- 0:00Speaker 1: The following is a World Famous Phil Henry Show encore presentation.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Yes, welcome to the World Famous Phil Henry Show from
- 0:11Speaker 2: the El Pacifico in Southern California.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Me, I'm Bud Dickman.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Now, Mr. Henry. Thank you, Bud.
- 0:16Speaker 1: And along with Bud, we have General Galen Shaw, Margaret Gray. And,
- 0:20Speaker 1: of course, today we're going to have Stephen Bozell. Now,
- 0:23Speaker 1: we were going to have Professor Emery Clayton hosting. We
- 0:26Speaker 1: did contact Professor Emery Clayton. We haven't heard from him
- 0:29Speaker 1: in a great long time. He's been very busy.
- 0:32Speaker 4: He's now also teaching and lecturing at Barnyard College.
- 0:37Speaker 1: He's doing what? Turn that down, will you? What is
- 0:40Speaker 1: your question? I just, what did you say?
- 0:43Speaker 4: I said Professor Emery Clayton. Yeah, well, you said he's
- 0:46Speaker 4: at Barnyard College.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Oh.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Where is Barnyard College? Phil, do I? General, would you
- 0:53Speaker 1: let her just finish?
- 0:54Speaker 3: All right.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Where was I? Professor Emery Clayton teaching at Barnyard College.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Yes, Professor Emery Clayton is teaching at Barnyard College as
- 1:01Speaker 4: well as L.A. Canyon College, has been very busy, wanted
- 1:05Speaker 4: to host a segment of the show today, General.
- 1:09Speaker 1: All right, I'm sorry I asked. But got swamped, Phil.
- 1:12Speaker 1: All right, well, we're very happy, General, excuse me, a professor.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I'm the general. Oh, man.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Don't worry, guy.
- 1:18Speaker 1: You'd think you'd be glad to be called a professor.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I could care less. What's the story, anyway?
- 1:23Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I ask a question. Where's Barnyard College? Where is Barnyard College?
- 1:27Speaker 1: I don't know. Well, anyway, Professor Emery Clayton is, uh,
- 1:30Speaker 1: now he's at not only L.A. Canyon, but he's also
- 1:32Speaker 1: doing some lecturing at, um, Barnyard College. I think it's,
- 1:36Speaker 1: where is it, bud? It's out in the desert somewhere,
- 1:38Speaker 1: or it might be at the beach. Oh, that's great.
- 1:40Speaker 1: It's out in the desert or at the beach?
- 1:42Speaker 3: I don't know, man.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Well, look up Barnyard College. If you don't mind.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
- 1:46Speaker 1: So I think it's up the coast here, isn't it? Yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 1: it's Santa Barbara. So he's going from L.A. Canyon to
- 1:52Speaker 1: Santa Barbara. I guess that makes sense. Yeah, you can
- 1:53Speaker 1: go across. Well, what you do is you take the 26th.
- 1:56Speaker 1: All right. Nobody asked the directions general. Margaret, excuse me.
- 2:00Speaker 1: You can take the 126 to the 101 and.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Get up that way. Right, right.
- 2:04Speaker 1: All right, we have on the newsmaker line tonight Mr.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Stephen Bozell. We have talked with Mr. Bozell in the
- 2:11Speaker 1: past over a great many business matters, and he joins
- 2:15Speaker 1: us from Diamond Bar, California today. I know you're a— is
- 2:19Speaker 1: this sort of a contractor's expo, Steve?
- 2:22Speaker 3: Yeah, it is. We've got some 25 contractors here from
- 2:26Speaker 3: the Orange County and the East Elliott County area. We
- 2:30Speaker 3: come out here every year to Diamond Bar for the
- 2:32Speaker 3: contractor expo. And we get to meet and greet with
- 2:35Speaker 3: some of the subcontractors, also people in the materials, salespeople,
- 2:40Speaker 3: and so on and so forth. All right.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I know that you're a little bit busy there.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Well, I could move into one of the offices here,
- 2:47Speaker 3: but I wanted to say hello. Let me just say
- 2:49Speaker 3: hello to Fatso. Hey, Fat, Steve Bozell. I'm great.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Who is that?
- 2:57Speaker 3: He's just one of the suppliers that we deal with.
- 3:02Speaker 3: I'm going to be over here in this office, if
- 3:04Speaker 3: you don't mind, okay? This office right here, Fatso, yeah.
- 3:13Speaker 1: So that guy is a supplier.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Yes, sir, yeah. He supplies something called Concreative. It's a
- 3:21Speaker 3: topper for pool decks and concrete. There's a couple other things,
- 3:26Speaker 3: some materials, brushes, things like that. All right, Steve, so
- 3:31Speaker 3: let's talk a little bit about your crew at B &
- 3:34Speaker 3: B Construction.
- 3:36Speaker 1: You're a baseball fan.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Yes, sir, I am.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Tell me what happened today.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Well, no, it actually over last week, I was going
- 3:44Speaker 3: to say over the weekend, I'd come in on the
- 3:46Speaker 3: week of Friday. I came in, and, you know, as
- 3:51Speaker 3: I got to talking to my wife about it and
- 3:52Speaker 3: I talked to some friends about it, it's probably not
- 3:54Speaker 3: that big of a deal, but it scared me. And
- 4:00Speaker 3: I talked to April about it, and she said to
- 4:04Speaker 3: me something that I never thought any wife of mine
- 4:07Speaker 3: would say. She said that I needed some kind of
- 4:11Speaker 3: a psychiatrist. And I said, you know, that's so offensive
- 4:17Speaker 3: because I'm talking about the baseball season and how people
- 4:20Speaker 3: responded to my love of baseball, and she thinks I
- 4:23Speaker 3: need to go to a psychiatric center. Well, I tell
- 4:27Speaker 3: you what.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Let's hear the story. Now, why would she say that?
- 4:32Speaker 1: Let's hear the story. What happened?
- 4:33Speaker 3: Well, I walked into the office on Friday, and I
- 4:36Speaker 3: said to my crew, I said crew. It was my
- 4:39Speaker 3: office staff. I had Wendy there and Gail. I have
- 4:43Speaker 3: Pete Breyer, Cliff Pettigrew is one of the crew chiefs.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I know five or six of them there. And I said, hey, everybody,
- 4:50Speaker 3: springtime is upon us. It's baseball season. And the room
- 4:55Speaker 3: fell quiet. I don't think I've ever experienced anything like
- 5:00Speaker 3: this before in my life. And I can tell you, Mr. Henry,
- 5:04Speaker 3: we've all been disrespected in our lives. I've felt disrespect.
- 5:07Speaker 3: I've felt the sting of disrespect. But this was a
- 5:13Speaker 3: new level. I said, hey, everyone, what could be bad
- 5:16Speaker 3: about baseball? I said, hey, everyone, the spring is here.
- 5:19Speaker 3: So I'm talking about a beautiful time of year. And
- 5:22Speaker 3: baseball is back. And everyone glanced up at me. With
- 5:27Speaker 3: a look that... I tweeted about this.
- 5:31Speaker 1: You said it looked like Fear the Dead Man.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Exactly. It was about that.
- 5:35Speaker 1: What is Fear the Dead Man? Are you talking about
- 5:37Speaker 1: Fear of the Walking Dead?
- 5:38Speaker 3: Well, Mr. Henry told me.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Yeah, the show is called Fear of the Walking Dead.
- 5:42Speaker 3: All right, Fear of the... They looked at me... Have
- 5:45Speaker 3: you seen that show, Mr. Henry?
- 5:46Speaker 1: I've seen Walking Dead, Fear of the Walking Dead. You're
- 5:48Speaker 1: talking about zombies and that kind of thing.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Yes, sir. But the deadness of the faces is what...
- 5:55Speaker 3: And I looked... And I kind of did what, I
- 5:58Speaker 3: shook my, I closed my eyes and shook my head
- 6:00Speaker 3: and opened my eyes back again. And the faces of
- 6:04Speaker 3: these people were, had a look of not, they weren't
- 6:08Speaker 3: just bored or disinterested. The dead look in the face
- 6:13Speaker 3: and the dead, the death of their skin, everything about them,
- 6:18Speaker 3: you know, and it almost looked like they wanted to
- 6:22Speaker 3: eat my flesh.
- 6:23Speaker 1: And I've, I've, All right, now this is why probably
- 6:26Speaker 1: your wife, because you're serious, right?
- 6:28Speaker 3: No, I'm not saying these, I'm saying these people showed
- 6:32Speaker 3: me such disinterest in what I was saying. It wasn't
- 6:37Speaker 3: just that they were bored.
- 6:40Speaker 4: There was death in their faces, and it looked as
- 6:43Speaker 4: if they wanted to eat you.
- 6:45Speaker 3: It looked like, you know.
- 6:48Speaker 1: They wanted to consume human flesh.
- 6:50Speaker 3: What?
- 6:51Speaker 1: They wanted to consume the human flesh.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Yes, my human flesh. And I told my wife April,
- 6:57Speaker 3: I said, check me out on this. I know that
- 7:00Speaker 3: I've had my run-ins with my office staff before, but
- 7:03Speaker 3: are the things that I say so uninteresting that it
- 7:08Speaker 3: not only sucks the life out of people in terms
- 7:11Speaker 3: of their interests, but literally they become dead. And they
- 7:18Speaker 3: stare up... You know, just a moment before, they were
- 7:22Speaker 3: a lively, chattering group. I walked in, and they kind
- 7:25Speaker 3: of looked, and they had smiles on their faces. Hey,
- 7:27Speaker 3: it's springtime. Baseball's here. And all of a sudden, the
- 7:30Speaker 3: color washed out. The faces had a green, almost a
- 7:33Speaker 3: greenish tinge. The eyes became dark and dead. And I, boy,
- 7:40Speaker 3: I tell you, God help me, it felt almost as
- 7:44Speaker 3: if you know, they'd be the dead.
- 7:47Speaker 1: What do you do? All right, so why did your
- 7:49Speaker 1: wife say a psychiatrist? Because she thinks you're hallucinating?
- 7:52Speaker 3: She thought I was hallucinating. I didn't mean literally. I'm
- 7:55Speaker 3: not saying... All right, so.
- 7:56Speaker 1: You didn't literally see their faces turn green? That's what
- 8:00Speaker 1: we're worried about here.
- 8:01Speaker 3: No, not literally. I'm just saying I was so insulted
- 8:06Speaker 3: by their lack of reaction... Okay. that it looked to
- 8:10Speaker 3: me for a split second like, And they're not only
- 8:13Speaker 3: disinterested and bored, they've died. What I just said to
- 8:19Speaker 3: them is the equivalent, and forgive me, Mr. Henry, but
- 8:23Speaker 3: we've all heard people say who died when someone has
- 8:26Speaker 3: a gas problem or someone was not able to hold
- 8:29Speaker 3: one in. They couldn't get it to the bathroom in time.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I know what you're talking about, yeah. We know, Steve.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Okay. Well, it's like I didn't have to ask that question.
- 8:39Speaker 3: I said, hey, everyone, it's baseball season. It's springtime and
- 8:43Speaker 3: baseball season. And all of a sudden, I look and
- 8:46Speaker 3: I go, God, oh, man, they're dead. Like that line
- 8:51Speaker 3: in that movie, they're dead, they're all messed up.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I was going to say, they're dead, they're all
- 8:55Speaker 1: messed up. What does that mean, they're dead, they're all
- 8:57Speaker 1: messed up? It's a line from Night of the Living Dead.
- 9:00Speaker 3: All right. Get it right there, Night of the Living Dead.
- 9:03Speaker 1: All right, so I'm a little bit confused. I'm not
- 9:06Speaker 1: saying you're nuts, Steve. I'm not saying that. Did April
- 9:09Speaker 1: literally mean go to a psychiatrist?
- 9:11Speaker 3: April wanted me. She wanted to sign me in right
- 9:15Speaker 3: over here at Burgonia. What's the one over there?
- 9:21Speaker 1: Which one?
- 9:22Speaker 3: The psychiatric center that's over there in Fontana. I don't know.
- 9:26Speaker 3: I think it's Burgonia or Burburgia. psychiatric facility. And she
- 9:34Speaker 3: wanted a sign. She had her pen ready.
- 9:38Speaker 1: She wanted a what?
- 9:39Speaker 3: She was going to drive me over and sign me
- 9:42Speaker 3: in for an evaluation. I said, what is your... She said,
- 9:45Speaker 3: you just got done telling me that the people in
- 9:48Speaker 3: your office became the dead when you said you love baseball.
- 9:55Speaker 1: All right, well, what's the essential gist of this, Steve?
- 9:58Speaker 1: They're bored?
- 10:00Speaker 3: It was beyond boredom. It was beyond hatred. It was
- 10:06Speaker 3: what I said about baseball. And, you know, I'll tell
- 10:09Speaker 3: you something. I know that we've worked on this over
- 10:12Speaker 3: the years, Mr. Henry, and I've talked to you on
- 10:14Speaker 3: your program about it, but God damn it. You know...
- 10:18Speaker 3: I'll say something, and it isn't that people are just
- 10:20Speaker 3: bored with it. It isn't that people are just disinterested
- 10:23Speaker 3: in it. I'll say something to people, and from the
- 10:28Speaker 3: neck up, there's no life. They just, they die. And
- 10:33Speaker 3: they stare at you, and not just die.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Yeah, you're not saying they die, they want to eat
- 10:36Speaker 2: the flesh. Yeah, that's... Alright, but not literally?
- 10:41Speaker 3: Well, no, but, you know, a moment like that, here's
- 10:45Speaker 3: my question for you, and I think we're missing the
- 10:47Speaker 3: point here, and I blame myself. When you say, hey, everyone,
- 10:51Speaker 3: it's baseball season, do you expect people to look at
- 10:53Speaker 3: you like they want to eat your flesh? Well, do you?
- 10:57Speaker 3: Can I answer?
- 10:58Speaker 1: I'd like to answer that. Go ahead, General. No, I don't, Steve,
- 11:02Speaker 1: and I'm not sure that I've ever seen anybody look
- 11:04Speaker 1: at me that way.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Okay, so here we go again. Steve Bozell has got
- 11:10Speaker 3: the problem and everybody else is fine.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I'm not saying that.
- 11:13Speaker 4: I'm saying that when you said, hey everyone, it's springtime
- 11:17Speaker 4: and baseball season, you didn't just see.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Them look annoyed.
- 11:23Speaker 3: No, it was beyond annoyed.
- 11:24Speaker 4: And they didn't look bored and they didn't look disinterested
- 11:27Speaker 4: and they didn't turn back to their work. They stared
- 11:29Speaker 4: at you as if they wanted to eat your flesh.
- 11:33Speaker 3: They looked dead. They looked like the dead men. They
- 11:37Speaker 3: were dead. I don't know. All right, here we go.
- 11:44Speaker 3: I always love, this is the part when I'm on
- 11:45Speaker 3: the Mr. Henry show, when I always hear him go, ha, ha, ha, ha.
- 11:49Speaker 3: You know, and. God, Mr.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Bloisdale, you're the guy that wants to come on a show.
- 11:52Speaker 3: I didn't know. I called up and I said I
- 11:55Speaker 3: had something I wanted to say. Yeah.
- 11:57Speaker 1: All right, wait, hold on for a minute.
- 11:59Speaker 3: But, you know.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I laughed. I'm sorry, Steve, that I laughed. I don't
- 12:03Speaker 1: know how we can help you.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Here's what my essential point is. Baseball has, you know,
- 12:11Speaker 3: a lot of people say that baseball is on the
- 12:14Speaker 3: way out. And I've got to tell you something. I
- 12:17Speaker 3: take that very personally. I take that, you know, that hurts.
- 12:22Speaker 3: It hurts me deep down.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Well, who's saying that? I can answer that. But, Steve,
- 12:28Speaker 1: who's saying that?
- 12:29Speaker 3: Well, go ahead, Mr. Eddie.
- 12:31Speaker 1: I mean, I've been reading.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Hold on, I'll do it. There's a lot of people,
- 12:35Speaker 3: especially in the sports commentary community, they'll tell you that
- 12:38Speaker 3: baseball is a slow game. It does not appeal to
- 12:41Speaker 3: the younger generation. It's more of an older generation game.
- 12:44Speaker 3: And it may be on its way up. I couldn't
- 12:48Speaker 3: get Steve Jr. to go with me last year. I
- 12:52Speaker 3: had four seats for the San Francisco Giants, and it
- 12:56Speaker 3: doesn't get any better than that. Let me tell you what,
- 12:57Speaker 3: Dodgers and Giants... And I had four seats. And they
- 13:03Speaker 3: were upper level, but they were right behind third base.
- 13:07Speaker 3: And I said to Steve Jr., come on, let's go.
- 13:09Speaker 3: He said that he didn't want to. He'd rather stay
- 13:12Speaker 3: home and play Munchbot.
- 13:14Speaker 1: What is Munchbot?
- 13:16Speaker 3: It's some video game that they got. I said... You're
- 13:20Speaker 3: kidding me, right? So I asked my wife, she didn't,
- 13:22Speaker 3: and my daughter, and I called up Cliff Pettigrew. No one,
- 13:26Speaker 3: I couldn't, I went by myself, had three empty seats.
- 13:28Speaker 1: You're kidding.
- 13:29Speaker 3: No, I'm not kidding.
- 13:31Speaker 1: You went by yourself, that was last year.
- 13:32Speaker 3: That was last, yeah, that was last year. I sat there,
- 13:34Speaker 3: I got cotton candy, I got a box of popcorn.
- 13:38Speaker 3: I had a thing, I got one of them, what
- 13:41Speaker 3: do you call it, nacho trays.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Yeah, with the cheese?
- 13:43Speaker 3: Yeah, with the cheese. I had a beer, I had
- 13:46Speaker 3: a Coke. I went and got a dog. They don't
- 13:50Speaker 3: call him Dodger Dog no more, but I got the dog.
- 13:53Speaker 3: And I watched, and the only next thing I know,
- 13:56Speaker 3: I get home, and I've got runny diarrhea.
- 14:00Speaker 1: All right, Steve, we don't need all the graphic description.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Well, but my point is, you know, I went to
- 14:05Speaker 3: the game, and you'd think I'd have some enjoyment out
- 14:08Speaker 3: of it, but no, I come home, and I'm on
- 14:10Speaker 3: a toilet. Go to the Dodger game, have some food,
- 14:13Speaker 3: go home, sit on a toilet for a half hour.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Did they win?
- 14:17Speaker 3: No, they didn't. No, they didn't. So that's all well
- 14:23Speaker 3: and good.
- 14:24Speaker 1: We're talking to Steve Bozell here about what you find
- 14:28Speaker 1: to be the lack of interest in baseball, especially at
- 14:30Speaker 1: your office. Now, I saw what you tweeted, and you
- 14:32Speaker 1: said that they were like.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I can't describe it, but they looked at me, and
- 14:38Speaker 3: it was almost as if they wanted to come toward
- 14:42Speaker 3: me and eat.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Eat your flesh?
- 14:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:47Speaker 1: What does this mean? You know, there's been a lot
- 14:49Speaker 1: of weird things that have been said on this program, Mr. Moselle,
- 14:51Speaker 1: not you necessarily, but I don't understand what you mean.
- 14:56Speaker 1: They weren't bored.
- 14:56Speaker 3: It was beyond bored.
- 14:58Speaker 1: So you'd say they were beyond, they were so bored
- 15:01Speaker 1: it went beyond boredom, it went beyond irritation, straight to zombie.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Straight to hostile, flesh-eating zombie. And I saw this in
- 15:11Speaker 3: their eyes, and I saw it in their skin.
- 15:14Speaker 5: And.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Steve, and that's when April said you need a psychiatrist.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Yes, and I said to her, I don't mean literally
- 15:21Speaker 3: they're zombies, but the hostility that I'm feeling, the disinterest
- 15:25Speaker 3: I'm feeling, the complete lack of compassion, the lack of connection.
- 15:30Speaker 3: This is baseball we're talking about, something that every American
- 15:34Speaker 3: can at least acknowledge is fun or interesting or something.
- 15:39Speaker 3: But in my office, they not only didn't recognize it
- 15:43Speaker 3: as anything as fun... They turned into dead people with
- 15:48Speaker 3: dead faces. Man, they were dead. Thank you very much.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Can't hang up, sir.
- 15:57Speaker 3: I know that, but God damn it. Would you people
- 16:00Speaker 3: shut up?
- 16:00Speaker 4: I'm on the phone.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Hey, fatso, why don't you take your shit and sell
- 16:07Speaker 3: it someplace else?
- 16:12Speaker 1: Oh, Bill, I don't think laughing helps him at all. No,
- 16:15Speaker 1: I don't think it does either, but what do you
- 16:16Speaker 1: want me to say?
- 16:17Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, Mr.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Bozell, you just, we heard you tell Fatso to take
- 16:21Speaker 1: his S word, yeah. How much does he weigh? Give
- 16:25Speaker 1: me the phone, will.
- 16:26Speaker 3: You, man? God. I said to him, and I'll say
- 16:29Speaker 3: it again, I stand by every word. When the fat
- 16:32Speaker 3: man sings, you watch.
- 16:36Speaker 1: It.
- 16:37Speaker 3: When the fat man sings.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Wait a minute, Steve, you're on the air. Steve and
- 16:40Speaker 1: Bozell are here. So what is your take on all this, Steve?
- 16:44Speaker 3: My take is that baseball, just as you said, baseball
- 16:47Speaker 3: has lost its appeal. People don't like it.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Now, what about the attendance? I was going to say,
- 16:52Speaker 1: what are the attendance? The Dodgers still pull over $ 3
- 16:56Speaker 1: million a year.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Don't they? Yeah, you know, I guess the in-stadium attendance
- 17:02Speaker 3: is good, but you look at some teams like the
- 17:04Speaker 3: Miami Marlins, they can't draw a dead man. They wouldn't
- 17:10Speaker 3: be able to draw flies. If they were dead, if
- 17:13Speaker 3: the Miami Marlins came out and collapsed dead on the
- 17:16Speaker 3: field and began to stink and rot, they couldn't attract flies.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Well, all right, so Miami's a different story. It rains
- 17:27Speaker 1: in the summertime. It's a difficult thing to go see
- 17:29Speaker 1: a baseball game.
- 17:29Speaker 3: They've got a dome stadium. You know what?
- 17:31Speaker 1: That dome stadium thing only goes so far. You've still
- 17:34Speaker 1: got to get in the car and drive in the
- 17:35Speaker 1: damn pouring rain. to go into the stadium, watch it,
- 17:39Speaker 1: then come out, get in your car, and drive in
- 17:41Speaker 1: the damn pouring rain. Who wants to do that?
- 17:45Speaker 3: Well, I mean, God.
- 17:47Speaker 1: You know, Phil's got a point. So what about the
- 17:50Speaker 1: idea that baseball is just a slow, boring game?
- 17:54Speaker 3: I don't find it slow and boring. I find it
- 17:56Speaker 3: very American. And I'll tell you what, if it's gotten
- 17:59Speaker 3: to the point now where when you say, hey, everyone,
- 18:02Speaker 3: let's go to a baseball game, and they look at you,
- 18:06Speaker 3: like they're zombies, and all of a sudden they go
- 18:09Speaker 3: from vibrant, happy people, and you say baseball and death,
- 18:15Speaker 3: and their insides begin to rot, and they begin to stink,
- 18:20Speaker 3: and you go, man, you people are dead.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Okay, so you're saying that baseball did this to your crew?
- 18:29Speaker 3: Yes, yes. I'm saying that the mere mention of baseball...
- 18:33Speaker 3: caused them figuratively to begin to stink and attract flies.
- 18:41Speaker 3: I'm asking you if you'll let me hang the phone up.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Well, Phil, what's the point of laughing? Steve, I'm sorry.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Yeah, you're sorry.
- 18:54Speaker 1: You're saying it because people, they hate baseball so much.
- 18:57Speaker 3: I don't even know if it's hatred. I'm just saying
- 19:00Speaker 3: that what they, you mentioned baseball. And living people who've
- 19:04Speaker 3: been alive and who have been playing with their children,
- 19:08Speaker 3: who've been going to the store, who've been planning their futures,
- 19:11Speaker 3: mention baseball, and suddenly they begin to bloat with internal gases,
- 19:17Speaker 3: attract flies, and stink like an open grave. Okay, I
- 19:23Speaker 3: got it. Steve. Mr. Henry, I've been around, you know,
- 19:28Speaker 3: I've been around a lot of ham handlers. But you
- 19:31Speaker 3: guys on this show, when you talk to me.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Stephen Bozell, ladies and gentlemen.
- 19:34Speaker 3: All right, yeah.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Another winner. Well, I don't know, man. I don't either,
- 19:40Speaker 1: and I think of all the ill-considered interviews. He called
- 19:43Speaker 1: up and he said, I thought it was a very
- 19:45Speaker 1: compelling story, you know.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Oh, really?
- 19:47Speaker 1: And why is that? Because of the fact... he went
- 19:50Speaker 1: into the office. He goes, yeah, everybody, it's baseball. And
- 19:53Speaker 1: the people just began to stink and rot from the inside.
- 19:55Speaker 1: What is this stink and rot from the inside? That's
- 19:58Speaker 1: the part that's killing me. Well, what basically he's saying
- 20:00Speaker 1: is baseball doesn't, it doesn't excite people anymore. Well, I
- 20:06Speaker 1: don't know.
- 20:06Speaker 3: I mean, you know.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Do you watch it?
- 20:08Speaker 3: Yes, I do.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I do watch baseball, and I do enjoy watching baseball.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I realize that makes me an old-timer. I come from
- 20:15Speaker 1: an era when baseball was really a lot of fun.
- 20:18Speaker 1: I come from an era when we had a great
- 20:20Speaker 1: team here in Los Angeles. Not that we don't now,
- 20:23Speaker 1: but the fact is, it's probably possible that people are
- 20:27Speaker 1: just moving on, man. You know, I don't... I've heard
- 20:31Speaker 1: them say that it's not an appealing game to a
- 20:33Speaker 1: younger generation that wants to see something that's much faster moving.
- 20:37Speaker 1: You look at hockey. I love hockey. You look at soccer. Well,
- 20:42Speaker 1: I don't know about the soccer thing. I do. I mean,
- 20:44Speaker 1: I go out to those games, man. LAFC pulling 20,000
- 20:47Speaker 1: for their games. They're packing them in. So there's Steve Bozell. Yeah,
- 20:53Speaker 1: and it's another crisis. The problem with him is, and
- 20:57Speaker 1: we didn't really get the story, is that his wife,
- 20:59Speaker 1: wanted to check him in. His wife wants to put
- 21:01Speaker 1: him into the nut bin because this guy is seeing things.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Now he says he wasn't literally seeing it. I think
- 21:08Speaker 1: with Steve, he gets so emotional and he gets so
- 21:12Speaker 1: perturbed and offended that he tries to reach for the
- 21:15Speaker 1: most extreme comparisons and metaphors to make his point. And
- 21:20Speaker 1: he does that with his wife and the poor woman
- 21:22Speaker 1: doesn't know whether to sit and listen very calmly over
- 21:24Speaker 1: a cup of coffee or call an ambulance. I'm Phil Hendry. Yeah,
- 21:29Speaker 1: all right. Jesus. Thank you.
- 21:34Speaker 3: All right. Yeah.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Next up, a very rare visit from Dr. Ed Elcott.
- 21:39Speaker 4: And I would like to see, personally, Phil, and I
- 21:42Speaker 4: know a lot of the listeners, would like to see
- 21:44Speaker 4: the Elcott the Next Step program resurrected here on the
- 21:47Speaker 4: Phil Hendry Show website.
- 21:48Speaker 3: All right.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Well, it is an interesting concept. I'm not going to
- 21:52Speaker 1: say we're going to do it yet, but we have Dr.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Ed Elcott from the Redeemer in Big Sur, California, next.
- 21:57Speaker 1: to talk about what's been going on with him and
- 22:00Speaker 1: he's been where. He's been going into some seminars. He's
- 22:04Speaker 1: had what they call a mind wiping.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he's had his mind wiped and he's been at
- 22:08Speaker 2: the cleaners, which are all Elcott the Next Step terms
- 22:13Speaker 2: for he's been in seminars trying to get a mind wiped.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Trying to get his mind wiped. Yeah, that's E-T-N-S, Elcott
- 22:21Speaker 1: the Next Step term. We'll talk to Dr. Ed Elcott
- 22:23Speaker 1: from Elcott the Next Step next on the World Famous
- 22:27Speaker 1: Phil Henry Show. The World Famous Phil Henry Show, brought
- 22:30Speaker 1: to you by the World Famous Phil Henry Show website.

- 23:14Speaker 1: World-famous Phil Henry Show with General Galen Shaw, Margaret Gray,
- 23:17Speaker 1: Bud Dickman, and myself, Phil Henry.
- 23:20Speaker 4: And we have on the phone here from Big Sur, California, Dr.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Ed Elcott. at the Redeemery up there.
- 23:27Speaker 3: And Dr.
- 23:27Speaker 7: Elcott.
- 23:28Speaker 1: He's in the bathtub. Yeah, he is.
- 23:31Speaker 3: All right, Dr.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Elcott is in the bathtub.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Dr. Elcott? Yes, I am in the bathtub. I apologize
- 23:38Speaker 3: for that film, but I was told by Mr. Dickman
- 23:42Speaker 3: that as long as you are given a heads-up on
- 23:44Speaker 3: these things.
- 23:44Speaker 1: No, that's fine. It's funny the number of people that
- 23:47Speaker 1: we have in bathtubs on this show.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I don't know anything about that, but we've had a
- 23:53Speaker 3: strenuous day... of seminars, of talking with some of the overlords,
- 23:59Speaker 3: and talking to some of our initiates, as well as novitiates. And,
- 24:05Speaker 3: of course, I have been here as a part of
- 24:08Speaker 3: an elevation. Sorry. And I'm going to ask one of
- 24:14Speaker 3: the initiates, Wilson Bonnevue, how are you? Could I get
- 24:18Speaker 3: some of that soap and that cloth right there? Thank you. And, ah.
- 24:25Speaker 1: And what we would ask if you is not to
- 24:27Speaker 1: use the hot water.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Well, I just, if you, Mr. Dickman said that just
- 24:32Speaker 3: one shot, one blast of hot water. Turn that on again, Wilson. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Okay.
- 24:44Speaker 1: That's the thing that... He said it one time.
- 24:47Speaker 5: Yes, Mr.
- 24:48Speaker 3: Dickman said one time would be fine.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Okay, so Dr. Elcott, sir, and great to have you
- 24:54Speaker 1: on the program. And I don't think we've talked to
- 24:56Speaker 1: you much on the show. I know that we've had
- 24:59Speaker 1: you on our website with Elcott the Next Step. Any
- 25:02Speaker 1: plans of bringing the show back?
- 25:05Speaker 3: Well, I think that would be up to the overlords
- 25:07Speaker 3: and up to how well I'm progressing. And what happened
- 25:12Speaker 3: was a series of setbacks.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Now, you say that you had what's called ego drip.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Ego drip is what?
- 25:20Speaker 3: Yes, ego drip is when I began to evidence interest
- 25:25Speaker 3: in things, interest in my life, wanting to write a book,
- 25:30Speaker 3: wanting to go on lecture tours. Forgive me, but wanting
- 25:35Speaker 3: to have the corporal life of having women.
- 25:41Speaker 1: So you wanted to be like a star or something?
- 25:44Speaker 3: I wanted more people to pay attention to me. as
- 25:50Speaker 3: opposed to paying attention to overlords and to overseers and
- 25:57Speaker 3: other people who were leapfrogging over me and were supposedly
- 26:04Speaker 3: don't have egos in Elkhart the Next Step, and yet
- 26:07Speaker 3: there were overlords like Beans Halberstam, who's four years old,
- 26:12Speaker 3: running around at one of the seminars. And I know
- 26:15Speaker 3: that I was told by Mr. Dickman earlier We didn't
- 26:18Speaker 3: want to be juvenile here, but I have to tell you,
- 26:21Speaker 3: when Beans Halberstam.
- 26:22Speaker 5: Now, Beans Halberstam is the daughter of a couple of overlords,
- 26:26Speaker 5: and they initiated her as an overlord, correct?
- 26:28Speaker 3: Yes, they did, and they did that because, you know.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Because she had influence.
- 26:34Speaker 3: She had two parents that were overlords. Now, she runs
- 26:37Speaker 3: around in one of the most sacred moments in Elkhart
- 26:41Speaker 3: the Next Step, when we are having our initiate training
- 26:44Speaker 3: and novitiate training... And she's running between people laughing and
- 26:49Speaker 3: cutting gas. What do you call the.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Breaking wind.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Yes, cutting gas and breaking wind. Breaking wind and doing that.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Little juvenile things.
- 27:03Speaker 5: Well, why don't you just ignore that? Yeah, she's just
- 27:05Speaker 5: a kid. Because, first of all, she should not be
- 27:08Speaker 5: in those areas. Now, one of the reasons why I've
- 27:11Speaker 5: opted to talk to you this evening, Phil, is because...
- 27:14Speaker 5: I have undergone so many levelings at the hands of
- 27:18Speaker 5: the overlords that you win a reprieve. You're allowed to
- 27:22Speaker 5: speak what is called the Big Bazoo. And the Big
- 27:26Speaker 5: Bazoo happens once or twice a year. Now, I did
- 27:29Speaker 5: open up on Twitter, and I was told by Overlord
- 27:34Speaker 5: Cookie Monster Munson... What is.
- 27:36Speaker 1: This Cookie Monster Munson?
- 27:38Speaker 3: I don't want to go through this again, Phil.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I'll explain later, General. It's... The names of the overlords.
- 27:43Speaker 3: All right, geez.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Got Lefty and Cookie Monster.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Well, this is Cookie Monster Munson who said, the big
- 27:50Speaker 3: bazoo is when you may speak your mind. Now, you
- 27:53Speaker 3: did tweet that, and I can read again what I tweeted,
- 27:58Speaker 3: under the auspices of the big bazoo rule.
- 28:01Speaker 1: The big bazoo rule. That means, it sounds like you've
- 28:05Speaker 1: got a big mouth.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Well, it's more than that, Ms. Gray. It's not intended
- 28:10Speaker 3: to entertain you or anyone else.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I don't think that it is, but it sounds.
- 28:15Speaker 4: So the Big Bazoo is a rule in Elkhart the
- 28:18Speaker 4: Next Step that allows you to speak your mind without
- 28:20Speaker 4: getting leveled.
- 28:22Speaker 3: That is correct, without getting leveled.
- 28:24Speaker 1: And the leveling, if a lot of you people listening
- 28:26Speaker 1: don't know what that is, it's.
- 28:28Speaker 3: What, bud?
- 28:29Speaker 1: It sounds like you're being electrocuted.
- 28:32Speaker 3: No, no, you're having your molecules rearranged. You could call
- 28:36Speaker 3: it an electrocution, but it's much, much more. It is
- 28:40Speaker 3: a pleasurable thing, and yet it makes you talk as
- 28:46Speaker 3: if you're taking a girder to the face, you know?
- 28:48Speaker 3: So you feel, you're not exactly in pain. It feels good,
- 28:54Speaker 3: but for about 30 seconds, your speech resembles that of
- 28:58Speaker 3: a man who has been hit in the face with
- 29:02Speaker 3: a metal pipe.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Oh, my God. What does that mean exactly?
- 29:08Speaker 3: I don't know how else to explain it.
- 29:09Speaker 1: All right, so the Big Bazoo, though, allows you to
- 29:12Speaker 1: express your opinion.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Yes, and I'm telling you now that when you've got
- 29:17Speaker 3: this punk kid, Beans Halberstam, who's running around, squeaking out these...
- 29:25Speaker 3: stinking up the novitiate room with her little kid farts,
- 29:30Speaker 3: and she's laughing because I heard a week ago Tuesday...
- 29:35Speaker 3: We were in the middle of a novitiate training, and
- 29:38Speaker 3: I heard her... Do we have the tape recording? Jerry's here.
- 29:42Speaker 3: Jerry Boutonnier. I have it here. Jerry, go ahead and
- 29:45Speaker 3: play that. Ha ha ha. La la la la la.
- 29:55Speaker 3: La la. Okay, that's the... Did you hear that, Phil?
- 30:02Speaker 3: You know something, Phil? If you want to put a
- 30:04Speaker 3: bellhop hat on me, strap a tail on me, get
- 30:08Speaker 3: an organ grinder to work with me for a half
- 30:10Speaker 3: of an hour... No, no, no. I just.
- 30:12Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Phil's got the giggles. I don't know what
- 30:15Speaker 1: his problem is.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Well, I didn't come on the program, Phil, for this
- 30:18Speaker 3: to become some sort of a disc jockey morning show bit.
- 30:22Speaker 3: where you can have, you know, get your figurative cookies,
- 30:27Speaker 3: your figurative comedy cookies, while I'm here in a great
- 30:31Speaker 3: deal of agony, even still the memory of that child,
- 30:34Speaker 3: while I'm trying to conduct a seminar.
- 30:36Speaker 1: All right, I understand, I understand. Look, your ego drip,
- 30:40Speaker 1: were you... And I realize that you've gone in for
- 30:43Speaker 1: cleansing because your ego drip, you know, there was too
- 30:46Speaker 1: much ego, right?
- 30:47Speaker 3: Yes, because I was sounding off about wanting to buy...
- 30:51Speaker 3: one of those Lamborghini SUVs. I told people that I
- 30:55Speaker 3: wanted to go on a book tour. I told people
- 30:57Speaker 3: that I wanted to have a girlfriend that had a
- 31:01Speaker 3: big pair of.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Oh, for God's sake.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Well, it.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Well, how do you feel about all of that?
- 31:08Speaker 3: I don't want any of that, really, Phil. It was
- 31:10Speaker 3: a moment of ego drip, a moment of self-abasement and
- 31:15Speaker 3: ego drip.
- 31:16Speaker 1: What does ego drip?
- 31:18Speaker 3: It means that you're letting ego drip back into your life,
- 31:22Speaker 3: where once we were able to get rid of it,
- 31:24Speaker 3: now it drip, drip, drips into my life.
- 31:27Speaker 1: So you want to have a girlfriend with a big
- 31:28Speaker 1: pair and a Lamborghini. All right. Dr. Ed Elcott is
- 31:34Speaker 1: my guest here on the Phil Henry Show. We'll take
- 31:37Speaker 1: some phone calls now. You see the number at the
- 31:39Speaker 1: bottom of your screen. Let's go over to Dave in
- 31:41Speaker 1: El Monte.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Dave, go ahead.
- 31:42Speaker 1: You're on the Phil Henry Show with Dr. Ed Elcott.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Dr. Elcott, I went to your seminar in El Monte
- 31:50Speaker 3: that you had in February. And do you recall that? Yes,
- 31:55Speaker 3: we had the Elcott the Next Step seminar there at
- 31:59Speaker 3: the Ralph's grocery store. Yes. I went into the grocery store.
- 32:05Speaker 3: I went to get a dozen lemons. I got some apples.
- 32:09Speaker 3: And then I saw you holding forth out on the sidewalk.
- 32:13Speaker 3: And I went over to you and I said, I
- 32:14Speaker 3: want to join Elkhart the next step. I want to
- 32:17Speaker 3: be a part of it. And you told me to blow.
- 32:20Speaker 3: You said, why don't you take your weak ass and blow?
- 32:24Speaker 3: And I was offended by that. I'm very sorry. And
- 32:27Speaker 3: it's one of the reasons why I'm here at Big
- 32:29Speaker 3: Sur at the Redeemer. You're taking a bath and I'm
- 32:32Speaker 3: here driving in a car with a wife and a
- 32:35Speaker 3: bunch of kids and I'm heading home. And then I
- 32:38Speaker 3: got to get up in the morning and go to work.
- 32:40Speaker 3: I don't exactly have a Lamborghini, and I don't have
- 32:42Speaker 3: a girlfriend with the big, the jig, the jig, the jig,
- 32:46Speaker 3: the jig, buy it, pair. I understand. I apologize. I
- 32:50Speaker 3: was in the middle of ego trip. You're in the
- 32:53Speaker 3: middle of ego trip. Well, you were disrespectful.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Hey, sir, Dave, it's Phil Henry. Was he, how disrespectful
- 33:01Speaker 1: was he?
- 33:01Speaker 3: Well, I asked him to sign my book. which is
- 33:05Speaker 3: the Alcott The Next Step Big Thick One pamphlet, and
- 33:09Speaker 3: he just scribbled, he just scribbled, it didn't even look
- 33:12Speaker 3: like a name, it was just a scribble. I apologize.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Well, maybe, was that your signature?
- 33:17Speaker 3: No, it was not my signature. I just doodled something
- 33:21Speaker 3: that made him think it was my signature. I apologize
- 33:24Speaker 3: to you, Dave. I'm here trying to make amends. Well,
- 33:29Speaker 3: I got to go home with a wife and kid
- 33:31Speaker 3: and get up in the morning. And all I got
- 33:33Speaker 3: is a squiggle on a big, thick one, you know?
- 33:36Speaker 3: What do you want me to do? I've apologized. Well, okay.
- 33:41Speaker 3: All right, well, goodbye, Dr. Elcott. It was great meeting
- 33:44Speaker 3: you that day at the Ralphs. All right, and remember
- 33:47Speaker 3: that Elcott, the next step, is about draining ego. When
- 33:51Speaker 3: you see someone who has too much ego, you realize, yeah,
- 33:56Speaker 3: like you. All right, you realize that that's not the
- 33:59Speaker 3: way you want to live your life. Okay? Goodbye. So what.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Do you think, Dr. Elcott?
- 34:11Speaker 3: I know that I have let a lot of people down,
- 34:14Speaker 3: and I am trying to make up for that by
- 34:17Speaker 3: going through the cleansing, by going through the different programs, initiate, division,
- 34:25Speaker 3: having the mind wiped. The mind wiping is very, very important.
- 34:28Speaker 1: I've heard of this mind wiping. What is that?
- 34:31Speaker 3: The mind wipe is a complete ego cleanse. And essentially
- 34:36Speaker 3: what the mind wipe is, is to rid the self
- 34:40Speaker 3: of any thought that there is any sexual attraction, that
- 34:45Speaker 3: you have any appeal to the opposite sex at all.
- 34:50Speaker 3: You remove your pants, forgive me, but this is, you
- 34:52Speaker 3: remove your pants and a number of the Elkhart the
- 34:56Speaker 3: Next Step banshees, which is what we call our nuns,
- 35:00Speaker 3: will sit and laugh for a period of 20 minutes,
- 35:04Speaker 3: pointing and laughing at your genitals.
- 35:08Speaker 1: That's what you... That's mind-wiping?
- 35:11Speaker 3: That's mind-wiping? Yes, Phil.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Why would you be cynical? Why are you being sarcastic, Doctor?
- 35:18Speaker 3: Why do you think I'm kidding?
- 35:21Speaker 1: We don't think you're kidding.
- 35:21Speaker 3: It's just.
- 35:22Speaker 1: So you take your pants off.

- 35:35Speaker 3: Yes, because that's what our nuns do. They haunt the dead.
- 35:39Speaker 3: They haunt the dead. They haunt the dead personality. They
- 35:43Speaker 3: haunt the dead attitude. They haunt the dead mind. They
- 35:47Speaker 3: haunt the dead intellect and chase all that death away.
- 35:51Speaker 1: And so they sit there.
- 35:52Speaker 3: There's five of them who sit in the chair. point
- 35:55Speaker 3: at your genitals, and laugh.
- 35:57Speaker 1: For how long?
- 35:58Speaker 3: For 20 minutes. 20 minutes to a half hour.
- 36:00Speaker 1: And that does what? So that's to humiliate you.
- 36:04Speaker 3: That's to say, you think you're all that? Well, you
- 36:08Speaker 3: ain't none of this. You know?
- 36:10Speaker 4: Okay.

- 36:20Speaker 3: a bathtub here. I got Wilson to pick up my soap.

- 36:27Speaker 3: day from hell. From hell. When I was trying to
- 36:33Speaker 3: give a seminar to some of our initiates, and a
- 36:35Speaker 3: four-year-old overlord, a status that I should have, ran through
- 36:40Speaker 3: the room squeezing out some of the most rank gas
- 36:45Speaker 3: God ever allowed to be created and then expelled from anyone.
- 36:50Speaker 3: This kid. This kid.
- 36:54Speaker 1: We've got Steve Bozell who sees dead people, and you've
- 36:57Speaker 1: got a four-year-old overlord farting.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Yep. There you have it. I just pulled a plug.
- 37:02Speaker 3: I went out of it. All right. Well, Dr.

- 37:33Speaker 3: next step, and they award me with overlord status. Otherwise,
- 37:38Speaker 3: I walk away from this shit.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Goddamn, Dr.
- 37:43Speaker 3: Elkhart.
- 37:44Speaker 1: The overlords are going to hear and be unhappy.

- 37:50Speaker 3: negativity from the Big Bazoo.
- 37:52Speaker 1: And the big bazoo is you.
