- 0:11SPEAKER_00: Hello everyone and welcome back to the Rave Social Podcast.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: I'm your host, Jaden.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: You know that by now.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: Today we have a really special guest, Kenna, on our podcast.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: And I'm just gonna give you guys a little intro on her, and then we'll get into the topic, which is gonna be really awesome.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: We're gonna be talking about building a multi-passionate business that actually works.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: This is Kenna's bread and butter.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: She um she's done so many things.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: She's just so creative and has so many different passions, and she's brought them all together.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: She's created so many businesses.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: So we're excited to hear her opinion on how to go about this.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: Um, but before we get into that, Kenna is a brand strategist, photographer, and yoga teacher who helps women reclaim their true essence and show up with unshakable confidence in life and business.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: What began as a path in fitness and content creation has evolved into a multipassionate career rooted in nervous system regulation, somatic expression, and deep transformation.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: She's the founder of With Love from Kenna.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Kenna now supports spiritually led entrepreneurs through personal expansion and brand clarity.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Whether she's helping women refine their brand identity, empowering them to be behind the camera, or guiding healing spaces, yoga, breath work, and retreats.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: Her mission is to help women take up space, express their truth, and find the freedom that comes from coming home to themselves.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: So there you go.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: That's Kenna.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: What's up, Kenna?
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: Period.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: Hi, thank you so much for having me.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: And yeah, that introduction kind of sums up.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, there's so much that goes into what has brought me here today.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: But yeah, that pretty much sums up what I do now and I love all of it.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I've been following you for like probably years now, I feel like.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: And it's been so fun to watch your transformations, like from content creator to social media manager to um your yoga.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: I followed along your full like yoga teacher training in Costa Rica, right?
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: It was amazing.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: And I just love seeing you shine.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: So we're excited to have you.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it'll be great to talk and get into this.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: I'm excited.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: To kick it off, I just have a question for you.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: So, um, what is the difference between being multi-passionate in a way that actually serves your business versus just being scattered and overwhelming to your potential clients?
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: I know clients come to me with this question too.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: They're like, I like all these things.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: How do I show up in a way that embodies all of it without being like messy with it?
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, for sure.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: I love this question.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: I think this is like one of the most common questions that I get from my clients too, because the women that come to work with me are super, this is what they struggle with mainly, is being multidimensional, because this is what I've struggled with in my whole entire journey.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, I would say that, you know, it's such a gift to have so many gifts and to want to utilize them when it's intentional, but like when you're not grounded, it it can come across really chaotic.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: And the difference all is it comes down to your delivery.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: So like for me in my business, it's been, you know, it's been mainly like two things like having systems.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: So do I have structure in place to keep me on track and to carry myself but also my clients through the ecosystem of their brand without people being confused, right?
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Because that's been one of my main downfalls in my business.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: Um, but also self-awareness.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: So, like, are you sharing from the scar and not the wound?
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: This is something I see so much from people, is like they just vomit onto their followers, and there's no strategy really.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: And that's not necessarily a bad thing.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Like, I commend anyone who desires to show up vulnerably in their business, but there's definitely a way to go about it, the quote unquote I would say like right way, you know.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Um like a better way that's just more structured.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: And yeah, I feel like clients come to me either feeling like they overshare and don't want to, or the other end of that where they're like too afraid to share their process, they're too afraid to share where they're at currently in their business because like because of that duality, like they don't want to be seen as somebody who's scattered, so then they won't share anything.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Um so yeah, how do you work with somebody who's in that space?
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Like maybe they are maybe it's a business coach and they want to bring more spirituality in to their business, but don't want to feel scattered about it.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: How would you recommend they start?
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so within my like I work with women on a really deep level.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: So in that mentorship, um, I really we start with the basics, which is like what I do this thing with them called the passion map.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: So it's basically like we you you know the the how you put two circles together and then there's like the middle and then the two outsides.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: So we start with like on the inside, it's the core passions.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: Like, what are you so in love with doing?
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: Like you you could never see yourself like giving it up, right?
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: Like, what is like that thing for you?
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: And also it has to make sense financially, like to be able to grow.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: Um, and then there's like supporting um the supporting passions and aspirational passions.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: So like supporting passions would be um yeah, anything that really like supports your overall brand and missions.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: Like for me, for example, the supporting passions I have are like yoga, um, hosting retreats, right?
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: All these different things because they're not helping me scale my business, but it's something that I love doing and I love being of service to people, right?
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: So that's a supporting passion.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: And I would say aspirational passions are more so like what do you desire in your business?
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: Like, what's more of like a long-term goal for you?
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: Like, do you want to write a book?
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: Do you want to have a long-form um like YouTube or podcast or whatever?
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: It's like there's so many things that we want to do, like at least the clients that come to work with me.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: So this helps them from the jump figure out okay, what is the direction we need to go in within your brand?
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: And what is like the main service that we're going to put out there for people.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 6:48unknown: Yeah.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I love that.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: Just kind of like taking all the things and then finding the ones that are worth pursuing when it comes to like a business front for sure.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: It has to make sense.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: Other, yeah.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: And like I loved what you said about, you know, I love hosting retreats and doing these other things, even though they don't like financially support my business, because I do think a lot of people like I love hosting retreats.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: I've I've been doing Girls Club, our like little side project for like almost two years now.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: And it's just a passion project.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: We love the community, we love the girls, but it's like we're not making any money off of that.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: And that's not to say it's not possible to eventually make money off of it.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: But I do think like having the perspective of like maybe I have these core offers that really do provide for me financially, um, take a little bit less time for me to do.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: Maybe there's just more ROI or a little bit lucrative there.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: But then it's like you can still host your retreats or do your other things that maybe aren't as profitable or financially smart, we'll say, in air quotes, if you're listening, not watching.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: Um but you can still do that to fulfill like that passionate side of you.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: And that's been, I know you might ask me this at some point, but that's been one of the biggest things in my business is like I have shiny object syndrome.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: So when like that's been my problem, right?
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: Is I get down the rabbit hole of one thing, and then I'm like, well, I don't know what to focus on anymore.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: Because I just like am so in love with this one thing.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: And so for me, the biggest lesson has been grounding myself again and being like, okay, coming back to what is actually functional and like what's going to work long-term longevity, because you have to think like that if you're gonna run and own a business.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: I think if you don't, then you can end up being scattered and losing love of all the different things because you're so burnt out from trying to do everything and constantly starting over, and that's just like hard to do.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: Um, which does bring me to my next question, and that is how do you help somebody identify which of their passions should be front and center in their business and which one should be hobbies or like a side project?
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: So for me, this question goes beyond the like I'm hosting retreats and also have these core offers.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: It goes beyond that to like, you know, I love sewing, but I don't, that's not a part of my business.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: It's a side project, it's a hobby, it's something I do for fun.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: Like, how do you help people decide?
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: You can still find joy in this, but it doesn't need to be a part of your business.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think with that, it just comes down to again the and like this was again a huge mistake for me of like not thinking long longevity-wise of like what's going to actually make sense.
- 9:51SPEAKER_01: And um, yeah, like yoga, teaching yoga is great, but it doesn't make sense to like only have that be my bread and butter of my business just personally, because A, I love so many things, and B, it doesn't pay the bills, it just doesn't.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: And yeah, I think for me, like a big thing, I had to hire somebody for help because I just kept spinning in circles and circles and circles.
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: And that's really the thing.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: Like, I hired a consultant and she's just been able to bring me back to like like asking the right questions, right?
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: Of like what's actually important?
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: What do you actually value?
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: What is actually going to um what do you actually want to do?
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: Like, what do you want to do in your business?
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: Like, that's a huge thing that I think a lot of us don't like for me.
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: I didn't really think about for a long time.
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: Um, I just was so motivated by the money or you know, my personal journey.
- 10:51SPEAKER_01: And it's like, thank God that I invested in myself and had somebody ask me those questions because without that, I'd be like, woo, still spinning around trying to, you know, figure it out myself.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: And honestly, like it's miserable doing that when you get to a certain point.
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: Like you do have to just kind of pull the plug.
- 11:09SPEAKER_01: Um, but I would say, like, yeah, I learned through having that that it's possible to combine all of your passions into a cohesive brand.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: It's you don't need six different pages to like make it make sense, or you don't you don't have to water yourself down either.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: You just need like a clear through line for your audience so that they know what it is that you're actually offering them.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: Cause for me, that's been my biggest thing.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: Nobody really has known like what I can actually do for them, you know, and that's been like a huge uh it's loot, it's made help, it's lost me money.
- 11:45SPEAKER_01: Let's say that and that's not a it's not a bad thing because I've been learning about myself the whole entire way and I'm supported, but um, yeah, and then I would say also like that helps you build trust with your audience because when you have conviction and you have systems, they're you're like unstoppable, you know?
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's true.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: So I'm kind of from like a from like a content side of things, do you ever feel like people can stray too far from the path?
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: Like, for like we can even use me as an example.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: Like, if I started posting about my sewing projects constantly or something like that, would you say like, don't just go doing that?
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: Like, you should have a plan on how that's gonna work into your business, or is it fine to kind of share whatever?
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's a good question.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: I would say, like, for me personally, like, I've really learned over the years to only share, like, I share again from um a place of like storytelling and inspiring my audience, right?
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: Like, those are the big two things for me that I really feel have helped keep people because people have followed me because I've created all different pages and had all different types of businesses, and people follow me through that because they trust me.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: And like that's the biggest thing.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: Um, so I would say, like, when you have trust with your audience, like that trumps all.
- 13:19SPEAKER_01: Like, you could share about your sewing project every now and again, and it doesn't fucking matter because your audience trusts you and they're buying from you.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: Like, if you have, you know, if if you're seeing success and results, keep doing what you're doing, right?
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: But if if you're like, what if you're all over the place, then I would say honestly, like, yeah, it kind of depends where you are too, right?
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: If you're if your audience doesn't really know what you're doing and kind of where you stand, I would really focus your attention on your story strategy, right?
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: And like what you're actually sharing.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: You shouldn't just be willy-nilly sharing, you know, sewing, whatever.
- 13:57SPEAKER_01: Um, so yeah, it kind of depends where you're at too.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I agree with that.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: I think like definitely depends on where you're at in your business.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: If you have uh an engaged and um connected following that uh knows what you do, like you know, people know that you're a photographer or they know that you're a business coach for photographers or whatever it is.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: Like, if they know what you do, then sharing a little bit more like fringe things um is not gonna hurt you.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: But if they don't know and you're sharing fringe things, you're just gonna create like greater confusion.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: And I think one way that you can kind of gauge that is like what are your inquiries like?
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: Do you have steady inquiries even when you're not really posting?
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: Um, because that would mean people do know what you do and you're coming to mind.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: Like you haven't posted in a week, but you're coming to mind as the go-to photographer or as the go-to coach because you've established that.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: Um, but if you feel like you can't get inquiries or like sales are really sporadic, then that's probably a good sign that your audience doesn't really know what's going on.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: Um just to give you all a reference point who are listening.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: So you're not like, well, frick, I don't know.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: Is my audience engaged?
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: I don't really know.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think that's kind of a measurable thing.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: And using the, you know, professional dashboard, like I know I'm guilty of not always checking it or kind of wanting to be avoidant of like what my what my uh analytics are looking like, especially now that I don't do social media management anymore.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: I'm just like, well, whatever.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: But like honestly, as a business owner and some and someone who wants to build trust and a platform for my audience, that's important.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: It really is.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: No, it is, and I'm the same way.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: I like checking my analytics is the worst.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: Like it just gets it it for me, it gets in my head really easily, and it's like, oh, like that was working, now it's not.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: And then honestly, it never helps me.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: It never helps me, it always just makes things worse.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: So I'm the same.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: I have a hard time looking at at metrics, but yeah, I think too, like if you're having conversations in your DMs about your offers, not your fringe things, like that's a good indicator.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, if you're getting comments on your post that are like, oh, like this is so helpful, thank you, like that's a good indicator too.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: There are other things that help people help you see that you are getting the message across that you want to be, even if it doesn't equal like an exact dollar sign.
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I would say pay attention to that too, because I know a lot of times we get like carried away and we don't look at like the things that are actually good that are happening in our business too.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: So it's important.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I feel like especially if you're I mean, most people who are listening to this are like high achieving women, business owners, entrepreneurs, whatever.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: And I think if you're in that category or you identify with that, yeah, like the goalpost is always moving.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: And yeah, that's just the way that it is.
- 17:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and it's right.
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: I think paying attention to, like you said, specifically what's going on in your DMs, because as a business owner, at least for me, like building relationships is so huge.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: So I really am in the DMs a lot, like nurturing quote unquote leads or whatever, however you want to terminology it, you know?
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: So yeah.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I agree.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: It is like leads in air quotes.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: It's like you don't have to treat everyone like a like you know, a lead.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: They could be a friend or like.
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: They're interested, they're just interested in what you have to offer.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: Um, okay, how do you help people like you personally?
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: How do you help people position themselves as experts when they don't want to be known for just one thing?
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: Like they don't want to be just a photographer, or maybe it's like they are a photographer, but they don't want to be just a wedding photographer.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: Like, how do you help them be an expert still when they're not like niched down?
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, I love this question.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: Um, I think for me, I I just I I resonate with this so much because yeah, it's been like my whole journey, and it's it's this is where I'm gonna get a little woo-woo, but it comes back to like you and your relationship with yourself, right?
- 18:30SPEAKER_01: And um yeah, being okay almost with like focusing, you kind of do have to focus on one thing, like you have to figure out what your main passion is, and you do have to focus in on that if you want to scale a business.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: That's my opinion, anyway, because trying to do so many things had that's why I do what I do now, and I help women in my mentorship because it never worked for me, and now I know moving forward, um, what what works and what doesn't.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: And it's for a season, and that's what I I've had to you know remind myself and my clients is like it's not forever that you have to focus on this one thing.
- 19:10SPEAKER_01: You have to do it and think of it as like it's it's helping you get to this place where you can implement more because like for me, I want to host like four retreats a year, but I'm not at that point yet because I haven't scaled my business to a place where I can do that, right?
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: But like when my nervous system is fully regulated and my business is bringing in what I desire, then I can step into that space where I'm like, I can do the extra things, and that is that's like that should be your motivation at the beginning of your business, you know, to really like nail that thing in.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: And it resisting this and like not allowing myself to just surrender to doing this cost me so much time and results, like I could have been so much farther by now, and so now that's why I teach other women that they can still do what they love and be multidimensional, but it just comes in like phases, you know.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like looking at it as building blocks rather than like limitation.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not limiting myself from doing all these different things, I'm just building on top of it.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Because I agree with you, like niching is part of like if you don't want to niche at all, your growth is just gonna be really slow, and you're gonna have to do a lot more work to convince people that you they should work with you.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: But if you niche quick and early, like exactly what you're saying in your business, you can get to the point where you have a large and engaged following that doesn't care if you switch around because they're bought into who you are.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: And yeah, it was under one niche, but it doesn't mean it can't like evolve from that point.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: But if you're starting from zero, you have a hundred followers on Instagram and you're trying to do 10 things, like that's just not it's it's gonna burn you out, is what it's gonna do.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: And then you're not gonna you you're not even gonna get to the point where you can do all the different things.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: So I love that perspective because yeah, it is like you can be multi-passionate, and like even in that scaling process, you don't have to forget all the other things that you love doing.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: You can still be interested in yoga, and you can still be interested in sewing or whatever other niches you're interested in, but that's just not gonna be like the foundation of your business at that point.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: And that's like it's been so liberating to me also to be like, wow, I get to I get to actually focus in and hone in on one thing and and become an expert at that.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: And and then from there support people in other ways that I that I love.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I love that so much.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: Um How do you handle the inner critic that says, even I love this question, especially based on like what you were just saying?
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Like, I'd be so much farther along, you know?
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: Um, but how do you handle the inner critic that says you should be further along or more focused by now?
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's another really good question.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: And I'd say it comes that one really comes back to like the woo-woo of having a good relationship with yourself.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: And like I practice what I preach.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: I I take yoga classes as much, if not well, way more actually, than I even teach them right now.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: And I I do breath work really often.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: Like I'm constantly, not constantly, because I think there has to be a balance and harmony, but like yeah, pouring into yourself and doing the things that regulate your nervous system, um, is is it should be priority always, right?
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: To help with this stuff.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: Um and and and journaling to my higher self, like talking to myself as you know, yeah, as my higher self.
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: And I also like I'm someone who I'm really honest with myself.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: So I would say discernment is another huge thing that you know I have to use with myself as a business owner.
- 23:17SPEAKER_01: Like there are certain ways that I could be doing more, right?
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: So it's like, how can I be honest with myself and be nice to myself?
- 23:26SPEAKER_01: Like have loving kindness and compassion, but also know where where I could be stepping up more to the plate, you know?
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: Because that's been a huge, a huge battle for me personally.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: I yes, like having like radical honesty with yourself, I think is really important too.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: Like, and I think it does get tricky, especially with high achievers, where like yeah, being radically honest with yourself about where you're at can sometimes be filled with shame.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: Like you're like, oh, you're right, I should be getting up earlier, I should be eating healthier, I should be setting better boundaries with my clients.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: Like that can be filled with so much shame, but it doesn't have to.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: Like, you can look at it with compassion and be like, okay, that's right.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: Like, I haven't been waking up to my alarm clock like I want to be, but that's okay because tomorrow I'm just gonna do that.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm just gonna take ownership of that and just go ahead and move forward from right now, doing that and not and like release the shame of what happened the past two weeks or whatever.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: Um, which I think is just like I can say from personal experience, like that's hard if you're a high achiever.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: It happens to me, and I'm like, I should be working on this new offer more.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: Like, ugh, I shouldn't have gone out with my friends that night.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: I should have stayed in and worked on this thing on my business.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: And it's like, how can I look at that with more like love and compassion instead of shame?
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and also like all those moments that you're not spending time putting into your business, that's actually time that you're getting downloads and you're experiencing life and you're getting more opportunities to share different things with your audience.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: Because if you're not living your life, like I see this talked about a lot, actually, it's it's like a thing.
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: Like, if you're not living your life, you won't have anything, especially as a personal brand.
- 25:22SPEAKER_01: Like a lot of people, women that have personal brands, like part of that is being like living your life and not constantly worrying about what's what's going on in your business because there has to be a balance, yeah.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's so true.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: Like, that's where the good stories come from, and and beyond that, it's just like I I mean, every time I go out into the world and I meet new people, they're like, What do you do?
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I do social media, and then they'll ask me some question, and I'm like, that's a great piece of content.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: Like, um I think you you gather more things from from being out in life for sure.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: And I think it like you said, it's just a balance of like, am I being honest with myself?
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: Am I doing what I sh what I could be and want to be doing in my business?
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: Am I?
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: And where am I maybe falling short?
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: And then also balancing that with just like existing, like life doesn't have to be your business, doesn't have to be your life, it shouldn't be your life.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: Um how can you build that like balance into your into your life?
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: Um one other thing that came up as you were responding to that question is I think we can be hard on ourselves for not niching down as soon as we should we think we should have.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: Hindsight is 2020, right?
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, um, but really in that process, like even for you, you were just like exploring your passions and like developing yourself, which there's nothing wrong with that.
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: And that honestly is probably where you needed to get yourself to be able to do like what you're doing now, you know?
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: So none of it is none of it is really for nothing.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, that's been a huge like self-forgiveness, like has been huge because I'm almost 30, like I turned 29 this year, and I don't really have a savings or like anything crazy to show for it, you know.
- 27:22SPEAKER_01: And that's because thank God.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: Thank God for that.
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: Because oh my god, I am so grateful for all the the opportunities and the traveling and the money that I have spent in my 20s.
- 27:35SPEAKER_01: Because yeah, like as soon as I make it, I've been spending it.
- 27:38SPEAKER_01: And I'm not afraid to admit that because it's allowed me to get to this place where yeah, I've I'm not afraid to invest in myself.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: I'm I like fear, no, nothing like I fear things, but like yeah, there's a lot there's a lot of things in business that I feel like people are afraid to do.
- 27:58SPEAKER_01: Like there's so much fear that exists in our minds, and it's just a concept, it really is.
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: And when we can like yeah, push ourselves outside of the box, and like you said, hindsight is 2020, you know, and I could look back and I could be so freaking pissed at myself, and I still carry a little bit of shame, right?
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: There's still that little voice in my head that I have to work through because I compare myself.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: There's so much comparison, even with you, right?
- 28:25SPEAKER_01: You've built this successful business, and you do talk about finances a lot, and sometimes like within me that triggers me because I'm like, damn, like I wish, and not in a bad way, it's in a good way, right?
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: And yeah, yeah, I think there's just being a business owner and an entrepreneur is such a beautiful, such a beautiful journey.
- 28:46SPEAKER_01: Like we learn exactly what we need to when we need to, for sure.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and it's it's fucking wild.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: It's a it's a literal wild ass journey.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: Like it's crazy because the truth is everyone is on such a wildly different path.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: Like, like, yeah, I do talk about finances, but I have my own things.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: Like I I have scarcity around like, okay, I have my savings, but like, what is it doing for me?
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: Because like I'm afraid to let it go.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: I'm literally too afraid.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: And like I have a lot of fear around that, like taking big steps in my business, big investments.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: Like, I really I I'm that is so scary for me.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: And like I have a one of my best friends own us owns a hair salon.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: She had to get a small business loan, she's had to pay so much money out of pocket.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: She's like gone all in on her business, and I watch her and I'm like, I could never, and I'm so proud of her.
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: I'm so proud of her, but I'm like, oh my god, like I that would just I would never sleep at night, you know?
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: And so like everyone is on a different journey, and that's like my nervous system.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: Like, my nervous system is like a little bit more like cautious, afraid in that way.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: So it's like everyone is just different on their journey, and it doesn't make it good or bad.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: Like, there's so many experiences that I'm sure I've missed out on, and so many um coaching programs and courses, and honestly, my business might even be way more way farther along and way more scaled if I was more willing to like do big investments, you know?
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: So it's just like everyone's different, and you can't have shame about that.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't feel like that just holds you back, it does, yeah.
- 30:37SPEAKER_01: And like it's okay to feel that.
- 30:39SPEAKER_01: I think that's so important.
- 30:40SPEAKER_01: That's some of the work that I do is like focusing on helping people feel that shit so that they can get out of it and move on.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: Because if we're not, if we don't acknowledge that it's there, then what's the point?
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: You know, we're never gonna actually heal from it.
- 30:53SPEAKER_01: But yeah, I think like yeah, shame is such a gosh, it's not talked about enough, I feel like, and we all carry it as business owners for sure.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: And especially women, I think women that are business owners are way more susceptible to being stuck in shame and shame cycles because we wanna be a good wife, we want to be a good mom, we wanna be a good business owner, we wanna be wealthy, we want all these different things, and it's like that's a lot, that's a lot, and like in some places you're probably gonna fall short sometimes, and I think you can just get really stuck in the in the shame of that.
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: That's so real, yeah.
- 31:41SPEAKER_01: Like falling short sometimes, and also just like knowing that you're worthy no matter what, you know?
- 31:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: It actually this kind of leads me to another question around being like enmeshed with your business because this is something that like I've been kind of working through.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: Um, it's come up a lot in breath work for me, but it's like, you know, I am so identified with my business, like we're enmeshed, we're like this.
- 32:11SPEAKER_00: Like I am my business, my business is me, right?
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: And so then a client wants to cancel and I'm like, oh, I'm a bad person.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: Like, because they don't want to work with my business, then I'm a bad person, you know?
- 32:25SPEAKER_00: How do you help women like separate themselves and be like, Yes, I have a personal brand, whatever, I'm involved in it, but it I am not my business.
- 32:34SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, that's so juicy.
- 32:36SPEAKER_01: Now we're getting into juicy topics.
- 32:38SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, that's more like like you said, right?
- 32:42SPEAKER_01: That came up for you in breath work, and that's really where all the work is done.
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: Is like in my container, we do a lot of nervous system work, so it's really it's really intimate.
- 32:51SPEAKER_01: It really depends on like what I feel like you need and what would be the best fit for you as my client.
- 32:56SPEAKER_01: But I mean, I do quite a few different things when it comes to like holding space, and it's yeah, it really like it's so bioindividual, you know.
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: It really depends on like how like what you're struggling with personally and like how how that looks for you.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: But I would say overall, like knowing that you and I think breath work has really helped me with this personally, like knowing that I'm a soul and I have so much, there's so much more to us than just like the 3D realm and like the physical body, right?
- 33:35SPEAKER_01: And like our physical business, like we have a soul, we have like mind, body, and spirit, right?
- 33:41SPEAKER_01: There's so much to us, and when we start to really peel back the layers of the onion, I it's like peeling back.
- 33:48SPEAKER_01: We have so many different layers, and it's so potent what happens when you do this inner work because it's like you start to have so much more conviction in who you really are.
- 34:01SPEAKER_01: So it's like yeah, there's there's this deeper knowing that you know within yourself, yeah, I'm not that, I'm not, I'm separate from this, right?
- 34:13SPEAKER_01: Like we're all one, but I'm still my own, my own being, my own entity, and I am sovereign.
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: That's a huge thing that I help women with.
- 34:21SPEAKER_01: It's like and I talk about this stuff a lot in my content because I really believe, like, I really believe in it.
- 34:27SPEAKER_01: I feel being sovereign and being autonomous and like being able to make our own decisions and know that we're um, yeah, like I said, a soul is is huge.
- 34:38SPEAKER_01: And to like know that versus it's one thing to like know that and to hear it, but it's another thing to physically embody it, and that's why I talk about embodiment so much because it's been the the single-handed thing that's changed everything for me through yoga, through breath work, through all these different modalities coming back to my body, right?
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's wild to like you know, we haven't got into this really, but like somatics, breath work, all of that.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: I had Tay and Claire.
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: Well, I had Claire on the podcast, and then I had Tay and Claire on the podcast, who are um my breathwork mentors.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: Um, and we do a lot of somatics in all of our work with them, a lot of like tapping, toning, pounding, whatever, like all that kind of stuff.
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: And it's wild how when you start to notice your body and breath work, and then you take that into your business.
- 35:31SPEAKER_00: Like you're sitting at your computer, you get an email, you look at it, and all of a sudden your your heart is racing, your shoulders go up, your hips get tight.
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: And you noticing those because they're so subconscious until you make the connection, then it's impossible to notice.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: And then it's so much easier to make better decisions in your business because you're like, okay, where like why am I feeling this way?
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm feeling this way because I'm afraid that they're gonna cancel their contract.
- 36:03SPEAKER_00: And it's like, okay, what's the story behind that?
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: If they cancel, you're gonna feel like you're a bad person.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: Is that true?
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: No, okay, let's let them cancel.
- 36:14SPEAKER_00: We'll find a new client that's more aligned, moving on with our life, you know?
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: And I think that can only come through practicing it.
- 36:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, it has to, because like I just think a lot of people, not like this isn't, I'm not saying this to shame anyone, but a lot of people don't know what those things feel like in their body.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: So they don't realize what's happening.
- 36:36SPEAKER_01: Totally.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: And there's, yeah, like I said, there's a difference between like knowing it, but then actually embodying and like feeling it in your body and feeling the like hunching, right?
- 36:47SPEAKER_01: And these different things because the every day it's such a journey.
- 36:51SPEAKER_01: And two, I think this brings up a really interesting point of just like not even just with emails or like stuff on the back end, but also like your front-facing content and like how you appear to your audience, right?
- 37:04SPEAKER_01: Like, these are things I dive into with my clients because there's so much fear around being witnessed in their fullest expression, right?
- 37:12SPEAKER_01: And so with the photography work I do and like all the branding stuff, it's like that's why the nervous system and like the embodiment piece is so huge because I find that a lot of women get stuck in their minds and they create all these.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 37:30SPEAKER_00: This it reminds me of the stories you just posted a few days ago.
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: You're kind of go, you took, you took your audience through like your different basically eras of business, and you were showing like I took these branding photos because like that's what every like that's what the top people in my industry were doing.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: And I looked at the photos and I was like, I have photos that are just like that.
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: Um, and it's funny because later, later today I actually have like a branding shoot that feels so like me, but it's all like I was never even truly, it never even unlocked in my brain that I could do branding photos the way that I'm about to do them tonight.
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, it's because I wasn't, I honestly just wasn't there yet.
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: Like I could only see myself through the lens of like honestly how people perceived me.
- 38:19SPEAKER_00: Like I wanted to be perceived as like this like poised social media manager when really I'm fucking unhinged and like silly and goofy and want to do cartwheels in a field.
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: Like that's who I really am, which you don't see that in my content.
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, we need to like this needs to be like more aligned.
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: But I I loved that because when I saw your photos and I saw myself in them, I was like, this is so true.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: Like it's scary to be seen authentically.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: Because what if people are like, why is she doing that?
- 38:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and that comes back, right?
- 38:54SPEAKER_01: And that comes back to your relationship with yourself, right?
- 38:57SPEAKER_01: Because if you don't accept yourself fully and you don't love yourself and all these things, like it sounds so corny, right?
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: But it's so true.
- 39:05SPEAKER_01: Like, if you don't love yourself first, you're gonna think that everybody else is judging you or hating you or whatever else.
- 39:11SPEAKER_01: And like that's why conviction is such a huge piece to my brand and what I talk about, and yeah, it's it's it's embodied for me because I've learned it personally, so yeah.
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, it's and it sounds so simple.
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: It's like just let people see who you are, but like I think there's also an element to it that it's like, well, when a phone is in front of you, you just behave differently, like anyone does, anyone does, and it takes training to be like, okay, I'm I'm ignoring the fact that there's like a camera here, I'm just gonna be myself.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: Like, I think that's a big thing too.
- 39:48SPEAKER_00: Like when it comes to social media content, it's like hard not to be it's hard not to like put yourself in a perception bubble because you know how people are gonna see you.
- 40:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I think that comes down to again, I it sounds annoying because I keep repeating it, but like conviction and knowing um that you have something that's worth like worth it to share, right?
- 40:17SPEAKER_01: Like you have so much belief in yourself.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: You're like, I don't give a f how I'm perceived, but I got a message that I need to share with the world, you know, and that's again like that's how I help women, and like I I feel like you do this as well within your business is just like helping people grow in this way where it's authentic, right?
- 40:38SPEAKER_01: And like not phony, because that's how you're actually gonna build a brand.
- 40:43SPEAKER_01: I see you talk about that all the time.
- 40:45SPEAKER_00: So yeah, it's true.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: I mean, you just it's like I do feel like that's where I help my clients because our the way I structure my content creation and and strategy is through talking to them.
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: Like we get on hour-long phone calls, and I just literally talk to them and like I hear their stories, I ask them questions, and that's how I pull out you know what the content should be.
- 41:10SPEAKER_00: Because like even for me, when I'm creating my own content, I can get in that perception, like echo chamber of like, is this gonna be perceived the way I want it to be or whatever?
- 41:23SPEAKER_00: Because it's my business, I'm involved, I'm the one trying to say the message, and that's what happens to my clients.
- 41:29SPEAKER_00: But then when they have me to be like, well, here's the story that you told me.
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: They're like, Right, oh yeah, like that is actually what I was trying to say.
- 41:38SPEAKER_00: But for some reason, when I was trying to write it as a carousel, I couldn't do it.
- 41:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 41:44SPEAKER_01: Same with my clients.
- 41:45SPEAKER_01: Like when I'm writing them content stuff, they're like, whoa, like how did you do that?
- 41:50SPEAKER_01: Like you were in my head.
- 41:51SPEAKER_01: I'm like, yeah, because I just literally told me and what do you want to write?
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: I know it's funny because sometimes I'm like, that's what you said.
- 42:03SPEAKER_01: Like those weren't your words, they were never mine, but but that's why, like, when it comes back to investment, investing, right?
- 42:11SPEAKER_01: And like having that um outside perspective that sees the light in you and like what you desire to bring to the world.
- 42:21SPEAKER_01: There's so much magic in that, you know?
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 42:24SPEAKER_00: I just barely hired um I just invested in what oh my god, Kaylee from Kaylee from Reveal Studio Co.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: I don't know why that just like I couldn't get that in my brain.
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: Um, but she's incredible, and I just hired her to do some sales page stuff for my signature offer because uh that that exact thing was happening to me.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: Like I'd go to try to write this and I'm like, this offer kicks ass, period.
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: Like I don't know what else to say.
- 42:57SPEAKER_00: Like I literally, I'm just like, it's awesome.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: But I mean, like, but that doesn't sell, right?
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: I that's all they want to put on the sales page, but that doesn't sell.
- 43:07SPEAKER_00: So like I had to have her come in and help me.
- 43:09SPEAKER_00: And then she's reading me this like sales page outline, and I'm like, oh yeah, like no, that is like what it is.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: Like, I just couldn't do it.
- 43:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I kid you not, I cried.
- 43:24SPEAKER_01: I was in tears on the floor when my consultant sent me my first phase of my audit of my business.
- 43:31SPEAKER_01: I was like, like, I was like, this, this is what I've been like, you know, like it's so power.
- 43:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's just so powerful when someone someone sees you in a way that you you just it's like a mirror, basically.
- 43:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know?
- 43:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 43:49SPEAKER_00: And you just can't see what you can't see.
- 43:52SPEAKER_00: But right, yeah, I love that.
- 43:54SPEAKER_00: Um is there anything else that you wanted to share?
- 43:58SPEAKER_00: I feel like The only thing we didn't talk about is um what like what does a successful multi-passionate business actually look like day to day?
- 44:07SPEAKER_00: Like how do you how do you get to all the things?
- 44:11SPEAKER_01: I think that's a funny question.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: Um, because for me, I I was laughing when I when I read this question.
- 44:18SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, that's something that I'm definitely still refining.
- 44:23SPEAKER_01: Um because I am in a phase right now in my business where I would say, like, I'm like I said, I hired my consultant, we're moving into this rebrand phase, and now this is like the last time that I'm doing that, so I can hit the ground running.
- 44:36SPEAKER_01: And with that, you know, it's been really helpful because I'm going to be implementing a full-on, like full-time content strategy, like you know, threads, Instagram, um, email list, like all the things.
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: And with that, when it comes to starting that, I'm gonna need to really um nail down like a morning, midday, and afternoon kind of schedule for myself because right now it's just so flowy.
- 45:03SPEAKER_01: Like I've been really like I am so masculine driven, so I'm like very action-driven.
- 45:10SPEAKER_01: I'm determined, I'm motivated.
- 45:12SPEAKER_01: But for the last like year that I've been growing like the photography side of my business and and been really into retreats and like my personal journey, I've just been so flowy.
- 45:23SPEAKER_01: And that's again why I needed help because I'm like, I need somebody to give me direction because it's hard to be honest.
- 45:31SPEAKER_01: This is one of the things that I struggle with a lot because there's so many distractions, right?
- 45:35SPEAKER_01: There's scrolling, there's you know, getting up and getting a snack, right?
- 45:39SPEAKER_01: Or like cleaning, cleaning the house, cleaning the house.
- 45:42SPEAKER_01: No, literally, I it's so bad.
- 45:44SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, now that I'm so self-aware, I'm like, every time I'm doing something to distract myself, I fucking know it.
- 45:51SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, okay.
- 45:56SPEAKER_01: I'm being avoidant.
- 45:57SPEAKER_01: I know, like I know, I'm still gonna clean up this closet though.
- 46:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so I I would say, like, ideally, um, you know, waking up and pouring into myself, right?
- 46:11SPEAKER_01: Like, that's the number one thing.
- 46:12SPEAKER_01: Meditation, yoga flow, whatever it is, and like me, like I'm ideally trying to get up with the sunrise and like be on a circadian rhythm.
- 46:20SPEAKER_01: That doesn't always go the way as planned because we're females, we have cycles, like it's crazy, right?
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: Um and then midday, like it's more like um, I really try to like want I want to be focusing on one one thing, one option.
- 46:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because I find myself like I get so um, yeah, I have ADHD.
- 46:42SPEAKER_01: I just want to do all the things, and so having direction and like one project is super important, and then just client work and like content creation the last half of the day, and that's pretty much it.
- 46:54SPEAKER_01: And then client calls, you know.
- 46:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like I I get on those, but they're just sporadic and it's not always consistent, so yeah, yeah.
- 47:02SPEAKER_00: I think it's a balance and like a dance for sure.
- 47:06SPEAKER_00: Like I've and I think you go through phases and you have to like give yourself grace to go through phases, and what I mean by that is like I used to be like, and I would follow these accounts that it was like if you're not like fucking like structured AF, like every single day you do this, like the 5 a.m.
- 47:28SPEAKER_00: club, which like I'm literally not gonna be in the 5 a.m.
- 47:31SPEAKER_00: club.
- 47:31SPEAKER_00: Like, goodbye.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: I don't want to be in it.
- 47:34SPEAKER_00: Um but like I followed people who were like that, and it was like grind, grind, grind, hustle, hustle.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: And I was like, whoa, I love to work hard, but that is like to me, prison.
- 47:45SPEAKER_00: Like, if I'm gonna do that, I'm gonna go get a nine to five.
- 47:48SPEAKER_00: Because the way that you're you're forcing yourself to do this routine every day, that's jail to me.
- 47:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like touched up.
- 47:59SPEAKER_00: So I'm like allowing yourself to like ebb and flow.
- 48:03SPEAKER_00: Like there are gonna be times when you feel like maybe it's the winter for you, maybe it's the summer for you, whatever, where you feel like I love getting up at 7:30, I have this structured routine, I love my day being like perfectly planned out.
- 48:17SPEAKER_00: And then you're probably gonna have phases where like that doesn't feel good, and you need to sleep in a little bit more, or you need um your days need to be less packed.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: Like you're gonna go through things like cycles like that.
- 48:31SPEAKER_00: And I think giving yourself grace for that and knowing that even those people on the internet that are like go, go, go, they are also doing that.
- 48:39SPEAKER_00: They are also doing that.
- 48:42SPEAKER_00: Like, let yourself do that.
- 48:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and if they're not, that's concerning.
- 48:47SPEAKER_00: Like, you we should be concerned for them, and there's yeah, it's yeah, like are you not this isn't like to shame people who like literally do have OCD, but like, are you doing that out of like an OCD thing where you're like, but I can't function in a negative way?
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: Or are you doing that in a way that's like filling your cup and like fueling your soul instead of like a have to kind of a thing?
- 49:15SPEAKER_01: That's a rabbit hole we could go down for days and days because that would be for a long time, was forcing myself to do things that and I think again, that's why it pushed me to a place in my business where I'm like, I don't know, I was like literally like such a float.
- 49:28SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I don't know what to do, like so many tells me what to do because I was telling myself what to do for so damn long that I just again I got burnt out of it, you know.
- 49:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like you get to that point, so it's like balancing your intuition and having a strategy because it's yeah, like you have to you have to have both, like you know, the way the visual is the visualization that I always love is like you can't have a river without a river bud, and it's like the river bud is the masculine, you know, because people love to use masculine and feminine, and I love it too, but I think sometimes it's a little vague.
- 50:06SPEAKER_00: People love to be like, I want to be in my feminine, like they want to be in the flowing water, but if they don't have the structure, you can't flow, there's nothing to flow in.
- 50:17SPEAKER_00: So like it's balancing that, like, where do I have the structure and where do I have the flow?
- 50:22SPEAKER_00: And that can even look like structuring in flow time.
- 50:26SPEAKER_00: Well, it's like okay, here's my four hours that I'm just like doing whatever I want, but it's structured into your day.
- 50:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and that's so powerful and liberating.
- 50:38SPEAKER_01: Like, there, there's even, I don't know if you've heard of this, but some people like kind of like to structure their business based on like the days of um the week in astrology.
- 50:48SPEAKER_01: So like I know Monday is like lunar day, like Tuesday, I don't know what all the days are, but you can yeah, you can do that, and I I also feel like that can also become again, like what we're saying, uh, there needs to be a balance because you don't want to get too caught up in doing that that thing and feel like, well, this is what works, so I need to do this, you know, like be flexible.
- 51:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 51:13SPEAKER_00: And make sure, like, I'm totally on a tangent right now, but like make sure that your whatever routines you are you are, like if you're a morning routine person, cool, evening, cool, whatever it is, just make sure like the routines you're setting up for yourself feel nourishing.
- 51:30SPEAKER_00: That's not to say some days you might get up and be like, man, I don't really feel like going on a walk, but you're gonna do it anyways.
- 51:37SPEAKER_00: It's it's not that.
- 51:38SPEAKER_00: It's like most of the time, most of the time are you excited to like get up and do your routine because it feels good.
- 51:46SPEAKER_00: That's how your routine should feel.
- 51:48SPEAKER_00: It shouldn't feel like something that you have to do.
- 51:51SPEAKER_00: And if it does, like that's where something needs to change.
- 51:53SPEAKER_00: Maybe you're not a gym rat in this season.
- 51:56SPEAKER_00: Maybe you are a go-for-a-walk girl in this season, and that's okay.
- 52:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, wow, I love that.
- 52:02SPEAKER_01: That's actually so so true and so powerful.
- 52:05SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, honoring what it is that you need and getting to know yourself deep enough to know that because sometimes we don't even know what we need.
- 52:13SPEAKER_00: So no, that's a hard place to be.
- 52:16SPEAKER_00: Trust me, I was about March this year, I was like, Like, what am I doing?
- 52:22SPEAKER_00: Like, I need to hire all the coaches, like I am screwed.
- 52:26SPEAKER_00: What am I doing?
- 52:27SPEAKER_00: I want to burn my business down.
- 52:28SPEAKER_00: I feel a lot better now, but trust, like I was totally there and I was like, oh, this is bad, bad, bad.
- 52:35SPEAKER_00: But there's another side to it.
- 52:37SPEAKER_00: You get to the other side.
- 52:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 52:39SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, exactly.
- 52:40SPEAKER_00: Before we close out, I just wanted to ask you one more question.
- 52:44SPEAKER_00: And that is, what is one piece of advice you wish you could give your younger self?
- 52:51SPEAKER_01: I love this question.
- 52:52SPEAKER_01: I feel like there's so many things that I could say.
- 52:57SPEAKER_01: Um, but I feel like the biggest thing that's coming up right now is just to make friends with literally every version of you that you've been past, present, even the girl you're gonna be in the future, because you're literally all that you have in this life.
- 53:15SPEAKER_01: And that's a really hard realization to have.
- 53:19SPEAKER_01: But once you get there, like again, you'll be unstoppable.
- 53:24SPEAKER_01: The conviction that you'll have is it will be super powerful, and yeah, it'll always just trust your intuition, you know, because it's always gonna lead you to where you need to go and don't doubt that, but also have structure, like have a balance, like that's yeah.
- 53:47SPEAKER_01: What we've been talking about this whole this whole episode truly is what I would tell my younger self.
- 53:54SPEAKER_00: Younger self, like for sure.
- 53:57SPEAKER_00: I love what you said about making friends with all the different versions of you because it's true.
- 54:02SPEAKER_00: It kind of connects what you're saying at the beginning, just like you know, you can't shame yourself for the journey that you're on.
- 54:08SPEAKER_00: Like the girl who decided to start her social media business, like you love her, and the girl that got into photography when she was 16, like you love her.
- 54:19SPEAKER_00: You can just appreciate every version because they've all brought you here.
- 54:25SPEAKER_00: Like, who cares?
- 54:26SPEAKER_00: Who cares if maybe some of that time feels wasted?
- 54:29SPEAKER_00: Like, it doesn't matter.
- 54:31SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 54:31SPEAKER_01: And there's gonna be some versions of you that become louder at certain times in your life because you're meant to be giving them attention.
- 54:40SPEAKER_01: So don't look away from that.
- 54:42SPEAKER_01: Because I know for me for a long time I was like, inner child healing, like whatever, I don't know what that is, I don't need that, whatever.
- 54:50SPEAKER_01: And like truly, that has been the one thing that yeah, it's changed a lot for me and just like oh my god.
- 55:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I'm so with you, and I think like inner child healing is such like a it's like a buzzy thing, you know.
- 55:07SPEAKER_00: People people right now are like, I'm going to, I'm gonna go like to the park, like I'm giving my inner child what she wants, whatever, but like the work is so much deeper than that.
- 55:16SPEAKER_00: And if you know, you know, and if you don't know, one day you will.
- 55:21SPEAKER_00: But it's like for me, can connecting with my younger self, she is low-key the wisest version of me because she knows what the fuck matters and what doesn't.
- 55:33SPEAKER_00: Like just she knows, she knows what matters and what doesn't, you know.
- 55:38SPEAKER_00: And it's not, it's not necessarily rolling in the grass, although that is fun and makes my inner child feel good.
- 55:44SPEAKER_00: It's so much deeper than that.
- 55:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and there's so many layers.
- 55:49SPEAKER_01: I know we're off on a tangent, and but yeah, there's just so many layers that um yeah, that you can keep peeling back.
- 55:58SPEAKER_01: That uh, yeah, I think the biggest thing at the end of the day is just not not shaming yourself for like yeah, the past and just where you've been, because that's not gonna help you get anywhere in your business or in the future.
- 56:16SPEAKER_01: So it just doesn't like that will keep you stuck for sure.
- 56:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, for sure.
- 56:21SPEAKER_00: Well, this has been such a good conversation, yeah.
- 56:24SPEAKER_00: Thank you for coming on, and yeah, we'll we'll have everyone follow your Instagram and all that good stuff.
- 56:32SPEAKER_01: Sounds good.
- 56:34SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much for the time, and yeah, I hope thank you.
- 56:39SPEAKER_01: Yes, okay, bye.
- 56:42SPEAKER_01: Bye.
