds of thousands without power, and destroyed homes. It's
- 2:22:42Speaker 5: estimated to have caused up to this many dollars in
- 2:22:45Speaker 5: damages according to recent projections. So what do you think
- 2:22:49Speaker 5: that Hurricane Melissa's estimated to have caused up to this
- 2:22:53Speaker 5: amount of damages?
- 2:22:54Speaker 2: Sixty billion? Oh you didn't flinch. I'm going to go
- 2:23:01Speaker 2: forty billion.
- 2:23:02Speaker 5: Fifty two billion. Split the difference, gentlemen, Florida's Attorney general
- 2:23:07Speaker 5: assuming Democrat led states over their issuance of a commercial
- 2:23:10Speaker 5: driver's license to an illegal immigrant. James uth Meyer says
- 2:23:14Speaker 5: the lawsuit is aimed at making sure people like truck
- 2:23:16Speaker 5: driver Harjingers Sing don't wind up killing Floridians on the
- 2:23:20Speaker 5: road again.
- 2:23:21Speaker 11: States like California, they didn't just carelessly give out licenses
- 2:23:27Speaker 11: to these illegal aliens that were not competent sufficiently to
- 2:23:31Speaker 11: get them. They encouraged it, they promoted it. It was
- 2:23:33Speaker 11: a way of life for them.
- 2:23:35Speaker 5: Washington is the other state that gave a CDL to Sing,
- 2:23:38Speaker 5: who the Attorney General says, failed ten commercial driving exams.
- 2:23:43Speaker 3: Oh many ten commercial.
- 2:23:46Speaker 5: Driving exams, and could not proficiently read or speak English.
- 2:23:50Speaker 5: He was driving a semi back in August when he
- 2:23:53Speaker 5: made an illegal U turn resulting in the deaths of
- 2:23:56Speaker 5: three people. The suit goes directly to the US Supreme Court,
- 2:24:00Speaker 5: but it'll be up to the justices as to whether
- 2:24:02Speaker 5: or not they take it up. And then, finally, a
- 2:24:04Speaker 5: new survey suggests this amount of Americans believe in ghosts.
- 2:24:08Speaker 5: So the ug of survey conducted earlier this month, pulled
- 2:24:11Speaker 5: about eleven hundred US adults and asked them about their
- 2:24:14Speaker 5: belief in the supernatural. This percent said, yeah, they believe
- 2:24:18Speaker 5: in ghosts.
- 2:24:20Speaker 2: I think it's maybe more than you believe. Okay, you
- 2:24:24Speaker 2: go first.
- 2:24:25Speaker 3: I will say forty percent. That sucks. That's why I
- 2:24:30Speaker 3: never let him go in first. What you're going to
- 2:24:33Speaker 3: say pretty.
- 2:24:34Speaker 2: Darn close what I was gonna say?
- 2:24:36Speaker 5: Are you gonna sean?
- 2:24:37Speaker 3: I am?
- 2:24:38Speaker 2: I'm going to go sixty five percent. I'm gonna take
- 2:24:40Speaker 2: a little job off. I wish you lat Yeah, I
- 2:24:44Speaker 2: will sixty five.
- 2:24:45Speaker 3: I gotta stick with it, all right.
- 2:24:46Speaker 5: It's thirty eight percent, Good job, Jack, thirty eight percent
- 2:24:49Speaker 5: believing ghosts.
- 2:24:50Speaker 2: Well, I'll reluc didn't take this one out of three people.
- 2:24:53Speaker 3: Isn't that that? I'm almost one out of one third?
- 2:24:54Speaker 5: And about forty three percent believed in demons.
- 2:24:59Speaker 2: Damn Really, it's a while.
- 2:25:00Speaker 5: Only six percent profess to belief in were wolves and vampires.
- 2:25:04Speaker 3: Somewhere if people demons and ghosts.
- 2:25:07Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, exactly, that makes sense. Though I have a
- 2:25:09Speaker 5: feeling there's a lot of Catholics. Yes, they asked in
- 2:25:11Speaker 5: the sure either way you heard it here first, I'm
