  well and everyone that is either listening or watching, probably

  just listening. I probably won't put this out.

  This obviously is our first episode of the year and it saw

  the first show of 2026 taking us to the Fairfield Social Club in
• 1:20
  Manchester City centre as Future Shock changed the original show
• 1:29
  because it should have been a Horrible Histories theme but
• 1:34
  they very quickly changed that. Why?
• 1:39
  We do not know, but I think the the change definitely helped
• 1:45
  more I feel. So we went from Horrible
• 1:50
  Histories to the one where Lally take over and unsurprisingly
• 1:56
  it's all Lally taking over. What more could you want that
• 2:01
  the chaos that surrounds Lally and it saw everything
• 2:08
  defensively happening on this particular Sunday afternoon and
• 2:14
  a very cold Manchester day. We will discuss all about the
• 2:22
  the bad weather and things that Hanford things but we will start
• 2:31
  looking at what happened on these shows.
• 2:35
  So match number one saw a four way for the winner to get a spot
• 2:45
  at Lotto Thunder on February the 1st at the Stockport Guildhall
• 2:55
  and featured the following four Doctor Proctor, Harvey Dukes of
• 3:03
  the O5A1, half of the O5I should say Jensen, Vesper and the newly
• 3:13
  rebranded Pele. What was your take on this
• 3:18
  before I get into? It this was a fun opener.
• 3:23
  I enjoyed the added stipulation of the Lotto funder for the
• 3:28
  winner. This was, in my opinion, this is
• 3:32
  how you should be doing Fatal four way matches.
• 3:35
  This is like the staple of how a fatal four way match should run.
• 3:41
  Like not everyone, nobody was teaming up.
• 3:44
  Everybody was just for themselves.
• 3:48
  You want the teasers of like the teaming up, but it was what it
• 3:53
  was. It was a very entertaining
• 3:56
  opener. So the for a opener, this was a
• 4:04
  really fun contest, it has to be said.
• 4:09
  So little kind of what highlights I've picked.
• 4:14
  So you had Harvey Dukes starting the match, super kicking Vespers
• 4:20
  head off right out of the gate while the others kind of just
• 4:24
  looked on. We then had chops in the corner
• 4:30
  from Vespa to Dukes. Vespa then proceeds to do his
• 4:36
  kind of standing on the Brett's rope doing the tank out.
• 4:41
  But once I think we all knew, once it gets to five, he does
• 4:47
  his little steps 5678 routine. This then allowed Dukes to slip
• 4:55
  under pulling down, then proceeds to do his own 10 count.
• 5:03
  Procter then comes over, he does a big build up, he's going to do
• 5:08
  a 10 count, hits him once and that was pretty much all you got
• 5:14
  from him. From there, it saw mostly really
• 5:22
  Procter, Dukes and Pele doing most of this contest with Vespa
• 5:29
  kind of being that heel that just looks for little kind of
• 5:36
  like capitalising moments in matches, which is when all three
• 5:42
  kind of like just beat each other up.
• 5:45
  Jensen tried to crawl into the ring and sneak a victory.
• 5:50
  He did not. Let me tell you now.
• 5:53
  And we then saw later on Dukes being backdropped.
• 5:58
  Over. Proctor who had Vesper in a full
• 6:03
  Nelson then proceeded to hit a sit down full Nelson slam on him
• 6:09
  or a bubble bomb depending how you want to go down that route.

  Double team from Dukes and Proctor on Pele, which was a
• 6:20
  really nice double team. The doctor then drops his
• 6:26
  opponent's knee first with his legs raised up or his knees
• 6:31
  raised up should say. We then had a gorgeous
• 6:35
  springboard cutter from Dukes on Doctor Proctor.
• 6:41
  Pele then kind of drops Duke's face 1st and ends with Pele
• 6:49
  hitting Vespa with what was formerly known as the Royal
• 6:54
  Wave. It's all the the royal stuff

  from his persona. I, I am temporarily and I have

  said this, I'm going to call it the abdication because I think
• 7:16
  it, it fits quite. Currently.

  Again, as a temporary stopgap, that is what I'm using, but I am

  still trying to think of a name so Pele.

  I'm still thinking so that sees Pele.

  Now entering Lotto Funder so we'll wait to see who the other

  participants are, which I am sure we will find out in due
• 7:48
  time or possibly a week before the show match #2 this was an
• 7:57
  interesting 1. So it was Act 2 with Benjamin
• 8:02
  Holland and Jack Nutson taking on the newly re established
• 8:10
  Northwest Strong with Chris Ridgway and Keenan Krishna.

  I'll ask you your thoughts on the group in a minute, but in
• 8:26
  terms of the match, what were your thoughts?

  Miss delivered. This was the main match on the
• 8:33
  card that was looking forward to and it it was what I thought it
• 8:39
  was going to be. It was just brilliant tag team
• 8:42
  wrestling. Like this was the first time
• 8:45
  I've seen Northwest Strong's. I wasn't around following at
• 8:49
  rest when Northwest Strong were on the scene.
• 8:51
  So this was like the first time I've seen a little bit of
• 8:55
  Northwest Stronger known about Northwest Strong because like
• 8:58
  everybody in the scene knows about Northwest Strong.
• 9:01
  So this was the first time seeing Ridgeway and Keenan
• 9:04
  tacked together. I enjoyed that.
• 9:06
  The fact that was like the rock, paper, scissors bit at the start
• 9:10
  where they were shopping because they've not tied together in so
• 9:13
  long, they're not connecting, but they used that to get a
• 9:19
  advantage of active at the start, so it was brilliant.
• 9:24
  It's they came across very, I mean, the promos they've done
• 9:30
  since they announced the the return of Northwest Strong have
• 9:33
  come across very comedic, which is different from how they were
• 9:43
  portrayed prior. But I, I get the feeling and I
• 9:50
  kind of know what they may do on that side.
• 9:54
  So I think they're going to start off a bit kind of easy
• 9:59
  going with them and then they'll get more serious as kind of like
• 10:02
  the weeks and months go by actually say the this is a paper
• 10:08
  rock at the start where they did best of three and it was a tie.
• 10:15
  Then they went to best of five, best of seven, and I think that.
• 10:20
  We're going to go to a best of 11 at once, so the match itself
• 10:29
  saw the start of it. At least Ridgeway and Krishna
• 10:34
  not being on the same page, neither man could decide who was
• 10:39
  going to start for their team, resorting to two of them going
• 10:46
  down the scissor paper stone route.

  Both men were still. Deadlocked after a best of
• 10:53
  three, then a best of five, then I think a best of seven and
• 10:59
  maybe a best of nine. Eventually it saw him just
• 11:04
  running across to the other side and beating up at 2:00.

  This kind of saw like the first signs of viciousness we've seen
• 11:18
  of Northwest strong since the kind of what got back together
• 11:25
  back to though obviously the more dialled in cohesive of the
• 11:31
  two. There was not rust, but there
• 11:34
  was a bit of miscommunication from Ridgeway and Krishna.
• 11:42
  The match changed though when Ridgway grabbed the arm of
• 11:46
  Highland and saw him drop down, pulling his arm off the top rope
• 11:52
  and this saw Northwest Strong just working on the left arm of
• 11:57
  the Sweet Prince. Soon after we had Ridgeway and
• 12:03
  Knudsen going strong style effectively with running boots
• 12:09
  to each of his face going back and forth.
• 12:14
  A miscommunication then sees Ridgeway sending a shoulder into
• 12:20
  the stomach of Krishna as how and leaps out the way.
• 12:26
  Jack Knutson then hits a modified Michinoku driver that
• 12:32
  was on Krishna I think how and then does a double underhook to
• 12:40
  Keenan, lifting him up with nuts and doing a super kick to the
• 12:45
  face. Would have been a free count but
• 12:49
  Ridgway Leps jumped into the ring stopping the arm of Reese
• 12:55
  coming down for the free nuts and then take a couple of
• 13:00
  straight penalty kicks to the chest.
• 13:03
  And they were. Bloody.

  Stiff. Let me tell you, the match then
• 13:10
  includes with a almost like a total elimination move from the
• 13:18
  old ECW days of Kronos and Saturn, where it's all Ridgeway
• 13:26
  performing a leg sweep. Or more of a calf.

  Sweep. To be fair, Krishna coming in
• 13:33
  with a running clothesline hits it on Knudsen.

  They get the 123 to start off the the new era of Northwest
• 13:45
  Strong with victory. So what what are your thoughts

  with kind of like this this new Northwest Strong, even though I
• 13:58
  have just already asked you truth to go?

  I don't know if you saw their intro or entrance video.

  Yeah, I've seen that they were not happy with Ant.

  Yeah, the the promos they've done with Ant, who is already

  striking gold in 2026 already the.

  The videos. They've done to kind of like

  build it up for Northwest Strong have been really entertaining.

  Has to be said. With Keenan kind of turning up

  as as you expect, being called the The Watcher with what the

  black leather gloves, the black coat, really kind of sinister
• 14:55
  music and turns up with basically Ridgeway and Teddy Ray

  just messing around in the In the Future Shock performance
• 15:06
  centre. It's it's not taking itself too
• 15:12
  seriously, but I think eventually when the the wheels
• 15:17
  get going, I think they'll get a bit more kind of sinister.

  Well, hoping at least. What's your thoughts on the

  Northwest strong? Are you happy to see it back or?

  I don't know because I've not this is the first time watching

  it and it's not the full Northwest strong it's just
• 15:41
  Keenan and Teddy so it's it leaves an open door to see if by

  the rest want to return. Yeah.

  I know Real probably won't return after Head Boy and Teddy

  Ray Atomic. You never know, You never know.

  I'm interested to see. Where it goes, I'll say that for

  really happened with the group, kind of like post COVID, the

  So you've always heard. Like certain ones of them being

  representing Northwest Strong, but you've never seen anything

  really happen so. We'll, we'll see where it goes.

  Match #3 Your main event for the first half featured the third
• 16:50
  member of Northwest Strong in Teddy Ray as he took on Mattie
• 16:57
  Tucker. This, I know we kind of chatted

  about this heading, heading back after the show on Sunday.

  This to me was my favourite match of of the show.
• 17:15
  I think mostly because I'm a big fan of like technical wrestling
• 17:22
  and kind of the the mechanics of it and having these two.
• 17:31
  I think if you looked at the card.
• 17:34
  It wasn't particularly a match that jumped out at you, however.
• 17:40
  These two put on a not a clinic, but it was a very good showing
• 17:50
  of technical wrestling and how we can make technical wrestling
• 17:55
  feel more exciting. Neither man could gain an
• 18:01
  advantage in In the early stages of this match.
• 18:06
  Ray lers Tucker over towards the ropes kind of falling down which
• 18:14
  forces Tucker to go over the top rope.
• 18:19
  Teddy Ray then gets up on the middle rope and poses.
• 18:22
  All the fans cheer Matty Tucker who very quickly we established
• 18:29
  was not a fan favourite and especially when they said the
• 18:33
  ace from Liverpool, apart from Miles being a fan of soccer.

  But yeah. As the match went on, Teddy
• 18:51
  begins to focus on the left arm of Matty for a time.
• 18:55
  And just as it. Feels like everything is going
• 18:59
  to and it is. I can't think of the word now.

  Everything is coming up. Milhouse.

  It's the term I was trying to think of.

  Things then begin to go a bit South as Tucker grabs the legs

  of Ray as he goes for the 6th one.

  Rat as a few have called it. He then catapults Ray into the
• 19:24
  ropes and forces him flying over the top rope.

  Tucker then poses just like Teddy did earlier but obviously
• 19:35
  to a chorus of booze. But we then have Matty whipping
• 19:43
  Teddy Ray into the corners with some vicious Irish whips.

  Both men counter with kind of counter pending attempts,
• 19:54
  getting as far as I think maybe a 2 count here or there.

  Tucker manages to get Ray into a Boston crab when Ray was trying
• 20:05
  to look for something else. Ray then runs straight into a
• 20:09
  clothesline from Tucker who kind of saw him coming.
• 20:15
  Attending manages to then reverse things and put on an
• 20:18
  ankle lock. A six one rat is then hit.
• 20:24
  Followed by a leaping, twisting crossbody backwards, which is
• 20:30
  what Ray seems to use for his finisher now.
• 20:34
  However, that gets reversed into a pin for Matty Tucker, but only
• 20:41
  gets a 2 count. Tucker then hits a spinebuster.

  Ray looks to hit a suplex from Brett's rope and despite trying
• 20:54
  and trying cannot do it, eventually resorts to biting
• 20:59
  him, which, let's face it, why we all love.

  Teddy Ray eventually hits a suplex.

  The ending saw a jumping back crossbody from Teddy Ray to get
• 21:16
  the pinfall the I. Think we've?

  Said this before, since he's done the whole reboot, the ropes

  and turnbuckles seem to. I don't know if it's material,
• 21:34
  but there's been a couple of. Like slips.

  Yeah, because I was in a dry position to watch him set up the
• 21:41
  finisher. So he, he kind of slipped off
• 21:44
  the middle rope like where the metal is like when he's trying
• 21:48
  to go up to do the his finisher and it's, I don't know, this
• 21:55
  seems to be something up with a ring.

  I don't know. There's a lot of slips.

  Because I know I've I've got one of the old turnbuckles and it's

  almost like thick material. Yeah, this one looks like more

  of a shiny material. Yeah, it's, it seems a bit more

  shinier, which looks looks good for cameras, but it I mean, they

  must kind of like use roughly the same kind of like ropes and

  turnbuckles for the the training school.

  But it's just been like a couple of incidents now where they've

  struggled kind of getting a good footing or the ropes.

  And it's always it's mostly the corners though because the the

  reboot show the no one could seemingly get a footing on the

  actual turnbuckles and then in Stockport I'm trying to think

  which which match it was. To go.

  Yes, that was it. They just seem to have a like a

  they couldn't get grip or purchase depending how you want

  to call it on the on like the ropes it.

  So the only toilet they had available was actually in the

  bar and saw a massive queue if you wanted the toilet, which was

  a bit humorous, especially when you queued up and it was kind of

  almost two to three fans and then it was like a wrestler,

  another two to three fans. Then it was either another
• 26:07
  wrestler or an official future shock.

  I think I was looking around and thought I'll I'll give it 5

  minutes and I'll come back. The lights were still not

  anyone that saw me on Sunday I was not my normal self so.

  If people had. Spoke to me, I probably wasn't

  fully paying attention. So yeah, that still was that.

  So again, if you did try and talk to me and I wasn't

  listening, my apologies. And then I got back in and had

  Isaiah Quim saying. Would you like more wrestling?

  And then I sat down back in my seat on front row.

  Asked the bloke. Have I missed anything?

  And he went, yeah, you've just missed one match.

  So I did not particularly know. Kind of like what the match was

  till I think just after it finished, I was informed who it
• 34:45
  was. So on this particular one, I'm

  going to throw it to Miles because he actually saw the
• 34:53
  match. And it was a damn good match as
• 34:55
  well. So Troy Ryan comes out.

  He was originally scheduled on the show.

  So Troy comes out looking for a match.

  Polly Barlow then comes up because Barry and Strong's video

  package plays and she stops the music and says he's still dead.

  So she can't revive Brian Strong.

  So then, because Brian Strong is dead, we got Brian's son Ryuk,

  and this turned into Troy versus Broyuk.

  And this was just a battle of meaty, meaty, meaty men.

  It's it's a thing of when I found out this match, I was so
• 35:46
  gutted that I couldn't see it because I'm a fan of both Ryan
• 35:51
  and Strong, especially his dad, because, you know, rest in
• 35:56
  peace, Brian. But I always enjoy watching

  these two like wrestle whenever they are.
• 36:07
  But to actually miss this I'm so I'm actually so disappointed I
• 36:12
  missed it because. It would.

  Have been a good scrap. There is a good spot in this
• 36:18
  match. I remember I think Troy says to

  Bright like I feel sorry for you that you've lost your dad.

  And then Brian responds, at least I've not lost my tag team

  partner. And then Troy just lays a beat

  into women because he turned into like Hulk Hulks up and

  Brock said that and it was just really in battle.

  I like just to meet meaty guys. I Drake had a big massive fight
