- 0:03Speaker 1: So we're having a great Hari Raya celebration. I saw
- 0:06Speaker 1: so many beautiful pictures over the weekend and I think
- 0:09Speaker 1: of it being a PH today for quite a lot
- 0:12Speaker 1: of you actually, no school still.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Um, I'm not about, I'm not so sure about offices
- 0:16Speaker 1: because I did hear that some of my friends may
- 0:19Speaker 1: still be working or they have to specifically say that
- 0:23Speaker 1: they're not gonna come into the office or apply for
- 0:25Speaker 1: the off in lieu or something like that. So I'm
- 0:27Speaker 1: not entirely sure whether the whole world is sleeping in today.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Are we alone on this? I don't know, but Joy
- 0:34Speaker 1: will be with us in just now. I want to
- 0:36Speaker 1: say this very quickly before my mom wakes up and
- 0:38Speaker 1: starts tuning in, OK?
- 0:40Speaker 1: Um, so you know me, I'm not the most like
- 0:43Speaker 1: athletic person, but in the recent times, I was almost,
- 0:48Speaker 1: I was encouraged to pick up paddle. And prior to that,
- 0:52Speaker 1: I took some tennis classes, but I didn't continue because
- 0:54Speaker 1: it was so hard to book the court. You say
- 0:56Speaker 1: you're not the most athletic person, but I believe you
- 0:59Speaker 1: have your moments. I have my moments. Yeah, like when
- 1:01Speaker 1: I feel like it, suddenly I can be an athlete,
- 1:03Speaker 1: you know, turn into prime.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Serena Williams. Oh, thank you so much. Yeah, that's you
- 1:08Speaker 1: flatter me. Uh, and so unfortunately, just yesterday, I was
- 1:13Speaker 1: just talking about getting the right shoes, right, because you know,
- 1:16Speaker 1: for different sports like tennis or paddle or anything at
- 1:20Speaker 1: all running, there may be like a specific shoe for
- 1:23Speaker 1: that specific sport and for paddle ball and pickleball, you
- 1:27Speaker 1: need shoes if I'm not. Yes, yes, but it's different
- 1:31Speaker 1: from like tennis shoes, I think. So yeah, there's a
- 1:34Speaker 1: slight difference. So for, for paddle, there's a reason why
- 1:37Speaker 1: you need this specific shoe because of the ground, there's
- 1:40Speaker 1: a bit of sand in there.
- 1:41Speaker 1: And so on, and the movements are like more lateral,
- 1:44Speaker 1: like sideways, right? So unfortunately, I still haven't gotten the
- 1:47Speaker 1: right shoes because I've just been like treating it as
- 1:49Speaker 1: a very leisurely thing, like I just go and play
- 1:52Speaker 1: for fun, but of course, competitive sidekicks in and then
- 1:56Speaker 1: Jeremy also wants me to get better, so he keeps
- 1:58Speaker 1: asking me to go and play, right? I smell a
- 2:00Speaker 1: mixed doubles competition. No, no, no, no, no, no, I can't,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I can't. Honestly, I think he has better partners out there, um,
- 2:06Speaker 1: and I accidentally sprained my ankle yesterday.
- 2:10Speaker 1: So initially I was like, OK, I can't be that
- 2:12Speaker 1: bad because, you know, you know, the ankle roll, like
- 2:14Speaker 1: when you, when you slip, maybe even sometimes when you're walking,
- 2:17Speaker 1: you accidentally trip over something, then your ankle rolls like sideways.
- 2:20Speaker 1: That sensation, did it hit you? It, it did. It
- 2:24Speaker 1: was like, whoa, suddenly I heard, I heard like a
- 2:26Speaker 1: twist or something, you know, and then.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Um, I went to ice it, right? So it looked OK,
- 2:31Speaker 1: like it wasn't really swelling up or anything. Then, you know,
- 2:35Speaker 1: elevated it. I didn't play already for the second half
- 2:37Speaker 1: and uh went for dinner, I could still walk, you know,
- 2:40Speaker 1: drove and everything, went home, iced it a bit, and
- 2:43Speaker 1: went to sleep, right? So I elevated it at night. Unfortunately,
- 2:46Speaker 1: this morning is starting to look like twice its size,
- 2:50Speaker 1: which I suppose is normal because I got nervous and I,
- 2:54Speaker 1: you know, talked to Chad GPT this morning when I
- 2:56Speaker 1: woke up.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I was like, is this normal? And it was like, OK,
- 3:00Speaker 1: as long as it's not bruising in a very like
- 3:03Speaker 1: dark color or like looking even worse like visually than before,
- 3:08Speaker 1: then you should have a mild sprain. So guess what
- 3:11Speaker 1: I'm doing now? I'm icing my ankle. Good as you should.
- 3:13Speaker 1: So give it today and tomorrow. If it's still swelling
- 3:16Speaker 1: and there are bruises, then quickly go for an X-ray
- 3:19Speaker 1: or MRI to make sure there's no ligament scan or
- 3:21Speaker 1: ligament tear. Yeah, but it's like the worst possible time
- 3:24Speaker 1: because I've got, I've got a short trip.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Over the next few days, so I'll leave you alone
- 3:27Speaker 1: for 2 days. But um, I have to walk around
- 3:30Speaker 1: like airport la, like luggage. How you know what, be
- 3:34Speaker 1: thankful it's just a sprained ankle, like a torn meniscus
- 3:37Speaker 1: or I don't think it's that. So should I just
- 3:39Speaker 1: like wrap it up or what do I do? Ice it,
- 3:41Speaker 1: just keep icing it, elevate it. That's the thing. How
- 3:43Speaker 1: am I going to ice it every 15 minutes as
- 3:46Speaker 1: per recommended when I'm out the whole day? I'll be
- 3:47Speaker 1: your icing reminder for the entire show today, only for
- 3:50Speaker 1: the show. Yes, today and tomorrow.
- 3:53Speaker 1: OK, I don't know, man. Like, let's see how it goes.
- 3:55Speaker 1: You went from prime Serena Williams to prime circus clown.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I'm a clown. That's my true self. It's Gin. Don't
- 4:02Speaker 1: say you love me right here on 987, Singapore's number
- 4:05Speaker 1: one hit music station. Sonny and joking with you. Thanks
- 4:07Speaker 1: for joining us. Gin's from BTS. Am I right? I
- 4:12Speaker 1: believe so, yeah. Wow, what a comeback. I know, and
- 4:15Speaker 1: you know what, I, one of them, one of them, um.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Injured their ankle too, right? RM was it RM? OK,
- 4:24Speaker 1: because I vaguely saw something floating about like social media
- 4:28Speaker 1: and then I was like, I feel you, bro. I
- 4:29Speaker 1: feel you. But he was still on stage performing but
- 4:32Speaker 1: he was hopping on one leg. I was watching all
- 4:34Speaker 1: the highlights from Netflix as well as Mickey Rice, yeah, yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 1: yeah TikTok.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yo, they gave 100% for that comeback. It was insane.
- 4:41Speaker 1: I mean, if you're performing in Seoul, you have to
- 4:44Speaker 1: wow the 200%, yeah. Anyway, something that wowed our home
- 4:49Speaker 1: crowd here in Singapore, over in the Gimmo area. Investigations
- 4:53Speaker 1: are ongoing right now for something that you would never see,
- 4:57Speaker 1: and I'm going to give you a hint first. You
- 4:58Speaker 1: don't guess first, OK? It lasted for 5 minutes. That's
- 5:03Speaker 1: all I'm going to say.
- 5:05Speaker 1: The amount of jokes I want to say on radio. So,
- 5:09Speaker 1: this is undergoing investigations right now. Over in the Gimmo area.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Something lasted for 5 minutes to which people noticed and
- 5:17Speaker 1: the police were informed. Can you faster break the news
- 5:21Speaker 1: so I won't laugh too much?
- 5:23Speaker 1: A resident in Gimmo and I think several residents were
- 5:26Speaker 1: very shocked to hear and see fireworks erupting at about
- 5:32Speaker 1: 11 p.m. just two nights ago. Now when we say fireworks,
- 5:36Speaker 1: it's not sparklers you're. Yeah, like honestly, it looks like
- 5:40Speaker 1: it was commissioned by someone, but um people were saying that, OK,
- 5:44Speaker 1: they saw it originating from a car park near the Gimmo,
- 5:48Speaker 1: one of Gimmo blocks, right?
- 5:49Speaker 1: And he said that they heard people cheering, you know,
- 5:52Speaker 1: celebrating and stuff like that. So I mean, one might
- 5:56Speaker 1: wonder whether it's got to do with any sort of celebrations. Firstly, yes. Secondly,
- 6:01Speaker 1: did the people not know that it's illegal?
- 6:05Speaker 1: So here's my question. There are many things that that
- 6:08Speaker 1: will be raised with the police. Firstly, how did they
- 6:11Speaker 1: bring it in Singapore because it's illegal. Secondly, nobody checked. OK, yes,
- 6:18Speaker 1: you're right, but I'm curious how it got here as
- 6:21Speaker 1: well because it looks like it must have been quite substantial,
- 6:24Speaker 1: you know, it's not like sparklers. You know, I, I,
- 6:26Speaker 1: I'm on the side of the comment section that's saying
- 6:29Speaker 1: that I celebrations and all that, but there has to
- 6:31Speaker 1: be rules in place.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Because you don't know whether are they letting it go
- 6:34Speaker 1: from a safe spot, something might catch fire. Will anybody
- 6:39Speaker 1: be affected? And you know sometimes when the fireworks burst, right, the, um,
- 6:43Speaker 1: debris on people or people's clothes, there are many factors
- 6:47Speaker 1: into play, you see, here, here, that's the reason why,
- 6:50Speaker 1: I mean, you and I have hosted many shows that
- 6:53Speaker 1: have had fireworks, um, although those are on much larger scales,
- 6:57Speaker 1: they will have to do it obviously from a safe
- 6:59Speaker 1: distance away.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Away from the audience, right? But the fact that this
- 7:02Speaker 1: was done like at a public car park in the
- 7:04Speaker 1: midst of the HDB blocks, OK, I'm sure that they
- 7:07Speaker 1: tried to pick a safe spot, but I think it
- 7:11Speaker 1: is only right to that this is being looked into
- 7:13Speaker 1: right now. Yeah, so again, it's illegal here in Singapore. Yeah,
- 7:17Speaker 1: don't forget, if you really want to let off fireworks,
- 7:19Speaker 1: go to JB go the nearest spot possible. Yes. I
- 7:24Speaker 1: just went to the pantry and one of the Chinese DJs.
- 7:27Speaker 1: The Chinese stations actually said, hey, do you know that
- 7:30Speaker 1: if this is a public holiday for all people like
- 7:33Speaker 1: everywhere in every company, or is it just for schools?
- 7:37Speaker 1: It's like an off in lieu. It is, but I
- 7:39Speaker 1: know some people who are still working today. They say, oh,
- 7:41Speaker 1: it's not really like an official public holiday. They can
- 7:45Speaker 1: take it another time. Only because Hari Rayawasa was on Saturday.
- 7:50Speaker 1: So if you have an off in lieu and if
- 7:51Speaker 1: you're awake and tuned in, we say thank you very much.
- 7:53Speaker 1: You could be going for your nature.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Trail walks or jogs or just going for breakfast or
- 7:59Speaker 1: sleeping in and not listening to us, that's fine. We
- 8:03Speaker 1: encourage that. When we come back here on the show,
- 8:05Speaker 1: there are some rankings involving Singapore Singapore beloved brands. Sonia. OK,
- 8:11Speaker 1: and who did these rankings, may I know? OK, so
- 8:14Speaker 1: one is from Euromoney Private Banking Awards and the other
- 8:19Speaker 1: one involves the airlines. Alright, OK, so more surveys.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Almost in a way. Some to be happy about, some
- 8:26Speaker 1: to be quite concerned about like scratching your head about it. Um, also,
- 8:30Speaker 1: aside from $5000 that could be yours, we've got a
- 8:33Speaker 1: really wonderful treat thanks to our friends from Quartz this
- 8:37Speaker 1: entire week on our show. So you make sure you
- 8:40Speaker 1: stay tuned because you don't want to miss out on
- 8:41Speaker 1: all these good deals. So it's a brand new game,
- 8:43Speaker 1: a very easy one. It's called Over the Top or not.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Very simple. Yeah. All the details next. Wake up.
- 8:52Speaker 1: next to you.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Kicking off your day in the best way. It's Sonia
- 8:56Speaker 1: and Joakim on the shock circuit. Good morning and welcome
- 8:59Speaker 1: back to the show. In case you just joined us,
- 9:02Speaker 1: you just heard it this entire week brought to you
- 9:04Speaker 1: by Quarts. We got great deals and prizes just for
- 9:07Speaker 1: you later on. And also some beloved Singapore brands being
- 9:10Speaker 1: ranked by surveys around the world. Let's find out. Alright,
- 9:13Speaker 1: stay tuned. Singapore's number one hit music station.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Come because we are a results-based country, right? Always. How
- 9:21Speaker 1: about this? Some results from surveys ranking below the Singapore brands.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Shall I start with the first piece of good news, Sonia?
- 9:29Speaker 1: Congratulations to DBS Bank. Wow. According to Euromoney Private Banking Awards,
- 9:36Speaker 1: they are the world's best private bank, the world's safest
- 9:40Speaker 1: private bank, and the world's best for digital assets category.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Well done.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Very proud. Another thing to add into Miss Tan Su
- 9:49Speaker 1: Shan's belt. Be a notch in her belt. Then we
- 9:52Speaker 1: move on to the next piece of good news. According
- 9:53Speaker 1: to our friends over at Skytrax, Singapore's Changi Airport, for
- 9:59Speaker 1: the 14th time, the world's best airport. Very happy. That's
- 10:04Speaker 1: very good news. So in 2nd place, we've got Seoul's.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Incheon Airport, 3rd place Haneda, and 4th place Hong Kong Airport,
- 10:11Speaker 1: which also won the world's best airport washrooms. This one,
- 10:16Speaker 1: how come Singapore never win? Yeah, I was gonna say
- 10:18Speaker 1: that because we actually have that rating system in the,
- 10:21Speaker 1: in the, in the bathrooms, right, and you can actually
- 10:24Speaker 1: rate it and then they'll come and fix it if
- 10:26Speaker 1: you know, something is not right.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Changi Airport regularly to start my long runs from the
- 10:31Speaker 1: Jurassic Mile area. What kind of runs are we talking? Run,
- 10:35Speaker 1: running Jurassic Mile to Marina Bay. I mean when you
- 10:39Speaker 1: use the restroom, there's always like the restroom attendant on
- 10:42Speaker 1: standby to immediately clean and make sure it smells good
- 10:45Speaker 1: and all that. OK, this one, the next ranking is
- 10:49Speaker 1: the last one, yeah.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Not too good for Singapore. Why? According to airline ratings.com,
- 10:56Speaker 1: Singapore Airlines, 3rd best airlines. OK, it's not that, not
- 11:03Speaker 1: all is lost. I mean, OK, in first place, it
- 11:06Speaker 1: was Qatar. That one, it's always a tough fight between
- 11:10Speaker 1: us and Singapore. Yeah, they're always neck and neck. In
- 11:13Speaker 1: 2nd place.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It's Cathay Pacific. Actually Cathay Pacific. I don't know if
- 11:19Speaker 1: you've flown to Hong Kong, but I think this one.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Given how Cathay Pacific is second place, this will make
- 11:27Speaker 1: our friends over at Singapore Airlines go, OK, we got
- 11:30Speaker 1: to step up now. I, I will say I don't
- 11:32Speaker 1: think that they will, they will be completely surprised because
- 11:36Speaker 1: I think over the past year, like 2025, there were
- 11:38Speaker 1: a few incidents that I think might have caused our
- 11:41Speaker 1: ranking to slip a little bit. Yeah, and, and you
- 11:44Speaker 1: know what, I think they will take it in their
- 11:45Speaker 1: stride and just try and buckle up, tighten their straps
- 11:48Speaker 1: and improve in 2026.
- 11:50Speaker 1: So it, it, you know what, sometimes things that go wrong, right,
- 11:53Speaker 1: will push you in the right direction. So things that
- 11:56Speaker 1: were considered for airline ratings were the seat pitch, amenities, pillows,
- 12:01Speaker 1: and menu choices. Yeah. So I'll wait for the Skytrax's
- 12:05Speaker 1: best airline ranking. Skytrax is the one where they also
- 12:08Speaker 1: ranked like, uh, economy class, premium economy, business first, all
- 12:12Speaker 1: that kind of stuff, OK, like a more detailed breakdown. Yes,
- 12:15Speaker 1: so if Singapore Airlines.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Maybe 3rd in the Skytrax rankings. They will have to
- 12:20Speaker 1: see what they can do in 2026. Come on boys. Yeah,
- 12:23Speaker 1: I mean, look, hey, we are still very big supporters, OK?
- 12:26Speaker 1: We just want our national airline to do well. You
- 12:29Speaker 1: are our home before we even get to home. Yeah,
- 12:31Speaker 1: I feel so relieved, you know, like, you know, that
- 12:33Speaker 1: just that feeling it's like, uh, priceless. Before we get
- 12:37Speaker 1: to 987 secret sound just before we hit 8. This
- 12:41Speaker 1: is something that you might wonder why on earth is
- 12:45Speaker 1: it still happening.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Here in Singapore, especially, right, you would know that if
- 12:49Speaker 1: you get fined for something, you will probably most likely
- 12:52Speaker 1: learn your lesson and you don't want to do it again, right?
- 13:02Speaker 1: Change, your punishment might change. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, or
- 13:05Speaker 1: something else, I don't know, whatever it is that you're doing, right? Um,
- 13:08Speaker 1: in just a few minutes, find out how for this
- 13:11Speaker 1: particular woman, unfortunately, I, I don't know, I hope she's
- 13:14Speaker 1: doing OK, um, mentally and emotionally and everything, but the
- 13:18Speaker 1: fines don't seem to be stopping her when it comes
- 13:20Speaker 1: to this particular crime, I would almost say the pigeons.
- 13:25Speaker 1: You are right.
- 13:28Speaker 1: You are right. I'll tell you the story in just
- 13:30Speaker 1: a little bit and how much she was actually fined,
- 13:34Speaker 1: not just once but twice, and find out how many
- 13:37Speaker 1: times she's been caught feeding pigeons, OK? Details. Earlier on,
- 13:41Speaker 1: like I said, you know, here in Singapore, it's very
- 13:43Speaker 1: common to, let's say if you do something, break a rule,
- 13:46Speaker 1: you get fined. Even small things like maybe a traffic
- 13:49Speaker 1: offense or something, um, parking-related offense, you get fined, right.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Um, for this particular woman, I know Joakim is gonna
- 13:58Speaker 1: face palm for sure, because it involves something that we've
- 14:01Speaker 1: been talking about increasingly more, I guess over the months,
- 14:05Speaker 1: because the pigeon population has just expanded, OK?
- 14:09Speaker 1: This lady, she's about 60 years old, could have been
- 14:12Speaker 1: any one of our moms, right? She was previously fined
- 14:16Speaker 1: in 2025 for a pigeon feeding offense and she was
- 14:20Speaker 1: fined $4800. Since then, she was caught feeding pigeons 17
- 14:26Speaker 1: times and she's been fined another $9000 Joakim, in present day. OK. So,
- 14:33Speaker 1: given how in 2022 to 2025 there were 320 cases.
- 14:38Speaker 1: illegal bird feeding, and she's done it 17 times. Contributed
- 14:41Speaker 1: quite a lot, yeah. Her name appears in the record
- 14:44Speaker 1: book 17 times. Exactly, for sure. So I, I think
- 14:47Speaker 1: she pleaded guilty to 6 charges under the Wildlife Act.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Another 11 charges are being considered right now. So that's
- 14:54Speaker 1: quite a lot of fines, you know. So she even
- 14:56Speaker 1: admitted to her ex and acknowledged that she knows that
- 14:59Speaker 1: feeding wildlife is an offense, but she said she's doing
- 15:01Speaker 1: it out of compassion.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Which Joakim, you know, we discussed this last week. I
- 15:06Speaker 1: said sometimes they're lonely, right? Some of the elderly, they
- 15:09Speaker 1: want to have a purpose, and this could be one
- 15:11Speaker 1: of them, unfortunately. A habitation and spiritual beliefs, but the
- 15:19Speaker 1: problem is it's a public health risk, right? You know
- 15:22Speaker 1: that pigeons, the feeding of pigeons.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Can attract disease-carrying pests and other situations. So that's the
- 15:28Speaker 1: reason why. But ma'am, with the amount of money you're
- 15:30Speaker 1: paying the fines and all that, that's what I have
- 15:34Speaker 1: compassion for your bank account. Yeah, that's the thing like
- 15:38Speaker 1: if she, you know, if she's being fined twice already
- 15:41Speaker 1: and the fine is getting like it's double this round.
- 15:44Speaker 1: What is the next punishment going to be if she
- 15:47Speaker 1: continues feeding the pigeons, right? I mean, I, I really
- 15:51Speaker 1: hope it's not jail time. I know because she's 60, like,
- 15:54Speaker 1: like I said, it could have been any one of
- 15:56Speaker 1: our mothers.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I hope she has someone to watch out for her
- 15:59Speaker 1: and just look after her, you know how to feel
- 16:02Speaker 1: about this, to be honest with you I know. Because
- 16:05Speaker 1: we here on 987, we love you, our listeners, so
- 16:08Speaker 1: very much. We want to give you cold hard cash
- 16:10Speaker 1: in the form of $5000. Not exactly a snowball yet,
- 16:14Speaker 1: but I'm very happy to announce that our secret buzzer prize,
- 16:18Speaker 1: it begins as of this week. It does. So at
- 16:21Speaker 1: any time.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Every time you hear the secret buzzer, the moment you
- 16:23Speaker 1: call in over at 669-11987, you win the prize, whether
- 16:27Speaker 1: you get the answer right or wrong. You qualify for
- 16:29Speaker 1: our big grand draw and see if you become $5000 richer. So,
- 16:34Speaker 1: should we reveal what is our secret buzzer prize that
- 16:38Speaker 1: you could win at any point this week? We should,
- 16:39Speaker 1: given how we are prioritizing our wellness and mental health
- 16:42Speaker 1: and all that. How about a nice sauna plant.
- 16:45Speaker 1: And repeat, to our friends over at the Plunge Club,

- 17:37Speaker 1: Pluunge Club we go. Worth over $1000. So listen very carefully.
- 17:41Speaker 1: This is the secret sound you have to identify.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Gonna play it one more time.
- 17:48Speaker 1: You know what to do
- 17:52Speaker 1: That sound.
- 17:55Speaker 1: 87.
- 18:00Speaker 1: What's that sound?
- 18:02Speaker 1: Hi, this is Jermaine. Hi, Jermaine, good morning. How are
- 18:05Speaker 1: you today? Good morning. Feeling good because I managed to
- 18:09Speaker 1: call through. What were you doing when you attempted to
- 18:12Speaker 1: call through? Are you getting ready for work, school, or what? Yeah,
- 18:15Speaker 1: I'm getting ready for work. OK, Jermaine, you sound.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Like somebody who does research. So I think you know
- 18:20Speaker 1: what not to say. I hope so for your answer, right? Yes,
- 18:23Speaker 1: I've heard a few answers like picking up the pen, etc. Oh, OK, yeah,
- 18:28Speaker 1: she knows, she knows. Alright, fingers crossed, we're rooting for you.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Listen very carefully.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Alright, Jermaine, for $5000 what is our secret sound? I
- 18:39Speaker 1: think it's abacus, using the Abacus. We haven't had that answer,
- 18:43Speaker 1: I believe. You're locking it in? Yes. Alright, let's find out.
- 18:47Speaker 1: You are incorrect.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Chance to play 987's Secret sound continues.
- 18:56Speaker 1: sound.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I mean, unfortunately not the answer we're looking for. Boss
- 19:01Speaker 1: Janice with a one word reply going, nope. That's it.
- 19:05Speaker 1: I think credit has to be given for quite an
- 19:07Speaker 1: original answer though. I didn't didn't cross my mind. But Jimmy,
- 19:10Speaker 1: not to worry, you've qualified for our big grand draw.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Take care, OK? OK, thank you.
- 19:18Speaker 1: One guess win.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Just a little bit, 8 to 9, always one of
- 19:27Speaker 1: our favorite things to do. Get your calls, get your stories,
- 19:30Speaker 1: your opinions. Um, this one inspired by unfortunately me again.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Taking a risk talking about this right now because I
- 19:37Speaker 1: think my mom might be tuning in already. Hello, Mama Chew,
- 19:40Speaker 1: I assure you Sonny Chew is fine. I'm fine. I'm fine.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I've had a minor sprain in my ankle. OK. Um,
- 19:47Speaker 1: I'll tell you, I'll tell you the full story in
- 19:49Speaker 1: just a little bit, but
- 19:51Speaker 1: The the phone lines will be opened up very soon
- 19:53Speaker 1: because I'm very sure that a lot of us have
- 19:56Speaker 1: had injured ourselves or sprained our ankle or wrist or whatever,
- 19:59Speaker 1: you know, thing, doing something quite silly. OK. Um, for me,
- 20:03Speaker 1: it was when I was playing paddle yesterday, um, even
- 20:06Speaker 1: though I'm not that good of a player, in fact,
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'm still quite a beginner. Um, unfortunately, I didn't wear
- 20:11Speaker 1: the right shoes and I have a minor sprain in
- 20:13Speaker 1: my right ankle right now, which, of course, what did
- 20:16Speaker 1: Joakim do the first thing when he walked in through
- 20:18Speaker 1: the door, he saw me sitting here with my
- 20:20Speaker 1: Ankle elevated with an ice pack, he burst out laughing.
- 20:23Speaker 1: What do you expect from your non-biological older brother? What?
- 20:28Speaker 1: What do you expect? Just laugh at you, lah. Yeah,
- 20:30Speaker 1: make things a little bit better. Have I ever gotten
- 20:33Speaker 1: myself injured doing something stupid? I'm sure you have. Yes,
- 20:36Speaker 1: I'm sure you have. Yeah. And you just told me
- 20:38Speaker 1: a story of, uh, one of your friends that did
- 20:40Speaker 1: just that, walking out of the toilet. Poor thing la.
- 20:43Speaker 1: You know what, let me, let me share my story
- 20:45Speaker 1: and my friend's story in a while. That's happening right
- 20:48Speaker 1: in a few minutes. Wake up.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Kicking off your day in the best way. It's Sonia
- 20:56Speaker 1: and Joakim on the shock circuit. Coming up within the hour,
- 20:59Speaker 1: Joakim's just going to laugh at me now, but have
- 21:01Speaker 1: you ever injured yourself doing something kind of silly? I mean,
- 21:06Speaker 1: playing paddle isn't kind of silly. I know, but it's
- 21:09Speaker 1: not even my day job, you know what I mean?
- 21:11Speaker 1: I do it for fun. It's for fun. Singapore's number
- 21:14Speaker 1: one hit music station.
- 21:18Speaker 1: So, uh, context this morning when Joakim walked in, he
- 21:21Speaker 1: saw me slumped in the chair with my right leg
- 21:25Speaker 1: elevated with an ice pack because I, I have a
- 21:29Speaker 1: minor sprain from a paddle game yesterday. Has your mom
- 21:32Speaker 1: texted you? No, no, don't. I'm just gonna brush past
- 21:35Speaker 1: this really quickly because I should neck. And then, you know,
- 21:39Speaker 1: tomorrow I have to take a flight as well, and
- 21:41Speaker 1: I don't know how this is going to work out,
- 21:43Speaker 1: but I'll figure it out. I'll figure it out.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Um, but we wanted to open up the phone lines 669-11987.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I believe Joakim has his own story as well. I mean,
- 21:52Speaker 1: even though, OK, my incident isn't too like, it wasn't
- 21:56Speaker 1: so funny because I guess it was my choice to
- 21:58Speaker 1: go and play this paddle game, right? But I'm sure
- 22:01Speaker 1: there were moments where we injured ourselves.
- 22:04Speaker 1: doing something completely silly and stupid. I mean, most of
- 22:07Speaker 1: my injuries come from sports like football, like tearing my ACL,
- 22:11Speaker 1: my meniscus, and that's why I stopped playing football altogether.
- 22:15Speaker 1: But running, so there are a couple of times where
- 22:18Speaker 1: I know my hamstrings a little bit strained. I still
- 22:20Speaker 1: go and stubbornly go and run even though I tell
- 22:21Speaker 1: you you shouldn't, right?
- 22:24Speaker 1: Hey, don't make this about me. This is about you, OK?
- 22:29Speaker 1: Uh, I'm just thinking, were there any silly occasions where
- 22:32Speaker 1: I got myself injured? Maybe once, and this happened last
- 22:35Speaker 1: year actually.
- 22:36Speaker 1: You over yourself. No, no, no, because I've seen you
- 22:39Speaker 1: do that before. I wouldn't call this a silly way
- 22:41Speaker 1: to get injured, but I think somebody at the MRT
- 22:43Speaker 1: train was having a little bit of a breathing problem,
- 22:46Speaker 1: so I think he was on the floor. So I
- 22:48Speaker 1: actually squat down to lift him up. I think I
- 22:50Speaker 1: squat down using the wrong technique, kind of pulled my
- 22:54Speaker 1: ITB band a bit. IT band your IT band. Yes,
- 22:59Speaker 1: the side of your legs. Runners will know what the
- 23:01Speaker 1: IT band is. OK, runners, only runners know lah.
- 23:05Speaker 1: I feel like normal people don't know. It's easier to
- 23:07Speaker 1: explain to people who know what? Yeah, I explain my
- 23:12Speaker 1: IT band like, OK.
- 23:17Speaker 1: You better pass that.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Irritating. There you go. Give us a call 669-11987. Have
- 23:28Speaker 1: you ever injured yourself doing something completely stupid and you
- 23:31Speaker 1: feel like you need to come up with some new
- 23:33Speaker 1: story about that?
- 23:35Speaker 1: Let us know, OK, I don't want to feel so
- 23:37Speaker 1: alone on this because I'm gonna spend the rest of
- 23:40Speaker 1: the week limping about, and Joakim has come up with
- 23:42Speaker 1: many nicknames for me already, which we shall not repeat
- 23:45Speaker 1: on band for the week is limp. Well, um, my
- 23:50Speaker 1: sprained ankle was bothering me, but thankfully I didn't wake
- 23:52Speaker 1: up at all last night. I only realized that it
- 23:55Speaker 1: was a bit more swollen this morning. Um, context, I
- 23:58Speaker 1: have a minor.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Sprained from playing paddle yesterday and you know what the
- 24:01Speaker 1: funny thing is I'm not even that good. I don't
- 24:03Speaker 1: know how I sprained it. Are you saying the word
- 24:06Speaker 1: minor because you know your mom is tuned in? Can
- 24:09Speaker 1: you not me like that? So it's like the psychology.
- 24:11Speaker 1: It's a minor sprain. I already searched out on Chad GPT. OK. Oh, it's, uh,
- 24:16Speaker 1: it's minor because it's not bruising. So Chad GPT is
- 24:19Speaker 1: your new doctor lah. Yeah, rather than you lah, better
- 24:22Speaker 1: than you.
- 24:23Speaker 1: OK, so we're going straight to our messages and our
- 24:26Speaker 1: phone lines. We've got two callers hanging on the line,
- 24:28Speaker 1: but first up, some messages coming your way. Yeah, I
- 24:30Speaker 1: I say good morning to Wayne. Morning, Sonia and Joakim.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I injured my IT band before. Oh, OK, the band.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Don't laugh at Joakim. By the way, this happened a
- 24:39Speaker 1: few years ago. I sprained my thumb while playing blackjack.
- 24:46Speaker 1: With my friends on the bus. What? I got a
- 24:51Speaker 1: blackjack and I suddenly showed my cards. My friends who
- 24:53Speaker 1: also got blackjack, slammed his palm on my thumb accidentally,
- 24:56Speaker 1: causing it to bend backwards. It was very pain. I
- 25:00Speaker 1: was on the way to volleyball training as well. I
- 25:02Speaker 1: did not know what to tell my coach. You have
- 25:05Speaker 1: to come up with another story, man.
- 25:09Speaker 1: From black jack to blue black on your thumb. Hey,
- 25:11Speaker 1: by the way, volleyball and basketball, it's a very common
- 25:14Speaker 1: injury where the ball going too fast, right? It might
- 25:17Speaker 1: bend your fingers or thumbs backwards, so be careful. Oh,
- 25:19Speaker 1: that's so scary. Hey man, thank you for sharing the
- 25:21Speaker 1: story with us, but I hope you came up with
- 25:23Speaker 1: a cooler story to your coach that very day. When
- 25:27Speaker 1: we come back, some callers on the line, don't go anywhere.
- 25:29Speaker 1: In exchange for your stories.
- 25:31Speaker 1: We've got an incredible treat. This is going to be
- 25:34Speaker 1: a Sunday brunch at Food Exchange at Stevens for $2
- 25:38Speaker 1: worth $240. 0 my gosh, that's just insane. Um, the
- 25:43Speaker 1: Stevens Sunday brunch where you can turn your Sundays into
- 25:46Speaker 1: a vacation with a luxurious seafood buffet. They've got freshly
- 25:50Speaker 1: shucked oysters, prawns, lobsters, and so much more. All the
- 25:53Speaker 1: details next.
- 25:55Speaker 1: It's Regina Song. She is cooking up new music, I believe.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I mean, she's been hinting at it. So let's see
- 26:01Speaker 1: what she has in store for us. Anyway, back to
- 26:03Speaker 1: the topic here. Have you ever injured yourself doing something
- 26:06Speaker 1: completely silly before inspired by me playing paddle yesterday, but
- 26:10Speaker 1: let's move away from that and laugh at other people's stories.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Very scared, right? Wanna say good morning to Miss Tay
- 26:17Speaker 1: on WhatsApp. Morning, Sonia and Joakim. During COVID.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I was doing jumping jacks at home during lunch and
- 26:22Speaker 1: ended up falling and hurting my elbow. I didn't think
- 26:26Speaker 1: too much of it till the evening when it swelled up,
- 26:29Speaker 1: ended up at the A&E and it turned out I
- 26:31Speaker 1: had a hairline fracture. Got a cast and a five-day MC.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Lesson learned, never underestimate the power of a fall or
- 26:39Speaker 1: maybe I did it the wrong way, jumping jacks. I
- 26:41Speaker 1: was gonna say lesson learned, never again.
- 26:44Speaker 1: No, I'm kidding, I'm kidding,
- 26:46Speaker 2: I'm
- 26:46Speaker 1: kidding. Justin, what about you?
- 26:49Speaker 2: I'm outdoors quite a bit visiting customers, so I was
- 26:52Speaker 2: at NUS and I decided, hey, I can climb the hill.
- 26:57Speaker 2: It was slippery. I slid down the hill. I twisted
- 27:01Speaker 2: my ankle, I scraped my, my, I don't know what's
- 27:04Speaker 2: that part of the shin,
- 27:04Speaker 1: yeah, the shin, what's it called? What, what, what do
- 27:07Speaker 1: runners call it? The shin. OK, just checking. Anyway, Justin, continue, yeah.
- 27:13Speaker 2: There's no alarm because I, I basically I slided back
- 27:16Speaker 2: into my own car. There was a small dent as well,
- 27:19Speaker 2: and I went to the customer's side. My leg was bleeding, um,
- 27:24Speaker 2: and I wore a beige pants. Oh, it's not worth
- 27:27Speaker 2: it at all. And the best part was the staircase
- 27:30Speaker 2: was just like 1 m away.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Uh, Justin, here's an important question. Did you get that sale?
- 27:37Speaker 2: I did. OK.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Something came out of the page. Talking about the times
- 27:41Speaker 1: where you might have injured yourself doing something completely silly,
- 27:45Speaker 1: getting your stories right now, heading to our messages before
- 27:48Speaker 1: we go back to phone lines. OK, it's gonna get
- 27:50Speaker 1: quite painful now, Sonia. I want to say good morning
- 27:53Speaker 1: to V on WhatsApp.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Hey guys, worst injury in my life was when I
- 27:57Speaker 1: fell down and my body rolled over my shoulder during
- 28:01Speaker 1: a warm-up session in a weight loss boot camp. My
- 28:05Speaker 1: ACJ bone popped out. So to put it very simply,
- 28:08Speaker 1: it's the one that connects your collarbone to your shoulder
- 28:11Speaker 1: and your arm. Yeah, so somewhere in the middle around there,
- 28:13Speaker 1: it popped out. Had to go for surgery. During surgery,
- 28:17Speaker 1: the doctor realized that the bone popped out due to
- 28:20Speaker 1: a ligament.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Which was torn. I needed 30 stitches for the ligament
- 28:25Speaker 1: repair and 6 screws to set the bone back. Took
- 28:28Speaker 1: me 1.5 years to get the full range of my
- 28:31Speaker 1: arm again. Oh my goodness, I'm glad you're OK now. This, this, uh,
- 28:35Speaker 1: was quite some time ago, I suppose. One more coming
- 28:38Speaker 1: in from Ster who goes, Morning, Sojo. I was in
- 28:40Speaker 1: Japan with my friends on holiday a few years back.
- 28:43Speaker 1: There was a ride, if I'm not wrong, the Harry
- 28:45Speaker 1: Potter theme at the theme park.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I was not ready as I was talking to my
- 28:49Speaker 1: friend sitting next to me, and the sudden jerk on
- 28:52Speaker 1: the right as he prepared to move caused me to
- 28:53Speaker 1: strain my neck. And throughout the trip I only can
- 28:56Speaker 1: look one way, not the other.
- 29:01Speaker 1: We don't mean to laugh, but OK, now it's quite funny. Guys,
- 29:04Speaker 1: you know, I, I gotta say, I mean, look, all
- 29:06Speaker 1: these stories coming through, giving us a smile on our
- 29:09Speaker 1: faces here this morning. We're just chuckling away and knowing
- 29:12Speaker 1: how was with friends, I can only imagine they laughing
- 29:14Speaker 1: at his injury as well, Esther, I'm over here. Turn here. Esther,
- 29:18Speaker 1: turn here.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Look, you cannot have a friend like Jokima. That's it.
- 29:23Speaker 1: What are friends for? Exactly, exactly. When we come back,
- 29:26Speaker 1: more of your phone calls. Don't go anywhere. Plenty more
- 29:29Speaker 1: stories coming through right now and just an update. I
- 29:32Speaker 1: got a text message from my parents already. About time.
- 29:36Speaker 1: OK, so, uh, TLDR, long story short, I actually have
- 29:39Speaker 1: a minor sprain from a paddle game yesterday, which sparked
- 29:43Speaker 1: off the conversation this morning, and Joakim had one or
- 29:45Speaker 1: two things to contribute as well. Have you ever gotten
- 29:47Speaker 1: injured doing something completely silly that doesn't even involve your
- 29:51Speaker 1: day job? Do not be surprised that when you go
- 29:53Speaker 1: home later on today, you'll see like a nice box
- 29:56Speaker 1: of TCM and all these medicine. I need right now.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Now it's like a wrap, like an ankle wrap or
- 30:03Speaker 1: compression thing, according to Chat GPT. So I guess now
- 30:07Speaker 1: that your mom is tuned in, she might get it
- 30:08Speaker 1: for you. I'm hopeful. I hope. Wanna say good morning
- 30:11Speaker 1: to username Min Krabapple on WhatsApp. Could be a Simpsons reference. Morning, Sojo.
- 30:17Speaker 1: I was just walking out of my room and I
- 30:19Speaker 1: just walked into the side of my wardrobe. The next
- 30:22Speaker 1: moment I can't, I couldn't lift my hand up anymore.
- 30:25Speaker 1: I went to a TCM.
- 30:27Speaker 1: They didn't even dare to do anything and advised me
- 30:29Speaker 1: to go to the A&E instead. So I had to
- 30:31Speaker 1: go queue at the A&E. So it turns out I
- 30:34Speaker 1: actually dislocated my shoulder by walking into a door. It
- 30:38Speaker 1: shocked everyone, myself included.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Yo, I mean, you know, it's these moments where we
- 30:43Speaker 1: just face palm, right? And we're like, how on earth
- 30:46Speaker 1: did this even happen? One more coming in from Gordon. Hey,
- 30:49Speaker 1: Sonia and Jokim, 2 years ago, I fell down while
- 30:52Speaker 1: cycling down slope. It happened so fast. There was bleeding
- 30:55Speaker 1: on my face, my hands, my legs. There was a
- 30:58Speaker 1: throbbing pain on my left knee after.
- 31:01Speaker 1: I recovered, there was a bump on my left knee.
- 31:04Speaker 1: A year later, I tripped down a flight of stairs
- 31:07Speaker 1: while walking on a bridge overseas and landed on that
- 31:10Speaker 1: exact bump. It exploded. It's been a year since the
- 31:15Speaker 1: double injury. I still have a bump on my left
- 31:17Speaker 1: knee till this day. They say lightning never strikes twice
- 31:20Speaker 1: at the same spot, huh?
- 31:23Speaker 1: Wait, did he ever get the bump checked? Yeah, Gordon,
- 31:25Speaker 1: I think it calls for like a proper checkup, like
- 31:29Speaker 1: a scan or something, MRI or X-ray. Yeah, OK, be careful, man.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Like sometimes the silliest thing, things can happen when you're
- 31:35Speaker 1: just walking to work or like walking to get lunch,
- 31:38Speaker 1: you know, that kind of stuff. And to runners with
- 31:41Speaker 1: your 2 coming up.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Very soon, make sure the shoe you're using gives your
- 31:47Speaker 1: foot good stability. Don't blindly go and buy all these
- 31:50Speaker 1: other branded shoes and realize, oh, it doesn't fit. Yeah, don't,
- 31:53Speaker 1: don't just go for aesthetic is what you mean. We've
- 31:56Speaker 1: got Zack on the line right now. Zach, what happened,
- 31:58Speaker 2: man? Can I use
- 31:59Speaker 2: a story about my friend?
- 32:00Speaker 1: Of course, please. You sure it's your friend, not you.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not me, it's not me. OK, so, uh, we,
- 32:07Speaker 2: so we went for this Indonesian Balinese massage. So, OK,
- 32:13Speaker 2: hold on, hold on, let me, let me finish the story.
- 32:15Speaker 2: So we went for this Indonesian massage, then, um, throughout
- 32:18Speaker 2: the massage, I, I, I hear my friend keep making
- 32:21Speaker 2: a lot of weird noises.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Are you OK over there? Turns out at the end
- 32:26Speaker 2: of the massage, he got himself a leg sprain. Yeah.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Then I am like, how did that even happen to you?
- 32:34Speaker 2: I don't know. My leg was OK, but after the massage,
- 32:36Speaker 2: it was not.
- 32:38Speaker 2: So he, he had to limp out of the massage
- 32:41Speaker 2: parlor at the end of the massage, and he continued
- 32:43Speaker 2: limping for the next 3 days until we finish our
- 32:44Speaker 2: vacation. Wait,
- 32:46Speaker 1: Zach, these are massage parlors you went to legit ones
- 32:49Speaker 1: or not or just anyhow one is legit,
- 32:52Speaker 2: very family friendly.
- 32:55Speaker 1: No,
- 32:55Speaker 2: we never
- 32:55Speaker 1: or not. We are asking whether they got good technique
- 32:57Speaker 1: or not properly trained and all.
- 33:01Speaker 2: I, I don't know. Maybe there's some, some metal that
- 33:04Speaker 2: they cracked cracked his leg, then he said he wasn't
- 33:07Speaker 2: feeling so good, but he didn't,
- 33:09Speaker 2: you know. Actually,
- 33:10Speaker 1: you know, I realized this about men, OK. You, you,
- 33:12Speaker 1: you can correct me if I'm wrong. Sometimes during massages, right,
- 33:16Speaker 1: I know my male friends, they just, even if it's
- 33:18Speaker 1: very pain, right, they won't say anything. No, no, no,
- 33:20Speaker 1: that's not me. The woman you massage me, I'll scream.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I don't have the right technique. You cannot compare.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Your elbow is terrible. But I realized this about men.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Sometimes maybe it's already painful, but he didn't want to say.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Just let them continue.
- 33:32Speaker 2: He was too shy to
- 33:33Speaker 2: say anything about it, you know, he just kept quiet
- 33:35Speaker 2: throughout the end of the day. Then he walked out
- 33:37Speaker 2: of the massage.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Why are you out Jeremy like that? I think we
- 33:42Speaker 1: got time to slip in the last couple of messages
- 33:44Speaker 1: before we wrap it up and award today's winner. Alright,
- 33:47Speaker 1: got one coming in from Raymond. OK, Morning, Sojo. My
- 33:51Speaker 1: worst injury was trying to do a bicycle trick down
- 33:54Speaker 1: the stairs in the neighborhood park. Expectation is always different
- 33:58Speaker 1: from reality and reality.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Oh no. I went home after and I'm trying to
- 34:04Speaker 1: hide it from my mom and I was only 10
- 34:05Speaker 1: years old back then. Long story short, the doctor told
- 34:08Speaker 1: my parents the impact of the fall was too huge
- 34:10Speaker 1: for someone my age, and my intestines shifted downwards and
- 34:14Speaker 1: out of place. Therefore, a surgical procedure is required to
- 34:18Speaker 1: put everything back in place. What? Wait, that was not
- 34:21Speaker 1: what I expected. Hold up very quickly. What happened? So
- 34:25Speaker 1: he really went for the surgery at 10 years old,
- 34:27Speaker 1: and he's OK now, I guess. Oh my God.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Guys, let's just not try to be heroes out here, OK? Like, honestly, I,
- 34:35Speaker 1: I am so irritated with myself for even letting this happen. I'm,
- 34:37Speaker 1: I'm very surprised nobody texted in saying we got injured
- 34:41Speaker 1: playing wrestling at home or in the school. That was me.
- 34:44Speaker 1: You're right, I knew. No, no, OK, I didn't get injured,
- 34:46Speaker 1: but my other friends who played among themselves. You mean
- 34:48Speaker 1: you didn't get injured while doing it yourself in your room, alone? No, no, really,
- 34:53Speaker 1: I was cut and flipping. No, I was OK. I
- 34:55Speaker 1: broke the bed though.
- 34:59Speaker 1: See, no wonder your mom just face palms at you
- 35:00Speaker 1: all the time. Panic so much. I'm sure. Anyway, um,
- 35:04Speaker 1: only one person is walking away with that beautiful Sunday
- 35:06Speaker 1: brunch experience at Stevens at Food Exchange for two. Only
- 35:11Speaker 1: because this poor fella was riding the Harry Potter ride
- 35:14Speaker 1: over at, I think Universal Studios Osaka, Japan, right? And
- 35:18Speaker 1: he got whiplash, lah. Yeah, and he couldn't turn his
- 35:20Speaker 1: neck for the rest of the trip. So I think
- 35:22Speaker 1: today we're gonna give it to Stir, well done.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Thank you so much for sharing. You know what, each
- 35:27Speaker 1: and every one of you came through with such hilarious stories.

- 36:44Speaker 1: So you know how maybe say for the last 2
- 36:47Speaker 1: or 3 years I've in a very loving way terrorized
- 36:50Speaker 1: you with croc designs? Yes.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Introducing the Lego and the Crocs collaboration. Oh my God,
- 36:57Speaker 1: it's the creativity. Sonia, look at that.
- 37:02Speaker 1: It is so nice. They got Lego designs at the bottom.
- 37:06Speaker 1: It's a black croc and and not only that, sold separately,
- 37:09Speaker 1: we can do an activity together. We can paste the gibbets.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Come on, Sonia. If you ever say gibbet again, gibbets.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Stop it. I'm unfriending you for life. Come on, can you, can,
- 37:22Speaker 1: can you please, when the song plays, can you please
- 37:23Speaker 1: do a small activity? Can we do it together, please?
- 37:28Speaker 1: And you're gonna wear it for the whole week and
- 37:28Speaker 1: then for the whole week. I can't wear it. I
- 37:30Speaker 1: got sprained ankle. Perfect, perfect.

- 40:17Speaker 1: the top being, it's a very good thing. Yeah, Alex,
- 40:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you a scenario, OK? Your, your friend
- 40:22Speaker 1: just shifted into a BTO and he or she needs
- 40:25Speaker 1: to do furniture shopping and all that.
- 40:27Speaker 1: And it's a Wednesday. Your friend suddenly cancels dinner plans
- 40:31Speaker 1: because she says, sorry, ah, today I got the court's
- 40:35Speaker 1: weekly Starbucks. I need to go down and see what's
- 40:37Speaker 1: on offer before it's gone. The question to you is,
- 40:42Speaker 1: is it over the top or not? Yes, it's over
- 40:46Speaker 1: the top. Alright, buddy, so why do you think it's
- 40:48Speaker 1: over the top? Because it's the best deal. With an

- 41:07Speaker 1: top with unbeatable deals at Kurz, shop in-store or visit.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Courts.com.sg. Today, got a quick question for you, Sonia. How
- 41:15Speaker 1: familiar are you with the Farrer Park area? Not familiar.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Quite near Little India. So my dad used to play
- 41:22Speaker 1: football at where some of the new BTOs are coming
- 41:25Speaker 1: up over the Farrer Park area, and I think on
- 41:28Speaker 1: Saturdays and Sundays, it could be a nice gathering place
- 41:32Speaker 1: for the migrant workers. But I think, uh, one resident
- 41:36Speaker 1: of the Farrer Park area.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Got quite a scare on a weekday morning because when
- 41:41Speaker 1: she was dropping her kid off to school, she looked
- 41:44Speaker 1: at the Farrer Park field and she saw a man
- 41:48Speaker 1: covered in white sleeping. Oh no. But at first glance
- 41:52Speaker 1: she thought, is that a dead body? Oh no, what
- 41:55Speaker 1: do I do? Because it's covered in white and then
- 41:57Speaker 1: upon closer look, she realized, oh, it's a man on
- 41:59Speaker 1: a blue, black, uh, blue backpack with a bottle of
- 42:03Speaker 1: water by his side sleeping sleeping. Oh no.
- 42:06Speaker 1: God, and this was at night. OK, I'm gonna show
- 42:08Speaker 1: a daytime, like early morning. So the picture, OK la, OK, yes,
- 42:12Speaker 1: from far it looks a little bit scary. It looks
- 42:14Speaker 1: a bit scary. Yes, yeah, OK, well, she was alert
- 42:16Speaker 1: at least, but, um, yeah, thankfully she had a good
- 42:19Speaker 1: laugh about it, and I want to give a shout
- 42:20Speaker 1: out to our good friend Siti Kahalija. Oh yes, where
- 42:23Speaker 1: on her Insta stories she posts, oh dear, she posted
- 42:27Speaker 1: a video of a tree, I think maybe outside the
- 42:29Speaker 1: place that she's at with a white cloth hanging, and
- 42:32Speaker 1: she goes, hey, taklaka.
- 42:37Speaker 1: If you know, you know. On that note, we're gonna
- 42:40Speaker 1: wrap it up here. We had such a, a morning
- 42:42Speaker 1: full of laughs. If you want to catch up with,
- 42:45Speaker 1: especially all the stories that came through about injuring yourself
- 42:48Speaker 1: in the silliest way possible, all inspired by my ankle,
- 42:52Speaker 1: please log on to me, listen on Spotify after the show. Hey,
- 42:54Speaker 1: so wait, Wednesday and Thursday I'm alone. Yes, where are
- 42:57Speaker 1: you going? It's only for 2 days. I'm just going
- 43:00Speaker 1: nearby for a work trip, OK? Are you meeting? No,
- 43:02Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 43:05Speaker 1: You think, you think if I'm meeting her, you won't
- 43:08Speaker 1: try to sneak into my luggage. You will.
