- 0:06Speaker 1: Hello everybody, and welcome to another edition of Cardinal Territory.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Jim Hayes and the Boys are back alongside Kyle Gibson
- 0:15Speaker 1: and Lance Lynn and Kyle. This is a time where
- 0:18Speaker 1: we pitch for subscribers. So I'm gonna ask you to
- 0:21Speaker 1: do the honors.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I think, Jim, we've asked for subscribers.
- 0:27Speaker 2: It's your I think it's your favorite thing to do.
- 0:29Speaker 2: You do it first thing. You don't even wait for
- 0:30Speaker 2: us to have a good show and then ask for subscribers.
- 0:32Speaker 2: You like, hey, you just go subscribe now. But you know, Jim,
- 0:37Speaker 2: I think we've been missing a key part, and that's
- 0:39Speaker 2: to share it with other people. And if you've got
- 0:41Speaker 2: a Cardinals fan or today we're going to talk some
- 0:43Speaker 2: MLB stuff, you know, maybe not just in Saint Louis.
- 0:46Speaker 2: So if you know somebody that likes some baseball talking,
- 0:49Speaker 2: needs an extra thirty minutes of ball talk in their life,
- 0:51Speaker 2: then share it with somebody and let's have some more
- 0:55Speaker 2: people listening. Jess, I think, what do we have to
- 0:58Speaker 2: do a disclaimer? We have to do a disclaimer that
- 1:01Speaker 2: you know, even though we don't have to meet the
- 1:03Speaker 2: FCC regulations, we do have some words that need to
- 1:06Speaker 2: be bleeped if you want to censor yourself, because we
- 1:09Speaker 2: all know Lance is not going to censor himself, So
- 1:12Speaker 2: if you need to censor it for younger ears, then
- 1:14Speaker 2: just be aware. I'd say, is PG thirteen you know
- 1:18Speaker 2: at least one to two cuss words per per episode?
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:22Speaker 1: I checked, I think the chats. I checked the stats.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Lance is averaging two point three cuss words per episode,
- 1:29Speaker 1: which isn't bad.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Shoot, I hear more PG movies with that many customers
- 1:33Speaker 2: in it these days. You know, they just they let
- 1:35Speaker 2: our kids listen to everything now, so.
- 1:38Speaker 3: They're always moving the barkive.
- 1:40Speaker 4: It's the field goal poster moving constantly. Boys.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Let's start with the Cardinals here in Pittsburgh for four games.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Just came off a weekend set with the Mariners, who
- 1:52Speaker 1: are a really good team but weren't playing good and
- 1:55Speaker 1: they swept the Cardinals all close games. But I wanted
- 1:58Speaker 1: to ask you about a situation that happened Sunday. Jojo,
- 2:02Speaker 1: who's been lights out, thinks he has Rob Refsnyder, the
- 2:08Speaker 1: pinch hitter, struck out tie game ninth inning, strike three,
- 2:14Speaker 1: tap of the helmet right challenge and uh, it's overturned
- 2:19Speaker 1: and it's a ball ref Snider has another life kaboom
- 2:23Speaker 1: home run four hundred and twelve feet and the Mariners
- 2:27Speaker 1: go on to win. So my question, And by the way,
- 2:30Speaker 1: John Bacon was a homeplate umpire had eight over overturned
- 2:35Speaker 1: calls eight eight. He wasn't good. But you're the pitcher,
- 2:39Speaker 1: you're Jojo. I'm gonna start with you Lance. You're on
- 2:42Speaker 1: the mound. You guys didn't have to deal with this
- 2:43Speaker 1: because there was no abs. So you're on the mound
- 2:47Speaker 1: and you got the pinch hitter. Okay, sigh of relief.
- 2:50Speaker 1: You're gonna close out the top of the ninth, keep
- 2:53Speaker 1: it a tie game and give your team a chance
- 2:55Speaker 1: to win. All of a sudden, you did not strike
- 2:59Speaker 1: out the pen. Don't you have to reset? And how
- 3:02Speaker 1: down much of a challenge.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Can that be?
- 3:05Speaker 4: Well?
- 3:05Speaker 5: Obviously, yeah, I mean you're looking at you celebrate or whatever.
- 3:09Speaker 5: You think you're out of it, and then you're gonna
- 3:10Speaker 5: have to reset after this. I think it's it's unfortunately,
- 3:14Speaker 5: it's it's part of the game. Because you're you're celebrating,
- 3:18Speaker 5: you think it's done, and then it's you know, it's challenged.
- 3:21Speaker 5: And here's the thing, though, It's like it goes both ways, right.
- 3:25Speaker 3: There could be a hitter that thinks you.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Walked and walked in the winning run and then you
- 3:30Speaker 5: challenge it and you it's a strike and you struck
- 3:33Speaker 5: them out in the game or something like that. So
- 3:35Speaker 5: it's gonna come both ways eventually. At some point, this
- 3:38Speaker 5: one hurts and stings because of how it affected the
- 3:41Speaker 5: game in that area, But if you look at it
- 3:44Speaker 5: and in another way, they got the call right, and
- 3:47Speaker 5: then the players finished the game on the field. Now
- 3:50Speaker 5: it's going to be the pitcher where the hitter reconvening
- 3:53Speaker 5: and resetting their mindset to finish the at bat after
- 3:56Speaker 5: the challenge is overturned, or what it might be moving forward.
- 3:59Speaker 5: So I think it's a learning experience for everyone around
- 4:02Speaker 5: the league, especially for Jojo. It sucks because it happened,
- 4:06Speaker 5: but it also when you look at the game, right,
- 4:08Speaker 5: the pitch was a ball, he got to finish his
- 4:12Speaker 5: at bat, and then he hit a home run.
- 4:13Speaker 3: So if you look at the way it works, it's like.
- 4:16Speaker 5: Man, what a what A What's something that you know
- 4:18Speaker 5: we've never seen before, But everything was correctly called.
- 4:22Speaker 3: It just takes the pitcher and the hitter to regroup
- 4:25Speaker 3: and do.
- 4:25Speaker 5: The things that they needed to do to be you know,
- 4:28Speaker 5: have a positive outcome for themselves or a negative for
- 4:31Speaker 5: the other guys.
- 4:31Speaker 3: So I think.
- 4:33Speaker 5: It it feels like it sucks, but the game got
- 4:36Speaker 5: it right in a sense. So it's a weird one,
- 4:38Speaker 5: and I'm just going off of what I've dealt with
- 4:40Speaker 5: in my career. I remember, you no doubt thought you
- 4:44Speaker 5: struck someone out, they balled it, and then you give
- 4:46Speaker 5: up a hit the next time. That's when you get tossed.
- 4:49Speaker 5: So that's a totally different thing than this. But that
- 4:54Speaker 5: that was the worst feeling than I think this one,
- 4:56Speaker 5: because it's like, man, it was a ball and then
- 4:58Speaker 5: I didn't execute my next pitch where I wanted to,
- 5:02Speaker 5: and I got to be where before was Hey, I
- 5:03Speaker 5: executed the pitch that Empire screwed me. And then uh
- 5:08Speaker 5: and then I you know, I gave it up the
- 5:09Speaker 5: next pitch because I, you know, whatever, But you always
- 5:11Speaker 5: got to readjust and do stuff like that.
- 5:12Speaker 3: But obviously umpires get them wrong. But he got they
- 5:16Speaker 3: got it. You know, the challenge got it right.
- 5:18Speaker 5: And then you know, the players finished the game on
- 5:21Speaker 5: the field the way it was supposed to.
- 5:22Speaker 3: It just didn't go the Cardinals way.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I'm kind of disappointed because I thought that gave you
- 5:28Speaker 1: really a wide path for our first expletive of the
- 5:32Speaker 1: of the show, because you're almost unt.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Up the home play Empire. That's why.
- 5:43Speaker 5: But that's also why we love the challenge system now, right,
- 5:45Speaker 5: these guys are being held accountable in a real time
- 5:48Speaker 5: and that's the beauty of this game now is there.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Before it was like, oh, there's a buffer.
- 5:54Speaker 5: Zone and no one saw it. No one even knew
- 5:56Speaker 5: what the buffer zone was. They would have a grade
- 5:58Speaker 5: scale or whatever, and then they would throw out whatever
- 6:00Speaker 5: they miss and then they'd tell them they'd have ninety
- 6:02Speaker 5: seven percent. But it's like, hey, he missed, like, he
- 6:05Speaker 5: missed that many, so he needs to clean it up.
- 6:08Speaker 3: And now the whole world.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Knows that he needs to clean it up, and that's
- 6:11Speaker 5: what it's all about. So it just probably is just
- 6:13Speaker 5: that you missed that many. But the challenge system helps
- 6:17Speaker 5: get it right. It just kind of sucks the way
- 6:19Speaker 5: it went down.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Oh shoot, you're right, Lance, I just.
- 6:26Speaker 4: What are your what are.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Yours on the topic?
- 6:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I think to me, these situations here
- 6:35Speaker 2: are going to be really good for catchers and pitching
- 6:40Speaker 2: coaches to figure out if their guy needs a meeting
- 6:43Speaker 2: or not. Jojo is, I didn't see the reaction. I
- 6:48Speaker 2: can remember from certain instances when he gets out of
- 6:52Speaker 2: a big spot, any reliever gets out of a big spot.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Heck I did it to Lance did it two? You
- 6:57Speaker 2: feel like you get out.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Of the spot.
- 6:58Speaker 2: There's a massive adrenaline and then it can be a
- 7:01Speaker 2: huge letdown if you realize you didn't fifteen seconds later.
- 7:05Speaker 2: So I kind of wonder if in certain instances, this
- 7:08Speaker 2: is a spot where a catcher says, Hey, time out.
- 7:11Speaker 2: I'm gonna go talk to my guy here. We're gonna
- 7:13Speaker 2: get locked back in and we're going to make sure
- 7:15Speaker 2: we have the pitch we want. We're not going to
- 7:17Speaker 2: make any emotional decisions here. We're gonna let this moment
- 7:19Speaker 2: pass and we're gonna get on to the next one.
- 7:23Speaker 2: When it comes to John Bacon and missing calls, I
- 7:26Speaker 2: think we all know these umpires are human. I think
- 7:29Speaker 2: the challenge system allows them to be human, but also
- 7:32Speaker 2: allows them to yes, have accountability, but also feel like
- 7:37Speaker 2: they're not the one, you know, blowing the game. You know,
- 7:41Speaker 2: we had the great moment in one of the first
- 7:43Speaker 2: weekend series where the umpire and I can't remember the
- 7:45Speaker 2: hitter from the Dominican I believe they matched up at
- 7:50Speaker 2: home played after the umpire made a bad call on
- 7:52Speaker 2: wbc'd in the game, they got a chance to say, hey,
- 7:55Speaker 2: my bad.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Right.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I think this is a real time instance where a
- 7:58Speaker 2: hitter in an umpire can go through and say, hey,
- 8:01Speaker 2: you know what I missed out. I'm glad you had
- 8:03Speaker 2: a challenge. You got it right, we all got it right.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Now let's move on, because umpires don't want to be
- 8:08Speaker 2: the reason why the game's messed up. The hitters want
- 8:10Speaker 2: to play the game, and they want to be the reason.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Like Lan said, you know, the players want to be
- 8:14Speaker 2: the reason why the game goes away, goes.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Very well reasoned responses from you, gentlemen. And still we're
- 8:22Speaker 1: into the show and we haven't had a curse. All right,
- 8:24Speaker 1: Let's talk about the Buckos real quick, all right. They
- 8:27Speaker 1: got off to a red hot start last ten, five
- 8:30Speaker 1: and five. I think they've come down to earth a
- 8:32Speaker 1: little bit. The Cardinals have four against them. Look, every
- 8:36Speaker 1: team in the NL Central as we sit today is
- 8:38Speaker 1: above five hundred, which is kind of cool, and this
- 8:40Speaker 1: will be the first team from the Central that the
- 8:44Speaker 1: Cardinals are meeting up with. But Lance, your thoughts on
- 8:47Speaker 1: what the Pirates are doing right now? It seems really
- 8:50Speaker 1: good pitching and the hitting, which I think eventually be exposed,
- 8:54Speaker 1: has been there a little bit too. Just to your
- 8:56Speaker 1: thoughts on what the Cardinals are up against in this.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Series, Yeah, I mean, I think the way they've they've
- 9:02Speaker 5: built their team. They built their team around their pitching staff,
- 9:04Speaker 5: which you know, you can do that when you have
- 9:06Speaker 5: you know of schemes and guys that they have with
- 9:10Speaker 5: and their rotation, so you need some guys that can
- 9:13Speaker 5: drive the ball.
- 9:14Speaker 3: They they went out and got those guys in Azuna
- 9:16Speaker 3: and uh was O'Hearn.
- 9:19Speaker 5: So they've done a good job of kind of you know,
- 9:23Speaker 5: mid marketing or lower marketing putting a roster around that
- 9:27Speaker 5: should be able to you know, compete, especially if they're
- 9:30Speaker 5: pitching and they're does what it's supposed to do. So
- 9:34Speaker 5: to say that, are you surprised rather early start, No,
- 9:38Speaker 5: because early in the season, if you have pitching, you should,
- 9:42Speaker 5: you know, you should be in games because hitting is
- 9:43Speaker 5: gonna come as the as the year goes on and
- 9:45Speaker 5: the weather gets warmer, so they've kind of done what
- 9:48Speaker 5: they were supposed to kind of like the Cardinals have
- 9:50Speaker 5: done what they're supposed to do. They they've they've scratched
- 9:52Speaker 5: out wins when they're supposed to against teams, and they've
- 9:55Speaker 5: played close games and they've won those because their pitching
- 9:57Speaker 5: can hold up.
- 9:58Speaker 3: And then you know their defense is good too.
- 10:00Speaker 5: So I think you're looking at it a very similar
- 10:03Speaker 5: team and that it's just the Cardinals don't have the uh,
- 10:06Speaker 5: you know, the high end ace.
- 10:09Speaker 3: That you know Pittsburgh does.
- 10:11Speaker 5: But teams are I think based similarly or similarly with
- 10:15Speaker 5: the way they want to do.
- 10:16Speaker 3: They want to.
- 10:16Speaker 5: Pitch, play defense, and then you know, try to e
- 10:18Speaker 5: score some runs when they can here and there, and
- 10:20Speaker 5: you know, they have a little bit more money in
- 10:22Speaker 5: their payroll with what they've done in the offseason. But
- 10:24Speaker 5: you know, those guys are also on different sides of
- 10:27Speaker 5: their career than some of these young guys with the
- 10:29Speaker 5: Cardinals that are trying to establish themselves. So I think
- 10:31Speaker 5: you're looking at teams that are are I figured out
- 10:34Speaker 5: that they don't have to spend a whole lot of
- 10:36Speaker 5: money to compete as long as they can pitch and
- 10:37Speaker 5: play defense, and it should be a fun little series
- 10:40Speaker 5: back and forth, and it's always, you know, a tough
- 10:42Speaker 5: place to play, and it should be an interesting series.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Fourth best era in baseball the Pirates right now. Schemes
- 10:50Speaker 1: will go by the way in the finale of the
- 10:53Speaker 1: Cardinals series. But they are a little different, Kyle Pittsburgh
- 10:56Speaker 1: because unlike the Cardinals, and we've been talking about it
- 10:59Speaker 1: the whole we thought they might go out and get
- 11:02Speaker 1: a veteran bat or two, and they didn't. And the
- 11:05Speaker 1: Pirates went and got guys, as Lynch rightfully says, you know,
- 11:08Speaker 1: on the other side of it in terms of their career.
- 11:11Speaker 1: But different they made it. They're handling it a little
- 11:14Speaker 1: different this reset. The Buckoes are Yeah.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I mean I think they they chose to allow their
- 11:24Speaker 2: pitching to kind of lead the discussion here, which I
- 11:27Speaker 2: think is a great way to do it. They have
- 11:31Speaker 2: four they have five starters who are throwing the ball. Well,
- 11:33Speaker 2: Chandler's not towing the ball as well, but it's so early,
- 11:35Speaker 2: so one or two stars to consue that. But they've
- 11:37Speaker 2: got four other starters with an ERA under three and
- 11:40Speaker 2: a half. I think just from what I looked up,
- 11:42Speaker 2: and they added a couple guys that make it really interesting.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Brandon Law really big track record of hitting for power
- 11:50Speaker 2: and playing good second base, and Ryan O'Hearn hitting for power,
- 11:54Speaker 2: can play outfield, first base and move around. Those two guys,
- 11:58Speaker 2: I believe it made a huge difference to this team.
- 12:00Speaker 2: And when I'm looking through here, O'Hearn still has a
- 12:03Speaker 2: NOPs nearly nine hundred. You know, Brandon Lowes ops is
- 12:08Speaker 2: eight sixty seven. Those two guys that they brought in
- 12:11Speaker 2: have really worked out. And when you're going to bring
- 12:14Speaker 2: in guys and sign, whether it's trade or free agency,
- 12:17Speaker 2: when they don't work out, it's a glaring hole that
- 12:20Speaker 2: you have because you plan on those guys, you know,
- 12:22Speaker 2: really adding a lot to your team. When they do
- 12:25Speaker 2: work out, it's a very big difference in what your
- 12:27Speaker 2: team does because you base your team around it. So
- 12:30Speaker 2: those guys I think have obviously made a huge difference.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Griffin's going to get going. Everything we've heard about him,
- 12:35Speaker 2: he's a great player. He's going to get going. Just
- 12:37Speaker 2: hit his first time run. So yeah, I mean, I
- 12:39Speaker 2: think it's it's an interesting series against a team that
- 12:45Speaker 2: I would say with the Pirates, They're pitching is going
- 12:47Speaker 2: to be consistent all year, so whatever their offense does
- 12:50Speaker 2: is really probably going to dictate the season. I would say,
- 12:54Speaker 2: if I'm looking at these two teams, you got the
- 12:56Speaker 2: Pirates who are maybe a year ahead of the Cardinals
- 12:58Speaker 2: in their rebuild where they want to be. Maybe Cardinals
- 13:02Speaker 2: fans don't want to hear that, but I would say
- 13:04Speaker 2: that's probably where they're at with the pitching they have,
- 13:06Speaker 2: and then they went and added the hitters, whereas our
- 13:09Speaker 2: Cardinals are trying to figure out, Hey, which of these
- 13:11Speaker 2: guys do we need to leave here for the next
- 13:13Speaker 2: few years and then you know, next year, do we
- 13:16Speaker 2: add these couple of guys like the Pirates did.
- 13:18Speaker 1: You're watching Cardinal Territory on the Foul Territory Network. Quick
- 13:22Speaker 1: break Here we'll have more Cardinals talk. On the other side.

- 14:26Speaker 1: Okay, gentlemen, one more thing about the other privates. Paul Schemes,
- 14:30Speaker 1: like you guys are former pitchers, your fans of the
- 14:32Speaker 1: art of pitching lance.
- 14:34Speaker 4: Is he one of the.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Guys that you would pay money to go watch pitch?
- 14:38Speaker 4: Tell me about?
- 14:39Speaker 1: Well, what you feel about what Paul Schemes has been
- 14:42Speaker 1: able to do. By the way, two point three to
- 14:45Speaker 1: ninety are against the cards. But I think he's zero
- 14:47Speaker 1: to four, so the Cardinals have gotten to him a
- 14:51Speaker 1: little bit. But just your thoughts on that guy.
- 14:54Speaker 3: I mean, I don't pay to watch anyone pitch.
- 14:56Speaker 5: I got a gold card that gets me two seats
- 14:58Speaker 5: wherever I want.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Not that.
- 15:02Speaker 5: No, the answer is no, I wouldn't pay to watch
- 15:05Speaker 5: anyone pitch because I don't have to. But in all
- 15:08Speaker 5: joking aside, like like when I was growing up, like
- 15:15Speaker 5: I used to love Clemen's shilling, like Becket, like watching
- 15:19Speaker 5: those uh, those guys go pitch and you know they're
- 15:22Speaker 5: gonna be out there for you know, seven innings, and
- 15:25Speaker 5: you know you're gonna see the the art of it.
- 15:27Speaker 5: You got to get through a lineup, you see the
- 15:28Speaker 5: overpowering early and then you got to go back and forth.
- 15:31Speaker 5: His ability to have the uh you know, the huntermount
- 15:34Speaker 5: hour fastball and stuff like that. It's not elite metrically,
- 15:37Speaker 5: but it's elite velocity wise, but he's able to do
- 15:40Speaker 5: so many things off of it, and you know he's
- 15:43Speaker 5: for you know, you see guys like this and you're like,
- 15:45Speaker 5: eventually the the velo will come down in your career,
- 15:49Speaker 5: which is just part of it, but everything else that he.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Has around it. Uh Is.
- 15:55Speaker 5: It's fascinating to me because I think he's a guy
- 15:57Speaker 5: that's gonna last a really long time even when it
- 16:00Speaker 5: VLO comes down, because of all of his other you know,
- 16:03Speaker 5: pitches in the way that he's able to use him
- 16:05Speaker 5: and and tunnel them and all the things that all
- 16:08Speaker 5: the things that you want guys to do, he's able
- 16:11Speaker 5: to do all of them.
- 16:12Speaker 3: So that's the beauty of what he's got.
- 16:13Speaker 5: And that's why he's was a number one pick, and
- 16:15Speaker 5: that's why he's you know, every year in the cy
- 16:18Speaker 5: young and from the get go when he showed up
- 16:20Speaker 5: in the league, so very you know, special talent advanced
- 16:25Speaker 5: beyond his years when he first showed up. And you know,
- 16:27Speaker 5: you you you get very few of those guys that
- 16:30Speaker 5: can do it all like he can do. And that's
- 16:32Speaker 5: why I think he's gonna have a really long career
- 16:34Speaker 5: no matter if the velocity comes down as he gets older.
- 16:38Speaker 1: You're awesome, by the way. You don't you don't pay
- 16:40Speaker 1: to see pitching. If you had to, Kyle, if you
- 16:44Speaker 1: had to say they took away your gold card, say
- 16:47Speaker 1: they they love the computer was down and they couldn't
- 16:50Speaker 1: find you in their in their database. Is he one
- 16:54Speaker 1: of those guys who're like, I want to see this
- 16:56Speaker 1: guy pitch? So I'm going to open up my wallet.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Hey listen, ye, would you take your son to watching pitch? Yes?
- 17:04Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, what a great question, Lance, great question.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Yes, I would take my son to watch him pitch.
- 17:11Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, I agree. You know, I think he's somebody.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Just like Lance said, there's not really much to add
- 17:18Speaker 2: other than yes, I would do the same. You know,
- 17:23Speaker 2: I feel like it's an interesting day and age here
- 17:27Speaker 2: of you know, does this person put butts in the seats?
- 17:31Speaker 2: Or you know, can this player put butts in the seats?
- 17:35Speaker 2: Baseball is just a little different sport when it comes
- 17:38Speaker 2: to that. If there is a player that can, I
- 17:39Speaker 2: do think it's a starting pitcher that can. Because you're
- 17:43Speaker 2: there for a show, you know. I think if you
- 17:45Speaker 2: had to ask people, do you want to go watch
- 17:47Speaker 2: Otani d H or do you want to go watch
- 17:49Speaker 2: O Tony pitch in DH?
- 17:51Speaker 4: Yes? Yes, I want to say pitch.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Right, you know, Jim, you can use your Media Gold
- 17:56Speaker 2: card and go watch Otani pitch.
- 17:58Speaker 4: That'd be great for the price one there, that's right.
- 18:05Speaker 2: So yeah, I think taking taking my son to watch
- 18:08Speaker 2: him pitch would be something that would be a lot
- 18:10Speaker 2: of fun.
- 18:12Speaker 1: So the Cardinals right now are in a stretch of
- 18:14Speaker 1: seventeen games in seventeen days, right and uh, they tax
- 18:19Speaker 1: their bullpen against so yet again Seattle has a really
- 18:22Speaker 1: good lineup. So, Lance, is this the point in the
- 18:25Speaker 1: season where we're gonna see what the Cardinals really are?
- 18:29Speaker 5: In your opinion, I think when you're gonna obviously, whenever
- 18:33Speaker 5: you get it through a long stretch, when you've had
- 18:35Speaker 5: a lot of off days early in the year and
- 18:37Speaker 5: your starters haven't quite established that six inning at least
- 18:42Speaker 5: getting through six inning, you know, at least four out
- 18:45Speaker 5: of five, Yeah, you can get it can be a
- 18:47Speaker 5: tough stretch, you know, the car they're gonna have to
- 18:50Speaker 5: it's gonna be interesting in what they do during this
- 18:52Speaker 5: because they've been Indians, hasn't really been a you know,
- 18:56Speaker 5: they haven't been going six as starters for the most part.
- 18:59Speaker 5: Are they gonna try to make those guys go six
- 19:01Speaker 5: so they back off the bullpen a little bit at
- 19:04Speaker 5: least one extra ending of you know, being saved a night,
- 19:07Speaker 5: or are they gonna go a six man starter at
- 19:10Speaker 5: one point during this stretch just because of what they've
- 19:12Speaker 5: got going or are they gonna do it twice? So
- 19:15Speaker 5: be interesting what this stretch looks like on the pitching sidewise,
- 19:18Speaker 5: because they're gonna have to protect the bullpen a little bit.
- 19:20Speaker 5: They're gonna have to bring some arms in and navigate this.
- 19:24Speaker 5: But yeah, this is the first real test of the
- 19:27Speaker 5: season in a sense of good teams and a lot
- 19:31Speaker 5: of games in a row. So when we come out
- 19:34Speaker 5: of this seventeen games, if you look at them being
- 19:37Speaker 5: five hundred, I think that's a really good stretch of
- 19:40Speaker 5: seventeen or as close as they can be a five
- 19:42Speaker 5: hundred and that that would be huge for them. And obviously,
- 19:46Speaker 5: you know, the sweep starting out of the gate puts
- 19:48Speaker 5: them behind that eight ball. But if they get there
- 19:50Speaker 5: at you know what, eight to nine through the seventeen
- 19:53Speaker 5: game stretch, I think that's a really good seventeen game stretch.
- 19:55Speaker 5: And then when you get your off days and do
- 19:57Speaker 5: those things, then that's when you try to win two
- 19:59Speaker 5: out of three. That's when you went, you know, five
- 20:01Speaker 5: out of you know, five out of seven type of things,
- 20:03Speaker 5: and you have your off day. These stretches like this,
- 20:06Speaker 5: you got to figure out how to be as close
- 20:07Speaker 5: to five hundred as you can and then not let
- 20:09Speaker 5: it carry over after this and figure out how there's
- 20:12Speaker 5: gonna be games when and Kyle and you've we've all
- 20:15Speaker 5: seen it where you just gotta you just got to
- 20:18Speaker 5: let the ass whooping happen and not not kill yourself
- 20:21Speaker 5: for the rest of the rest of the week in
- 20:24Speaker 5: seventeen games day.
- 20:26Speaker 3: So that's what.
- 20:27Speaker 5: So that's that's where I'm at right now. Let's say
- 20:29Speaker 5: there's gonna be a day where it's like, hey, somebody's
- 20:31Speaker 5: gonna have to take this lump for us and be
- 20:33Speaker 5: a team player and just so just so we kind
- 20:36Speaker 5: of regroup as a whole.
- 20:37Speaker 3: And do all that.
- 20:38Speaker 5: So I'm gonna I'm anxious to see how that looks
- 20:41Speaker 5: going forward here in this this stretch.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Point well taken, and I will say, all right, so
- 20:47Speaker 1: the Cardinals have said Hunter Dobbins will come up and
- 20:50Speaker 1: take the fourth game in Pitchburg to stretch that out.
- 20:53Speaker 1: But Kyle, if you're one of the starters, and like
- 20:55Speaker 1: for example, uh McGreevy threw close to one hundred pitches
- 21:00Speaker 1: on Sunday, he was really really good. But if you're
- 21:03Speaker 1: the starter and you know, taking the mound, I'm gonna
- 21:06Speaker 1: have to go deeper than I have to. How does
- 21:09Speaker 1: that impact you as a starter, knowing there's some pressure
- 21:12Speaker 1: because the bullpen is spent, and you know, usually you
- 21:16Speaker 1: might go five or six and think, okay, I did
- 21:18Speaker 1: my part.
- 21:19Speaker 3: That ain't today. How does that impact you?
- 21:22Speaker 4: Well? I think it can go both ways. You know.
- 21:24Speaker 2: I always loved it when you know a manager came
- 21:27Speaker 2: up and said, hey, by the way, this is your game.
- 21:29Speaker 2: You got a hundred to one hundred and ten pitches
- 21:31Speaker 2: no matter what, and you're just gonna throw them. Unless
- 21:34Speaker 2: you get forty or fifty and one inning, you're gonna
- 21:37Speaker 2: throw your hundred and ten pitches. I always like that.
- 21:41Speaker 2: You kind of know that there is no look into
- 21:43Speaker 2: the bullpen. You kind of know that this is my
- 21:45Speaker 2: jam to get out of. You kind of know that
- 21:47Speaker 2: if he's struggling in the first and second, all right,
- 21:49Speaker 2: you get it. Your catcher, Hey, how are we going
- 21:51Speaker 2: to make some adjustments here going forward? And I think,
- 21:55Speaker 2: like Lance said, there's a couple of these starts every
- 21:58Speaker 2: year more probably more than a couple, but each pitcher
- 22:01Speaker 2: has a couple of these starts every year, where if
- 22:04Speaker 2: you're quick to bail them out. I think it sometimes
- 22:08Speaker 2: can do a disservice to that player, not only the bullpen,
- 22:12Speaker 2: but to that player. I think it is really beneficial
- 22:15Speaker 2: for young guys to learn how to pitch when they
- 22:18Speaker 2: don't have their best stuff. The end of the game
- 22:21Speaker 2: might be ugly. You're going to have, you know, Brian
- 22:23Speaker 2: Bayo the other day gave up what eight or nine
- 22:25Speaker 2: or something. The end of the game might look really ugly.
- 22:29Speaker 2: But if you're able to find a few things here
- 22:32Speaker 2: and there, and you're able to find hey, maybe on
- 22:34Speaker 2: these days I go a little bit more change up.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Maybe on these.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Days I really focus on the cutter down and a
- 22:39Speaker 2: way to both sides. Those can be valuable lessons when
- 22:44Speaker 2: you are getting in a game and you've given up
- 22:45Speaker 2: two or three runs early and maybe now that really
- 22:49Speaker 2: bad start where you give up seven or eight early
- 22:51Speaker 2: in the year turns into three or four because you
- 22:53Speaker 2: kind of lean on some of those lessons you get.
- 22:55Speaker 2: But yeah, Lance is exactly right. Every now and then
- 22:58Speaker 2: the starter has to go out there and has to
- 23:02Speaker 2: throw your hundred pitches and see how far they can
- 23:04Speaker 2: take you, and then let the let the long guy
- 23:06Speaker 2: in the bullpen take over. But Cardinals are coming off
- 23:09Speaker 2: an off day, I think it's gonna be fine, so
- 23:13Speaker 2: or wait do they play tonight? They at fortnight, so
- 23:15Speaker 2: they're not coming coming on off day. But I think
- 23:18Speaker 2: it really only takes one or two good starts from
- 23:21Speaker 2: a starter to really give that bullpen a break, one
- 23:23Speaker 2: offensive outburst to give the back end of the bullpen,
- 23:26Speaker 2: the leverage guys a break, and those guys can reset
- 23:29Speaker 2: pretty good down there.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I don't know if you saw Levy's start the other day,
- 23:34Speaker 1: but balls were flying out of the ballpark, like.
- 23:38Speaker 3: On both sides.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I never saw Bush Stadium where there were so many
- 23:42Speaker 1: projectiles off of major league bats like and if you're
- 23:46Speaker 1: a laboratory, I think you went three in the third, right.
- 23:50Speaker 1: What goes through your mind was something like that, because,
- 23:52Speaker 1: as Kyle points out, you want to try to find something,
- 23:55Speaker 1: but I don't think anyone could have found anything on
- 23:58Speaker 1: that day because everything was.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, what truly goes to your mind? Fuck me,
- 24:04Speaker 3: nothing standing, That's what truly goes through your mind.
- 24:10Speaker 5: But during those games, I think I pitched a game
- 24:13Speaker 5: in Wrigley where there was eight home runs hit within
- 24:16Speaker 5: the first four innings. I think I gave up three
- 24:18Speaker 5: of them and would give up all five, and I'm
- 24:23Speaker 5: just sitting there, like, what are we got going on to?
- 24:25Speaker 5: I think I end up going six innings and getting
- 24:27Speaker 5: the win. But what you do is saying, all right,
- 24:30Speaker 5: both sides, it's going how am I going to outlast
- 24:33Speaker 5: the other guy? And how am I going to figure
- 24:35Speaker 5: out how to win the game? What can I change?
- 24:38Speaker 5: Do I feel my sinker more?
- 24:39Speaker 3: Do I? You know? Do I? You know what game plan?
- 24:42Speaker 5: Can you change? Balls flying out? I need to keep
- 24:44Speaker 5: the ball on the ground, I need to get rid
- 24:46Speaker 5: of the ball up in the zone.
- 24:48Speaker 3: Blah blah blah. I know what, like Kyle was talking about, is.
- 24:51Speaker 5: Those are the days where you have to find something
- 24:53Speaker 5: you have to have that just another card to play,
- 24:57Speaker 5: I guess is the easy way to say it where
- 25:00Speaker 5: you can get through and salvage something out of it,
- 25:04Speaker 5: and you look up and you say, hey, I give
- 25:07Speaker 5: up three early, or I gave up four early, but
- 25:09Speaker 5: I got through six, Or I give up three in
- 25:12Speaker 5: the first and I got through six and made a
- 25:13Speaker 5: quality start, like your feeling of those starts changes, or
- 25:18Speaker 5: it's like, oh I didn't get through the fourth and
- 25:20Speaker 5: I gave up seven, Like you have to change something,
- 25:24Speaker 5: find something like there's there's just little things you have
- 25:26Speaker 5: to do that are are different, and like like Kyle said,
- 25:31Speaker 5: it is, hey, I'm gonna use it.
- 25:32Speaker 3: I'm gonna go cut her heavy down in the way
- 25:34Speaker 3: here just.
- 25:35Speaker 5: To get them off something up in the zone and
- 25:37Speaker 5: then go back to it and then just you got
- 25:39Speaker 5: to do.
- 25:39Speaker 3: You got to mix a match, You got to try
- 25:41Speaker 3: something new.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Whatever you came out as your game plan, whatever your stuff,
- 25:44Speaker 5: you thought it was gonna be your hope, he's not there.
- 25:46Speaker 3: What are you going to do?
- 25:48Speaker 5: How can you get through with your c D stuff
- 25:51Speaker 5: and still be a quality outing or as close as
- 25:53Speaker 5: quality as you can. And that's when you have when
- 25:56Speaker 5: you go from being a four or a five to
- 25:58Speaker 5: being a two or three in the rotation. And when
- 26:02Speaker 5: you do that, that's also how you make a lot
- 26:04Speaker 5: of money. And I figured that out, so it worked
- 26:07Speaker 5: out for me.
- 26:08Speaker 4: Looks, those are the guts.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Those are the gut starts, all right, like the all
- 26:13Speaker 2: joking aside, Those are the gut guts. Those are the
- 26:16Speaker 2: gut starts. And what I learned, probably like second or
- 26:20Speaker 2: third year, was I was never gonna give away an
- 26:22Speaker 2: inning as.
- 26:23Speaker 4: A starting pitcher.
- 26:24Speaker 2: And I think I probably took some heat for that
- 26:26Speaker 2: later in my career, because.
- 26:28Speaker 4: You know, some of the numbers didn't look good.
- 26:30Speaker 2: But those those games where I gave up four or
- 26:32Speaker 2: five runs, I was getting to the fifth inning and
- 26:35Speaker 2: I wasn't.
- 26:36Speaker 4: I just wasn't gonna give away an inning.
- 26:37Speaker 2: You give up three early, you reset, and you sit
- 26:40Speaker 2: down and you change your game plan and you figure
- 26:41Speaker 2: out how you're gonna get through five innings because you're
- 26:44Speaker 2: gonna get to the end of the year, and when
- 26:46Speaker 2: you get to one hundred ninety innings, you're going to
- 26:48Speaker 2: look back at those five starts where you kind of
- 26:50Speaker 2: got your teeth kicked in a little bit, and you're
- 26:52Speaker 2: gonna look at those ten extra innings and say, that
- 26:55Speaker 2: is what got me to one hundred ninety innings right there,
- 26:58Speaker 2: And like Land said, that's how you become a durable
- 27:00Speaker 2: and your bullpen after those games comes up. You've probably
- 27:03Speaker 2: seen it in the locker room gym. A starter goes
- 27:05Speaker 2: five innings and gives up five but through his hundred pitches,
- 27:09Speaker 2: every one of those bullpen guys comes in and taps
- 27:11Speaker 2: him on the shoulder and says, hey, he just saved
- 27:13Speaker 2: our butt today, and everybody on the team appreciates it
- 27:16Speaker 2: because you realize that there's value in that. Nobody sees
- 27:19Speaker 2: value in it from the seats because you lost the
- 27:20Speaker 2: game and you stump, but everybody around around that team
- 27:23Speaker 2: knows that you might have.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Just saved the bullpen for the next four days.
- 27:27Speaker 3: You warned a little bit. There's nothing worse.
- 27:29Speaker 5: There's nothing worse than you being the reason some young
- 27:32Speaker 5: kid got sent down because he had to pick up
- 27:34Speaker 5: three fourse.
- 27:36Speaker 3: You sit down your leg that day. That's the worst
- 27:38Speaker 3: feeling in the world.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Interesting carnage in Boston. We're gonna get to that after
- 27:44Speaker 1: this short time out on Cardinal.
- 27:46Speaker 7: Territory, Todd Father, it's getting a little warm out. That
- 27:50Speaker 7: means let's hit some concerts, let's hit some baseball games.
- 27:53Speaker 7: And where am I going to go to find those tickets?
- 27:56Speaker 7: And if you want to sing the answer, you can
- 27:58Speaker 7: We're going to.
- 27:58Speaker 8: Seek Hey, listen. Ultimately, at the end of the day
- 28:02Speaker 8: it is getting warmer and people want to leave the
- 28:04Speaker 8: house and it's time to leave, go see a ball game.
- 28:06Speaker 8: I guess where you can find the best tickets. Best spots,
- 28:10Speaker 8: best places to go. Seat Geeks got it all, man.

- 28:27Speaker 7: so you know you're getting a good deal. And of
- 28:29Speaker 7: course the code for you Territory one zero for ten

- 28:45Speaker 7: you to seed Geek, MLB's official ticket marketplace.
- 28:49Speaker 1: The Red Sox have been a dumpster fire this season,
- 28:52Speaker 1: no question about it. So they whacked their manager, Adams
- 28:56Speaker 1: Core and five of his staff members.
- 28:59Speaker 4: Guys, if you look around on.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Baseball, some of these teams that are spending an awful
- 29:03Speaker 1: lot of money have not been good, like the Phillies,
- 29:06Speaker 1: the Mets, the Blue Jays. But let's talk about Boston
- 29:09Speaker 1: because from what I read, and I have no connection
- 29:12Speaker 1: to the Red Sox, but Lance, it seems like the
- 29:16Speaker 1: players weren't happy about it, that they weren't blaming Cora.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Just your your sense of what's going on in Boston.
- 29:24Speaker 5: So I just know Korra and know the people that
- 29:28Speaker 5: have always loved him. He is loved by his players
- 29:30Speaker 5: and always have been, so I'm not surprised that players.
- 29:34Speaker 3: And all that have his back.
- 29:36Speaker 5: You know, I don't know what was going on between
- 29:39Speaker 5: you know, obviously him in the front office, you know,
- 29:41Speaker 5: is the reason that is it a you know, is
- 29:44Speaker 5: it a hey, let's cut bait below to save our
- 29:46Speaker 5: own ass up top? You know, you never know in
- 29:48Speaker 5: this game, and that's always the worst thing.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Got it.
- 29:51Speaker 5: But I will say this, everything I know about Cora,
- 29:54Speaker 5: everything I know about anybody who's ever talked about him,
- 29:57Speaker 5: is he's got the players back and the players loving.
- 30:00Speaker 5: So I don't think he lost the locker room. And
- 30:03Speaker 5: when you're going through a bad stretch, that can happen, right,
- 30:08Speaker 5: We've all seen it. But I don't think he lost
- 30:10Speaker 5: the locker room. So that's where the where it all
- 30:14Speaker 5: comes in. And you know, the question that you have
- 30:16Speaker 5: to start looking at, is Hey, he probably wanted certain
- 30:20Speaker 5: people re signed and this and that and that didn't happen,
- 30:24Speaker 5: and then they kind of put the team together the
- 30:27Speaker 5: way they did. And I would tell you this right
- 30:30Speaker 5: now just because I know the relationship. If if he
- 30:34Speaker 5: had any choice, Breckman would have been back no matter what.
- 30:37Speaker 5: And then maybe it's just one of those things where
- 30:39Speaker 5: he looked at the front office and said I told
- 30:41Speaker 5: you so, and they said, hey.
- 30:43Speaker 3: See you later.
- 30:44Speaker 5: So I don't know, but all I know is if
- 30:47Speaker 5: the players had his back and still do so, that
- 30:50Speaker 5: wasn't the issue.
- 30:51Speaker 3: So something else going on. What about you, Kyle.
- 30:57Speaker 2: I haven't watched him hardly at all, but when you
- 31:00Speaker 2: look at the pitching, I think that probably tells the
- 31:01Speaker 2: story a little bit as to some of their struggles.
- 31:04Speaker 2: You know, Crochet hasn't been Crochet, Beyo had a couple
- 31:08Speaker 2: a couple of starts where he struggled, and then you know,
- 31:11Speaker 2: Sonny and Ranger haven't been themselves, So I mean, I
- 31:15Speaker 2: think that's part of the story. Players never want to
- 31:20Speaker 2: see their manager fired, especially when you enjoy playing for them,
- 31:24Speaker 2: because when you play bad, you realize that when your
- 31:28Speaker 2: manager gets fired, it's your fault. So yeah, I can
- 31:32Speaker 2: see why the players in our locker room still believe
- 31:34Speaker 2: in the group they have and still believe that they
- 31:36Speaker 2: can be a playoff team. So when your manager gets canned,
- 31:40Speaker 2: it's pretty frustrating. My guess is those other few coaches said, nope,
- 31:45Speaker 2: we're Alex cors guys. We're not sticking around and being
- 31:48Speaker 2: this interim staff. We're going along with them. So I've
- 31:51Speaker 2: also seen that. But still a pretty talented team just
- 31:56Speaker 2: looking at what they got, so I wouldn't be surprised.
- 32:00Speaker 2: This could go kind of two ways, right, Either the
- 32:02Speaker 2: team rallies and kind of it brings this team together,
- 32:06Speaker 2: or they're so upset with how this transpired that it
- 32:10Speaker 2: just kind of stays more of the same and they
- 32:12Speaker 2: never rebound.
- 32:13Speaker 1: So we got two former Cardinals coaches hold on.
- 32:16Speaker 3: What coaches went real quick, hitting, pitching, Oh.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Man, there is Cora, Cora and five coaches, I think.
- 32:26Speaker 5: Yeah, So my question is, hey, we're struggling here here.
- 32:29Speaker 5: We need to fire your your hitting coach, pitching coach
- 32:32Speaker 5: or whatever.
- 32:33Speaker 3: We're going to do this.
- 32:34Speaker 5: And Coorra knowing Coorra and everyone that's ever spoken of him.
- 32:38Speaker 5: He said, no, I'm not firing anybody, and then they said,
- 32:41Speaker 5: all right, you're all gone. So not only that he
- 32:45Speaker 5: knowing him, he did not sell any of his guys out,
- 32:48Speaker 5: and then they all went together. So I'm I'm just
- 32:51Speaker 5: going off what I know and what i've heard, and
- 32:54Speaker 5: I respect Korra and I respect the way people like
- 32:57Speaker 5: him in the game, and I'm going to tell you
- 32:59Speaker 5: that's what.
- 33:00Speaker 3: And they all.
- 33:01Speaker 5: Got fired because nobody would know what he wouldn't let
- 33:04Speaker 5: anybody be the scapegoat.
- 33:06Speaker 4: Yep, makes sense you.
- 33:08Speaker 1: I don't have my laptop to find that, but I
- 33:11Speaker 1: was hoping Kyle Wood. But that's okay, we understand the point.
- 33:14Speaker 4: But they were just trying.
- 33:15Speaker 2: They were just announcing the guys that are added. I
- 33:17Speaker 2: couldn't sit here and find the ones that are taking
- 33:19Speaker 2: off fast.
- 33:21Speaker 5: They need the guys add did they or did they
- 33:24Speaker 5: just come up from the down from the computer screens.
- 33:29Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't recognize.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I know was brought up no from the minors, then
- 33:40Speaker 1: hitting coach a bunch of guys last thing before before.
- 33:44Speaker 3: We move on.
- 33:45Speaker 1: I'm just curious about this because we talk about a
- 33:49Speaker 1: team like the Red Sox that has plenty of time.
- 33:52Speaker 1: There's two former Cardinals there, so you think if you're
- 33:56Speaker 1: you know, if you're if you're Sonny right or you're
- 33:58Speaker 1: Wilson and the pitch was Boston, look at you can
- 34:02Speaker 1: win there. They're still time for them to do it.
- 34:05Speaker 1: At what point in the season, Kyle, do you say, okay,
- 34:09Speaker 1: now we know what they are? Like some people say
- 34:12Speaker 1: flag day, how much time has to pass before you're
- 34:15Speaker 1: like okay. Not to say a team can't turn the
- 34:18Speaker 1: corner and change its fortunes, but when do you say, okay,
- 34:21Speaker 1: this is a good indication of what we are at
- 34:24Speaker 1: this point. What time is that?
- 34:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know.
- 34:28Speaker 2: I mean I'd have to look back at the Phillies
- 34:30Speaker 2: team in twenty twenty two when we were really bad
- 34:32Speaker 2: in the first fifty games. I want to say we
- 34:34Speaker 2: were like twenty and twenty eight or twenty one and
- 34:37Speaker 2: twenty nine, something like that.
- 34:38Speaker 4: We're bad through the first month and a half.
- 34:42Speaker 2: I mean, good players have a chance to make two
- 34:47Speaker 2: weeks flip a season round really quick. And they have
- 34:52Speaker 2: good players. So that's one thing where I'm a little
- 34:55Speaker 2: bit hesitant to give you a date, because when you
- 34:59Speaker 2: have a stack of good players. Rattling off seven or
- 35:03Speaker 2: eight wins is nothing, and then taking seven right wins,
- 35:06Speaker 2: losing one or two and then winning six more and
- 35:08Speaker 2: you look back you're like, oh, we're fourteen and three
- 35:10Speaker 2: in our last seventeen games.
- 35:12Speaker 4: That can change the season real quick.
- 35:15Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 35:15Speaker 5: What do you think, lath they have They have four
- 35:18Speaker 5: starters that if they get hot, they're they're they're they're
- 35:24Speaker 5: they're three starts stretch fifteen to twenty games right back
- 35:29Speaker 5: right back to where.
- 35:30Speaker 3: They need to be. They just haven't done that yet,
- 35:32Speaker 3: to be honest with you.
- 35:33Speaker 5: So those three guys throw the ball where they're you
- 35:36Speaker 5: know what they're how they're capable of with that offense
- 35:38Speaker 5: that they have, they could be you know, they could
- 35:41Speaker 5: be right back in it by let's say mid June,
- 35:43Speaker 5: and there's a lot of season left. So I mean,
- 35:46Speaker 5: I think that's kind of maybe they just saw so
- 35:48Speaker 5: much turmoil right now where it's like, hey, let's clean
- 35:50Speaker 5: slate and then we've got we've got what four more
- 35:52Speaker 5: months or you know, five more months, so we've got
- 35:55Speaker 5: plenty of time. But we had to we had to
- 35:57Speaker 5: do something to just change it up because last year
- 36:01Speaker 5: they didn't you know, they didn't do it. They didn't
- 36:02Speaker 5: get in the playoffs either, So it's like a whole
- 36:04Speaker 5: might have been a whole thing where it's like, hey,
- 36:05Speaker 5: we've got five months to salvage a season. A month
- 36:07Speaker 5: one didn't go well, let's let's revamp it here and
- 36:10Speaker 5: let's do it.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Gentlemen, good stuff. I appreciate the landsfornt thank you for
- 36:16Speaker 1: stepping up the potty talk. We appreciate it too. That's
- 36:19Speaker 1: gonna do it for this edition of Cardinals Talk. Join

- 36:26Speaker 1: one won't suck.
