- 0:03Here's your host, Alex Garrett. Well, yesterday, December fifth, twenty
- 0:12twenty three was one of the most divine made days I think I've had in
- 0:19a while. I hadn't felt that as amazing like that since I actually proposed
- 0:26to Gabby in front of my mom. That's how powerful yesterday was. Can
- 0:31I tell you why well as you know or you listen to AM nine seventy
- 0:35the answer. I've been covering the Joe Piscobo Show as a producer for Joe
- 0:41Sibilia, who is recovering from some health stuff. And I think Joe,
- 0:49Joe and Al and Jerry Crowley and Sambollino for letting me just be with the
- 0:55guys in the morning and help them produces from what I can the morning show
- 1:02with a lot of help from Joe Sabilia as well. Thank you, Joe.
- 1:06But to get there from Port Washington, I have two hot choices.
- 1:11Either I take a three forty two in the morning train from Port Wash itself,
- 1:15or I take a four to twenty train from Mineola into the city in
- 1:22the morning. Or I can uber but uber we know and lift as we
- 1:26know can be fifty to sixty dollars per ride into the city in the morning
- 1:30even and I'm not about that. I want to do as much as I
- 1:33can to cost cut in the middle of this inflationary period, you know.
- 1:40So yesterday I tried to get a car for Port Washington that didn't work.
- 1:47The car in the early morning takes about ten to fifteen even twenty minutes to
- 1:52arrive because they picked like the farthest driver. But this driver yesterday was special.
- 1:57You know why, this yesterday was able to get me from Port Washington
- 2:05to Mineola twenty five minute difference with the train coming at four twenty three there
- 2:10for twenty three And how I believe God was in the works with that,
- 2:17because every green light possible was lit for our ride over. There very few
- 2:24stops of the red light. And it really moved me because how often do
- 2:31you get a car ride or any kind of ride with every green light.
- 2:37That's almost a divine miracle when it happens, isn't it. So then that
- 2:42happened. But here's the other story about yesterday morning's travel into the city.
- 2:47I did leave the back car door open because I had a run, literally
- 2:53run and roll to the train which had just closed up. But someone had
- 2:59seeing me on the platform obviously and opened the door for me one of the
- 3:05conductors. And that's when I knew this was a godly trip. On December
- 3:09fifth, twenty twenty three, when someone saw me on the platform just saying
- 3:15there the doors were closed. To reopen like that felt like a miracle because,
- 3:20as I said on my Facebook post, I said this, which got
- 3:23a lot of traction. By the way, instinct told me to book the
- 3:29car to Mineola's for twenty three Gabriella got me up early, and would you
- 3:32believe it, the lift driver skillfully hit every green light and made every turn
- 3:37possible. Instead of being on a platform wondering to do next, I was
- 3:40on the train into the city. The conductor must have seen me because he
- 3:45reopened the doors at Mineola. God exists and good people exist. And to
- 3:54those that made yesterday's trip into the city possible by just opening your eyes and
- 4:01being skillful in what you do, thank you. That meant the world,
- 4:05I think, even beyond what you know, because sometimes when you're on the
- 4:11platform you don't feel seen. Often sometimes I find myself literally having to stop
- 4:18the cart of the train doors or subway doors with my crutch just to get
- 4:21on but yesterday was a moment of being seen, and I think God created
- 4:28that moment, and I thank God for that. But then the whole day
- 4:31you just felt very very good. I mean, we ended up getting a
- 4:34bunch of bagels and croissants and everything from the holiday breakfast at our work building,
- 4:41all because I asked, can I think a few upstairs? They gave
- 4:43me a whole tray for the office. That was blessing number number two.
- 4:49Then the third thing was I stopped by to see my mom and my stepdad
- 4:54Vic. You know, I live in Port wash so I go home to
- 4:57Queen's every now and then to see them and pick up some things that might
- 5:00still be the house. And I not only saw him, but we got
- 5:04to talk to a family friend who was going through a loss. And so
- 5:13to be there in that moment when our family friend called us to talk to
- 5:16us, that also felt like a really divine intervention, and divine, divinely
- 5:23created a moment. And so I believe every day God exists, but I
- 5:32think there are certain days that he just shows that you for sure he does.
- 5:38And yesterday, December fifth, twenty twenty three, was certainly a day.
- 5:43Thanks be to God and then I got to hold Gaby tight on the
- 5:47way home, you know, and when I got home last night, and
- 5:51it really felt like just a really powerful day spiritually, emotionally and physically.
- 5:58When you make the trains have a lift driver that makes every light, how
- 6:02often does that happen, especially at three or four in the morning. So
- 6:10thanks be to God, Thanks be to those that are skillfully working to get
- 6:14us safely to and from. And as I said before, if you have
- 6:17issues with the way, if the trains will managed, or even lift or
- 6:20uber are managed, don't take it out on the drivers unless they're really awful.
- 6:26Take them out on management, right, the people at the top.
- 6:30Don't take it out on that innocent ticket collector that just wants to do their
- 6:34job for you, to get you back, to get you safe and to
- 6:44make sure you pay your fare. But the all the main goal of the
- 6:50trains is obviously to get you to and from and those conductors are so skilled
- 6:56and they do it magnificillenion, whoever saw me on the platform, thank you
- 7:01yesterday morning, Thank you, and thanks be to God. Now I don't
- 7:09often do this, but I'm kind of one new experiment here. I'm gonna
- 7:14drop my Venmo link and if you want to feel compelled to donate just a
- 7:17little bit. I'm not asking for a lot, but whatever, because you
- 7:20like the programming of the Alex Garrett podcast Network, let me know. I'm
- 7:25gonna drop the link right now in the description below, and it's gonna be
- 7:30a test to see if anybody actually donates, and if you do, I
- 7:32will say thank you so much. But the truth is, the truth is
- 7:43I'm only getting about ten bucks a month from this podcast, and that's a
- 7:50little love that I like. The listeners are there, but something feels like
- 7:56I gotta try something else, try something new. I only asking for donations
- 8:03is the worst thing in the world. And if I put up a page
- 8:07of precription, I would never do that though, but I would put up
- 8:11a link to say, hey, if you like the work, feel free
- 8:15to donate just because speakers. Monetization is great, but we are not at
- 8:26the level that you know the paychecks are flying in. I hope to be
- 8:30there one day, I really do. But until then, if you want
