- 2:14I have her name by itself hand me like who is this? So see
- 2:21how to light this beaming down on me? We're gonna put the spotlight on
- 2:23her? So everyone welcome. I'll guess miss Waterfall Adams. Come on up,
- 2:30girly, I'm here, thanks for having me, so just like this
- 2:35spotlight on me, it's trying to put that spotlight on you. So thank
- 2:39you for joining and see book Gauvin friends, So I start off every broadcast
- 2:45scene you have to tell us about you. Well, I was born in
- 2:51Paduca, Kentucky and raising Mobile, Alabama. I don't have assaultiates. The
- 3:00reef from Bishop State Community College right here. Okay, okay, I got
- 3:08it after I graduated from high school. Y'all see that. That's beauty and
- 3:15brains. Beauty and brains. Well, after I graduated from Bishop, I
- 3:22transferred to University of South Alabama. Well, I have a degree and oh
- 3:30oh that's my transcript and art history for old mother part of the transcript,
- 3:36I'm sorry, and art history with a minor and dramatic arts. Oh oh,
- 3:43the one from Bishop. It's in general education, you know, to
- 3:46get the basics out of the way. So an offscript question, why art?
- 3:55I love the arts? I did want a major drama, but then
- 4:00again, you know the art history part, you know, kind of like
- 4:02a backup plan just in case the like modelling acting career don't work out for
- 4:09me. I still want to model and act. It's just I need to
- 4:14remember to hit like head shots, make take more acting classes to be better
- 4:18at my craft. Okay, everyone, she says she needs some head shots
- 4:24and she needs some some some little acting lessons, so y'all know, get
- 4:28at her we'll have all her information about her and her books at the end
- 4:32of the broadcast. Okay, so your books. Tell me about your latest
- 4:40because I understand that you have a book that recently came out or is about
- 4:44to come out. Well, this one it came out two years ago,
- 4:48and this one came out last summer, and word book and researching working on
- 4:57and researching for like more book because these are like non poetic books, books
- 5:04like some based on like like true crime and true It's kind of another book
- 5:11I'm working on right now. It's called Make Money While Sitting on Your Ass,
- 5:15where the work as part is spelled in the the s as spelled in
- 5:23the US dollar Spercy symbol. Like I love that. I love that.
- 5:30So what made you want to write that book? Well, it's like my
- 5:34whole like my experience is like the job Markeket like looking for jobs and the
- 5:42twenty twenty pandemic and yeah, also how I notice how things were like changing
- 5:50and like the job market or whatever, and oh yes, and how AI
- 5:57is changing things like most I saw some online talking about outdated job career advice.
- 6:06You know what, I've heard that a lot. I am a librarian
- 6:11specialist my vote called me a librarian, and I hear that our career is
- 6:17so outdated, but I tell people, you would be shocked how many people
- 6:23actually come to a public library and needs so much help. And I've worked
- 6:30with the AI doing content creation. It can help and it can hurt,
- 6:36but I always say, we will always have to remember humans. So as
- 6:42much as we think AI can, you know it can help, but you
- 6:46always need that human, you know what I'm saying, Just like you don't
- 6:51need like AI artificial intelligence to do your hair. Yes, yes, saying,
- 6:59okay you So let's get to this name Waterfall. Why Waterfall? Well,
- 7:06there's plenty of people who have my government full name, and Waterfall stands
- 7:14out more to me. And also I bring like an old interview Kings baby
- 7:21Face Edmns. He was talking about back when he was like a band he
- 7:26was in after graduated from high school called man Child, and they called just
- 7:31how he know how he like he played acoustic guitar? Well, man Child,
- 7:36it was like a something band that he was in back in the seventies
- 7:41and they let more pork and he's more like it was like more acoustic guitar,
- 7:46and they called what he played like waterfall music, so that kind of
- 7:49stuff. Okay, okay, So tell us about your latest and like a
- 7:57record is called Free to BV. That's correct. Well, that's about freedom,
- 8:03race, womanhood, origin and a tribute point by one of my poetic
- 8:09inspirations. And who would that be? My Angelou? Yes, baby,
- 8:18yes, my angeloved, the queen herself. What draws you to maya angelin?
- 8:26I I think I remember when I was little there was like a commercial
- 8:33and then back in the nineties it was either for McDonald's or NUBLEACP or do
- 8:39you not a Negro college? But I need to see a lot of you
- 8:43see those, a lot of those commercials back in David, you're not a
- 8:45negro college? Fun healt it's my minus terrible thing in the waste. Yes,
- 8:50those don't think? I remember a point from her called still I Rise?
- 8:56Yes, yes, so I understand because she is bless her her soul
- 9:03that she is, you know, gone from this world. About her work,
- 9:07it actually is here and it's here to stay. So genres, let's
- 9:15talk a lot some about book genres. You say you have one that you're
- 9:20writing right now, and you say that is if I'm not mistake you said,
- 9:24like a true crime. Well, that's one of the books is a
- 9:30true crime making man on singing her Ass is not a true a crime book
- 9:35clap Killers that I'm working on is I really gotta do to research because it's
- 9:41based on the case of your London Holmes and Qualmain Wilson. Oh, never
- 9:48heard about that. I apologize you guys. I apologize. I'm gonna make
- 9:52it work. There you go. Can you tell us a little bit about
- 9:56with you if you can? Can I understand some books you how to keep
- 10:00top secret because they're that there. But if you can't, can you tell
- 10:01us a little bit more about the new one? Yes, Well it's a
- 10:05bottle local Chicago rapper and Qualmain Wilson and his mother lan the homes. She
- 10:13used to run a hairsh of Salona called nappy Heads. Oh okay, well
- 10:24this is a true crime. It really happened where like his mom was that
- 10:28like cutting him off financially. So he got a couple of his friends,
- 10:33like like one guy his name was like Eugene Spencer had him like getting the
- 10:39house and kill her. Qualma ain't talking about one? Sure that bitch is
- 10:43dead? And also well the Eugene didn't know that her boy that Yolanda's boyfriend
- 10:52was home that night and he got to a buffle. Oh my god,
- 10:58then when is this what gonna be out? Yeah? This was this happened
- 11:01about at over a decade ago and he got oh again, it's like it
- 11:09was a YouTube video a qualm main like he going into a bank and getting
- 11:15money from like his mother's account or whatever. You know you heard that term
- 11:18like you know, making rain. Yeah. Yeah, they were like we're
- 11:22outside his sands or whatever. We're outside and he was like making it rain
- 11:28on them. They're all getting this money and stuff. And also they were
- 11:31showing pit of this bold money showing it was like pictures of him social media
- 11:35and slotting his money and like card and like designer like Louis want of luggage
- 11:46and stuff, talking about his American money's farm money, just all flopping on
- 11:52it. He had like thousands dollars and you know how much he paid the
- 11:56hit man. Huh No, don't tell us. You gotta mean something for
- 12:00us to read this book. Why do you think this one will be out?
- 12:05Yeah, I'm really gonna do more Yal research before. I've had some
- 12:11things writing down. Just I need to do more research, maybe even do
- 12:16an interview with the primary sources. For example, Kwamin Wilson or Leon not
- 12:24Helana She she didn't have you, j Spencer and the getaway driver. If
- 12:31they're willing to talk, Okay, okay, well you guys were gonna take
- 12:35a little break real quick, and we're gonna come back and we're gonna finish
- 12:37fine, and now some more about Miss Waterfall Adams come back, you guys.
- 12:43I'm a dance of their music. Why are we taking a break?
- 12:50I survived being shot point blank range with a sawed off shotgun. Join me
- 12:54and share your story of survival only thirty three dollars thirty three cents. Book
- 12:58drops in October types they got to got to go. I'm go a run
- 13:11a flip, the set it to retur with one with a little touch to
- 13:15lates first lace first first, we said that the late Okay, you guys,
- 13:35so I'm sorry, y'all call me dancing that last commercial. Make sure
- 13:39you go back and you watch it because that contains everybody that's going to be
- 13:45on sc book out in French chat for the remainder of the month. And
- 13:50yes, Happy birthday, fiftieth birthday to hip hop. Yes, I am
- 13:54a hip hop head. I love it. And because I had all these
- 13:58lad these, I had to put the ladies first name. So we are
- 14:05back. We're back everyone. When miss Waterfall Adams, oh, I'm sorry
- 14:09you guys. So look at that, guys, Look what she has in
- 14:15her hand. That's a copy of Tree to Be Be and a copy of
- 14:20The Electric Mind of the so Be Collecting. I'm sorry that title was the
- 14:26one that got in. So you can you tell me a little bit about
- 14:30that one. Well, this one is my debut self published book. It's
- 14:35about the arts, blackness and first century issues. Is it was against some
- 14:41personification poems in there too, okay, so why poetry? Oh it didn't
- 14:50want to write a book one day and some of these poems I put this
- 14:54spoken word on is in broke More pub which a kind of sell out the
- 15:00book. Enough books, you know, so why not? It's it's a
- 15:03long time in making it have to. I had to learn more about like
- 15:09self, different types of publishing there, self publishing and be traditional hot hybrid.
- 15:20So you think you're living in today, so it would be self publishing
- 15:24to be easier. Do you feel that self publishing was the best way for
- 15:31you to go because a lot of authors I see get a little bit of
- 15:35discourage when it comes down to self publishing. Let's say, how was your
- 15:41role with self publishing? Well, that's like a lot I had to learn
- 15:48about, like depending on the agitator, let's say KDP or Target or Cobo
- 15:54or Lulu, different agitators, they have different guidelines like let's say, like
- 16:03like the picture. Let's say it's gonna have a picture of yourself on the
- 16:06back of the book. It has to be like a certain when things.
- 16:11And also different files for the manuscript like doc, doc, eggs, PDL
- 16:19okay, okay. So it seems like it takes a lot of knowledge and
- 16:26a lot of patients to do the self publishing. Yes, it has.
- 16:32And also the traditional one if you guys send it too like a truth it
- 16:36like the traditional like publisher. You don't know if you're gonna get approved or
- 16:41not. Oh yes, yes, I I had someone come in my library.
- 16:45I want to say about a couple of weeks ago was doing in quarry
- 16:49letter And I've heard of those before, and I didn't know people still do
- 16:53those, So I totally understand that. So we're gonna have some fine with
- 17:00some questions. Okay, what do you like to do when you are not
- 17:07writing? Well? Reading? Since I've been doing that since I was two,
- 17:12singing, dancing, see Okay, if we had if we came to
- 17:22your house and we touch your MP three or we was to look at your
- 17:29playlist, can you name me two songs that would be on it? Well?
- 17:33Different birds are just Sitting on your Low by Stevie Wonder, Okay,
- 17:41different genres of music like R and B, hip hop, gospel, world,
- 17:48reggae, classical. Okay, You're like all well rounded, That's what
- 17:56I'm talking about. Okay, So here's another another question. What books do
- 18:03you enjoy reading? Books like entrepreneur worked from Home books, fictions and times.
- 18:18Okay, okay, So it looks like you have that entrepreneurial spirit inside
- 18:22of you. Either you're gonna make it do what it do. Huh,
- 18:26Yes, I will. And I see entreneurship or as a employment alternatives were
- 18:34trying to find a job. This is I work for myself and it's not
- 18:40like I'm doing thing illegal. Yes, you have to get creative now,
- 18:44and I think that's one of the best things that came out of the pandemic
- 18:48was everyone's creativity. Everyone was able to tap inside to see that we all
- 18:55got talent. So let's go ahead and make it do what it do and
- 18:59put out the talent to work for us especially, it was like a crazy
- 19:03year. That year brought back the nineteen eighteen Spanish influenza pandemic, the nineteen
- 19:14thirties break depression, and the nineteen sixty's we sport Riots. Yes, that
- 19:22was the year of everything happening and all like we sing at the crew,
- 19:27we had to stand on God, we stuck. And I remember and I
- 19:32was just looking at the news on my phone a couple of days ago,
- 19:36and they were saying, COVID is back. I'm like, one more lockdown
- 19:38please, No more lockdown please. No. I can't take it, especially
- 19:45my sister. She has at my nephew. She didn't hear it work and
- 19:51I had to hear. But with the virtual school and also it was too
- 19:56much. Paul Park, I hate that all. Wow, Yes, I
- 20:02put it like that. I had to homeschool my daughter. I'm still mad
- 20:06at her that I did not get a teacher appreciation gift. I think I
- 20:08deserved one teacher herself. She talf for twenty years and it's just the film
- 20:19has changed from where she first got her teaching degree. It's too much homework.
- 20:26I hate do with teachers. Do that they got degrade that? So
- 20:34I have some more questions. See are you definite? Like two more?
- 20:38Well? Go ahead, okay, So if you couldn't collaborate with any author,
- 20:45who would it be? And why? Well, it's I'm kind of
- 20:51hard to choose from. It's just so many authors that I like. Well,
- 20:56let's well, let's change that question. Let's nay what you like?
- 21:00I would this one book her written by Liz Ryan. It's called Reinvention road
- 21:07Map. Oh okay, okay, I've never heard it. I want Well,
- 21:12so how the workplace in the twenty first centuries like changing? And things
- 21:22that that apply for this older generations don't really work anymore? Right I can
- 21:29I can see that. I can see it. Well, we're coming to
- 21:32a close on the show. But if we are not gonna stop until we
- 21:36get all of your contacts where your books can be found, because we want
- 21:42to get you some readers, So go ahead and give us the rundown on
- 21:45how we can find it. Right before I do that, I would like
- 21:48to mention. President's a marketing agency. They've been helping a lot with the
- 21:56marketing and promotions, and you need from that with marketing promotions, go to
- 22:02that company. And I can be found on Facebook, Twitter often on us
- 22:08now oh yeah, Instagram, TikTok YouTube LinkedIn. Okay, and where can

- 22:41book as well, and hope part of agitators as well, like Books a

- 22:52them on there. Okay, okay, well you know miss Adams. Of
