- 0:16[SPEAKER_04]: Harvard Professor, Avie Loeb is joining us about Interstellar Object 3i Atlas.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_04]: Avie, it's a pleasure to have you on the show.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for having me, it's a great pleasure to join you.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely, what are some of these anomalies?
- 0:34[SPEAKER_04]: I noticed you put the anomalies keep getting added to.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_04]: There's more and more anomalies, you know, weekly, sometimes daily, what got you going on this whole journey and what led you to see some of these first anomalies before you posted on this object?
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: Well, first let me say that anomalies is the way for us to learn something new when the data that we collect does not line up with what we expect.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's the meaning of anomalies.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: And in this case, everyone said it must be a comet of the type that we've seen in the solar system.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: That was the immediate interpretation.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: As soon as the object was discovered on July 1st, 2025.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_01]: And indeed, there are some,
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: common features between this object and comets, but there are also things that it does that we've never seen before.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: And those are the ones that interest me, they intrigue me.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why I speak about it.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I get five million views to my essays every month.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_01]: These are essays I post on medium.com.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: You can check all the details there.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: So the first thing that triggered my interest was that this object was coming, even though it came from outside the solar system, it was moving too fast to be bound by the sun, moving at 60 kilometers per second outside the solar system, which is actually a high speed relative to the local population of stars.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: But at any event, it was moving along the plane of the planets,
- 2:03[SPEAKER_01]: around the sun, this is called the Cliptic Plane, where the Earth is moving around the sun, all the other planets as well, and it came within five degrees of that plane, and the chance for that happening at random is one in 500, and this is only the third object that we've seen from outside the solar system.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: If we had seen hundreds of them, it would have been quite expected to have one that is aligned so well, but why?
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: So that raised the possibility, maybe the trajectory is designed free to do some reconnaissance mission or something else.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: But as a result of some intelligence that sent it.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: And then we realized that, in fact, there is
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: jet coming from the object in the direction of the sun and the jet is ten times longer than it is wide.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: It existed from the beginning when we have seen it in July but also we can see it now amateur astronomers images or the Hubble Space Telescope images through the month of December indicated that there is this jet which is propagating towards the sun, not a way from the sun
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: And there is a good reason why the cometary tales stretch away from the sun, and that's because the solar radiation and the solar wind are pushing the gas and dust particles away from the sun.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: But in this case, what you see is an antitail.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: A jet moving towards the sun and the question is why, why is this so different than we have seen before in the case of comets?
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: And the other thing that is strange is we can tell the rotation axis of the object.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: So it looks like it's at large distances.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's also aligned with the direction of the sun.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: With the probability of half a percent.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: And the question is why would the rotation axis be aligned with the direction towards the sun or away from the sun?
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: And that is actually also, we can tell that also from the fact that the anti-tale is processing around the rotation axis at a very small angle.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: In addition, we see a plume of gas around it that contains a lot of nickel but very little iron.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: And that is never seen anything like it in astrophysical objects.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: The only place where we've seen it is in industrially produced nickel alloys.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: And there is a process by which you separate the iron out of the nickel.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: Both of them are used by exploding stars.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: And so in our industries, we try to make metals that are stronger by removing the iron, living the nickel, and we use it for aerospace applications, for example.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: here we see it in nature and the people who realize that discovered it from the data, they said, well, maybe nature uses the same carbonyl process that separates the iron out of the nickel, we have never seen that before.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: And so that may be a technological signature.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: Then we also see that the object will get on March 16th.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get close.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: to Jupiter at exactly the distance where Jupiter's gravity dominates over the sun's tide and the question is why will it come exactly that distance today this morning I actually wrote an essay talking about one of the moons the regular moons of Jupiter that will come very close to this subject when three hours will pass close to Jupiter and meet the march and then all together I do think we should check whether it
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: deposits, any smaller probes or satellites around Jupiter for some reason, and all of these, you know, anomalies that are 15 of them, I just listed the most significant ones, make me wonder whether it's a technological object, and in fact, I'm not alone because as it turns out, there was a
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: a freedom of information act request to the CIA about the existence of any documents related to three I Atlas, the name of the object, and the response was that they cannot confirm nor deny, such documents exist.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: If they didn't exist, they would simply say there is nothing in response to the request, but instead they said they cannot deny or confirm, and that means
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: to me that they were actually contemplating the possibility that it might be a black swan event.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: You know, this is a very unlikely event, you know, astronomers, comet experts would say it must be a comet, and then if it turns out not to be a comet, but alien technology then of course there would be huge implication to society because it's like a visitor to our backyard that can come in through the front door.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: And we all know that if you multiply a small probability for something materializing, but then you say the implications are huge.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: You multiply it by the huge impact.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: Then you must very seriously take the possibility that it might actually be a risk, the threat.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: And therefore, that's the way that intelligence agencies operate.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: Scientists are not used to this mode of thinking.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: If they can say at the 95% level, they are confident that it's a comet, they would say it's just a comet.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: But they don't realize that in situations where society can be affected, we must consider even low probability events.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: And when the intelligence agencies made this mistake, the consequences were quite harsh.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: That was on September 11, 2001 and on October 7, 2023.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_01]: And also in the Trojan horse story, we know what happened to the residents of the city of Troy that accepted it without examining it.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I'm a big proponent as a journalist of Occam's razor, where
- 8:10[SPEAKER_04]: you know you you look at all your probabilities and and these calculations like you came up with these improbabilities and you know one of them alone might might be like okay could be coincidental too but like even like as a journalist I've I've authored over 6,000 reports so
- 8:33[SPEAKER_04]: So, I've seen all of my investigations in how they manifest and for there to be, you know, over ten anomalies, you know, even over three, going with Arkham's Razor, I myself, on the Loeb scale, if I was going to do the Loeb scale myself,
- 8:51[SPEAKER_04]: I would almost have to rank this in mind.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_04]: Now, I know you probably have a fiduciary responsibility, maybe, you know, with Harvard and your colleagues and stuff.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_04]: But, and you're very outspoken on this, so you're already sticking your neck out on this a little bit.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_04]: But,
- 9:11[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to go with 99.8% probability that this object is, in fact, alien.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_04]: And how you say the nickel alloy, it's interesting that NASA spacecraft uses in the development of their holes.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_04]: And I heard you one time talk about
- 9:36[SPEAKER_04]: the weight of this object, the mass, 33 billion tons, I think it was, or million, and what's the new estimated size, like, what is the general consensus on this size?
- 9:52[SPEAKER_04]: Because when I run some calculations with, like, a
- 9:56[SPEAKER_04]: 20 millimeter thick nickel hole that would have the proper radiation shielding for all this and, you know, for the dust protection and everything that you need.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_04]: It's basically saying this would be about a two and a half mile wide craft if it was produced with nickel to equal that weight that, you know, is being thrown around.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: So one way to evaluate the mass is if we know how much mass is being lost and how, you know, we see this antitail and it carries some mass with it and that should just like in a rocket, it should give a push to the object.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: So we measure non-gravitational acceleration.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: We measure how much the object is accelerating, not just as a result of the force of gravity from the
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: And from that we can get an estimate for the mass of the object, that in the latest numbers, I mean originally there was a much bigger non-gravitational acceleration reported.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: That was shortly after Perry Helion when the object came close to the sun and that's the origin of my original estimate 33 billion tons.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: But it looks like
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the acceleration dropped by a factor 40 or so, the best value that was estimated by NASA, and for that, you need about a billion tons of material.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: But we are still waiting for the updated numbers, because a lot of the data was not processed yet.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: The best data was obtained when the object came
- 11:46[SPEAKER_01]: I would just wait a few more weeks and we will have much better numbers.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: The other thing is, I'm working on analyzing the images.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: We have 17 images during December, between November 30th and December 27th.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: That we're taken by the Hubble Space Telescope that gives us information about the anti-tail jet.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: And it looks like it's actually
- 12:09[SPEAKER_01]: wobbling, and then I'm calculating the period of the wobble, which is the result of the rotation, the spin of the object.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_01]: As I said, the axis of the rotation is in the direction of the sun, but just like in a lighthouse, if the jet is slightly offset, misaligned with the rotation axis, you would get the wobbling jet.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what we're seeing.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: And so, I mean, the process of calculating
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think we will get more data in the coming weeks and months and the irrespective of what you are leaning to in terms of the conclusion.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: I would say it's far more exciting to live your life asking questions than giving answers because...
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: If you're dogmatic and you want to enforce an narrative on the public, you would organize a press conference by NASA officials and tell the public, it's a comment, forget about it, that's it.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what happened, actually, on November 19th, when NASA just made that statement.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: However, as a scientist, it's much more thrilling to say that lots of questions, we don't understand about that.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: Let's figure it out.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: Let's open the conversation.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that science is founded on the humility to learn, not on the arrogance of expertise.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_01]: But fortunately, what you see over and over again is people who call themselves experts that are showing arrogance.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_01]: They basically say, this is what you need to know.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: They don't even open the conversation.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: And they don't mention their anomalies either.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's not as if they solved their anomalies.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: They simply ignore them.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_04]: I agree with that.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_04]: And you know, this wow signal discovered on August 15th 1977 by the big ear telescope at Ohio State University is a big thing because
- 14:04[SPEAKER_04]: You, I know you say the thing came maybe within like nine degrees of the wow signal I believe.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: That said the rival direction of three Atlas was within nine degrees.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and back then when in 1977 it was 600 times the Erson separation away from us.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: It was about three like days away.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: and nuclear power plant quite easily.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, it's not as if it's impossible to imagine such a signal.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_04]: And that's something I noticed too.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_04]: The imagery of this thing in a lot of the images looks fairly concentric.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_04]: And if we get into like a little bit of tin foil hat territory, you know, talking about like Bob Lazar, and he's talked about these propulsion systems that these UAPs and UFOs might have, and, you know, if you're into UFO sightings, you know, you might have heard like the Las Vegas aliens in the backyard, type thing, when they saw the craft,
- 15:20[SPEAKER_04]: it was kind of blurry around it because it was distorting space time and stuff and you know this power source that you're talking about being that large would have you know maybe some type of effect on the light bending or gravitational wave but one thing I notice is the thing looks fairly concentric and a lot of these images almost spherical like a
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: Well, there is a glowing hello around it.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: And that is usually in the case of comments.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's called the comma.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: And except that in the case of a comment, what happens is that the gas and dust in the comma
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: are being blown away from the sun and in this case when we focus, when we zoom in around the nucleus, there are actually multiple jets and the three of them are seen in the Hubble images and they are actually 120 degrees from each other so they create a very symmetric pattern near the object that's a result of the analysis of the Hubble images that I presented in a few of my essays
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: December just a few weeks ago.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: So you can check it out.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so exactly what is going on near the object with what the nature of the object.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: As far as I'm concerned, it needs to be understood and even if people claim it's a natural object, you know, it is our duty to be curious and ask why does it show these features and.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: In the context of unidentified anomalous phenomena, or UFOs, I'm leading the Galileo project that is constructing observatories, currently there are three of them.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: And one of them is in Massachusetts, another one in Pennsylvania, and a third one in Nevada.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: And we are collecting data on a few million objects every year now, starting now.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: And the whole piece that we can see if there are any objects that are outside that performance envelopes.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, technologies.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely, Professor Loeb.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_04]: And you've been working with this fear in Las Vegas.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_04]: And I find this fascinating.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_04]: And the three observatories, I assume that would be some type of triangulation thing you're doing.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: So the goal is each of them will have three components such that, you know, that's separated by about 10 kilometers and we can then look at the same object from different directions and infer its distance velocity acceleration.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that, I mean, for the same reason that we have two eyes and so that we can gauge the distance of a threat, you know.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: So the hope is that within a year or in the coming decade we'll have very convincing data about the questions that we are asking right now.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, it's three atlas is presumably not the only visitor from Interstellar space.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: The Rubin Observatory in Chile will find many more in the coming decade.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: The perhaps one ever few months or so.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think this will be an ongoing exciting.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: project is if there are any among all the rocks there are any tennis balls that were thrown by neighbor you know absolutely you know there was an article that came out
- 18:46[SPEAKER_04]: In January of 1983, called Ideas and Trends clues get warm in the search for planet X.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_04]: And this came out in the New York Times.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_04]: I remember my grandpa coming to the table during dinner with this newspaper article, and talking about how they found this potential planet X.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_04]: It tugging on things and potentially emitting light and sound.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_04]: They're saying that this was in the farthest reaches of the solar system.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_04]: They knew that things were tugging on Uranus and Neptune and... Well, it's still an active event.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: Free search.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: And there are people are searching for it.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: planet 9, actually, it's called now.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: And then there is another planet that is conjecture to exist based on the gravitational tag that's right, that thing on other objects.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then
- 19:47[SPEAKER_01]: There was actually another one, a third one that was discovered from the effect that it had on other objects, and so it's quite different than those.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_01]: So altogether, in the outskirts of the solar system there could be a lot of bodies that we haven't recognized.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: the planets that you're talking about are very massive, you know, there are five times the mass of the earth or so, but if you deal with a smaller objects, you know, there could be a lot of them out there.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there could be,
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: For example, you could imagine having a fleet of, you know, spacecraft part in the outer solar system would never know about it because they don't reflect sunlight at a level that our biggest telescope can detect.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely, you know, I am a planet X researcher, and so there's, you know, some interesting stuff that I came up with on this, not saying this is an abeary or anything, but there is symbolism that's been used in history, and there's this thermal image of At-West.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_04]: And I happen to turn it and overlay the general symbol for Nabiru and it happens to fit the exact proportions of this, the wings coming out, the whole look of this,
- 21:18[SPEAKER_04]: And so I got I want to play a four minute video and take you a little further into tin foil hat territory here just for fun, but you know this is interesting and I'm not saying there's anything to this but there's this guy Chris Bladso came out.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_04]: And, you know, since we're talking about interstellar objects and UFOs and stuff like this, this guy claims to have been visited by UFO people, I guess, in like 2013.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_04]: And the Pentagon wanted to know about what these people told them and this, you know, the whatever he went through and it somehow ties in to an Easter arrival in 2026.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_04]: And he went on the Sean Ryan Show ahead of Atlas.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_04]: and he went on other previous shows and it's fascinating because if you look at the trajectory of Atlas and how it relates to the earth over here, I've I've spread this up to April 1st right here and we see over here on the side I'm going to pull up this pin if I can pull it up.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_04]: We see
- 22:40[SPEAKER_04]: the pattern where Atlas could have dropped off probes or ships if they would have just stopped here and kind of chilled for a minute.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_04]: Earth is over here right now and it's slowly moving this way and around April 1st it will be right here.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_04]: which was that would be a good point for this if this was a craft to have dropped something off on its way to Jupiter and you've suspected it's it's possible this thing uh... interacted with Mars even in the fact that it's coming within the geocoron as of Jupiter and all this stuff um... but
- 23:17[SPEAKER_04]: coincidentally I want to play this clip.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_04]: It's a four minute clip of you.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_04]: Let's go into 10 foil hat territory for four minutes here.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: Eventually I began to remember some of what happened not all but what I can tell you.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_00]: The four hours.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: Why was gone was a virtual tour.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_00]: I was inside a bubble.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_00]: something that was solid, and I've to stand on, but I couldn't see the walls, but I could touch them.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: But I can see everything in every direction.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: And there were always three figures behind me that were shadowy, and they were narrating what I was seeing.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I saw North America from way up
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: And as Hathor's temple, I saw that dispatched face into the east.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then the lady comes back.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_00]: Baldwin, you're after all this.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: This was in 2013, when I really got that message from her.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: This was when I was asked by the Pentagon.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: but two air force generals to put it in writing was she told me, and I did, and this was all in a request from NASA, a friend at NASA, so he come and got it and hand delivered it to these generals.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: And she told me that she said that when the star of regulars,
- 25:02[SPEAKER_00]: She called it a red star.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: When you look at it, it looks blue, but she said, when redness is red on the horizon, in front of the gays of the span, before daylight.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: So in other words, when it's sitting right on top of the horizon, before the sun comes up, that that moment would mark a change and humanity's knowledge.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_00]: And as ten, she showed me other things.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_00]: War, us bombing our ran, us bombing Syria, and then them days, and none of that had happened.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I put all that on this piece of paper.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: And now I've had so many right me back, oh my God, you see they just bombed our ran, or our ran just bombed us, you know?
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: You were right, a whole time.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I did that in 2012 and so what they did was I gave them today of 2026 because they took that celestial event and ran it through these machines that showed that exact alignment will happen in 2026.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: That was AI.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_00]: What will happen?
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: The star will look the alignment she told me about that the
- 26:20[SPEAKER_00]: there'd be a new knowledge.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I had no idea if this was even possible, you know, but these astronomers run up to the machines and it comes out.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: And that store is going to come up on the horizon and these two are of twenty twenty six.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_00]: These two are twenty twenty six.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: I gave them a specific time.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: And it was with Robert Grant that I told him about this alignment now and then he's like,
- 26:50[SPEAKER_00]: This little ruby you have to find in place between all the spikes to make this event that he knows is going to happen in 2026.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's the Robert is not a ruby, it's the star of regulars, it looks like it's like, oh my god, that's sticking stuff.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_04]: So, Abbey, to me, this is fascinating.

- 35:25[SPEAKER_04]: ships going around and they had field hospitals with trauma surgeons, not COVID surgeons, trauma surgeons, and that deal with impact wounds and they wanted 50,000 trauma surgeons.

- 35:43[SPEAKER_04]: I found out this tightened all these continuity of government operations and everything that was upcoming.
