- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's get into the 49er discussion here.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: We titled the stream, 49er bad news.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, John, you probably heard the news
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: Ricky Pierce all at, you know, three days in from, he didn't, didn't practice today.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: Third day of camp.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: And where's Ricky Pierce all?
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: And Corey rush the PR guy comes up to us right in the middle of practice and says, hey, by the way, Ricky's out.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's got swelling in the knee.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same knee that he had the PCL injury in last year.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: They're very concerned about it.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and who knows.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I've heard whispers since then that maybe you'll have like PCL surgery.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, maybe that should have been done in the offseason, you know.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: But if he has it, it sounds like he would be all out for at least a couple months, if not more.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, the old saying you can't make the club in the tub and, you know, the most underrated aspect of wide receiver play is toughness.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: All the, all the greatest wide receivers are tough.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: There's almost no wide receiver out there that was great, that wasn't tough, and you just got to be tough.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's a super physical demanding position, and this guy, because of this PCL injury, which to me,
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: looked like a bone bruise when he suffered it.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: He caught a ball on the sidelines in a game last year and then got thrown down out of bounds and he banged the knee really hard on the surface and it looked like a bone bruise.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: But then we were told it's a PCL strain and he just couldn't come back and it was like seven weeks, eight weeks.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: He was gone for a couple
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: He hasn't done anything all off season.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: So he should be feeling great.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: We saw some footage of him training, but he had a knee sleeve on.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: People were like, oh, he's got a knee brace.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: People like no, dude, that's a knee sleeve.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: Either way, who cares?
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: The guy's got knee problems.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's got a bum knee.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, at this point, what do you make of the story of the day?
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Pierce saw knee swelling tied to the PCL injury from last year in his status, very much a question mark.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: This entry happened in September, week four, Larry, last season, September, this is okay.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very upset and the frustration comes at many levels, which I am sure 49er fans definitely can sympathize with and understand like this is it so much of a Ricky Pearsaw criticism.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: I know he's the one with the multitude of injuries and all the different reasons why
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: He's missed three training camps in a row and why, you know, he just hasn't been able to put together a season stay on the field.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I get that a lot of the anger is pointed at Ricky Pierce all and maybe rightfully so.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: the injuries of these athletes.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: This PCL is now a year long injury where about to be in August and now they're saying, man, everything is on the table.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: And if you do this PCL surgery, like you said, now one, once you do that surgery, it complicates everything else, because the meniscus is going to be involved as well.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like you're looking at anywhere between a seven to 10 month recovery, which if you what it does in September,
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: What would that have been?
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: So the Niners roll the dice and they're like, look, let's see, maybe it would just heal, he'll come back.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: He had an abysmal season throughout that like he never had.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: He had the Tennessee game where he had six sketches, 96 yards and then it just kind of fell off after that.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: But man, how did you not check up on this in the off season?
- 5:48[SPEAKER_01]: and you see the cool workout videos with him running cone drills and all that stuff of the Aussies don't give a damn like how did the knee swelling not take up or where were you at during this whole process from September to now and now you're like oh well maybe we're more concerned like I just don't understand there is just a huge miss and this is
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: why people get so upset with the 49ers and the injury situation because so much of this could be alleviated through just proper management of pre-existing conditions with players.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: That is why people get so upset.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: How is it that you have a player with broken ribs when the pads aren't even on Larry?
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I know, it's amazing.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: What are you doing?
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we're cutting people off the field for cramps.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: I do it.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: I've never heard of that in my life and some of that coach for, you know, two decades.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's never happened.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: Like,
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: They had Johnny, they have eight injuries through todays and through a couple days and no pads.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: Hallm's got a knee, low's got an ankle, Mustafa's got a hammy, Kirk's got a calf, Jordan James's got broken ribs, Ricky Pierce's got PCL swelling, Collins and Garendo have whatever the heck they got.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I mean,
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: unbelievable.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: And so like let me say this too because like you list off those injuries and it's like a CVS receipt.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: It just keeps freaking going right like and so like it's okay to get pissed off and I know some people want to throw out the substation and whatever else.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: Some injuries happen.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: Need bone bruise, okay?
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, offensive defensive linemen.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: Their knees bang.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: That happens.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: They're like that is going to happen in football.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: However, soft tissue injuries, calf strains and hamstring
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: That is a mismanagement by the player and the staff for understanding what you are capable and ramped up ready to go.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: So like the Kirk cousins, sorry, the Christian Kirk, that, yes, that's a red flag on the organization and player.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_01]: Now it must stop for this isn't as first hamstring strain.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: That is a red flag on the organization and the player.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: The Ricky Pierce something?
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: Hell yes, that is a fireable offense for whoever is in charge of this.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like you are screwing up a player that we counted on all off season by your mismanagement of how to handle this.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the back issue for Andrew Farmer, back in player, not really, that's not one of the ones that raises alarm bells, the bone bruise, not so much the high equal spring, no, not really.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: the ribs, the calf strain, the hamstring, and recapirisol, hell yes.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: That is, meet me in my office.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody's getting their ass chewed out over and over again, including the players.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_01]: But nothing's going to change.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: Dustin Perry's been with the 49ers since Kyle Shattahan's been there.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's only been promoted.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: And you look at these constant re-interies in the certain situations.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's absolutely ludicrous.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely ludicrous.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not one of these guys, Larry, that usually gets fired up about stuff towards the organization and whatever else.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: And like, I'm a hell of a hero like you guys.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: Very positive towards the organization, generally.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: Well, this is bullshit.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: This is heads need to roll over stuff like this.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: And for the people that's like, oh, it's a Kyle Shatt Handish, Kyle's ain't even there.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: Look, like, so I don't know.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm frustrated.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_01]: I know 49ers fans are frustrated.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that is appropriate through two practices.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the third one was today, but all these injuries.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: And that's another thing, too, because Kobyak gets up there has the pre-practice press conference.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: Don't address any of this.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's not really head coach.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: I understand that practice starts and then it gets leaked out through you guys, which damn good job, Larry, you are crushing it by the way, but it's just like, dude, even the way they're doing it is just like, oh and by the way, everyone's injured.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's just, it's so frustrating.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: Um, one, you know, I got a little pissy at in one of my videos today because I started thinking about all the people that were crushing my ass when I kept saying this guy was freaking glass.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: Who was right?
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know shit.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, you know, the old, I don't know much about history.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know much, but I do know that I love you.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: You know, although I do know my team and this team,
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I know the teams that I root for and it's like, I know when a player is injury prone and this guy is injury prone and it's just there's no question about it.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: If you looked at his ball skills at Florida and ASU, they looked amazing.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: Go look at the actual
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: look at his football card.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't have big numbers at Florida or ASU.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't put up big numbers.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: He made some amazing highlight real catches, but he didn't have star unbelievable numbers.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: Because he can't stay healthy, I mean, it's the NFL you have to be able to stay healthy.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, last year, you had Joanne Jennings playing through like five different injuries.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: And this guy's sitting out seven weeks on the PCL strain that looked like a bone bruise, what had happened.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: So, I don't know.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what the deal is, but, you know, the one thing I think we've learned is that you can't count on Ricky.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: And for people are like, okay, you got a cut of a move on.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's not the way NFL rookie contracts work.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: If you cut them and actually cost you money.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: So like the money is allocated it is there.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: So cutting him doesn't work.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: Trading him now you cannot do like you can't do that.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: Trading injured players is like a misnomer.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't really really happen.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: So what you have to do is you set them aside and the decision has to be made.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this is it once, this is it twice, this is three times of the PCL, you need to have surgery.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: You put them on the shelf.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_01]: What I would probably do is I would wait three weeks.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: see if the swelling goes down, put them back out there running routes, whatever else and then surgery because it's not going to affect your timeline for this season.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: If you hold off, if he has the surgery, the season's done, post season done.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: There's not half surgery now.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: He might be back for the playoffs.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: If you're going to do this, like, all right, cool, wait three weeks.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see if he can get out there and run and we just put them on, you know, he's running 20 snaps again.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: maybe do that, but, oh dude, this is cataclysmic failure at managing your assets, just horrible, horrible, horrible.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: And just picking the wrong guys, you know, it's like, they wouldn't admit it, but I mean, they go into these drafts and it's like, we gotta have a guy at this position.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: and it was like there was a bunch of receivers you could have had there could have had lad McGawkey was there could have had McCawkey could have had Xavier Luget you could have had Keon Coleman I would have taken Zach Frazier personally I would have traded back a couple spots but whatever that's all another
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was saying, get Zach Frazier as well, the West Virginia Center, who's now like one of the NFL's better centers, playing for the Steelers.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: And the guy was a fighter and a wrestler.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: And it was like such an obvious great pick.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: He was a plug-and-play guy.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: Instead, they get a receiver.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: And there was no pressure on Ricky at the beginning to play none.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: They had JJ, they had a Yook, they had D-Bo.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: It was like, this guy was just there.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: He was on scholarship.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: and he still disappoints them.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: Even though he didn't he had plenty of time to get used to the physicality and the rigmarole of the NFL schedule and everything else.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: This guy's played in two years.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's played 20 games in Mr. 11.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot of misses.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot of misses.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know what to say about this.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it would have been nice to see them kind of like,
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: You know, spot him, build up his trade value and trade him, but he can't even stay healthy long enough to plan two or three games and he and it the feeling that you get around the guy is that.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's always going to play pretty well when he's in there.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: They got an offense that works.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: You got a quarterback who's accurate.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: He's got good ball skills.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's not slow.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: But then you sit there and you go away to second.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: This guy's got to make his bones in the middle of the field.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I like everybody just because he's Caucasian and Julian Edelman's Caucasian.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's Julian Edelman.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: The fuck he's Julian Edelman.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's way bigger.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: Julian Edelman.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: And Julian Edelman's 10 times tougher.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I mean, Julian Adamman, you kidding me, Julian Adamman's one of the toughest receivers that's ever played in the NFL.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: You're getting to compare Ricky Pierce all, and, and then the scouting report this year on the ASU receiver by Bob McGin, who's talking to anonymous scouts, and it was in a total indictment of ASU as a program, they're like, they don't grow them real tough there.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: And he was talking about the receiver that went to the Saints, I believe, but they were like, yeah, the anonymous scouts was like, yeah, he played an ASU and they don't grow them real tough there.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the great, you know, awesome.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: So the key element of being a receiver is toughness and everybody who scouts football knows that, but the Niners then draft a receiver that may lack toughness.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: and can't, doesn't have high pain tolerance, and suddenly he can't get on the field, and he's always, you know, he's always kind of, he needs to be a hundred percent.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: Guess what?
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: If you need to be a hundred percent, you're going to play like 30 percent of the games, because you're not going to be a hundred percent.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not the way, you're never a hundred percent in the NFL.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: There's an old saying in pro football when you get to November.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's heard, tell me when you're injured.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: everybody's heard everybody's got a bone bruise everybody's got an elbow that's barking everybody's got ribs that are sore everybody's got something and it's like Ricky can't play with something and you gotta be able to play with something so hey
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: You haven't heard Clay Kovieck in today's press or whenever you ask them about Seattle great question by the way It was like yeah, one of the things he said like man We had a third down to Ricky and he didn't come up with it and it's like dude that dude played 42 snaps in the playoffs Against Seattle with zero catches
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I get it.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: It was a hundred percent.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: I understand that.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: But as you said, not everybody's a hundred percent, man, like you got to get a positive way.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: And if you have to have everything perfect all the time, that's going to be difficult.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the one thing I do want to kind of not push back on, but just add some nuance when Ricky has been healthy.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: He has put up productive numbers in this offense and is a perfect match for Brock Party skill set, but that means absolutely nothing if you can't even get through training camp.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's now over three in training camp.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: You remember you had two shoulders in the word as he's the word as he's the word as tease.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's a tease.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: He teases you with talent and then disappoints you with production.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and he's a nice guy too.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's the other thing.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's a hard thing to be like, uh, Ricky because he's a cool guy.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's nice guy.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what, there's something really like serious about him.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: And he's in and he's like a no BS kind of a guy.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, there's lots of things to like about Ricky.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: I like Ricky.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's what kills me too.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: People like you can't stand Ricky.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: No, I just want to trade him because you wasted a first round pick.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: And here's the here's the other problem.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: is that the Niners, and this is the problem, this is the problem of this regime.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: You say, what's the problem of the regime?
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they've been pretty successful, but they have won the Super Bowl.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: What's their problem?
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: Do they have a problem?
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: They keep fucking up the draft, and so they have to redraft guys at the same positions over and over and over again.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you see that?
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're drafting dribbling.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: Because Ricky Pierce all can't play dead, or he can't get on the field.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: They're drafting her mellow height.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: Really high.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Because
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they drafted Drake Jackson way too high.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: Because Solomon Thomas was a bust.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they drafted Javan.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: Kinla too high.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 18:32[SPEAKER_00]: Because they needed to have somebody post.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_00]: They had to have a defensive tackle post.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: Defoe.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: You know, so it's like they keep doubling down.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, they have to redraft over and over and over.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: And you can see it.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's all right there.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: they screwed up on joe Williams so here comes trace sermon they screwed up on tight avis price you know it's like and nine of fans were like pissed at k-lon black strafting because not because k-lon black can't play or that they didn't like k-lon black because they re-drafting a running back in the third round and they've tried this
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: stupid move over and over and over again and never seems to work.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I think they hit on K-lon black and I said so at the time, even despite the fact it looked bad based on their trend of drafting running backs early, but they just keep screwing up their picks and then doubly, you know, they can't, Solomon Thomas and then all of a sudden, well, here comes Drake Jackson and then here comes this guy and that guy at McHell can't sack the quarterback now you got to reach for
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: You just, it's just one, it's like, instead of drafting a position and moving on, they have to draft it and then redraft it and then redraft it and then redraft it.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: And it's inefficient, it's caused them to waste a lot of picks.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's the number one reason that they haven't won the Super Bowl is that they're not
- 19:55[SPEAKER_00]: They're not hitting stars.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like hopefully Kayla and Black are dribbling or one of these guys is a star.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: Because what was the last time the 49ers drafted a freaking star, Drunk Perti?
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Brock Perti, that was a couple years ago.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_00]: That was lucky, yeah.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: It was lucky and it was a couple years ago.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_00]: So the Pearson thing is frustrating.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: They do have a whole bag of other receivers.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like as far as them, I don't really worry about them.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: I like what I see from Wesley Grimes.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: I like what I see from Will Pauling.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_00]: I really love what I see from Stripling and I really love what I'm seeing at a Jordan Walkins.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: Cowings still seems to be too fragile and too soft and too, you know, he can't take violence.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: Any kind of every hit looks like it hurts him.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_00]: I be shocked if he has the physicality to make it through an NFL season.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: He just doesn't strikes me like Danny Gray.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: Just too, every hit hurts too much.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's just too small, too weak to really have an impact in the NFL.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I'm wrong because he
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know what to say other than I don't know that they need to do anything, John, right?
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think you could look around to see what wide receivers shake free at the deadline.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you could always trade for a Jordan Addison or a Brian Thomas Jr.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: Try to get somebody like that and I would be all about that.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think, you know, I don't see that they've got a lot of receivers in their camp, and they might be able to just get by without Pierce Hall, and just because one of these other young receivers kind of comes of age.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see how they play their hand, but I mean, Ricky Pierce Hall, I knew he was going to disappoint us any did.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't expecting much, and I get less.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: I was expecting to play like maybe five to eight games, and we're maybe
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: it's rough man.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: You brought it five wide receivers this offseason though.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: So that's good.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: The bad thing is Kirk wanted once you brought in and now and it doubles up, right?
- 22:02[SPEAKER_01]: The problem with NFL teams, especially in training camp, is it injuries.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's not even the number of injuries.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's stacking injuries at the same position.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: So now you have not one, but two, Z wide receivers that are missing time at the same time, that is problematic.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why the Fort Aaron's held, you know, try out today.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: They had three wide receivers come in for a workout afterwards because, man, we need more Z wide receivers.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we can.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: push dribbling over we can push to mark his Robinson who's a vet and he can do some of those things and you've got the undrafted for aging guys, but man at some point we need more bodies to run these routes for this z position so we're not pulling guys out of the position we want them to be in.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: to take those things.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's the problem.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_01]: The stacking of positions, you're doing the same thing on the defensive side as well with the defensive tackle room, Grace and Halton now for Collins, like that is a killer.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: So when you stack these injuries, that's where you start scrambling.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: And man, you're just trying to fill snaps and trying to hold practice.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: And because if you don't fix that, now your wide receivers are running more routes than you wanted them to in the injuries just keep going.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's how the soft tissue stuff happens.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: They're behind the eight ball and they're scrambling a little bit and man it's it's so frustrating to see I get all the depot questions I didn't retain it a lot more now than I would have in the past.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_00]: But I only want to evo if he's in great shape and he's willing to take two to three million bucks if he's in great shape and willing to take two three million bucks and embrace the role that the Niners have for him, which would be you're the jack of all trades, but you're only you're only starting at kick returner you're starting kick returner other than that you're R B five and your W R seven or something like that.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: Um, the three receivers they brought in today, Alex backman, D. Wayne S. Gridge, Trent, Nurwen, everyone played at Stanford.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's slow.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's slow.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, as Gridge, I like to lock coming out of college, but he was never really never did it, never did it.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: But that's what you're getting.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's either that or you're paying one of these long-term vets, you know, Keenan Allen, Diggs, D. Bow, those types of guys, the fading goat, man, maybe Tyler
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: like you got to pick do we we pony up the cash.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you do it yet because you're still in limbo with pier saw.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, are you making the decision to shut them down?
- 24:38[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, you're not going to shut him down, but if he has to have the surgery, I would imagine he's probably gone for two months, two months.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: And any powers is Larry called him the delicate vase earlier today.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: He is.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he is.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's never mystic gaming college.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: Make it make sense.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: Make it make sense, man.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: He just doesn't have that build that says across the middle.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: And yet that's kind of where he's slated to play.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: So I never really felt truly great about it.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: But man, I mean, it's just frustrating.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's so frustrating.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_00]: I feel bad for him too, because he's a good dude.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's not a bad dude.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: He's a good dude.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's a nice guy.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: And he's trying to have it in a feel career.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 25:24[SPEAKER_00]: Big mouth know it all's like myself or calling them, you know, glass and soft and this and that whatever, obviously he's a football player and I'm sitting in front of a microphone so you can, you can, you know, judge that for what it is, but I call it straight man, I, there are no sacred cows, there are no nobody, you know, I'd rip my grandmother if it cost me a game.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't care.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I got a wrap up granny.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you don't know me by now, you don't know me.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I would rip anybody, anybody, if they deserve to be ripped.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: And that's just the way it is.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's the way I view sports talk.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to say what I got to say, and if you want to get my face, then that's fine.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm going to say what I want to say.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: So, and I'm going to speak the truth, because life's too short to lie about sports.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: You want to lie about religion, race, politics, go for it.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_00]: But if we can't be honest about our sports, what the hell does that say for us as a society?
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: And that's how I view it, and so that's what I, that's my philosophy when it comes to this channel and it comes to my radio career.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_00]: I've had multiple stints because I do say what I, what I feel, and that can rub people the wrong way.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I will get into disagreements with people all the time, and I may even insult some people.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what I'm going to be honest about it.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be very straightforward.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not passive aggressive pat over here.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm coming with both.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: Both fists balled up.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the way I do it.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't dislike Ricky Pierce all, but I would love to see the 49ers get him healthy and trade him.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's going to happen.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_00]: Deshawn dribbling looks absolutely amazing and he's running away from the from the defense.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's big.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's strong.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: He likes to block.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's mature.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's calm.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's tough.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot to like there.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean,
- 27:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Pierce Saul has been, you know, this endless ray of injuries is tiring as hell, but dribbling looks like the real deal.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Watkins has looked amazing.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I actually kind of think Wesley Grimes and Will Pauling has undrafted free agents have looked really good.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_00]: They both run in the four threes.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_00]: They both seem like they've got pretty good hands.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: Grimes can take a hit.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: Pauling's got jumping ability and he's quick and he's catches punch.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: He looks really
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: So they probably have enough on, you know, as is to get by, but if Dibo is out there and he's in shape and he's willing to take us in three million bucks, I'd sign them.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: Don't caution anything.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: You bring him in at worst.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's a returner.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: He knows the z-spot to a T did it forever in this offense.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I like it.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: I was pretty anti-bring in Debo back, but and I said it when we talked.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we could go.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: If Ricky got injured, then I would be interested.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: And here we are not even a week later.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, well, what do you know?
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: unbelievable who could have saw this coming uh okay what is the what is your biggest 49er concern as we sit here on what is this July 29th we're at the end of July what is your biggest 49er concern is it
- 28:52[SPEAKER_00]: Is it the offensive line?
- 28:53[SPEAKER_00]: The interior offensive line?
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: Is it the past rush?
- 28:56[SPEAKER_00]: Is it the wider severs?
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: Now that Ricky looks like he might be hurt?
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: It might be serious?
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: Is it safety?
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: Is it injuries overall?
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: Is it the division?
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: What is what's your biggest nine-year concern and a July?
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the thing that stood out to me, one, there are certain position groups that were just
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I think, you know, you read through the reports and the training camp practices and all these things, like where are the tight ends at?
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: What is happening at that position, which has been a stalwart of production, a lot of that because of George Kiddo, but you look at the Shannahand coaching tree and the offensive prowess across the NFL, tight ends flourish in this offense.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: What is happening there?
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I like that they sign, Tonjus, I get it, Luke Feral, nobody's, you know, a fan of his offensive production.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: Man, are they just wasting a spot out there with the tight in position?
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: I know they do a lot of two tight in sets, but I am so concerned about what this is going to look like in the run game and passing game.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think that they have the depth.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that they have the adequate players.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: Now, maybe George Kittle comes back and makes them miraculous recovery.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: It is out there week one, which would alleviate all concerns.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: But for that first month of the season,
- 30:16[SPEAKER_01]: that tight-in room.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I am beyond concerned with how that's going to shut down the run game.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: Your past protection, I have failed no confidence in anybody there, past blocking Luke Feral or Jake Togis.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: This is a concern to me that has not been addressed in back-to-back seasons.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a little worried about it.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_01]: If kiddo doesn't come back and make a miraculous recovery, do they have the depth to make it through the first month of the season without kiddo without it just killing the offense?
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's a good question.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, first of all, kiddo should not be back until at least October.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: and tangerous looks great.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: I will say that tangerous really looks great.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean he's catching everything going coming his way.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's got great hands.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's he's even a little bit more athletic than he was last year.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: He looks a little bit more explosive.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: Ferrell is just a guy.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: Willis and Roochier less than a guy.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: So I personally, the guy that I really like is the other guy, Tanner McLaughlin, who they just picked up, who played it Arizona.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: I should tell you something.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: They got it.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: You just
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's a receiver.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's a real receiver.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_00]: I know I'm not giving Willis Rucci or Farrell much time looking at them because I just don't believe.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm I'm looking at a tight-end group that has a new tight-end coach, no kiddo.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_00]: Tungess and now Tanner McLaughlin.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_00]: Now I do like what I'm seeing at a McLaughlin in that he's a competitor.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: He's a tri-hard guy.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's he'll he will try he believes he's a good blocker.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's not a good blocker.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_00]: He's an underpowered blocker.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_00]: But he's a really good receiver and I haven't seen him drop a ball or even even look at all, you know, sketchy at a ball.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_00]: Miss guy plucks it with his hands.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: He catches it with confidence.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: He's got movement abilities.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_00]: All of 65 to 45 to 50 is not he doesn't have that to 65.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_00]: you know blocking he doesn't he's not going to move people out of the whole uh... he's not a blocker i mean they didn't think it was a blocker they dumped him uh... because of the injury and then they went with magluckan magluckans not a blocker though he's a receiver i actually kind of think that this is set up to have
- 32:34[SPEAKER_00]: Conscious and one other and then Enrique Cruz because I think Enrique Cruz is not going to be the third tackle, I think that's going to be Viderian lower Austin presence and then I think in Enrique Cruz, they just drafted him they love them, he was a fifth round pick, he's super athletic.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to use him as a blocking tight end.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I hope so.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: There's not a lot of, the Trent Williams did it one play, which was awesome and it worked and then never went back to it again.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: But like, I would love for the Shanahan Kubiax somebody to get a little creative with that.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: because it works.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: I was at the bills game, you know, whenever it was snowing like three foot and the entire second half, I remember they went on a 14-play drive with an extra offensive lineman in there and just ran it down the 49ers throws and we stayed in nickel the whole time that you Nick freaking anyway, I don't want to talk about that defensive coordinator.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: But like yeah, like I would love some of that.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_01]: Luke Feral is going to make this roster because of the contract.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: You cut them.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're not cutting them based on what he's getting paid.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_01]: He is a quality special teamer, but yeah, I mean, I would like that have you seen any tackled over or extra offense of tackle or Enrique out there running routes nope because you got to put a different jersey on them if you're going to do it.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_00]: No, haven't seen that.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_00]: My biggest concern would be past rush.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think the interior line could be upgraded.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think the shand han accident not concerned.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think they've got some safety options.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_00]: I like some of the back-up wide receivers.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not as concerned about the substation of the injuries and the divisions, the division.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_00]: But I'll say past rush.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: I just think if they have past rush, their defense is going to look good.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_00]: If they don't have past rush, it's just not.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: And it's hard, you know, it's really hard to develop the past rush.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_00]: But um,
- 34:27[SPEAKER_00]: But I definitely think that's their biggest concern for them.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: What is your confidence level and Reheem Morris manufacturing pressure if the four guys that are coming are getting it?
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: Because with Robert Solet, there was no confidence in him outside of just four guys winning, you know, four against five.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_01]: But I do feel a little more confident that Reheem can generate and create almost out of nothing with the past rush.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he's definitely shown that he believes in blitzing and more pressure and playing more man, and I just think he's going to overall, I'd like that he's going to challenge the opposition a little bit more, right?
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: So, then, Naki, he's not going to sit back and rush for all day and play cover three and,
- 35:15[SPEAKER_00]: Now, he's not going to do that.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to, he's going to, you know, he's going to walk a fifth guy up on the line of scrimmage.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to give you a, you know, some sim pressures.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to change it up.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be multiple friends.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be multiple on the back end.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to give you more to think about more to chew on.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_00]: So I think I like, I like, you know, kind of
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: You got to have that password, though.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_00]: You got to have that password.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, they added two more rushers today.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_00]: They added Quentin Bell for Prairie View, A&M and KG Henry, who played at Clemson.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_00]: And they said goodbye to William Bradley King and Farmer, Andrew Farmer the second.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_00]: So they're trying to, and Bell's interesting, he runs in the 4-5's 41-inch vertical 11-4 in the broad jump.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's Nick Bell's nephew.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_00]: Remember Nick Bell, I don't remember him, but he played it running back for Iowa back in the day.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and then, uh, and then KG Henry, one national championship at Clemson, and then won a Super Bowl with the Eagles as a player.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: It was the other side of Cleveland Farrow, wasn't he?
- 36:23[SPEAKER_00]: It was Cleveland Farrow, what kind of KG Henry on the other?
- 36:26[SPEAKER_00]: And a lot of, and they're very similar in that they're both really, you know, this guy is smart guy, right?
- 36:31[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's got, he's already got his degrees, already got a master's degree, he was two time academic all ACC.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: This guy with KG Henry was very athletic at Clemson.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: He was a high character team captain, natural leader.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: And he can translate from speed to power.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's really good on stunts and twists.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, they're going to do a lot of that.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_00]: So he made a couple of nice plays today.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, they're looking to try to upgrade their defense of line anyway they can.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_00]: And it will be interesting to see if they make a big move
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: moderate, kind of under the radar type moves on that defensive line.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: What's the biggest, what do you view as the biggest positive story through three days of training camp?
- 37:19[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I'm stuck.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_01]: You told me about this question right before the show, and I keep, I'm waffle and back and forth.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_01]: There's two things that I love.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_01]: One quality defensive back play.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: which I don't feel has been the case in Steve Wilkes was the DC and I know a lot of people were out on Steve Wilkes and rightfully so.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_01]: But like the safeties, the corners all played really, really well under him.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: And so now you're getting guys like Jair Brown returning to quality play like you saw with Steve Wilkes or Narrow Green.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of positive things he was even at the podium today.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I really liked the way he kind of handled themselves.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sure, sure, sure.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: But I was like, all right, like I don't know what this dude's about.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: And so like that was good.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_01]: Do just a constant reinfaces of I'm going to battle with these guys.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: I want to fight.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: I want to compete like and that's what you want.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_01]: Jack Jones shows up Nate Hobbes shows up.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: You have depth across the board at the corner back position and Ronaldo says all right.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm him.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: and so much so they let them go to the podium and I think that that is huge and now you're having both the sides, the coaches and the player feeding it into each other and I think that's huge positive.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_01]: Iron sharpens iron and you're seeing that.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: The second one that I just want to go to is to Sean Stribley who we've talked about.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: he matches the I test and I mean, you could say he's had as many practices as Rick Pierce all has the training camp probably in the first two training camps he went through like it's there.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: You know, will that translate?
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: Can he sustain this?
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but whatever the I test and belong test and, you know, does this work in the NFL?
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: The answer is yes, yes, yes.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean,
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I would say the biggest positive for me is the impact of Reheem Morris because he's impacted more than one guy.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_00]: You can kind of tell.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: He's had a big impact on the secondary, Demos talking them up.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think I've seen in the last couple days where Nardo looked the best I've seen him.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: He played a lot of Florida State.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_00]: He played almost exclusively zone with the Niners.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: same with Dorell Lutery played all man to man.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's South Alabama.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_00]: Now he's playing almost exclusively zone.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_00]: We're not a look good today.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: Lutery had a pick today.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: Eli Apple has looked good.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Jones has looked good.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, up to Stouts look good.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_00]: So Ron Neil had a PBU today.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of feel like overall the not just the corner play, the defensive back play across the board.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: has looked.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_00]: The coverage looks tighter.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_00]: They look like they're playing to a different standard.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_00]: They look more comfortable playing man.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_00]: They just seem more aggressive as a group.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_00]: And to me, when you can add one guy in Reheem Morris, and then suddenly you're getting the best of Jack Jones, the best that a Ronaldo Green, the best that a Gerrell Looter, you know, the best out of some of these guys.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_00]: And also, you look around you're like, wait a second.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know, this is pretty good.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to work.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what I'm most excited about is the impact and from talking to the players, what they're saying about Reem, how he's challenging them.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: And he wants, you know, Reem said, hey, I asked him about Jack Jones and he's like, hey, look, he's going to, he's going to, he's going to make some big plays.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to give up some big plays.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: But he's going to, you know, challenge people and get in their face and close down that space and he's going to break on the ball and you may break badly once or twice and give up a big play.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_00]: But you can kind of tell that Raheem likes that.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_00]: He wants guys who are going to play fast and physical and tighter coverage, more man coverage, tighter coverage.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's all about that and, you know, it's.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's, uh, I think he's the big positive.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_00]: He, to me, he's the big positive.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_00]: Um, all right, let's do this.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: Let's, let's, um, let's do our prize picks line up right here.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: And then we'll come back and I want to ask you about a Vita Vea.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_00]: Um, all right, prize picks will put that up on the board.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_00]: We'll share that.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to go with some Niners long-term projections here.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: And, um, we'll put us down here in the corner.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: Can we bet under on Ricky Pierce saw?
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think we'll be going under on Mr. Pearson.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_00]: And we move that over.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_00]: Boom.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: Perfect.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: So thank you to prize picks for being a proud sponsor of the cruise show.

- 42:51[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, Eddie Pinearo over, you know, more than 29.5 Filgles, he did that last year and he missed three games.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_01]: He made 650 yard Filgles last year for the 49ers.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: The more or less is five and a half over 50 Filgles.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm just sitting there, I'm just like, dude, like, I don't think you can bet the same player almost pull lineups there.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: but a good gosh man.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm huge on that.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: Really, really big on the Brock party over 3,799 pass yards.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be throwing the ball.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_00]: Do you like that one more or less than the season rush touchdowns?
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: You only have to have three rushing touchdowns to go over to have more.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's the over and rock.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Brock likes to do the Dougie too much.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's he's going to get in that
- 43:42[SPEAKER_00]: Um, let's see, do we have a peer saw in here?
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think they probably pulled them.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_00]: They probably pulled them.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: They're too smart.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: How about Mike Evans?
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think of Mike Evans?
- 43:53[SPEAKER_00]: 824.5 season receiving yards six and a half receiving touchdowns.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's a gimmie.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_00]: They don't think Mike Evans is going to have seven touchdowns this year.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_00]: They are going to look to him so much in the red zone.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think Brock pretty to Mike Evans is a lock for a half dozen receiving touchdowns at least.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_00]: Now, that gets you right close to it.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_00]: That would still be under, but to me, that's a lock to have six receiving touchdowns.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think you told me, you may have 10 or 11.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: You told me, Mike Evans only played 10 games this year.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_01]: I still might think more like he's scoring touchdowns.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: He is going to be the first second third read in the red zone.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let's go more there.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_00]: Let's take a look at what we're what this will look like.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_00]: We will put our always again.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: We have to pick.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_00]: We have to pick somebody.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we got to add somebody on another team.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, hold on a second.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they know we have insider info that that's why they understand don't like that.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_00]: So let's move that out of the way.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_00]: And now we can go back here.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_00]: Um, do we want?
- 45:02[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_00]: Now, it's something like I made this so big here.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: What's going on?
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: Was it so huge?
- 45:07[SPEAKER_01]: Gotta hit the control zero and then it jump back out.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: Control zero?
- 45:13[SPEAKER_01]: I believe so.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_01]: Uh oh.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_01]: I ain't trying to mess that up over there, Larry.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if it doesn't work, you guys, Larry's going to fire me.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know about that.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know about that.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_00]: Hold on a second.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_00]: We'll just pick something right here.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go with Derek Henry less than 124.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's this is the year he goes under the total.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_00]: And we will make our wager down here.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_00]: We put that in.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_00]: We actually bet 20 on it and now this comes up.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see as it takes a second.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: Takes a second, but it will give us our line up.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_00]: And then, oh, here we go.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_00]: We can view our line up down here.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_00]: Why is this so huge?
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's what she said.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_00]: Why is this so massive?
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so this is, there we go.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_00]: This is our four-pick power play $20 pays as $200 bucks.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_00]: We need Eddie Piniero to have at least 30 vehicles.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_00]: We have, um, we've got Brock party to have at least three Russian touchdowns.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_00]: Mike Evans to have at least seven receiving touchdowns and Derek Henry to have under 1249 rush yards.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_00]: If that happens, we go four for four.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_00]: Our $20 turns into $200.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good one.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good one.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's a good one.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_00]: I will move that back and we'll push this back over here and just like that.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_01]: We're back.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so thank you to prize picks for being a proud sponsor of the crew show and they do an incredible job and check them out.

- 49:15[SPEAKER_00]: So ball d on the crew show, great co-cell on the crew show, both of those courtesy of Alamar Marina.net.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_00]: So thank you to all the good people up there at Alamar Marina fantastic restaurant float while you're dying on the Sacramento river.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_00]: Let's finish up with a couple of topics here.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: Vita Vaya wants out.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_00]: He wants a mill, mill, pita size school.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_00]: Immediately people are like, the Niners, the Niners, the Niners.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_00]: And then Jeremy Fowler says the Niners make a lot of sense.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_00]: And that he thinks the Niners are a reasonable landing spot for Vita Vaya.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think about, you know, one, I have a hard time picturing Jason Ligt, the General Manager for the for the Buck and Ears Trading Vivaet to the 49ers, but, you know, I also look at the situation and go, you know what we don't know if Rahim Morris likes Alfred Collins or likes CJ West and one of you doesn't.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_00]: You know, one of those guys is taking the second round.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_00]: The other guy is taking the fourth round.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_00]: What if you could trade one of your in in combat young defensive tackles that you don't think is a fit with a draft choice and get Vita Via?
- 50:31[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Alfred Collins and a fourth for VivaVa, would you do it?
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: VivaVa makes more than Alfred Collins, but he also is a better player than Alfred Collins.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_00]: And better past Russia for sure.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think of the VivaVa talk?
- 50:46[SPEAKER_00]: Is it just talk or do you think it's viable?
- 50:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know, from three different sides you have to look at trades is what always go back to.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_01]: Does it make sense for the 49ers, the player in the opposing team.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_01]: Vivaia wants out the bucks are dumpster fire.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_01]: They chose Todd Bowles over the locker room.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_01]: Mike Evans took less money to go elsewhere.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_01]: The Vonte David retired.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't sign Baker may feel to the extension like they thought to now you got the Vivaia.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_01]: hold in, taking place.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the bucks have been very adamant.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_01]: They are not trading him.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: They are not having those discussions.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_01]: They are not whatever.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_01]: So from their sides, no, I don't think it makes sense for the bucks.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_01]: But having disgruntled captain in the locker room is not a good look.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_01]: And he tweaked his back during the conditioning test, which is just doing the holding.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it is now.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's way better than Alfred Collins.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm an Alfred Collins guy.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: You know that.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_01]: But he's completely different.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_01]: Vita Vaya is a plugger pass rusher whereas Alfred Collins is a runstuffer
- 51:53[SPEAKER_01]: Possibly could contribute to past rush later on down the road, but he's not there.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_01]: And Alfred Collins and I healthy it's hard to trade players that are injured that just doesn't happen very often in the NFL now if you ask me Alfred Collins and a fourth round pick for Vita Vaya hell.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I'm president of the Alfred Collins like fan club.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I love that dude.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but Vita Vaya
- 52:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know what Raheem Morris, if he likes it, I'd tell him right now every defense of coordinator in the NFL likes Vivaia.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_01]: He is
- 52:24[SPEAKER_01]: very unique now.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's overpowered.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_00]: Mooney.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_00]: Don Pony last year.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_00]: Tampa.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: I got everyone.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_01]: That was a clinic.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's different man.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's 31 and you're getting an $18 million one year expiring contract and he wants more money.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_01]: So are you willing to give up Alfred Collins a fourth up that to 25 million for I don't know he's 31 this season.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to sign them for a three year deal at 25 million.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like what does that look like that complicates things further?
- 52:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, the 49ers should be interested.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_01]: The offer I would give, I would offer a third round pick this year and a fourth round conditional that could become a third and I would throw in a position like a Tatum Bethoon or something where the Niners kind of have a plethora corner back.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_01]: I would throw it in eight Hobbes.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_01]: I would throw it in something along those lines.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_01]: That's the way I would look at it, at least that's where I would start.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_01]: But if it got up to Alfred Collins in the fourth, it's funny because in my notes, that's about as far as I would go.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_01]: I would not do Alfred Collins in the third.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not trading in a first round pick.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not giving a 2027.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_01]: Second round pick either now if they wanted a 2028 second and that's it.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_01]: I would do that.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_01]: I would do that But I would not give up a second for this upcoming draft.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_00]: I hear you.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_00]: I hear you.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's it's the money is a big part of it If you're willing to pay the money
- 53:51[SPEAKER_00]: a lot of times you can get a pretty good deal on the player as far as the trade.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_00]: All right, two last thoughts and then we'll bolt for the door.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_00]: Smarter for the 49ers this summer to trade match zones and keep Curtis Rook as the number two long-term backup or to go with a
- 54:16[SPEAKER_00]: Instead, if you had to trade, match zones or Curtis work, you couldn't keep them both.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see the 49ers going with three quarterbacks.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_00]: I really don't think they're going to go with two.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_00]: Would you rather go with the, you know, the guy who's ready to go right now in Jones and trade away the potential of rock or would you rather trade away the for sure back up that's going to play well and roll long term with work as you're kind of long term back up to pretty what if I have to make this decision before the 53 man cut down I'm trading Curtis work and keeping Mac Jones the only way I'm letting Mac Jones out this door.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_01]: is if it is a teddy bridge water, you know, play off competing team, you're going to break over the coals and you're going to make them over pay.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_01]: That is the like I am not offering up Mac Jones this time.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_01]: It just doesn't make sense to me now closer to the trade deadline if that happens now Worst comes to worst you keep Mack Jones all year.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_01]: He signs to elsewhere You get a fourth round compensation pick in the 2028 draft, but you got a year of Mack Jones and I'm okay with that because of Trent Williams George Kittle Christian McAfrey these older experience vets the Brock party entry won't ruin the season So I would prefer
- 55:37[SPEAKER_01]: If you're asking me right now, Larry, I'm saying right away Curtis, but man, the idea of trading away Mac, if a team is just, oh, God forbid, you never want injuries to happen anywhere, but a playoff caliber team loses their quarterback and they call in their like look, we're going to give you a second rounder in the 2027 draft, which is loaded.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm taking that trade.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'm taking that trade.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm taking that trade, but I don't think that's on the
- 56:06[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'd be, I agree with you.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'd move, I'd move, I'd move work and I think there's a very good chance at work is going to play really well because it's a fight for today, right?
- 56:16[SPEAKER_00]: We look great today.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_00]: Not only that.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_00]: He's accurate.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's big.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's been in the offense for a couple of years.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_00]: He now kind of knows what he's doing.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like he's going to play well in the preseason.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_00]: If you're Indiana, are you're Indianapolis and you're sitting there going, hmm, I can have a guy from Indiana.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_00]: While Daniel Jones gets right.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that might, the colds might be a perfect team and ballard and linch of a great ballard would do it too because that dude just makes terrible choices.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, I'll say this.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, how about Curtis work in a draft pick for a lot to, you know, if the four netters are looking for another russia and a lot to, uh, it's awesome, would be a nice way to go.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go bold prediction.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_00]: We'll finish with a bold prediction.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_00]: And it doesn't have to be nine or related.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_00]: It can be NFL related.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_00]: Is there a team that you don't like?
- 57:06[SPEAKER_00]: Is there a team that you do like?
- 57:10[SPEAKER_00]: I have a team that I think is going to be disappointing.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I got a team that I think is going to be a huge, going to have a huge year.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I go straight to the NFC North.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_01]: That division is just wild to me.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think the Detroit lines are making the playoffs really I don't and like I know everybody loves their coach and there's so many great players there.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_01]: I am worried to death about that defense and their depth is just not there.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think they might have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL and they are just losing guys like crazy.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_01]: And again, yeah, I
- 57:54[SPEAKER_01]: I know and everybody loves the Lions because Dan Campbell, I get it, I get it, I get it, but that division is bonkers, man, and if the Vikings get that quarterback situation figured out, and you just get adequate play from Kyler Murray, which I think they will, I'm going to say it, and I could be wrong, and that's okay, and hold it over my head, I'm not a Lions, you know, guy, I don't break down all their film and all that stuff, but man, I think the Lions could be in for a rude way, by the way, they finished fourth
- 58:24[SPEAKER_00]: finish last and then remember to sort of tie for us.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Rams are going to miss the playoffs.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Rams are really, really thin.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_00]: Um, the Rams, you know, I think, I think the Rams are thin, I mean, I think the Rams are thin on the offense.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're thin on the defense.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're just a thin football team.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_00]: If they lose two or three guys, I think they could be, they can really regress.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I like the Rams to be a disappointment.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_00]: And the team that I think is going to be huge this year.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_00]: I like the Niners to take on the Buccaneers in the NFC championship game.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_00]: I just look at Tampa Bay, okay.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: They said goodbye to Mike Evans, but they picked up Ted Hurst.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_00]: Ted Hurst was my favorite receiver in the draft, and then you still have Ted's Johnson, and you got Godwin, and you got Jalen McMillan, and of course, you got a Mecca egg bookah.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_00]: You got a really good offensive line, Tristan Worst, a left tackle, Graham Barton at center, Cody Mock at right guard, Luke Kadecki at right tackle.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get offensive line.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and then you got K-Dotten, pain Durham, uh, the rookie bow or sharp at tight end, Baker at quarterback.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a big Baker fan.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_00]: You got a really good running back in buckierving, then you picked up an underrated running back.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think in Kenneth Gainwell.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_00]: So they've got I think they've got some nice things offensively and then defensively this team added Ruben Bane Jose Trotter and Kiyonte Scott and I think that might be the best lineman linebacker and DB
- 59:57[SPEAKER_00]: all in one draft.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think this is like their Warren Sapt Eric Brooks draft.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_00]: Ruben Bane.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_00]: That guy's awesome.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_00]: Josiah Trotter is a total difference maker.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_00]: And you look at that front that guy collides you can't see.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, a VAS days we'll see, but you also got, yeah, you got Diabie, you got Antoine Windfield, Benjamin Morrison from Notre Dame in Year 2, Jacob Parish, Kiyanti, Scott, you got some really good players.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_00]: Really good.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_00]: They brought in
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_00]: uh, I think that's a good nice little pickup.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, so defensively, you know, it's Todd Bowles and his three four front, but he added Ruben Bane to his front.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think that's huge.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the bucks have good weapons and a good offensive line.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're a very complete football team.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Buccaneers will host the 49ers in the NFC championship game in Tampa.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_00]: dude, we had it.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_01]: If they do, I will be there, our tailgate spot.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be there too.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty bad ass there, Tampa Bay.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_01]: We've had a good time there.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_01]: So you're thinking they're going to keep V-divaya then, obviously, right?
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, I also like some of the guys
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_00]: Elijah Simmons.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you've got some pretty decent defensive line in there, and you also have Elijah can't see and you've got, you know, Antoine are, uh, Aishon Robinson.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_00]: You got Ruben Bane.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they got some good defensive ends too.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_00]: David Walker was hurt last year, but he's going to be healthy.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, yes, I I can have a lot of very guys like you know, we did draft content every year together They take a lot of my guys.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they got a lot of your guys over there, man.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_00]: I loved Kianti Scott to Monta K. Park, Ruben Bane Just I had Trotter.
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean my god.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_00]: I mean that's and and
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_00]: I just thought that they just had an amazing draft.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think Jason Lick is one of the most underrated general managers and all of pro sports.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that guy's, he knows what he's doing, man.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, picked up Baker Mayfield for nothing.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he got his star running back bucky Irving in the fourth freaking round.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_00]: They're, they're good tight end, gotten fourth round pick, you know?
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_01]: But the Irvin went to pick right after a mallet and we stuff I believe.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_00]: This Ted Hurts kid from Georgia State is a stud.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_00]: And they got him in the third round.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I just, I think they had an unbelievable draft and when you have an unbelievable draft and you had stars, I think you get better and they had to me Scott Trotter, Bane, and Hurst are all star caliber draft choices in my opinion, so it's very winnable division.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_00]: So there you go.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_00]: So that's my bold prediction.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_00]: Rams missed the playoffs, Buccaneers, hosts the NFC Championship game.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_00]: I hope that happens.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_00]: Let's finish with this.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_00]: We got some supers and some gems, some jewels.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_00]: What can you explain to me the jewels?
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_01]: I wish I was smarter.
- 1:03:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's very kind.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_01]: And thank you, uh, meal ticket.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_01]: I know you're usually cussing me in the chat and I appreciate that.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, yeah, thank you for your generosity, my friend.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you there, meal ticket.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_00]: We also this one from old dirty, hungous, 440 jewels, uncoller.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I've heard that a lot from my kid this morning this week.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_00]: Thomas Selman, I love people saying the season is over in July.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_00]: Hello.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_00]: We did not.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_00]: We did not.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to say, um, this is not a super, but nine years under square worldwide.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_00]: Larry, your video today was amazing, which one I did a couple videos today.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_01]: One of the hardest work in man in the business man so much respect for you, but thank you, bro.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate you.
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_00]: Tom Crown, Ricky Pierce saw football crew maybe over.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_00]: He can't stay healthy.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_00]: I noticed.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_00]: I've noticed.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_00]: I've noticed.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_00]: We got this one from Tom Crown, Ricky Pierce saw, oh, we got that one.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we got this one right here.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_00]: We got this one from Uncle Rico.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_00]: Let's not forget Kyle with held info for 24 hours and is now the hero of the situation.
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean that's the other thing.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean that that was like
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_00]: We needed, I felt so bad that this woman was being blamed.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_00]: You could've, it came out on, you know, yesterday, you could've tweeted it like immediately.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_00]: You'd have to wait 24 hours.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_00]: If something terrible came out on me, I would like somebody to put a retraction out there immediately.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_00]: But there you go.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_00]: Tuna sub-thousand jewels equals goat trophy.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_00]: We got this one.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_01]: Don't pick up Ricky's fifth year option 97 used any players fifth year option by the way.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_01]: Every player they have extended after year three or they have released and they have never exercise and allowed a player to play on the fifth year option imagine if they let bread and I you play on the fifth year option.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_00]: Mads in the situation they would have been and if they just would have done that.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_00]: Oh man.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's a ringing indictment of their drafting.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it really is is Ricky Cynthia sin underscores Cynthia.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_01]: I sent the is Ricky's body fit for the NFL six foot 200 pounds is ideal It like he's never had knee issues before week four last year.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's the body.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's just I don't know
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, you know, it's a paint tolerance as John said the earlier though.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't miss a lot of time in college.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe it's just bad luck.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there are such things bad luck.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_00]: Jesse Sepulhu had two wasted years when he came out of college before he ever established himself and then became a near pro-near, a hall of fame or in a three-time super-roll champion.
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_00]: So it's, it can happen.
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_00]: It can happen.
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_00]: 9 or forever, fire or promote Lynch for Christ's sake, bad GM.
- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_00]: promote.
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_01]: Just one of them that's EM roll, which I would say Kyle Shanahan's general manager, every decision goes through Kyle, but yeah, I understand the comment.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's frustrating.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_00]: I know some of their their misses.
- 1:06:08[SPEAKER_00]: Bradley Lodge, 831, organization failure in choosing or neglecting to deal with Ricky's knee far far earlier.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_00]: What the fuck are they doing?
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_00]: Also, do they not know how to practice broken ribs with no pads?
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_00]: Come the fuck on.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_00]: Bradley sounds like me.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_01]: I have my burner out right there.
- 1:06:27[SPEAKER_01]: He sounds very frustrated.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Bradley.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_00]: We got this one Oscar.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_00]: Second and peer-saw for pickings.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_00]: Pickings is not there, can I guy?
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_00]: Pickings is not a nine-year.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_00]: Bay Area Chris, thousand jewels equals goat trophy.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Bay Area Chris.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to do it for us.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_00]: I said we're going to get out of here and an hour and we're an hour and six minutes.
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_00]: So we're a little bit beyond.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'll take it.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, seriously.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_00]: We'll do it.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_00]: We'll do it.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_00]: We'll take it and run with it.
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to do it for us.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks to John John.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_00]: What are you going to cook in what what actually before before we say goodbye.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think you give me a chance to promote the the rush events.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_00]: The tailgates and all the parties we do know is actually a picture of you from no We can put that I'll just do it when we let me show share the screen on this bad boy.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_00]: This is beautiful artwork like
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_00]: That looks really good.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the 49er rush road trip, Melburn, Australia, September 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 12th and 13th.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's a long trip.
- 1:07:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the road, the road to LA right there.
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_00]: We could go with that.
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_00]: Or we could close that.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_00]: And we also have down here.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_00]: Or did you no longer pin it?
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's not pinned.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you only get a pin one on there.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's the problem.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we'll go back to this one then.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, if you go to any 49ers road game, come party with us.
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_01]: We ran out venues and travel cities.
- 1:08:13[SPEAKER_01]: So the 49ers fans have a place to go.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers rushroadtrip.com.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna be in Australia, we're gonna be in Mexico City, we're gonna be in Dallas, Atlanta, Seattle, and probably gonna add another city, probably gonna be down in Los Angeles for that Chargers Thursday night game.
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_01]: So come party with us.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's gonna be good time.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers rushroadtrip.com.
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_00]: I was talking to Kev about traveling and he's like, dad, I think I want to go to Mexico City.
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, oh, okay, John's going.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_00]: We went up to go there.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_00]: Cast eight, three, six, six.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_00]: The jewels equate to money to the content creators, right?
- 1:08:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it does.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's digital currency that I don't know the direct translation, you know, euros to jewels to dollars, but I'm gonna figure it out.
- 1:08:57[SPEAKER_00]: Excuse me.
- 1:08:58[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for your generosity, everybody.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for your generosity.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, that's going to do it for us.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks to John, thanks to all of you.
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_00]: Have a great night.
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely follow John on X and travel with him this year.
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to be at a couple of his parties for sure.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks to John, thanks to all of you.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_00]: Have a great night.
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_00]: Check me out tomorrow morning with Greg Cocell.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_00]: Also, I'll be on tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. with Greg Silver sitting for Greg Papa on KMBR.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_00]: And then Friday morning, believe it or not, I'll be doing the KMBR morning show.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_00]: from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. so I got a lot going on the next couple days.
