- 2:55SPEAKER_04: I want to encourage Christians today who have been hurt, who have been disappointed or betrayed or overlooked.
- 3:06SPEAKER_04: Uh just courage while serving God.
- 3:11SPEAKER_04: I want you to remain faithful.
- 3:14SPEAKER_04: Seek healing.

- 3:19SPEAKER_04: Are you listening?
- 3:22SPEAKER_04: Hallelujah.
- 3:24SPEAKER_04: I might be wounded, yes.
- 3:26SPEAKER_04: Well, I'm still serving.
- 3:31SPEAKER_04: Some people today who who know what it means to keep serving while carrying wounds that nobody else can see.
- 3:42SPEAKER_04: Because everybody who comes to church smiling is not necessarily happy.
- 3:49SPEAKER_04: Everybody who lifts their hands in worship is not free from pain.
- 3:55SPEAKER_04: Everybody who sings in the choirs is not singing without sorrow.
- 4:00SPEAKER_04: Everybody who preaches the word is not preaching without personal struggles.
- 4:07SPEAKER_04: Everybody who encourages somebody else does not always have someone encouraging them.
- 4:15SPEAKER_04: And everybody who says, praise the Lord, might be fighting a battle that no one knows anything about.
- 4:23SPEAKER_04: Glory be to God.
- 4:26SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 4:29SPEAKER_04: Sometimes people who are helping everybody else are the very people who need somebody to help them.
- 4:38SPEAKER_04: Yes, oh yes.
- 4:40SPEAKER_04: There are ushers standing at the door, welcoming people while dealing with the problems at home.
- 4:47SPEAKER_04: There are deacons serving faithfully while carrying the family burden.
- 4:54SPEAKER_04: There are mothers praying for everybody else's children while crying over their own.
- 5:01SPEAKER_04: There are ministers preaching hope while privately fighting discouragement.
- 5:08SPEAKER_04: There are pastors who have to encourage the congregation, even with themselves, need encouragement.
- 5:17SPEAKER_04: Some people are serving God with tears in their eyes, with pain in their hearts, and questions in their mind.
- 5:25SPEAKER_04: But they have made up their minds.
- 5:28SPEAKER_04: I might be wounded, hotama see you.
- 5:31SPEAKER_04: But I'm still serving.
- 5:34SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 5:37SPEAKER_04: Don't mistake your wounds for weakness.
- 5:45SPEAKER_04: We must understand being wounded is not the same as being defeated.
- 5:53SPEAKER_04: You may be wounded and still have faith.
- 5:58SPEAKER_04: And you can be discouraged and still have hope.
- 6:02SPEAKER_04: You can be tired and still love God.
- 6:05SPEAKER_04: But you can be hurting and still have purpose.
- 6:09SPEAKER_04: But we must also remember that God never intended us to ignore our wounds.
- 6:16SPEAKER_04: Sometimes faithful service means allowing ourselves time to rest, to receive help and heal.
- 6:31SPEAKER_04: Are you listening?
- 6:33SPEAKER_04: Hallelujah.
- 6:35SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 6:37SPEAKER_04: I want to encourage someone out there to this morning.
- 6:43SPEAKER_04: Don't give up.
- 6:50SPEAKER_04: It was about different seven kinds of wounds Christians experienced while serving God.
- 6:55SPEAKER_04: One of them, it could be wounds of betrayal.
- 7:00SPEAKER_04: Being hurt by somebody you trusted.
- 7:05SPEAKER_04: You trusted the person, you you talk to the person, you tell them your personal information, and they go behind your back.
- 7:17SPEAKER_04: No confidentiality.
- 7:21SPEAKER_04: And just tell everybody what you're going through.
- 7:28SPEAKER_04: That's but that's betrayal.
- 7:31SPEAKER_04: You talk to someone in confidence about something.
- 7:35SPEAKER_04: You you pray, you get them to, you know, you have a prayer partner.
- 7:40SPEAKER_04: Some of them are not prayer partners, they're betrayal partners.
- 7:46SPEAKER_04: That's why you have to be careful of the people that you confide in.
- 7:52SPEAKER_04: Hallelujah.
- 7:53SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 7:57SPEAKER_04: Betrayal.
- 7:59SPEAKER_04: Hurt by somebody you trusted.
- 8:03SPEAKER_04: Then there's there's wounds of rejection.
- 8:07SPEAKER_04: Being excluded, abandoned, unwanted.
- 8:13SPEAKER_04: You rejected, cast aside, cast out.
- 8:20SPEAKER_04: Then there's wounds of disappointment.
- 8:23SPEAKER_04: When things don't turn out as you expected them to turn out.
- 8:40SPEAKER_04: Amen.
- 8:42SPEAKER_04: What they how they say six and stone won't break my bone and talk won't never hurt me or something like that.
- 8:49SPEAKER_04: But yes, it will.
- 8:54SPEAKER_04: Criticism.
- 8:57SPEAKER_04: Criticism can be a wound.
- 9:01SPEAKER_04: Being attacked while trying to do what is right.
- 9:07SPEAKER_04: Being attacked while trying to do everything.
- 9:12SPEAKER_04: Trying to do what is right and you attack and you criticize for it.
- 9:20SPEAKER_04: Sticks and stone might break my bone, but talk would never hurt me.
- 9:23SPEAKER_04: Criticism can be a wound.
- 9:28SPEAKER_04: Wounds of loneliness.
- 9:31SPEAKER_04: You know, feel like nobody understands your struggle.
- 9:36SPEAKER_04: That can be a wound.
- 9:40SPEAKER_04: And then the wounds of exhaustion.
- 9:43SPEAKER_04: You're giving so much that you become emotional and physically drained.
- 9:50SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah, I've been there.
- 9:53SPEAKER_04: But you know what?
- 9:56SPEAKER_04: You don't let the wounds of betrayal or rejection or disappointments or criticism or loneliness or exhaustion or whatever stop you.
- 10:07SPEAKER_04: Oh, I might take a break.
- 10:09SPEAKER_04: You know, you get hit hard sometime, you gotta recuperate.
- 10:15SPEAKER_04: Go somewhere and think things over and pray and get your scrimp back.
- 10:20SPEAKER_04: You know, a football player, they be out there playing and they get tackled sometime.
- 10:26SPEAKER_04: Sometimes they get they get, you know, the limbs broken or something out of place, and they have to, they don't quit the football.
- 10:34SPEAKER_04: They just get, they just, they get repaired.
- 10:39SPEAKER_04: And they come back on the field.
- 10:42SPEAKER_04: Hallelujah.
- 10:45SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 10:46SPEAKER_04: And I've seen some players play hurt.
- 10:50SPEAKER_04: They still in the game and they're hurt.
- 10:55SPEAKER_04: But they still, I'm gonna get this game through because I know we gotta win this.
- 11:01SPEAKER_04: I've seen I remember Kirk Gibson, I think he was a Dodgers.
- 11:08SPEAKER_04: Kirk Gibson played for it.
- 11:09SPEAKER_04: He was he was hurt.
- 11:12SPEAKER_04: But I think they sent him up to pinch it.
- 11:15SPEAKER_04: And he hit that home run, the man was in pain.
- 11:19SPEAKER_04: Hallelujah.
- 11:21SPEAKER_04: But we don't give up.
- 11:24SPEAKER_04: Wounds of ingratitude.
- 11:27SPEAKER_04: You're helping others who never acknowledge your sacrifice, but that's okay.
- 11:38SPEAKER_04: But here's what makes these wounds especially painful.
- 11:44SPEAKER_04: Sometimes the deepest wounds come from the very people you was trying to help.
- 11:50SPEAKER_04: That is true.
- 11:53SPEAKER_04: That is so true.
- 11:55SPEAKER_04: I had to learn that in ministry.
- 11:59SPEAKER_04: Sometimes the very people you help talk about you.
- 12:07SPEAKER_04: And I had to learn the very people you help be the first one to book up on you.
- 12:13SPEAKER_04: And that used to really hurt me.
- 12:17SPEAKER_04: I've done all I can, going all out of my way to try to help this individual.
- 12:24SPEAKER_04: And they turned their back on you.
- 12:29SPEAKER_04: And that used to really, really get to me.
- 12:34SPEAKER_04: Until I took it to God.
- 12:37SPEAKER_04: And I said, Lord, what the Lord told me and said, You know they did it to me.
- 12:46SPEAKER_04: Hallelujah.
- 12:47SPEAKER_04: If they did it to the green tree, what about the dry tree?
- 12:53SPEAKER_04: And the Lord says, Listen, pick yourself up.
- 12:57SPEAKER_04: People will be people.
- 13:00SPEAKER_04: Sometimes up, sometime down, and sometimes they're level to the ground.
- 13:06SPEAKER_04: But you stay consistent.
- 13:09SPEAKER_04: You keep your focus, your eyes on me, not on like uh Peter when he walked on water to go to Jesus and he looked and saw all the other stuff, the waves and praise God, and realized he's walking on water, he began to sink.
- 13:30SPEAKER_04: I thank God that God didn't let him sink because he cried out, Lord save me.
- 13:36SPEAKER_04: One of the shortest prayers you could pray, Lord save me.
- 13:40SPEAKER_04: He never sunk.
- 13:42SPEAKER_04: But he started looking around.
- 13:46SPEAKER_04: When you start looking around and looking around at people, amen, who hurt you or whatever, it brings discouragement to you.
- 14:00SPEAKER_04: David experienced it.
- 14:02SPEAKER_04: Yes, he did.
- 14:03SPEAKER_04: Moses experienced.
- 14:12SPEAKER_04: Some said, I wish I was back in Egypt.
- 14:14SPEAKER_04: At least we had the food, we had the leaks, we had the garlic, we had everything we wanted back there.
- 14:20SPEAKER_04: And you're gonna bring us out here to die.
- 14:21SPEAKER_04: The first trial they had, Paul experienced it.
- 14:26SPEAKER_04: Some of the very people he helped but got saved in his ministry came against him.
- 14:33SPEAKER_04: Hallelujah.
- 14:35SPEAKER_04: And we know Jesus experienced rejection and betrayal.
- 14:39SPEAKER_04: But the good news is that the same God who called you into service is able to sustain you through your suffering.
- 14:51SPEAKER_04: Hallelujah.
- 14:54SPEAKER_04: That's guys, that's that's gotta be why there's gotta be some reason why we keep on serving when we are wounded.
- 15:03SPEAKER_04: Number one, your wounds does not cancel your calling.
- 15:11SPEAKER_04: Joseph was wounded by the very people who should have loved and protected him.
- 15:17SPEAKER_04: His own brothers hated him, stripped him of his coat.
- 15:23SPEAKER_04: Well, they hated him, but he was stripped of his stripped of his coat, thrown into pit, sold into slavery.
- 15:31SPEAKER_04: He was separated from his father, he was false accused by Potter's wife, forgotten in prison, but through every painful experience, God was still working.
- 15:47SPEAKER_04: And one of the scriptures in Genesis 15 and 20 says, But as for you, you thought evil against me, but God meant it for good.
- 16:02SPEAKER_04: To bring to pass, at his day, to serve much people alive.
- 16:08SPEAKER_04: Notice what Joseph said.
- 16:11SPEAKER_04: He didn't deny that his brother had done evil, he didn't pretend the betrayal never happened.
- 16:18SPEAKER_04: He acknowledged the wrong, but he also recognized God's greater purpose.
- 16:25SPEAKER_04: What people did to you does not have the final authority of what God can do through you.
- 16:47SPEAKER_04: Joseph was wounded, but he evidently became an instrument of deliverance for the very family that had betrayed him.
- 17:00SPEAKER_04: Don't allow anybody else's treatment of you to convince you that God has abandoned your purpose.
- 17:21SPEAKER_04: Hallelujah.
- 17:22SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 17:25SPEAKER_04: Your pain does not mean God has abandoned you.
- 17:31SPEAKER_04: You know what Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4, 8 and 9?
- 17:36SPEAKER_04: We're troubled on every side, but yet not distressed.
- 17:41SPEAKER_04: We are perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not forsaken, cast down but not destroyed.
- 17:51SPEAKER_04: Paul knew what it meant to serve God while suffering.
- 17:55SPEAKER_04: He was beaten, he was imprisoned, he was rejected, he was misunderstood, he experienced danger, hunger, hardship, yet Paul refused, oh hallelujah, to interpret every hardship as evidence that God had forsaken him.
- 18:17SPEAKER_04: Notice the contrast in his testimony.
- 18:21SPEAKER_04: Troubled, but not crushed beyond recovery, perplexed, but not without hope, persecuted but not abandoned, cast down, but not destroyed.
- 18:36SPEAKER_04: Paul was not pretending that he had no problem.
- 18:40SPEAKER_04: He was declaring that his problem did not have the final word.
- 18:45SPEAKER_04: My trouble is real, but so is my God.
- 18:50SPEAKER_04: Hallelujah.
- 18:51SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 18:54SPEAKER_04: Oh, hallelujah.
- 18:56SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Lord.
- 18:58SPEAKER_04: Just because you're going through something doesn't mean God has stopped walking with you.
- 19:05SPEAKER_04: Praise God.
- 19:09SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 19:11SPEAKER_04: Many.
- 19:14SPEAKER_04: Psalm 34, 19.
- 19:16SPEAKER_04: Many are the affliction of the righteous, but the Lord will deliver them out of all.
- 19:23SPEAKER_04: The Bible doesn't say the right the righteous will never experience affliction.
- 19:30SPEAKER_04: It said God is our deliverer.
- 19:34SPEAKER_04: Praise God.
- 19:36SPEAKER_04: And then you know what?
- 19:38SPEAKER_04: Sometimes we must encourage yourself while you're wounded.
- 19:42SPEAKER_04: David returned to Ziglag, that was in 1 Samuel 30, and discovered that the Amakites had attacked the city, burned it, taken the women and children captive.
- 19:57SPEAKER_04: David and his men were devastated.
- 20:01SPEAKER_04: But in 1 Samuel 30 and verse number 4, then David and the people that was with him lifted up their voice and wept until they had no more power to weep.
- 20:15SPEAKER_04: His was soldiers.
- 20:18SPEAKER_04: They were strong men.
- 20:20SPEAKER_04: These were men accustomed to fighting battles.
- 20:24SPEAKER_04: But the Bible said they wept until they had no more power to weep.
- 20:29SPEAKER_04: Sometimes strong people cry.
- 20:32SPEAKER_04: Sometimes faithful people become overwhelmed.
- 20:35SPEAKER_04: Sometimes people who encourage others need encouragement themselves.
- 20:41SPEAKER_04: But David's situation became even more difficult.
- 20:45SPEAKER_04: His own men taught about stoning him.
- 20:49SPEAKER_04: The very people he had led into battle who was now turning against him.
- 20:56SPEAKER_04: But 1 Samuel 30 and 6 says, and David was greatly distressed, for the people spake of stoning him.
- 21:07SPEAKER_04: But the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his own son for his daughter.
- 21:14SPEAKER_04: But David, who will come out, see her, encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
- 21:22SPEAKER_04: David didn't have anybody standing beside him, said, David, everything is going to be alright.
- 21:29SPEAKER_04: But he remembered the Lord.
- 21:32SPEAKER_04: He scruffed himself in the Lord.
- 21:35SPEAKER_04: And after seeking the Lord, David received direction to pursue the enemy.
- 21:41SPEAKER_04: When uh uh encouragement is abandoned around you, you can still find strength in the Lord who is with you.
- 21:53SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 21:55SPEAKER_04: Sometimes you have to remind yourself God brought me.
- 22:00SPEAKER_04: Do this.
- 22:03SPEAKER_04: He can bring me to that.
- 22:05SPEAKER_04: Hallelujah.
- 22:07SPEAKER_04: He brought me through before.
- 22:10SPEAKER_04: God has never failed me.
- 22:12SPEAKER_04: God is still my refuge.
- 22:15SPEAKER_04: God is still my strength.
- 22:18SPEAKER_04: Just tell somebody I'm wounded, but I still know where my help comes from.
- 22:24SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 22:27SPEAKER_04: Your wounds can make you more compassionate towards others.
- 22:32SPEAKER_04: Jesus told the story of a man traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho.
- 22:36SPEAKER_04: He fell among thieves who scripped him, wounded him, and left him half dead.
- 22:42SPEAKER_04: A priest passed by, a Levi passed by.
- 22:45SPEAKER_04: A Samaritan stopped to help.
- 22:50SPEAKER_04: Hallelujah.
- 22:51SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 22:53SPEAKER_04: But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was.
- 22:57SPEAKER_04: And when he saw him, he had compassion on him.
- 23:00SPEAKER_04: He went to him and bound up his wound, pouring oil and wine, set him on his own beast, and brought him to the end and took care of him.
- 23:10SPEAKER_04: The Samaritan did not walk past the wounded man.
- 23:14SPEAKER_04: He recognized his suffering and responded with compassion.
- 23:18SPEAKER_04: Now the Bible does not tell us that the Samaritan had personally experienced experienced the same kind of wound, but his example teaching us how wounded people should be treated.
- 23:33SPEAKER_04: They need compassion, not condemnation.
- 23:37SPEAKER_04: They need help, not humiliation.
- 23:40SPEAKER_04: They need restoration, not rejection.
- 23:43SPEAKER_04: 1 Corinthians 1, 3 and 4.
- 23:46SPEAKER_04: Blessed be the God, even the Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, the God of all comfort, who comfort us in our tribulation, that we might be able to comfort them which are in trouble by the comfort where we receive.
- 24:04SPEAKER_04: That are comforted of God.
- 24:07SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 24:09SPEAKER_04: Sometimes God uses the comfort we have received to help somebody else.
- 24:15SPEAKER_04: The person who has experienced grief may become a powerful comforter to grieving.
- 24:23SPEAKER_04: A person who has endured rejection may recognize the pain of someone being excluded.
- 24:29SPEAKER_04: The person who have survived a difficult season may become a witness that God can sustain us through hardship.
- 24:38SPEAKER_04: My wounds will not make me better.
- 24:41SPEAKER_04: But God's grace can make me better.
- 24:48SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Lord Jesus.
- 24:50SPEAKER_04: And we got to come in now for one final statement.
- 24:56SPEAKER_04: Your weariness is not a reason to seek renewal.
- 25:01SPEAKER_04: Not abandon God.
- 25:03SPEAKER_04: Your weakness is a reason to seek renewal.
- 25:10SPEAKER_04: Not abandon God.
- 25:16SPEAKER_04: Elijah had experienced a mighty victory in my country.
- 25:21SPEAKER_04: God answered by fire.
- 25:23SPEAKER_04: The prophet's Baal was defeated.
- 25:25SPEAKER_04: The power of God was demonstrated.
- 25:27SPEAKER_04: But after that, the great victory.
- 25:29SPEAKER_04: Elijah received a threat from Jezebel.
- 25:32SPEAKER_04: And that same prophet who stood boldly before hundreds of false prophets became afraid, ran for his life.
- 25:44SPEAKER_04: Felt like giving up.
- 25:45SPEAKER_04: He was exhausted.
- 25:46SPEAKER_04: He was overwhelmed.
- 25:48SPEAKER_04: But God did not shame Elijah for being exhausted.
- 25:52SPEAKER_04: God provided food.
- 25:54SPEAKER_04: God allowed him to sleep.
- 25:56SPEAKER_04: God sent an angel to strengthen him.
- 25:59SPEAKER_04: Hallelujah.
- 26:00SPEAKER_04: First Kings 19 and 7.
- 26:02SPEAKER_04: An angel of the Lord came again the second time and touched him and said, Rise and eat.
- 26:07SPEAKER_04: For the journey is too great for you.
- 26:12SPEAKER_04: Sometimes you don't need to quit your calling.
- 26:14SPEAKER_04: You need to recover your strength.
- 26:16SPEAKER_04: Sometimes you just need to rest.
- 26:21SPEAKER_04: Are you listening?
- 26:23SPEAKER_04: God bless you this morning.
- 26:29SPEAKER_04: Your wounds do not have to stop your heart.
- 26:33SPEAKER_04: No, no, no, no.
- 26:35SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 26:38SPEAKER_04: My God.
- 26:41SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 26:43SPEAKER_04: God bless you.
- 26:44SPEAKER_04: You can be wounded without being worthless.
- 26:49SPEAKER_04: Your value comes from God, not from how people treat you.
- 26:54SPEAKER_04: You can be disappointed without becoming disobedient.
- 26:58SPEAKER_04: Other people failure does not have to determine your response.
- 27:05SPEAKER_04: You can be weary without walking away.
- 27:10SPEAKER_04: Healing and renewal can strengthen your ability to serve.
- 27:15SPEAKER_04: God bless you this morning.
- 27:18SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Jesus.
- 27:20SPEAKER_04: Wounded, but still serving.
- 27:23SPEAKER_04: God bless.
- 27:24SPEAKER_04: Thank you for joining in here on GoPartyonline.org.
- 27:30SPEAKER_04: Be blessed in Jesus' name.
- 27:35SPEAKER_03: I have nothing live today.
