- 1:04Speaker 3: It was a very weird day.
- 1:05Speaker 2: It's a weird day. I don't think we've talked about
- 1:09Speaker 2: it on here, but I went up to Duluth. Oh yeah,
- 1:12Speaker 2: that's right, and it was awesome. We got like the
- 1:16Speaker 2: most beautiful day up there. It was like fifty and
- 1:20Speaker 2: it was kind of crazy because Kelsey had she you know,
- 1:25Speaker 2: was responsible for taking care of all of us really yes.
- 1:28Speaker 2: And in all of that, she forgot to bring her coat.
- 1:31Speaker 3: She forgot her own coat.
- 1:34Speaker 2: And we went up to Split Rock Lighthouse, which is
- 1:37Speaker 2: up a little bit past two Harbors.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Oh, just tarling up there.
- 1:42Speaker 2: It's absolutely gorgeous up there. But like on most days
- 1:46Speaker 2: you need a coat, and it could have like it
- 1:49Speaker 2: could have been like completely ruined, and it was a
- 1:52Speaker 2: beautiful day. She didn't even need it. It was wonderful.
- 1:55Speaker 3: She always says you to keep her warm wrap. Yeah, props,
- 1:59Speaker 3: Like I'm wearing my coat, You're gonna have to future
- 2:02Speaker 3: something out.
- 2:02Speaker 2: It was like the only one wearing my coat. I swear,
- 2:05Speaker 2: I'm just that guy. Now it's just like just like
- 2:08Speaker 2: I'm a little.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Chili, I'm gonna put a little cold on.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Just gonna keep this on. I'm like almost always in
- 2:13Speaker 2: a hoodie.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Now that's fun. I like it.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm into it.
- 2:17Speaker 3: We're men of comfort, you know.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah, we're not here anything is hoodie. I love the
- 2:24Speaker 2: it's there. I think they call it city connect.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Yeah, one of those Okay, I like that northern life thing.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I like that. It's kind of fun.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Yeah, that's cool.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I like it. Oh And speaking of twins, I'm going
- 2:38Speaker 2: to the home opener tomorrow.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Oh, I didn't even know it was tomorrow.
- 2:41Speaker 2: It's tomorrow, dude.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Nice, I'm excited for that.
- 2:45Speaker 3: That's gonna be a little chilli.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Man, it'll be a wee bit chilli. The high is
- 2:48Speaker 2: forty four.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Ah, that's doable.
- 2:51Speaker 2: It's doable. We just went and did the Loons game
- 2:56Speaker 2: a couple of weeks ago, and it was about the same.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, and.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I was okay, I have some handwarmers.
- 3:03Speaker 3: That is clutch put we get all the If my
- 3:06Speaker 3: hands are warm, I'm okay. My hands and feet sees.
- 3:09Speaker 2: The only it was just my toes that got cold,
- 3:12Speaker 2: So I'm gonna I'm gonna try and keep them in
- 3:14Speaker 2: my in my shoes this time.
- 3:16Speaker 3: But were you taking your shoes off last time?
- 3:19Speaker 2: No, it just they just got cold and I was
- 3:21Speaker 2: just wearing like one pair of I think I'm gonna
- 3:24Speaker 2: go all out, get like the smart wooll real thicks.
- 3:26Speaker 3: We got plan ahead. Yeah, I get you, you get you,
- 3:30Speaker 3: get you. Yeah, I'm exciting. Yeah, super fune. Have you
- 3:35Speaker 3: been watching any films?
- 3:36Speaker 2: Well, yes I have, Thank you for asking. Currently in
- 3:41Speaker 2: the theaters is a film that is based on a
- 3:44Speaker 2: true story called Last Breath with Woody Harrel's Oh Yeah,
- 3:50Speaker 2: Simu Liu, and the main character is played by Finn Cole,
- 3:55Speaker 2: who I recognized as Michael from The Peaky Blind Days
- 4:00Speaker 2: IF and Blinde Pig.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Oh that's fun. I thought that one of those other
- 4:06Speaker 3: dudes was the lead, So that's you've already taught me.
- 4:10Speaker 2: He's pretty much the lead guy. Cool. Yeah, those you know,
- 4:14Speaker 2: Woody and Simou also have pretty big roles. But for
- 4:19Speaker 2: people that aren't aware, it's about these deep sea divers
- 4:23Speaker 2: that work for a company that does underwater repairs. They
- 4:27Speaker 2: work in very deep water and some stuff goes away
- 4:32Speaker 2: and it becomes a rescue mission. It is pretty intense.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I didn't know this story at all, so I was
- 4:40Speaker 2: pretty invested. So it wasn't like you know, when you
- 4:42Speaker 2: go and see Titanic, you're like, oh, I wonder if
- 4:45Speaker 2: the ship is going to stay up there?
- 4:47Speaker 3: Like yeah, yeah.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I didn't have any of that, so I was into it.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Very suspenseful. I was moving, it was well paced. It's
- 4:55Speaker 2: a tight ninety minute.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Love that we love a tight I'm into that.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Yes, so I thought it was definitely worth seeing. I
- 5:05Speaker 2: don't know if you need to go to the theater
- 5:07Speaker 2: to see it.
- 5:08Speaker 3: It feels like a streamer to me a little bit.
- 5:11Speaker 2: It's a little bit of a streamer.
- 5:13Speaker 3: But yeah, I go see worse stuff than that in
- 5:15Speaker 3: the theater.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Oh, I've been to the theater with you and seen
- 5:19Speaker 2: much worse.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's worth checking out. It's called Last Breath.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Nice. That's super fun. I'm excited to check that out.
- 5:28Speaker 2: What have you been watching?
- 5:31Speaker 3: So? I watched a little film called The Heart Eyes,
- 5:34Speaker 3: which I have I think mentioned in the past. Yeah,
- 5:39Speaker 3: it is a horror movie. I just watched it today actually,
- 5:43Speaker 3: but this is a horror film about hard Eyes is
- 5:47Speaker 3: the name of a killer oh attacks people only on
- 5:52Speaker 3: Valentine's Day. So it is kind of a it's it's
- 5:56Speaker 3: really farcical. It's in it's more in the vein of
- 6:00Speaker 3: like a scary no, not scary movie scream sorry, scream
- 6:04Speaker 3: type movie actually, but even even lending into scary movie
- 6:09Speaker 3: territory a little bit as well, because they're making fun
- 6:12Speaker 3: of a lot of stuff in this movie cool and
- 6:14Speaker 3: they're kind of spoofing both. It's not like a full
- 6:18Speaker 3: on parody, but it's close. You know, they're they're edging
- 6:21Speaker 3: towards it, but rom coms and horror movies and things.
- 6:25Speaker 3: It was not amazing but a pretty fun time. I
- 6:28Speaker 3: had a good time with it. I didn't I recognized
- 6:31Speaker 3: the one guy, Mason Gooding was in. Uh, I don't know.
- 6:36Speaker 3: He's been in a few things. He was in that
- 6:39Speaker 3: I Want You Back movie a while back that had
- 6:43Speaker 3: Charlie Day.
- 6:44Speaker 2: And oh yeah, I like that.
- 6:46Speaker 3: What's her name she was?
- 6:47Speaker 2: It wasn't Jenny Slate was it was? Yeah, I liked
- 6:51Speaker 2: that movie. It was fun.
- 6:52Speaker 3: I did too. I like that he's one of like
- 6:54Speaker 3: the other characters in that, and I think he was
- 6:58Speaker 3: in one of the like to all the boys I've
- 7:00Speaker 3: loved before style movies that I already loved.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Oh oh, I love a big fan over here, guys.
- 7:07Speaker 3: I can never get him to shut up about him.
- 7:09Speaker 3: But anyway, he was like the only one, honestly that
- 7:12Speaker 3: I really recognized. Other than a few really small parts.
- 7:16Speaker 3: It was a pretty fun movie. Also, like ninety five minutes,
- 7:20Speaker 3: so it's got that going for it, and it's, you know,
- 7:24Speaker 3: it is the I will say fun type of horror movie,
- 7:27Speaker 3: not like you know, it is Gorrian parts, but it's
- 7:30Speaker 3: more a little more light hearted and silly. I liked it, Yeah,
- 7:36Speaker 3: but I I don't really recommend it.
- 7:42Speaker 2: I had a fun time, but it would have never
- 7:44Speaker 2: guessed that you were then gonna end with I don't
- 7:47Speaker 2: recommend it.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Well, here's the thing. If you think you'll enjoy it,
- 7:51Speaker 3: you're probably right. But I don't want to persuade anyone
- 7:54Speaker 3: to see this movie because it's very.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Silly and yeah, nothing but good thing to say about him.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I don't recommend it.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I mean, I'm an easy audience.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Wrap you are you are.
- 8:06Speaker 3: I don't want someone to spend their only night out
- 8:08Speaker 3: on this movie.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Yeah, don't do that. Another streamer, Oh, big time streamer. Yeah,
- 8:13Speaker 2: there you go for sure. So that's me with my
- 8:16Speaker 2: moderate take. What have you been streaming something that I
- 8:20Speaker 2: would recommend? Oh? We got Season three of Reacher is
- 8:26Speaker 2: all done and I watched it? Did you not? Have
- 8:30Speaker 2: you not watched it?
- 8:30Speaker 4: No?
- 8:31Speaker 3: I haven't. I fell behind on Reacher for some reason.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Okay, well I think I wast likely. I want them
- 8:35Speaker 2: all to be out. I just want to binge it.
- 8:38Speaker 2: I get this week that show, yeah, I get that,
- 8:41Speaker 2: Like it's not smart enough for me.
- 8:43Speaker 3: To watch week to week. I need to be able
- 8:45Speaker 3: to munch a bunch of them at the same time.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Yes, So the season was pretty good up until the finale.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Oh no, it's awesome. Oh great, Oh that could have
- 8:55Speaker 2: been the wrong way. Okay, cool got awesome in the finale.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Well now, I'm definitely.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Back big fan of the finale because I was kind
- 9:04Speaker 2: of lukewarm on this season. I didn't really care about
- 9:07Speaker 2: the new characters they brought in for the most part.
- 9:11Speaker 2: And yeah, but I was going to just have the
- 9:14Speaker 2: final episode on in the background while I did this outline,
- 9:17Speaker 2: and I ended up just stopping and I was just like,
- 9:21Speaker 2: we're really going to focus in on this note. Is
- 9:24Speaker 2: that's awesome? I like it was great. Some stuff went down,
- 9:28Speaker 2: a bunch of action. It was pretty great. I would recommend.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Yeah. I was kind of feeling the way I think
- 9:34Speaker 3: you said this at one point or another where you
- 9:37Speaker 3: were like, he just kind of kills everyone now, and
- 9:39Speaker 3: that is like a little weird.
- 9:41Speaker 5: I was like, Yeah, it felt like he had this
- 9:47Speaker 5: like pretty serious moral compass, and this season it felt
- 9:51Speaker 5: like they went a different way.
- 9:53Speaker 3: With that, and they're all kind of dirt bags, So
- 9:55Speaker 3: I guess I get it. But at the same yeah, anyway,
- 9:58Speaker 3: that doesn't matter. But yeah, that's cool. Well, I'm glad
- 10:00Speaker 3: to hear that. It gets super intriguing. It was cool.
- 10:03Speaker 2: It was a cool ending, for sure.
- 10:05Speaker 3: You love it, Okay, cool?
- 10:06Speaker 2: Yeah, check it out And that's on Prime's rhyme.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Yes, I want to check it out. Correct.
- 10:12Speaker 2: What have you been streaming?
- 10:13Speaker 3: I have been over on Hulu. I believe Yellow Jacket
- 10:18Speaker 3: season three is out now. As you know, I've enjoyed
- 10:22Speaker 3: this show. Yeah, this is a little bit like their
- 10:25Speaker 3: Reacher situation. I've been watching it. I've been liking it. Okay,
- 10:30Speaker 3: they're kind of losing me a little bit, and then
- 10:33Speaker 3: we had a really fun episode and now I'm like
- 10:36Speaker 3: all the way back in. So I think there's two
- 10:40Speaker 3: more episodes left this season as of when we're recording it,
- 10:43Speaker 3: because I think there's ten. I've watched.
- 10:45Speaker 2: So they go week to week, yeah.
- 10:47Speaker 3: They do, and I hadn't. I hadn't been watching week
- 10:50Speaker 3: to because I watched like two or three, so I'd
- 10:53Speaker 3: watched a few and then you know, kind of caught
- 10:55Speaker 3: back up. But they had a really some crazy stuff happened.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Oh that was fun.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I had heard that that first season was incredible. The
- 11:04Speaker 2: second season was kind of mah, yeah, how are you
- 11:07Speaker 2: feeling about this season?
- 11:08Speaker 3: Uh mah, But we're trending upward. I think I think
- 11:14Speaker 3: they were a little bit hamstrung by Juliette Lewis, was
- 11:19Speaker 3: was in it since the beginning and had signed on
- 11:22Speaker 3: for five seasons but then left at the end of
- 11:25Speaker 3: last season. So I think they're kind of scrambling because
- 11:28Speaker 3: she was a main ish character. Okay, she's or just
- 11:32Speaker 3: one of the main people for sure, But so I
- 11:35Speaker 3: think they're kind of scrambling a little bit. But I
- 11:38Speaker 3: feel like we're kind of getting out of that now
- 11:41Speaker 3: a little bit, maybe, you know. So I think we're
- 11:44Speaker 3: on the upswing perhaps, But it's an interesting show and
- 11:48Speaker 3: it's a if nothing else is bonkers. So but they've
- 11:51Speaker 3: had some really fun like needle drop moments and stuff
- 11:54Speaker 3: this year, which is which we always love, right when
- 11:57Speaker 3: you picked like a really good song. Yeah, So yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 3: I think it's worth checking out. It's not going to
- 12:02Speaker 3: be for everybody, so you know, if you're not into
- 12:05Speaker 3: it after the first couple episodes, feel free to bail
- 12:08Speaker 3: right right one of those deals.
- 12:10Speaker 2: But I'm just glad it's not only on Showtime now
- 12:12Speaker 2: because now I can actually go and watch it if
- 12:14Speaker 2: I want to.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Oh, that's right, yeah, because it is a showtime show,
- 12:17Speaker 3: isn't it.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Yeah, but it is on Huluno, so yeah, that's interesting.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Yeah, check it out. I don't know if you'd like
- 12:23Speaker 3: it or not, but there's definitely a chance.
- 12:26Speaker 2: It's full cool.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Nice.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Should we do a few plug runs? I think we should.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Nice.

- 13:54Speaker 2: we don't think we've used before. Yeah, I feel like
- 14:01Speaker 2: we've had to have but a top five Father Son
- 14:06Speaker 2: Movies draft.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Hell yeah, hell.
- 14:09Speaker 2: But honestly, when I was researching, I was like, I
- 14:11Speaker 2: don't know if I've ever researched this.
- 14:13Speaker 3: I kind of I think we've just done like Family before,
- 14:17Speaker 3: So I feel like we're saffe actually okay, yeah, and
- 14:21Speaker 3: either way, it's just for fundsies.
- 14:23Speaker 2: It's just for funies.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I love it. What is it? I was just
- 14:26Speaker 3: trying to think of the is it Groundhog Day? Where
- 14:28Speaker 3: he's like, what is the chances he'll stay with us
- 14:31Speaker 3: again tomorrow? And he's like seventy five to eighty when.
- 14:34Speaker 2: He's starting to doubt it.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I love that.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Ye sorry, because he's a meteorologist, which is great.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, And at first he's like chances of
- 14:42Speaker 3: departure and then the next day is like seventy yeah.
- 14:49Speaker 3: I think it's fun. I love that we are here
- 14:52Speaker 3: today to talk about a great film called Frequency from
- 14:57Speaker 3: the year two THO. Nice, nice, love it, great work,
- 15:05Speaker 3: great work. Uh, And we had to bring a zaddi
- 15:09Speaker 3: of our own here back with us, a man who
- 15:12Speaker 3: maybe saw this with you in the theater.
- 15:15Speaker 2: We definitely have talked about this movie a lot. I
- 15:18Speaker 2: don't know if we saw it in the theater together
- 15:21Speaker 2: or not.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know that that's ever come up. It's
- 15:23Speaker 3: definitely come up when we've all been chatting before, for sure,
- 15:28Speaker 3: for sure. But he's a man that we all know
- 15:30Speaker 3: and we all love. Let's be sure. For Timmy Saints Summer.
- 15:35Speaker 2: What's up Timmy?
- 15:36Speaker 3: Hey, guys, Hi, buddy.

- 16:21Speaker 2: I don't know how you say.

- 16:26Speaker 2: It's I think it's polish holish. I believe it's polish.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Sounds like you're swearing, I mean polish.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Then there you go, And that's a artful restaurant.
- 16:35Speaker 2: They're delish, I get every time.
- 16:38Speaker 4: The dogs should still be called dom dogs. I think
- 16:40Speaker 4: they're Swiggerts technically, but oh calm doom dogs.
- 16:44Speaker 2: No, isn't it?
- 16:45Speaker 1: No?
- 16:45Speaker 2: They have a thing with Sheboygan. It's yeah, shut boyish.
- 16:52Speaker 4: Summer sausage.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Oh yeah. I like Schweigerts, though, I think.
- 16:58Speaker 4: Makes summer sausage. They do all sorts of press meets
- 17:00Speaker 4: over there.
- 17:01Speaker 2: They're great. This episode sponsored by shup bike God. I wish,
- 17:06Speaker 2: wouldn't that be fun?
- 17:07Speaker 3: I love a cured link to meet anytime anybody wants
- 17:11Speaker 3: to get me to, you know, preaching free.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Publicity to them. Let me know, yes, plug, advertise, boom,
- 17:20Speaker 2: they're not gonna call. So happy you're here, buddy.
- 17:24Speaker 3: We're here to talk about a movie called Frequency from the.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Year two thousand, year two thous time.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Fantastic h Should we just get started? Should get into it?
- 17:36Speaker 3: What do we think? I think? So, let's do it, Rob,
- 17:39Speaker 3: Will you get a started with a rough SYNOPSI shoe?
- 17:44Speaker 2: What if you had the chance to travel back in
- 17:47Speaker 2: time and change just one event in your life? What
- 17:51Speaker 2: would it be? For John Sullivan? There is no question
- 17:55Speaker 2: he would undo the events of October twelfth, nineteen sixty nine,
- 17:59Speaker 2: when the out of control Bruxton fire took the life
- 18:02Speaker 2: of his father, heroic firefighter. Now John make it exactly
- 18:08Speaker 2: what he wished for, and much more than he bargained for.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Whoa dunt dundu?
- 18:18Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 18:19Speaker 3: Good read good read?
- 18:20Speaker 2: Thanks fun?
- 18:21Speaker 3: What would you guys change? I'm just kidding.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Oh so thanks, I can't.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Yeah, who knows. Let's go run tomatoes and read what
- 18:33Speaker 3: they have to say. Critics had this coming in at
- 18:34Speaker 3: a rock solid seventy percent.
- 18:36Speaker 2: That's not bad C minus not terrible. I love to
- 18:40Speaker 2: getting C minuses. I'm all about it.
- 18:44Speaker 3: No, not this guy. That was a bad day.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Audience members, though, had it up at eighty one percent. Guys, boom,
- 18:53Speaker 2: that's pretty fresh.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Yeah he he want's good?
- 18:56Speaker 2: Right, it's I.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Think that is that. I not that I like it.
- 19:01Speaker 4: I don't want to like step on my own toes
- 19:03Speaker 4: coming out.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I don't step on your toes.
- 19:05Speaker 3: I just didn't think anyone talked about this a lot,
- 19:07Speaker 3: so that seems pretty high to me.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Right.
- 19:09Speaker 4: It felt like a really low key under the radar movie.
- 19:11Speaker 4: I feel like, Rob, you told me about it, Yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 4: and I had completely missed all the theatrics around it
- 19:17Speaker 4: and to watch frequency.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Yep, yep, I get that.
- 19:22Speaker 4: Rob.
- 19:22Speaker 3: You should get like a producer credit for this, because
- 19:24Speaker 3: you are one of the few people that I've heard
- 19:26Speaker 3: talked about.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Our buddy Nate Stone also adores this.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Yeah we have ye, let's come up with him too
- 19:33Speaker 3: before for sure. Nice. Well, let's find out what we think.
- 19:37Speaker 3: It's time to get into our hot take.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Take.
- 19:41Speaker 3: That's a hot take.
- 19:43Speaker 2: That's a hot take.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Fire.
- 19:46Speaker 2: There's a there's a fire, there's actual fire in the firefighter. Yeah,
- 19:53Speaker 2: the other way.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Go the other way. Yeah, don't go towards the way
- 19:57Speaker 3: that looks like there's no fire. Turns out that's wrong.
- 20:00Speaker 2: The other way, and you'll make it tricksy.
- 20:05Speaker 3: I'll go first on this one. This is the first
- 20:07Speaker 3: time I've ever seen this film.
- 20:09Speaker 4: For you, every movie I do with you, you've never
- 20:12Speaker 4: seen every good movie.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Every sing, what's another one?
- 20:16Speaker 4: Kiss Kiss bing Bang? You hadn't seen but that one.
- 20:19Speaker 2: We are supposed to do an episode on that.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Sometimes that is my name on the list.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll be calling you for that one.
- 20:25Speaker 3: But there's a number of other ones from your guys.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Is like hated that I just missed for some reason.
- 20:31Speaker 3: It's like our our small age difference that like kicks
- 20:35Speaker 3: up in there for some reason. I don't know small
- 20:39Speaker 3: age difference. And I didn't have a movie theater in town,
- 20:41Speaker 3: so like before I could drive maybe or something.
- 20:45Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Very strange, but there are a few of those I
- 20:49Speaker 3: hadn't seen this. This is a really fun idea for
- 20:52Speaker 3: a movie. It's a pretty compelling plot line, super interesting.
- 20:57Speaker 3: I love like a time travels slash, you know, mystery
- 21:01Speaker 3: thriller situation that's happening in it. I also love that
- 21:04Speaker 3: we sort of we get the idea that it's going
- 21:07Speaker 3: to be one thing, and then about halfway through it's
- 21:10Speaker 3: not right. We think it's just about saving his dad,
- 21:13Speaker 3: and then it's like, oh, there's more to it than that,
- 21:16Speaker 3: which was so cool. Yeah, I really liked that, and
- 21:19Speaker 3: I wasn't expecting it, you know, even with fresh eyes
- 21:23Speaker 3: all these years later. I just think it's really interesting.
- 21:26Speaker 3: I thought it was pretty well acted. I bought into
- 21:30Speaker 3: most of it. You know, there's not there's not too
- 21:32Speaker 3: much like handwavy, like it's fine, don't worry about it,
- 21:36Speaker 3: you know, situation. I thought it was really compelling that
- 21:40Speaker 3: they when the past changed, caviasl could remember both. I
- 21:45Speaker 3: thought that was sort of a way of having that
- 21:49Speaker 3: because I don't know that it makes a lot of
- 21:51Speaker 3: sense otherwise, you know, if you can't sort of remember
- 21:54Speaker 3: what it was to so I liked that. I thought
- 21:57Speaker 3: that was cool. I feel like they kind of udge
- 22:00Speaker 3: the rules on when he remembers them or how he
- 22:04Speaker 3: remembers them as things go on. But that's fine too.
- 22:07Speaker 3: I mean, I get it, you gotta kind of fudge
- 22:09Speaker 3: the rules. But I really enjoyed it. I thought it
- 22:11Speaker 3: was a good time. I think it's a really fun
- 22:13Speaker 3: thriller movie. I don't have like a lot of hot
- 22:17Speaker 3: takes other than thank god that building had a slide
- 22:20Speaker 3: in it or him and that lady would have been
- 22:22Speaker 3: dead if it didn't have a slide they were in.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a very conveniently placed slide.
- 22:30Speaker 3: So what were those ladies doing in this abandoned building?
- 22:33Speaker 3: But then they were like runaways or whatever.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Yeah, they called him squatters.
- 22:40Speaker 3: She was like a druggy that was passed out or something.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Last judgment. We don't know. She could have just been paid, well, she.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Could when she went into the water. In fact, her
- 22:52Speaker 3: legs were kicking as she was falling. Very convenient slide
- 22:56Speaker 3: that went out into the water.
- 22:57Speaker 2: That was a great slide.
- 22:58Speaker 3: It's probably just like a cool slide. This is probably
- 23:00Speaker 3: a realistic thing. But that's my and those driver's license
- 23:05Speaker 3: good lord, they were just writing on a piece of paper.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Remember when he took out the very driver lacenses. Yeah,
- 23:12Speaker 3: the driver's licenses that they took from their wallets.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Yes, right, yeah in six was.
- 23:17Speaker 3: It sixty nine?
- 23:18Speaker 4: Six sixty Driver's license technology has advanced greatly in thirty years,
- 23:23Speaker 4: although social Security card information technology has not changed at all.
- 23:27Speaker 3: That is the same.
- 23:29Speaker 4: It was just like social Security cards.
- 23:31Speaker 3: That is interesting right there, driver's license. I was like, Wow,
- 23:34Speaker 3: we really have come a long way.
- 23:36Speaker 2: That was like I just had to get one of
- 23:38Speaker 2: those real IDs. That was a pain in the butt.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that's I didn't realize it was a driver's
- 23:43Speaker 4: license on my second watch. When I hear that him
- 23:45Speaker 4: actually say your driver's license was under the body, I'm like, oh,
- 23:48Speaker 4: that's what that was.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Yeah, Like when you see his paper, that was like.
- 23:51Speaker 4: His car registration and that was like these for some
- 23:55Speaker 4: stupid reason.
- 23:57Speaker 3: So anyway, I obviously took only the important parts from this.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Hot Takes, Hot Take Buddy, Hot love it So yeah.
- 24:06Speaker 2: I loved this movie when it came out. I adored it.
- 24:09Speaker 2: I watched a bunch loved it. It's written by Toby Emrick,
- 24:14Speaker 2: who's only written this in another movie, but he's brothers
- 24:18Speaker 2: with Noah Emrick, who played Gordo in this movie. Oh
- 24:24Speaker 2: and he also now serves as the chairman of Warner
- 24:28Speaker 2: Brothers Pictures. So a pretty big deal in the movie world.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Turns out it's directed by Gregory Hoblitt. He directed a
- 24:38Speaker 2: lot of television and then his first studio movie was
- 24:41Speaker 2: Primal Fear, then the movie Fallen, which I absolutely loved,
- 24:46Speaker 2: which a lot of people haven't seen, and then this one.
- 24:49Speaker 2: So a pretty great little three movie run there for
- 24:52Speaker 2: Gregory either.
- 24:58Speaker 3: So pretty sure I'm gonna.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Look at I love all three of those movies. But yeah,
- 25:03Speaker 2: I thought the cast in this was really good. I
- 25:06Speaker 2: had seen this so many times and never realized that
- 25:10Speaker 2: ten year old Gordy was a redheaded Michael Sarah. That
- 25:13Speaker 2: blew my mind.
- 25:15Speaker 3: That was crazy.
- 25:16Speaker 4: It was that's Michael Sira.
- 25:19Speaker 6: Just a oh, yes, you're right, correct, correct, it's your
- 25:26Speaker 6: adult Gordy's kid out correct right now?
- 25:29Speaker 2: Yeah, you're you're thank you, thank you for that, because.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Rob, you were like, there is one cameo on this
- 25:35Speaker 3: that I couldn't believe. So at first I was like,
- 25:38Speaker 3: is it one of these kids because I don't recognize
- 25:41Speaker 3: And I was like, nah, he made it seem like
- 25:43Speaker 3: it was a big deal. I feel like I'll know
- 25:44Speaker 3: and I was.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Like, oh my god, I couldn't believe it.
- 25:47Speaker 3: It shocked me pretty well.
- 25:48Speaker 2: And I never realized that the mom was played by
- 25:51Speaker 2: Juliet from Lost, so that that blew my mind too.
- 25:55Speaker 3: She's so pretty.
- 25:56Speaker 2: I'm usually really good with like faces, but I never
- 25:59Speaker 2: put that to other when I watched Lost that later.
- 26:03Speaker 3: I suppose Yeah, I don't know if that was right.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Anyway, I figured that this movie probably bugs like science
- 26:11Speaker 2: nerds and like time traveling nerds because it doesn't make
- 26:14Speaker 2: a ton of sense, but that rarely matters to me.
- 26:17Speaker 2: If they give me enough of an explanation of why
- 26:20Speaker 2: it works, I'm usually cool with it. Yeah, whenever the
- 26:27Speaker 2: Northern Lights would pop up in conversation, I think of
- 26:29Speaker 2: this movie. Sure it. It made me want to go
- 26:34Speaker 2: on Timmy's Brothers Cbe Radio Danny and try and talk
- 26:39Speaker 2: to myself in the future. Dude, I was always balking
- 26:43Speaker 2: to try and get on that thing. I thought it
- 26:45Speaker 2: was the coolest.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Have a license kid, Yeah, yeah, that's awesome.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Yeah, But I love a father and son's story, and
- 26:56Speaker 2: this is a pretty fun one. I had a super
- 27:00Speaker 2: great time rewatching this movie. It brought me back. I'm
- 27:03Speaker 2: really glad we're talking about it.
- 27:05Speaker 7: Uh.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Some hot takes. Hot take, the worst part of this
- 27:08Speaker 2: movie is the aging makeup. They all look pretty bad.
- 27:11Speaker 3: When that's not great. It's not great.
- 27:14Speaker 2: It's not great.
- 27:17Speaker 4: No, it's not there one exception, but we'll get there.
- 27:19Speaker 4: But it's Brian Lar is terrible.
- 27:22Speaker 2: It's not great. And another hot take, he calls his
- 27:25Speaker 2: wife Bud. It's super weird. I never was okay with that,
- 27:31Speaker 2: but IM just like, did he say bud earlier? Yeah,
- 27:34Speaker 2: he's saying Bud, but he called her bug at.
- 27:37Speaker 3: First and that was confusing.
- 27:38Speaker 2: But yeah, bug is more of a term of endearment
- 27:42Speaker 2: that I can understand. Bud is for your your buddy,
- 27:45Speaker 2: your bros. Unless it's your Rosebud, I guess, but it's
- 27:49Speaker 2: just I don't I don't know.
- 27:51Speaker 3: But that's not a bedroom, you know.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Hello. But yeah, I love this movie. That's my that's
- 27:58Speaker 2: my take.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Nice. Can I interject with something no one cares about?
- 28:01Speaker 3: I've definitely seen Fear. I just watched it pretty recently,
- 28:05Speaker 3: So sorry about that.
- 28:07Speaker 4: That's the Norton one right breakout. Yeah, was the most
- 28:12Speaker 4: coveted role here at some.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Point this within the last two years for sure, So sorry.
- 28:18Speaker 3: I just forgot. I just didn't remember the name of that.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Do you forget about that movie?
- 28:23Speaker 3: Once I looked at it, I was like, oh, I've
- 28:25Speaker 3: definitely seen this.
- 28:26Speaker 2: And Gregory Hobblett directed it.
- 28:28Speaker 3: I didn't remember that. I'm going to be a lot
- 28:31Speaker 3: sorry Greg, Greg.
- 28:37Speaker 4: Damon and Ben after talk about that role. Everyone everyone
- 28:41Speaker 4: is and that age group was going for that. Ed Norton.
- 28:44Speaker 3: It was such a good role, and I think that's
- 28:47Speaker 3: why I watched it because it kept coming up in here,
- 28:49Speaker 3: so it did any whose sorry Timmy, what's your hot egg?
- 28:54Speaker 8: You guys always do this.
- 28:56Speaker 4: You kind of just hit all my key talking points.
- 28:58Speaker 4: But the first thing I wrote is I had a
- 28:59Speaker 4: lot of fun with this movie It's on, which for
- 29:02Speaker 4: a drama that's largely about a serial killer, is kind
- 29:05Speaker 4: of something to say that, Like fun is one of
- 29:07Speaker 4: the first things you think, but it's it's fun. It's
- 29:09Speaker 4: a funny, and you you you nailed the point, Like
- 29:12Speaker 4: you get two climaxes. You get the son Saving his
- 29:16Speaker 4: Father movie and then the climax with the Bruxton fire,
- 29:18Speaker 4: and it feels like that's the movie and that's really
- 29:20Speaker 4: just setting up how the story is going to be
- 29:22Speaker 4: told this crazy serial killer adventure that veers off into nowhere.
- 29:27Speaker 4: So it's it's it's great that you get to see
- 29:29Speaker 4: him save his dad and then convince his dad to
- 29:31Speaker 4: go be a serial killer hunter, which is batty, but
- 29:36Speaker 4: it works. It's easy to get invested obviously. You know
- 29:39Speaker 4: father son movies, any father son narrative, whether it's a
- 29:42Speaker 4: you know, a loving relationship or a complex relationship.
- 29:44Speaker 8: Which is really easy to ground myself in those. I
- 29:47Speaker 8: love those.
- 29:48Speaker 4: And then time travel is a plot device. I'm always
- 29:50Speaker 4: a sucker for it, and I'm the same way. There's
- 29:52Speaker 4: a lot of things that don't make any sense at
- 29:54Speaker 4: all in this movie, but it's it's close enough.
- 29:57Speaker 2: That's like, yeah, why why can't he remember both timelines?
- 30:01Speaker 2: But like everybody else can't.
- 30:04Speaker 8: That's weird.
- 30:04Speaker 2: They don't really get into that.
- 30:06Speaker 8: But I don't.
- 30:07Speaker 2: I don't care. I don't care at all.
- 30:09Speaker 3: As like his dad wouldn't be Like, I should probably
- 30:12Speaker 3: tell my best friend about this so that in case
- 30:14Speaker 3: my kid ever gets in trouble he can.
- 30:16Speaker 4: Well, yeah, some hot takes I have so one. How
- 30:19Speaker 4: did the Sun or anyone else know that if Frank
- 30:22Speaker 4: would have gone the different way in the building that
- 30:24Speaker 4: Frank was the only person that died, that he would
- 30:27Speaker 4: have lived. Like, it's a weird piece of information to know, Like, oh, Dad,
- 30:31Speaker 4: if you would have turned to left in that fire,
- 30:33Speaker 4: even though I don't know where you were in the
- 30:34Speaker 4: building when you burned to death, you would have survived.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe they maybe.
- 30:41Speaker 4: I don't like it. It was my biggest one though,
- 30:43Speaker 4: The biggest hot take that drove is if you're a
- 30:46Speaker 4: sports fan. So I'm Dad, I'm Frank and my son
- 30:51Speaker 4: and knows what happens in the World series and I'm
- 30:53Speaker 4: so excited about it. Don't spoil the whole episode. I
- 30:57Speaker 4: don't want to hear what happened.
- 30:58Speaker 3: I thought the same thing that he tells them.
- 31:00Speaker 4: What happens game by game, which becomes important later in
- 31:02Speaker 4: the movie. But there's no way you let him do that.
- 31:04Speaker 4: It's like, let me watch the No, no, no, don't
- 31:06Speaker 4: tell me this.
- 31:07Speaker 2: No. I don't want to know.
- 31:09Speaker 3: I don't want to know. You would want to know?
- 31:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah, so you could watch stress Free if especially,
- 31:17Speaker 2: I would be like, Okay, tell me all about it.
- 31:19Speaker 2: I want to see, and then I would make so
- 31:22Speaker 2: much money betting on it. Well, there is that everything
- 31:25Speaker 2: with you back to the future to it big time.
- 31:28Speaker 4: You gotta be careful though, ruined time travel movies. I
- 31:31Speaker 4: just try to monetize everything.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Yeah, but as we learned time machine that can go
- 31:36Speaker 3: against you, so don't plan.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Don't offer, will not do that hot top time machine too,
- 31:42Speaker 4: to be fair, great.
- 31:46Speaker 3: One right, No, no, no, he was scene with.
- 31:52Speaker 2: We just watched it.
- 31:53Speaker 3: What's CD kid name rough Machio, No the bad guy?
- 31:58Speaker 3: Oh no, Zabka zaka will kid Right, yeah, I mean
- 32:05Speaker 3: you got in other things, I guess, but yeah, yeah,
- 32:08Speaker 3: funny anywhove the movie.
- 32:12Speaker 4: One more hot take is things dropped very slowly too
- 32:17Speaker 4: frequently in this movie.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Yeah. I didn't like that plot device very much. Stop
- 32:22Speaker 3: and it was.
- 32:25Speaker 4: They initially did it took because like the first one
- 32:27Speaker 4: worked really well with the helmet drop, even though you
- 32:30Speaker 4: dropped the glass room like six inches above the table
- 32:33Speaker 4: and at somehow a million pieces with the shortest drop ever,
- 32:38Speaker 4: which took the same amount of time as a helmet
- 32:40Speaker 4: being tossed out of a third story window. That's neither
- 32:43Speaker 4: r there though, that would have worked well because that
- 32:46Speaker 4: that was like the memories merging and being created.
- 32:49Speaker 3: I thought it was really effective.
- 32:50Speaker 4: To show the memories being formed in his head to
- 32:53Speaker 4: the first drap, but then they.
- 32:55Speaker 8: Kept going back to it.
- 32:56Speaker 4: Anytime someone dropped something, even if no new memories. It
- 32:59Speaker 4: was just like, let's do that.
- 33:00Speaker 2: And so like I dropped my shirt and later we
- 33:04Speaker 2: were look cool, You're like, we paid for this low
- 33:08Speaker 2: motion camera.
- 33:09Speaker 3: We're using it, damn it.
- 33:12Speaker 4: Besides that love movie, super fun.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Those are fun hot takes. I like those hot takes.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I like that. That's great. Should we go forward
- 33:20Speaker 3: and talk about our favorite acting performance.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Show we name the dude the dude.
- 33:25Speaker 3: I'm the dude.
- 33:26Speaker 9: So that's what you call me, you know that, or
- 33:30Speaker 9: his dude or duder or you know el dude, a
- 33:34Speaker 9: reno if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
- 33:36Speaker 3: I can't say performance apparently, I think that's a performance.
- 33:41Speaker 2: It's like, I'll just it. I saw you and it
- 33:44Speaker 2: was definitely performance performance.
- 33:46Speaker 3: That's talking about our favorite acting performance.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Let's name the dude the dude.
- 33:52Speaker 3: I don't know why I did that. I'm not I'm
- 33:53Speaker 3: just gonna keep it in.
- 33:54Speaker 2: You're going to keep it, Yeah, Timmy, what is who
- 33:56Speaker 2: is your favorite actor in this?
- 33:59Speaker 9: Uh?
- 34:00Speaker 4: So, this one's interesting because when the movie started, which
- 34:03Speaker 4: I watched this when I was younger and loved the movie,
- 34:06Speaker 4: and I remember he loved in the movie. And when
- 34:08Speaker 4: I rewatched it, the first ten minutes, I'm like, holy God,
- 34:11Speaker 4: this is awful. He's terrible. But then you realize he's
- 34:15Speaker 4: just really acting as a stale wooden character in the
- 34:19Speaker 4: beginning because he's heartless and soul. It's Jim Cavizel. He's
- 34:22Speaker 4: he's so good in this, Caviself. I even asked before
- 34:28Speaker 4: Jim cavisl he's so good in this. And he does
- 34:31Speaker 4: start out really would in like where he's lifeless, and
- 34:34Speaker 4: it's like going through the motions, the whole initial fight
- 34:37Speaker 4: scene with his girlfriend's it's awful, Like the acting feels awful,
- 34:41Speaker 4: but I think he's just acting completely, you know, devoid
- 34:44Speaker 4: of emotion because he has nothing and no one to love.
- 34:48Speaker 4: But when it gets to you know, him talking with
- 34:51Speaker 4: his dad and like emoting just when you're in a
- 34:54Speaker 4: room alone with the radio, and like the way his
- 34:56Speaker 4: eyes water up and the way it's shot, it captures
- 34:59Speaker 4: him so beautiful. He's awesome in this movie.
- 35:03Speaker 2: And that was great, dude.
- 35:04Speaker 8: He's the heart of the movie.
- 35:06Speaker 2: I liked him a lot, but there's one cringey scene
- 35:10Speaker 2: for me, and it's when he is questioning the guy
- 35:15Speaker 2: that is not the killer and he's like, you see
- 35:19Speaker 2: this woman whatever? He just like, well, she sure makes
- 35:23Speaker 2: something to me, and he like screams real weird and
- 35:27Speaker 2: then looks out to see Andre Brower like did you
- 35:30Speaker 2: see what I did?
- 35:31Speaker 8: It was sweet.
- 35:33Speaker 2: I did not like that line at all. It bummed
- 35:36Speaker 2: me out, but that was the only time he took
- 35:38Speaker 2: me out, and for that reason I picked Dennis Quaid
- 35:43Speaker 2: as my dude. I was kind of surprised he was
- 35:48Speaker 2: able to pull off a New York accent. I usually
- 35:52Speaker 2: picture him as more of a Southern cowboy type, but
- 35:56Speaker 2: I thought he was. He was somewhat believable as a
- 35:59Speaker 2: New York firefighter, much more than I was expecting. And
- 36:05Speaker 2: I was really looking for it on this rewatch, and
- 36:08Speaker 2: I was I was. I was surprised and pleased.
- 36:13Speaker 3: There's definitely some heavy accent work done by a few
- 36:16Speaker 3: people in this movie.
- 36:17Speaker 8: Yeah, the two leads for sure, I think do really well.
- 36:20Speaker 4: Though.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not.
- 36:22Speaker 8: A great at accent critiquing because it's.
- 36:25Speaker 2: More yeah, like just stick with it, right, like it's fine.
- 36:31Speaker 3: It doesn't have to be picture perfect or just.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Be consistent with it and then it's cool you can't.
- 36:37Speaker 2: The worst is like Kevin Costner and Robinhood Prince of Thieves,
- 36:41Speaker 2: and he has like one scene where he's like government
- 36:44Speaker 2: and he loses it.
- 36:45Speaker 3: It's just like, we're not doing that.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Yeah, It's like, I'm not going to do that anymore.
- 36:49Speaker 3: I'm out on that. Yeah, but anyway, I love it.
- 36:55Speaker 3: I think I'm going Jim cavizl on this one. I
- 36:58Speaker 3: think he is a pretty great actor all around. I
- 37:01Speaker 3: agree to me, Like at first I was like, I
- 37:04Speaker 3: don't know, and then yeah, he.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Really does pull it off for me, I think, and
- 37:10Speaker 2: I think it just in general. I like his acting
- 37:12Speaker 2: in a number of different films a lot. Did you
- 37:15Speaker 2: watch Person of Interest? I was super into that show,
- 37:18Speaker 2: now you.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Know, I watched a few of them, Win Post because
- 37:21Speaker 3: Post was super into it.
- 37:22Speaker 2: He was the one who got me into Yeah.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Yeah, so I definitely have seen that and he was
- 37:25Speaker 3: really good in it, but I wasn't there for the
- 37:27Speaker 3: whole ride or anything. I really loved and do love
- 37:31Speaker 3: the Count of Money Cristo, so he was a baby.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Oh yeah, He's a big part of that for me,
- 37:36Speaker 3: and I just think he's a pretty tremendous actor all around.
- 37:39Speaker 3: But yeah, I think he he did a good job
- 37:41Speaker 3: being emotionally scarred and then open later and you know
- 37:45Speaker 3: that scene where he goes and talks to the girlfriend
- 37:48Speaker 3: but she doesn't know who he is is kind of fun.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Like he's good in that, right. I think he does
- 37:53Speaker 3: a good job. I don't know that he always acts
- 37:55Speaker 3: like how I would act if I was in that situation.
- 37:59Speaker 4: But oh, you wouldn't know how you would act if
- 38:02Speaker 4: you talk to your dad on the CV radio thirty
- 38:04Speaker 4: Years in the future, which, yeah, I was gonna do
- 38:07Speaker 4: a whole thirty year in the Future podcast fit. I
- 38:09Speaker 4: completely forgot until just now it was gonna look like,
- 38:12Speaker 4: let's like I was gonna give you guys advice about like, oh,
- 38:16Speaker 4: you guys should switch off movies get into politics.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:19Speaker 4: Sure, because Donald Trump Junior's fifth term as president right now,
- 38:24Speaker 4: we're going hard right in twenty fifty five, and and
- 38:28Speaker 4: people talk about him on the radio.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Sorry, sorry, you think we're still gonna be doing this
- 38:34Speaker 3: in thirty years? Prob what you're seeing today?
- 38:39Speaker 8: I couldn't go I.
- 38:41Speaker 3: Couldn't find my teeth if I can't have my teeth,
- 38:44Speaker 3: I don't want to go to the movies.
- 38:45Speaker 2: No, no popcorn.
- 38:46Speaker 4: Then I haven't seen that movie because we just watched
- 38:49Speaker 4: it yesterday.
- 38:49Speaker 3: Oh no, that's right, boy, that could be today.
- 38:53Speaker 2: I've never seen it, and I don't know what primal is.
- 38:57Speaker 2: I never saw it. I have a recording of you
- 39:00Speaker 2: saying you saw it.
- 39:01Speaker 3: I didn't see. Also, I'm a Jewish man.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Why are we doing some things? Eddie Murphy, old Jewish man.
- 39:15Speaker 3: I have a special kind of dementia and it's coming
- 39:17Speaker 3: to America. Dementia.
- 39:24Speaker 4: A person of interest is another fun lost connection from
- 39:27Speaker 4: the movie.
- 39:28Speaker 2: Right, Oh yeah, what is that actor's name, dude, but
- 39:35Speaker 2: I don't know's Yeah, I don't know his name. Yeah,
- 39:39Speaker 2: but he was great in that show.
- 39:40Speaker 3: He's creepy as hell.
- 39:42Speaker 2: That was a cool show.
- 39:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I like that was a neat show. I don't
- 39:45Speaker 3: remember what the like, what was the shtick? It was
- 39:48Speaker 3: like a computer telling them or something.
- 39:50Speaker 4: Lionis was like a computer guy who could like see
- 39:53Speaker 4: the future and kind of like this movie actually where
- 39:56Speaker 4: like Lionis could see the future and he needed a
- 39:58Speaker 4: detective on the ground that could Actually it's done.
- 40:01Speaker 3: Was it like an algorithm thing though, what was happening?
- 40:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's exactly what it was. Like it pumped
- 40:07Speaker 2: out a number every.
- 40:08Speaker 3: Day, that's right. Yeah, Yeah, that was cool.
- 40:12Speaker 2: And then they had this overall big, crazy like conspiracy
- 40:16Speaker 2: fun thing that ended up being like the last two seasons,
- 40:20Speaker 2: it was like all just dealing.
- 40:21Speaker 3: With that nice.
- 40:22Speaker 2: It was nuts, dude. That was Benny Ellenge and Taylor
- 40:26Speaker 2: A's have been on that shown, right, cap driver No,
- 40:31Speaker 2: I think he was a cop. He was a cab
- 40:34Speaker 2: driver and something else. But anyway, I feel.
- 40:38Speaker 4: Like a lot of two thousands dramas did that like
- 40:40Speaker 4: procedurals on the surface, and then they devolved into like
- 40:44Speaker 4: these mass conspiracy things like that was kind of the time.
- 40:47Speaker 4: I feel like the Jennifer Garner one alias loved that
- 40:50Speaker 4: show and it would have worked just as a procedural
- 40:52Speaker 4: with like the double agent thing, and then it became
- 40:56Speaker 4: way more than that.
- 40:58Speaker 9: Right.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Yeah, because I like Chuck kind of did that too,
- 41:02Speaker 3: you know.
- 41:02Speaker 8: Yeah, you guys are both.
- 41:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I love that show.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Zachary Leviy doing great things.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Yeah. Another let's let's go to talk about some of
- 41:18Speaker 2: these uh supporting roles, and let's choose the Tocci Tochi.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Got for this one.
- 41:28Speaker 4: So I initially wrote Dennis Quaid and I will say
- 41:32Speaker 4: believable is one of the things I wrote, like from
- 41:35Speaker 4: you know, singing Elvis in the kitchen, just being like
- 41:37Speaker 4: that kind of very charismatic hero, but then also believable
- 41:42Speaker 4: that he'd like by like, Okay, I have to go
- 41:44Speaker 4: stop a see serial killer. Like that's a leap of
- 41:47Speaker 4: faith for your son from the future to be on
- 41:49Speaker 4: the radio and say like, hey, Dad, go to this
- 41:52Speaker 4: place because there's a killer there and I want you
- 41:53Speaker 4: to stop him. And you know, he kind of showed
- 41:56Speaker 4: even in the opening scene of the movie showed that
- 41:57Speaker 4: he's that kind of guy that like, even if it's
- 41:59Speaker 4: a no some no win situation that you can I'm
- 42:04Speaker 4: going to jump into it. But on my second watch
- 42:08Speaker 4: all that said, I change it to Andre.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Bar Yeah, yeah, I can't so much.
- 42:18Speaker 3: So much too, You're safe.
- 42:20Speaker 4: He carried you know, he's in both timelines, which is
- 42:25Speaker 4: important to this movie, and a true supporting actor in
- 42:28Speaker 4: both timelines, so I wanted to give some points to that.
- 42:31Speaker 4: And he's just so good. Some of the most enjoyable
- 42:33Speaker 4: parts of this movie or sceince he's in he has
- 42:37Speaker 4: a couple of really well delivered lines and then just
- 42:40Speaker 4: being someone who you know consumed his work prior to
- 42:44Speaker 4: Brooklyn nine nine and then during Brooklyn nine nine, revisiting
- 42:48Speaker 4: after and like, oh my god, Captain Holt is he
- 42:51Speaker 4: has a personality. It's pretty fun to revisit him because
- 42:55Speaker 4: he's so iconic as Holt and so dry.
- 43:00Speaker 8: So he's my guy.
- 43:03Speaker 2: I loved same. He was also my guy. I also
- 43:07Speaker 2: enjoyed seeing him and how when the past would like change, uh,
- 43:13Speaker 2: his demeanor with John would change, and you could tell
- 43:16Speaker 2: like he was probably like way more of a drunk
- 43:21Speaker 2: or just like not reliable, kind of you know, really
- 43:26Speaker 2: down dude. So he was like, hey, you can you know,
- 43:30Speaker 2: respect the job pretty.
- 43:31Speaker 3: Much, and he was like kind of him in that
- 43:33Speaker 3: one time, which.
- 43:35Speaker 2: I was like, oh this is cool. But then yeah,
- 43:37Speaker 2: that scene where they are specifically he's with the wife
- 43:43Speaker 2: or mom Julius, yes, when they were watching the game
- 43:51Speaker 2: and just seeing him react to the game like this
- 43:54Speaker 2: is really happening. He was, He's so good. He just
- 43:58Speaker 2: loved it.
- 43:58Speaker 4: That seems so funny, Like I don't know if we
- 44:01Speaker 4: can save it for seeing that scene kills me because
- 44:04Speaker 4: he I'll just do it now. He tells us what
- 44:06Speaker 4: he tells the wife, like your husband is involved in
- 44:09Speaker 4: this murder, and she's like absorbing that, and then she's like,
- 44:12Speaker 4: this can't be real. But you see his eyes on
- 44:14Speaker 4: the TV like a plastic husband like, and he's watching
- 44:20Speaker 4: the ball game. And then when the guy hits the
- 44:22Speaker 4: home Runny turns around and is that just big goofy
- 44:24Speaker 4: green on his face?
- 44:25Speaker 8: Oh, it's so good.
- 44:26Speaker 2: She's like, I mean, it's like he's a random game
- 44:30Speaker 2: on previously. Yeah, this person just told him all of
- 44:35Speaker 2: what was going.
- 44:36Speaker 4: To happen, but she doesn't know that. All she knows
- 44:38Speaker 4: is that her cop best friend just told her that
- 44:41Speaker 4: her husband's accessory to murder, essentially, and when she's reacting
- 44:46Speaker 4: to it, he's distracted by the ballgame. It's so funny.
- 44:49Speaker 4: It's so good, and we're.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Like, Rob Kelsey killed the number of people. Hold on,
- 44:53Speaker 2: we're going to watch this fifth Wait his shoe? What's happening?
- 45:00Speaker 3: Yeah? That is great. I love that.
- 45:02Speaker 2: That is pretty great.
- 45:03Speaker 3: Nice. Uh noah, Amrik is great. Love him.
- 45:08Speaker 2: I love him.
- 45:09Speaker 3: That guy's a ton, but it's always really good. I
- 45:12Speaker 3: do like him a lot.
- 45:13Speaker 2: I really loved that His first line in the movie
- 45:17Speaker 2: is asking him if he wants a beer, which immediately
- 45:21Speaker 2: made me think of his character in The Truman Show,
- 45:25Speaker 2: when he just always is to ask, Hey, yeah, I
- 45:29Speaker 2: got a six pack of beers here, you want to
- 45:30Speaker 2: talk about it.
- 45:31Speaker 3: It's like this whole thing.
- 45:32Speaker 8: Yeah, that's great Truman Show.
- 45:34Speaker 4: I thought he was not good in this honestly, Like
- 45:38Speaker 4: he was almost two in that range of just completely
- 45:43Speaker 4: devoid of any depth best friend like like in the
- 45:46Speaker 4: Truman Show. That was the character, like he was supposed
- 45:48Speaker 4: to be like a very He's an ax story type
- 45:51Speaker 4: best friend, and it just felt like and maybe just
- 45:53Speaker 4: because I relate him to that role so much, but
- 45:57Speaker 4: I was a little bit. You know, in the last
- 45:59Speaker 4: scene he says, hey, better batter too many times. It's like, dude,
- 46:02Speaker 4: quit saying hey.
- 46:03Speaker 8: Better better a different baseball term.
- 46:07Speaker 3: He's rich at that point.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Yahoo money, That's that's so funny.
- 46:12Speaker 4: That is a funny like the hot tech stuck that
- 46:15Speaker 4: we all missed. Yeah, yeah, we all we all dropped
- 46:20Speaker 4: the ball.
- 46:20Speaker 3: Yeah we missed it, damn it.
- 46:23Speaker 2: Hopefully he said good money.
- 46:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I hope he sold right. I love that,
- 46:30Speaker 3: so love him and then Melissa Fitzgerald is Gordo's wife,
- 46:35Speaker 3: but she is CJ's assistant in West Way. She's only
- 46:39Speaker 3: in it, like one scene.
- 46:40Speaker 2: In this I was gonna say, I don't even remember.
- 46:43Speaker 3: Yeah, she's a brunette in this and she's no Emrick's
- 46:46Speaker 3: wife when she comes in and says, I don't remember
- 46:49Speaker 3: what she says, just like.
- 46:50Speaker 4: She comes in make Siriaira for yeah, that's right, Sirah for.
- 46:55Speaker 2: You're having a hard time with it's it's Sarah.
- 47:02Speaker 3: But yeah, I just like her. I think she's fun.
- 47:04Speaker 3: I can't remember Carol I think is her name in west.
- 47:06Speaker 2: Wing, but Carol, Carol, you look.
- 47:09Speaker 8: Like a Carol Harry west Wing.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not a big part, but she is in
- 47:14Speaker 3: a lot of it, you know. She's just one of
- 47:16Speaker 3: those like I'm in a hundred episodes, but I don't
- 47:20Speaker 3: really ever do anything.
- 47:22Speaker 2: Another one of those actors from this is Maren Hinkle
- 47:25Speaker 2: as Sissy Clark, the woman who died. She's definitely rose
- 47:29Speaker 2: from the marveless miss I had. Yeah, Yeah, for sure,
- 47:33Speaker 2: that was fun too.
- 47:34Speaker 3: I loved that.
- 47:36Speaker 2: That was good.
- 47:36Speaker 3: She was so young, she was it.
- 47:40Speaker 4: Yeah, did you say her favorite bukes do we have
- 47:44Speaker 4: the the Bukes Tucci.
- 47:46Speaker 3: I would have been Andrea Barauer for sure.
- 47:48Speaker 2: Yeah, so, but I went with no Emrick.
- 47:52Speaker 3: You have to say someone miss which you hated.
- 47:55Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Elizabeth Mitchell is Julius Sullivan.
- 47:58Speaker 4: She was fine under accent, was a little heavier than
- 48:01Speaker 4: the other two and maybe.
- 48:02Speaker 8: Not as consistent, but good enough. It was brutal.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Yeah, he was the worst.
- 48:10Speaker 4: Yeah, well, the one that wasn't bad and the one
- 48:13Speaker 4: we haven't. The actor we haven't mentioned in this space
- 48:15Speaker 4: yet that I considered strongly as Sean Doyle, who played
- 48:18Speaker 4: Jack Killer.
- 48:20Speaker 8: His age makeup I thought was pretty effective.
- 48:23Speaker 3: Yeah, he was good.
- 48:24Speaker 4: It wasn't noticeably bad. I'll say that, maybe not effective,
- 48:27Speaker 4: but it wasn't like, oh my god, that's the worst
- 48:29Speaker 4: age makeup.
- 48:29Speaker 2: But I just didn't just didn't love the look of
- 48:31Speaker 2: any of All they did was just put like lots
- 48:33Speaker 2: of wrinkles up here and give them a little more
- 48:37Speaker 2: on every.
- 48:37Speaker 8: On everyone flower in the hair.
- 48:39Speaker 4: Yeah, but Sean Doyle was good, especially the young character
- 48:43Speaker 4: of him, Like he played that kind of smooth cop
- 48:45Speaker 4: that you totally buy as a killer but isn't obviously
- 48:48Speaker 4: a killer. Really well, and then his dad's character or
- 48:52Speaker 4: his character's dad, his dad's character. His character's dad is
- 48:56Speaker 4: Fred Shepherd played by Nesbit Blaisdell, which is just a
- 49:00Speaker 4: name to say.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Hell yeah.
- 49:04Speaker 4: It has a great line. You want coffee, cream, sugar,
- 49:07Speaker 4: whatever is good. You'll get black.
- 49:08Speaker 2: You'll get black and you'll like it.
- 49:11Speaker 4: You lot delivered as well.
- 49:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 49:16Speaker 2: Nice that all the people, everybody nice. Well then let's
- 49:21Speaker 2: let's pick our favorite scene, and let's choose the dingus.
- 49:25Speaker 4: The sod is quite simple, really, dingus, Ingus. I can
- 49:30Speaker 4: talk about my dingas all night long.
- 49:32Speaker 3: We got for.
- 49:36Speaker 4: You know, on first watch, I came away like there
- 49:38Speaker 4: was not a lot of scenes that really stand out,
- 49:40Speaker 4: But second watch, I got a laundry list.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Uh.
- 49:44Speaker 4: The best, though, by a country mile, is the scene
- 49:47Speaker 4: right after the Bruxton fire when he It starts with
- 49:50Speaker 4: him etching in the desk. I'm still here, yeah yeah,
- 49:53Speaker 4: and then it turns into like you know, them talking.
- 49:56Speaker 4: You get that really first scene that I was talking
- 49:59Speaker 4: about with Cavan Caveso Covisel crazy with Cavisel like his
- 50:05Speaker 4: eyes watering up. It's shot really well and they kind
- 50:08Speaker 4: of do his montage of just a father and son
- 50:10Speaker 4: catching up like what would you talk about with your
- 50:12Speaker 4: dad after thirty years?
- 50:13Speaker 8: And it hits.
- 50:14Speaker 4: Baseball and love and you know, all these little things.
- 50:18Speaker 4: That just a really sweet scene. And then it just
- 50:20Speaker 4: ends with I almost don't want to click off here.
- 50:24Speaker 4: Maybe won't get this back. We will, okay, I'll be
- 50:26Speaker 4: here tomorrow. I know. I love you, son, I love
- 50:28Speaker 4: you to that I missed you so much. And it's
- 50:30Speaker 4: just like, oh my god, wonderful. It's almost a perfect scene.
- 50:35Speaker 4: It's it's that like, great, great pick.
- 50:39Speaker 2: It's a great pick. Uh, And that is the one
- 50:42Speaker 2: I would have also picked. It's very wonderful. But another
- 50:49Speaker 2: one that I thought was great. I have three really
- 50:55Speaker 2: like they're really neck and neck. I love when he
- 50:57Speaker 2: confronts Jack Shepherd at the bar. Well, yeah, he tells
- 51:01Speaker 2: him he knows what he's done, and he doesn't like
- 51:05Speaker 2: he's not vague about it at all. He's like, I
- 51:08Speaker 2: got pictures, I know exactly what you've done. You know, like.
- 51:13Speaker 4: That is it starts a little vague and then he
- 51:16Speaker 4: kind of escalates to the point where it's like no,
- 51:18Speaker 4: he's laying it all out there.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Yes, And the acting from both of them were great.
- 51:24Speaker 3: Yeah. I did like that.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Yeah, so that that scene is really high up, and
- 51:28Speaker 2: I have another runner up, but I'll let Buke say
- 51:30Speaker 2: what his favorite scene is.
- 51:32Speaker 3: Sure, Uh, it's actually a clean sweep. I think for
- 51:35Speaker 3: the dingis because I wrote the I'm still here chief
- 51:38Speaker 3: scene too. I just love that and the montage and
- 51:41Speaker 3: all those things for all the reasons you said to me,
- 51:44Speaker 3: we're just really great. I felt like it was the
- 51:47Speaker 3: emotional core of this movie almost yeah, and sort of
- 51:51Speaker 3: the like kicked us into that second plot point that
- 51:55Speaker 3: we talked about, you know, like, oh, now there's something
- 51:58Speaker 3: else happening.
- 51:59Speaker 9: You know.
- 52:00Speaker 3: Liked that. I thought it was cool. But I really
- 52:03Speaker 3: liked the the fingerprints on the billfold scene where they're
- 52:07Speaker 3: like in real time we're talking about where to hide it,
- 52:11Speaker 3: you know, those things like that. I thought that was
- 52:14Speaker 3: really effective, and I like stuff like that a lot.
- 52:17Speaker 3: I just thought that was really neat and to help
- 52:19Speaker 3: them sort of talking in real time but also not obviously,
- 52:24Speaker 3: you know, was really cool. I just really liked that.
- 52:27Speaker 3: Licked the setup of that scene, I thought it was.
- 52:29Speaker 2: Neat well, And with that I love then the climax
- 52:33Speaker 2: of the movie where you have the radio is picking
- 52:38Speaker 2: up what's happening.
- 52:39Speaker 3: Yeah, that is cool.
- 52:40Speaker 2: And the fight they're both fighting the same guy at
- 52:44Speaker 2: the exact same time. You see you know, the shotgun
- 52:48Speaker 2: blow his hand off, and then present day guy like
- 52:51Speaker 2: sees it like wither away, He's like what was happening?
- 52:54Speaker 4: Which wasn't super effective, but it was cool. And that
- 52:56Speaker 4: scene how they were reacting to each other, like, yeah,
- 52:59Speaker 4: the killer in the I heard the Killer in the
- 53:03Speaker 4: future confronting Jim Cavezel and uh like hearing his own
- 53:11Speaker 4: voice that caused him to like look over for a second.
- 53:13Speaker 8: Gave the window to the wife to hit him on
- 53:16Speaker 8: the head.
- 53:17Speaker 3: Yeah, the whole.
- 53:18Speaker 4: Thing did not work for me at all, but that
- 53:20Speaker 4: scene was entertaining from just a pay after the movie
- 53:24Speaker 4: perspective and then having the end with with the dad there.
- 53:29Speaker 3: Yeah, that loved that. That was definitely the best part
- 53:31Speaker 3: for sure. I did like that. That's a super good go.
- 53:35Speaker 4: Yeah. I agree with Rob like that. The bar scene
- 53:37Speaker 4: was a close second for me. Like it you see
- 53:40Speaker 4: where you have the good guy and the bad guy
- 53:41Speaker 4: and they both know the other one knows. It's always
- 53:45Speaker 4: gonna reminds me of heat, like you know, theo sitting
- 53:49Speaker 4: across for each other and they're just laying it out there.
- 53:52Speaker 4: I mean, it makes me think this movie could have
- 53:54Speaker 4: worked without if it was just that kind of stuff,
- 53:56Speaker 4: Like this movie works with ut but you don't need
- 53:58Speaker 4: the time travel device necessarily.
- 54:00Speaker 8: Sure, if you would have had more of that, Yeah, because.
- 54:03Speaker 3: It could have almost worked if it was like a
- 54:05Speaker 3: diary or something. I mean, it would have to be different,
- 54:08Speaker 3: but the solving the crime part could have almost worked,
- 54:11Speaker 3: you know. Yeah.
- 54:12Speaker 4: I mean that's a going back to a hot take
- 54:14Speaker 4: and kind of something, like he would have gotten there.
- 54:17Speaker 4: The first place he went when they found the body
- 54:19Speaker 4: was the killer's house. Like, It's not like it was
- 54:21Speaker 4: this giant leap of faith, Like we would have never
- 54:23Speaker 4: found him without the fingerprint from the past, right, because
- 54:26Speaker 4: the first place you looked was the killers, Like, I
- 54:30Speaker 4: feel like they would have gotten there.
- 54:32Speaker 3: Yeah. Also, he couldn't till ten minutes earlier to his
- 54:36Speaker 3: kid's house to like, so he didn't have to get
- 54:39Speaker 3: his ass kicked before you know, he finally killed him,
- 54:43Speaker 3: you know what I mean?
- 54:45Speaker 4: I read that as he wasn't alive in that timeline
- 54:48Speaker 4: until the sun his son would have died if he
- 54:53Speaker 4: went to blow in the handoff in the past, so
- 54:56Speaker 4: he didn't exist in the future until he blew the
- 54:59Speaker 4: handoff and the ass which allowed his future son to
- 55:04Speaker 4: gain the upper hand again momentarily, which allowed him to
- 55:08Speaker 4: not die you and be alive. It's confusing, doesn't.
- 55:14Speaker 3: Feel like I don't think about it too hard situation.
- 55:17Speaker 4: Yeah, but I don't think he was sitting down the
- 55:20Speaker 4: park bench like you know Captain America was. And I
- 55:23Speaker 4: think I think he just reappeared in the past and
- 55:27Speaker 4: went and got Chekhov's gun as quickly as possible and
- 55:30Speaker 4: then shot up.
- 55:31Speaker 3: I hope he was like, today's the day I gotta
- 55:33Speaker 3: go save my son. I hope that's what time is it?
- 55:37Speaker 4: Oh no, March eleven.
- 55:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be a dumb version of this movie.
- 55:47Speaker 3: I kind of like it, kind of.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Oh god, oh no, he's in a movie theater.
- 55:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that's Those were all the scenes that I had though.
- 56:00Speaker 2: That's awesome. Well, I think we all agree talking over
- 56:03Speaker 2: the radio, Yeah, I love that, you know, and not
- 56:06Speaker 2: the initial time. It's when they like are really vibing
- 56:09Speaker 2: and yeah.
- 56:10Speaker 3: They're both on board. They know what's up. Yeah.
- 56:13Speaker 4: Yeah, specifically after he save them, and you know, it's
- 56:16Speaker 4: that's not the whole thing of the movie. So it's
- 56:18Speaker 4: a it's works that that's the scene that works the
- 56:22Speaker 4: best because that's kind of the back film.
- 56:25Speaker 2: And all caused by those northern lights, silly northern lights
- 56:30Speaker 2: that lets no one seemed to care about quite enough,
- 56:32Speaker 2: I didn't think, because they were very I don't know
- 56:36Speaker 2: where well.
- 56:38Speaker 4: In the bronx in you're gonna step outside with all
- 56:43Speaker 4: the light pollution and see the northern lights that vividly
- 56:46Speaker 4: you get out here out here. I do have a
- 56:50Speaker 4: dishouner roll mention that I need to bring up. Yes,
- 56:54Speaker 4: it brought me out of the movie aggressively, but the
- 56:56Speaker 4: final scene of this movie is atrocious. The the family baseball, Yeah,
- 57:03Speaker 4: and it's very much a family soft and Graham was
- 57:05Speaker 4: on third, for godsake, what's putting a woman of that
- 57:07Speaker 4: age in the infield is reckless.
- 57:11Speaker 3: I think she was just a coach because they were hitting.
- 57:13Speaker 4: No she was on the field. I think I thought
- 57:16Speaker 4: she was their nobody outside of the family, and Gordo
- 57:20Speaker 4: was playing, and yet the entire community is showing up
- 57:22Speaker 4: and cheering like it's this big event, like, oh, let's
- 57:25Speaker 4: go watch Frank's family play softball.
- 57:27Speaker 3: Also, I there I thought.
- 57:31Speaker 4: Okay, is he there so bad?
- 57:34Speaker 3: It was versus firefighters situation.
- 57:40Speaker 4: But because there was kids and women, Yeah, they.
- 57:44Speaker 3: Have arrives and children.
- 57:45Speaker 8: Okay, it was It was a terrible scene.
- 57:48Speaker 3: I thought what was happening was Dennis Quaid was going
- 57:51Speaker 3: to drop out of a heart attack. It's running around
- 57:54Speaker 3: the bases. I was like, we're.
- 57:57Speaker 2: Doing here, Like what we're gonna do?
- 57:59Speaker 3: What's a life well spent or something?
- 58:04Speaker 4: He was struggling, gotta get that CB, working aga into save.
- 58:07Speaker 3: Dand mixing a salad.
- 58:13Speaker 1: Bad.
- 58:16Speaker 3: There was definitely a moment drop dead. Is that this weird?
- 58:22Speaker 2: It's weird? No, he has a kid in this timeline.
- 58:26Speaker 3: Sure, it's fun. They break his his buddy's beamer.
- 58:31Speaker 2: Yea, the bends, it's the bend.
- 58:34Speaker 3: The bend.
- 58:34Speaker 4: Also a terrible camera shot which on that ball was
- 58:39Speaker 4: coming in at It comes from the tired.
- 58:46Speaker 8: Like a child to throw the ball up at the light.
- 58:50Speaker 4: Come on, whatever. That whole scene, the whole scene pissed
- 58:53Speaker 4: me out. I think Garth Brooks is saying that it
- 58:55Speaker 4: does it. It's not the right song for that moment.
- 58:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, what is the song? I can't even remember.
- 59:01Speaker 4: I don't remember the name of the songs, definitely nominated
- 59:06Speaker 4: for a Golden Golden didn't win. Trivia grew in the movie.
- 59:12Speaker 2: But yeah, my dishonorable mention is just that that line reading.
- 59:19Speaker 3: Well, she sure med something. He's a good actor. Why
- 59:25Speaker 3: did he suck on that line so much?
- 59:27Speaker 4: Yes, he was really emotional.
- 59:29Speaker 3: I really like that anyway, And I'm so sad it
- 59:33Speaker 3: was that line of this.
- 59:34Speaker 2: It was timmy do you know? And castaway and castaway
- 59:41Speaker 2: when he's on the airplane and he's just like, I'm
- 59:47Speaker 2: so sad that I forget her name. Helen Hunt's character,
- 59:53Speaker 2: isn't there, Yeah, I don't remember.
- 59:56Speaker 3: No, it's when there, it's when there. It doesn't matter
- 59:58Speaker 3: what it is. But yeah, he's talking to his buddies.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: He's like, yeah, and I know that happened. And I
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: was so sad, and Rob was sad. Damn it. I think.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: It takes me out of the whole movie.
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: I hate and that was like, it really didn't buck me.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: You're cool with the whole all the dialogue with the volleyball, but.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: You love notice sobbing at that point.
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: You know, it's another It's another criminal accent movie, right,
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: Helen hunt was awful.
- 1:00:33Speaker 8: Like it was.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: She can't do any wrong to me, so I don't.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: I don't care what she sounds like.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Well making fun, speaking of fun lines and stuff, and
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: keep moving. Let's let's go to show me the show me.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: She mean something to me.
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: I love what he's he's interrogating the young guy. He
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: just deliveries.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: It's one of my few quotes I wrote down on this.
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: It was cracking me up.
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: This.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: I have almost no quote that makes me feel good
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: because I was like, at all, yeah, well go first
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: to him.
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: Maybe just say one each time, just.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: Say one, because I literally have three.
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: Okay, I have I have a favorite delivery. But I
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: have the best line. The best line is from the
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: bar scene that you mentioned, and it just that you
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: went down thirty years ago. Pal, you just don't know
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: it yet.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: The movie.
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: That's a mic draft line.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: I feel like the entire script was written around that line.
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: You know, they were like, yeah, okay, let's write a
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: movie where someone can say that now, because that's a
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: cool line.
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: Yeah, fly in his logic is the guy broke into
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: his host like two days later and almost killed him.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: If you're gonna drop that line, you got to make
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: sure you don't let the guy come kill you.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: Yeah right, don't do that. And then I'm still here. Chief, Yeah, Love,
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: I'm still here, Chief, That's what I'm still here, Chief Eve.
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: What about this after the brex and fire, after he
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: after he gets out little chief, little chief, little chief, Yeah,
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: excuse yelling, little cheep.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: Everyone's like, did he get too much smoke? What's happenings wrong.
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: With frank someone?
- 1:02:17Speaker 8: We should probably take him?
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: Trying to say something else? Is this a stroke situation?
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: What we're working with her? Well, we've said most of
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: mine because I had that you want black sugar, It's
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: all good, you'll black.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: It is funny that that one sticks out.
- 1:02:36Speaker 8: I don't know why he delivered it so well. It's
- 1:02:39Speaker 8: it's a really.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: Delivery classics, a bit Blae.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: Killing it. I love when they're riding the bicycle and
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: he's like, why don't we tame this brownco you and
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: me spearited, guts you and spirit and guts a lot.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: Yeah, they said that.
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: It comes back later to call back line talking about
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: our our best supporting and brower God. He has a lion.
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: When the timeline changes and it goes from three to
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: ten victims and Jim Jim I was like, I was like,
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: uh no, no, I know this case there was only
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: three and Andre Brower looks at me, was like are
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: you talking? And the way he like, you know, than anybody,
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: the affectation of it, it's so good.
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: We should have talked about that. I actually liked that
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: scene a lot. I thought that was really cool when
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: it was, you know, because he realizes it's his mom
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: and there's.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: More when he sees it.
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: It's really great. That's a good scene.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: That's a good Every scene in that whole sequence is
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: really good.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: Yeah, but you're right, that line is so fun. Brower
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: is just like what what are you talking about? You know,
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: just like he kind of loses it a little bit.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: I love that. It's a good one.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: How does that all? Either line written down?
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: The only other one I have is when he's explaining
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: what the new memories are the first time to his
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: dad over the radio, and it's like he's like, it's
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: like waking up for a dream and you're not sure
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: what's real and what's not. And I thought that was
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: a really effective way to and the dad sell does
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: no clue what's going on because he doesn't he's not
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: getting it yet. It was a good way to like
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: kind of explain the new memories, is the way they
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: explain it in that scene.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Nice.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I did like that. That was all I had
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: right now. I don't have anything else. I'm glad to
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: hear you guys didn't either, because I was like, was
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: not No, it's just not just like normal talking more.
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: I feel nice.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: Yeah, let's go to bugs. Boohoo moments. Wait, I picked four?
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: What intriguing?
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: I picked four?
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: Do you think that's too many or not enough?
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: It's higher than I had too, okayy probably long cries.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: Sure, I love the long cry, love a medium cry.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: Yeah, all cries. You don't discriminate. So, Timmy, these are
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: the four I picked. You let me know what you picked.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: I'm going to be right here with you always. As
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: he's teaching him how to ride the bike.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: I expected that to get me, and it didn't.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: Okay, I was surprised by that.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: I don't know you anymore, but I don't. That's the
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: second one. Maybe you're still my little Chief.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: Yeah, that definitely did get me.
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: Still my little Chief is the first little Chief, which
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: was great after he survived the fire.
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: Like yeah, that's part of that scene.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: Right, And then I guess it's just later on in
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: that same scene, so it might have just been.
- 1:05:50Speaker 8: One long cry on long cry.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: I love you Dad, I've missed you so much.
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: I write, little Chief, I love you son, I love
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: you Dad, or whatever. So I brote them so but okay,
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: you're not wrong.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Okay, cool, got you, And then at the very end
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: that I'm still here, Chief, And then the baseball game
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: where John has a family now that Timmy loved so much.
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: I'm still here, Chief is the correct second moment. And
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: then you immediately stop crying and get angry once they
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: started playing baseball. The community of people who have should
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: have zero interest in watching them, but are there anyway
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: and invested in the game.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: I both did not cry at that point and also
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: was not as angry as you seem to be about it.
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: So I was just much more even keel, but not
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: at that I'm still your Chief. No, that one didn't
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: get me either, which is interesting.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: Okay, so you only got got to hug his dad
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: for the first like, yeah.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: Dude, yeah, that was weird. Maybe I did, and I
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: didn't write it down.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: A man, you don't cry to you did you cry?
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: You cry?
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: Right, you cry.
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: I just feel like I didn't write it down, so
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: I feel like I did well.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: I don't think there's like I know, I was probably
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: overdoing it, but I don't think there's any other spots
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: where you where you did.
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: There's one more.
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: You just got the one.
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: No, there's one more. So it was too it was
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: too total. But like we said, you had this sort
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: of like.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: Something with the mom.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: Uh no, it was when after we think he succeeds
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: and his dad survives, but then he's still dead and
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: he's like it was lung cancer ten years ago, and
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: that that really got me. That sort of going to
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: get you oh no, yeah, like and just him talking
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: about because he thinks he won, right, and then he's like, right, no,
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: your dad didn't die. You know. It's one of those again,
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: like he's sort of figuring it out at the same time.
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: That got me for some reason. I don't know why.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: Oh see it. I didn't even take that scene as
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: like a gut punch for his character, like I thought
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: it was a win, like I because he's.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: Still in twenty years, still lost his dad. He thought
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: his dad would be there and be safe, and then
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: it was like, oh, it's a.
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: He gained twenty years and memories like I thought that
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: was The wind was like.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I need way more time with this.
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: But he also still that day I got to remember
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: like playing ball with him, and like him being there
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: and like him being in my family. Pictures are getting there.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: He taught me how to ride the bike. We tamed
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: that bronc.
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: It something and gut spirit and gut spirit.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: Spirit was one of your favorite quotes.
- 1:08:25Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: Yeah, it wasn't.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: A lot of just too too boo.
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: Though not very many. A heartless man, I guess, so heartless.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: I cried when that poor man lost his hand. That
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: seems sad. No, I'm just kidding. Where'd your ankle?
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: Sure?
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: Sure, I just love Tam Dally. Get a bit my
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: hand off. Let's go ahead and talk about.
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: Here.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: I didn't have too many for this. There wasn't a
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: lot out there, but the Warehouse fire seat. All the
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: firefighters except Dennis Quaid, Peter McNeil, and Jordan Bridges are real,
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: so I thought that was kind of cool. They were
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: all just actual firefighters, which is five. Also in that scene,
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: Dennis Quaid received sixteen stitches just above his hairline after
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: being injured in a stunt when he was sliding down
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: the construction funnels during the warehouse fire.
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: It's said in that scene, had he not had to
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: toss his head went slowly.
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: The forty five minute helmet drop because he had to
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: do that as a plot device. He got injured, but
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: he wouldn't have bet otherwise apparently, so I don't know what.
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: He must have just hit his head on something.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: I guess the side.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: How did the other.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Lady not hit her head?
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: He's holding her like, Yeah, he's a fireman. A fireman,
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: you told you how to go downside with people so
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: they don't get hurt.
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: Is that right? All right?
- 1:09:55Speaker 8: You've never gotten to fireman's school.
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: I have not. I went to one. I thought it
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: was fireman school, but it ended up being a strip
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: strip tease poll dancing class. I thought it had the poll.
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: I thought that's where I was going with that. I
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: was going to say, where is this going?
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: The second?
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: Sorry, you just reminded me of a quote that I missed.
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: I have to I have to go back to a
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: quote because it's like a funny quote you'd say to
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: your wife, Like I thought I was going to school honey,
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: but it ended up being a strip club.
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: Is that.
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: One of his first one of one of the first.
- 1:10:30Speaker 8: Lines that Jim.
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: Cavizo is, I can't change Sam. I wish I could,
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: but I can't. And I was just thinking when I
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: saw that when I first watched, like, could you imagine
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: saying that to your significant other inargument?
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: I mean, you're basically just saying like, I'm not interested
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: in doing that, so I am, I'm sorry, you.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: Know who you're married here.
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: I wish I could come.
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: I wish I wanted to do that, but I don't.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: I wish, but I clearly don't want to.
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: So I also love it. I had, Actually I did
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: have one other quote, and it's a quaid at the beginning,
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: when he's like, what's the matter, doll, You're having trouble
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: working eight hours at the hospital, then coming home to
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: take care of the kids, and now we can't even
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: make a ball and a's or whatever.
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: There is a good line. Oh yeah, it's right when
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: he puts elvis on. It's a very forward line in
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: sixty nine thinking of his wife as a working woman.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: I think he called her bud and then I couldn't
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: hear anything else.
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: Oh, he probably did say, but not doll.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: Yeah you're what are you saying, bro?
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: Why would you do that?
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: M The Ballina's delivery is fun though, like it added
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: a fun yeh because she didn't say bollin as he
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: added it.
- 1:11:44Speaker 8: I thought that was ever.
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: He's a man of the world.
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: On April twenty fifth, and the year two thousand, the
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: New Northern Mets and Cincinnati Reds played a game wearing
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: their sixty nine uniforms to promote this film, which I
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: thought was kind of fun.
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: That I sat down too. It's kind of fun that
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: and the next one that I wrote down, Yeah, I
- 1:12:04Speaker 4: was just gonna say that, like hearkens to a time
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: in movies which you know, twenty five years ago, but
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: like a movie this wasn't a tent pole movie. Yeah,
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: this flew under the radar, but that it still had
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: major League Baseball tie ins, Like you don't get that today.
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: If you're not Marvel, you're not getting any sort of
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: ballpark promotion going on. And then the same with like
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: the list of other actors who were attached to this movie,
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: Like I feel like you never get a list of
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: twenty A listers attached to any film anymore. It's so
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: much more niche and targeted. Right, that's interesting, But I
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: will I'll read so along with Sylvester Stallone, who was
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: very far along in this. It sounds like until there
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: was a pay dispute, which I don't see this movie
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: working with Sylvester Stallone, but other actors no, well maybe
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: maybe different movie.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: Maybe not in two thousand though he was kind of
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: already passed his like real acting at that point.
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: And before his revival where he's like interesting again anyway,
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: Sylvester Stolen, Mel Gibson, Harrison Forward, Michael Keaton, Bruce Willis,
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: Kurt Russell, Kevin Costner, Patrick Swayzee, Ed Harris, Bill Paxton,
- 1:13:12Speaker 4: Tom Hanks, Michael Bean doesn't belong on this list.
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: No, it's awesome.
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: Alec Baldwin, Kevin Bacon, John travolt The Gary Sinise, Timily Jones,
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: and Jeff Bridges were considered to play Frank Silvan, so
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: they weren't all attached.
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: But I mean, that's it's just everybody just right. I
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: feel like that we never know what considered even means
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: we talked about all the times, like did someone say like, hey,
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: we should ask him if they're interested, And that's all
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: you know, but yeah, that's a ton of people. It's interesting. Yeah,
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: I thought it was fun that all the World series
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: facts were true in this film that they stated. And
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: I didn't know the met story about Kleon Jones, but
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: he really did get hit on the shoe with the
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: with the ball and at first the umpire didn't award
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: him the bass, but the manager, Gil Hodges came out
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: and showed him the shoe polish on the ball and
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: then it was from then referenced as the shoe polish
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: incident because he changed his changed his call because of
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: that went for him. I thought that was kind of neat.
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: Didn't makes sense why he would remember it then, right,
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: and memorable. Yeah, a part in the film I get. Yeah,
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: super super appropriate and fun that it was real.
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I liked that a lot. Elizabeth Mitchell broke her
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: nose during the production, apparently presumably in that fight scene.
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: I don't know when else she would have done it.
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: I think she also went on the slide, but it
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: was just for fun.
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: Oh this slide is dangerous, super dangerous slide.
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: And stop doing this. She also plays Jim Cavizil's mother,
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: but in reality she is younger than cavizl and similarly
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: through the story, and they suggest that the characters about
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: the same age as Dennis Quaid, but she's sixteen years
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: younger than Quaid and a year younger than Capizol. So
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: Quaid was forty six, Coviza was thirty one, and Mitchell
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: was thirty, which I get at their different parts of timelines.
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: So you know whatever, Let's see what does that mean.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: Dennis Quaid is seventy one.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: Must be right. If it's two thousand, he was.
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: Forty six, Absolutely right. He's dating like a twenty three
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: year old?
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: Is he really?
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: Wow?
- 1:15:29Speaker 8: Dude, he married.
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: He does not look very he looks he does he
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: does know recently I've seen.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, you're just in the substance.
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: I didn't see that.
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: Dude does not look anyway.
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: Yeah, he was probably taking in the substance.
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: Probably his son is the process right now too.
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: Yeah, pretty Quid it's great, Yeah, Quit it's fun.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: Yeah, pretty fun. The last one that I had here
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: was Elizabeth Mitchell later starred and lost as we talked
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: about as Juliet, which is one of the main characters.
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: Another main character was Jack Shepherd. In Frequency, Sean Doyle
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: plays a character named Jack Shepard, and he has since
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: had a guest role on egg Town whatever that is.
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: And all of these shows have recurring themes about time
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: travel and alternate realities and things like that. So it's
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: kind of fun very.
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: That I have an exclusive trivia on my birthday. In
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: twenty sixteen. Okay, Rob, the host of this podcast, texted
- 1:16:31Speaker 4: me happy birthday because he's a sweet man. I do that,
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: love it, And I responded to him saying, I've been
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: thinking about you a lot lately because I keep seeing
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: the ad for the TV show Frequency.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: Oh sure, Oh yeah, it's nice.
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: Which came out in twenty sixteen.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: It is, dude, that did not do anything I did.
- 1:16:51Speaker 8: You were excited when I.
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: Told him was I was, and then you love this movie.
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: It's kind of surprising because that feels like it should
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: work as a TV show.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Should Yeah?
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: I feel like eighty TV shows just great great actors,
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: right and yeah, the characters right, and the right actor
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: in it and show people at the right time.
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: Yeah, hook them.
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: Shows that shouldn't work can still work if you have
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: the right actors.
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: Sure, yeah, yeah, But I looked at the cast list
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: and I don't know any of those folks.
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: That doesn't help. That doesn't help.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: Yeah, Mackay Pfeiffer was in it. Oh that's about it.
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: Nice anyway, that was all.
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: The tribute I had, Bud, Did you have any There
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: wasn't a lot, so I get it.
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: There wasn't. It was funny that he was telling him
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: about the McGuire's seventy home runs and it's like, oh,
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: that's a record that won't ever get broken. Literally, I
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: think it was at the next year Bonds hit seventy three.
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: So he wasn't right with that. That's literally everything I'll say. So, yeah,
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: that was whator're talking about. Let's uh, let's go then,
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: will be a sequel Judgment Day?
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: There was the TV show, I guess kind of the.
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: TV show and Do Well just one season. I can't
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: imagine they would do another sequel at this point.
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: Probably not, Probably could have. You probably could have gotten
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: away with it if you would have struck quick. If
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: this movie got made to day and if it was successful,
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: there'd absolutely be a sequel.
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you could do it a few years.
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: Probably you can go forever because you're just messing with time, right,
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: you could.
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: Yeah, but who knows. Those two main actors they seem
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: to kind of be in the same kind of scene.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: Maybe maybe they'll get to true who knows? Who knows?
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: Do you guys want to play a game?
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: Yes, I made a starting five. I know Timmy loves
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: the starting five. That's where I'm gonna name my five
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: favorite actors from a film. When you know the film,
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: you're going to ring in with your name. If you
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: get it wrong, no negative points, but you won't be
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: able to guess again for that movie. So make sure
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: it's right. If their actors' names remaining, you can guess
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: those for a point each. The other person can steal
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: if you get any of those names wrong. And all
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: of these films have something in common. When you know
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: the theme, you can ring in at any time for
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: a point. It might have something to do with the
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: movie that we just talked about.
- 1:19:22Speaker 4: Important question. Yes, does it matter if I butcher the
- 1:19:26Speaker 4: last name.
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it's kind of assumed at this point, and we
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: get it. We'll be okay. If you're close.
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: Tom, are you guys Tom Hanks hawks.
- 1:19:40Speaker 8: Him in the plane in Castaway?
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: Yes, yes, I was, I was so.
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:19:50Speaker 4: Cool.
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: Let's go. Let's do number one. The first name is
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: Amy Brenneman. The second name is William Peterson. You might
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: not know who he is from his name, but you
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: know his face.
- 1:20:07Speaker 8: Oh I know who he is.
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: Okay, good, I do not.
- 1:20:10Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: The third name Tim is this heat. It's not heat.
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: Gosh, I should have waited.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: It's not heat. And speaking of heat, so don't keep
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: because he can still go. Speaking of heat, Val Kilmer
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: passed away to that. Oh yeah, he is sad to
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: bring it down, but many in heat as well.
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: We just talked about all those Valcimera movies that I
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: didn't know any of, so I got to watch them all. Now. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: that's a bummer. But he was he was sick or something, right,
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: isn't there?
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: Well he had had like throat cancer. You do you
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: watch the Yeah.
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: I knew there was some reason that he had lost
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: his voice, but I didn't remember what it was. Yeah,
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: you're right.
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: Yeah that's a bummer because he wasn't very old. He
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: was sixty five.
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: Or some sixty five.
- 1:20:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: It was younger every day, I tell you that much.
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay, so we said Amy Brennanman William Peterson. The
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: third name is Alyssa Milano.
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: The fourth name is Reese Witherspoon. Timmy would have had
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: this by now.
- 1:21:21Speaker 4: I would have had it.
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: And the fifth and final name is Macky mac Wahlberg
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: five four three two.
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: I don't know one peep, Timmy.
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: What's the name of the movie.
- 1:21:37Speaker 8: Is it called Fear?
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: Is called Fear?
- 1:21:42Speaker 8: In heat? Why am I picturing him in heat?
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: I don't know if he he might be.
- 1:21:47Speaker 4: I think he maybe al Pacino's wife's new boyfriend.
