- 0:38SPEAKER_04: Okay, it's been a wonderful weekend to be a Nigerian this weekend.
- 0:42SPEAKER_04: So yeah, I mean we all have costs to celebrate.
- 0:45SPEAKER_04: We've been doing really well in the nation's cup, and we look yet to win that.
- 0:49SPEAKER_04: So yeah, that's a good thing.
- 0:52SPEAKER_04: Exactly, exactly, exactly.
- 0:53SPEAKER_04: It's been a it's been like this week.
- 0:55SPEAKER_04: We are all looking forward to celebrate at the end of the week.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: That's the question.
- 0:59SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Before I forget, can you name can you name all the players?
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: However, for me, the answer is no.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: I think I can ask things I can make six nice.
- 1:15SPEAKER_05: I know the premiership, I know the premiership players.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I can probably make like three or something.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: I just wonder if people would really like it.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: So if you think about it, you know, six at least.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: Because a lot of them a lot of them you know from the premiership.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:27SPEAKER_04: Like the full the full ham three of them, the two of them from full hand, the rest of them.
- 1:34SPEAKER_05: And we're not the keeper.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: You don't look mad, and you know the keeper.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: I just wondering if we're liking liking them to superheroes or villains.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Who would think?
- 1:51SPEAKER_04: Oh, that would be a good thing to do.
- 1:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like if we pick them, if we pick them and say, Okay, who are the which superheroes they most likely match?
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: I'm just thinking of Joker when I think of a c men I don't know why with his face mask.
- 2:05SPEAKER_04: It's just a chaos guy.
- 2:06SPEAKER_04: No, it's too chuckle.
- 2:08SPEAKER_04: Is it that is a chaos guy actually?
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, no, no, no, no.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: You know what is two faces.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: No, Ossiman is Red Hood, is Jason Todd.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Yes, that's why he's wearing his helmet.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: Ah, they killed me one time, and he has anger issues.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: And he has anger issues, yes.
- 2:29SPEAKER_04: But yeah, it's been fun, at least it's something for the interiors to celebrate in general.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: Yes, and what's his name?
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Um God, the guy I was fighting with.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: Oh, my black look man.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: So look, yeah, so look man, look man would be Tim T.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: Spider Man.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Spider-Man, yeah.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think it has a very Spider-Man quality.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, the keeper will be a hulk.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Sorry to that I interrupted you.
- 2:58SPEAKER_04: No, no, no, it's fine, it's fine.
- 3:00SPEAKER_04: Like that's a that's a that's a good thing.
- 3:01SPEAKER_04: We should actually sit down one day and break it down, put players to their superhero counterparts, like what footballer matches with superhero.
- 3:09SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah, I was struggle.
- 3:10SPEAKER_05: I don't know them enough.
- 3:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean, it should be an assignment for you to go and do that before we do it.
- 3:17SPEAKER_04: Well, yeah, so like I said, good weekend for the Eagles, terrible weekend for Manu fans.
- 3:21SPEAKER_04: They lost their coach and they are still losing, so we know that's not the problem with them.
- 3:25SPEAKER_04: Arsenal is still on top of the league as usual.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, today for once I don't I don't think I'm gonna back you.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: I think there's a point at time when you decide not to kick somebody that's down.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: I don't know that point.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: I don't know that point.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 3:45SPEAKER_04: It's still far.
- 3:46SPEAKER_04: That point is still far.
- 3:47SPEAKER_04: Maybe when they get relegated, then I can now stop and say, Hey, yeah, you're back for you guys.
- 3:57SPEAKER_04: We don't we don't discriminate, like discrimination is not a good thing, everybody should be treated equally, equal right for everyone.
- 4:03SPEAKER_04: But yeah, it's good, it's good to be back.
- 4:06SPEAKER_04: We have all four of us here today.
- 4:08SPEAKER_04: Uh Red, how are you doing?
- 4:10SPEAKER_05: I'm fine.
- 4:11SPEAKER_05: See, this is why I missed Keks last week as in the way, but yeah, yeah.
- 4:17SPEAKER_05: I know I'm I still missed you.
- 4:19SPEAKER_05: I just I it was a it was a test to see who was gonna run with it, and they ran with it.
- 4:25SPEAKER_05: Don't mind that, anyways.
- 4:28SPEAKER_05: Um come you better be winning.
- 4:32SPEAKER_05: That's all I say.
- 4:33SPEAKER_04: Come, come if we don't if we don't win, it doesn't change anything.
- 4:38SPEAKER_04: If we win, no but uh and uh sorry I don't know what's about football at the end of the season.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Man, you'll be very well wasted.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: They've only paid 40 games in the whole season, very well rested.
- 4:50SPEAKER_05: Man, you has manu has manually has the expectations, so we're good, yeah.
- 4:55SPEAKER_04: But yeah, good, even with your country being the way it is right now.
- 4:58SPEAKER_04: How is that going for you?
- 5:00SPEAKER_04: Hope it's not stressing you out too much.
- 5:02SPEAKER_04: Or are you allowed to talk?
- 5:04SPEAKER_04: I can talk.
- 5:04SPEAKER_05: Oh, me, I can talk.
- 5:05SPEAKER_05: Me, I can talk.
- 5:06SPEAKER_05: I can talk.
- 5:10SPEAKER_05: It's it's a shithole right now, it's a mess going on.
- 5:14SPEAKER_05: Well, we're hanging in here.
- 5:15SPEAKER_05: I don't focus on the news.
- 5:16SPEAKER_05: I focus on my on my bread.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: Okay, I don't know what okay.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: We're gonna get a police go ahead, but uh, you know what I was thinking the other day that as much as we have all our uh our philosophies, our policies, our uh what we like, we're almost helpless when this happens.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: There's nothing we can do.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: We can do it, yeah.
- 5:33SPEAKER_05: That's the that's the most frustrating part.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: We are thought some.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: We just okay, we're just watching.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: I'm praying for a good outcome.
- 5:41SPEAKER_05: Because we almost have zero zero agency, because the reality is the strong is will chance the weak, yes, yes, and they'll get away, and they'll get away with it, and there's nothing you can do about it.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: In a way, it's a good life lesson for those people coming out.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: Listen, don't be fooled by all these when when it sometimes when when the chips are down, the true nature of humanity comes out now.
- 6:02SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and it's still it's still the spoils of what still goes to the strong.
- 6:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think that's why superheroes make a good escape fantasy because it's like that's why the strongest being the strongest being moral.
- 6:14SPEAKER_04: So it's like, yeah, strength has immoral this deal rather than how it is in reality.
- 6:19SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, but yeah, makes sense.
- 6:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah, okay.
- 6:21SPEAKER_04: Kex, how are you doing?
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: I'm good today, it's good to be back.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: Good to be back.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: Happy new year, guys.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: Uh happy new year.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, I'm good.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: I'm good, you know.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: Can't complain.
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: Um, for once, for once in a long time, both my teams to this point so far, touch wood, are not giving me heart attacks and high blood pressure.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: It's a sad thing that on Wednesday now, two of my beloved teams are playing at exactly the same time.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: So I don't know what we're gonna do.
- 6:53SPEAKER_05: Who's playing?
- 6:54SPEAKER_05: Oh, um, yeah, oh CL and the Champions League.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, we we we're playing in the cup.
- 7:01SPEAKER_05: Oh, I wouldn't know about I wouldn't, I wouldn't know about that.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: Niggas playing almost the finals, yeah.
- 7:07SPEAKER_05: What cup are they playing in?
- 7:08SPEAKER_05: Do you know?
- 7:14SPEAKER_05: We wouldn't know about that.
- 7:15SPEAKER_05: We have no idea what you're talking about.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: You have no idea exactly at all.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: Also, Wednesday is also my normally my my comic reading day.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: That's because I thought yeah, all the comics come out here.
- 7:24SPEAKER_04: Okay, hopefully, Wednesday is going to be a fantastic date.
- 7:27SPEAKER_04: Touchwood touch wood on that.
- 7:29SPEAKER_04: Everything goes really well, but yeah, we are glad to be back.
- 7:33SPEAKER_04: And before we kick things off, a new trailer leaked.
- 7:37SPEAKER_04: Well, I can't call it a leak anymore because it feels very no, they're dropping that.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: I think I heard that they were looking at month by month or week by week.
- 7:46SPEAKER_04: It's week by week, uh, but it's dropped in the cinemas first, yeah, and then people record it and then it leaks, and then they drop it officially uh week after.
- 7:56SPEAKER_04: You're supposed to be going sit in this go and watch avatar in the cinemas and wait one week.
- 8:00SPEAKER_04: Got it, yeah.
- 8:01SPEAKER_04: Okay, but yeah, so this leak has dropped, and it's about the Wakandans, and the main focus is on Wakanda, and the surprising guest that gets the meet the Fantastic Four.
- 8:13SPEAKER_04: So, in this particular leak, if you've not seen it, there are so many fake leaks up online right now because people that watch it will go online and try to use AI to recreate a version they've seen.
- 8:24SPEAKER_04: We've seen so many different versions over the past few hours.
- 8:28SPEAKER_04: But the official trailer that leaked, I mean Caesar that dropped, we see Shuri narrating how she has lost everything, which is it's especially hard.
- 8:38SPEAKER_04: That she lost her brother, she lost her entire family in the last movie.
- 8:42SPEAKER_04: She's basically the last one.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: Not really, but okay, so it depends.
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: So it this depends on what I mean.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, I see where she's coming from, but she's got the I don't like I don't know.
- 8:55SPEAKER_01: Well that person's died as well.
- 8:57SPEAKER_04: Who the prince?
- 8:58SPEAKER_04: Yeah, no, I don't think so.
- 9:00SPEAKER_04: No, the prince is not even in Wakanda, if you remember, it's in your family, yeah.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: I'm not even sure she knows.
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: She's met now.
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: What do you mean she knows?
- 9:10SPEAKER_01: Did she meet?
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, she mentioned about the years.
- 9:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:14SPEAKER_04: But yeah, okay.
- 9:16SPEAKER_04: She talked about how she's lost her family, like she lost her brother and all of that.
- 9:19SPEAKER_04: And then we see her walking in the desert, which is surprising because the next person we see, we see Nemo on the throne, but the area also feels very desert-like.
- 9:28SPEAKER_04: So, this is my point.
- 9:29SPEAKER_04: I'm thinking this is after somebody somebody at has wiped out at uh or something like that, and yeah, or wiped out Atlantic because it feels very and the Atlanta are in the desert, yeah.
- 9:43SPEAKER_05: Just Nemo on the throne only on the throne in the desert, and it's like it's we have we saw we saw his um people breathing with the with the no that's fake.
- 9:52SPEAKER_04: That's fake that's fake.
- 9:55SPEAKER_04: Okay, all that is in it is just Nemo on his throne, okay.
- 10:00SPEAKER_04: But the throne feels very deserty, like, yeah, yeah.
- 10:06SPEAKER_04: And then we see Shuri and Umbaku walking up to greet somebody, and it turns out to be the thing.
- 10:13SPEAKER_04: Umbaku introduces himself as the king of Wakanda, which for a minute I completely forgot he became the king of Wakanda.
- 10:19SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and the thing introduces himself as um what's his name again?
- 10:25SPEAKER_04: Benjamin Grimm from from Clancy Street, and that is how the trailer ends.
- 10:30SPEAKER_04: The teaser ends, basically.
- 10:31SPEAKER_04: Okay, okay, all right so it's nice to tie all these three properties together because uh they were all introduced in Fantastic Four, so it makes sense that they will be the ones meeting the Fantastic Four first, but it also drops some hints at Nemo Nemo Nemo predates Fantastic Four, though.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, that's Nemo predates all of them.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: Oh, it predates all of them, him and it was reintroduced in the Fantastic Four, yeah.
- 10:54SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so it's fun to see them here, but it also drops some hints at what the plot like what's going on with Nemo and Atlantis.
- 11:02SPEAKER_04: Why is the thing coming to meet the Fantastic Four in the desert?
- 11:06SPEAKER_04: Why is it only the thing?
- 11:08SPEAKER_04: We have the rest of the Fantastic Four, basically, and yeah, yeah, right.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: So the rest of them be meeting other people, yeah, maybe other balls, yeah.
- 11:18SPEAKER_05: The problem they're probably meeting the other teams, yeah.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this trailer, maybe the magic people is my favorite so far for one reason, one reason early.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: Fantastic four so obviously uh I'm a fantastic four fanboy, yeah.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: So there's that, but that's not even it.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: It's the fact that uh Shuri and Neymar are on this team.
- 11:44SPEAKER_05: So you're still you're still hoping you're still hoping we're not gonna we're not gonna get we're not gonna get that.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: We're getting it.
- 11:49SPEAKER_01: I'm thinking now we're getting it.
- 11:50SPEAKER_05: Sure, Shuri's gonna Shuri's gonna do it and yes and say he's not coming back.
- 11:54SPEAKER_05: He won't be no, he won't be joining us.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: Yes, I think Shuri's gonna say that.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: Do that do that thing.
- 12:00SPEAKER_01: I can't wait for it.
- 12:02SPEAKER_04: Let's see.
- 12:03SPEAKER_04: Given how the last movie ended, yes, it will take a lot.
- 12:08SPEAKER_04: I can see it happening, but it will take a lot for them to get to that point.
- 12:12SPEAKER_05: I need that too.
- 12:12SPEAKER_05: And should we be the one?
- 12:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah, surely being the one to do it.
- 12:16SPEAKER_04: I'm not sure it will go over well as well as if it's Tichala that did it.
- 12:22SPEAKER_04: Well, but yeah, but I'm not curious.
- 12:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah, no, I mean Chichala, I mean, I I'm saying they'll probably do away with the storyline, but Shuly being the one to do that particular action.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: I've got a feeling part of the reason why I'm saying this is now I and don't get me wrong, the resource might be wrong.
- 12:42SPEAKER_01: I've got a feeling they're gonna hit the high notes from from the arcs, you know, like it like it's I've been here before.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: But my my challenge here is yes, I don't want them to just put it in there without the background without the context, without the weight.
- 13:04SPEAKER_05: So that's what I already flooded, he flooded Wakanda, so there's but in the last in the last uh kind of movie, he felt like they come to an alliance, no, an agreement.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: An agreement he had, but they made it clear that at the end, yeah, that's still had plans, yes, yeah, yeah.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, he was still paid.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: So unless maybe he does something again, he will.
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: I think he will.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: I think I think he might press a button or or if unless he does something again, if it would feel like you guys are already agreed now, as in no, but if he presses, but I'm seeing that now.
- 13:44SPEAKER_04: If you press it like if he presses that button here, yes, in this particular then I can see Sherry doing it.
- 13:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, presses her button a lot, no, presses the button button, the incussion button.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: Oh, destroy to wipe out sorry, yeah.
- 13:59SPEAKER_04: So if it does something, if he pulls something like that, I can definitely see Sherry doing it.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: But yeah, she would she would have calls too, but just like this guy is actually a genocidal like killer, like that, just like zone is yeah, yeah.
- 14:13SPEAKER_04: I and if if Atlantis was destroyed, like people are presuming based on the trailer that someone wiped out Atlantis, and that is what we are seeing in the trailer, and that gives them the cost to do something like that, yeah.
- 14:26SPEAKER_04: Then yeah, I can see it happening.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: I'm just thinking about I'm just thinking about Talohan or whatever it is that they call Talohan.
- 14:36SPEAKER_05: I would I would prefer if maybe I don't know, maybe maybe they start calling him submariner.
- 14:44SPEAKER_05: I would like that.
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: That's all you want that's always a claim.
- 14:47SPEAKER_05: That's always been a cool name.
- 14:48SPEAKER_05: That has always been a couple of I love, I love, I love that name.
- 14:51SPEAKER_05: That has always been a cool one.
- 14:52SPEAKER_05: I love that name.
- 14:55SPEAKER_05: If if someone like Ben who just met him or Fantastic Father just met him, just like oh yeah, we used to be like subtraining.
- 15:02SPEAKER_04: You don't like Namor.
- 15:04SPEAKER_05: No, no, I no, actually like Namo.
- 15:06SPEAKER_05: I do I do, but I prefer Nemo.
- 15:09SPEAKER_05: No, but I prefer I prefer I prefer I prefer submarina.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: No, I I like the full one.
- 15:13SPEAKER_01: Name all the submarina.
- 15:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I like call it the full the full name.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: Okay, guys, I've been saying the same Atlantis Atlantis.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: I've been thinking about the comic book Atlantis.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but now that I'm just like waiting back okay to the movie when I'm like it's definitely quite a dull place.
- 15:30SPEAKER_03: It's a very dull place.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Taloca, Talohan, whatever.
- 15:38SPEAKER_05: It just was not but I would advise you to tell you.
- 15:45SPEAKER_04: I mean, this is gonna be a long movie, almost four hours.
- 15:48SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but I've been where Darkwa was with um with gore, and if there was anything that could mess up the I mean, you set yourself up for gore.
- 15:58SPEAKER_03: That was Darf Taeky now.
- 16:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you set yourself up with that.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: I think I think I think don't get me wrong, I think it's I think it's gonna be a good, I think it's gonna be a good film, very good film.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: I think it's gonna be lots of no no no no, it's gonna be good, it's gonna be lots of action, lots of stuff.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: But is it gonna be the translation of it now?
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, on record is called Avengers Doomsday, right?
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: Yes, yeah.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: Do you think it'll be very FF focused?
- 16:27SPEAKER_01: No, you don't think so?
- 16:29SPEAKER_04: I I don't know why I I couldn't.
- 16:31SPEAKER_04: I don't know what focus it would be.
- 16:33SPEAKER_04: Like, I think it will be very Tony focused, and I mean okay, FF focused, because I think it will focus a lot on Doom Doom being the opposite of Tony Stack.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: I mean, yeah, because it's so and that's my point.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: Doesn't because it's Doom, does that mean a lot of the screen time will be on the FF?
- 16:53SPEAKER_04: I doubt it because if it's Doom and it's Doom as Tony Stack, it's going to be focusing more on his relationship with right.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: So you're not talking about okay.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: So this is what we disagree.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: I'm now more convinced of entirely now that this character of Doom has nothing to do with Tony Stark at all.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: You've been convinced of that for the very character called Victor Von Duke is not switched who is not like an alternate version of Anthony Stark complex.
- 17:28SPEAKER_04: Oh, that's not true.
- 17:29SPEAKER_04: It's not for okay, like the story, the narrative story behind that.
- 17:34SPEAKER_05: Think about our brain will our brains cannot take it.
- 17:37SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we'll not complete costume.
- 17:43SPEAKER_05: We'll be seen, we'll be seen Iron Man's costume.
- 17:45SPEAKER_04: Like the fact that the reveal was him removing the doomsmarks, yeah, to show Tony Stark.
- 17:50SPEAKER_04: It's the same way it removed the Iron Man masking.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: You know, do you know do you know do you know how many times do you know how many times if you take your business?
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: Do you know how many times we're gonna ask that why is Iron Man bad?
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: That's the whole point of the story.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: Why is Iron Man?
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, we keep asking you why is Iron Man.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: I just got the actor back to place somebody else completely.
- 18:17SPEAKER_04: Imagine that explanation, and then you're telling me that they want to miss the beat of Tony and and Peter talking and Peter fighting explaining it to Pib as well.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: Or you want to tell me to make the version more common reason than anything, but this whole Tony stack has done things, it's more it's worse off.
- 18:35SPEAKER_01: No, the challenge that it's an alternative version, no, it's a version of who of a dude we've never met.
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: So it's so it's not an alternative version anymore.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: Then that is doom.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: It's only as an alternate version.
- 18:49SPEAKER_04: That but you don't get you are thinking Victor Von Doom is doom.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: No, Victor Von Doom is an alternate version of Tony Stark.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: No, you're the one who said alternate version, yeah.
- 18:58SPEAKER_04: Of Tony Stark.
- 18:59SPEAKER_04: No, I said alternate version.
- 19:00SPEAKER_04: Okay, of Tony Stark, yeah.
- 19:02SPEAKER_04: Doom is alternate version of Tony Stark, yeah.
- 19:04SPEAKER_04: Yes, so you're not seeing any Victor von Doom king of what is an alternate version of that'd be a terrible thing to do.
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: So you, but it's going to work in the story to me.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, to me.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, terrible thing.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, sorry, sorry, before we found the rabbit hole, sorry.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: So imagine Tony Stark had the accident with the thing, and he's in the in the um in the cave, and then he deals the armor, kills those guys, escapes, and then he now takes on a whole new persona as this warmonger called Victor von Doom, never goes back to America, goes to Europe, sets up in a castle, becomes this whole new persona, i.e., like the mandarin, like was for the mandarin, or he calls himself Victor von Doom, and then he takes on the persona of Dr.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: Doom.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: So there's no but it is conceivable that somebody that know that the mention would would steal from the came back to the state.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Don't get wrong and then.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: You you can write the story to make it possible that why is doom.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I've got no that it's possible to me.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: I just thought it to be to wind me up that MCU's doom.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: But of course, not a doom.
- 20:15SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but you're all beef with that is because you know Doom.
- 20:18SPEAKER_04: Yeah, exactly.
- 20:18SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah, of course.
- 20:19SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so if you didn't know Doom, which is majority of the MCU fans, they are going to be seeing, they're going to have this emotional attachment to oh no, this is an evil version of Tony that is trying to kill Peter, that is trying to kill his friends, that's trying to kill Cap.
- 20:32SPEAKER_04: And you'll now see you'll see replays of scenes like that, like parallels of those scenes where it's fighting with Cap, where it's fighting with Peter, and all those love you 3000 is now in the opposite direction.
- 20:42SPEAKER_04: And then rather than him snapping to save the world, it's snapping to destroy the world.
- 20:46SPEAKER_04: And you're like that emotional act is going to be there for them.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: So for you, the thing is, yeah, it has to be emotional.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: It's it's going to be action packs, very, very trump draw action, but it has to be emotional.
- 20:59SPEAKER_04: Which I don't know if anyone no, they're going to nail it with say they have Tony, they're going to nail the emotions.
- 21:04SPEAKER_04: That is the easiest thing to link emotions from people with Tony.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: Then it's going to be a very good film.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: Then it's going to be a very good film.
- 21:11SPEAKER_05: So I'm going to give you one point one point seven billion.
- 21:13SPEAKER_05: I'm just going to get you're just going to get another infinity war with a part one.
- 21:18SPEAKER_05: Then we'll not we'll not take it over to rather exactly.
- 21:22SPEAKER_04: We are going to get this snap at the end of part one with Tony snapping, saying this is it the way Doom snapped at the end of what's this thing called?
- 21:29SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so we're getting Secret Avengers, and then we go to part two.
- 21:32SPEAKER_05: Infinity Wars finished, then we'll go to Battle World and Secret Wars.
- 21:36SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:37SPEAKER_05: Do we get do we get Black Swan?
- 21:39SPEAKER_05: I've been asking.
- 21:42SPEAKER_04: So remember the end of Avengers, the beauty time runs out.
- 21:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah, where Doom snaps and creates battle world.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so so when you say snap, it's not like they're gonna start disappearing that they didn't finish the war.
- 21:57SPEAKER_04: No, but it's going to snap and destroy the entire world, and all the universe is going to be destroyed, and then you see Doom at the end and saying this is the end.
- 22:05SPEAKER_04: That particular image.
- 22:06SPEAKER_04: I'm going to see that particular image of Doom facing the celestials and snapping and all the worlds collapsing together.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think we're going to get black the black swan.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: You think so?
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: I hope so.
- 22:18SPEAKER_05: We have to because I want I want to prop she was a proper chaos agent.
- 22:23SPEAKER_05: We need her.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: I think very central to the plot.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: Um, Red, do you think you're gonna get your scene?
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: The scene you like the most?
- 22:32SPEAKER_05: I don't think so.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: Paul praying and the hammer comes to his hand through.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: We're not going to get that.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: We're not gonna get that.
- 22:40SPEAKER_05: No, we don't have enough time.
- 22:43SPEAKER_04: They can't do a whole what's this thing called a whole space war act in this movie.
- 22:48SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we're gonna get we're gonna get we're gonna get um a spine, a thin of spine pole.
- 22:54SPEAKER_04: That oh, yeah, not here in the next one.
- 22:57SPEAKER_05: In in the next one, we are in the next one.
- 22:59SPEAKER_04: We're gonna get we are going to get that push.
- 23:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 23:01SPEAKER_05: Definitely.
- 23:02SPEAKER_05: Okay, cool.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: Can we talk about the two-faced casting?
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah, in the Batman 2 or the Batman 2.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I think we I think we kind of mentioned this weeks back.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, when we are trying to guess who Scarlett was being who Scarlet, yes, we said that Scarlett would be is it Glenda, or I can't remember her name, the wife of Two Face.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so it feels like this is gonna be the long Halloween story, guess what?
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, yeah, once you guys said that that was is Glenda and he's Too Faced, yeah.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: To me, it just now everything's gonna fall fall into place almost that which is it's very strange because in the comic books, Black Widow and Bucky are an item, yeah, right?
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: And in this one, it's almost like Scarlet Yohan and Bucky and this thing are question how big of a role would Glenda have?
- 24:05SPEAKER_04: It has to be a massive role, yeah.
- 24:08SPEAKER_04: She's the second she's the second protagonist, or the second antagonist, whatever, yeah.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: And what I'm all convinced is her, it's because even even following the comment a bit is initially Glenda's like a normal human being, blah blah blah, and then we start to see, oh, there's a bit more to what she's doing, and I can easily I can easily see Scarlett pulling that off.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: She's she's she's she's she's a great actor, not great, but she's a really good actress.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: She's and she would take it very not that small role, I think.
- 24:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you can't cast Scarlett the biggest star in the movie in a cameo, but that's why it was a very a bit of a that's why that's why that's why I'm asking that question.
- 24:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah, because she has to be playing a very complex, a very interesting character, not because she picks her rules at this point.
- 24:52SPEAKER_05: I'll come back to Keks on that great actress, but let's move on.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I think it's a very good.
- 24:57SPEAKER_05: Okay, I think yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:58SPEAKER_04: I don't know why I don't own that kind of thing with your chest.
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: She's missed.
- 25:02SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: I think she's I think she's a very honestly.
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: I genuinely think she's a very good actress.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: There's that movie she did Adam Driver, that film.
- 25:12SPEAKER_04: She's a great actress, you guys.
- 25:16SPEAKER_04: She's a great actress.
- 25:17SPEAKER_04: I don't know why Reddit arguing, yeah.
- 25:21SPEAKER_04: I don't understand.
- 25:22SPEAKER_05: I think I just keep defining words every time.
- 25:25SPEAKER_05: Great, yeah.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's so let me put this way.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: Let me let me put it this way.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: So sorry, let me put it this way, right?
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: I don't think she's Leonardo DiCaprio.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: I think Leonardo Capri is a great actor.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: Yes, I don't think she's Leonardo DiCaprio.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: I think she's very good.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: Because when you talk about Leo is that yeah, that's Meryl's tweet.
- 25:47SPEAKER_01: That's yeah, you can't, yeah.
- 25:49SPEAKER_01: You can't put it on close, you can't put it in that in that level.
- 25:55SPEAKER_04: Yeah, she's not quite excuse me.
- 25:58SPEAKER_04: She did what's this thing called because she's does pop things, it did like lost in translation.
- 26:02SPEAKER_04: No, no, no, no, I'm not taking that away.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm not taking that away from her, yeah.
- 26:06SPEAKER_04: She's a great actress.
- 26:07SPEAKER_04: I beg Keks can.
- 26:08SPEAKER_04: I mean, red can jump inside if I think he wants to argue that one.
- 26:18SPEAKER_05: Google now and ask AI if just call it your handson as a great.
- 26:21SPEAKER_01: Why would I why would I take AI over myself, please?
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: I beg.
- 26:24SPEAKER_01: Uh red.
- 26:24SPEAKER_01: I think last morning tackling she's not great.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: She's not great, she's not good.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: So now you now pick up on your your your your hand post and give you that answer.
- 26:36SPEAKER_05: I'll settle for the I'll I'll settle for a very good, but uh great.
- 26:40SPEAKER_05: We don't dish out like that now.
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: Weird question.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: That's a tribute.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: Who's better?
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: Her or Scarlett, her or then he said I want to say Scarlett Johansson or let's see if Olson.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: And I think it says Scarlett Johansson or Scarlett Which.
- 27:04SPEAKER_05: No, no, she's better, she's better than Olson, though.
- 27:07SPEAKER_01: You think so?
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: This is where I disagree.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 27:11SPEAKER_01: I think Olson, if anything, I think I'll I'll pick Olson over her.
- 27:16SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 27:20SPEAKER_05: Name two other things Olsen was in that you can rate.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: You know, fairly, I've not seen a lot of things.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: I've seen obviously in all the the vision.
- 27:28SPEAKER_05: Marvel stuff like that.
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I think the other thing I've seen I I remember from top of a head now is the Godzilla one.
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: Okay, I'm trying to think what else I've seen.
- 27:36SPEAKER_01: Okay, but I've been very interested in MC alone, her performances have been way better than Scotty Young's for me.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: When she's just an anger, uh just a sadness.
- 27:47SPEAKER_04: Because Carlette has not been given that range in our performance.
- 27:49SPEAKER_04: Her performance has been super spy.
- 27:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 27:53SPEAKER_04: It's not an excuse.
- 27:54SPEAKER_04: Listen, I said an excuse.
- 27:56SPEAKER_04: They said I want to play emotional border.
- 27:59SPEAKER_04: Are you telling me that OCT?
- 28:01SPEAKER_01: Calm down, calm down.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: I'm telling you, she's done more than I've seen your answer do.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: You are saying this is because ADB ABC.
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: That is a story.
- 28:10SPEAKER_01: What I've seen, she's performed.
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: I mean, don't wrong, Scarlet has had some good things.
- 28:16SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm not dissing Scarlet's your answer.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: I know you're not dissing Scarlet in end game.
- 28:21SPEAKER_01: I think was her best performance, if I've been honest.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: Was end game when you know when she was tired and she was having all those issues trying to sort what I think you answered, I think she's saying Scarlet has not been given to the range that Elizabeth has been given to play.
- 28:36SPEAKER_04: Elizabeth has been given a lot more deeper than more emotionally complex than compared to Scarlet.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: What's that Nigerian phrase?
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: You expect tired.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: Oh no evidence.
- 28:47SPEAKER_04: No, what you know, we don't want to understand Scarlet Slander here.
- 28:51SPEAKER_04: So before we deep into this I said she's very good.
- 28:56SPEAKER_04: She's a great actress.
- 28:57SPEAKER_04: Let's move on.
- 29:00SPEAKER_03: Okay, let's move on.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: Let's move on.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: Let's move on.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: Should we go to comic books that we are anticipating for 20?
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: Or let's talk about the events.
- 29:16SPEAKER_01: But um, are you are you gonna talk are you gonna walk us through the list?
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: Okay, no, just yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 29:25SPEAKER_01: One by one, and we'll give quick views on okay.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: Uh Marvel's Armageddon.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: This is the core Marvel Universe's big crossover event for 2026, spare headed by Chip Zadoski and his promise to shake up the Marvel franchise in a major way.
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: Preceded by Wolverine Weapons of Armageddon miniseries in February.
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: So uh Marvel's Armageddon, we don't know much about it, we just know that it is going to be the big crossover for 2026.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: And it's Chip Zidowski.
- 29:52SPEAKER_01: Um, Chip makes me say, made me perk up.
- 30:00SPEAKER_01: Chip made you perk up.
- 30:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the name Marvel I'm again made me like depressed.
- 30:06SPEAKER_01: So now I'm back halfway now.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: Okay, yeah, I like I'm I'm I'm a big chip fanboy.
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: Let's be very clear.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: Um this even despite his foolishness in on Batman, I'm I'm still a big chip fanboy.
- 30:21SPEAKER_01: Okay, okay.
- 30:24SPEAKER_04: I'm not like I've not been excited for a Marvel event in a very long time, and this is not one that is looking like it's going to make me more interested because I think it's going to be focusing on like super soldiers, weapon X program, and all of that, and trying to make that into a big thing for Marvel, yeah, and how that turns to the end of the world for Marvel.
- 30:49SPEAKER_04: But I'm like, yeah, I don't really care.
- 30:52SPEAKER_04: This kind of story in a right, I think they tell me that this is a looky act for a particular role.
- 30:56SPEAKER_04: I would have been more interested in that you can explore things better than just blowing up the end of the world.
- 31:02SPEAKER_04: But right now, there's no end of the world story that these guys can do for events like this that would interest me.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: So no, yeah.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: I mean, I I I'm with Tundra.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: I mean, the days of big events.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: I think we I think honestly, I I think there's a place for them, but maybe I've just maybe it's not for me.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: Whatever.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: You know, I think we we we had a reasonable one in in 2025, that Imperial.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: I quite liked it.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: I don't even know if I would call it a big event, but it was something, yeah.
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: Um, and I liked it.
- 31:39SPEAKER_00: Maybe because you know it was it was Richard Rider, it was um um some of the guardians of the galaxy type stuff.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: Maybe there was a particular comic book.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you guys read this one, it was where was that mad man that is in the Inhumans?
- 31:57SPEAKER_00: Um Black Ball's brother started Maximus, yeah.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: Maximus, I think, was talking to that very old creature.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: The betting guy, no grandmaster, the grandmaster, the betting guy, yeah.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: The grandmaster, yes, where they were they were they were they were almost like betting against betting on something, and then they were trying to almost first master each other.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: Very good comment, yeah.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: And then Black Ball comes at the end and then speaks into the grandmaster's ear and just blows everywhere.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: So that's that was a good event, but typically, you know, the the revelation event, the you know, and just not one, and and unfortunately, I'm not big on chip zandasky right now.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: Uh, I'm I'm not he doesn't have a lot of money in my bank at all.
- 32:55SPEAKER_00: Um of the money, yeah.
- 33:02SPEAKER_04: No, I'm not I'm not big on chip at all, especially not his events.
- 33:06SPEAKER_04: Uh if you give if tell me chip is writing one long run somewhere about one character and it's taking a big stuff, yeah.
- 33:13SPEAKER_04: I might read that, but like it's big events.
- 33:15SPEAKER_04: I'm not a fan.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: It feels honestly one thing I think you should do is I think you should write a small character.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: I think you should write it.
- 33:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't consider small.
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: I think like a C list character, you know.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: I feel like there's more opportunities to explore these characters when it's not when it's not someone that or any small shake destabilizes the world of who they're supposed to be like, I know that person wouldn't do that.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: Just pick the the off-beast ones and just do something and write a story.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: So we can be like, okay, yeah, sink your teeth into it.
- 33:58SPEAKER_04: This is not fair to say, and I think oh, sorry, I wasn't saying this is not fair to him, but cheap is like Tom Taylor, but not as good.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: So they I don't even mean to say it, but it's true.
- 34:12SPEAKER_00: It's not Tom will land, but Tom will pick an off-beat character, yeah.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: He'll pick human target, or he will pick Adam Strange, or Tom Strong, or you know, Tom can still do something.
- 34:28SPEAKER_04: No, not Tom King or Tom Taylor.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: Tom King will do off beat Tom Taylor Tom Taylor, Tom Taylor without you should be agreeing.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's saying it's better than Tom King.
- 34:40SPEAKER_04: Not I didn't say Tom King go that point in case you missed it's Tom Taylor.
- 34:43SPEAKER_04: I'm talking about.
- 34:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I knew you're talking about so so Greg, you agree that Tom Taylor is better than I agree that 100%.
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: You know what you you guys deserve what you get.
- 34:55SPEAKER_05: Give give three three of your best Taylor books and three of your Zodaske books.
- 35:00SPEAKER_01: It's the eddy, but it's it's not it's not it's not that he's steady eddy, he's very good at writing.
- 35:07SPEAKER_01: You you know, you will not say it's you it's they'll be enjoyable, but it will never pass to it won't pass eight.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah, but seven it delivers seven sixes.
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: It delivers it up to eight.
- 35:21SPEAKER_04: So I can I can tell you that I've I've read I read a three book that that just that last right sauce that was that last price three, yeah.
- 35:34SPEAKER_04: The last price you are doing because it was that bad.
- 35:39SPEAKER_04: It was not that started with was it Greenland?
- 35:41SPEAKER_04: Something destroying I think it was yeah, it's when the way to detail that it did rubbish.
- 35:48SPEAKER_04: Then the night the Batman at the night book he wrote that's an issue series that I didn't like at all.
- 35:54SPEAKER_01: We've talked to we've talked to what yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: Okay, so should we just quickly go around and say looking forward to here on the red?
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: I don't care.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: I don't care.
- 36:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I'm I'm gonna go to skip it.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: Good attitude.
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: Um, I will pick and choose that one.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: You yeah, I want yes, yeah.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: Just to counter you assume next.
- 36:22SPEAKER_04: Please count us in this one as well.
- 36:26SPEAKER_00: Like I'll I know I know you are you have to count us in this next one.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: This is DC's next level.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: Following DCKO crossover, this initiative, part of the larger DC All in era, introduces a new wave of talent-driven character focus series in March, including the new ongoing titles for Noble, Batwoman, and Deathstroke, the territory later.
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: DC next level.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: So if I understand this correctly, they are doing a DC All in era, which is like like I don't know, confluence, like they are doing like maybe like two years of DC all in stuff, like a program, and then under that, they are doing like streams of okay, um uh KO um DC KO DC this one, DC is that what they're doing?
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: Absolute is under DC all in.
- 37:23SPEAKER_04: So DC next level is like the next is stage two of DC all in.
- 37:28SPEAKER_04: DC KO was stage one.
- 37:29SPEAKER_04: DC next level is stage two.
- 37:32SPEAKER_00: DC, yes, yes, exactly.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: Of DC all in, yeah.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: But because absolute is under all in, yeah, but that's on its own.
- 37:44SPEAKER_00: I just love it's not going to happen.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: They're not all going to join our okay.
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 37:50SPEAKER_01: So I just love seeing you two extent out of no sense.
- 37:57SPEAKER_04: I mean, it's the explanation they give to us.
- 37:59SPEAKER_04: Are we trying to like okay, how does this make sense in terms of what's going on?
- 38:02SPEAKER_04: But yeah, DC, DC all in is basically what it is is like creator-driven, according to them, creator-driven stories in the vein of what they are doing in the absolute universe, with characters that are not in the main continuity of DC, so they can actually create the freedom to tell wild stories like that.
- 38:21SPEAKER_01: So so okay, so can I hit pause here?
- 38:24SPEAKER_01: So, what you're saying to me, and I and honestly, I did not realize this.
- 38:29SPEAKER_01: You're telling me that, and you're talking about DC, what do you call it again?
- 38:34SPEAKER_01: Orden, all them no, the next one, this is the next level, next level level.
- 38:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so you're saying DC next level is giving creators freedom with certain lower level characters to do whatever they like, like they did absolutely back my absolute process.
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: So they don't misinterpret this.
- 38:53SPEAKER_04: This is no, that is what that is, it's not absolute, but like what they are trying to like creator driven, like absolute, but not it's not a it's not a brand new universe.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, yeah, but what's like okay, within within BC's universe, these guys want a lot more free reign.
- 39:10SPEAKER_04: I'm guessing that is, I mean, that is the way they are trying to sell it if that happens, okay.
- 39:15SPEAKER_04: What it sounds like, yeah, and it's some actually good writers.
- 39:20SPEAKER_04: I don't mind.
- 39:21SPEAKER_04: So I I want to ask it, might be good.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: I heard you guys talking about this last week, and I didn't say something.
- 39:31SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna say something that people are going to you guys are gonna lose your mind and if you go for it, go for it, you won't get cancelled.
- 39:43SPEAKER_05: You've already been cancelled already.
- 39:48SPEAKER_04: Okay, you shouldn't have said that.
- 39:50SPEAKER_04: You shouldn't have said that.
- 39:51SPEAKER_05: You what you really like, you really like I've never really liked Lobo.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: Oh, you're saying wait, I've that's not never read that's not that.
- 40:00SPEAKER_00: Lobo comic.
- 40:02SPEAKER_04: Oh no, that's fine.
- 40:03SPEAKER_04: There's not there's no good logo comic book.
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: Okay, so is it that we like the sorry?
- 40:08SPEAKER_01: No, you can't come.
- 40:10SPEAKER_00: No, is it that we like the idea of Lobo, or we've read some good Lobo stories?
- 40:15SPEAKER_05: Because I can't think Tangent is a good Tang Genshaw character in the stories, so not by himself.
- 40:22SPEAKER_01: Is it good that I'm gonna need to show up to fight Superman to fight somebody?
- 40:25SPEAKER_01: But by itself, I I I uh to what you said is controversial at all.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Because he's he's so popular, like even like in secondary school, like he was so but I would read the comic books, and I'll be like, I'm not really this is like overly violent, but I don't still like the same way and fragging and is that the same way I would like the same way.
- 40:49SPEAKER_04: I would not read a Joker book by itself because I don't care for Joker as a crack.
- 40:53SPEAKER_04: Like, if you tell me, oh, you're writing a Joker novel, a Joker comic book, I'm not going to care.
- 40:58SPEAKER_04: It's like it's a it's to me, it's a very boring character.
- 41:00SPEAKER_04: What makes it interesting is that it's an antagonist to Batman or to somebody else.
- 41:05SPEAKER_04: It's the same way Lobo is for me.
- 41:06SPEAKER_04: Lobo is interesting because he's fighting Superman or he's fighting someone without like without that care.
- 41:12SPEAKER_04: No, people like people like yeah, Joker.
- 41:15SPEAKER_01: People like Joker, yeah.
- 41:16SPEAKER_01: And people like Lobo, I think more along the lines, how I think it's closer to how people liked Wolverine.
- 41:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's these bad guys, smokes cigar, looks, looks, looks cool, it's got it's rides a bike, doesn't care, super strong, doesn't care.
- 41:33SPEAKER_01: So he's an anti-hero.
- 41:35SPEAKER_01: I think he's even more villain than anything.
- 41:37SPEAKER_01: He's a villain, he's a villain.
- 41:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but it's also they kind of make him he likes dolphins.
- 41:41SPEAKER_01: So if you kill dolphins, he will attack, you know.
- 41:43SPEAKER_01: So I can see why people like him.
- 41:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 41:46SPEAKER_01: Has he had great arcs, great stories?
- 41:48SPEAKER_01: Not that much.
- 41:50SPEAKER_01: I've I've seen some comics where I liked how they put certain people have portrayed him.
- 41:57SPEAKER_01: So I can see I can see why people like him, but I could I can also like you kegs.
- 42:00SPEAKER_01: I can understand if you don't like him, you know.
- 42:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, the the the only the only instance I've actually even liked logo thinking about is in the animated series.
- 42:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like that's where the love comes from.
- 42:11SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's not where the love comes because even before then, today there were people that it's been popular for a while, it's quite popular because it's possible.
- 42:20SPEAKER_05: So I'm like, is there a comic book?
- 42:23SPEAKER_05: So I'll tell you, I'll tell you something as crazy as it seems.
- 42:26SPEAKER_05: Before GIFs started on this animated stuff, but do you remember?
- 42:30SPEAKER_05: We used to have this comic book website.
- 42:31SPEAKER_05: We used to get stuff, yeah.
- 42:34SPEAKER_05: When we're on CN that we get like all the like superhero things that the moving or put as uh avatars on, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:42SPEAKER_05: Lobo was one of the most popular downloads on that site at the time, like long time ago.
- 42:50SPEAKER_00: Okay, I think people like the badass, yeah.
- 42:54SPEAKER_01: And they design the his design look, I guess.
- 42:58SPEAKER_05: You know, it looks the punk crazy punk rock look.
- 43:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, people went crazy when they were designed for new 52.
- 43:07SPEAKER_00: Who's this five point?
- 43:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, people lost people hated that.
- 43:12SPEAKER_04: But remember, logo came up in the time of what's this thing called the edgy, the grim dark era.
- 43:18SPEAKER_04: He was unable to bike, he had a smoking cigar, he had yeah, the L Metic, he has destroyed this planet, he plays football with the he has a code, he fits that stereotype a lot.
- 43:32SPEAKER_04: Like the you remember biker my biker, yeah.
- 43:39SPEAKER_05: I remember Mars, yeah, yeah, with the same vibe, and they were very and they were very popular.
- 43:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I like biker mice for Mars a lot.
- 43:47SPEAKER_00: So it's a lot of global comic now, yeah.
- 43:51SPEAKER_04: There's gonna be Scotty Young writing it too.
- 43:57SPEAKER_04: Okay, yeah.
- 43:59SPEAKER_04: So it's like you're not at all.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: I'll read I'll I'll read the first issue, but I I have low expectations, very low expectations.
- 44:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah, because if it's a um if it's like absolute, I can see why you can take a logo comic and make it interesting.
- 44:15SPEAKER_04: Like it's a character you can actually make interesting, you can tell the interesting stories about it, put him in situations that's that throw him off beats, yeah, put him in situations where he's fighting, like give put logo on a monster planet where he's fighting monsters, you can make that interesting because it's like this guy for me, Battle Cat from Invincible.
- 44:35SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 44:36SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so you can do a pure action series with Lobo, you can do a character series with Lobo.
- 44:41SPEAKER_04: There is like it's fertile enough for that, so I wouldn't mind.
- 44:46SPEAKER_00: All right, we'll see.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: All right, all right, fair enough.
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: Um, so yeah, your name for Lobo, yeah, yeah.
- 44:53SPEAKER_04: Nay for me.
- 44:56SPEAKER_04: Then the remaining is um Batwoman by Greg Greg Rockart.
- 45:01SPEAKER_01: Oh god, I was gonna say I was gonna say nay when you say Batwoman.
- 45:05SPEAKER_04: I was I was I was I the name was like yeah, yeah, I mean when they say it's creator driven, that's what they mean now, like is it creators that are driving?
- 45:20SPEAKER_01: So it's that's a year for me based on the writer, not the character.
- 45:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, a big one, a big one.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: I mean, it just goes to it, it generally goes to show the power of a good writer that he will he will pick a good writer will pick I don't know um Adam Warlock, or I don't know what's the name of that guy that was A Bob, that guy that was um the hog's friend, Rick Jones, yeah.
- 45:47SPEAKER_00: And you'll be like, because that guy's writing it, I'm gonna read it.
- 45:51SPEAKER_00: And yeah, I if they're a groker book, I will read it.
- 45:56SPEAKER_04: I mean, see, for me, otherwise I wouldn't.
- 45:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah, for these three writers, I know they are good writers, so I'm going to give their issue once a try a try for the writers they've picked for these books.
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, I will read more than issue one of Batwoman.
- 46:11SPEAKER_00: I will give it, I will give it a group of five issues before it uh it falls off.
- 46:17SPEAKER_00: Red, we're talking about Greg Rocker writing a Batman yeah or day.
- 46:22SPEAKER_05: Definitely, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 46:25SPEAKER_05: If if it is if you can stay on point, yeah.
- 46:28SPEAKER_00: Maybe it can stay on point.
- 46:29SPEAKER_00: Death Stroke, who is writing Death Stroke today?
- 46:31SPEAKER_04: Death Stroke is.
- 46:32SPEAKER_04: I'm not sure of who this writer is.
- 46:34SPEAKER_04: It's Tony Flicks, is uh, yeah, it's a no, he is uh what's this thing called?
- 46:39SPEAKER_04: He's one of my words, but it's more of the side.
- 46:43SPEAKER_04: I don't like and it's going to be a from the description, it feels like a John Wick Death Stroke.
- 46:49SPEAKER_04: I don't like that you don't care.
- 46:51SPEAKER_04: I really do not like that class.
- 46:53SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you know, yeah, well, okay, but what about Wade?
- 46:55SPEAKER_05: Do you like you like um like um why don't you like death?
- 46:59SPEAKER_01: You know, you know, you know, I don't like you know, I don't like that pool.
- 47:02SPEAKER_01: My death stroke weird enough is in the in the in the cinemas, and because I've never been, I get I get I get I get deadpool.
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: I don't get that I don't get that stroke.
- 47:14SPEAKER_04: I get death stroke, I don't get dead pool.
- 47:16SPEAKER_04: Oh I could death why I like why I like Death Stroke is because of his family.
- 47:21SPEAKER_04: I like his family dynamics, his kids.
- 47:24SPEAKER_04: Okay, but you don't like the character, you but you like no like the character, the character Death Stroke, because of his family dynamics.
- 47:30SPEAKER_04: I'm like, okay, I can't I relate most of this character than I relate to Deadpool.
- 47:34SPEAKER_04: Is a joke to me, which I don't really care about.
- 47:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you said the other way around.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: That's why I was like, I thought you like Deadpool.
- 47:42SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no.
- 47:42SPEAKER_04: I don't like Deadpool.
- 47:43SPEAKER_04: I like Deadpool.
- 47:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't I don't Deadpool as well.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: I can do without reading a Deadpool comic.
- 47:47SPEAKER_04: Uh is if you I don't know I don't miss, I don't miss anything if you did it.
- 47:52SPEAKER_04: Deadpool from existence.
- 47:53SPEAKER_04: It's like yeah, I can't remember that I've read.
- 47:59SPEAKER_00: I was even reading the last one, and it's not bad.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: It has a door sign, it's not bad.
- 48:03SPEAKER_01: That that that was not bad actually.
- 48:04SPEAKER_01: I just read that one.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: But it's Deadpool, yeah.
- 48:06SPEAKER_01: But yeah, Deadpool himself as a character.
- 48:08SPEAKER_01: I mean, uh well enough is also a rip-up of Death Stroke.
- 48:11SPEAKER_01: I don't like Death Stroke, that's what I don't like the rip of the and the so in the I don't care for, I don't care for either of them.
- 48:16SPEAKER_00: Oh no, no, no.
- 48:17SPEAKER_00: I like I like Sleek Wilson a lot, actually.
- 48:20SPEAKER_04: I used whenever you tell that new 52 run was good.
- 48:25SPEAKER_04: The one that Chris got, yeah, exactly.
- 48:28SPEAKER_04: There's one issue, there was one issue he wrote with the Creeper.
- 48:30SPEAKER_04: I think that's one of my favorite issues of that particular run where the some people paid some old women paid gathered money to pay Wilson to kill someone that killed their child.
- 48:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I remember that one.
- 48:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yes, yes.
- 48:43SPEAKER_04: To show you that that was a issue.
- 48:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it was an overnovative.
- 48:46SPEAKER_00: There was a whole, yeah, there was a whole underlying gun violence.
- 48:50SPEAKER_00: There was like a series of uh a few episodes of that that was about gun violence, and it was it was it was it was quite nice, it was quite nice, yeah.
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so I I I would read, I would read that one.
- 49:00SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, okay, okay.
- 49:02SPEAKER_00: Dc all in what are they calling this next level, next stage, yeah.
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, what they're calling it, yeah.
- 49:08SPEAKER_04: So hopefully, hopefully it lands because yeah, DC has been killing it with creator books that are really good.
- 49:15SPEAKER_04: So if they are bringing that magic of absolute universe to the main universe and they're starting with these three crackers, I'm like, yes, please, I'll give it a chance, let it be good, let it get to that level of like we're getting good books.
- 49:26SPEAKER_00: They they they they they are the only one that is the only one that is up fantastic flash, it's so stupid.
- 49:37SPEAKER_04: See, if if you're giving me five good books with one fork up, I will take it.
- 49:42SPEAKER_04: If what if you're giving me five good books with one fork, I will take it like that.
- 49:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I'll take it like that.
- 49:53SPEAKER_00: That book is compared to the others.
- 49:55SPEAKER_01: That's making no comments.
- 49:57SPEAKER_00: So it's so made.
- 49:58SPEAKER_01: Can we move on, please?
- 49:59SPEAKER_01: Are you enjoying the book?
- 50:00SPEAKER_01: I'll make it no comment.
- 50:05SPEAKER_01: Are you enjoying that book?
- 50:06SPEAKER_01: You like it's what it was, it's good to move on.
- 50:15SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about the end of the ultimate universe, which it has started it has started wrapping up by kind of December, yeah, as well.
- 50:22SPEAKER_00: Uh Marvel's relaunch, the ultimate universe line wraps up in early 2026 with the conclusion of the ultimate endgame limited series, which began in late 2005.
- 50:33SPEAKER_00: This is a good opportunity, guys.
- 50:34SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about ultimate spider.
- 50:38SPEAKER_04: You know, if at the beginning of Ultimate and Absolute Universe, you asked me which one will crash and burn continue, I would have told you absolutely, and which one will be successful?
- 50:49SPEAKER_04: I'd have told you ultimate at the beginning of this thing.
- 50:51SPEAKER_04: Like once they announce that oh, yeah, Hickman is taking over the ultimate universe, it's going to be the architects, his grandfather in a line, and then Scott Snyder is doing the same thing for absolute where Dark Side is making the world bad.
- 51:04SPEAKER_04: Yes, indeed.
- 51:06SPEAKER_04: And he told me, okay, this is the concept we're having for these two books.
- 51:08SPEAKER_04: Which one do you think will succeed?
- 51:10SPEAKER_04: And which one do you think would fail?
- 51:11SPEAKER_04: It would have been an easy pick, but here we are that even the good books in the ultimate universe are not enough to make it stick for me.
- 51:23SPEAKER_01: It's it's sad.
- 51:24SPEAKER_01: So that's what issue with the ultimate.
- 51:30SPEAKER_01: The whole concept is I still like I still like the Spider-Man one.
- 51:35SPEAKER_01: But I can I I can see what the issue is.
- 51:38SPEAKER_01: I like I I love the is it called the Ultimate?
- 51:41SPEAKER_00: The Ultimate The Ultimate is very good.
- 51:46SPEAKER_01: I love the Ultimates, but the problem is and I don't know, I realize this.
- 51:54SPEAKER_01: What I'm doing is it's it's almost like uh what's it called when you when you're when you're when you're walking but you're not moving forward, it's like treading, it's treading, it's treading water, it's treading water till they get to the coming back of the makeup before it now hits it.
- 52:12SPEAKER_01: So it's like, oh, okay, what are you guys doing?
- 52:14SPEAKER_01: It's almost like oh, we're getting we're getting our people forces together to face the makeup when it comes out.
- 52:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh you just do something while while we get to that point.
- 52:22SPEAKER_01: You have to have 10 issues, 12 issues before we now do the ultimate end game.
- 52:27SPEAKER_01: So it's almost like uh cleaning water, the X-Men one.
- 52:30SPEAKER_01: This oh the X-Men one package one side.
- 52:38SPEAKER_04: Did anybody continue to work on that one?
- 52:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, absolutely.
- 52:43SPEAKER_00: Black Panther, yeah, uh Ryan Hill.
- 52:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 52:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's when I dropped after like two issues.
- 52:50SPEAKER_01: That's the phone like again, but even what happens is all these guys are fighting against their their own overlords or whatever they want to get to this point, but they're winning the small battles, but it's not it's like everything's just setting the putting the pieces in place for when the maker comes out of a city and then they have to fight it.
- 53:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so I have a different problem with the books compared to that.
- 53:15SPEAKER_04: For me, the books are like they're showing high-level summary of a story and getting to enjoy.
- 53:22SPEAKER_04: So, like for Spider-Man, he's always jumping one mot ahead, and we just see a snapshot.
- 53:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you don't get to really connect with the character, you don't really get to feel the emotions of the character.
- 53:31SPEAKER_04: Like up till now, we've been almost 20 issues, I think 16.
- 53:36SPEAKER_04: Yeah, 20, 25 or 26, yeah.
- 53:40SPEAKER_04: I still really, yeah.
- 53:41SPEAKER_04: Oh, Spider-Man, I still do not give a shit about their about the characters, the animation.
- 53:47SPEAKER_04: Because I'm will write some very good issues, they'll write some very good conversations, but that thorough line of building on the emotions in there is just not happening for me because they'll be in one situation this minute, then the next month is a completely different situation.
- 54:01SPEAKER_04: Like we don't even that we actually catch up on what happened in between.
- 54:04SPEAKER_04: This week they are here, next week, next month they're in this completely new country.
- 54:09SPEAKER_04: And it feels very weird to read a comic book.
- 54:12SPEAKER_01: I think I think I think you're 100% correct.
- 54:13SPEAKER_01: I won't I won't lie.
- 54:14SPEAKER_01: I think they're doing too much with too many people in too little time, so that's almost like it's all fast forward.
- 54:21SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 54:22SPEAKER_01: If you can fast forward into the entire story without getting to know the people who's now doing this, he's already got a tibia.
- 54:28SPEAKER_04: You got admin, no, not ad me, you got this one who's mysterious, but you have uh when Stacy and Harry Osman, they're doing mysterious.
- 54:36SPEAKER_04: You have this guy doing the paper, and the paper, like what's his name?
- 54:40SPEAKER_04: Um, Ben and this person.
- 54:41SPEAKER_04: It's an interesting idea.
- 54:42SPEAKER_04: I love it when they talk, but I don't get to see them build up on that.
- 54:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 54:46SPEAKER_04: Uh this one and this one and black, and what's her name again?
- 54:50SPEAKER_04: Black Cat.
- 54:51SPEAKER_04: I love their meeting, but they're not building up on that.
- 54:54SPEAKER_04: It's too much, it's too much happening all at all.
- 54:58SPEAKER_00: Build up on the story, and then it's just it's just boring.
- 55:04SPEAKER_00: It's just boring, it's just boring.
- 55:07SPEAKER_00: It's just honestly, I honestly now I understand now why they keep Spider-Man at that.
- 55:14SPEAKER_00: No, it's not that you could have made it 16 to 26, 27 type range because this man, Spider-Man, is very boring.
- 55:33SPEAKER_04: I'm not giving him a chance to be interesting, and I don't know.
- 55:37SPEAKER_00: I don't know, like I can't it's boring, very jane is boring, his son is dry, it's okay, it's not okay.
- 55:48SPEAKER_00: I can see that there's something there, you know.
- 55:50SPEAKER_00: He's supposed to, he's like a super smart kid.
- 55:52SPEAKER_00: I can see that there's something there.
- 55:55SPEAKER_00: The daughter, they are trying to do something for I even hate the idea that they use the son as a focus and not the not the daughter.
- 56:04SPEAKER_01: I don't know why.
- 56:05SPEAKER_04: So that's what I'm saying.
- 56:07SPEAKER_04: That because all of these characters, because they're not giving them enough time to tell that we just get the archetype, yeah.
- 56:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we just get the archetype of them rather than telling us a story about them.
- 56:18SPEAKER_04: Yeah, because even Peter himself, I'm not we're not we're not seeing his struggles like that.
- 56:22SPEAKER_04: It's just okay, why should I care?
- 56:24SPEAKER_04: Like, okay, you're in the forest this time, you are running away with your family this time.
- 56:28SPEAKER_04: What's what's going on?
- 56:29SPEAKER_00: I understand that why the mix buttons suffering, it's interesting.
- 56:37SPEAKER_04: This guy is too comfortable, it's too comfortable, and he's speaking to comments.
- 56:42SPEAKER_00: No, I know it's not.
- 56:50SPEAKER_04: Okay, your family's in the forest today, but you're hiding out today, but like we we're not really getting so, yeah.
- 56:57SPEAKER_04: And for me, it's the same problem with the ultimate book.
- 57:01SPEAKER_04: Each issue does I see.
- 57:04SPEAKER_04: I like the ultimate book individually, but each issue is doing something different, something new that up until now, I still don't feel them as a team.
- 57:13SPEAKER_04: Like, I still don't feel that, like, okay, you guys have been through an emotional act together, but the okay, this is the way to put it it's very plot heavy and not emotionally heavy for me.
- 57:25SPEAKER_04: So there's a lot of big plot moments, big plot moments, big plot, but like that thing that will make me care for them.
- 57:32SPEAKER_04: Yeah, the resource of aspects, it's like this is part of what we read comics for, yeah.
- 57:40SPEAKER_01: But you know, you know the funny thing in everything you just said, I think the book, and I don't even like it as much as the ultimate, but well they know I think the book that almost succeeds in being driven by character emotion is it's the X-Men.
- 57:54SPEAKER_01: I want no, I want to call it the X-Men, but it's not actually the X-Men book, but it's the one that focuses on the mutants, uh ultimate green.
- 58:03SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 58:03SPEAKER_01: Yes, yeah.
- 58:04SPEAKER_01: I've not I didn't read that one.
- 58:05SPEAKER_01: So that one is basically that is the true X-Men book.
- 58:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, true, true because it's focused on mutants.
- 58:14SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 58:18SPEAKER_01: The one that's called mutants, uh, the one that's called other experiments basically said Japan, and it's just the Japan one, yeah.
- 58:23SPEAKER_00: That's just that's the mocko one.
- 58:25SPEAKER_01: Yes, that one you know how how everything I keep on everything.
- 58:30SPEAKER_01: I've read all the ultimate that's come out with them.
- 58:32SPEAKER_01: That one I've got three waiting for me to read.
- 58:34SPEAKER_00: Three, yes, my stuff that is shitsu.
- 58:37SPEAKER_00: How can you be reading that one?
- 58:41SPEAKER_02: Three.
- 58:42SPEAKER_00: I spoke when Amor when they give her one kind of thing, and she was like, Oh, this is my power.
- 58:48SPEAKER_00: And the thing is, she they'll say something like, Oh, it's a shitsumaku, and then they decide they write Shitsumaku, small Japanese ornaments used for schools and blah blah blah blah blah.
- 58:57SPEAKER_01: I think there's a lot of it's oh no, so that book you guys should be exploring new worlds and new characters literally aid because you know she's got a following this pitch, yeah.
- 59:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this book is to her followers.
- 59:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the book is written exactly like how she wrote those books.
- 59:12SPEAKER_01: There's no she's not making any allowances that I'm not writing those books.
- 59:18SPEAKER_00: This is I want you people, yeah.
- 59:20SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, it's the people that I have that I want.
- 59:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah, she's trying to bring those books to read comic books now, so that's the goal, yeah.
- 59:26SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 59:26SPEAKER_01: Because she's got other options as well, days of clinical that out, and they're all the same, but you could tell you they're trying to bring these guys to get start loving Marvel characters.
- 59:36SPEAKER_00: I I I I'm so so incredibly disappointed in Ultimate Spider-Man, so incredibly disappointed.
- 59:43SPEAKER_04: Because it has made me said about a lot of marks for a lot.
- 59:50SPEAKER_04: This would probably be a black back on his record for me.
- 59:53SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah, because I was excited for the concepts, I was excited for the characters.
- 59:57SPEAKER_04: You can see you can see his brilliance.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_04: Shining through some of the dialogues he writes in this particular book, but like the overall story is like he has this very big idea and so many things he wants to tell, but like too little time to tell it.
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_04: So he's just doing everything on that small.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_01: What what is it of this time?
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_04: No, I mean, like the number of issues, like all the ideas he wants to, yeah, like two years.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_04: The first word in 24 issues, so it's not having time to build up, yeah.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_00: The character, so it's like yeah, the action sucks.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_04: I hate the I hate the AI system.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_04: I hate that AI a lot.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_00: I don't even know.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_00: Does he have I don't know if he has spider sense?
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_04: Because he gets AI is an AI he's using now.
- 1:00:45SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 1:00:45SPEAKER_00: I thought he has okay.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_04: They have the spider bites, but yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_04: So he has he has the spiderman powers, yeah.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_03: But he also has this spider sense.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_04: This yeah, sorry.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_00: I don't think he has a spider sense.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_04: No, he does.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_04: I think he used it against Mysterio in the against what's this called the underboard.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_04: What's his name called the guy in the that took them underground?
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_04: What's that guy called again?
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_04: Mo Man Mo Man, yeah, and because I think when this guy wanted to shoot him, he was able to do him, yeah.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, when Craven wanted to shoot them, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so it's like okay, okay.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so let this let this die.
- 1:01:27SPEAKER_04: Let this die.
- 1:01:27SPEAKER_00: Let it die.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_00: Let it die.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_00: Let it die.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_00: Let's say that here.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_00: All right, let's let's wrap it up.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_00: Okay, Superman, Spider-Man, Crossing.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_00: I don't care.
- 1:01:35SPEAKER_00: Uh celebrating 50.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_01: Yes, I I did not like the Batman Deco one.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_01: Um but I'm I'm I'm a year for this.
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_01: Because I'm a name for this.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_04: I don't care.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_04: Mark Wade, I don't care.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_01: You're facing now.
- 1:01:50SPEAKER_04: No, see, at its at its very best, it's going to be a good one issue that is for completely forgettable.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_04: At its very best.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_04: That's what we're going to get, like a forgettable one issue book.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_01: Why would you say forgettable?
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_04: There's not Mark Wade is not the kind of character to write a Spider-Man Superman book that would stick in my mind for long.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_04: I'm sorry, it's just going to make the he's not going to do he's just going to do what it does with like Shazam and Batman and Superman books, whereas like it's going to be a very fun story of Spider-Man meeting Batman and going on one mini adventure together, and you read it once, you you smile and you forget about it.
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_01: Sorry, I think you're on expectation by white powers.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_01: I'm very sorry.
- 1:02:30SPEAKER_01: I think he's totally up.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying he's gonna knock that park, but he has the ability to if he wanted to.
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_04: I'm saying that at his very best, that is what we're going to get.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_04: No, I'm saying him what you think at the very best.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_01: That means you've never you've never read his flash wrong.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_04: I've I've read his books, but I've said that what he can do with this particular book, given what we are telling with this kind in this short time frame with these two characters in this one off.
- 1:02:55SPEAKER_01: It's exactly it'll be like the origin Superman and Spider-Man.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 1:03:00SPEAKER_01: So, like which was it's still iconic, you know.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_01: For those it's aimed at uh people come to say, Oh, this happened when Spider-Man met Superman.
- 1:03:08SPEAKER_04: You know, I'm saying that there is nothing going to there's nothing going to happen in this issue that will stand out for you that you go, oh, this is memorable, oh, this is an epic book, or oh, this is a five over five book.
- 1:03:19SPEAKER_04: I'm not saying that here, it's not possible.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_04: I don't it's going to be a very safe book.
- 1:03:26SPEAKER_00: I'm very excited for this.
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, two creators I love.
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_00: I like I like Jorge Menez, I like his art, I like Mark Wade, I like his writer.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but this should be good.
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_00: Um, but it's one of those I'll get around to when I get around to it.
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm not it's just because those two characters they're they're very alike in terms of their moral fiber, but I just don't know how to do it.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_00: I should know the answer to this.
- 1:03:51SPEAKER_01: Who's watching the DC?
- 1:03:53SPEAKER_01: So you know it's two, right?
- 1:03:54SPEAKER_01: It's two issues, right?
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_01: This is the DC, yeah.
- 1:03:59SPEAKER_04: Who's doing the map one?
- 1:04:01SPEAKER_04: No, I don't know.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_04: Okay, okay, fine.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_04: Okay, okay, so it's like it's one issue, they'll have a cutie adventure against one bad guy, they'll bond.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_04: I don't see an interesting conflict for the either of them in this.
- 1:04:14SPEAKER_04: I don't see Macwid actually challenging them conflict-wise in these books.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_04: Like, I don't see him challenging them morally, I don't see him pushing their boundaries, I don't see him doing anything shocking in the book.
- 1:04:28SPEAKER_00: It's not gonna be that kind of book, exactly.
- 1:04:30SPEAKER_04: So I don't see myself caring for the book.
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_00: It's not that kind of book, yeah.
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_01: It won't it own powers in one episode or power?
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, it's gonna be safe, it's gonna be a very safety.
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_01: So, like, why should I yeah?
- 1:04:44SPEAKER_04: I know I'm a okay.
- 1:04:45SPEAKER_00: Let's I'm uh I'll get around to you when I get around to it.
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_04: I don't care.
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_00: Okay, we thought of vertigo DC is resurrecting its acclaimed creator owned vertigo imprints with issues like with titles like The Nice House by the Sea continuing and new series such as Leaning House at the end of life launching.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_00: I struggled a little with Nice House by the sea.
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_00: I don't know why.
- 1:05:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I like to maybe I need to read the uh Nice House by the Lake.
- 1:05:17SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'm sorry, I'm with you.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_01: I I had to do that.
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_01: I read I read by the sea, and I was getting lost out of what I know.
- 1:05:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so I went back and read by the lake and then read by sea, and it it it it reads way better.
- 1:05:32SPEAKER_01: Okay, it reads way better because there is connective tissue between the two.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_01: Okay, yeah, so you have to special memory, yeah.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, okay, okay, okay.
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_00: Uh vertigo, vertigo is always nice to one.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_04: It's always nice, yeah.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_04: They always drop goods.
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_04: Always nice, yes.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_01: I don't care about the idea of vertical by itself.
- 1:05:50SPEAKER_01: It's to me, it's just it's it's just a what an imprint.
- 1:05:54SPEAKER_01: I don't really care.
- 1:05:55SPEAKER_01: You can whether you is black labeled, whether it's vertical, whether it's uh uh mamabola, yeah, just like good books.
- 1:06:01SPEAKER_00: So the I like books, yeah.
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_00: But it's it's it's because it feels like it's outside the constraints of editorial.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_00: You have to do this because next year we are doing story, yeah.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_00: So your whole story must at the end lead into this.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_00: So that's why those black like you can say black label that black man becomes a werewolf, and at the end he dies, you're like, oh, okay, or or plastic man dies, you know.
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_00: So it's just that you can almost feel that freedom that's in it, you know.
- 1:06:32SPEAKER_00: Uh okay, absolute books, absolute green arrow, uh critically a claim back to absolute universe extract.
- 1:06:37SPEAKER_00: This is your start to describing a horror comic, even after the character's death in a 2025 special.
- 1:06:44SPEAKER_01: I hope this isn't he dies and goes to hell and he's like that's that that would be my guess if you've if you've pushed me to guess, that would be my guess.
- 1:06:54SPEAKER_01: That would be my guess.
- 1:06:57SPEAKER_04: I would like an undead, undead green harrow.
- 1:07:01SPEAKER_04: I don't know if you'll be a zombie green harrow.
- 1:07:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think they haven't they haven't they haven't let me down.
- 1:07:11SPEAKER_04: See if yeah, they haven't let us down yet.
- 1:07:13SPEAKER_04: But the fact that it's horror, it means you can do something, or can be very interesting.
- 1:07:21SPEAKER_00: Okay, uh X-Men Shadows of X-Men line enters a change of like X-Men United focusing on the psychic, get the fuck out, get the fuck out.
- 1:07:36SPEAKER_02: Get the fuck out, get like get all the way out of the fuck, please.
- 1:07:41SPEAKER_01: Like they they leave, they they've drained my will to live with the revelation, literally.
- 1:07:52SPEAKER_01: So even if they announce if they announce the principle of X-Men and times two days times everything out of it, I wouldn't just just get all the way out.
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_05: Is it X-Men fatigue or bad X-Men fatigue?
- 1:08:07SPEAKER_04: X-Men fatigue, like since for me, since Kraqua, every book has come up from has been trash.
- 1:08:13SPEAKER_05: Yes, it's Krakow, yeah.
- 1:08:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, just oh god mighty, it was terrible.
- 1:08:17SPEAKER_01: It was perfect.
- 1:08:20SPEAKER_04: Right, yeah, I am, I am.
- 1:08:22SPEAKER_04: I like that.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_04: That was nice because it reminds me of pre-craqua era.
- 1:08:27SPEAKER_04: Like for every X-Men book now, it's like it's been no one, it's been bad, two, there's no way you can write an X-Men book.
- 1:08:34SPEAKER_04: For you to write a good X-Men book after Krakowa is like it's going to be very difficult.
- 1:08:37SPEAKER_04: And then the ideas that come in up with are like the shittiest, dumbest version of me asking why did you now end Kraqua?
- 1:08:43SPEAKER_04: Like, oh, she's going to go and do Krakoa in the mental space, blah blah blah.
- 1:08:50SPEAKER_02: Just get out, Marvel.
- 1:08:53SPEAKER_00: I read almost all of them, man.
- 1:08:55SPEAKER_00: I read them with like I'm smelling shit on my face, like I just like is my face, like that's the way I read them.
- 1:09:01SPEAKER_02: They're bad books, like why they're just like t-shirt.
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_01: You know, you know they laugh, you know, these um mutant lovers, yeah.
- 1:09:15SPEAKER_01: I know, and that's what they're crackwa, grow up in a if to their vexes, is that they don't no matter what's coming, their backs, you know, it makes me laugh.
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_04: You can be writing loading.
- 1:09:31SPEAKER_04: No, see you can you can write a lot of books where the X-Men suffer, but if they have crackways, and they didn't write it.
- 1:09:40SPEAKER_01: They still, yeah.
- 1:09:41SPEAKER_01: The the roads the very start of that thing was poisoned.
- 1:09:44SPEAKER_05: And um where are they?
- 1:09:46SPEAKER_05: So, what do what do they have?
- 1:09:47SPEAKER_05: What do they have right now?
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_05: Nothing.
- 1:09:49SPEAKER_05: Where are they?
- 1:09:50SPEAKER_04: They are begging humans, they are they are distinct.
- 1:09:52SPEAKER_04: Storm is running for precedents.
- 1:09:54SPEAKER_04: They're they're in law of they are they are too many.
- 1:09:57SPEAKER_05: They are back to their back to back to square one.
- 1:10:00SPEAKER_05: So there is the even worse of that square one, worse of that square one, yeah.
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_00: And Satops group who are in Alaska.
- 1:10:08SPEAKER_00: There is the um my Gambit's group with Rogue, who are in New Orleans.
- 1:10:13SPEAKER_00: There's the Pride with some new mutants who are in San Francisco.
- 1:10:17SPEAKER_00: There's Tom, there's Tom who is human.
- 1:10:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there is uh there's at least one or two others that I can't remember now.
- 1:10:26SPEAKER_04: There's Tom one where she's like, Oh, we need to we need to work well with the illumins, we need to protect the humans to to to build up our estimate.
- 1:10:34SPEAKER_04: I'm like, this is after Kaka.
- 1:10:36SPEAKER_04: This is your next idea of see the more I think about X Men books in general, the more pissed off I get.
- 1:10:44SPEAKER_00: But which other one do you want to mention?
- 1:10:46SPEAKER_01: The one with Laura and Gabby, and what one was which one is that one?
- 1:10:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's in New York.
- 1:10:51SPEAKER_00: I think they finished NYX.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_00: I think they finished that one.
- 1:10:53SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_01: You're right.
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_01: NYX, yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, you know, it's just all it's just oh, and there's one.
- 1:11:00SPEAKER_01: Oh, you said that you said the only one, right?
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you did.
- 1:11:03SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I did.
- 1:11:04SPEAKER_05: Gambitan.
- 1:11:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:11:05SPEAKER_01: And the the only thing is, when those books then obviously was overtaken by this whole revolution and versions, which is just a mess.
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_01: It's a message, and now we've got now we have a scenario where uh the new cyclop or the new cyclop is not fighting the old beast.
- 1:11:26SPEAKER_01: I can't remember how much way it was.
- 1:11:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because basically in Revelation, they did the whole send the mindset to the future.
- 1:11:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, mind they go.
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, but yeah, at the moment, no, I I agree.
- 1:11:45SPEAKER_00: That whole arc has put like it's really it feels broken, it feels it feels very broken.
- 1:11:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's just really splinter, so it's difficult to yeah, it does, it's difficult to engage, it's not interesting, you know.
- 1:11:58SPEAKER_00: It's yeah, it's it's a real it feels like that period after um ultimate X-Men after Magneto did the whole thing, and that whole universe was just in a mess.
- 1:12:11SPEAKER_00: So I wouldn't, I wouldn't, I wouldn't recommend any Xbook for anyone, but yeah.
- 1:12:16SPEAKER_00: Um I don't know, it feels like comics next year is gonna be dire.
- 1:12:20SPEAKER_04: No, absolutely still coming.
- 1:12:22SPEAKER_04: Absolutely still going strong.
- 1:12:24SPEAKER_00: Is it not is it not running out next year?
- 1:12:26SPEAKER_04: No, it's still going on, please.
- 1:12:28SPEAKER_04: The sales are still very good.
- 1:12:30SPEAKER_04: So when you say next year, you mean 27?
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this year, this year they're gonna they're gonna merge it with the normal universe now.
- 1:12:36SPEAKER_00: Please, yeah.
- 1:12:36SPEAKER_01: I thought they were going to bring that this year.
- 1:12:38SPEAKER_01: Yes, is that not this year?
- 1:12:41SPEAKER_04: There's a crossover, but they're not merging it yet.
- 1:12:43SPEAKER_04: Please, the books will continue.
- 1:12:45SPEAKER_04: The books are doing well enough to continue, please.
- 1:12:47SPEAKER_04: I am I'm old not to that delusion, and leave me with my delusion like that that the books are going to continue because I'm not ready for that.
- 1:12:55SPEAKER_04: I'm not ready for that scenario where they made this character.
- 1:12:59SPEAKER_01: If I'll be honest, I said I've said this to you, yeah.
- 1:13:03SPEAKER_01: They're ending in a way it's better for you than the ongoing because it the stories are end.
- 1:13:11SPEAKER_01: The this whole joker.
- 1:13:12SPEAKER_01: If if you try to drag this on, it'll it'll get worse for you.
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_04: No, so I'm saying that they can end this, they can end the joker story.
- 1:13:18SPEAKER_04: Like, but I want to see more of these versions of this character just in their own listening.
- 1:13:23SPEAKER_04: Let them continue.
- 1:13:24SPEAKER_04: Give the creators like see, give me 50 issues of these characters.
- 1:13:29SPEAKER_04: Yeah, just go on.
- 1:13:30SPEAKER_04: I'll say do a year more and end it.
- 1:13:32SPEAKER_01: Kill whoever you want to kill off, and it let them win with death, end it.
- 1:13:36SPEAKER_01: You have another graphic novel, absolute, absolute universe.
- 1:13:39SPEAKER_04: You can be reading it now and then dragging the dragging it on, dragging on.
- 1:13:42SPEAKER_04: No, because I I want I want like yeah, I what I'm looking for is like the the tall go book, go butcher kind of book, yeah.
- 1:13:52SPEAKER_04: The immortal immortal orc kind of book, where it's like, okay, you have this long comic book series that you can read from beginning to end that tells a complete story.
- 1:14:02SPEAKER_01: I want that picking that's that that particular example, but I hold on.
- 1:14:05SPEAKER_00: Is absolutely is absolutely the motor.
- 1:14:08SPEAKER_00: What is absolute manhunter over?
- 1:14:10SPEAKER_00: Is it done?
- 1:14:11SPEAKER_00: No, no, it says issue one to twelve here.
- 1:14:15SPEAKER_04: And see, so they started with issue one to six, they said they were extended to twelve, and this is the same thing they do it for all of them.
- 1:14:20SPEAKER_04: That based on reception, they keep on extending it.
- 1:14:23SPEAKER_04: And okay, each each six will form a volume, yeah, exactly.
- 1:14:29SPEAKER_04: So for all of them, it was always six.
- 1:14:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I've already ordered my well, this my next Pillar volume.
- 1:14:36SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so I'm I'm all in for absolute books.
- 1:14:40SPEAKER_04: Like, I've been telling this is the kind I want these characters to be my mainstream characters for these people.
- 1:14:46SPEAKER_04: No, you see, you you you didn't know where to quit.
- 1:14:50SPEAKER_04: I know, I know, I know, I know.
- 1:14:52SPEAKER_00: I want this, I like this for one.
- 1:14:54SPEAKER_00: I like that.

- 1:14:57SPEAKER_00: Like yeah, yeah, yeah.

- 1:15:24SPEAKER_01: It's better.
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_01: It's better.
- 1:15:26SPEAKER_05: Most of them are better when you want one read.
- 1:15:28SPEAKER_01: Segue, except Flash.
- 1:15:30SPEAKER_05: I said, also I said that who is reading Flash?
- 1:15:32SPEAKER_05: I said they're mostly better when you read them in one read.
- 1:15:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah, well, so we're uh we've talked about absolute green lantern.
- 1:15:46SPEAKER_04: Yes, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
