Cardboard Boats Race for Charity | Wilmington News
Get ready for the fifth annual Dinghy Dash — where teams of two race in homemade cardboard boats across Dutchman Creek! Happening August 1st from 10 AM to 3 PM at Dutchman Creek Park, entry is just a $10 donation of non-perishable food (all goes to future drives). Boats must be made of cardboard, duct tape, and glue. Safety first: bring your own life jacket, and helmets for kids 12 and under. There’s a youth division for two kids under 12, and mixed teams go in the adult division.
