Modern people see the nation and state as inseparable, but this was not the case for most of history. The nation-state is a relatively new concept that was imposed across the globe after World War I. While many are pushing for a renewed understanding of nationalism, the fact may be that the nation-state has run its course. We'll dig into the history and political theory behind the nation-state.
