Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to a lily Pad production.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hello Lee Prugs, and welcome back to Fandemonium. We have
- 0:06Speaker 2: another brilliant episode for you this week. Before we get
- 0:10Speaker 2: into it, we tried something experimental with the microphone set
- 0:13Speaker 2: up here in the lily Pad studio, and like all
- 0:16Speaker 2: of our experiments as of late, it did not work.
- 0:19Speaker 2: But we learned a few new things, which is I
- 0:21Speaker 2: think what science is all about. Audra can say, I
- 0:26Speaker 2: don't know. Drew and Aaron sound fantastic, Audra and Ethan
- 0:30Speaker 2: sound middling, and I've got a bit of an echo
- 0:33Speaker 2: to my voice, But I don't think it's too annoying
- 0:36Speaker 2: to listen to. I think it's absolutely fine. It just
- 0:39Speaker 2: sounds like someone is recording my audio using a rock
- 0:44Speaker 2: band microphone in the middle of the table. In twenty
- 0:47Speaker 2: and eleven, i'll be back with a shout out for
- 0:50Speaker 2: our executive producers and a little bit of waffle at
- 0:52Speaker 2: the end. But I don't think I need to say
- 0:54Speaker 2: anything else.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Up top.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Buy tickets to our live show on April tenth. There's
- 0:58Speaker 2: a link in the show notes. It's gonna be pro
- 1:00Speaker 2: wrestling themed. It's going to be a blast. I cannot
- 1:02Speaker 2: wait to share the Pokemon Live show in two weeks time.
- 1:04Speaker 2: That was so much fun, But for now, please enjoy
- 1:07Speaker 2: our Resident Evil episode.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I'm not doing the voice.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome to Pandemonium, the pop culture game show
- 1:32Speaker 2: that shines the spotlight onto everyone's favorite fandoms. I'm your
- 1:35Speaker 2: games master and completely innocent parasol manufacturer Matt Watson. But
- 1:42Speaker 2: a game's master need yea, there's lots of references like that,
- 1:45Speaker 2: but a GamesMaster that needs games and games need players,
- 1:47Speaker 2: So please welcome.
- 1:48Speaker 3: First.
- 1:48Speaker 2: She is a podcaster and comedian who works in STEM,
- 1:51Speaker 2: which today stands for Shambling Terrors Eat Metal.
- 1:55Speaker 3: It's Audra Stevenson.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Oh my god, I feel flattered to finally be seen
- 2:00Speaker 4: as I am.
- 2:04Speaker 2: And he is an author, podcaster, and fellow games master,
- 2:08Speaker 2: and it sounds as though he's mastered all of the
- 2:10Speaker 2: Resident Evil games, which is fantastic news for Audra.
- 2:14Speaker 3: It's Aaron Randolph. Yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 5: I do have one question. Shambling terrors eat metal. They
- 2:21Speaker 5: don't eat metal, they eat people.
- 2:25Speaker 4: And that's pretty metal.
- 2:27Speaker 5: I mean, you could have said shambling terrors eat men,
- 2:31Speaker 5: or you know, if you didn't want to make it sexual,
- 2:33Speaker 5: I guess you could have I don't know.
- 2:35Speaker 3: I guess I guess I could have done.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I was going for an eat lead like you're shooting them. Oh, okay,
- 2:42Speaker 2: the phrase is eat lead, not eat metal.
- 2:44Speaker 6: Yeah, sometimes the people do be behind metal and you
- 2:47Speaker 6: gotta eat the metal to get through that, to eat
- 2:49Speaker 6: the people.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Okay, I'm being validated by one Resident Evil fan.
- 2:53Speaker 3: I'll out it.
- 2:54Speaker 7: Also, there has to be at least one raindom, mass
- 2:56Speaker 7: zombie or creature that has eaten metal at some point
- 2:59Speaker 7: in the franchise. Refuse to believe they have not reached
- 3:01Speaker 7: that level of making things up.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Maybe it'll come up.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Maybe they'll be around all about what have zombies eaten
- 3:08Speaker 2: throughout the Resident Evil franchise?
- 3:12Speaker 3: Aaron Ordra, how are you both doing fantastic?
- 3:15Speaker 4: Yes, I'm doing great. I'm so happy to be on
- 3:19Speaker 4: Aaron's team because I know he knows Resident Evil and
- 3:24Speaker 4: I'm here for a good time.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Excellent. So Audray Teket, you're not a fan of Resident Evil.
- 3:30Speaker 4: It's important to people who are important to me, and
- 3:35Speaker 4: that's so awesome.
- 3:37Speaker 2: It's been a while since we've had a classic. Audra
- 3:40Speaker 2: doesn't know anything about this, and let's find out what happens.
- 3:42Speaker 2: So this will be fun and Aaron, it's been mentioned
- 3:45Speaker 2: you are a resident Evil expert, can we say?
- 3:48Speaker 5: I guess you can say that I have consumed I think,
- 3:52Speaker 5: all of the games and beaten them with the with
- 3:55Speaker 5: one loan exception, Resident Evil Revelations, to which escaped me.
- 4:00Speaker 5: I played like an hour of it, but I never
- 4:02Speaker 5: actually finished it.
- 4:04Speaker 7: Fake fan, Yeah, yeah, yeah, I guess exclusively on that
- 4:08Speaker 7: game as of now. Go.
- 4:09Speaker 6: Yeah, I bet you don't even like Parasol manufacturers.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Not a fan genuinely, but yeah, no, I I I'm
- 4:20Speaker 5: pretty big fan, although maybe not the biggest fan, as
- 4:24Speaker 5: you'll find out when we get to the muse section.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Okay, but I'm not going to spoil that yet. All right,
- 4:31Speaker 2: teasing and one of our format points. I love it, fantastic. Look,
- 4:36Speaker 2: I think you'll make an excellent team because it's the
- 4:39Speaker 2: classic Pandemonium pairing of.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Expert and ultra. Here for a good time, and we
- 4:48Speaker 3: love you for it.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Sweet Yeah, all right, Well you're about to run into
- 4:53Speaker 2: a rival duo of special agents who are also sent
- 4:56Speaker 2: to recover a deadly specimen small world. He is voice
- 5:00Speaker 2: actor and podcaster who for a year made a video
- 5:03Speaker 2: game movie adaptation podcast on this very feed, and based
- 5:07Speaker 2: on that, I'm sure he thinks every Resident Evil movie
- 5:09Speaker 2: is a five star classic.
- 5:11Speaker 3: It's Drew Shulman.
- 5:13Speaker 7: Hey, how's everybody doing. I mean the first two are
- 5:17Speaker 7: really fun end of sentence.
- 5:23Speaker 2: And he is an improviser, comedy educator, and theater owner
- 5:27Speaker 2: and his name is pretty relevant to this franchise. Please
- 5:31Speaker 2: welcome Jill Valence that No, that's not right. It's Ethan Goldman,
- 5:36Speaker 2: Resident Evil.
- 5:38Speaker 3: I just wanted to say it. I know, you know, Drew,
- 5:42Speaker 3: you're a voice actor. I kind of want to. I
- 5:43Speaker 3: kind of want to hear everyone say it. That's all
- 5:45Speaker 3: I want.
- 5:45Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, the old R two and it was only
- 5:49Speaker 7: I'm used to being really compressed unfortunately.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Resident Evil. Aaron, Resident Evil, excellent, Ethan, you gave us yours? Okay,
- 6:07Speaker 3: Resident Evil. I'm gonna be laughing while I'm yeah, I.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Do have access to like a really deep octave. And
- 6:23Speaker 4: I was like, I'm not gonna hurt myself. I was
- 6:26Speaker 4: gonna try try this within the realms of humanity.
- 6:29Speaker 3: For a second, I thought we were going to get
- 6:31Speaker 3: Jennifer Coolidge trying to kill me. Drew Ethan, Welcome back
- 6:39Speaker 3: to the podcast.
- 6:40Speaker 7: How are you both doing I've been doing good, doing good.
- 6:42Speaker 7: It's been a good year of episodes so far, and
- 6:44Speaker 7: I'm hoping to keep up a trend of continuing to
- 6:47Speaker 7: be okay at these ones.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a good year for you.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm doing great, having fun, doing improud things, enjoining,
- 6:54Speaker 6: doing podcasts. Medium amount of Resident Evil also, if that.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Matters, absolutely, like medium amount of Resident Evil? Would you
- 7:04Speaker 2: say you're a fan of you played a bunch of
- 7:05Speaker 2: the games?
- 7:05Speaker 6: Yeah, I think I've played all the mainline games to
- 7:08Speaker 6: completion except six.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Because I gave up on it. Smart Yeah, smart. Yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 7: As alluded to earlier, for me, it really was the movies,
- 7:18Speaker 7: and really specially the first two. I think I've seen
- 7:20Speaker 7: a few more since then, and they kind of all
- 7:22Speaker 7: blurred together into an abstract brown blob of I wish
- 7:25Speaker 7: I hadn't seen that. But I've played Resident Evil too,
- 7:28Speaker 7: I think like eight times at this point.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Just look at that one original remake, Oh the original dude.
- 7:37Speaker 7: Camera, I had nightmares about those dogs for years.
- 7:43Speaker 2: That seems to be a common thing. I saw a
- 7:45Speaker 2: lot of people talking about that.
- 7:46Speaker 7: Oh yeah, no, they went real far there on that one.
- 7:49Speaker 7: I do also want to mention this is probably the
- 7:51Speaker 7: best fandom where STEM could have just stood for STEM.
- 7:53Speaker 7: I realized.
- 7:57Speaker 3: I didn't need to write that bad joke. Oh yeah,
- 8:02Speaker 3: great point.
- 8:04Speaker 2: But this sounds like a great team honestly, with the
- 8:06Speaker 2: balance of like movies and games, I both will come up.
- 8:09Speaker 6: So yeah, I was not aware that people watched the movies.
- 8:12Speaker 6: But it's going to one person hat.
- 8:16Speaker 7: Well, well, we'll have to wait till my MEU section
- 8:19Speaker 7: to talk more about that.
- 8:20Speaker 3: I guess.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Okay, teaser, this is so exciting. Stay tuned between this
- 8:26Speaker 2: copy and that. Okay, I just said okay and they
- 8:30Speaker 2: didn't continue.
- 8:33Speaker 5: Okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Now I gotta leave it all in. Okay, Teams, you've
- 8:42Speaker 2: just arrived at an abandoned manor village or city or whatever.
- 8:46Speaker 2: But you're going to need a way to identify each
- 8:49Speaker 2: other over the sounds of the mutated undead. So I'd
- 8:53Speaker 2: like each pair to come up with a resident evil
- 8:55Speaker 2: themed team name. Please, let's start with Ordra and Aaron.
- 8:59Speaker 3: What have you got? This is the one thing I
- 9:01Speaker 3: forgot to do.
- 9:05Speaker 5: Okay, I have I have. I have one idea that
- 9:09Speaker 5: I kind of like incredible.
- 9:11Speaker 4: The best I could come up with in the past
- 9:13Speaker 4: two seconds is resident weavils? You got competition.
- 9:18Speaker 5: It's kind of funny you would say that because my
- 9:21Speaker 5: idea was the we virus. We like, we're kind of
- 9:31Speaker 5: having fun.
- 9:32Speaker 8: We met like sall. No, no, I meant I thought
- 9:37Speaker 8: you meant like you before on the weed. I meant
- 9:42Speaker 8: the pseudo enjoyment. We almost a sarcastic we.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Yes, yes, we are about to have nineteen minutes of
- 9:49Speaker 3: sarcastic fun.
- 9:52Speaker 4: I love it for the layers how everyone heard it
- 9:55Speaker 4: and had a different interpretation and was right and wrong
- 9:59Speaker 4: at the same time.
- 10:00Speaker 3: That's art, baby, there was no wrong answer.
- 10:02Speaker 2: I love that justification. But is it because it's the
- 10:05Speaker 2: only option that you love.
- 10:06Speaker 4: It has one hundred percent of my support.
- 10:11Speaker 7: As opposed to all the other options that have zero percent.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Yes, yes, so unanimous. We're going with the wee virus.
- 10:18Speaker 2: How many e's would you like on that?
- 10:20Speaker 3: Or yeah?
- 10:21Speaker 5: Four sounds right, but it's but it's the w w
- 10:25Speaker 5: H E E E E Okay, okay, to.
- 10:29Speaker 7: Make clear, it should be like w H E E
- 10:33Speaker 7: capital but then two lowercase e's, so it's trailing off.
- 10:37Speaker 7: So it's like trailing off.
- 10:38Speaker 2: I kind of like that I got, y Yeah, perfect,
- 10:41Speaker 2: terrible for se O, but I.
- 10:42Speaker 7: Got hopefully ours will make it better.
- 10:49Speaker 2: So let's find out we've got the wee virus and
- 10:51Speaker 2: they are facing Ethan Drae.
- 10:54Speaker 3: You got anything even? Sure? Sure?
- 10:56Speaker 6: So I thought about leon Kenna. D's always a classic
- 11:05Speaker 6: solid you can also do Chris Red feel these nuts.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I'm sensing a theme. What do you else do you have?
- 11:14Speaker 6: You're not going to believe this, but raccoon titty.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Theme dance.
- 11:22Speaker 7: Okay, those are the three ones that I thought of.
- 11:24Speaker 7: I went for the low hanging fruits. It's always fun
- 11:27Speaker 7: to get it out there, but the foreign heroes instead
- 11:29Speaker 7: of the resident evils. I also, I'm also a fan
- 11:34Speaker 7: of taking an established acronym making it worse, so we
- 11:37Speaker 7: could be stars sucking terribly at responding smartly. Oh that's
- 11:43Speaker 7: that's I figure, we're too bros. And you know they
- 11:47Speaker 7: have Nema cis. Why don't we be Nema bros. That
- 11:50Speaker 7: was terrible and I don't like that one, but I
- 11:53Speaker 7: thought of it. I wrote it down so fast because
- 11:56Speaker 7: I'm so much more in love with Possumville. Like Possumville
- 12:02Speaker 7: and then he's all the fans of Resident Evil who
- 12:06Speaker 7: are clearly waiting for it to come up. I do
- 12:08Speaker 7: have the double D virus or just here for the
- 12:11Speaker 7: zombie tits, just straight up, just here for the zomb
- 12:14Speaker 7: that's the name, just half of the zombie tits. Yeah,
- 12:17Speaker 7: there's no joke, it's just it's what we're all here for, genuinely,
- 12:19Speaker 7: bat And then I think yelling zombie tits in the
- 12:25Speaker 7: quick fire round just sounds so much fun.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, Ethan, do you do you like any
- 12:31Speaker 2: of those as an option?
- 12:33Speaker 3: Drew, do you like any of Ethans? What do you
- 12:34Speaker 3: think we're going with him?
- 12:36Speaker 7: I mean mine are stupider, So they are these nuts
- 12:39Speaker 7: jokes which are golden And then I imagine probably good
- 12:42Speaker 7: for probably.
- 12:44Speaker 3: I'm sure it depends who you want to find. Yeah,
- 12:50Speaker 3: and we want the zombie tit crowd. Yeah, let's go
- 12:52Speaker 3: to zombie tits. I think that's just here for the
- 12:54Speaker 3: zombie tits.
- 12:55Speaker 6: Yeah, here for the zombie tits. How many eyes can
- 12:58Speaker 6: we have in tits tits with the zohoo? Just wait
- 13:04Speaker 6: word for god's sake?
- 13:06Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we lost what was good? Fantastic?
- 13:10Speaker 2: Okay, So we have the wee virus versus heir for
- 13:13Speaker 2: the Zombie Tits.
- 13:16Speaker 3: I liked how wholesome your sounds.
- 13:20Speaker 7: That's the sound you make when you play with the
- 13:22Speaker 7: zombie Tits. We are virus.
- 13:28Speaker 3: But what a final few moments, all right? I mean?
- 13:31Speaker 2: And if you if you're listening to this and thinking,
- 13:34Speaker 2: is this the one with the sad lesbians, don't worry
- 13:37Speaker 2: his drew with a little segment we like to call
- 13:39Speaker 2: passing Knowledge.
- 13:41Speaker 7: Resident Evil, or as it's known originally in Japan, Biohazard,
- 13:44Speaker 7: is an action horror game from Capcom released on PlayStation
- 13:47Speaker 7: in nineteen ninety six. The world was introduced to the
- 13:50Speaker 7: franchise and the birth of the survival horror genre as
- 13:52Speaker 7: a whole. Resident Evil has told it stories of evil
- 13:55Speaker 7: scientific organizations building bioweapons and releasing said bioweapons, leading to
- 14:00Speaker 7: the zombie outbreak, left to you, often a member of Stars,
- 14:03Speaker 7: to clean up the mess and save the world. Or
- 14:05Speaker 7: maybe it's a weird fungus giving people psyche powers, or
- 14:08Speaker 7: an ancient plague and you're a cop or a college student,
- 14:11Speaker 7: maybe whatever. While the specifics may vary from game to game,
- 14:15Speaker 7: or movie or book or comic, or one of the
- 14:18Speaker 7: three official fucking Resident Evil stage plays that exists, and
- 14:21Speaker 7: are licensed. Just putting it out there anyways. If you're
- 14:25Speaker 7: ready to hoard some ammo and green herbs while seeking
- 14:28Speaker 7: a weird amulet to open a fountain in a mansion
- 14:31Speaker 7: while you deal with the most tanky controls and poor
- 14:33Speaker 7: camera placements, ever, then all the power to you.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Me.
- 14:36Speaker 7: I'm a hunker down here in place and fandemonium.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Yes, thank you so much Dream for catching us up
- 14:41Speaker 2: on Resident Evil.
- 14:44Speaker 4: So glad that you had one prepared. I did not
- 14:46Speaker 4: write a passive knowledge for this. I was planning to
- 14:50Speaker 4: do it in post. Drew, you did phenomenal. Matt. Are
- 14:53Speaker 4: you trying to replace me? I need answers?
- 14:57Speaker 3: You want to have this discussion on it? H I do?
- 15:01Speaker 4: I want you to be honest with you, That's what
- 15:03Speaker 4: I wants.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Just such a great job. But law episodes and.
- 15:08Speaker 4: Drew you're so good, You're so Matt. What's your fucking problem?
- 15:16Speaker 3: Well we'll talk. We'll talk of air, Yes, we absolutely will.
- 15:21Speaker 3: I Yeah, Drew, your.
- 15:24Speaker 7: Thank you, dear. I can never replace you. Weird question?
- 15:27Speaker 7: What brand of glasses do you wear?
- 15:29Speaker 3: Again? Just asking?
- 15:33Speaker 4: I'll send you the link.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Are you and Drew still good?
- 15:39Speaker 5: Starting to feel like I want to cut a bit,
- 15:41Speaker 5: you stay away from my teammate.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Eat Metal. Oh fantastic, Thank you so much, Drew. Sorry.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Just before we get to today's games, I've asked each
- 15:56Speaker 2: player to bring in a muse that's something that inspires
- 15:59Speaker 2: them or something they love from this particular fandom. Resident
- 16:02Speaker 2: Evil is inspiring to me because apparently you can just
- 16:05Speaker 2: make the same thing over and over again as long
- 16:07Speaker 2: as you remember to reskin it. Just to delete my
- 16:10Speaker 2: notes for rom coms and cryptids here, at.
- 16:15Speaker 7: Least skinning here is a little more literal.
- 16:18Speaker 3: That's yeah, that's true. That's true. I don't tear anyone's
- 16:21Speaker 3: human flash off.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Yeah, Aaron, let's start with you. What's inspiring you from
- 16:28Speaker 2: the world of Resident Evil.
- 16:30Speaker 5: Mine was the worst, but you tried, but you tried well.
- 16:36Speaker 5: But I like Jennifer Coolidge better. So yes, I as I,
- 16:41Speaker 5: as I hinted. While I do declare myself a big
- 16:45Speaker 5: fan of Resident Evil, I feel like that's not entirely true.
- 16:49Speaker 5: Like I've played all the games and we got this
- 16:52Speaker 5: new one coming out, Resident Evil Requiem. I don't have
- 16:56Speaker 5: it pre ordered. I don't it's it's out now. I
- 16:59Speaker 5: don't have it. Like I'm just I could not give
- 17:02Speaker 5: a shit for some reason, and I think I realized,
- 17:04Speaker 5: especially over the past month when I played a lot
- 17:07Speaker 5: of survival horror games that weren't Resident Evil, that maybe
- 17:11Speaker 5: I'm not actually as big a fan of evil as
- 17:13Speaker 5: I thought, which made me realize how ashamed I was
- 17:19Speaker 5: that I had bought this Resident Evil three Nemesis standy nice,
- 17:25Speaker 5: pretty sweet, several Resident Evil novels, and all of the
- 17:34Speaker 5: Resident Evil board games, all of them, all of them.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Wait, I missed those board games.
- 17:40Speaker 7: Yes, they're terrible, They're uniformly terrible.
- 17:44Speaker 5: They're awful. Do not waste your money like I have
- 17:48Speaker 5: wasted mine. The only one that's halfway good is Resident
- 17:52Speaker 5: Evil Deck Building, and even then it goes on a
- 17:54Speaker 5: bit too long. But yes, these ones, the ones with
- 17:58Speaker 5: Mini's these are awful. They're way too hard, way too
- 18:02Speaker 5: hard to play, honest to God, but.
- 18:05Speaker 3: A lot of tie in boet games.
- 18:06Speaker 5: I have just realized that, despite my despite my middling
- 18:11Speaker 5: feeling about resid Evil as a series, that I have
- 18:13Speaker 5: spent so much money on it. So I guess my
- 18:18Speaker 5: muse would be money.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Guilt always great to be inspired by the guilty feelings
- 18:24Speaker 2: that money gives us.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Yep.
- 18:26Speaker 5: This, this, this franchise has given me so middle and
- 18:30Speaker 5: I have given it so much.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Well, let's see if we can increase the muchness of
- 18:37Speaker 2: the franchise.
- 18:38Speaker 5: I mean, fingers crossed, I'm looking forward to having a
- 18:40Speaker 5: great time today, so let's do this.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and I do genuinely love the observation because I'm
- 18:45Speaker 2: the same with a couple of other propheties where it's like,
- 18:47Speaker 2: am I a fan of this or have I just
- 18:49Speaker 2: been around it?
- 18:50Speaker 7: My entire life looks around room full of some thousands
- 18:54Speaker 7: of dollars of destiny merch.
- 18:55Speaker 3: What are you talking about?
- 18:57Speaker 7: It's still totally not going to be shut down at
- 18:59Speaker 7: all weeks.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe let's we won't pull on this threat as
- 19:04Speaker 2: a podcast. Thank you so much Aaron for sharing your muse.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Let's move on over to your the WEA Virus team mates.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I'm gonna say it like that every time. What's inspiring
- 19:17Speaker 2: you from this franchise you don't know a ton about, So.
- 19:20Speaker 4: I tried to get a general idea of this fandom. Now,
- 19:25Speaker 4: I love raccoons, So imagine the spark of joy that
- 19:31Speaker 4: I begin to feel when I hear that there's going
- 19:35Speaker 4: to be a city a whole city of raccoons, and
- 19:39Speaker 4: then imagine my rage when I discover there isn't no
- 19:46Speaker 4: furry little creatures, no cute little hands, nothing. So my
- 19:51Speaker 4: muse that will be driving me forward today is unbridled
- 19:56Speaker 4: rage at what has been promised me by the title
- 20:03Speaker 4: Raccoon City is a city with a distinct lack of raccoons.
- 20:09Speaker 6: Can I ask a follow up question just about what?
- 20:11Speaker 6: Tell me a little bit about your version of Raccoon City?
- 20:15Speaker 6: What does it look like? Is it like a fully
- 20:17Speaker 6: functioning city, but everyone's just raccoons?
- 20:19Speaker 3: What's the deal?
- 20:20Speaker 4: I think that humans and raccoons live in harmony. I
- 20:23Speaker 4: think that there's human sized houses, and then I think
- 20:26Speaker 4: there's adorable little raccoon sized houses that look like little
- 20:30Speaker 4: little like Woodland boroughs.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Taxes.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Of course they do is going to the roads. The
- 20:38Speaker 4: roads require maintenance, and they are willing to pay their
- 20:43Speaker 4: share because they benefit from the communal services that we
- 20:47Speaker 4: have in my Raccoon City, little more communist.
- 20:54Speaker 7: I just imagine walking to a bodega and getting like
- 20:57Speaker 7: the most like New Yorker style raccoons than you. What
- 21:02Speaker 7: what he sound like? Just a little guy like this
- 21:05Speaker 7: being like you want a sandwich. You want to think
- 21:07Speaker 7: there's a sandwich, A good a naptune with you to
- 21:09Speaker 7: get down at. He got on the cuss.
- 21:12Speaker 4: Love it, and he is a responsible member of the community.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a.
- 21:18Speaker 7: Pillar and they have little hands. They could totally arm
- 21:20Speaker 7: themselves to fight zombies too.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Yes.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Yeah, So Resident Evil fans, there's not like a single
- 21:27Speaker 2: raccoon that even pops up as like a joke, like
- 21:28Speaker 2: an easterig or something.
- 21:30Speaker 5: I think in Resident Evil six, there's like a banner
- 21:33Speaker 5: like celebrating the president's arrival that has like a cartoon
- 21:38Speaker 5: raccoon on. Okay, that's the extent of it. I don't
- 21:41Speaker 5: think you ever see an actual raccoon.
- 21:43Speaker 4: So ranch justified great views, not enough, too little, too late.
- 21:49Speaker 5: Made up of the two most constructive emotions. I'm sure
- 21:54Speaker 5: it'll be the recipe for success.
- 21:56Speaker 3: I'm sure.
- 21:57Speaker 7: I think we're aiming for lust and anger over here.
- 22:01Speaker 3: We won't say which one is which.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Well, you are here for the zombie tits, so Ethan,
- 22:10Speaker 2: what's inspiring you from the world of Resident Evil?
- 22:14Speaker 6: So I've been I've been a fan for since since
- 22:17Speaker 6: early on, but the recent games have taught me that
- 22:20Speaker 6: if your name is Ethan. It's okay to cut your
- 22:23Speaker 6: hand a lot so doing all right on purpose, It's
- 22:29Speaker 6: just okay. I shouldn't have to feel bad when my
- 22:33Speaker 6: hands are covered in booboos and out cheese.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Yes, it could be worse.
- 22:37Speaker 6: It's okay to just sometimes, you know, if I need
- 22:41Speaker 6: to unclog my sink and I know the disposal button
- 22:44Speaker 6: isn't being pushed, but like, if my hand gets mangled,
- 22:47Speaker 6: it's gonna be fine.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Yeah. The game.
- 22:51Speaker 2: The games teach that you can just grab a first
- 22:53Speaker 2: aid kit and just wrap banded.
- 22:54Speaker 6: If your name is Ethan, you can just pour liquid
- 22:57Speaker 6: onto your open wounds.
- 22:58Speaker 5: Liquid you know what it is, ahead, and it'll be
- 23:04Speaker 5: by an entire green plant herb, and you'll totally recover
- 23:07Speaker 5: that injured hand. You also don't it doesn't matter where
- 23:10Speaker 5: the wound is. Get shot in the foot, pour it
- 23:12Speaker 5: on your hand, get a zombie mount on your neck,
- 23:14Speaker 5: pour it on your hand.
- 23:15Speaker 3: You'll be My hands are going to be so moisturized.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Oh fantastic, I mean, yeah, your hands they're looking solid.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Yeah, right now, give me a meat hook in a
- 23:27Speaker 3: couple of minutes.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Wait for ram two. Fantastic, very insiring. Yeah, I thought,
- 23:36Speaker 2: so fantastic. Let's move on to OVI to your teammate, Drew,
- 23:40Speaker 2: what's inspiring you from Resident Evil?
- 23:42Speaker 7: So, as I alluded to before, and as you did
- 23:44Speaker 7: bring up, I did do a year long project on
- 23:46Speaker 7: this very feed where you watched a bunch of video
- 23:49Speaker 7: game movies and reviewed them, and we did cover the
- 23:51Speaker 7: first two Resident Evils, and it reminded me that these
- 23:54Speaker 7: were like I think the first Resident Evil was legitimately
- 23:57Speaker 7: my gateway into the horror genre as a whole, and
- 24:01Speaker 7: to this day still one of my favorite film genre,
- 24:03Speaker 7: even TV genres. I love a good horror thriller, I
- 24:07Speaker 7: love the action genre, and I think that movie really
- 24:09Speaker 7: like was a great staple early on.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Was it a good Resident Evil movie?
- 24:14Speaker 2: Eh?
- 24:15Speaker 7: But I think it was a good entry level horror
- 24:17Speaker 7: movie that has led me to many other great horror
- 24:20Speaker 7: movie fines and even some other good horror games. I'm
- 24:23Speaker 7: not gonna sit here and defend the films. They definitely
- 24:25Speaker 7: didn't age well and they definitely have their issues, but
- 24:28Speaker 7: I will say a few standout moments, a few stand
- 24:31Speaker 7: out actors and characters.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Oh Deead.
- 24:33Speaker 7: If you happen to listen to this, it was nice
- 24:34Speaker 7: meeting you and you were fantastic and Resident Evil to again,
- 24:37Speaker 7: they were my gayway to horror as a genre, so
- 24:38Speaker 7: I gotta give it that at least.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a fair shout out. Yeah to recognize that.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Hmmm.
- 24:44Speaker 2: I like what's happening. But there's got to be something better, which,
- 24:48Speaker 2: if I.
- 24:49Speaker 7: Can actually spin it into Errands a little bit, there is.
- 24:51Speaker 7: I think it's this thing where it's like, yes, Resident
- 24:53Speaker 7: Evil as a whole has begun to let you down,
- 24:55Speaker 7: and you maybe feel like you put a little more
- 24:57Speaker 7: money into it than it deserves, but it's probably open
- 25:00Speaker 7: you up to other better horror games and the like
- 25:03Speaker 7: within that franchise or genre, or even film in other media.
- 25:07Speaker 5: I guess that's true. Without them, I wouldn't have played
- 25:09Speaker 5: them in US Tormented Souls one and two, Curse the
- 25:13Speaker 5: Eye of Isis. You know, on second thought, I could
- 25:17Speaker 5: have lived without those, So.
- 25:20Speaker 3: I mean I think I can.
- 25:22Speaker 7: I can say it probably gave us Dead Space, which
- 25:24Speaker 7: is probably one of the hands down best survival shooters
- 25:27Speaker 7: out there, So I will I will thank that one.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Okay, that's fair. Yeah, great news, Drew. It's a gateway
- 25:33Speaker 3: truck here you go.
- 25:37Speaker 7: Of all the drugs. The gateway one's the best one.
- 25:40Speaker 7: Oh yeah, t virus right there.
- 25:46Speaker 2: And with that, teams, we've just survived the helicopter crash.
- 25:50Speaker 2: So it's time to delve further into the facility as
- 25:53Speaker 2: we shamble into round one. Round one is our classic
- 26:00Speaker 2: game of elimination, deliberation, and deception that this time we're
- 26:04Speaker 2: calling bio hazards. I will name a category and then
- 26:08Speaker 2: offer each team a list of five things supposedly from
- 26:11Speaker 2: that category. Three will be correct answers and two will
- 26:14Speaker 2: be false. Teams will discuss and select correct answers one
- 26:17Speaker 2: by one for a point each, but select an incorrect
- 26:20Speaker 2: answer and they'll be frozen out of the list, like
- 26:23Speaker 2: the freezer room puzzle from Resident Evil four. That's that's
- 26:28Speaker 2: ken nice cool, all right, first one, nice and simple
- 26:32Speaker 2: officially licensed Resident Evil games. So these they could be mainline,
- 26:37Speaker 2: they could be spin off, but officially licensed Resident Evil games.
- 26:42Speaker 2: And we are going to begin with the wee virus.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Here is your list of five go for it, Resident Evil, Code, Veronica,
- 26:52Speaker 2: Resident Evil, Dead Aim, Resident Evil Go, Resident Evil Assault,
- 26:58Speaker 2: The Nightmare, and bio Hazard Operation dark Side.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Those are your five.
- 27:04Speaker 5: I think it's the first two in the last one,
- 27:08Speaker 5: so well, I know for a fact, I know for
- 27:11Speaker 5: a fact that Resident Evil. I can't remember what the
- 27:14Speaker 5: first one was, but Resident Evil Dead Aim is one
- 27:16Speaker 5: hundred percent correct.
- 27:17Speaker 3: I owned that, and I.
- 27:19Speaker 4: Remember maybe I remember from my fifteen minute timeline video
- 27:24Speaker 4: that I watched to become literally any frame of reference.
- 27:28Speaker 4: I do think I remember the first one, Code Veronica.
- 27:32Speaker 4: All lock that one in first points please.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Yeah, sort of like removing all of the facade that
- 27:38Speaker 2: this is a podcast where you can have a bit
- 27:40Speaker 2: of witty discussion. Yeah, those top two Resident Evil, Code
- 27:45Speaker 2: Veronica and Resident Evil Dead Aim if you go in
- 27:47Speaker 2: one and two for those two points both correct.
- 27:51Speaker 5: The like Lake Gun Shooter for the Wei. No, it
- 27:54Speaker 5: was for the PS two Wow. Okay, yeah it was terrible.
- 28:00Speaker 7: But a main consule, that's a that's a problem.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah it was. It was ship.
- 28:09Speaker 2: So the remaining three just for the game. Yeah, we
- 28:12Speaker 2: got Rest and Evil go. Can I not tempt you
- 28:15Speaker 2: with that? Rest and Evil Assault, the Nightmare and Biohazard
- 28:20Speaker 2: Operation dark Side.
- 28:22Speaker 5: So I don't know mobile titles all that well, So
- 28:25Speaker 5: either a three or four could be correct, But my
- 28:28Speaker 5: gut is telling me Biohazard Operation dark Side is the
- 28:31Speaker 5: Japanese name for Resident Evil.
- 28:33Speaker 4: The dark Side chronicles, basing off of things from Drew's
- 28:37Speaker 4: Incredible Passing Knowledge monologue. I feel comfortable going with that.
- 28:42Speaker 2: All right, let's let's take a shot going bio Hazard
- 28:46Speaker 2: Operation dark Side. No, I made that one up off
- 28:50Speaker 2: of that game that you referenced, Yes.
- 28:53Speaker 5: Amazing, correct title? You was it Assault the Nightmare.
- 28:58Speaker 3: It wasn't daed Assault the Nightmare. Yes, if I had
- 29:01Speaker 3: one of those two, it was gonna be one of those. Yeah.
- 29:03Speaker 7: I'm just gonna say there was a weird span of
- 29:06Speaker 7: I think Square iOS and a few other companies did
- 29:09Speaker 7: do a bunch of like mobile like puzzle games based
- 29:11Speaker 7: off their franchises. So there is a Laric Croft Go. Yeah,
- 29:15Speaker 7: there's a.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Hit Man Go.
- 29:18Speaker 7: Really good game. Actually I met, I met the guy
- 29:20Speaker 7: who made it. Phenomenal game. He was great. So I
- 29:23Speaker 7: was like, there might be Evil Go. That'd be fucking sick.
- 29:29Speaker 2: But they didn't put two out three points.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Pretty good. We'll take the pretty good.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Oh yes, okay, let's have a list of officially licensed
- 29:36Speaker 2: games for here for the Zombie Tits together, Imperial five
- 29:43Speaker 2: officially licensed games. Resident Evil zero, Resident Evil Survivor three,
- 29:50Speaker 2: Code Veronica, Resident Evil, Operation Raccoon City, Fever, bio Hazard
- 29:56Speaker 2: Revelations two in all caps, and Resident Evil Run Get Out.
- 30:02Speaker 7: I'm fairly confident in Resident Evil zero. I didn't even
- 30:06Speaker 7: have like the zero in the logo instead of the.
- 30:08Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I would say, we can lock that one.
- 30:11Speaker 6: And I know that's that's real.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Locking in Resident Evil zero. Yes, it is indeed real.
- 30:15Speaker 7: And I know there are a bunch of other Code Veronica.
- 30:18Speaker 7: I know there's just like re Code Veronica. So I'm
- 30:20Speaker 7: not sure if that one's like a fake out or
- 30:22Speaker 7: also one of the Code Veronica games.
- 30:23Speaker 3: I'm not sure.
- 30:24Speaker 6: I know I think Operation Raccoon City, that's that's ringing
- 30:30Speaker 6: some bells.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Also in my.
- 30:31Speaker 7: Same it sounds familiar like I've definitely seen that one before.
- 30:35Speaker 7: So if none of the other ones are really like
- 30:37Speaker 7: pequking our interest, I'm okay logging that one in.
- 30:39Speaker 6: Yeah, let's let's go with that first, maybe going operation please.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Just give me a raccoons please.
- 30:51Speaker 2: I cannot give any of you raccoons, but I can
- 30:54Speaker 2: give you a point for that because it is correct.
- 30:56Speaker 7: Yes, and can we get a rehash? Are you remaining.
- 31:01Speaker 6: Yeah, can we get a Resident Evil rehatch of the remaining.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Absolutely, you have Resident Evil survive A three, Code Veronica
- 31:10Speaker 2: Fever Bio Hasard Revelations too, and Resident Evil run get Out.
- 31:15Speaker 7: I'm pretty okay saying run get Out is probably the
- 31:18Speaker 7: fake one.
- 31:19Speaker 6: I think, Yeah, I do something about I kind of
- 31:22Speaker 6: hope that the all caps Fever one is real.
- 31:25Speaker 7: And he wouldn't put two fake bio hazards in a
- 31:28Speaker 7: row for meta gaming with Matt here, I'm.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Sure he would, but but yeah, I don't know.
- 31:36Speaker 6: It's it's a toss up for me between that and
- 31:38Speaker 6: the the Code Veronica Bloody Bloody blah blah.
- 31:41Speaker 7: Yeah, Survivor three. Like, I don't like it. They don't
- 31:44Speaker 7: line up in my head, Like I know, like I
- 31:46Speaker 7: could see the Survivors like Tagline, maybe even multiple of them,
- 31:49Speaker 7: but like, I feel like Code Veronica has its own thing,
- 31:52Speaker 7: So like, let's go for bio Hazard.
- 31:55Speaker 3: Yeah, Fever bio Hasard revelations too.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Yes, the one three for three, Yes, that is it
- 32:02Speaker 2: is a officially licensed Pachinko machine.
- 32:06Speaker 7: Oh, oh my god, the list of things this company
- 32:10Speaker 7: has made for this franchise. I thought I thought I
- 32:13Speaker 7: was all away with the fighting stage plays, really hoping
- 32:16Speaker 7: you were going to fall for the Survivor three Code
- 32:19Speaker 7: ronic because I know there is a Resident Evil gun
- 32:22Speaker 7: Survivor II code Veronics.
- 32:24Speaker 3: Yeah. I went game.
- 32:29Speaker 2: And no one falling for Run Get Out, even though
- 32:31Speaker 2: that's what all of the games are.
- 32:32Speaker 3: A bad.
- 32:35Speaker 6: You mentioned a couple of the like mobile games, and
- 32:37Speaker 6: I'm just trying to rack my brain around what you
- 32:40Speaker 6: think the like mobile game currency is for a resident
- 32:44Speaker 6: Evil game, like instead of instead of crystals or whatever,
- 32:47Speaker 6: you have to pay.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Yes, for a hundred brains? What to steal?
- 32:58Speaker 2: You need one hundred brains for one ale?
- 33:00Speaker 7: Yeah, you need three T viruses to get a Z virus.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Oh, good stuff, three out of three points there. Let's
- 33:09Speaker 2: let's have another category. Yes, let's do it. Okay, this
- 33:13Speaker 2: time it's Resident Evil enemies, so named enemies in the
- 33:17Speaker 2: Resident Evil games. And I believe I've not gone like
- 33:20Speaker 2: the enemies from the Pachinko Machine. I think it's like main.
- 33:23Speaker 4: Games track number one.
- 33:31Speaker 2: So back on over to the wee virus. Here are
- 33:34Speaker 2: your five named enemies. Globster, Meantma Ba, Back, Jumping Man, Eater,
- 33:42Speaker 2: and Scissor Tale.
- 33:43Speaker 3: We know the Crypti episode ago, right.
- 33:49Speaker 4: I know zero names and the only the only boss
- 33:54Speaker 4: or villain I remember is that Big Lady.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Big Ladies.
- 33:57Speaker 5: Good. Yeah, question, I was expect I was expecting villains
- 34:04Speaker 5: and we got.
- 34:05Speaker 3: We got yet, like monster names, the villains are so
- 34:10Speaker 3: vis that's so obvious.
- 34:12Speaker 5: Typically the monster names are not well. I mean, some
- 34:15Speaker 5: of them are, like you can read the names in
- 34:16Speaker 5: the files in the games. But otherwise, man, where did
- 34:19Speaker 5: you pull these from.
- 34:21Speaker 3: The official Resident Evil wikie?
- 34:23Speaker 5: No, they must have sent you to some niche stuff
- 34:26Speaker 5: because damn all again. Okay, no, don't don't. For some reason,
- 34:33Speaker 5: I'm reaching towards Scissor Tail. There was a scorpion like
- 34:36Speaker 5: boss in Resident Evil the Dark Side Chronicles that I
- 34:40Speaker 5: remember fighting, so Scissor Tail sounds like that could be
- 34:43Speaker 5: his name. That I have literally nothing else to go on.
- 34:48Speaker 4: But it mapping onto something that you remember for me.
- 34:53Speaker 7: Let's go.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Let's go for Scissor. Are we wrong right off the bat?
- 34:58Speaker 3: You are correct? Yeah? For a point? An enemy from
- 35:01Speaker 3: Rest and Evil Outbreak.
- 35:03Speaker 5: Oh, from Outbreak. Okay, I played those, but I have
- 35:06Speaker 5: no idea what the enemies are.
- 35:07Speaker 3: Called, Like you said, they may just be in the
- 35:10Speaker 3: game file on.
- 35:13Speaker 5: Fire we might have to just go random with these
- 35:15Speaker 5: other four. I got nothing.
- 35:18Speaker 4: I loved the name of the first one, the glob.
- 35:21Speaker 3: You globster, globster, globster?
- 35:25Speaker 5: You want to go with that? Just for funis we're
- 35:30Speaker 5: here to have fun. Let's have some.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Fun fun, Let's lobster. Listen to a few Durama episode.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Globster is a great answer, because it's what the point
- 35:46Speaker 2: my god revelations.
- 35:50Speaker 4: I voted with my hope and it works, all.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Right, And now a gloopy gummy lobster it kind of
- 35:57Speaker 3: looked like it.
- 35:58Speaker 5: Yeah, well, all right, then let's have some fun with
- 36:02Speaker 5: the remaining three.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Just could remind me of them. I know one was.
- 36:08Speaker 5: Yeah, now I kind of need to well no, I
- 36:10Speaker 5: jumping man Eater is kind of awesome. I kind of
- 36:12Speaker 5: want to go whether it's right or wrong. You got
- 36:14Speaker 5: me jumping money. It's the only one I could remember.
- 36:16Speaker 5: Let's go jumping three for three.
- 36:22Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, we should swings more often.
- 36:26Speaker 3: That was beautiful. Yeah, meantma.
- 36:31Speaker 2: I just made up because a lot of them seem
- 36:32Speaker 2: to be like animal plus like horrific things like miasthma,
- 36:35Speaker 2: like smell, and then the back is just an enemy
- 36:38Speaker 2: from Jack and Dax to the precursor.
- 36:40Speaker 7: Like, wait, we go back to my athma.
- 36:43Speaker 3: What is it? A mix of my asthma and and
- 36:45Speaker 3: an ant like my aunt, oh, my Auntma. Yeah, it's
- 36:50Speaker 3: like it's your aunt's name was Ma. That's my aunt. Yes,
- 36:56Speaker 3: well in some states that's where the tief I started.
- 37:01Speaker 3: All right, great stuff, three for three. Let's see.
- 37:03Speaker 2: How are your opponents fair with these not popular enemy names?
- 37:07Speaker 3: Apparently?
- 37:09Speaker 2: Okay, here is the list of enemies four here for
- 37:12Speaker 2: the zombie tits. Don't know why I have to keep
- 37:14Speaker 2: checking the team name Corpus wrecks, pale Head below hard
- 37:22Speaker 2: Glasp and Whopper, you know at the beginning of the
- 37:25Speaker 2: brand before you read their list.
- 37:27Speaker 7: I was really excited because, in my attempt to find
- 37:29Speaker 7: silly names to make puns out of, I read the
- 37:32Speaker 7: wiki of all the enemy names, and there are some
- 37:34Speaker 7: weird ones. None of these are in a bell.
- 37:38Speaker 3: Zero.
- 37:38Speaker 7: I remember there was a nose Faratu for some fucking reason.
- 37:41Speaker 7: That's all I got.
- 37:44Speaker 6: I am as someone who's got a pale head, I am,
- 37:49Speaker 6: but I am in the same boat. None of those
- 37:51Speaker 6: sound like anything I would have seen outside of digging.
- 37:56Speaker 3: Around in the bios of the game. Yeah, glad, I'm
- 38:00Speaker 3: presenting a I.
- 38:01Speaker 7: Mean, what we have in front of us. I'm fine
- 38:03Speaker 7: with pale Head.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Going with pale Head. Yeah, let's get knocked the fuck
- 38:07Speaker 3: out right out of the way.
- 38:09Speaker 2: We could be repeating a pattern here, because Palehead is
- 38:11Speaker 2: correct from the Resident Evil three remax.
- 38:14Speaker 7: Okay, what was this first one?
- 38:15Speaker 3: Again? The first one was Corpus rex. That feels so lame, but.
- 38:21Speaker 7: Also like, isn't corpus a plant thing? And wasn't like
- 38:24Speaker 7: one of the games a weird like mutant plant? Bullshit?
- 38:27Speaker 3: There's mutant yeah, yeah, but it's.
- 38:30Speaker 7: Like a giant like plant that tries to eat you
- 38:32Speaker 7: like a t rex.
- 38:34Speaker 6: Oh, is there a giant maybe? Let's let's Corpus Audrey
- 38:43Speaker 6: two for the points.
- 38:44Speaker 2: This is unbelievable. Well, it's unbelievable because it's not happening.
- 38:47Speaker 2: It's not right, it's not right.
- 38:51Speaker 5: I was gonna say there was a giant plant in
- 38:52Speaker 5: the first resid eval, but I believe its name was
- 38:54Speaker 5: just plant forty seven that was on the list. I
- 38:58Speaker 5: remember that one playing forty two, yeah, because I remember
- 39:01Speaker 5: being of course they put a forty two in here.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Why wouldn't they bastards? Yeah.
- 39:07Speaker 2: The other two correct ones were Glasp from Resident Evil
- 39:10Speaker 2: Revelations to and Whopper from Resident Evil Sex, which.
- 39:14Speaker 3: You didn't wasp, Yes, I believe stuff. The other one
- 39:19Speaker 3: is just a cheap hamburger. What the fuck?
- 39:22Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 39:22Speaker 2: I think it's the the like the fast food zombies,
- 39:26Speaker 2: like the ones that like attack you in a fast
- 39:29Speaker 2: food diner.
- 39:32Speaker 3: They call them because I am so so good. That's smart.
- 39:38Speaker 6: And then.
- 39:41Speaker 3: And then blow Hard is a boss from Spiral the Dragon.
- 39:44Speaker 7: So you didn't any background for corpus racks was just you.
- 39:47Speaker 3: Just just throwing the kind of things that were on
- 39:50Speaker 3: the sing of corpses there.
- 39:52Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 39:52Speaker 3: Yeah, Oh doesn't mean you're right, but you know you
- 39:55Speaker 3: got one.
- 39:56Speaker 2: And considering this turned out to just not be popular
- 40:00Speaker 2: and Amazon just a random Wikipedia list.
- 40:01Speaker 3: Great success. Okay, we are going to finish.
- 40:05Speaker 2: With the category, and Aaron may have an advantage here
- 40:09Speaker 2: Resident Evil Published Media.
- 40:14Speaker 7: Turns around, reads the list behind him.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Got it?
- 40:18Speaker 2: So yes, we are going to start with the wee virus.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Here is your list of five Resident Evil Published Media,
- 40:24Speaker 2: Resident Evil Anti Virus, Resident Evil, Caliban Cove bio Hazard,
- 40:30Speaker 2: The Wicked North Sea, Resident Evil Fire and Ice and
- 40:34Speaker 2: bio Hazard Extinction, Rebellion as.
- 40:40Speaker 3: Quiet for way too long.
- 40:43Speaker 5: I am pretty sure that Resident Evil Caliban Cove is
- 40:47Speaker 5: one of the books.
- 40:49Speaker 4: Hell, yes, I'm I'm very jouf for that. I was
- 40:52Speaker 4: like trying to be I was trying in my mind
- 40:55Speaker 4: to be like what is reasonable, what feels reasonable? And
- 41:00Speaker 4: that was one of the five reasonable.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Well, I thank you for your honesty. Hell yeah, let's
- 41:09Speaker 3: go Caliban Cove. It is one of the books.
- 41:13Speaker 7: Yeah, I was almost certain it was like a Hardy
- 41:17Speaker 7: Boys title or something.
- 41:19Speaker 4: Okay, the Mystery of Crystal Cove is a Scooby Doo arc.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Maybe where my brain was going.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought it sounded very like Nancy Drew, Howdy boys.
- 41:32Speaker 7: When are we getting the Scooby Doo Resident Evil crossover?
- 41:34Speaker 7: I want that fucking show.
- 41:39Speaker 4: We can run?
- 41:40Speaker 3: Yes, and that feels relevant.
- 41:42Speaker 7: That's a useful skill. Scrappy infected with the T virus?
- 41:46Speaker 7: You know if you want to see that from.
- 41:48Speaker 2: The two thousand and one movie pretty much already.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Yeah, Okay, goops.
- 41:58Speaker 7: Simpson's bit with the no brains passed.
- 42:00Speaker 5: I don't have another one that I feel good about,
- 42:03Speaker 5: but I have one that I'm pretty sure is a
- 42:05Speaker 5: fake extinction rebellion I think is an eco protest group, yes,
- 42:12Speaker 5: and not a resident evil title.
- 42:15Speaker 4: I was. I was like fifty to fifty on that
- 42:18Speaker 4: one because I was like, what came first?
- 42:22Speaker 3: Did they name it after the.
- 42:25Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 42:26Speaker 5: Fire and Ice sounds ridiculous, which makes me want to
- 42:30Speaker 5: go with it. Yeah, But to be fair, the other
- 42:35Speaker 5: books that I know are Zero Hour and Oh these
- 42:38Speaker 5: are probably going to be on their list now that
- 42:39Speaker 5: I said it.
- 42:40Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no, I'm going to shut the hell up.
- 42:44Speaker 4: The Fire and Ice one Game of Thrones, so it's like.
- 42:51Speaker 5: I mean, it could be it could be a through
- 42:53Speaker 5: right to give it thrones. What was the fourth one?
- 42:55Speaker 5: Remind me of that one again?
- 42:57Speaker 2: That was Fire and Ice? But if it's the one
- 42:59Speaker 2: before that, it's Trial Hazards, the Wicked North Sea.
- 43:02Speaker 3: The Wicked North Sea.
- 43:04Speaker 4: What's the water situation?
- 43:07Speaker 5: Well, the several resident evils take place on ships or
- 43:12Speaker 5: giant cruise liners, so it's very reasonable. Anti varus feels
- 43:19Speaker 5: like a trap. Let's go with the Wicked North Ice,
- 43:23Speaker 5: the Wicked North Sea.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Yeah, that's correct. Yeah, great stuff. Another novel.
- 43:31Speaker 5: JA, So that just leaves if I'm we're tossing extinction
- 43:34Speaker 5: Rebellion that just leaves Anti Varus and fire and ice.
- 43:37Speaker 3: Mm hmmm.
- 43:38Speaker 5: Anti Varius genuinely feels like a trap, but it could
- 43:40Speaker 5: also be just that simple.
- 43:43Speaker 4: I think it's between the one that feels like a
- 43:45Speaker 4: trap and the one that feels like a trap for
- 43:47Speaker 4: a different reason.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Do you want to go with the fun one.
- 43:52Speaker 4: Let's go with the fun one. Let's go with the.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Fun Fire and Ice.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Please you go, Resident Evil, Fire and I. They've done
- 44:00Speaker 2: it again.
- 44:01Speaker 3: It's three. Oh my god, that was an official comic series,
- 44:07Speaker 3: sun bitches. Unbelievable.
- 44:09Speaker 4: Yeah, wow, John Snow just comes in there and starts hacking.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Zombies. That's insane, that would never happen.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Yeah, Extinction Rebellion was a trap for that exact reason.
- 44:24Speaker 2: They just sound like the title of a Resident Evil again.
- 44:29Speaker 2: And then yeah, Anti Virus just the simple Let's see
- 44:32Speaker 2: if I can trick you with just this sounds like
- 44:33Speaker 2: a basic novel.
- 44:35Speaker 4: Smarter than that.
- 44:36Speaker 3: Yeah, you got me all right?
- 44:37Speaker 2: Here for the zombie tits you already feel list of
- 44:39Speaker 2: five published media from the rest.
- 44:41Speaker 7: Of them, let's do it.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you have Resident Evil, the Umbrella Conspiracy, bio Hazard, Damnation,
- 44:52Speaker 2: Biohazard Heavenly Island, resident Evil Bloodlines and resident Evil City
- 44:58Speaker 2: of Death.
- 45:00Speaker 7: Only one rings a bell to me, and I don't
- 45:02Speaker 7: even know why, but I feel like I saw it somewhere.
- 45:05Speaker 7: Anything for you, Yeah, I mean some of those words
- 45:07Speaker 7: I've heard before, but it's not necessarily the right place
- 45:14Speaker 7: that would read these before.
- 45:16Speaker 3: And one of them they're dictionaries. Yeah, what's the one
- 45:20Speaker 3: that you might one? Wine is the.
- 45:22Speaker 7: Only one that for some reason is standing out. I
- 45:25Speaker 7: couldn't tell you why or for what is it because
- 45:27Speaker 7: of Vampire the Masquerade. I didn't know that game had
- 45:31Speaker 7: a subtitle. It does well, but then again, so did
- 45:35Speaker 7: the Fire and maybe there was banking on He's like
- 45:41Speaker 7: I was gonna get them with Vampire the Masquerade. Lore
- 45:44Speaker 7: Sure less there's one that you want to shoot for her?
- 45:48Speaker 6: No, No, there's nothing. They all could be a book,
- 45:54Speaker 6: that's the idea.
- 45:55Speaker 3: I mean.
- 45:55Speaker 7: The other thing too, is heaven the Island sounds so
- 45:57Speaker 7: fucking absurd that it's probably real. And then the vibe
- 46:00Speaker 7: beginning so far as we could just shoot that one
- 46:03Speaker 7: first and see what why am I shooting? The answers
- 46:05Speaker 7: yea metal eat Metal, Lovely Island on the island.
- 46:14Speaker 3: The Island.
- 46:15Speaker 2: Sure, sure, Yeah, this is honestly too weird for me
- 46:19Speaker 2: to make up.
- 46:20Speaker 3: Yeah, bio has it, heafn. The Island was a comic series. Yeah.
- 46:23Speaker 6: Captain also made Devil May Cry, Right, they could do
- 46:26Speaker 6: they do weird stuff exactly.
- 46:28Speaker 7: They definitely pull off the weird bullshit titles in Japan
- 46:31Speaker 7: with it like that.
- 46:32Speaker 3: What was the first one?
- 46:33Speaker 2: The first one was Resident Evil the Umbrella Conspiracy.
- 46:36Speaker 3: Oh, that sounds so fuck you.
- 46:40Speaker 7: It also sounds like such like a like a comic book, like, Oh,
- 46:43Speaker 7: we're gonna put it like a ten issue comic before
- 46:45Speaker 7: the next game, to like explain the backstory because we
- 46:47Speaker 7: didn't explain it well in the game.
- 46:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Bloodline.
- 46:50Speaker 7: Also, I know there's lots of things with like DNA
- 46:51Speaker 7: and like the virus was a cure for things. So
- 46:55Speaker 7: let's try you know what, let's try bloodlines. Let's sure
- 46:58Speaker 7: trust your instinct going with Resident Evil Bloodlines. Sorry, Drew,
- 47:03Speaker 7: your instinct is off today. It's not correct that one
- 47:06Speaker 7: is the generic sounding fake one. Damn.
- 47:09Speaker 2: And to be fair, so is City of Death, which
- 47:11Speaker 2: is the other fake one.
- 47:12Speaker 5: Yeah, that feels like a dirty trick considering there's a
- 47:15Speaker 5: book called City of the dead.
- 47:18Speaker 3: Yeah, City of.
- 47:30Speaker 7: Death is a doctor who thinks. I was like, oh,
- 47:31Speaker 7: I know, it's a doctor who thinks with a So.
- 47:34Speaker 3: There you go.
- 47:35Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, clearly the plan. Yeah, definitely we got you
- 47:41Speaker 7: got one. Yeah, the most you can get in one
- 47:42Speaker 7: of these rounds.
- 47:43Speaker 3: Right, I'm just waiting for Resident Evil Silent Hill. All right,
- 47:48Speaker 3: that's the end of round one.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Let's ask the intelligent Rebecca Chambers, who graduated with a
- 47:53Speaker 2: bachelor's in chemistry at age eighteen, to calculate the scores.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Then she immediately joined a swat team. That Korea path
- 48:00Speaker 2: just doesn't make any sense.
- 48:02Speaker 4: There are no jobs. If you just have you have
- 48:07Speaker 4: to start telling people it's applied math. You have to
- 48:10Speaker 4: start doing that.
- 48:11Speaker 5: Really, my theory on that is that Wesker was like
- 48:13Speaker 5: trying to backload the Stars team with people who could
- 48:16Speaker 5: potentially survive the mansion. So someone with Rebecca's skills would
- 48:21Speaker 5: be helpful. That sounds maybe too smart for Resident you
- 48:26Speaker 5: know what.
- 48:26Speaker 7: On second thought, You're right, always had like the most
- 48:31Speaker 7: unbelievably convoluted bullshit stories and they found a way to
- 48:35Speaker 7: like backdoor like what they actually meant was this, And
- 48:38Speaker 7: it's like super well thought out and like contrived, and
- 48:40Speaker 7: it's like, I guess, yeah.
- 48:43Speaker 6: I'm wondering if they just like comments online and we're like, yeah,
- 48:47Speaker 6: that's canon.
- 48:48Speaker 4: Hell yeah, strategy where every book is now can all right?
- 48:56Speaker 2: Par of those goes the wee virus eight points here
- 49:00Speaker 2: for the zombie tits are on five points.
- 49:03Speaker 7: It's a living that's one and a half.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Yeah, sorry, I thought you meant the five and I
- 49:14Speaker 2: don't know how many. I don't know how you count
- 49:16Speaker 2: you group them up.
- 49:23Speaker 3: Next is round two after these ads and tits.
- 49:26Speaker 2: You don't have to listen to these ads if you
- 49:28Speaker 2: follow us for for free.
- 49:31Speaker 3: I'm not going to change this read follow us.
- 49:33Speaker 2: On Patreon at patreon dot com Forward slash Gate Leapers.
- 49:36Speaker 2: There is a link in the show notes you get
- 49:37Speaker 2: ad free audio and a weekly media blog from yours truly.
- 49:41Speaker 2: But if you're not listening on Patreon's your Capitalism.
- 49:50Speaker 3: Round two is called Pitch and Switch.
- 49:52Speaker 2: It's our fast talking, ever evolving, pitch meeting based game.
- 49:56Speaker 2: I will play the role of the CEO of Capcom
- 49:59Speaker 2: and on. Like my flawless Jeff Bezos impression, I won't
- 50:02Speaker 2: be doing an accent this time. I'm the CEO of Capcom,
- 50:05Speaker 2: and I need some new ideas for brand Resident.
- 50:09Speaker 3: Pantomime booties, because I got five for them.
- 50:15Speaker 2: I have here some prompts for Resident Evil media that
- 50:18Speaker 2: this CEO would like to see in the expansion of
- 50:21Speaker 2: the franchise. The twist is that I am a CEO,
- 50:24Speaker 2: and CEOs get very bored on account of how lazy
- 50:28Speaker 2: they are. So you will pitch as a team. But
- 50:31Speaker 2: when I say switch, you need to switch who is
- 50:35Speaker 2: leading the pitch. The idea being that thoughts and ideas
- 50:38Speaker 2: run on from one another, eventually creating a cacophony of
- 50:41Speaker 2: chaos and hopefully one genius idea. Let's begin with here
- 50:44Speaker 2: for the zombie tits, I think I think that's just
- 50:48Speaker 2: so order can potentially absorb some more information during their pitch.
- 50:51Speaker 4: I don't think I need any more.
- 50:54Speaker 3: I know what you're planning already, and I won't steal it.
- 50:59Speaker 5: Wherever you go, I will follow.
- 51:02Speaker 7: God well, another Gilmore Girls episode.
- 51:07Speaker 4: I was just thinking the Gin Blossoms and I was like,
- 51:11Speaker 4: anywhere you go, rom Com.
- 51:14Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, so your pitch is going to be quite simple.
- 51:17Speaker 2: First off, we've just seen the release of Resident Evil nine,
- 51:20Speaker 2: so I would just like to hear the pitch for
- 51:21Speaker 2: Resident Evil ten, just a new Resident Evil game in
- 51:24Speaker 2: the franchise. Who would like to start this pitch?
- 51:27Speaker 3: Ethan?
- 51:27Speaker 7: Do you know anything about Resident Evil nine? Like, have
- 51:29Speaker 7: you played it? Trailers anything?
- 51:31Speaker 3: I've seen some trailers and some reviews. Yeah, So why
- 51:34Speaker 3: don't you start?
- 51:35Speaker 7: Because you know what it is that you can then
- 51:37Speaker 7: lead off of, and I can just jump in and
- 51:38Speaker 7: follow you quickly afterwards.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Okay, great, all right, sweet, your pitch for Resident Evil
- 51:43Speaker 2: ten with switches whenever I call switch begins now?
- 51:47Speaker 3: All right?
- 51:47Speaker 6: So Resident Evil nine has two protagonists that you can
- 51:51Speaker 6: switch between. I think they need to dial things up
- 51:54Speaker 6: exponentially for ten with ten protagonists. So you gonna have
- 52:00Speaker 6: you gotta have all your main regular characters come back.
- 52:03Speaker 6: You got your Leons, you got your Critch.
- 52:07Speaker 7: You've got you got your classesm all over the genres. Uh.
- 52:10Speaker 7: They've all come together for one like ultimate it's a
- 52:12Speaker 7: ten year anniversary of the T virus getting out the first.
- 52:15Speaker 3: Time, a thing that happened in canonical stories.
- 52:19Speaker 7: And they're all working together on this one, big, crazy one.
- 52:22Speaker 7: And not only do you have ten protagonist, but.
- 52:24Speaker 3: You have ten antagonists.
- 52:27Speaker 6: Uh, and and they're you got your westers, you got
- 52:30Speaker 6: your scissor tails, all the ones there, and but they
- 52:35Speaker 6: all get smushed together stitch.
- 52:37Speaker 7: Into one like super mega Zombie by the end. So
- 52:41Speaker 7: not only you choosing who to play as, but which
- 52:43Speaker 7: one to focus on within the mind space of the
- 52:46Speaker 7: main one, because this has taking place in.
- 52:48Speaker 6: His sway, which yeah, it's like a neural network of
- 52:51Speaker 6: gross slime, but inside of a vultron shell. So you
- 52:55Speaker 6: can decide if you want to be like the right foot, uh,
- 52:58Speaker 6: and like you become just like you yourselves as the
- 53:01Speaker 6: good guys. Eventually in this mind skeep become like a
- 53:04Speaker 6: megazord of people fighting him. When you're fighting, you gotta
- 53:08Speaker 6: eat cake. At the tenth anniversary of the t virus
- 53:10Speaker 6: release party, that's a big sequence.
- 53:13Speaker 3: You're gonna blow out your candles.
- 53:15Speaker 7: There's switch and then finally you actually find out the
- 53:18Speaker 7: name Stars this whole time was because it was using
- 53:21Speaker 7: the power.
- 53:21Speaker 3: Of which stars the power they were uh.
- 53:26Speaker 6: And then also they decide they decide that with this
- 53:30Speaker 6: new star cannon, they can go to the Moon, which
- 53:33Speaker 6: is a different.
- 53:34Speaker 3: And eradicate Earth altogether.
- 53:36Speaker 6: No more sobbies, just raccoons, a raccoon city that's all
- 53:40Speaker 6: there is.
- 53:41Speaker 3: Sitch raccoons into the moon. That's your time.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Fantastic, what a what a genius idea. This is how
- 53:49Speaker 2: all games should be developed.
- 53:52Speaker 4: I think I'm gonna play Resident Evil elevens.
- 53:59Speaker 3: That one's gonna be a re I think, Oh my.
- 54:06Speaker 4: Goodness, dad's in video games.
- 54:09Speaker 3: The tenth anniversary of the tea virus.
- 54:13Speaker 5: It's a celebratorios in Cannon that passed like fifteen years ago.
- 54:20Speaker 4: Oh if I learned anything from that fifteen minute video
- 54:23Speaker 4: of the timeline non linear storytelling, that's fine, that's fine.
- 54:28Speaker 3: Oh yeah, other games took place after this already it
- 54:32Speaker 3: jumps all over the place.
- 54:33Speaker 2: Oh that was fantastic. I am giving you the full
- 54:35Speaker 2: five out of five points. That was a brilliant pitch.
- 54:38Speaker 2: Excellent job picking up off of each of these ideas,
- 54:41Speaker 2: especially look with the second of lag as well.
- 54:43Speaker 7: Come on, my brain works with a second of lag
- 54:45Speaker 7: at all times.
- 54:47Speaker 3: Yeah, we're operating at the same exact same time.
- 54:50Speaker 2: Oh brilliant. Okay, well we've had a game. We can't
- 54:53Speaker 2: just do games for for all of this, I don't think.
- 54:56Speaker 2: I think we've got to get a bit weird, or
- 54:57Speaker 2: what I thought was weird. But it turns out there
- 54:59Speaker 2: are resident Evil stage productions, three of them.
- 55:06Speaker 3: So I am going to ask the wee.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Virus to pitch me an idea for a resident Evil
- 55:11Speaker 2: stage production. Okay, you can take that in any direction
- 55:14Speaker 2: you want. Who would like to start this.
- 55:17Speaker 3: Pitch for me?
- 55:21Speaker 4: Yeah? If you wanted to start fucking insane, I can start.
- 55:24Speaker 4: If you wanted to start slightly grounded, you should start.
- 55:27Speaker 3: We're starting with you. Okay, are you ready? Audra?
- 55:32Speaker 4: Yep?
- 55:32Speaker 3: Resident Evil stage production. Switch. When I say switch, time starts.
- 55:36Speaker 4: Now picture this Resident Evil junior.
- 55:44Speaker 3: You know and love.
- 55:45Speaker 4: But we've cut out all of the interesting bits and
- 55:49Speaker 4: we've just kept the core thing of horrific zombies. But
- 55:54Speaker 4: everything is done by children.
- 55:55Speaker 3: Switch.
- 55:57Speaker 5: It's the first time a elementary school have been featured
- 56:00Speaker 5: the Arrest of Evil game.
- 56:03Speaker 3: But why not? Yeah?
- 56:04Speaker 5: Sure, some of the kids run around and bite each other. Ah,
- 56:07Speaker 5: they pretend to turn into zombies. It looks like a
- 56:10Speaker 5: real game.
- 56:11Speaker 3: Uh. But then.
- 56:14Speaker 4: About halfway through things the effects start to get actually
- 56:18Speaker 4: pretty fucking good, And then you're thinking, what's happening here?
- 56:22Speaker 4: Are these kids actually biting each other?
- 56:25Speaker 3: Are switch?
- 56:26Speaker 5: Are they actually being injured? And dying and it turns
- 56:30Speaker 5: out no, because it's a stage play, dumbass, but it
- 56:34Speaker 5: looks real as hell, and it's gonna freak a lot
- 56:36Speaker 5: of people out. And I think that's what's gonna bring
- 56:39Speaker 5: people back to the show again and again and against Switch.
- 56:42Speaker 4: The reviewers will be injured. They will a mystic around
- 56:50Speaker 4: the stage play Switch.
- 56:53Speaker 5: Not only are the kids gonna be biting each other,
- 56:54Speaker 5: they're gonna be biting the audience members.
- 56:57Speaker 3: They're just going to run into the stands and just
- 57:00Speaker 3: aren't fighting random people.
- 57:01Speaker 4: It's gonna be insane. At some point you're gonna start
- 57:05Speaker 4: questioning your sanity going to see Resident Evil.
- 57:10Speaker 5: Witch, Resident the the the live audience interactive experience.
- 57:15Speaker 3: You never thought you could have.
- 57:16Speaker 4: Twitch and you will never see anything like this ever
- 57:22Speaker 4: again or experience.
- 57:24Speaker 5: Switch, mostly because law will have shut us down Switch.
- 57:28Speaker 4: And they're gonna call the virus from this one.
- 57:30Speaker 3: Switch the PG virus. Lovely stuff, Oh my god.
- 57:41Speaker 2: Which is when the kids playing Yep.
- 57:46Speaker 3: Matt before you award them points. I think you should
- 57:49Speaker 3: consider that.
- 57:50Speaker 6: Halfway through the show it gets really good.
- 57:56Speaker 2: You did have a good stretch of about forty five
- 57:58Speaker 2: seconds when you will just doing the marketing for the
- 58:01Speaker 2: sure as opposed to the pitching.
- 58:02Speaker 3: So it was just like, and it's gonna be really great.
- 58:07Speaker 7: It's going to be pretty okay.
- 58:09Speaker 3: You have never seen anything like this before.
- 58:11Speaker 4: Halfway through this pitch, it's gonna get good.
- 58:16Speaker 3: Resident evil Kids bops. Yeah. I loved that.
- 58:22Speaker 2: Like in my head when Ordra had it first, I
- 58:24Speaker 2: was like imagining like a Wiggle style production or something.
- 58:27Speaker 2: But then Aaron just straight up made it like an
- 58:29Speaker 2: elementary school.
- 58:32Speaker 3: I loved it. I'm like, well, I gotta yes, and this, Yeah,
- 58:37Speaker 3: it's fantastic.
- 58:38Speaker 4: And Aaron knew exactly my head was elementary school, so
- 58:42Speaker 4: Aaron was with me.
- 58:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna have to knock off one point off
- 58:45Speaker 2: the full five for it being kind of mostly marketing
- 58:48Speaker 2: in the middle, but that's fair.
- 58:50Speaker 5: I apologize for letting my enthusiasm for this.
- 58:54Speaker 7: A title for this one that the points you are
- 58:56Speaker 7: done high school musical recode Veronica.
- 59:00Speaker 2: Yes, yes, and talk to my football four points for
- 59:04Speaker 2: that want Did you want more pitch?
- 59:05Speaker 3: Hell? Yeah? Down for the pitch. Do we have a choice?
- 59:09Speaker 7: No, he's asking us, but nodding yes, but like gunpoints
- 59:16Speaker 7: at us. I mean, like I guess the answer is yes,
- 59:20Speaker 7: he just.
- 59:20Speaker 4: Pulled up a sign that says eat metal questions.
- 59:25Speaker 7: And he's also just standing there not falling off a
- 59:27Speaker 7: clif until he looks down and sees it, like, what
- 59:28Speaker 7: is this?
- 59:31Speaker 3: Chokes? Why?
- 59:32Speaker 7: I thought I was resting her friend, just like holding
- 59:36Speaker 7: aside and Smiley Coyote's thing.
- 59:38Speaker 3: Nice.
- 59:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Leady Tunes episode soon. Okay, back on over
- 59:43Speaker 2: to We're here for the zombie tits. Thank you for
- 59:46Speaker 2: helping me with what it.
- 59:48Speaker 5: Is, lady Dimtress reaching.
- 59:56Speaker 3: Yeah. First, you will be.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: Pitching a resident evil theme park ideas for a rest
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: and evil theme park, which may already exist if the
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: musicals anything to go bye.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: Okay, maybe it wasn't a musical. Maybe I just assumed it.
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: Was also assumed there must be some music in one
- 1:00:17Speaker 7: of the.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Yeah, one out of the three. Okay, you ready to
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: pitch a resident evil theme park?
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: Sure? I'm okay, Drew. Are you going first?
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: Hell?
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I am all right. Your time starts now.
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: You've seen Jurassic Park, right, and the problem there was
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: it was dinosaurs. We're gonna do an entire theme park
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: where we've actually genetically engineered proper zombies there. Of course,
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: in cages that like they can't get out of, and
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: there's no way that would ever happen by some sort
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: of a weird fluke accident. But it's essentially an eye
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: leitch where.
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: A big fluke accident happens and then all the zombies
- 1:00:51Speaker 6: get loose, like it's like two days in. Immediately there's zombies.
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: They're running around all over the place. You try and leave,
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: but there's dogs right by the exit, so you.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: Can't leave, Stitch.
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: And this is totally planned and we're not panicking right now.
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: This is what we meant to happen. The guys with
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: guns totally actors ignore them. The zombies that's makeup, the
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: one with the head missing, Yeah, no, that's just really
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: good special effects.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: Just you know, stay over there.
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: Yeah, stay over there on the Walking Dead side of
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: the theme park that's owned by AMC Studios.
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: On Arts Rivals, and the zombie sometimes fight.
- 1:01:28Speaker 6: At noon when they ring a big bell, bitch, So
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: you gather in the big stadium Thunderdome style and watch
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: two different franchise where the zombies go at it, and
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: if you get.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: Bit, you just join the fight because you're part of
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: it now. Eich sides You.
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: Can decide which zombie you want to be. If you
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: want to be the running cond the walking conch.
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: And you can go to our boutique and for some
- 1:01:49Speaker 7: extra purchases using your in game zombie bucks or in
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: pilot zombie bucks, you can buy different mutations. You want
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: a giant tongue in your brain exposed mega titties.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: You want mega titties. You want a giant tongue in
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: your mega tds. You want you want a big floppy
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: decorative hat. Switch.
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: All the options are here. Be the zombie of your
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: dreams on our resident evil Biohazard Zombie Island.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: Head of the Island, where you can buy items strange witch.
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: All the herbs. You can eat poor liquids all over
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: your hands.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: Until they're so moist and supple and wet wet switch. Hey,
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: you get five bucks off. Your name is even there?
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: We go nice?
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: Oh wow, I mean I don't want to go to that.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: That's a great pitch. Yeah, At what point were you out.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: Pretty early on when it was like Jurassic pox style,
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: So as soon as it.
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: Was a bad idea, which was word three.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: Yes, but I liked you bringing in other franchises. Crossing
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: temperature is a huge thing.
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: So oh, I didn't say this, but halfway through it
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: does it good?
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: You didn't say it in the time. You didn't say
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: it within the time.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: We didn't say it in the time. You're right, you're
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: right there.
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: I assumed you would understand that it was implied.
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: It was sure, sure, But what wasn't implied the tongue
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: and the ticks.
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: That was legit. That Hey, the liquors are a thing. Yea,
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: unless you're tricking me.
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: They're like one of these They were in the movie man.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: Damn the movie canon. Okay, hot, damn. Well, if you'd
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: have if you'd have said.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: A reference to the liquors within that, I might have
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: given you the full five points.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: But I'm going to give you four out of five
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: for that one describing them.
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: We need a name to attach to the project, otherwise
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: no one's going to buy tickets.
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: I said the name it was residental Island, zombie island,
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: bio hazard, having the island.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: That's right, it's exactly what I said. Re want check it.
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: Right, all right? Drew your perfect through You're perfect.
- 1:04:09Speaker 7: Thank you? And what what shoe size? Just just the
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: number of your hair dye.
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: Just I'll send you links. I'll send you links.
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: New wife.
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: Oh my god, your wife, new life?
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: You give me sister wives? Cute he's got wife at home.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: Home.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: Oh I love this show so much. Friend.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Okay, we have one more pitch to hear before the
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: end of the round. We are going back on over
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: to the wee virus. And I'm so oh sorry. This
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: is the prompt I wrote. I was trying to think
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: of the weird media. Can you please pitch me a
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: resident evil novelty music album? Hell, yes, yes, Aaron, would
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: you like to leave the pitch this time?
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: Abs a freakin' lutely all right, aren't your time stots? Now?
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: Three words?
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: And I'm sure I'm not the right person to present this,
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: but resonant evil gay. I am talking half naked men,
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: half naked women getting together, enjoying themselves musically, which is
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: the best way on the switch.
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: This is just about inclusivity. That's the point here is
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: we're just trying to make everybody feel welcome. And also
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: it's gonna be a big dance party and there's probably
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: gonna be stretch.
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: Probably gonna be drunks, but there's also going to be
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: the monsters. Okay, the monsters don't get no love. Isn't
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: it time Tyrant and Nemesis spent some time together? I mean, really,
- 1:06:05Speaker 5: let's be real. Resident Evil has always been a celebration
- 1:06:08Speaker 5: of love.
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: So I think it's time that we choose love by
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: letting the monsters fuck each other. And I think that
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: that's really important. Monster fucking has gotten really big nowadays.
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: Wretch to be clear before you get the wrong idea.
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: These are songs, So they're gonna be sexy songs, is
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: what I'm saying.
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: Obviously they're gonna be sexy songs. They're gonna be sexy
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: songs that are a concept album telling the love story
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: of those two monsters that Aaron just meant Switch.
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: And of course, who could forget Chris and Wesker fighting
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: half naked and cod Veronica. Come on, that's a callback.
- 1:06:50Speaker 5: The fans are gonna love Switch, And what.
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: Are these games if not an elaborate excuse for those
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: two half naked men to touch each other's bodies. And
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: I think that Switch.
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: I also want to get the lesbian community in here.
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: I mean, Claire and Aida have gone, Switch.
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: Have gone hand in hand into a beautiful new future.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: Stwitch and the music's gonna be fantastic.
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: And halfway through it gets good.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: Fantastic. That is the time you're both You're both very funny.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: But I don't know, if you know, I.
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: Thought one hundred percent I thought that you were going
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: to pitch like those albums where they use like drills
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: and saws and stuff to do classical pieces. I was
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: like ninety nine percent certain that's the direction we were
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: going to go.
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: So I had a I mean, my initial thought was
- 1:07:54Speaker 5: zombie number one, Zombie number two, Zombie number three, you know,
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: zombie noise.
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: Points.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: Damn it, we're here, We're here to have fun. Yeah,
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: it's very much like you're going down myself.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: I had a great time. I do not care.
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Hirant and Nemesis semi
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: the Monster Mash, I'd watch that.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: Oh, there was a good number of references in there
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: that I'm sure fans are picking up on. So all
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: three of your points are going to be for those references.
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: But as I didn't hear too much of a pitch
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: for a novelty music album and more sex dance show.
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: There's music.
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: Basically drag listen very clearly audured I were meant for
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: the marketing game, which you did not include in here.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: So that's true. I'll have to write a marketing based
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: the four of us.
- 1:08:50Speaker 7: Are our stupid ideas in your stupid marketing. We could
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: rule the world.
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: We could make a thousand.
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: Specific city and nowhere else because ragots will buy anything
- 1:09:04Speaker 7: we saw them if we see his food.
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: But we could all be we titty company name.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: Get it registered, all right, and with that apiece, that's
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: the end of the round. Let's ask the genius virologist
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: Alexia Ashford to calculate the latest scores women in stem
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: all over the place. Those scores are the wee virus
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: are on fifteen points, but here for the zombie tits
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: are on fourteen points.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: They're catching up. Look off kept for us.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Okay, Round three next after these ads for Aquakure Aquakure
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: You're all in one treatment for feminine skin ailments back soon.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: Round three is called review bomb. It's the game tests
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: are player's ability to name a piece of resident evil
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: media from a genuine review left on either Steam or
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Rotten Tomatoes Tomatoes something They've say, Yeah, I'm trying to assimilate,
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: but I'm also stubborn, so I end up saying bulls,
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: which wastes everyone's time. I'll read the review, we'll hear
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: an answer from each player, but there is just one
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: point available for each team for a correct answer, So
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: feel free to hedge your bets between your team and gets.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: It's essentially two guesses per team. Aaron, you could Ultra
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: might just say raccoons.
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: Resident evil one.
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: I might mention things like it could be one of
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: two games either.
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll let you get away with that. That's that's fine,
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: I think. All right, So here's your first review, and
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: I will disclose it's from Steam, so you're in the
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: world of games.
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: From a stage, not a stage.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: Play great game, even if I need the IQ of
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: Einstein to solve the puzzles. And oh yeah, how can
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: I forget my favorite part sitting through a ten second
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: animation every time I have to open a door.
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: Yay, I love it so much. And that's from user
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: pasta John.
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: Pasta John.
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: That's from pasta John.
- 1:11:19Speaker 7: The brain is percolating. I think I have a guess.
- 1:11:21Speaker 7: I think I'm willing to put mine in.
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: Yeah, Drew, do you want to?
- 1:11:24Speaker 7: I feel like I remember the door animations and Resident
- 1:11:27Speaker 7: Evil to being incredibly slow, and I could see it
- 1:11:30Speaker 7: being the kind of thing where like they wouldn't fix
- 1:11:32Speaker 7: that for the Steam release, So Resident Evil too.
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: Okay, what about yourself, Aaron.
- 1:11:36Speaker 5: So here's the thing, and I'm not trying to impune
- 1:11:40Speaker 5: Pasta John's intelligence, but the Resident Evil games are not
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: known for having the world's most difficult puzzles. Having said that,
- 1:11:48Speaker 5: I think the one that makes the most sense to
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: me it would have been probably one of the originals.
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: But here's the thing. Steam, I'm not sure if has
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: the originals. Steam has the remake of the first game,
- 1:12:05Speaker 5: and that one still included door animation openings, and it
- 1:12:09Speaker 5: did include some harder puzzles in the first game. So
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: I'm gonna say Resin Evil the original, but the remake interesting.
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: Okay, that's that's what Aaron's putting forward.
- 1:12:19Speaker 6: Ethan, Yeah, I mean, it's gotta be one of those
- 1:12:21Speaker 6: original ones. I do think that the remake of Resident
- 1:12:25Speaker 6: Evil one allowed you to skip the door animations, I
- 1:12:28Speaker 6: want to say, with a button push.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: I think pasta John may not have been smart enough
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: to figure.
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: That maybe didn't hold B to skip.
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: So that was that was the puzzle that stuck him.
- 1:12:40Speaker 6: Yeah, but let's I mean, if we're hedging bets, I
- 1:12:42Speaker 6: guess I'll say three, right for our team one?
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: And then I'll say three, I think dread two. Oh well, yeah,
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: but I can't Oh you can't go too, But you
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: could go one. I could go one. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: yeah you can.
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: You can go with a different answer from your teammate.
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: But you can say the same as the other team.
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: That feels cheap. There is a little cheap.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: It's not a it's not a super well thought out game.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: But to talk about the the media.
- 1:13:10Speaker 5: Let's see what happens to the points if I say
- 1:13:13Speaker 5: one and so can I just feed a little information
- 1:13:20Speaker 5: under here? The only other Resident Evil game I can
- 1:13:23Speaker 5: think of with door opening animations is Resident Evil zero,
- 1:13:27Speaker 5: And some of the puzzles in that game were a
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: little tough because you had to maneuver items between the
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: two characters to get things rolling. Because you played two
- 1:13:36Speaker 5: characters simultaneously in that game, you just switch between them
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: on the fly.
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: I like that because it could be like the logistical
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: thing of having to switch between the two characters, and
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: then I.
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: Might have been what irritated John? Yes?
- 1:13:50Speaker 7: And then I mean scientifically, if I found too slow
- 1:13:53Speaker 7: and you're saying one was slower than two, then by
- 1:13:56Speaker 7: pure math zero.
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: I'm going with it. Resident Evil zero.
- 1:14:04Speaker 7: Resident Evil negative three. No bullshit, No, I'm sick to.
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: The correct answer.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: And Aaron, you may be right about this in terms
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: of it being the remake and not the original, but
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: what I have down here is Resident Evil, and so
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna give a point to each team.
- 1:14:20Speaker 3: I think kind of.
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: For a lot of people, if you go back and
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: play older games, if they were not very clear about
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: what you're supposed to be doing. As someone who just
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: started playing video games and has gone back to older games,
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: and I'm like, I don't know what the fuck I'm
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: supposed to be doing here, which could contribute to a
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: difficult puzzle.
- 1:14:44Speaker 7: Oh yeah, Like I feel like Resident Evil definitely did
- 1:14:46Speaker 7: this before, where like you would get an item, and
- 1:14:49Speaker 7: up to this point, every item was one time used
- 1:14:51Speaker 7: to solve a puzzle, and then there's one random item.
- 1:14:53Speaker 7: Is like, no, You're gonna use it like four more
- 1:14:54Speaker 7: times because reasons. It's just because it's it's the string
- 1:14:59Speaker 7: is good, keep using it. You use it and it
- 1:15:01Speaker 7: sticks around in inventory, and I'm like, oh, Okay, okay.
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: As.
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: Smart as the Einstein to figure out that.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: String past the jump. All right, So we move on
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: to a review from Ross and Tomato. Joe, now you're
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: just saying it like tomatoes, here's your review from that website.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: No matter how you might feel about the movies, hint,
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: they're bad, there's something remarkable about the creative willpower and
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: bizarre vision necessary to turn one so so video game
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: movie into a six deep franchise. And that's from Darrenbubbles
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: reviews ship dot com. Anyone can sign up and be
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: official critic on Rotten Tomatoes.
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 1:15:52Speaker 7: I mean, there's a weird hint in there somewhere. This
- 1:15:55Speaker 7: is maybe it was the sixth movie.
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: But I am going to need the title of the movie.
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: Is the thing?
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: Oh God, Aaron shaking his head like he doesn't even
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: want to say the title of any of the movies.
- 1:16:06Speaker 7: The only one I could think of that wasn't just
- 1:16:09Speaker 7: a numbered title was Resident Evil Apocalypse.
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: That is, that sounds right, but that just be the
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: second one. I think any.
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: Other any of the suffixes for Resident Evil movies, I'll
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: say it's possible that there's also one called Resident Evil annihilation. Okay,
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: we got apocalypse and annihilation. Audra Aaron.
- 1:16:35Speaker 5: Just just just pick a word that sounds good at
- 1:16:38Speaker 5: the end of a movie title. I'm gonna try, I'm
- 1:16:40Speaker 5: gonna try Resident Evil, extinction extinction.
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: Did we say that it definitely is? Did we decide
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: as a group that it definitely isn't Resident Evil six?
- 1:16:49Speaker 5: Yeah, that's the video game. The movies all had subtitles. Oh, okay,
- 1:16:53Speaker 5: none of the movies had numbers. I don't think Resident Evil.
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: Just say the virus, the virus.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: Okay, no one's getting a point, but Ra is technically
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: the closest because it's Resident Evil the final chapter.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: Of God.
- 1:17:20Speaker 7: Can you just verify for me how many movies have
- 1:17:22Speaker 7: come out since that one? A couple as well as
- 1:17:26Speaker 7: I think two TV shows.
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: Not zero. I forgot about the show. It's not going
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: to come up.
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: He's getting deeper.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: Okay, here's another review we're back on over on steam
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: dot com. The game is really cool and scary. Just
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: don't let mom catch you playing while you do the
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: fight with the nice lady who has bugs in her
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: poossy because spell it it's P zero zero s y
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: pronounced that.
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: So right, Because.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: My Mum called me playing and yanked the power out
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: of my computer and said, what is this? Why are
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: you playing this? Where did I go wrong in raising
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: such a horrible sun? But yeah, cool game.
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: That's from sixty nine rock Hard sixty nine.
- 1:18:16Speaker 7: I mean naming him that was of course, that's this
- 1:18:20Speaker 7: whole real name's Christian name.
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: And he guesses for this one.
- 1:18:28Speaker 6: I mean, Resident Evil eight village is is top of mind.
- 1:18:33Speaker 6: But I do think there is another game where there
- 1:18:36Speaker 6: is a maybe a centipede.
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: Woman if I'm remembering my well something.
- 1:18:41Speaker 7: But I feel like the one before eight thus seven,
- 1:18:44Speaker 7: which I don't think was called seven now that i'm
- 1:18:46Speaker 7: saying alone by it, Yeah, it was like it was
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: a very bug feme. I feel like you're absolutely right.
- 1:18:53Speaker 7: I think that's I think that's what it is. I
- 1:18:55Speaker 7: think you're I think it is seven. Okay, so do
- 1:18:57Speaker 7: you won't You'll take eight? I'll take seven.
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: Sure, Yeah, that's a head. We don't get like two
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: points for both saying the right one. So yeah, the
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: game is not that broken.
- 1:19:04Speaker 6: Yeah, say seven, but I think you're right nice, I'll
- 1:19:07Speaker 6: say eight, seven and eight, Aaron.
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: I think we should copy them exactly.
- 1:19:14Speaker 5: There there is No, as far as I know, there's
- 1:19:17Speaker 5: no there's no actual monster with vaginal bugs. There are
- 1:19:23Speaker 5: there are women who explode into clouds of bugs in
- 1:19:27Speaker 5: both eight and seven.
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: So how poossy centric is it?
- 1:19:32Speaker 5: I mean, technically eight is a little bit more sexual
- 1:19:36Speaker 5: than seven, that's about it.
- 1:19:38Speaker 4: So and seven is bugs. So yeah, yeah, we came
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: to that conclusion.
- 1:19:45Speaker 5: No, I just I just can't think of any other
- 1:19:48Speaker 5: games that have kind of bug women.
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: So yeah, it's one of those. Say I'll say.
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: Seven's the video game bug women in it, Cramp Thank them.
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: Racing. They make two of those games coming out of
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: their P zero zero.
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: Each team is getting a point. It is Resident Evil
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: seven bio has it.
- 1:20:12Speaker 6: Yeah, it's the mom.
- 1:20:15Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, shees creepy as hell.
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: Honestly that nope.
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: That that whole game is a nope fest. Yeah.
- 1:20:25Speaker 7: I think I've seen like one like Boss Hide from
- 1:20:27Speaker 7: that game and a clip somewhere and I was like, ah, yes,
- 1:20:30Speaker 7: the reason I don't play many of these games anymore.
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: Thank you?
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: All right, we got one final review, this time returning
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: to Rotten TomTom Tomatoes.
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: They're not going to let you.
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: Will except you overhear he I.
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: Keep getting ads to move to Canada.
- 1:20:51Speaker 7: Oh good, my money's being well spent. My ads to
- 1:20:56Speaker 7: move to Canada. You can just say heated rivalry.
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: We know.
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: Okay, here is that review. This has extremely gross and
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: graphic violence, with many disgusting deaths and gross monsters. There
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: are a lot of ooh moments. Characters are in extreme
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: peril and most of them are killed. There is very
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: strong language and non sexual nudity. A strength of the
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: movie is the portrayal of the exceptionally capable and courageous women,
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: though of course they dress for combat in very revealing clothing.
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: By the numbers, gory horror flic not for kids. That's
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: from common Sense Media dot org.
- 1:21:33Speaker 4: Of course it is.
- 1:21:34Speaker 7: Hmmm, from the movies in this franchise. I've seen that
- 1:21:38Speaker 7: narrows it down to one of the movies in this franchise,
- 1:21:42Speaker 7: all of them.
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: That's all of them.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: Now, that is intentional. Do you remember the suffixes from
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: the previous guesses of movies? One of you might be right.
- 1:21:52Speaker 4: I call annihilation because I remember that one.
- 1:21:57Speaker 7: I think that was the second one now that I'm
- 1:21:59Speaker 7: saying it again, and.
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: I'll say that.
- 1:22:04Speaker 5: Aaron, I am kind of tempted to just say the
- 1:22:07Speaker 5: first one, which was just Resident Evil, but I don't
- 1:22:10Speaker 5: remember it being that gory, So I'm gonna say Apocalypse,
- 1:22:15Speaker 5: I think, because I think that was the second one,
- 1:22:17Speaker 5: and that's where Jill Valentine shows up, so I know
- 1:22:19Speaker 5: there were at least two heroines.
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: Okay, th about the logic of Common Sense Media, I like,
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: maybe if there's any logic.
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: To be yeah, that's gonna be a point for each team,
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: because this is the review for Resident Evil Apocalypse from
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: Common Sense Media.
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: Which is the second one, right, double. There's so many
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: movies after the Apocalypse and then some after the Final Shift.
- 1:22:45Speaker 7: Like the legit is a point in the film franchise
- 1:22:47Speaker 7: I think was the I think I saw the first two.
- 1:22:49Speaker 7: I think I maybe so the third one at some point,
- 1:22:52Speaker 7: and then I randomly went to go see one with
- 1:22:53Speaker 7: friends in theaters. Don't ask me why or how, and
- 1:22:56Speaker 7: like it's legitimately like a Mad Max level, like a
- 1:23:00Speaker 7: apocalypse desert thing with like cars happening.
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: It's like, hell, yeah, maybe these movies are good.
- 1:23:08Speaker 6: I don't know if I've mentioned it on this podcast,
- 1:23:09Speaker 6: but my theory about all the Mad Max movies is
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: that everything outside of Australia during the time of those
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: movies is normal. They've just decided to go full bondage
- 1:23:21Speaker 6: just to be crazy.
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: The rest of the world is just like leave them alone. Yeah,
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: just let them do their thing.
- 1:23:27Speaker 7: Yeah, they're fun. Fact not often discussed. It's just a documentary.
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: We don't interfere in North Korea. We're not going to
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: interfere in Australia. Whatever they're doing, it's up to them
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: crazy kangaroos.
- 1:23:41Speaker 3: All right, that is the end of round three.
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: Let's ask the Internet breaking Gough mommy Lady Demotrasque to
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: calculate the latest scores.
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: Those scores are.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: The wee virus are on eighteen points. Here for the
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: zombie tits are on seventeen points.
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: We're getting close bb one half a pair of tits away.
- 1:24:07Speaker 4: By standard counting, by standard reckoning.
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: Yes, it was very close. That's what you need.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: Before we get to the quick fire around though, let's
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: talk prizes this episode. Star prize is the concept of survival.
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: Some days are just about surviving and genuinely that's okay,
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: but yeah, just just a nice little sentiment that's not
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: a joke. But our winning team will also receive a
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: vial of t virus that I acquired while on a
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: trip to a mysterious factory in Woohan. Don't help me, Okay.
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: Up next is our crucial quick fire around. But first
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: we must play one final set of ads supporters for
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: four bucks a month on Patreon and get the videos
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: from these episodes so you can see these five pasty
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: zombies for yourself.
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: Back soon.
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: Our final quick fire around will test your broader pop
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: culture knowledge, and it's called Raccoon rama. In this game,
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: I will give our players clues to a raccoon from
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: pop culture history.
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: Those clues will be watch me fucking biff like.
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: Those clues will be five words delivered in the style
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: of a brainless zombie from the original games, like brain
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: It's like that kind of thing. There is, of course
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: a classic gate Leapers twist. You need to say, huh,
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: you were almost a answer sandwich, like the Jill sandwich.
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: You're almost a name of raccoon sandwich. Okay, it's quick fire,
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: so buzz in by yelling out your team name. Let's
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: practice that now, lovely stuff. This is such a normal show.
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: Here's an example to get us going. If I said
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: weapons cybernets.
- 1:26:13Speaker 5: Whee where's yes, Aaron, you were almost a rocket raccoon sandwich.
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: Exactly that. That's exactly how you would answer it, and
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: that is the correct answer.
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: Give it my best, very voice, too nice.
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: And let's see if there are twelve pop culture raccoons.
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: Let's go out. We knocked out one on.
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: Here we go, develop a Belle.
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: Yes, you were almost a tom Nook sandwich.
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: Tom Nook that good stuff, nice sucker.
- 1:26:52Speaker 7: Ca Yes, true, Oh man, you were almost a sly
- 1:26:57Speaker 7: Cooper sandwich.
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: It is like Cooper, greedy pet sidekick, loyal PoCA hunters
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: what's his name?
- 1:27:18Speaker 4: Yes, oh man, you are almost a the raccoon from
- 1:27:22Speaker 4: cocon Is that the grand No, the tree is the
- 1:27:29Speaker 4: grand raccoon sandwich. I did take sandwich at the end,
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: so I did completely.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's I'm not going to give you it
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: because I feel like Poconess was in the clue and
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: raccoon is.
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: Implied from the round. So okay, anyone know this one?
- 1:27:47Speaker 6: Oh yeah, oh whoa, you were almost a John Smith.
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: Great answer, but it's not. It's Miko Pico animal.
- 1:28:04Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: Let's see if these are more obscure than that last one.
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: Let's go Oh boy, tiny pick up normal ho and.
- 1:28:18Speaker 4: Yes, Ara, Oh you were almost a zig Zagoon sandwich.
- 1:28:23Speaker 3: Yeah anyone, good stuff.
- 1:28:28Speaker 7: Glad you got that. I had Gen four on the brand. Almost, babe.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: That would have been.
- 1:28:33Speaker 4: Embarrassing, more embarrassing than being like, yeah yeah Liverpool fab.
- 1:28:47Speaker 3: Yes, Ethan. Uh, whoa, you were almost a Rocky raccoon.
- 1:28:51Speaker 3: Yeah yeah the song by the Beatles good stuff?
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Beetles knowledge okay, damn ever green environmentalism Canada fits.
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: Yes, true, you were almost I believe his name was
- 1:29:09Speaker 7: just raccoon from the Raccoons, the Canadian cartoon show Sandwich.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I've got any of the raccoons from the Raccoons,
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: so kid stuff.
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: I mean, the answer was.
- 1:29:21Speaker 3: In the question I am drowning here.
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: This is my time to carry you.
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: You are you are? You have to carry me? Three supers, yes, Ethan.
- 1:29:38Speaker 6: Whoa, you were almost a Tanuki Mario sandwich.
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: Yah, shooky Mario. God damn it. It was only the
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: one left that I could think of, and that was it.
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: Damn still five moncleus ship fucked me? Grounds Keeper cartoon
- 1:29:57Speaker 3: net was.
- 1:30:00Speaker 6: Gila Yes, yes, Ethan, Uh, well, you're almost a Rigby sandwich.
- 1:30:07Speaker 3: It is from Regular Show, Your mom is almost a
- 1:30:11Speaker 3: Rigby sandwich.
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: And other Regular Show references weapons, cybernetics, Marvel, Guardian groot
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: we Yes, oh.
- 1:30:32Speaker 4: My god, oh no, you were almost a baby rocket
- 1:30:37Speaker 4: raccoon or different rocket raccoons.
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: Take different rocket raccoon. You've got original comic rocket raccoon
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: from different different guy.
- 1:30:47Speaker 4: I'll take the points next.
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: NFL Tennessee Titans mascot. Anyone who gets the name of
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: the well you were almost It's not that, but I
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: would love it if was the mascot, I.
- 1:31:15Speaker 3: Would get into football. Yeah.
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: Yeah, fans are called the cooners. Anymore guesses for the Tennessee.
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: Yes, you were almost a Tarry the raccoon sandwich. You've
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: got the first initial.
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: If the name is the thing, I can't, I can't
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: give it to you.
- 1:31:38Speaker 3: Yes, Aaron, you.
- 1:31:40Speaker 5: Were almost a Titanic the Raccoons.
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: It's it could be long short for that, but no
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: the answer unless Ordre wants to throw out.
- 1:31:56Speaker 4: You were almost a different type of I got nothing
- 1:32:01Speaker 4: a raccoon sandwich. Yeah, I mean sometimes you gotta go
- 1:32:05Speaker 4: route one the mascots called called t rack track.
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: Maybe there's two more children's book Separation Anxiety Kissing.
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: But children's books were you read.
- 1:32:29Speaker 4: It?
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: Weirdly?
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: Was also a clue in our Roum Coms episode, which
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: I realize hasn't come out yet.
- 1:32:37Speaker 3: Good.
- 1:32:44Speaker 5: Yes, Aaron, you were almost a Frenchy the French Kissing

- 1:33:01Speaker 2: the raccoons from the book The Kissing Hand, which is
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: the best selling American book. You used to teach children
- 1:33:06Speaker 2: about separation anxiety.
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: Wow, there we go. Oh, Johnny knew it in the
- 1:33:12Speaker 3: last episode that came out.
- 1:33:14Speaker 4: Johnny's not here all right?
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: Quick before the buzzer Midwest Industrial.
- 1:33:23Speaker 3: Game, Resident Evil. I heard Drew first. Oh shit, you

- 1:33:45Speaker 3: wiki says, the middle of the Midwest city.
- 1:33:48Speaker 7: I'm getting the Simpsons vibe. You can stand on the
- 1:33:50Speaker 7: four corners and see Alaska, Hawaii.
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: In Canada, skulls are pretty close. It was pretty tight.
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: Gratulations to it. I mean I say that all the time, right, Yes, The.
- 1:34:06Speaker 3: Only one I got was the example, which didn't count.
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: I really thought you were going to buzz in for
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: it the second time as well, because I'm was like,
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: we already did him what I wouldn't play a trick
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: before we get to the final scores. I'd like to
- 1:34:23Speaker 2: thank a players. You've all been calm, no Cap, Yes,
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: could work.
- 1:34:31Speaker 7: That.
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: I didn't care for.
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: That?
- 1:34:35Speaker 3: Is that a compliment?
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: Like?
- 1:34:37Speaker 4: What? What?
- 1:34:37Speaker 2: What?
- 1:34:38Speaker 3: What does that mean?
- 1:34:38Speaker 7: That?
- 1:34:39Speaker 5: Well?
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: I know you don't shouldn't have to explain the joke,
- 1:34:41Speaker 2: but CAP Calm is the company and like comedy and
- 1:34:47Speaker 2: no CAP.
- 1:34:48Speaker 3: Is Like, I'm not lying.
- 1:34:49Speaker 4: I thought it was because we were effective communicators throughout.
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: I down, yeah, and I thought you were saying calm
- 1:34:59Speaker 3: but with a British accent. Oh I see, I see.
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: So I didn't understand it.
- 1:35:05Speaker 5: I didn't understand the gen Z slang, and I didn't
- 1:35:07Speaker 5: get the CAP joke either.

- 1:35:37Speaker 2: where people can buy them. But I would also like
- 1:35:39Speaker 2: to ask you if there's any updates.
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: On a on a third book.
- 1:35:44Speaker 5: You can't, okay. So I have continued writing book number three.
- 1:35:54Speaker 5: I'm up to thirty one thousand words or something like that.
- 1:35:57Speaker 7: Uh.
- 1:35:57Speaker 5: So it's coming along. I hope to have it out
- 1:35:59Speaker 5: by the end of the year. I'm just going long
- 1:36:02Speaker 5: term with this because you know, we've had a lot
- 1:36:07Speaker 5: going on and I took a massive break from it.
- 1:36:09Speaker 5: But you can still get books one and two everywhere
- 1:36:13Speaker 5: you find books pretty much. I think you're on almost
- 1:36:16Speaker 5: every store front you can imagine, and probably if you can't,
- 1:36:20Speaker 5: they're they're under Aaron Randolph, which is my real name
- 1:36:23Speaker 5: and not a pen name, which was probably a mistake,
- 1:36:25Speaker 5: but oh well. It's The first book is called Thine
- 1:36:30Speaker 5: t h I A N. E. And the second book
- 1:36:33Speaker 5: is called Rika and the Inevitability of Life. Third book
- 1:36:36Speaker 5: has a working title, but nothing nothing set in stone yet.
- 1:36:42Speaker 5: And if you like audiobooks, Thain has a full cast audiobook.
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: It is so bloody good. Oh yeah, it's amazing. That's
- 1:36:49Speaker 3: very good.
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a it's a great book. And yeah, I
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: would recommend the audio book version to be honest, it's.
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: A lot of fun. It's like a long, long audio
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: or radio play.
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: Yeah, hell yeah, yeah, some great people involved. Yeah, just
- 1:37:03Speaker 2: a fantastic production.
