• 0:51
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
• 0:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I've been kind of like in my computer all day, I have like work, other work like looming over me today.
• 0:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I had to cut down a whole eight hour
• 1:06
[SPEAKER_01]: not episode, but like I had eight and a half hours of footage that I have to cut down to at least like forty minutes.
• 1:14
  [SPEAKER_00]: What footage is that?
• 1:15
  [SPEAKER_00]: What kind of footage?
• 1:16
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's from Lisbon.
• 1:18
[SPEAKER_01]: It's from the Lisbon retreat that I attended.
• 1:21
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's for the YouTube video.
• 1:24
[SPEAKER_01]: And I just didn't realize that I filmed like eight hours and a half worth of footage.
• 1:29
  [SPEAKER_01]: Actually it was more.
• 1:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like almost nine.
• 1:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean that's a good thing.
• 1:33
  [SPEAKER_01]: How's that a good thing?
• 1:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's a good thing.
• 1:35
[SPEAKER_00]: It's always better to have more than less.
• 1:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I think it took it too far.
• 1:38
[SPEAKER_01]: We're like, I'm always paranoid that I'm not going to have enough, but I think this is like, paranoid to the next level.
• 1:44
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 1:45
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 1:45
  [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah.
• 1:47
  [SPEAKER_01]: So I am I'm I'm good to chat.
• 1:48
  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm good to chat.
• 1:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just get right into it, right?
• 1:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back to the Worcestershire podcast.
• 1:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I am Alia Zaita, if you forgot, or if this is your first time listening to the pod, and I'm over here with my life partner, business partner, roommate, best friend, bestie, husband.
• 2:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Hi, my name is Jo.
• 2:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's appropriate for this episode.
• 2:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I hope I'm saying all right.
• 2:23
  [SPEAKER_01]: Joan.
• 2:24
  [SPEAKER_00]: Joan.
• 2:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: Joan.
• 2:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm a bunch of people out there guys, this is my name.
• 2:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like you should say the end more.
• 2:30
  [SPEAKER_01]: Joan.
• 2:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: Joan.
• 2:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: Joan.
• 2:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that was good.
• 2:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: That was good.
• 2:36
[SPEAKER_01]: I might be totally wrong, but uh, yeah.
• 2:39
  [SPEAKER_01]: Obrigada for being here.
• 2:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: Well, yes.
• 2:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much.
• 2:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: Obrigado for being here.
• 2:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: Seriously.
• 2:44
[SPEAKER_01]: I have to say my part.
• 2:47
[SPEAKER_01]: And guys, we have so many things to get into about this trip, because it was actually, it was really long.
• 2:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Like we ended up being here.
• 2:55
[SPEAKER_01]: We were looking for like five days.
• 2:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted to like stuff.
• 2:57
[SPEAKER_00]: We were like, I'm really hot right now.
• 2:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Can we eat it like?
• 3:01
[SPEAKER_01]: How can you be so hot?
• 3:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Every time you're hot, I respect it.
• 3:05
[SPEAKER_00]: But then every time I'm hot, it's like, you're questioning why I'm hot.
• 3:08
[SPEAKER_01]: It makes no sense because I just turned off the AC and the AC said there was sixty degrees in here.
• 3:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so then okay, but when you're hot or cold, what do I, what do I ever say?
• 3:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, okay, babe.
• 3:19
[SPEAKER_00]: So what we got to do, you want to open a window, you want to turn this off, but whenever I feel anything, you're like, how big?
• 3:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I just don't want to turn on the AC because it's so loud.
• 3:27
[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel like I can't hear you talk.
• 3:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 3:30
[SPEAKER_01]: So do you want to open the window?
• 3:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just going to be hot.
• 3:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the window is actually louder.
• 3:34
[SPEAKER_00]: If you open it with all the working outside, it's actually loud.
• 3:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, well, turn the AC in.
• 3:37
[SPEAKER_00]: They see on just real quick.
• 3:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much.
• 3:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, he's currently getting up for the AC.
• 3:46
[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, don't even put it down all the way to like, sixty.
• 3:49
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you can put it as like, sixty two big difference.
• 3:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: I welcome back.
• 3:56
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how it's possible that you and I have such different body temperatures like we run at completely different levels.
• 4:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: Your blood is hot.
• 4:08
[SPEAKER_00]: like when when Alice sleeping and not touched like her arm, like you feel like there's just heat in her body.
• 4:15
[SPEAKER_01]: But what's crazy is that doesn't make sense now.
• 4:17
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like why do you want heart and I'm not heart.
• 4:20
[SPEAKER_01]: If I'm like running heart.
• 4:21
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 4:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
• 4:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I wanted to, since you guys, there is no video.
• 4:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 4:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess I think you guys already know that, but I'm wearing this very special shirt right now.
• 4:31
  [SPEAKER_01]: You're wearing a very special shirt.
• 4:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm wearing a very special shirt.
• 4:35
  [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
• 4:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Have you noticed what shirt it is?
• 4:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I guess I'm looking at it right now, yeah.
• 4:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, cool.
• 4:40
  [SPEAKER_00]: Lupita Pizzeria.
• 4:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so in order today.
• 4:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know.
• 4:48
  [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's just a shirt.
• 4:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I love buying merch from places in like companies and brands and it can be corny.
• 4:54
[SPEAKER_00]: It could be super random.
• 4:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I like to have that shirt.
• 4:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to tell us what Lupita pizza is?
• 5:00
  [SPEAKER_00]: Lupita pizza is.
• 5:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Because we're not there yet.
• 5:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Like you're skipping so many like steps in these stories.
• 5:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 5:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me just skip ahead a little bit.
• 5:08
[SPEAKER_00]: But this is Lupita pizza and Lisbon.
• 5:11
[SPEAKER_00]: One of the greatest pizzas I've had in my life in my little life.
• 5:15
  [SPEAKER_01]: You would say.
• 5:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's up there.
• 5:17
[SPEAKER_00]: No act like it's not up there.
• 5:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: We gon' get there.
• 5:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: We gon' get there.
• 5:19
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's quite good.
• 5:20
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 5:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and when we were there, Yoni saw all the, all the people working on the restaurant wearing these shirts.
• 5:27
  [SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
• 5:28
[SPEAKER_01]: First thought he had is,
• 5:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Do they sell these shirts?
• 5:32
[SPEAKER_01]: This is like classic yoni.
• 5:33
[SPEAKER_01]: We go to a coffee shop.
• 5:35
[SPEAKER_01]: We go to pizza spot.
• 5:36
[SPEAKER_01]: We go to like anywhere actually anywhere that like sells merch when we're traveling.
• 5:42
[SPEAKER_01]: It's usually a coffee shop or like one of those casual style restaurants when we're in Kyoto.
• 5:48
[SPEAKER_01]: I remember we went to a coffee shop and you
• 5:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I bought a mug that said like Kyoto coffee company something like that and you were looking at the t-shirts like you're always looking because you just want some shit to say like either like made in something or like from this or established in this country or city
• 6:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I just like to have something that you can only purchase if you're in there.
• 6:12
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I get that.
• 6:13
  [SPEAKER_01]: I get that.
• 6:14
  [SPEAKER_01]: So you bought this.
• 6:15
  [SPEAKER_01]: It was so funny.
• 6:16
[SPEAKER_01]: You bought this t-shirt from the pizza spot when we were like having the dessert.
• 6:21
[SPEAKER_00]: No, the guy was like the guy was serving us and stuff like that.
• 6:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if that is sure.
• 6:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just like, hey, can I ask you a question?
• 6:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have some of these shirts actually?
• 6:28
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know if they'd sell them, but I knew that they had them like up on the wall.
• 6:32
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 6:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Some, oh, do you guys sell these?
• 6:34
[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, yeah, and I was just like, yeah, how much?
• 6:36
[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, twenty dollars.
• 6:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, okay, can I get one?
• 6:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And then he went to the back and she and then he was like, yeah, we don't, we don't have any shirts left.
• 6:45
[SPEAKER_00]: The ones that are on the wall are the last ones.
• 6:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And they were like three of them.
• 6:48
[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, they've been sitting there.
• 6:50
[SPEAKER_00]: So first thing, I'm thinking, okay, cool, let me just grab one, right?
• 6:53
  [SPEAKER_00]: What size is it?
• 6:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Large.
• 6:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, okay, perfect.
• 6:56
[SPEAKER_00]: grabs it with a long stick.
• 6:59
[SPEAKER_00]: People probably are looking at like, oh, who bought these?
• 7:01
[SPEAKER_00]: He's buying this shirt with all the like pizza smoke on it, right?
• 7:05
  [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that and also it's like who's just buying a t-shirt?
• 7:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Like when they're having dinner at a peteria, you know?
• 7:11
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, you just, I don't know.
• 7:13
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's just like, you're that guy that buys a t-shirt.
• 7:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Like most of the people look and they're like, damn, who would even buy this t-shirt?
• 7:20
  [SPEAKER_00]: Don't care.
• 7:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll like this to you, sure.
• 7:21
  [SPEAKER_00]: I actually crafted a little bit.
• 7:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's nice.
• 7:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: What does it say?
• 7:24
[SPEAKER_00]: When in Lisbon, Lupita, Petaria, and then in the back it has like a slimy cheesy pizza.
• 7:31
  [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's a slimy?
• 7:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: Why not?
• 7:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Slimy is like not a positive.
• 7:35
  [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, flavor.
• 7:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: Melty.
• 7:37
  [SPEAKER_01]: Meltingy.
• 7:38
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:38
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:38
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:39
  [SPEAKER_01]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:39
  [SPEAKER_01]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:40
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:48
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:48
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:50
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:53
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:55
  [SPEAKER_01]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:56
  [SPEAKER_01]: Meltingy, yeah.
• 7:56
  [SPEAKER_01]: Meltingy,
• 7:57
[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, yeah, definitely watched because I don't know how long that's been up there.
• 8:02
[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably been up there ever since they made those shirts.
• 8:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 8:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Like they made those shirts and those are the ones that they sampled like all let's put those up.
• 8:09
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the display, right?
• 8:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's been up the place since they made these shirts.
• 8:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's a good idea.
• 8:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 8:16
[SPEAKER_00]: If you go to Lupita today, if you live in Lisbon or Portugal or next time you visit there, go to Lupita and look up on the wall.
• 8:24
[SPEAKER_00]: If you see two shirts, just know there are three shirts and I bought the third one.
• 8:28
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
• 8:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 8:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but okay, let's get into, I want to talk about
• 8:34
[SPEAKER_01]: the apartment we stayed okay we ended up splitting our stay between two different apartments because I later when I was like doing research it wasn't until later in my research that I found this really nice like two bedroom top floor skylight beautifully decorated like if they would be the they couldn't be a more perfectly decorated place it was like the the ceilings were
• 9:05
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you call it?
• 9:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Like the ceilings were like, what's the word?
• 9:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's in the it's down the top floor.
• 9:11
  [SPEAKER_01]: So they're roof.
• 9:12
  [SPEAKER_01]: They're vaulted.
• 9:13
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 9:14
[SPEAKER_00]: They're vaulted ceilings because vaulted for the people who don't really speak English that well, what does vaulted mean?
• 9:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Google it because it's like, it's like a triangle.
• 9:21
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's like a triangle shape.
• 9:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because you're at the roof.
• 9:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 9:25
[SPEAKER_01]: So then like there's windows in the vaulted ceiling, which is the roof.
• 9:30
[SPEAKER_01]: So then they're kind of like sideways on an angle.
• 9:32
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 9:33
[SPEAKER_01]: And then that lets in beautiful light.
• 9:36
[SPEAKER_01]: So there was windows like all around the apartment.
• 9:39
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was just like beautifully decorated.
• 9:43
[SPEAKER_01]: And everything was like wooled, but it was like used what it wasn't new.
• 9:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that apartment was new.
• 9:48
[SPEAKER_01]: No, nothing in it was new.
• 9:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Everything was like used to have been there or just somewhere else and they took it from somewhere.
• 9:55
  [SPEAKER_01]: Totally.
• 9:58
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was like you could just tell I'm so curious to somebody actually like lives in there or not because in the like on the
• 10:07
[SPEAKER_01]: like house manual it said like please be careful like somebody this is like someone's home but i don't know if they just said that because i i don't think so i think so it looked very lived in
• 10:20
[SPEAKER_01]: It did look, but it could also be like just, that's the difference between like Airbnb and Europe and then Airbnb's in like the US.
• 10:28
[SPEAKER_01]: It's actually a joke how Airbnb's are decorated here.
• 10:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe there's some in Europe like that too, I don't know.
• 10:35
[SPEAKER_01]: But here it's like you have literally just like no care or thought put into the decor.
• 10:42
[SPEAKER_01]: It's all just IKEA furniture and the most like basic, you have like two forks.
• 10:49
[SPEAKER_01]: you have like there's no character there's no like this is that's definitely not someone's home that's like someone bought it and they just wanted to make it into an Airbnb and they gave less of a shit like yeah no I totally agree with that but I disagree a little bit with the IQ slander why
• 11:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody should have an all IKEA only house period.
• 11:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Where you can just tell that they bought everything from IKEA and then they have like colorful like pillows and like everything is just like basic.
• 11:20
[SPEAKER_00]: It depends where in life you are, I think.
• 11:23
[SPEAKER_00]: To some people IKEA is the best is the most affordable.
• 11:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking about as an Airbnb, like I don't want to see an Airbnb that looks like everything's from IKEA, that's what I'm saying.
• 11:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 11:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: Not get that.
• 11:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I want to see like some frames on the wall that aren't like stock photos.
• 11:38
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
• 11:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Like just some books or something like books that have been read.
• 11:43
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 11:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, if you listen to this and you work at IKEA, shout out to you, okay?
• 11:48
  [SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
• 11:48
[SPEAKER_01]: No, hey, we have a kiss in this house.
• 11:50
[SPEAKER_01]: You always think that I'm talking shit about IKEA.
• 11:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking shit about the people that only buy IKEA only.
• 11:57
[SPEAKER_01]: And don't like go find like an old something from somewhere.
• 12:01
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 12:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: Then I get it.
• 12:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: I get what you're saying.
• 12:05
  [SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm saying.
• 12:07
[SPEAKER_01]: But this department was amazing.
• 12:08
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're curious, it was in the principale.
• 12:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's how you call it principale, principale.
• 12:16
[SPEAKER_00]: But he's probably like plingy pay.
• 12:18
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
• 12:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Because also listen, when we were in, on this entire trip, right, we were trying to figure out how to pronounce anything.
• 12:27
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like usually when I'm reading Italian or like Spanish, those two are quite easy to pronounce because you, someone read them as they're written, you know?
• 12:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: Especially Spanish.
• 12:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know by Italian accent.
• 12:45
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just you got to know how to like emphasize on like which syllable.
• 12:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I know, but in Spanish you don't you don't got to know shit.
• 12:51
[SPEAKER_00]: You just got to read.
• 12:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly.
• 12:52
[SPEAKER_00]: If you know how to read, you can reach Spanish.
• 12:53
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
• 12:54
[SPEAKER_01]: You just got to put a little Spanish vibe to it.
• 12:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Just guess what the vibe would be.
• 12:59
[SPEAKER_01]: But with Portuguese, it was not like that at all.
• 13:04
[SPEAKER_01]: And there were many times in my YouTube video where I like mispronounced a lot of things.
• 13:11
[SPEAKER_01]: And then if I did go Google, like, you know, how to pronounce something, Google would give you the Brazilian Portuguese translation or like pronunciation, which is very different than Portuguese from Portugal.
• 13:27
[SPEAKER_01]: So that was a little tough.
• 13:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 13:29
[SPEAKER_01]: That was a little tough there.
• 13:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why I was some reason, and I know it's not.
• 13:34
[SPEAKER_00]: But Spanish and Portuguese, I thought they were similar, but they're not.
• 13:37
[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't know why grown up thinking, oh, yeah, it's neighborhood countries by the same.
• 13:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because there's like, you know, there's influence probably, there's a lot of like, you know, food and stuff that similar, like just similar vibes, because they are neighboring countries.
• 13:53
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 13:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to talk about when we arrived in Lisbon.
• 14:00
[SPEAKER_01]: In the airport, it was daytime.
• 14:02
[SPEAKER_01]: We got there at like ten.
• 14:03
[SPEAKER_01]: We got out of the airport around like noon.
• 14:08
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think we got to our apartment at like one p.m.
• 14:11
[SPEAKER_01]: And we were able to like go directly to like check in.
• 14:17
[SPEAKER_01]: And you guys were so tired.
• 14:19
  [SPEAKER_00]: We were so tired.
• 14:19
[SPEAKER_00]: But before we even got up to the airport, I just gonna say this, we are on was that fourth floor face floor.
• 14:26
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, that's the thing.
• 14:27
[SPEAKER_01]: I was confused in the, like, here the first floor is like the first floor after going up a floor.
• 14:34
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 14:34
[SPEAKER_01]: But in Europe, the first floor is the second floor.
• 14:40
[SPEAKER_01]: So like, if you go up a flight one flight of stairs, that's the second floor.
• 14:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'll get you.
• 14:45
[SPEAKER_01]: And the first floor is like the ground floor.
• 14:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 14:48
[SPEAKER_01]: So we were on the top.
• 14:51
[SPEAKER_01]: You might have been the fourth or the fifth.
• 14:52
[SPEAKER_00]: And the way up there seemed like it was like on the tenth floor, I think, because it was just like carrying like the luggage is up there.
• 15:00
  [SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't.
• 15:00
[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, you know, it was carrying that shit.
• 15:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, it wasn't fun, but once we got up there, I'm like, okay, cool.
• 15:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I know we're gonna be up in this apartment for a minute.
• 15:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to take my nap.
• 15:11
  [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
• 15:12
[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, okay, part of the story.
• 15:16
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, like, what you're getting into.
• 15:17
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, I just wanted to say that going up to stairs and then trying to open up the door was like the hardest thing.
• 15:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, remember how we can open the door?
• 15:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, the door was, it was like old school, like, this building was old, but it was like, it was nice.
• 15:31
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 15:32
[SPEAKER_01]: But then you have like no elevator, you know, it's like picking shoes, your picking shoes, your bottles.
• 15:36
[SPEAKER_01]: I also feel like in lesbian, they probably have no new buildings.
• 15:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I haven't seen any.
• 15:41
  [SPEAKER_01]: No.
• 15:42
  [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't think there's any elevators.
• 15:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, that's not true.
• 15:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: There's no elevators.
• 15:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know, I would be, I would be curious to, to see, like a new, like, what is like an office building look like?
• 15:56
  [SPEAKER_01]: Because I didn't see any.
• 15:57
[SPEAKER_01]: No, everything just looked like old, but in a good way.
• 16:01
[SPEAKER_00]: No, and the most perfect, beautiful way.
• 16:03
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not like I didn't want.
• 16:04
[SPEAKER_01]: It would be such an eye source to see like a random like glass building or something.
• 16:08
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 16:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but yeah, you're saying we got to the Airbnb.
• 16:12
[SPEAKER_01]: You only want to tell you about this crazy, crazy nap.
• 16:16
[SPEAKER_01]: What are the craze-naps probably of his life?
• 16:19
  [SPEAKER_00]: You think so?
• 16:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I, it looked like that outside.
• 16:23
[SPEAKER_00]: And the outside, well, let me tell you, this is very true.
• 16:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know what happened right before this nap, but I just remember laying down on the bed.
• 16:33
[SPEAKER_00]: We opened up all the windows in apartments, so the the wind was circulating through our apartment like a tornado.
• 16:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was a crazy breeze.
• 16:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just like, this is exactly what I need.
• 16:43
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was hot outside too.
• 16:44
[SPEAKER_01]: So we had been like sweating, trying to like figure out like which building it is, carrying the luggage, then you only want upstairs with the luggage.
• 16:52
  [SPEAKER_01]: So it's like it's been a, it's been a telltime.
• 16:54
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is like post travel, you know?
• 16:56
[SPEAKER_01]: And we already, we got there like in the middle of the day in Lisbon.
• 17:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like it's nighttime and we can relax.
• 17:04
[SPEAKER_01]: There's potential left in the day to like go outside and do stuff.
• 17:08
[SPEAKER_00]: There was a lot of potential.
• 17:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like, especially because it's light there for quite a while.
• 17:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 17:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, I took the nap.
• 17:14
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't, how long was it?
• 17:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, like two hours.
• 17:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, to me, that's a good nap.
• 17:19
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't really take nap.
• 17:19
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, like two hours is a nap.
• 17:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Two hours is a nap.
• 17:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, thirty minutes to me is not a nap.
• 17:24
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, thirty minutes.
• 17:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just getting to the party.
• 17:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, thirty minutes is like, like, cool, this is what we're doing right now.
• 17:30
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know, did we, I don't remember talking about it.
• 17:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I was not planning on napping.
• 17:36
[SPEAKER_01]: I was planning on staying up so that I could like go to sleep, you know, with everybody there.
• 17:43
[SPEAKER_01]: But then little did I know, I'd go over to the, there was two bedrooms.
• 17:47
  [SPEAKER_01]: So I was like, I'm packing.
• 17:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I was putting away my things.
• 17:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I was taking like photos in the apartment, all that stuff.
• 17:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I go to, you know, there's this whole time I'm out.
• 17:58
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I go to like Yoni's room and he is asleep like hard like deep and he has like his shirt on but it's like pulled up you know and then he's like his stomach is like out and he's like spread with like his legs are just like he's all over that bed, right?
• 18:18
[SPEAKER_01]: And there's like, yeah, your arms are like above your head.
• 18:21
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, someone is sleeping good when their arms are like above their head.
• 18:24
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 18:25
[SPEAKER_01]: And the light, like the sun was like shining in, but because there was a breeze too, because all the windows were open, it was like not too hard and you was like sleeping.
• 18:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 18:37
  [SPEAKER_01]: So good.
• 18:38
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was amazing.
• 18:38
[SPEAKER_01]: So then I laid next to you and I was like, okay, let me like sleep for a little bit.
• 18:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Because that not looked good.
• 18:42
[SPEAKER_00]: You were like, damn, let me get some of that.
• 18:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah and I was tired you know because like at that time it's I don't even know what it has been like people have been sleeping this whole time back home and I think I slept for like thirty minutes or so to then I woke up because I was like I want to like go outside I want to see like what's going on you know I'm big on not wasting the travel time yeah I know that I know that
• 19:09
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, trying to wake your ass up, but it's not working.
• 19:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, when you only, that's one thing is it's really hard to wake you up.
• 19:18
  [SPEAKER_01]: Like, you're so unwakable.
• 19:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I take my sleep seriously.
• 19:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you waking up, I think I got I wake up.
• 19:26
[SPEAKER_01]: If you tell me that KV, like we got to go is like I wake up.
• 19:29
[SPEAKER_01]: But you have to wake you up like seven times before you actually like get in a wake up.
• 19:35
[SPEAKER_00]: It depends on the activity, but we're not going to go with it, okay?
• 19:38
  [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we did.
• 19:39
[SPEAKER_00]: It depends on the activity.
• 19:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay.
• 19:42
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that was amazing.
• 19:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: Cool.
• 19:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I wake up and I was like, you know, let's just go outside and you weren't filming that first day.
• 19:51
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I've decided that that's just my thing.
• 19:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I never filmed the first day like that.
• 19:57
[SPEAKER_01]: because then you get to really have the first day to yourself, you get to get, you know, you get to have the experience, the lay of the land without feeling like you have to be, you know, like, time people share where that, you don't even know shit yet, you know?
• 20:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm about to tell you something and I'm just like, I don't even know where we're working with.
• 20:14
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know.
• 20:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Like what you're talking about?
• 20:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I was recording either.
• 20:18
[SPEAKER_01]: No, the first thing we needed was food.
• 20:20
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, definitely.
• 20:21
[SPEAKER_00]: So, uh... Do you remember the first thing we ate the first?
• 20:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, meal we had.
• 20:27
  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm Alia.
• 20:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that even a question?
• 20:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 20:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I remember everything we ate the name of it.
• 20:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: What is it called?
• 20:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: The first one.
• 20:32
  [SPEAKER_01]: We went to Bonshardine.
• 20:34
[SPEAKER_00]: And I would remember that.
• 20:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and it's like, uh, I guess like in Portugal, this Perry Perry, like, retissory chicken style thing is like what they call like their fast food there.
• 20:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, in the sense that it's just like it's a classic like go to
• 20:58
[SPEAKER_01]: You have it like all the time.
• 21:00
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's relatively cheap.
• 21:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know for my research like that's that's kind of what I'm just said by it.
• 21:05
[SPEAKER_01]: But we went and it was let me tell you about something about this trip is somehow we got so lucky with lines.
• 21:13
[SPEAKER_01]: This is the first time I've ever traveled anywhere where somehow we've arrived at every spot we went to before there was a line.
• 21:22
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the place that was kind of like at the end of a hill, right?
• 21:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it was like okay.
• 21:26
[SPEAKER_01]: And there was nobody in line.
• 21:29
[SPEAKER_01]: And there was like three tables that were open.
• 21:34
  [SPEAKER_01]: Outside, mind you.
• 21:36
[SPEAKER_01]: And we just like walk up.
• 21:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I think maybe there was like a party that was like waiting to be sat.
• 21:40
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 21:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And they got sat and then it was our turn and then I think we had maybe just like just put our order in where we got like the classic chicken with the sides fries all that stuff And then little do you know there's like people starting to line up and while we're eating the line gets so long It says it's like everybody had a group chat and they were like all right, well, let's go now
• 22:04
[SPEAKER_01]: that we're going right now.
• 22:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 22:06
[SPEAKER_01]: And if we would have slept a little bit longer or taken longer to get ready or something, we would have been in the back of that line.
• 22:11
[SPEAKER_01]: We would have been in that line.
• 22:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And the thing about lines, especially like when you're traveling too, because maybe not that day, but in general, like when you're traveling, you're walking a lot, you're like trying to see a bunch of things.
• 22:23
[SPEAKER_01]: And then you have to like wait in line.
• 22:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's like I'm wasting my time.
• 22:26
[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm traveling and I'm setting a line like I could be seeing some new things.
• 22:29
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
• 22:30
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's something that I feel like, was it in Japan?
• 22:32
[SPEAKER_01]: In Japan, we were in lines quite a bit.
• 22:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we were.
• 22:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Especially for that pizza line.
• 22:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Like we were trying to get that pizza one night and it would go in Japan.
• 22:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, actually, I think it might be the only place in Lisbon that we waited in line for real for like an hour.
• 22:49
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was for Lupita pizza.
• 22:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, that was definitely an hour.
• 22:53
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was worth it.
• 22:54
  [SPEAKER_01]: It was worth it.
• 22:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's also because it might have been a weekend too.
• 22:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was just like one of those, I don't know what that street is called, I fake Gala.
• 23:02
  [SPEAKER_01]: South Paulo.
• 23:03
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the street is like.
• 23:05
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the street is like.
• 23:06
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what the street is like.
• 23:09
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what the street is like.
• 23:11
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what the street is like.
• 23:13
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the street is like.
• 23:15
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the street is like.
• 23:17
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the street is like.
• 23:17
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the street is like.
• 23:18
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the street is like.
• 23:21
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the street is like.
• 23:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but let's talk a little bit about food, you know, just real quick.
• 23:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I would say the big thing for this trip was the fact that we had octopus, which is something I really wanted to try because you want to have, you want to have seafood where people have seafood.
• 23:43
[SPEAKER_01]: So you want to go to a country that has a lot of sea.
• 23:47
[SPEAKER_01]: or ocean access and Portugal and Lisbon is known for seafood all around.
• 23:54
[SPEAKER_01]: So of course we had to have our good share of it.
• 23:58
[SPEAKER_01]: And I just feel like octopus is one of those things that like you have to have it right.
• 24:02
[SPEAKER_00]: What made you wanna try octopus because me grown up up until now?
• 24:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I never thought I would try octopus ever in my life.
• 24:10
  [SPEAKER_00]: I still can't believe that I had it.
• 24:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And that it was fucking good.
• 24:14
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was amazing.
• 24:15
  [SPEAKER_00]: Listen octopus.
• 24:17
[SPEAKER_00]: If you just Google octopus and you see how it moves and what it does.
• 24:21
[SPEAKER_01]: We all know how it moves.
• 24:22
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to Google.
• 24:24
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like it makes me uncomfortable.
• 24:27
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I know.
• 24:28
[SPEAKER_00]: So to then eat it like that's so alien.
• 24:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so that's like one of those things.
• 24:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just like I don't want to have anything to do with it.
• 24:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't ever want to see it in real life.
• 24:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I never want to touch it.
• 24:37
  [SPEAKER_00]: Whatever.
• 24:38
[SPEAKER_00]: But man, I'm telling you like the way they fried that thing up, whatever they did to it.
• 24:42
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they just really.
• 24:44
[SPEAKER_01]: We went to this restaurant.
• 24:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know what to expect us.
• 24:47
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the cool thing about it.
• 24:48
  [SPEAKER_00]: You take a bite.
• 24:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what the texture was going to be.
• 24:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Is it going to be like super chewy?
• 24:52
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was going to be chewy.
• 24:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's chewy when you cook it for too long.
• 24:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, because that one was like, you had like a crisp outside, but then the inside had like a, it was like a perfect bite.
• 25:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, they cooked that shit perfectly.
• 25:06
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they like drenched it in this like garlic that was cooked in this oil.
• 25:11
[SPEAKER_01]: It was a little bit too much oil for me, but it worked because it was, it was just like drenched in garlic.
• 25:18
[SPEAKER_01]: It seemed like a cornfeed garlic on top of that entire thing.
• 25:22
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we also had some really good shrimp.
• 25:26
[SPEAKER_01]: We had some Tuna Civici.
• 25:27
[SPEAKER_01]: We had a Gus Spacho there, which if you don't know, Gus Spacho is like a cold soup.
• 25:32
[SPEAKER_00]: What was the name of that spot?
• 25:33
[SPEAKER_01]: That, that was the first restaurant on like the first official day.
• 25:36
[SPEAKER_01]: It was called like Frada Dos Maris or something like that.
• 25:40
[SPEAKER_01]: If you watch my video, you can see like all the, everything that we're talking about, you can actually like see the visuals of it.
• 25:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: Like when it's happening.
• 25:47
[SPEAKER_01]: When it's happening, yeah, and what it looks like.
• 25:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: Except my nap.
• 25:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope, did you film my nap?
• 25:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine you film my nap with my shirt off.
• 25:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I should have taken a photo so we could, oh, but this is not even video in the morning.
• 25:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I was gonna say, like, put it on screen.
• 26:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Or like, post it on Instagram, it'd be like, you only know what this means.
• 26:05
[SPEAKER_01]: But this photo is if you listen to it.
• 26:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but yeah, so we had octos for the first time.
• 26:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: I was so good.
• 26:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Everything we had there was good.
• 26:14
[SPEAKER_00]: The guys that were working there was a very, very nice.
• 26:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, was very, very, very, very nice.
• 26:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there was a couple.
• 26:20
[SPEAKER_01]: They were like telling us they were telling you like music to listen to.
• 26:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: How was that?
• 26:25
[SPEAKER_00]: What are people here in Portugal like listen to?
• 26:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Like the real locals give me like a few names of what you listen to.
• 26:31
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 26:32
[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, okay, cool.
• 26:33
[SPEAKER_00]: So he went to the back as we're eating and stuff like that.
• 26:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess like he was just taking this time to like in a hero like a note.
• 26:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And he came back to our table like maybe fifteen minutes later.
• 26:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 26:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And then he was like, here these are the guys.
• 26:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I wish I had the paper with me.
• 26:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I would read them right now.
• 26:48
[SPEAKER_01]: The paper is somewhere though, because I saw, I saw it when we like unpack, you put it, you put it like this.
• 26:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to know, like, because you can go and Spotify and be like, okay, Portuguese, like, local music, Portuguese, you know, it's going to give you, like, a lot of our Brazilian music, which is in Portuguese, you know, and we love that Brazilian music so much.
• 27:13
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's always different hearing from some of who actually lives there and that's just their life.
• 27:19
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's just, you know.
• 27:20
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so.
• 27:20
  [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
• 27:23
[SPEAKER_01]: One thing what it comes to traveling is if you don't do any of the touristy stuff which you truly didn't
• 27:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I did that specifically because I know.
• 27:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I know Yoni doesn't like to do like a tour or like a, you know, what?
• 27:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you think I don't like that?
• 27:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Just because just because of how I, just because of the attitude that I'm jokingly giving you in Barcelona.
• 27:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I guess, yeah, but also like, because we're so funny, we had to head head piece like one, not even two.
• 27:53
[SPEAKER_00]: It was just like one on the side.
• 27:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Like we're in, two thousand two and then the lady was talking to us.
• 27:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: Can everybody hear me?
• 28:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I would say something about this trip.
• 28:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I really was trying to take it extra chill.
• 28:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I was still like tired from the Japan trip because we did so much like seeing all the temples and all the all the shrines and like all the things that
• 28:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: Hold the food.
• 28:19
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean the food I will I will go to the food any and all trips don't get tired of that.
• 28:24
[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's why I travel but But when it came to like touristy stuff like waiting in line to like see a building or something I was like honestly I just want to I just want to not do that this time.
• 28:36
[SPEAKER_00]: That's something I can't do Waiting and let it sit building I Can't see you from like far like I can see it.
• 28:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't have to touch it
• 28:45
[SPEAKER_00]: When I go somewhere, I'm not that person who travels and wants to touch the building.
• 28:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it's not about touching.
• 28:51
[SPEAKER_01]: It's about seeing the inside.
• 28:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 28:54
[SPEAKER_01]: And it depends like where you are.
• 28:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know something about this might be totally wrong, but something about Lisbon didn't give me like, like, I didn't really hear anybody talking.
• 29:04
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's because I didn't do a lot of research, which was nice, because I kind of just went and blind, which is so not my usual style of traveling.
• 29:14
[SPEAKER_01]: but I just like honestly didn't have time and I just wanted to like this was so much this is the first time that I think in my adult life I traveled to like a new place but it felt like a vacation and an exploration in a good balance.
• 29:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, ever since it turned in twenty six, you've been very chill on travel.
• 29:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, there's the first trip since it turned twenty six.
• 29:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: I know.
• 29:36
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is exactly what I'm saying.
• 29:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it didn't, your demeanor is like, it's just more like, okay, cool.
• 29:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you'd be like, okay, like, what do you want to go?
• 29:43
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I would say something and then we would go there usually, usually.
• 29:46
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, Al year got the list.
• 29:49
[SPEAKER_00]: And then we'd just go one by one.
• 29:51
[SPEAKER_00]: We hit all the spots.
• 29:53
[SPEAKER_00]: But, and as you know, if you listen to the podcast long enough,
• 29:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's not my style.
• 29:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: This is silly.
• 29:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm almost down for it, because I'm just, I'm just a chill guy.
• 30:02
  [SPEAKER_00]: You know?
• 30:02
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you are.
• 30:04
[SPEAKER_00]: But that's not my style, but I'll go with it like fuck it, you know?
• 30:07
[SPEAKER_00]: But me, I love to kind of just like go to a place and then just see what happens.
• 30:14
[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I can't, oh, this place looks kind of nice, that's why I can't even find out what it is.
• 30:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Instead of being like Google review, what does it say?
• 30:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, what does it say?
• 30:22
  [SPEAKER_01]: What's food?
• 30:24
[SPEAKER_01]: you only have so many meals and somehow we only ate twice a day every day because like we woke up we were pretty jet lagged so we woke up quite late like the first few days so we were like we woke up too late for breakfast
• 30:40
[SPEAKER_01]: So then we would kind of have like brunch and then we would be hungry until like dinner.
• 30:46
[SPEAKER_01]: So then we would only eat twice a day.
• 30:48
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, you only have two meals a day for those four or five days.
• 30:53
[SPEAKER_01]: That's like not a lot of time to eat.
• 30:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's a gamble, right?
• 30:56
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not trying to gamble with any of these meals.
• 30:59
[SPEAKER_01]: So just be like, oh, this place is good.
• 31:01
  [SPEAKER_01]: Like, let's walk in.
• 31:02
[SPEAKER_01]: If a place looks good, I'm going to just see what people are saying about it.
• 31:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to go to the happy heaters?
• 31:07
[SPEAKER_01]: No, but it's like even if we walk by something that looks good.
• 31:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it was a restaurant.
• 31:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty sure that like in one of the last nights we like walked up these stairs and there was this like woman like singing and it was such a bar.
• 31:21
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like out of a movie and we like reached this restaurant.
• 31:28
[SPEAKER_01]: that was on the way to, I think, another restaurant, we're like, damn, this looks so good.
• 31:32
[SPEAKER_01]: So then I pull on my phone, I look up the restaurant, and I'm like, oh shit, good ass reviews, hell of people talking about this and that, all right, let's go.
• 31:41
[SPEAKER_01]: But we couldn't go because they were closing in like an hour and a half and they're like list, waiting list was already full.
• 31:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I was so mad, like when I went to go ask, like when you were in, like, back there a little bit,
• 31:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I was I went up to the line and then this lady I was waiting for someone because I know they're running around.
• 31:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's a little busy.
• 32:00
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's a small place.
• 32:01
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm just standing by the door and then like this lady comes and stand right in front of me.
• 32:05
  [SPEAKER_00]: Did you see that?
• 32:06
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I didn't see that.
• 32:08
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm looking at her like
• 32:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, either way, they were full.
• 32:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know, but how can you, how can you do that?
• 32:14
[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think I was waiting on?
• 32:16
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I didn't say anything to her and then she starts to talk to the person and then he told her, no, we don't have a spa, but I was thinking of my head like if there was a spa, she won't get it.
• 32:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I was going to say something.
• 32:26
[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't know what she was going to get it.
• 32:27
  [SPEAKER_00]: Are you kidding me?
• 32:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, so by a depth, I really wanted to try that.
• 32:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I really wanted to go to that place too.
• 32:32
[SPEAKER_01]: It was such a vibe.
• 32:34
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, I don't know something about it just seemed like the food would be amazing.
• 32:37
  [SPEAKER_00]: What does it call?
• 32:38
  [SPEAKER_00]: So people know.
• 32:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: Do you remember?
• 32:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I have to look on my phone.
• 32:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just testing your memory because you're so good.
• 32:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we didn't eat there.
• 32:43
  [SPEAKER_01]: If I ate there, I probably wouldn't remember.
• 32:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's when I clocked the internet.
• 32:48
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, the food was absolutely amazing.
• 32:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like we had octopus another time, too.
• 32:53
[SPEAKER_01]: It was right before the meetup, which we'll talk about.
• 32:57
  [SPEAKER_01]: Don't worry.
• 32:59
[SPEAKER_01]: When we got that octopus salad, it was just cut up octopus with a bunch of, you don't remember because you were stressed that we're going to be late for the meetup.
• 33:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, we were and we were sitting upstairs and then they kept like not coming to take our order and then also it was a cash only place and I only had enough cash for like the meal we ordered and we didn't have enough like to tip and it was like a whole thing and
• 33:33
[SPEAKER_00]: We need to know the thing with that place is that we didn't know that we have to tell them, hey, we are ready to order because we were ready for a minute.
• 33:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, for that, and also hey, we are ready to pay.
• 33:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Like the thing in, uh, I don't know if it's all of Europe, but like they don't come to you when you're done eating.
• 33:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate that.
• 33:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate that because I feel like I can just have my conversation I can just chill and then whenever we're ready to go excuse me can we have to build please instead of like in America as soon as you finish hi would you like anything else no okay okay here's the bill but take your time though it's like the rush you but then they don't really I mean I don't think they rush you but also it's like this is a place where you go eat I'm not thinking I'm like gonna chill here for another hour doing what
• 34:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I like when people leave me alone after I eat.
• 34:18
  [SPEAKER_01]: No.
• 34:19
[SPEAKER_00]: But if you listen to this and you work in like a restaurant business, I wonder if it's like a culture cultural difference.
• 34:27
[SPEAKER_00]: But here in America, like I know when they give you the bill here in America, they don't tell you, okay, get up now.
• 34:33
[SPEAKER_00]: But they just like they tell you, no, take a time.
• 34:35
[SPEAKER_00]: But something about the bill being there and you already paid.
• 34:38
[SPEAKER_00]: But also the service is over there.
• 34:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I know, but it makes me feel like
• 34:43
[SPEAKER_00]: We're ready for you to leave.
• 34:44
[SPEAKER_00]: We're ready for you to leave so we can clean up and go on to the next.
• 34:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, there's also that because if there are reservations and you do have to close that is true because there's someone else coming in.
• 34:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so it's kind of like a not a great argument.
• 34:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Well for me it's more just like I don't get I don't feel like necessarily rushed and I kind of feel like there's a there's a service being offered to me and it's like now if I don't want anything else.
• 35:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Why do we like why are we not wrapping it up?
• 35:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: But that's your choice.
• 35:19
[SPEAKER_00]: They give you the choice.
• 35:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And you wrap it up when you want to.
• 35:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but you can pay the bill and still chill if the tables are available.
• 35:28
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 35:28
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 35:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 35:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 35:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's interesting.
• 35:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate when when when they just kind of, because after you've done eating like in Europe, or at least when you went to, you won't see them.
• 35:38
[SPEAKER_00]: They won't talk to you.
• 35:39
[SPEAKER_00]: They won't, it's just like you're not even there.
• 35:41
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 35:42
[SPEAKER_01]: It was the same in Copenhagen too.
• 35:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't mind that to be honest.
• 35:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: But okay.
• 35:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: I give it.
• 35:46
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just kind of looking around like yo, is somebody gonna come over here or what?
• 35:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it feels like I have to go find them.
• 35:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I have to get up.
• 35:54
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it feels like yo, I want this money or not.
• 35:56
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 35:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I can get up right now and be you.
• 36:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but yeah, I mean, this trip in Lisbon, you know, we pretty much just like walked around and then we ate and then we walked around and we ate and we just hung out.
• 36:09
  [SPEAKER_00]: I took photos.
• 36:10
[SPEAKER_00]: I was filming a beautiful POV photographer video which I'm very, very excited for everyone to watch.
• 36:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm excited to see it too.
• 36:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: Let's begin of walking.
• 36:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Those up here and then those down here.
• 36:22
[SPEAKER_00]: No, yeah, which I think like it's not as bad as I thought because people told me oh you go to Lisbon You better have good shoes.
• 36:29
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I think it's not as really as bad, but it's definitely constant Okay, but it was okay like we're a young we're athletic like it wasn't like oh my god, I don't know if we should make this trip because it's so okay.
• 36:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, nobody who's talking about not doing the trip because of that nobody
• 36:43
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's more like definitely.
• 36:45
[SPEAKER_01]: So like definitely choose the right shoes.
• 36:47
[SPEAKER_01]: And also let's talk about how every road in Lisbon is made with this like marble like square like pieces of marble and they're so slippery.
• 36:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: They're so slippery.
• 36:59
[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know how I feel like it didn't rain while we were there.
• 37:04
[SPEAKER_01]: But it did actually one day, but yeah.
• 37:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess we didn't walk on those, cause it's not everybody.
• 37:08
[SPEAKER_01]: It just wasn't like point.
• 37:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I wonder if there become even more slippery.
• 37:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
• 37:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like a lot of people follow on those.
• 37:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it just doesn't make sense to choose that material.
• 37:17
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I guess it is beautiful.
• 37:18
[SPEAKER_01]: So I do get that.
• 37:20
[SPEAKER_01]: But, in terms of like, what about like old people that have to like go up and down?
• 37:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Apparently, I saw this, I don't know where it was, whether it was on YouTube or Reddit or something.
• 37:30
  [SPEAKER_01]: But there's like elevators.
• 37:32
[SPEAKER_01]: There's probably elevators that you can take.
• 37:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Instead of like going up and down the hill you can like take an elevated down to like a business that is going to be like in the ground.
• 37:45
[SPEAKER_01]: know like at the bottom because the streets like you know elevator can only go up and down I know but the elevator the the streets like they go up and down but they also go like around stuff so you know like sometimes you're up and then you go down and then when you reach the down there's like business is there too there's like buildings there too when you reach the down the bottom I guess
• 38:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 38:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, I didn't.
• 38:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: I actually didn't read about that.
• 38:13
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
• 38:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I saw someone write that somewhere.
• 38:15
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
• 38:16
[SPEAKER_01]: But I was enjoying listening.
• 38:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I was enjoying the hills because you just get the most beautiful views.
• 38:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Because you just get a workout in.
• 38:26
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I mean, that's cool too.
• 38:27
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't really care that much about that.
• 38:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but no, you just have like the most incredible views like you never know when you're gonna turn a corner and it's gonna be like you can see the entire city like all the way to the water, which it happened one time.
• 38:41
  [SPEAKER_01]: It happened many times.
• 38:42
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the place where it says life is great or life is good.
• 38:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, well, that's like an actual viewpoint.
• 38:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but he was a randomly.
• 38:48
  [SPEAKER_00]: We didn't know.
• 38:49
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
• 38:49
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it was also like watching and then just like, oh, wait.
• 38:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we just find a huge, which makes me like, I'm so it's always so interesting like way back.
• 39:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know if it's thousands of years, but whenever there was no savings of years, there was no city where a Lisbon is now.
• 39:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm wondering the people that arrived there first, and then we're like, hey, we're gonna build a city here.
• 39:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Like why did they choose a place that was so hilly?
• 39:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Like what about it made them think like, oh yeah, this is smart idea.
• 39:24
  [SPEAKER_01]: You know?
• 39:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but they did that shit.
• 39:27
[SPEAKER_01]: No, they did that shit.
• 39:28
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy.
• 39:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just always like wondering.
• 39:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I get like, I guess it's at the edge of Europe.
• 39:37
  [SPEAKER_01]: So.
• 39:38
[SPEAKER_00]: What does that have to do with anything?
• 39:39
[SPEAKER_01]: No, so it's like, oh, it's like in terms of like business, like it makes sense.
• 39:43
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like by the water, there's a lot of fish that can come in like trading.
• 39:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: Right, right, right.
• 39:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know, maybe.
• 39:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Usually besides like food and walking and stuff that we do in a city, the next like the other activity that's left over.
• 40:01
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're not going to do anything touristy is like shopping.
• 40:05
[SPEAKER_01]: which we didn't do a lot of shopping if at all because it was so hot.
• 40:11
[SPEAKER_01]: When you're on the street like you're already sweaty and the last thing I want to do is go into a store where also like the AC wasn't that great over there.
• 40:19
[SPEAKER_01]: And the last thing I want to do is like flip through racks and like forget about trying shit on.
• 40:26
[SPEAKER_00]: When I think of Lisbon
• 40:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think about shopping at all.
• 40:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I think about just being outside, seeing people like just did exactly what we did.
• 40:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think about going into a store or like, I want to go into this brand and find out about like my vintage shopping.
• 40:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm done because there was like a really good vintage shop that I walked into and walked right out.
• 40:52
  [SPEAKER_01]: I was too hot.
• 40:53
[SPEAKER_01]: It was actually kind of good.
• 40:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no.
• 40:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's great, but I did not think about that at all.
• 40:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there's certain places in the world when I think about going and visiting.
• 41:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think about shopping at all.
• 41:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: We went to Japan.
• 41:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, oh, yeah.
• 41:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I need to extra suback.
• 41:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: Suback.
• 41:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I need to extra sukis.
• 41:10
  [SPEAKER_00]: or double bag.
• 41:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Speaking of a toe bag, I got a toe bag from this brand called Plus.
• 41:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if it's like three five one or three hundred fifty one.
• 41:20
  [SPEAKER_00]: But it's a real cool store.
• 41:22
[SPEAKER_01]: I found out about you didn't get just a toe bag.
• 41:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let me let me let me get to the store.
• 41:28
[SPEAKER_00]: I got to really nice white pants.
• 41:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I always want to get nice pants because they remind me of just like
• 41:35
[SPEAKER_00]: something about, I feel like a lot of Brazilian people and a lot of Portuguese people wear a lot of white.
• 41:40
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's what I noticed a lot of white.
• 41:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
• 41:42
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 41:43
[SPEAKER_01]: So is that, is that true?
• 41:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: Is that true?
• 41:45
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I know in Brazil for New Year's they wear all white.
• 41:49
  [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's a beautiful.
• 41:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but I mean, I think you can just like give credit where credit is due that I've just been rocking the white pants lately.
• 41:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: Who you?
• 41:58
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 41:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't get that because of that at all.
• 42:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I wanted to get.
• 42:02
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, I did it.
• 42:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, don't give me that face.
• 42:04
[SPEAKER_00]: You guys don't see the faces giving me right now, but
• 42:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to get like nice baggy, dislike.
• 42:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the kind of like loose, you know, but it makes you feel like it's, it's like summer.
• 42:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like a summary, even though it's funny because they're kind of this quarter-row material, but not very, very thin.
• 42:22
[SPEAKER_01]: But like, it's more that it's just the design of the fabric is like that, but it's not actually like a thick quarter.
• 42:28
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 42:29
[SPEAKER_00]: And I remember there was a black one first before I even saw the white one.
• 42:33
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, this is really, really nice.
• 42:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: I tried it on.
• 42:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just like, yeah, only if he was white, but you know, in that section, only the black one was there.
• 42:41
[SPEAKER_00]: So in my head, I'm thinking like, damn, I need something like this, but in white.
• 42:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So then the guy takes it and then he's like, yeah, so did you like him like, yeah, but I kind of, I just need a white one like that.
• 42:49
[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, oh, we got a white version of this.
• 42:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just like, oh,
• 42:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Give it to me right now.
• 42:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I tried it on and that was it, you know, so but then someone told me that this brand is very torsty.
• 43:01
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was someone.
• 43:02
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's a beautiful brand.
• 43:03
  [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a it's a I also got a very nice striped shirt.
• 43:09
[SPEAKER_01]: The material was really like
• 43:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, it's very like worn in and like saw.
• 43:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I wore that so much after I got it on the trip.
• 43:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I wonder what makes it tourist.
• 43:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess it's because I think it's probably just because like I don't know if it's like a chain, but they probably mean like it's just like a really big brand that's made in Portugal and they really advertise us like it made in Portugal.
• 43:33
[SPEAKER_01]: But didn't that guy say that's it's from Australia?
• 43:37
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, I don't think so, no.
• 43:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's like, the lady that started it, she is a surfer and she went.
• 43:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, she was inspired by the surf culture in Australia.
• 43:52
  [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
• 43:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And then she came back to, we just love that it's like made and Portugal.
• 43:56
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we're big on getting at least like one thing.
• 43:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, someone said to meet up told us that I forgot your name, but if you listen to this, you know exactly what I'm saying.
• 44:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I remember you two.
• 44:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right?
• 44:07
[SPEAKER_01]: She was like, yeah, that's not really.
• 44:09
[SPEAKER_00]: And also proud of my purchase.
• 44:11
  [SPEAKER_01]: I know.
• 44:12
[SPEAKER_00]: And then someone tells you, like, yo, this is the pretty touristy.
• 44:16
[SPEAKER_00]: But I get it, you know, it's okay.
• 44:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I have to be at you for telling me this.
• 44:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, next time I will ask because I do want to do want to
• 44:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I always miss out on good vintage stuff because vintage stuff is also way cheaper in Europe compared to the US.
• 44:33
[SPEAKER_01]: But I was just so high and also no space in that luggage.
• 44:38
[SPEAKER_00]: No, yeah, no space at all.
• 44:39
  [SPEAKER_01]: No space.
• 44:41
[SPEAKER_01]: But I didn't have some space for some souvenirs.
• 44:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I did get this plate that you can grate garlic on.
• 44:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like you always get that.
• 44:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like this is not the first time.
• 44:50
  [SPEAKER_00]: Get that.
• 44:50
[SPEAKER_01]: This is the first time I bought that.
• 44:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you looked at it multiple times.
• 44:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I looked at it in Japan.
• 44:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, because I remember what I just did the time to wait.
• 44:58
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, um, I don't know.
• 45:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I just you just need to buy like at least one thing one thing from there.
• 45:07
[SPEAKER_01]: We bought like a few things and then I didn't buy anything when we went to Copenhagen just because then the bag really was like buzzing.
• 45:14
  [SPEAKER_01]: It was
• 45:15
  [SPEAKER_00]: The bag was busted.
• 45:16
  [SPEAKER_01]: It was full.
• 45:18
[SPEAKER_00]: When the bag is so full, I'm always scared because you know how you have to sit on it to close it.
• 45:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Put all the weight on it to close it.
• 45:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: Even the extension.
• 45:27
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's hard break.
• 45:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I feel like you know how when you when when your bag is traveling and going through like different
• 45:34
  [SPEAKER_01]: the plane and the.
• 45:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 45:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm always thinking like if it's if it's going to hit something at the perfect angle, is this going to pop open?
• 45:41
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 45:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And like what do you think they're going to do?
• 45:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
• 45:44
[SPEAKER_00]: All you shit will be everywhere.
• 45:45
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that yeah, I think when they do that, they like put it in like a box thing and then they give it to you.
• 45:51
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 45:52
  [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
• 45:52
[SPEAKER_01]: There's one thing that I feel like we need to address.
• 45:57
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's the fact that I feel like they're certain food.
• 46:03
[SPEAKER_01]: There's certain food in Europe that just hasn't yet reached the level that we are so fortunate to have experienced here in the US.
• 46:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure where this is going, but I already know people are going to be mad at me.
• 46:20
[SPEAKER_00]: But I think I know where you're talking about.
• 46:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 46:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: I guess what?
• 46:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, I don't want to be wrong.
• 46:24
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to be wrong.
• 46:27
[SPEAKER_01]: So when we're asking people like, you know, where to eat stuff like that, I had this place recommended many, many, many times.
• 46:36
  [SPEAKER_01]: And it's a taco place.
• 46:39
[SPEAKER_01]: taco place taco okay Mexican taco place and there was one night like I feel like you know you eat the local food you have the seafood you have the traditional Portuguese stuff as much as you can but you need a break from that so that's why we had Lupita pizza then one night we actually had two nights um it was because it was so good good I love the crust yeah all the crust that's sourdough yeah sourdough pizza is always if you're ever getting a pizza anywhere just ask them if they have sourdough pizza
• 47:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's either sour to pizza or not, and it's like they have more than one.
• 47:09
[SPEAKER_00]: There's no place that they do both right now.
• 47:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot of work.
• 47:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like if you do sour to pizza, that's like your thing.
• 47:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I lost my chair of thought.
• 47:19
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
• 47:19
[SPEAKER_01]: So we had pizza and then it was another night that we were tired.
• 47:23
[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't want to go to like a restaurant.
• 47:24
[SPEAKER_01]: We just wanted to do something like very chill, but still wanted to try something that people like we're saying is good.
• 47:29
[SPEAKER_01]: So we went to this taco place that so many people were like this is the best taco in Lisbon blah blah blah you guys these tacos were like Fine They but fine out of ten or what is fine?
• 47:46
[SPEAKER_00]: It was like a six Fine is now six is not fine.
• 47:50
  [SPEAKER_01]: What's fine?
• 47:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Fine is like seven and above?
• 47:54
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think seven eight is like good
• 48:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Six is not fine because if you get sixty out of a hundred on a ten you're not fine Okay, well, I feel like ten is like amazing nine is really good Eight is good.
• 48:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, seven is fine and six is mid and five is like under mid six.
• 48:23
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like you could be worse
• 48:25
[SPEAKER_01]: but it also wasn't great.
• 48:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it was a seven.
• 48:30
  [SPEAKER_01]: It was a seven.
• 48:32
  [SPEAKER_01]: Six, one, five.
• 48:34
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know you guys.
• 48:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I just feel like there's certain cuisines that just have not yet made it to Europe the way that they should because there's also another story that we're not telling you now.
• 48:45
[SPEAKER_01]: We're saving it for saving it for the Copenhagen episode.
• 48:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
• 48:52
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're on Patreon, you already heard that story.
• 48:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wait, really?
• 48:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Because it has to do with you, not feeling so good, which is why this episode is really late.
• 49:03
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're wondering, oh, yeah, by the way, too, this is, it's been a rough week.
• 49:08
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's been a rough week.
• 49:09
[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to know about what this rough week's been, you can go on Patreon in some of that episode.
• 49:15
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I just feel like in general, you know, when I went to Paris, everybody was raving about this ramen place and they were like, this is the best ramen.
• 49:23
  [SPEAKER_01]: That shit was non-roman.
• 49:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: Wait, which one?
• 49:27
[SPEAKER_01]: No, you didn't go, you weren't with me.
• 49:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I was, I was with my friend.
• 49:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I went to Paris like two years ago.
• 49:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm thinking like, we had ramen in Portugal?
• 49:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I thought the pizza, what did I think about the taco?
• 49:40
[SPEAKER_01]: We ordered like also a lot because you know, it was really hungry.
• 49:43
  [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, let's get six tacos.
• 49:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I think it's just for you that you think of tacos as like not a lot of food.
• 49:50
  [SPEAKER_00]: Anytime I think about a taco, I'm thinking it's like a bite.
• 49:53
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's like a kuh, it's like a snack.
• 49:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but you know, I'm like, I'm looking at the menu.
• 49:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, give me six or all.
• 49:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: Two of these.
• 50:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're like, so then when the table, our table look like
• 50:04
[SPEAKER_00]: It was for four people.
• 50:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like somebody was coming someone still coming to the table to sit down.
• 50:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you if you just haven't a walk by our table and see how much food we had it was almost like we're waiting on more friends to come.
• 50:16
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 50:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was crazy.
• 50:18
[SPEAKER_01]: It felt like we had to say when they kept calling my name to pick up our order because it was like multiple plates.
• 50:24
[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like I had to say like we had more people coming.
• 50:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think our friend Lucas is still, yeah, I think they're on the way, right?
• 50:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
• 50:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
• 50:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, but okay.
• 50:32
[SPEAKER_00]: So the case idea was really good.
• 50:34
[SPEAKER_00]: It was just like a straight-up cheese case.
• 50:36
[SPEAKER_01]: No, and it was like stuffed with cheese.
• 50:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, it was good.
• 50:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: I like it.
• 50:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Their hot sauce is really good.
• 50:41
[SPEAKER_00]: The hot sauce was really good.
• 50:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was good.
• 50:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was good.
• 50:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: The tacos.
• 50:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Why don't I now remember the taco?
• 50:45
[SPEAKER_01]: The taco was the beef one was like pulled beef.
• 50:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that one.
• 50:50
  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
• 50:50
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have a steak taco where it's not like a grilled steak.
• 50:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was interesting.
• 50:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: That one was interesting.
• 50:56
[SPEAKER_00]: And then and then I don't know where the lights go off.
• 51:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Everything shuts down in the middle of a like a fully busy restaurant.
• 51:05
  [SPEAKER_00]: I would say.
• 51:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like someone was in the bathroom.
• 51:07
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's pitch black.
• 51:08
  [SPEAKER_00]: Like I couldn't see Alia.
• 51:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, actually it was so dark.
• 51:12
[SPEAKER_00]: And no, but I mean, well, I couldn't see you, but
• 51:17
[SPEAKER_00]: It was not pitch black.
• 51:18
[SPEAKER_00]: You could still see something because I remember, I kept eating.
• 51:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I also remember the guys kept cooking in the kitchen.
• 51:25
  [SPEAKER_01]: It was so funny.
• 51:27
[SPEAKER_01]: And this guy kept calling out orders.
• 51:30
[SPEAKER_00]: No, imagine you're in the restaurant and it's just the black there.
• 51:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be see something as wrong.
• 51:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: Guys like
• 51:38
  [SPEAKER_00]: Alexandra?
• 51:39
  [SPEAKER_01]: It was like Lucia!
• 51:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm like there.
• 51:44
[SPEAKER_01]: And the person wasn't coming to get their order.
• 51:46
[SPEAKER_01]: So that guy kept saying Lucia!
• 51:48
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, the business got to keep going, yo.
• 51:51
  [SPEAKER_01]: That was funny.
• 51:52
[SPEAKER_00]: The cooks was like, yo, I don't care if we got lights or not, but keep cooking.
• 51:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because I feel bad gas or something.
• 51:58
  [SPEAKER_01]: It was so funny.
• 52:00
  [SPEAKER_01]: It was still working.
• 52:01
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, okay, we have to talk about how we went to
• 52:06
[SPEAKER_00]: And then lights came back home and everybody clapped.
• 52:08
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah.
• 52:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of like when the plane lands.
• 52:11
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I want to clap on the plane lands because these days people don't do it.
• 52:17
  [SPEAKER_01]: You don't know.
• 52:18
[SPEAKER_00]: There's always one random person who does it.
• 52:20
[SPEAKER_00]: That's like stuck in the past.
• 52:21
  [SPEAKER_00]: You hear?
• 52:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I always look around and I'm like.
• 52:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, there's always one person that has to initiate it, but then they're like, after the third clap, if people don't join in, you might as well just let it go.
• 52:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, that's awkward if you start clapping and like nobody does.
• 52:34
  [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
• 52:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Also, too, like, why do you want me to clap?
• 52:37
[SPEAKER_00]: You gotta do your job.
• 52:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, no, it's not, I want to clap because like, it's like, oh, I was so nervous.
• 52:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like, I'm sorry, when we landed in, uh,
• 52:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we'll talk about that on the next episode.
• 52:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Man, we're in Copenhagen, but she was not fun.
• 52:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, shit, yeah.
• 52:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but I wanted to talk about Kishkaish.
• 53:00
  [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, which.
• 53:01
  [SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to Kishkaish.
• 53:02
[SPEAKER_00]: If you leave in Kishkaish, we love you.
• 53:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: I like it.
• 53:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know how to pronounce it.
• 53:09
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was like a skyscraper.
• 53:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, at first I just feel like it's a it's the right assumption to think it's cascades because it's there's no accent on the S it's like in in most languages the S is like a
• 53:24
[SPEAKER_01]: such sound like you want you add an h or you add an accent on it or something so i said cascades like so many times in my video and then it was an until we actually arrived in cascades yeah that i was like let me google this shit yeah and then i realized it was cascades it was very beautiful so nice like i would live there
• 53:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I would think it's a very small city if you didn't even call it the town.
• 53:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, I would live.
• 53:53
[SPEAKER_01]: And also very like touristy.
• 53:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I would not live there.
• 53:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I would live there just for the beach vise.
• 53:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe not forever.
• 53:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's plenty of other places you can live.
• 54:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not talking about you, babe.
• 54:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not talking about us as a couple.
• 54:04
[SPEAKER_00]: If I was single, I would live there.
• 54:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: Let's say.
• 54:08
  [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
• 54:08
  [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, no, you wouldn't.
• 54:10
[SPEAKER_00]: You were not lived at your own.
• 54:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but yeah, I know.
• 54:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Because you guys was beautiful.
• 54:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I loved seeing all the like young boys just like playing soccer.
• 54:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I love looking at the young boys at the beach playing.
• 54:27
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's what you're saying.
• 54:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, no, I'm saying like it was really cool to like just see.
• 54:32
[SPEAKER_01]: No, yeah, it was like it was so many like young kids.
• 54:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it wasn't just boys, but it was mostly boys that were just like throwing the ball around, you know, very much how you like see it on like the Brazilian beaches.
• 54:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, yeah, exactly.
• 54:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Like the beach in Rio.
• 54:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like you always see and they were doing that like constantly, which at one point, they were getting so close to where we were sitting.
• 54:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, bro, like the ball kept like coming onto our onto our blanket.
• 55:00
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, okay, this is happening like for the third time.
• 55:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a sign for you to move over.
• 55:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a whole thing of like, we're so good that we can be right next to you.
• 55:09
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to work, girl.
• 55:11
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, well, we did.
• 55:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I mean, the worst part about that is like, when you, let's say we were sitting on the right.
• 55:17
[SPEAKER_00]: If you go to the left, they had like a lot of space.
• 55:20
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
• 55:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Like there was no reason for them to be this close.
• 55:24
  [SPEAKER_01]: They could have scooched.
• 55:25
[SPEAKER_00]: But it was so nice.
• 55:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I can just close my eyes and just in just a little bit of that moment.
• 55:30
[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to see that moment, go to Alias YouTube latest video and you will see that.
• 55:34
[SPEAKER_01]: But actually no, that video is being posted tomorrow.
• 55:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay, well tomorrow then you're gonna see that moment.
• 55:41
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 55:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And then if you see it and you listen to the podcast, put it in the comments that you listen to the podcast.
• 55:48
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 55:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also gonna connect something.
• 55:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I was gonna say that I want to get as I was like, I was editing that video and I was also editing like the next video when I was at the retreat.
• 56:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I also went to the beach like a few times.
• 56:05
[SPEAKER_01]: And I just really want to get in and more beach time.
• 56:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I know we went to Coney Island.
• 56:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, where are you talking about the skies and talking about Coney Island?
• 56:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just like, what are we talking about right now?
• 56:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, don't hate on Coney Island because we had so much fun.
• 56:20
[SPEAKER_01]: We had a good time.
• 56:23
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like we make it work, we make the best out of what we can.
• 56:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, that's part of life.
• 56:30
[SPEAKER_00]: That's really the only thing we can do.
• 56:32
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
• 56:33
  [SPEAKER_01]: I just wouldn't hate on it.
• 56:36
[SPEAKER_01]: The fact that we can live in New York City and take a forty minute subway and get to the beach.
• 56:44
[SPEAKER_01]: where there isn't trash, the sand is soft, the food is relatively good, and you can lay there and hang out.
• 56:51
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you want to, get in the water and get out, you know?
• 56:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 56:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: I got us a sunshine margarita.
• 56:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was so hot.
• 57:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was very hot.
• 57:02
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we got I didn't know what's in so this this was a setup.
• 57:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you tell us tell us the story.
• 57:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, no, I was gonna say like oh, okay.
• 57:09
[SPEAKER_01]: You may just seem like if I'm like interrupt.
• 57:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, no, you have the floor.
• 57:13
  [SPEAKER_01]: I just
• 57:15
[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to say that like we had already been at the beach for maybe like two hours at this point three hours yeah I think if I reference my video correctly we had arrived there around like noon one and then you it was four o'clock when you came because you only kept like leaving
• 57:35
  [SPEAKER_01]: You get bleeping me.
• 57:36
  [SPEAKER_01]: To go on walks.
• 57:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted to like, I was taking a photo.
• 57:40
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, no.
• 57:40
  [SPEAKER_01]: I know something.
• 57:41
  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm even talking to.
• 57:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I was talking to people.
• 57:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I was playing soccer with some random ass people.
• 57:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, you weren't.
• 57:47
[SPEAKER_00]: No, because I felt like they were really good friends.
• 57:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: And I couldn't like John.
• 57:50
[SPEAKER_01]: You didn't want to be that guy.
• 57:52
[SPEAKER_01]: But it's like, hey, guys, can I please?
• 57:53
  [SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't know.
• 57:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to join some guys, but they seemed like they just, they all knew each other.
• 57:58
[SPEAKER_00]: And that was the first time I was like, damn, can I join these guys?
• 58:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think everyone was really young.
• 58:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I did, and I was just watching.
• 58:05
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 58:06
[SPEAKER_00]: It was cool, but yeah, I kept leaving Alia.
• 58:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I was, but it's fine, because I was there just to like, lay out being a son.
• 58:13
  [SPEAKER_00]: She brought her book.
• 58:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I never bought a book to the beach.
• 58:16
[SPEAKER_01]: You did in, in, in, um, Koenia.
• 58:19
[SPEAKER_00]: That was my first time ever.
• 58:20
  [SPEAKER_01]: And last time.
• 58:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And I read one page.
• 58:24
  [SPEAKER_01]: True.
• 58:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but yeah, it was just reading.
• 58:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I was enjoying my time, but like over time, it got so, so hot.
• 58:31
[SPEAKER_01]: And we had water, but that shit is hot at this point because it's been sitting in the sun, too.
• 58:36
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was just like, oh my god, but I couldn't leave because like all of our cameras were there and I didn't like where was I gonna go?
• 58:42
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, because I actually go get like some of the drink.
• 58:45
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know it was like so close, right?
• 58:48
[SPEAKER_00]: But we packed some, oh, we had a, we had a Guadana.
• 58:51
  [SPEAKER_01]: We had a Guadana.
• 58:54
[SPEAKER_01]: You only love saying Guadana.
• 58:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, because I thought you know how to say it, because you said Guadana.
• 58:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 58:58
  [SPEAKER_01]: You did say Guadana.
• 59:00
[SPEAKER_00]: My god, what do the one I think?
• 59:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, we did have a Guadana, but it also sat in the water in sat in the sun and it was hot too.
• 59:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't want to drink no hot beverage right now.
• 59:10
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to drink hot water now?
• 59:12
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
• 59:14
[SPEAKER_00]: So we sent them this episode of Guadana.
• 59:17
[SPEAKER_01]: When I was laying on this in the sun, it's like, you know when you get to that point after you've been at the beach for a minute where you're like, okay, this is like kind of not funny anymore.
• 59:24
  [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm just uncomfortable.
• 59:25
  [SPEAKER_01]: There's sand everywhere.
• 59:26
  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm hot.
• 59:27
  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sweating.
• 59:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Like the sand is stuck on me.
• 59:30
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Yoni shows up.
• 59:35
[SPEAKER_01]: with an apparel spritz in hand.
• 59:38
[SPEAKER_01]: And you guys, the genuine happiness, because it was just perfect.
• 59:45
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, have you ever just wanted something, but you didn't even know what you wanted, but you just know there's something you would want that would make you feel so much better than you feel now.
• 59:56
[SPEAKER_00]: And the funny thing is, I didn't know you felt that to that extent.
• 59:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: No.
• 59:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Like you were just thinking like, oh, it's probably like it's hard.
• 1:00:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's a good idea to be fun to like get a drink.
• 1:00:04
[SPEAKER_00]: You guys, when I was walking up to Alia and she turned around, your face said all that.
• 1:00:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like you read my mind and I didn't even know that I was thinking that.
• 1:00:13
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
• 1:00:15
[SPEAKER_01]: And the moment I saw it, I was just like, oh my god, it was amazing.
• 1:00:20
[SPEAKER_01]: It was the best Afro-spirited of my life.
• 1:00:22
[SPEAKER_00]: You looked at me as if I was a major.
• 1:00:24
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
• 1:00:26
[SPEAKER_00]: We had one, that one I kind of drank it just so thirsty Even though it's full on alcohol
• 1:00:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: like water is crazy.
• 1:00:44
  [SPEAKER_01]: It is crazy.
• 1:00:45
  [SPEAKER_01]: But it's like it's it's not strong.
• 1:00:47
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so you can easily drink that shit quick.
• 1:00:50
[SPEAKER_01]: And after that, we were just kind of sitting.
• 1:00:52
[SPEAKER_01]: We hadn't had anything except breakfast.
• 1:00:55
[SPEAKER_01]: And breakfast was like a minute ago.
• 1:00:57
[SPEAKER_00]: breakfast was several hours ago.
• 1:01:00
  [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
• 1:01:00
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're sitting in a sun, probably dehydrated.
• 1:01:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Now I just had an approl on slight empty stomach, right?
• 1:01:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the first one went like water.
• 1:01:08
  [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
• 1:01:08
[SPEAKER_01]: And I wasn't thinking anything, you know?
• 1:01:09
[SPEAKER_01]: So then we kind of hang out for a little bit.
• 1:01:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Yoni hangs out with me, then he's like, you know what?
• 1:01:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm gonna go on another walk.
• 1:01:16
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:01:16
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is when we were like, should we stay?
• 1:01:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Continue to stay or should we leave?
• 1:01:19
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think we said we're gonna stay for another hour, you know?
• 1:01:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Because it was just such a good vibes.
• 1:01:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was, yeah.
• 1:01:23
[SPEAKER_00]: And now like the drinks brought the energy back up.
• 1:01:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly and it was like it even though I had been hot because I think I went after I had that drink I went in for a dip and then I came back from the water So I was like cooled off and then like the sun wasn't as strong anymore and it was just perfect temperature just chill
• 1:01:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Did you like the other drink, the sunrise?
• 1:01:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I didn't like that.
• 1:01:45
[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, do you want to, do you want a regular margarita?
• 1:01:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want a sunrise, Margarita?
• 1:01:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just like, oh, give me that sunrise.
• 1:01:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was sweet, it was too light.
• 1:01:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was good.
• 1:01:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I should have got two aparoles from the beginning.
• 1:01:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you should go on to up.
• 1:01:58
[SPEAKER_01]: They can never go wrong with an app.
• 1:02:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, and then... So I go on another walk.
• 1:02:03
[SPEAKER_01]: You only go on the walk, but before you go, I'm like, babe, can you get me another app, bro?
• 1:02:08
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not feeling anything at this point, but you only bruised me the other app, bro.
• 1:02:13
  [SPEAKER_01]: And then he leaves.
• 1:02:14
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm just like drinking that second apple all by myself.
• 1:02:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Sitting in the sun still haven't eaten anything.
• 1:02:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Just laying there and just straight.
• 1:02:23
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just sipping it because it tastes good.
• 1:02:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm forgetting and it's hot and I'm just like forgetting that it has alcohol and I'm just drinking it like it's juice.
• 1:02:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm meeting my book, whatever, and did I just start feeling the alcohol like hit me?
• 1:02:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's before I came, right?
• 1:02:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:02:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Because when I get okay, go ahead.
• 1:02:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I was struggling to read.
• 1:02:45
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like trying to read and all like then why am I like having a heart I'm like processing what I'm reading.
• 1:02:50
[SPEAKER_00]: You keep reading the same way.
• 1:02:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
• 1:02:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I kept going back and going back.
• 1:02:55
[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah this kind of happens to me quite often like especially in the summer because I won't realize I think I like drink a little bit more in the summer than in the winter just because it's like you know you got side you said on a terrace or on a patio you get a little wine
• 1:03:09
[SPEAKER_01]: And somehow it happens like I often drink without realizing I haven't eaten anything like right before.
• 1:03:16
[SPEAKER_01]: So then like I have a couple sips of wine and I'll be feeling I should in my head.
• 1:03:20
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:03:21
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's not good.
• 1:03:22
[SPEAKER_00]: At what point did I come back?
• 1:03:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Because when I came back you told me like babe, I think I'm kind of like I'm kind of drunk.
• 1:03:28
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember.
• 1:03:29
  [SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't bad.
• 1:03:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: You were like tipsy.
• 1:03:31
[SPEAKER_00]: You weren't like audit control, you know.
• 1:03:33
  [SPEAKER_01]: No, of course not.
• 1:03:34
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I was just like, I was just like a little bit more prone to falling over.
• 1:03:40
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, and then we left.
• 1:03:42
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we were there until like, I think fiveish, five, thirty maybe.
• 1:03:45
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we took the train.
• 1:03:48
[SPEAKER_00]: It was such a nice trainer, right, too.
• 1:03:50
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was.
• 1:03:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Everything was so perfect, like I came, like I wanna go back.
• 1:03:55
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was just so nice that we were so relaxed and...
• 1:03:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I really felt like some vacation shit.
• 1:04:00
[SPEAKER_01]: It felt like some vacation shit.
• 1:04:02
  [SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't like, oh, I gotta feel like I filmed what I what I filmed.
• 1:04:08
[SPEAKER_01]: But something about I don't know what even the film and felt chill.
• 1:04:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Like you didn't feel like you were just like filming what we were doing.
• 1:04:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I somehow just made peace with like something inside of my mind and I didn't stress that about like
• 1:04:23
[SPEAKER_01]: making sure that I get the best video and the best shot and the best this, like, I still did without stressing out about it.
• 1:04:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: I still did.
• 1:04:30
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm just saying, like, previously, like, when we went to Japan, I felt like I was so stressed about, you know, it was like, oh, we're in Japan.
• 1:04:37
[SPEAKER_01]: We're in Tokyo and Kyoto.
• 1:04:38
[SPEAKER_00]: We got to get, like, you felt like you had to perform like that.
• 1:04:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:04:42
  [SPEAKER_01]: I had to capture.
• 1:04:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:04:44
[SPEAKER_01]: And I remember, like, people DM me saying, like, can't wait to see Tokyo through your eyes and like, fuck, that's like pressure.
• 1:04:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, so yeah, but that's about it.
• 1:04:55
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
• 1:04:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, don't forget.
• 1:04:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Last but not least, people listening like, yeah, what about the meet up, y'all?
• 1:05:04
[SPEAKER_00]: We, I mean, this is like a whole story on its own because what happened?
• 1:05:11
[SPEAKER_01]: was on the last day, we decided that we were going to do a meetup.
• 1:05:14
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't in the last day.
• 1:05:15
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't in the last day.
• 1:05:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Because the meetup was going to be on the last day, but we didn't decide on the last day because we gave people a heads up.
• 1:05:22
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I just said we decided that on the last day, we were going to do a meetup.
• 1:05:27
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 1:05:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought you said we woke up on the last day and decided to do a meetup.
• 1:05:30
  [SPEAKER_01]: No.
• 1:05:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: Well, we were eating.
• 1:05:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:05:34
[SPEAKER_00]: We were talking around our timing was off a little bit.
• 1:05:36
[SPEAKER_01]: We were walking through Alfama, the neighborhood.
• 1:05:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: Shout it to Alfama.
• 1:05:40
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was very beautiful, very good vibes.
• 1:05:43
[SPEAKER_01]: And we went to this market, like a flea market.
• 1:05:46
[SPEAKER_01]: We're kind of walking around there, a little bit buying some like random little shit that said like Barcelona on it.
• 1:05:52
  [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm sorry, Portugal.
• 1:05:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, don't disrespect the episode.
• 1:05:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: I got a cheap ass ring.
• 1:05:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's by now.
• 1:05:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's already brown.
• 1:05:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you always buy these like cheap flea market rings that's a turn green.
• 1:06:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Cause in the moment, I'm just like, oh, this is cool.
• 1:06:07
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:06:08
[SPEAKER_00]: So the timing, it wasn't even that like the timing was wrong.
• 1:06:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like sometimes I just can't tell how much time is needed for things.
• 1:06:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know that part.
• 1:06:17
[SPEAKER_01]: And I really wanted to eat before we went to the meetup because I knew for a fact that we were probably going to miss our reservation that we had, which I'm still kind of sad about, because that restaurant was supposed to be really good.
• 1:06:32
[SPEAKER_01]: That we made at eight.
• 1:06:34
[SPEAKER_00]: The beat up was at five.
• 1:06:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: Six.
• 1:06:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was at five.
• 1:06:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I was five, right, right, right.
• 1:06:38
[SPEAKER_01]: And we arrived at six.
• 1:06:40
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:06:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, if you listen to this, the thing that kept going to my mind, wait.
• 1:06:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about what happened.
• 1:06:46
[SPEAKER_00]: No, let's talk about what happened.
• 1:06:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So, Alia wanted to eat.
• 1:06:49
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think like, Alia will be late.
• 1:06:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: We should leave.
• 1:06:52
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, no, I want to eat.
• 1:06:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, babe, we're going to be late.
• 1:06:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: I have to eat.
• 1:06:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, cool.
• 1:06:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: So we ate.
• 1:06:59
[SPEAKER_01]: We go to this restaurant.
• 1:07:01
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the restaurant where they kept not checking on us.
• 1:07:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
• 1:07:03
[SPEAKER_00]: And also, I'm not even trying to eat.
• 1:07:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:07:06
[SPEAKER_00]: My mind was on some like, I hope we make it there on time.
• 1:07:10
  [SPEAKER_00]: That it.
• 1:07:10
  [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
• 1:07:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Meanwhile, my phone is dying.
• 1:07:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I have like five percent.
• 1:07:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 1:07:17
[SPEAKER_01]: This is significant for later in the story, right?
• 1:07:20
  [SPEAKER_01]: So we're eating.
• 1:07:21
[SPEAKER_01]: We're finally finally ordered at this point.
• 1:07:24
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what time it is.
• 1:07:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Like we wasted a lot of time.
• 1:07:26
[SPEAKER_01]: We wasted a lot of time waiting for them to come to a just order what we wanted.
• 1:07:31
[SPEAKER_00]: And then when she finally comes, she's like, Oh, hey, you guys ready to order?
• 1:07:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, like, the pain ready.
• 1:07:36
  [SPEAKER_01]: Dan, don't call her.
• 1:07:37
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, no, sorry.
• 1:07:38
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't mean that.
• 1:07:39
[SPEAKER_00]: But in my head, I was like, Oh, we got shit to do.
• 1:07:42
  [SPEAKER_01]: So we order.
• 1:07:43
[SPEAKER_01]: And thankfully, the food comes out quite quick.
• 1:07:47
[SPEAKER_01]: And we're eating, you know, he's not really eating.
• 1:07:49
[SPEAKER_01]: He's just kind of eating whatever I give him.
• 1:07:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like feeding him, spoon feeding him.
• 1:07:54
[SPEAKER_01]: This octopus salad, that was amazing.
• 1:07:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Good thing the food actually tastes good.
• 1:07:58
[SPEAKER_00]: And then next, except the fish.
• 1:08:00
[SPEAKER_01]: By the time, oh yeah, and then I got these like grilled sardines.
• 1:08:03
[SPEAKER_01]: And then of course, like I didn't think about it, but there are full of bones.
• 1:08:07
[SPEAKER_00]: People say that you eat the bones.
• 1:08:09
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm not.
• 1:08:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Someone told me you eat the bones.
• 1:08:11
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like you eat the bones if you eat the bones your entire life.
• 1:08:14
  [SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm not Portuguese.
• 1:08:15
  [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't grow up there.
• 1:08:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: Not the big one.
• 1:08:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's the spine.
• 1:08:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you don't eat the spine.
• 1:08:20
[SPEAKER_01]: But like the tiny ones that I was painting out.
• 1:08:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:08:23
  [SPEAKER_01]: Not too much.
• 1:08:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, so then we leave, we pay and now we're like, okay, we either Uber home or walk home.
• 1:08:34
[SPEAKER_01]: The walk home was like twenty minutes.
• 1:08:38
[SPEAKER_01]: And really, okay, let's Uber.
• 1:08:39
[SPEAKER_01]: The problem is that where we were, you can't call the Uber from there.
• 1:08:45
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're like, okay, we got to walk a little bit outside of the street that we're on to more of a main street to get an Uber.
• 1:08:52
[SPEAKER_01]: The next problem is my phone is dying and I probably can't, I had like three percent at this point.
• 1:08:59
  [SPEAKER_01]: So I can't call an Uber.
• 1:09:00
  [SPEAKER_00]: What about Yoni?
• 1:09:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Yoni can't call an Uber because his credit card, debit card, whatever bank card was being a little shit and wasn't working for some reason.
• 1:09:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And you just kept forgetting to call the bank to ferry the shit out because it kept getting declined.
• 1:09:17
[SPEAKER_01]: So we couldn't use your Uber to go.
• 1:09:20
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're like, okay, we gotta go home.
• 1:09:24
[SPEAKER_01]: So we start walking home, twenty minutes.
• 1:09:26
[SPEAKER_01]: We get home, we're like, okay, we have a little bit of time because our plan was to Uber from our Airbnb to Estella Park, which was supposed to be only a twenty minute Uber ride too.
• 1:09:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, twenty minute Uber.
• 1:09:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I will look at that.
• 1:09:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 1:09:41
[SPEAKER_00]: So technically, even after all the eating and meat think it will be late, we were still good.
• 1:09:46
[SPEAKER_01]: We were still good to like, we still had time.
• 1:09:49
[SPEAKER_01]: We calculated that we're going to go home by time we go home.
• 1:09:52
[SPEAKER_01]: We were like, okay, we can both shower and rinse off because we were so sweaty.
• 1:09:57
[SPEAKER_01]: We had been like speedwalking.
• 1:09:59
[SPEAKER_00]: We did not want to go to the meet up sweaty.
• 1:10:02
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:10:03
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're like, here, we have time to take a shower each, change our clothes, maybe drink some water, and then order it over and go to the, go to the park.
• 1:10:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Time in there at five.
• 1:10:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Time in was perfectly planned.
• 1:10:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:10:18
[SPEAKER_01]: So we do all that.
• 1:10:21
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we look at how long a drive would be, or how long the Uber would be.
• 1:10:28
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's said we were going to get there at five, thirty.
• 1:10:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Where like how's that hell is it gonna be five thirty then I go on Google Maps to see like just how long it would take to drive there.
• 1:10:39
  [SPEAKER_01]: It said forty minutes.
• 1:10:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like how did it go from twenty to forty in like the span of one hour.
• 1:10:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I have no idea.
• 1:10:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's because they were working a lot and then it's not like a straight line like it was the streets were closed for like a festival.
• 1:10:54
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, because June is like a festive month in Portugal.
• 1:10:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of shit.
• 1:11:00
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was like that day, because I think there was like on a Friday.
• 1:11:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:11:04
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was that Friday that was like the beginning of the weekend that starting at a certain time.
• 1:11:10
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like the streets were closing and of course like the area that we were staying in was like the area where all those main streets were like clothes and there was a lot of traffic Yeah, um We spent twenty minutes just getting out of our little neighborhood Eventually so before we were like okay now we can't take the car.
• 1:11:31
  [SPEAKER_01]: Let's take the bus
• 1:11:33
[SPEAKER_01]: the bus was supposed to get there like so fast we like we're going downstairs and I was okay let's go take the bus where's the bus station oh it's right here okay the bus is coming in one minute so we're like running to the bus yeah and I'm thinking this is going to be perfect yeah because we still could have been on time because the bus was I mean at that point we realized we were going to be late but not that late
• 1:11:53
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 1:11:54
[SPEAKER_01]: We were like, oh, the bus says like it's gonna be here at like five, oh, nine.
• 1:12:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was then.
• 1:12:01
[SPEAKER_01]: And if we take this bus, we're gonna arrive at like five, twenty five or something like that.
• 1:12:06
[SPEAKER_00]: And I hate the feeling.
• 1:12:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I was feeling in my body at that point.
• 1:12:10
[SPEAKER_00]: You guys, I'm telling you, if you were at the meetup, I just want you to know.
• 1:12:14
[SPEAKER_00]: This is like the last thing.
• 1:12:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I respect like, you know, this, this is what's going to my mind, right?
• 1:12:22
[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to think that we don't take their time, seriously.
• 1:12:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:12:26
[SPEAKER_00]: They think that we're, that we're just going to act like some, you know, like now respecting anybody's time.
• 1:12:32
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's respectful and we are not these people at all.
• 1:12:37
[SPEAKER_00]: But imagine you go to a meetup and then it's just like, because I put it in the little group chat that we had that we're running late.
• 1:12:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that we're running late.
• 1:12:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was like ten, ten, ten, ten, ten.
• 1:12:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, ten, fifteen.
• 1:12:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I would have felt bad about that.
• 1:12:47
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:12:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I felt so bad and then people were spun, okay, cool, we're here, people are still coming and I felt so grateful that people were so patient and chill about it.
• 1:12:55
[SPEAKER_00]: But then it was just like, at that point, we didn't even get into Uber.
• 1:12:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought when I said ten, fifteen is when I was sure that that was going to be the time that we're going to get there with the calculation that we made.
• 1:13:07
[SPEAKER_01]: So basically what happened is we're waiting for this bus to come and it's just not coming.
• 1:13:13
[SPEAKER_01]: At first, there was this little like screen that it says like bus coming in one minute and then like less than a minute, whatever.
• 1:13:20
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the screen just like turns into like this line and there's just nothing.
• 1:13:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember looking around, I just wanted to see a bus.
• 1:13:28
  [SPEAKER_01]: There was no bus.
• 1:13:30
[SPEAKER_01]: No buses at all coming.
• 1:13:33
[SPEAKER_01]: And we are waiting there for a little bit.
• 1:13:35
[SPEAKER_01]: We're waiting for there for a little bit.
• 1:13:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Then we're like, okay, fuck, we can't take the bus.
• 1:13:39
[SPEAKER_01]: We gotta take the Uber.
• 1:13:41
  [SPEAKER_01]: We order a Uber.
• 1:13:42
  [SPEAKER_01]: Ten, ten minutes away.
• 1:13:46
[SPEAKER_01]: And then after it's ten minutes away, then it's another thirty minutes just to get through the park.
• 1:13:49
[SPEAKER_01]: So there's forty minutes right there.
• 1:13:51
[SPEAKER_01]: And we're already like, it's already been five.
• 1:13:54
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just points like five, twenty.
• 1:13:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: Right.
• 1:13:56
  [SPEAKER_01]: And we're split.
• 1:13:57
[SPEAKER_01]: The meetup is that five guys.
• 1:13:58
[SPEAKER_00]: The middle piece of five.
• 1:13:59
[SPEAKER_00]: So we're looking at the time like, you know how the Uber just tells you what time you're gonna get there and you see that number and it says like, five, forty five.
• 1:14:07
  [SPEAKER_00]: Five, fifty, three.
• 1:14:08
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, oh, my God.
• 1:14:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: I felt so bad.
• 1:14:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:14:12
[SPEAKER_00]: So once again, even though like, you know, everybody understood stuff like that, I'm just gonna apologize for the both of us again.
• 1:14:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no guys really not want to do this shit, you know, it was it was it was just like the perfect storm on us, but it's it's also because we didn't know if you if you know and you live there, you know, this is now how you gonna calculate this time yeah
• 1:14:36
[SPEAKER_01]: And he said that it was going to be a twenty minute drive.
• 1:14:41
  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking, I'm not thinking anything.
• 1:14:44
[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to be twenty minutes.
• 1:14:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
• 1:14:47
[SPEAKER_01]: So then we felt like we also felt so helpless.
• 1:14:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I felt so I was like I don't and and just knowing the fact that there's people like waiting on you and this is like a restaurant reservation.
• 1:14:58
[SPEAKER_01]: This is like people that like came to see you.
• 1:15:01
[SPEAKER_01]: It's so I felt so terrible and we just felt so like okay now, okay, let's try to while we're waiting for this Uber.
• 1:15:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see if we maybe can get a taxi because there's so many taxis like coming and we kept asking him and they're like, oh no, I'm waiting for a Rachel or something, you know?
• 1:15:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just there was a point where I just started talking to any card that was coming by like all the ubers that were lining up I was like maybe we can just get in one of this yeah excuse me can we get in over yeah Christina no sorry Christina like they're waiting for people obviously but I was so like
• 1:15:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Help list that I was talking to any car.
• 1:15:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I feel like we probably looked crazy Yeah, but then there was a car that came and it was like a taxi and we were finally able to get in right and then I was just like hey Are you available?
• 1:15:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is the address show them the phone.
• 1:15:48
[SPEAKER_00]: This is where we're going.
• 1:15:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: He's like okay cool.
• 1:15:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: No problem.
• 1:15:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Then Ali is like wait Can we do credit card?
• 1:15:53
[SPEAKER_00]: And then guys like no cash only I don't even think I said anything.
• 1:15:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: I just got out
• 1:15:58
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:15:59
[SPEAKER_01]: We did not have cash at all, especially who knows how much that was going to be.
• 1:16:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And then, too, looking for ATM, like, where?
• 1:16:05
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
• 1:16:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:16:06
[SPEAKER_01]: That makes me feel like so mad.
• 1:16:10
  [SPEAKER_01]: So we get out.
• 1:16:12
[SPEAKER_01]: We throw around some swear word and all that.
• 1:16:15
[SPEAKER_01]: And then, and then, our Uber finally arrives, you know?
• 1:16:17
[SPEAKER_00]: We got in the other taxi while the other Uber was still coming.
• 1:16:20
[SPEAKER_00]: So we had to just like back up on the back up.
• 1:16:22
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:16:22
[SPEAKER_01]: And the Uber took longer than ten minutes, took more like fifteen minutes, because the traffic was just, yeah.
• 1:16:28
[SPEAKER_01]: saying it was crazy and then we finally got in the car and then we were in the car for like thirty minutes and we arrived at the park I almost want to tell the guy like yo can we just run through every red light and I'll just pay the ticket
• 1:16:40
[SPEAKER_01]: No, but it wasn't even that.
• 1:16:42
[SPEAKER_01]: It was just like, uh, I don't even know how you say it in English, but it was like, it was like, car to car.
• 1:16:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the whole time, you know how when you like rushing somewhere, but then you just, there's no car moving.
• 1:16:53
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not even about like, you're far away and you're just late.
• 1:16:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:16:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: You can't go fast.
• 1:16:58
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:16:58
[SPEAKER_01]: No, there's just cars in front of you.
• 1:17:00
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:17:00
  [SPEAKER_01]: Just like standing.
• 1:17:02
[SPEAKER_00]: So we get to the park anyways.
• 1:17:03
[SPEAKER_00]: We get to the park and then we walk in.
• 1:17:05
[SPEAKER_01]: And I really thought it was going to be maybe like five people or something like that.
• 1:17:09
[SPEAKER_01]: But you guys, I did not expect.
• 1:17:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we said hello to two girls.
• 1:17:13
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, two girls first.
• 1:17:14
[SPEAKER_00]: We saw like they got up as soon as we got to, um, and I feel like I was so frazzled coming out of the car.
• 1:17:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I, not that I forgot why we were there.
• 1:17:21
[SPEAKER_01]: But like I also thought that people were going to be like sitting at the cafe because we set up the meat spot, the the meaning spot as banana cafe.
• 1:17:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to banana cafe.
• 1:17:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: You know you know.
• 1:17:32
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a cafe that's like at the entrance of the park.
• 1:17:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:17:36
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm thinking like, okay, we're gonna walk to the cafe and then whoever's here, like they're probably sitting together.
• 1:17:43
[SPEAKER_01]: They probably are like, oh, are you here for the meetup?
• 1:17:44
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, me too.
• 1:17:45
  [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
• 1:17:46
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they like started talking.
• 1:17:47
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I was expecting to walk into.
• 1:17:49
[SPEAKER_01]: But then we walk in.
• 1:17:50
[SPEAKER_00]: You see how to the two girls.
• 1:17:52
[SPEAKER_00]: I forgot your name you guys, but you know who you are.
• 1:17:55
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they get up, they walk towards us.
• 1:17:57
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm just like, okay, cool.
• 1:17:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just talk to who is here.
• 1:18:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I said, what kind of interacting with them?
• 1:18:01
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:18:02
[SPEAKER_00]: As we're talking to them, I'm looking at them.
• 1:18:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm looking around the park.
• 1:18:06
[SPEAKER_01]: But then I see someone else sort of like inching closer to us and like really purposely looking at us.
• 1:18:11
[SPEAKER_00]: You guys, I look up and it felt like like the park was like almost coming towards you.
• 1:18:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, okay, it wasn't right away.
• 1:18:19
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like first it was like, okay, there was one more person.
• 1:18:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:18:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Then it was like two more.
• 1:18:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Then from like from from another angle, there's like three more.
• 1:18:28
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we like, like, are kind of making our way into the park and we're kind of just like meeting more and more and more.
• 1:18:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I was just walking with everybody was a whole whole gang.
• 1:18:37
[SPEAKER_01]: And then it ended up being that we were kind of like in the center of a circle of like, forty people.
• 1:18:43
  [SPEAKER_01]: It was crazy.
• 1:18:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, it was amazing.
• 1:18:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's not a, it's not a, it's not a complaint.
• 1:18:48
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, I'm not complaining.
• 1:18:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I'm just saying, we're in the middle of, I'm just like, no, this is, this is exactly what happened.
• 1:18:54
[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm just, I'm, I'm, it felt like, uh, because this never, never happened.
• 1:18:59
[SPEAKER_00]: We never met this many people like in person.
• 1:19:01
[SPEAKER_01]: There's no other like, there's no other instance in like a person's life where they're going to go somewhere where they don't know how many people they're about to meet up with.
• 1:19:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Like how many people let's say you go on a blind date you don't expect to see sixty of them right?
• 1:19:15
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like one but here it's like we didn't know how many people was gonna be and I really just didn't expect it to be like so many and then the next thing was like okay, where are we gonna go with all these people?
• 1:19:29
[SPEAKER_01]: We were gonna go like we said because we were late we apologize we're so sorry we're like okay we gotta get some drinks Yeah, so we went to banana cafe and everybody just follows us inside this cafe that nobody was in the people working there were looking at us like what the fuck is this what you know when you work at a coffee shop and you see a big group Kind of like close to your window like if you work at a coffee shop, you know that you don't want them to come in
• 1:19:55
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want them to come in.
• 1:19:56
[SPEAKER_00]: So that was them probably.
• 1:19:58
[SPEAKER_00]: And then it was like... Fordia, I feel like... No, it's definitely like total fordia people with us.
• 1:20:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then my suggestion was, let's just get to make up for being late.
• 1:20:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just get everybody lemonade.
• 1:20:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Alias like what what if someone doesn't want them in it I was like what is it everyone just order their drink and then I was like Ali are you crazy not because of any other reason, but just like
• 1:20:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just, they already got to make fifty drinks.
• 1:20:28
  [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think about it.
• 1:20:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, clearly.
• 1:20:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just like, lemonade for everybody, please.
• 1:20:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: And that's it.
• 1:20:33
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, is everybody cool with lemonade?
• 1:20:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody was like, yeah, that's cool.
• 1:20:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody's going to be like, no, I actually want like a ice match allotted.
• 1:20:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that would be so crazy.
• 1:20:42
[SPEAKER_00]: The fact that you wanted to order like, and then you love to like, grow.
• 1:20:46
  [SPEAKER_01]: Who's drink is who's?
• 1:20:47
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I was fragile.
• 1:20:50
  [SPEAKER_01]: Like a big string.
• 1:20:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no.
• 1:20:52
[SPEAKER_00]: It was so, so funny, but we got the drinks and then I never been to this park so I was just asking people like, yo, what's a good spot to go?
• 1:21:00
[SPEAKER_01]: There was people that had lived in Lisbon and are from there that had never been to that park either.
• 1:21:05
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:21:05
  [SPEAKER_01]: That's so funny.
• 1:21:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought we were going to be able to sit at the cafe because there's still some chairs outside and tables, but we would have taken over.
• 1:21:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: Huh?
• 1:21:13
[SPEAKER_01]: We would have taken over.
• 1:21:14
[SPEAKER_00]: There's also not enough seats, like the old that we're sitting there.
• 1:21:18
[SPEAKER_01]: We could have rearranged, I think.
• 1:21:19
  [SPEAKER_01]: But still.
• 1:21:20
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, I looked.
• 1:21:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: You were frazzled.
• 1:21:23
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is my part.
• 1:21:24
  [SPEAKER_01]: I was seeing shit.
• 1:21:26
[SPEAKER_00]: You were seeing more tables like.
• 1:21:29
[SPEAKER_01]: So we decided to go find a nice grassy area.
• 1:21:33
[SPEAKER_01]: And while we're doing this, like, I just didn't know what, like, I was like, do I talk to the people?
• 1:21:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, who do I talk to?
• 1:21:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I just really didn't expect to be so many people.
• 1:21:43
[SPEAKER_01]: So I was like, I was in the moment trying to figure out, like, how are we going to navigate this whole thing?
• 1:21:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is also someone you've never met before, you know?
• 1:21:50
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:21:51
[SPEAKER_00]: But me, I felt like I was like right into it.
• 1:21:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I was like walking, I was talking to this person.
• 1:21:55
[SPEAKER_00]: So like, where you're from?
• 1:21:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, thanks for coming.
• 1:21:57
[SPEAKER_00]: And then, oh, where you're from, like, I recognize some people that I would talk to.
• 1:22:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're more active on the, on the, like, what's the juice, like channels and stuff?
• 1:22:07
[SPEAKER_01]: So you just like recognize people.
• 1:22:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, I definitely did.
• 1:22:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, shout out to Maria.
• 1:22:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's the first person I I recognized.
• 1:22:14
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:22:15
[SPEAKER_01]: That's who I. And she also came all the way from Porto.
• 1:22:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes, which is crazy.
• 1:22:21
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we appreciate.
• 1:22:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
• 1:22:23
[SPEAKER_00]: So much because we really did like.
• 1:22:26
[SPEAKER_00]: We had a lot of back and forth on our personal channel, the WTJ channels, you know, so I was so happy to see her there that she made it and she brought her friend with her too.
• 1:22:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to your friend, you know, she was like, yo, she told me like, I asked my friend if she wants to do it day trip to Lisbon, you know, she probably, her friend probably don't even listen to her podcast.
• 1:22:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:22:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I'll come with you.
• 1:22:46
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the front you want to have you guys.
• 1:22:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 1:22:48
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:22:48
[SPEAKER_00]: That's in your front like that.
• 1:22:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Because you don't know that train ride is like three, four hours.
• 1:22:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:22:53
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:22:53
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:22:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Something like that.
• 1:22:54
[SPEAKER_00]: But it was so cool to see everybody.
• 1:22:57
[SPEAKER_00]: We really I got to know like I think I talked we talked to everybody.
• 1:23:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we got to talk to everyone.
• 1:23:01
[SPEAKER_01]: At first I was like, we all sat in a circle, we're just talking and I didn't want anybody to feel like they weren't being talked to, but at the same time it was like since it was only two of us and there was so many more people.
• 1:23:15
[SPEAKER_00]: You can only talk to one person at a time.
• 1:23:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you can only talk like so much, but it was also helpful that there's no two of us.
• 1:23:22
[SPEAKER_01]: So then you can kind of like talk to have the people I can talk to have the people.
• 1:23:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I was jumping around and I was like, it was good.
• 1:23:28
[SPEAKER_01]: No, it was a great time.
• 1:23:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like, wow, like, why haven't we, sorry, I shouldn't say we.
• 1:23:33
  [SPEAKER_01]: Why haven't I done this before?
• 1:23:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Because Yoni's been pressing me to do like meetups, but I just always felt like nobody's going to come.
• 1:23:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Or did you want to?
• 1:23:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I did when I entered last year.
• 1:23:43
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:23:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: Seven, eight people came.
• 1:23:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're listening to this shout out to, I appreciate you for hanging out that night, I will never forget.
• 1:23:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Lisbon night, I will never forget.
• 1:23:54
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Copenhagen, I'll never forget.
• 1:23:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Like those are just moments that even twenty years from now, I'm just gonna be like a baby.
• 1:24:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember when we did the meetup in Lisbon, like I'm just gonna remember that said thank you guys for coming for listening to the podcast, making time out of your day to just come and just hang out with these people from the internet.
• 1:24:14
[SPEAKER_00]: You just listen to and it was so special you know like
• 1:24:19
[SPEAKER_01]: after we sat like when once people started to like leave and like trickle out like once one person leaves then you like you know you go talk to them and you kind of get to have like that one on one which for me that was like the most impact that was like getting to talk to every single person and because it tells you like more more background you know like tell you guys start listening at this point and this is what you know this is like my favorite ton of listen and like this one was one of my favorite videos that you may like I was walking
• 1:24:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I was listening to the part if I'm walking my dog, doing dishes or working now.
• 1:24:54
[SPEAKER_00]: It was just so cool to hear all these different stories.
• 1:24:57
[SPEAKER_00]: There was no story that was similar.
• 1:25:00
[SPEAKER_00]: We were just so grateful.
• 1:25:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: You thought that
• 1:25:04
[SPEAKER_00]: You guys were happy to see us, so we were happy to see us.
• 1:25:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I was in awe, like, I didn't know what to do.
• 1:25:10
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, truly.
• 1:25:12
[SPEAKER_00]: It was, it was so cool.
• 1:25:13
[SPEAKER_01]: So more meetups to come.
• 1:25:15
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like this would just become a tradition, wherever we travel together.
• 1:25:18
  [SPEAKER_01]: We're just probably gonna do a meet-up there.
• 1:25:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Because they're just way more chilled than I expected.
• 1:25:26
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why.
• 1:25:27
  [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like.
• 1:25:28
[SPEAKER_00]: I got shit from this dude.
• 1:25:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Now so felt like if we do a meet-up, we gotta like prepare.
• 1:25:31
[SPEAKER_01]: We gotta like do something like, I don't know.
• 1:25:32
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to prepare a speech?
• 1:25:34
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
• 1:25:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was cool.
• 1:25:36
[SPEAKER_00]: We took a group photo with everyone and yeah, it was amazing.
• 1:25:40
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was amazing.
• 1:25:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what happened to the cups because I thought that these cups were supposed to go back to the banana cafe.
• 1:25:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I guess like it was a kid to just throw them out.
• 1:25:51
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
• 1:25:52
[SPEAKER_00]: because at some point I was just like, oh shit, where are the cops?
• 1:25:55
[SPEAKER_00]: So they come from the restaurant?
• 1:25:57
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, really?
• 1:25:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I see, I kind of blacked out.
• 1:26:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you blacked out for sure.
• 1:26:03
[SPEAKER_01]: There was so much going on, but yeah, you guys, that is about it for this episode.
• 1:26:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's about it.

• 1:26:49
[SPEAKER_00]: And we really appreciate you and
• 1:26:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Who knows, one day like we might be back in Lisbon, but if we go back to Portugal, it's gonna be Porto.
• 1:26:58
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, not just, I think I would want to go back to Lisbon, but we definitely should plan to go to Porto.

[SPEAKER_00]: You laughed because how I like broke down my words, right?
• 1:27:25
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:27:25
  [SPEAKER_01]: Like what you took?
• 1:27:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.

• 1:28:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you listen to this while you were driving to work.
