- 0:00Speaker 1: Listen. So we're rolling John parties in studio.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Hey, thanks for You're a busy dude, especially with an
- 0:04Speaker 2: album coming out, your dad husband doing a million things
- 0:07Speaker 2: that wants Thanks for hanging out. Yeah.
- 0:08Speaker 3: No, downtown and right now, Honky Tonkin, Well, let.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Me ask how often do you get downtown? Are you
- 0:14Speaker 1: a downtown Nashville guy?
- 0:16Speaker 3: I love downtown Nashville. It's it's definitely changed, but it's
- 0:21Speaker 3: still fun. I mean, I love that the fans love it. Yeah,
- 0:24Speaker 3: you know, and it gives It's a place that the
- 0:26Speaker 3: country music really calls home now with all the hoarse bars. Yeah,
- 0:30Speaker 3: I went to I went I Was That with Bob
- 0:32Speaker 3: Kid Rock and we went to his place afterwards, went
- 0:35Speaker 3: to dinner and went to his place afterwards. Didn't stay
- 0:37Speaker 3: out too late. We made it till midnight. It's pretty
- 0:39Speaker 3: good for new parents. Yeah, absolutely, And you know, we
- 0:42Speaker 3: got to just enjoy the lights and the people, and
- 0:47Speaker 3: I enjoy watching people having fun in the name of partying.
- 0:51Speaker 2: I uh, you reminded me of a saying I recently
- 0:53Speaker 2: saw if if if forty is the new thirty, then
- 1:01Speaker 2: nine pm is.
- 1:02Speaker 1: The new midnight.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's like I ain't trying to I'm here
- 1:05Speaker 2: for a good time. But like, if we could wrap
- 1:07Speaker 2: this thing up by about ten thirty, if I'm.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Not proud of myself if I make it to midnight,
- 1:12Speaker 3: I'm like, we made it to midnight.
- 1:14Speaker 2: That's is that is showtime different for you then now too,
- 1:17Speaker 2: Like cause you play for the most.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Part most venues, you go till about eleven ish, right.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Yeah, but the shows don't matter because I can stay.
- 1:23Speaker 3: I'll stay up to one, two the latest on the
- 1:26Speaker 3: show because I get to sleep in on the tour bus.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:29Speaker 3: So, but Holmes don't sleeping in. Presley's up ready to party.
- 1:34Speaker 3: So like we go to bed early at the house.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I love that man.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Where As we sit downtown, you're peeking out the window
- 1:39Speaker 2: here as the artist bar thing ever popped into conversation
- 1:42Speaker 2: for you.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Nobody ever emails me any with that ideas.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Because I was gonna say, it's like, oh yeah, but like,
- 1:49Speaker 2: you know, Jason's had a million number ones, Luke's had
- 1:51Speaker 2: a million number ones. You know, they've been around forever,
- 1:55Speaker 2: but now there's names like Laney, who's new to the scene,
- 1:57Speaker 2: Chilley Roll, who's lady.
- 1:59Speaker 3: They got them rocks. I'm on the train track still okay,
- 2:03Speaker 3: and I'm gonna I got a hell of a train
- 2:05Speaker 3: train steam engine, always on the climb. But I don't know.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I think it's too late, honestly and all honestly, I
- 2:12Speaker 3: think it's too late. I think it's burnt out. I
- 2:14Speaker 3: think the artists bars are great, but it's almost like
- 2:19Speaker 3: it's just you're just so many now there's no I
- 2:23Speaker 3: remember all characters. I get it, but it's just like,
- 2:26Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Does that cross your mind ever?
- 2:28Speaker 2: Or you like, Now, I'm happy, I got my lane,
- 2:30Speaker 2: I'm doing what I'm doing, I got the endorsements or whatever.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Man, I don't give one crap about having a bar. Yeah,
- 2:38Speaker 3: because I feel like I have so much further to
- 2:40Speaker 3: go in my career that I shouldn't be worried about
- 2:44Speaker 3: if I got a bar or not. Like I should
- 2:46Speaker 3: be worried about making the best record, which I did,
- 2:50Speaker 3: Honk and Talk Hollywood April eleventh, available everywhere. I shouldn't
- 2:55Speaker 3: be worried about what I'm gonna put in my bar.
- 2:57Speaker 1: That's a hell of a plug.
- 2:58Speaker 3: I know, if you want to be at a bar,
- 3:00Speaker 3: let's talk about it. You know, I have this Channel
- 3:01Speaker 3: bar idea called Tequila Little Time that has to be
- 3:04Speaker 3: on a channel in Florida. Oh I like that, so
- 3:07Speaker 3: but I want to own them. I want to own
- 3:08Speaker 3: the land. So yeah, Okay, gotta get make it happen.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Gotta find someplace. Man. I feel like a boat bar
- 3:14Speaker 3: would be way cooler.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I dig that.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Let's just say, if Riley Green can have a bar,
- 3:19Speaker 2: anybody can have a bar.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Well see it still? I mean, but Roy's like, girls
- 3:25Speaker 3: go to Riley Green's bar because that's where they're like, well,
- 3:27Speaker 3: it's his his bar, he should be here. Yeah, listen,
- 3:32Speaker 3: everybody's got a bar.
- 3:33Speaker 1: We'll get there. We'll you know what, I challenge you.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Uh, I'm gonna take it over the hard rock That's
- 3:38Speaker 3: why I let's do it. You watch hard Rock Cafe.
- 3:41Speaker 3: I'm coming after you.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I love that. Uh.
- 3:43Speaker 2: When it comes to this new album, uh, you're no
- 3:46Speaker 2: stranger to new country, but with with what you've put
- 3:49Speaker 2: into this project, are you?
- 3:51Speaker 1: How do you staye on party but.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Still like make sure it's new and sounds new? Does
- 3:55Speaker 2: that make sense?
- 3:57Speaker 3: Well? I mean you just got to pay attention to
- 3:58Speaker 3: what's going on and listen to your songwriters, listen to
- 4:01Speaker 3: songs that come in, write what you want. I feel
- 4:04Speaker 3: like I pay attention enough to know what's going on,
- 4:06Speaker 3: but also like I didn't really care and also don't care.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Don't care about what's going on. You think Morgan Wong
- 4:13Speaker 3: cared about what was going on. He didn't sound like
- 4:16Speaker 3: any I mean still though, I mean even Morgan, Like
- 4:19Speaker 3: I used Morgan lot because he's like the biggest thing
- 4:21Speaker 3: in country music. But Smile doesn't sound like anything he's done,
- 4:25Speaker 3: Like it doesn't. It's like he progresses himself and does
- 4:29Speaker 3: different things. That's what I did. I was like, well,
- 4:32Speaker 3: I'm gonna use Jay Joyce, like I'm gonna try something different,
- 4:34Speaker 3: and then it's but it's not, it's not still far
- 4:37Speaker 3: fetched to where you're now gonna listen to that record
- 4:40Speaker 3: and be like, oh, he went full Morgan Wall. It's like, no,
- 4:42Speaker 3: it's its own thing. It's it's still mean, but I
- 4:45Speaker 3: think it's just a little more like West Coast seventies
- 4:47Speaker 3: country rock and roll, which is pretty badass.
- 4:51Speaker 1: That's badass. I love that.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Uh, who are artists outside of Morgan that keep you
- 4:56Speaker 2: motivated to challenge yourself because you could easily you could
- 5:00Speaker 2: easily make every John Party record sound like the last
- 5:04Speaker 2: John Party record. I don't mean that in like an
- 5:05Speaker 2: insulting way, but like you, you have your groove right,
- 5:09Speaker 2: you have the place where you're comfortable. But when you
- 5:11Speaker 2: start putting music out on a bigger scale, it's almost
- 5:13Speaker 2: like you gotta you gotta leave your lane just a
- 5:16Speaker 2: little bit, right.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Yeah, but you don't. I mean you just you just
- 5:20Speaker 3: add one more lane, Okay. You know you got three
- 5:23Speaker 3: lanes out of four lane. Getting a little busy at
- 5:27Speaker 3: an extra lane, I don't know. You know, you got
- 5:31Speaker 3: guys like Zach Topp play with Zach. Dude's super talented.
- 5:35Speaker 3: He's like a voice like the past, like I thought.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Keith Whitley was singing next to me. He's so good, man,
- 5:41Speaker 3: He's so good. And you know, it's guys like him
- 5:45Speaker 3: that help guys like me. For a while, was like me, Cody,
- 5:53Speaker 3: Me and Cody still playing country music with like fiddle
- 5:58Speaker 3: and steel and and so it's had Justin Moore, you know,
- 6:03Speaker 3: Justin's always been there's a bunch of guys. That was
- 6:05Speaker 3: a good joke, but yeah, you know it's it helps
- 6:08Speaker 3: all of us in the long run, you know, cause
- 6:10Speaker 3: you got guys like Morgan, who's taking hip hop and
- 6:12Speaker 3: pop and making it super I mean, gee, three football
- 6:16Speaker 3: fields a night, and but you know Cody's playing football fields.
- 6:20Speaker 3: I mean so it's just like it helps the whole
- 6:22Speaker 3: circle of bringing everybody to get listens.
- 6:25Speaker 2: When it comes to creating that music. And this is
- 6:28Speaker 2: something that we asked Cody Johnson last time he was
- 6:30Speaker 2: in here. Because staying true to yourself, staying true to
- 6:34Speaker 2: your your country sound right, and not necessarily the sound
- 6:37Speaker 2: you make, but the sound you believe in that inspired
- 6:39Speaker 2: you to create. You could easily chase a hit, right,
- 6:43Speaker 2: you could easily pop on a backwards ball cap and
- 6:46Speaker 2: somebody could write some big old record and drop it
- 6:48Speaker 2: in your lap. Why is it important for you not
- 6:50Speaker 2: to do it that way, not to take something that
- 6:53Speaker 2: might be easy dropped in your lap, but like to
- 6:54Speaker 2: stay true to who john Party is.
- 6:56Speaker 3: I think when you stay true to yourself, you're true
- 6:58Speaker 3: to yourself at everything.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Okay, so whether you're like.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Working on a ranch, you got my cowboy hat to
- 7:07Speaker 3: live it, breathe it. You know, Cody's the same way.
- 7:10Speaker 3: He's he's always like rope. He lives in Texas, he
- 7:12Speaker 3: got he got the tech like everybody's got cowboy things
- 7:15Speaker 3: in Texas, and it's just like when you you're you're
- 7:18Speaker 3: that guy and everything you do. And I think that's
- 7:21Speaker 3: how you really stick to who you are without just
- 7:24Speaker 3: not just if you just stick to who that artist
- 7:26Speaker 3: is in music, then it becomes like, well, I got
- 7:29Speaker 3: to put my hat on or I got to transform
- 7:31Speaker 3: into this to be an artist when you're just like, no,
- 7:34Speaker 3: I'm the artist twenty four to seven. Except even I'm
- 7:37Speaker 3: even an artist. When I got my comfy's on, my
- 7:39Speaker 3: ug slippers, what's up?
- 7:41Speaker 2: You know?
- 7:41Speaker 3: Up? Put up in there? You come about come about
- 7:44Speaker 3: eight o'clock. You know, I'll be in my comfy clothes.
- 7:46Speaker 1: It's over the work.
- 7:48Speaker 3: The work clothes are hung up. But you know, I
- 7:52Speaker 3: feel like there's a lot of that. You know, you
- 7:54Speaker 3: just do. You're the artist? You who are? You? Are?
- 7:57Speaker 3: You are all the time, And I feel like if
- 8:00Speaker 3: you live it and breathe, it is true, it shows up.
- 8:03Speaker 3: And you're not afraid to stand for who you are
- 8:05Speaker 3: as an artist because it's you. It makes sense. I
- 8:08Speaker 3: think that makes sense.
- 8:09Speaker 2: It does for sure, because as a fan, it's easier
- 8:10Speaker 2: to connect with somebody who is authentic versus playing a character.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Whether a song is is massive or not, you can
- 8:17Speaker 2: tell if that person believes in it. Like we've talked
- 8:21Speaker 2: to different artists, like like Kenny Chesney passed on check
- 8:25Speaker 2: yes or no. He was offered it before George Straight
- 8:27Speaker 2: because he's like, it's just not me. Jake Owen was
- 8:30Speaker 2: offered Big Green tractor. He's like, I'm not a tractor guy. Yeah,
- 8:33Speaker 2: He's like, I don't own one. I've never written one.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Right, I mean he's missing the money he could.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Have been as I mean, it has a bad decision.
- 8:42Speaker 2: But when it comes to the authenticity, it also makes
- 8:45Speaker 2: it easier for fans to connect with you. Right, what's
- 8:50Speaker 2: been a cool fan story that you have from any
- 8:52Speaker 2: point in your career where maybe it kind of helps
- 8:54Speaker 2: you go, yeah, I'm in the right place at the
- 8:56Speaker 2: right time.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Man. I feel like recently, He've got a song called
- 8:59Speaker 3: She Drive a Way. It's on the new record and
- 9:01Speaker 3: it's a father daughter song and it's a tough father
- 9:05Speaker 3: dough song, but it's beautiful and it talks about, you know,
- 9:12Speaker 3: being in the delivery room and it's a full circlel moment.
- 9:16Speaker 3: It's like talks about me and you're you know, like say,
- 9:18Speaker 3: you meet Summer's dad and you ask her to marry
- 9:21Speaker 3: and then you have a little baby girl, and it's
- 9:22Speaker 3: like the circle, the circle life. No, it's it's not
- 9:27Speaker 3: like but you din to get it in this kind
- 9:28Speaker 3: of way. It's like it comes around you have a
- 9:29Speaker 3: baby girl, your own, and we put it out and
- 9:32Speaker 3: like the amount hundreds, mind not thousands yet it's still fresh,
- 9:37Speaker 3: but like of videos a sweet little baby baby girls
- 9:41Speaker 3: like being held for the first time and she drives
- 9:43Speaker 3: away is playing in the background and it's beautiful and
- 9:47Speaker 3: it's my first I feel like a lot of my
- 9:51Speaker 3: fans are like same age and we're growing up together
- 9:53Speaker 3: in the world and everybody's starting to have kids and
- 9:55Speaker 3: it's like it's their first time too, and they're using
- 9:58Speaker 3: this song and it's still spe sholing because normally I'm
- 10:02Speaker 3: like drink, party, party, dance, dance, dance, and it's like
- 10:05Speaker 3: different that come up with the family story and it
- 10:08Speaker 3: like means it's so special to like first time fathers
- 10:11Speaker 3: and stuff and so recently, like that's that that aspect
- 10:15Speaker 3: of like you know, I've been there and you just
- 10:18Speaker 3: kind of live life and your your music goes through
- 10:21Speaker 3: that and it kind of shows what I went through
- 10:23Speaker 3: and now everybody's going through it too. Is you know,
- 10:25Speaker 3: new baby girls come in the.
- 10:26Speaker 2: World when when the dad's stuff, you know, creeps over
- 10:31Speaker 2: into the work stuff because obviously dad is number one job, right.
- 10:35Speaker 2: What has been something that you're surprised you learned as
- 10:40Speaker 2: far as being a dad, And what's something that you've
- 10:42Speaker 2: been proud to watch your wife learn as far as motherhood?
- 10:47Speaker 3: Oh, summers, she's super mom, it feels like, but I
- 10:53Speaker 3: mean I just learned how to take care of the girls,
- 10:56Speaker 3: you know, and do everything you can. So if you
- 10:59Speaker 3: have to be alone with your kids, like you got it.
- 11:01Speaker 3: You know, some dads they're just like you don't leave
- 11:03Speaker 3: the kid alone with your dad, you know, Like hey,
- 11:06Speaker 3: so I really tried to learn that for summer and
- 11:09Speaker 3: for the children, and it's a lot. I mean I
- 11:12Speaker 3: ask a lot of questions Summer and she's like, yeah,
- 11:14Speaker 3: blah blah blah blah. But Summer is really good at
- 11:16Speaker 3: organizing just being like super mom and it really helps
- 11:19Speaker 3: have a great mom. Like summer when I'm on the
- 11:22Speaker 3: road constantly and I'm not constantly. We got a good schedule,
- 11:26Speaker 3: but still like we're gone three weeks sometimes and it's tough,
- 11:29Speaker 3: but it's just nice to have summer. But you know,
- 11:33Speaker 3: if we're gone that long, we do kind of meet
- 11:35Speaker 3: in the middle, so she'll come out and see me
- 11:36Speaker 3: and bring the girls. But definitely a team. It's definitely
- 11:40Speaker 3: a team thing have parents. And also shout out to
- 11:43Speaker 3: all the single parents out there too, because that's you know,
- 11:46Speaker 3: I couldn't imagine not having summer or you know, just
- 11:49Speaker 3: to have a break. So yeah, it's a it's definitely
- 11:54Speaker 3: a very difficult thing being parent but it's fun and
- 11:57Speaker 3: it's it's rewarding.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely it is.
- 12:01Speaker 2: When it comes to the parenting thing, how important is
- 12:04Speaker 2: it for you to get them on the road as
- 12:05Speaker 2: often as you can? And does that affect the schedule
- 12:08Speaker 2: that you make for yourself?
- 12:09Speaker 3: Now, well, you know, since I'm home a lot, I like,
- 12:11Speaker 3: you know, I like to get a couple days, you know,
- 12:15Speaker 3: Like it's like I went to Australia and I went
- 12:19Speaker 3: by myself. I relaxed the whole damn time.
- 12:23Speaker 1: They're like, what you.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Do in Australia. I said nothing. I stayed at the
- 12:26Speaker 3: hotel and I played the shows.
- 12:28Speaker 1: That's what I did there.
- 12:30Speaker 3: You go, I didn't do anything.
- 12:31Speaker 2: That's fantastic. When it comes to this new project, it's
- 12:35Speaker 2: fourteen songs, deep.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Right, who gave this guy information?
- 12:39Speaker 1: Seventeen seventeen? Sorry, sorry, seventeen songs.
- 12:42Speaker 3: I remember my first radio job.
- 12:45Speaker 2: When it comes to what they call them instant grat tracks, right,
- 12:49Speaker 2: that's just a label thing. But when it comes to
- 12:52Speaker 2: the songs that a fan gets early on the album
- 12:54Speaker 2: versus you know, here's the date and here's the rest,
- 12:57Speaker 2: how do you determine which songs those are gonna be?
- 12:59Speaker 3: Well, this was pretty easy. We had Friday O Heartbreaker.
- 13:02Speaker 3: That that was the first release that was also single,
- 13:06Speaker 3: and then oh it was that, and then it was
- 13:11Speaker 3: Hanky Talk California. That's the title track, so and it's
- 13:14Speaker 3: the badass songs. You get that out, you got the
- 13:16Speaker 3: title track. And the next it was Love the Lights Out,
- 13:19Speaker 3: which is like a superkin soulful, sexy song, and we
- 13:22Speaker 3: released out on Valentine's Day because it's a love song.
- 13:26Speaker 3: So that was like that went hand in hand. And
- 13:28Speaker 3: then she drives away as parents and fathers and little
- 13:32Speaker 3: baby girls. So everybody likes that song and that one
- 13:36Speaker 3: really did they start? I mean, I guess you picked
- 13:38Speaker 3: the ones that really generate and get people talking on
- 13:41Speaker 3: whatever day is it released, so especially putting like Love
- 13:45Speaker 3: the Lights Out on Valentine's Day. You know, I thought
- 13:48Speaker 3: this one been my favorite releases of a record so far.
- 13:51Speaker 1: You look, you look and sound very excited about it.
- 13:54Speaker 3: This is a great record I've had. It's been done
- 13:56Speaker 3: for eight months. I finished this July twenty twenty four.
- 14:01Speaker 3: This has been a test of patience to let me
- 14:03Speaker 3: tell you. Okay, well, I can't disres I think it
- 14:06Speaker 3: was eight months. But yeah, it's not my label's fault.
- 14:09Speaker 3: But it is my label's fault. But usually I don't
- 14:12Speaker 3: finish the album so quick. Since it was the first
- 14:15Speaker 3: time working with Jay it it got done really fast
- 14:21Speaker 3: because we just spent the whole month working on it.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Where the other ones, I'd go on and go tour
- 14:25Speaker 3: and I'd go do this, and I'd come back and
- 14:27Speaker 3: I'd be sick. It took forever to get the final vocals.
- 14:30Speaker 3: So whereas this you just did all one. I was
- 14:32Speaker 3: feeling good and so when the label wasn't ready, Hell,
- 14:35Speaker 3: I wasn't ready, and they're like, it's not my label's fault.
- 14:39Speaker 3: I take that back, But damn it have long release dates.
- 14:42Speaker 3: So we got a big ass label and then and
- 14:45Speaker 3: then twenty four was an election year. We didn't want
- 14:47Speaker 3: to be like oversight by all this stuff going on.
- 14:50Speaker 3: So April eleventh, Honkitong called it was available everywhere. But
- 14:54Speaker 3: that was that was kind of like where we met
- 14:56Speaker 3: in the middle. I was like, because they were trying
- 14:59Speaker 3: to get in, Like June, June broke my heart. I
- 15:01Speaker 3: was like, hell no, hell no, June, that is the
- 15:05Speaker 3: whole the whole year's done. June, mind, well just put
- 15:09Speaker 3: the Christmas record. Let's go to the Christmas too. Freaking June,
- 15:13Speaker 3: you kidding me?
- 15:15Speaker 1: The year's over At that point, I know.
- 15:17Speaker 3: I was like, well no, no, no, no no. We
- 15:19Speaker 3: wanted March. We got April. So love my label, Capitol
- 15:24Speaker 3: Records Universal. They let me be me. I'm telling you,
- 15:27Speaker 3: I got an r'd this record. It was my decision
- 15:31Speaker 3: to bring Jay in and just really just being full, creative, thinkful,
- 15:37Speaker 3: like everybody's been so like, do you think, John.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Why was it?
- 15:40Speaker 2: You said it was so easy to put together or
- 15:42Speaker 2: not so easy, but it fell together fashions than past records.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Is it because of a fresh voice, fresh eyes on
- 15:49Speaker 2: the project.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Or you were just more focused.
- 15:52Speaker 3: No, I mean it's uh, you know when I asked Jay,
- 15:55Speaker 3: I I had like a month and a half to
- 15:57Speaker 3: do the record, and Jay Joyce owns his own studios,
- 16:02Speaker 3: so we didn't have you know, next week somebody knocking
- 16:05Speaker 3: at the black door. D liked ding ding ding D
- 16:08Speaker 3: Come on, get out of here. We gotta record my record.
- 16:11Speaker 3: It was like, now we had all this time. We
- 16:14Speaker 3: recorded two songs a day, and also which was really cool,
- 16:17Speaker 3: and also in that magic moment, we sang final vocals
- 16:21Speaker 3: that day, so like once we got done, brand new,
- 16:24Speaker 3: just making this song, never play it, you know, just
- 16:27Speaker 3: brand new to the little baby song boom final vocals.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Wrong was that it being born boom to the world.
- 16:36Speaker 3: And like Jay's studios, it's an old church, so it's
- 16:39Speaker 3: like it's all kinds of stuff, the neon Cross and
- 16:42Speaker 3: we had so like we had so much time to
- 16:44Speaker 3: really take our time, and then we were in the
- 16:46Speaker 3: studio all day. So when I was saying I wasn't traveling,
- 16:50Speaker 3: I wasn't bush hogging. I wasn't out like chainsawing, you know,
- 16:54Speaker 3: kidding allergies up. I wasn't like feeding the cows.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Hey, like I was.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Literally just in the studio, so it kept me like
- 17:02Speaker 3: super healthy for vocals, and we just knocked it out.
- 17:07Speaker 3: It was a really great experience.
- 17:10Speaker 2: As you look at the seventeen songs, because we'll edit,
- 17:14Speaker 2: we'll edit the first I don't know why I thought fourteen.
- 17:17Speaker 1: We were just looking at it a minute ago. I
- 17:19Speaker 1: looked at you like it was your fault the last song.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Did you see that?
- 17:22Speaker 2: Though? I go fourteen, you go seventeen, and I looked
- 17:24Speaker 2: over like he was her fault. I'm like, thanks, roll,
- 17:29Speaker 2: it's always my fault. I rolled a car over daily.
- 17:31Speaker 3: One thing. Don't blame the girl, Yeah, no.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I don't. I never.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I never Yeah much of that. Yeah, you looked right
- 17:38Speaker 3: at me and blame me.
- 17:39Speaker 2: No, he don't leave me alone. The last thing I
- 17:44Speaker 2: want to ask, because I know you got to run
- 17:45Speaker 2: and it's going to be the pick your favorite baby story,
- 17:48Speaker 2: what's as you look at the seventeen tracks, what is
- 17:51Speaker 2: the one that stands out here like damn, I can't
- 17:53Speaker 2: believe that I get I get to call that song
- 17:55Speaker 2: mine and I know you're proud of the whole project,
- 17:58Speaker 2: and I'm sure there's other songs that didn't make it
- 17:59Speaker 2: maybe here later, But out of this project, is there
- 18:02Speaker 2: one that you're like, that's wow?
- 18:03Speaker 3: I thought, I mean I thought that one for songwriting wise,
- 18:06Speaker 3: She Drives Away. I mean it's just a really well
- 18:09Speaker 3: written song, great story, and that was when I was like, man,
- 18:12Speaker 3: that's just cool that I get to have that as
- 18:14Speaker 3: my song and it is my song because our you know,
- 18:18Speaker 3: we made it so much just like a the way
- 18:23Speaker 3: it's recorded, it's almost it's so cinemous. It's like cinematic
- 18:26Speaker 3: the way it's recorded. I know that sounds funny because
- 18:29Speaker 3: cinematic mainly like visual, but like for the Ears, it's
- 18:32Speaker 3: like it paints this storyline in it and it's just
- 18:36Speaker 3: really pretty. And that was one of those that I'm
- 18:40Speaker 3: proud to call mine especially, and it's like fresh, I'm
- 18:44Speaker 3: fresh dad. I used to do the heart heartbreak beer
- 18:47Speaker 3: drinking tunes. This one's like I go to baby Girl
- 18:49Speaker 3: now and everybody's got a baby girl, so it's it's new.
- 18:53Speaker 2: You know, let's go, well, the new album is coming,
- 18:56Speaker 2: and make sure you listen to all seventeen seventeen of
- 18:59Speaker 2: the songs GIPT, the three that tated Yeah, just kidding,
- 19:03Speaker 2: Tom Party, thank you brother, thank you
