Expert says parametric insurance could be an option to protect against landslides in Southeast
Landslides are a part of life in Southeast Alaska, but often not included in traditional insurance policies. The Southeast Alaska Landslide Information Preparedness Partnership, or SLIPP, is a coalition dedicated to reducing landslide risk and impacts in the region. On Thursday (7-30-26) the group heard from insurance experts on a new option they say is worth exploring.
